I never write reviews but for this company I created an account just so I can write a review. I bought a Frigidaire appliance from Home Depot. Within 2 weeks a brand new fridge breaks. Find out there is only a 48 hour return policy. Had to spend over an hour calling Home Depot and Frigidaire to get it fixed. Had to call the repairman myself. They gave me a list of 6 repairman and only 1 actually still works for the company. Takes 3 days for them to look at it. Takes 7 days for them to order the part. Takes another week for them to come back and fix the fridge. The whole time the fridge does not work. What to do without another fridge? Had to buy another fridge since over 2 weeks. Worst company ever. Try calling their customer number and it takes forever to get through. WILL NEVER BUY A FRIGIDAIRE APPLIANCE EVER AGAIN. Model # BA63823131

As a result of an inability to control freezer temperature, food in freezer
As a result of an inability to control freezer temperature, food in freezer got freezer burn and in fridge any beverages next to freezer wall got ice in them. Service company, Anderson Appliance of Pensacola, was very responsive and tried replacing all electronics to no avail. After replacing two boards and reprogramming them, they declared it a defective refrigerator and put me in contact with Frigidaire warranty. At first this was a very frustrating process as they only wanted to replace it with the replacement for that model which would not match the finish on the 3 appliances we bought at the same time while building our custom home. We expected that any replacement provided would have to match the other Frigidaire appliance we bought less than 6 months before.I wound up calling and getting another warranty representative who was sympathetic to our issue and immediately had the supervisor upgrade us to the only refrigerator with the same finish at no cost to us. Juanique and Matt ** were very helpful in quickly resolving our issue and following up to ensure that the vendor we bought the refrigerator from ordered our replacement and did not charge us for it. Although it took a long time to get the initial approval, once I found the right staff in the warranty department, our new refrigerator was delivered within a few weeks. We love the new refrigerator which holds its temperature in both compartments and are thankful that Frigidaire helped us resolve this issue to our satisfaction.

Ordered a replacement part from this company and they sent the wrong piece. Discovered a problem with the people they have in the ordering department. They do not listen to you, make promises they never keep and the supervisors go only by the reps notes so they intentionally do not put anything in those notes to protect themselves. Called three times for a return form and I was told I never called. Ordered my part from a small business and received it in one day. Terrible customer service.Bought Frigidaire refrigerator, stove and dishwasher for the new addition in 2014. Fridge burned out the motherboard 3 years later (used a 50 year old Sears Coldspot that still works for weeks). Ice maker has always had cubes that stick so it clunks till you pull out the cube. Hardly ever use it. The one time I did turn it on and didnt hear the clunking but when I opened the door I found the entire freezer frozen in a giant ice cube from top to bottom. The dishwasher has had a heat sensor burn out. Also the wash cycle would never advanced till our repairman (not a Frigidaire repairman) told us about a design flaw. You cant use the Hot Wash Cycle ever because it will never heat the water enough to advance out of the wash cycle. The oven door has slots so if you accidentally spill you have to take the entire door apart to clean. Will never buy this product again.

We purchased Frigidaire Professional appliances just over 2 years ago - double oven, microwave/hood fan and warming drawer. My issues with the oven were recorded here some months ago. Eventually, after a lot of wrangling and dishonesty on the part of Sears, Sears was forced by me into a buyback and replacement. This last week, we found that the microwave had ceased to heat. So now, in order to preserve the product coordination of our kitchen, Im now forced to purchase a new unit. The failed one states on the label that it was only produced in December 2009. It was installed by me in May 2010 and has been used only to thaw out bread and for heating frozen peas and suchlike, never for cooking as such. I would estimate its use at no more that 15 minutes or so per week.So this time, Im paying for a 4-year extended warranty and will take great delight in calling Sears out at the first hint of any trouble with it. Frigidaires Professional range of appliances are complete and utter junk, inherently unreliable and not fit for their intended purposes. The reliability of them is appalling beyond belief. My advice to anyone and everyone: Dont buy anything with a Frigidaire label on it, youll regret it if you do.

I had recently purchased a stove, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Have had problems with all of them. Stove - just before Christmas stove cracked out. Called Spencers home and appliances. They fixed it. Microwave started sparking. Spencers fixed it. Dishwasher - 2 days after install control panel went out. Spencers came out and fixed it. Dryer hinge wont stay closed. Spencers came out and fixed it. ALL FRIGIDAIRE products!!!!! Now here is the sad part. Dishwasher control panel went out again just about 12 months after it was replaced. WOW!! DRYER door broke again. Im starting to see a pattern!!! Ive had to have this stuff fixed. Called customer service. This was a joke. Finally I was baked into a corner where I had to buy their warranty. 250 dollars but didnt go into effect until a month out. Then they put the warranty on the wrong appliances but they didnt care. Then they didnt bother telling me they were going to fix it without me purchasing the warranty. So at the end of the road I got no help from Elizabeth their supervisor. This company plays the odds of who will actually keep coming after them. Dont buy their products. I own a construction company. I am hiring 25 people to stand out in front of a lot of their stores with sign in protest. I will go buy new products.. Yes this will all cost me a lot of money but its going to cost them more. What this company is doing is not right or ethical They will hide behind their warranties to get over on people instead of doing the right thing. Next is BBB.

4 new Frigidaire professional appliances. Year 2 replaced stoves control panel (over $300) and ice maker in fridge needed repair. Year 3 ice maker repair again, year 4 dishwasher leaking and had to replace. Fridge ice maker and water dispenser repair. Year 7 stove started to smoke (when back was removed the wire assembly for bake was melted into the control panel) so had to replace. So that leaves only 1 appliance (microwave) that remains. Frigidaire customer service has no comment other than to provide you with a contact for repair. Will never buy any frigidaire product again.

The handles on my oven and dishwasher have rotted and the alleged stainless is peeling off the handles. I called customer service they were rude and said it never happened to anyone before, that is a lie because I have read several stories in reviews stating the same complaint. I would upload pictures if I was able too. They do not stand by their product and said it was cosmetic they would give me a discount on the new handle replacements. These appliances are only 5 years old and I complained 3 years ago. It annoys me still this is happening.I will never buy another product from them again it is a shame...

I would like to know how to pursue a complaint. The $625 Frigidaire dishwasher requires a new control/console which with labor is about half what I paid for the thing. The door handle is looser on the microwave every day I notice and soon will fall into the door according to other review. Had to replace motherboard in range while still under warranty. So how can we make their rip off cost them some money for a change?

I purchased a gas Frigidaire oven from Lowes and the electrical panel stopped working after 13 months. Frigidaire gave us a replacement panel but we had to pay $200 for the labor. Prior to the problems with my Frigidaire stove, I also purchased a Frigidaire dishwasher and refrigerator from Lowes internet site. It took one month for delivery of the dishwasher and three months for the delivery of the refrigerator! After 13 months, the electrical panel stopped working on my dishwasher too! Frigidaire supplied another panel but, of course, I had to pay the labor charges of $200 to have it replaced. The stove and dishwasher both have the Frigidaire icon in cursive. Needless to say, one month after the panel was replaced on my dishwasher, it is out again. So I am out the cost of the dishwasher and the repair. I spoke with Lowes customer service department and was told that according to their company policy, I will not get any further assistance from Lowes despite the acknowledgement that Lowes sold me two products that seem to have bad electrical boards. I do not use the self-clean option for my Frigidaire stove in fear that it too will fail again.

We purchased our Frigidaire glass-top stove in July of 2011 (Model #LGEF3045KFE). Within six months, it started showing symptoms. Whenever we used two burners and the oven at the same time, the entire unit would shut down. After cooling down (and flipping the breaker switches for the stove circuit), the stove would reset and wed be able to use it again (as long as we only used one burner and the oven). This happened a few times the first year; it happened a few more times the second year. I kept thinking I didnt have a large enough circuit breaker for the stove, until it happened again for the last time. The stove would not reset. NONE of the burners, nor the oven, worked. Thats when I went online and found out that there were a lot of people complaining about the same problem. When I contacted Frigidaire, they said it was MY problem since the one-year warranty period had expired, even though my stove had started showing problems DURING the warranty period.Frigidaire has refused to stand by its product (which is TERRIBLE, by the way). As a result, I will NEVER buy anything made by Frigidaire ever again. I am telling all of my friends to stay away from their products because of their shoddy workmanship, lousy customer service, and useless warranty. Appliances should last for 10-20 years before breaking down. Ive been a homeowner for 30 years. I have NEVER had to fix ANY of my appliances - until I bought a Frigidaire. Never again.

