I purchased new Electrolux dishwasher from Goedekers.com, was delivered to me in intact box, so nothing to show delivery problem, I open the box and could not see any problem, scheduled installation and the installer discover that under the cover blanket the unit was really beaten up. So I called Electrolux and Goedekers to report the problem. The dishwasher is under 12 mos warranty. They send different appliance repair people to fix it. And the conclusion was the same: Replacement because cant be fix.But after two mos Electrolux/Goedekers game come with the statement: the warranty does not cover the repair (actually Electrolux spent $600 on diagnostics and screwing-unscrewing) + I spend long hrs talking/asking/emailing/listening CS reps, managers, supervisors, corporate executives telling different statements, basically lying and not taking responsibilities. The worst experience in my lifetime and Im 64 years. All this Electrolux/Goedekers reps were advising me to do illegal actions to repair the damage for unit under warranty and all is my mistake that I did not uncover the manufactured blanket when I checked the delivery shipped in intact package box. Also accusing me that I damaged my new dishwasher - insane! I ready to expose the damage that Electrolux and Goedekers are doing.

We have a defective Electrolux refrigerator. According to the repairman, our ice maker was not insulated sufficiently from the back panel of the refrigerator. It has caused condensate to form on the back of the appliance. We discovered a large (about 6 in diameter) rust spot there with a trailing one of about 18 or so. There is condensate on the back that drips continually and the metal is actually flaking off. We have no idea how long this has been going on. We only discovered it because of a kitchen remodel. Meanwhile, it has been dripping down to a wood floor. We could be dealing with mold inside the back panel or eventually on the back of the refrigerator and wall (which I am highly allergic to). We have contacted Electrolux and all that was offered was us contacting another repairman (at our expense). They are not honoring their warranty. I also have an Electrolux stove. Im not feeling very good about it now! These appliances are expensive. I will never buy another Electrolux or Frigidaire product.

The sealed unit developed a leak after 4 years. Had service company reclaim and inject leak freeze into unit and recharged. 6 months later same problem-unable to fix leak in the wall of unit anymore. I asked the tech if this was unusual. Tech says yes, but this brand typically only lasts 8 years anyway! 4 years and $2400.00 later, hauled away to the junk yard.

We built a new home and purchased all new appliances in 2009. We bought an Electrolux French Door Refrigerator and a 30 Double Convection Wall Oven. The first thing to go was the panel on the wall oven. Then the Ice Maker. Twice. Both under warranty fortunately. Then the French Door had to be replaced because the magnet at the bottom of the door kept sticking and we had to pull on the door so hard to get it to open that the door split open. Luckily we were good friend with our Appliance Sales folks and they got an Electrolux Sales Guy to give us a new door. Now the ovens dont work. Started with the lower oven not coming up to temperature. Lets not even talk about either of the temp oven probes which are so badly designed they cant tell the difference between the oven temp and the food temp, so they either turn off the oven to keep warm before your food is cooked, or they cook at the temp you tried to set for the food. Dont think 140 for beef is going to cook anything. Anyway, back to the lower oven. Oven panel says one temp, but gauge set in the oven says much lower. Then the upper oven started doing the same thing. Had a tech look at it, and he asked if I had just run the cleaning cycle. When I said yes, his response was Dont run a cleaning cycle before a Holiday! Meaning that the oven problems happen during a cleaning cycle. Anyway, both oven liners have buckled and are touching the heating elements, causing them to ground out. I need two oven liners, two heating elements, one relay panel, two guys and four hours of labor to repair by oven. Total $2,400 for an oven I paid $3,600 for 5 years ago. You would think you would get more than 5 years of an appliance. Then the French Door went again. This time its the major electrical panel, so now that another $500 service and part repair. Is it worth writing to Electrolux?

We bought a new home in 2015. By new, I mean just built. It came with the Electrolux ICON appliances. These appliances are not worth the money. They are poorly constructed and have been repaired several times. They even have safety defects. The Gas cooktop is poorly designed and a danger to all that own it. It needs to be recalled. The burners are placed too far forward and make it impossible to use the front burners. The flames from the burners extend too far out from the base and can easily catch your clothes on fire. The knobs on the gas cook top also turn on by mistake. They easily turn and leak gas if you lightly brush against them. Kids can easily turn them on. These are a real safety issue and need to be recalled. The ICON dishwasher has been a nightmare. It does not dry the dishes and the control panel is always going out. It just starts flickering and has to be replaced. The fridge is ok but the ice and water dispenser are poorly designed and always leave ice and water falling on the floor. They really need to recall the gas cook top. Parents beware!!!

I purchased brand new Electrolux appliances for my kitchen exactly two year
I purchased brand new Electrolux appliances for my kitchen exactly two years ago. Since that time I have had the double oven fixed once, the refrigerator fixed four times and then finally replaced, and most recently the microwave has gone out. It’s only been two years (almost to the day) and I have spent countless hours working with Electrolux and repair people on the phone and at home (missing work on several occasions). I now have to pay a trip charge to have the microwave looked at and will have to pay labor to fix it. In two years, these very expensive appliances should not have had such awful quality problems. We considered Frigidaire or GE (which, by the way, our friends went with and have had no problems at all), but went with Electrolux due to the perceived quality and excellent warranty - which in both cases are absolutely false. It’s been nothing but disappointment and frustration. Electrolux has not stood behind their appliances and they make it very difficult to get support. We have had the runaround on every occasion and a lack of accountability, or more importantly a lack of responsibility, to the consumer to ensure the appliances are repaired and taken care of in as painless of a process as possible. On one occasion the repair person went so far as to tell me that Electrolux quality is not what it used to be and how they are getting more and more calls regarding these appliances, so they too were a bit concerned that quality is no longer a priority at Electrolux. Lessons learned and the same mistake will not be made ever again. If Electrolux stepped up and took responsibility and accountability, it would go a long way; however, even the employees I have spoken to seem a bit disillusioned.

I purchased the Electrolux cabinet depth french door refrigerator, duel fuel slide-in range, and microwave 3 years ago. To date, I have repaired the ice maker; the refrigerator door gaskets; and the tracks for the freezer draw. These repairs exceeded $1000. In addition, the plastic piece on the door handle of the microwave dried up and cracked and had to be replaced. The piece above the microwave door broke and also needed to be replaced. This is a 3 member household, no young children. Our previous refrigerator lasted for more than 20 years.

We purchased 6 appliances all Electrolux. We had 2 issues with the microwave door repaired under warranty. The fridge however is a completely different story that never ends. It has been 3 years of repairs and replacement parts but the worst of it all was when one day I dispensed water and ice from the fridge door and while drinking I choked on something. Fortunately for me my husband was here to assist me in dislodging it, and it turned out to be a piece of styrofoam dispensed from the ice maker. I was able to spit it into the sink in bewilderment. We inspected the bin and were perplexed as to where it had come from. After that 3 more pieces of styrofoam were dispensed at different times. We kept inspecting the bin and found a large plastic piece and some wires wrapped around the auger. Many dollars have gone into this ice/water dispenser, mother board, display board and now this styrofoam and choking. Stay very clear from Electrolux. Im sorry we chose this brand just for the induction. The freezer in the bottom we cannot turn off, and the seal around the freezer door does not meet up with the frame leaving the cold air to escape leaving me without a frost FREE freezer and fluctuating temperatures. At times the warm alarm will sound alerting us that the freezer has gone warm and then we need to cut the power on then off to reset it and throw food out that thawed. Now we throw good money after bad, and to add a serious choking incident into the mix is unthinkable. This complaint could be a whole lot different if my husband wasnt at home to help me with a piece of styrofoam. To think a refrigerator is a danger in your home!!!

I purchased a Frigidaire freezer in 2007 and, three years later, I purchased an Electrolux Extended Warranty (service contract). During the life of the Extended Warranty I called for service because my freezer was not getting as cold as it should and it was accumulating a lot of frost (not a frost free model). Electrolux sent out a, so-called, service technician who looked at it and told me that there was too much food in it and freezers should not be loaded over 50% of their capacity. I found other accommodations for the excess food, ensuring that the freezer was not loaded more than 50% but this did not fix the problem. I called for service again and Electrolux sent out a, so-called, service technician from the same company who had a different story this time, telling me that the drawers at the bottom of the freezer were not going all of the way back, impeding the sealing of the door.I couldnt see that the drawers were impeding the closing and sealing of the door but I defrosted the freezer anyway and discovered that the door seal was still not sealing and I could feel the cold air escaping from the bottom door seal when the door was closed. I called for service again and requested another appliance repair company to do the inspection/repairs because all I was getting from the company that they were sending was a lot of busy work for me which was not fixing the problem. They did send another inspector who took several pictures of the door and bottom seal and left with the comment that the door was misaligned.Several days later I received a call from Electrolux stating that their findings were that the misalignment was the result of consumer abuse of the door and they would not repair the door. I informed them that was absurd and an examination of the pictures that the technician took would show that the door was not damaged and there was no consumer abuse. They informed me that there were NO pictures accompanying the report and Electrolux was standing by their decision NOT to cover the repair of the door. How very convenient that the pictures that were taken which would make my case and refute their claim had just vanished into thin air!?!? I have filed a complaint with the BBB but Electrolux is sticking by their decision NOT to perform on its contractual obligations and they are doing it through deceit. I have also filed a complaint with the California Department of Consumer Affairs and the results of that one are pending. BUYER BEWARE when dealing with Electrolux Extended Service Warranties! Like me, you might pay perfectly good money for a perfectly worthless piece of paper.

