I purchased a Front loader Electrolux brand washer and dryer on February 19 from Home Depot for a Presidents Day sale. I was given a delivery date on March 3. Four days before they were supposed to deliver, Electrolux called me and asked if they could deliver on March 31, because my dryer was back ordered and they would only deliver them together. I told them that was very inconvenient because I had no other washer and dryer and I had a 6 month old baby. I asked them what I should do. They told me to call Home Depot. Home Depot was helpful, they said they would reimburse me $300 the cost it would be for laundry service. On March 28, I called Electrolux to make sure they were delivering my washer/dryer on the 31st. They told me that again my dryer was backordered and they would not be delivering it until May 16. They said there was nothing they could do that I would have to contact Home Depot for any help. I asked if they were planning on just not calling me and letting me sit around all day waiting for my delivery to not happen and she said, Well, we try and contact our customers but we dont always get to everyone. Needless to say, Im fuming angry and I am going to try and cancel my order and find something else.

I have owned my new Electrolux dryer for 39 days. Of those days the dryer has been unusable for 10 days, and counting. When I call customer service for a repair, they give me a service date that is 4 days out the first time. It was fixed. The motor was loose. Now it has ceased to spin. I am waiting 4 days for a service call again. Frustrated that there is no sense of urgency at all.

In late 2008 we purchased an Electrolux refrigerator, glass cooktop, double oven, microwave & dishwasher. We bought all the appliances in late October 2008 but did not receive them until late November. We had been promised them within a week & were concerned we would not get everything in time for Thanksgiving as we were having family stay with us for the holiday. In any case, the refrigerator was delivered & set up while we were still living at our old house. It arrived with a dent in it. A very noticeable dent. We were told it might be several weeks to get the replacement. Everything was top of the line so not in stock in the store. Under the circumstances, we elected to keep it. However, when they installed the water line for the ice maker, they did not remove the plug so the water poured out all over our wood floors until we came to the new house the following day & were met with the mess & flood. Within just a few months, the dishwasher had to be serviced. Again, not a good sign but sometimes things happen. Shortly thereafter, the blue digital display on the double ovens had some lights stop working & the display was messed up. I called, I was told a part would be sent & when we received it, to call back & a repairman would be dispatched. The part did not arrive when expected, another bad thing, I called after a few days, giving ample time & was told the part had not been sent but now would be for sure. About a month later I received a part. I called for service. No one showed up. A couple of weeks later, I called again. I was told AGAIN that the repairman would come. A couple of days later, I received a SECOND part. No repairman. EVER. Anyway, the digital blue displays on the glass stovetop soon followed suit & stopped working as well. Now I have to guess what temperature I am really cooking things at. The only appliance with the Electrolux name on it that has not had an issue so far is the microwave. I hate to even say it, as I probably just jinxed it. The refrigerator is now not working at all. It kept turning off & on, off & on. Then it popped up a CE error on the beautiful blue display that I was once so fond of. We have ordered a part & my husband is saying he will install it himself, again. The top oven of the double oven stopped keeping the correct temperature about a year ago. For example, I can set it for 350 degrees but in actuality, it may not even be 125 degrees. I feel so disgusted that I spent all my retirement money to have the kitchen of my dreams & instead got the kitchen of my nightmares. Compounding my deep disappointment is the fact that I know I can never afford to buy all new appliances again AND that since we bought all of these items at the same time, they will probably all start falling apart at the same time. I bought the hype, I believed I was buying quality & I regret it & will regret it forever. In my blind faith, I bought the kitchen I wanted because I knew I would never ever have such an opportunity again to furnish my kitchen with top of the line state of the art appliances. Refrigerators, microwaves, stovetops, double ovens & dishwashers should all last longer than 5 years. That is just my humble opinion but it is also my humble opinion that I will NEVER purchase another Electrolux anything. I spent a small fortune on Electrolux products to have ALL of them, except the microwave, have issues right off the bat & have a top quality refrigerator fail within 5 years. Kelly Ripa should be ashamed of herself for making money off this terrible product.

Electrolux single wall oven - Many problems in the eight years Ive had it.
Electrolux single wall oven - Many problems in the eight years Ive had it. Stains and runs in the glass door, the oven floor turned white where the heating element is but the worst problem is in the last two years with the self-clean mode. It either says the racks are still in, so the clean mode wont work, or it cleans and gets too hot and shuts the oven down so it will not heat up upon next use. This requires repairman to change the fan and replace some switch. This has happened four times. Repair guy says not to use the clean mode anymore. Im disabled and to clean it myself is not an option. Also it seems everything splatters so much that it will have to be cleaned. I was so happy with it at first, it was so out of my price range, but I always thought you get what you pay for, but not in this case. Also on my Electrolux side by side fridge had to have it repaired twice - a computer malfunction, four hundred once and three hundred another time. My over-the-stove microwave had the least problems, with only one service call for the push button door broke and it wouldnt close. Ive never had so many problems with one brand. Oh, and my Electrolux vacuum, well thats another nightmare.

We bought the French Doors ElectroLux Icon refrigerator for about $4500 and after 4 years have to replace the ice maker and the electronic circuit board. Their service group which requires you to buy another warranty, took 3 days to tell me authorized dealers to call for the repair. I live in major city so this was extremely mind blowing. I would recommend not buying this refrigerator.

Electrolux FFHT2117LWO over-under refrigerator: This was a replacement for our old one under a utility company energy program. It has run OK, but you cant turn the defrost off, and it seems to run a lot. The handles are our biggest problem. We had to remove the bottom door handle because we hit our heads on it a lot-- opening from the left. It seems to be in just exactly the wrong place. Then, when youre rummaging in the main frig cabinet and straighten back up, POW you hit your head on the freezer handle, very painful and the handles have sharp edges, too. I have thought about removing their awful handles and making my own which curve up, from the bottom of the freezer door. They are not reversible. Emails to Electrolux customer service have gone without response.

I purchased 6 Electrolux appliances for my kitchen in 2009 (refrigerator, dual fuel oven, hood, microwave, dishwasher, mini-frig). Since that time they have ALL required repair. The refrigerator and dishwasher re in constant repair. I purchased this top line brand because I didnt want to deal with any problems. I also purchased a warranty on all the appliances because I didnt want to have any problems that would take time from my busy schedule. In the last 2 months I have had the refrigerator stop working (for the 3rd time) and spoil ALL my food. Sears took 4 attempts to fix the problem over the course of 3 week. The following day the dishwasher broke (for the 3rd time), draining 2 feet of water all over my kitchen. After 5 weeks and 3 service appointments - almost 2 weeks between appointments and 2 no shows my dishwasher remains broken and collecting mold. I will NEVER purchase another Electrolux appliance again. These products are complete junk.

We bought an Electrolux wall oven 5 years ago. At 4.5 years the element and fan needed to be changed. At 5 years the control panel completely died. For almost a month I chased customer service to fix our oven. I wrote 2 complaints on their website with no response. I rang the customer line over 8 times. I spent hours and hours on hold. I received two callbacks that came at a time I was unable to answer so I had to wait on line for ages again just to get through. After waiting a week for a technician to come out, we were told the part needed to be ordered and would be another week. A week later, we were called 20 mins before his arrival to tell us it would be over $650 to fix including the call out. I refused to pay this amount. The oven is only 5 years old. I was told by customer service that because it was 5 years old then parts would breakdown and that I was not obligated to get them to fix it and could find help elsewhere! What a joke! Who buys an oven to last just 5 years!! I told them that after 2.5 weeks without an oven and multiple calls and complaints and emails I would not pay this amount. They agreed to a staff discount amount, however, the part needed to be ordered AGAIN (despite the fact the technician had it in his van ready to install that day), and then once the part arrived we would need to arrange an appointment for a technician again, so another week would go by with no oven. At 3.5 weeks we finally had the technician fix the oven. After my first couple of calls, I insisted on speaking to a manager about this matter, however, despite my complaint being escalated not once was I referred to a manager. I was told at one point to go out on the weekend and buy a new oven and they would give us a $600 discount! Not only would I NEVER buy Electrolux again, I also did not have an easy $2000- $3000 laying around to buy a new oven this weekend and pay for installation! What a complete joke! Not once did Electrolux care about the customer. Not once did they make it convenient of us. Not once did they escalate my matter to a manager. This company needs a serious look at their practices and a huge overhaul of their customer service line. I told they could not transfer me to the manager because they do not have the phone facility to do so! I was also told that even if that first technician installed the new control panel he had in his van, that I would have to pay full price. Why, should I the customer, chase all of this up because they do not have the correct technology or facilities to do what is convenient and right by their customer? They are a HUGE company selling electrical goods but do not have the most basic facilities to transfer phone calls or arrange for a reduced price with their technicians. NEVER BUY ELECTROLUX.