There is nothing wrong with Frigidaire products. They make them to last. It is the consumers responsibility to take care of the product. I have all Frigidaire appliances and I havent had any issues. You have to change the water filter out in those fridges every 6 months. I have purchased extended warranties on all of my appliances just in case. These products are machine and man made. Nothing is guaranteed. When you purchase appliances we take risk. So instead of not buying the warranty, go ahead and purchase the warranty. It is only a couple of hundred dollars more and it will protect it. You wouldnt drive a car without insurance.

We purchased a new electric double wall oven on 6/10/14. The oven takes up to 1/2 hour to reach the desired temperature. The temperature must be set 25 degrees higher than what is chosen. When using both racks in the same oven temperature drops 50 degrees. A fan blows hot air into the room to cool down the controls, well after the unit is turned off. Not bad for $1500.00.

They made them cheap, sell them for thousands and rip off the consumer. Nothing like big business!!

So, when my old fridge died, I went to Lowes and found my Frigidaire side by side. I love it! The adjustable shelves in the freezer really help with odd sized objects. The basket in the freezer is great for all my frozen veggies too! And did you know that two of the shelves in the fridge side pull out so you can reach the items in the back more easily. The glass shelves always look so nice and clean and the inset shelves in both doors can be moved too! The built in water and ice maker is a lifesaver when you need a drink! Crushed ice from the dispenser makes a soda the perfect temperature. The Frigidaire Gallery is a really great bargain at only $1100. This should be your next Fridge!

I’m posting my review to warn others. Frigidaire refused to post my review bc it may steer customers “away”. Ridiculous. My husband and I saved up for 10 years to do our kitchen remodel. We used the Frigidaire Pro Line for all of our appliances. I have never been more disappointed with a refrigerator. I chose this model because of the smudge proof finish. This is biggest mistake we made for our entire renovation! This fridge accepts magnets and so naturally we excitedly hung up our children’s artwork. In less than two weeks (after removing the artwork to dust the fridge face) I discovered that the ENTIRE front of it was scratched with fine scratches from the magnets. I am just sick over this! Nowhere in the manual does it say NOT to use magnets on the surface. Since it accepted magnets in the first place, we assumed that was considered normal and acceptable use of the fridge. The magnets I used were brand new and not rough! The surface of this unit is ridiculously easy to scratch! Had I have known this fact, I would have NEVER chosen this fridge. It was a giant purchase for us and now I have to live with it ugly and ruined. Also, I’m now embarrassed to show people my new kitchen because of it. My kitchen looks like “new kitchen, but old fridge”. The worst part for me is I didn’t even get to enjoy having what I thought would be the refrigerator of my dreams. It was ruined before I even got a chance to enjoy it. And now I can’t even enjoy my kitchen remodel that we waited years for, YEARS!Please do not waste your money like we did. Buy a regular stainless steel refrigerator instead and just get used to wiping off fingerprints, because at least they come off! My previous regular stainless steel fridge was over 10 years old and barely had a scratch on it. In comparison this expensive “pro” fridge can’t even operate in the simplest of function, to hold up a calendar and children’s artwork on the front of it, without becoming damaged.

The Frigidaire FFGC3626SS 5 pilot gas range is very pretty and I like everything about it - EXCEPT - The knobs started breaking within a month of installation and all 5 knobs broke 3X within the first year. I was given two free sets, but now, since it is a few weeks past 1yr from purchase (but within 1 year of actual installation & use). I am being offered new knobs at $17.00 each (the full price is $75.00 each for PLASTIC knobs). There is no warranty on the new knobs. The Frigidaire website is FULL of 1 star reviews due to these knobs breaking. Apparently, the heat from the range makes the stems on the knobs brittle & the stems snap & making the knobs completely useless. I did not buy the extended warranty - One reviewer stated that the knobs are not covered by it anyway, but I havent confirmed that. I am down to 1 working knob on a 14 month old gas range. BTW, the size is unique & hard to fit with universal knobs from other makers. Run Away from Frigidaire Range Tops!!!

We purchased our stove on 7/29/21 and it was delivered and installed by 8/12/21. Used twice and the control panel shut off when I was using the air fryer! So far two service calls have been made and the stove is still not fixed. First service call was on 9/13. Technician didnt have parts and they needed to be ordered. Second time he came on 10/4, replaced the parts and it still didnt work. He suggested we talk to the electrician that did the wiring. Our electrician came out today and everything was good with the electric to the stove. SOOOO, I had to call Frigidaire again to schedule another service call. Its absolutely impossible to get through to customer service and when I did, I asked to speak with a manager and she hung up on me! So I called back and waited on hold again only to be told that the stove will not be replaced until deemed unrepairable! Again, I asked to speak with management and told, I would get a call back in 1-2 days. My next appointment to have the technician come to the house is 10/14!!! Its 10/5/21 and I still have no resolution for my $1800 oven! We basically got a lemon and Frigidaire isnt willing to step up and honor their commitment to good service.

Had a home built and the builder provided the kitchen appliances without any extended warranties. Neither the builder nor Frigidaire will do anything about it as they are over a year old. The handle of the over-the-stove microwave broke first. Next was the ice maker in the side-by-side refrigerator. That was then followed by the cooling unit breaking (resulting in a large loss of food). Most recently, the heating element within the dishwasher actually melted a hole through the bottom of the dishwasher. When Frigidaire was called about each one of these things the answer was the same: There is nothing we can do. I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator on 5/31/14 (approximately 6 months ago) from Lowes. The refrigerator portion stopped cooling. I contacted the 1-800 number and I was instructed by recording to enter my zip code. I entered my zip code and was told by the same recording that they had no service providers in my area and I would have to call a 706 area code number. I dont live in the boonies. I live in Scottsdale, which is a suburb of Phoenix, AZ. I called the 706 number and had to wait on hold for 30 minutes before the call was answered. I was told that they dont have any service providers where I live (once again not in the boonies, right next to Phoenix). They would have someone call my by Monday (I called them on Wednesday) and would schedule a service call then. Who knows how long from Monday it will take them to come out. When I explained that time was of the essence due to the fact that I store insulin in my refrigerator, it was suggested that I purchase a industrial refrigerator. I suggested that Frigidaire manufacture a refrigerator that last longer than 6 months. I was then asked to take a survey. REALLY????

I bought a home with all Frigidaire appliances in it, the first month after moving into this only 1 year old home, the oven needs a new element. Ok so that was $350 thinking this was a fluke and bad luck. The ice maker is crap not only does it not make enough for a family but it always has random styrofoam balls among the ice cubes that you cant see until they float to the top in your drink. Ok so that was minor but then the lights all go off inside the fridge and freezer. We call to let them bill us for a $46 light they say maybe the issue since they work like LED Christmas lights (when one goes off they all go off). We replace one at a time thinking it would light up but nope the whole fridge starts to die. Not keeping temp. My Frigidaire Professional series dishwasher model PLD4375RFC0 started flashing the ER error code this month, exactly 4 years after it was installed new in 2007. It is now unusable and I have to leave the door open slightly because if it is closed, it will turn itself on at random. I have searched the internet and seen others with the same model have the same problem. I researched the parts affected and along with labor, it will be about half the cost of the dishwasher when it was new. I have a Frigidaire microwave, stove, and fridge also and now I am waiting for those to start failing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANYS BRANDS! I have a Frigidaire french door refrigerator that I bought new four years ago. I did not purchase the extended warranty and during the first year, I had at least two service calls for the unit not cooling. After the warranty period, the freezer would frost over and actually had ice build up inside the drawer that required I do a manual defrost.I came home from a trip and the temp in the refrigerator was at 67 degrees but the freezer was still working. The appliance repair tech that came to evaluate the unit said that both computers on the unit were not functioning and the repair was going to be ~ $500. He ordered the computers and when he came back, he pulled out the unit to check the freon and the back of the refrigerator was rusted. Its a known issue with Frigidaire and he called them to explain the issue so I filed a ticket to see what they would do for me. The options were that they would possibly replace it or pay a reasonable amount to me based on depreciation. I was told by the rep at the call center that the refrigerator was under a do not repair order so it should be repaired. After 10 days of waiting for the company to evaluate the unit, their final offer was a 25% rebate on another model. Ive been out several hundred dollars and am going to be out another $500 for computers on a unit that they know is defective or $1300 to replace the refrigerator. Im just going to bite the bullet and repair the thing vs. buying another piece of crap Frigidaire and be out approximately $1300 with the rebate that they offered. Really not good customer service that you admit the unit is defective and issue a do not repair order but dont back up your appliances. The builder put Frigidaire in my home, Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher but I guarantee you that as they fail, it wont be Frigidaire or any GE brand that will replace them. SHAME on YOU.

