I spent a total of $240 in contract and renewal for Frigidaire in the last four years and its microwave parts are not available. Electrolux said that they will replace the $250 microwave unit, but I have to pay $200 to have the new unit installed. They said that the installation of replacement unit is not specifically mentioned in the contract so its not covered. The contract says parts and labor are covered and it doesnt mention re-installation. I will go to Sears and buy a new unit and installation for $470 to replace the existing unit. Electrolux contract did not protect me or make me whole. Its a rip off.

I bought a new home last July of 2017 and had a allowance for the range. I wanted a dual oven so they let me upgrade to one. I paid the builder the difference from the allowance I was already paying. The oven has not worked since I got it. Electrolux (Frigidaire) made me go through 7 visits from repair companies (2) and neither could resolve the issue. Electrolux does not make the same model to replace it so I asked for my money back. They will not pay me the full amount but only the addition to my allowance which is only HALF what I paid for it!!! I sent in the paperwork to prove I paid that much and they still refuse. I have lost wages and gas from all the repair visits. I cannot replace my oven for what they will give me. Terrible, terrible company and customer service!!! They said in writing that they would refund the full purchase price.

This Range/Oven had all the features I was looking for. Besides looking great, the range has a fast boil feature which saves a lot of time. The oven is convection and has a roast mode which was high on my must have feature list. Oven consistently cooks evenly. Overall this Range/Oven is a wonderful addition to my kitchen. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for this appliance.

We purchased the top of the line icon series (Refrigerator, Microwave, Oven etc). Refrigerator and oven have been replaced once and microwave twice within 9 months!!! We had a very good services from the service company but the products are crap. The refrigerator still freezes veggies..... We usually dont take the time to write reviews but this time its too much and we hope that no one else will be fooled with the Electrolux products.

I bought a Bosch DW, had it installed and then discovered that it didnt have a rinse-only cycle! So, I went back to the store, upgraded to an Electrolux and had the two switched out (with extra unintended expense, by the way, as the Electrolux was just a bit taller and required that I have floor tile removed - and reinstalled - in order for it to fit). That was 4 years ago. I purchased the extended warranty, just in case. But before the original warranty expired, Id had problems with glassware being cloudy, and with a garbage odor inside the dishwasher any time used the rinse-only cycle. (I always scrape dishes before I put them in for rinsing.) Repairman could never find the reason for the odor; plumber verified that the installation was correct and no crimp in the drain line. Odor continued. After another complaint, this time because some items on the top shelf remained dirty, repairman noted that the upper spray arm was catching on the wand that supported it. Fixed it, but have had intermittent similar problems. Had not called for repair, mainly due to the inconvenience of scheduling and needing to be home for the visit, but also because of some health issues that for a while diverted my attention. Now, after a few months of finding one or two items on the top shelf looking as if hot water never reached them, I called once more. Surprise! My extended warranty expired last year!!! (Upon checking, I find that the e.w. on my Electrolux oven has expired, as well.) I was never notified of the need to renew either warranty! The customer service rep with whom I spoke about this earlier this week admitted that there had been a problem with their notification system, but suggested that I had the responsibility of keeping up with that sort of thing!! I will NEVER purchase another Electrolux product, which, by the way is nothing more than a dressed-up Frigidaire. I have Frigidaire front-loading washer and dryer, which I hate (washer door will not close properly and dryer never has dried sheets or towels on the first cycle!) and about which repairmen just make excuses. Stupid me, I didnt know that both brands were essentially the same. Bottom line, count me totally dissatisfied with both labels!!

We have had an Electrolux dishwasher for two years. It worked great until last week and started leaking. I called Electrolux and they stated it was not under warranty, which I knew, and they could send out a repairman. There would be an $89.95 upfront charge which would go against the labor. It was a minor repair on the drain line that took about 10 minutes. However, I had to pay another $87.02 for labor and parts. The $89.95, according to the technician, was a trip charge only. That was not how it was represented by customer service. I called back and talked to a manager that said maybe the rep I had talked to had stated it incorrectly, duh, and that they would educate them to be more specific. It was an intentional misrepresentation in my opinion and they should have know better. I could have called a local company and gotten it done much cheaper.

We purchased all new Electrolux appliances for our kitchen 2 1/2 years ago. Every appliance has been repaired since purchase, one replaced and two appliances are now on their 3rd or 4th repair (these are major repairs not minor). Electrolux has been making exceptions and paying for the repairs after hours spent documenting repeated problems and pleading with them to make good on their faulty products. Our range was rebuilt last week and tonight our dishwasher broke again, same computer panel as the last 3 times.I called Electrolux again, asked for assistance and they said Id have to call back tomorrow and speak with a supervisor, when I asked if a supervisor could please call me after they review our file they hung up on me... I couldnt believe it. I went on their website to contact them and their contact form is also down, the same experience each and every time Ive tried to contact them via email. This is the absolute worse experience weve ever come across.

In 2009, we purchased all Electrolux products from Lowes. BIG MISTAKE..... The oven/cook top is now receiving the 5th service call. Do not self clean this oven.... it can only take about 10 times and then one of the 8 boards will burn and fail. The fridge has had 4 service calls. The control board for ice maker fails once a year. The plastic shelves break. The Ice maker bin broke from ice dropping into it. The microwave has had one. The dishwasher has operated with no service calls but it is not as good at fully cleaning than others I have had in the past.Lowes is no help. Electrolux customer service has no ability to assist in persistent issues. They just say we need to purchase the warranty. We could have bought a new oven with the money we have paid on repairs and the cost of a warranty would by now paid for a new oven as well. 2 weeks ago the fridge was repaired. Luckily we have a 12 year old fridge in the garage that has never had service once as a back up. Our gas grill is our back up when we need oven/cook top service once a year.

Almost from the beginning this refrigerator has had problems. The ice maker continues to be non functioning as well as the interior lights. Customer Service is good at one thing saying Im sorry. I have put more money into this appliance than any other I have purchased over the past 30+ years. I purchased a new switch hoping that would resolve the lights not working, however it looks as though the board is defective. In order to fix the ice maker and the circuit board, we are looking at approximately 1500.00.At this point, I am better off to purchase another refrigerator, obviously not this brand. You spend more money on quality products and this has been one time where this wasnt the case. If you look at all the reviews, Electrolux obviously needs to go back to the drawing board because consumers arent happy and the issues seem to be the same i.e. ice maker. This refrigerator is only about 6 years old and when you spend 3500 you expect it be in good working condition for many years to come.

I wish I would have found this website before purchasing the refrigerator 4 years ago. I will never buy another Electrolux product again. The ice maker has never fully worked since we got the refrigerator. Contacted Electrolux when it was still under warranty. The service company came out. Said it was the control board and that they would replace it. Never heard from them again and got busy. Finally the ice maker stopped working altogether about a year ago. I think the biggest problem with these appliances is that they are not made in the USA. This refrigerator was made in Mexico -- you get what you pay for -- low wages, low quality. When are we going to learn? Cheap labor is never better. As with Electrolux they have lost and will lose a lot of business due to these problems. Did they really save a lot of money seeking out a lower labor cost country? I will make sure my next appliance is made in the USA.

We bought a Frigidaire self cleaning ceramic glass cooktop range in June of 2018, one month after the warranty period my wife turned on oven to preheat it. After about 3 min, she heard a loud popping sound and the breaker in the house tripped! She opened the oven and after the smoke cleared she saw a quarter sized melted hole in bottom of the oven. We knew the warranty was over so we called an appliance repairman to look at the stove. He found that the bottom element shorted and burned a hole in bottom pan and the convection fan was burned out! All the parts that needed to be replaced could not be located in Canada! These are very dangerous appliances! Stay away! The model number of the stove is CGEF3037TFC.