I purchased a high end set of kitchen appliances (through Sears Canada) in 2009 - an Electrolux fridge and a top of the line electric range/oven. After 5 years, the fridge literally started to fall apart. The faux aluminum strips on the exterior of the fridge starting falling off and the ice making unit ceased working completely and the inside seal on the door was failing. Sears was very helpful but Electrolux was a complete and utter disaster to deal with. After investing a tremendous amount of time and energy in getting them to step up and deal with their inferior product issues, we were given a nominal credit towards buying another Electrolux fridge. Guess what? Within 9 months, we experienced similar product quality issues and made the decision to get rid of it and replace it with KitchenAid fridge which has been performing flawlessly since day one.Next, the oven stopped working. The burners were not functioning at all. Electrolux herded us over to a local service provider who indicated that this kind of problem was a common theme across the Electrolux high end oven product line. The service technician indicated that he would be unable to isolate the specific problem (we kept getting the e15 code of death). He recommended replacing a component for over $500 but warned us that there was a possibility that this would not necessarily rectify the problem - and if it didnt, we would need to spend a further $1100 to replace a circuit board of some sort. Guess what? The fix didnt work. We contacted Electrolux customer service and after numerous discussions they relented and offered us 20% off, as a sign of good faith, a new one. Really??? Do you actually think that I would buy another one of their products after 3 of them failed inside of 6 years? This is the worst, and I mean worst, product quality issue that I could ever imagine encountering. Never, ever, ever again.

Please, do not be enticed by Electrolux. We purchased a suite of appliances
Please, do not be enticed by Electrolux. We purchased a suite of appliances in 2009 for close to $10,000, and have fortunately renewed our warranties every three years. We have had work done on all four appliances. We are on our 3rd French door fridge with ice/water dispenser in the door. We are currently having to pay delivery and installation to replace our microwave because the one we have can not be repaired; the part is on back order for an indeterminate period of time. We still do not have a delivery date.Yesterday, we got Error 01 on our dishwasher. We looked up the error code, which said there was a leak. We checked all the connections for leaks; there was none. We read what others said were their experiences in forums and discovered that once that particular error code comes up, the dishwasher is basically done for. We tried wiping it out, drying it out with the fan trained on the open door. We cut the circuit breaker, then restored power. We unplugged and replugged. Nothing worked. Another repair order has to be made before they can determine it cannot be repaired! That means another long wait for a replacement, for which we most likely have to pay delivery and installation. Buyer beware, caveat emptor!

Never. Ever. Ever. Ever buy an Electrolux product. Two fridges, a double oven and a stove have all failed numerous times. They have all of our records and we have had repairmen here more than 50 times. This is what they say when the oven breaks: Oh, this time its the side element. Oh, this time its the back element. Oh, sorry this time its the motherboard. The fridge? I purchased a Electrolux washer and dryer in the fall of 2015 and it has broken 4-5 times. Each time it takes 2-3 weeks for repair. This August they replaced the drum, a plastic piece that goes around the drum and the bearings. Five months later the plastic piece has started leaking a lot. So I have been out of a washer for 2 weeks now... never have I had a washer break so much... I bought it because this was suppose to be the best. Boy were they wrong!Updated on 1/15/2018: I recently wrote a review on my Electrolux washer. It was leaking water and the service person came out and said a plastic piece that wraps around the drum had cracked and they had to replace the drum, bearings and the plastic piece all had just been replaced 5 months before. It took 2 months for them to replace them 5 months ago. For 2 months I was without a washer. They replaced the part Jan 4th. The drum and plastic piece were covered in rust which is why my clothes were getting rust on them. Well 8 days later the washer will not drain. This is the fifth time since I bought the washer 2 1/2 years ago that it has broke. The insurance company says the same Part has to break 5 times before they replace it. This is the 2 or 3rd time the pump has broke. For a high-end washer this washer has been nothing but broke.

Five years ago I remodeled my kitchen. I was talked into the top of the line Electrolux icon line and paid the price for it! Now I am again paying the price for it. Where shall I start? Hmm lets go with the overpriced refrigerator that has now almost completely fallen apart. Every shelf made with plastic fittings has now broke. Shelves are now barely holding one, drawers dont roll and stick and again, plastic parts broken and cannot be repaired. Overpriced built-in convection/microwave. Now not working as I dont want to put an additional $500.00 to repair the thing. Id rather put the money towards something worth having. Oh, and this is the second time its been repaired. Built-in convection oven electrical panel has been replaced once. Im not holding my breath. Now this morning, two of the electrical units on my flat top built-in stove have an error indicator on them. Who knows what is wrong now! All I can say is seriously, 4/4 items being in disrepair in less than five years. Well, you do the math. Do not buy any Electrolux product.

Purchased an Electrolux refrigerator in June of 2011. I did not bother with an extended warranty. From my past experiences with refrigerators, I figured that I should at least get about 7 or 8 years of use at the minimum.Three months later, while opening the refrigerator, the handle came off in my hand. It actually broke where it connected to the screws on the door. At the time, I had other issues that were deemed more important, so I did not bother with having it repaired. The following summer, I noticed that on very hot or humid days, the refrigerator did not get as cold as it normally functioned. That would last for several days and then miraculously it would return to the normal set temperature. This continued to occur this summer also. From day one, I always said that the refrigerator was loud. Everyday, especially at night when things are quieter, I hear an intermittent popping sound. It is 1:00 AM in the morning, and I just read several reviews on this site. When I woke up yesterday morning, the refrigerator, as well as, my food, were warm. I thought, how in the world can a 2-year-old refrigerator stop working. Granted, that I only paid around 500 plus dollars, I felt I was buying a reliable product since it was a sub-brand of Frigidaire which was the name of my washer/dryer set that I had for 13 years without any problems. At this very moment, the refrigerator is making a very loud humming sound. Earlier I had to transfer food to my deep freezer. I am not happy. I decided to find out if there were any complaints on this product (hindsight) to determine what my next step would be. Well, I have decided to purchase another refrigerator (a well known name brand) and not even bother with a repair service due to the numerous complaints I have read. I refuse to take out the time to experience repeated repairs! Sales representatives will say anything to get you to buy a product. If I have learned anything, it is to research before hand when purchasing sub-brand appliances, regardless of the manufacturer. I will not own another ELECTROLUX product EVER!