I have had two major repairs done by the store that sold this poorly designed washer to me in the first year, to no avail. When I contacted Frigidaire before the warranty expired (7 times) they finally told me they would not honor the warranty because I handwrote information of the receipt. They requested I handwrite this information of the receipt before sending it to them! This product is terrible - avoid it and Frigidaire like the Plague.

Bought this in July 2017. Tho is is the style that has the freezer in the bottom. The first thing that broke was the visual temp lights. They just quit working one day. Next, the freezer handle is falling off. Next, it states the water filter last so many gallons or replace every 6 months. We are retired, no children, no one but us two. We must spend $72.00 every 4 months. This is pure junk. I wish I had my old Kitchen Aide back.

We purchased a new home in 2008 and had new Frigidaire appliances as part of that purchase (dishwasher, stove/range, and microwave). About 2-3 months ago, we began to smell an electrical or plastic burning smell every so often but couldnt place the smell after going around the house. Last weekend I noticed a puddle of water on the floor and after some investigation found that our dishwasher was leaking. Originally I just thought it was from a leaking hose or something. Upon further investigation, we found the heating element burned through the bottom of the plastic tub of the dishwasher (we also discovered our floor and cabinets near the dishwasher are damaged as well and need to be replaced).I checked for recall information and did not find it. I contacted one phone number and touched base with the local Frigidaire repair company. They said Frigidaire would definitely want to know. So, I contacted Frigidaire to let them know of the problem and report it. I wanted to be sure they had all the information about what happened to us to be sure it wouldnt happen to someone else. When I called them, they asked for the model and serial number, and asked if I had an extended warranty, in which I didnt. I told the representative that I wanted to report the heating element burning through the bottom of my dishwasher plastic tub and that it didnt seem like a normal wear and tear kind of issue. And I said that I thought they would want to know the details about it to make sure it didnt happen somewhere out, or potentially help me with my situation. I was put on hold for them to talk to a supervisor. I was told that they made a note of my issue (literally no details given yet). And since I was outside of the 12 month warranty, there was nothing they could do to help me.I told her again I thought they should know about it and the details of what happened. She said her supervisor said that it usually happens when something heavy is resting on the heating element. I was a little taken aback that the initial was that basically we were resting something heavy on the element to cause it to happen. I said, So your reasoning is only that I put something too heavy in the dishwasher. She told me she wasnt accusing me of that. I asked her what else it could be. I said that I wasnt trying too difficult, but I had hoped Frigidaire as a company would be interested in knowing what happened with their product to potentially protect other consumers from the situation I was in. The response was “Is there anything else I can do for you?” I was surprised and expressed to her that I was thoroughly disappointed in Frigidaire. Their lack of interest in knowing the details of what happened to me and making accusations showed they had no genuine concern for me as a consumer or other consumers who may be facing the same things. She again said she wasnt accusing me of anything, but I asked her to explain what else it could be. She only said that heating elements burning through the tub are caused by heavy items resting on the element.I believe there is a design flaw with this unit (model # FDB1050REC2) and that the heating element should be better supported in the tub. This dishwasher is only 3 years old. The situation is not from wear and tear of other items or breaking of something. It is a flaw that unfortunately Frigidaire is not interested in investigating or even acknowledging as a potential issue.

Purchased a brand new fridge 5 months ago. Unit stop keeping the fridge cool. Called in for a repair which did take some time to get through their stupid automated system and finally got a human to talk to. They scheduled the appt with a local repairman who came out days later... YUP it’s not bad enough you lose all your food. You have to live without a fridge for additional days. Repairman did whatever to the fridge and left. Now its 10 days later and the same issue happened. Throwing all the food out AGAIN. HUNDREDS of dollars in food spoilage for yet another repair. Had to call in again and put up with the stupid automated machine to get a human. Scheduled yet another repair and had to wait for days to arrive...but wait, the repair guy calls and says he can’t get out there and it will be additional days before he can repair the fridge. Called Frigidaire yet again and of course put up with the stupid automated system to get a human on the phone. Now scheduling another appt with another repairman for today (4 days later) waited, waited waited...8-12 goes by and nobody. I called to find out what’s what and believe it or not... the order never got placed with the repairman. On the phone for 1 hour and 15 minutes fighting with reps and managers of Frigidaire to get the fridge fixed to only get I’m sorry for the inconvenience. Got so pissed off I called the repairman who fixed it originally and is coming out tomorrow. BUYER BEWARE! A $500.00 fridge has cost me a ton of aggravation, lost a day off of work, my tenants lost 2 full fridges of food and a half day off of work and had to live out of coolers off and on for 2 weeks. FIND A BETTER PRODUCT - Frigidaire shame on you for treating your customers like this. I will never buy another product from you!

I purchased this microwave to match the Gallery range that I purchased while remodeling my kitchen. Big mistake. Within a few weeks of installation, we noticed that the preset cooking options were not properly calibrated - popcorn didnt pop, oatmeal didnt completely cook, meat wouldnt defrost properly based on the presets. It seemed like the unit was running at about 60-70% of the efficiency it should have. I called Frigidaire numerous times and they said that this is normal, try a different container to cook in, etc. Eventually, I was able to get someone that supposedly was in customer service that dealt with the engineering end of things. They said that a little variation in efficiency is not a big deal. I asked if their acceptable range would allow a microwave to perform at 60-70% of designed efficiency. There was a long pause and a lot of excuse making. They ultimately said that what I was experiencing was within the acceptable range of performance and they said that they would not send out a tech to evaluate the microwave. I called the local rep company and they said that a service call was going to be as much as $125 to troubleshoot the microwave. I called Frigidaire back a few weeks later and the same story. I called Lowes and they refused to help saying it is something that falls on the manufacturer and they refused to make a phone call on my behalf but offered the Frigidaire customer service number. Yesterday - 16 months after installation - 4 months after the warranty expired, it no longer heats anything up.

Easy to use and use very minimal amount of water and electricity. Don't like paying a lot of money to purchase a product when there are less expensive models with the same features. I purchased the Frigidaire stand up freezer/fridge combo when I built my house. The matching set cost me $5,000 for it. Within the first year of purchase the fridge went out and Frigidaire sent out a technician to repair. Unit should have been replaced while under warranty but they did not want to hear it. Skip forward to some time later, I paid for the extended warranty for the fridge and the icebox but was refunded my money just on the fridge because it was broken under warranty and they would not cover up as I was told but unfortunately for me the rep in customer service didnt seem to put that in the computer and only put refunded due to being broken when it wasnt. Now my unit is out and I questioned them about it. They send me with the runaround. All my appliances in my home are Frigidaire. I will be replacing everything in my house to get the name Frigidaire out of it. I am out now $500 dollars as I paid for a repair service to come look at it and replace items that were replaced before because they broke the first time and Frigidaire doesnt seem to care. Well they will care. I can promise this!!! Sincerely, a pissed off customer.

We purchased a complete suite of Gallery kitchen appliances approximately 2 years ago. Some observations: they look nice but the dishwasher leaked and damaged the kitchen floor. Negotiating repairs was a hassle. Since repaired, no new problem(s). Does a reasonable job but Bosch washers are clearly superior. PS: I ate the floor damage repairs rather than do the dance with Frigidaire. They are not easy to work with. The refrigerator froze items in the bins. There was a part missing (possibly an upgrade that was not with the unit) that diverted frozen/refrigerated air into the bin area. I installed it - it is better now. The unit moans, groans, squeaks, sighs, moans as though its possessed. We were told its normal. Normal? Maybe. Annoying for sure. The ice dispenser shoots ice all over the place. The exterior stainless surfaces are thin. They are generally non-smudge but the door handles are not. The range (glass top) controls suck. The porcelain finish chips very easily. The oven is fine, the convection feature is very nice. The microwave oven is OK. The controls and timer - reminder beeps are annoying. Would I buy them again? No. Id happily pay more for a superior product.

