Would highly recommend not spending the money on Dacor. We spent big money on our kitchen hoping for years of trouble free service. We can no longer get parts for our Dacor gas stove/electric oven. The burners click for 2 minutes when you start them. We have gone thru 5 circuit boards. NO LONGER AVAILABLE. The oven light goes on and off by itself. Etc. Etc.

When we recently remodeled our kitchen, we replaced our Dacor double ovens
When we recently remodeled our kitchen, we replaced our Dacor double ovens that we had had for 15 years. These were great ovens and not one problem with fairly heavy use, so we bought the Dacor Modernist double ovens. The ovens are usable, but they are the worst engineered product I have ever experienced. First, there is no clock on the stove because as I was told the clock would etch the screen if it was on 24 hours a day. Second, the sound the timer makes is so soft, even on the loudest setting, cannot be heard in any room but the kitchen, so I paid a premium price to carry a timer with me, so I know when my oven is done baking. Third, if I turn the oven light on, the timer either stops completely, or it resets to the original time. Fourth, the oven buzzes when it is cooking. Fifth the user manual is useless and there is no video or online information on how to use this oven that is not user friendly. Finally, I have talked to Dacor and have had the repair person here, but he knew nothing about this oven. I am sorry every time that I use this oven that I did not buy my other choice, which was the Woof double ovens, but we thought this would be wonderful product, like the wonderful product that our previous ovens were. We also thought Dacor was a family company, but is now owned by Samsung. What a disappoint these ovens have been. The engineering for this product is a disgrace for any company and I no longer see the Modernist products advertised and it may be because it is such a poorly designed product. I never met a computer that I did not love, but this is not the electronic wonder that was advertised when we bought the ovens.

My wife and spend $12k on a new Dacor range/oven 15 years ago. The range works well, the LED lights on the gas knobs needed changed once in a while, the oven door wouldn’t close properly and the heat in the oven wasn’t distributed evenly. All that we could live with. Then the oven died. The repair technician ordered the part. Samsung don’t make it anymore. We are now left with no oven. So we have spent $800 a year on a Dacor range that now doesn’t work. Thanks Dacor… or Samsung?

Dacor EO227SCH - double wall oven. Installed all Dacor appliances when we did a kitchen renovation in 2008. Stove top, Micro Wave and Warming Drawer each have been excellent. Ovens have been a nightmare. Dacor would not honor warranty 7 days after it expired. Had no less than a dozen service calls in first 3 years. Ovens conveniently have problems around holidays. Example: lower oven quit working two days before this Thanksgiving - last week! Paid a high price to get Dacor and have paid thousands and spent countless hours on service calls since. Am totally dissatisfied with Dacor products and the companys refusal to stand behind its product. I tell everyone who is contemplating Dacor not to. Did it today with a couple who signed a contract for a $1M home in N Atlanta. Builder specified Dacor and I strongly advised against it. Homebuilder is now looking at other options.

Dacor Epicure Dual Fuel Range and Microwave - Where to begin? Perhaps at the end is best. Dacor appliances are shoddy, unreliable, outrageously expensive to repair and there is no customer support. That about covers it. We bought the above noted pair during our kitchen renovations 8 years ago. We thought that Dacor was a premium brand that would give us long trouble free service. How wrong we were! The only thing Premium about them is the price. 4 years ago, the microwave door refused to latch. Thanks to YouTube, I found out how to remove the door backing and found that the plastic part that comprised the latch was broken. Dacor was contacted - they no longer had the part. Try the open market I was told. I managed to jury rig a repair by using a wooden shim. 3 years ago, the range packed it in. Another repair - this time I was told it was the circuit board that had failed and which was replaced to the tune of $700 and I was cautioned that the second circuit board was not working very well - the interior light would not illuminate and the blue lights indicating a lit burner didnt work, and I should change it too. The smaller circuit board was costed out at $400. Last week, the door latch motor failed and the range began to beep incessantly. Now the oven cannot be used and repair costs quoted over the phone were in the 1000$ range. Thats it for us. Dacor is junk and belongs where its headed - the junkyard. Dont buy Dacor. Live and learn I guess.

Dacor Double Oven Model D0230 - I have had my oven since November 2011. I purchased an extended warranty at the time of buying the oven. Right after it was installed, I called and said they needed to come and adjust the temperature control. It was off at least 50 degrees. It never held the correct temperature. Since July, we have had to replace 2 relay boards, two other parts that should take care of erratic temperature. Then I noticed the gasket was turning black in the corner and my glass pack in the window was steaming up and not clearing. The extended warranty would not cover the glass replacement and I was charged $126. They said it was cosmetic, but this was so bad that I couldnt see through half the glass. The steam stained the glass and you could not clean it, because it was inside two pieces of glass. Do not buy a Dacor oven. In 38 months I have so many repairs that I have lost track.

Purchased a house with Dacor 2 Built in 30refrigerators that suppose to be under additional 1 year warranty after 2 year initial warranty expires, Both units were registered online and still showing being under warranty and the company refuse to take care of the issue. This is not how you treat customers and it tells that it does not matter if you buy $8000 refrigerator, you as a customer does not really matter. I am in the process of building another house right now and I was considering spending over $40,000 on Dacor appliances and that will definitely not happen since the company refuses to honor the warranty that is still active over broken door spring. What a shame!

We purchased a 4-door Dacor refrigerator for our new home. The appliance was delivered in March but we did not move in until mid-June. We have had one week of the ice maker working. Since then, (8 weeks now) we have been trying to get Dacor to replace or repair the refrigerator and to date nothing. Now the refrigerator is releasing water all over the kitchen floor (the ice maker is turned off) so we have to keep a towel on the floor. We have asked Dacor to replace the refrigerator but they are refusing to do so.

