It does not clean dishes as well as other, cheaper DWs weve had. Doesnt have any features I find useful. It holds less stuff than any others Ive had. It is modern and nondescript looking. It is very quiet - you can hardly tell its running. That is the only thing I like about it. It doesnt clean well, but has a very long cycle, well over two hours. It doesnt hold enough dishes, so has to be run daily. The worst part about this brand is the customer service. It is the worst service I have ever experienced in my life, and I am 65 years old. I have spoken to several of their service people, and all have been unbelievably awful. One of them was so abusive she had me in tears, and I do not cry easily! I will never, ever, EVER, buy another Bosch product again!

My new 500-series dishwasher produces huge clouds of toxic and awful-smelling air--and this from the very first wash. I hired a service person to come in and check the installation. That was perfect. Dishes appear to be steamed rather than washed. Every coffee cup looks dirty when I remove it despite using the 10-minute rinse cycle on days when I do not run the wash. Everything is sopping wet. The smell from the insulation around the unit to keep it quiet, Ive read is so noxious, that it assaults anyone who comes into the kitchen. Even when the washer isnt running, it stinks. Ive tried leaving the door open so that the water can evaporate and things can dry. I have come to avoid the kitchen and find myself eating out and bringing food in rather than generate dishes. Bosch did not respond to my complaint. I regret purchasing a Bosch and Im angry that its off-gasses have pushed everyone out of the kitchen.

Nice dishwasher but horrible customer service from Bosch. Kept getting E24 message, after only having dishwasher a few months. Called Bosch, no service available for about three weeks from BOSCH. Was told there were authorized subcontractors and was given several numbers. Most of them did not even service my area. Called Bosch and informed them. Even spoke to a supervisor who gave me additional numbers that were not valid. Once again the dishwasher is under warranty but Bosch customer service was very poor. In the end I was able to fix the problem myself.

Bought floor model from Lowes. As a Lowes employee I am well aware of Lowes deficiencies and should have expected that they would sell a returned item without the parts needed for installation. Boschs do not direct wire; they need a custom connector for the electrical connection. But I called Bosch and told them the parts were missing. Their rep took all my information and promised to send them. Then they emailed back to me (which I failed to notice) and stated their supervisor (super ** or super **) stated since it was a floor model I would have to take back their promise and I would have to pay for the parts. Did not include part numbers, how much, etc. to make it even harder for me to order. This is causing a 10 day delay in installation, etc. Just know Bosch which wants $800-2000 for a dishwasher is willing to sell their reputation for some parts revenue. Thought these Germans were smarter than that but obviously the South was the wrong place to locate their plant. Obviously I am very pissed off about this.

My wonderful Bosch dishwasher recently stopped dispensing the detergent. Since its under warranty, I have followed all the required steps and jumped through the requested hoops, but have discovered that Bosch obviously does not offer service in our area. Over the past week I have spent 2 hours and 47 minutes on the phone (most of it on hold), been disconnected (with no return call from them) 3 times, and have emailed with no response twice. I have a file number now due to the concerns about no service provider in our area, but that seems to be simply a pacifier, since it has proven to provide nothing. Bosch service is THE worst!

My new Bosch dishwasher is simply the best I’ve ever had. The fact that it looks nice in my kitchen makes it nice, but the way the loading space is utilized makes it the best. I no longer have to worry about glasses or cups knocking together due to the deep ridges in that area. The size of the appliance is carefully organized to hold a large load easily. I like it’s quiet statement!

Purchased B20CS30SNS fridge from Home Depot on March 2020 (in the peak of Pandemic) for my tenants who lives in the apartment. They delivered defect appliance. Tenants did not realize that water dispenser was not functioning well as they never use it before. As a landlord, I was not able to visit during the pandemic till October. I found out that the water is not running from dispenser plus ice are not producing. I contacted Bosch warranty department which took at least 1 hrs to speak. They sent technician in November and End of December. The Fridge is still not working. The valve in the back of the fridge has be to replaced. Im very upset and frustrating due to slow response. How could this brand new fridge need to replace the parts within 6 months? Very unreliable and handling customer complain unfairly.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Lowes in October of 2016. The configuration was somewhat clunky but we dealt with it. We followed all manufacturer recommendations for use and had no problems until April 2019. After loading it and running it the cycle ended before it should have, when I opened the dishwasher it was full of dirty water and the dishes were not clean. I checked the book and online. Followed the directions to empty the water and check the filters. There was nothing blocking the filter. I tried to run it again, stopped after 10 minutes again full of water. Again followed the steps. Called Lowes. Was told that since it was more than a year old I needed to contact Bosch. I contacted Bosch who claimed the problem appeared to be in the control module. They offered a few (3) Bosch Authorized Service Centers, I called the one that was only 30 miles away (closest), after 30 minutes on the phone with model number and serial number they told me the part I needed was no longer available and if I wanted a service call it was $100 up front and they could not get here for two weeks. My husband found the correct part online, ordered it from Bosch ($110 plus shipping), he installed it and the problem was still there. You turn on the dishwasher and it runs for 30 seconds, then claims it is sanitized. We then called a different repair company and they could not figure out what was wrong. We went back to Lowes hoping for at least the offer of a discount from a new dishwasher. No support, they said we should call a local appliance repair company to fix it. I told them I would call a local appliance company to sell me a new dishwasher. Apparently 30 months is the length of time a dishwasher is supposed to last. Very very disappointed with Bosch and with Lowes.