I purchased the gas range 2 years ago. Within a month something had dripped down on the glass of the door and when I attempted to clean it, realized I was unable to because it was between the two layers of glass! Most ridiculous design. Id noticed that the back panel gets very hot when the oven or broiler is used. Tonight Im unable to turn off the broiler. Ive just been reading some of the other comments made by customers and realize it will almost be cheaper at this point to buy a new stove by another brand than to buy another piece of garbage like this item has turned out to be. The knob design is ridiculous as well. Leaky and different than any stove Ive had in the past. Think Im turning it off and its not off but LOW. Item looks good but shoddy made.Refrigerator is the same. This item looks good but dents so easily because the metal is so flimsy. My shelves are made of plastic and glass and the plastic has become brittle with the cold and many are developing cracks. I would sadly NEVER, EVER recommend this brand to a friend again. Im very disappointed and my family has always been a Frigidaire supporter.

Ended up calling out an electrician to fix the problem and paid him $90 so we could eat. Thank heavens we did not wait. Our next problem was last night we went to bed and awoke to have our refrigerator door open and our food defrosting. Proceeded to call the warranty center and got really no satisfaction. It had an energy saving device which helped reduce my summer electric bills. It was easy to operate. The air conditioner produced cold air efficiently for over 20 years. It was very quiet. There was little vibration. The operation of the unit had energy efficiency. In 20 years I only had two service calls to have it repaired and one was simply a freon leak. It was a room air conditioner that fit into the wall. It fit securely and did not detract from the room decor. It came in decorator colors that were neutral so that it blended well with my living room decor. It was very non intrusive. This air conditioner operated efficiently for over 20 years. After I sold the house the new owners were still using it in the humid New England summers. Two service calls in all that time speaks volumes for its reliability.

2 years ago I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator and paid 850.00. I understood it was inexpensive but it was a small apartment sized refrigerator and had no bells, no whistles and so one would assume that the price was right for what you were getting, WRONG. This fridge may as well be a polished **. Just 1 month out of warranty the control board failed, so the freezer and the fridge compartments were warm and the control board just flashed. I paid to replace the control board with a new OEM from the manufacturer board, and this part cost me 200.00 But now just yesterday 7 months later the control board stopped working again and did exactly what the original one did. We are 5 days to Christmas and me without and once again without our Frigidaire fridge. 1,050.00 invested now in a small fridge and its just a stainless steel polish on a **.

18 months ago we purchased a Kenmore Laundry center, model 970L97422F0, that was made Frigidaire. The washer DOES NOT fill with enough water to do the cleaning. More often than not there are dry spots. We had the repairman out twice and his only solution for the problem was to add a pail of water before starting the machine, so to trick it to think that the weight was more. Also it is the nosiest washer we have ever owned!! It sounds like a cement mixer when it is running. Phone calls to Sears and Frigidaire go unanswered. Do not buy Frigidaire washing machine! I bought one just 6 months ago. I have had the repairman out here last month. Now, this month, he needs to come again! I cant return it to Lowe’s because they dont take exchanges, returns, or refund on major appliances! So I think I will also never buy another major appliance from Lowe’s and definitely not another Frigidaire product of any kind. The shocks went immediately! Now, once again, they need replacing! Sadly, I didnt get the extended warranty. I figured my last washer lasted 12 years and I never had a warranty on any of my other appliances, so I didnt need one this time. That was a big mistake because, unfortunately, Frigidaire doesnt stand well behind their appliances, and they dont stay working for long either! The customer service number that Lowe’s gives needs help too. They cant get scheduling correct, and their computers are down a lot. So, they say it needs to break 3 times on the same item to maybe get a replacement? For real? It is only 6 months old and I am on the second problem! Shame on Frigidaire and Lowe’s! Guess we better start shopping Home Depot. No more Lowe’s either!

Do not buy Frigidaire - Period. Warranty support is rigid and un-workable. My $250 de-humidifier failed after seven months, with a bad circuit board (top). To replace the unit, Frigidaire wanted me to drive out of town to a small country location to exchange the defective unit for a replacement. Frigidaire did not provide any assistance beyond that. Note: I live in a 250,000 city/county (Greenville).I repeatedly called to complain regarding the insanity and they finally gave me a special 2nd choice. I could send a certified letter (folks, this costs money, right? How is that warranty support?) with their informational requirements to Charlotte, NC. They expressed no concern regarding how to dispose of a portable unit with refrigerant (not environmentally friendly) but left it with me. I quit using profanity about two years back but this issue brings me close to NOT.Please get this - I did everything - even offered to give a credit card for a purchase/return transaction. 90% of vendors allow transactions like this. Nope - not Frigidaire. In my opinion, they just hate their customers with a happy smile. Youll hear repeatedly... our policy ad nauseam. So, readers... today, I certify that I will no longer buy anything Frigidaire, period. Will not, will not, will not. Frigidaire appliances are the worst. We bought the Frigidaire Gallery series, all four major appliances - brand new from Appliance Factory Outlet. I will NEVER buy Frigidaire again and will not buy from Appliance Factor Outlet again. We paid extra to get the gallery series so fingerprints are less noticeable and apparently the extra money is only for that feature because the appliances have been nothing but trouble. Within 2 years we have had 7 repair calls on our refrigerator (ice machine not working, ice machine freezing/seizing up, doors not sealing, under drawer freezer ice build up, etc. etc. etc.). One time the complete cooling system went out and we had to throw out a bunch of food, of which they do not care about. Thank goodness we had the extended 10 year warranty or else we probably would have spent enough money to buy another refrigerator on service calls. Appliance Factory Outlet was less than helpful. They clearly had the attitude that its not their problem. They want the sale without any customer service. The warranty people (Brand Source) are irritated every time I have to place another repair call. I actually had Brand Source correct me after I said you guys have been out to my house a million times and she sarcastically said they told me that I have had only 7 repair calls. Unbelievable. Now we are 3 years into our new appliances and the dishwasher has broke 2 times. Unfortunately, we do not have the extended warranty on that. The oven also has had issues but suffice it to say - never buy Frigidaire appliances. I called the corporate office and they said you have to have 4 occurrences OF THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM before they will consider a replacement. I guess 7 or 8 calls on a brand new fridge isnt troublesome to them.

My husband and I purchased new Frigidaire appliances for our daughter a few years ago. She went to Lowes and chose the Frigidaire refrigerator, dishwasher and electric range with the finish that looks like stainless steel. The electric range stopped working as soon as the one year warranty expired. My daughter called a licensed repairman who came back three times, replacing the heating element and some type of circuit board. Within a few weeks, the oven stopped working again. Every now and then it would suddenly start working again, but eventually catch on fire. My daughters husband has installed new heating elements twice, (they couldnt afford to keep calling a repairman) but the oven and stovetop worked for a while, go out, work again and then the element catches on fire. Both my daughter and I have contacted Frigidaire (Electrolux) customer service and have gotten a complete runaround. Their position is that unless there is an official recall they will do nothing. A week ago the oven caught fire again and I told my daughter not to waste any more money to have it repaired. My husband and I are going to buy her a new range, but I can promise you it will not be a Frigidaire product and I want to warn other people to avoid them as well.

The female customer service rep asked me if I would like to purchase an extended warranty for $500.After several back and forth calls to customer service about the situation I ended up paying $300 for a five-year extended warranty. The repair company came out, said he needed to order the part, and weeks later came out to repair the ice maker which is now doing the same thing again. The repairman said he would probably see me every year because it is a problem with these models having the ice maker in the refrigerator door instead of the freezer door. When I called Frigidaire this morning, the customer no service person was very rude and would not even allow me to speak. She kept talking over me, giving me the same repair company in my area and a warranty number for the service. When I asked her if there was any possible option to replace the refrigerator with another model, she said, No. I responded with, So, am I stuck with this high-end expensive but faulty design until I purchase another brand? She said, Yes, thats it! I do not recommend anyone to purchase any Frigidaire products. They have a serious customer service and customer relations issue, and they do not back their products. I am now still waiting for the Frigidaire authorized warranty repair service to call me back from over two hours ago. Last time I had to take off two days work for this repair. Not acceptable product.