When I completely remodeled my kitchen 6 years ago, I actually went AGAINST the advice of my appliance dealer and kitchen designer and insisted on buying the Dacor 30 double convection wall oven. Id been longing for Dacor ovens for years and though they gently tried to steer me towards Miele or Electrolux, I dug in my heels. Ive regretted ever since. Since first use, my electronic display has not been without an error message. Every time I go to turn on the oven, theres a message telling me to clean the convection fan filter. I called Dacor and they told me to ignore it! It was a mistaken message. Still, I cleaned them repeatedly to no avail. The main electronic circuit board on the oven has gone out three times. They paid for it the first time because it was under warranty. The second time they sold me the part at a discount but I had to pay for the service call. Total cost to me: $480. The third time, I had to pay for everything myself. Total cost to me: $870. They told me its because I broiled with the door open. I have NEVER broiled with the door open! The inside lights go on and off randomly. The temperature probe has NEVER worked properly. Last week, I was preheating the oven to bake some cookies and an alarm went off giving me a cooling fan error message. The oven turned off and I cant get it to turn back on. I called Dacor customer service twice so far and the first time they told me they would research the issue and call me back. They NEVER CALLED. I called again and they told me they could ship me the part and I could pay for the service call. The lower oven is currently working so I havent done anything yet, but the oven originally cost me well over $5,000. I have put another $1,300 into it. Im not about to spend another $500-$600 on this complete waste of money. Bottom Line: Dacor sells junk for exorbitant prices and refuses to stand behind their products. I was an idiot to fall for the Only True Convection Oven in the market line. Im buying a Miele or a GE to replace.

We remodeled, added a very upscale kitchen in 2003, and chose Dacor appliances, 36 inch dual fuel stove, 30 inch wall oven, microwave, and a 30 inch dishwasher, well over $25000 worth. NONE of the appliances has worked properly, but the dishwasher has taken the cake. I have lost count on how many times I was in contact with the customer service. The digital board went bad, the error msgs kept coming for years! The racks/baskets rusted after just a couple of years! After numerous encounters with anybody I could get a hold of they were finally replaced, but not the right racks because they do not fit, falls off the side every time I use this dishwasher. I cannot tell you how frustrating this has been! I was eventually told that I could not complain anymore because I was out of warranty and they would not respond anymore! I am stuck with this $3000+ dishwasher that I cannot afford to replace, because I would have to rebuild that area of counter cabs in the kitchen! The service has been horrible. This was the most costly mistake purchase I have ever made.

I, too, purchased a 30 Heritage gas range in Nov 2018. The first time I ran the cleaning cycle (2 weeks ago), the oven heating went out. After time consuming attempts to reach the warranty dept, finally got a call back. Sent the required information and was told the warranty servicer would contact me within 48 hours. After not receiving such call, I reached out via email again to Dacor and was told to contact the servicer directly. Well, I just did that, and was told they refuse to service me because DACOR IS NOT PAYING THEM! How is that for a luxury appliance company making millions off of its customers and not paying its service companies? A very clear breach of contract since my warranty is active until November 2021. I have never in my life had such an experience, with the LG, KitchenAid ranges I have owned. Never even have needed one ounce of service in their life. So now I await a response from posts on Dacor FB page and voicemail I left, hoping for service. What a colossal waste of money. Buyer beware!

Dacor 27 electric double oven unreliability. Almost from first use the Dacor electric double oven has been plagued with problems including but not limited to door not locking when self cleaning, not self cleaning, door not unlocking upon completion of self cleaning, and filter issues. Since purchased in 2013 the top oven has been used between 75 and 100 times; the bottom oven less than 25 times. Yesterday the oven died. First error message U43 relay board. Second U60 cooling fan. Worse when the control board responsive/froze circuit breakers were needed to turn oven off.Repair estimate is $1600 plus tax. I intend to replace the overpriced and unreliable Dacor with a Kitchen Aide at approximately 13 the price based on customer and Consumer Reports reviews plus a new one year guarantee. I do not recommend the Dacor double oven if you are a serious cook and/or frequent user. Brand name and styling are less important than product reliability and useful life especially when you can purchase the former for two-thirds less money.

We purchased a Dacor 30 Heritage Gas range and installed it in early Oct 2020. Within a day a gas leak from the back of the range was identified by our gas contractor. Dacor repaired it quickly (12 hours). I was impressed (though concerned it already had an issue). In December 2020 I noticed that the oven indicator light was not coming on. I contacted customer service and despite indicating that there was a problem, was simply told what the light was for. Then, in February 2021 (under 5 months after installation) the oven stopped working. The service technician indicated it was an electrical issue and the gas would not ignite. It has now been over two weeks and we still do not have it repaired nor any indication of when it will be repaired. We spent $5200 on this range. I do not recommend Dacor.

I bought the refrigerator less than a year for over $4,000 and the vegetable drawer chipped. When I called Dacor, I was told that it was a cosmetic issue and was given a number to call and order the part. For a refrigerator less than a year and costing that much, I thought it should fall under its warranty. Another issue is the ice maker. It wont dispense ice and I have to always pull the ice bin and put it back in. The Dacor customer service said that its because air gets into the ice bin when I dispense ice and thats the solution. Once again, for such an expensive refrigerator under 1 year old, I would think customer service would be more customer oriented. Never again!

In 2008 I had the luxury of choosing kitchen appliances for our new home. I looked at them all and felt Dacor was the best choice. Choosing Dacor for our kitchen was the worst mistake I have made in kitchen appliances in any house in which I have lived (and there have been quite a few). The oven (48 dual fuel range) didnt work from day one. There was a problem with the temperature control. The oven would not shut off when it reached the desired temperature. Disappointing, but I told myself that sometimes things can go wrong and it should be an easy fix. Well, many service calls later and several re-wires of the unit, along with the installation of many new parts, the range still does not perform as well as the worst oven I have ever had. There is a tool that comes with the range that is used for taking the top off the unit to access the wires. My range was taken apart so many times that the tool wore out and had to be replaced. The front piece of the range no longer fits flush with the rest of the range. On one of our last service calls, I was told by the serviceman that Dacor said that under no circumstances would they consider replacement of my obviously faulty, beyond repair range. Eventually I got tired of repeated service calls. Sometimes servicemen would come out and say they didnt know how to fix it and leave. I would not expect such poor customer service from an entry level company. From a company touting themselves as a manufacturer of top of the line products, I would expect a greater desire to stand behind their products. The oven still does not work well. On convection bake, I must turn cookie sheets around or I will have doughy cookies on the same sheet as burned cookies. And forget using the convection setting to bake 2 sheets of cookies at once - it takes longer than baking them separately. I wish I could attach a picture! I also chose a Dacor microwave and refrigerator. One of the salesmen I spoke with about refrigerators said to make sure the unit we select did not have air transfer between the refrigerator and freezer, and the Dacor model did not do this. Well, when my 48 side-by-side arrived, it had the air transfer. I was disappointed but chose to live with it. Of greater concern to me is the noise the unit makes at times - sometimes loud enough I can hear it in other rooms of the house. I have not bothered to call for service. Im not interested in another fight to get Dacor to stand behind their poor quality overpriced products. At this point, I have no expectation of Dacor standing behind their products. I just want to share my experience with others who may be in the same situation I was - designing their dream kitchen - and save them the regret and continual disappointment in their Dacor products.

