I will pitch in with a control panel complaint too. I had to replace panels
I will pitch in with a control panel complaint too. I had to replace panels or boards, and the clock control. It cost me about $1,000.00 to get it sorted. This on a range less than 4 years old. We expected it to last at least 8 years. And it was expensive. The repair folks indicated they see a lot of condensation problems. Electrolux hasnt got a handle on this. I contacted Electrolux and they initially seemed helpful, but they were just stringing me along. They said they would give me a reduction if I bought a new one. Right! I cant hardly afford the repairs on the one I have let alone spending another 2 grand on a new range. Stay away folks, stay away!

Our front load Electrolux washer that is 7 years old gave us an error code of E53. Called Electrolux and was told it was the motor control. Ordered the part and still didnt work. Talked to Electrolux again and was told we needed the main control board too. Ordered that part as well. Got it and now the washer locked the washer door and still doesnt do anything but power up and power down. Called Electrolux to see if they would either refund the parts back to us if we sent them back OR send new parts as it seems one may be faulty. They told me they couldnt refund parts nor send new replacement ones as we were not a certified installer. We were never informed that when we ordered the parts. They wont stand behind their parts or issue a refund. All they want to do is send a technician. There are only 2 parts for the electronics that can be replaced. It isnt rocket science and not a hard thing to install. I rebuild computers. It is crazy they wont stand behind their product or send replacement parts or refund. Now we are out $350 and have to break the door to get the clothes out of the washer since the door wont unlock and STILL go buy another washer. BAD SERVICE. BAD PARTS. BAD COMPANY.

I bought a front loader washer in February 2016, my Front loader is now having issues (April 2017). The door will not unlock and the washer was in a middle of washing a load with 8 min left. I cant get it to finish the wash or unlock the door. I unplugged it and tried resetting it by hitting the cancel button like the customer service rep asked me to do and still nothing. I called the Electrolux service dept. and it will take 4 days to even send someone out, plus had to pay $125 service fee upfront just to even get on the waiting list for repair. That lets me know their product is a piece of crap. Never again will I spend my money on their product. Anyone reading this DO NOT BUY ELECTROLUX.

This has been the worst product ever to purchase. I bought a Frigidaire Gallery Series refrigerator back in May of 2016 and had problems ever since. It was the refrigerator on top with two doors and a freezer at the bottom. Had I known that these appliances were only going to last 5 to 7 years tops, I would not have purchased such a flawed product. That is the life expectancy of these products and people dont usually know that. I have had 7 repair people come and take a look at it and they say it cant be fixed and not working at all. It wont get cold or make ice and it has been down for 6 weeks. So dont purchase this product.

If you are interested in purchasing a self cleaning oven that you must clean before using the self-cleaning feature then purchase an Electrolux electric free standing stove... I purchased it in February of 2014 and had problems with self-cleaning from the beginning... Customer service says the stains that remain are cosmetic, therefore, they cant do anything... Oh yes and they also sold me a 2012 model which Electrolux says is legal as long as its boxed, hasnt been used blah, blah, blah... Run, dont walk away from purchasing this stove...or if you are looking for good customer service and appliance policies, dont expect satisfaction.

I purchased a Electrolux washer and dryer in the fall of 2015 and it has broken 4-5 times. Each time it takes 2-3 weeks for repair. This August they replaced the drum, a plastic piece that goes around the drum and the bearings. Five months later the plastic piece has started leaking a lot. So I have been out of a washer for 2 weeks now... never have I had a washer break so much... I bought it because this was suppose to be the best. Boy were they wrong!Updated on 1/15/2018: I recently wrote a review on my Electrolux washer. It was leaking water and the service person came out and said a plastic piece that wraps around the drum had cracked and they had to replace the drum, bearings and the plastic piece all had just been replaced 5 months before. It took 2 months for them to replace them 5 months ago. For 2 months I was without a washer. They replaced the part Jan 4th. The drum and plastic piece were covered in rust which is why my clothes were getting rust on them. Well 8 days later the washer will not drain. This is the fifth time since I bought the washer 2 1/2 years ago that it has broke. The insurance company says the same Part has to break 5 times before they replace it. This is the 2 or 3rd time the pump has broke. For a high-end washer this washer has been nothing but broke.

I have had FOUR refrigerators in Seven years! I bought the first one which was replaced by Electrolux followed by the same thing for a total of 3 times. Unfortunately this last time when the brand new replacement came, it worked for a few hours and then quit, leaving me with ruined food and no refrigerator at all for more than two weeks!! Yes, we have had Electrolux replace their poor quality French door refrigerator but it takes months of calls and repair people visits to come to that. Imagine doing this FOUR times in Seven Years. I am so over. I wake up every day and pray the brand new one is still running!!

I wish I would have found this website before purchasing the refrigerator 4 years ago. I will never buy another Electrolux product again. The ice maker has never fully worked since we got the refrigerator. Contacted Electrolux when it was still under warranty. The service company came out. Said it was the control board and that they would replace it. Never heard from them again and got busy. Finally the ice maker stopped working altogether about a year ago. I think the biggest problem with these appliances is that they are not made in the USA. This refrigerator was made in Mexico -- you get what you pay for -- low wages, low quality. When are we going to learn? Cheap labor is never better. As with Electrolux they have lost and will lose a lot of business due to these problems. Did they really save a lot of money seeking out a lower labor cost country? I will make sure my next appliance is made in the USA.

I purchased a matching set of front loaders (models EIFLS60JIW and EIMED60JIW) on July 12, 2013 and the washer been nothing but a headache. It gets off balance with small loads, medium loads and large loads. Nothing is more frustrating than to start a load, hoping to come home and throw the load into the dryer only to discover it got off balance and never started the cycle. THEN, to make it worse, my clothes are getting slits put in them. I dont know if it is the washer or the dryer. Ive had a service call and they cant figure it out. I absolutely detest this set and wish I had never, ever purchased them. My neighbor has a set of Maytags and she love them - no problems whatsoever.

I believe we purchased the EFLS617SIW washer and received it in June 2016.
I believe we purchased the EFLS617SIW washer and received it in June 2016. Less than 3 months of use, a chunk of the seal tore off. We called a service technician from the alliance company and they were sending someone out to take a look. Once he arrived almost two weeks later, he was shocked at how big the tear was, said he couldnt believe I hadnt had more problems with it, but said customer service didnt put in an order for a seal so he was putting it in that day and would be back next week to install it.I was using the machine in the meantime because one, tiny drop would randomly run down the front of the washer so I put a towel under the washer just to be safe. Three weeks after that visit, the clean washer cycle was run at 4 am and my husband went to bed. I woke up at 7 am to cold water all over the floor (and our clean laundry which was on the floor) in our hallway. I cleaned up the water. 12 hours later I realized the subfloor under our new LVP flooring was swelling. Noon the next day I realized water was in our finished basement. Everywhere! In a panic, I called a restoration company who came out and realized watery had soaked into our bathroom floor, our bedroom, our kitchen subfloor, plus into the ceiling of the basement in two large sections of the basement, our basement bathroom, carpeting in two rooms in our basement, etc. It was soaking into the door frames of rooms and more.I called Electrolux and the woman I spoke with acted new, wouldnt let me speak with a supervisor stating all they would do is assign a complaint number since it is late Friday, and stated they have no emergency department I could speak with. She advised to contact the Risk Management Dept or someone would be contacting me in 2 to 4 business days. By the way, Risk Management does not have a direct line, Customer Service will have to transfer me. I have no idea how this will turn out but I am panicked they will not care. Meanwhile, our house is unlivable while we have 15 commercial drying machines and dehumidifiers in our house but we have to try to exist there.