I purchased a 24 Frigidaire wall oven with broiler (model number fgb24t3ec) in in March of 2009. The hinge has dislodged from oven 5 times. Also, when the oven is hot, the door gets stuck, and wont open. Frigidaire states no recall on this product, and no complaints similar to mine.

In October 2010, I purchased several Frigidaire Kitchen Appliances. The refrigerator makes a noise from time to time like a popping sound and the ice maker stop working months ago. The Electric Coil Top Range has one front burner that gets so hot. I have to change the drip pans every few weeks as they turn purple, gold and brown. Now there is a 2 inch burn mark under the drip pan and a pile of soot was found from the burner burning too hot. I am afraid a fire will start soon and I try to use the other burners. I wont be buying Frigidaire products in the future.

I am very upset that I did not do my homework before I purchased my new kitchen. In 2007, we had a fire in our home and had to have all of our appliances replaced. I did not have a lot of time to do online research because we were busy working at our home trying to get moved back in, so now I am paying the price. The range keeps blowing the electronic board and thermosensor from overheating (which wouldnt you expect a range top to get hot), even though I had the recall done, which was supposed to correct the issue. I am very upset about Frigidaire not recalling their faulty products, as I am sure they know that they have a design issue in these ranges.I just hope that consumers research complaints about Frigidaire because they will see how poorly made their appliances are. As everyone else has said, SHAME ON YOU FRIGIDAIRE. It is sad to see expensive appliance products made in the USA that are of such low quality that you have to replace them in just a few years. Consumers be wary of anything that Frigidaire makes.

When we bought our home back in March 2016, we replaced the kitchen appliances with smudge resistant stainless steel Frigidaire ones. We quickly realized that THE HANDLES are not smudge resistant. Annoying. We also noticed that the drawers were so tight and stiff we could barely open and shut them. The company sent us a food grade silicone spray to treat the rails. THEN, 2 months after we got the appliances the motherboard on our dishwasher crapped out. We had to wait 2 weeks for the part to come in. Shortly after, the motor in the ice maker went.Again, replacement needed. Recently, it started being fussy again, requiring the ice to constantly need to be cleared from the blade in the front or it hangs up and won’t spin. And now, AGAIN, the motherboard went on our dishwasher. And we are expecting family from out of town in a week for our daughter’s wedding. At first, Frigidaire offered to pay for the part, but wanted us to pay for the labor, because it was out of warranty, and we didn’t purchase an extended one.So I asked them, How is it, that we spend $580 on a new dishwasher, and we are told we need to spend an extra $100 to $200 in order for the company to stand by their product? I told the Frigidaire representative that I felt like the extended warranty was extortion. I asked her how she would feel, if she spent that kind of money on an appliance and it lasted less than two years? I said that our last home had a cheap KitchenAid builder’s grade dishwasher, and we never had an issue with it in 10 years. She checked with the manager, and then she told me that they would do the repair for free as a one time courtesy. But that I should purchase the extended warranty??? I said no, because if it needs repairs again, I’m getting rid of it.

Purchased in 2011 all Professional Series Appliances from Frigidaire in my new home: Refrigerator Model FPHB2099LF5 Ice Maker failed under extended services warranty and was replaced. Ice Maker replacement never really performed well and I had quality issues with its performance. The ice maker ultimately destroyed my refrigerator as it froze, caused leaking in the bottom of my freezer and literally iced through the REAR of the refrigerator causing it to Rust, build up ICE and leak, it cause water damage to my subfloor and my tile kitchen floor was destroyed. I got ZERO response from Frigidaire Product Managers on File ** after requesting something in writing on what caused this problem. The refrigerator literally ICE through the REAR and had a giant rust spot. Customer Service basically said product managers would not respond and put it back on the service technician who said theres no remediation. Its a defective product and poorly engineered in my opinion. All you get is its out of Warranty!3 days earlier I tossed the Professional Series Dishwasher because it failed to start, some keypad buttons wouldnt work, the interior racks had all rusted through the coatings. The silverware holder had holes all over it. Ive Serviced my professional Series Microwave as its failed. Its working well now. My Professional Series double wall oven doesnt cook evenly when both oven are running. The bottom always takes longer to cook at the same temperature. I have problems with the racks falling in both ovens when putting 15-25 lb turkey or higher weight items on them. The top oven bottom looks like its buckling. The issue with the racks could be related if we did a self clean with the racks still in it. I cant see how a self clean would cause that much of an issue with the size shelves.

I cannot believe this company. We bought all Frigidaire appliances for our new home. After 4 weeks our refrigerator needed to be fixed. Now one month after our warranty ran out the motor in our dishwasher burnt out and set a fire inside it. We contacted Frigidaire about this and were told that they would cover the parts, which is the entire machine, but will not cover a new machine (which we were happy with at first) until we were informed by 2 separate repair companies that it is impossible to fix. We again contacted the company and were basically told better luck next time. Shame on this companys customer service.

We purchased a new double oven in fall of 2010. Within the first 6 months we noticed that the upper oven starting burning everything - even after just a few minutes. We called for service and it was found that the upper oven had warped and as a result, the entire stove was replaced as no expense to us. In September of 2013 we noticed that the racks in the lower oven were not longer safe. They had to be balanced and fell if any weight was put on them. I called for service and the tech came out to tell us that the lower oven cavity would have to be replaced. This is less than a 2 year old stove - and my 2nd problem with the ovens expanding. I contacted Fridgidaires customer service who at first were not helpful at all because it was beyond the 1 year warranty. I tried to express my concern about the safety and asked about liability if the rack fell and someone was burned...they then indicated that the oven could be repaired but it was very labor intense and as a gesture, they would pay for the parts if we paid for labor. Getting quotes of several hundreds of dollars, we decided to replace the stove with a different brand at our expense. I had contacted Fridgidaire to see if they would like the stove back to research how it can fail twice in less than 3 years but they told me to dispose of it. So after spending $1600 for a new Gallery series Double oven - I am left with trash at the curb after less than 2 years (on the replacement oven). I am disgusted and mad that Fridgidaire was so complacent about the failure of their product - not once but TWICE. And my reward was --- it is out of warranty. My prior stove was 12 years old and was never serviced and this piece of crap was serviced multiple times and replaced due to defects. And I am left with the bill... great company - avoid this company at all costs...It will leave you without nothing.

We purchased a matching set of Frigidaire Professional refrigerator, stove and dishwasher a few years ago. All are very noisy, but not consistently. This occurs on all 3 devices where it will simply start to make a humming or buzzing sound - sometimes soft and sometimes loud. At times almost a grinding sound. Granted some devices make sounds as part of the normal functioning, but this does not seem normal at all. I would never buy their products again.

Beware Frigidaire Gallery 22.6 Cu. Ft. French door counter-depth - I purchased this fridge on March 15, 2012. It took delivery a week or two later. It is a beautiful fridge, which does not leave fingerprints on the front except on the handles. The counter depth is nice. However, the fridge stopped cooling properly on September 5th, not quite to the 6 months’ mark. The thermostat and possibly the compressor both failed. Fortunately, still under warranty. Unfortunately, Frigidaire does not contract with the larger, easier to get appointments and faster repair companies. I live in a large metro area and had 4 choices. Two of which are several counties away from me. So now 12 days after the repairman was finally able to come to diagnose, they are waiting on parts and I am now 16 days into no fridge and taking my family out for all meals. First visit, they diagnosed the fan unit and the thermostat. It took 7 days to get parts. When they installed those, they found that the door sensor is faulty. Now waiting on more parts. I also bought the matching dishwasher, hopefully not the same issues. I would recommend you purchase an extended warranty, which I will, but through a third party sufficiently able to provide proper service in your area. Im most annoyed that my Kenmore/Whirlpool fridge that this replaced never once had an issue in the 11 years I used it. It was just no longer a good fit in the remodeled kitchen. My favorite part of this entire thing - On Frigidaires website, they allow you to rate their products and post them. They send you an email asking you to click a link to confirm your review, only the link doesnt work! Funny. I wonder if I rated it 5 stars if the link would magically work.