We bought a $3700 refrigerator for our new home, the ice makers kept breaking. I was told I would get a $500 rebate from Electrolux if I bought this model! At Northern Appliance in Braintree is where I was told this and it was on the card on the Refrigerator. I got a service contract for 4 years! Ice maker defects computers replaced. After the first refrigerator I had only 1 and 1/2 years the ice makers died, it was covered by the contract, this was top of the line. After Electrolux told me it was being replaced I called a company to take it away. They said they kept it for themselves. I got the replacement and it was a used or way less value Refrigerator. I called. They said that is what I get! If you can believe it 2 more defective refrigerators and a quote a few service calls from Apollo appliance Brockton Ma. They are very good! The one I have now the ice maker is still broken. I was told the motor is too close to the ice maker, melts it in the back and it breaks. This is unacceptable for an expensive refrigerator. Not sure what I should do if this one fails! Thanks you Jan

We bought a Frigidaire refrigerator back in June, 2018. In August 1st, the refrigerator started to act up and stop making any ice or throwing any water. Since it is still under the first year warranty covered by the company, I called Electrolux to have this issue fixed. They have sent five repairs technician from two different service companies to fix this issue and have not fix this yet. Every time a new technician comes to diagnose it, they have to order a part. They have replaced so many parts and still not fixed yet. After three months waiting for technicians and parts to come, I request Electrolux to replace the unit and they rejected the request. They told me that they cant replace it until a technician tells them its non-fixable (the technician will never tell them its non-fixable because hes making money every time he comes to diagnose/repair it). In the meantime, we cant use our product after we paid so much. Your product broke in less than 1 year and your warranty and replacement policies are a joke. They are designed to rip the consumer off. Its nearly 1 month since it broke down and after 3 techs visits and 3 orders for possible broke new parts, Im still without a washer and Electrolux are sending yes, a 4th tech out with more parts. If this washer ever gets repaired, its probably going to die immediately after those repairs cause the previous repair guys have torn it apart. They even pulled wires out and somehow managed to get them back into the boards.I saw this with my own eyes and I would bet 1 million dollars that those techs damaged those other boards and wired. And of course who will have to pay for those techs mistakes. Yes, thatll be me the customer. Cause they are in the business of selling horrible products without honoring repairs or replacements as they promise. Electrolux and Frigidaire are 2 names that should not be in business. My husband and I own a small business. Our employee scratched our customers brand new stainless steel refrigerator door. I called to order a replacement door panel. Upon receiving the part we installed it and noticed it had a light colored stripe running down the middle of the door that looks different than the rest of the refrigerator. I called customer service back right away. I sent them a picture and they tried to tell me it was like a piece of wood. That no two pieces of wood are alike. Really? How is a piece of wood and a piece of stainless steel the same? This door panel was less than quality and no one would purchase a refrigerator like that in the store. They tried to downplay and undermine the situation, making me feel like I was being unreasonable. All I wanted was to make my customer happy and her to have her refrigerator looking new again. I finally got them to agree to refund the door but they wouldnt send a new panel without receiving the other part back, so I agreed to pay for another one to be shipped. That way our customer wasnt without a fridge door in the meantime. I was told they would contact us in a few days to pick up the defective door. I also asked them to call me directly to handle the return. Instead, they called our customer the very next day and scheduled the pick up for Monday. We hadnt received the second door panel yet so I told them we werent ready to swap them out yet. They proceeded to tell me it was too late to stop the request since they had already sent it through but that UPS would leave us a shipping label. Yesterday was Monday and no shipping label. Today I called them again and they informed me to call UPS. UPS is not even aware of any labels and advised me to contact them again. I have now been told that I will have to pay the shipping plus a restocking fee for a piece of ugly metal that is below what the standard should be for a door on a refrigerator that cost close to $3K. Every single person I have spoken to has given me a different answer. The manager I spoke to tonight was rude and insensitive. They do not care about making the customer happy. They will just take your money and blow you off. It is looking like I may be out the money for the other door panel. I am afraid even if I pay the money to ship it back, they will just come up with another story as to why they cant refund me. Unbelievable! Stay far away from this company!!

We purchased an Electrolux washer (and dryer) - our first Electrolux brand
We purchased an Electrolux washer (and dryer) - our first Electrolux brand of major appliance. We are normally careful to read reviews and check the brand out. All the reviews regarding the product features and benefits were strong. Never having had a problem with all laundry appliances we have purchased over the last 20 years or so, we failed to check the feedback on quality and service. Did check with friends and family with Electrolux laundry appliances - and they had performance concerns but did not have any service issues. Within the first 9 months, the washer developed a bottom leak (which I now see is a common problem). We are not high volume users, doing about 4 to 6 loads every month. Upon calling Electrolux, it seems that the authorized service agent in my area (the greater Boston area) can only come out 2 weeks from the day I called. Since this is the only way I can have my appliance repaired and the cost covered under the manufacturers warranty, I accepted the appointment. I think that it is reasonable to expect a problem free first year (or longer for an appliance that costs as much), as has been our experience over the last 20+ years. And, if it seems that this is a common issue, and likely a manufacturing defect. In my view, the manufacturer should stand behind their reputation and provide extended warranty coverage to address known manufacturing defects while fixing the issue in their design and production. If this were a car, I am quite sure there would be a recall to fix the problem at no cost to the owner. Fortunately, the damage caused by the water leaking is not major in our case. Nonetheless, it is not usable as it is for an extended period. So, families who may have the washer installed where there is potential for water leakage damage or who cannot function without a washer for a couple of weeks (or more), or who may not want to incur the additional maintenance costs - may wish to exclude this brand from their consideration.

Customer Service Non existent. We bought a slide-in stove from Electrolux 3.5 years ago. For over 2 years we have dealt with an electrical panel shorting on the appliance. Now the unit has completely shut down. We had a repair person look at it who says all the circuit panels need replacing at $900 plus $800 labour. The stove cost approx $2300 and three years later we are facing a $1700 repair that is not guaranteed to fix the problem. While Im aware many appliances only have a 1 year warranty are we to believe we should plan on throwing in the trash Electrolux appliances after 3 years? Not impressed!

Purchased very expensive two door stainless steel fridge from Electrolux 4 years ago - both doors have just started going rusty. Electrolux have told us we have to pay for a technician to come to our house and then they will probably not do anything to help us as it is out of warranty. We paid over $2500 for this fridge - do not buy from them. They are most unhelpful and sell faulty products. Our washing machine also stopped working in first 3 months - but that was under warranty - so they repaired it - after lots of headaches!

We own a high end induction slide-in range that has failed twice, for the same reason, in 6 years. Whenever we have used the self-clean function the oven has remained locked (impossible to open or function). First failure was covered under warranty but the second, for the exact same failure, cost $600 to repair and Electrolux refused to absorb any of the cost. Technician indicated that this is a common failure...probably a design fault. Will never buy another Electrolux product again.

Its a great looking fridge, however, we had many issues with it. The water in the filter freezes, causing all of the functions in the door not to work. Freezing everything placed in the veggie drawers. The ice maker works intermittently, and now only the crushed worked. Ice maker died after about one year. I really like it, but not worth the high price.

I refuse to give them any stars... My new fridge has had problem from day one. Ice maker not functioning properly, water keeps dripping from the dispenser, the freezer is not aligned. Have had so many service calls from the first day still when you try speaking with the Electrolux contact center (somewhere in US) only answer that you get is, We cant do anything. You will have to call for service as until THEY think it can be repaired. Pls dont waste your money & time in buying Frigidaire/Electrolux products. Worst products.

We purchased 6 appliances all Electrolux. We had 2 issues with the microwave door repaired under warranty. The fridge however is a completely different story that never ends. It has been 3 years of repairs and replacement parts but the worst of it all was when one day I dispensed water and ice from the fridge door and while drinking I choked on something. Fortunately for me my husband was here to assist me in dislodging it, and it turned out to be a piece of styrofoam dispensed from the ice maker. I was able to spit it into the sink in bewilderment. We inspected the bin and were perplexed as to where it had come from. After that 3 more pieces of styrofoam were dispensed at different times. We kept inspecting the bin and found a large plastic piece and some wires wrapped around the auger. Many dollars have gone into this ice/water dispenser, mother board, display board and now this styrofoam and choking. Stay very clear from Electrolux. Im sorry we chose this brand just for the induction. The freezer in the bottom we cannot turn off, and the seal around the freezer door does not meet up with the frame leaving the cold air to escape leaving me without a frost FREE freezer and fluctuating temperatures. At times the warm alarm will sound alerting us that the freezer has gone warm and then we need to cut the power on then off to reset it and throw food out that thawed. Now we throw good money after bad, and to add a serious choking incident into the mix is unthinkable. This complaint could be a whole lot different if my husband wasnt at home to help me with a piece of styrofoam. To think a refrigerator is a danger in your home!!!

