When I went to a store in Chicago, the place had all different brands and competitors of Viking, but I was sold on Vikings reputation. The salesman was very helpful and knowledgeable of the Viking product and that made the experience very easy for me. Plus I had a deal going on at the time where I could buy a type of package that fit well because we were remodeling our kitchen. Theres been a couple of little issues, but when we have had them, theyre on top of it right away. The first issue was when the icemaker went out and the second one is that the door on the range is screwy. I have a guy coming out today to service my range so the service has been great. Hopefully its not a big deal and its under warranty and everything is fixed and again, well be very happy with our purchase.

I bought a 5 burner range top and I am very disappointed in the product. I cant get it clean. I have a custom kitchen with a range top that looks burnt. I have tried everything. Customer service told me to use Google as a resource because other customer have had this issue. If your customers are having this issue it the companys responsibility to provide a corrective action. This range top should be recalled.

Its just a fridge, and frankly a poorly designed product, that for some reason costs an order of magnitude more than others. My Viking is 19 years old but the first failures started in the first year. Shelf units and other plastic parts crack and break and the price of replacement is half the cost of a brand new fridge of another brand ($600 for a plastic drawer cover! - be warned!). Im about to haul my $15,000 fridge to the dump because the back is rusting out, it leaks water onto the floor whenever it defrosts, and the control panel no longer responds to key presses. Ive taken my fridge apart. Im a former VP of Engineering for a few product development companies and in my opinion there is nothing in this fridge to justify the price. Its just a fridge. Cheap electronics, poor mechanical design, and for some reason this company is able to charge a huge premium for their product and extortionist prices for replacement parts. Save your money! Buy something else!

I purchased Viking appliances in November 2009 - dishwasher, refrigerator, stove. My dishwasher has not been working since the beginning of July 2013 despite 4 visits by a tech and numerous phone calls to the extended warranty company and Viking. It was also repaired in 2010 and 2011. My refrigerator is also on its third repair and is failing to keep a consistent temperature... It is either freezing food or else keeping food in the 40-42 degree range. These are marketed as Professional appliances and certainly do not live up to this reputation. I discourage all consumers from purchasing Viking appliances... They come with a hefty price tag and leave the consumer frustrated, disillusioned and dissatisfied.

Viking built in double door refrigerator is two years old and is terrible, I have had four service calls to fix it. The first time it simply shut down and stopped working, the service tech replaced the inverter and then it has started leaking water all over the floor. I have now called four times to have it fixed. The local, West Coast Regional Office is a joke. They dont even answer the phone. When they do answer I get the run-around until I insist they send someone to fix it, which then takes two or three days. And then, three weeks later the same thing happens. The unit has a three year warranty and Viking is refusing to honor it. They are just the worst example of customer service I can imagine. My advice is to avoid the purchase of any of their products.

Viking had a professional-style model that would fit in the space that I had versus having to cut out and build new space for the size to have a built-in look. However, the quality of their refrigerator was not great. It doesnt close wonderfully and Ive had issues with the seal. But the team at the Viking dealer has been excellent. Theyre very helpful in getting all these stuff for me.

We were told that Viking is one of the best in the business when we were looking for a new range. It was great and so weve had it for three years. I like it and it cooks very well. However, the oven stopped working two months ago and they couldnt get it right for about a month. When they sent the part, it was the wrong one. The control board probably was defective from day one because one of the lights that used to go on for the cleaning cycle went on even when the cleaning cycle wasnt on. And the guy who repaired it told me that he did three stoves that had the same problem. And one of the lighting that he fixed the morning that he came to us had the same thing. But Viking was really nice and did very good customer service. They paid for the whole thing. I didnt have to pay for the parts or the labor even though it wasnt under warranty. Its working fine now.

Viking has always had a good reputation and it competes with Wolf and Sub-Zero. The refrigerator that we got is cool and the range works well but weve been disappointed with the dishwasher. It doesnt dry well and weve told the dealer about it. A friend of ours got the same dishwasher we did and theyre equally displeased with it. Were both used to a competitor brand called Miele and their products are much better and put Viking to shame. Other than that, our dealer from Key West, Florida has certified appliance repair and theyre excellent. Theyre very professional and they like the Viking brand. We also got undercounter wine coolers from Viking and theyre a good product too and theyre very nice.

I like that the burner of the Viking range is bigger than the other ones so I bought it. But I dont like the range. There is too much problem with the oven. Within six months, the oven is not working properly and there is a problem with the cleaning. The large shaft doesnt come out. So you have to maintain the range. When I turn on the burner, it goes right away sometimes but sometimes it takes four attempts to put on. Viking sent me some specialist and they told me there is a problem with the part. But the range is just one year old and its expensive too. I never recommend this product anymore.