Less than two years ago, we purchased a Dacor classic wall oven from a local high end appliance store in Durham, NC. Within a few months, the electronics started getting glitchy; the oven started beeping in the middle of the night. I turned off the beep, but other problems started popping up. I baked a pie which was half raw on one side and overcooked on the other side -- not exactly what you would expect from a nearly $5000 oven. Recently, the display has been blinking in codes and the oven has been turning itself off. When I tried to call customer service, I was repeatedly put on hold for 30 minutes after which the system disconnected me. When I finally spoke to a person, she was very rude. This is a horrible company, a horrible product and I deeply regret that the salesperson at the store talked me into buying this awful oven. I am extremely unhappy.

We have an 11 year old Dacor double oven with convection on top. The relay board malfunctioned and there are no parts to repair this. All Dacor would tell us is that they dont carry the parts anymore. Evidently, they are not required by law beyond about 8 years and that appears to be all they do. Our appliance repair person even contacted a company that rebuilds electronics and they cant get parts for this board. It is unbelievable considering what we paid for the oven. So we now have to replace it. Dacor offered us a discount on a new one. Not good enough. I cant imagine putting another Dacor product in. Updated on 09/25/2020: I wrote my original review of Dacor back in June 2020. This was after 4 months after I first started having trouble with my Dacor dishwasher. It is now September 25th, and still waiting on parts from Dacor to get dishwasher fix. Now the $10k refrigerator is not working and have been awaiting parts on it for over two months. This is absolutely the worst “high end” brand I have ever bought. This now a Samsung owned company and is not worth the money. Stay clear if this brand. Look at the other brands in this category like Wolf, Sub Zero, Miele.Original Review: I purchased a complete Dacor Kitchen package worth close to $20k for a home I did a renovation on. We had the dishwasher a month and it has not worked since. Finally they sent out someone to service it. The service tech said nothing was wrong with it. The next day after the servicemen left it was back making the same horrible sounds and AGAIN not working. I called warranty for about the 8th time and all the rep could tell me is... that did we read our manual and make sure we were operating it properly???? WOW!! Im a custom home builder and have bought numerous high end appliances packages and generally have had good service and even replacement if its a major problem. Dacor makes it sound like this is my fault, that they sold me an INFERIOR product!! Dont waste your money on DACOR. Miele, Wolf, Sub Zero all have superior products and service!!

I have had my 30 inch Dacor Dual Fuel Range since 2002. In the past month, the oven door seems to be falling apart. I had to replace the oven door handle after the handle cracked in the spots on the right hand side where the screws go in. When I tried to screw the new handle in, I noticed that the front panel on the door is lifting away from the door. It is more separated on the right hand side which leads me to believe that it is the reason that the handle cracked on that side. As a result, the handle cannot be properly installed. The only way this can be repaired is to call someone in to do it and it will either have to be glued together or the whole door would need replacing. Reading these forums, Im worried that my oven problems are just beginning and I dont want to start sinking money into this oven. I purchased a Dacor as I believed it was a high quality product and that it would be worth the money and last a long time. This type of problem should not be occurring. I do not consider 10 years a long time for a product like this. My sister has had her Jenn Air oven for almost 20 years and it has no signs of wearing out.

Cooktop appeared fine when we received, but when we went to install, noticed something rattling inside. Looking through vent, noticed several broken interior pieces moving around. Contacted Dacor 3 weeks ago for a replacement or repair, and still nothing. They made us go through dealer, and last week told dealer we refused service. Ridiculous! Now they are telling dealer they cant find a servicer nearby. Am considering declining payment through credit card company for their lack of follow through and service, and let them come get their unit.

I built my home in 2003 and installed a Dacor 30 wall oven. After several years of poor performance, we started to get an error message. Dacor suggested replacing a board for $300. That didnt work so they had me replace another $300 board. That didnt work so they told me I needed a new front panel and it would run about $1,000. That board is on back order and they dont have a replacement date. Thinking that its bad business to sink $1600 into a troubled product that has terrible reviews on the internet. We found out that once you go with Dacor, you need to stay with Dacor due to an unusual, nonstandard size.Thinking that Dacor has improved their product we ordered a brand new $3,000 Dacor RO130 30 wall oven. It arrived promptly and I removed the defective $3,000 oven and put in the brand new $3,000 Dacor RO130 oven. What I got was a dead brick. The Dacor customer service has been awful, and will not allow me to talk to anyone in their technical side. The oven is getting power. Dacor customer service wouldnt help me unless I could prove that the unit was getting power. So I had to get an electrician in to prove that I had properly wired the 4 cords that came off the original defective Dacor wall oven. Get service help? No chance. I live 100 miles from Seattle and no one wants to work on Dacor. So here I sit with a $3,000 brick. No service and Dacor has no clue on how they will service this wonderful $3,000 RO130 30 wall oven that is an out of box failure. I dont see how a company that has this bad of a product, two generations of defective ovens, bad customer service, reluctance from the repair community to work on their products will be in business much longer. If you are considering Dacor appliances, consider the problems that I am having. The nonstandard size of their ovens will lock you into future purchases to replace their products that dont last 10 years.

