[01/02, 10:17] Neha: Highly disappointed with Bosch Product not worth other brands seems far better in India. I Bought my Bosch Refrigerator KGN56LB412/05 just 2.5 months ago in Nov 2019 and guess what the refrigerator has stopped working and the service guys are saying the modular needs to be changed. How can I accept this.. Bosch swear by the technology of its machines. What sort of Machine is this which got faulty just in 2.5 months and you people are not even replacing the machine rather just replacing a part. Never ever buy Bosch product. They are non reliable in India. The installation guy took 2 weeks to install that too post escalations. Now the fridge is faulty and for the replacement part also they dont have parts available and need time. Worst service no body picks call. What sort example Bosch is giving. If your product is faulty and and gets highlighted have the courage to call it back and dont keep playing with customer. Bosh team, have given standard answer that team will contact you but what my Refrigerator is not working from past 4 days. Its a brand new 2.5 months old Refrigerator which has collapsed completely and stopped cooling or functioning. Nobody called me. I had to call up customer care constantly just to reach service Managers who have no courtesy to respond to customers calls when there is some fault in their product. After lots of time spending on their customer care I got a call for 5 mins which was not satisfactory at all. The Manager is talking about company protocol and convincing me for repair with such a Major fault. I feel so #cheated# buying this #Bosch#Refrigerator#. The #Bosh Refrigerator# is around 70k and collapsed just in 2.5 month. The machine has stopped cooling completely and its of no use still your guys are refusing to replace it.It has been a total #nightmare# ever since I purchased this #Bosch Refrigerator#. I purchased this machine from Vijay sales Chandanagar branch and initially they sent unpacked used machine with black Marks all over dirty plug which was used from ages. I complained then they accepted and returned and told Bosch has sent this used piece they are not aware. Again they sent a broken wheel screw Refrigerator which and this was the third piece after lot of struggle we received. I took so much pain just to buy this brand #BOSCH# and to add more to my struggle this Refrigerator has collapsed and stopped cooling in just 2.5 months which was never expected from the brand I used to trust so much. Now #Bosch company# is not even replacing their faulty product and giving so many lame excuses. Trying to push faulty Bosch Refrigerator. Please stop cheating customers Bosch India. How do you expect me to settle on repairing when there is a major Machine problem in bosch Refrigerator. It has stopped cooling in just 2.5 months. Please dont push the faulty machine over to a customer rather replace your faulty Bosch Refrigerator responsibly. I am literally harassed buying Bosch product this time. This is not my first product from bosch. I have convinced my family and revamped their machine to bosch. This is what I get to show brand loyalty towards Bosch. Very, very disappointing. I have a 1.5 yrs old kid and I am without Refrigerator even after buying a premium brand on high price without any fault. It a harassing journey ever since I bought this Refrigerator.

We bought a Bosch premium dishwasher in 1998, and it gets very light use. In 2004, the dishwasher wouldnt work properly. We were required to replace the computer control module, at a cost of $320.73 (not covered by warranty). This past summer, the dishwasher again malfunctioned. Again, it was the computer control module, which was replaced at a cost of $459.00. I spoke to a consumer representative at Bosch, who said that the time involved was beyond the expected life of computer parts. In other words, a premium Bosch product should be expected to have its main component die twice over a seventeen year period of very light use, with repair costs roughly equal to the units initial purchase price. Some premium product! Some company!

I completed a kitchen renovation and purchased a Bosch refrigerator. When it was unwrapped, the right door was severely damaged. Bosch suggested a new door rather than a new refrigerator and I agreed. We are now 2 months later and I’m told the production of the door is not until 9/18/21 and they have no idea when they will replace the door. Lewis was very irritated when I tried to get a definitive answer as to the install date. These are not cheap appliances and I guess I expected better customer service. Doubt that I will be a future Bosch customer based in this experience.

I have a bunch of these in a commercial strip mall I own. They work very well for bathroom sinks and are easy to mount and set up. I have had one failure with this brand and that was after 8 yrs of use. This wouldnt supply a shower but is great for light use and you dont have to find space for a tank or worry about it always heating water and wasting electricity. These units only energize when the hot water is being used.

We decided to upgrade and buy a new BOSCH dishwasher that would be quieter (39dB). Since the beginning we had many issues, doors broke, would not drain, E24 error all the time. Now that is out of the warranty - we had changed the pump, front panel and still does not work. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY a Bosch dishwasher.

I have had a Bosch dishwasher for a number of years and I have never been satisfied with it. First, it does not clean dishes, glassware and silver ware and second, it does not dry anything, including the inside of washer. I have followed all directions and use jet dry. I clean it periodically with vinegar. It is quiet! I will not buy another. I have a cheap contractor’s machine in my summer house and love it. It was cheap!

This dishwasher does a very good job at getting all of my dishes clean. Even those that have dried food stuck to them. It does everything I need it to do. Although, this dishwasher does not have heated dry option. I am fine with this, as the heat from the wash gets most everything dry. It has basic regular, light, heavy duty settings. Thats all I need! It is a traditional/regular size dishwasher. The interior holds everything I need to wash, although the set up of the tines have taken a bit getting used to. I feel if they were orientated differently I might be able to load easier. Its a nice stainless steel washer! When researching this dishwasher, only negative thing I could find was issues with the door latch. Knowing this, I exercise extra caution in opening and closing. It does open stiffly.

Bosch Dishwasher SHE3AR52UC/21 a $500 dishwasher from Lowes. From the many reviews of Bosch after I spent Saturday installing this dishwasher to a T. Being a certified aircraft mechanic it wasnt too hard, all leveled and hard wired up. Lo and behold the door wont stay shut and the top latch is sprung in the down and locked position. Called and did the whole thing to get Bosch to fix it but it will be two weeks before I can get a tech and even then he wants to look at it first before they order a part. I ordered the $8.00 latch myself so we will see in two days if thats the fix. By ALL of the latch comments on here Im really surprised Bosch hasnt recall this cheap plastic latch.