We purchased a home with Frigidaire Professional Series made by Electrolux.
We purchased a home with Frigidaire Professional Series made by Electrolux. I called Frigidaire to register my products, gave them all the model and serial numbers on a dishwasher, micro/oven, dishwasher, fridge and cooktop in the first day of taking possession. The microwave stopped working 3 weeks after taking possession. Called Frigidaire and was advised we had no warranty. This was a repeated request by me and was told the same thing, no warranty. In the meantime our dishwasher of 4 months leaked out onto the hardwood floor, causing damage. I again called Frigidaire and conveyed my observations on performance and poor quality... Stating the microwave hasnt worked since week 3 of taking possession. The oven spikes in heat or doesnt cook in the allowed time in other ovens and that the dishwasher only worked on one setting and leaked 4 months within use. It leaked on a Saturday and Frigidaire does not provide after hours service. On Feb. 2/2015 I called and asked them to reimburse us for the new dishwasher and the cost of repairing our floor. To which they said No. Finally we were asked for our purchase contact on our home and the receipt for the new dishwasher (we did not purchase their product). We were then asked to produce the purchase agreement, a copy of the service call for the dishwasher and the receipt for the newly purchased dishwasher. Customer service then back dated our warranty to April 11/14. They then, wanted the virtual information that was stuck on the dishwasher. Since we had no warranty as we had it recycled, never to be used for another to suffer damages as we did. Because we could not produce the sticker, we offered the warranty card with all the information and the user manual with the same on it. This was not acceptable to them. We forwarded the service report which clearly states the reasons that this serviceman could not and would not in good conscience repair it as it was poor quality could not guarantee it would not leak again. He told us it would cost us more to try to repair it than it actually cost and we should get a new one. We have not been reimbursed the cost of every appliance, which is all of the Frigidaire Professional Series. When I say all, I mean everything in our kitchen has broken down. Since our dealings with this company and their poor quality products, we have been forced to replace it all. Customer service agents are not diligent in executing customer expectations, nor do they respect you enough to make notations such, as your name and address and simple tasks like registrations. The service company they have hired to do the repair to the micro/oven ordered the wrong part and it has now been almost 3 months and we are still waiting. Have any of you ever figured out how much you pay for your appliances when it gets lumped in with your mortgage? I would never recommend this companies products, nor will I buy them and should I purchase another home, Frigidaire/Electrolux are a deal breaker!

I bought the Professional line of Frigidaire products in February 2012. They are poorly constructed. The seal around the door shredded apart; it had to be replaced. When you push the ice button, the ice doesnt stop coming out when you take the cup away, and the ice ends up on the floor. The ice maker is very loud. When you pull out the vegetable bin on the bottom, it hits the door. The cooktop is made with poor quality stainless steel and scratches easily. I use a soft sponge or paper towel and it scratches. The center high boil burner shuts down when you try to lower the flame. The dishwasher doesnt work too well either. The dishes are always wet and sometimes not clean. The door is very flimsy. The wall oven is terrible. When the heat is at 400 degrees, smoke comes out of it. I hope it doesnt cause a fire. What I didnt know when I bought the products is that they subcontract repairs to an appliance repair place. They do not have their own servicemen. Consequences are that I am stuck with these awful products. This is garbage and shame on Frigidaire for selling this product. Dont buy it.

I purchased a new double wall oven in Oct. 2012, and was generally happy with it. The first time we tried to use the self-cleaning feature, after several months, after a while running the self clean, the oven showed an error code and then shut down. It worked fine otherwise, but we have not been able to self clean. In the past month, we have started getting the same error code (F43) when using the oven for regular cooking as well. Although we could tolerate the lack of cleaning, we are now trying to fix. Frigidaire initially would not help, as we are out of the 1-year warranty period. Then they offered to pay for parts, provided we use an authorized service technician. They sent me the 3 service technicians in my area, and 2/3 did not return my phone call. The third came out and reported that the labor alone to fix the oven would be over $400, requiring replacing of a fan and a sensor. I contacted Frigidaire again, expressing my dissatisfaction with the oven, and telling them I didnt see a reason that a new oven should require these new parts, as well as being unhappy with being forced to use a particular service company, who seemed to be charging a very large amount. Completely unhappy experience, and I will not be buying a Frigidaire again.

As with another review, I also tried not to give any stars but was unable to. I purchased both a Frigidaire fridge and dishwasher in May 2011. I hadnt even had the fridge 3 months before experiencing problems. The food in the bottom tray of the fridge kept freezing and the ice dispenser would not dispense ice. I was provided with three services companies which I could contact according to Frigidaire since the product was under warranty. I scheduled my first appointment, just to have the service man inform me that Frigidaire has been having many issues with this fridge and he didnt have the part that was needed and would need to come back. He came back and installed the correct part, so the fridge would dispense ice but yet the food in the bottom tray was still freezing. A few months later the fridge stopped dispensing ice again.I called and made another appointment, just to have the service man come out and say I see what its doing and when I run all the tests it is passing, but I need to call the manufacturer and they are closed. Having to schedule another appointment which I did, just to have the same thing happen again!! This has been an ongoing issue for about 5-6 months now. All of a sudden the dishwasher is now falling apart as well. I have asked numerous times for a refund and have been told unless you have had three services and them manufacturer deems the product un-repairable, we cannot offer you a refund. In such an economy when people have to work to pay for appliances costing $2000 they expect people to work around their schedule, because it seems like they are never open. I will never purchase another appliance from this manufacturer ever again. I would much rather pay a little bit more if I had to just to avoid the headaches and excuses I have had to deal with.

Remodeled my kitchen less than 3 years ago purchasing all new appliances, range, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave oven, all purchased, delivered and installed on the same day. About 3 months ago I started having trouble with dishwasher whereas all lights on panel lit up and would not go off. Followed instructions to reset same result an error code stating that the control board was bad, mind you weve only used this dishwasher roughly 12 times since purchase or 4 times a year during holidays. I have posted complaints and placed phone calls with zero response. The holidays are here and I am unable to use my dishwasher which just makes it an unusable brick in my kitchen. Additionally my refrigerator is not working properly either. It wont hold temperature, the filter leaks and seems to ice up everything. Ive reset a number of times after which is the only time it works properly for a few days then back to chaos freezing everything on both sides. Im really hoping planned obsolescence lasts longer than 2.5 years. In the meantime, I dont feel that I should be needing a new dishwasher after only 12 uses of that. Ive also heard there may be a recall on my machine, but I dont know, because no one responds! Can someone please get back to us?

It appears (according to service repair man) Frigidaire ss side by side PHSC239DSBO has a wiring harness issue. It falls into the drip pan shorting it out which could cost $300 for a circuit board if that would correct the problem. He states Frigidaire knows of the problem but refused to do a recall. My neighbor and husband rewired the harness and strapped it up so that it will not fall into the drip pan again. Presto, I have power to freezer side. I called Frigidaire for help and they referred me to the service man who in turn stated the repair was out of his league. So, I called back Frigidaire to get someone else. I have yet to hear from them again. In the meantime, we fixed it ourselves. If Frigidaire had only strapped the wiring harness up to begin with, I would not have a problem. It is possible that the harness could have blown my compressor. Luckily, this was not the case. Just a piece of plastic did the job.

Within 6 months we had to have ALL the cooktop, microwave and refrigerator serviced, with the exception of the dishwasher (knock on wood). Fast forward to this year, we wanted to stay with the Professional line since that is what we purchased last year. Received the brand new double wall oven this afternoon, 12/15/2021. Within 30 minutes of the installers leaving the stupid oven gives an Error Code message (F47). My husband has been on hold for more than. We have spent over $7,000 for appliances for them not to work!!!! We were told that the Professional product line was the top of the line appliances for Frigidaire. I will be writing the CEO Mr. Alan Shaw, the Board and everyone else about my issues. I will also be writing up reviews on all of my social media pages. This is ridiculous! I was about to go with Samsung appliances but decided on Frigidaire because I figured that I would have more problems with Samsung. I should have followed my first mind because I am beyond frustrated with Frigidaire Professional. And to make matters worse....its the week before Christmas! How in the heck am I supposed to host dinner with a busted oven!!!! If I could give a negative -5 stars I definitely would.

