I purchased a Frigidaire Profession French Door fridge in October 2017. It has been nothing but TROUBLE. The ice maker broke and flooded our wood floors. The cool drawer froze the vegetables and fruits. The compressor broke down. We lost hundreds of dollars in food. The fridge stinks to high heaven, in fact my whole house smells of rotten food. Weve had the approved repair people out to look at it 5 times. It now smells so bad that it must be replaced. I have cleaned it several times with every product suggested to remove smells. Frigidaire owned by Electrolux has denied our request for a replacement even though the fridge is under warranty and 7 months old. NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM FRIGIDAIRE OR ELECTROLUX!

Six years ago I remodeled my kitchen and replaced all the appliances with Frigidaire Gallery (with the exception of my refrigerator which is just Frigidaire.) Since that time all but the microwave has failed in some way multiple times. In this case the oven - the plastic film over the digital display doesnt stay put. It slides down so you cant read the display - you have to take apart the back to glue it back in place only to have it do it again. The front right burner is almost useless. It take so long to heat anything. The oven says it is finished preheating, but when things were coming out uncooked all the way through, I checked the temperature and it runs about 25 degrees lower than its set for. You have to give it another several minutes to heat up to what you have it set to. Yesterday, I heard a pop and black smoke came out the back - the computer board failed. Customer service with Frigidaire is a waste of time. The last time I called them, it was the third time my Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher had failed in four years, twice for the same reason. They offered to sell me an extended warranty for $350. When I said I wouldnt put another dime into this dishwasher, I would buy a new one first, the CS manager laughed at me because the warranty would be cheaper than buying a whole new dishwasher. The local store where I bought it fixed it free of charge. When it failed the fourth time, I bought a Bosch and love it. Im not bothering to call them about the oven - buying a new one (different brand!) today.

I purchased a 24 Frigidaire wall oven with broiler (model number fgb24t3ec) in in March of 2009. The hinge has dislodged from oven 5 times. Also, when the oven is hot, the door gets stuck, and wont open. Frigidaire states no recall on this product, and no complaints similar to mine.

This may come as a surprise to many people, but Frigidaire is NOT part of General Motors. In 1979, General Motors sold the Frigidaire line to White Consolidated Industries (WCI). Less than a decade later, in 1986, the Swedish company Electrolux purchased WCI. Today, ELECTROLUX REMAINS THE OWNER OF the FRIGIDAIRE group. So while Electrolux might have been good at making vacuum cleaners, they apparently have problems with larger appliances. I noticed an another post that somebody mentioned American made in reference to his refrigerator. I am not sure if this applies to everything with the Electrolux/Frigidaire label, but mine is clearly labeled Made in Mexico.

Ive owned my Frigidaire refrigerator for two years. Within that time I have had 7 repairs -- mainly to the ice maker. I finally had the ice maker disconnected as I had stopped it through the panel but the fan was still running and making wild noises. Even unplugged it is making wild noises. If this thing catches on fire, Frigidaire is going to have a huge lawsuit on their hands. By the way -- right after the last repair, the handle of the bottom freezer fell off.

The Frigidaire FFGC3626SS 5 pilot gas range is very pretty and I like everything about it - EXCEPT - The knobs started breaking within a month of installation and all 5 knobs broke 3X within the first year. I was given two free sets, but now, since it is a few weeks past 1yr from purchase (but within 1 year of actual installation & use). I am being offered new knobs at $17.00 each (the full price is $75.00 each for PLASTIC knobs). There is no warranty on the new knobs. The Frigidaire website is FULL of 1 star reviews due to these knobs breaking. Apparently, the heat from the range makes the stems on the knobs brittle & the stems snap & making the knobs completely useless. I did not buy the extended warranty - One reviewer stated that the knobs are not covered by it anyway, but I havent confirmed that. I am down to 1 working knob on a 14 month old gas range. BTW, the size is unique & hard to fit with universal knobs from other makers. Run Away from Frigidaire Range Tops!!!

I self cleaned my Frigidaire range and the next day when I went to broil the element made a pop sound and sparks began to fly from the oven. The relay board shorted and the tech from Frigidaire wants 550 with parts and labor to fix this issue. Frigidaire wants no part of the problem and could care less about there consumer. My oven is like new. I live in a warm climate where we grill outdoors and barely use an oven. The expense is huge to put into an oven an whose to say it wont happen again.

My experience with my Frigidaire Gallery has not been a good one. I purchase a set and paid for extended warranty in 2011. Within my first year of my purchase I have had issues with the refrigerator and stove. The first refrigerator had a recall and I was given another one. Once I received the new one I had to call a tech through ACH a company that was referred by the insurance for any problems with the product. I was paying a monthly fee for the service that only resolved the issue temporarily. After paying for service that wasnt beneficial cost-wise, I canceled. The appliances are not good and doesnt withhold the value at all. I refuse to constantly pay for service on a product that is always in need of repair. As of now my ice maker is NOT working, the dishwasher is NOT working, two of the five burners are NOT working, and last but not least the microwave doesnt get warmer or cook. It just go through the motions of coming on.Im clearly NOT satisfied with the products and know there is nothing that can be done without paying a large amount of money to fix. I would probably come out better buying a whole new set and a different brand. This brand is NOT what it use to be! I am overwhelmed by the reviews. Never thought that this many people had problems and I wish I would have seen this before my purchase. What is even worse is no one had a good experience and the company dont care. What a RIPOFF!!! I cant even submit unless I check one star that I dont want to give. WOW.

Frigidaire Refrigerator Prof SXS - Never Again. Worst purchase ever made! This was a lemon from the get go but Frigidaire does not replace - they just continue to put on bandages. Every year since I have owned this piece of junk I have had to have it serviced at least once a year. I have paid over $600 for extended warranties thinking that eventually everything would be fixed. Boy was I wrong. Now it is leaking water (not from ice or water dispenser) but randomly down the right side of the unit even with the water spigot to the frig turned off. Two service calls later they still dont know whats wrong and in the mean time I have warped hardware floors (2nd time this frig has leaked) and no resolution. The only thing this refrigerator is good is displaying magnets. Once this years warranty runs out, this frig it out of here... and no more Frigidaire/Electrolux for me!

We bought the whole suite of Frigidaire appliances for our kitchen a little less than 3 years ago. We have had to repair the refrigerator twice (the ice maker and the water filter) and now the microwave has stopped working. The repairman stated that 4 parts are needed and it will be roughly $300 to repair - that is roughly half of what we paid for the unit. I called Frigidaire and expressed my frustration - I should expect the appliances to last more than 3 years! I was told without the extended warranty, there is nothing they can do. I told them my previous appliances lasted 20 years without repairs and they should have more pride in what they produce. These are not durable or quality products! And, like many others - the refrigerator freezes some items, the stove is inconsistent, and the dishwasher barely cleans! Just not good products!