All my Electrolux appliances broke down. The dryer quit and had to replace the motherboard. The microwave broke and replaced it with another over the range microwave and the handle broke within few months. Then last week my Electrolux dishwasher caught fire. It was the motor that caught fire and spread to the insulation. The fire department came and put out the fire and whole house was damaged with smoke. Insurance is handling the claim and I had to pay the $1000 deductible and the dishwasher is not covered by the insurance. It was a loss close to 10 grand. Electrolux wasnt even ready to pay someone to come and do an inspection and I had to pay an authorized repairman to come and submit the report to Electrolux. He is coming tomorrow to do the inspection. I am really frustrated with Electrolux appliances and their accountability.

2 years ago we received an Electrolux french door refrigerator as a replacement for the same refrigerator that lasted one year. The ice maker stopped working at 1.5 years and now it wont stay cold. The master repair technician concluded the whole thing is beyond repair. We have now been without a refrigerator for almost 3 weeks as Electrolux tries to determine how and when to replace it. Very dissatisfied with the durability of this $3500 product and the customer service is slow and unresponsive. They keep assuring me that it is moving forward and seem satisfied with their response. Our Electrolux Fridge model EI23BC60KS (ELECTROLUX, REF F/S 24D, FRENCH DOOR, F/D, 23CUFT, 24D, HDN HNG, I/M) started overheating about 9 months post purchase. Since then weve taken at least 12 days off work so far to have service technicians come check it out (6x now) and then waited approx a week to get a second visit where they replaced a different part each time or turned it off. Worst is that every time, weve lost hundreds of dollars in food and we have a baby so had to purchase a mini fridge to at least keep his basic items like milk cool. When I reached out to Electrolux Canada Head office the last time, they indicated they couldnt do anything other than paying for parts given it was the same issue identified during warranty period because I didnt purchase replacement insurance (this was two days post warranty period). Again the same thing happened so this will be our 7th call to a servicing company. This is the second set of Electrolux appliances (we had them in our old house as well and I recommended them to friends and family given no their sleek design). Its so not worth it though unless youre ok having a fridge that doesnt actually function. This has been the worst product and customer support experience Ive had in my life. I paid a lot of money for a fridge that didnt even last 9 months, lost hundreds of dollars in food, taken several days off work to try and resolve and still no solution or support from Electrolux whatsoever.

Our front load Electrolux washer that is 7 years old gave us an error code of E53. Called Electrolux and was told it was the motor control. Ordered the part and still didnt work. Talked to Electrolux again and was told we needed the main control board too. Ordered that part as well. Got it and now the washer locked the washer door and still doesnt do anything but power up and power down. Called Electrolux to see if they would either refund the parts back to us if we sent them back OR send new parts as it seems one may be faulty. They told me they couldnt refund parts nor send new replacement ones as we were not a certified installer. We were never informed that when we ordered the parts. They wont stand behind their parts or issue a refund. All they want to do is send a technician. There are only 2 parts for the electronics that can be replaced. It isnt rocket science and not a hard thing to install. I rebuild computers. It is crazy they wont stand behind their product or send replacement parts or refund. Now we are out $350 and have to break the door to get the clothes out of the washer since the door wont unlock and STILL go buy another washer. BAD SERVICE. BAD PARTS. BAD COMPANY.

Four year old Electrolux French door refrigerator/freezer model #EI28BS65XS
Four year old Electrolux French door refrigerator/freezer model #EI28BS65XS6 is sweating and rusting on the rear panel, mainly around the upper right hand corner behind the ice maker. I purchased a Rear Panel Kit (part #5303918657) for $199.98 + tax from Electrolux, who stated in an email to me that this ...kit is the only fix for this issue. Unfortunately, the kit includes a huge, thick, black pad that covers the entire rear panel of the refrigerator except for the vented area at the bottom. The water lines to the ice maker have to run over the pad.Unfortunately, the refrigerator will no longer fit in its customer enclosure, which Electrolux has informed me is my problem, as they will not be able to meet any requests for a replacement model, as the warranty for your current model has expired... I am guessing that Electrolux forgot to put insulation in the rear of the refrigerator. They apparently have not notified their customers of the issue either, as I only learned of the problem when I pulled the refrigerator out to clean it. (The ice dispenser quit long ago as well, but thats another story.)

I purchased a refrigerator in October 2017 and by January 2018 it completely stopped staying cold. A servicer was scheduled to come out within 2 weeks so all of my food went bad. A $50 good gesture gift card was mailed out to a short time later. A few months later the exact same thing happened and I lost all of my food again. If that was not enough, in September 2018, my refrigerator stopped staying cold AGAIN and AGAIN I lost all of my food. This issue was eventually elevated to the corporate supervisors, in which I had the displeasure of speaking to Shanell out of Augusta, GA. She was extremely rude and lacked basic customer service skills. She stated that these refrigerators are MAN MADE and thats what happens sometimes. At this time, I have been advised itll be roughly a week before anyone can come out to diagnose the issue and apparently theres only one technician in my area and he only does service work on Wednesdays. I will never, ever, purchase another Electrolux product. Ive never had this many issues with an appliance company at all. Buyers beware!

I purchased an extended service agreement on my washer, waste of time and money. It has been 3 weeks and my washing machine is still broken and leaks. I finally had the service come back today to repair the pump, but after he left I ran a load and my whole laundry room was flooded. When I called Electrolux the customer service representative asked me what the problem was after I explained the whole situation, he didnt think the water leaking from the machine was an issue for them to deal with. Not to mention waiting 3 weeks for my washer to be fix the amount of mold that grew inside by the motor and pump was ridiculous, especially when I asked the technician on his original visit to please open the machine to remove broken pump and that I could clean it all out.Instead today when the machine was open water came pouring out that had been sitting in there for 3 weeks! Today is Monday and it has been 3 weeks since I called for repair, still cant use my washer, and was given an 8am-5pm time slot on Friday! So ridiculous! I have spoken to supervisors and have gotten nowhere. I will never buy another Electrolux product again! Im done dealing with them, they will now be hearing from my lawyer.

If it were possible to rate Electrolux with zero stars I would have done that. I have had a nightmare of an experience with my Electrolux front loader washing machine and this was a VERY expensive machine. The first machine that was delivered to me didnt work at all so that had to be removed and another new machine brought it. That second machine worked for about 10 washes and it went out. Not only was this completely inconvenient to be without a washing machine again, and realizing that this incredible expensive machine was completely unreliable, Working with Electrolux with the warranty to have it serviced was a total nightmare. The local company they used under the warranty to come out and service the machine took almost 2 weeks to get me on their calendar so I was without a washing machine for that amount of time and I just had to wait it out, per Electrolux (thats even after going to their customer service management). When the company came to service it, they determined that it needed FOUR MAJOR PARTS REPLACED, which included a new water sensor, a new motor, new motherboard, etc. I had this SECOND new machine for less than 45 days. Not only that, but 3 of the 4 parts that needed replacing were on backorder. Electrolux was AWFUL to deal with, their customer service kept hanging up on me or passing me around when I was trying to find a solution to this problem and eventually they told me that I had to wait it out and they would get someone to service it when the parts came in. I was the one inconvenienced by their unreliable product and they had zero sympathy for my situation (including the fact that Im extremely pregnant and about to have a baby any day). I regret buying an Electrolux appliance and hope this review reaches a lot of people so others dont go through the same nightmare Ive been through with this company.