Good washer.. overall.... but was very surprised I am forced to put the blue rinse fluid in it or it will not operate. The pegs that hold the dishes are oddly spaced on the bottom rack and have little flexibility and it is often hard to put dishes and pans in there. Also frustrating to have 2 removable silver trays.. replaced it with one large one. Wish there was one for the top rack instead as the problems with the bottom rack leave it with fewer items.

Bosch 800 44-Decibel Top Control 24-in Built-In Dishwasher. This is my first Bosch dishwasher. It is Super quiet, you know its running due to the led light that signs on the floor. It seems to clean very well. We use the cascade platinum pods and rinse aid on auto wash. All works fine. The annoying stuff, the power cord is like 8 long so you will have to replace the cord with a six footer unless your outlet is directly behind the unit on lower right hand corner. Salt for the water softener will have to be ordered online and shipped to you.

Scrapes on my brand new Bosch dishwasher. The outside is very, very delicate. I have already gotten 3 scrapes on the front panel, in just a few months. The front has no protection to keep this from happening and I now am very sorry I got this dishwasher from Lowes although it does clean the dishes very well. Not sure if I can use appliance paint to cover these up or if it will make it worse.

It gets the dishes clean. Thats all it does... cleans dishes. Im very happy with the results. Third (top) rack for utensils or silverware -- no more bending to load the silver, its waist height and sooo easy to load then transfer to drawers when cleaned. Besides the absolute quiet of the machine the silverware rack is my favorite feature! Its 24 wide -- standard full size under counter DW. Clean lines, Stainless steel finish, Control panel is hidden. There are a couple of options for handle/no handle. I paid slightly more than most major brands -- and it was money well spent. This dishwasher is so much better, quieter, more convenient than my previous two.

I purchased an Bosch 800 series dishwasher late 2018. This is my second Bosch dishwasher, I loved my first one. It was super quiet and cleaned beautifully. I cant say the same for this one. Last week it stopped working giving me an error message. I tried to troubleshoot myself. It makes a loud grinding noise, sounds like the drain pump. I called the 800 number, the call center tried troubleshoot to no avail. Scheduled service, the dishwasher is still under warranty.I requested the the latest appt in the day, to accommodate my work schedule and long story short the service department is very unaccommodating for customers that cant sit at home all day waiting to a tech. I was told they would send a list of other service vendors to who do Bosch warranty work in my community (Orlando, FL). After 2 requests for the list, still not received. My dishwasher is still not functional almost a week later. Extremely disappointed in the product and the lack of service for what is supposed to be a superior product.

Monday, November 06, 2017, I received by mail the Bosch Important Safety Recall Notice - Bosch Dishwashers letter regarding potential fire hazard. The dishwasher power cord can overheat and it was suggested to STOP using the appliance immediately if you have one of the affected models. I located my model and serial number and found that my dishwasher is affected by the 2017 recall expansion! I immediately went to the Bosch dishwasher recall registration Web page. Based on the information provided and my address, I received a list (only one agency name was listed) of authorized service agents that would inspect and repair my dishwasher at no charge, along with a reference number. So far, so good! On that very same day, I contacted the repair agency, gave them the information requested and was told they will order the part, and when the part is received they will call to schedule the repair appointment, and told me that it would probably be by the end of the week. By the end of the business week, Friday, November 10, 2017, they never called. On Tuesday, November 14, 2017, AGAIN I called Bosch authorized service agent to ask for update on repair request. I was told the power cord is now expected to arrive on Thursday, November 16, 2017, and the repair will be scheduled for Friday, November 17, 2017, between 8AM - 5PM. I was also told the repairman will call me the day before, on Thursday, November 16, 2017, to narrow down the time within a two hour window for Fridays repair. On Friday, November 17, 2017, AGAIN I called Bosch authorized service agent since their repairman was a No Call, No Show. I was told that the repair has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 21, 2017 and that the part is still not in but should be in today or Monday the 20th. And, the repairman will call me on Monday, November, 20, 2017 with the time window for the Tuesday, November 21, 2017 repair. Maelynn, the service agent apologized for not calling to inform me and was not sure who even changed the repair schedule from November 16th to the 21st. Well, it is now Wednesday, November 22, 2017 and I still have NO dishwasher repaired, NO date for a repair, UNABLE to use the dishwasher, Thanksgiving is tomorrow and all the dirty dinner dishes will have to be washed the old fashioned way...by hand. Thanks Bosch for a less than stellar customer service response from your authorized service agency technicians.

