Product Reviews:

Worst customer service ever. I ordered my washer and dryer from home depot 2 weeks before a possible delivery day. The day before delivery I receive a call that they don't have them and I must wait 1 more week. After 3 phone calls I am promised a credit to my account. A week after delivery I am wondering where my credit I was promised is so I call. I'm told the most I can be given is $100. I state that I feel my time is worth more than that. A supervisor is brought in and I'm told we will get $150 credit. Then put on hold. She reviews account (why didn't you do this first) and told because we didn't call within 48 hrs of delivery the most they can give us is $75. So I call back very frustrated. Then I'm told it's our word against theirs that we were offered that?!? What?!? Well I am sure you record conversations and that's total BS. I explained how you can't offer something then take it back. I was told the week before I was getting a credit and my account already notated. No one said, "Call within 48 hrs to dispute again to get it." Why would I have to I mean seriously. So after a total of at least 2hrs on the phone before and after delivery I am forced to settle with $75. I feel very unappreciated. I purchased and paid for $1633 worth of appliances that were a week later than promised. Called less than 24 hrs before expected delivery and told they don't even have them. Then told I'm getting a credit of $150 to be told sorry now just $75. The lady proceeds to say that she doesn't think it was because of the phone call not being made. What? Are you serious. WELL THAT WAS THE LAME EXCUSE I WAS GIVEN SO I COULD CARE LESS IF IT WASNT THE REAL REASON. THAT JUST MEANS I WAS LIED TO. I promise I will never buy Maytag Whirlpool again. One customer may not mean much to you but good customer service means everything to me.

My washer or dryer's performance include being very reliable and definitely very tough on all types of stain removal on clothes. I have had it for over 5 years and still work very well. My washer or dryer's reliability can fit all of my needed items, such as: underwear, socks, shirts and pants. I definitely recommend this washer and dryer to all of you. My washer and dryer's appearance include big buttons and lots of cool options on it to really get the job done right. I definitely recommend this type of washer and dryer in the home. The perceived value of my washer and dryer is around $700 to $800. It is definitely worth the investment because it really does last a really long time and I approve this machine.

I would never buy a Maytag dryer again. It has been serviced 3x since purchasing in 2010.

I love the way the clothes are clean when I wash them. I also love how well they are rung out when I get them out of the washer to be put into the dryer. The washing time isn’t too long either as compared to other washers I’ve used where it took almost an hour to wash and the clothes didn’t seem as clean.

This expensive appliance is a total waste of my money. Thought I was buying top-of-the-line washer, so spent a bit more. My laundry comes out with obvious dirty marks on it, which must be mold being slung onto the fabric. I don't have confidence that anything is really clean. I have had black streaks on white slacks, sheets, blouses, etc. It is disgusting. I have to hand-wash these marks out the best I can; don't always come clean. Have also thrown out 2 full sets of towels due to looking so nasty & dingy. They do NOT come clean. Also have had problems with the balance, where the machine will not spin out the water with 7 minutes left in the cycle. It keeps adding more water, trying to weigh the load, but cannot spin. Wind up having to pull dripping wet clothes out, finish rinsing the best I can in the bathtub, try to hand-wring these heavy items, and let the dryer run way too hard to dry them. Don't ever buy an LG front-load washing machine. Got this in January 2010; it was manufactured 11/10/2009. It is a piece of JUNK!

This dryer ripped a gaping hole with sharp shards of metal exposed. It was working fine, and then it made a weird noise. It stopped and I assumed my laundry was done. We go to remove clothing and cut hand open on exposed metal. As if that wasn't bad enough, several hundreds of dollars in clothing had cuts in them. This dryer worked great for years, and out of the blue this happened. I'm a widowed disabled mother, and can't afford a new dryer.

I have a Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer set. The heating element went out on the dryer when it was less than a year old. I purchased the set at Lowe's. They sent out a repair person who called and told them it was the heating element and he replaced it. Two weeks went by and I could smell something burning. I called Lowe's and after two weeks' wait the repairman showed back up. He said that the control panel was bad. Lowe's replaced my dryer and I have not had any further issues with it. Lowe's gets an A+. My washer went out about a year later. It was making the loudest noise on the spin cycle. The repair person came out about 2 weeks after I called and told me that the washer was basically worthless, that the repair would cost more than the washer would to replace. I was totally shocked and decided to use it until it died. In the meantime, I found a repair/used appliance place. They repaired it for $235 and it ran for about 4 months. Then the noise returned. I have had it repaired again. Now the control panel gives me the SE light and stops running with 27 minutes left in the wash cycle. I have had nothing but problems with this machine. I would not recommend Whirlpool to anyone. I'm going to have to replace this machine and it has cost me lots of $$. Junk!!

It only lasted us about a year and quit on us. It should work longer than that. What a rip-off. I had a refrigerator from Hotpoint that lasted me 14 years. Why can't a dryer last that long? It was a simple washing machine. It did not have all the digital stuff on it, which is the way I like them. I don't like all of those digital stuff on it. That makes it complicated. Not a very good value if you pay all that money and it only works a year. I would expect a digital one to break easier but this was one of the simple ones with just knobs on it. It should not have stopped when it did.

We purchased a Kenmore Calypso Washer & Dryer in 2001/2002 at Sears after salesman highly recommended the new washing technique. We purchased an extended warranty on both, thank goodness. The serviceman had to come out several times regarding both machines, most often the washer. The motherboard went out once or twice, clothes smell, some clothing getting caught under wash tub and marks on clothes. Our darks get white streaks, our whites have gotten horribly gray so much I won't even buy light clothing anymore. I do throw in 1/2-1 cup of baking soda with the loads to help with the smell. The dryer will sometimes take 2-4 cycles to get clothes dry. Finally now my washer went out. After reading all these comments I see there was a recall which I knew nothing about. I had actually extended the warranty a 2nd time before it expired. Sears would have known about a recall at that point. I am very disappointed and will not buy a Kenmore or Whirlpool product again.
