I bought 4 gallery products in June 2019 (Fridge, Cooker, Dishwasher, and Microwave oven), so its just about 3 months. The dishwasher came up with an ER error code at the end of August 2019 and I called Electrolux and they sent in a Tech who came and reset a board. Just about 2 weeks after the first incidence same happened again and it is over two weeks now since I complained and am unable to use to product I bought. The Agent I spoke with two weeks ago said theyd order a new board to replace the faulty one and yesterday when I called for a follow-up he said it might take months (up to 6 months)!!!! I will seek some legal protection if I need to because I feel really being taken advantage of here; even with my extended warranty. Customer service is horrible. Tunde

Over 3 years ago, we replaced our kitchen with all new Electrolux appliances. Since then the bottom freezer, French door refrigerator has had the ice maker replaced 3 times and repaired many more. For the first 6 months we owned it, the ice maker did not work. Electrolux kept sending incomplete/incorrect parts to the repairman and they still would not give us a new refrigerator. After the warranty expired, we purchased the extended warranty for $350+ per year, for two years, then we stopped. The ice maker has broken again; we spent $450 for a repair this week and it still doesnt work and now they want another $250 for another part.We are beyond angry; we are exhausted by this refrigerator, process, company. We have decided No More! and for now will make ice in trays while I go out to every store in town and begin researching the products, companies and service records to buy a new refrigerator. It is a very sad day in America when American companies treat their citizens this way and we will absolutely never purchase another Electrolux or Frigidaire product. They should be zapped with a fine, like automakers, etc.

Purchased top of the line Electrolux dishwasher in 2010 (cost a fortune) and have cursed the dishwasher each and every time I took the dishes out after washing. Nothing ever came out sparkling clean from the first day I used it. The water never was hot enough because the dishwasher didnt have a heating coil to heat the water to a temperature that would give excellent results. I dropped the extended warranty and prayed and hoped it would break down and sure enough 6 years later it did just that. It was the happiest day of my dishwashing life. I promptly went out and bought a Kitchen-aid mid-range dishwasher with 3 drawers. An upper flat rack for utensils and the dishwasher is wonderful. No more Electrolux for me ever.

I purchased a $3000 Electrolux EWF01 refrigerator March of 2014. In July of 2014 it stopped working. I went to Home Depot where I purchased it and received outstanding customer service. They gave me a loaner and delivered it the same day so I would not lose my food. Thanks Home Depot. Electrolux sent me a new refrigerator (same model) in I believe it was November of 2014. It is September 2016 and the sealing strip around the freezer is falling off and the trim is cracking. I called Electrolux and was advised the best they can do is give me a list of certified repair companies in my area. The poor ice maker by reading the reviews is apparently well known now. I would not recommend purchasing this product at any price.

I recently assisted a family member in a recent kitchen remodeling project
I recently assisted a family member in a recent kitchen remodeling project that included the selection and purchase of several new appliances. A new gas range was one of three appliances acquired. The Electrolux Icon was selected and purchased as it appeared to be well-made, and loaded with features and desirable accessories. Unfortunately, immediately after the range was installed, the oven failed to operate correctly causing a need for a service call before it could be used the first time. (Timing is everything: The new range was installed days prior to Thanksgiving and when it proved to be not functioning, plans for the holiday had to be adjusted.) Because the Icon was purchased from Sears (no local Mom and Pop appliance store carried the Icon product line nor could order it), Sears was called for repair service. Several days later, the repairman arrived, and soon he made up a list of parts that would need to be replaced. He also advised us that the parts were not available locally and that it would take 10 to 12 days before they were available. This seemed to me to be an excessively long lag time to wait for parts, so after he left, I called Electrolux and spoke with a customer service representative who was very well trained, and very knowledgeable. I learned several facts that all owners of Electrolux MUST consider, especially if the appliances were purchased from Sears. First, DO NOT CALL SEARS FOR SERVICE! Sears contracts out service repair calls to A&E, and, I was told, Electrolux no longer has a business relationship with A&E due to A&Es poor workmanship. Instead, CALL ELECTROLUX and ask for the name of the certified repair shops in your geographical area. Second, choose a repair shop from the list provided by Electrolux. Document, document, document! Once the technician has identified the parts that are needed for repair, get the names of the parts and if possible, the parts numbers. The reason for this suggestion is simple: It is possible that the repair shops parts distributor may have a 10 to 12 day lag time before parts are provided. Not having a functioning appliance for a 2 to 3 week period is excessive, I would suggest. Therefore, with the parts name and number, call Electrolux directly, order the parts, and have them shipped directly to your home address. Schedule the repairs with the service repairman, by all means, but do not be held hostage by a supply chain that does not provide for faster service than the prescribed 10 to 12 days. In the case of our Icon oven, after calling a recommended repair shop, and they had completed their own diagnosis, the part was found to be readily available, and the repair was completed 24 hours later so it was not necessary for the part to be ordered from Electrolux. Interestingly, the Sears/A&E repairman had identified two parts that needed to be replaced whereas the recommended service technician identified a total of one part. Draw your own inference to this fact. Having gone through this experience, I have learned that there is a big difference between an appliance manufacturers sales channels and its back of the office service channels. If possible, try to identify a retailer that not only sells a product, but stands behind it with its own service department (and not contract out its repair services to an A&E type vendor). And remember that just because a retailer can sell a product, there is no reason to infer that they have the ability to service it. Also, the retailers ability to sell an extended service agreement has no bearing on their ability to service the product with qualified technicians.

My 15 year old machine packed up just before Christmas. Given that my sons family of 5 were to stay with me for 2 weeks of the holidays, I decided to buy a new machine rather than have the old one fixed. Nowadays its difficult to check machines out in showrooms, so looking online, I ordered an Electrolux front loader from Home Depot. Free installation and theyd remove the old machine at no cost. Great. Id get it taken care of before the family arrived. The machine worked for the first couple of times, but after a few days, stopped spinning. By this time, Home Depot had washed their hands of me because it was beyond their 48 hour return policy. I contacted Electrolux to request either a new machine, or my money back. They insisted on sending out a technician, who, called the support department to be informed the office was closed for the holidays.I contacted Electrolux again who said theyd send out another technician. I explained that I didnt want a 2 week old machine repaired, I either wanted a new one or my money back. Of course, this wont happen and I have to have another technician review the machine. I have now been waiting for this to happen, and calls to the support department go unanswered. In the meantime, I am becoming very familiar with my local laundromat, and so far have spent at least $100 on using their machines. Now my family has left, I have 6 lots of bedding waiting to be laundered. I cannot believe Im in this situation. I dont know where to turn to next. I think I have been treated despicably and dont feel very good about it.

Our new home came with Electrolux appliances, which I thought was great. Not so much. My dishwasher buttons are smearing off (Model EI24ID81SS) and the button board requires unplug and replugging when the button board freezes. My wall oven has (EW30EW55PS) has a temperature probe that worked for the two times I used it, and does not work. My microwave (EW30SO60QS) creates steam on the buttons, which have already malfunctioned for 4 months where the time or timer just didnt work. I have to leave my microwave open to make sure the steam for using the microwave does not break the buttons. The gas stove top (EW36GC55PS) didnt ignite one of the burners after 1 month of use so I had to manually grab a lighter & ignite the burner for use. Ive never had so many issues from one brand. The only 1 star is for their aesthetic appearance.