I remodeled my kitchen in July of 2011. I got a gas stovetop and the vent is the Bosch 10282541 downdraft system. This is approx. $1,200 and has never worked for more than a month at a time. Currently, its not working, and Bosch will not repair it. I contacted Bosch in October of 2011 and they gave me a name of a company to work with. They came out, assessed the problem and after 6 weeks of no contact, no update, no fix, I had to contact Bosch and get another name of a company to fix the problem. Again, after weeks of delay, they came out and fixed it.And after 2 months, the vent broke again. They were in the process of fixing this, and again, it was delayed due to a back problem with the repairman. They did a partial fix, but then needed more repairs - and Bosch said the time was out for the year of in-warranty repair. During the first year this was installed, it was not working more than it was working. On Thanksgiving and every major holiday, I was without a fan. I contacted Bosch several times, and they promised to have a supervisor call me back, but that never happened. I have resolved to not buy Bosch appliances ever again as my fix.

SuperSilence 42 dBA (Model SHX7ER55UC/50) - We have had this dishwasher about 2-1/2 years, so it is beyond warranty for this problem. The dishwasher has performed well despite a recall to replace the power cord. Now, however, the plastic caps at the ends of the door handle are cracking and breaking off. Their authorized dealer/rep wants a $90 service charge to replace in $20 parts. They knew exactly what we were talking about, so I suspect this is a well known Bosch problem. Bosch customer service is stonewalling us. I moved into a brand new building with a Bosch Axxis washer and dryer that had never been used. I am the apartments first occupant. I have always had some issue with these appliances, but what I have dealt with in the past week has taken the cake. My first issues were similar to most peoples on this site: the washer does not fully dry out after use and is left with a mildew smell which then gets on the clothes and the dryer does not fully dry unless run for hours and, again, leaves the clothes with a mildew smell and leaves you with an expensive electric bill. This was hardly energy saving. My most intense grievance is with the cheap latch design on the washer and the customer service I received in response to this issue. I closed the washer after loading it up with clothes and the latch on the washer (not the door) fell into the machine making it not possible to close the washer and therefore not possible to run it. I called my maintenance man in my building who directed me to the Bosch customer service line. We relayed what happened and said we needed a new latch or something needed to be fixed on the latch. Someone came to fix the issue the next day. By fixing the issue, I mean the man just pulled the latch out and put it where it was, leaving it to be able to fall back into the machine, which is what it did immediately when we tried to use it. When we called the service man who came from Bosch, he said no one told him he needed to put a new latch so he basically did not do anything. We called to make a new appointment and they said they could come 1 month later. That is just unacceptable. They finally said a third party person could come in 4 days. I am waiting to see if this third party person will actually fix the latch. This all occurred 4 months after moving in. So 4 months of use on the washer. Thats all. The funniest part is that the service man even admitted he did nothing to fix the issue. These products are cheap and the service is awful. Do not buy from this company.

The dishwasher is great, dishes are clean, etc. The biggest feature though is how quiet this dishwasher is - you cannot hear it operating! We love it! Never had one this quiet. If your home is noisy due to kids, pets, technology or whatever, this is one appliance that will not contribute to the cacophony. This is the quietest dishwasher Ive ever experienced and a joy to operate. It has three shelves for one thing with the top one perfect for silverware and utensils. It works great - dishes are clean and sparkling every time... And youll never know its operating.

