We bought a house in 2011 that had a 36 Viking gas range. The kitchen had been remodeled the year before so the appliances were all practically new, and the old owners asked us to pay for them separately. Im so glad we didnt, because this Viking stove is a piece of junk. We have twice had it stop working and it took a long time to get it fixed because the Viking specialists wanted to charge us an arm and a leg just to come look at the appliance. I have never known anyone who has had fuses just stop working on their oven -- this happened to us. Then, we discovered this winter that the igniter was melting onto the burner, which was triggering the whole unit to turn off for safety. This started happening when we were throwing a dinner party and I was trying to cook for 25 people. We got it fixed but it still sometimes doesnt heat up reliably. I would never recommend Viking products based on our experience with this stove. I never know if it will heat up as it should or if I will just have to figure out another way to cook my food. Its been totally horrible.

My Viking stove is a nightmare. Firstly one of the gas hobs wouldn’t light properly. Although repaired by Viking it is still temperamental and flares up. But now my door won’t stay closed. The hinges are faulty! This stove is barely used as I travel much. They are less than 2 years old!!! Customer support was horrendous. Back orders for these parts means won’t deliver until sometime in November. Ordered on October 1. The cost is $568.79!!! Are they gold plated??? I did not chose these appliances for my new home. I will NEVER buy their products! This is only one repair company in my entire area that will service them. I wonder why???

I was looking for a new range and I saw the Viking Range in the store and I really liked the look of it. We have known the owners of the store for a really long time and it was also the best brand that they sold. There are a couple of things that I was disappointed with like the front panel looked like it wasn’t finished correctly. It looked like it was almost rusty. But they ordered a new panel for that. And the first time I used it there was steam and something got in between the glass so they feel that the seal on the oven door wasn’t really correct and they ordered a new glass for the door. So we had a couple of issues but it’s my first experience with a gas range and I really like it so far. They are taking care of the issues so I’m pleased. Those things can happen to any range but I really like the gas burners. I really like the little LED lights underneath that shine over the knobs and I just really love the overall appearance of the whole thing. I love the grates -- they’re very heavy and heavy duty and quality looking. And I think the soft closing door is really nice.

I own a 6 year old Viking Double Oven. It’s bad enough Viking wouldnt stand behind a heating unit but worse, we missed the complete Christmas season (our oven died Dec 17) using the oven because Viking didnt have parts in stock to repair the element in the oven. I will miss this Easter as well since the parts wont be in by then. As a cook this is unacceptable to me and Viking’s potential customers should be aware of this. It will have been 4 months for me to receive a new ribbon element with glass part # 013930-000 IF I get it by April. I think Viking potential customers should be aware of the lack of customer service in parts with Viking. Also Viking customer service didnt seem to care about my issue and basically had the too bad for you attitude. We have a 6 burner Viking range top and a Viking double oven in a top end house. If this is Vikings idea of customer service for premium clients I will take my purchases elsewhere in the future. Buyers beware.

My wife and I purchased a Viking 36, four Burners, approximately 18 years ago. The range worked fine for most of the years. Recently the oven door started giving us problems, door would come off its clips, as it turns out the clips on the sides of the inner oven door are no longer manufactured. The oven door for this model is no longer manufactured. In short, we have a range that does not have a door. When you pay $5000.00 for a product, this should not be a large companys response. BUY A NEW RANGE. It will clearly not be a Viking.

Ive known about Viking for years. Ive had Sub-Zero for years, but we just replaced it with the Viking. I liked the quality of the Viking refrigerator I received. It’s a side-by-side refrigerator. However, there’s one thing I don’t like and that is there are no shelves on the freezer side of the door. There are shelves on the door on the top, but just not on the bottom. I’m used to the Sub-Zero having the shelving all the way down on the door.

We received our range and it was installed in our home. Everything worked fine for a day. Then, the oven stopped working. We called for a service technician to come out. They came out, did some adjustments, and nothing worked. He couldnt get it to fix so he said that we got to order new parts. I told him that it is a brand-new range and I asked why we need to order brand-new parts. So, it arrived faultily. The parts were back-ordered for probably a month. We spoke to our regional representative, trying to figure out what the holdup was. Of course, it was blamed on COVID and I understood that. Then the parts came and the service technician installed them. Everything was working when he was here. He left that evening. I went to make dinner and put a chicken in. An hour later, the oven was lukewarm. It didnt maintain its flame. The next morning, before I called them, I thought to see what was going on. It would go through its clicking cycle to ignite. It’s a liquid propane system. And we ordered the correct range. That morning, it went through its cooking cycle like it always does and didnt light. We tried it again and then a fireball came out the bottom of it. I called the technician and told them what happened. I also called our regional representative and told her what happened. The technician was busy and couldnt come out ‘til the next week. Then he came back out and looked at it. He called the Viking service line and went through all of the suggestions that they made. He could get the small oven to light, but could not get the bigger side to light, and now has ordered another part. I think its the igniter or something like that is not working. I just got a phone call this morning that were on the schedule two weeks from now to get it repaired. Right now, I’m not very happy. We can use the top, but we cant do anything in the oven. Its pretty frustrating, especially since this is supposed to be top-of-the-line. So, basically, we have a brand-new piece of metal sitting in our kitchen that we cant use to its full extent. The most frustrating thing is were not getting any discount or benefit. We tell our representatives whats going on. We even said that we wanted another one because what if something happens to this one again? I dont know why that wasnt offered, again, ‘cause its a brand-new thing and its faulty when it arrived. I understand its a big piece. Its not like something that I brought home in a bag. It involved shipping and people installing it. But were kind of stuck as a consumer. Our technician is great. Theyre highly recommended. It’s no fault of them. Its the product and these arent cheap. Essentially this thing is the price of a car.

We got the Viking refrigerator through our builder that arranged everything and because of that getting the service and the registration was cumbersome. In those situations, it could be made easier. We purchased the appliances almost two years ago but our house wasn’t completed until just now so, that’s a little bit of a difficulty. Other than that, our Viking refrigerators quality is very good and we like its size.

We bought a Viking refrigerator in 2005 and since then we had nothing but problems with it. It started with leaking water and damaging our floors and continued with changing 3 ice-makers in it which we still have problems with. The water dispenser freezes frequently and recently the door hinge is getting loose, not closing properly. We are afraid of injuries in case it comes off (as it has happened to other owners) and what makes it worse is the companys rude and nasty attitude when contacted. I would never buy another Viking appliance and hope there was something I could do to be remedied for all the hardship that me and my family have endured. If anyone has a lawsuit against them I will be glad to join.