Updated on 09/03/2020: It is now September 3, 2020 and I have finally been able to write to 2 people at Electrolux (Mira and Melissa) about my Frigidaire Refrigerator issues. Even though I have been told the people I wrote would get back to me (5 days ago), I have heard nothing from anyone at Electrolux/Frigidaire. The staff refuse to provide contact information to anyone above Supervisor and Ive been at this since receiving this defective fridge in May 2020. I am frustrated that Ive spent so much money and wasted so much time trying to resolve issues that should not exist in a new product.Original Review: I bought a Frigidaire Professional refrigerator from HOME DEPOT who broke the door upon delivering it. They replaced it with another unit which was defective. The defective unit was replaced with a unit with defective parts again. Electrolux and HOME DEPOT insisted that it be repaired, not replaced. They sent out a tech three times then advised me that they approved a replacement weeks prior. That was on July 29, 2020. The (3rd) replacement was authorized on July 8 (without notifying me). It is now August 20, 2020 and I find myself once again on hold for over an hour to be told Sherine at HOME DEPOT cant find the information and cant help me that I need to call another dept.I called the other dept. who said I had to deal with HOME DEPOT.... Yes, I spent hours and hours calling these companies only to be placed on hold for hours and I am still having to wait for them to figure this out. My review is about the really long wait times on hold (today only it was 2hrs and 17 minutes in total), the fact that too often they dont know how to use the phone and say that there are phone system issues today. Too often they are rude and unhelpful. Consumers need to think long and hard about who they buy from. Too often big companies are buying the competition and limiting consumers options, then remove quality of service. Its time the consumer speaks up or stop buying crappy product from companies who dont care to provide care.

We purchased a new French door refrigerator with an external ice dispenser
We purchased a new French door refrigerator with an external ice dispenser 4 years ago. The only problem is that the ice cubes have black circles on the bottom. Electrolux has been here every year since to fix/replace the tray in which the ice cubes are made, as apparently the metal from the tray attaches itself to the bottom of the ice cubes. I asked if they were possibly toxic and the reply was that this was not a known problem! They have offered me a 50% discount on a new refrigerator. Right. Like Im going to spend $2000 to get a working icemaker. What is most surprising is that they do not seem to care at all, and of course speaking to anyone who might be concerned is impossible. Never, never again.

We have the same problems that a number of other Electrolux buyers report.
We have the same problems that a number of other Electrolux buyers report. Our 2.5 year old appliances have had 10 service calls in this time frame. Problem is now that they are out of warranty, the service calls, and the cost of parts have become astronomical. The refrigerator filters cost $60 each. New shelf $40. Ice maker replacement part $200. Range control panel $535.51, range display board $211.79, plus service call $125+/-. None of these repairs are guaranteed, in fact the range needs these 2 parts for the second time. If you can find a service repair company that even wants to work on these lemons. Most of service companies refuse to work on these appliances. They do not want to accept responsibility for failed repairs. The service repairman basically told me that the repair will fail again. He implied that I should junk the 2.5 year old range ($2,800 new). Think Electrolux customer service will be any help? Think again. Their purpose in life, is to 1) Sell you more stuff like extended warranties. 2) Make sure that you talk to no one else at the company. 3) Listen to your problem, sympathize and give you nothing that will solve the problem. If you ask to be transferred to a supervisor, they transfer you to the next cubicle to someone like Therese (one of the rudest people you will ever encounter), Thomas, Stephanie, or Bridget. All of these people will tell you that they are important (BS like special assist to CEO) but they are dead ends. My advice stay away from Electrolux, Frigidaire, and if the sale is approved GE appliances. Electrolux is in the process of buying GE appliance. My advice, call the store that you bought the appliances from. That is how I got the microwave replaced. Dont be afraid to write these reviews. Use social media to help spread the word about these awful appliances and the horrible company is... Please, please, please, be a good friend and neighbor and help get the word out.

This appliance is a piece of junk and the service has much to be desired. Bought it with other kitchen appliances while redoing the kitchen. Have only used it two months and here are my complaints: doors were dented when unit arrived, new doors were put on with seals put on backward, water filter leaks water on the floor, unit makes more noise than expected. Freezers doesnt seal. Even after service people allegedly fixed it I thought it still didnt seal. Turns out I was right. The freezer door rails need replaced according to third service company!! The electronic computer board has malfunctioned and is reading error codes. The refrigerator will not maintain cold. The evaporator fan needs replaced - not working. Some type of Unit blew out when there was some type of power outage. Now, keep in mind this is two months of use!!!!!! I am filing a lemon law complaint and complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Bought a new front load washer and dryer from large local furniture & appliance distributor. An upgrade we thought from the used appliances we got from my fiances parents (which should be noted had last 12... yes, TWELVE years). Not even 3 months in and the washer quit. The issue - the flywheel in the back came loose, or was simply not tightened properly when built (HINT - manufacturer DEFECT!!!), and cut deep grooves in the back of the hard plastic housing, so far you can see through it. And it eventually threw the belt off, thus giving the tub no agitation to wash or spin. That was how we discovered something was broken. Completely useless washer. And that is exactly how Electrolux is now working with us (LOL) to resolve the problem. THEY are completely useless!!! Even their local authorized service company confirmed it was inoperable, that it was irreparable AND it was a manufacturer DEFECT. And to further the agony, the apparent leakage of water over probably a few weeks, has caused water damage and mold to the brand new linoleum and woodwork we put into the laundry room as part of our upgrade. And their response - file a claim with OUR insurance company and then see if theyll subrogate. WHY should we do that when YOUR APPLIANCE DEFECT caused the problem?! I say again, Electrolux is completely USELESS! NEVER again will we buy ANYTHING Electrolux. We thought these new washer & dryer were a dream, but now has turned into an incredible nightmare!Hey Electrolux, heres a noble idea... Stand behind your products and take care of the consumer and maybe even small problems will be overlooked and youll get a better reputation. NOT with us mind you, that is utterly shot to heck! Completely useless!!! In closing, AVOID ELECTROLUX PRODUCTS AT ALL COSTS! Save yourselves from the insanity and stress. Weve been hassling with them almost 3 weeks now and no washer. They are a horrible company to deal with. Thank you for reading.

All our appliances in the kitchen are from Electolux Icon. In the first year our microwave oven broke down. A few months later our refrigerator did the same. Now our dishwasher is on the fritz. In less than 3 years we had three product failures. I contacted Customer service a number of times and the only solution they advised is to purchase a service plan. The product is very attractive, a bit costly and not reliable. My argument with Electrolux is that service plans are good for older products. As a consumer I should expect 5-8 years of quality performance before we need to service. It is evident that these products are not made to last but heavy dependency on service plans as a solution.

Please, do not be enticed by Electrolux. We purchased a suite of appliances
Please, do not be enticed by Electrolux. We purchased a suite of appliances in 2009 for close to $10,000, and have fortunately renewed our warranties every three years. We have had work done on all four appliances. We are on our 3rd French door fridge with ice/water dispenser in the door. We are currently having to pay delivery and installation to replace our microwave because the one we have can not be repaired; the part is on back order for an indeterminate period of time. We still do not have a delivery date.Yesterday, we got Error 01 on our dishwasher. We looked up the error code, which said there was a leak. We checked all the connections for leaks; there was none. We read what others said were their experiences in forums and discovered that once that particular error code comes up, the dishwasher is basically done for. We tried wiping it out, drying it out with the fan trained on the open door. We cut the circuit breaker, then restored power. We unplugged and replugged. Nothing worked. Another repair order has to be made before they can determine it cannot be repaired! That means another long wait for a replacement, for which we most likely have to pay delivery and installation. Buyer beware, caveat emptor!