On December 2, 2019 dishwasher quit working. Called Bosch and was referred to factory certified repair company. Repairman came and looked at dishwasher on January 2, 2020. He took a look at the washer and said it had burned out the junction box just like all the recall units he had replaced. He went back to shop and the people contacted bosch about the washer. They wanted documentation like proof of purchase. We provided and heard nothing from bosch.I contacted bosch the next week and they said they had no paperwork and contacted the shop. While I was on hold, the shop sent paperwork again right away and then I was told I had to provide pictures. Contacted bosch again the next week and they said they had no paperwork even after providing case number. Installed new factory fresh Bosch dishwasher for my mother on August 17, 20
Installed new factory fresh Bosch dishwasher for my mother on August 17, 2016. 20 minutes into initial clean cycle E:15 code appears on display with drain pump running continuously. Called Bosch customer service and was told this indicates an internal water leak. Bosch provided 3 phone numbers for local service technicians and told me I would need to schedule a repair appointment because Bosch customer service was too busy taking other calls. Earliest appointment was 1 week out. Bosch factory certified technician confirmed internal water leak and after 1 hour of troubleshooting determined the distribution/circulation pump seal needs to be replaced. The new part (which retails for less than $2.00) will take 3-5 business days to arrive and then a follow-up appointment can be scheduled to install the new part.Based on the other reviews Ive read, I am skeptical that this will solve the problem. The other observation during the initial clean cycle was that while the unit was draining, a large amount of black debris seemed to be discharging through the drain hose. I am wondering if this is the mold problem Ive read in some of the other complaints/reviews. The drain hose is almost clear so it was easy to see the darker looking debris. After a couple of drain cycles, the discharge water was free of black debris. I understand the units are tested in the factory before being packed up for shipment so a small amount of water in the bottom of the pump is normal but why the mold? When I mentioned this to the Bosch customer service representative I was told that they had never heard of such a thing before (really?!).Why didnt the factory test detect the leak problem? If it did, was a decision made to go ahead and ship a defective unit out anyway? I have an older Bosch dishwasher (purchased in 2008) that never had problems like this. My mother always comments on how quiet it runs when she visits. It would appear Bosch has significant quality control issues on the assembly line and perhaps throughout the entire enterprise that need to be addressed. Customer service is basically constrained to follow a script that seems to weigh heavily in favor of the corporations bottom line and not the end user. I will be loath to recommend Bosch products to anyone until these systemic problems are rectified. This could be the undoing of what was once revered as a solid company as consumers find better products from other vendors. It looks like my mother just wasted $700 on a flawed product and instead has bought into the additional frustration of chasing warranty claims. I should mention that I own a now discontinued front loading Bosch clothes washing machine that recently was involved in a class action settlement (you might have guessed, for mold problems) for which I received a check in the amount of $55. That amount does not cover the cost of a new front door seal that breeds black mold every 12 months or so requiring replacement. I am on my 3rd door seal in 3 years of use. The first replacement was under warranty. The second replacement was at my expense (~$85 plus shipping plus an hour of my time to install it!).

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher because I liked the 3rd rack feature, the super quiet rating, and seemingly good reputation. This dishwasher does Not clean the cups or glasses. The glasses taste like soap and the cups are still dirty inside. The repair came out twice, changed the soap dispenser, told me not to use rinse aide, to always use the heavy setting and extra dry. The glasses are better, but the cups are not and I have to wash all the cups before they go into the machine. It can be hard to arrange the dishes in the lower rack. I have bent some of the tines to make a 9x13 baking dish fit.We bought this dishwasher and a GE range the same day, it took 2 months for delivery. Apparently, Bosch starts the warranty before the consumer actually has the product. The GE Range is still under warranty, while the Bosch dishwasher is not. GE starts the warranty upon delivery, not purchase, which seems much more fair to the consumer. Bosch warranty and service were both not much help. How a warranty can start before the product is in your home being used is ridiculous and unfair. But it doesn’t change the fact that it isn’t even a good dishwasher. We do Not recommend Bosch. Go GE.

Bosch 800 slide in electric range.. 5 burner. There is a major flaw with the self-cleaning feature. After two hours of the four hour cleaning cycle, an error code, E302, appears on the panel. This has happened both times the oven has been cleaned. The instructions from Bosch Help Line (nothing in the manual regarding this problem) are to turn off the electrical breaker when the error message appears for ten to thirty minutes (depending on the representative you are talking with), then turn the breaker back on. The oven will then complete the cleaning process (hopefully). Why would you have to turn the breaker off each time you clean the oven? This range cost $1799.10 + tax. A range this expensive should clean properly.

To say Im beyond irritated is an understatement. For THREE WEEKS Ive tried contacting Bosch. I wait on hold for over an hour & submit service requests online, but they clearly dont care. I bought a house with a Bosch refrigerator & weve lived here for less than a year. So far the ice machine is broken & theres an internal fan that sounds like a semi trucks jake brake. Ive done troubleshooting on my own with 0 results. At this time Im reminded why I prefer Whirlpool, LG and Samsung. You dont get what you pay for with Bosch. Go with a more trusted brand.

I bought my dishwasher in May of 2011, and it worked fine until October 2012 when it decided to spring a leak. Due to my work schedule, it took a couple of weeks to schedule and receive the new parts for the dishwasher. The part that did arrive was broken but the technician was able to make it work. Everything has gone worked since, well, until yesterday. Another leak and the dishwasher is now out of warranty. I looked at the original estimate for repair and realized that the cost of repair would nearly be half of a new dishwasher. I am convinced I bought a bad dishwasher and I am just having some bad luck. I think I will try a different brand. Just like a Chevy. I cant stand them and find them to have reliability issues. I am sure the same goes with dishwashers.