The Bosch dishwasher seemed like a good idea. Its a reputable company, right? Furthermore, it fit my dishes and glasses. However, it never dries things. It is always dripping with moisture when I open it in the morning. The continually wet dishwasher has already ruined some of my good knives and stainless silverware. The store where I bought it came out and checked it. They claim its operating as intended. The company, when I called, informed me that you MUST remove the dishes the minute the cycles finish. That means that I have to babysit the dishwasher and it has ceased to be a convenience.

I have been dealing with a non-working tankless water heater for about a week, and Bosch customer service keeps telling me from pictures I sent that the install is incorrect. I have had many technicians come into my home and verify the setup and that Bosch, a reputable company, should accommodate us. Its been under 5 years since we have used these units and with not having hot water for almost a week and the countless phone calls to Bosch and emails with pictures, I am resorting to going to the Better Business Bureau. We had the town of Clifton verify everything before they issued us a Certificate of Occupancy. This CO would not be issued if a potential threat was posed due to incorrect installation. We also called Clifton City Hall, who said install was done according to city code. Of two, only one tankless water heater works. I will mention all over social media how Bosch treated this situation and my overall experience. We had to pay multiple amounts to the plumbers who visited our home, who ended up telling us this is something Bosch should be handling for us. Where is Bosch when this customer needs them to help? The 15 year warranty is mighty easy to void isnt it. Also, if Bosch is so confident that the install is incorrect, why doesnt Bosch come here and take a look themselves? Id appreciate a response as this is getting extremely frustrating.

I purchased a Bosch washer, Model WFMC22OAUC in Feb. 2008 along with the dryer and petal stools. I did my homework and found this brand to be the most recommended by pretty much everyone, retailers and repairmen. The washer has now been repaired three times. The mold sticks to high heaven and, being farmers, I can honestly say one gallon of water doesnt bring out **. My whites are now gray. I was told I could wash three loads at once. I should have been told to wash one piece of clothing per load. I doubt that that one piece would be cleaned.

If negative stars were possible they have sincerely earned it. We spent nearly 11,000 dollars in appliances and the combination wall oven microwave has never worked correctly. Bosch has tried and failed to fix the appliance three times. I have spent over 12 hours on the phone with Bosch, most of it on hold, trying to rectify this situation. I have asked for assistance to get the appliances replaced to no avail. On 1/3/18 they came and fixed the appliance for the third time. This fix was to replace the touch panel because the second trip to the house the technician replaced it with the wrong touch panel. When that technician was questioned about it he said, “That’s the right one for your oven” instead of holding the two next to each other to determine that it was in fact the wrong one. Then a different technician came to replace that touch panel with the correct one. That one, on the first use came up with fault codes saying that the electrical was too hot. Ten minutes later another code came on that says communication error now the oven won’t come on at all. I called to request that the appliances be taken out of my house and explained to them my concerns of faulty wiring. I also told them of my concerns of fire hazard and having my newly built home burned down. The representative told me that it needed to go to management and that I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. I was not contacted and after 72 hours I called them back to find out the first representative didn’t even send my file to management. I explained the situation and was told that it would have to go to management. I then asked to be transferred to management because I had no faith that I would be contacted. I was finally transferred to an “escalation manager” who was unable to help me and she transferred me to the “escalation supervisor” named Shawn. Shawn then explained to me that they would never refund my money for the appliances and that I was stuck them, but they might be able to replace the oven. I had already been told by two representatives that refunding the appliances was a possibility only to be told by this extremely unprofessional representative named Shawn that was not an option. He then told me it would have to go to management and I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. I cannot stress enough my displeasure with everything about Bosch most of all by their customer service. They are absolutely one hundred percent unprofessional hacks that will never get my business again. I will never buy anything with a Bosch affiliation again. Horrible company, horrible employees, and horrible products. Save yourself from this overpriced trash.

Super please with this purchase. Been using it 6 months now, supplies our bathroom shower and kitchen sink. We take a shower with it no problem, however if my wife turns on kitchen sink hot water, temp drops substantially in the shower. This small units can really only handle one demand at a time... which is fine for us. We live simple, 600 sqft house. Here's the only tricky thing about it, and it's just a limitation of the size of the unit: the bath-tub water flow is too much to heat the water sufficiently, so I had to manually close my hot water valve to the bathtub about half way. This slows the flow of the water through the water heating unit and allows it to get hot enough to be good for bath temperature. So the bath tub takes a while to fill. Not a big deal for us. I did a lot of reading on different units and this one seemed to have the best reviews. Even if this unit died in a couple years, I would buy it again and re-install a new one.