I called your 1-800-265-8352 number because the dryer I just purchased on December 20, 2021 and tried using for the first time yesterday (there was a delay in using the machines because a plumber was required to hook up the washing machine due to where the drain is in our house) and I discovered that there is no heat in the dryer and its not drying my clothes. I called Canadian Appliance store where I purchased the washer/dryer and they told me to call the number I mentioned. I called, waited 20+ minutes to talk to someone and when they answered there was so much static on the line it was difficult to hear. I have been on the phone for over 2 hours today. I have given the serial number, my name and address multiple times. At first the representative told me it was no longer under warranty, now hes trying to create an account and has given me an account number. Needless to say, this is extremely disappointing customer service. Apparently, a technician will be calling me tomorrow to arrange a time to come, however, given the questionable service so far and extremely poor audible quality I have no confidence that I will actually hear from someone. I tried emailing Electrolux.ca but my email was denied?! There does not seem to be a way of communicating with anyone from customer service. I tried calling again to verify an account had been created and that someone would be calling me tomorrow and that person disconnected the call. I tried calling again to verify and all 3 times it was almost impossible to hear the person on the line because of static and echo. My experience is not good. What are you willing to do to save rectify this?

We purchased an Electrolux front load washer-dryer from Lowes Home Center on 05/14/11. We also purchased an extended protection, 4 year plan at that time.We have had problems ever since we purchased the washer. It will not drain the water. We contacted Lowe’s, and they sent a repair technician to check the machine. We have had 4 or 5 service technicians in all to come out. The machine still will not drain. One technician told us our drain pipe was too tall, so I cut the pipe to the height I was told it needed to be. The machine worked for two and a half loads and stopped draining. The last technician said because we have a septic tank, we had to put in a p-trap to keep back flow air from stopping the machine from draining. I installed the trap. It still will not drain. My wife called the technician again and was told this was not their problem. They told her that they could not keep coming out to our home. What can we do about this problem?

I purchased an Electrolux refrigerator 4 years ago based on many trips to appliance centers who all recommended this brand. I have had both a GE refrigerator and Whirlpool in the past with virtually no issues. The water paddle has failed twice (only my husband and I live here). There is no replacement for just the paddle so you have to buy the entire water dispensing system. The board control went out in 11/2011 and now the same board needs to be replaced again for the price of $400-$500 with service. I called Electrolux who told me to buy an extended warranty yearly for the price of $196. I will never ever buy another Electrolux product again. It makes me wonder if this company was paying higher commissions on their products than their competitors due to so many people stating they heard it was the best appliance from so many sales people.

We purchased an Electrolux gas oven in 2013 and in October 2014, the ignition stopped working. The appliance was still under warranty and a technician came out to repair it. A month later, it stopped working again and just before Christmas a technician came again to fix it. We had to call them out 4 times by which time the ovens warranty had lapsed, so not only did they not fix it, they sent us an invoice for repairs they had not actually competently done. The technician who comes is rude and aggressive and clearly cannot fix the problem. I believe we purchased the EFLS617SIW washer and received it in June 2016. Less than 3 months of use, a chunk of the seal tore off. We called a service technician from the alliance company and they were sending someone out to take a look. Once he arrived almost two weeks later, he was shocked at how big the tear was, said he couldnt believe I hadnt had more problems with it, but said customer service didnt put in an order for a seal so he was putting it in that day and would be back next week to install it.I was using the machine in the meantime because one, tiny drop would randomly run down the front of the washer so I put a towel under the washer just to be safe. Three weeks after that visit, the clean washer cycle was run at 4 am and my husband went to bed. I woke up at 7 am to cold water all over the floor (and our clean laundry which was on the floor) in our hallway. I cleaned up the water. 12 hours later I realized the subfloor under our new LVP flooring was swelling. Noon the next day I realized water was in our finished basement. Everywhere! In a panic, I called a restoration company who came out and realized watery had soaked into our bathroom floor, our bedroom, our kitchen subfloor, plus into the ceiling of the basement in two large sections of the basement, our basement bathroom, carpeting in two rooms in our basement, etc. It was soaking into the door frames of rooms and more.I called Electrolux and the woman I spoke with acted new, wouldnt let me speak with a supervisor stating all they would do is assign a complaint number since it is late Friday, and stated they have no emergency department I could speak with. She advised to contact the Risk Management Dept or someone would be contacting me in 2 to 4 business days. By the way, Risk Management does not have a direct line, Customer Service will have to transfer me. I have no idea how this will turn out but I am panicked they will not care. Meanwhile, our house is unlivable while we have 15 commercial drying machines and dehumidifiers in our house but we have to try to exist there.

French door refrigerator - This has been the worst appliance ever created.
French door refrigerator - This has been the worst appliance ever created. We purchased in the late Fall of 2011. Very soon the plastic grey trim popped off the freezer door for no reason. Just two adults live here so no wear and tear. Not happy about it but taped it on until finally giving up on tape holding. Customer services response was lame and we were not willing to pay for their ridiculous fix so I would have to live with this aesthetic. Then we began having issue after issue with the ice maker. Grinding noise, not making ice or it all freezing together -- on and on and it never got fixed. Repairman has been out 3 times in past 2 months. He was back yesterday and we pulled the fridge from the wall and we were horrified. The back had a big block of ice protruding. It had sweated and rusted out the entire back panel. The insulation was shot. This is nothing more than a boat anchor now. We paid a lot of $ for an appliance that didnt even last 6 years and weve hated it since about a month after purchasing. We have lawyers in the family and were planning on initiating a class action suit. I would use an Igloo cooler before I would ever consider an Electrolux refrigerator or anything! They dont stand by their product and they shouldnt be allowed to get away with these continued issues. The fridge should be banned from further production and the company should close its door if they cannot remediate the problems and compensate customers for these losses. We now have to buy a new fridge after spending approx $4000 less than 6 years ago.

It was absolutely horrible. I will never buy another Electrolux product and I will never recommend or suggest them to a client to buy their product. I purchased a French door Electrolux fridge at the hefty price of $3,700. The ice maker never worked and after numerous visits and parts ordering over the next 2 months, it was discovered that the inside was dented to the point that the electronic parts that had failed could not be replaced. The appliance company replaced it with a new Electrolux. Four months later, the ice maker stopped producing ice and water started leaking onto the floor from the water dispenser. Two months later, after 4 visits by the appliance company service department, a gasket left of the fridge seemed to be the culprit.I ordered that rubber gasket and 3 weeks later, it showed up. The appliance company came out to replace it but its the wrong gasket. That was 4 weeks ago. I just got a call from them and the correct replacement gasket will be delivered within 5 days. Now, we are going on more than 4 weeks to get that rubber gasket and who knows if its the right one. Thats almost 2 months total waiting for the correct gasket! Im stunned that Electrolux is still in business with this kind of incompetency and bad manufacturing practices.

Four year old Electrolux French door refrigerator/freezer model #EI28BS65XS6 is sweating and rusting on the rear panel, mainly around the upper right hand corner behind the ice maker. I purchased a Rear Panel Kit (part #5303918657) for $199.98 + tax from Electrolux, who stated in an email to me that this ...kit is the only fix for this issue. Unfortunately, the kit includes a huge, thick, black pad that covers the entire rear panel of the refrigerator except for the vented area at the bottom. The water lines to the ice maker have to run over the pad.Unfortunately, the refrigerator will no longer fit in its customer enclosure, which Electrolux has informed me is my problem, as they will not be able to meet any requests for a replacement model, as the warranty for your current model has expired... I am guessing that Electrolux forgot to put insulation in the rear of the refrigerator. They apparently have not notified their customers of the issue either, as I only learned of the problem when I pulled the refrigerator out to clean it. (The ice dispenser quit long ago as well, but thats another story.)