I was told to try all kinds of tests like unplugging the unit, wait 5 minutes, plug it in and turn the thermostat all the way up, then down, then up again, then down..... all to no avail... I have had to have the stove fixed twice (at my cost) and the dishwasher is now broke down for the third time (also our cost) and we have now decided to buy a new dishwasher instead of putting more money into this one. If the stove breaks down again we have been advised to not repair it anymore. I look after my belongings very well and I expect products to last a lot longer than 35 months!! We work so hard for our money and when we buy a product they should be able to stand behind it. Buyer beware DO NOT buy any of these products.

Long story short 3 1/2 months later I personally had to drive to a shopping facility to get my (installed fridge) because they couldn’t ship without more paperwork from Frigidaire. My wife purchased the extended warranty service from Frigidaire in case our Frigidaire washing machine or dryer went out. After our washer stopped working due to some type of drum problem. Frigidaire sent a technician (American TV and electronics), who did not open the washer but tried to inspect the problem by trying to spin the drum. According to the technician there was something stuck in the drum and they required authorization from Frigidaire to continue with repairs. Frigidaire refused to authorize repair and called it customer neglect. Well, I opened the washing machine myself and opened the washer tub assembly, only difficulty was the weight of the tub assembly.Needless to say there was no clothing stuck in the drum. I ordered the rear bearing (manufacturer defective; 1 year old Frigidaire affinity washer - $900.00 dollars) which I personally switched. Washer is working perfectly. Lazy technicians did not want to check interior problem. Requested refund for extended warranty for both washer and dryer. Frigidaire said that they were going to charge technicians fee. Two weeks have passed and there has been no refund. By the way when my wife called Frigidaire they kept telling her that their district manager had been e-mailed for authorization. Being in retail myself all decisions go to location manager. As a school teacher I will let my students now that Frigidaire will not stand by their product, nor their warranty promise.

After at least 10 service call by Judd & Black a local business our unit was finally replaced by Electrolux. Now 10 months later our new unit does not cool. We are beyond frustrated to say the least. I purchased all new appliances for our kitchen 3 years ago. We bought the professional series 2 door refrigerator with the bottom freezer, the professional dishwasher, the professional cooktop, the professional double oven and the gallery convection/microwave with the ventless hood.. We have had continual issues with the double oven model number fpet3077rfa. Initial install the motherboard and fans burned and almost caught our house on fire. Then we used the self cleaning mode a few months later and the upper oven had several failures and took over 2 months to get it properly repaired. Now both ovens do not cook food evenly. The back half will be burned and the front half will not be fully cooked. Two weeks ago our convection/microwave model number fgmv154clfa completely stopped working. It is not the breaker and there is power to the unit. We have called a service company but they are two weeks out before they can make it here. Our refrigerator is making strange noises and with all we have had to deal with it is overwhelming. We spent a lot of money getting what we thought was quality, top of the line appliances that would last us 10 years plus and they have been problems since day 1. We will not purchase Frigidaire products again.C.

I purchased a Frigidaire microwave on November 2018, October of 2019. The microwave rack caught on fire. I filed a claim with Frigidaire. They sent a technician to my home who never opened the panel. He sprayed it with spray paint changed the hook. The microwave now knocks the power out in my kitchen. I spoke to a corporate supervisor who sent another technician out who was very rude, stated he was not working behind another technician, he should have done the job right the first time and he left my home. I called the supervisor back, she sent another technician out. He opened the microwave, took pictures, referred back to his phone and it still doesn’t work. He stated it may have to be taken back to the shop. He left without the microwave. I called his office back and was told he ordered more parts which was not what he stated to me. I called the supervisor back and she stated that she would need to send another technician out. I explained how angry I am at this point. I feel that no one not even the corporate supervisor cared about me or my families safety are danger. And I will never purchase another Frigidaire product and I will be sharing my experience with everyone who I know and more. Anytime the corporate Supervisor told me to take the microwave back to Home Depot and they would have to take it back once they hear my frustration is said, not only did she lie she knew she was brushing me off. Still unresolved. Truly dissatisfied former customer.

As a result of an inability to control freezer temperature, food in freezer got freezer burn and in fridge any beverages next to freezer wall got ice in them. Service company, Anderson Appliance of Pensacola, was very responsive and tried replacing all electronics to no avail. After replacing two boards and reprogramming them, they declared it a defective refrigerator and put me in contact with Frigidaire warranty. At first this was a very frustrating process as they only wanted to replace it with the replacement for that model which would not match the finish on the 3 appliances we bought at the same time while building our custom home. We expected that any replacement provided would have to match the other Frigidaire appliance we bought less than 6 months before.I wound up calling and getting another warranty representative who was sympathetic to our issue and immediately had the supervisor upgrade us to the only refrigerator with the same finish at no cost to us. Juanique and Matt ** were very helpful in quickly resolving our issue and following up to ensure that the vendor we bought the refrigerator from ordered our replacement and did not charge us for it. Although it took a long time to get the initial approval, once I found the right staff in the warranty department, our new refrigerator was delivered within a few weeks. We love the new refrigerator which holds its temperature in both compartments and are thankful that Frigidaire helped us resolve this issue to our satisfaction.

We bought several Frigidaire appliances, including a stove and refrigerator. We purchased the extended warranty on all of the appliances. We have had nothing but trouble with the stove and refrigerator. Both these appliances have been serviced at least 3 times and yet the problems persist. Because the warranty has expired, they will not service them any more, yet the same issues remain. The oven takes forever to heat up, even on quick preheat, and signals that it has reached the pre-set heat level, 200 degrees before reaching it. The fridge leaks water from the ice maker which then freezes on the shelf just above the freezer compartment. We are extremely frustrated and feel the appliances should have been repaired properly in the first place and should be repaired even though the warranty has expired. There is obviously a factory defect in both the stove and fridge. These problems existed from day one. If we could give less than one star, we would, and I would certainly not recommend Frigidaire appliances to any of my friends or relatives.