I read a lot of reviews that stated when they called Electrolux, they were told to buy the extended service plan. I have new appliances under warranty and have had to call Electrolux on both the refrigerator and the dishwasher in the first six months. (this should tell you something about their product..) I was very disappointed both times that the next available appointment was 10 days out! This last time I called on because my ice-maker was not working. I waited the 10 days and a technician arrived to fix the problem. He switched out the pacemaker and left. The next day when I still did not have ice, I called to have them come back. They are still making me wait 10 days to get a technician out, even though they did not fix it right the first time! So do not worry about an extended warranty... just do not buy an Electrolux!

My husband and l completely remodeled our kitchen 5 years ago and wanted top of the line appliances. I thought by buying Electrolux appliances, l was making a good choice but soon realized l got rid of better appliances than what we had bought. I had always had Whirlpool appliances before and never had repairs. I have had problems with all four appliances and most recently am facing major repairs to the frig and microwave. I already had repairs to the dishwasher when two pumps had to be replaced and the range required a new circuit board. My extended warranty ended in March of this year so the expense will be on us not to mention the aggravation of getting top of the line appliances repaired AGAIN. I plan on contacting the company but according to the other complaints, l doubt if Electrolux will be of any help.

Where to begin. We purchased all of our Electrolux appliances when we built our new home. Fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. All Electrolux. We have had the induction stove in the past and loved it, so decided we would buy the same brand for all of our appliances. In the first few months of owning them we had problems with everything. The fridge ice maker gets clogged and leaks water. The microwave light stopped working and was replaced just barely under warranty. The new microwave control panel no longer lights up, therefore we cannot see what we are doing. It is now out of warranty and is apparently our problem. The dishwasher. Wow, what a disaster. It’s quiet and that’s about the only good thing going for it. It leaves the dishes wet no matter what cycle we put it on. We have replaced the control panel not once but twice under warranty and the one side still doesn’t work unless we bang really hard on it. It is now also out of warranty and they will not fix it. The washing machine detergent drawer doesn’t drain properly and always has water in it. The dryer is ok but the rubber gasket comes out all the time.We spent over $10,000 on our appliances. Appliances that are supposed to be “high end” but quite frankly, this company not only makes junk, they could care less about customer satisfaction or service. Being a business owner myself, I find this deplorable. I will never buy from Electrolux again and not even 3 years in to owning our appliances, we will be replacing both the dishwasher and the microwave as neither function to get their respective jobs done. Very disappointed. Save your money and buy another brand!

DON’T EVER BUY ELECTROLUX APPLIANCES! September 2015 is when we purchased a new Electrolux dishwasher to replace our very old dishwasher probably over 30 years old. Never had a problem with the old dishwasher. It served its purpose but could not run anymore. We were excited to buy a new dishwasher hoping that it would sanitize and clean dishes better. Since we got the new Electrolux dishwasher in September 2015, it has broken down 6 times. Also does not clean well and I rinse everything before I place in dishwasher. It’s only 2.5 years old. Called Electrolux over 20 times getting it repaired and begging them to replace the dishwasher because we were sold a lemon. Every time they denied replacing it. There are a few inconsiderate rude Electrolux agents that I talked to and lied to me. I have been lied to many times by Electrolux agents and they keep their stories straight. I record everything; calls, notes, confirmation numbers. Horrible customer service!

Our experience is very much in line with previous reviews from other people. We purchased a refrigerator for a tenants apartment in February. It broke in June and the run-around started. 5 on-site calls from technicians and the problem couldnt be solved. We meanwhile purchased another unit from a different manufacturer and Electrolux insist to send another technician. Never seen anything like this ever before (we probably purchased 50 or 60 refrigerators over the past years). The time wasted by us, the tenant, customer service staff and money for the technicians could have bought 5 top of the line appliances... Never again and I will take Electrolux to court. No way that we spend another minute to entertain another service call. We want our money back.

We bought the Electrolux washer and dryer that said it had fast wash and fast dry. We were planning to buy Samsung as we had this brand before and it worked great. We went to Bad Boys and they persuaded us to buy this brand mainly because of the fast wash and dry features. The washer was fine but the dryers fast dry feature does not work at all. Garbage. We told Bad Boys that we were not happy and they sent someone to take a look. They said that there was nothing wrong with it and that that is how it was. Purchased Electrolux washer/dryer from Home Depot late 2017 (product received in Nov. 2017). Issues started soon after purchase with the dryer, it was clogging with lint in the blower motor. Not even sure how this was happening, since these are lint making machines. Service came out and had no options on how to prevent this from occurring. Again other than to contact servicing and have them clean it out. Basically they take the machine apart to do this, not a job for ordinary folk. After speaking with Electrolux, and informing them of this continuing issue. Their response is to continue calling for warranty/servicing. The big question was what if this issue persists beyond the one year manufacturing warranty, Electrolux response... “purchase extended warranty”. Are you kidding me!!! That’s when I contacted Home Depot head office. Their response to this issue was much of the same. I can’t believe either one of these entities could live up to their product (Electrolux) or service (Home Depot). This issue should resolved by a replacement or a full refund.Things to keep in mind, these service requests take up time during working hours cause warranty company doesn’t work after hours or weekends. So we have to take time off work each and every time a service is requested. Other option is to cut my losses and dump these machine and buy new ones. Even after a year of ownership. Extremely disappointed with both Electrolux and Home Depot Canada.

We purchased a glass top range and had it for 3 weeks when the problems started. It started with beeping and then F11 on the control panel. So no oven for a week until repair man came. Again no oven for 2 weeks until he replaced the control panel and within days the problem started again. So another parts replacement and no oven for weeks. Now the problem started within hours and another replacement, so 3 repairs and still not working. After 3 months of repairs, no oven or stove as if it was plugged in it would continuously beep loudly Electrolux replaced the stove. So now a month with the new stove and its not working, continuous beeping and no buttons work.Tried calling to speak with a supervisor and no luck just the same (we really dont care attitude). So now back to all the stress and frustration and months of repairs. If anyone knows how to get a hold of a supervisor as customer services keeps telling us the supervisors will not take the phone would help. It amazes me that a company that is kept going by its consumers doesnt really care about its consumers. What happens when they have no consumers as they went to someone who actually cares about them. How many companies are no longer around because they lost all respect and confidence by their buyers.

I have been waiting 6 weeks for my washer to get fixed. I can’t seem to get anyone in the warranty customer service department at RC Willey to tell me at what point I will have a working washer. The repair company has been out three times to repair the washer with no success. Prior to this I had the dryer fixed 2 times using the Electrolux first year warranty and one time through the RC Willey Warranty. Each repair takes a minimum of 2 weeks to complete. The washer/dryer set is 2 years old. I have contacted Electrolux and they said I have a parts warranty but will have to pay out of pocket if I don’t use the warranty. What is the point of purchasing a warranty if you never have a working product? I’m trying really hard to understand why it is so hard to complete the repairs on the unit I have. If you sell a warranty you should stand behind it. I will never buy Electrolux again and most certainly will never purchase anything from RC Willey. Extremely disappointed in both companies.