My Electrolux double wall ovens - I keep getting an F11 error code. Call electrolux... They are just out of warranty. Apparently it is a $530. part, another $200 plus for the repairman. Diagnosis is vague. This is a you should start by replacing this situation. Unacceptable. We should be able to expect a reasonable problem-free lifespan for these major purchases. Its used twice a week (regularly) and intensely used twice a year (for the usual special occasions). This company doesnt even have a website where you can at least do some of the information-gathering yourself. And the script of the service desk is... We are anxious to please our customers. Can I call you by your first name? I will try to put you in touch with someone who can help you.... And I hope you are satisfied with the answers you received today. Nothing technical. No solution. In short ZERO service. When the repairman contacted Electrolux (from our home), they read what the error code said off a script and didnt ask any other symptoms. That did not give either of us any confidence as they they did say to start with that repair and see if it works. START with a $700 plus repair AND SEE IF THAT WORKS??? These were $3600 ovens, and they are 15 mos old. Completely unacceptable. My fight has started.....

On Nov 21st, 2018 I called to schedule an appointment for my washer to be repaired and was given one right away, although I had told the representative that it would probably need a new part, the very same day I get a call from a technician saying he would come out to look at the washer which he did on Nov 23rd. On the day of the appointment he shows up looks at the appliance and within 5 minutes tells he would need to order the part and come back and that it would take about a week or so. So Ill be without a washer until then, so I called the warranty company back and explain to the corporate supervisor that a week or so is way too long so she reassures me that this will be priority and that she will put a rush on things. It is now 3 weeks later and Ive not heard back from either party, so I call the tech to ask for an update, he tells me the company took him off my case and knows nothing about the situation. I call the company back to find out what the hell happened and no one knows. Also the part was never ordered, ridiculous! So Ive been back and forth with this company. 4 supervisors later, one of them orders the part and assures me this will be given utmost priority, I get an email confirming the part is been ordered and that I should receive within a couple of days, and that a new tech company will be here on the 11th of Dec 2018 to install it. 2 days later I get an email stating that the part has been cancelled without any explanation, again no call from the warranty company, I call them to find out that again no one knows what happened no one has an explanation, at this point Im over it!! I bought Electrolux dishwasher, range, and refrigerator in 2009 from Lowes in Marble Falls, TX. The dishwasher was damaged when arrived, then not installed properly. After several attempts to get Lowes to replace it, and then several more phone calls with Electrolux, I finally had a new one installed. It always leaked, and I could get no one to take responsibility. It was the worst dishwasher I ever had, so I finally replaced it with a KitchenAid, which I love. The refrigerator is terrible! The filters need replacing all the time, the crisper freezes my lettuce, even on the warmest setting, so I can only use the right half of the drawer. The same is true for the cheese drawer. The ice and water dispenser do not shut off every time, which makes a huge mess on the floor. Came home last night from vacation, the CE alarm was going off, and everything in the refrigerator and freezer was ruined. Again, Electrolux will do NOTHING! I guess I will also throw the refrigerator out and replace it with a KitchenAid.

Bad seals, broken parts, ice maker freezing up and now I am told the fridge will fail soon due to the internal thermal parts. They supposedly did some sort of recall but NOTHING I EVER RECEIVED. It is NOT COVERED ON YOUR HOME INSURANCE WARRANTY, in fact they tell you to CALL ELECTROLUX. So I did and I was on HOLD for 65 minutes, no mention of any sort of call back which many companies now do. I Guess ELECTROLUX WANTS TO MAXIMISE PROFITS!!!!The lady I spoke to KNEW about this issue (Just as the TECHNICIAN that came out KNEW about this issue). She ended up giving me the number for the CORPORATE OFFICE to speak to a SHELBY so I called. Guess what? Its just a number for Electrolux, no Shelby. This is a $2400 refrigerator, it is a piece of junk and Electrolux seems to be worthless. I have one of their freezers too and guess what? We purchased numerous fridges of this type from Electrolux back in 2014. We are a builder, so we kept all the fridges completely sealed and in secured storage. We have had issues with every single fridge from Electrolux so far to date. The most recent was the brand new fridge we moved into a brand new home. We plugged the fridge in, and immediately there was an obvious smell of smoke. Concerned, we unplugged the fridge. Our electrician had a look at the plug and it was working fine. We called Electrolux, and they told us the issue is probably the plug. We would need to get a report from a certified electrician to prove that there are no issues with any of the plugs or circuits in the home.We had a third party certified electrician come out, take a look and provide a report. We called Electrolux back, and they said an electrician report wouldnt count. They also somehow did not have the last call on file. They said we would instead need to get a certified Frigidaire technician to come out and look at the fridge. They gave us two possible companies in our area we could use.We hired one of the two provided companies to come and take a look at the fridge. They did, and said that it was clear the main computer blew up as soon as the fridge was plugged in. It also appeared one of the secondary computers was fried. They made a report, and attempted to send it to Electrolux internally. Electrolux refused to accept it.We called Electrolux yet again, saying we have a report from a certified Frigidaire technician, and could we please have an email to forward the report to. Electrolux said that never happens and only certified technicians can send reports. I told Electrolux that they themselves had already refused to receive the report internally. The call person refused to provide any email and told me to call the certified technician and tell them to send again. We updated the certified technician, who said they would try again. They were again refused, and had to try and send the report through Electroluxs Contact Us form on their website. We then had to wait nearly 2 weeks before Electrolux called back, just to say nothing is covered and it isnt their problem. To replace the computers is very expensive, and with the other issues we have had with the other fridges, we had to just buy an entirely new fridge (not from Electrolux). Normally I give the benefit of the doubt over and over, but this is by far the worst service and quality I have seen - especially considering the level of luxury Electrolux is supposed to have. We will not be using Electrolux again and we will be recommending against it to any clients in the future. Thank you.

I have had FOUR refrigerators in Seven years! I bought the first one which was replaced by Electrolux followed by the same thing for a total of 3 times. Unfortunately this last time when the brand new replacement came, it worked for a few hours and then quit, leaving me with ruined food and no refrigerator at all for more than two weeks!! Yes, we have had Electrolux replace their poor quality French door refrigerator but it takes months of calls and repair people visits to come to that. Imagine doing this FOUR times in Seven Years. I am so over. I wake up every day and pray the brand new one is still running!!

Purchased the unit in September 2020. Had repairman out in November. Now, in May, I’m still waiting for a fan motor assembly to resolve a fan noise that sounds like a bass boat motor when oven hits 420 degrees. I understand COVID excuses, but you sold this oven 6 months into the pandemic. Why do you make and sell new products, but claim you can’t service what you are selling? Stop building new units and use the parts to service what you’ve already sold. Don’t leave your customers holding your COVID bag of problems.

We bought a $1,500, top of the line E-lux combo microwave and warm-air oven. It is our complementary oven. Our normal oven is primary. We use the microwave perhaps every other day for 1 minute warming coffee. It died, circuit board death. $600 to remove and replace it! It is less than 5 years old with less than 50 hours of use. E-lux told me tough luck. I cannot recommend their product or service. Electroluxs product is poor.

I bought the washer in January. Then one day in June, the washer stopped spinning. After researching online that evening, I checked the code which said defective door lock sensor. The repair man came three days later and confirmed that it was a defective door sensor. Problem is he didnt have the part. Twenty days later, the part arrives and the repair man replaces it and proclaims the belt also was off, that some factory lock nut had come off. He said in his twenty years doing this hed never seen such a thing. He put Lock Tight on the nut and tightened it. It lasted less than one load the next day. The repair man returned and said he had to replace the drum, motor mount, pulley, pulley mount, drive shaft, bearings, belt and that it would require another visit (full day) because he had to order the parts. I asked how long and he couldnt guess. Now Ive been without a washer for close to 30 days and it will be longer. It costs me $5 per load at the Laundromat - thats approx. $150 since it broke. Ive had to stay home from work waiting on the repair man a total of three times and now will be a fourth. I dont go to work. I dont get paid. I called Electrolux Customer Service (thats a joke) today and asked why they just dont replace it. Their new product warranty is a repair warranty only - way to stand behind your product. My modest calculations are this washer cost me a total of $1,700 so far; I bought it for $650. If I were a consumer in need of an appliance, I would not buy Electrolux. If I had done my homework, I wouldnt have bought this product for $250. At least my life is consistent. I owned a Fiat when I was younger and it was a piece of junk and now I have another Italian piece of junk.