I purchased a Bosch Dishwasher about 2 1/2 years ago. From the very 1st day it never cleaned that well. It had gotten really bad after about 2 years. It was not cleaning anything at all off the dishes. Called Bosch and all the 800 rep said is that they will send a repairman out. I could not believe that they would not stand by their product since I have called several times within the 1st year. Now Im stuck with a dishwasher that I have to completely wash everything off plates, silverware, etc. or it comes out dirty. I thought I was doing a good thing but purchasing a Bosch, it is the biggest mistake I ever made. DONT BUY A BOSCH UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASH!!!!

We purchased a Bosch refrigerator while building our house. By the time we plugged it in we had owned it 6 mos at least. This was in August 2016. By Jan 2017 we began having problems. Ice maker had barely worked from beginning. Then refrigerator part broke right after one yr warranty, even though it had only run 6 mos. $700 in repairs. Now refrigerator began freezing everything. So repairs are over $500. But repairman showed us the part that broke and we put gorilla tape over the air coming out freezing everything until we decided whether to pay another $500 or throw this $3,200 POS in the garbage.

We replaced our 20 yr old Maytag with a Bosch... it arrived the first week of Jan. 2015. I never liked how my dishes fit in it.... glasses tipped over and it was hard to fit in mugs and bowls. I noticed that there was an orange greasy residue near the door hinge after each cycle. I made it a practice to clean that area every time I emptied the machine. We used the Finish Powerballs and rinse agent. Our water heater is new and the water is very hot. Then I noticed a smell when drinking from a glass. This morning there was an odor from the machine when I went to empty it... nothing in the filter... Smelled like a wet dog. Returning machine.

Have an expensive 8 yr old Bosch refrigerator. Already replaced water pump (about $400.) now door handle broke off at bottom. Bosch CS is worthless. Most repair services dont handle bosch - cant readily get parts. Those that do wont give prices - they want $100 service call to diagnose prob and then order parts for 2nd visit. And cant get price of new handle without a costly visit -- some scam theyve got going. It also never produces enough ice. Supposed to be stainless steel - aside from not being stainless its not magnetic - so what kind of SS is it really. My opinion is to never buy bosch anything.

Admittedly, my Bosch Oven is now over 10 years old and out of warranty. However, this is the second time that the Bosch Oven has exploded with glass shattering over the floor and the people in the kitchen. Whilst I expect some ovens to grow old, I do not expect them to explode - especially twice now. The first was when the oven was being used and the second time was when the oven had cooled down. The first time, Bosch provided some (around 40%) reimbursement. On the second contact, first impression from customer service was that they were interested, but since then, they have been notably unavailable for comment or response. I wont be recommending a Bosch Oven purchase to anyone - in fact my response would be the opposite.

This oven has a control panel with loads of stupid features, timer, Sabbath mode, clock (with year, month, date - who cares!!!) and so on. Its just an oven! Nobody needs that stuff. The control panel is the root of all thats wrong with the oven - if Bosch had just made the oven with power on off, temperature dial, light switch and convection fan on/off, Im sure itd work forever. Not now, the control panel has always been wonky, insisting on setting the time before you can turn on the oven! Now it refuses to accept time changes, thus rendering the oven inoperable. Lunacy. I was traveling from MA and was in NYC helping my family member drive to have some tooth surgery done. During my down time went online and as I recently bought the Bosch washer, I wanted to see if there was a dryer out there. Fortunately there was, it was actually an open box at this location, I had a very good experience with the service at this location and also 5* on the product itself too. I went in and was greeting Denise, she was very helpful during the whole process and even allowed my to view the dryer in person in the bay before committing to the purchase. I really liked how quick she got me checked out and was super friendly. I have to give this store 5* for quick and friendly staff. Now back to the dryer. Wow, so nice, best dryer I’ve ever owned in my life. Extremely quite and piggyback ready the washer I just bought too. If you live in a small studio or apt, these are the absolute best washer/dryers you can get for cleaning g and silent operation. One and only drawback, 220v and the hefty type, definitely check your connections first, otherwise! Love it!!!