Apparently I have a model that had a KNOWN PROBLEM on these models and similar Frigidaire models from 2011 to 2017!!!! Yes ELECTROLUX KNEW, BUT DID THEY DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT, seems to be a NO. They supposedly did some sort of recall but NOTHING I EVER RECEIVED. It is NOT COVERED ON YOUR HOME INSURANCE WARRANTY, in fact they tell you to CALL ELECTROLUX. So I did and I was on HOLD for 65 minutes, no mention of any sort of call back which many companies now do. I Guess ELECTROLUX WANTS TO MAXIMISE PROFITS!!!!The lady I spoke to KNEW about this issue (Just as the TECHNICIAN that came out KNEW about this issue). She ended up giving me the number for the CORPORATE OFFICE to speak to a SHELBY so I called. Guess what? Its just a number for Electrolux, no Shelby. This is a $2400 refrigerator, it is a piece of junk and Electrolux seems to be worthless. I have one of their freezers too and guess what? It has had PROBLEMS, so ELECTROLUX YOU APPEAR TO SELL CHEAP PRODUCTS AND DONT STAND BY YOUR PRODUCTS.

Purchased Electrolux side x side refrigerator model EI26SS56GWO, s/n 4A82217631, new in 2008. Most expensive refrigerator I have ever purchased and the WORST! Issues: Motherboard just went out. Again! 3rd time in 5 years. 4 motherboards in 6 years if I choose to repair this again. Ice maker valve assembly has been replaced 4 times in 6 years. Freezer door handle cannot be secured, and thusly hangs loosely and sloppy. If my recollection is correct, I believe this unit was billed as the most quiet refrigerator ever when first released. Mine has had a loud hum since day one. Customer service, would be better served if called Customer non-service. The most uncaring do nothing customer service department I have ever encountered. BUYER BEWARE!!! I can provide more receipts when I locate them.

I bought a new Electrolux refrigerator from a high end appliance store in 2013. Some reviews indicated problems with the ice maker, but I was assured they were fixed. It has never worked properly and now the freezer has stopped working. The ice maker is frozen shut and is leaking inside the refrigerator. Recently the temperature was fluctuating and ran high. I lost some food due to spoilage. Based on the other reviewers it would be a waste of time and money to call for service. I am highly disgusted and will never buy another Electrolux product. That includes Frigidaire as Electrolux owns that company.

We bought the Electrolux refrigerator ew23cs70153 and also an oven and washer and dryer from PC Richards. Almost $8000-$10000 in product in 2010. They are around 3 1/2 years only. Like many I thought the design was European and sleek perfect for a modern kitchen. Kelly Ripa and marketing they sure spent a lot in!!! We will never buy Electrolux again! We began to have problems right away. LED screen letters some out on oven, round iron plates around burners got rusty on the stainless steel top of oven so had to toss, inside rack you cannot take out to clean the oven, when you push clean oven it blinks and sounds with a message saying take racks out and you hit the lever in the back does release it. No way to get it out. The decals on the front showing which way to turn the dials came off, when it comes on and ignites it makes a boom sound and feels like the oven is going to blow up. We are always worried and jump.I called Electrolux customer service and they sent multiple parts to replace however sometimes had to send up to 10 times for me to finally get the correct part. Very frustrating, I scheduled a repair guy to change the screen and parts. However to date things still are breaking and it was 2-3000 dollars in price. Then on the washer and dryer, the plate inside the dryer in the back from high heat turned black and if I dry any light clothes, it sticks to it and also black gets on the clothes in high heat mode, so I can only use the medium and low heat setting only. Its almost like it is so efficient they didnt think of the parts inside holding up. What a mess. Also the front door in plastic hasnt held up nice and and has gotten cloudy so had to call Electrolux to receive new doors. The overall outside of the unit hasnt held up nice either and we bought in white. And the latest frustration is the refrigerator. When we first bought it the first month the LED screen had one of the letters that went out and when this happens you have to replace the entire screen. Also the regular refrigerator side kept freezing up. The outside easily dings especially the sides of the unit. Electrolux sent us a brand new refrigerator 6 months after we bought the original one. However it didnt stop there. During a storm the power went out and the motor blew so we had to have repair guy come out again to replace motor. We put a surge protector on after that. The latest and last straw is the water line keeps freezing up in the door so we have to keep shutting it off to defrost and then it freezes up again. I cant use the filter water at all!!!! Come to find out after reading reviews many are having this same problem. So I called Electrolux to see if they would send a new door or do anything. They said since it is out of the year and 2 year warranty they cant do anything and they can send a door out for 400 dollars. We just cant believe itI just cant believe they wont do anything when this is a known problem with their design. I asked to speak to anyone higher up and they said there is no one to speak to. We have hit a brick wall. My husband and I just cant believe they would lose a customer over this. I never blog or do reviews but these Electrolux products have been a living hell for how much they are worth! Quality and durability not worth the high price. And the hours I have spent on repairs and calling customer service has to be over 40-50 hours by now. Im 7 months pregnant and we have to buy bottled water because we can use the refrigerator water. So now we have the hose taken out of the unit to use the water, see attached pic.

Electrolux now says after 3 repair trips that the unit works the way its supposed to. Says the turntable is not supposed to turn off for convec. They will not discuss replacing it with a model that the turntable turns off. In other words, Im screwed! I will never buy another Electrolux item again.

I have had so many service calls (10+) due to the inferior quality of my Electrolux French Door Bottom Freezer ice-maker, I cant even count them. Thank goodness, I purchased the extended warranty, BUT the inconvenience of having to call for repair, doing without, and waiting for repair to come fix is extremely frustrating. I will be happy when this piece of junk is out of warranty as I will gladly to forced to purchase a new one........ NEVER an ELECTROLUX product!UPDATED ON 04/17/2015: I am on my 2nd Electrolux refrigerator. This 2nd one is only because it was a replacement for the 1st one due to its poor performance with the ice maker. Now, there is trouble with the ice maker on this one. I am awaiting for the part that is supposedly a fix. The part was ordered on 3/30 and is supposed to arrive at my home. Then, I am to call for the repairman to come install it. Going on 18 days and then call and wait for the repairman to schedule... REALLY? With all the trouble I have had along with many, many other people who have had this refrigerator, I would NEVER choose another Electrolux refrigerator. They should have stuck with making vacuum cleaners!!

We bought an Electrolux gas stove less than 3 years ago. In less than two years, the enamel on the inside of the oven was flaking off where the racks go. These racks are on gliders so if you are cleaning the oven, its pretty much the only time the whole rack gets moved in and out. In other words, the rack stays in place but the shelf itself can glide in and out to remove food. I noticed 3 spots chipped off about 8 months ago after I cleaned the oven and was putting the racks back in. I wrote to Electrolux and sent pictures to them. They sent me back an email saying they had a technician look at the pictures and he determined this was normal wear and tear. So I sent them a reply stating that my last two stoves were over 20 years old, the racks were in and out of those stoves many times and all the enamel was still in place when I got rid of the stoves. This was a manufacturer defect and I would like this fixed. The liaison from the CEO then called me and told me the same thing that their reply email stated and again I told her about my last two stoves never having this problem. She then offered me 60% rebate to buy another Electrolux stove because they cant replace the inside of the stove. I told her, No, I want all my money back so I can go and buy a stove that will last. I had read online many people were dissatisfied with their stoves for the very same reason I was complaining. Also the front right burner doesnt light right away, another complaint from others. When it finally decides to light you get a loud fffumm and a huge flame shoots out of the burner. Now, the other day I cleaned my stove and the next morning I opened the oven to wipe the ash out and in the bottom of the oven the ash was rust colored. I thought that was weird but figured it was the grease that had spilled over before I cleaned it, but once I started wiping it out, I noticed the bottom of the oven is actually rusted and pitted all over. This is not normal. As I see it, the enamel is breaking off when the oven is cleaned. The front of the stove where the knobs for the burners, where it tells which burner is for each knob is all worn off. This is a very expensive appliance with shoddy workmanship! Now Electrolux is telling me they will give me 50% back to buy another one of their stoves. I would never spend that kind of money, and this was the most expensive stove in any of the places we looked. I thought I was paying for a good brand, a long time name in the appliance business and would stand by their product. I will never purchase another Electrolux product again.

Hi, double door refrigerator suddenly stopped cooling. I called customer care, they visited several weeks later. Without much checking they refilled the gas. It worked for a while, again repeated the same process, refilled for second time, after a while it didnt work again. Now if I call customer care they are not coming to repair, closing the complaint saying that I was not reachable which is not correct. I feel cheated and purchased the product from wrong brand. Electrolux refrigerator exhibiting serious problems after the one year manufacturer warranty was up. I had purchased an extended warranty (not through manufacturer) however, when I called Electrolux to report my issues - possibly having a lemon, too many problems for a new fridge, etc. - they were completely disinterested and took no responsibility for their product. They said it was a dealer problem if I wanted any comeback! I spoke to a supervisor Jennifer. How can companies take no responsibility for a product? Specifically ice maker problems, digital display and water dispenser.