I purchased a Bosch cook top, oven and microwave a couple of years back. Had nothing but trouble. The first year had 3 calls on the oven. Now since January Ive had 3 calls on the microwave. Ive been without a microwave for 1 month now. Those who have a microwave will understand how inconvenient this is. Ive never had a problem with appliances in the past. The latest update: theyre waiting for parts to arrive from Germany. Buy LG, GE, Sears, whatever, that has a stock of parts in this country. You wont be sorry you did. Bosch is a piece of crap! It does not clean dishes as well as other, cheaper DWs weve had. Doesnt have any features I find useful. It holds less stuff than any others Ive had. It is modern and nondescript looking. It is very quiet - you can hardly tell its running. That is the only thing I like about it. It doesnt clean well, but has a very long cycle, well over two hours. It doesnt hold enough dishes, so has to be run daily. The worst part about this brand is the customer service. It is the worst service I have ever experienced in my life, and I am 65 years old. I have spoken to several of their service people, and all have been unbelievably awful. One of them was so abusive she had me in tears, and I do not cry easily! I loved my Bosch dishwasher (Silence Plus 48 dBA Dishwasher) when I first got it. It was so quiet and did a great job. Two years in and just out of warranty, it needed a $300.00 repair because water was leaking out the bottom. Now, two years after that, it wont stop draining, even with the door open. A repairman confirmed what I thought, water was leaking into the subtray so the float wouldnt drop to allow the machine to function. My father purchased a Bosch tankless water heater about 18 months ago. He had a professional plumber install the tank to the specifications that the factory mandates. The unit never did work properly. After hours on the phone with tech support listening to every reason in the book why it wasn't "their" fault , and hundreds if not thousands of dollars spent on a plumber they still will not honor their warranty and replace the unit. The problem with the unit is that whenever you turn on the cold water to make the water warm instead of scalding, the heater shuts off completely leaving you with ice cold water. The factory techs tell us that there is not enough water coming into the unit. Ok easy fix right "just tell us how much water is required". O wait the "tech" isn't allowed to suggest anything like that. My father is so frustrated he wants to take the unit outside and shoot it with a rifle. If there is a class action we want in!!!!!! I purchased a Bosch gas stove and dishwasher 18 months ago as part of a home remodeling project. Within weeks of installation the symbols on the stove knobs indicating what burner they corresponded to had virtually worn away. I had the plate replaced and within a few months they had worn away again. I have used no cleaning product on the stove other than stainless steel cleaner - now I just live with the fact that people have to figure out what burner theyre turning on by trial and error. Within months the electrical components of the oven also began to malfunction. The oven would preheat but if it were left on for a while (while cooking Thanksgiving dinner, for instance - yes, that happened) the oven would spontaneously go dead - the digital display as well as the heating element. Switching off the circuit breaker and turning it back on again did nothing. I had the circuit board replaced (it was still under warranty) and a few weeks later the same thing happened (again, during a party when I was doing a lot of cooking). Long story short, it took 6 months and several service calls to resolve the problem. Now the oven works but the clock loses hours almost daily - I have to constantly re-set it. (Again, I just live with this - apparently having a stove clock that works is too much to ask.) The dishwasher has been just as bad. A wine glass apparently broke during a washing cycle and a 1 shard of glass got through the filter and into the pump. (Like this has never happened before in anyones kitchen? The filter system underneath the dish rack should be designed to prevent hard objects like a piece of glass from getting into the pump.) The dishwasher is 18 months old. I just spent $250 dollars for a new pump. I will never, ever buy a Bosch appliance again. I had a Frigidaire dishwasher in my old house and never had a service call in 10 years. For supposedly higher-end appliances, Boschs engineering and attention to detail is absolutely pathetic. I would give them a 0 for reliability. The local appliance outlet I bought these from has been extremely prompt about coming to my home for service calls, and very apologetic about my complaints. I dont blame them - I place the blame entirely on the poor quality of the appliances themselves.

12 year old double oven needed electronics replaced 6 or 7 years ago. Now two different companies have sent technicians out six or seven times and no one can repair it. Pretty much all electronic boards and touch pads replaced multiple times to no avail. lt resets itself spontaneously for date & time randomly for no reason we can figure out. What seems to be happening is the following: if we are in a cooking mode, such as sabbath mode, and the date and time resets while the oven is on, it becomes impossible to turn the oven off. When the reset screen is on pushing the off button does not change the display, and appears to do nothing. When the date and time has been reset even though the Sabbath mode is still on, the screen does not show it. Pushing the off button also does not change the display and nothing happens. It seems that we need to reset the date and time first and then turn the same sabbath mode on again and once it is on again then it will shut off.The odds of this happening during sabbath mode operation is the greatest as that mode is on for 24 hours at a minimum at a time. Although I suppose the clock could reset itself during any cooking mode. This is potentially dangerous as the oven may inadvertently be left on, and I cannot actually determine that it remains at exactly the same temperature and mode it was in before the reset happened. In fact, earlier the oven we just continue to get hotter and hotter heating up the wall around it until we turned off the main circuit breaker. We paid almost $1,000 for service. What do we do now?

Because of good reviews we purchased our first Bosch. We were told how durable and outstanding they were. A one year warranty was given with the purchase. After 3 months we had problems with the control panel. Then the pump malfunctioned and a new pump was installed. Within this year we have had more water in the bottom and not pumping out. Called Bosch and they had their certified tech....hmmmm who made three appointments and never showed up. Then when he came it was for a whole five minutes to say we needed a new pump. Three weeks later he came and installed a new pump and was there a few minutes, never checking the complete cycle. It still doesnt drain out, so we called our own tech and he informs us that it is now a complete computer board. Oh we also have had to have our racks replaced as they rusted. Then the new racks dont match and dont have a track to stop the dishes from rolling out. We are through and have made a whole family pledge, never again a Bosch… dump Bosch from our lives and buy American who treats their customers with respect.

My BOSCH DISHWASHER is a lemon. The customer service department is incompetent and their repairman broke the bracket on our handle and said to call and get a new bracket to fix it and left. When we called to get replacement piece we were told we wouldve to pay to fix it because they had no record of it being broken by their repairman. We mailed them our proof with a letter and they offered to pay for the bracket but not the repairman! We purchased a high end Bosch Dishwasher for our new home. Since then we have made over 6 complaints to their inept customer service department. There was also was a recall on this unit after we paid to replace the cord that was defective. On each call they create a new claim number and they act ignorant to the prior complaints. They are masters at avoidance and running the warranty on their appliances. When you do get them to agree to send a repair crew they send incompetent repair personnel. As to the dishwasher it doesnt clean the dishes. The glasses are always spotted and its not the water. If you want your plates clean you must rinse and wipe them before they go into the DW. The utensils have to be washed again after they come out as they have food particles on them. We have a family of 7 and the DW is run all the time. We did not have ours for a month when we called for the first service as it would not drain and the dishes were dirty. This continued to happen and they would always walk you through a series of fixes before they agree to send out the repairman. Their defect product caused a recall on the part that was causing this issue but they did not tell us until we complained after the second service call. During the 3rd or fourth service call the repairman snapped the bracket on the door handle. He said we would need to call and order the part and could not fix it after he broke it. Since then we have made complaints and sent letters to BOSCH about the bracket and the failure of the DW to clean the dishes, glasses and utensils. Their customer service department puts you thru the ringer. After requesting supervisors and no calls back when promised several times it escalated up the ladder only to be told that they would pay for the new bracket - but we had to pay for the repairman time!!! THEY BROKE IT!!! It is unbelievable to me the amount of wasted time (and money) that has been spent. They do not stand by their product... they are awful. BTW, we have owned many Bosch DWs and always recommended them - this is the first time with an issues, and its been awful!!! I will never buy Bosch again due to this!