DON’T BUY A BOSCH. PLEASE SHARE!! I’d give a minus 5 stars if possible!! Purchased a Bosch dishwasher December 11, 2015 from LOWES for our Florida condo. This condo is used FIVE (5) months out of the YEAR. So this dishwasher has been used 15 months! Lifetime tub warranty. Bad quality rubber seal. You can see by the photos it’s disintegrating. After calling, getting bounced around then waiting 24-48 hours for a return call...they send out their technician. He lies and says he never saw this before. We tell him we found out that our neighbor next-door at the condo had the same model and the exact same thing happened! Coincidental? I think not. Then he said, “Yes it’s bad batch of rubber and the dishwasher will leak. It’s not fixable.” Call again. The one department they transfer us to then another, we have to wait 24 to 48 hours for each return call, never give us direct numbers. We have to wait for them to return our calls. Then we have to fill out paperwork. They want to prorate the dishwasher. Make us pay almost $300 again for the proration, delivery fee and tax. Purchasing delivery installation we paid over $700 for this piece of crap. Filled out all the necessary paperwork. Never hear anything. Call, tell us they got it and reviewing now. Wait over a week. And NOW they say they never received the paperwork we filled out. Resend. We need to wait another 48 hours. From the beginning they knew the absolute last date we could have this dishwasher delivered. They had it in their notes. Well it’s too late now. We’re not going to be here any longer to have a delivery of the dishwasher. I will go buy a GE in the Fall and have it installed. I will never buy a Bosch again. I will do everything I can to let everyone know the lack of integrity and honesty this company possesses. Please share our story so another sucker doesn’t get taken. Bosch knew they had a bad failed batch of rubber seal gaskets out there. And yet they left their dishwashers in the vendor’s warehouse, no recall, to continue to push failed equipment on consumers to continue purchasing their subpar product. When we moved into a new house in 2009, we bought and installed a Bosch SHE45M05UC/50 dishwasher. It worked fine until about 2012. At that point cups on the top started coming out of the machine with white grit on the inside/outside. The same crud collected in the slides of both racks, along the seal of the door, and on the door where the plastic plate is on the top rack as well as other places. Now dishes on the bottom sometimes also have this gritty crud on them when we pull them out. We have a water softener so it isnt hard water, and the filters have been repeatedly scrubbed and rinsed. I always check to make sure the spray arms are able to rotate freely before I shut the door and turn it on. Ive had a trusted repairman out here twice and he cant figure it out. I read other posts about the circulation pump possibly being an issue but havent had it replaced. Im wondering if others have and if so, did it help? I certainly wouldnt buy another Bosh appliance. I purchased an Energy Star Bosch dishwasher about two years ago. It runs quietly but my main complaint is that even when I use the power wash cycle (which I always use now), the dishes just dont come out clean. I need to practically wash them before I load them in. And then after the cycle is finished, the glasses on the top rack always have food remnants on and in them. Also, the dishes sometimes are still dirty in places. I think that being an Energy Star appliance, quality and efficiency have been compromised for the sake of conserving water and electricity. In addition it probably costs me more money to pre-wash the dishes before I put them in the dishwasher! I also find that the silverware rack is in the wrong place. The silverware catches on the side making the rack stick when you pull it out. It also is on the other side of the dishwasher when loading. I owned a Maytag dishwasher for 12 years and loved it; I never even called a repairman. I will not buy another Bosch!

We purchased 3 Bosch appliances when we built our house 6 years ago. The dishwasher and microwave are up to par. All appliances are working. However, our 30 BOSCH gas range is experiencing rust spots on the lower drawer and around the main door. The enamel has come off part of the top of the range. I know from past experience with another dishwasher in my previous custom home, which Sears stood behind, that had rust spots on the door panel. The repairman actually said its a knock off from China and this is not stainless steel. I will say that my opinion is this is the same problem with the Bosch oven. Most people know that magnets do not stick to stainless steel. Well, start testing! Magnet sticks to my stainless steel dishwasher, microwave, range door and range lower drawer which means the appliances are NOT stainless steel. The magnet does not stick to my LG refrigerator which is 10 years old so it is true stainless steel. Since BOSCH and the store I purchase it from advertised these products are stainless steel, I paid for stainless steel. Customer service is not up to par. The customer service rep and a supervisor talked about my business to my cleaning lady as she called them to defend her use of cleaning products as BOSCH tech said my cleaning products must contain bleach. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, Attorney General as I feel this is false advertisement. and to BOSCH, I am glad you recorded the conversation with my cleaning lady as you had no right to speak with her about my business and to make her an offer on my range of 20% off. I had a Bosch refrigerator for many years and was very happy. I recently had to renew the fridge and opted to buy Bosch again, however I am very disappointed in the new design. Shelves are not the right distance apart (not allowing the stacking of such things as 2 yogurt pots) thus wasting lots of space, putting a huge draw in place of a door shelf, door shelves with a cover, the freezer is much smaller than the previous even though the external dimensions are the same. The new fridge makes lots of squeaking noises. Your designers are IDIOTS. I will be looking at another manufacturer when I change this fridge.

When I had to replace the dishwasher that came with my home when I bought it, I wanted an excellent product and was willing to pay for it. I chose a Bosch from a local appliance dealer. While I havent had mechanical issues like many reviewers, the performance of this very expensive dishwasher is dismal. The dishes do not get clean or dry, and there is often a strange biological-type odor after the cycle runs. I will never purchase another Bosch product.