I bought a Electrolux refrigerator in 2011. The refrigerator is a $4,000.00 piece of junk. Not only is it a product with multiple issues, one being a fire hazard, 2 the ice maker never worked properly. And the customer service is even worse than the product. I called to have the ice maker repaired but when the repairman came, he said, there was nothing he could do because he didnt see a problem. The fire hazard - is that the lighting unit burnt a hole right through the liner. Which I called on and they told me I was out of warranty and that they never heard of that particular problem BUT lucky for me, they sold a repair kit for the particular problem! LOL, really?I decided to contact the BBB because I refused to give Electrolux a dollar of my money. I had communication with Electrolux learning that the refrigerator liner was still under warranty. Or misleading me to believe it was under warranty. Their words were the cabinet liner, compressor, and something else had a 2-5 year limited warranty. With that letter in hand I contacted Electrolux and they agree to send a repair person out to repair the liner but if it was considered to be cosmetic that I would be responsible for the charges. I thought to myself, how in the world could they find this cosmetic? It is a fire hazard and clearly a factory defect. The repair main showed up to my house a couple days later and told me that it was not fixable. Armed with the same letter from Electrolux I gave him a copy of it. He said OK this clearly states you are covered for under warranty and I putting in a request for a new one. But dont hold my breath because its his experience that Electrolux doesnt honor their contracts. They always stick the customer with the bill. And as far as the burn hole, he has seen it many times and is very common for it to happen with their product. They of course did not honor their contract. They refused to cover anything. And deny that its covered because they deemed it cosmetic! Horrible company. Hopefully no one has to die before recalling this fire hazard.

We bought our French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator in October 2009 as a result of upgrading and remodeling our kitchen. The installation did not occur until April/May 2010 and we had problems with a leaky ice maker, intermittent making of ice, noisy clicking doors, and notification of expired air filters after 3 months of use. We called one week after the 1 year of purchase anniversary date and they told us our warranty had expired. We called customer service in 2012 and 2014 to express our dissatisfaction with all the problems that continued. They had a log of all our calls and still did nothing to make the refrigerator function correctly. After spending $3,600.00 for a high end refrigerator and have a lemon at that, Electrolux took no ownership for their problems. In January of 2015, the ice maker stop functioning all together. The service tech advised us this past week, there have been over 9 updates of the model we bought and there have been numerous faulty issues from Electrolux. It seems that this is a common problem and there are many consumers with the same complaint with this appliance. Why cant we all pursue a Class Action Suit? There are some of us that remained quiet and didnt scream loud enough and now we have the consequence of a lousy functioning refrigerator. By the way, the display on the temperature started to disappear in 2014. The technician states I need to spend $1,000.00 to purchase 2 kits to bring my refrigerator up to par (and since DAY 1 it has never worked correctly). Also, there is no guarantee after 90 days something else will break. This was the worst purchase of an appliance we ever made. Today the customer service corporate manager failed to help us make this situation go away and failed to assist the consumer to feel right about a costly purchase that never worked. There needs to be a better way to alert the public about Electrolux quality. There are too many of us as unsatisfied consumers with the same flawed design refrigerator complaining about Electrolux not taking action on their substandard appliances and for NOT doing the right thing.

However, can be fixed for $1,200 for parts and labor. Wait, I only bought this 22 months ago for $899. Now the fun, Electrolux says that it will warranty parts and that I can pay for the labor. Again, top of the line machine should of lasted at least 5 years, not 22 months!! Frigidaire washer made by Electrolux stood the test of four teenagers, dog blankets, horse blankets, etc., but the more expensive top of the line model could not stand up to two senior citizens doing normal washes, with the wife doing all the appropriate cleanings on machine. Bottom line, if I did not have the stackable set I would of not replaced it with this piece of junk. Even wife says the first machine did not clean the clothes properly, not enough water, and ran far beyond time for a load of wash. Recommendation: Stay away from the Electrolux line. Read the other comments about water, service, etc. They are not going to help and the new machine to replace was even more than the first one. No discounts, no credits. Nothing from Electrolux. Dont buy is our recommendation!

Electrolux FFHT2117LWO over-under refrigerator: This was a replacement for our old one under a utility company energy program. It has run OK, but you cant turn the defrost off, and it seems to run a lot. The handles are our biggest problem. We had to remove the bottom door handle because we hit our heads on it a lot-- opening from the left. It seems to be in just exactly the wrong place. Then, when youre rummaging in the main frig cabinet and straighten back up, POW you hit your head on the freezer handle, very painful and the handles have sharp edges, too. I have thought about removing their awful handles and making my own which curve up, from the bottom of the freezer door. They are not reversible. Emails to Electrolux customer service have gone without response.

We purchased this model (EI23BC35KS4) about 8 months ago and have had no issues with it. I think that unfortunately many of the other reviews here are referring to older models. This particular model has LED lighting, which I assume must have solved the issue of the incandescent bulbs 'blistering' the plastic because ours doesn't seem to have that problem. I also think the design of the upper ice machine has been improved because ours works just fine. However a few seconds after you dispense ice, there is a flap that must close to keep the ice maker cool, and if you open the door too soon the machine will beep until you close the door and the flap can shut. It is a very minor annoyance. Overall we are very happy with our purchase and would recommend this fridge, and would also recommend that people stop expressing their hatred of other models through reviews of this model!

We bought this beautiful refrigerator last year. My husband was taken with the lighting and didnt mind that it was a bit pricey ($3,500). The problem is... it doesnt make enough ice. The ice maker itself is in the top refrigerator area, its a little 7 x 7 box so if I fill a glass with ice, it empties it and it takes 90 minutes to put out another tray. I empty it into zip lock bags during the day as a back up because my husband goes insane every night when he tries to get ice and its empty. We had the ice maker replaced, and the filters changed. Its just too small to keep up. It would be great if you purchase a separate under counter ice maker (at $2,000). We thought because it was an Electrolux, it would be great, we were wrong. I blame Kelly Ripa.

I will pitch in with a control panel complaint too. I had to replace panels or boards, and the clock control. It cost me about $1,000.00 to get it sorted. This on a range less than 4 years old. We expected it to last at least 8 years. And it was expensive. The repair folks indicated they see a lot of condensation problems. Electrolux hasnt got a handle on this. I contacted Electrolux and they initially seemed helpful, but they were just stringing me along. They said they would give me a reduction if I bought a new one. Right! I cant hardly afford the repairs on the one I have let alone spending another 2 grand on a new range. Stay away folks, stay away!

I purchased a house with Electrolux Icon appliances. In the first two months, the ice maker required four service calls to get working reliably; the microwave required one to the get door aligned so it would operate, and the dishwasher required two service calls. These were all paid for by Electrolux. After 18 months, the dishwasher is now giving the error 1 code, which appears to very problematic and difficult to diagnose/repair, and one burner on the stove smells like gas, even when it is on, rendering it unusable. At the prices that these appliances cost, one would expect them to run when new, and to last more than 18 months.

When adjusted, the washer made very loud loud noise from rattles, belt rubbing, etc. We thought Electrolux was the top of the line, however, it’s just a terrible product. I purchased a Front loader Electrolux brand washer and dryer on February 19 from Home Depot for a Presidents Day sale. I was given a delivery date on March 3. Four days before they were supposed to deliver, Electrolux called me and asked if they could deliver on March 31, because my dryer was back ordered and they would only deliver them together. I told them that was very inconvenient because I had no other washer and dryer and I had a 6 month old baby. I asked them what I should do. They told me to call Home Depot. Home Depot was helpful, they said they would reimburse me $300 the cost it would be for laundry service. On March 28, I called Electrolux to make sure they were delivering my washer/dryer on the 31st. They told me that again my dryer was backordered and they would not be delivering it until May 16. They said there was nothing they could do that I would have to contact Home Depot for any help. I asked if they were planning on just not calling me and letting me sit around all day waiting for my delivery to not happen and she said, Well, we try and contact our customers but we dont always get to everyone. Needless to say, Im fuming angry and I am going to try and cancel my order and find something else.