I have a 4 year old Dacor Renaissance 36 in gas range. The thermostat is broken, the self-clean cycle doesnt work due to a broken lock and the oven indicator light stopped working about 2 years ago. Pros: It is an attractive oven with the knobs that light up blue when on and the burners all work fine but that is it! The technician told me ALL parts I need are on backorder due to Dacor being bought out by Samsung 2 years ago and COVID related delays. He also told me there is no ETA on those parts and said it could be an unknown amount of months. So now I dont have an oven for an unknown amount of time. This is unacceptable. I was sharing my frustrations with a friend who recommended I post this on Dacor Applicances Facebook page. He thought I would get an immediate helpful response. So I did. It was taken down not more than 3 minutes after it was posted! They never even reached out. Pretty poor company service. I will never buy Dacor anything again. Even when the oven was working ok - it never kept good heat and the self-clean cycle never cleaned well - there was lots of grease residue left behind. This is a poor quality company all around. Believe the negative reviews. If I could give negative stars, I would.

I have a Dacor refrigerator that cools poorly and needs servicing. Refrigerator manufacture date March 2017. When I acquired the refrigerator I signed up for the Dacor standard warranty (1 year) and the Promotional additional 2-year Dacor standard warranty advertised as 3-For-Free warranty. I contacted Dacor customer support by phone today. After an hour on hold, they said that they would have to check with their supervisor. 2 hours later I received a call back saying that its only a 2-year warranty. Their website where I registered my product (warranty.dacor.com/member) clearly indicates that my refrigerator is still under warranty. When I confronted them with this, their answer was anyone can register anything on the website and it proves nothing. In other words, registering your product offers you absolutely no protection.I provided their supervisor all documentation requested, (including proof of title of ownership of my house!), and they still repeatedly stated its only a 2 year warranty. When asked where they are getting this information, they simply said thats what we have in our system. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but they said none were available. I left a message with the supervisor, but none ever returned my call.Dacor continues to offer their 3-For Free warranty to this very day. As a busy physician, I keep good records and pay attention to detail. Dacor has been to my home previously without incident. I am extremely disappointed in what appears to be the companys blatant attempt to deny warranty coverage despite ample documentation that its still covered. I would caution folks that their 3 year for Free warranty is simply not true based on my personal experience today. I will no longer be purchasing any Dacor products because of this, and will relay my story to anyone interested in purchasing Dacor products.

Unfortunately, the screw broke in two that held our Dacor refrigerator door on and much to our dismay, the door fell off. Dacor was prompt and courteous in sending a replacement lower refrigerator door hinge to the service company and covered the full cost of labor even though they initially said the refrigerator was out of warranty (two years old). Our experience was positive with James who gave timely and a customer-focused response. He also called to follow-up after the repair to make sure we were happy which I appreciated. I hated that the door broke but was very pleased with the repair and the fact that I did not have to pay.

Dacor refuses to take responsibility for defects in their products. Our wall oven required two cooling fan motors and two relay boards over a relatively short period of time. In addition, all of the sensors had to be hard wired when the oven stopped working, and our service technician was informed by Dacor that moisture tended to get into the sensors on these ovens. We spent nearly $1500 on these repairs. Reaching a customer care representative at Dacor can take upwards of 20 minutes. Phone calls are not returned. Customers are left to pay the cost of defects in Dacor products.

Temp fluctuates by 100 degrees. Going on my third service call and still not working. It very unfair, I have to take time off work to wait for repair person, then nothing is fixed. I wish I could return this lemon. But after reading other reviews I am not alone. Why is this company not accountable for ripping hard working people off. I love cooking. Its my passion. I purchased a Dacor double wall oven in May 2011 at a reduced price from a secondary market. Due to cosmetic defects, it wasnt sold by an authorized Dacor dealer. I bought it at what I thought was a fair price, considering the cosmetic defects. When our home was completed in November 2011, we installed the oven but found the oven would not heat up to the set temperature. I was told by the company I bought it from that it would be eligible to be covered under the manufacturers warranty. I called Dacor and was told that since I didnt buy it from an authorized dealer, they would not cover it under their warranty even though I had it under one year. Since I had to give Dacor the serial number when I called it in, they now have a permanent record to that end. I have had no oven because I cannot pay to have it repaired.

We purchased the Dacor modernist Refrigerator, after waiting several weeks to get it installed we noticed the water dispenser did not function properly, we contacted the retailer whom we purchased the appliance from and after several back and forth emails to verify our proof of purchase they put us in touch with a repair technician. After a few days they came to our home to review the issue and noted that this was a known design issue with the refrigerator and that our house water pressure maybe too high and they would have to come back out and install a special valve to fix the issue. Later they called and said Dacor will not acknowledge this as their issue and to call a plumber. After spending over $20k on Dacor appliances I would have thought their white glove VIP customer service would be better. Buy Viking!

He said that he replaces these hinges on Dacor stoves ALL THE TIME and that the company really needs to file a recall on these hinges and/or reimburse consumers who have these installed. He said these should not go bad like they do. That this is poor manufacturing on Dacors part and they are not being held accountable. I agree 100%. We moved into our home in 2012 and have had nothing but problems with our Dacor refrigerator (Dacor Model EF48DCBSS). Our issue is the drain pan heater AGAIN. This problem is, water that collects in the drain pan freezes and eventually builds up to a point where the fan motor starts hitting it, sounding like a helicopter landing in your kitchen! Weve had this problem repaired THREE times by TWO DIFFERENT repair companies to the tune of $1000. Both repair technicians said it was a design flaw and this problem would continue to happen regardless of how many icing kits were replaced. So a $7000 refrigerator will cost us $1000 a year to keep running?!?!?! After much research, its apparent we are not alone with this problem. We also had a Dacor microwave just STOP working (model #DMT2420S). It was only 8 years old. Our Dacor oven range (model #ER48DSCH) has two ovens and only one side retains the heat. The main side gets to about 300 degrees and then the temperature starts dropping. Here is the breakdown of costs for our so called high end appliances. Dual Fuel Range - $10000, refrigerator - $7000 (annual repairs of $1000), microwave - $500 (had to purchase new microwave $600). PLEASE LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKE AND DO NOT PURCHASE DACOR APPLIANCES. We have a refrigerator/freezer that we bought from Sears SIXTEEN years ago for $500. Still works like a charm! And thank God we have it, because it has had to be our backup for our $7000 Dacor.