Model EIFLW50LIW front load washer. Purchased June 2014. Had required (certified Electrolux) repairman (due to warranty) out several times within the first 12 months. The harness kept shaking loose and tumbler would go off balance and belt popped off. I had to wait a week or two for them to come out and then had to take off from work each time while they fixed it. The last time, they literally had all the parts on my kitchen floor and I asked them why Electrolux just did not send a new machine from the factory. Wasted 5 hours of my day, two repairmen 5 hours and I had to wait for them to come 10 days which meant going over to my mother-in-laws to do laundry. Now 12 months later the belt popped off again but I noticed that the washer was leaking. It revealed severe rubbing on the plastic which was worn through. This unit never made any rubbing noise, clanking and was not out of balance like the issue previously. I called Electrolux and told them that their certified repairmen obviously did something wrong and now it leaks and the harness shakes loose. All they could do for me is give me a break on parts. If your front load washer has belt or harness issues, demand a new one. Repairmen can make Band-Aid fixes only to a poorly manufactured item.

When we arrived and tried to use it for first time in November 2011, the machine would not even start. I contacted Electrolux in London and got referred to Brazilian side. I contacted Brazilian side and got referred to local service company. I contacted the service company, who immediately responded by sending a repairman the next day. The repairmen could not resolve the problem and promised to contact us back shortly once he obtains the diagrams for this particular type. I never heard back from him.I called again in January and got a new repairman. This one confirmed that two parts are faulty and must be obtained by them. I never heard back from him again. I contacted again in February, in March and in April. Nothing is being done. In fact, each time we call, the registration number they gave us the last time is incorrect, so we are told.So not only does Electrolux honor its warranty obligations, they do not deliver on promises. They also try to lie and cancel out warranty policies by providing incorrect record numbers. I bet that when we call end of April, when our warranty nearly runs out, they will not be able to assist as our warranty has run out. What a disgrace of a company!

Now, we are dealing with an ice maker that isnt working properly so we have ice building up on the back wall of our refrigerator which pushes the drawers out of their slides. We are now waiting for parts that are on backorder so our repair can be done. No worries, I can keep chipping ice off of the back of my brand new fridge! When you call Electrolux for a repair you end up speaking to people who never give you the same information about how or when the service appointment will happen. Their customer service is a mess and the real joke is that they ask you when you are finished setting up another appointment if you would like to take a survey to tell them how they are doing! Ha! Electrolux products, service and service providers stink and as a company they should be ashamed of themselves for making such crap products and charging so much for them! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for appliances. I mean really, how many days do you want to sit home from 8am-1pm or 1pm to 5pm waiting for repair work to be done? Lifes too short for that!

I own an Electrolux ICON, high-end Counter Depth refrigerator. The Ice Maker has NEVER worked properly. The fan keeps making noise and freezing up, and the ice maker refuses to fill. Ive checked every possible problem it could be, from water pressure to filter replacement and more. Something as simple as an Ice Maker / Dispenser should just work. Theyve been making ice makers for refrigerators for a long time. Its not rocket science. And, why is Electrolux able to simply ignore this problem without making it right for the customer(s), thousands of them unhappy and likely never to purchase another one again, due to horrible customer service and company unwillingness to fix the problem.

Im from Malaysia and am a user of Electrolux Washing Machine and dryer. Im very happy with both the machines until I encounter problem with my Dryer. It was making a loud sound and I quickly called Electrolux dealer AB First Trading in Shah Alam. The technician came and inspected my dryer. It took him merely 2 minutes of inspection and he told me that the motor is faulty and needed to change the entire motor system. On top of that, he told some belts are balding and needed to change as well. It will cost around RM800-RM1000 to have it changed. I was shocked. I didnt trust him so I asked another technician (not Electrolux dealer) to inspect my dryer. He opened the machine, and showed me a pile of dusts. After removing the pile of dusts, the loud sound disappeared! I was utterly shocked that the problem was only removal of dusts; not drum faulty, not motor, not belt! I felt cheated by AB First Trading but also relieved that I did not engage their service. However, Their sales staff kept harassing me and easily called me 20 times a day (at least) to ask for their labour charges. I was so mad as they cheated on me first and I refused to pay the labour charges. After all, the AB First Trading technician did not even open up the machine. he was just here listening to the sound. I wish Electrolux headquarter can do something about this as the experience are tormenting and the harassment is getting worse. My shop is a place doing business and I really hope the harassment can stop.

I purchased a new apartment sized washer dryer combo approximately 2 and a half years ago. It was always noisy when it was on the spin cycle but then the noise became unbearable so I called an authorized repair service. I was told the shaft was broken and it would cost $700 or more to repair and there was no guarantee it wouldn’t happen again, that cost me $100. I called and complained to Electrolux and they said all they would do was cover 20% of the cost of new parts which to me is next to nothing. So the lesson is if you buy from Electrolux get the extended warranty and good to you.

I purchased a side by side fridge at the end of 2009. Something leaked out of it, and ruined my slate floor in the fall of 2010. The repairman could not figure it out. On the third visit from another repairman for the fridge, after the control panel went up a second time, the leak was determined to come from the plug at the bottom of the door. Electrolux sent me paperwork to file a claim with their liabilities department, which I did at the beginning of October. To date, I have not heard back from them, and they will not return any calls, or emails. After spending thousands of dollars on appliances, you would think the customer service would be good. I cannot even begin to understand the total lack of customer service. I have done everything the liabilities department asked, and I would like a reimbursement for the damages to have them repaired.

We purchased this expensive refrigerator in January of 2014. The in freezer ice maker does not stop working even when the ice bin is full. When opening the freezer drawer the ice cubes get knocked off into the back of the freezer and when the drawer is closed the drawer gets knocked off. The drawer slides and the drawer will not close properly and is difficult to correct. The plastic fascia on the freezer door cracked and Electrolux will not offer any compensation to repair this manufacturing defect because it happened two months after the year warranty.

Upon installation by Electrolux technicians the next day, the freezer had a thumping sound and ice formations inside the door. We called the technicians who came several times, made some installations on the door, but never resolved the problems. Lately, Electrolux does not answer our calls, and we are unable to have this problem corrected, or receive a new freezer. The freezer has an air leak which has not been corrected and Electrolux has offered no new solution or help.

I was extremely excited to buy a set of supposedly quality washer and dryer
I was extremely excited to buy a set of supposedly quality washer and dryers made by Electrolux last year in March 2015. We purchased them from hhgregg in Lakeland, FL. Less than a year later the washer made a funny screeching noise and would not fully spin all the water out of the clothes. So thankfully it was under warranty being it was less than a year old. They sent a technician to look at the washer. (He was very nice) He said it was the drum and can order a new part and when it comes in we will come back out and replace it for you. He called in the repair, we were told it would be in the next week on a Monday. So Monday comes and goes. We called and they said the part didnt come in, it will be another week. This is extremely frustrating being we have a new born and have been washing clothes at a laundry mat and a neighbors house. SPENDING MONEY AT LAUNDROMAT!!! Finally after over 50$ in coins spent they came out on 03/15 and replaced some parts. Not only did one of the guys come to our house coughing and hacking all over the place they left scratches on the front of the washer!!! So guess what??? My baby gets a cold, no one is sick in our house and still she is fighting it. Im so upset at this whole ordeal. So even worse!!! TODAY the washer starts making the same sound, this time I recorded it on my phone to show the technician. About less than a minute after recording the spin cycle which is the last cycle... I walk out to the kitchen which is right off the laundry room, I start to smell smoke!!! Like something is burning! I go back into the laundry room and theres smoke coming from the damn washer. I panic and hit cancel, run to the living room, grab my daughter and my phone, run outside and called my husband who called the fire department. The fire department just left and my husband is the phone with hhgregg since our warranty ran out on 03/28/2016. They said OH WELL! My house would have burned down if I didnt hit cancel. We did purchase an extended warranty through hhgregg so we will see what happens. I am terrified to use these machines! I have pictures, video, and a report from the fire department. I will keep everyone updated. I no longer want these machines in my home. I will be returning both units to hhgregg even if we just drop them off. We are being handed back and forth from hhgregg and Electrolux at the moment. This was a very scary event today and we are being treated like no one wants to touch the washer because it caught on fire. Cannon Appliance Service said they want nothing to do with the repair anymore, call hhgregg. We are being told they have to come out and look at it and make sure it wasnt OUR FAULT their machine caught on fire. Thats where we are at, they are coming on Monday 04/04/16 to check it out. The fire department put the washer outside on our driveway. I have a video of the washer and you can actually see smoke starting to come out of the machine which I didnt notice till I watched the video just now.