I guess I am not the only one with this problem as I read the comments!! Has anyone found a solution? I have had a repair man out here 3x and it keeps happening. The coils freeze, the floor of the freezer has a 1/2 inch frozen solid water and water leaks out onto my hardwood floors. If this is obviously a problem why are they not fixing them??????? I had a Subzero in my other home for 20 years and this never happened!!! So during this beautiful Sunday Im inside scraping ice and cleaning up water. Someone has to be accountable.

The people who repaired at our beach house in Florida did a great job and they were very nice. They got our Viking fixed. But when I spend that kind of money on appliances, I shouldnt have to have them fixed, especially two of them the day they were installed. The way the world is today, it took eight weeks to get somebody to fix them. It was not a good situation. We will not be buying any more Viking appliances, though we bought a lot in the past and they look great. We’ve been very, very disappointed with the quality of them. It has gone downhill. Weve had problems with a lot of the appliances we bought lately, starting with ones we bought for our ranch. I bought five new appliances in the last four months, and after they were installed, the oven and the dishwasher didnt work.

Viking was the affordable choice and a better choice than some Maytag. Its got a quality name to it. Its the rep. However, there was a problem with the shipping of our Viking Refrigerator, and we had to get another one. The first one got replaced. Even the second one, the freezer door is a little loose. I didnt wanna deal constantly having to send it back. The handle was loose, so I tried adjusting the handle. It doesnt adjust anymore. But, its good. It works. We got it from Best Buy. They were nice enough to accommodate switching out the first one. They wouldve switched out the second one cause I wasnt happy with the freezer door being crooked and the handle being loose. The handle is still loose. We were able to fix the crookedness a little bit, but at that point, we needed a fridge. Our old fridge had crapped out, so I didnt have time. They werent gonna bring it till the next day. So, thats my only gripe. The product is not 100%. I wouldnt recommend this Viking Refrigerator ‘cause its a hassle.

I purchased a whole set of Viking Ranges for my new home and Ive been really happy with the appliances. I got a range, a hood, a fridge, a dishwasher and a mixer. Their quality has been spectacular and the installation went great. However, recently I had some issues with my dishwasher. I called them about it but theyve done nothing to help. Ive spoken to three different representatives. The first one told me to go on and make sure all my products were registered and then call back the next day. When I called the next day, the lady said shell get it set up for me. She gave me a repair number and the name of the company to call. I called the service company and they said that Im outside of their service area and they wont do the work regardless of whether Ill pay for it or not. I called back Viking and the next lady worked to try to find somebody else who could fix it for me. She looked it up and said Im out of warranty and Im out of luck. I told her I knew that I was two months out of my warranty and that I shouldve reported the problem a little bit faster. But I told her I have no problem paying to have a service provider come out and fix it. I was also willing to pay for the parts and I was not looking for them to pay for any of it. I was just looking for assistance to find an authorized service provider that can do the work for me so the dishwasher can get back up and working.Im so frustrated about my Viking appliances that Ive really enjoyed and which have worked better than I anticipated. Its rough for me right now because I cant find anybody who is willing to work on them. And the company doesnt seem to care about whether or not I can fix the whole top of the dishwasher that doesnt work. Also, I have a matching set for the kitchen and replacing the whole thing seems ridiculous.

I love everything about my Viking range. This is probably my fourth Viking. The two homes I purchased had Viking Ranges in them previously. Then I have a home down in the Dominican Republic, and that range in there is around 30 years old. I just replaced the igniters on it, and it works like its brand new. Its amazing. I like the longevity. The price point is pretty high, but they last forever. Were still waiting on service for the range in my house. The far right bottom igniter has never worked. The service people are coming back out tomorrow, but this is their third visit. I’m a little apprehensive because they took the whole panel off on the front where there are 10 adjusting knobs. I told them, “Guys, its the igniter. I dont know if youre supposed to do that.” One tech said, “Well, I ordered this part, but my boss says its another part.” I told him, “But your boss wasnt here diagnosing it originally.” So thats kind of ass-backwards and the guy was here for about four hours. Also, Ive noticed that when I turn on the gas, sometimes the flame is higher on one side than the other. I had to keep turning on the pan when I was cooking.

My Viking lettering on the face plate to set the knobs and buttons to has been wiped off and now we do not know what temps we have set at or any of the other functions such as self-cleaning. We used standard Windex to regularly clean the oven face and eventually the lettering just dissolved. We had Viking replace the plate at no cost and with great hassle through Friedmans appliances and the second time we requested another plate they just blew us off. They would not even order it through Viking because they said it was discontinued. I will Never buy another Viking appliance as long as I live - I am a chef and cook at least 5 times a week. This has been extremely frustrating.

We were remodeling our house and I needed a bigger refrigerator. Viking was one of the better ones on the market so we got their 48-inch refrigerator. We also ended up getting all Viking appliances (a range, a hood, and a stove) because I wanted to stay with the same brand for resale purposes. However, we’ve only bought the refrigerator in November and in February, the mechanism that defrosts the coils in the freezer went out, and trying to get that fixed was not pleasant. I called Viking on a couple occasions and they said they had three contractors for us but two of them didn’t service refrigerators down in South Florida. The third company sent a guy out and he said he’ll defrost it. I told him we’ve been defrosting it every other day for a month while waiting for him to come out. He said “Well, I got to try this anyway and if it doesn’t work then call us back.” He defrosted it and two days later, it was icing over again. So I called the company back and they said I needed to replace the mechanism that defrosts it. They have it back ordered and I had to wait another month for them to get the part. I spent two months with a $10,000 refrigerator and I had to take a heat gun every other day and defrost the coils in the freezer so I wouldnt lose everything in it.After the mechanism went out, my husband read on forums that our refrigerator’s issue is a common Viking problem. And the tech they sent out didn’t speak English, which is fine because I speak Spanish. I kept asking, “Well, what is actually the problem?” And he said, “Well, it just needs to be defrosted.” He wanted me to sign all these forms and I said, “Look, I am not paying for this because this should be under my extended warranty that I paid for.” He said I had to sign it and that’s the only time I got him to tell me what he thought was wrong with our fridge. When I had to call back, I told them not to send the same guy but they did. He had no social skills. He didn’t even introduce himself when he showed up and left without saying anything. I had to track him outside the driveway and ask if it was already fixed. He said, “Well, just watch it. If it frosts over again then you’re gonna have to call another service ticket on it.”Though the Viking dealers were nice and helpful, the service could be way better. The number that I was provided for servicing in my purchase packet was redirecting me to the store so I had to call them and try to find servicing for it. I sat on hold trying to get someone for almost an hour to answer the phone. If I’m gonna be on hold for a long time, they should send my call to a voicemail and call me back. Other than the mechanism going out in less than a year, everything else has worked beautifully. The refrigerator keeps my fruits and vegetables fresher way longer than the last refrigerator we had. I liked that I always have space in it, and I also love the other appliances that we bought. I wouldn’t recommend the refrigerator for the price, but the other appliances, I would.