Purchased dishwasher 11 months ago and displayed error code E20. Bosch dispatched local tech who determined it needed over $600 in parts to repair. Tech also indicated they had absolutely no knowledge of how to repair a Bosch. Called customer support to ask why they wouldnt just replace since retail on the unit is only $800. They indicated they want to give it a shot with the tech. So now a tech with no experience is going to completely take apart a dishwasher in my home and hopefully it doesnt leak and destroy my house after hes done. Customer service was extremely unprofessional and rude. Stay away from Bosch. While they may have a record of low repairs. If you do have an issue they dont stand behind their product.

This dishwasher works well with Finish Rinse Aid. I like the design with the third rack on top which I use for silverware and cooking implements. But the settings are complicated. The washer almost always gets everything clean with a few exceptions for burned on food. Ive had it four years, so far so good.

Bought a Bosch SMV46G00G dishwasher, thinking Bosch would be good. My previous cheaper SMEG dishwasher, could be switched to ECO setting and left to run its long cycle whilst I went off to bed. Result? Clean dry dishes in the morning. So I did the same with my expensive Bosch washer. Result? Soaking wet dishes and machine in the morning. Ah! but it saves you energy costs, say Bosch. Thats no good to me if it doesnt do the job, is it? I could take it all down to the local stream and save even more energy and money. I expected a machine that was capable of switch and forget. Instead I have to wait until its finished before I can open the door and let it dry overnight. Poor, stupid design. Why not have a mechanism to open the door automatically after a drying time? Too difficult? I think not, it was standard design on USA machines. Recommendation? Dont buy.

I bought a brand new refrigerator, but there are parts that I can not install as the manual is not clear about them. So, I thought I will call and ask. No such luck: calls are disconnected, they hung up on me, they say that I have to hang up and they call back - and never do, I can hear them and they do not hear me....I wrote email to their web site, got an automated reply but no call back....I am so frustrated I am thinking of returning the whole thing, because I dont trust the company.

I have now been without a refrigerator for 4 weeks - during a worldwide health crisis. This Bosch refrigerator has NOT WORKED SINCE INSTALL. I have had the warranty company service 4 times. Still not working. Now I am trying to get replacement from Bosch and they say, "We are waiting on supervisor approval." I have been unable to get supervisor on the phone. Will NEVER purchase from Bosch again.

When my Bosch dishwasher was 4 years old a safety recall was done at no charge. I had a similar problem again four more years later and called their customer help line to see what it would cost to have a service technician check it out. When I gave them my serial number and explained the problem I was having the representative said it may be the same problem as previous and as it was safety related there would be no charge. Their rate at the time was in excess of $100.00 per hour. I explained to the rep that I did not want to pay that much if there was a possibility it was not the same problem. She assured me that there would be no charge for the diagnosis. The repairman came and found that the electrical connection to the unit had shorted. He installed a new wire connector at no charge even though it was no fault of their product. It has been working fine since then and is now ten year old, but when it does finally die I will definitely buy another Bosch dishwasher. Their product and service has far exceeded my expectations.

Waiting for over 2 months for the power cord on our Bosch dishwasher to be replaced. Cannot be used due to fire hazard. Bosch rep impossible. Tried to push blame for delay on their required service rep. The serv. rep has spoken with us 4 times and is very proactive and very reliable. (Weve used him before.) He cant replace the part if its not sent to him. Weve had it with the run around from Bosch!

When searching for kitchen appliances during a recent, major kitchen remodel, we decided on Bosch which turned out to be a very poor decision! Two convection ovens, gas cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, and vent hood. After being in service for less than 2 years, both the dishwasher and microwave have required major parts replacement. Dont fall for the hype!

We purchased four Bosch appliances in January 2011 and by November 2011, there was rust on them. Our fridge looked like someone sprayed the rust on it. It is that bad. We contacted Bosch and they sent a service person to look at it and confirmed the problem. He said that the appliances werent 100% Stainless steel because he tested it with a magnet and there was some magnetic attraction. Anyway, he then tried cleaning it per his instructions from Bosch and the rust remained. We contacted Bosch about what the service man said and then was told that the appliance were only warranted for 30 days for cosmetic defects and we should try cleaning it again. We tried cleaning again this time using a very fine steel wool. Some spots were removed but still left a residual stain but many, many spots the rust remained. We then contacted Bosch again. They asked us to send pictures and then they offered to give us 50% off replacement parts as their solution to the defective appliances we paid full price for. This is not the answer we expected from a company who sells what they call top of the line appliances. We were told that the problem of rust was because our condo is on the ocean in FL I cant believe that everyone living on coastal America has had rust problems on their appliances with in a year of purchase. Our Floridian neighbors dont seem to have this problem with other brands. Also we had purchased Bosch appliances for our CT home in 2007and have no rusting problems and we live a block from the sea. I read on rekitchen.com that Bosch warranties against rust on dishwashers. This obviously is not true. From what Ive read here, Bosch does not live up to their reputation!