My oven range that was less than a year old started on fire. Thankfully no one was hurt. Simply put, the technicians the company hires to do the repairs only work 8-5, Monday thru Friday. Not convenient for people that work full time. There are plenty of technicians in the area that work after hours and weekends. Frigidaire as a company chooses not to pay the technicians that will work convenient hours. I got a new house, and I and my wife went appliance shopping. We got sold on Frigidaire Professional series appliances (refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher). I gotta say ever since I had them, I have always had issues with them. You would think you spend over $3,000 on appliances and they would last over 4-5 years. First, the refrigerator started acting up, then 2 heating coils broke on the flat-top oven. The microwave shorted out, and my dishwasher control board caught fire and almost burned my house down (Thank God, I was up and smelled it.). I contacted Frigidaire, and they took no responsibility at all. They told me it would be a few weeks and I would get some info in the mail. Needless to say, I never received it; and a second call to Frigidaire has the same outcome. Being in the customer service field, I say Shame on Frigidaire. I share my horror story with every customer I can. Theres no accountability, respect, integrity, or servanthood on Frigidaires part. With the customer service I have received, I will never purchase another Frigidaire/Electrolux product. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I will not be fooled again by Frigidaire products. They received my payment once but lost a potential lifetime customer. When I am asked by others on what appliances they should purchase and which company will stand by their products, Frigidaire/Electrolux will be the one I tell them to stay away from. Not only will the appliances malfunction prematurely, but they are a safety hazard in your home. At this point, I have no Frigidaire/Electrolux products in my home (Craigslist free ad with warnings). My wife and I both decided they are not worth keeping for family safety reasons.

Ever since we got this top of the line fridge new, Eve noticed that the ice maker is nearly useless. If you use ice then be prepared to constantly turn on the quick freeze option, which really doesnt help either, but at least you get some ice. Now though to make matters worse, the ice hopper has broken, the ice maker drips water out of the front door and spews water all over our floor every time we open the door. The ice turns into gigantic chunks, the width of the entire hopper, by melting together- I cant even open the door without trying to break the chunks by running the ice maker, and risking burning up the motor. So I ordered a replacement unit, but everyone must be having this issue because theres a nationwide backorder. Last time I buy this brand, it sure looks nice, but only if you dont need an ice maker.

On two occasions, delivery men have brought out a new dishwasher but then, mysteriously, the new machine was deemed broken in delivery and impossible to install. Ive been instructed to send copies of documents to prove our purchase even though they have record of the fact that she owns it. I am waiting for Frigidaire to deliver a serial tag to me - Im supposed to attach it to a rebate email. I have never received the tag.My belief is that Frigidaire is attempting to get out of replacing the product which has never worked by delaying until it is no longer in warranty. They are a dishonest company, run by incompetents or worse, they are criminals and are happy to take money and try to grind consumers down by making their service impossible to get all the while recorded messages assure those of us on hold that Frigidaire is concerned and cares about its customers. RUN, RUN, RUN, but do not buy anything any Frigidaire.

Frigidaire Refrigerator Model # LGHB2867PFLA: We purchased our refrigerator less than a year ago from Lowes. On November 16th the circuit board and inverter went out of the appliance. Got word today the part will not be available until December 8th. Mind you the appliance is only 10 months old. I will never buy another Frigidaire appliance. Im only giving it one star due to the fact that its the least amount I can rate Frigidaire.

I bought all Frigidaire Gallery appliances for my kitchen. Since then my refrigerator has broken at least 4. 1st was ice maker $150 then the whole motherboard $350. Now its the water inlet valve $150 and of course all this happens after the 1st year when the warranty expires. So the way I see it I paid for a new fridge in repair. Also bottom freezer door doesnt close right and is chipping away. Stay away from the P.O.S company. I contacted them to see about recalls and such all the recalls are for the model before it. This model has the same problems but no recalls. That is the biggest scheme. Stay away from this junk box.

2 years ago I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator and paid 850.00. I understood it was inexpensive but it was a small apartment sized refrigerator and had no bells, no whistles and so one would assume that the price was right for what you were getting, WRONG. This fridge may as well be a polished **. Just 1 month out of warranty the control board failed, so the freezer and the fridge compartments were warm and the control board just flashed. I paid to replace the control board with a new OEM from the manufacturer board, and this part cost me 200.00 But now just yesterday 7 months later the control board stopped working again and did exactly what the original one did. We are 5 days to Christmas and me without and once again without our Frigidaire fridge. 1,050.00 invested now in a small fridge and its just a stainless steel polish on a **.

Customer service nightmare. I purchased all new kitchen appliances from Frigidaire back in October. My microwave has broken twice. That is not the good part though. They sent someone out to reinstall the new one and they told me that the screws didnt match up so they could not install it. This was 5 weeks ago. They gave me numbers to call. No one calls me back. I have had to contact Frigidaire who also offers no advice. The truth is that the nuts on top of the microwave are not attached and rolling around loose in the machine. So there is nothing for the bolts to screw into. I have explained this again and again and nobody there understands what nuts are or the purpose of them. Frigidaire cannot wrap their brains around that and keep telling me there is nothing more that they can do. I have had a defective microwave in my kitchen since. Now the imbeciles refuse to call or email me back. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE A POINT OF TELLING EVERYONE TO BEWARE.

Purchased an LFID2426TF from Lowes almost a year ago Oct 2017. Dishwasher has had issues from the start with not draining completely, not washing the dishes thoroughly leaving a grainy baked on film behind and not totally drying them. Now recently the latch broke replaced that the dishwasher worked for a few days now. Start button continually flashing and dishwasher not working. Total piece of crap. Will never buy from these people again. Quality control is pretty much nonexistent with this company. If you want people to buy products made in the US then make good products that last longer than 9 months and do what they are meant to do in the first place...

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANYS BRANDS! I have a Frigidaire french door refrigerator that I bought new four years ago. I did not purchase the extended warranty and during the first year, I had at least two service calls for the unit not cooling. After the warranty period, the freezer would frost over and actually had ice build up inside the drawer that required I do a manual defrost.I came home from a trip and the temp in the refrigerator was at 67 degrees but the freezer was still working. The appliance repair tech that came to evaluate the unit said that both computers on the unit were not functioning and the repair was going to be ~ $500. He ordered the computers and when he came back, he pulled out the unit to check the freon and the back of the refrigerator was rusted. Its a known issue with Frigidaire and he called them to explain the issue so I filed a ticket to see what they would do for me. The options were that they would possibly replace it or pay a reasonable amount to me based on depreciation. I was told by the rep at the call center that the refrigerator was under a do not repair order so it should be repaired. After 10 days of waiting for the company to evaluate the unit, their final offer was a 25% rebate on another model. Ive been out several hundred dollars and am going to be out another $500 for computers on a unit that they know is defective or $1300 to replace the refrigerator. Im just going to bite the bullet and repair the thing vs. buying another piece of crap Frigidaire and be out approximately $1300 with the rebate that they offered. Really not good customer service that you admit the unit is defective and issue a do not repair order but dont back up your appliances. The builder put Frigidaire in my home, Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher but I guarantee you that as they fail, it wont be Frigidaire or any GE brand that will replace them. SHAME on YOU.