Weve had Viking Ranges for years. My wife likes the look and the performance of these ranges. Our current range is night and day compared to the one that weve bought 10 years ago. The quality and the features have improved. We got an eight-topper, and it really accents a high end kitchen well for looks and performance. We had a little bit of an install issue with the dealer named Big Georges in Ann Arbor. One of the lights was not screwed in and I didn’t feel I got a good follow up from them. I called, went down there and asked for some help but they were kinda telling me that I am own my own. That pissed me off. I wasn’t happy with the dealer, but the warranty guy from High End Appliance here in Michigan made up for some of the lackings of the appliance dealer.

I had a kitchen remodel and they installed the Viking range, and the unit itself was level front to back and side to side. But the cooking surfaces, which include the range top and the ovens, were not level. They dipped down in the front. I only noticed it when I was making Christmas morning breakfast and I was cooking pounds of bacon on the griddle that covers both the burners. All the grease was collecting in the front of the griddle, which is not safe. If I had not been paying attention, it would have overflowed into the front, right into the burner and cause a fire.I called Viking to state that I had this issue, and they sent one of their authorized service people to come out and look at it. The tech guy was by himself and he couldn’t do much. He fiddled around and then he left. I got a phone call a couple of weeks later that said, “Your case has been closed. There is nothing that can be done with your range. I went back to Viking and they were like, “We got a copy of the report and the report states that it’s an installation problem which is not our issue. You need to go back to whoever installed it.” When they came out to look at my range, my contractor was here. He was talking to the service man and said, “Everything is perfect. I followed all the instructions. Everything is laid out the way it’s supposed to be. Nothing is butting up against it.” It went back and forth and finally, I asked for another different authorized service company to come out. Before they came out, Viking called me and said, “This second opinion you’re getting is not covered.” The second service company came out, and they came out with two guys. The older gentleman looked at the range and said, “Your surface isn’t level.” They took care of it and now its level. He gave me my slip and I was like, “How much do I owe you?” He said, “We are charging Viking for this. It is their problem. You’re not paying for this.” Overall the Viking range is a wonderful thing to cook on when everything is okay. Up until recently, I was cooking for a very large family and boys eat a lot of food on a four-burner cooktop. Now I have an eight-burner range so I can cook to my heart’s content and not have to shuffle things around, shove them in the oven or put them in the grill. I got the range and it came with a microwave drawer which is wonderful. The only thing that I did not get was the range hood because they charge you for it and then they charge you for the fan motors separately.

I have always dreamed of having Viking appliances. I moved into a new house and my wish came true, Viking refrigerator, Viking double ovens, Viking 6 burner gas stove and Viking warming drawer. This came with a hefty price tag but I was over the moon. A few issues with the appliance company, that was a little over 5 yrs ago. Then May 2014, out of warranty we were told by Viking and had to replace the motherboard in both ovens!!! To the tune of over $500. Viking had issues with this problem so extended warranty slightly on newer ovens, so they were aware of problems in past ovens. Fast forward 2 yrs and both ovens are down again. Big pop and smoke. Both ovens again. I have left messages with Viking. No response as of yet.

Viking refrigerator is very expensive at $13,000 plus tax. However, it was not that great because within a few months it stopped cooling down. On the contrary, it was warming up so it was losing a lot of food a couple of times. Luckily, it was under warranty so they replaced the fan, but that shouldn’t happen with a $13,000 refrigerator. When we remodeled the house two years ago, we put in all Viking appliances because they were cheaper. Then about a month ago, I got a new fridge from Viking as a warranty replacement. Im not happy about the replacement fridge because the one that I had before was better quality. The quality of the stainless steel of this new one is very marginal. Everything is on the stainless such as fingerprints. Viking also didnt give me options for a water dispenser. Furthermore, it was a very long process to get it replaced. I got the phone call in March and the fridge was eventually replaced in August. The refrigerator that came was damaged with shipping, so they took it out and had to put it all back again. The installers were also not very educated about the product. It wasnt a pleasant experience.

We just got a Viking range installed. We liked the industrial look that Viking Ranges provides and then we found a decent deal through an appliance company so we made the purchase. The range is limited in terms of features. Its an on/off gas range and there wasnt even a timer on it. But, in a way, its also what we like because theres not a lot of technologies built into it.

Viking under counter bar fridge, $2200 plus tax - Purchased from Trail Appliance Richmond British Columbia. I paid upfront in May 2011, and it was received in September 2011. I t was not working when plugged in (no freon), 2 visits from repair man, with wasted time in between, no efficiency. End results: the fridge has not external scratches or dents, the visual inside is perfect. But inside, the workings of the fridge were a complete mess. Oil has dripped into the evaporator pan. Oil has been pumped into the system; the whole inside has to be replaced. This was brand new, never used. Viking has said they are going to replace the whole inside. We requested that they replace but Viking refused and said this was their policy. I guess their policy doesnt cover customer satisfaction. We requested to talk to a manager, but Viking refused and obviously wants to hide complaints. So, here we are after having paid for the expensive piece of **, 10 months after, and the appliance is in the repair shop. Poor, poor unacceptable customer service by both the retailer (Trail Appliances in Richmond, B.C. Canada) and Viking Appliance service center in Seattle, WA. I was planning an outdoor kitchen build and was going to use Viking products - no way. Stay away from Viking products as they are expensive, poorly made, and Viking service is absolutely terrible with no customer service considerations.

A condominium I bought in California many years ago already had a Viking installed. It was brand new and it had one of the big double ovens with the six things on top and the grill. The gas burners are very efficient, very powerful and I love them. However, were now in our second home in Washington state, and we found out that most of the dealers here have quit carrying Viking. They said it was very difficult to get service up here, so Im a little concerned that I made the choice. I didnt realize they were closing it out when I got this last range. Ive had four ranges, and Ive been happy with them. I had trouble with a couple of things on the range I bought in California in my condominium, including the modernized clock it had on it, but I always got service out and they took care of it. So far Ive had a really good experience with Viking and they were good.