We purchased a new house and we were thrilled to have all new Frigidaire Professional Appliances installed. We immediately had problems with our refrigerator. The seals in both doors are still not working properly after having been replaced. It has randomly stopped working for no apparent reason. We have had a door replaced on it (as it was dented upon arrival). I have asked for a replacement as it is not reliable but because it is still under warranty they will not replace the unit, just continue to try and fix it. Our dishwasher has also needed replacement parts (we have been in this house around 6 months now) as it was not heating properly. The latch on our microwave was not working so when the service company went to replace it, they broke off some plastic parts and currently it does not work at all. Three appliances all with problems within the first 6 months. I have been a homeowner for years and never had such challenges or problems in the past.

I purchased a Frigidaire Professional Refrigerator in Aug 2015. Since then, I have had the same issue over and over again. The bottom ice maker will work once it is replaced for about a day or two then it stops. This is still going on today 01/30/2017. They have made several major repairs to the unit. Nothing has worked 100%. All the company seems to want to do is replace the bottom ice maker. It is clear that the issue isnt the ice maker. A tech just came out this past Monday and replaced the compressor in the refrigerator and he put a new ice maker in as well. After 1 day, the ice maker stopped working again. I called the Lowes warranty department and they said unless a repairman deems the unit irreparable the ice maker doesnt qualify us for a replacement. It was on factory warranty for 1 year. They also told me that those repairs do not count under the extended warranty. So it is like starting over all over again. My husband believes that they are trying to ride this out until we either give up or the warranty runs out. The current repair company has been out 6 times and 7 will be Monday 02/06/2017. Based on the information I have received from the repair company they have not gotten paid because the issue still exist. I have no control over that. I have been in constant contact with the repair company talking with them concerning this issue. I have been very cooperative and understanding. This whole issue is way out of control and the company doesnt seem to care about the customers or the products that they sell.I would never purchase another Frigidaire Product again. This one was my first. It will certainly be my last. I have been very unhappy and dissatisfied with the products performance and the customer service. We purchased a Frigidaire Gallery French Door Refrigerator six years ago from Howards. It cost us over $2000. In October 2016, it stopped cooling and freezing and we first noticed an SYCF code. We called Frigidaire and were told to order the control board which sits behind the ice maker. The part was ordered on Nov 6 and came after Thanksgiving! I was so mad and when I called Frigidaire, they refunded us for this part because it took over three weeks to get. This control board didnt fix the issue, so we called them back. It was recommended that we call a certified technician on their list. I contacted Riddle after speaking with Frigidaire. Theyre a certified repair service for Frigidaire. I called on Tuesday, Jan 3 in the morning and their technician, Ben, showed up that afternoon. After 15 minutes, he diagnosed the problem is that the switch board with two 5 amp fuses needed to be replaced. He said that he would call the following day to give me a price for the service and labor. For the 20 minutes he was here, it was a $79.00 service charge. I received a call from Ben the following morning at 10:00 a.m. stating that the cost would be $629.20 because he would replace the switch board (that he diagnosed the day before) and the main control board (below the refrigerator). I said THREE times that youre charging me for the main control board based on an assumption you have that it wont work because the switch board doesnt work. I said that isnt right since he didnt diagnose or test the main control board to see if it needed to be replaced. He is basically charging me for a product that may not be broken. The original cost was around $350 and now with this new bogus main control board, it totaled $629.20. AVOID USING RIDDLE who is suppose to be certified repair company for Frigidaire. I called Frigidaire and explained my experience with Riddle and ordered the main control board. The rep I spoke to pulled up the specs for this model and I clearly stated its the control board which sits behind the fridge, at the top left. I confirmed THREE times because he kept calling it something else. He assured me that it was the right item. About 7 business days later, I received the item and guess what? It was wrong.I called and spoke to Juanique, corporate manager on Jan 12, 2017 (remember, our fridge has been broken since October 2016) and she returned the incorrect item and shipped out the right part. She gave me 20% off and free ground shipping because of all my issues. As we waited for the part, we decided to buy a new fridge to avoid all the headache and future issues with this refrigerator. On 2/1/17, I called and requested an RMA number. It took over 10 minutes because the rep (April) could not locate the order. Their system is absolutely ancient and wastes too much time for the consumer. My experience with this location has been NEGATIVE. The customer service reps need more training, attitude adjustments. The two managers I spoke to were very helpful and actually fixed the problems created by their employees. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT BUY FRIGIDAIRE GALLERY FRENCH DOOR refrigerator (model #FGHB2844LF1). The ice maker broke two years into the purchase. We didnt fix it since we have a U-Line ice maker.

Why 1 star? The fridge is actually quite nice and I would usually give it a high score… So why 1 star? Because we were one of the unlucky ones that received a unit that didn’t work and the customer service to fix this problem was atrocious. I understand companies cannot achieve 100% perfection on their products leaving the factory. I understand things like this happen. I do not understand what happened next on how it was handled. Summary if you don’t want the long read: Bought brand new fridge, didn’t work…We didn’t have a fridge/freezer from September 3rd until August 8th 2021. Lost hundreds of dollars in groceries and to call customer service took over an hour every time except once.Long version… Here is the timeline of events that I recall to the best of my memory: From day one on August 20th, we noticed something funny. The fridge was freezing some things and the freezer collected frost easy. Things were still working so we were questioning if the fridge just wasn’t as good as the reviews… or do we need to put a ticket in? Made sure all the vents were free like the manual said etc… It did work, but not as well as the dying 12 year old fridge we had hauled away when the new one arrived.September 3rd: Freezer died completely. This was my first time trying to reach Frigidaire. No customer service on weekends and lucky us this was a long weekend. So, all weekend we got to listen to an alarm on the fridge constantly saying the freezer temp was too high. Ding Ding Ding…Repeat! UGH. September 6th – Got through to Frigidaire on the phone after 1 hour 5 minutes on hold listening to elevator music and advertisements about buying water filters on their web store. OMG SHOOT ME. They could not set up a repair time yet as they had to put the ticket in. They eventually set it up and called us back a couple of days later with the time the repair guy could make it out… and the soonest they could send out a repair person was the week of September 20th. YEA 2 weeks without a freezer and listening to a constant alarm about the freezer being too high a temp!!! Well at least we had a fridge.September 20th – Repair guy looked at it and said the fan and circuit board was not working. He checked availability of the parts and that was going to be NOV 1st. Night of the 20th the Ice Maker section up in the fridge section stopped working… The melted ice flooded everything. Luckily, we saw it and prevented water damage to our hardwood floor.September 21st – the fridge portion of the fridge stopped working completely. Repair guy came right out and looked at that problem and determined there was a problem internally that something wasn’t hooked up right at the factory and the fridge was completely unserviceable and needed a complete replacement. We then went about trying to give food away to friends and such as we had a stocked fridge… Ultimately, we estimate over $300 worth of grocery losses due to the fridge not working. On the bright side we could unplug the fridge and not have to listen to the alarm anymore…On the brighter side we did not have to wait until NOV 1st for freezer parts because the fridge was deemed unserviceable… So in a way we were lucky…Maybe? Kinda?Called Frigidaire again… 45-minute wait and when I got on there was an echo on the line… After about a minute the person said she couldn’t hear me anymore and told me to call back… 1 hour 12 minutes later with the same great music and ads I got through again… They have to put a ticket into the back office which takes 5-10 business days… Translation = 2 weeks in real time. As I complained about this and asked to be patched to someone in the back office the person said something I missed and hung up on me. I actually waited for the stupid questionnaire after the call and gave the lowest rating to the phone agent.Seriously??? It takes 2 weeks for the back office to look at the notes that their repair guy submitted. Well, hey… 2 more weeks without a fridge. I’m sure if you are reading this you agree 2 weeks without a fridge is totally ok. I mean… who really uses a fridge on a daily basis anyways? Here is an idea for Frigidaire… pay OT to your staff to catch up on 5 days of work. That way the wait time is only zero to 5 days instead of 5 to 10 business days.I was told to call October 5th if I had not heard back… So on October 5th I called back… 1 hour 31 minutes a joyful elevator music and advertisements about their webstore later a friendly lady answered the phone. I could hear some kids in the background and I have absolutely NO problem with that… She was nice and handled an angry caller (me) very well. YO Frigidaire!!! Hire more stay-at-home moms! It will shorten customers wait times and she got the job done…As well it will give a job to someone that has a very restricted schedule. Dust off your wallets and hire more customer service reps! The lady told me it was approved on September 30th and the approval was sent to Bad Boys (the dealer we bought from)… Yeah nobody told us. She called bad boys and gave me the reference number. I am still not sure why Bad Boys didn’t call me on September 30th… You know 5 extra days without a fridge is no big deal. Kids can have another bowl of dry cereal. This next part is not due to Frigidaire, but they should understand if a dealer gets a call on September 30th they are not necessarily delivering the new fridge that day. So, I called Bad Boys after I got off the phone with Frigidaire. They did not have an answer for me or a reason why they did not have an answer for me… but they would get back to me in the next couple of days to arrange a delivery time. 2 more days without a fridge… This is where one starts to contemplate the little things in life… Like “Is black coffee any good???”… “Just because it says refrigerate after opening does it really mean it?”… Did I mention we bought Bad Boys “Gold Warranty” to make sure we were covered well and wouldn’t have to worry about being without a fridge?October 8th – New replacement fridge arrived. I have no idea how we could have avoided this debacle. We researched fridges and the Gallery one we bought had great reviews. I guess I would probably give it a good review if it worked well and I had no problems. The actual layout of the fridge and organization is really nice. Nice features… Lots of positive things that could be said on that… But imagine yourself buying an expensive new fridge and then from September 3rd through October 8th you didn’t have a fridge/freezer and you lost hundreds in food. What review rating would you give? All and all you will be happy with the fridge IF nothing goes wrong with it.