5 year old E23BC68JPS (ICON 36 Refrigerator) freezer door jam - From the time we purchased this refrigerator, the freezer door assembly has been problematic. First the gasket around the freezer was defective, which was covered under warranty. Now after 5 years of very moderate use (just my wife and I), the freezer door track has jammed. There is no service in the Monterey Bay area, and it will take up to 2 weeks to get someone out here from another area to look at it. We loved the design of the fridge when purchased, but after only 5 years, this should not have happened. It is a clear reason for the money that we should have stepped up to the Miele as all of the Miele appliances we have are substantially higher quality. We will not be purchasing another Electrolux appliance in our lifetime...

When I moved into my home in 2015, I bought a suite of Electrolux appliances: french door refrigerator, dishwasher, range. The refrigerator is so poorly designed that I had it serviced 5 times in the first year for faulty icemaker in the main part of the refrigerator. Every time you opened the door, it warmed up and the ice thawed a bit and froze solid. 5 years later, the compressor died, and I have a pile of junk. The range oven doesnt heat properly, the dishwasher stinks inside, all the appliances came with heatshrunk plastic on all the surfaces that stripped the finish off when you removed it, the doors of each appliances had dents. I am disgusted with the lot, and have no recourse but to continue using them until I can afford to replace them. I am so sorry I wasted my money and my confidence in what I thought was a good brand. When you set the oven to a pre-heat setting the oven heats up to that temperature but it doesnt maintain that temp and the temp begins to fall. Called Electrolux and they recommended a repair company and they came. They replaced the heat sensor for over $200.00 in repairs. No fix. Then called another company on our own and he replaced the motherboard, still no fix. My wifes first cousin (with my help) took the oven out of the cabinet and he found that the heating element at the bottom of the oven burnt up. Replaced that heating element and now the oven works just fine. Electrolux wanted to sell me an extended warranty on the oven for $500.00, not solving the problem. Im on my 3rd replacement Electrolux refrigerator. This replacement is an Electrolux French Door refrigerator. It has been seen by two different Electrolux appointed certified repair shops. The problem is the interior casing is melting near the top 2 bulbs. Both repairmen from different repair shops said that they have been seeing this problem, and that some have heated to the point of serious damages. I was told by both Electrolux repairmen, that the problem was irreparable, and reported it as so to Electrolux. Electrolux disagreed with both repair shops. Electrolux continues to try to send a repair shop, to agree to do the repair their way. Electrolux continues to evade the big problem of fire, and continues to be inconsistent with its responses to me. Last week, they said it is absolutely irreparable, and this week, left a message on my machine, that denied the replacement, in lieu of some Epoxy to do a cosmetic repair. What about the high heat from the bulbs? What about the repair shops that deny this resolution? Is this a fire hazard or not? I still have warranty.

We bought a $3700 refrigerator for our new home, the ice makers kept breaking. I was told I would get a $500 rebate from Electrolux if I bought this model! At Northern Appliance in Braintree is where I was told this and it was on the card on the Refrigerator. I got a service contract for 4 years! Ice maker defects computers replaced. After the first refrigerator I had only 1 and 1/2 years the ice makers died, it was covered by the contract, this was top of the line. After Electrolux told me it was being replaced I called a company to take it away. They said they kept it for themselves. I got the replacement and it was a used or way less value Refrigerator. I called. They said that is what I get! If you can believe it 2 more defective refrigerators and a quote a few service calls from Apollo appliance Brockton Ma. They are very good! The one I have now the ice maker is still broken. I was told the motor is too close to the ice maker, melts it in the back and it breaks. This is unacceptable for an expensive refrigerator. Purchased an Electrolux dishwasher in June of 2014. Have never really been happy with the response of the digital controls, but since we paid almost $1000 figured I would have to grin and bear it. Had to have a service last year because of error code .30. Tech explained that this very seldom happens, but he fixed it and went on his way. Everything was okay until about three weeks ago when the same code came up and you could hear something like water running in the machine. Called repair and they evaluated and advised that repair would be almost $500. At this point I have almost paid 2/3 of the cost of the machine again! Contacted Electrolux and gave them all the info; the repair service furnished to them what would be necessary to repair and the cost of repair.Electrolux is investigating and will get back to me. In the meantime, I have 17 people coming for Thanksgiving with no dishwasher. The service tech indicated this is just representative of any appliance you purchase now. Where did pride in a quality product go? If for no other reason, we need to get manufacturing back in our country in hopes of a different quality outcome. Bottom line: Can you intervene with the manufacturer, which in this case is Electrolux, to help consumers like me?

My husband and I own a small business. Our employee scratched our customers brand new stainless steel refrigerator door. I called to order a replacement door panel. Upon receiving the part we installed it and noticed it had a light colored stripe running down the middle of the door that looks different than the rest of the refrigerator. I called customer service back right away. I sent them a picture and they tried to tell me it was like a piece of wood. That no two pieces of wood are alike. Really? How is a piece of wood and a piece of stainless steel the same? This door panel was less than quality and no one would purchase a refrigerator like that in the store. They tried to downplay and undermine the situation, making me feel like I was being unreasonable. All I wanted was to make my customer happy and her to have her refrigerator looking new again. I finally got them to agree to refund the door but they wouldnt send a new panel without receiving the other part back, so I agreed to pay for another one to be shipped. That way our customer wasnt without a fridge door in the meantime. I was told they would contact us in a few days to pick up the defective door. I also asked them to call me directly to handle the return. Instead, they called our customer the very next day and scheduled the pick up for Monday. We hadnt received the second door panel yet so I told them we werent ready to swap them out yet. They proceeded to tell me it was too late to stop the request since they had already sent it through but that UPS would leave us a shipping label. Yesterday was Monday and no shipping label. Today I called them again and they informed me to call UPS. UPS is not even aware of any labels and advised me to contact them again. I have now been told that I will have to pay the shipping plus a restocking fee for a piece of ugly metal that is below what the standard should be for a door on a refrigerator that cost close to $3K. Every single person I have spoken to has given me a different answer. The manager I spoke to tonight was rude and insensitive. They do not care about making the customer happy. They will just take your money and blow you off. It is looking like I may be out the money for the other door panel. I am afraid even if I pay the money to ship it back, they will just come up with another story as to why they cant refund me. Unbelievable! Stay far away from this company!!