We purchased our home brand new in August 2006. The house was built and the appliances installed (but never used) in 2003. One of the things that sold us on the house was the kitchen being comprised of all high-end Dacor appliances (double convection oven, cooktop, dishwasher, and built-in microwave). Our excitement quickly turned to frustration. The first problems began with the dishwasher, which after several attempts at repair (circuit board) was begrudgingly replaced by Dacor, with “begrudgingly” being the key word. I have always found Dacor customer service to be rude and dismissive - with the only way that I ever received a satisfactory outcome, being via threats of contacting the BBB and Missouri Attorney General.About a year after receiving the replacement dishwasher, the internal racks began rusting badly. Once again, I called customer service who originally wanted to sell me new racks at a discount. Only after another persistent round of explaining that high-end dishwasher racks should be made from a material that doesnt rust, complaining and threatening, did I receive new racks free of charge. I was also informed that they had changed rack manufacturers and that would eliminate the rusting problem. Wrong. It has now been another couple of years, and the new racks are rusted worse than the previous ones. That is just the dishwasher. Our Dacor microwave display began slowly losing its LED display about 2 years ago. Lately, the microwave interior lining is beginning to disintegrate and rust through. One of the burners on our gas cooktop makes a constant popping noise when lit. The top half of our double convection oven no longer heats beyond 250 degrees. I realize that our appliances are now significantly beyond their warranty period, so I am no longer even attempting a resolution through Dacor. I will most likely ride these appliances into their graves and replace them with another brand. I am writing this mainly to alert others about my experiences with what I believe to be Dacors total lack of quality at a premium price. In my opinion, Dacor is all style and no substance.

DONT recommend model #MOH130. We were so impressed with the options that this oven came with. Sadly, with all the bells and whistles also came a ton of repairs. After the 4th repair, our service rep said the relay board needed to be switched out. (Half of the service men who came to my house seemed to be grasping at straws trying to come up with an explanation why the temperature was fluctuating, or why it took so long to heat up, etc.) Then I get to wait 2 weeks for a part to be ordered/arrived and re-schedule service. I paid over $6000.00 for a Dacor EF48BNDBSS refrigerator and have had nothing but problems with this item and the other Dacor item (dishwasher) that I bought when I had a new kitchen built for my new life of retirement. The first refrigerator that was delivered did not work when it was installed and was returned immediately. I had to wait for Dacor to send another one and I have had to pay several service calls each time since that point. I am disgusted that I paid over $10,000 on two appliances from Dacor and neither of them has ever worked even at a low grade basic level. Both of my items have been discontinued and Dacor reimbursed me for half of what I paid for the dishwasher, which did not even cover all of the repair calls that I had paid for ongoing service. At that dealing, I got tired of paying for repair calls for the refrigerator due to excessive icing in the freezer; supposedly there was a quick fix right after I had the unit installed and it did not fix the issue. Now, there is another quick fix that Dacor suggests and that will cost me $800. Really? I dont think so. In fact, I have researched this issue and have found that this quick fix does not solve the problem either. In addition, I have called Dacor numerous times about the refrigerator door not sealing and the refrigerator making all kinds of strange noises. They told me it was the seal, so I had the seal replaced and that was not the issue. Then I paid $235.00 for a service call to look at the seal and he said that this refrigerator has known problems for hinge issues and he attempted to fix the hinge and left and the problem continued. Between the hinge issues, the constant icing issues in the freezer and the food icing over as well along with the trays and inner shelving of the freezer, the refrigerator sealing and the hinges working, and the constant crazy noises that the refrigerator makes, I am ready to file a lawsuit for a lemon of a product. This is the second product that has recall issues and multiple problems. I am sure that with my documentation, a judge would have no problem agreeing that I have paid way too much and put in way too much time and energy into getting a decent appliance into my kitchen. I would never recommend Dacor to anyone. I am dissatisfied and refuse to pay another penny for service calls on these appliances that were installed in 08/2012. At this point, my refrigerator is unplugged and unusable and I am using a small refrigerator that I bought at Costco for $300.00 thirteen years ago that has never had one problem.

We had our whole kitchen renovated and purchased Dacor appliances through Caplans Appliances. We purchased the appliances in the summer of 2019 and they were shipped shortly after. Since our kitchen was still under construction the appliances sat in our home. They were installed the second week of November. Two months ago, I woke up to a sucking noise from the dishwasher. The dishwasher had a code of LC. We removed the custom kick plate to realize that there was water damage. Dacor has been contacted on numerous occasions regarding this and the dishwasher continues to leak. We have had 5 service calls to house and the problem persists. The seal has been replaced twice in a 2 week period. The repair company HARGTA gives us a window and does not show up at that time causing me to sit around all day waiting for them and then some days having to cancel work. Dacor customer service continues to say the Regional Tech Manager will be the one to provide the resolution and we have not heard from them yet. The reviews on here clearly indicate that the dishwasher leaks. We are risking damaging our floors which were put in at the same of our renovation. Looking for a resolution ASAP. We purchased a Dacor dual fuel oven range in 2008 in conjunction with an extensive kitchen remodel. It was beautiful and expensive. It has had innumerable problems. 2008: One of the igniters broke requiring replacement. 2014: oven stopped working, required new relay board. June 2020: Relay board again broke, oven stopped working. December 2020: Oven stopped working, heating element broke. These were serious problems each resulting in 1-2 months without an oven as the parts had to be special ordered. We have not had an oven since December 2020 (it is now March 2021). We are waiting for a replacement part. In addition, minor problems included a broken indicator light and burner grating. Dacor customer service was only moderately helpful, referring us to local repair companies that had difficulty obtaining parts. Dacor has told us that this should last decades but we are seriously considering replacing it after 12 years because it is very unreliable. I would not recommend a Dacor based on our experience.