2 years ago we purchased 3 Frigidaire appliances, their French doors fridge model FPHB2899PF2, their gas slide in range and their dishwasher all in the Professional series. At the one year mark the dishwasher broke down and required replacement parts that Electrolux was aware of. The oven racks (3) are all approximately 1/4 inch too small. So when you put almost any weight on them they fall to the bottom of the oven. Best yet just shy of the 2 year mark the door ice maker died. We called Electrolux service who directed us to our local repair company who arrived at our house and spent 4 minutes and $100 to tell us that this particular Frigidaire fridge was garbage and that he has repaired or tried to many in his area. He told us ours was non-repairable. Long story short we daughter for numerous emails and calls with Electrolux to only end up with a partial credit towards a new purchase which would cover approximately 35% of the replacement cost. At this point we gave up. We did however reach out to Leons Furniture where we purchased the group only to be totally ignored! Needless to say we spend all of our efforts spreading our message.

I have purchased Frigidaire Model FFHT1831QP, Serial BA53635473. It SUCKS!! Had to get the seals replaced. The air chamber is misaligned (water laying on top shelf). Freezer doesnt work. They called it Intermittent Freezing. Yet the place that I purchased it from (though nice) did not offer to replace & I think they could. They are to have someone come out & look at it again. I WANT A NEW ONE! I didnt pay almost 700 dollars to have a brand new refrigerator already need several repairs. Then later when it has more problems Ill have to pay for it. Quite frankly Id love my money back & Id buy a totally different brand. My last refrigerator lasted me around 30 years with NO problems during this time. SO far I am not happy with the place that I purchased the refrigerator from as I believe they could offer to replace it immediately. I am not happy with Frigidaire so far. I will be happiest with a total refund. I would happy with them EASILY offering & providing me with a brand new refrigerator that is not this model/serial number & a better refrig. AS LONG AS IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!! Do NOT buy this model. The one guy that has been fixing these said that hes had calls on this model for these issues also.

Its been sitting in my kitchen unplugged for last year because it stopped cooling. When I called customer service the most unsettling thing about the whole situation is they didnt want to help me and really didnt show any concern that this refrigerator only lasted me 3 years. I just bought a fridge on Black Friday that was delivered to my house the Friday after. After the installation, I noticed the fridge beeping, but I thought that it was due to the fact that it hasnt reached the ideal temperature. During the weekend the fridge didnt stop beeping, even though it reached the temperature. We tried different things that we found on the internet, but nothing worked. On Monday I decided to contact the customer service, and they told me to turn the breaker off and on again. At the time that they ended my call, the fridge wasnt beeping just yet. As soon as I hang up the beep starts again. I proceed to call the customer service once again and let the representative know all the previous details and she puts me on hold for a brief moment. She then proceeds to give me the number of different companies around me that could service my brand new fridge. When I ask her for the procedure and if it was cover by the manufacturers warranty, she proceeds to tell me that this was not a functioning issue and that the service should be paid by me. I have gone to hundreds of internet pages looking for a solution to my problem, but instead, I found tons of people with my same fridge having the same issue as me. Frigidaire sells faulty products that they dont even back up. Please dont make the same mistake I did. Purchase another brand. This website rates them 4+ stars, but these reviews must have been purchased. Im sending back my fridge and getting another brand. I WILL NEVER EVER AGAIN BUY ANY FRIGIDAIRE BRANDED APPLIANCES.

I purchased the Frigidaire Gallery Series: Side by Side Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Gas/Convection Stove and Microwave. Each have problems that continue to this day: *Refridgerator - Control panel LEDs faded so it was unreadable, tech replaced the panel but the fridge had a Quick Ice feature when new but the tech replaced it without the quick ice feature.*Dishwasher- failed to operate at all. Tech replaced the control strip with washer selections but later found that this was not the problem. It needed the controller inside the door panel which he didnt have and had to order one. Waited two weeks for it to be replaced. Takes multiple attempts to get the washer turned on for cleaning. # Stove initial delivery came damaged. Replaced but after awhile gas smells emanate while using the oven, seems to be a chronic issue with this appliance. *Microwave - sounds tinny and cooks unevenlyI signed up with Frigidaire website and noted all of the above. Attempted to see if there was a response to my entry and found none. There was never any contact from them. Prior to that I posted my dissatisfaction on Facebook and received a message from a person that might have been a customer rep. When I attempted to contact this person I could not find the message again on Facebook. The issues all the appliances remain the same today. The oven is rarely used due to the gas smells/leaks. I understand that it might be an issue with a baffle??? I am totally dissatisfied with these appliances and even more so with Frigidaire/Electrolux lack of ownership of the brand and non-responsiveness from them as a company.

We have had our Frigidaire Affinity for EIGHT years with no problems whatsoever--till yesterday. The washer stalled on the spin cycle. Problem was wads of some kind of matted, tarry stuff on the drain filter. Stuff that comes off dirty clothes? Don't think I cleaned the washer every time it asked "Clean washer"? And think maybe that was the problem. OR, how to get out the gunk that accumulates on the filter? Where is my manual? Can't find. Otherwise, I have been DELIGHTED with my wonderful, stalwart Frigidaire Affinity. And even this problem is probably just use-related. And, it might be my own darned fault, just as Jimmy Buffett said.

Horrible! I will never buy another Frigidaire Product again. I have a 27 microwave oven in wall unit. I purchased the unit in June of 2009. In September 2011, the unit went out completely. Both the microwave and the oven went out. After arguing with Frigidaire for a while, I was finally able to have them cover parts to repair the unit. I had A&E Service repair the unit. They came out a total of 6 times. The first time, the person assessed the problems and had no parts on his truck, so he could not repair the unit. After Frigidaire spent over $800 in parts to repair the unit and 6 visits from A&E, the unit was finally repaired 6 weeks later. Mind you, I was not able to use my microwave or oven for 6 weeks. I have a problem with a company manufacturing a product that breaks after 2 years of use. There was a time when appliances lasted 20+ years. I understand companies wanting to make more money, but to manufacture a product that breaks after 2 years is ridiculous. Let alone the fact that they want you to purchase the extended warranty for repair, but that still costs them money for parts, supplies, gas and the customers time in having to be available for the 4-hour window for them to come out.