DON’T EVER BUY ELECTROLUX APPLIANCES! September 2015 is when we purchased a new Electrolux dishwasher to replace our very old dishwasher probably over 30 years old. Never had a problem with the old dishwasher. It served its purpose but could not run anymore. We were excited to buy a new dishwasher hoping that it would sanitize and clean dishes better. Since we got the new Electrolux dishwasher in September 2015, it has broken down 6 times. Also does not clean well and I rinse everything before I place in dishwasher. It’s only 2.5 years old. Called Electrolux over 20 times getting it repaired and begging them to replace the dishwasher because we were sold a lemon. Every time they denied replacing it. There are a few inconsiderate rude Electrolux agents that I talked to and lied to me. I have been lied to many times by Electrolux agents and they keep their stories straight. I record everything; calls, notes, confirmation numbers. Horrible customer service!

Two stars is too high but Im past angry, just very dissatisfied with my Electrolux appliances. Ive had major problems with my dishwasher. Within several months and after numerous replacements of the control panel, I was already on my third dishwasher. Its working now but it does a questionable job of cleaning. Some of the dishes come out dirtier than they went it. My inexpensive GE did a better job and in ten years I never had a repair issue. The dishwasher now just sits there looking pretty as Im no longer using it. I love my induction range... when it works. At 23 months not one, but two control panels went out. Electolux agreed to cover parts which Im told would have been a couple thousand. I paid a few hundred for the service technician. Repairs took approximately six weeks. Before and after the replacement I find myself making frequent visits to the electric control box to flip the switch and wait while the range reboots. This is extra irritating when I think food prep is almost done only to find the range top or oven is not working. Between the dishwasher and range I estimate Ive had 18 service calls. Each one of them forcing me to take anywhere from two to four hours of uncompensated time away from work. Ive not had any major problems with the refrigerator except that its poorly designed. When you close the freezer drawer, ice slides over the back of the container preventing the drawer from closing. We keep a yardstick nearby to slide the ice out as the opening is too tight to reach our arms in. Guests have needlessly apologized for closing the drawer too hard. Please! The filters need frequent replacement and are expensive. Our salesperson made no mention of this foreseeable cost. And the darn alarm doesnt work when the drawer is open (because of ice thats slid where its not suppose to) and the ice cream is melting; but it goes off in the middle of the night, screaming for me to come turn it off, when all that happened is the electricity went out for a few seconds. The range hood works okay but its noticeably louder now than when we first installed it. Through all of this Electrolux has been more concerned with the performance of the contracted technicians than with the performance of their appliances. Im at an age where lots of friends are doing kitchen remodels. I tell them all, dont buy Electrolux. Spend your $7K+ elsewhere; And they are.

I bought a Refrigerator (new display model) from Lowes on 20th October 2020. After two weeks it stop working. I took it to Lowes. They said that I cannot return this item. I was referred to Electrolux/Frigidaire. I called them and they booked a service call. The service man came out and said they needed to order a part that will take a few days. Never showed up again.Called Electrolux again. They promise to deliver the part within two days. I waited for more than seven days. No part arrived. Called Electrolux again. They promised that they will review my case and seek a replacement or refund for the refrigerator. I asked if I need to call again. They said no. More than seven days passed again no information. I called today Dec 24th 2020. Spoke with support staff who asked me to hold the line for more than 15 minute, this call was suspiciously ended by the support end. I called again. Another operator came on the line to say that the technician will fix it next Tuesday. Where in north America can we do without a refrigerator for two months. Above everything else what company is Electrolux/Frigidaire? Such a bad support that they cannot stand to their word. They do not return Email or calls. I will recommend that company for zero star.

We bought a new home in 2015. By new, I mean just built. It came with the Electrolux ICON appliances. These appliances are not worth the money. They are poorly constructed and have been repaired several times. They even have safety defects. The Gas cooktop is poorly designed and a danger to all that own it. It needs to be recalled. The burners are placed too far forward and make it impossible to use the front burners. The flames from the burners extend too far out from the base and can easily catch your clothes on fire. The knobs on the gas cook top also turn on by mistake. They easily turn and leak gas if you lightly brush against them. Kids can easily turn them on. These are a real safety issue and need to be recalled. The ICON dishwasher has been a nightmare. It does not dry the dishes and the control panel is always going out. It just starts flickering and has to be replaced. The fridge is ok but the ice and water dispenser are poorly designed and always leave ice and water falling on the floor. They really need to recall the gas cook top. Parents beware!!!

I was later advised to get the compressor changed as oil change cannot be done. Even after compressor change, the refrigerator was not working and was taken to ASC and returned the unit with drilling in the back to do the work. How and with whose permission the drilling is being done? Is this the standard of repairing the refrigerator? Why should I go for legal proceeding against Electrolux under Indian Penal Court Section 420, 120B?

There is always something wrong. Two months ago the ice maker was not freezing ice. I contacted the warranty company and they said they would send someone out. Two weeks went by and I heard nothing. After cleaning up water I called the warranty company again and received a very nice lady (Pamela) and she sent someone different out. They came out and three weeks later put in a new part. That was last Friday. I still do not have ice. Phone calls (3) to Mr. Appliance have not been returned and the call to the warranty company was very abrupt. Latisha could have cared less.

I purchased four Electrolux appliances in July of 2011. The appliances were delivered in July, but they were not in use until September or October. The appliances are infrequently used and no children live in the household. Since I started using the appliances, I have already had three service calls. First, back in November for the microwave; then in January for all four appliances. The third service call was on March 16 for the same appliances for the same problems, except for the microwave oven. This is rather shocking to me since I was under the impression that Electrolux appliances were supposedly better and higher performing kitchen appliances than many of the other brands. I previously owned a KitchenAid dishwasher and a low-end Kenmore range and refrigerator. Over a 10-15 year period, I had approximately two service calls for the range and refrigerator and dishwasher. All service calls were after the appliances were at least 5 years old. These appliances were exposed to high usage since there were children and more people living my home.On March 18, I noticed after baking a potato that condensation formed inside of the door of the microwave. Also, as I was cleaning the microwave, the outside stainless steel top panel over the door of the microwave is loose. It moves from side to side. I now have a fourth service call in to address this. It’s hard to believe that I am having so much trouble with all four of my Electrolux appliances that I purchased. I am very disappointed and unhappy that I spent extra money for such lousy performing appliances. The service calls are very time consuming and quite annoying. I have to take off considerable time from work to accommodate the service calls, not to mention how frustrating it is to deal with malfunctioning key appliances. I can only hope that my case is an exception and I hope that I have not been sold four lemons. Attached is a summary of my service calls.Microwave: Stopped working for several days. Service person could not find anything wrong, perhaps it’s an electrical surge issue. There’s a loose panel outside the top over the door. It will be addressed on next service call. I can’t remove stains on inside of stainless—no solution. Condensation buildup in door: this is not addressed yet. You have to press too hard on menu button.Range: Rubber gaskets on metal grates keep coming off. I was told that they sometimes melt. The gaskets are there, I believe, to keep the metal from rubbing against other metal. It was not fully addressed. It scratches easily—no solution. The gasket around menu panel came a part. Gasket was replaced.Refrigerator: Ice maker is not working and there is a knocking sound, condensation buildup, and the ice maker continues to make ice when full. Problem solved on first service call. The same problem reoccurred. Problem will be addressed on next service call. There is also loose screw found in refrigerator. That will be addressed on next service call.Dishwasher: It doesn’t clean dishes. What do I need it for? Solution: add dish detergent, add Rinse Aid, add Glass Magic and prime water leading to dishwasher. Most dishes are lightly soiled and they still don’t come clean, particularly the silver utensils. The stains are washed in rather than washed out. Top rack bottom joint keeps coming out of place. Problem addressed once by replacing the top rack. I’m not sure what will be done to address this problem again. I will discuss with the service rep when he comes on Monday, March 26. It takes a long time to get started. I sometimes have to press buttons several times to start the wash cycle—problem was not fully addressed.