We purchased an Electrolux dishwasher model EI241D50QS in March 2015. The main board and the pressure switch went in Nov 2016 of course after warranty. Luckily the manufacturer agreed to pay for at least the parts for replacement. Fast forward now to Aug 2017 again the main board looks to be broken in less than a year. Called customer service and asked what they can do to help me as this dishwasher is only 2 years old and should not be broken down for second time and this part is less than a year old. Only response was, “Sorry nothing we can do.” So basically the 1k dishwasher I paid for 2 years ago is junk as the part and about to repair is almost the same cost, what a joke that they cannot stand by their product and give terrible customer service saying, “Oh well nothing we can do. Youre on your own.” I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER APPLIANCE FROM ELECTROLUX OR FRIGIDAIRE EVER AGAIN AND WARN OTHERS ABOUT THEIR PRODUCT.

I made the mistake of purchasing an Electrolux bottom freezer refrigerator
I made the mistake of purchasing an Electrolux bottom freezer refrigerator in 2010. It was not cheap ($3300.00) at the time. I liked the design. The ice maker has not worked since I purchased it. There is always something wrong. Two months ago the ice maker was not freezing ice. I contacted the warranty company and they said they would send someone out. Two weeks went by and I heard nothing. After cleaning up water I called the warranty company again and received a very nice lady (Pamela) and she sent someone different out. They came out and three weeks later put in a new part. That was last Friday. I still do not have ice. Phone calls (3) to Mr. Appliance have not been returned and the call to the warranty company was very abrupt. Latisha could have cared less.

We have a maintenance contract w/ Electrolux for French Door ref purchased Dec 2010.. We were advised by tech contracted with Elux that the company made this ice maker for 18 mos. Due to failure of same, ice maker replaced in new products. Currently, we have had no ice maker since Jul 7 2014. We have had terrible service from both Elux and local tech. All reps apologize for inconvenience, appreciate our frustration, take a msg and nothing happens. I have a ref/file number, still no resolution. Page 1 of the Maintenance service contract states No Lemon Guarantee with requirements that we have met. Being that we have a ref/file number, tech said unit would be replaced. Again, poor service from Electrolux service i.e advised that no photos recd, no report received when service provider, MasterTech contact Lydia, says photos were emailed and report was sent to Elux. MasterTech sent email photos to me yesterday at my request. I forwarded these emails to Elux to Stacy, customer service (?) rep at Elux with request that she has recd email. No response. I am going to contact local vendor as well as TV station, The Turko File, to report this terrible service. As a very satisfied customer with ref but very unsatisfied with ice maker issue and no real assistance other than empty apologies, its time to move to another level. We referred this style ref to friends who purchased after we did; they evidently have the upgraded ref w/ ice maker and love the product. That being said, I would not purchase an Elux ref EVER again and their contracted service technicians are paid very little - they are not paid for additional visits. A losing proposition for techs and then ultimately, us as consumers.

We have a whole kitchen set of Electrolux Icon appliances. Purchased in 2014. The first to go was the induction cooktop in 2017. We purchased a new one to match the rest of the appliances but the top is very dark and hard to read the display. In August of 2019 the dishwasher leaked and ruined our kitchen island and hardwood flooring. Total bill luckily covered by insurance was $30,000. The dishwasher itself was very poor quality. We had to rinse and scrub our dishes before running through the cycle. We changed brands and new dishwasher much better. Hi Now the refrigerator has rust on the inside on back panel. We’ll need to replace that. Two of the plastic drawers are broken. This will cost approximately $800 after shipping etc because we have to purchase the whole drawer and railing system etc. Outrageous!! These items have been treated very gently, only two people in the household. Very disappointed in the quality of these items.

We purchased the dryer in June 2014 and from the first use, the towel setting never dried the towels in the time attributed to that setting - 40 minutes. We have had repairmen inspect the dryer on at least 2 occasions and have spoken directly with Electrolux, and have been told that the factory temperature is set correctly and that we should dry the towels 2x if the setting is not drying the towels. I explained this is a problem - if I put one towel in to dry or several, they never dry on the towel setting. Electrolux asked if I was stating that they are using false advertisement to sell their machines and I responded yes. They further indicated they were not going to change the temperature on the towel setting and reiterated that I should not use the towel setting and that I should find a setting that does dry the towels and that I should not use the towel setting.

Same story as many other reviews. Bought a new Electrolux fridge online at Home Depot Canada. Was dropped off and after 24hrs I noticed ice forming in freezer. I called HD and after 4 attempts to contact the service repair place I finally had someone come and tell me the fridge is faulty and I now need to call my local HD to get a new one. After MANY calls I was then told to call HD head office, then was told to call Electrolux direct, then was told to call back HD H.O. - my head was spinning SO MUCH from the royal runaround. I am STILL waiting to get this dealt with. Keep getting promised I will get called back and NEVER once been called back. Ive spend hours of my valuable time chasing this around and sitting on hold. Like others have said I will NEVER buy another appliance from Home Depot NOR will I EVER buy an Electrolux product as their after sales service is non-existent!

We purchased 4 Electrolux kitchen appliances, a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and range 10 years ago. Wanted all my appliances to match. The range worked except the oven panel on the bottom started to bubble. I called to get it replaced and they told me it wasnt made anymore so I had to live with it. After 2 years the microwave broke and had to replace it, 3 years later the microwave broke again and had to buy another. Then 4 years went by, and the refrigerator broke down completely! Of course, I kept saying - I want them to all match so we bought a new refrigerator. Well about 6 months later, you guessed it, the microwave broke. That was our third one. When I called to see if it could be fixed or replace the panel found out it was so expensive had to buy another. When speaking to customer support I happen to mention about my oven panel. Said yes, they did have a replacement so I ordered it in February. About a month ago it started to bubble just like the last one. Last week I called them and said had to pay for another. Which I will not do. Have not mentioned my dishwasher because I dont use it!! Sure it would break if I did. Hope you were able to read this long experience. In 10 years I have had 3 microwaves, 2 refrigerators and a oven panel that looks terrible. All Electrolux!!! Terrible!!!

On March 16, 2016, I called Electrolux to request a warranty repair of my then 10-week old dishwasher. The phone rep asked numerous questions, including what, exactly, was wrong with my dishwasher. She then instructed me how to try to reset the dishwasher (which failed), and then she scheduled what I thought was a repair appointment, five days later on March 21. The rep asked me whether I preferred a repair time window of 8:00 a.m. to noon, or noon to 5:00. I said I preferred morning as I had an afternoon appointment. The rep then told me that Whitman Appliance Repair would contact me the day before to tell me my specific appointment time. The day before, sure enough, Whitman called only to tell me that would see me between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. I said that Electrolux scheduled me for 8:00 a.m. to noon. Whitman said they could come between 10:00 and 2:00, or they could reschedule for a later date. So at the last minute, I had to schedule an entire vacation day off work and reschedule my afternoon meeting. On March 21, Whitman arrived as scheduled. The repair technician walked into my house, looked at my dishwasher, and said, Whats wrong with it? I said, Didnt Electrolux tell you? The technician said, They dont tell us nothing. I explained the problem. He then said, You need a new blah blah blah (a part). Well have to order it, it will arrive in 3 to 10 business days. Then we will call you to schedule the repair. He then took a few pictures of my dishwasher, including a picture of the serial number. He was in my house for all of about 30 seconds. I said, You mean I wasted a whole days vacation so you could ask me the exact same question that I already answered for the Electrolux phone rep? He said, Well, I needed to get the serial number. I said, I needed to tell the phone rep the serial number before she would schedule the repair! He said, I also needed to take pictures of your dishwasher to document any pre-existing damage, so you cant sue us to fix something that wasnt our fault. Great! I blew an entire vacation day so that Electrolux and Whitman Appliance Repair could cover their butts. Finally, on March 29 -- 19 days after I called Electrolux, I got to schedule yet another vacation day and my dishwasher was finally repaired. The complete lack of even basic communication between Electrolux and Whitman and the long (half-day) appointment windows for repair convince me that Electrolux and Whitman Appliance have absolutely no regard for customer service. I will think long and hard before I ever buy another Electrolux appliance. NEW TOPIC: The dishwasher I replaced was a very low-end model. The Electrolux was, at $888 retail, what I thought was a mid-to-high range model. It has a stainless steel interior and a third rack, which I liked. However, I learned the expensive way that a more expensive dishwasher does NOT clean my dishes any better than a cheap one. The ONLY real difference between my old dishwasher and the new Electrolux, is that the Electrolux is quieter when running. However, the noise level of my old dishwasher never bothered me or my family. Our bedrooms and TV room are separate floors from the kitchen, so we rarely heard the old dishwasher. And even if we were sitting nearby, we could converse or play music or do whatever without ever being bothered by the dishwasher. If I ever have to buy another dishwasher, Ill choose a cheap one (and very lucky NOT an Electrolux).