I phoned up customer service regarding our oven - for whatever reason its gone all black inside. We heat it up to get rid of fatty deposits but this is something Ive never seen before. Its still under guarantee. A man from service force came out and took pictures of the inside then sent it to Electrolux. After a phone call the lady came back to me to say its not faulty and get a professional clean. You cant do this with a self-clean oven and already looked at this option before ringing. The top oven also cuts out when turning on but according to Electrolux its not faulty. We cant use the oven as black deposits go over the food when turning up the heat. After telling them this they promised to ring me up in the afternoon as they were going to look at this again. Anyway no phone call - left in limbo over Easter no cooker nightmare. Gave a mark of 1 because at least the lady on customer service seemed nice!!!

Bought a kitchen full of Electrolux Products. Ice maker in frig has never work and 6 repair visits that has not changed. Drawer Frig has had the wire harness to the control panel replaced twice. Dishwasher has stopped working 3 times and all the program lights flash. Turning the power off for a day will reset the control panel for awhile. Am sure that wont work forever. Electrolux knows their ice maker design is bad. How many upgrade kits does it take to figure that out? The repair man that Elextrolux sends is never on time. Today he was going to be here between 10:00 and 2:00, arrived at 4:30. Products and service are terrible. When you contact Electrolux for warranty service, they ask you to take a survey and give ratings. If you checked the box to have Electrolux contact you, dont wait too long, they wont be calling. Do yourself a favor and buy another brand.

We bought a refrigerator in November 2018, needed to change the whole complete cooling system in February 2019, and we are now waiting for a technician in August 2020 because our food is freezing. Very bad customer service, hard to reach someone: tried to called a lot of times and was told by a machine to call back because the lines were too busy. When I reached someone, VERY rude, she didn’t seems to want to help me. The date for a technician was 1 to 2 weeks after the call. Very far when you got 4 kids to feed and food is wasting everyday in the expensive fridge that we bought 2 years ago. Very very disappointed. I do NOT recommend this brand to anyone.

My son was sleeping when 9:30 AM he awoke to find flames coming from the melted rubber at the top of the freezer door. The flames were igniting baseball cards, etc on top of the refrigerator and reached the ceiling too! He opened the freezer door and flames shot out of the freezer! He closed the freezer door and immediately called the Fire Dept. He then threw water on top of the refrigerator until the fire persons arrived. They came in under 5 minutes time. They told me if no one was home, the whole house would have went up in flames...The ceiling is ripped open to make sure the fire didnt spread to main floor, the walls, cabinets were burnt, cloths and the flooring has water and smoke damage... The whole house wreaks of the smell of smoke. And as the NYFD said we were lucky... BEWARE..... I decided to go online.. This is not the first case of a fire starting in a freezer and it wont be the last!!

We are being quoted $1200 in new parts plus labor to repair, money up front and no guarantee. Obviously we will be scrapping this piece of junk and buying another brand. Electrolux has now offered us 70% off another model but wont advise what model or price level. They really assume no responsibility for their products. We are also discussing the matter with a lawyer as both Electrolux and repair outlets are aware of the continuing problems but are taking responsibility for them. Our last technician also advised our range has a heat shield plate missing from it but that is my problem not theirs. I will also be contacting my home builder to advise them of our ongoing issues with Electrolux products.

Purchased a matching refrigerator and freezer units with a trim kit for our newly built home. Prior to installing these units, both were plugged in to ensure they worked properly. The freezer did work without issue, however the refrigerator (after three services) still doesnt hold a temperature under 70 degrees. We asked for a replacement from the company we purchased it from (Jetson of Stuart Florida) and was told that the manufacture would not authorize a replacement because the unit could not be classified as unrepairable. Called the manufacture, and was told that they had no record of any service on the refrigerator. After the manufacture called the service department at Jetsons, and discovered no service call history was forwarded to the manufacture, all that could be done was another service call had to be set up. (Runaround, runaround). Of course a technician will get the unit to work for a few hours and again it will fail, and this merry-go-round will continue. I am out $2,000 and no working refrigerator. Buyer be aware, every seller of appliances must follow the manufacture replacement policies. Once you take delivery you are stuck.

New 10/2014 Have had issues with ice maker since new. Many calls to Electrolux at which I had to take numerous hours off work. Several different companies have been sent to correct problem at which it has NOT been fixed. Problem still continues and now is making noise on and off. Went before Electrolux board for replacement and was denied due to the fact the service people they use did not call from the house so to them there was not enough evidence. Duuuggghhh! Now, you know they have records of my calls and the people they sent out!! I was told by one Electrolux person that I need to have repairman call them from my house. Is that my responsibility? NO. One repair guy said, Nah no need for me to do that! I do not think it is my place to tell them anything! One repair guy told me that it was as good as it would ever be. It has always put out crushed ice from the cubed slot. To me cubed is cubed and crushed is crushed. NEVER had this issue with my other fridge. I have done tons of research and they have major issues with their ice makers, period! Monday I took off work again to have the repair guy show up and the order that had been called in (by a manager) said I was out of warranty and to charge me. Sooo, he had to leave and now we are waiting again... another day off work for yet another company to come next week! Oh yeah, and by the way they did not get anyone out after the Monday incident, I had to again take my time to call them. This is completely ridiculous and uncalled for! I really want my money back because this is fridge 5, all ice makers with way too many issues, unfixable! All within the first year! I could go on and on but this is just the tip off the iceberg. Today they told me I had to call the service guy to set my time but they had already give them a dispatch number. Called and guess what no #. Sooo again I had to call again! I think I need to be on their payroll!

These are the worst appliances I have owned. I purchased a Dishwasher, Gas Range and French Door Refrigerator. The Refrigerator was replaced after one year because the Ice Maker never worked after being repaired several times (including once where Electrolux told the repair tech to push the sides of the fridge next to the ice maker). After 5 repairs to a leaky dishwasher (Electrolux knew about this one) besides damaging the cabinets, it still doesnt clean properly (you have to wash dishes before putting them in the dishwasher). The Range started to emit a gas smell when it was working. This was repaired and lasted two weeks before starting again. Now I am waiting for the part which may or may not fix both the gas smell and get the oven to actually work. Do not even consider these appliances. Electrolux knows they are defective but will not do anything about it. The glorious reviews online are not what they seem. I have had Whirlpool appliances, GE Profile appliances and now Electrolux. On a star rating for Electrolux, I would give it a one because there are no negative ratings.

We first bought an Electrolux Icon French style (2 doors, bottom freezer) 6 years ago as part of a kitchen reno, along with matching wall ovens. From day one the ice maker had nothing but problems - service calls every few months. They did do 1 repair after the warranty expired. The next time I called they offered to replace the fridge at cost, and we agreed as we wanted to maintain the look of the kitchen. The ice maker on this unit worked, but after about a year the unit appeared to lose its mind and would randomly give high temp warnings, and then be OK for a day or two. Service tech diagnosed ice build up in the freezer and evaporator and recommended a full defrost. We did that and it was OK for few months, then happened again. This repeated 6 months later, and now again for the 3rd time. This time I pulled out the usin and noticed a huge patch of rust on the stainless steel back plate right behind the ice maker. So, looks like the ice maker has an internal leak, which builds up as ice inside the unit and eventually screws with the temp sensors. The door gasket is also now disintegrating. Bottom line - these people do not know how to design or build reliable refrigerators. They are quite literally junk. The ovens have been great though :).