Purchased a Dacor DT0227B wall oven. The first oven arrived damaged; the control panel was completely off the unit. We ordered a replacement oven which arrived today. Upon turning on the power, error codes C76 and C77 appeared on the control panel display. The installers phoned your service people who instructed them to remove the front panel and look for a loose wire. When they removed the front panel, the entire control board was just hanging free, not secured in place with any screws (it appeared that this was an assembly error). They found a wire hanging, secured it in place, reattached the control panel and applied power. At this time the error codes were no longer displayed and they were able to set the time. When they attempted to start up an oven cycle to test the unit, the Start/Continue button on the membrane keypad was not responding. Another call to your service team determined that the control panel would need to be replaced. 2 ovens within 2 weeks arrived DEAD! The quality is beyond unacceptable. I sent an e-mail to the CEO of the company before I posted this. I received a response from a QA guy. I bought a Dacor appliance package for a new custom home which costs over $30K+. Every single piece of appliance is defective. I am OK as long as Dacor can fix or address the issues but it takes them several visits, put the appliance out of order and fixing it does not happen any earlier than 8-10 Weeks. Imagine you living with a fridge, microwave, range and oven for 10+ weeks. The column freezer stops making ice. I call for service and tech informs the lever was jam and he fixed it. Wait 48 hours. After 48 hours still no ice. Another call and after a wait of 3 weeks another visit and diagnose need new part. Wait for part 4+ weeks and another 3+ weeks for replacement. Fridge does not cool and maintains temp 45 degree+. Service tech showed up 3 times and promised it is fixed. Have thrown out thousands of dollars worth food. To date I dont have it fixed. Waiting for a part, tech not available scheduling issues etc. To date I have been out of fridge (8/12/2021) 9 weeks from I made the first call. Currently I have a tech scheduled for 9/1/21.This is not the end. Microwave will run normally and wont heat the food. After several phone call and waiting they figured the door pin was not connecting properly and need parts to fix. After 10+ MONTHS it looks like it is fixed. The range control panel is hanging from underneath and no one seems to care to fix it. Every time I call they tell me its normal. I believe Dacor has not QA/QC in place prior to shipping the appliances to customer. Worst experience ever. If you need more details do not hesitate to call me on **. I hope you run away from Dacor. Dont even consider this option. I have a track of all phone call and email and timeline with Dacor service. I am planning to file a lawsuit and recoup some of the costs and losses.

In 2008, I purchased my dream home and had the opportunity to build my kitchen from scratch. At the time, I shopped Viking, Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Dacor. I made an appointment to tour the Dacor showroom and was blown away by the aesthetics and advertised performance of their line. I made the decision to fill my kitchen with Dacor products: dishwasher (ED24SCH), dual range (ER48DSCH), range hood (EH4818SCH), fridge, and microwave (DMT2420). To date, the fridge is the only appliance that has not malfunctioned. Within the first month, the microwave blew a fuse (covered by warranty). Within the first 6 months, the dishwashers motherboard blew (also covered by warranty).Since the 1-year warranties have expired, the range hoods electrical unit malfunctioned and ceased working properly ($400-plus in repair). The motherboard on the dishwasher has gone out twice ($1200-plus). The dishwasher rack has completely rusted and the wheels have fallen off ($800 to replace). The lights on my oven dial is out and the glass bottom inside the oven that covers the heating element has cracked (nothing has been spilled or dropped). In fact, I only use that side for Thanksgiving. I am extremely bummed (to say the least) and I feel that the products that I was sold do not live up to the quality level that they advertise. Additionally, the replacement parts are obscenely expensive, and at this time it makes more sense to replace the units rather than dump more money into a pit.

We have 3 Dacor appliances that we purchased new when we remodeled our kitchen a few years ago. Our cooktop’s igniter continually clicks even when it is not in the light position. This only happens on the front 2 burners (the back 3 are fine). We have cleaned the unit and cleaned the igniters over and over. We have had 2 authorized Dacor service companies and another company look at our unit. Two said no fix exists; the other replaced a part after talking to Dacor and that did not fix it. When I called Dacor, they noted to get another service company and call them when they are here. I am concerned that this again will not work and I will have to pay another service fee. When they were here I asked them to replace a light in our double oven, but they noted they would have to remove the oven from the wall to do that and it would be costly, to which I said no thanks. Is it true that the oven has to be removed to replace a light? Another issue is that our double wall oven’s upper unit only gets warm to about 200 degrees. Another issue is that the microwave door open button does not move the door, we have to push it and pull the door open by hand. I have turned to Dacor service and to our local service techs and we are at our wits’ end. Any help here?

We purchased a Dacor Double Wall Oven in late November of 2019. I liked the oven and it functioned well until October of 2020 when the oven quit working due to a control panel issue. We were told the part was on back order. I continued to check with Dacor customer service and was continually told the same thing -- it was on back order. Never once did they call me to give me an update. In December of 2020 when I called I was told there was an update. The part was no longer on back order it was no longer in production, they no longer make the part. They would review the file to see if they were going to give me credit for the oven or get me a new oven. I contacted them again today and was told it was still under review and it could take them another couple of weeks to decide what to do. I asked to speak with a supervisor but was told that there was not one available. The person I spoke with today said that she would call me next week to give me an update. I appreciate her concern but that does not get me closer to a working oven. I would not recommend Dacor to anyone, customer service is terrible.

We purchased this unit 7 years ago, just a family of two with visiting grandchildren. Unit came, had a crooked door and a bent latch, which we had serviced and supposedly corrected. When self cleaning the latch still made grinding noises. Over a year ago the oven stopped working period. A December service call said needs a new latch, sensor and display -we are now in 4 figures($). Oven operates for month and a half. January 2019 Service call now new door latch, relay board and main wire harness 4 figures again double! Oven stops working yesterday (June). Service call today new latch, motherboard and something else and another 4 figure repair cost. Same repair parts same problem! Patience is a virtue, but repair costs are sinful! In September 2009 we did a complete remodel of our kitchen. Replaced everything but the refrigerator, with DACOR appliances. Within a few months we had problems with the dishwasher and finally replaced it with a GE in 2012. About that same time we had problems with the Dacor Epicure 30 Single Oven Model EO130SCH control panel and had to have the repairman out to work on the relay/computer board. At Christmas 2015 I had trouble baking, the temperature wasnt accurate and have had the repairman again. He says that the computer board is fried (his term). Ive tried calling Customer Service with no success. Ive e-mailed them with same results. The appliance repairman has told me that he cant find the part. All the distributors that hes called have been told that the part is on back order. Ive been without an oven for over two months now with no fix in sight. Have been told that IF we find the part it will probably run around $500.00. These are appliances that are only six years old and have had gentle use by senior citizens. Anyone reading this - PLEASE DONT BUY DACOR! Youll be sorry as I am.