This product was purchased in December 2006 and installed in our home in April 2007 after our home remodel was completed. When we purchased this product, it came to our home from Home Depot in a box. However, after only 4 years, the freezer has stopped working. And, when the repair man came to check the product, he pointed out to us that the product had welder soot marks around the left back bottom and parts had been refurbished inside the unit. In short, the product was not a new product when we purchased it from Home Depot in 2006.When we contacted Home Depot about this matter, the appliance manager was very concerned and stated that they will be checking all products from Frigidaire for refurbished soot marks. He also stated that the freezer should not have stopped working after just a short length of time.As a result, we have contacted our attorney. Our attorney explained that his office will be contacting the FDA and also the Federal Consumer Affairs Office in Washington and request a full investigation into this matter. It is suspected that Frigidaire is selling refurbished products; and 100s of other consumers may have been scammed as well. The product arrived at my home from Home Depot in the manufacturers box and sold to us as a new product. However, the repair annalist informed us on 3 November 2011 that the product was refurbished not new!We called Frigidaire Customer Care Center today at 1-980-236-2000 and talked to a representative who had an extremely illiterate tone over the phone. In short, he basically told us to go to hell.1000s are being scammed by Electrolux Corp (Frigidaire distributor). Please investigate! Thank you.

Bought a new front load washer and dryer from large local furniture & appliance distributor. An upgrade we thought from the used appliances we got from my fiances parents (which should be noted had last 12... yes, TWELVE years). Not even 3 months in and the washer quit. The issue - the flywheel in the back came loose, or was simply not tightened properly when built (HINT - manufacturer DEFECT!!!), and cut deep grooves in the back of the hard plastic housing, so far you can see through it. And it eventually threw the belt off, thus giving the tub no agitation to wash or spin. That was how we discovered something was broken. Completely useless washer. And that is exactly how Electrolux is now working with us (LOL) to resolve the problem. THEY are completely useless!!! Even their local authorized service company confirmed it was inoperable, that it was irreparable AND it was a manufacturer DEFECT. And to further the agony, the apparent leakage of water over probably a few weeks, has caused water damage and mold to the brand new linoleum and woodwork we put into the laundry room as part of our upgrade. And their response - file a claim with OUR insurance company and then see if theyll subrogate. WHY should we do that when YOUR APPLIANCE DEFECT caused the problem?! I say again, Electrolux is completely USELESS! NEVER again will we buy ANYTHING Electrolux. We thought these new washer & dryer were a dream, but now has turned into an incredible nightmare!Hey Electrolux, heres a noble idea... Stand behind your products and take care of the consumer and maybe even small problems will be overlooked and youll get a better reputation. NOT with us mind you, that is utterly shot to heck! Completely useless!!! In closing, AVOID ELECTROLUX PRODUCTS AT ALL COSTS! Save yourselves from the insanity and stress. Weve been hassling with them almost 3 weeks now and no washer. They are a horrible company to deal with. Thank you for reading.

We have had nothing but problems with our Electrolux appliances. This is not just one model, but many different appliances. When we moved into our new house we unfortunately purchased all Electrolux including fridge, stove, dishwasher, popup vent, and over/microwave combo. This was all about three years ago. Since purchasing new appliances, the fridge has needed repair twice, the vent hood fan went out and we replaced it with a different brand (Wolf), the stove and oven have had issues and just recently our dishwasher cooked itself. It made several popping sounds and we smelt electronics burning in the kitchen, then the dishwasher shut down and wont come on again. Its now being replaced with a Bosch dishwasher.Do yourself a favor and AVOID Electrolux and their brands. They make junk. Also be careful as some brands like Kenmore use Electrolux to manufacture their goods. Do your research and stay away. I hope my review will help someone save time and money. We spent about 12K on all these new appliances and after 3 years, we are already in the process of replacing them. Getting the fridge repaired was a major hassle with their repair department. Its going to be easier for us to just purchase new appliances and start clearing our house of Electrolux. Never again Electrolux!!! You have been banned for life from my house and Ive already told hundreds of friends to stay away from your brand.

Picked this up locally, and installation was fairly easy. At first we thought there was a issue with the keys as they didn't seem too responsive. We learned that you must touch and hold for a second to have it register. No biggie, just have to slow down :-) One complaint is the exhaust fan noise. It's LOUD. I have it exhausting out the top to the outside of the house. However it's very loud inside. I believe a lot of it is wind noise, because the fan is rated at a very high CFM for over the stove microwaves. My other complaint is the underside lights. They work great but they get HOT. If left on for a period of time, they will heat up the inside of the microwave. You would of thought they would have used LED's.