I called on 11/6 in the morning and was told the exchange had been approved and I would have to wait 5-7 business days for that to be arranged. In the afternoon on 11/6 a customer service rep called me and advised me the exchange was approved and I would have to wait 7-10 business days.On 11/14/18 I called because I had not heard from them and was told that the approval had not been sent to the exchange department and was assured it was sent through that day. Now they tell me I will have to wait another 7-14 days to find out what model the exchange is approved for and when that may take place. Customer service reps are rude and do not provide their name. This was a $884 custom front unit and they are not even telling me I can get the same unit. The customer service at Bosch is terrible!!

I purchased a Bosch Eco action washer and dryer. Do not make the same mistake. Clothes never come out clean - spots do not come out and other washers have cleaned much better! If you run too many loads in the washer, it gives you an error message. When you call Bosch, they tell you that you need to call a repairman and charge you $100. The dryer never shuts off - it has this de-wrinkle feature that the dry clothes continue to spin even after they are dry - an annoying and wasteful feature. You cannot put a load of clothes in the dryer and then leave because it continues to spin wasting electricity! Dont waste your money on any Bosch appliances!

The worst dishwasher ever made. My father went through Consumer Reports for the best model of dishwasher to get — the Bosch one was in the top 5. This dishwasher was made for international living not for the American ways of life - busy schedules and raising a family. This dishwasher as with all Bosch dishwashers have a smell that rivals rotting meat. You can’t get rid of the odor it comes back time and time again. It also is extremely difficult to navigate. Dishwashers are to be user friendly. Not hard to figure out. I am not alone in this review. Many others feel the same way.

In 2012 we renovated our kitchen, and laundry with 9 appliance that included built in coffeemaker and range hood. The appliance are poorly made and the parts are expensive. The first to go was dryer, that repeatedly gave lint error message and would not switch on. The next was built in microwave oven at 4 years. Then the washing machine has to be replaced at 5 years. In the 7th year it is the built in double oven, after minor troubles over 2 years finally failed completely. The company is not helpful. We can not talk to their technical support since they only talk to their own select group of technicians. The spare parts are ridiculously expensive. These appliances are unreliable. Please stay away from these appliances.

Bosch refrigerator problems. Bosch 800 Series B26FT70SNS /04 25.9 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator has issues and failures. The first issue is the crushed ice maker. It does not crush all the ice as my old GE unit did (or any other brand I have ever used). The Bosch unit only breaks some ice cubes in half, others it only will chip a corner off and only a few seem to come out mostly crushed. The lack of ice crushing has been confirmed by Bosch as normal for this unit. If you like fully crushed ice and not almost complete ice cubes mixed in with it, I would not recommend this refrigerator. The next two problems are more serious. Firstly, after swapping out the ice maker with a new unit to try to solve what we now know to be an unsolvable problem, the new ice maker unit has failed completely; it no longer makes ice and of course it is now out of warranty. I wrote an e-mail to the Bosch representatives who helped me the first time with this problem however they did not respond to my e-mail. The second failure is much more critical. The refrigerator intermittently stops working! Occasionally, the Bosch Series B26FT70SNS stops getting cold! Thats all the darn thing needs to do and it fails doing it! Ill come home to a puddle of water on the floor, the food in the freezer is thawed out and the refrigerator is warm! After cycling the power by turning off the circuit breaker sometimes it will start working, and sometimes it starts again by itself. I lost food and had to clean up a mess.I wrote another e-mail to the Bosch representatives about the ice maker and cooling failure, but again they did not respond to either of my e-mails. Because the Bosch representatives have been unresponsive on these last two problems it tells me that they do not want to get involved with defective products or product problems.Because I went with all BOSCH products in my new kitchen (Double oven, cooktop, range hood, dishwasher, warming draw, refrigerator) I am now terrified as to which product may fail next and the difficulty in communicating with factory representatives. I regret my decision of selecting all BOSCH appliances. As of this posting I have not heard back from Bosh.Based on my experience with multiple failures of my Bosch 800 Series B26FT70SNS /04 25.9 cu. ft. French Door refrigerator I cannot recommend purchasing this unit.

We purchased a Bosch Powerstar tankless water heater with a 10-year warrant
We purchased a Bosch Powerstar tankless water heater with a 10-year warranty in October of 2008 from Home Depot. At the time, the price on the water heater was $800. In September of 2012, it stopped working so I called Bosch. The first rep told me I needed a licensed person to come out and look at it before I could claim warranty on the unit. This was on September 28th. Okay, not a problem, right? Wrong! First off, they do not have technicians to send to look at their products so I had to call a plumber and I couldnt find one that could come that day. On October 2nd, the plumber shows up and after extensive arguing between Bosch and the plumber because he was told to disassemble the unit, take photographs of the inside, and send them to the Bosch tech. But first, they would have to send us the new O-rings before the unit could be disassembled, so $80 to the plumber and he left. The O-rings finally arrived on October 10th so another call to the plumber. He came out on the 12th. After 4 hours of this crap and $320, they decided to warranty the unit and said they would ship out a new one. Well, today is October 22nd and I still do not have my new water heater! I called Bosch this morning and they didnt send it out until the 18th. So now, after 25 days of no hot water, I have decided I will never buy another Bosch product in my lifetime and I hope you wont either! Very bad customer service.