I completed a 7-month total remodel of our kitchen and family room, which were connected in November 2007. The kitchen remodel cost $18,000 for various Dacor appliances including the Millenia series of wall oven MOV130S; warming drawer MWDV30; and 42 island hood DHI42130. The remaining includes the huge 30 Epicure dishwasher ED30SCP, 36 cooktop EG366SCH, and beverage center EF24LBCSS. All have the beautiful copper accent package and make for highly attractive appliances. We constantly receive accolades for them. If only they werent absolute garbage functionally and reliability-wise. Others have remarked how the ignitors on the cooktop continually spark, even after the light off. After contacting Dacor and waiting 2 weeks for the repair, for which Dacor sent the wrong part and caused another 2-week delay, the repairman had to rip off the front accent lip of the cooktop to reach the base which significantly dented the front lip. The ignitor worked like a champ for 2 days, then click, click, click - constant ignitions. So I cleaned around the ignitor tip with 409, dried it and it worked flawlessly. Thanks Dacor for your own product ignorance and my now dented cooktop. It has worked well since and is a sound product, so far. If only my luck held out.Next, the wall oven. Very beautiful and my control panel has held out (fingers faithlessly crossed). The oven isnt calibrated though, so follow cooking directions at your own risk. This oven will burn your food if you set the temp and timer to the recommended settings. I have to take off 25-50 degrees and 5-10 minutes of requested cook time or I will smoke any meal. After 2 years of use, I decided to use the cleaning cycle - following the directions to the letter. Forty five minutes into the cycle and kaboo! The front window shattered. Dacor says $700+ for glass replacement; I say send me the part and Ill do it. I got the discounted part for $68; spent 3 hours cleaning and reassembling with care; and the window has held, but I havent tried the cleaning cycle since. Why roll the dice again?Ah, now my fave garbage Dacor appliance - the interminable dishwasher. Truly engineered by the diabolical. I just completed my fourth major repair after 5 years of use. First, the drain valve failed after a few months of use causing flood and was replaced under warranty. Then the door seal failed (more flooding) and was also repaired and replaced under warranty. The dishwasher stinks, by the way, as the unit cannot evaporate effectively during drying cycle due to ridiculously poor rear venting design. So I have to leave the door wide open for hours after use to facilitate drying and stench reduction. The control panel/circuit board has fried twice now in the last 3 years - it just starts erratically beeping and refuses to take input, even with a power reset. Both technicians stated the design and quality of the board is third world, which likely is exactly where Dacor outsourced the garbage. The island hood and warming drawer have worked well, and the beverage center has been reliable but maddeningly causes back left cans of soda to freeze and explode occasionally; even with the set temperature raised to now 45 degrees. Fun to clean up after coming home from a long trip. My expectations are so laughingly low now for these Dacor products that I dont bat an eye with the frozen soda muck this fridge occasionally produces. Customer service though has been helpful and thankfully, American. They have replaced both circuit boards for free well out of warranty. I have only appreciation and great sympathy for the customer service folks who Ive spoken with. I love my kitchen, but hate the appliances in it. Never again Dacor. Never again.

After purchasing what I thought would be ovens of a lifetime I could not be more disappointed, frustrated and angry at a company in my buying history! Since November of 2014 and longer I have been fighting for service or answers or at least honesty! The ovens have never worked properly, they do not keep temperature. The oven temperature drops 60 to 75 degrees while cooking over a couple hours. The control board was replaced. Still the ovens never worked. If you like to cook and cook for the bed and breakfast, which is why you bought an oven like this, you will have your ovens on for a couples hours preparing any multi-dish meal! I was treated rudely on the phone during routine troubleshooting and was never allowed to speak to a manager. Dacor for months or so later is buying back my ovens minus a restocking fee, on ovens that dont work, $1200!

We purchased the Model MOH130S in 2006 from a very reputable distributor of high-end appliances. In 2009 we required a service call to deal with temperature control. The oven was out by more than 40 degrees Fahrenheit. This resulted in a relay board, item 101559, to be replaced. Dacor was nice enough to cover the cost of the board, but not the cost of the $152.00 service call. In 2013, guess what? Relay board, this time out by more than 50 degrees, item # 101559 required replacement again only this time it was not covered and cost of $628.00. Here we are, 2016 waiting for the service provider again as temperature is out by over 60 degrees. Roasts, Turkeys, Chickens and everything else have been dying slow deaths in this unit and are awaiting yet another bill to deal with temperature control. Dacor will do nothing until another $150 service call confirms the problem. Hmmm! What to do?

We purchased a Dacor built-in refrigerator in 2011. After just 5 years the warning beeper came on. We learned that the main control panel - built by Whirlpool - was defective. We then learned that Dacor did not have any replacement part for this model. Our only alternative was the purchase a new refrigerator. Amazing!! Dacor reluctantly gave us a partial credit for a new (KitchenAid) model. However at the end of the day we are out of pocket over $2000 because Dacor built and sold a defective refrigerator with no ability to fix the problem. Very unsatisfactory handling of this situation.

We remodeled our kitchen in 2001 and bought a Dacor Epicure 30 dual fuel range. The gas cooktop has never been a problem, unlike the oven which has been a problem from the first week with unpredictable temperature variations. Multiple holiday meals have seen the extended family waiting for dinner for two hours because the oven decided to be cool that day. The advice from Dacor: preheat your oven for several hours before you need it or my favorite from a repairman: you must be slamming your oven door. Not helpful. Several expensive repairs later (over $2100) and one fire in the oven now it wont turn on at all. We are going to try one last time to repair it and then we are done. I do not recommend Dacor to anyone - too expensive to have such terrible quality and service.