I purchased a Frigidaire freezer in 2007 and, three years later, I purchased an Electrolux Extended Warranty (service contract). During the life of the Extended Warranty I called for service because my freezer was not getting as cold as it should and it was accumulating a lot of frost (not a frost free model). Electrolux sent out a, so-called, service technician who looked at it and told me that there was too much food in it and freezers should not be loaded over 50% of their capacity. I found other accommodations for the excess food, ensuring that the freezer was not loaded more than 50% but this did not fix the problem. I called for service again and Electrolux sent out a, so-called, service technician from the same company who had a different story this time, telling me that the drawers at the bottom of the freezer were not going all of the way back, impeding the sealing of the door.I couldnt see that the drawers were impeding the closing and sealing of the door but I defrosted the freezer anyway and discovered that the door seal was still not sealing and I could feel the cold air escaping from the bottom door seal when the door was closed. I called for service again and requested another appliance repair company to do the inspection/repairs because all I was getting from the company that they were sending was a lot of busy work for me which was not fixing the problem. They did send another inspector who took several pictures of the door and bottom seal and left with the comment that the door was misaligned.Several days later I received a call from Electrolux stating that their findings were that the misalignment was the result of consumer abuse of the door and they would not repair the door. I informed them that was absurd and an examination of the pictures that the technician took would show that the door was not damaged and there was no consumer abuse. They informed me that there were NO pictures accompanying the report and Electrolux was standing by their decision NOT to cover the repair of the door. How very convenient that the pictures that were taken which would make my case and refute their claim had just vanished into thin air!?!? I have filed a complaint with the BBB but Electrolux is sticking by their decision NOT to perform on its contractual obligations and they are doing it through deceit. I have also filed a complaint with the California Department of Consumer Affairs and the results of that one are pending. BUYER BEWARE when dealing with Electrolux Extended Service Warranties! Avoid Electrolux Washer and Dryers like the PLAGUE!!! They make horrible designs, and are deceitful and dishonest with their clients. I purchased two units from them in 2013 - a washer EIFLS55IMB and a dryer EIMED55IMB. The washer has been a disaster. First of all most of the components inside the washer are made in China which has a terrible reputation for quality. In my particular case the main pulley attached to the tub is constantly coming loose because the bolt that holds it on cant do the job. Over time the belt gets loose because the pulley wobbles on its axis and the washer cannot spin/rinse the clothes. Worse yet the pulley is designed so that the belt can easily slip off of it as there is no lip to keep it in place. When the pulley comes loose it often drags against the plastic tub... cutting into the tub itself until it eventually slices through it completely. The end result is catastrophic failure.I have had several repair people come over and do realignment of the pulley and belt but it keeps happening. Finally I went in there and took a look for myself and was astonished at what I saw. A complete and total design failure. Electrolux should not be trusted with any appliance purchases. Believe me this company will rip you off and not live up to their warranty commitment. Avoid them like the the plague or you will be sorry!Updated on 07/17/2015: I filed this first Consumer Affairs complaint against Electrolux listed below a few months ago. Well I now have confirmed that the grooves cut into my clothes washer tub by the defective tub pulley is causing water from the tub to splash inside the unit which then makes it way into the pedestal. All the circuitry and the control board for the washer have experienced corrosion as a result. It is a miracle there wasnt an electrical fire.

Our washing machine broke after less than two years. We were required to use their service provider and have had NO resolution for 5 WEEKS! New parts ordered and many service appointments. Electrolux refuses to replace our machine which is irreparable. Customer service has been totally unhelpful. We will never buy an Electrolux product again. VERY disappointed and STILL without a washing machine.

Update on 01/14/2019: Because we were provided with an additional year parts and labor by Electrolux, a service person came in today, January 14, and replaced the door seal. Within one hour the new door seal was leaking again. Being extremely frustrated with Electrolux and the continued issue with their washer I phoned their customer service, again, and asked to speak to a supervisor/manager. I was informed they have no program to allow for each to return their defective washer, I will have to talk to the dealer (Recker & Boerger). I informed the supervisor I did not accept her response and wanted to talk to her manager. I was informed the manager would contact me in 1-2 days. I’m furious about their defective product and the manager won’t talk to me... I have to wait. Great customer service. Out of sheer frustration I called Recker & Boerger, talk to a store manager who told me they “chose” not to take back products that have been in a home over 30 days... My advice... Stay away from any Electrolux products and Recker & Boerger in the Cincinnati area. Both have no concept of how to provide customer service. Amazing.Original: In July, 2017 my wife and I allowed a salesperson to talk us into a front loading Electrolux washer, we had always had top loaders. Also bought matching dryer and the risers for each. Nothing but trouble with both, numerous service calls on washer and dryer. The washer is loud, sometimes much awful noises, doesn’t fill immediately while making those noises, but the most recent “joy in owning an Electrolux” is the door is leaking. The door seal was replaced approximately 6-8 months ago and we just started noticing streams of water running down the front of the washer. And, because we have it on a riser, water runs into the drawer on the riser. I’ll be calling Electrolux on Monday, we’ll have another service call, might get repaired properly, and wait for the next surprise. If you live in the Cincinnati area, stay away from Recker & Boerger. Once they make a delivery...you’re on your own, talk to Electrolux. So much for customer satisfaction. Best advice I can give is stay away from Electrolux!

I ordered a Frigidaire fridge in March of 2018 and it was delivered in August 2018. Frigidaire stated my warranty on the day it was delivered. I had the ice maker fixed 3 times and it has never worked properly. Recently, it wont even turn on. I filed a BBB complaint and Electrolux responded by saying that my warranty had expired.

Purchased 10/31/09. Ice maker stopped working 6 mos after purchase. After 9 service calls, it is still not working. After 4 years, Electrolux offered to replace. I wanted a refund or extended warranty which they refused. When I decided to accept the offer, I was told it was no longer available. The freezer door handle is loose. The temp display is disappearing and there is a hole about 1 inch above the interior light where the paint is peeling. I suggest consumers with these problems contact the US Consumer Product Safety Commission at Cpsc.gov to file a report so we can get this unsafe product off the market and possibly get a refund.

I purchased a Electrolux washer and dryer in the fall of 2015 and it has broken 4-5 times. Each time it takes 2-3 weeks for repair. This August they replaced the drum, a plastic piece that goes around the drum and the bearings. Five months later the plastic piece has started leaking a lot. So I have been out of a washer for 2 weeks now... never have I had a washer break so much... I bought it because this was suppose to be the best. Boy were they wrong!Updated on 1/15/2018: I recently wrote a review on my Electrolux washer. It was leaking water and the service person came out and said a plastic piece that wraps around the drum had cracked and they had to replace the drum, bearings and the plastic piece all had just been replaced 5 months before. It took 2 months for them to replace them 5 months ago. For 2 months I was without a washer. They replaced the part Jan 4th. The drum and plastic piece were covered in rust which is why my clothes were getting rust on them. Well 8 days later the washer will not drain. This is the fifth time since I bought the washer 2 1/2 years ago that it has broke. The insurance company says the same Part has to break 5 times before they replace it. This is the 2 or 3rd time the pump has broke. For a high-end washer this washer has been nothing but broke.

I purchased a high end set of kitchen appliances (through Sears Canada) in 2009 - an Electrolux fridge and a top of the line electric range/oven. After 5 years, the fridge literally started to fall apart. The faux aluminum strips on the exterior of the fridge starting falling off and the ice making unit ceased working completely and the inside seal on the door was failing. Sears was very helpful but Electrolux was a complete and utter disaster to deal with. After investing a tremendous amount of time and energy in getting them to step up and deal with their inferior product issues, we were given a nominal credit towards buying another Electrolux fridge. Guess what? Within 9 months, we experienced similar product quality issues and made the decision to get rid of it and replace it with KitchenAid fridge which has been performing flawlessly since day one.Next, the oven stopped working. The burners were not functioning at all. Electrolux herded us over to a local service provider who indicated that this kind of problem was a common theme across the Electrolux high end oven product line. The service technician indicated that he would be unable to isolate the specific problem (we kept getting the e15 code of death). He recommended replacing a component for over $500 but warned us that there was a possibility that this would not necessarily rectify the problem - and if it didnt, we would need to spend a further $1100 to replace a circuit board of some sort. Guess what? The fix didnt work. We contacted Electrolux customer service and after numerous discussions they relented and offered us 20% off, as a sign of good faith, a new one. Really??? Do you actually think that I would buy another one of their products after 3 of them failed inside of 6 years? This is the worst, and I mean worst, product quality issue that I could ever imagine encountering. Never, ever, ever again.