SHX46A05UC/14 Dishwasher, 2004, paid $ 1,600.00 Stopped draining water, developed endless cycle, finally started to fill up with the water overflowing to my newly renovated kitchen. The quality of the cleaning was degrading slowly, leaving residues on glass and dishes.Bosch certified service showed up for just over $ 75/h, looking and playing with the washer for 2 hours; diagnosed, well nothing, they check in fact the water drainage path and remover a rubber part from the pump section, saying that I dont need that, and that this was perhaps the cause of the problem. After over $150 for service call, (no parts replaced = no 30 days warranty for the service) !!!... The next day, well, we have exact this same issue, cycle takes hours, no full water drainage. Service call, week later, different technicians, diagnosed for new control unit and quote for over $350. (for $500 I can get new dishwasher today, but my old $1600 unit should work for years - or not). Called Bosch, same response as for all of the people below. They couldnt care less. The Customer service from the service company concluded that I would be better off buying a new unit ! Great, that much about my love for Bosch, and we have the whole kitchen furnished with that junk. After short internet research, I found people helping step by step with similar issues, so I did take apart my unit, opened the controller, and found that it has overheated and damaged connection. No, is not that one under the recall, the recall one must cause house fire I guess! Cleaning the connection and re-soldering it helped, partially, it works now as it use to, but still fills with fresh water after is done, so I have to cut the water intake. Conclusion: I would spend $350 for a new part or service and still have another issue!!! Now, I need to take the intake valve apart to see if this is the real problem. Slowly, I am getting a master degree on Bosch dishwashers, and I promise to never buy one again.

I bought a Bosch washer & dryer set several years ago. I was frustrated because if I didnt want the pressed wood (cardboard) exterior so I had to pay more for the plastic model. I had the dryer for about a year and I notice what I thought was the dryer not drying the clothes and turning itself off. But when I turned the dial the light would come on. What is happening is the dial connection is loose or bad. If I push down on the dial the dryer sometimes works. I have resorted to putting a full bottle of detergent balanced on the dial so it will hopefully stay on long enough to dry anything. It rarely does. Drying clothes in my Bosch Nexxt Premium Dryer is a nightmare and can take HOURS for even one small load. (It all depends how often I am willing to run back downstairs to restart/reset the dial.) What a disappointment. Dryers are such simple things how can they mess it up? But they did. This has been going on for years! Not sure which is stupider. Me buying the Bosch in the first place or me putting up with it this long. My experience with Bosch is they are overpriced and poorly made. Who designs anything made out of pressed wood sandings or plastic for a laundry area? They do know there is water in a laundry room? It should have been a sign.

I bought an entire Bosch kitchen last summer. I was cleaning last month and noticed rust and pitting on the door of the fridge. I called Bosch and they asked me to send in pictures to file a claim, so I did my best to show the pitting in the pictures but the surface glare made it difficult. About 2 weeks after I sent in my official claim email I get a response (the initial receipt of the email said I would hear back within 5 business days).Bosch informs me that rust is a surface cosmetic issue and not covered under the warranty so I call to ask if they saw that there were holes in the stainless door. They said it all looked like surface rust and could be cleaned off. But they were willing to give me 25% off if I want to replace the door. I spent about 10 minutes talking before asking for a supervisor. Talking with the supervisor I was able to get them to send a technician to diagnose if there are actually holes. May 17th: technician confirms that there is uncleanable pitting in the stainless steel door.Today: May 31st (2weeks since diagnosis) I get a call that they will pay for the parts of the door as a goodwill gesture but not for the labor of the replacement. So they admit that their product is bad but wont actually pay to replace it, instead trying to frame it as they are doing me a favor. Absolutely horrendous service, to admit that the door is flawed and provide a new door but make me pay for the labor to replace it (~200$). This has officially been the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced. The representatives were defensive and unwilling to take responsibility for their faulty product. I will never again buy a Bosch appliance and Ill also be sure that no one else does if I can help it.

So here is the review after one month of Bosch Refrigerator usage. 1. Received a faulty Refrigerator. The technician who visited for the demo did not know anything about the product apart from where to store the vegetables as if we have never had a refrigerator before. Since my LED was not working and when asked the technician his answer was This fridge has no LED or any lights. Anyways called Bosch called me for the confirmation of Demo where instead complained, they sent a technician to fix it and I observed that this guy did not even know to to open the LED panel. After experimenting he was able to open but he had got some other lights which were not compatible to this fridge, 3 weeks later again a technician visited who again experimented and failed to fix the LED and left with the Refrigerator complete useless as the cooling had also stopped. Now after all this after a month call to Bosch who promised what not, We will put this on Priority, Urgent, within 24hrs. Bla bla bla. Four days today and no technician has yet visited. Overall a poor brand in terms of service. Would not recommend. Have been using Samsung for years and no complaints and also the customer support is quick and reliable.

I opened this account specifically to complain about my Bosch dishwasher. Within a year, rust spots started to appear on the inside door and the Bosch repairman inspected them and said it was normal and they would not fix nor replace it. The dishwasher still worked so we let it go. Then 2 years later the coating on the bottom rack started to melt off revealing the metal underneath that started to rust. Since it had been 2 years, Bosch did not cover it and from there on the bottom rack started to have other areas of disintegration.A replacement for just the bottom rack is $250. Now today the machine stopped working. The water inlet may be clogged as no water comes in. We didnt realize it until we started smelling something burning. The smell came from the grinder that burned its gears since there was no water. As much as I would like to be swayed by the great reviews Bosch gets from professional reviewers, the endurance does not pan out and thats something professional reviewers dont think about.