We purchased a home with a 5 year old Dacor Discovery IQ Double Wall Oven. Model Number DYO230S. Great looking and it has a very sophisticated and functionally rich digital control system. Problem is the digital control system does not work. The stove has a mind of its own and will just shut off for 24 to 48 hours and return to function randomly. Shutting the power off and turning it back on has no effect. Dacor (Now Samsung) has been completely un-helpful. Bottom line response - tough. Product is no longer produced, replacement parts no longer in stock - maybe there is a part on eBay ** Honest that is the answer. I have called parts companies who also complain about Dacor (now Samsung). No luck. So we will now need to purchase a replacement product for anywhere from 4,000 to 10,000 dollars. To replace a 5 year old - 8,000 product. It will definitely not be a Dacor or Samsung product. And I will do my best to put similar reviews on the internet where ever I can.Just to add some balance - 21 years ago we custom built a home and purchased two Dacor ovens. Both were great. 21 years of flawless operation. When we saw this oven as we went through the home purchase process we were delighted. What a disappointment. Also - before the oven started to go wacky on us we needed to replace the bulbs (2) in the oven light fixture. Initially I contacted Dacor parts and had a very pleasant experience ordering the two replacements. However nothing came to our home. Called again and found that Dacor had been sold to Samsung and the price of the bulbs had doubled or more. No exaggeration. Stay away from Dacor and Samsung.

Talked into spending $4700 on a wall oven on the recommendation of an appliance retailer. My concern was even baking and reliability. Was told I would be very happy as Dacor was best on the market. Well long story short, it never cooked evenly and after 8 years quit working. Had to lug the heavy oven to the city to an approved service provider. They thought it was the relay board (told the brains of the oven). Service provider changed several things (sensors, board and whatever else). Nothing solved problem. Phoned me and said I was looking at minimum $2000 and up. He threw oven in garbage. We didn’t even send the gas money to bring the dud home.Thought it should last longer than 8 years. I phoned Dacor. They wanted to know exactly what the problem and diagnosis was so I told them to phone the Service Provider. Said they would but I had to email copy of receipt which I did. Updated on 02/23/2021: Its been several weeks since I first posted. The only reply that Ive received was an email via this site that requested information from me on my claims. What I did receive was a notice from Samsung (who has acquired Dacor) telling me that one of my service tickets has been cancelled. I dutifully called the listed number to get more information... only to be told that the Samsung customer service rep could not help me and that I needed to call Dacor. Ive tried to approach this matter with humor up to this point but I am out of patience. Given the price I paid for these products, I expected a premium customer experience... the experience I have received has been abysmal.Original Review: I did not think that a customer experience could be this AWFUL or that a vendor could seem to care less than Dacor cares about resolving my issues. After 5 months, the exhaust downdraft that we purchased still does not work and Dacor either does not respond or - when I can get someone on the phone - I get any number of standard excuses (parts shortages, Covid, port backlogs are delaying deliveries, the integration with Samsung, etc, etc). I am also missing basic parts such as shelves(!) that should have been installed during the original installation. The retail partner (Specialty Appliance) does not seem to have anymore luck in getting answers.

I rarely write reviews but when I found your site, I decided it was time to vent. I bought a 36 dual fuel, convection Epicure range in 1999. It was not a cheap oven and I was excited at the possibilities of having a 16,000 BTU broiler and large oven cavity to work with. Lets just say that excitement quickly wore off. Almost immediately after the range went out of warranty, the ignitors went bad and we also had to replace the control panel ($400 in repairs was a lot back then). After that, we continued to have ignitor problems and replaced them again. Finally, I just stopped doing it and lit them with my aim and flame. I never allow my children to cook on the stove because I am afraid they will be burned. Most recently, my broiler element, relay board and again more ignitor problems ($1,200 in repairs). Not to mention, the repairman had a terrible time trying to access all the areas and was at my house for 4 hours trying to do so. When the initial problems happened, I emailed, phoned, left message, etc. to no avail with customer service (I use that term loosely). This company is the worst. I have told everyone I know never to buy a Dacor anything. Next time, Ill buy a Wolf.

We have a Dacor Epicure 36 six burner range. It has been a regular source of trouble since it was installed as part of a kitchen remodel in 2006. The igniter for the broiler went out 18-24 months after we got the oven. A year or so after that the weld that holds the bottom oven rack bracket to the oven itself popped loose making it impossible to use the lowest rack position in the oven. Last year the circuit board that controls, among other things, turning the bottom oven element on stopped working. Not only is the board itself quite expensive, but it is buried deep under the top of the stove taking lots of expensive hours of repair time to remove and replace. And now the burner igniters have begun to over spark (e.g., continue to click long after the burner has been lit, burners sparking that have not been turned on). The repairman tells me that is a different circuit board so we could be heading to another $500 or so in repair bills or perhaps a trip to the dump and a much cheaper replacement range. We have had other Dacor equipment (cooktop, wall oven, warming drawer) and have not had a problem with any of them. But given our experience with the Epicure I cant imagine ever buying another.

Dacor dual fuel 30 inch range - First of all the look of the dacor is second to none in my opinion. The digital screen with blue lighting makes this a truly elegant part of any kitchen..... when it works. The range top itself worked flawlessly for me and the main burner was always more than enough. The problem with the range lies in the electronics. The unit has been in my home for over a year and has worked for less than a month total. An error code appeared when ever the oven gets hot. C33, C1, 0000, 1111, C11. Ive seen it all. I have had the main board replaced twice and my local repairman is on first name basis with even my dogs at this point. The final straw for me was when the oven door glass shattered while cooking and when dacor was contacted they said that happens. Im think Ill try Viking.....

I have a Dacor 27 inch wall (model EOR) oven which I bought 2 years ago, along with a micro and a warming drawer. Since then, the control panel has been replaced twice. Both times because, after using the timer mode, the beeper would come on at all hours of the day and night. In both instances, I had to cut the power to the oven until the replacement part arrived. I am presently waiting for the third panel to arrive. Today I needed to bake something, so I turned the power to the oven back on. Now it will only function at 350 degrees and only in the bake mode. No other numbers can be put in and nothing happens when I select convection. So far Dacor has absorbed the cost of the parts and repairs, but that does not mitigate the hassle of having to wait upwards of 2 months for a part each time this happens.