Double Electrolux oven - Purchased this oven in 2006, almost immediately had outage problems. Every time I use them, and then clean them, they short-out. The fix was to install new motherboard, expensive computer problem. Electrolux says, Just dont use the self-clean feature. Ridiculous! I paid for that with the assumption it will work... Their warranty says that with 3 repairs for the same thing they will replace them. Ive had more than 12 service calls for the same problem but no replacement. I tried getting the number or address of one of the EXECS, they will not give it to me. I see today, they have won an award for the best oven design of the year 2015. What a joke. We purchased approx. $10K worth of new Electrolux appliances for our new home. The old home was blown away last year by a tornado. Purchased dishwasher, electric double ovens, electric cooktop, microwave oven, side by side refrigerator, and front load washer & dryer. All were top of the line that Electrolux offers. Dishwasher malfunctioned on first use. Sent out an error code #3. Was unable to contact Electrolux at the customer support site, so the wife called during working hours. The person she spoke with said turn it off at the breaker. That got the error code to go away, but it leaks out the front door now.Washer would not complete its cycle on its 1st, 2nd, & 3rd attempt. We got a service man scheduled to come out. Still having to do laundry at our daughters house. Tried to register my products online for over an hour, but their site would not complete the transactions. I find this product and customer support to be of poor quality even though it is marketed as top of the line. I would strongly recommend anyone to reconsider before buying Electrolux products. Oh yes, I tried to take their customer survey online, but that would not function either. Needless to say, I will never ever buy an Electrolux product again.

For the first year, refrigerator worked well. Then ice maker began filling to capacity every twelve hours. It had to be emptied every night before bed or it banged all night. Called Electrolux and told out of warranty. They offered to send qualified repairman for four hundred dollar fee (parts not included). Have a whole house warranty and they sent a repairman who replaced a circuit. Ice maker worked for two days, then started making malformed ice cubes. Another repairman sent who replaced entire ice maker. It worked perfectly for six months. Then ice maker stopped making ice. Told by Electrolux to replace both air and water filters which I did wasting about a hundred dollars. After two weeks, it miraculously started making ice. Then after one month IT STOPPED. I changed the filters again because the control panel said they needed to be changed. Wasted another hundred dollars. Followed every suggestion in manual and finally got seven ice cubes (half melted and in a block). Emptied them out, replaced ice drawer and a few hours later got one malformed cube and water leaking all over the inside of the refrigerator and the floor. Cleaned up the mess and stood in front of the dispenser door to keep an eye on the devil. It cycles after taking water for a drink or when it goes through the regular cycle and then leaks a half cup of water from dispenser tube which I have now equipped with a plastic Chinese soup container. Once again, I must be sure to empty it before I go to bed. I hate that refrigerator and the company that spawned it. Like others, I waited until I was older, retired and handicapped to fulfill my dream of the perfect kitchen appliance. THANK GOD, I DIDNT BUY THE STOVE!

Electrolux-Frigidaire 5 Cu Ft Freezer. I have gone round and round with them over my Freezer making a noise every 10 to 20 minutes. This sound is like a mechanical switch turning on at 63 Decibel. They shift the blame on my set up saying that if I had it on a carpet and something to absorb the sound, it would be less noticeable. They do not say the sound doesnt happen but as long as it is still freezing this is okay. I am very dissatisfied with this unit. Admitting it freezes. But the noise is very aggravating. Sams club freezer is $100 cheaper and totally quiet.

If it were possible to rate Electrolux with zero stars I would have done that. I have had a nightmare of an experience with my Electrolux front loader washing machine and this was a VERY expensive machine. The first machine that was delivered to me didnt work at all so that had to be removed and another new machine brought it. That second machine worked for about 10 washes and it went out. Not only was this completely inconvenient to be without a washing machine again, and realizing that this incredible expensive machine was completely unreliable, Working with Electrolux with the warranty to have it serviced was a total nightmare. The local company they used under the warranty to come out and service the machine took almost 2 weeks to get me on their calendar so I was without a washing machine for that amount of time and I just had to wait it out, per Electrolux (thats even after going to their customer service management). When the company came to service it, they determined that it needed FOUR MAJOR PARTS REPLACED, which included a new water sensor, a new motor, new motherboard, etc. I had this SECOND new machine for less than 45 days. Not only that, but 3 of the 4 parts that needed replacing were on backorder. Electrolux was AWFUL to deal with, their customer service kept hanging up on me or passing me around when I was trying to find a solution to this problem and eventually they told me that I had to wait it out and they would get someone to service it when the parts came in. I was the one inconvenienced by their unreliable product and they had zero sympathy for my situation (including the fact that Im extremely pregnant and about to have a baby any day). I regret buying an Electrolux appliance and hope this review reaches a lot of people so others dont go through the same nightmare Ive been through with this company.

About 3.5 years ago we totally remodeled our kitchen. We purchased a double oven, warmer, stove top, and two dishwashers. One dishwasher needed a pump replaced after six months. After the warranty expired both dishwashers started to develop problems. They would not totally drain. I had both serviced at different times and the same problem continues. The service mechanic called customer service to see if there was a recall and was told no and that they werent aware of a major problem. When running they are very silent but are not worth the problems or repair costs. I would not repurchase an Electrolux product again. Strongly considering returning dishwashers to front of store where purchased, calling the news media to watch me take a hammer to the items to show my dissatisfaction, costly but very gratifying.

I purchased my Electrolux french door refrigerator from sears in 2015 and have had problems ever since. It does not keep as cold as it should and randomly stops cooling. The thermometer on the door shows a constant 34 but a thermometer placed on the shelf shows approx 48 depending on the location in the fridge. Then randomly every couple months or so the high temp alarm will go off and the fridge gets warm. Technicians have replaced control boards and tested everything but cannot figure it out. Best they can tell the evaporator is freezing up but they dont know why. We have a mini fridge in our kitchen to keep our dairy and other delicate groceries in. We purchased an Electrolux french door fridge this summer. Our apartment was under construction so we were unable to connect it until this month. When we tried it did not work. We called Electrolux who informed us they would send a technician out right away. Because we do not have the receipt. They said they would honor a 9/15/2014 purchase date. The first technician never came so we called Electrolux again. They sent a second technician who also no-showed.When I spoke to the Electrolux representative for the fourth time I asked to speak to a supervisor. I asked the supervisor what my options are because Electrolux only contracts with 4 repair people in the entire New York City area and all 4 had 1-2 stars on all consumer review websites and 2 of them had already no-showed. I was hoping that we could hire a contractor we know is high-quality, can fix the brand, and is available and have that reimbursed, like going out of network for health insurance. The supervisor put me on hold for a long time--the entire call lasted 61 minutes. When she returned she told me they would no longer honor our purchase date and that because the fridge was manufactured in 4/2013 they would consider it purchased in 10/2013 and we were therefore out of warranty and there was nothing she could do to help us.We have been unable to locate the itemized receipt. Electrolux has offered to sell us a $600 3-year warranty. However, upon reading reviews of our purchase, everyone who has had this issue says it is chronic and never resolved. Dont make this mistake. The EI288S65KS6 does not work and Electrolux is a company that will not work with you.