After extensive research on the best dishwasher on the market we found that it was Bosch. We purchased one on 1/30/16 from Sears. Upon delivery they told us that the fact that we were told and there was a sign on the dishwasher we bought that we would get a supply of Finish dishwasher tablets that it was a mistake. I was told to call and deal with Bosch on it did not get anywhere with it. Sears had to come back because it was not hooked up properly before I could actually use it. After getting it hooked up it worked good for the few months we used it. We are only in the property it was installed in a maximum of 5 months. The dishwasher began giving us an E20 code and when we looked it up online it said pump or motor problem. I called for service first at Sears and was told it would be 2 weeks at least before service. Called Bosch and they gave us a number and was told the same thing 2 weeks at least. Went online to chat with Sears and was told that the pump and motor had at least a 2 year warranty. Today repairman came said the pump is bad and that the warranty would not cover. They told us to call Bosch directly to talk to them and have been trying all day but cannot get anyone to answer. I am put on hold saying I will be helped by next available person and stay on hold but eventually I am cut off. Frustrating. This dishwasher cost way more than others but we were willing to do it thinking it would be the last one we buy. After hardly using it we are told repair will be between $400 and $500. It is not acceptable. Hopefully eventually someone at Bosch will answer and take care of us but cannot continue calling week after week. It is already going on 3 weeks without the dishwasher we only use a few months anyway.

I love this dishwasher, it is amazing. Since I have owned my home the last 30 years we have had 4 dishwashers and this one is the best because it cleans the dishes and glasses great. No spots on the glasses, all our other dishwashers always ended up leaking and then we had to replace our wooden floor because of that but this Bosch it great, I would recommend it to anyone.

My wife and I bought a new home in January. It came with Bosch appliances. Within a few weeks the dishwasher started leaking a lot of water. I called Bosch and they sent a repairman out to check it. The repairman decided that it couldnt be fixed and would require a new dishwasher. He called Bosch and they said they needed proof of home purchase, which we gave them. Although my wife filled out all of the warranty information when we bought the house. The information that we sent to Bosch showed our names, address, closing date and the information on the house. We didnt include any information that had social security #s or financial information. Bosch continues to ask for the full 40 pages of my closing information and we refuse. Again, financial information, social security #s etc. are really none of their business. We have talked to them and asked them to tell us what else we can send them specifically and they cant tell us however, my dishwasher continues to leak on my floor and new cabinets and Bosch continues to say that they need 48 hrs. to run this by their bosses. The bottom line is that this is a 5-month old appliance that is bad and Bosch continues to play games to avoid honoring their own warranty. Why did we fill out the warranty cards in the first place if they cant use them. I will never recommend Bosch appliances to anyone. Not because we have a problem with their product. Anything can happen. But their desire to avoid repairing or replacing their defective product shows me that they have no desire to do the right thing.

We purchased a brand new custom made Thermador fridge and the fan broke down 6 months after. We called the technical support for an appointment, but they had to cancel two times because apparently the technician was in an accident. After numerous calls another appointment has been offered but no technician showed up. At this point no manager called us back to remediate the situation. The fan is still broken and we can’t reach anyone. Do not buy Thermador.

Upon repairing my dishwasher, the repairman punctured/broke a different part than the one he was repairing. The company made no effort whatsoever to repair the damage in a timely manner and did not return for 2 weeks to fix the part he broke. I called the company throughout the process and no support was given. I was shocked by this poor performance. I had heard they are a good company; however I will never purchase anything from Bosch again.

Was remodeling my kitchen and wanted to date my appliances. Did research and came up with Bosch as a number one brand. It is not. You know the commercial, if you have to rinse the dishes what does a dishwasher do? Well, that’s this dishwasher. It takes just over 2 hours to do a normal cycle and still I’m rewashing by hand. I thought it maybe the detergent I use so switched, nope. I wish I stayed with my OLD Maytag! I gave it 2 stars because it is very quiet. I wish I could change it, but not willing to be out $900 bucks.

Paid $1100 for Bosch Dishwasher Silence 49 - it is terrible. Within one year it wasnt cleaning properly, and I clean the filter regularly. So I took to not only rinsing the dishes, but wiping them too! Now at 2 years it runs through cycles over and over again. Stops at random through the cycle and when you open it and press start again it sometimes starts at the beginning of the cycle. I do not recommend Bosch dishwashers at all. I had better results from the cheap one I took out.