We bought a home with an Italian Fhiaba refrigerator. We had a lot of problems with it and we had to replace it. It cannot be repaired and we only had a certain amount of money that the manufacturer had given us to purchase another refrigerator. The Viking was on sale and thats why I purchased it. It was not my first choice though. The drawers for produce, meats and cheese storage bins are so cheap and I was shocked at the interior for a Viking product. I was sad to lose my Italian refrigerator which was well-made and had beautiful interiors. I would not have bought the Viking refrigerator but it was at the right price, so I ended up with it. But would I buy another one? Absolutely not. We purchased a completely renovated home, and all the appliances were Vikings. The six-burner gas stove and the microwave are all okay, and they work great. But I would not recommend the refrigerator. When I knew I had to replace my previous refrigerator, I went onto several websites to read reviews, and very few of them were good. But my husband wasnt going to spend more money because we bought a house with a $10,000 refrigerator that ended up not working after two years. Even the plastic inside of a Sears Kenmore refrigerator is better. Viking has these soft close drawers for cheese and veggies, which are awful. I have to treat them with kid gloves, because Im afraid theyre going to break on me at any given moment. The company that owns Viking make commercial grade refrigerators and U-Line is one of their products. Its an amazing refrigerator. Why dont they use some of the same materials? Viking has been synonymous with high-end quality. But they really fell short on this one. Looks good on the outside, poor quality on the inside.

I have a Viking kitchen. I've had a Viking refrigerator in my house for about 20 years. It lasted 18 years before I needed some work. And then, that lasted for another couple of years. I was good with it. It went bad, so I needed a new one. However, I'm rather disappointed that the warranty service happened. The issue was the fridge wouldn't hold temperature. It took about a month and a half. But the tech did a really good job. It has only been a month or two since the repair, but so far, so good. He added refrigerant. He couldn't find the leak. So if the leak is somewhere hidden, it would recur. I like the fridge when it works.

Our Viking fridge is not very old, but we’ve had multiple things break on it. The customer service has not been great and we haven’t gotten things resolved. Our ice machine is broken and we’ve been waiting on a part for a couple of weeks. The door on the refrigerator is off because, apparently, it’s heavier than the freezer so we have an alignment issue with the exterior of the refrigerator, which we heard we can’t fix. We also had two of our interior condiment holders break. Those have been replaced though. We should’ve bought a Sub-Zero. We probably would not buy another Viking.

I know about kitchen brands since we have a restaurant, and though Wolf is my favorite, I went with a Viking range for its size. I like the Wolf way better. I like the way the Wolf looks more commercial. Vikings a little modern for my liking but I enjoy that it fits in our tiny condo and its a commercial range. However, it was installed crooked and its still crooked. It slopes, so the trays slide out when Im cooking. Its dangerous when Im cooking greasy items. I dont know if the guy that installed it is also the reason why it doesnt ignite properly or if its a Viking problem, but it explodes when I try to light it. I havent been able to use it for quite some time and Ive tried to get the guy out to fix it. Ive reached out to them a couple of times but he is a no-show and a no-callback. On the other hand, I called Wolf for my Sub-Zero at the same time I called Viking, and the Wolf guys were on it.

My friend had a Viking range and recommended it to us. We didn’t have a place for a double oven in the wall, so I wanted a large range and the Viking range happened to be available. We were looking at Wolf initially but the Viking range that we found and purchased was with the dual fuel and it was also the floor model. So it was over the top, but our kitchen is over the top as well, so it went with our kitchen. Also, the quality of the range is wonderful. I like the convection oven that Ive never had before and I use it all the time. It definitely works a lot faster than other ovens. We received a lot of appliances with different brands from the Viking dealer and the reps there were good. When we first had the Viking range installed, the convection fan was really loud and would rattle the floor when we put the convection oven on. They had somebody come out and replace the fan. It still gets a little loud, but it doesn’t do anymore what it did before, and we hope that we don’t have to ever deal with that situation again. They definitely rectified the situation promptly and that was really good. I will go back to Viking Ranges.