I purchased the microwave in November 2017. The door was opening with a bit of difficulty but I thought it was normal. Later on, I had to try 3-4 times to open it once. On Feb. 12th I called and they send a repair service company. The repair man wrote down 2 possible reasons: the door per se was damaged or it looked like the bottom door bracket was bent. He said that hell order a new door. If the issue will continue after that, Frigidaire will have to replace the microwave since the bracket cant be replaced.I waited 6 weeks for the door for it was on the backorder. Finally, the repair company received the door but it was broken... I waited another week, until they got another one (from the batch that was now in the Frigidaires stock). He installed the door but the issue persisted. So he said hed call them the next day and ask for the microwave to be replaced. He (and unfortunately I) did not think to try the microwave after installing the door. After he left I called his company because the microwave did not run at all, even with a hard-to-open door. He arrived after a few days and found something else was wrong (besides the door), namely a door switch. He ordered it from Frigidaire and left. After another week he arrived with the switch and installed it. But the microwave still would not work. He decided it was the thermostat. (THIS IS NOT A JOKE) and ordered it. Meanwhile we got to June and I went on vacation. He got the thermostat and came over to install it on August 1st. But the microwave would not work at all. (STILL, NO JOKE). He went to his car to look for some loose pieces. He was hesitant to call the company to order something else (and WHAT? because he had no idea what it was.) I advised him to call a colleague and ask for his/her opinion. Eventually he left saying that he will call Frigidaire the next day. Two days later he arrived with a piece that he said he had gotten from another colleague, familiar with Frigidaire products. He installed it and the microwave started running, still with the initial bottom door bracket bent and the door closing and opening with difficulty. I reminded him that he would have to call Frigidaire and say that the initial issue couldnt be fixed. BUT... SURPRISE: he said that I should be happy that the microwave works now. He said that Frigidaire never replaces appliances and it is practically a lost cause. It was clear to me that he was not at ease, since the whole story would prove that he wasnt a stellar repair man either.I couldnt believe my ears. So I understand that I have two incompetent parties here: one supplying bad products, the other supplying bad service. And I am in between, unhappy and angry as hell. I called the Dial Appliance myself and asked the manager to call since the repair man, Ishmail wont do it. The manager, Eugene, mocked me for even thinking of a replacement. Why dont you try it yourself? And good luck with it, he said. I called Frigidaire and there is not live person answering at all. They have a message, the same message that I heard several times along 2-3 months: In an effort to better serve poi, our agents are currently participating in a company collaboration & training session. We apologize for this inconvenience. One might say that after so much training theyd get better at what they are doing...

I purchased a Frigidaire stove oven combo from Lowe’s. Within 3 weeks, we realized with the oven set at only $350, it made the top front of the unit so hot it would burn. Upon calling Lowe’s, they suggested we call the service number for the manufacturer. I was on hold for so long. When I finally got help, they told me it was normal that the oven vented there. The other vent is back by the left burner. However, that area never got hot. So she said the warmer top front was within the manufacturing guidelines. I asked if they would just send out a repair man to verify nothing was wrong. She refused and said I would have to pay for any call myself. If I had little children, having this unit in their home would have been considered abuse. Here I am only two years later and last night when setting the oven at 425 it began burning and smoked out the entire kitchen. Never buy Electrolux products either as they own Frigidaire. And yes I tried to contact their customer service for help and that number was disconnected!

Purchased the fridge in May 2016 model # FFTR1821QW. Within a month it started making all kinds of noises. It was under warranty so Frigidaire sent someone out to look at the problem. They said it was a fan motor making the noise and replaced it. No sooner than a day later, the same noise, called again. Sent someone out, said they didnt know where the noise was coming from. Called again, sent someone else out who stated there have been several people calling in with the noises that are coming from the product and theres nothing that can be done. It sounds like someone is knocking at all hours of the day and night plus a crap-load of different sounds. Frigidaire says it normal for all these noises and they sent me a form letter of all the noises this could make. Frigidaire says all these noises are listed in the Owners Manual. DONT YOU GET THE OWNERS MANUAL WHEN YOU ACTUALLY OWN THE ITEM?Do not buy this product. The noises are loud, obnoxious knocking constantly. Every day they keep getting noisier and noisier. $500+ may not be a lot of money for a company like Frigidaire, but to its consumers its a lot of money to spend on a crappy fridge. I guess thats one way to make you buy a warranty, because you know its gonna break down at some point.

New house came with all new Frigidaire appliances. Within about 4 months, the dishwasher had a pretty serious leak at the base of the door. Repair took a month as the door panels took a long time to get to the repair company. The technician seemed uneasy about the repair but expressed that he was obligated to do it. His parting words were along the lines of, Well, lets see how it goes. A month later, the same leak returned. I called Frigidaire and told them that this time Id like a replacement. They told me that the repair technician would have to make that determination. The repair service said they would gladly come out, but rarely will Frigidaire replace anything, they always end up repairing. I impulsively went out and charged a new machine, which reading this forum makes me feel as if I did the right thing.A month ago, the microwave clock began running about an hour fast or shutting off. The bottom shelf of the refrigerator falls off its track locking the crisper draws in place. I think its criminal that a company is allowed to produce massive amounts of impossible to dispose garbage. I feel horrible that I am sending a less than one-year-old dishwasher to the dump. My last unit was going strong after nine years when I sold my last house. After the washer is paid Ill charge a micro, then eventually the fridge. We all work in this house and cant take the time to have all these repair people to come. This is really aggravating.

We manage a few properties and at one point ordered a few Frigidaire refrigerators. Three of them never worked upon arrival. I was thankfully able to get two of them replaced after several calls with the distributor because frigidaire refused. It has been a year and I still cannot get the third one fixed or replaced. I have had numerous calls dropped with their customer service, countless promises to have the item fixed, and even more promises that they would bring the needed parts to fix it the next time. I will NEVER purchase one of their products again for the sheer sake of how atrocious their customer service is. I hope you should never have to call their customer service, because after waiting on hold for a minimum of 30 minutes (there is no call back option), you will likely get someone who you have to re-explain the entire scenario to, they will still not understand, and your problem will still not get resolved. At this point Im likely to just throw away this refrigerator instead of wasting more time trying to get them to fix it. I was just on the phone for over an hour, they refused to give me a manager and the call surprisingly dropped. This has happened a number of times before when I have had issues and I never received a call back. 0/10 would recommend.