I purchased a Viking 36 all fridge and all freezer to match the decor of the kitchen and have had no issues with the fridge until 3 months ago. The bottom evaporator behind the crisper drawer has been leaking onto the bottom of the fridge and onto the floor daily for the past 3 months only to find out after spending much time and money to try and get this matter resolved to be told by Corporate that the replacement part is no longer made and that I could purchase a new unit at 50% discount off of retail. Albeit a nice gesture but not interested in spending $4K plus on a new fridge that wont match the side by side freezer for a defective matter with the unit that the manufacturer has had in the past and doesnt stock the product or part. Something needs to be done that will solve my problem and make me sign the praises of the Viking name but I gut now, its not working for me!!

Im a general building contractor, so I research every refrigeration system I can find. I had an existing cutout where I had a Sub-Zero refrigerator from years past and the Viking box size was almost identical to the Sub-Zero that I removed. So far I like it very much. It keeps everything cold and crisp the way its supposed to, and its exact in the areas that its supposed to be and in the areas that its not supposed to be that way. Its an intelligent machine. I especially like the icemaker and the pizza box shelf at the bottom. Their products are good and as advertised. For the price and performance, Viking would be my number one suggestion.

We special ordered our Viking range in white on May 13, 2017 and were told it would be 6-8 weeks for delivery. Our range was delivered August 5th with no explanation of the delay. When our range was removed from its pallet and packing material removed, we discovered the door and lower cover panel were both dented. Our selling dealer quickly noted the damage, but installed the range with the promise to have both pieces replaced. It is now November 10th and we are finally scheduled to have the damaged pieces replaced on 11/18. We are patient people, but the delay in the original delivery date and the long wait for replacement parts seems unreasonable. No reason was ever given for either delay and that makes our experience with Viking only satisfactory. We were fortunate that the operation of our range was not compromised and have been using it since delivery in August. It performs flawlessly and does meet our cooking needs. However, the center burner doesnt seem to work correctly (it never goes to high) but we are hopeful that when the service tech comes to replace the dented pieces, he/she can make a simple adjustment. My husband and I do wish that there was direct communication from Viking beginning at the original order date. To date, we have never heard directly from Viking until this. Knowing the status of our order would have been much appreciated, given the substantial cost of our Viking.

Our Viking refrigerator is spacious and the shelves are usable. I use the temperature control a lot. My only issue with it is the ice tray location. At the beginning, I wasnt happy with Viking - they didn’t have good reviews. After I went to the store, the guy convinced me that they had changed and they were doing a better job with them. He told me to try it out and that if I didn’t like it, they would take it back. The refrigerator was making a noise and that was bothering me. We had a GE for 16 years and it was fantastic so when I started hearing the noise, I figured I made a mistake. We have called somebody to come and check it out, but they said everything was okay. I dont know if they adjusted something but after that, it’s been working pretty good. I like the bottom drawers of the refrigerator. It’s like a long drawer and has a nice size since I can put a lot of stuff in there. On the other hand, the toe grille was not put in properly. One side is lower on the floor and the other one is higher. Even though we try to screw it in, it doesnt do anything and it just keeps coming down. I was thinking of calling the other day about that because it was bothering me. But other than that, Im very happy with my Viking. I havent had any problems yet and I have it almost for a year now at the end of August.

Ive always heard that Viking Refrigerators were top-of-the-line. I looked at brands like Samsung but they were kinda new in the market and we preferred going with someone who has been doing it for a while. We have never really gone top-of-the-top but we were doing a remodel. We went to Pacific Sales and it was very good. We started looking at top quality versus the standard ones that they offered and decided we could spend a little more money. The dishwasher was thrown in for free so, that made it a no-brainer. I called in to get everything registered and the gal who answered the phone was great. She helped me because we had to add some zeros to the model number. She was really good because she gave me a heads up when I was doing the refrigerator and hadn’t done the stove. Calling in to get the service was very good too.The layout of the refrigerator was really good as well as the warning system. We liked the shelves and the door. We can pull up the grids on the burners of the stove, take the burners out and there’s a little shelf that you can pull out. It’s great and makes it so much easier to clean the stove. Its also easier to cook and I don’t have to worry about the surface top getting dirty. Also, switching to gas from electric made a huge difference. We heard the oven was good quality, but unfortunately, we used it once and the igniter was not working. So, were waiting for the part and we want to use it.

Ive known about Viking Ranges for years. I wanted a six-range top, so we went out and look at them at ABT and they seemed to have the cleanest look. They had somebody who comes out especially for Viking who was very knowledgeable. When we first got it, it wouldnt go on properly so somebody came out and adjusted it. Then when I clean and put the pieces back together, one or two of the jets would flare. Also, when I put it down on low, I get this ticking sound which means that the gas is not coming through properly. It is also a little crowded, so I have to remove one rack to get anything big in. Viking built in double door refrigerator is two years old and is terrible, I have had four service calls to fix it. The first time it simply shut down and stopped working, the service tech replaced the inverter and then it has started leaking water all over the floor. I have now called four times to have it fixed. The local, West Coast Regional Office is a joke. They dont even answer the phone. When they do answer I get the run-around until I insist they send someone to fix it, which then takes two or three days. And then, three weeks later the same thing happens. The unit has a three year warranty and Viking is refusing to honor it. They are just the worst example of customer service I can imagine. My advice is to avoid the purchase of any of their products.

They use 3rd parties who dont care about anything, except to bill Viking. It definitely compares with Maytag and KitchenAid and in that range, I think Vikings one of the ones that I would definitely go for. But price-wise, it is slightly expensive. They are also pretty small refrigerators. I wanted the 44-inch and has more options to choose but I did not see many so I finally ended up with the 36-inch ones. Although, its doing what a fridge is supposed to do and I think thats the minimum we expect to see. I like the compartment arrangement even though the rack arrangement in the lower compartment is small. Its also very noisy and I like to see a quieter appliance than what I have.

We purchased all new Viking Appliances from Pacific Sales in Santa Barbara. Within 1 year we threw out the Viking dishwasher and replaced it with a Bosch. Within 5 years we had about a dozen services on the Viking built-in refrigerator due to leaking water and icing up in the freezer. We are extremely disappointed with Viking products. We spent about $1500 on the dishwasher and $7,300 on the refrigerator. I would strongly discourage anyone from buying Viking products. We are about to buy a new refrigerator and it certainly will NOT be a Viking and we will not be buying our refrigerator from Pacific Sales due to their lack of customer support. Not only that but when Pacific Sales originally delivered the appliances their truck smashed a wall in our entry driveway. It took us a couple of months and many complaints to multiple levels of management to get them to fix the wall - and after all of our efforts they would only pay for half of the damages.