We learned about Viking from a friend and she told us that there was this Viking refrigerator on sale, so we went and purchased it. We were in the middle of building a house and decided to go with the range and the dishwasher after that. We had to get a contractor to put in the dishwasher and after he put it in, the seal that sealed the door of the dishwasher when you run it had been flipped over or creased, but he was able to unfold it and he tried to work it back. Then, the icemaker on the refrigerator never worked, and we’ve got water lines coming to it. The guy seemed to think the whole icemaker was bad or there’s a solenoid or a switch that could be out.We also have two eyes on the range that havent worked. One wouldn’t ignite at all, while the other ignited 20% of the time. When the appliance people came out to look at them, they had to order the parts and I needed to call Viking in order to see if I can get that under warranty. It was brand new when we got it. At that price range and for the quality, we were expecting a bit more attention to detail and less issues, especially not have something wrong with all three of them. Still, we like them. They work well, and theyre nice. My wife’s also enjoying the range well and I like how quick it heats up. It’s good. I would recommend it.

A Viking range was in my home when we bought it. But that one was a demo in the store and when they installed it, they messed it up and burned up some of the wiring. I had trouble with it from the get-go, so it was replaced by Viking. Replacing it was a long, drawn-out process. But finally, after them trying to find the appropriate fix for the existing range, they said, “We’re done. We’re gonna replace it, no charge.” I like the new range and the grill is so pretty. The original one I had was so heavy. I’m a senior, and just picking up the grates was terrible. This new range I got is much easier to clean. They’ve broken it down, even the griddle and the parts that would have to be taken out, and cleaned are much lighter. They did a much better job on the newer models.

But some people were saying after your guarantee expired, youre not gonna be able to use Viking and that they dont come out and fix the refrigerator. But I like the refrigerator. I wanted it to be a little bigger, but its still fine. I like it because if I leave the refrigerator open, it makes a noise if the door was not closed properly. I tried to register my equipment online because they were saying theres a rebate. I completed the rebate and sent it a couple of months ago but I have not received any rebate yet. I have owned a Viking range oven, microwave and refrigerator for over two years. Although I did not purchase them I was very excited when we found out they would be included with the purchase of the house. Since then I have been less than impressed. The refrigerator constantly leaks from the bottom of the pullout freezer. I have taken it apart myself and had multiple repairmen look at it to no avail. It has ruined my wood floors and constantly has to have a towel placed under it to soak up water. My oven was working ok for longer however now the fan constantly runs. Regardless of what mode its in (including when its off.) This has made my kitchen a very noisy place. I have yet to take a part and diagnose this issue. Lastly my microwave constantly blows fuses. The clock is too hard to see on the small screen and when it does work it is very inconsistent. To add insult to injury, the cost of fixing any of these issues by certified Viking suppliers is absolutely outrageous! For the time being we are dealing with what we have until we can save money to replace each product in the kitchen. I am very disappointed and would not recommend this company to ANYONE! Buyer beware.

I dont know if theyre amazed by the performance or maybe the way it looks. Maybe it looks expensive, especially the microwave. I press the button and it pulls up and people freak out. I also have an oven and a fridge. My fridge is good and beautiful. It keeps the food fresh. Its classy and its nice. It has the part where if I wanna put the pizza in the bottom theres a storage for that. I love it however I got some issues that theyre supposed to take care of but because of the Coronavirus, I dont know what happened. Overall Viking is the best. They have a little competition there, but its not as good. What I like about Viking is it has a bold look to it and when you see it in the kitchen, it stands out. The Viking Professional side-by-side refrigerator has operated for about 7 years without any real issues. However, today the water dispenser activated and flooded our kitchen floor. Thankfully we were home and awake when it happened and were able to figure out if we lock the dispenser the water stops flowing. The ice dispenser works fine, but the water flows even when the ice dispenser is being used. It keeps beeping as it would when locked and someone tries to use it, even though the switch is not being physically activated. This makes me VERY nervous to even repair it as the damage it would cause if it went on for hours and hours (or even days if we were to travel) is nerve-wracking. What if it malfunctions again? The repair guy is coming in a couple days and we hope it wont dispense water while locked.