I have a dishwasher that cost me over $1700 and it is a POS. I have spent more time and money on this POS and it still will not work. I bought the dishwasher, Dub oven and the stove top and fridge and they all have had problems. This was the top of the line stuff and it is crap and they dont stand behind their crap. The first time I turned on the dub oven, the first item, the glass broke. The fridge is falling apart and the ice maker works sometimes and sometimes not. This set will be six years old this Sept 2014 and all needs replaced and needed it 2 years ago. Parts are way too high priced and they know it. Keypad is $300, control board is $200+, the rack is $400, come on. I will tell everyone I know about this CRAP!

Have had my refrigerator since February. Now on its 3rd service call. Thank goodness I took out the extended warranty. Personally Electrolux can come get this piece of!! Two for the ice maker and one for the freezer, would not keep cold. Needless to say the whole back coil needs to be replaced and the refrigerator is only 6 months old. This will be the last time I listen to an appliance salesperson. Should have gone with my gut, but the salesperson was really pushing Electrolux and how long the company has been in business, etc. Whirlpool, Maytag, Samsung, LG anything but Electrolux!!Updated on 11/27/2016: When shopping for a complete kitchen set of new appliances, sales person kept recommending Electrolux. Spent $6800, Icemaker broke within first 4 months. Had to take off work to get it fixed. Now same problem with ice maker 7 months later. Also after having refrigerator 6 months bottom freezer coil unit had to be replaced, freezer would not freeze anything - then dishwasher does not dry dishes even with drying agent. Microwave/convection oven shorted out on Thanksgiving day after first use of convection oven. Have had these appliances since 1/14/16. Electrolux should be ashamed. Luckily I purchased extended warranty for refrigerator and dishwasher so Im good for three years with those. The quality of product is very poor compared to my 13 year old appliances I had. Very, Very Disappointed especially how much money I spent. Will look at reviews before I purchase anything else. Electrolux should pay me for my time off from work having to get these repairs taken care of.

Same story as many other reviews. Bought a new Electrolux fridge online at Home Depot Canada. Was dropped off and after 24hrs I noticed ice forming in freezer. I called HD and after 4 attempts to contact the service repair place I finally had someone come and tell me the fridge is faulty and I now need to call my local HD to get a new one. After MANY calls I was then told to call HD head office, then was told to call Electrolux direct, then was told to call back HD H.O. - my head was spinning SO MUCH from the royal runaround. I am STILL waiting to get this dealt with. Keep getting promised I will get called back and NEVER once been called back. Ive spend hours of my valuable time chasing this around and sitting on hold. Like others have said I will NEVER buy another appliance from Home Depot NOR will I EVER buy an Electrolux product as their after sales service is non-existent!

Purchased a Electrolux Refrigerator Model #EW288S715A. Ice maker stopped working about 6 months after install. Electrolux tried and send us a new refrigerator. Within a few months the ice maker went again. Electrolux said they would sell us another new one for 40% off the retail price. Its a good thing we didnt do that deal - I have since learned that the refrigerator that they would have sold us would have had the same problem. So no ice-maker in a $4000 CDN appliance and after a few years an error message appeared on the panel.Found out that the problem with the ice maker has now caused more serious problems with the guts of the refrigerator from water damage caused by poor insulation that will cost us almost $900 CDN and will probably fail again in the near future. Electrolux know this is a problem but are not reaching out to their customers to tell them what to do - basically the company has stuck their heads in the sand hoping that purchasers of this product dont get together and go after them. I am working on starting a class action suit. Electrolux is one of the largest appliance manufacturers in the world and are abusing their clients with incredibly bad designed products. Stay away from Electrolux. I was told that Bosch makes a fairly good refrigerator.

Electrolux Refrigerator Model EI26SS55GB0 - I purchased this refrigerator i
Electrolux Refrigerator Model EI26SS55GB0 - I purchased this refrigerator in September 2009. The refrigerator showed problems after I purchased the unit. The main first problem observed was the freezer and refrigerator temperatures were wondering. The digital display also had elements that burned out. The unit was out of the manufacturers warranty when this occurred. I had Sears come over to diagnose the unit and they said it was the interface board. This was in 2012 so based on other posts about their refrigerators I guess comparatively speaking I was doing pretty good. Anyway one month after the new interface board was installed the system started to wander in temperature again and would not stabilize. The Sears technician again came over and replaced the same board at additional expense. The display elements are still not working properly. The segments look like they are getting ready to burn out. We turn off the display to save this part. Now about a month ago the ice dispenser quit working. The issue appears to be the main board which is very expensive to replace. I called Electrolux and they offered me 10% off of the part; Really!!! The board is over $300. I have a friend who owns an appliance store. He told me that he has dropped the Electrolux line. I asked him why. He said when he sold their products he had a ton of circuit board problems. In fact he has a customer that has a similar problem that I had; the temperature wondering. He told me that his customer had a technician out 3-times to change out the board(s). Finally the third time appears to have fixed it however the previous times it went down - the food rotted in the unit and now has a smell that she cant get rid of. My friend is going to swap out the unit with another brand b/c he feels so bad.Anyway bottom line - refrigerators should last much longer than this. I was told Electrolux was a top notch product; NOT!!! Please stay far, far away from this brand. Youll do yourself a favor and avoid MUCH grief!!!

NEVER BUY ELECTROLUX!!! First know that I have previously purchased other products. GE that have lasted 2.5 times longer, no repairs and still running!! I decided to buy two higher END APPLIANCES thinking they would serve us well and add value to our home. WRONG! My refrigerator ice maker never worked properly. Finally I had it checked and repaired for about $600.00. Not many people service these products. Now the dishwasher broke! I called for assistance and they could not help me fix it (I removed the cover directed) then I said I will not pay for this to be fixed. They offered 50% off of parts to repair. I am in business. Parts are marked up at least 3 to 5 times the cost. So they are still making money. I said, fine, as long as I do not pay for service. They replied, cant help you there. Well, how insulting so I could be on the hook for a $300-$600 service call plus 50% of parts! I said, I am fair lets do this, Ill pay for the first $100 in service and 50% of parts. That is fair. If this product wasnt a bad product major repairs would not be necessary. So they could have used the money they would have made on the parts to pay for the balance of the service call. Please note we are a small household. Mother, Grandmother and daughter. These products are not overused or abused! NEVER BUY ELECTROLUX...ITS A WASTE OF MONEY!! IT WILL NOT LAST! THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS! It is not that things cannot go wrong, but its how you handle it, that really tells the story. I was more than reasonable and they still wanted to insult me.

Weve had these appliances for about five years now. Weve had major service on the refrigerator at least four times. The ice maker has been replaced twice and is currently not working, the drawer guides on the main drawer in the refrigerator area have had to be replaced and the temp sensor had to be replaced. The spring on the dishwasher door broke off its mounting plate, the door handle broke off of the microwave, and a year later the entire door assembly has fallen apart. They look pretty nice and the dishwasher is quiet, so Ill give them one star but these are just not well-built appliances. Save yourself expense and frustration. Look elsewhere...

Electrolux quite possibly has THE worst customer service I have ever dealt with. For whatever reason the original company we purchased this product(Front Load Washer Model #EIFLS60LT) from, and had provided service previously, no longer services our area. We are pushed into using another company for our warranty service for a washing machine less than 18 months old that suddenly the door will not open on it took over a week for an appointment. The repairman finally came out and got the door open. That was it... They did not check to see if it would cycle... Did not look for additional error codes, etc. Well, of course, as soon as we try a load it craps out with a totally different error code and naturally this is on a holiday weekend. The earliest we can get a repairman out to look is another 8 days out!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous! I plan on posting every negative review that I can and will never purchase an Electrolux product ever again.

It scares me so bad I wont use it and I only tried it once! I must say though, I do like all of the different setting it has! The microwave and stove have a confection oven in them! I purchased the Electrolux wave touch washer and dryer set. They got really good reviews, and my grandma has been a loyal Electrolux customer. I loved the color of the machines (silver) and all of the choices, including steam in both the washer and dryer. I was about to order them online for around $1200 each when I found them at my local lowes for $900 each (close out price for last year's model). I've had these appliances for about two months, and these machines are amazing! I don't know why I waited so long to get new ones. I love all of the specialty settings, including one specifically for kids clothes, pet beds, jeans, deep clean/sanitize, and stuffed animals! Definitely brand reputation. I almost bought a maytag, but it got bad reviews, and our plumber had recently bought one and talked me out of it based on his bad experience!