Stay away from buying this brand. I purchased a Microwave/oven wall combination that I custom made my kitchen cabinets around. Literally after 2 uses, the interior blue coating started flaking off. After about 10 uses the whole bottom of the oven is completed raw. This makes cleaning the oven impossible as its now a very rough texture. After many calls and emails and complaints about the blue enamel flaking off and flying around the oven when operating, they stated there is nothing we can do because its a cosmetic issue. Electrolux told me to contact a appliance repairman which I did. After inspection he told me, There is absolutely nothing I can do with this. It cannot be recoated. Perfect!!!! Now what! I have a brand new oven that is ruined after 2 uses and there is nothing I can do. Buy any other brand but this one. Its a joke, and the only thing I can pray for is not getting cancer from the enamel landing on the food that is cooking in the oven. Dont buy ELECTROLUX, there should be a warning label on this brand.

We purchased an above the stove Electrolux microwave/convection oven several years ago with the understanding that this was a good solid quality brand. We did not get an extended warranty. Almost immediately after the original warranty ended, it stopped heating. It was too costly to repair - we spent a couple hundred dollars on it and ended up just getting a new one. Same model but with the extended warranty. Glad we did, but after 4 service calls and it still doesnt turn on consistently, I will NEVER PURCHASE AN ELECTROLUX APPLIANCE AGAIN. BEWARE OF THIS BRAND. We built our dream house in late 2013. We purchased a washer, dryer, refrigerator, double oven, gas cooktop, dishwasher and an under counter ice maker. All ELECTROLUX. The washer is full of mold, the oven cooks unevenly, my refrigerator ice maker is unreliable - having its own mind and only sporadically makes ice. At one point after several months of use it dispensed pieces of styrofoam along with ice cubes. Have already replaced the dishwasher due to excessive service calls and mold. The latest slap in the face was my under counter ice maker just stopped working. Called Electrolux. They sent a repair person out - the service call was $145.00 - it was a crack in the propeller on the circulation pump. To replace, the estimate was about $800. It was only used a handful of times, mostly during the holidays. It will be on the curb for trash day. Electrolux products are horrible and so is their customer service department.

My Electrolux refrigerator came with my new builders home - I wanted GE Profile, but settled for Electrolux. The refrigerator has been nothing but a problem. The freezer side and the water dispenser, have been worked on many times. The freezer freezes up with crystals, water continues to drip from the dispenser and they have repaired it four (4) times without success. I have asked for a more seasoned professional to come and handle the repair however I just keep getting the same old, same old person who always comes (yes, the one who put the door heater in upside down!!!). Be cautious when you are considering purchasing an Electrolux product - GE Profile cant be beat, even though it might cost a little more. The Electrolux customer service treats people like they are the judge and we are the condemned. Their service times is ancient - 8AM-5PM of all things. Who does that anymore??? Ive spend five days home waiting for them and Im tired of it now. I urge you to look around, check on the customer service, read reviews, do your homework before purchasing.

36 Electrolux Icon Professional Series Counter Depth French Door - For a refrigerator that costs 3700.00 you would think it would last WELL. You would be WRONG. Not a good investment. I do not recommend this product at all. We have had the rubber seals go bad. Pieces of some plastic just brake off and now the repairman tells us that the ice maker just ate itself. We have no power to it at all, good thing we were home. The service guy said he has seen where they have caught fire. Again glad we were home. Customer service is NO HELP AT ALL. I hate them! We have had them for 2 years and we have had nothing but problems, and the repair man and I are on first name bases! Last week, he was here to replace the heating elements. Today, I washed 4 loads of laundry and just put the 5th load going and noticed the screen is blank but lit up. The machine is working so far, but its not done yet either! We saved and saved, and spent $1200 per unit for this! Never again! We had a front loader before and it was fine. We have a large family, 10 kids and 2 adults, so it gets used a lot and we were told this would be the perfect machine for our family. This turned out to be the biggest mistake we have ever made! I have been sure to tell my friends and family this also! We are friends with he people that sold us these machines and I shared my complaints with them as well. I will only buy Maytag and top loaders! On top of the current problem with the washer screen, it also leaks in the front and has now rusted the front of the machine because of this. A zipper took a very small nick in the rubber gasket. This by the way is the second gasket we have had on this machine and looks like number 3 at $125.00 per gasket will be on it again! I cant believe the price we paid for these in the beginning and now with repair bills. Im very unhappy!

This is the worst experience I have ever had. Six months ago, moving to the new home, everything is fine but the Electrolux washer keeps giving me headache. Same sensor problem happened 3 times. There are 3 different companies that came to fix it. Okay, finally its fixed, but this is not a very good sign to have such a new machine with recurring problem. I had a very bad feeling about it, but they refused to replace a new functional one to me. No refund! No replacement. Live with it!Recently I found a lot of mold within the gasket and even the hardest clean layer. I tried to wipe it ever since I found it, but it just keeps coming back. I expect a new gasket, but the customer service said its not covered by the warranty. I need to pay for the part $155 + tax + techs labor. What? Is this my responsibility? The poor design is trapping the water. They said I need to leave the door open and clean it every time. There is a gap very, very hard to reach in. I cant imagine the front load washers door needs to be left open to air dry. No wonder there are horrible news about kids got into the washer or dryer. I am buying a $1,400+ washer, but I need to wipe it after each wash? High tech or more work? Reading their FB and saw many people complain about all types of appliance they bought. I wish Id read it! They really dont care about their reputation and no customer services at all.

DON’T EVER BUY ELECTROLUX APPLIANCES! September 2015 is when we purchased a new Electrolux dishwasher to replace our very old dishwasher probably over 30 years old. Never had a problem with the old dishwasher. It served its purpose but could not run anymore. We were excited to buy a new dishwasher hoping that it would sanitize and clean dishes better. Since we got the new Electrolux dishwasher in September 2015, it has broken down 6 times. Also does not clean well and I rinse everything before I place in dishwasher. It’s only 2.5 years old. Called Electrolux over 20 times getting it repaired and begging them to replace the dishwasher because we were sold a lemon. Every time they denied replacing it. There are a few inconsiderate rude Electrolux agents that I talked to and lied to me. I have been lied to many times by Electrolux agents and they keep their stories straight. I record everything; calls, notes, confirmation numbers. Horrible customer service!

Electrolux quite possibly has THE worst customer service I have ever dealt with. For whatever reason the original company we purchased this product(Front Load Washer Model #EIFLS60LT) from, and had provided service previously, no longer services our area. We are pushed into using another company for our warranty service for a washing machine less than 18 months old that suddenly the door will not open on it took over a week for an appointment. The repairman finally came out and got the door open. That was it... They did not check to see if it would cycle... Did not look for additional error codes, etc. Well, of course, as soon as we try a load it craps out with a totally different error code and naturally this is on a holiday weekend. The earliest we can get a repairman out to look is another 8 days out!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous! I plan on posting every negative review that I can and will never purchase an Electrolux product ever again.