I researched and found the Athens Refrigeration. When we walked in the store, it was completely different. They were very patient and informative. I was looking for a pro series refrigerator to match my professional appliances. The Viking Refrigerator met my requirements plus it was around my budget. The person from the store has been helping me with the appliances and choosing the right ones, and thought highly about the Viking Refrigerator. It’s very well lit with the LED lighting and it’s nice being able to open it and see everything. I like the number of shelves and the fact that I can reconfigure them. I have one that folds in half, so thats also neat because I may not need a full shelf. I could fold one of the shelves in half to fit a gallon of milk or orange juice, but if I dont have that, maybe I want to have the shelves instead. Also, the control panel lights up and temperature cool zone can be adjusted to cool whatever food you’re storing and it will keep it at that temperature plus the dial setting can be easily accessed because it’s in the inside of the door. Thats very helpful because with other refrigerators, they have it in places where someone cant even reach. The only issue that I had was that I had to have the refrigerator replaced 3 times because of the doors being not aligned and even. They tried to align the doors but the top part was wider open than the bottom. The store said that they couldnt do anything with it because the wheels in the back were not adjustable and they could not also adjust the doors. They could only do operating on adjustments. I called Viking service and they sent a repairman who said that it was actually defective and I need it to have it replaced. The reason it happened twice is because the store said, Well order a replacement, but when it came, one of the doors was dented. Theyve had the same issue, and they were not going to leave it with me. Theyre going to take it back. The store said, If youre not happy with the Viking maybe you could choose a different model or a different refrigerator. But even though the Viking refrigerator has those issues, I liked it and was already in love with it. I couldnt find that different selection. So then they delivered a new one and it was better than the other one. It wasnt wobbly but it still had an issue with the doors. However, when the repairman came and told me that it was defective, he said the doors could be fixed but not the wobbly part. They called the service again and I said, I got the replacement refrigerator. Can you come fix the door? They did, so now its good.At least, they let me keep the refrigerator until I got the replacement so I was not without a refrigerator. But because it was a special order it would take long time, like in a month. I wasnt happy because of everything else, but regarding the unit itself and how it operates, I would definitely recommend it. For the price, its great because it competes with the professional refrigerators.

When we bought our house, it was furnished with brand new Viking professional series appliances. We have lived in our (new) house for 6+ yrs. Over that time period, the fridge has given us non-stop problems. The $8K+ fridge is inferior in performance to any standard appliance you could pick up at Lowes or Home Depot for a fraction of the price. Issues: Was subject to a recall - took 4+ mos to get recall parts delivered for a recall associated with a major safety issue (heavy fridge doors literally falling off the hinges and hurting kids... not some minor issue); Freezer stopped working. Have had 3 different Viking certified contractors come out to service it and it still doesnt work. Weve paid over $1K in fixes - none of which have actually worked.Entire fridge stopped working. May be the motherboard. May be the compressor. Will take months to get the part in and replaced. The compressor is under warranty but Viking will charge us $150 to ship the covered part back to them if its not in fact why the damn thing isnt working. In total, were looking at a minimum of 2+ mos to get it fixed. This is not the 3rd world, but if you have Viking appliances youd be forgiven for thinking it given how youre forced to survive for months without a working fridge. We have a mini fridge and wine coolers we are storing our groceries in... because our $8+ thousand dollar fridge doesnt work and cant get repaired in any kind of reasonable time frame with Vikings stipulations about who can and cant work on it w/o voiding the product warranty. All of our neighbors with Viking appliances have had THE SAME ISSUE. All of the certified techs will privately tell you Viking sucks. Their customer service is atrocious. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON VIKING. After reading very similar reviews, I cant for the life of me figure out how they are still in business.

Aside from the Viking name, the ranges value would add to our property in the kitchen. So far, I’ve been very satisfied with their product. It’s basic, not over the top and gimmicky like some of the other ovens have. It’s a good looking piece of equipment that works really well so far. I called the customer support when I had issues with it. They’re professional. They gave me a number for their local dealer out here and I called them up. Viking themselves have done a really good job and then the contractor is satisfactory as far as my dealings with them. I got two burners that don’t work and I’m still waiting for them to come back. Someone already came out to see what the issues were, ordered some parts and they’re coming next week. These two burners haven’t been working for about two months now. But it’s sure it’s going to get fixed this week. So far I’ve been happy with everything that works on it because other than the two burners it works great. The even heating in the oven is the one I’m most happy with. The quality is exactly what I expected.

Ive used Viking Ranges in the last 2-3 houses that Ive owned over the years. During the first purchase, I was looking for a commercial type range. I investigated what ranges were available so I looked at consumer ratings and decided to purchase Viking. I never had a problem with the first Viking that I owned. However, I had a problem with quality with the latest one Ive purchased. I had a technician come out for 5-6 times and when we still couldnt get it resolved. I called them and they offered to replace it. I wasnt really that happy with the dealer. I dont know if Id still go back there. I was trying to decide between Viking and another oven. Their oven would take a while to get so I went with the Viking, and it didnt come in as quickly as I had anticipated. Nevertheless, I love it. I have the dual range so I have the electric oven, the gas cooktop and two ovens. I love the convenience of having the two ovens. I have lots of room when I cook big meals. The surface of the stove is great because I have lots of burners that I can use. I also have the big overhead stand and the heat lamps. It makes it a lot easier to cook and I like to cook. Its a great oven for cooking and baking.