We complained to the company we purchased it from and he said it was the seal. They ordered a new one from Viking but what Viking failed to tell them was that the refrigerator we had purchased was one of the first 100 off the assembly line and they had recalled this item. The continuing leakage from the refrigerator ruined our hardwood floors. We finally had a rep come out and look at the refrigerator and believe it or not we got a new one after this continuing over a year. The ice machine in the freezer went bad so he ordered us a new one while he was there. The ice machine that was self standing the board went out after 4 years and it cost almost as much to fix so we threw it out. Now our freezer only freezes halfway. There is a hole in the condensing coil that they can not locate. Now the refrigerator that was replaced the door keeps catching and it will not close properly. The house that we purchased already had a Viking Range and so, we wanted to continue using Viking. So far, were not impressed with the refrigerator. Weve used Samsung more than anything else before and weve never had so many issues come up as we have with this $15,000 fridge. For one, Viking doesnt have a great after purchase service. When they delivered the fridge, there was something wrong with it. The whole process took about two months for them to come and exchange the fridge. And then this year, weve had issues with the freezer, where a portion of it doesnt seem to be working. Weve been back and forth with them trying to find some service provider in the vicinity. Only after two months and a lot of follow up did they finally have someone coming in to check and see whats going on. As to how long it would take them to actually fix it, Im not even sure. The thing is, they have a third party that deals with these things, so its not really the Viking dealer. Its just a number on the brochure. You call them and they send you off to some independent company that they have in your area, and theyre the ones that are supposed to come and take care of it. As a result, it keeps ping-ponging back and forth. Besides that, the fridge looks sleek and its nice to look at. Its wide and its spacious. I definitely dont have issues with storing anything. I like that the shelves are wide and tall. So in terms of space and cooling issues in the refrigerator, we havent had an issue. Although, our ice cubes have been melting since summer. But still, when things get out of hand, theyre gonna have a third party, not necessarily a Viking technician coming and dealing with your issues and theres a lot of bureaucracy and telephone calls involved in the middle that waste our time as a consumer. And when you spend so much money on a refrigerator, you sort of dont expect this. You want things to go smoothly. And it all goes back to how great that service provider is, which from my initial experience, theyre not great. We even had an issue finding the refrigerator in the beginning. We had to go to another city and order it. So, if I were to recommend Viking to somebody else, I would say make sure that if its not that easy to procure the item from the beginning, maybe it wont be that easy to get service after the purchase.

The many repair people we have met since we bought this Viking Dishwasher in 2014 love to tell us how its impossible to troubleshoot, and breaks all the time. We replaced our old and very good Viking Dishwasher- that dated back to 2005 or so with one from 2014 when it needed a new pump at the urging of a sketchy repair guy. For this newer one we needed to rinse thoroughly the dishes prior and use all kinds of boosting products. (Lemi Shine). We had frequent service calls. It now needs $800 worth of repair for possibly 1) Moisture sensors, 2) drain pump or a 3) new panel, maybe. If its all three then its more than 1,400 dollars. These are repairs no reputable company can do within 3 -4 weeks. But we did have one guy come, charge us $125 (less than the going rate so we were thrilled, for a moment) and ask for stop tips. But he didnt fix it. And then he left to go on a cruise. Literally. We use this place as a part-time house so this is the second vacation we have spent doing dishes for the whole household + guests by hand. That and calling Dishwasher repair people. Sometimes they come and fix it and it breaks again, a few moments after they drive away and lose cell service, conveniently. The consultations in our area with reputable companies a minimum of $150 without a repair -- just to look--even if you have had someone else diagnose. They still refuse to bring anything on the truck to help fix it in one shot. The old one was great. It was loud and sounded like a hurricane but it really washed dishes. Its 20/20 hindsight but I bet the repair guy knew all this as he counseled us so hard to take it off our hands. The new ones are not good.I heard Viking switched to a new manufacturer (I hear its Asko now, but I do not know), or to a lesser quality from that manufacturer. Once they are (expensively) repaired they can last a while--but this is all rumor. In the meantime they are impossible to troubleshoot and you can analyze the manual all you want, nothing works. You cannot even manually drain it. So I recommend only buying this if you are actually an appliance repair person yourself or have one in the family. Kind of like owning a vintage automobile. But not nearly as fun. Not exactly a wind in your hair kind of experience. More like a dishpan hands one. While you look outside thinking of all the things youd rather be doing. So in short, park your ego and do not buy this machine. Unless you really love to do dishes by hand while you look at a Viking label in your kitchen. You can thank me. We finally decided to buy a Sears Kenmore with a stainless steel front and a 5-year service warranty. I added that to never pay that $150 dollar service fee for no work for a long time. Including installation, delivery and the 5-year warranty it cost less than the estimated repair cost of this one. Oh and there were no guarantees on the repair. And I did tell you the repair guy is on a cruise until after we leave. This review was based on Viking Model 032715-0000. PS. Its hard to tell from the images I posted but the bottom is flooded. Drain is cleaned, as are pipes checked. You cannot reset it to get it to drain following instructions in the manual. Note huge pile-up of dishes on counter. This has been our life this vacation. Hurray for Sears. Thank you! We cannot wait.

Im very happy with the range top and am pleased with the hood fan, but the microwave and dishwasher are both subpar. Then, one of the shelves in the refrigerator got broken which is very disappointing seeing I spent almost $10,000 for it.Also we purchased it at Best Buy at their Pacific Store and it was a very bad experience. They shipped our packages and we received six, so we assumed that everything was there. We had our kitchen totally rebuilt, then we found out we were missing a package. Then the store manager said we were lying and all the packages were delivered. A week later they found that the package was still in Cleveland and was not delivered. So, our set stood in our kitchen for two or three weeks until it was finished. Then when we installed the double oven, we found out it had been dropped in shipping. Their technician had come out and confirmed that it was. But now Viking is handling that and is sending us a new one.

My parents owned a Sub-Zero which only makes built-in refrigerators and not stand-up ones. Ive heard of Viking in the past and theyre my number two choice. However, I received my refrigerator damaged. A lot of parts under it were bent so its not leveled and I have to put a piece of wood behind the fridge to level it. Also, the bottom grille doesnt line up with the fridge. Theres also frost build-up all around the inside of the fridge where the cool air comes out of the little vents. When I close it, it’s supposed to be flush with the doors but only one side is pushed down and one side is pulling out. The Viking team was friendly but they took a while to return calls. I spoke to a representative and she said she was going to check on my fridge. I had to call her the next week and they were supposed to call me back two days later and this last week but I still havent heard from them. They said they were going to send out somebody to repair the fridge but the company guy said its irreparable. Overall, Vikings built-ins are very good but their stand-ups are not.