If it were possible to rate Electrolux with zero stars I would have done that. I have had a nightmare of an experience with my Electrolux front loader washing machine and this was a VERY expensive machine. The first machine that was delivered to me didnt work at all so that had to be removed and another new machine brought it. That second machine worked for about 10 washes and it went out. Not only was this completely inconvenient to be without a washing machine again, and realizing that this incredible expensive machine was completely unreliable, Working with Electrolux with the warranty to have it serviced was a total nightmare. The local company they used under the warranty to come out and service the machine took almost 2 weeks to get me on their calendar so I was without a washing machine for that amount of time and I just had to wait it out, per Electrolux (thats even after going to their customer service management). When the company came to service it, they determined that it needed FOUR MAJOR PARTS REPLACED, which included a new water sensor, a new motor, new motherboard, etc. I had this SECOND new machine for less than 45 days. Not only that, but 3 of the 4 parts that needed replacing were on backorder. Electrolux was AWFUL to deal with, their customer service kept hanging up on me or passing me around when I was trying to find a solution to this problem and eventually they told me that I had to wait it out and they would get someone to service it when the parts came in. I was the one inconvenienced by their unreliable product and they had zero sympathy for my situation (including the fact that Im extremely pregnant and about to have a baby any day). I regret buying an Electrolux appliance and hope this review reaches a lot of people so others dont go through the same nightmare Ive been through with this company.

My Electrolux EIMED60JIWO front load dryer will not start. Serial # 4D10402611. Purchased May 28, 2011 Hampton, VA. Registered with Electrolux. If I turn the dial to different settings it beeps at each setting, light flashes on and off with the beep. If I try to start, turn the dial, cancel or push any other buttons, it beeps. This has happened 4 times since I purchased the dryer in May 28 of 2011. I believe the last technician said the dryer had to be reset. It will not reset. I tried unplugging, resetting the circuit breaker, factory resetting the dryer by pushing the temperature button and the dryness button simultaneously for 6 seconds. NOTHING. STILL NOT WORKING!!! Of course it is only 4 years old, but out of warranty. They advised that I purchase a 2 year extended warranty for $267.74, and then I have to wait 9 days for the earliest service call. The dryer cost $1100!!! They didnt fix the problem when it was under the original warranty. I am NOT happy with Electrolux. WARNING!!! DO NOT BUY ELECTROLUX!! They offer a poor product, poor service, and fail to honor the warranty. I expected more out of my Electrolux. Please advise.

Purchased high end (what a joke) Electrolux appliances. Turned out to be thinly disguised Frigidaire appliances. What a mistake. Fridge ice maker kept failing. Service guy told me Electrolux would send him out 3-5 times then would replace the fridge believe it was 4 times, but even then it took a couple of hours discussing the issue with Frigidaire warranty department. They tried to pull the its out of warranty excuse because it was just over a year. The new fridge has a different ice maker but still periodically must be defrosted and the milk self broke. The microwave needed a new display board, then 6 months later shorted out because it had been improperly painted which allowed it to arc. Even though it was out of warranty by about 6 months they finally agree to replace, but not install a new unit. The plastic impeller on the dishwasher failed. The service tech advised me to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. The stove has failed and needed a $600 controlled board. It has now failed again. Junk.

Fast forward to 2nd service call and the ice maker still does not work properly. I asked Electrolux to replace it or give me a refund. They would not. Third visit from Service Tech., still not working. I told Electrolux I could not afford to keep taking time off work but they do not care. Fourth Service Call, repairman said door is defective. He managed to shim the new component & not tighten screw all the way & now the Ice Maker is working but, for how long??? Electrolux refuses to do anything. It is September 2016 and the sealing strip around the freezer is falling off and the trim is cracking. I have to continue monthly blow-drying the interior door of the freezer to on freeze the water line and the back of my refrigerator continues to rust because of water leakage in the back inner panels of the body in this unit. I bought my Electrolux wall oven model CPEB30S9DC2 in early 2007 and it has worked without incident until Jan 16 2015. That evening we were cooking and lucky we were not out of our house and only in another room when we heard the sound of electrical short coming from the kitchen. Smoke was coming from the wall oven and thought that, an element was burning out due to its approximately 7.5 years of service. Pushing the OFF button on the face did nothing and sparks smoke and a burning plastic smell was filling the room. Went directly to the power supply and turned off the circuit breaker. Being in the manufacturing business of electric steam generating appliances for over 35 years, I investigated the construction of the printed circuit board that had caught fire in the wall oven. I was surprised to discover that there was no fused protection on this internal device. This lack of conscience in the design would have in the worst case scenario allowed a fire to start in the appliance that may have transferred to the surrounding cabinetry. Lucky for us, we had the power supply disconnected within 1 minute of the short circuit and the only damage was smoke and fumes, which we can still smell in our kitchen even after removing the wall oven, cleaning the smoke soot from the cabinetry and airing out the kitchen for 24 hours. Thought I was buying a quality product when I purchased this appliance but after reading about so many different appliance recalls on the internet, I want to take my next purchase apart and study the construction before installing in my home. There are too many horror stories out there about families that have lost so much due to appliance fires. I do not understand how this design could hold a CSA mark and have been passed for certification. My next letter is to CSA. Am I the only wall oven that has a printed circuit board that has melted and caught fire. Consumer beware!!

We remodeled our kitchen several years ago and replaced our dishwasher, refrigerator and slide-in range/oven with Electrolux appliances. All three have required significant repairs or replacement. The dishwasher has failed twice and has “irreparable problem”. The wire that holds the door open in various position is connected to a molded plastic fitting in the frame. The fitting breaks off the molded plastic frame. The machine is build on and that’s that’s, you need a new dishwasher. After two years of service we received a $200. Credit toward our next $1,000+ machine. The fancy range we bought had a valve fail and that was $400. And the ice maker failed in the fridge. That was $350 for half an ice maker that now sounds like it’s grinding up glaciers. No more Electrolux for us!

Avoid Electrolux Washer and Dryers like the PLAGUE!!! They make horrible designs, and are deceitful and dishonest with their clients. I purchased two units from them in 2013 - a washer EIFLS55IMB and a dryer EIMED55IMB. The washer has been a disaster. First of all most of the components inside the washer are made in China which has a terrible reputation for quality. In my particular case the main pulley attached to the tub is constantly coming loose because the bolt that holds it on cant do the job. Over time the belt gets loose because the pulley wobbles on its axis and the washer cannot spin/rinse the clothes. Worse yet the pulley is designed so that the belt can easily slip off of it as there is no lip to keep it in place. When the pulley comes loose it often drags against the plastic tub... cutting into the tub itself until it eventually slices through it completely. The end result is catastrophic failure.I have had several repair people come over and do realignment of the pulley and belt but it keeps happening. Finally I went in there and took a look for myself and was astonished at what I saw. A complete and total design failure. Electrolux should not be trusted with any appliance purchases. Believe me this company will rip you off and not live up to their warranty commitment. Avoid them like the the plague or you will be sorry!Updated on 07/17/2015: I filed this first Consumer Affairs complaint against Electrolux listed below a few months ago. Well I now have confirmed that the grooves cut into my clothes washer tub by the defective tub pulley is causing water from the tub to splash inside the unit which then makes it way into the pedestal. All the circuitry and the control board for the washer have experienced corrosion as a result. It is a miracle there wasnt an electrical fire.