My wife and I recently purchased a new home, and the deal included relatively new kitchen appliances. Unfortunately, our Frigidaire refrigerator was of such bad quality, and our experience with the company was so poor, we felt obligated to document what weve encountered in hopes of informing others to avoid the brand. Our refrigerator was in reasonable shape upon moving into the house. Within 1 year of normal use by a family of 4, the plastic inside and outside the unit started showing fractures. Finally, random pieces of plastic, and then whole sections of shelves began breaking off.We called Frigidaire, who informed us the unit had been purchased by the original owner in 2010, so none of what we experienced was under warranty -- We were informed that the replacement price for a SINGLE SHELF was $60! Amazingly, they refused to cover the near-total deterioration of most of the plastic shelving in the unit under any sort of manufacturing defect agreement. Instead, wed be required to pay hundreds of dollars to replace the plastic shelves & moldings out of our own pocket. Frigidaire: The right call wouldve been to stand by your products by offering an apology and replacement shelves, if not for free, then at a reasonable price. Youve left a very bad taste in our mouths, and have certainly lost our trust and business.

In May 2015 we bought a brand new/just built home in RI. We bought 4 Frigidaire appliances for the kitchen (Microwave, Stove, Refrigerator, and dishwasher). In May 2016 I PAID Electrolux/Frigidaire to extend my warranty on the refrigerator. In the last week, Ive received multiple emails from Best Buy offering to extend my warranty on ALL this equipment. I called Electrolux/Frigidaire to clarify the status of the refrigerator, AND I dug into my files to find the 2016 agreement. To my shock, I discovered that the agreement I paid for in 2016 listed a completely different refrigerator, that THEIR records claimed Id bought from Lowes in 2014! Ive NEVER bought any appliance at Lowes, and in 2014 I lived in a completely different town and state than they had listed. This was DEMONSTRABLY THEIR DATA-CAPTURE PROBLEM. I wanted them to honor the warranty I PAID FOR and apply it to the correct appliance, the one that is actually standing in my kitchen now... The one I bought in 2015. THEN, I would have re-upped the contract, which was due to run out a month from now. THEY WOULD NOT DO THAT. Their only offer, return to me the pro-rated amount of my premium, which means probably 2 or 3 dollars. Meanwhile, IF my refrigerator had suffered a problem a month ago, or last year, I would NOT have been covered. In closing the data mistake could NOT have been made by me. It is literally impossible that I could have randomly invented model and serial numbers that match a refrigerator that is a different model, bought in a different year, from a different big box store. So, its demonstrably Electrolux/Frigidaire fault. And WHAT are they willing to do to make it right? NOTHING. ZERO. NADA. I shall never again buy: another Electrolux/Frigidaire product, or an extended warranty from ANY company. They are (Ill use the word again) DEMONSTRABLY a RIP-OFF!

I spent over $1800 in Sears on a small wall oven 5 months ago and what a waste of money. I used the Self Clean feature on the lowest setting for the first time, just to see what it was like. I followed the instructions and everything seemed fine. Until I went to use the broiler the next day. Nothing. Then I tried the oven. Again nothing. Neither would get hot. So I called Frigidaire and scheduled for a technician to come out. I was given a date and took the day off. He didnt show up and their customer service Reps were very rude. So I called back Frigidaire and scheduled for a different service company to come out. The Rep called me and asked what happened to the oven. After I told him, he said he knew what had happened and ordered a new thermostat. It took nearly 2 weeks to arrive. When he eventually showed up with a colleague, almost 4 weeks later, the oven didnt get fixed. The gas pipe is in the wrong position and they didnt want to touch it. So Im still waiting to get this oven fixed and Im extremely frustrated. Frigidaire is not a reliable company when it comes to the quality of their appliances or the companies they use to repair them. My previous oven lasted 30 years and this one didnt even last 6 months. I will NEVER buy another appliance made by them or recommend them to anyone. DONT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS!

I have purchased three Frigidaire appliances in the last month and only a single one (microwave) is functioning properly and/or installed. I am on the third side-by-side refrigerator and either they are delivered with damage (under packaging which means it is done at the factory) or they have loud compressors at times, and a convection range no one seems to know where it is..Shipped half a month ago and keeps missing delivery dates. I have communicated with a RShaye at Frigidaire and she has stopped responding indicating a total lack of caring whether I ever receive the products I paid for a month ago.

We bought a new Frigidaire refrigerator/top freezer about 2 months ago. (Model FFTR2021QW1). The freezer shelf sags when I put as little as 2 pieces of meat on there. A sagging shelf means half the freezer space is lost. And when I tried filling my freezer like normal - with things evenly spaced - the whole thing nearly collapsed. The companys customer service rots. So far the answers we got were, and I quote: my mom has the same refrigerator (truthfully, I dont really care); so dont put anything on the shelf (really now! So why did I buy this size model refrigerator/freezer? Or maybe the shelf is just for illustrative purposes only?); and get this: its supposed to sag. (Huh? For what purpose?). Basically, after a week of runarounds, Frigidaire wiped themselves clean from the fact that there is a defect in the shelf. I am so frustrated because now I have a completely user UNfriendly freezer.

Bought this in July 2017. Tho is is the style that has the freezer in the bottom. The first thing that broke was the visual temp lights. They just quit working one day. Next, the freezer handle is falling off. Next, it states the water filter last so many gallons or replace every 6 months. We are retired, no children, no one but us two. We must spend $72.00 every 4 months. This is pure junk. I wish I had my old Kitchen Aide back.

Purchased a stainless steel slide-in stove from Sears 2 years ago. It is a beautiful stove and my wife was very happy with it. She had called Frigidaire a few days after it was installed to find out what to use to clean and purchased all of the recommended cleaners. This stove was always immaculate. After about a year and a half the stainless steel control panel started peeling in a few spots making this otherwise beautiful stove look terrible. We checked our brochures and owners manuals and they all stated that it was made of stainless steel when in reality it is made of aluminum coated to look like stainless. We called Frigidaires customer service and I use that term loosely and asked them why my stainless stove is made of fake stainless and that told me it was real stainless. When I explained that mine was coated aluminum, they said they would have the technical people look into it and get back to me. They contacted me later and explained that my wife had scrubbed the outer layer of stainless steel off. What? And that for $250 they could send me a new stainless steel control panel. What? Thats right they are still trying to tell me that its stainless. Im not an attorney but this sure sounds fraudulent to me. I had good experiences in the past with Frigidaire but to misrepresent what you are selling is fraud and fortunately there are many other manufacturers to chose from.