We bought a Frigidaire self cleaning ceramic glass cooktop range in June of 2018, one month after the warranty period my wife turned on oven to preheat it. After about 3 min, she heard a loud popping sound and the breaker in the house tripped! She opened the oven and after the smoke cleared she saw a quarter sized melted hole in bottom of the oven. We knew the warranty was over so we called an appliance repairman to look at the stove. He found that the bottom element shorted and burned a hole in bottom pan and the convection fan was burned out! Picked this up locally, and installation was fairly easy. At first we thought there was a issue with the keys as they didn't seem too responsive. We learned that you must touch and hold for a second to have it register. No biggie, just have to slow down :-) One complaint is the exhaust fan noise. It's LOUD. I have it exhausting out the top to the outside of the house. However it's very loud inside. I believe a lot of it is wind noise, because the fan is rated at a very high CFM for over the stove microwaves. My other complaint is the underside lights. They work great but they get HOT. If left on for a period of time, they will heat up the inside of the microwave. You would of thought they would have used LED's.

Three years ago I purchased a French door refrigerator from Sears but was manufactured by Electrolux. Immediately we noticed the ice maker did not supply enough ice. Sears came out and replaced icemaker three times. Still does not supply enough ice but you get tired of appointments and meeting repairmen to make the same repairs over and over again. The last repairman said this was a common problem with the refrigerator I have. Last weekend I pulled open the freezer drawer and it fell apart. I purchased an Electrolux washer and dryer set 2 years ago in silver grey colour. Right from the start the doors on both units would not close properly, nor would the detergent dispenser drawer on the washer. As well, you could not partially close the door when airing the washer after using it, meaning the door stayed wide open. This required placing the machine in an area where no children/people would walk past it and hook on to the door. THEN, the entire control panel went on the washer. We were told that Electrolux no longer made that model - ONE YEAR AFTER PURCHASE, and that instead of repairing it, the warranty company replaced it with the next newer model. This entailed that we also had to replace our DRYER, since the new washers colour was a different colour of grey, and the units no longer matched. UGLY!! The 5-year warranty we purchased at the initial time of washer purchase was now also void, meaning we would have to pay AGAIN if we wanted extended warranty. I tried contacting Electrolux Canada to ask if we could get a rebate or refund for the extra costs we endured because their units were faulty and outdated so soon after purchase. Thats when the real trouble started. The young girl at their customer service was the rudest, uncaring person I have ever encountered in the business. She said if it wasnt a warranty issue, that she would do nothing to assist me. She refused to put me through to her supervisor, and any emails that would be sent would go back to her. There was no logic in her approach and needless to say, the whole experience left me totally frustrated and disappointed. I even tried reaching someone at Electroluxs USA and European Office, but was told that it was not within their area, and that I would have to contact their Canadian office- even after I had explained my problems with the first line person there. No one offered to contact a supervisor on my behalf, or even give me a direct telephone number or email address where I could contact a supervisor myself. Although the machines - one year old, are still working, I will never again buy ANY product from Electrolux, after having the worst customer service experience of my life!

Warning. Do not buy from this company. We bought a Frigidaire double oven. Paid $1500. The very first time we try to cook on it the unit completely shorted out. We contacted Electrolux. They sent out J&M appliances to repair the unit. They replaced the fans four times, the motherboard three or four times plus numerous other parts. J&M Appliances have been to my house 10 times to fix different things but it went wrong with the unit and four times to diagnose it. They called Electrolux for me trying to get me a new unit being it was only a few months old. Electrolux denied the new unit so, I’ve sent emails to the CEO jonas.samuelson@electrolux.com and I believe it was the Vice President jan.brockmann@electrolux.com. Neither of them have responded back to me. Here’s the kicker. I spoke with a RITA **. She’s some kind of an executive assistant pretty high up. I told her I wanted a new unit. That this was ridiculous having to leave work and meet the service rep 14 times. So she told me she was not going to replace the unit. I was out of luck. Mind you it’s still under the one-year warranty. I have proof with the receipt. She didn’t care. Also Rita ** put a block on my Electrolux account so nobody else can help me with the problem anymore. I’ve called them numerous times asking to speak or two different managers and the managers tell me that she put a lock on it and only she can get into my account now. Be warned about this company. Do not purchase any of their appliances. The one year manufacturer warranty or any other warranties do not matter to this company. Do your research. Read all the reviews on Facebook, Yelp and any other social media. I should’ve done it before I purchased with them. I would not have bought any of my appliances through them. This is one crooked company.

My Electrolux refrigerator came with my new builders home - I wanted GE Profile, but settled for Electrolux. The refrigerator has been nothing but a problem. The freezer side and the water dispenser, have been worked on many times. The freezer freezes up with crystals, water continues to drip from the dispenser and they have repaired it four (4) times without success. I have asked for a more seasoned professional to come and handle the repair however I just keep getting the same old, same old person who always comes (yes, the one who put the door heater in upside down!!!). Be cautious when you are considering purchasing an Electrolux product - GE Profile cant be beat, even though it might cost a little more. The Electrolux customer service treats people like they are the judge and we are the condemned. Their service times is ancient - 8AM-5PM of all things. Who does that anymore??? Ive spend five days home waiting for them and Im tired of it now. I urge you to look around, check on the customer service, read reviews, do your homework before purchasing.

Cheap plastic on a very expensive refrigerator. I was worried about the noisy ice maker. Honestly it is a 6 second noise every once in a while. This trim, another piece breaks off every week.

Electrolux is a Bl**dy worst service. As I did not get to any link or email to escalate the service issues, I thought to post it here. When all the customers will read this, maybe they will get the clear idea what kind of service they are providing to their customers. I want people should think before choosing the electrolux product. I made a complaint for my semi automatic washing machine but these guys are least bothered. Daily I am following them but they are giving non-sense reason for not doing their job. Not only this, even the Area Service Manager assured me that it will rectified by Monday, till now there is no call from him and if I call his number he is also not picking up the call and then it becomes not reachable. I request the social media of the company to address this issue to the correct dept, so that at least due to some persons the Electrolux as a company should not suffer. Thanks.

Weve owned our dishwasher for 3 years. It has leaked from the beginning. Weve had it serviced dozens of times. The leaking has even ruined our baseboards. I will NEVER buy a Frigidaire or Electrolux appliance ever again.

We have a maintenance contract w/ Electrolux for French Door ref purchased Dec 2010.. We were advised by tech contracted with Elux that the company made this ice maker for 18 mos. Due to failure of same, ice maker replaced in new products. Currently, we have had no ice maker since Jul 7 2014. We have had terrible service from both Elux and local tech. All reps apologize for inconvenience, appreciate our frustration, take a msg and nothing happens. I have a ref/file number, still no resolution. Page 1 of the Maintenance service contract states No Lemon Guarantee with requirements that we have met. Being that we have a ref/file number, tech said unit would be replaced. Again, poor service from Electrolux service i.e advised that no photos recd, no report received when service provider, MasterTech contact Lydia, says photos were emailed and report was sent to Elux. MasterTech sent email photos to me yesterday at my request. I forwarded these emails to Elux to Stacy, customer service (?) rep at Elux with request that she has recd email. No response. I am going to contact local vendor as well as TV station, The Turko File, to report this terrible service. As a very satisfied customer with ref but very unsatisfied with ice maker issue and no real assistance other than empty apologies, its time to move to another level. We referred this style ref to friends who purchased after we did; they evidently have the upgraded ref w/ ice maker and love the product. That being said, I would not purchase an Elux ref EVER again and their contracted service technicians are paid very little - they are not paid for additional visits. A losing proposition for techs and then ultimately, us as consumers.

The washer started squeaking while spinning after 2 months of utilization. Called customer support and firstly they asked me if I unplugged the washer (not sure what is the connection between the 2, but ok..). Then they said that I have to pay for the service and when I told them that the appliance is in warranty they said that I have to pay to unstack the dryer (which is on top of the washer) at least (!). Be prepared to pay $135 with tax. :( They booked a service provider that was not covering my area, so I had to call again and when I told the customer support about this, he pretended he cant hear me and hung up on me. So I had to call again. I am very frustrated with the customer service as well as with the payment I have to make even if the appliance is in warranty. I will never buy Electrolux and would never recommend it to anyone. An appliance that starts making that noise after 2 months of use is not a good appliance!