I liked the quality of the Viking Range that I have observed at a family member’s house. I spent about two hours in the store and we finally landed on a product that I liked. However, I was really dissatisfied when the installer came to put the Viking Range in. They charged me $200 for the install, which I don’t remember having that conversation with my salesperson. I paid $50 to have them install the dishwasher so I thought I had paid for all of my installation fees already when I purchased the equipment. I paid them the $200 because my beef was not with them. My beef was with Famous Tate, who sold this stuff. I then brought my concerns to them. After some back and forth, and then realizing that I was not going to accept their answer, they finally gave me a credit of $200 on the purchase, which completely satisfied me. We also have a slight issue with our oven, where the door does not always close or shut off the lights. It is not pressing that little button that turns the light on and off. I have reminded my wife to call Famous Tate about it.

My range is perfect. There are no scratches or dings when it was delivered. The fridge arrived and was completely beautiful on the exterior, but on the interior, all the shelves were smashed and ripped out so I had it replaced. Now, Im waiting a door on the new one and a door for the dishwasher because they were both damaged in transit. Its unfortunate. But as far as how they worked, theyre wonderful.

If you buy a Viking fridge you most likely have been duped into buying a fridge built by someone else with the Viking name on it. Certainly hate my Viking Pro 48. Many of the parts are not unique to Viking and the overall quality is poor. The ice makers seizes up and burns out. Viking did not install a heat trace to keep the water line from freezing. Every time the power goes out, the ice maker seizes up. Bad news. One new ice maker per year. I would not buy it if it was the cheapest fridge on earth -- let alone spending $10 grand on it.

I love to cook. My next-door neighbor used to be a head chef for a French restaurant in New York City and she has a Viking. So I was looking at getting one. At the time, I was also looking at Wolf and an Italian stove. But the guy at the Appliances Connection down in New Jersey talked me into buying the Viking. I heard that Viking had some issues back and he convinced me that those issues had been resolved. So I believed him and I bought it. But Ive been frustrated a little bit because it came not working. The small stove would ignite but it would go out and it would keep trying to ignite over and over again. I called Viking and I registered it, but she told me they didnt have anyone who repairs it in our area. I told her my next-door neighbor has a stove and that Id ask her. But the woman said no and never followed through with getting someone to repair it.However, the people I bought this stove from, Appliances Connection, stepped up and found a repairman. They organized the repair and now it is fixed. Im very happy. But someone needs to talk to Vikings service department rep. Other than that, the quality of my Viking range is fantastic and the cooking capacity is awesome. I would recommend it.

Have had a Viking range for 12 years and have been unhappy for 10 years. Bought it after much research, but unfortunately there were few reviews at that time and features seemed to be the best. Well, it is a piece of junk! It takes 30 minutes to heat. The door does not close right despite having 3 service calls regarding this issue. The self-clean only worked once and would never lock again. I hate this stove, but really hurts to throw away since it cost so much.

We purchased a very expensive Viking refrigerator from Best Buy a couple years ago. Within just a few months, all of the adjustable shelves in the door started to break. The shelves are a combination of metal and brittle plastic. Once the plastic shatters, they are unrepairable. The replacement of the shelves is NOT covered by the warranty. We went ahead and overpaid for two replacements from Viking, which then proceeded to break as well. We are down to one shelf in the door which will not likely last much longer.

Viking Ranges had long-term warranty and they had reviews of how it cooked meat, so I chose them. There were multiple dealers so purchasing it wasn’t too difficult of a process. But youd need some plumber to put it in because it was so heavy. It was lifted not from the bottom and I don’t think they did a particularly good job of it. There was that kind of lip that came out and too often that was used, that was not reinforced enough to handle the weight or sometimes the door was also used incorrectly. It should not to do it that way, but it looked like a handle and people invariably lift and pull on it.In the two years and a half that Ive had it, weve had the thermometer broke and we’ve had that replaced, but it was under warranty. We called them and then they called us back and then they made a stress test, but eventually we got through it. The process wasn’t super-fast, but we’re easy-going, so we managed around it.Im not really happy with the baking. It’s inconsistent. And with the stuff that got on the burners and spilled on it, you just can’t get them cleaned after a while. This is sort of the nature of the stove itself. There are certain parts that are more difficult than others. Everything that we’ve read about it is pretty much true and that has been consistent. So, we knew what we were getting, that it was gonna be expensive, that it didn’t cook real evenly, but it still looks cool and they have a roadmap of how to get it better.

Viking oven quite beautiful blueberry blue, came with amazing home we purchased, number of problems in the 5 years we have been here. Currently the door to the small oven is hanging open, we cannot fix it. Called and left voice mail messages for the service manager and NO CALL BACKS. We cannot do business like this and are positively shocked that no one cares enough about such a valuable brand to look after maintaining or building the value. Sounds like its almost game over from reading about other peoples unfortunate experiences.

When moved into a brand-new house, our Viking refrigerator came with it together with a stove and dishwasher. I like the refrigerators big drawer thats underneath the space for vegetables and fruits. So far, we already had some huge part replaced on it which cost about $2,000. We called Viking about it and they gave us the repairman that they recommended. The repairman came out and the refrigerator got fixed a month ago. But I can hear the sound starting to build up again so Im a little concerned about that. Other than that, Ive had an awful experience with the dishwasher. It broke and it took almost three months to be replaced because they couldn’t fix it. So I went all the way through Thanksgiving and Christmas without a dishwasher. They finally replaced it by the end of November because they could never get the part in. As for the oven, as expensive as it is, we already had to have a $3,000 replacement part for it. That was done about two weeks ago but when I turned it on yesterday to cook dinner, the part’s already broken. So, I need to have a repairman come again and replace it or fix it again because it will turn on to 350 but it won’t change temperature. When the appliances are working, it’s great but when it doesn’t work, it is horrible. Viking doesn’t come to replace things and the quality of their products doesn’t hold up to what the expense is going to cost.

A friend of ours also had a Viking that we really liked the style of. We compared it against other ones in the showroom and generally liked the look of it better. We got a Viking range and dealt with MD Appliance in La Canada, California, and they were great. They were good at calling out the features and differences between them and the other top-of-the-line one that was like a Wolf. There are also a couple of very small, little, kinda like nitpicky things I noticed with the range. When the burner is at a very low setting, almost like on the simmer setting, it has a flickering effect on the gas burner. Also its not a smooth, sort of clean sounding burn when it’s up higher. So if I were to perfect the range, I would eliminate that kind of irritating flicker sound. The burners themselves are very heavy, which is fine. But the metal bottom of the burners is very rough, and it’s not a finished metal. So unfortunately when our house cleaner was taking it off of there, she scratched some of the surface of the range which freaking killed us, because it was like the price of a car. I wished that there was either some of sort of powder coat or some kind of finish on the underside of the burner that would prevent that type of thing from happening. But other than that were pleased with the quality and I have no problem recommending it.