We bought the Frigidaire Professional Series package from Build.com and since we installed everything in our new home we have had unresolved issues, dozens of service repairs and no resolve on multiple issues. The refrigerator makes loud noises (sounds like an airplane jet & chirping sounds). The oven racks do not slide in and out with ease and are scraping the coating off the inside of the oven and the surface cooktop is discolored with rust. Frigidaire did replace the range with another but we have the exact same issues again. The dishwasher never dries out and Frigidaire told us to leave the door ajar in between wash cycles.Every time we call Frigidaire we have to explain our situation over and over. The representatives just keep sending service repair out to work on brand new appliances. 4 different repair companies have been to our home since July 2016 when we moved in. The repair shops have even contacted the Frigidaire factory technicians to tell them we need a full refund on everything and Frigidaire declines the request. We have filed a complaint with the FTC and tried so many times to get our money back. Every time we request to speak with a supervisor who can resolve our problem they tell us we have no one else to talk to. Frigidaire refuses to own up to the defects in the Profession series line. Frigidaire does not stand behind their products.

My husband and I purchased all new Frigidaire Gallery Appliances on 3-22-2014. On August 5, 2018 the compressor went out on the refrigerator with no warning at all. It had not been running warm, it was not making any noises, the freezer just shot up to 34 degrees and the next morning the refrigerator was at 59 degrees. This is at minimum an $800.00 repair. We did not purchase the extended warranty, it would have been past the time of use anyway. In speaking to customer service at Frigidaire their only response was they will make note of my dissatisfaction with the product she also commented had I purchased the warranty this would have been covered since you have up to 13 years after you buy a product from Frigidaire to get one. Clearly, this company does not care about customer service or making a top notch appliance. The dishwasher died after months requiring a $275.00 repair. We will never purchase another Frigidaire appliance!

Wow, where do I start? Six years ago, we renovated a house and bought all new appliances. Lowes was having a sale on Frigidaire, so we chose all Frigidaire appliances (refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer). Almost immediately, we had a strange issue with the refrigerator. If you put items, i.e., sodas, on the bottom shelf, you cant open one of the crisper drawers. The weight of the sodas pushes down and prevents the drawer from sliding. Very poor design.About a year after the purchase, the dishwasher stopped working. We called out the repairman and the motor had gone bad. He said there was a series of motors that were bad and Frigidaire replaced the part for free but we still had to pay for labor. Also, it takes a long time for the stove to preheat. It takes 20 minutes to pre-heat to cook a pizza for 20 minutes. It is quicker to have a pizza delivered!Year three, the dryer stopped working. The main circuit board was burnt up. We were told it was not worth fixing and we had to buy another dryer. (We did not buy a Frigidaire). Now we are on year six. The clear coating that stops fingerprints on the stainless steel is wearing off both the microwave and refrigerator. This looks terrible. So, when we spend $3000 on appliances, we expect them to last more than 6 years. We are now faced with the thought that we will have to replace everything again. Poor design, unreliable, poor longevity, and looks terrible after a few years. We will never buy another Frigidaire product.

Just seems if you set a pot on it it will scratch very easy. Hard to keep clean. Ice maker jams all the time and had to replace filter 4 times already and we only use the maker once a day. I have had to call them out to adjust the doors. On the second trip I also pointed out the crisper drawers. The wheels are cracking and falling off. I only purchased this brand because the rest of the appliances were in the kitchen when we bought this house last year. Never again will I purchase one of their poorly manufactured refrigerator. If I want to fix it I would have to pay 187.00 I was told by the repair man. Its just over a year and half old. There are 2 people in the house over 60 so it was not abused. In January/February of 2016 I bought a brand new unit from this despicable company Frigidaire. Keep in mind when I buy a refrigerator I intend for it to last at least 4 to 5 years before it starts to give problems unless there is a natural disaster. Earthquake, storm, etc... in less than 9 moths the fridge light doesnt work. I went to numerous stores to get a light bulb thinking that the light bulb in the fridge blew out. Home Depot, Lowe’s, Orchard, etc… 7 different light bulbs were purchased and tested on the fridge yet none of them worked, I went as far as going back to Lowe’s and getting the light bulb that was used in the model on the floor and tested it, that didnt work either. Later that day I called Frigidaire customer support and got the most rudest, ignorant, discussing person on the phone. While shes babbling on and on about how it is my fault and how the company she works for is sooooo great Im trying to tell her that theres no way in hell that I could have done anything to the fridge if the unit is working and cooling things. I explain to her that is a self defrost fridge and that there are only 2 people in the household. I hung up refusing to get yelled at by someone who won’t listen to anything I have to say. Around 15 min after I had hung up I went to the fridge (with my flashlight) to get some lemonade. As soon as the grub on my right pinky finger touched the fridge door handle it detached from the fridge. I sat there next to the door handle thinking to myself well this is complete madness. The light bulb doesnt work and the fridge handle is not latched correctly. This company really needs to start manufacturing decent unit. Mark my words, NEVER WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THE CRAP FRIGIDAIRE SUPPLIES TO YOU... PS. waiting for my 3rd repair guy to show up on Friday. Let’s see how that goes.

I purchased the gas range 2 years ago. Within a month something had dripped down on the glass of the door and when I attempted to clean it, realized I was unable to because it was between the two layers of glass! Most ridiculous design. Id noticed that the back panel gets very hot when the oven or broiler is used. Tonight Im unable to turn off the broiler. Ive just been reading some of the other comments made by customers and realize it will almost be cheaper at this point to buy a new stove by another brand than to buy another piece of garbage like this item has turned out to be. The knob design is ridiculous as well. Leaky and different than any stove Ive had in the past. Think Im turning it off and its not off but LOW. Item looks good but shoddy made.Refrigerator is the same. This item looks good but dents so easily because the metal is so flimsy. My shelves are made of plastic and glass and the plastic has become brittle with the cold and many are developing cracks. I would sadly NEVER, EVER recommend this brand to a friend again. I have spent hours on the phone with these horrible customer service people who do absolutely nothing help and get and attitude when I explain how ridiculous it is to be waiting over three months for a part for my new dishwasher. Also I called Lowe’s who said I simply need to get a Return Authorization Number from them am they will take the dishwasher back. Frigidaire want me to give them time to see if they can find the part before they will give me the number. Is 3 month not giving them time? I was told today the part is on backorder and they have absolutely no clue when the part will be available. What kind of customer service is that? No ETA. Just sit around for a few months and somebody might make the part I need one day.