Our salesman, Jason, talked us into buying this appliance by telling us that it was state of the art and would fit nicely into our newly remodeled kitchen since it was cabinet-depth. He told us how the icemaker in the door of French door type refrigerators worked well in this model. The appliance never worked as the book stated. It leaked water and delivered slushy melted ice. After several service calls, one of which was to replace the motherboard, Electrolux furnished us with a replacement refrigerator on 9/21/09. We had one service to this new appliance on another matter, but truthfully, it never produced ice the way the Use and Care Guide said it should. The guide states that it produces approximately nine pounds of ice every 24 hours, but we constantly ran out of ice with normal usage. We are a family of four so this never made sense to us. The bin never filled up within 24 hours with nobody using ice during that time. It also shoots ice away from glasses that are directly under and my family constantly complains about this as well.On July 7, 2012, we called Electrolux when the unit stopped producing ice altogether. We were, at first, told that since the appliance was no longer under warranty that Electrolux would not pay to service the appliance. We asked for a supervisor to review this decision since we were not satisfied and believe that this particular model is defective as the icemaker doesn’t work as the Use and Care Guide suggests it should. We were granted what we were told was a concession (Ref # **) and were informed that a service company would be contacting us.On July 12, we contacted Electrolux as nobody had contacted us to set up the service call. At this time, we spoke with Chiffon, who put the call on hold to set up a service call. A woman named Susan from Dan Mark Appliance set up a service for us. On July 14, Dan Mark technician Carlos came out. We were told by Carlos that a new icemaker was needed and that this would take 3 to 5 business days. After more than two weeks, Dan Mark finally sent another technician out on July 30. This Dan Mark technician told us that he was replacing the motherboard, not the icemaker, and that this should solve the problem. On August 1, we contacted Dan Mark to tell them that we had no ice. They promised to send another technician on August 6. On August 2, we received an automated call from Dan Mark that a technician would be out on August 3 between 8:00-11:00 AM, and although this was unexpected, one of us stayed home from work that morning in hopes that this matter would finally be taken care of and we would have ice for the rest of the summer. When the technician came out though, he told us that he needs to replace the icemaker motor and housing and upgrade the motherboard as well. We didn’t hear from anyone again until August 8 when Dan Mark called to set up a service call for August 11. On August 11, a Dan Mark technician came and replaced the icemaker motor but did not upgrade the motherboard as promised. He told us that there should be ice by evening. We placed yet another call to Dan Mark on 8/13 when the icemaker began dripping water and would only produce crushed ice. On August 15, with no confirmation call, one of us unexpectedly had to come home from work when a Dan Mark technician came to our home and telephoned that he was at our address. This technician told us that a new ice bin was needed and that he would order this and it would take a week.By August 15, with several lost hours at work so that we could be home for numerous service calls and no ice for much of the summer, we decided to contact Electrolux directly. We spoke with Tiana, giving her all the dates of service calls. She told us that she entered that information into the system. She could not offer us any other help at that time. We did not hear from Dan Mark again, and on August 27, we contacted Electrolux and spoke with Sade, who contacted Dan Mark and was told that they had ordered and received the ice bin and had tried to contact us several times and couldn’t, so they returned this part to Electrolux. We told Sade that we received no calls from Dan Mark during the time period of August 15-August 27 and requested that a different company service this appliance. Sade told us that new concession would be needed (**) and set up with Angela at Metro Factory to service this unit. Ironically, on August 28, Dan Mark contacted us to install the ice bin, but we told them that we had contacted Electrolux and were using another service company going forward. On August 29, Metro Factory technician Carl came out and was able to hook up the appliance to his computer (this was the first time a technician had done this) and told us the unit needed an upgraded motherboard. He noted that the limited ice in the bin was “melty” and stuck together. We told him that the unit was only producing crushed ice, and he mentioned that upgrading the board would take care of this problem. While he was there, he was asked if he serviced many of this particular Electrolux refrigerator model and he said, “Oh yes,” and always the icemaker. We were not surprised. On August 30, Metro Factory called to tell us that the technician could not come out until September 10, and we made an afternoon appointment for that date. When we didn’t receive a confirmation call the night before this service, as had been the practice of both Dan Mark and Metro Factory, we contacted Metro Factory on September 10 and were told that, indeed, they were not coming out since they had received no parts and that this was the manufacturer’s fault. We were even asked if we received any parts, which surprised us since we weren’t expecting parts to be delivered to us.On September 11, we contacted Electrolux once again and spoke with Charlene. Again, everything was explained from the beginning, and after being put on hold for 6 minutes, we were told that Metro Factory was not picking up and that she would call back once she contacted them. In the afternoon that day, Charlene called to tell us that Metro Factory did order parts and that we should expect to hear from them on September 14. She could not explain why the parts were taking so long or why Metro Factory asked us if we received them. We did not hear from Metro Factory on September 14. In fact, as of today, we have not heard from Metro Factory. We are writing this complaint in hopes that Electrolux will see that we are entitled to compensation and satisfaction that has been denied to us since purchasing the original refrigerator. We are requesting that our original purchase price of $3,199.95 be returned to us and that the appliance be picked up when we are able to replace it with another appliance of our choice. Be assured, it will not be an Electrolux appliance. We plan to never purchase an Electrolux product again. We have read other complaints and agree that there must be some engineering problem with these particular types of unit. Electrolux needs to recognize this defective model is hurting customer satisfaction for many families.

We bought our current washer and dryer set around 3 years ago. After the first few months the washer EIFLS60LT1 completely failed and needed a new drum, bearing belt and pulley. It was replaced for us. After another few months the exact same problem came up and got fixed under warranty. Now a couple years later the same problem is starting again with failing bearings and also the LCD screen quit working shortly after it was fixed under warranty.

I purchased a 48-in duel fuel range in 2009. The range was not properly wired, and I have had nothing but problems. My range was actually built by Dacor but that is not the problem. The problem is Electrolux. I have made numerous calls to Electrolux to ask for assistance, request diagnosis of problems, and to try to locate repairmen. Nothing. I finally found a local repairman who has beaten a path to my house from his shop. The latest problem is a circuit board that controls the small oven. That oven inadvertently switches to broil during baking and needless to say, I burns food to a crisp. The repairman has called Electrolux, Electrolux acknowledges the problem because it has happened numerous other times to other people. It is an Electrolux problem, and Electrolux still will not warrant that part which is costly. I have never been offered an extended warranty on my range, but if I were, I would certainly collect all the costs associated with this piece of equipment and get rid of it. Viking or Wolf would certainly be better than the inefficient products Electrolux puts out. Buy Electrolux at your own risk.

In a year and a half we have had every single part replaced in our fridge and actually have had the entire fridge replaced. The fridge freezes your food - period. They customer service have stated that the fridge is operating as it was designed. You must strategically place your food in the fridge. It cannot be near the back part of the fridge - that is by design. That was not in the brochure. That being said you loose about 3 of space in your fridge, otherwise your food freezes. And yes if you place a glass of water near the back - it freezes. I have plenty of pictures to show. Poor design, poor customer experience. If you want a freezer I guess buy from this company but dont buy a fridge. Thank goodness I have a real fridge in my garage.

I purchased new Electrolux dishwasher from Goedekers.com, was delivered to me in intact box, so nothing to show delivery problem, I open the box and could not see any problem, scheduled installation and the installer discover that under the cover blanket the unit was really beaten up. So I called Electrolux and Goedekers to report the problem. The dishwasher is under 12 mos warranty. They send different appliance repair people to fix it. And the conclusion was the same: Replacement because cant be fix.But after two mos Electrolux/Goedekers game come with the statement: the warranty does not cover the repair (actually Electrolux spent $600 on diagnostics and screwing-unscrewing) + I spend long hrs talking/asking/emailing/listening CS reps, managers, supervisors, corporate executives telling different statements, basically lying and not taking responsibilities. The worst experience in my lifetime and Im 64 years. All this Electrolux/Goedekers reps were advising me to do illegal actions to repair the damage for unit under warranty and all is my mistake that I did not uncover the manufactured blanket when I checked the delivery shipped in intact package box. Also accusing me that I damaged my new dishwasher - insane! I ready to expose the damage that Electrolux and Goedekers are doing.

We built a new home and purchased all new appliances in 2009. We bought an Electrolux French Door Refrigerator and a 30 Double Convection Wall Oven. The first thing to go was the panel on the wall oven. Then the Ice Maker. Twice. Both under warranty fortunately. Then the French Door had to be replaced because the magnet at the bottom of the door kept sticking and we had to pull on the door so hard to get it to open that the door split open. Luckily we were good friend with our Appliance Sales folks and they got an Electrolux Sales Guy to give us a new door. Now the ovens dont work. Started with the lower oven not coming up to temperature. Lets not even talk about either of the temp oven probes which are so badly designed they cant tell the difference between the oven temp and the food temp, so they either turn off the oven to keep warm before your food is cooked, or they cook at the temp you tried to set for the food. Dont think 140 for beef is going to cook anything. Anyway, back to the lower oven. Oven panel says one temp, but gauge set in the oven says much lower. Then the upper oven started doing the same thing. Had a tech look at it, and he asked if I had just run the cleaning cycle. When I said yes, his response was Dont run a cleaning cycle before a Holiday! Meaning that the oven problems happen during a cleaning cycle. Anyway, both oven liners have buckled and are touching the heating elements, causing them to ground out. I need two oven liners, two heating elements, one relay panel, two guys and four hours of labor to repair by oven. Total $2,400 for an oven I paid $3,600 for 5 years ago. You would think you would get more than 5 years of an appliance. Then the French Door went again. This time its the major electrical panel, so now that another $500 service and part repair. Is it worth writing to Electrolux?

I bought an expensive Electrolux refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher in 2012. So far I have required repairs on the dishwasher (control panel went dead); stove (would not self clean) and the refrigerator has broken plastic that holds up the bins; very hard to remove drawers and put back in for cleaning. The bin handles you pull out are broken on at least 3 drawers. I bought these online thinking if I paid a very high price I would get quality - WRONG. I believe the cheap builders appliances would have been better than the Electrolux fix and repair too often.