DO NOT BUY Electrolux EI32AR65JS (similar to EI32AR80QS and several other model numbers) OR THE COMPANION FREEZER. The cooling system failed on my unit within 6 months. I have been without a fridge for over a month. This is not just a slight risk, but almost a guarantee based on the amount of feedback on the internet. No coverage for lost food. No time limit on how long the repair can take. No extension of the warranty for the repaired unit. Will not even replaced the already hacked up unit unless it fails two more times. I wish they had categories for customer service and quality in this review form. They would both be 0 stars. We purchased an Electrolux french door fridge this summer. Our apartment was under construction so we were unable to connect it until this month. When we tried it did not work. We called Electrolux who informed us they would send a technician out right away. Because we do not have the receipt. They said they would honor a 9/15/2014 purchase date. The first technician never came so we called Electrolux again. They sent a second technician who also no-showed.When I spoke to the Electrolux representative for the fourth time I asked to speak to a supervisor. I asked the supervisor what my options are because Electrolux only contracts with 4 repair people in the entire New York City area and all 4 had 1-2 stars on all consumer review websites and 2 of them had already no-showed. I was hoping that we could hire a contractor we know is high-quality, can fix the brand, and is available and have that reimbursed, like going out of network for health insurance. The supervisor put me on hold for a long time--the entire call lasted 61 minutes. When she returned she told me they would no longer honor our purchase date and that because the fridge was manufactured in 4/2013 they would consider it purchased in 10/2013 and we were therefore out of warranty and there was nothing she could do to help us.We have been unable to locate the itemized receipt. Electrolux has offered to sell us a $600 3-year warranty. However, upon reading reviews of our purchase, everyone who has had this issue says it is chronic and never resolved. Dont make this mistake. The EI288S65KS6 does not work and Electrolux is a company that will not work with you.

Last summer, we chose the appliances to remodel our kitchen and replaced our 10-year-old $1,500 Kenmore refrigerator with a $3,000 Electrolux stainless one. It was delivered in September... but wait, it was a different model. When we questioned the dealer, he told us that Electrolux had discontinued the model we ordered and that the one we had received was the replacement. However, there were a few small catches. It was all stainless like the one we had ordered, the inside was organized differently and the freezer had two drawers rather than three, not to mention the quality seemed to be significantly worse. But the dealer and Electrolux tried to tell us it was an equal replacement... right. There didnt seem to be a lot of options at the point so we settled with a far too small compensation. The dealer (Standards of Excellence in Concord, CA) came out and installed it in October. When they left, the doors werent even. In February, the flap on the French doors was jamming when we closed the fridge, so we called a service company. They came out, ordered the part and two weeks later, replaced the flap and tried to align the doors (not completely) and left. A few months later, the flap (mullion) failed again and I called a different service company. They came out, ordered the part, came back with the part, and spent a lot longer aligning both the mullion and the doors and left. The doors now seem to be fixed although they arent quite even. However, about a month ago, the ice maker stopped delivering cubes. It only gave out crushed ice and the display was giving some strange messages once in a while. The service guy came out again and said that the solenoid for the ice maker had gone bad, had dropped down and had fried one or two of the circuit boards. He replaced the solenoid but had to order the boards. Evidently, the fried boards were causing the computers to go nuts and provide random messages on the displays (and to the diagnostics he was trying to use). As of Monday, everything seems to be fixed... for the moment. But I have no confidence they will stay fixed. This morning, I called Electrolux to complain; their suggestion was to pay for an extended warranty. I absolutely hate the idea of giving Electrolux another cent for their poor quality product. My 10 year old Kenmore is happily humming away, working perfectly in the garage. I wish I could make it stainless.

A one star rating is drastically too high for a company which I would consider the epitome of Worst Customer Service ever! When we purchased our new home, our builder offered a suite of Electrolux appliances, which appeared to be a good compliment to our home. Fast forward 30 days into our new home and we are already contacting Electrolux to have our new double oven serviced. 1) Temperature settings are not accurate as things cook at different rates every time we use it (Burns one time and then the next it will take twice as long as prescribed). 2) The fan on the top quiet oven sounds more like a jet engine spooling up for operation. Both issues were addressed with Electrolux. First service call - One repair technician shows up and then proceeds to inform us that it is a two person job, thus the service call has to be rescheduled. Next call, technician diagnoses the issues and orders parts. Parts arrive about a week later...another week goes by when I find out from my wife that they did not set up a follow-on appointment, nor have they called to set one up since the parts have arrived. That was the first time that I learned that Electrolux does not even attempt to go the extra mile for their customers. I called Electrolux and set my follow-on appointment...being spoiled by other companies with exceptional customer service cost me weeks in turn around repair time. Follow-on appointment happens and the parts are replaced and supposedly repaired. Oven still spooled up as if the generators were getting ready to come online and bring the aircraft to life and the temperatures settings were still unreliable. Over the course of my first 10 months, we dealt with this issue multiple times until we hit our breaking point as each time of dealing with the oven repair was mentally and emotionally exhausting with Electrolux. (The process is not smooth...I would say broken, but I dont think it has ever been a well established process.) After the last unsuccessful repair, I contacted Electrolux customer service number to request a replacement oven...the customer service agent pushed back stating that the part would have to be serviced again before replacing. We then had a heart to heart discussion about how we were not going to be inconvenienced for another repair attempt when all of the previous attempts failed. Our request was sent to the Back Office People for review for replacement for which he stated we would receive a determination via email in a few days. Fast forward again a few weeks...I get an email from some random delivery company stating that they were shipping an Electrolux oven to my address. Yes, that is how I found out that Electrolux had decided to replace my oven...in case you are not aware by now, never expect Electrolux North America to ever go the extra mile - aka email you to let you know they are replacing your busted oven. In November 2017, a delivery driver just appeared at our house without a pre-notification and proceeded to deliver our replacement oven. He then proceeded to let our new oven come crashing down on our driveway in front of my wife, who was luckily outside watering our grass at the time. My wife was astonished that the delivery driver continued to deliver the oven...and when approached, he stated that had she not been out there, he would have dropped it in the garage and left without ever saying a word. The questionable ethics of the deliver driver spooked my wife into fear that denying the delivery would only mean that shady driver takes oven away only for same company to bring same oven back a few days later. Since November 22nd, 2017 - we have been dealing with Electrolux North America to come to an acceptable solution to have a one for one swap completed. As sadly as it may sound, I have truly learned that Electrolux North America (especially North American Liaison Rita **) could not care less about the customer and their overall experience. All attempts to have the situation addressed with a means that would put their customer at ease...have fallen on deaf ears. Electrolux customer service, as well as Rita **, will only address a rigid black and white approach of how situations are to be addressed according to a policy and will never apply the Reasonable Person Theory, which would require them to listen to their customers and understand their concerns with at least the slightest bit of compassion. Recommendation - Do not buy Electrolux appliances or appliances of any of their sister companies. If you need any repairs, you will surely regret ever making that purchase...that I can guarantee.

We purchased an Electrolux dishwasher model EI241D50QS in March 2015. The main board and the pressure switch went in Nov 2016 of course after warranty. Luckily the manufacturer agreed to pay for at least the parts for replacement. Fast forward now to Aug 2017 again the main board looks to be broken in less than a year. Called customer service and asked what they can do to help me as this dishwasher is only 2 years old and should not be broken down for second time and this part is less than a year old. Only response was, “Sorry nothing we can do.” So basically the 1k dishwasher I paid for 2 years ago is junk as the part and about to repair is almost the same cost, what a joke that they cannot stand by their product and give terrible customer service saying, “Oh well nothing we can do. Youre on your own.” I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER APPLIANCE FROM ELECTROLUX OR FRIGIDAIRE EVER AGAIN AND WARN OTHERS ABOUT THEIR PRODUCT.