Dont buy Frigidaire, Electrolux, and sadly GE appliances (all one company now owned in Sweden). My Frigidaire side by side broke after less than 5 years and the only thing they will offer me after calling twice and speaking with a manager (first supervisors name was ** the second was **) both times is 50% off (not including shipping) a part needed when ordered through them after paying for a diagnostic visit of $78. After doing my research consumers should expect a fridge to last 10-15 years. This company only want to guarantee you that their $1,000-$3,000 product will last a year! After that they believe you should pay more to protect yourself from their poor quality and unreliable product as they will not stand behind and guarantee the quality.I think this is completely unacceptable and disgraceful. And the company could care less. I asked them to allow me a credit of $78 from what I would be paying the repair man quote, towards the part as I felt that would be more fair and they refused. So after paying over $1,000 for their product that failed in less than half its life expectancy they were unwilling to give me a credit of $78 with no remorse. Also while calling for service from local repair people I asked them from their experience who are the best and worst out there for refrigerators and they said best: Maytag and Whirlpool. Worst- Frigidaire/Electrolux /GE. Remember when you shop online and look at reviews- companies pay people to write great reviews but not to write bad ones. So take special note of the poor reviews. Consumer affairs has them as a 1 star company.

In 2012, I purchased all Frigidaire appliances (Refrigerator, Oven, Dishwasher and Microwave). I also purchased the Extended Service Agreement and renewed with an expiration date of 3/27/2020 on all the appliances. In November 2017 I noticed a crack on the door of the microwave located at the bottom of the handle. This is probably due to the design of opening and closing. The microwave is Model #FFMV162LW Serial Number KH12401883. Purchase date 9/5/2012 ($199.00). The extended service contract #[protected] (spent $163.93 on this service). When I contacted the 800# to report this, I was told it is not covered, because it is not part of functionality. I have read over the contract. Nowhere does it mention the door not being a significant part of the functionality; it does need to be closed to function. The contract does not mention at all that the door is not part of the extended service.I then went on the Chat Line to further submit my frustration of all the expense I put in to all these extended services I purchased on all the appliances, not to have Frigidaire back up their products and services. These will be the last Frigidaire items I will purchase when I am in need of future products. **Answer received: I appreciated reading you complaint. Im quite heavily involved with the industry and think I might be able to shed some light on the subject. The issue youre referencing is a problem of physical damage versus that of electronic/mechanical problems. Physical damage is something most extended service guarantees do not cover; for example, closing the door too hard and cracking the door. This makes sense whereas theres no way to determine how the crack really occurred. For what its worth, I own several Frigidaire appliances and dont hesitate to recommend them. Admittedly I prefer the Gallery and Professional lines as compared to that of the basic Frigidaire series, but if one knows the line fairly well, they can become a great value. Hopefully this helps clarify the issue.**I replied with: Sorry Shaun, but this seems to be a standard reply you are giving many of the complaints posted here. I still stand by my statement that I will not purchase any more Frigidaire items. After the several conversations with Frigidaire, there has not been one single reply. I asked if all my methods of contact (phone and live chat) had been recorded, to which I was informed they were as I suggested upper management review. When one receives mailers saying you are best to purchase a service agreement (kind of an extended warranty) that pretty much costs more than the unit itself, you are believing the Company will address the problem. In this case, me, the customer, was not satisfied with three issues; 1) Product flaw 2) Misleading extra coverage 3) Level of caring from Company.

I was told not to use it until we could get a repairman out. Its a defect!!! And because we dont have the extended warranty, its not covered. My recommendation to anyone buying a Frigidaire appliance is to get the extended warranty. If they built a quality product, you wouldnt need the extended warranty. They must have an interest in the company selling the warranties. No assistance was offered to resolve this issue. They do not listen to you, make promises they never keep and the supervisors go only by the reps notes so they intentionally do not put anything in those notes to protect themselves. Called three times for a return form and I was told I never called. Ordered my part from a small business and received it in one day. Terrible customer service.Bought Frigidaire refrigerator, stove and dishwasher for the new addition in 2014. Fridge burned out the motherboard 3 years later (used a 50 year old Sears Coldspot that still works for weeks). Ice maker has always had cubes that stick so it clunks till you pull out the cube. Hardly ever use it. The one time I did turn it on and didnt hear the clunking but when I opened the door I found the entire freezer frozen in a giant ice cube from top to bottom. The dishwasher has had a heat sensor burn out. Also the wash cycle would never advanced till our repairman (not a Frigidaire repairman) told us about a design flaw. You cant use the Hot Wash Cycle ever because it will never heat the water enough to advance out of the wash cycle. The oven door has slots so if you accidentally spill you have to take the entire door apart to clean. Will never buy this product again.

Mine is part of a series and it matched my other appliances. It works perfectly with the decor! I have not had any problems with it at all in the 10 years I have owned it. I would replace it with the same make and model.

My microwave at home is an OTR from Frigidaire. 1 month out of mfg warranty
My microwave at home is an OTR from Frigidaire. 1 month out of mfg warranty, it stopped working in the middle of cooking some steam-fresh veggies on July 23rd. I called the service dept and they had me purchase a 1 year extended warranty for about $30 and then created a service tech visit for me. A few days later, I got an email saying the service visit was scheduled for August 27th (more than 30 days!). I called and asked if there would be anything shorter than 30+ days and was reassured that Frigidaire would find a new date that wasnt so far out as they agreed it was a very long wait time. I never got a call back on that and never got a new service window or scheduled time.So Aug 27th came and I called Frigidaire again to make sure this was still scheduled in the system because I never got any confirmation call in the week leading up to the appointment. I was assured this service visit was still scheduled, so my husband stayed home from work all day to wait for the technician. The service tech never showed up (I called them every hour during their 8 AM - 5 PM window and they never answered or returned my voicemails). So I called Frigidaire back and they said they would try to get another service tech scheduled. The next day, I got a call back and was told they couldnt find a service tech, so they would do a product exchange and I would get the details within 2 days.So this morning, it had been 2 days and I still hadnt heard about the exchange details, so I called Frigidaire back. They told me that they will have the ticket for review for 6-8 business days and they will let me know on September 10th if they are able to find a new service tech or if they will do the exchange AND they said that if they do the exchange, I will now be responsible to pay the delivery and installation fees. So it will be 49 days from my initial issue before I find out what the (hopefully) final resolution will be. I was told by the supervisor on this last call that she firmly believes this is a good customer service practice.

I am renting my house, and my tenant called me to tell me that my 2 year old Frigidaire stopped working? I am living in Bangkok, Thailand, working with illegal adoptions, and former retired Police Officer from New Jersey, and am not a Private Investigator. My tenant called Sears, and they came out and looked at it, and stated it has a fan problem that has expanded on something and cannot be fixed. I bought all Frigidaire appliances to go with my new kitchen, dishwasher, stove, oven, and microwave, wine cooler, which does not work anymore either. I have no other recourse but to buy a new one. Does Consumer Affairs help people like me?