The first time I turned on the dub oven, the first item, the glass broke. The fridge is falling apart and the ice maker works sometimes and sometimes not. This set will be six years old this Sept 2014 and all needs replaced and needed it 2 years ago. Parts are way too high priced and they know it. Electrolux Dual Fuel defective Oven F15 motherboard - To begin, the word motherboard defines the perfect depiction of the defective range (item/product) the Electrolux company manufactures. I recently purchased a home that included a 30 slip in Electrolux dual fuel range that the previous owners had originally paid over $2,900.00. Having seen the wonderful Kelly Ripa television commercials, I figured the product must be good if she endorses their products. Within 2 months of having lived here and using the stove, the F15 code has flash on the motherboard of the range which then also shuts down the use of the control board. Doing some investigation, I learned that the previous homeowner had already replaced the motherboard 2 times previously since owning the range. Now into the two months of new home ownership, I am glad that I had taken out a homeowners warranty to cover repairs in the new house. I just got back from Best Buy and hhgreggs to price out a replacement range and was shocked to see Electrolux continues to produce the same style range (which at hhgreggs price was over $3,000.00). Thank God I had my homeowners warranty to replace the motherboard until I find a new replacement range and dump this inferior product. Kelly Ripa... You sold customers down the river with a BAD product that is not backed by the company making it.

My Electrolux EIMED60JIWO front load dryer will not start. Serial # 4D10402611. Purchased May 28, 2011 Hampton, VA. Registered with Electrolux. If I turn the dial to different settings it beeps at each setting, light flashes on and off with the beep. If I try to start, turn the dial, cancel or push any other buttons, it beeps. This has happened 4 times since I purchased the dryer in May 28 of 2011. I believe the last technician said the dryer had to be reset. It will not reset. I tried unplugging, resetting the circuit breaker, factory resetting the dryer by pushing the temperature button and the dryness button simultaneously for 6 seconds. NOTHING. STILL NOT WORKING!!! Of course it is only 4 years old, but out of warranty. They advised that I purchase a 2 year extended warranty for $267.74, and then I have to wait 9 days for the earliest service call. The dryer cost $1100!!! They didnt fix the problem when it was under the original warranty. I am NOT happy with Electrolux. WARNING!!! DO NOT BUY ELECTROLUX!! They offer a poor product, poor service, and fail to honor the warranty. I expected more out of my Electrolux. Please advise.

I will NEVER buy another Electrolux product. Its too bad I wasnt wise enough to check reviews before buying. Almost from the start I had issues with the ice dispenser. After many phone calls & service calls, at least 5, after changing celluloid, main board, ice bucket assembly, they sent 3 incorrect ones before I got the correct one. Mind you they had the part #, after taking at least 4 days off from work to be home for repair tech, I am now close to spending $700.00 in parts. (Oh, they give a 20 percent discount on parts that I have no way of breaking, a celluloid, that takes about 20 minutes to get to?) Main board? Really? I now have the pleasure of a sporadic high temp 58 degree refrigerator & again no help from Electrolux. They use cheap parts & dont stand behind their product. NEVER AGAIN.

Customer Service Non existent. We bought a slide-in stove from Electrolux 3.5 years ago. For over 2 years we have dealt with an electrical panel shorting on the appliance. Now the unit has completely shut down. We had a repair person look at it who says all the circuit panels need replacing at $900 plus $800 labour. The stove cost approx $2300 and three years later we are facing a $1700 repair that is not guaranteed to fix the problem. We bought an Electrolux wall oven 5 years ago. At 4.5 years the element and fan needed to be changed. At 5 years the control panel completely died. For almost a month I chased customer service to fix our oven. I wrote 2 complaints on their website with no response. I rang the customer line over 8 times. I spent hours and hours on hold. I received two callbacks that came at a time I was unable to answer so I had to wait on line for ages again just to get through. After waiting a week for a technician to come out, we were told the part needed to be ordered and would be another week. A week later, we were called 20 mins before his arrival to tell us it would be over $650 to fix including the call out. I refused to pay this amount. The oven is only 5 years old. I was told by customer service that because it was 5 years old then parts would breakdown and that I was not obligated to get them to fix it and could find help elsewhere! What a joke! Who buys an oven to last just 5 years!! I told them that after 2.5 weeks without an oven and multiple calls and complaints and emails I would not pay this amount. They agreed to a staff discount amount, however, the part needed to be ordered AGAIN (despite the fact the technician had it in his van ready to install that day), and then once the part arrived we would need to arrange an appointment for a technician again, so another week would go by with no oven. At 3.5 weeks we finally had the technician fix the oven. After my first couple of calls, I insisted on speaking to a manager about this matter, however, despite my complaint being escalated not once was I referred to a manager. I was told at one point to go out on the weekend and buy a new oven and they would give us a $600 discount! Not only would I NEVER buy Electrolux again, I also did not have an easy $2000- $3000 laying around to buy a new oven this weekend and pay for installation! What a complete joke! Not once did Electrolux care about the customer. Not once did they make it convenient of us. Not once did they escalate my matter to a manager. This company needs a serious look at their practices and a huge overhaul of their customer service line. I told they could not transfer me to the manager because they do not have the phone facility to do so! I was also told that even if that first technician installed the new control panel he had in his van, that I would have to pay full price. Why, should I the customer, chase all of this up because they do not have the correct technology or facilities to do what is convenient and right by their customer? They are a HUGE company selling electrical goods but do not have the most basic facilities to transfer phone calls or arrange for a reduced price with their technicians. NEVER BUY ELECTROLUX.

I bought Electrolux dryer EFMG627UTT recently on Sep 18. Dryer is taking too long to dry and customer service is poor. They already change the motherboard board and temp sensor. The predictive dry is stupid feature and not working good. The empty dryer with no load is running 1 hr and they claim that it can sense the load and moisture and predict accurately the running time. Means it should stop cycle in few min when load and moisture is 0. But still it predicts 57 min and running for 57. Technicians Jose says it is normal and per tech specification and when I asked what is the tech spec, he said he dont know. None of them in customer care knows that spec. Worst customer support and worst machine. If anybody can guide to sue them I will be happy to do. Reason of review: Poor customer service. Monetary Loss: $1800.

I have been speaking with Electrolux customer service representatives for a week now regarding my Frigidaire range and the exploding glass that scattered all over my kitchen when I opened the oven door. Much to my disappointment, the Electrolux customer service representatives have explained to me that they have no responsibility to address this situation or provide my family with a safe oven because the range is no longer under the 12 month warranty. To say the least, I am appalled at this response. My family was exposed to glass exploding in my kitchen. My feet were cut, and my husband spent hours cleaning glass from every corner of our kitchen. We are just thankful that our young child was not in the kitchen and seriously injured. According to Electrolux customer service representatives, a slight bump of the oven door months earlier could cause the glass to explode in this manner. How is this a safe product? Our Frigidaire glass oven door exploding in our kitchen is a horrific safety hazard, and I am deeply disturbed by Electroluxs failure to rectify this situation.

Freezer door handle cannot be secured, and thusly hangs loosely and sloppy. If my recollection is correct, I believe this unit was billed as the most quiet refrigerator ever when first released. I had the range for just over a month and was simmering vegetables when the glass made a pop & then a crackle sound. The glass had shattered into flakes and then cracked. Customer service asked me to send pictures which I did. They immediately blamed me and said that I must have dropped something on it. Three months later and after being runaround they now claim that my pot was dirty and stuck to the glass so is not covered by the warranty.

Purchased Electrolux washer/dryer from Home Depot late 2017 (product received in Nov. 2017). Issues started soon after purchase with the dryer, it was clogging with lint in the blower motor. Not even sure how this was happening, since these are lint making machines. Service came out and had no options on how to prevent this from occurring. Again other than to contact servicing and have them clean it out. Basically they take the machine apart to do this, not a job for ordinary folk. After speaking with Electrolux, and informing them of this continuing issue. Their response is to continue calling for warranty/servicing. The big question was what if this issue persists beyond the one year manufacturing warranty, Electrolux response... “purchase extended warranty”. Are you kidding me!!! That’s when I contacted Home Depot head office. Their response to this issue was much of the same. I can’t believe either one of these entities could live up to their product (Electrolux) or service (Home Depot). This issue should resolved by a replacement or a full refund.Things to keep in mind, these service requests take up time during working hours cause warranty company doesn’t work after hours or weekends. So we have to take time off work each and every time a service is requested. Other option is to cut my losses and dump these machine and buy new ones. Even after a year of ownership. Extremely disappointed with both Electrolux and Home Depot Canada.