We purchased an Electrolux dishwasher and refrigerator - upgrading our current appliances after a remodel. These are the first and last Electrolux items I will ever purchase. The dishwasher had continuous problems with leaking. I had numerous repair companies come out and try to repair the problem - until they told me that the only thing they could do was take the unit to their warehouse, put it up higher and see if they could possibly find the leak - no guarantee. Every technician told me that Electrolux brands are one of the worst to work on. So we got rid of the dishwasher and replaced with another brand. Now it is the refrigerator. I got an EF error code on my display and after unplugging and plugging back in the fridge as the customer service rep at Electrolux instructed me to do, the whole fridge and freezer stopped cooling. This is not the first time I have had to empty my entire fridge and freezer. If you are considering buying Electrolux, read some of the reviews on this thread. Purchased a Frigidaire Gallery side by side in December and had it delivered to a new house. We purchased January 23rd and the fridge was delivered the next day. On February 4th I came home from work and found my kitchen and dining room flooded and the hardwood floors in the dining room are warped and water-stained. The reason for the water damage was that the water in the door of the fridge came on by itself and ran for hours. A couple of days later, I got a call from Wendy of Electrolux in the claims department, letting me know that I should claim with my home owners insurance because if I file one with Electrolux, I will have to get to estimates and they will only pay a prorated amount on my wood floor because the house was built in 2005. I recently purchased an Electrolux dishwasher from Lowes on Thursday March 16, 2014. It had been on display in their cabinet section and discounted accordingly. When I got the unit home and went to install it I found the discharge hose that connects to the garbage disposer was not in the unit. I also found the mounting brackets were missing. I called Electrolux customer service and explained the issue. A gentleman named Jerry took our call. We told him we needed the parts right away as we had kitchen installers at our home. We asked for the parts to be shipped overnight so we could finish installation on Friday. He said it could not be done - company policy states that missing parts would be shipped only in 3-7 days. If we paid for the parts and overnight shipping we would have them Saturday. This was originally a $1500 dishwasher and we felt we were being treated poorly. We were on the phone for about an hour and I requested to speak to a supervisor and was told none were available and to call back tomorrow. Totally frustrated, we paid for the parts and next day shipping via credit card. No parts arrived Friday, no parts arrived Saturday, and no parts arrived Sunday. We finally received the parts on Monday. Much to our frustration, the hose was wrong. Jerry had shipped the hose that was attached to the dishwasher, not the hose that attaches to the garbage disposal. So, on the phone again with Electrolux. The next customer service person could not identify the hose I needed and said she would have to speak to engineering. She called back later in the day to state they identified the hose, she would credit me for all the missing parts and overnight shipping. She said she needed to transfer me to another department which would handle shipping me the correct parts. Upon transferring the call, the connection dropped. 2 hours of effort lost. I called back in and spoke to another customer service agent who was not helpful, could not find any notes after I explained to yet another person at the company what had happened. He states that because it was a floor model I would have to pay again for the parts. AT THIS POINT I LOST IT. 4 plus hours on the phone with Electrolux and I was back at the starting point I experienced Thursday. Is this the service they provide to customers buying their products?? We are in the process of selecting another dishwasher, 2 wall ovens, a stove, and refrigerator for our new kitchen. We are also selecting appliances for our in-law suite and a rental home. Needless to say, given our experience, the new appliances will not be Electrolux. Adding pain to this experience, no invoice was provided with the parts shipment!! Does anyone at Electrolux care????

Purchased brand new front load ElFLS60LTI Electrolux washer and dryer July 2015. Washer leaking from underneath and called service repair company. Back metal wheel with rubber belt had continually been cutting away into the back of the drum and carved out a hole where water leaked out. There was plenty of shredded strips of the rubber belt at bottom of the unit due to half of the belt eroding away as it was carved into the back of drum with the metal wheel. Not worth money to repair. I took photos and called Electrolux customer service and asked for a discount toward a new washer or even a used washer since this one was in use for only 2.5 years. The answer was NO. They suggested I shop around for deals. They did offer me 50% off any parts. Nothing toward labor. So I might as well buy a new washing machine. How about offering me 50% off a washer since this clearly was a defect. Anyway, I will never purchase an Electrolux product again.

I purchased a new home and bought the extended warranty from Electrolux for the appliances. Within the first year, my microwave broke 4 times. On the final time, I was told the microwave would be replaced. My microwave broke over 3 weeks ago, and initially customer service said someone would get back to me within 5 business days to approve the replacement. When I didn’t hear anything for 10 business days, I called them back. I was then told to give them another 3 business days. When I didn’t hear back AGAIN, I called them and was told that these things (meaning replacing my microwave) takes time and I should be patient, and that I could possibly be without a microwave for 2 months. Does that sound acceptable?? What modern home can go without a major appliance for that long? Their customer did not care. I spoke to a supervisor who was not helpful and kept repeating the same phrase, “I understand your frustration.” However he was not offering any solutions to my problem. He did, however, tell me that if they had to ship my microwave then I am financially responsible for the shipping and installation. If you are reading this before you purchase an Electrolux or Frigidaire appliance (Electrolux provides the extended warranty) please DON’T purchase. Buyer beware, as you can see all over this site the Electrolux refrigerator
Buyer beware, as you can see all over this site the Electrolux refrigerator has a long term known problem. I have experienced the same problems as others, within the first 30 days after purchase I had 5 tech visits to fix the moisture problem coming out of our ice machine. They finally got it to stop dripping, or so we thought. What we have found, now outside of warranty, is that the dripping water was being diverted to the rear of the unit. Building up moisture in the rear insulation of the unit causing the rear wall to swell and rusting the back panel from the inside out. We learned of this because one morning my wife went to get ice and a weird noise happened and the fridge went out. We found that the swelling caused the ice machine to dislodge and a wire fell into the ice, froze in the ice and then was torn out when we turned on the ice maker for ice.We contacted Electrolux and they had another tech come out. The solution - put a 2 foam pad on the back of the unit. So now I have moisture inside of the internal insulation, a fried motherboard, wires exposed and my counter depth unit sticks out of the built in cabinet! To add insult to injury they agreed verbally to provide a labor concession on the ice maker if I bought the parts. After 30 days of arguing I agreed to buy the parts and now they said they never agreed to a labor concession!!! This has been a horribly frustrating process, so do your homework before purchasing from Electrolux. Of the 5 appliances we bought for our new home 3 of them required service in the first 12 months (fridge, microwave and dishwasher). I just wish that Electrolux owned up to their known moisture issue and even outside of warranty stood behind their product. This same issue has been going on for years but I guess they can get by with it! I hope this helps.

I was extremely excited to buy a set of supposedly quality washer and dryer
I was extremely excited to buy a set of supposedly quality washer and dryers made by Electrolux last year in March 2015. We purchased them from hhgregg in Lakeland, FL. Less than a year later the washer made a funny screeching noise and would not fully spin all the water out of the clothes. So thankfully it was under warranty being it was less than a year old. They sent a technician to look at the washer. (He was very nice) He said it was the drum and can order a new part and when it comes in we will come back out and replace it for you. He called in the repair, we were told it would be in the next week on a Monday. So Monday comes and goes. We called and they said the part didnt come in, it will be another week. This is extremely frustrating being we have a new born and have been washing clothes at a laundry mat and a neighbors house. SPENDING MONEY AT LAUNDROMAT!!! Finally after over 50$ in coins spent they came out on 03/15 and replaced some parts. Not only did one of the guys come to our house coughing and hacking all over the place they left scratches on the front of the washer!!! So guess what??? My baby gets a cold, no one is sick in our house and still she is fighting it. Im so upset at this whole ordeal. So even worse!!! TODAY the washer starts making the same sound, this time I recorded it on my phone to show the technician. About less than a minute after recording the spin cycle which is the last cycle... I walk out to the kitchen which is right off the laundry room, I start to smell smoke!!! Like something is burning! I go back into the laundry room and theres smoke coming from the damn washer. I panic and hit cancel, run to the living room, grab my daughter and my phone, run outside and called my husband who called the fire department. The fire department just left and my husband is the phone with hhgregg since our warranty ran out on 03/28/2016. They said OH WELL! My house would have burned down if I didnt hit cancel. We did purchase an extended warranty through hhgregg so we will see what happens. I am terrified to use these machines! I have pictures, video, and a report from the fire department. I will keep everyone updated. I no longer want these machines in my home. I will be returning both units to hhgregg even if we just drop them off. We are being handed back and forth from hhgregg and Electrolux at the moment. This was a very scary event today and we are being treated like no one wants to touch the washer because it caught on fire. Cannon Appliance Service said they want nothing to do with the repair anymore, call hhgregg. We are being told they have to come out and look at it and make sure it wasnt OUR FAULT their machine caught on fire. Thats where we are at, they are coming on Monday 04/04/16 to check it out. The fire department put the washer outside on our driveway. I have a video of the washer and you can actually see smoke starting to come out of the machine which I didnt notice till I watched the video just now.