We bought a dishwasher and refrigerator 6 months ago at Lowes. Neither has worked well since we bought them. The dishwasher is on its second repair and I have waited for 2 weeks to get it repaired AGAIN. The refrigerator freezes the food and even when we turn it down it still did it. The ice maker sucks! The ice gets stuck and then we have to clean it out and ice goes everywhere. This happens every couple days. So frustrating!! Neither Lowes or Frigidaire will take them back. DO NOT BUY FRIGIDAIRE!!! Very cheaply built and now Im stuck with these appliances that I dont want. I should have gone with Costco from the very beginning. Their customer service is always excellent. Its unfortunate that we did not read reviews before buying.

On Christmas morning I turned our Frigidaire range on to cook our Christmas turkey. Our stove is only 2.5 years old. There was a loud pop and I turned to see flames coming from the back of the stove licking at the wall. My husband quickly pulled the range away from the wall as I shut the stove down. The flames subsided but thick black smoke was still coming from the back panel. Never will I buy a Frigidaire appliance again. We could have lost our home on Christmas morning if we hadnt been in the kitchen. Cooking a turkey for a group of guests on an outdoor grill in 40 degree weather is miserable. Thank you Frigidaire for your junk... Your Frigidaire dishwasher starts by itself so it is unplugged... Your Frigidaire microwave with vent is worthless. We are replacing these new Frigidaire products one at a time for our familys safety.

In December of 2016 we purchased all new Frigidaire appliances. New washer, dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave/hood combo, and oven/cook top combo. The appliance store had a special if you bought all Frigidaire appliances. Big mistake!! Within 1 year the dryer, washer, and dishwasher all broke. Frigidaire fixed them under warranty. Within the second year the dryer, washer, and dishwasher all broke again. This time the repair bill was going to be on us and not cheap. We decided to replace all 3 appliances with Maytag and Kitchenaid. We have never had a problem with these brands.Fast forward to 4.5 years later and our Frigidaire refrigerator caught fire! Had to call fire department. The compressor caught fire and all the electrical is burned up. We have on order a new refrigerator from GE. Never will I ever buy a Frigidaire appliance again!!! Only 2 appliances havent broken, Oven and microwave. I cant wait for the micro to break because the hood vent sounds like a jet airplane when using it. Has from day one but it does work.

Frigidaire apparently is one the few manufacturers that wants to deal directly with purchasers of their products. You wouldnt think so today after their service representative wouldnt let me speak to his manager and hung up on me. I bought a refrigerator one month ago from a store in Vaughan. It arrived defective from Frigidaire. They scratched my hardwood, my brand new white rug had black marks on and my walls were damaged. Fixable, but annoying nonetheless. The same day the fridge was delivered, I sent a video to the delivery department, who sent it to Frigidaire, showing the problems/defects. Someone was supposed to get back to us within a few days. A few weeks later, there was still no call from anyone, no follow up. After a total of six calls, waiting 20+ minutes each time for someone to pick up, getting constantly passed off and their CSRs passing the buck back onto us to follow up with them once again if we dont hear back, we finally got a technician out to look at the refrigerator, almost one month later. Repair guy stayed for less than 5 minutes and told us the unit was non-repairable. I called Frigidaire again, waited for another 20+ minutes, and spoke to Rodney, who put me on a long hold. He kept switching off his mic while I was trying to explain what happened. He clearly wasnt interested in helping at all so I asked to speak to a manager instead. He said no. A few times he refused. I asked why and he said because. Then he pretended he couldnt hear me asking and hung up on me. This experience really left a terrible taste in my mouth. People, if you need to buy appliances, rethink choosing Frigidaire. Do your research and try to choose a manufacturer that wont treat you like total garbage after you spend thousands on their product.

My washing machine has not worked since early Nov. 2016. Frigidaire has sent two different repair companies. The first one gave up as they were not able to fix it, the second repair company has not been able to figure out whats wrong with it. They tried changing the computer first which did not fix the machine. 2nd they tried changing something with the door which also did not fix the machine. It has been a pattern of trying different things without success. The current repair company has told us that the machine is not repairable and has also told the Frigidaire, but Frigidaire technicians keep insisting on trying different things.Throughout all this, We have had a total of 5 visits from the repair companies. I had to miss 3 days of work because I have to be home when they go to the home. The second company was able to work on Saturdays, but Frigidaires technicians are not available on weekend so the repair person cant talk on the phone with them while they look at the machine. I have complained about their process without any success since we still dont have a machine that works. I have spoken with 3 supervisors and one manager and keep getting the same message that their technicians still want to try something else. So they shipped some cables supposedly next day delivery on the week of 12/13 so we set up an appointment on 12/20 for the repair company to show up. The cables never made it to the home so I canceled the appointment with the repair company.I spoke with Frigidaire and now the cables were going to be deliver on 12/31 so I set another appointment with the repair company on 1/3. The cables never arrived on 12/31 so I canceled another appointment. Now Frigidaire tells me that the cables will not be deliver until 1/6/17. By now we are on two months in with a machine that is supposed be new and does not worked. I was also told by one Frigidaires support technicians that their notes showed repairs done in 1/16/16 for a similar issue with the door, before I actually moved to the new condo, purchased the condo on 2/16/16 with all new appliances. Unfortunately they are all from Frigidaire and given my current experience with this company I will never purchase and will tell friends to not purchase from this company. This also means that when the cables actually get delivered I will have to miss a 4th day of work so that the repair person can see the machine. It has been a nightmare dealing with Frigidaire as they are very insensitive to their customers needs, they seem to not care for their customers as we are now two months in without a working machine. Thank you.

We went to Lowes and bought a Frigidaire range. We were invited to buy an extended warranty and we did, so we bought 2 years extended warranty, and paid them by CC. 17 months later the board went bad on that range. We called. They sent in a technician, he ordered the part. Ten days later he came and put the part. Everything is well so far then I start receiving calls from the company that fixed the range, they didnt get paid. I called Frigidaire extended warranty and what a surprise they want me to pay $25 more for them to honor the warranty. They said that they didnt charge enough in the beginning of the contract, and the contractor will keep calling me at work and on my cell until I paid them. All my attempts to explain to them that we paid what they want us to pay and that I still have the invoice, to no avail. The contractor was calling sometimes six to seven times a day at work mostly until we paid them the $25. These people acted like the mob, you pay us or else, even we have a contract that paid fully. The way we have been treated is shameful. I will never buy any Frigidaire product ever.