I purchased a complete set of electrolux appliances just over 2 years ago. The main control panel on my stove burnt out 3 months after purchase. The ice maker on my refrigerator has been repaired 3 times and is now done for good. I have broken cheap plastic trim on my fridge doors and the handle on my microwave broke off last week. Their customer service department is HORRIBLE. Impossible to work with. After the last issue with our ice maker, the local repairman was instructed by electrolux to pull the fridge away from the wall and check to see if there was any frost on the back of the fridge. You should have seen it. Apparently the model I have, has an insulation problem, which is why the ice maker keeps freezing up and stopping. I was told they were going to replace my fridge with a brand new unit...different model of course. BUT...I was on the hook for the delivery and replacement fee...because I was out of warranty. After 5 phone calls arguing this point...they told me I would not get the fridge...unless I agreed to pay the fee. End of discussion. RIDICULOUS. They sell me a piece of crap and I still have to pay for it. Well...its been 2 months since they promised me a new fridge..and I was forced to agree to pay the $200 delivery fee.......and its still not here. I get weekly phone calls...telling me the same story....still not in stock...but they expect it any day. I will NEVER give Electrolux/Frigidaire another dime of my money. Their stuff is JUNK!!

We have already spent at least 20 hours following every Electrolux procedure to the letter, regardless of how inane the reasoning only to finally be denied a solution. It is the same story about the defective ice makers they designed and installed in thousands of refrigerators a few years back. Bottom line - We would pay for parts but since the ice maker cant be fixed there is nothing we can do for you. Yes we bought $6000 worth of Electrolux products when remodeled our kitchen and they made a defective product but its on us. Thank you very much. They said they dont care about negative Internet reviews because only unhappy people post - not happy ones. Brilliant! So, we vote with our wallet and words. In late 2008 we purchased an Electrolux refrigerator, glass cooktop, double oven, microwave & dishwasher. We bought all the appliances in late October 2008 but did not receive them until late November. We had been promised them within a week & were concerned we would not get everything in time for Thanksgiving as we were having family stay with us for the holiday. In any case, the refrigerator was delivered & set up while we were still living at our old house. It arrived with a dent in it. A very noticeable dent. We were told it might be several weeks to get the replacement. Everything was top of the line so not in stock in the store. Under the circumstances, we elected to keep it. However, when they installed the water line for the ice maker, they did not remove the plug so the water poured out all over our wood floors until we came to the new house the following day & were met with the mess & flood. Within just a few months, the dishwasher had to be serviced. Again, not a good sign but sometimes things happen. Shortly thereafter, the blue digital display on the double ovens had some lights stop working & the display was messed up. I called, I was told a part would be sent & when we received it, to call back & a repairman would be dispatched. The part did not arrive when expected, another bad thing, I called after a few days, giving ample time & was told the part had not been sent but now would be for sure. About a month later I received a part. I called for service. No one showed up. A couple of weeks later, I called again. I was told AGAIN that the repairman would come. A couple of days later, I received a SECOND part. No repairman. EVER. Anyway, the digital blue displays on the glass stovetop soon followed suit & stopped working as well. Now I have to guess what temperature I am really cooking things at. The only appliance with the Electrolux name on it that has not had an issue so far is the microwave. I hate to even say it, as I probably just jinxed it. The refrigerator is now not working at all. It kept turning off & on, off & on. Then it popped up a CE error on the beautiful blue display that I was once so fond of. We have ordered a part & my husband is saying he will install it himself, again. The top oven of the double oven stopped keeping the correct temperature about a year ago. For example, I can set it for 350 degrees but in actuality, it may not even be 125 degrees. I feel so disgusted that I spent all my retirement money to have the kitchen of my dreams & instead got the kitchen of my nightmares. Compounding my deep disappointment is the fact that I know I can never afford to buy all new appliances again AND that since we bought all of these items at the same time, they will probably all start falling apart at the same time. I bought the hype, I believed I was buying quality & I regret it & will regret it forever. In my blind faith, I bought the kitchen I wanted because I knew I would never ever have such an opportunity again to furnish my kitchen with top of the line state of the art appliances. Refrigerators, microwaves, stovetops, double ovens & dishwashers should all last longer than 5 years. That is just my humble opinion but it is also my humble opinion that I will NEVER purchase another Electrolux anything. I spent a small fortune on Electrolux products to have ALL of them, except the microwave, have issues right off the bat & have a top quality refrigerator fail within 5 years. Kelly Ripa should be ashamed of herself for making money off this terrible product.

Safety alert! Purchased this dryer from Sears in December 2017, and have experienced lint clogging problems in the fan assembly since then. Spoke with Rita ** at corporate, November 20, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. central standard time. She first asked what she could do to and I told her to pay for the parts I ordered or replace the dryer. I reviewed my original email message to her (Rita **) as she appeared to not have read it thoroughly. She stated that my installing the filter assembly lint clamshell (530451374) and the grill assembly lint with moisture sensor (5304515376) would void my manufacturers warranty. Even though the parts are newer models (for EFME627U) released after discontinuing my dryer model and would work by using longer mounting screws and transferring the original moisture sensor wire assembly, Electrolux would dismiss the unit and no longer honor the warranty. I stated that the engineers would be very happy to learn about the problem and the repair to correct using the newer design parts. I also asked Rita if she would like grandmothers or other elderly people to have to deal with the felt producing lint buildup in the fan assembly. I expressed concern regarding the high number of bad reviews of this dryer because of the lint problem. Rita promptly tried to tell me that the majority of the Internet reviews are negative at which point I cut her off and explained that I understand how the Internet works as I am an IT professional. People typically post detailed negative reviews when extremely frustrated or disappointed. Rita said something about posting good reviews and I told her that I do not post reviews for every service and item that delivers as expected. It is only the problems that need to be shared or those services or items that deliver in a much better than expected manner. Rita stated a minimum of three times that it was at my discretion to post negative reviews - even when I explained that they would be detailed. With all that said, are you certain that this direction is the one endorsed by Electrolux corporate? It is a great disappointment to me and I will need to spend more time to release the reviews as I do NOT want elderly people or others (think of your family and friends) to purchase such a problematic dryer. This dryer is the FIRST to exhibit these problems - even with washing and drying laundry containing MORE fur and lint with my previously owned, other branded, units. In all cases I am a fanatic about cleaning the lint screen and in the situation of the current Electrolux, stopping the cycle midway to perform an additional cleaning if I am drying whites (cotton based). Note that I also sent email messages to Alan Shaw and Jonas Samuelson receiving NO response or bounce messages (their email addresses are good). Will never purchase Electrolux products again.

I purchased a brand new built-in style Electrolux refrigerator and it arrived dead. A repair company sent by Electrolux identified the problem being there was no refrigerant, he then told me that my compressor will fail most likely within a year because it was run for a short time without the refrigerant and contaminated. Electrolux is fine to deliver dead products to their customers and will only offer to do repairs - not replace the fridge for a new one. Unfortunately, my compressor may fail outside of the warranty period and despite this being part of the refrigerant problem I will be forced to pay. I will never buy Electrolux products ever again.

Purchased very expensive two door stainless steel fridge from Electrolux 4 years ago - both doors have just started going rusty. Electrolux have told us we have to pay for a technician to come to our house and then they will probably not do anything to help us as it is out of warranty. We paid over $2500 for this fridge - do not buy from them. They are most unhelpful and sell faulty products. Our washing machine also stopped working in first 3 months - but that was under warranty - so they repaired it - after lots of headaches!