12/19/2011 purchased Electrolux washer & dryer from local appliance dealer, over $1600. Shortly afterward, problems with washer spin cycle & door lock. Local dealers authorized repairman made multiple repair attempts, problem unsolved. Dealer said WE had to contact the factory! So much for the local dealer for good service. After back and forth with factory, they agreed to replace washer with a new one. 2013 the dryer heater element failed, replaced under warranty. 2014 dryer heater element failed again. Warranty expired. Again, no help from local dealer, and no help from Electrolux. 2014 dryer motor making noise. No help from local guy, Electrolux will send a motor for half price. The second washer still has problem with spin cycle, rebooting by unplugging seems to reset and resolve the problem, so far. I mistakenly expected, after investing in new high end appliances, I would enjoy a few years of trouble free service. Wrong!

Purchased a Electrolux Refrigerator Model #EW288S715A. Ice maker stopped working about 6 months after install. Electrolux tried and send us a new refrigerator. Within a few months the ice maker went again. Electrolux said they would sell us another new one for 40% off the retail price. Its a good thing we didnt do that deal - I have since learned that the refrigerator that they would have sold us would have had the same problem. So no ice-maker in a $4000 CDN appliance and after a few years an error message appeared on the panel.Found out that the problem with the ice maker has now caused more serious problems with the guts of the refrigerator from water damage caused by poor insulation that will cost us almost $900 CDN and will probably fail again in the near future. Electrolux know this is a problem but are not reaching out to their customers to tell them what to do - basically the company has stuck their heads in the sand hoping that purchasers of this product dont get together and go after them. I am working on starting a class action suit. Electrolux is one of the largest appliance manufacturers in the world and are abusing their clients with incredibly bad designed products. Stay away from Electrolux. I was told that Bosch makes a fairly good refrigerator.

We purchased - largely for being identical in appearance - the Electrolux dishwasher, oven, and microwave set for a remodeled kitchen. Heres my experience with all three, plus other info. Dishwasher 1: Simply did not clean dishes. Three warranty service calls did not fix. Replaced with the identical Electrolux dishwasher. Dishwasher 2 (replacement): Leaked water onto the kitchen floor, and made an amazingly loud and unacceptable noise in operation. Two warranty service calls did not fix the leak and could not diagnose the noise. Lowes took it back and we replaced it with a now out-of-place looking but functional Kitchenaid.Oven: Several of the blue bars on the lighted timer/temperature indicators are not fully functional at one year old (off warranty), so have to guess at temperatures and time. Very expensive to repair. Went through one temp. probe warranty repair (it was not connected internally at the factory). Troubleshooted and replaced a faulty second probe. The oven has twice stopped functioning, but I was able to get it operational by rebooting it (shutting off the appliance breakers, then turning them back on). Note: At the same time, my son, who lives 500 miles away, also bought the same type Electrolux oven, and he also has experienced the loss of some of the blue bars that constitute the numbers needed for time and temperature reading.Microwave: Many of the blue bars that constitute the numbers for time are not functional. Try operating a microwave without fully functional numbers for time, etc. The cost of the repair (replacement of the electronics is almost half the cost of an entire new unit. We limp along as is because of our attempt to match the appliances in the kitchen, and we are not about to replace with the identical Electrolux. Note: My son bought the identical microwave and he has the same problems. These things tell me that Electrolux shipped an entire batch of ovens and microwaves across the US with faulty lighted numbers. The shipping of two out-of-box failure dishwashers is almost unbelievable. I dont know how a company can survive with such a record of failures across three product lines.

I had purchased an Electrolux washer and dryer in July of 2015. I spent over $2200 on the pair. I noticed almost immediately that the washer wasnt completely spinning the clothes dry. I assumed it was because it was too full. I lightened the loads and the problem still continued. I often had to rewash the loads 4 and 5 times to get it to spin dry. I had family come in to stay with me a few months after I purchased it. They used the machine and told me to call the company and have someone come out. I did and when the service guy came out he had told me that the entire inside of the machine needed to be replaced because a bolt came loose and pushed the drum forward. He informed me that the was a lemon and that I should get a replacement machine. He also said this would take 2 weeks and 2 guys and a 5 hr job. 2 weeks without a washing machine was unheard of in my world. I immediately called Electrolux and spoke to a manager. They told me all they could do is fix it and pay for the repairs. They told me to talk to Sears where I bought it to see if they would do anything for me. Well Sears did nothing!!! Literally said its not our problem and they dont deal with Electrolux. Then why the Hell do you sell it??? Never shop there... Ever. Anyway the repairs guy came out 12 days later. Fixed it and 1 week later I called to report the same issue. He retired to tell me its just the way this machine is. Nothing else he could do. Again, 2 weeks later the machine stopped spinning all together. They returned and said the bolt was loose again. This time they glued it. 7 months old and the machine is being glued. Well I said, pretty bad for a new machine to be treated like a 10 year old one. I called Electrolux and told them this was the 3 call on the same problem and this should be treated as a lemon and the machine should be replaced. The woman agreed completely and said she would get on the problem. Well never heard from her again. My husband called, talked to the manager and he said now that its glued it should be fine. I would have to wait for it to break again before any action takes place. Ive been out of laundry for a total of a month and for some reason they think thats ok!! I dont!!! Never ever purchase from this ** company. Save your money please.

Every time its used loses temperature and have to shut off and restart. Ruins every cake and meal. Now Im stuck with this $3800 oven. Sears no longer sells it or supports it. No one takes accountability. I need help.

Purchase Electrolux French door refrigerator 3 years ago and have had nothing but problems on mostly all of the parts of the refrigerator. Have had computer panel replaced 2 times, the rubber sealing around the freezer door 3 times, the LED light 1 time, the compressor 1 time. These required multiple service calls using our extended warranty purchase approx $200+ per year. After 3 years of paying for the extended warranty I have decided to purchase a LG and hope for a better experience.Due to the multiple issues I thought they would have just replaced the refrigerator with a new one but was told they would have to have 3 repairs on the same part within a year in order to give me a new refrigerator. THE COMPRESSOR GOING OUT was my last straw. I will not purchase more coverage for 2019. DO NOT BUY. BOTTOM MOUNT REFRIDGE - ESA - Full Coverage. Term: 1 YEAR. Brand: ELECTROLUX. Model Number: EI23BC30KW. Serial Number: 4A42517637. Effective Date of Plan: 01/01/2019. Expiration Date of Plan: 12/31/2019.

I have Electrolux 5 burner stovetop for my home. Last year (2021) 2 of the knobs were not working so I called them and ordered 2 knobs each 35 dollars. For sure the knobs will be damaging every year for Electrolux stovetop and you need to buy every year. Very poor quality design and expensive.I have issue with Electrolux microwave too. Worst design I have ever seen. The handle screw got loose and dropped into the door and there is no option to fix the screen. When I called them, they said I need to order entire door for 600 dollars. What a design. They design their products to rob the customers for years. DONT buy any Electrolux product. Just stay away from it. Not worth buying. Very poor quality design. I got frustrated with their products at my home.