Purchased range in 2004 price $2000.00. Had insurance until the clock on the range needs to be replaced. I called Electrolux, the part is not available anymore. The repairman person recommended by Electrolux is trying to find a used clock, otherwise, my range will be unavailable for cooking. Electrolux was notified by me since the warranty is over, they refused to do anything. What is my option, throw out the range, I cannot afford that. The company will not help me in any way with a refund price for the rebuild clock or the company getting me a clock somewhere. Need answers soon. Please help.

We purchased an Electrolux dishwasher and refrigerator - upgrading our current appliances after a remodel. These are the first and last Electrolux items I will ever purchase. The dishwasher had continuous problems with leaking. I had numerous repair companies come out and try to repair the problem - until they told me that the only thing they could do was take the unit to their warehouse, put it up higher and see if they could possibly find the leak - no guarantee. Every technician told me that Electrolux brands are one of the worst to work on. So we got rid of the dishwasher and replaced with another brand. Now it is the refrigerator. I got an EF error code on my display and after unplugging and plugging back in the fridge as the customer service rep at Electrolux instructed me to do, the whole fridge and freezer stopped cooling. This is not the first time I have had to empty my entire fridge and freezer. If you are considering buying Electrolux, read some of the reviews on this thread. They are overpriced and poor quality appliances.

Whenever I clean my oven it will not heat afterwards. The first time I thought it was a fluke... The second time it is costing me $300 to install new parts to get it working. Now I am told that whenever I clean it the same thing will happen. IS THERE A CLASS ACTION SUIT FOR SUBSTANDARD APPLIANCES that fail to even meet acceptable standards?

This has been the worst product ever to purchase. I bought a Frigidaire Gallery Series refrigerator back in May of 2016 and had problems ever since. It was the refrigerator on top with two doors and a freezer at the bottom. Had I known that these appliances were only going to last 5 to 7 years tops, I would not have purchased such a flawed product. That is the life expectancy of these products and people dont usually know that. I have had 7 repair people come and take a look at it and they say it cant be fixed and not working at all. It wont get cold or make ice and it has been down for 6 weeks. So dont purchase this product.

I purchased a new home and bought the extended warranty from Electrolux for the appliances. Within the first year, my microwave broke 4 times. On the final time, I was told the microwave would be replaced. My microwave broke over 3 weeks ago, and initially customer service said someone would get back to me within 5 business days to approve the replacement. When I didn’t hear anything for 10 business days, I called them back. I was then told to give them another 3 business days. When I didn’t hear back AGAIN, I called them and was told that these things (meaning replacing my microwave) takes time and I should be patient, and that I could possibly be without a microwave for 2 months. Does that sound acceptable?? What modern home can go without a major appliance for that long? Their customer did not care. I spoke to a supervisor who was not helpful and kept repeating the same phrase, “I understand your frustration.” However he was not offering any solutions to my problem. He did, however, tell me that if they had to ship my microwave then I am financially responsible for the shipping and installation. If you are reading this before you purchase an Electrolux or Frigidaire appliance (Electrolux provides the extended warranty) please DON’T purchase. If you have an issue with your appliance then you will regret you spent the money. Their customer service and appliances are horrible. BUYER BEWARE!

I bought this refrigerator model E127BS16J56 serial # 4A23619843 in 2013 in great anticipation of have a beautiful stainless steel refrigerator in my kitchen. Stainless steel is a bit more expensive but as a consumer you spend the extra money for its beauty that it adds to your kitchen. Ive noticed that around the stainless steel the grey plastic trims have begun to split and crack for no reason. The refrigerator is in our kitchen and does not get a lot of wear and tear, its just my husband and myself. I called Electrolux and spoke to customer service, told them the refrigerator was practically new and the cracking and chipping of the plastic trim took away from the beauty of my stainless steel refrigerator and asked them how to fix it. I was told the only way to repair the plastic trims on the freezer drawer or the French door refrigerator was to replace the door panels. They would send them to me at a 10 % discount. What!So Im supposed to order new doors at my expense of 500 per door and get a 10% discount if I purchase the doors from them and they wont charge me shipping. This was not acceptable so I called back and asked to speak to a customer service manager. I told her my story and she read through my previous complaint and offered me a 30% discount. This was at least an attempt to assist me but honestly, my refrigerator is 3 years old and all the plastic trims deteriorating and breaking off (obviously a product defect) and to solve the problem Im supposed to purchase all new doors and invest almost 1000 dollars and then pay a mechanic to put them on! Really! I want to fight this Id rather spend 1000 dollars on a lawyer and live with the chipped broken plastic doors. Im disappointed I really thought they would stand behind their product and help me, but the resolution they offered is unsatisfactory! Im going to continue to call and complain, hope springs eternal.

We have had to replace the upper inside blue liner twice as the porcelain or wall burns totally through. This is a $3000.00 plus oven and we now have been waiting over three and a half months, as ELECTROLUX has them on backorder.

I purchased a $2700.00 Electrolux French Door refrigerator. The computer board broke weeks after the warranty expired. It cost almost $550.00 to repair. Next the icemaker and water dispenser stopped working about a year ago. Electrolux knew of the problem and made a kit to address the poor quality and design. After almost 6 months without ice, they finally provided the kit and paid for the repairs. Two weeks later the same problem. Electrolux poor design causes the water reservoir to freeze. The customer service representative offered to sell me another repair kit at a 20% discount. She stated that my warranty expired so they no longer have an obligation to stand by their product. I will never purchase another Frigidaire or Electrolux product again. Buyer beware. Customer service is a joke.

Its a great looking fridge, however, we had many issues with it. The water in the filter freezes, causing all of the functions in the door not to work. Freezing everything placed in the veggie drawers. The ice maker works intermittently, and now only the crushed worked. Ice maker died after about one year. I really like it, but not worth the high price.

We purchased - largely for being identical in appearance - the Electrolux dishwasher, oven, and microwave set for a remodeled kitchen. Heres my experience with all three, plus other info. Dishwasher 1: Simply did not clean dishes. Three warranty service calls did not fix. Replaced with the identical Electrolux dishwasher. Dishwasher 2 (replacement): Leaked water onto the kitchen floor, and made an amazingly loud and unacceptable noise in operation. Two warranty service calls did not fix the leak and could not diagnose the noise. Lowes took it back and we replaced it with a now out-of-place looking but functional Kitchenaid.Oven: Several of the blue bars on the lighted timer/temperature indicators are not fully functional at one year old (off warranty), so have to guess at temperatures and time. Very expensive to repair. Went through one temp. probe warranty repair (it was not connected internally at the factory). Troubleshooted and replaced a faulty second probe. The oven has twice stopped functioning, but I was able to get it operational by rebooting it (shutting off the appliance breakers, then turning them back on). Note: At the same time, my son, who lives 500 miles away, also bought the same type Electrolux oven, and he also has experienced the loss of some of the blue bars that constitute the numbers needed for time and temperature reading.Microwave: Many of the blue bars that constitute the numbers for time are not functional. Try operating a microwave without fully functional numbers for time, etc. The cost of the repair (replacement of the electronics is almost half the cost of an entire new unit. We limp along as is because of our attempt to match the appliances in the kitchen, and we are not about to replace with the identical Electrolux. Note: My son bought the identical microwave and he has the same problems. These things tell me that Electrolux shipped an entire batch of ovens and microwaves across the US with faulty lighted numbers. The shipping of two out-of-box failure dishwashers is almost unbelievable. I dont know how a company can survive with such a record of failures across three product lines.