I purchased four Electrolux appliances in July of 2011. The appliances were delivered in July, but they were not in use until September or October. The appliances are infrequently used and no children live in the household. Since I started using the appliances, I have already had three service calls. First, back in November for the microwave; then in January for all four appliances. The third service call was on March 16 for the same appliances for the same problems, except for the microwave oven. This is rather shocking to me since I was under the impression that Electrolux appliances were supposedly better and higher performing kitchen appliances than many of the other brands. I previously owned a KitchenAid dishwasher and a low-end Kenmore range and refrigerator. Over a 10-15 year period, I had approximately two service calls for the range and refrigerator and dishwasher. All service calls were after the appliances were at least 5 years old. These appliances were exposed to high usage since there were children and more people living my home.On March 18, I noticed after baking a potato that condensation formed inside of the door of the microwave. Also, as I was cleaning the microwave, the outside stainless steel top panel over the door of the microwave is loose. It moves from side to side. I now have a fourth service call in to address this. It’s hard to believe that I am having so much trouble with all four of my Electrolux appliances that I purchased. I am very disappointed and unhappy that I spent extra money for such lousy performing appliances. The service calls are very time consuming and quite annoying. I have to take off considerable time from work to accommodate the service calls, not to mention how frustrating it is to deal with malfunctioning key appliances. I can only hope that my case is an exception and I hope that I have not been sold four lemons. Attached is a summary of my service calls.Microwave: Stopped working for several days. Service person could not find anything wrong, perhaps it’s an electrical surge issue. There’s a loose panel outside the top over the door. It will be addressed on next service call. I can’t remove stains on inside of stainless—no solution. Condensation buildup in door: this is not addressed yet. You have to press too hard on menu button.Range: Rubber gaskets on metal grates keep coming off. I was told that they sometimes melt. The gaskets are there, I believe, to keep the metal from rubbing against other metal. It was not fully addressed. It scratches easily—no solution. The gasket around menu panel came a part. Gasket was replaced.Refrigerator: Ice maker is not working and there is a knocking sound, condensation buildup, and the ice maker continues to make ice when full. Problem solved on first service call. The same problem reoccurred. Problem will be addressed on next service call. There is also loose screw found in refrigerator. That will be addressed on next service call.Dishwasher: It doesn’t clean dishes. What do I need it for? Solution: add dish detergent, add Rinse Aid, add Glass Magic and prime water leading to dishwasher. Most dishes are lightly soiled and they still don’t come clean, particularly the silver utensils. The stains are washed in rather than washed out. Top rack bottom joint keeps coming out of place. Problem addressed once by replacing the top rack. I’m not sure what will be done to address this problem again. I will discuss with the service rep when he comes on Monday, March 26. It takes a long time to get started. I sometimes have to press buttons several times to start the wash cycle—problem was not fully addressed.

We purchased - largely for being identical in appearance - the Electrolux dishwasher, oven, and microwave set for a remodeled kitchen. Heres my experience with all three, plus other info. Dishwasher 1: Simply did not clean dishes. Three warranty service calls did not fix. Replaced with the identical Electrolux dishwasher. Dishwasher 2 (replacement): Leaked water onto the kitchen floor, and made an amazingly loud and unacceptable noise in operation. Two warranty service calls did not fix the leak and could not diagnose the noise. Lowes took it back and we replaced it with a now out-of-place looking but functional Kitchenaid.Oven: Several of the blue bars on the lighted timer/temperature indicators are not fully functional at one year old (off warranty), so have to guess at temperatures and time. Very expensive to repair. Went through one temp. probe warranty repair (it was not connected internally at the factory). Troubleshooted and replaced a faulty second probe. The oven has twice stopped functioning, but I was able to get it operational by rebooting it (shutting off the appliance breakers, then turning them back on). Note: At the same time, my son, who lives 500 miles away, also bought the same type Electrolux oven, and he also has experienced the loss of some of the blue bars that constitute the numbers needed for time and temperature reading.Microwave: Many of the blue bars that constitute the numbers for time are not functional. Try operating a microwave without fully functional numbers for time, etc. The cost of the repair (replacement of the electronics is almost half the cost of an entire new unit. We limp along as is because of our attempt to match the appliances in the kitchen, and we are not about to replace with the identical Electrolux. Note: My son bought the identical microwave and he has the same problems. These things tell me that Electrolux shipped an entire batch of ovens and microwaves across the US with faulty lighted numbers. The shipping of two out-of-box failure dishwashers is almost unbelievable. I dont know how a company can survive with such a record of failures across three product lines.

We purchased a washer dryer set 1 year ago. The steam/water valve on the dryer failed 4 months ago and after the load is dry the water continues to stray into drum, filling it up with water, runs into drawer and floods floor. We had it fixed by the appliance store technician. The valve has now failed again. A tech is coming out again. Has anyone else had this issue? Model # EFME517SIW0.

We purchased the oven from Lowes in 2012. It did not work from the start. Lowes refused to cover it and so did Electrolux claiming it was a 2008 model so not covered. After a hassle, they replaced the circuit board under an extended warranty plan. It then turned on but the temperature is totally random. It shuts off and on at will. According to the service people if the repairman says it cant be fixed we will get our money refunded. They seem confused about why no one will repair it. Based on our dealings so far and a little inside info about our local Lowes, I suspect it was already returned as not repairable and Lowes sold it to us anyway as a floor model. Do floor models usually not work? It is the worst appliance of any brand or any type that I have ever owned in forty years of buying appliances. Even if it did work, it is not user friendly or intuitive. You have to touch about six different buttons in the correct order just to bake at 350. My first scratch and dent with two knobs worked better. We bought it because it was supposed to replace all those appliances sitting on the counter, slow cooker, bread machine, etc. but it wont even just bake a freaking pot pie. I am grouchy because I have been trying for two hours and my blood sugar is really low.

I have a microwave that has a broken door. I have an extended warranty and have been back and forth with Electrolux trying to get the door repaired or the microwave repaired for almost 4 months already. Ive been assigned 3 different authorized service providers that did absolutely nothing but make me take days off from work for nothing. The corporate sector has done nothing to help.

Im writing this with 5 years of experience watching my appliances fail. It started with the warping of the pan in the built-in range and then the failure of the control assembly for that unit. Beside the fact that the racks are very difficult to slide in and out and dont fit well, I just figured this is just a case of a bad unit. Electrolux paid to have it fixed so I was ok at that point. Then the ice maker in the refrigerator quit working properly. It was intermittent, slow, and finally quit. Electrolux paid for this repair also... like three times. It worked for a while and started the same problem about a year later. I called back in and they said theyd replace the refrigerator... and they did. Later I received a mailing about what I think was a class action suit on this issue so I understand why they were so agreeable to replacement of the refrigerator.Next up is the dishwasher. Actually I dont believe it ever really worked that well because the touch pad was stubborn from the beginning. So now the touch pad isnt functional except for the start button and the normal button so no other features are available. Ive been told that the buttons are probably sticking and it needs a new part. Of course were now in our 5th year so the warranty is gone, and since Im going to replace the part, it will be on me if the part doesnt work when it gets here. The only other problem we had with the dishwasher was that something happened with the seal as far as I can tell, and it leaked water, ruining our hardwood floor under the dishwasher, in front of it, and some on the other side of the island. A hardwood guy tells me well have to do the whole room to fix the problem effectively. Its easy to see but were living with it.Just a couple days ago the microwave went out. No microwave and no convection. Check out the reviews folks, this unit is highly unreliable. I did find that Wolf makes one that will fit perfect for a similar price, actually a little less, and I suspect it will outperform this ICON by a landslide. We bought all these appliances for a new home we built. They looked nice at the time and of course we were sold on them. That company isnt in business anymore either. What a mess. I hope this review serves the public well but there are a boatload of reviews on Electrolux and it looks like an average of one star. Please pay attention and save yourself some headaches... buy something else.