I have had this Electrolux EI23BC35K Counter Depth Refrigerator for about two weeks now, so I am ready to give it a review. Some things that I really like about it are: Looks great, doors and drawers all open and close smoothly. The LED lights come on and transition from off to full brightness in a couple of seconds. Rounded pyramid ice cubes from the door dispenser, and near half moon shaped cubes in the freezer, plenty of ice. So far, the ice makers are working perfectly. Temperature readings on the front display appear accurate. What I don't like about this refrigerator: The compressor and fans run constantly. I have only heard it shut off once, for about 15 minutes. Even after not being opened all night long, it is still running non-stop in the morning. It does have, as other reviewers have noted, a slight, high pitched whine coming from the compressor. It's not too loud, but noticeable. Since it never cycles off, it can be a bit annoying if you have good hearing and your kitchen is open to the living area. The water filling the ice makers makes a loud whoosh noise, much louder than my previous fridge. The refrigerator arrived in decent time, considering it had to be shipped from the east coast to the west coast. Upon arrival, the packaging appeared good, and once the cardboard was removed, it all looked good so I accepted delivery. After I completed the tedious task of removing the protective film from the stainless steel front, I found a small dent in the exact middle of the freezer door. It wasn't visible with the film on, and the film took a long time to remove as it was like peeling duct tape off. The blue film on the handles come off easily, but the somewhat clear film on the doors was a royal pain to remove, taking about 40 minutes to finish. I did not make the delivery people wait while I did this, so could not mark it as damaged in shipping, so I get to live with it. That being said, I am overall fairly happy with my purchase, but would really have to think twice about buying a major appliance this way again. I saved a couple hundred over buying locally, but lost out on having the slight damage repaired. The savings I made were used to buy a SquareTrade extended warranty and new water supply line. If I have any issues in the future, I will update my review.

We purchased an Electrolux washer and dryer in April of 2019 because our plumber installed the washer connection on the right side of our laundry room. Electrolux was the only system that offered a reversible door on the washer. We have owned an LG washer and dryer since 2005 and like that brand, but were stuck with the situation. The dryer is a stunning example of lousy engineering and lousy quality control. The door ledge is deep, so the spinning motion of the dryer dumps lighter-weight clothes like socks and T-shirts onto the ledge, which covers the lint filter opening which causes poor air circulation. To fix that, the company installed a larger vane that apparently tries to fix the problem by scooping the clothes off the filter. It works with larger items, not with smaller. The second failure is the moisture sensor, which sits near the lint filter, facing up. It is fairly large. Since the clothes do not properly circulate in the dryer and end up on top of the lint filter, they end up on top of the moisture sensor. The wet clothes stay in circulation because they are heavier. The lighter clothes that dry faster end up falling on the lint filter and sensor, so the dryer thinks the load is dry and signals the end of cycle. We often have to run three or more cycles to dry the clothes. The electronic control board failed within a few months of the dryer being installed. The touch sensors would not work. When the service tech came out to replace it, he said that it was a common problem with the machines, and demonstrated sliding a finger across the button we wanted to active when the panel stopped responding. He also suggested using the timed drying feature rather than the sensor options because of the poor design of the sensor. He replace the panel, which then failed again about 6 months later. This time, the timed option stopped working; its stuck on 30 minutes. A few weeks ago, the washer decided to join in the fray. It will not dispense fabric softener. Apparently the control that turns on the water spray over the dispenser is not working, so we have a cup full of softener sitting there. In 15 years of owning LG appliances (the first set from 2005 to 2016, the second set from 2106 to now - both are in our primary home) we have had more service calls on the Electrolux garbage in 18 months of service than 15 years for LG. We begged Electrolux to take the appliances back, but they refused. It appears that their primary profit comes from selling extended warranty service, which costs a significant percentage of the original purchase price. Bottom line: Electrolux products should stay in the showroom, not in your laundry room.

All my Electrolux appliances broke down. The dryer quit and had to replace the motherboard. The microwave broke and replaced it with another over the range microwave and the handle broke within few months. Then last week my Electrolux dishwasher caught fire. It was the motor that caught fire and spread to the insulation. The fire department came and put out the fire and whole house was damaged with smoke. Insurance is handling the claim and I had to pay the $1000 deductible and the dishwasher is not covered by the insurance. It was a loss close to 10 grand. Electrolux wasnt even ready to pay someone to come and do an inspection and I had to pay an authorized repairman to come and submit the report to Electrolux. He is coming tomorrow to do the inspection. I am really frustrated with Electrolux appliances and their accountability.

We bought a new Electrolux refrigerator in July of 2014 and were told by our sales person that Electrolux was a higher grade brand. We believed him and opted to spend a little more to get what we thought would be a bit better quality. Were we wrong! One year and one week to the day, our wiring harness burned out, causing my entire house to smell of burn plastic. All of my food took on the taste and smell of burnt plastic and my refrigerator stopped cooling. When I called Electrolux, they basically told me we were out of luck since we were out of warranty, but they could offer me an extended warranty for $575 (what a deal). We have spent the last 2 days fighting with them over this piece of crap refrigerator that lasted us an entire year and we can either buy the extended warranty or be forced to buy an entirely new refrigerator. Needless to say, I will NEVER buy an Electrolux appliance as long as I live. I will go out of my way to tell people what a substandard product they manufacture and how they provide no concern for customer service or satisfaction. As a consumer I have to wonder why companies push extended warranties when they claim that their products are superior in quality. Shouldnt a refrigerator last longer than 1 year?

After 6 months, my Electrolux gas dryer stopped working. Relieved it was still under warranty, I contacted Electrolux. That was a week ago and my dryer is still not repaired. The hold up is that the 2 lb part that the repairman determined was needed is in North Carolina and I live in California. Electrolux has refused to expedite delivery and has sent it via UPS SurePost which will take 8 days. This costs about $10 vs the $37 2-day UPS services costs. More disturbingly, after much insistence on my part, Electrolux agreed to send it via 2-day UPS service but then did not do it. I have wasted so much time and energy trying to get through to Electrolux customer service agents and then trying to get information out of them. They have gone back and forth telling me stories about the shipping details. Escalating to supervisors has been useless, they, too, make general statements such as, I understand how frustrating this must be to not have your dryer for a long period of time. The lack of real interest in customer service is shocking and I will never be purchasing Electrolux again. Just wanted to warn other consumers.

However, we have had seven service calls on that appliance in two years! First of all, the doors werent aligned, then there was a leak in the back of the unit because it was never sealed at the factory. Model # E130BM6CPSA. Purchased this Electrolux OTR Microwave with the convection and grill in the hopes that I could get rid of my Breville convection toaster oven from our kitchen counter. Unfortunately no luck in doing that. Purchased Aug.31, 2017 and because the kitchen cupboards had to be modified to accommodate the microwave it sat in the box until Jan. 5, 2018 when it got installed by professional cabinet installers who have done this many times. The microwave works well, however when I went to use the convection cooking function I ended up using it 2X as long as the toaster oven and then had to put it in the toaster oven to actually get past just being warm. Next day I tried to use the grill function to cook 6 small breakfast sausages and they also took 2X as long so I put them in the fry pan to finish.I call Electrolux customer service and they gave me 3 service companies to contact. We had one of them come and check out the unit and it never got to the temperature he entered on the unit and call Electrolux and the customer service rep he reached said the convection function takes about 40 min to reached the desired temp. (So I can only guess the preheat function is not working, but 40 minutes really.) The service tech then tried again to preheat the convection function and redid it for a 1/2 hour with no luck and call Electrolux a 2nd time that day. The customer service rep said that my expectation for this microwave were too high. Also the customer service rep pointed out to me that the manufacture date on the unit is 2015 and I purchased it in August 2017 so he suggested that I contact Electrolux again and tell them that I am not satisfied with the microwave which I did.The customer service rep did confirm to me that there was a note on file of my issue and said she would contact someone about my dissatisfaction with the microwave and get back to me the next day. No one called me back and I patiently waited and then finally called them back 2 weeks later and was basically told there is nothing wrong with the microwave and there is nothing they can do. I will never purchase another Electrolux convection/grill microwave and will purchase a Panasonic next time.

I purchased an Electrolux double ( EW30E65GS8) 5 years ago. The top oven developed a crack in the floor which you can see the heating element. I contacted Electrolux who stated that they no longer manufacture the part. I contacted the dealer who states that I have recourse but to purchase another oven. There was no help available from Electrolux. Even some price reduction for purchasing a new oven. Disappointed with the entire process.