SuperSilence 42 dBA (Model SHX7ER55UC/50) - We have had this dishwasher about 2-1/2 years, so it is beyond warranty for this problem. The dishwasher has performed well despite a recall to replace the power cord. Now, however, the plastic caps at the ends of the door handle are cracking and breaking off. Their authorized dealer/rep wants a $90 service charge to replace in $20 parts. They knew exactly what we were talking about, so I suspect this is a well known Bosch problem. Purchase Bosch Refrigerator B22CT80SNS. Did not work out of box. Repairman added coolant and worked for about 10 days. When refrigerator quit cooling repairman determined coolant leak inside of refrigerator and non-repairable and Bosch was to replace. When I called them in a week to see why I had not heard anything they said that they were no longer making that model and had no comparable model to give me so would in 4 to 6 weeks come out and pickup non-working new refrigerator and issue me a refund check. Of course by that time will have been without a working refrigerator for over 2 months. Also, I had a kitchen remodel done based on all new Bosch appliances, two of which had cosmetic damage in addition to non-working refrigerator upon delivery. So now even though Bosch cannot provide me with a refrigerator, I have other Bosch products that they will not take back so after a $50,000 plus kitchen renovation I will have mixed brands of appliances in my Kitchen with un-matching handles/hardware. I asked if Bosch would just take all of their appliance back and provide refund and I could start over with a brand that could provide a working refrigerator of course they refused. I purchased a Bosch Dishwasher (i.e. total cost $$857.98) which was installed in Dec 2017. About 3 weeks ago I was receiving error messages as well as the machine skipping cycles and stopped. Given that one of the error messages was E24 the Bosch authorized repairer wanted to order a pump for the machine to save me from minimizing the number of trips he would need to be made. May I add the service charge would have been $180, labor and parts extra given that the pump was outside of the warranty. After ordering the pump, I receive a message that the pump is in. But of course it was the wrong pump. I will not bore you with the details of the story but after a lengthy conversation, I told this company to NOT come at all and will find another Bosch authorized dealer. Well, I did, he promised to come, waited for him and he never showed up, did not call even though I left several voice mails, etc. Bosch kept saying we need a diagnosis but it sure is difficult if there own people do not show up as promised or have excuses about the wrong pump being ordered, etc.I provided all the detailed information that Bosch wanted. This evening I received an email from them telling me a decision had been. I doubt if this case was escalated to management as I requested. I called Bosch (25 minute wait) to find out what the decision would be given that they emailed me and said decisions cannot be provided by email or voicemail. The Bosch rep said they were going to do a big favor and as a 1-time courtesy provide the parts but I still would be responsible for the service call and labor. BTW, the issue in all likelihood is a control panel which has a 5-year warranty. Or in other words they did nothing except to ensure that I will never purchase a Bosch appliance again. If there would have been a pump issue the retail price is $30.05. Such an offer from Bosch. Bosch service providers are few and far between. And from my experience they are totally incompetent. Bosch sold me a lemon of a dishwasher and has failed to provide any type of concern for their customer.

Complaint sent in December 2016. After being on hold for 20 minutes spoke with a unconcerned/unkind Caleb ** head manager (or so I was told) of the appliance department. We have a Bosch dishwasher, where basically the upper and lower racks are disintegrating due to rust. The machine is still fairly new, and is run only with your recommended Finish products. The plastic coating on the racks appear to crack and scale off, exposing rusted/rotten metal underneath, something that does not appear to reflect the product quality one would expect from Bosch. It is frankly surprising as we thought we had purchased a quality German appliance like the many other Miele products we have in the house. The damage is on both upper and lower racks, so if I were to guess, I would attribute this to a poor/wrong coating on the steel racks. The damage is not caused by chips caused by loading/un-loading the machine. Boschs reply.. We will give you 20% off new racks as customer goodwill. When carefully ordering a product with a reputation for quality I would have expected them to have more concern when their appliances fail. Super disappointed and will not be buying or recommending another Bosch appliance in the future.

I bought my 800 series Bosch dishwasher a year and a half ago and while there were some bumps because I bought a used one from the Sears Discount Center the representatives were very prompt about repairing and then replacing my defective machine. Now that I have a functioning dishwasher it is not only my very favorite appliance of my house, it is one of my most beloved possessions. There are 10 people in my family and we are able to stack in a huge amount of dishes because the spacing of the racks are so well designed and the additional 3rd rack is able to accommodate all of the silverware. I have never had such clean dishes with so little pre-cleansing before I put the dishes in. There are times that still needs servicing due to the hard water in Arizona but once it is cleaned I am once again left with immaculately clean dishes every time, including my Bosch mixer which I can put in encrusted with dried bread dough and pots and pans. I am very disappointed to hear all of these awful reviews when truly it is the best appliance I have ever owned. All of my friends who have Bosch dishwashers feel the same way I do. There is no reason to buy any other brand. Do not let these bad experiences scare you away from a truly miraculous piece of equipment.

My husband and I had to replace our Dishwasher 3 times due to the lock not staying locked. We are now looking at Dishwasher # 4. I am not happy. It is time to do recall on this model. The Bosch dishwasher doesnt dry plastic items. So the moisture in the dark dishwasher leads to bacteria growing - especially if you leave food on the dishes (after scraping). It can lead to a wet dog slobber taste on glasses. You need to wear a hazmat suit to clean this dishwasher. The bins for cutlery and the plastic and metal filter are made of a rough texture which collects food particles. It is nutty to have to wash plastic items by hand, clean the rubber around the door, and scrub the interior parts of the machine. I could wash the dishes by hand and do a better job and faster.

We purchased a Bosch oven two years ago. It now does not work. We live 110 miles from the nearest authorized repair. Our local appliance repair person has charged us $200.00 to fix our unit by replacing items until the unit works. Now he does not call us. I talked with Bosch customer service and they advised me that I need to provide them with the receipts of when I purchased the oven. So I would need to go through my 2013 records to find the receipt, then they would pay for an appliance repair person to come out. I have already spent 4 hours dealing with this problem. All I can say is I thought I was buying a quality unit that would take my wife and I into our retirement years. My mistake. Bosch is a highly overrated product. I will never buy another Bosch unit.

Great unit, top is gas, oven is electric, the oven is a convection oven, with many other choices to use, it is the best unit we have ever owned, it bakes, broils, control panel is easy to use and it maintains temp accurately, it also came with a baking and convection guide. I would recommend this unit to anyone.