I am aware of the Viking name, and quality made me purchase from them over others. I’ve been very pleased with the performance of the unit. The four burners are very fast to ignite. The range has met my expectations, with one exception having to do with the temperature of the oven not being accurate. If you set it to 350 degrees, it is not 350 degrees. It’s actually around 325 degrees. Viking ranges are very nice, not necessarily all of them, but we’re very happy with the style and appearance of the Series 3 model. We bought a brand new Viking Professional 301 Series Built-In Dishwasher when we moved into a new townhouse 18 months ago. It hasnt worked in a month, although we have had 4 service calls and 4 parts replacements in 3 weeks - after the last visit it flooded the kitchen floor after the tech left. I think we have had 8 service calls in 18 months. There is obviously a problem with the dishwasher (it has been discontinued) however Viking refuses to consider replacing it. Viking does not stand by their product - rather than provide us with a working unit, they prefer to jerry-rig a series of failing repairs. This is one of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had. I would not recommend Viking to anyone. I understand that appliances fail, however for us the failure has been the integrity and quality of Viking Customer Service. What a disappointment.

We bought the top-line Viking refrigerator as well as Viking oven and microwave through Best Buy, and Best Buy has been horrible. The communication around the third party that Best Buy uses for installation has all been really poor, and getting my appliances installed was the worst thing ever. First, the built-in $9,000-refrigerator was installed incorrectly. The installers failed to put a kickplate on the bottom of this refrigerator and they probably threw it away. So we had to have someone come out and that took a while. We’re easygoing people and we’re not that tough to deal with. However, I bought that refrigerator in early June and to this day, I dont have the kickplate yet, so that has been frustrating.Best Buy has a customer service troubleshooter that was assigned to us. That person was really nice but has been lousy on follow-up so we called and left messages. When I finally got a hold of Best Buy’s case manager, he said that Best Buy was told that the manufacturer did not have the kickplate in stock. So I told them that I was gonna call Viking, which I should have done early on. When I called, I spoke with their customer service person who was great and a really nice lady too. I asked her about the kickplate that is missing and she said they had them in stock, which was what I anticipated the whole time. We havent heard anything back yet, but a company is supposed to call us. Still, Viking is a premium brand and they have been responsive to us and the experience with them has been great.

My husband knew a long time ago about Viking Refrigerators and we did some comparison with Wolf. We liked the looks of Wolf and the pricing was about the same. We wanted to go for Wolf, but they only do the built-in refrigerator, so we looked at Viking. We went to Midwest TV and Appliances and I liked the salesman, although she didn’t really influence my purchase because when we went there, we knew what we wanted at that point.I really liked Viking. I liked the look also and they have the freestanding refrigerator, so we decided to buy everything from Viking -- a freestanding range, a freestanding refrigerator, and a wine cellar. We got for free our dishwasher and we got the hood, which was with the ventilator. We also bought the fan plus the hood and we were very happy with it. We havent figured out the wine cellar because it is not very clear how to set up the temperature, but other than that, we are very happy with it. I also bought some of their cookware from the website and I like the pans and the other stuff. The core in our freestanding range came broken, but they said its still good if I plug it. It took around six weeks to get the core and for them to come and replace it. Our oven in our range, because it is brand-new, still has the oily smell, so it bothers me when we use the oven, but everything is looking good and we are very happy with our appliances. Viking is a good brand and I will tell my friends to buy Viking. I have some friends and they are renovating their house. They are so excited about Wolf, but I told them they could try with Viking, it’s nice and it’s quality. I will recommend them to go directly to Viking showroom. It really helps if you go directly to the Viking store instead of going to a dealer that has different brands. The reps will pay more attention to you. Otherwise, youre gonna do so much research online.

I bought a house that has a Viking Range. So far, the quality is good. I like the stovetop with the gas and heavy-duty grates. It’s easy to maintain and clean. However, I recently called them about some parts. There were some little rubber grommets on the bottom of the stove grate that shrink with heat and fall out. When I built my house in 2006, I put all Viking appliances in, without regard for price, because I thought I would have quality products for many years. The dishwasher was labeled as not worth fixing, after 4 years. The temperature control on the built-in oven is so sloppy and inaccurate that you are always guessing at what the actual temperature is. I was told even the new control knobs are that inaccurate. The ice dispenser on the built-in side-by-side fridge dispenses ice to the floor almost every time it is used. I have to post instructions for use on the fridge when we are entertaining. The plastic pull-out ice drawer broke after the 4th year. The automatic ice maker stopped working completely in the 11th year and it took over a year to diagnose, get parts and repair the problem. Parts took 9 months to get. One positive, the meat drawer keeps the meat unbelievably fresh for extended amounts of time. No children here so the wear and tear is very minimal. I will never purchase another Viking product.

We liked the functionality of the Viking Ranges, the induction on one side, gas and griddle. When I was getting my range, it was quick because it was on the floor and they wanted to get it out as soon as possible. So through TA Appliances, I got it within a week or so. Then I had an appliance guy who came in, installed a power cord, and put it in for me. We use our stove quite a bit and in terms of functionality, it’s very good. But I ran into one problem that is currently being looked into. The ignition of my backburner is not coming on and not lighting that well. I called the TA Appliance guy who I got the range from and he set things up so that I was called by whoever the service team is here close to me. They were okay but some better communication as to what the problem was in the process would have been appreciated. I had to call a few times to really understand what the holdup was on getting parts. They said that they couldnt get parts over right away, but that wasnt communicated well.Other than that, my Viking range is fantastic. There are two ovens and theres a small oven on the right side. It would have been nice to get a second rack in there since we often have multiple things in there because of the conduction. There are three positions you can put the racks in but I couldnt find one. Theres none on the website or anywhere you can buy one. Itd be nice to grab some of those kind of accessories. But I managed to get a bamboo cutting board cover for the griddle and that worked out nicely.