I bought an Electrolux refrigerator piece of crap in April of this year and Ive had nothing but trouble with it. Right now its showing that refrigerator is off. I cant get it to come back on and so my food is spoiling. Of course it has to happen on a weekend and no one can come out here and fix it. I havent unplugged it several times and plugged it back in hoping that would fix the problem but of course that didnt work. Whatever you do, please do not buy anything from Electrolux. Unless you want to buy an appliance thats not going to work, then of course you should buy it Electrolux.

I purchased the Electrolux 32 Built in Freezer and Fridge in June 2016... after remodeling my kitchen and buying all new appliances. I decided to spend a little more for the built in freezer/fridge... what a big mistake... HUGE!! After 3 weeks, my Built in Freezer quit working. I contacted Electrolux and they sent a technician out 5 days later. The technician told us he would contact Electrolux. After waiting over almost two weeks the repairman came back out with what he thought was a fix. Unfortunately, for us, it caused the freezer to climb temperatures that were worse than before. We called Electrolux again, and they sent the same company back out to do the repair. Once again... that did not work. Once again, I contacted Electrolux. They sent out the repairman again, it was fixed by the technician who said, Im pretty sure this fixed it. Sadly, it failed again. So once again, I called. It was fixed again and worked for almost 2 months... only to find that again, I had soft ice cream and meats. Once again, I call and I am not happy. After all this and being told over and over (as I now find this seems typical for their customer service) is the repairman must deem the repair unrepairable in order for them to replace the appliance. Once I finally had another technician to my home, he indeed said that the repair was deemed unrepairable, and told Electrolux the same.Once I called Electrolux back and told them this, they said even though he deemed it unrepairable, our IT guy did not, so we are requiring him to repair it. So once again, I have gotten the run around from Electrolux. They came and repaired it now 5 times. (I called them today so it will be 6.) I have lost frozen goods, twice and now... I will end up losing frozen foods again... because its currently not working. My freezer is now only 3 months old. This is unbelievable to me. I based my decision on what my appliance company said about their refrigerator/freezer and sadly, I am hugely disappointed. I have never, ever had an experience this awful. As a matter of fact, I have never, ever written a complaint. Unfortunately, I had to write my experience to make sure the next buyer was savvy enough to find these reviews helpful with their next decision. I will never ever buy a product that has the name Electrolux on it after this experience.

Two years ago bought 4 appliances from Electrolux and all are the worst quality products I have ever owned. The Microwave has been serviced 4 times, the door shattered and the Warranty repair person broke the vent and he said it was not his problem as Electrolux stand behind it. The refrigerator cost $3600 had to be replaced for rust, the stove had sharp edges around the components and they had to send a man to file the edges in my home. The dishwasher simply does not wash the dishes and often simply stays on during the drying cycle. Customer service is polite, but does not have the ability to stand behind their product, so essentially there is no service or recourse for issues. I write this to warn you from buying this companys products.

We purchased an Electrolux French door refrigerator five years ago. It is now dead, as a problem with the ice maker caused the back of the refrigerator to completely rust out. I researched the issue and saw that this has happened dozens or hundreds of times with Electrolux refrigerators. I tried to get some satisfaction from the CEO, Alan Shaw, but he would not take my call, hiding behind a woman named Rita. They did offer me a 25% rebate on a new Electrolux product, but I would think since it is a known problem, and the unit only lasted 5 years, I would get a rebate of 65-75%. I was shocked when Rita told me that Electrolux refrigerators only last for 5-7 years. I don’t think I have ever had a refrigerator last less than 20 years. I have a new slogan for Electrolux - “buy an Electrolux - they only last 1/2 as long as the competition. Obviously, I will never buy another Electrolux product and I would encourage you to avoid them at all costs. They have no interest in customer satisfaction.

I purchased Electrolux dishwasher and refrigerator in 2010. We have had nothing but problems. We took out a warranty plan (THANK GOD). Our refrigerator did not make ice, and after 4 visits was replaced in 2013. The new refrigerator makes ice but all in the wrong places. We have had repair come out 4 times now to fix it (it should have been replaced, but due to the 1 year warranty with Electrolux, warranty company is stating that this is only the 3rd visit and they will attempt to try and fix the problem they couldnt fix the 1st 3 times. Repairman stated that in order to fix our Refrigerator we would need to thaw it for 21 hours before he can repair (think of all the circuits rusting). Dishwasher has had 3 motor replacements since 2010. I renewed another warranty plan as the motor goes out every year. We are totally disgusted with our Electrolux products.

In 2010, I purchased $10,000 worth of appliances from Electrolux. My side-by-side refrigerator has been an issue since day one. The hydrator in my refrig freezes everything I put in it. I have had it looked at over 4 times. My dishwasher constantly leaks and I have had it repaired over 3 times. My microwave takes twice as long to heat anything as my old $200 microwave. Dont waste your money. Electrolux makes horrible products.

We bought this beautiful refrigerator last year. My husband was taken with the lighting and didnt mind that it was a bit pricey ($3,500). The problem is... it doesnt make enough ice. The ice maker itself is in the top refrigerator area, its a little 7 x 7 box so if I fill a glass with ice, it empties it and it takes 90 minutes to put out another tray. I empty it into zip lock bags during the day as a back up because my husband goes insane every night when he tries to get ice and its empty. We had the ice maker replaced, and the filters changed. Its just too small to keep up. It would be great if you purchase a separate under counter ice maker (at $2,000). We thought because it was an Electrolux, it would be great, we were wrong. I blame Kelly Ripa.

This Range/Oven had all the features I was looking for. Besides looking great, the range has a fast boil feature which saves a lot of time. The oven is convection and has a roast mode which was high on my must have feature list. Oven consistently cooks evenly. Overall this Range/Oven is a wonderful addition to my kitchen. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for this appliance.

We purchased Electrolux dishwasher, electric range, and fridge; have had for 4 years. First the ice maker handle broke. I ordered one from Electrolux thinking it was out of warranty. Later I found we had purchased extended warranty. By this time, the digital display on the range was not working so we called for service repair. We purchased from Lowes so their service company was A&E. They came, looked at the stove, and said they ordered a control module which I disagreed with. I said it needed the clock display module, but who was I to argue because I am not an appliance repair person, but I am a General Motors and Subaru master technician. I discussed with the service person that I had already paid for and installed a new ice maker control module not realizing it was still under warranty. So I proposed to him, “You order me a new ice module as I still have the old broken one to turn in under warranty. You can tell your company you replaced it. If you like, just leave the new module with me because if it’s broken this soon it’s bound to break again.” So the parts come and so does a different repair person. He gives me the ice module and then shows me the control board which I tell him is not the right part, but he says he is going to install it anyway. He tells me he has never worked on an Electrolux. To make long story short, he broke my cook top, had to order a new cook top, and he also ordered the clock module that I knew was the problem. They never did get the cook top mounted correctly and now my icemaker is broken again. The water and ice will not shut off, so I get the new ice module and install it...It’s junk right out of the box. I called Electrolux; they could care less...DO NOT BUY THESE APPLIANCES.

I purchased a 48-in duel fuel range in 2009. The range was not properly wired, and I have had nothing but problems. My range was actually built by Dacor but that is not the problem. The problem is Electrolux. I have made numerous calls to Electrolux to ask for assistance, request diagnosis of problems, and to try to locate repairmen. Nothing. I finally found a local repairman who has beaten a path to my house from his shop. The latest problem is a circuit board that controls the small oven. That oven inadvertently switches to broil during baking and needless to say, I burns food to a crisp. The repairman has called Electrolux, Electrolux acknowledges the problem because it has happened numerous other times to other people. It is an Electrolux problem, and Electrolux still will not warrant that part which is costly. I have never been offered an extended warranty on my range, but if I were, I would certainly collect all the costs associated with this piece of equipment and get rid of it. Viking or Wolf would certainly be better than the inefficient products Electrolux puts out. Buy Electrolux at your own risk.