We were told that the warranty was over and that they would pay 1/2 toward a new refrigerator. Since we werent about to shell out $1,500.00, we complained to the Electrolux rep and he ended up getting us a new refrigerator. However, we have had seven service calls on that appliance in two years! First of all, the doors werent aligned, then there was a leak in the back of the unit because it was never sealed at the factory. Bought a brand new house that came with brand new Electrolux appliances including the dishwasher. The buttons get pressed inadvertently during loading and unloading causing the air dry button to get pressed which would lock the control panel. After unlocking the control panel, the air dry option would not work until the main fuse was reset in the garage. This happened at least once a week. Called Electrolux and they sent out Callahan Appliance Repair to fix the dishwasher. They sent the owners son out who claimed that the dishwasher buttons were malfunctioning and he replaced them (he did it so quick that I am not sure he actually did). However, he reported to Electrolux that he replaced the buttons on my microwave!!! He did not do any repairs on my microwave!!!!!Well a few months later, same problem and Electrolux sent Premier appliance out twice because Callahan refused to come out to my house since I called them out on the fake microwave repair. After that in December 2014, just before the warranty was up Electrolux started doing their own repairs and sent an Electrolux tech out. He indicated that the control panel was faulty. He ordered the part and replaced it out and Electrolux extended my repair warranty (parts and labor) till June 2015. However, since he replaced that out, the control panel cover will not fit right and there is space between the control panel and cover due to the heat/steam from the dishwashing cycle. The Electrolux tech has come out and replaced the control panel cover but the problem still is not fixed. It keeps separating from the control board. They have now deemed it not repairable and are willing to replace my dishwasher for me but expect me to pay the cost of the delivery and installation. I think that since it is still under a parts and LABOR warranty it should be replaced at no cost to me. They refuse to fix it now!! I feel that they are not standing by their warranty (Labor included). I have always had Whirlpool appliances and will NEVER buy ELECTROLUX appliances!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!! The recommended repair company told me to open the freezer door. Wow, thats impressive. The clip on one of my sliding drawers cracked last week. I was on hold for 20 minutes. Gave up and ordered what I thought was the right part online for $15 dollars. This little plastic part is about 1 in diameter. Guess what? Didnt fit. I purchased a refrigerator from home depot on the 23rd and it was delivered to me on March 2. Before the delivery guy brought the fridge in he informed me that the fridge was dented and if I wanted a new one I would have to wait another week without a fridge and with a small child that was out of the question. So I decided to call Electrolux to see if I could be compensated for the fridge. I talked with ** and she told me without pictures I could have $40 off the fridge, I took pictures of both sides of the fridge and did not hear back from her. I called the next day and spoke with ** and he said I guess we can give you $60 off. I was upset with the rude comment and said that I was still unhappy and he said well what are you expecting? I was not expecting anything but would have liked to be acknowledged that what I bought was not what I received. He told me he would talk to a manager and call me back the next day, I called and spoke with him again and he said I guess we can give you the $100 off. I was very upset by the way I was being treated and said that I would just prefer to have a new fridge sent since that is what I paid for. His response was oh so now youve changed your mind, we will deliver, then hung up on me. I got no apology for the situation or any details about when the new fridge would be delivered. I am astounded by the horrible customer service this company hires. I called back after being rudely hung up on and he refused to pass me on to a manager. I called back several times after this trying to speak with a manager and not one person would help me. It is now March 20 and after going to home depot in person I got the first apology for my situation and the man working there was amazing and threatened to call head office if my issue was not resolved. We purchased both an Electrolux gas-oven/range and a refrigerator a few years back at a high-end appliance store for our new remodeled $150,000 kitchen. With the assumption that Electrolux has been in the business of developing and building appliances for many other well-known companies, was why we decided to go with their new line. Unfortunately, their appliance line is far from quality, and just cheap junk that starts having serious problems within six months of use. First off, our Model: EW30DS65GS Gas Oven/Range’s circuit board started having issues right off the bat. Now mind you, I have owned a few LED alarm clocks that have lasted me over fifteen years without any problems.Within one year, the LED display on our Electrolux Gas Oven/Range went dead, and we were told it would cost us $350.00 to replace it because it was out of warranty. Our Electrolux refrigerator is just as pathetic, and we have had it serviced out more than five times within the first year, just so our food didn’t go bad! Their customer service is a joke, and they could care less about their customers. It’s fairly obvious that Electrolux appliances are just a cheap line of poorly built Chinese junk for the ignorant mass-market. Don’t waste your money or time!

Purchased top of the line Electrolux double oven last November. Five days after 1 year manufacturer warranty expired, the oven glass door shattered during self-clean. The company offered to fix if I bought an extended warranty which I did. The customer service has been horrible - the worst Ive ever experienced. They had to order a part and it took several aggravating phone calls just to check the status of the parts order. No one wants to follow through on your request - they just transfer your call to a different area and you end up having to give out the same info. On one call I was transferred 5 times before I actually got a rep that was able to help me. Even the survey at the end of the call did not work. Was answering the questions and then it hung up before the survey was through. I will never buy or recommend Electrolux products.

3 yr old frostfree freezer started frosting up after 2 yrs. Read the reviews before making the purchase of stand alone fridge and freezer. Both are stainless steel and quite beautiful. This product has proved to be unreliable and I should have heeded the warnings in the reviews. Despite their beauty, I would not advise purchasing this brand.

I purchased an expensive fridge from Electrolux. The ice maker never worked. The repair people came out countless times. Repair people told me the ice maker is unfixable. I paid for an extended warranty being told that I could get a replacement for my fridge if it broke down 3 times within the year. When the break downs continued, the repairman told me that they are not allowed to report the appliance irreparable & that they are obligated to continue to try to repair it even though that is not possible. Electrolux basically never has any intention of honoring a warranty with a new appliance. It is all a big scam to get you to pay more money & them not be on the hook for a bad product. Very disappointing from a supposed high end appliance company. The customer service there is a joke and will be so frustrating to deal with. You will want to throw your fridge out the window. They will lie to you point blank about multiple things. Too long of a list to name. FYI my fridge has been the subject of a class action because it has been proven this ice maker is bunk and does not work. But under the class action of course you get nothing -- like $100. Nothing compared to the aggravation or the cost of a new fridge.

We purchased a side by side Electrolux fridge around 6 years ago. In less than a year the front display conked out which we reported to the dealership where we bought the unit, however Electrolux does not have the parts on hand. After repeated demands and expiration of the warranty no parts were delivered. Just last year almost 5 years after purchase, after a dismal customer service experience, the referred sub-contractor advised us that the motherboard gave in and lo and behold they even advised us to replace the front display, of course for a considerable fee. After repair and less than a year our fridge gave out again, less than a year mind you. Now the customer service personnel are as bad as usual, sending us unexperienced repairmen. After waiting for a month for the results of the test we were informed that the unit is beyond repair since there was a leak in the cooling lining. Is this how poor Electrolux products are? That your products can stand the test of time... Never will I buy nor recommend, and I would in fact discourage other consumers in buying your very, very, very poor products.

When you set the oven to a pre-heat setting the oven heats up to that temperature but it doesnt maintain that temp and the temp begins to fall. Called Electrolux and they recommended a repair company and they came. They replaced the heat sensor for over $200.00 in repairs. No fix. Then called another company on our own and he replaced the motherboard, still no fix. My wifes first cousin (with my help) took the oven out of the cabinet and he found that the heating element at the bottom of the oven burnt up. Replaced that heating element and now the oven works just fine. Electrolux wanted to sell me an extended warranty on the oven for $500.00, not solving the problem. Electrolux customer services is PP even though youre paying top dollar for their product.

We like the appearance and ease of use. It was fairly easy to figure out operations. Like the extra warming burner. The oven cooks evenly. We like the ability to customize burners to the size of the pan. The smooth top is easy to wipe clean. We like the self cleaning oven. The delivery men were prompt and courteous. They bolted it securely so it can't tip over which is a nice safety feature.

I am writing about Electrolux EW28BS85KS5 French Door Refrigerator. This refrigerator was a replacement for the Generation One that had the terrible problem with the ice maker and was subject of a Class Action Lawsuit. My was replaced before the Class Action even started. After many many stressful conversations with Electrolux, they made me buy an extended warranty after the fact and replaced my refrigerator with this is one. I have had this fridge now about 5 and a half years. This fridge started to have temperature problems in June of this year. The temperature of the freezer and also the fridge would go haywire. It would go up then down a bit, then up to high with the alarm sounding, then down again etc. This refrigerator also developed a rusty spot on the back of the fridge where the ice maker is. Now, the rusty spot has a thick ice on it on the outside.I ended up calling out the repair company listed on Electroluxs website. They told me that the defroster is broken and needs to be replaced ($400 for the par). They also informed me that the rusty spot with the ice forming on it cannot be fixed. There is no solution for that. They called Electrolux many times and it is not fixable. They told me that I am better off getting another refrigerator. This will leak in the back, damage my hardwood floor and also cause mold to grow. Of course, I contacted Electrolux and they are no help. Nothing can be done. They cannot and will not do anything for me. I am out of the initial investment of $4K.I am shopping for another fridge. Of course, I am not happy that I have to spend $$$ on a fridge when I only had the replacement fridge for a short period of time. In my opinion 5 and half years should not be the lifespan of a fridge. Of course, I am frustrated, wouldnt you be? I am contacting the AGs office again to file a complaint. If Electrolux had the willingness to stand behind their products, it would eliminate so many customer complaints. But, they do not care of good customer service and repeat business. Too bad for them.

We purchased Electrolux dishwasher, electric range, and fridge; have had for 4 years. First the ice maker handle broke. I ordered one from Electrolux thinking it was out of warranty. Later I found we had purchased extended warranty. By this time, the digital display on the range was not working so we called for service repair. We purchased from Lowes so their service company was A&E. They came, looked at the stove, and said they ordered a control module which I disagreed with. I said it needed the clock display module, but who was I to argue because I am not an appliance repair person, but I am a General Motors and Subaru master technician. I discussed with the service person that I had already paid for and installed a new ice maker control module not realizing it was still under warranty. So I proposed to him, “You order me a new ice module as I still have the old broken one to turn in under warranty. You can tell your company you replaced it. If you like, just leave the new module with me because if it’s broken this soon it’s bound to break again.” So the parts come and so does a different repair person. He gives me the ice module and then shows me the control board which I tell him is not the right part, but he says he is going to install it anyway. He tells me he has never worked on an Electrolux. To make long story short, he broke my cook top, had to order a new cook top, and he also ordered the clock module that I knew was the problem. They never did get the cook top mounted correctly and now my icemaker is broken again. The water and ice will not shut off, so I get the new ice module and install it...It’s junk right out of the box. I called Electrolux; they could care less...DO NOT BUY THESE APPLIANCES.