I have had so many service calls (10+) due to the inferior quality of my Electrolux French Door Bottom Freezer ice-maker, I cant even count them. Thank goodness, I purchased the extended warranty, BUT the inconvenience of having to call for repair, doing without, and waiting for repair to come fix is extremely frustrating. I will be happy when this piece of junk is out of warranty as I will gladly to forced to purchase a new one........ NEVER an ELECTROLUX product!UPDATED ON 04/17/2015: I am on my 2nd Electrolux refrigerator. This 2nd one is only because it was a replacement for the 1st one due to its poor performance with the ice maker. Now, there is trouble with the ice maker on this one. I am awaiting for the part that is supposedly a fix. The part was ordered on 3/30 and is supposed to arrive at my home. Then, I am to call for the repairman to come install it. Going on 18 days and then call and wait for the repairman to schedule... REALLY? With all the trouble I have had along with many, many other people who have had this refrigerator, I would NEVER choose another Electrolux refrigerator. We will not buy Electrolux appliances any longer and I encourage others to beware of them. They will not stand behind their product. Back in 2010 we paid around $3,000 for a new Electrolux Refrigerator thinking that it would last a long time. Within one year, I had to make service calls because the ice maker wouldnt work right. Finally after a year they did give us a new refrigerator. Well, of course the ice maker on the second one has never worked right. Come to find out from the repairman after spending $500 on a service call is that the first two years Electrolux made the refrigerator, the freezer was not made right. We had a new kit put on for $500 at our own expense and according to the repairman there is nothing else he can do. Not only did I spend $3,000 for a new refrigerator but $500 for a service call when in fact this never fixed anything. I contacted the Customer Service area in Georgia and they refuse to do anything. They claim the service company should make it right. Well the problem is that they cant own up to the fact that the first two years these refrigerators were made the ice maker in them never worked right and is made so that once they quit working, nothing can be done to repair them. How outrageous is that? We also bought Electrolux dishwasher and stove from Electrolux. Well, they have lost a customer for life. Talk about dishonesty -- Why didnt they recall these refrigerators in the first two years they made them and supply people with one where the ice maker actually worked and could be repaired. I have two pages of notes about service calls to people. Beware of Electrolux. They will not stand behind their product and when you call their service center they just pass the buck to call the repair people and pay to fix it when nothing fixes it.

In 2009, we purchased all Electrolux products from Lowes. BIG MISTAKE..... The oven/cook top is now receiving the 5th service call. Do not self clean this oven.... it can only take about 10 times and then one of the 8 boards will burn and fail. The fridge has had 4 service calls. The control board for ice maker fails once a year. The plastic shelves break. The Ice maker bin broke from ice dropping into it. The microwave has had one. The dishwasher has operated with no service calls but it is not as good at fully cleaning than others I have had in the past.Lowes is no help. Electrolux customer service has no ability to assist in persistent issues. They just say we need to purchase the warranty. We could have bought a new oven with the money we have paid on repairs and the cost of a warranty would by now paid for a new oven as well. 2 weeks ago the fridge was repaired. Luckily we have a 12 year old fridge in the garage that has never had service once as a back up. Our gas grill is our back up when we need oven/cook top service once a year.

I have been speaking with Electrolux customer service representatives for a week now regarding my Frigidaire range and the exploding glass that scattered all over my kitchen when I opened the oven door. Much to my disappointment, the Electrolux customer service representatives have explained to me that they have no responsibility to address this situation or provide my family with a safe oven because the range is no longer under the 12 month warranty. To say the least, I am appalled at this response. My family was exposed to glass exploding in my kitchen. My feet were cut, and my husband spent hours cleaning glass from every corner of our kitchen. We are just thankful that our young child was not in the kitchen and seriously injured. According to Electrolux customer service representatives, a slight bump of the oven door months earlier could cause the glass to explode in this manner. How is this a safe product? Our Frigidaire glass oven door exploding in our kitchen is a horrific safety hazard, and I am deeply disturbed by Electroluxs failure to rectify this situation.

Im on my 3rd replacement Electrolux refrigerator. This replacement is an Electrolux French Door refrigerator. It has been seen by two different Electrolux appointed certified repair shops. The problem is the interior casing is melting near the top 2 bulbs. Both repairmen from different repair shops said that they have been seeing this problem, and that some have heated to the point of serious damages. I was told by both Electrolux repairmen, that the problem was irreparable, and reported it as so to Electrolux. Electrolux disagreed with both repair shops. Electrolux continues to try to send a repair shop, to agree to do the repair their way. Electrolux continues to evade the big problem of fire, and continues to be inconsistent with its responses to me. Last week, they said it is absolutely irreparable, and this week, left a message on my machine, that denied the replacement, in lieu of some Epoxy to do a cosmetic repair. What about the high heat from the bulbs? What about the repair shops that deny this resolution? Is this a fire hazard or not? I still have warranty.

We bought our French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator in October 2009 as a result of upgrading and remodeling our kitchen. The installation did not occur until April/May 2010 and we had problems with a leaky ice maker, intermittent making of ice, noisy clicking doors, and notification of expired air filters after 3 months of use. We called one week after the 1 year of purchase anniversary date and they told us our warranty had expired. We called customer service in 2012 and 2014 to express our dissatisfaction with all the problems that continued. They had a log of all our calls and still did nothing to make the refrigerator function correctly. After spending $3,600.00 for a high end refrigerator and have a lemon at that, Electrolux took no ownership for their problems. In January of 2015, the ice maker stop functioning all together. The service tech advised us this past week, there have been over 9 updates of the model we bought and there have been numerous faulty issues from Electrolux. It seems that this is a common problem and there are many consumers with the same complaint with this appliance. Why cant we all pursue a Class Action Suit? There are some of us that remained quiet and didnt scream loud enough and now we have the consequence of a lousy functioning refrigerator. By the way, the display on the temperature started to disappear in 2014. The technician states I need to spend $1,000.00 to purchase 2 kits to bring my refrigerator up to par (and since DAY 1 it has never worked correctly). Also, there is no guarantee after 90 days something else will break. This was the worst purchase of an appliance we ever made. Today the customer service corporate manager failed to help us make this situation go away and failed to assist the consumer to feel right about a costly purchase that never worked. There needs to be a better way to alert the public about Electrolux quality. There are too many of us as unsatisfied consumers with the same flawed design refrigerator complaining about Electrolux not taking action on their substandard appliances and for NOT doing the right thing.

Cleaning issues with my Electrolux Icon dishwasher go back to just a few mo
Cleaning issues with my Electrolux Icon dishwasher go back to just a few months after we purchased our home in June, 2015. There have been drainage problems and leakage problems, but the most consistent problem has been the fact that the top rack does not clean. Three authorized Electrolux licensed companies have worked on the dishwasher. Every part on the dishwasher has been replaced. Ive purchased countless cleaning products recommended by the technicians and the problem has not been solved. The top quarter of the dishwasher does not rinse clean and there is always food standing in the bottom of the machine (causing a terrible odor - one technician told me to rinse and wipe by hand - I have never had to do that before). I have requested a copy of my service record but was told that it was not available to me but that the technicians have all the information. The wrong part has been ordered twice (or just the wrong one sent... no one is quite sure) which means I have been confined to my have home twice in the past two weeks with no work done on the machine. Last month a technician said he just didnt know what else could be done, but when I told Customer Service this they said the technician hadnt put this in writing. Apparently there is a procedure that must be followed to get a replacement review for a product that cannot be fixed and it must be initiated by a technician. All this is in the notes that the CS reps says he is adding to my file, but I have very little faith in that. I get a different person each service call and they always want to try one more thing! I did purchase an extended service contract last year so I am not out any money at this time (although I paid over $400 after the warranty was up and my builder paid about the same), but I have devoted a tremendous amount of time and energy trying to get this fixed. My contract is up in July and I told Customer Service that I fully expected this to be resolved before then and not dragged out so that my contract expires before it is settled. I have four boxes of unusable parts being stored at my house. Electrolux could have bought me two new dishwashers for the amount of parts and labor that have been wasted on this machine. I have tried to be patient with this situation, but I have been tested to the limits and want some results.