Installed 12/5/2018. Unlike my friends Bosch DW, this one had a top drawer that was diabolically designed to prevent efficient loading with flatware. We called William who told us there was another drawer, and gave us a part # and price, but no free exchange. The next day we called back and ordered this “other drawer”. It arrived Friday 12/28/18. It was the exact same drawer we did not like. We called 12/31/18, and were on hold/ignore for 25 minutes, after which the CSA told us to call back on 1/2/2019. We called back and spoke with Kay **, Customer Support Representative (US/MA-CSCN9), who said there was no “other drawer” and could I get a part number from my friend? Within two days, I did get my friend’s part number, but found out from https://www.bosch-home.com/us/store/accessories/dishwashing/accessories/baskets-and-holders/... That that part is not compatible with my new dishwasher.Since there was apparently nothing BOSCH could or would do for me, I called to return the redundant part today 1/8/19. “Monica” gave me all sorts of flak about how all of this was MY fault, and that they would make no exceptions, and I could return it at my expense, and pay a 25% restocking fee on the wrong part, and even that I would have to wait 48 hours to get a return label sent to my e-mail account. Needless to say, while some lucky people have had good luck with their machines, and some may even have gotten good customer service, I was treated like trash. I now humbly vow I will NEVER willingly buy a BOSCH anything ever again.

It cleans OK but lacks a good drying feature. I had a lower model previously and it worked much better than this higher end one. Silverware is still dirty at times, pans and glasses still wet. I love the light at the bottom showing its on because it is so quiet. It has a 3rd shelf, a variety of ways to arrange dishes by either leaving the tines up or down. It seems to be smaller than the older models. Very sleek, hidden controls. The light at the bottom showing it is on almost bleeds across the floor. The lower end model I had before didnt do this, just a red dot. Ive had this one exchanged and it still bleeds all over the floor. Just not up to snuff, like the older, less expensive model was.

After 16 months the drain pump has stopped working and shown e24 on the panel. Did our research online, clean the filter, reset... no success. Called customer services and the respond I got, the warranty has expired after a year so you have to pay for the labour $129 cost and parts will be extra. Why should I pay, My last dishwasher lasted for 15 years (still working but not very energy efficient). So I have to wait for 48 hours for management approval. Well it has been more than 3 days, no respond. After a few phone calls, Bosch finally responded and agreed to pay only for the parts. Lesson learnt, Bosch never purchased again.

Unfortunately I am one of those that got no help from Bosch. They said there is nothing they can do and that I would have to pay $99 for them to send someone out. And that only covers the first 18 minutes of diagnostics. From there it was $120/hr. This microwave is part of an oven combo unit that cost over $2200 so it is not as simple as just replacing the microwave either. Thought I was getting a high end product but I guess not. Beware of Bosch less you find yourself hoping you win the customer service lottery of whether they choose to help you or not. BTW, this unit is only 26 months old.

We got our Bosch dishwasher 2 weeks ago. It was very labor intensive to set up. Too many bells and whistles. Also we did have a problem with water accumulation. We were told to use the extra shine button. This works. However we have to make sure we are here when the dishwasher is done so we can open it right away to let out the steam. So we have to take the extra step of setting the timer. Also it takes a very long time- 2 1/2 hours for the cycle to get done with the auto button and the extra shine button. Also the amount of dishes you can put in seems small. The plus here is that the dishwasher is very quiet. We got the Bosch hoping for an energy efficient machine. We do have to rinse the dishes first so that also takes up extra water. Perhaps this is a good model if you are a caterer, but cumbersome for general household use. My old broken down dishwasher did a better job of cleaning and drying in half the time. Its actually easier for me to wash my dishes by hand unless we have company.

We purchased a Bosch washer and dryer a couple of years ago and a door seal went bad on the dryer. Clearly this shouldnt have gone bad after two years, especially after paying top dollar for what was sold as a premium unit. The part was only $10, but Bosch said a service tech had to install it, costing $75-$100. The part was a simple slide, in part, a 10-year-old kid could install, less complicated than lacing a shoe, but Bosch decided not to use common sense in this case and said thats all they could do. Like the old saying, penny wise, pound foolish.” Probably the worst customer service Ive ever dealt with. Never buy Bosch; they don’t stand by their products.

I remodeled my kitchen in July of 2011. I got a gas stovetop and the vent is the Bosch 10282541 downdraft system. This is approx. $1,200 and has never worked for more than a month at a time. Currently, its not working, and Bosch will not repair it. I contacted Bosch in October of 2011 and they gave me a name of a company to work with. They came out, assessed the problem and after 6 weeks of no contact, no update, no fix, I had to contact Bosch and get another name of a company to fix the problem. Again, after weeks of delay, they came out and fixed it.And after 2 months, the vent broke again. They were in the process of fixing this, and again, it was delayed due to a back problem with the repairman. They did a partial fix, but then needed more repairs - and Bosch said the time was out for the year of in-warranty repair. During the first year this was installed, it was not working more than it was working. On Thanksgiving and every major holiday, I was without a fan. I contacted Bosch several times, and they promised to have a supervisor call me back, but that never happened. I have resolved to not buy Bosch appliances ever again as my fix.

About a year ago, I moved into a new home and wanted a new refrigerator to match. There were other brands that had similar features that were considerably less expensive, but I assumed that the Bosch would be of a higher quality that would justify the additional expense. Recently some water spilled on the bottom shelf and some of it seeped through the crack and the front of the glass and settled on top of the stringer holding up the glass shelf between the crisper drawers. I tried to figure out how to pick up the glass so I could dry it off but couldn’t find a way. I assumed that it would evaporate and not be a problem but that didn’t happen. Instead, it collected dirt and mildew. I have again tried to come up with a way to pick up the glass so I could clean it, but gave up and called customer support.I asked the girl there if someone could give me instructions as to how to pick up the glass to resolve my problem. She asked my name and apparently checked the computer to find out that my one year warranty had recently expired. She told me that all she could do was send out a serviceman and that would cost me $129. I told her that I didn’t need a service call and just wanted someone to explain to me how to get under the glass. She again said that she would have to send out a serviceman for $129.I told her that it seemed that it was a poor design and appeared that they were intentionally trying to make money by sending out a serviceman. She said “yes”. This caught me by surprise so I asked,Are you saying that you intentionally designed it so you could make $129 by sending out a serviceman. Again, she said “yes”. I spent extra money to get the Bosch, thinking that it would be of better quality with better customer service. I won’t make that mistake again.