We’ve previously lived in houses and in rentals that had Viking in them and I know that it’s a good brand. And when we were looking at the appliances, there was a couple that fitted in our budget and we also looked at the style of the oven. We looked at Wolf and Sub-Zero, and Viking, just a combination of the style, price, and functionality, won out over those. We bought a Viking refrigerator and a range from an online company out of New Jersey. It came from the factory and it looked like it had been packed up with a dent in the door. It was underneath all the packaging and theres no kind of dents in the packaging. It was difficult to figure out how to get that repaired on someone else’s dime because it’s not our fault. The dealer was more problematic than Viking. It was like sending emails to a blank wall. I felt like they could’ve said that this was not their issue and they’re sorry for sending it to us. They were just searching to figure out who I needed to contact. After four emails and a handful of phone calls they told me to call Viking. And then Viking sorted it out as I could expect. They took care of it in a good fashion and took complete charge of its cost. Viking had someone came out and replaced the door. Then, something also happened when they installed the range. Some of the workers tried to move the range around and they pulled off the door of our oven and that had nothing to do with Viking. But we were able to get that sorted out on the same day. It’s good for it to all happen at once versus a couple of times. The quality of the range is good and it seemed perfectly functional, especially after the door was fixed. It works when it needs to work.

Im from Mississippi so its not hard to hear about Viking Ranges here. I wanted to support a homegrown company and I cook a lot and have heard good reviews about it. I also had some friends that had them and enjoyed them. I appreciate the way if I spilled something on the top of the stove or something overflows that has a lid on it, the cleanup on that is not bad. Its pretty easy for me to clean up compared to the last stove combination I had. However, I have not been very pleased. I have a gas top and oven and the gas oven has been very difficult to regulate. It takes forever to heat up, way longer than ever expected for the oven to pre-heat. I have to turn it on a good 30 minutes prior to and sometimes longer. I put my own room thermometer in there because I dont trust the temperature setting. I hate the way the gas comes on and off. Early on, I was having struggles with everything being too dark on the bottom and light on the top. My appliance man said, Youre not waiting long enough to pre-heat. Youre gonna have to wait. Im also frustrated with the oven size. I have a big oven and a little oven side-by-side. The little oven is half an inch to an inch too small. And the big oven, when I try to get something in there like two pans or skillets, they dont fit well either. I cook all the time and I prefer large groups. We have work entertainment that I do all the time. I tried to do two big pork shoulder roasts at the same time. It was in there for hours and difficult to get both of them in there the way the pans were. I wouldve taken an inch out of the big one because its not helping and put the inch in the other one. Theres also the fact that its hard to clean on the inside. Viking makes a big deal about not scratching anything and not using anything harsh on it so Ive been very careful. I have to heat it up just a little bit and then have a wet rag and muscle it to get it off. When I spill something over, grease gets on the aisles of the stove and I havent gotten those off. I cant get those off without having to use something harsher than they recommend. We bought the vent that goes over it and Ive been hugely disappointed in that too. Its really difficult to get the grates out to wash them. I cant talk to anybody if I turn it on since it is obnoxiously loud. I also bought a warming drawer and thats been okay but theres a little spring-like lever that goes on it to make it click into place, and it broke for some reason. The appliance guy said, Well have to order that part. And then he went to order the part and Viking had stopped producing those parts for a while. He worked on getting a part to help with the regulation of the temperature in the oven and called me to come out and put that one in. But I dont think its going to help and I dont see what its going to do. Overall Im dissatisfied and if I could get rid of it, I would. If I hadnt spent so money, I wouldnt be quite as dissatisfied. But when you spend that much money, you expect a lot.

We got a bunch of Viking. Also, all the fire stations in our local county government have Viking equipment in it so we stayed with them ‘cause it’s better than residential equipment. We previously had a Sub-Zero refrigerator and we love it. We had the long handles with the furniture door front on it. My wife wanted to have something that evoked that look. We knew that we did not want to go for Sub-Zero appliances again in this remodel in Florida so we went with the Viking refrigerator because there was a point price differential and it was attractive. Plus, the gas stove was decent, too. However, our problem with the refrigerator has been directed towards the cosmetics. The skin is just ridiculously thin and every door that we had delivered had dents in it. In the light, you can clearly see the dents and there are also obvious manufacturing issues such as the bottom freezer door. The top lift of it has the same three dings on the upper lift, through every door that weve seen in the same spot, so its clear that there is something on the assembly line that ticks these door fronts up and moves them along the line. My wife went online and spoke with somebody at the local Viking place down here. The authorized Viking dealer where we bought it and we dealt with has been wonderful and the refrigerator is working fine. But its just so aggravating to look at the refrigerator and see these little reflections off of dents and it really makes it look like not a quality product.

30 months ago I bought a new built apartment in the Dominican Republic that came with a new 48 Viking professional refrigerator. It started to malfunction (not cold enough, not making ice cubes, making loud noises and not refrigerating altogether) soon after we got it. Kitchen Center in Santo Domingo, who supplied it, did not want to do anything about it pretending that the 12 months warranty had passed. Kitchen Center finally agreed to replace it with a new one at the condition that I pay them an extra USD $7,500.00 which I did. The new fridge is also malfunctioning and has the same issues. A Viking representative offered to change it about 4 months ago but Kitchen Center does not want to honor this promise.

We bought a new house with all new Viking appliances. I was excited as Id always heard good things about Viking. Never will I have another Viking product now that I have actually experienced the quality, and have dealt with their customer service department. As for the microwave, it was only five years old when it caught on fire. Enough said.

I had an electric range before and Viking is better. It’s a very nice range. Also, they have good customer service. As soon as I called, they gave me an answer for my little problem. The installation was wrong and they said they would send someone to fix it. Then, I called back to say that it was already fixed.

Our Viking range has been pretty good and I like the griddle top, but weve had three times now where I don’t know if something is wrong with the board or the plug. It just stops working and we unplug it, put it in a different plug, and it still wont work. We had someone working on the washer and he was here three weeks ago. He said he was going to look into the range, but I haven’t heard back from him so I need to call them.

I purchased a home and a Viking refrigerator was in it. It was hard to register and they needed to know other numbers that were printed on the packaging in order to register all their appliances. So, you have to call, which was a pain and you couldn’t register it via phone. You had to then go on their website and do it. Also, my fridge was not installed properly by the builder and I’ve had trouble getting someone to service to reinstall it for me. Other than that, the fridge is fine.

My Viking Refrigerator got serviced since the automatic defrosting unit was bad. It would not cool and it took a long time before someone came out to fix it. We went for almost two and a half weeks without having a refrigerator. We dealt directly with Viking and they had to find somebody in the local area to fix the unit. They had to bring someone from about 50 miles out to come and fix it because we live in a not very convenient place. Then the team who handled the issue was very good and professional. Overall, the experience has been pleasant and we really like the quality of the refrigerator. We just did a kitchen remodel and we bought a whole Viking unit including a refrigerator, stove, warming drawer, hood, and microwave drawer. Were very pleased.