I purchased a house with Electrolux Icon appliances. In the first two months, the ice maker required four service calls to get working reliably; the microwave required one to the get door aligned so it would operate, and the dishwasher required two service calls. These were all paid for by Electrolux. After 18 months, the dishwasher is now giving the error 1 code, which appears to very problematic and difficult to diagnose/repair, and one burner on the stove smells like gas, even when it is on, rendering it unusable. At the prices that these appliances cost, one would expect them to run when new, and to last more than 18 months.

In 2011, my wife and I installed Electrolux appliances in our new home: Range model EW301S65JSA; Dishwasher model EIDW6105GS1A; Microwave model E124M0451BA; and Refrigerator model EI28BS56ISD. To say that we have been disappointed would be an understatement. Over the past 3 years we have resided in the house for approximately 20 months. During that time, every one of the appliances has failed. The refrigerator stopped making ice. An Electrolux-certified repairman replaced the control board twice, replaced a faulty solenoid once, and finally replaced the entire refrigerator with a new unit. The microwave display failed after approximately 9 months, so that we are unable to read a portion. Three days ago, the dishwasher stopped in the middle of a cycle: all lights on the pad on the top of the door remained unlit; no lights appeared on the panel behind the kick plate at the base of the unit; turning off power for 30 minutes and then turning back on produced no change. The range has occasionally beeped and flashed an F11 warning, which we have resolved by turning off power for several minutes then turning back on. Today, the F11 error and beeping appeared, and after shutting off power for 30 minutes the error continues. To summarize, every Electrolux unit we purchased has let us down. Currently, two are not functioning. We will have to pay the exorbitant cost of repair. Sadly, it seems we will have to replace the units sooner than expected, and with appliances that have a better track record than Electrolux.

Purchased range in 2004 price $2000.00. Had insurance until the clock on the range needs to be replaced. I called Electrolux, the part is not available anymore. The repairman person recommended by Electrolux is trying to find a used clock, otherwise, my range will be unavailable for cooking. Electrolux was notified by me since the warranty is over, they refused to do anything. What is my option, throw out the range, I cannot afford that. The company will not help me in any way with a refund price for the rebuild clock or the company getting me a clock somewhere. Need answers soon. Please help.

Purchased a brand new fridge, had nothing but problems with it as it does not work at all. Have had people come out to service it numerous times and still nothing. I have waited on hold on the phone for over an hour before having to hang up. Emailed three times and received nothing other than the automated response. Terrible customer service, terrible appliances. Would never recommend Electrolux and wish I had read previous reviews.

This fridge fit the existing under the cabinet space. 5 years in, every plastic piece of trim has cracked or broken. I love everything about the inside, but it looks horrible. Cheap plastic on a very expensive refrigerator. I was worried about the noisy ice maker. Honestly it is a 6 second noise every once in a while. This trim, another piece breaks off every week.

Filed a claim against extended warranty - 4 months ago. Let me caveat by saying telephone customer service personnel (front line) very helpful or seem to be. I have been trying to obtain a glass cooktop. To date... 6 AUG 15... unsuccessful after 3 shipped broken and 1 shipped with incorrectly installed securing brackets. I reside in Hawaii so shipping is a factor. However, Electrolux managed to ship the stove here for sale so I feel they should be able to provide the same service and parts availability. I have opened email dialogue with Electrolux with no result other than a thank you for notifying them of my situation. The unit was manufactured and purchased in 2013 and I have had nothing but trouble with it since. HELP PLEASE!!!

Electrolux is the worst appliances I have ever owned. Do not buy these appliances. The refrigerator had a recall and because we did not know about it we did not act on the issue. 18 months later the ice maker went bad on our refrigerator and they said they could not honor the claim. We have spent about $500 for the repairs on this refrigerator and it is only 3 years old. Bad quality, bad service. Nothing good about Electrolux.

We bought a new home in 2015. By new, I mean just built. It came with the Electrolux ICON appliances. These appliances are not worth the money. They are poorly constructed and have been repaired several times. They even have safety defects. The Gas cooktop is poorly designed and a danger to all that own it. It needs to be recalled. The burners are placed too far forward and make it impossible to use the front burners. The flames from the burners extend too far out from the base and can easily catch your clothes on fire. The knobs on the gas cook top also turn on by mistake. They easily turn and leak gas if you lightly brush against them. Kids can easily turn them on. These are a real safety issue and need to be recalled. The ICON dishwasher has been a nightmare. It does not dry the dishes and the control panel is always going out. It just starts flickering and has to be replaced. The fridge is ok but the ice and water dispenser are poorly designed and always leave ice and water falling on the floor. They really need to recall the gas cook top. Parents beware!!!

The gas burns do not all reliably ignite when turned on. The heat range is also not adequate with 3 of the 4 burns having too much flame when turned to low setting. The largest burner sometimes does not light for up to 5 attempts and has been explosive when it finally does ignite. This has pretty well been the case from the time we first used this stove. We have two Electrolux dishwashers as we do a lot of entertaining. They do not always thoroughly clean the dishes and we have to do a secondary sink wash which was not the case with previous dishwashers we have owned.Lately our Electrolux refrigerator door light switch has been failing intermittently. All of these Electrolux appliances are now 2 years old. The dishwashers and stove have not been right since they were new. They were all bought as a suite when our house was new. We are dissatisfied with the appliances and the dealer who sold them to us and falsely advertised them to be reliable.

Based on positive reviews across the web, bought Electrolux EFLS617 washer
Based on positive reviews across the web, bought Electrolux EFLS617 washer and matching dryer. Empty Nest household - Washer quit after 6 weeks. Warranty service into 3rd week wait. Local Service provider stated failed part is recall, and tells us min 2 weeks. I call 2 weeks later, part ordered through distributor and is on back order with no eta available. Called Electrolux for help to on recalled part; Electrolux rep stated part is not recall and would not assist in tracking part down. Asked to speak to customer satisfaction dept; rep stated This is Electrolux customer satisfaction and said no more. It appears Electrolux reps are trained robots assigned to only check failed appliance is registered under your name. This rep deflected all my questions to local service provider. No help, no empathy, no apology for failure or inconvenience. Attitude not helpful - I suspect that failure is their normal. And I’m stuck without a washer. Sorry I bought this washer.

As part of a luxury kitchen renovation we chose Electrolux appliances. Built in refrigerator with matching built in freeze, double ovens and induction cooktop. The freezer broke within the first year and it was like pulling teeth to get someone to service it. Electrolux would not stand behind their product and while waiting for parts it just started working again. We lost all our food twice. Its worked since then but often freezes up inside and often has a huge amount of condensate on the exterior. Similar issues with the fridge. They replaced the gasket on the door which did not make a difference other than now I have a gasket that isnt fully attached. Most recently the induction top died. Three weeks to get a service tech here and it is going to cost $ 1,100 to fix a three year old cooktop. I will never buy this brand again and as a leading remodeling contractor in two states, I will not let me clients buy Electrolux either. No help from Electrolux or the dealer.

2010 from Lowes we purchased all matching stove dishwasher and dumped dishwasher about 2 years later. Stove minor problems and been ok But OMG had a party and a non-working ice maker over and over all the same things. No ice, display not working, rusting in ice maker. When it works many repairs. Now a ef code a hif code and they want me to buy. I tape our conversation if it could not be fixed it would replaced at no cost new not refurbished. Explained how many tries before it happens no more than 3. I am afraid it is BS. I am surprised that nothing happens. I am going to record the whole conversation and if they do not have same info in the new contract I will have proof. So over it. Watch out. Spent way too much to be treated like that.