I purchased an Bosch 800 series dishwasher late 2018. This is my second Bosch dishwasher, I loved my first one. It was super quiet and cleaned beautifully. I cant say the same for this one. Last week it stopped working giving me an error message. I tried to troubleshoot myself. It makes a loud grinding noise, sounds like the drain pump. I called the 800 number, the call center tried troubleshoot to no avail. Scheduled service, the dishwasher is still under warranty.I requested the the latest appt in the day, to accommodate my work schedule and long story short the service department is very unaccommodating for customers that cant sit at home all day waiting to a tech. I was told they would send a list of other service vendors to who do Bosch warranty work in my community (Orlando, FL). After 2 requests for the list, still not received. My dishwasher is still not functional almost a week later. Extremely disappointed in the product and the lack of service for what is supposed to be a superior product.

And no grill. Whoops, what? You wanted HANDLES?? The display, as mentioned by another, does NOT illuminate despite what the directions say. Bosch washing machine. Plenty of washing programmes. Good value for money. Quick wash is excellent. I have had the machine over ten years and would buy the same make again. Energy efficiency, brand reputation and price. Dryer would be a different purchase. I would look around and see the best one on the market so do not dry as well as others. A product that does not start to rust within the first twelve months, and no paint chipping and find out cost of spares. Some makes are expensive to repair. Very pleased with Bosch washing machine. I always get a clean wash. The one thing that does annoy me is the powder tray. This gets so black and over the years I have found weak bleach solution will clean the tray (when removed), but even this fails to stop the holes above the dispenser, becoming blocked with the black slime (caused by washing powder and plastic). I have had the unit replaced twice. I would like all manufacturers to try and resolve this problem. Rather expensive over ten years, but so far no other problems.

I at first liked this washer then several problems. One, the moldy smell inside required the door to be left open to avoid a stench. I got used to that, though constantly had to wipe the gaskets out and clean the inside door and gaskets. Then a couple of years ago, 8 years after I bought it, the housing near the dials developed a small crack. I called customer service and received no satisfaction.I called again in August this year, obtained a file number for my complaint, but they wanted me to get a Bosch repair person and pay them to diagnose the problem, which was evident from the picture below, as a crack. This was not due to operator error or misuse. We are a retired couple, dont take in laundry (!) and it is kept on the first living floor of our heated and air conditioned house. I am surprised by the negative reviews here. I have owned this dryer for over a year and my experience has been very positive. Coming from a conventional, vented gas dryer, I expected long, slow drying times but did not get this at all. We changed from large, conventional washer and dryer to the European-sized models so we don't cram every possible piece of dirty clothes into one load. I typically run 4-5 smaller loads per week: dark, light, white, towels and jeans, and dress shirts. This dryer does a great job of drying all these clothes types, especially if you take advantage of the special settings. For me, the key is to remove clothes immediately at the end of the cycle. This is true of all dryers, IMO, but especially with this one. It *does* leave a small amount of residual moisture in the clothing, depending on setting. If you pull clothes out while they're warm, then fold or hang immediately, almost all the wrinkles disappear without ironing. If I have one complaint, it's that the dryer only rotates one direction. This means very large items (california king sheets, for instance) can get tangled and not dry evenly. There is one MAJOR advantage to this dryer. Living in a drought-prone area, I put the drain hose into a bucket and recover one to two gallons of water from each load that I use to irrigate my garden. Clean clothes, happy tomatoes. What's not to love?

Three years ago, I purchased a stackable washer and dryer for my condominium. Since I had limited space for these products, I chose Bosch. Now, the dryer stopped working so I call a repair service. $450.00 later, the unit still does not work. I called directly to Bosch to see what they could do about my problem. They sent a tech to review the problem and he diagnosed it as a failed control module. Bosch wanted me to pay for the service and the part which would have been another $300.00 or so. To total this cost so far ($750) if I replaced the part is not a good idea because I could get a new dryer for about $800.00. I feel that Bosch product is inferior and service is zero. As a small business owner, I think this is disgraceful. I stand behind my products and service and incur extra service costs when I have to. Even though it sometimes erases my profit on the job, I always take care of my customers. This is a big company and can well afford to take care of their customers in a proper manner.

I owned a Bosch dishwasher which worked well for 15 years before the timer broke. I did not hesitate to purchase a new Bosch based on my prior experience. If you are thinking of buying one (MODEL SHP65TL5UC) and do not want to throw lots of money out the window and be dissatisfied, I would advise you to seek a different brand. First of all, the dishes do not dry thoroughly and come out with a weird slightly damp feeling even when using a Rinse Aid and normal cycle plus sanitize feature. I have tried to use this beefed up normal cycle with the sanitize cycle even with very lightly soiled dishes and even when the dishwasher is half full because the economy cycle gave me very damp dishes and actually wet plastic bowls. Even with the sanitize cycle which provides extra heat, the bottoms of coffee cups or bowls need to be dried with a towel. Why put things in the dishwasher if you are still drying them??Secondly, there is an ugly smell when you open the dishwasher. I took out the filter and there is about a cup of water that I was told stays at the bottom of the dishwasher at all times (just got this information from Bosch Customer Service). I run this dishwasher twice a week so this same water is just sitting there in an enclosed container for days on end so no wonder the water smells rank - and I have beautiful sparkling sweet tasting well water. How can Bosch deliver a product with such inferior design flaws? I can see from the reviews that many people are having these same problems so Customer Service cannot pretend they never heard this complaint. I intend to pursue this Bosch because I have owned this product for only two weeks and refuse to be stuck with such a bad dishwasher but poor performance with ridiculous design flaws. I guess Bosch is resting on former laurels because I would rank this as a big 0 if there was that option here.