36 Electrolux Icon Professional Series Counter Depth French Door - For a refrigerator that costs 3700.00 you would think it would last WELL. You would be WRONG. Not a good investment. I do not recommend this product at all. We have had the rubber seals go bad. Pieces of some plastic just brake off and now the repairman tells us that the ice maker just ate itself. We have no power to it at all, good thing we were home. The service guy said he has seen where they have caught fire. Again glad we were home. Customer service is NO HELP AT ALL. If it was broke we did it and not covered. We have our old fridge downstairs. It is 10 years old and was 800.00 and would put the Electrolux to SHAME. So please stay away from this product. You will be glad you did.

I have had this Electrolux EI23BC35K Counter Depth Refrigerator for about two weeks now, so I am ready to give it a review. Some things that I really like about it are: Looks great, doors and drawers all open and close smoothly. The LED lights come on and transition from off to full brightness in a couple of seconds. Rounded pyramid ice cubes from the door dispenser, and near half moon shaped cubes in the freezer, plenty of ice. So far, the ice makers are working perfectly. Temperature readings on the front display appear accurate. What I don't like about this refrigerator: The compressor and fans run constantly. I have only heard it shut off once, for about 15 minutes. Even after not being opened all night long, it is still running non-stop in the morning. It does have, as other reviewers have noted, a slight, high pitched whine coming from the compressor. It's not too loud, but noticeable. Since it never cycles off, it can be a bit annoying if you have good hearing and your kitchen is open to the living area. The water filling the ice makers makes a loud whoosh noise, much louder than my previous fridge. The refrigerator arrived in decent time, considering it had to be shipped from the east coast to the west coast. Upon arrival, the packaging appeared good, and once the cardboard was removed, it all looked good so I accepted delivery. After I completed the tedious task of removing the protective film from the stainless steel front, I found a small dent in the exact middle of the freezer door. It wasn't visible with the film on, and the film took a long time to remove as it was like peeling duct tape off. The blue film on the handles come off easily, but the somewhat clear film on the doors was a royal pain to remove, taking about 40 minutes to finish. I did not make the delivery people wait while I did this, so could not mark it as damaged in shipping, so I get to live with it. That being said, I am overall fairly happy with my purchase, but would really have to think twice about buying a major appliance this way again. I saved a couple hundred over buying locally, but lost out on having the slight damage repaired. The savings I made were used to buy a SquareTrade extended warranty and new water supply line. If I have any issues in the future, I will update my review.

I bought a front loader washer in February 2016, my Front loader is now having issues (April 2017). The door will not unlock and the washer was in a middle of washing a load with 8 min left. I cant get it to finish the wash or unlock the door. I unplugged it and tried resetting it by hitting the cancel button like the customer service rep asked me to do and still nothing. I called the Electrolux service dept. and it will take 4 days to even send someone out, plus had to pay $125 service fee upfront just to even get on the waiting list for repair. That lets me know their product is a piece of crap. Never again will I spend my money on their product. Anyone reading this DO NOT BUY ELECTROLUX.

Our Electrolux Fridge model EI23BC60KS (ELECTROLUX, REF F/S 24D, FRENCH DOOR, F/D, 23CUFT, 24D, HDN HNG, I/M) started overheating about 9 months post purchase. Since then weve taken at least 12 days off work so far to have service technicians come check it out (6x now) and then waited approx a week to get a second visit where they replaced a different part each time or turned it off. Worst is that every time, weve lost hundreds of dollars in food and we have a baby so had to purchase a mini fridge to at least keep his basic items like milk cool. When I reached out to Electrolux Canada Head office the last time, they indicated they couldnt do anything other than paying for parts given it was the same issue identified during warranty period because I didnt purchase replacement insurance (this was two days post warranty period). Again the same thing happened so this will be our 7th call to a servicing company. This is the second set of Electrolux appliances (we had them in our old house as well and I recommended them to friends and family given no their sleek design). Its so not worth it though unless youre ok having a fridge that doesnt actually function. This has been the worst product and customer support experience Ive had in my life. I paid a lot of money for a fridge that didnt even last 9 months, lost hundreds of dollars in food, taken several days off work to try and resolve and still no solution or support from Electrolux whatsoever.

Been trying to get this range repaired for close to a year, spent over $700 and not repaired. Replaced main computer board, relay board, thermostats. The authorized service co. makes appointments, no show, no call. The manufacturer says the authorized repair rep must replace the last defective board. He wont even answer the phone. I went and purchased a new stove yesterday and you can bet it us NOT Electrolux.

Don’t invest in any Electrolux appliances! It’s way too expensive and not well made stainless steel material. In less than a year the plastic around the pullout drawer broke. When I called inquiring about it, they told me I have to replace the entire drawer that would cost me over $700. The front of the refrigerator is rusting. The inside door panel is rusting and leaving yellow stains. Terrible company to deal with.

We purchased the extended warranty and within the first three months we had 2 service calls for major repairs. In both cases the oven overheated and burnt up the food that was in it. A third call was made with another major repair. I wrote letters to Electrolux and the company I made the purchase and requested the appliance be replaced. Nothing was done and as soon as the warranty expired another major problem happened and cost us $550 to repair. We will never recommend Electrolux to family or friends.

I purchased one Electrolux oven through online. It had 3 years warranty. When it received no document or bill was available. Now it is not heating the oven and the service person is asking the bill to repair it under warranty. As per the manufacturing date on the oven is still valid for the warranty coverage. To repair it they need Rs 2500 to 3000 rupees. When oven cost itself is Rs 4000. Quality wise it is very very poor.

This has to be the worst refrigerator that I have ever owned! The water line for the water dispenser constantly freezes up. You have to defrost the fridge to get it to start working again. The ice maker just died. The clips for the drawers are always breaking so you have to replace them. The door shelves have broken. The freezer had water leaking on to the bottom and ice built up which would start to leak onto the floor. Hey... but it looks nice. Garbage! Dont ever buy one.

We recently moved into a 4 year old home with 7 Electrolux appliances. In the short time we have been using these fairly new appliances, we have come to realize that 3 of them are in major need of repair. The home we purchased is in impeccable shape and well-cared for so I can only assume these appliances were well-cared for as well.Probably 1: Dishwasher. When running the dishwasher the soap compartment always had a large chunk of soap left in it. The dishes felt like there was a residue left on them. (Repair bill $210). Problem 2: Second dishwasher. When we put a rinse aid in the the appropriate compartment I believe it all came out during the next few wash. It should have been released during the next 155 washes. This left all my dishes with a film that could only be removed by soaking everything in vinegar. It could not be washed off with dish soap.Problem 3: Wall Oven. It takes about 25 min to get up to 350 degrees. Once it does it cannot hold at that temperature. The temp gauge will read that the oven is at the set temp but the thermometer I placed inside will read much lower. If I push cancel and set my oven to preheat, the temp gauge will then realize it is not up to temp and start preheating. (When cooking something as simple as cupcakes I have to continually reset the oven so that it will stay at a constant temperature.)I called Electrolux. Their only recommendation is to call a repair service for each appliance. They will not offer me any kind warranty even though these appliances are only 4 years old. I was told they are man made and sometimes things break. Sure I understand that but when 3 out of our 7 are broken in the first 4 years of use I believe that is an Electrolux quality problem and not just a fluke.

I bought Electrolux Fridge for a small condo. The Fridge is tall and slick, perfect from my condo that is used only 3 months a year. Problem: makes a snoring sound, water in the back of the back of the fridge, drips all the time. Sometimes it freezes. I called Electrolux from the store, they told me I have to talk to the manufacturer. They send someone but the problem remains the same. I called them again. They told me since a year has passed I have to pay one of their authorized technician to look at it, so I called a technician and paid him. He came while I was away. I assumed problem is fixed. When back in Toronto the problem is worse. Fridge has more water on the back. I called the manufacturer they said they never received a report from their technician and since a year has passed it is not their problem. Basically Electrolux does not and does not stand behind their product. They will have a reason not deal with you. I tell everyone please, please do not buy Electrolux Fridge. It is a problem. Do not judge a book by its cover. It looks good but it is the worst quality you will ever get.