We appreciate the quality of the brand. The 7 series in particular had a lot of the newer features that could be useful, particularly in how we cook. Were really enjoying it. Its very high quality. We really like the broiler. We really appreciate that. We also like the setup with some of the lower BTU range areas. Its been great. We also like the high simmer approach on the top left. So you can go right from high straight into a really controlled simmer. The Viking dealer was great. We use Plesser’s in Babylon. They had great background and nice expertise. They could walk us through the features. They were incredibly helpful and worked with us on all different pricing.

My husband did his research online about the stoves and he surprised me with a Viking for my 50th birthday. He bought it at Ferguson and had a wonderful experience with the saleswoman. He was told it was an updated version of the stove and it fit perfectly into our space. Were in a walk-up and the installation team, the two gentlemen that came and delivered, did a hell of a job. Everything went so smoothly. The stove is wonderful and beautiful. Plus, I love that the knobs have not only low, medium, high, but low medium. Because when youre doing a recipe, it goes medium low. So I like that it has more temperature points than just low, medium, high. However, the booklet was talking about how to broil and to make sure to use the broiling pan, and I was disappointed that the stove didnt come with a broiling pan. I assumed thered be one. I would have kept the one from my GE stove, but I threw it out. Also, after using nonprofessional stoves my whole adult life, Im having a hard time getting used to a stove that doesnt have a timer. Im getting better with it but its a weird change. But overall, the service and the product are excellent.

This refrigerator was serviced within a year after purchasing it. The doors started becoming uneven. Two repair men had to remove the door and replace the pin. They do not have factory pins so the door is still slightly uneven and makes a weird sound when its opened. Fast forward to today and the freezer is warm, my food is thawed. I have had nothing but issues with my dishwasher that doesnt dry my dishes, 6 burner range, microwave needed a part. The self cleaning oven doesnt do a good job and the grease is still on the door window. I never imagined that spending top dollar for appliances would be such a headache and so costly. Please, if youre in the market for new appliances, DO NOT buy Viking!

20 years ago we went with a Vulcan, a true industrial appliance and after years with that, we decided that we wanted something more refined. Viking Ranges features and design fit what we wanted so we bought it. I wish it was more affordable but we love it. I have three favorite features of the range. One is the thermostatic griddle because that was one of the big things that the Vulcan did not have. We had the combination broiler griddle so we had to manually manage the temperature on the griddle, which was a ridiculous amount of effort. Thus we didnt use it much. Having the thermostatic griddle now makes it very usable because it makes it simple - turn it on, set the temperature, wait 10 minutes and cook. Another favorite feature is the convection. I use it almost all the time. The last one is actually an accessory but I do really like it and thats having the wok grate. There was one defect with the range and we worked through the dealer that we bought it from and it was good. They thought at first that it was a defective grease trap so they just sent out a replacement. When that didnt fit, they decided to look a little closer. In the end, it turned out that the griddle assembly was not welded together properly, thus the reason that the grease trap didnt fit. The problem was addressed and weve had no other issues.

My husband bought the Viking dishwasher and he wanted a matching appliance. We did the purchasing through ABT and they’re great. We think that Viking is a good brand and it looks nice. We got the French doors and set it side by side, like our old KitchenAid which was there when we bought the house. Our Viking refrigerator is fine, but the clips that hold down the racks in the freezer keep coming off from day one when we havent had it for very long, six months at most. ABT came out last week but they never did anything about the clips. So I told my husband to make sure to ask them about it when they come back out. We’ve called ABT to have that corrected. Were waiting for them to call back.Theres also one minor thing. Most refrigerators have feet you can adjust if it needs to go up or down an inch. Viking doesnt have that. We have a two-inch gap at the top of the refrigerator, between the old cabinets and refrigerator. They were able to adjust the KitchenAid to go up to it and with the Viking, you can’t. But I liked the style of the French doors and those big shelves and big, perfect trays.

The Viking range has all the features I wanted and a good reputation for being a quality product. It lasts a long time with not a lot of maintenance issues. We wanted a blue range to match our blue kitchen, so we got a custom one. The first one that we received was a disaster. It never worked from the minute we got it. The spring on the door was damaged so the oven never shut properly. Every time it got up to a high temperature, it would drop suddenly down and just remain there. Every day, they sent a bunch of people out to look at it and the whole process was annoying. After a lot of complaining, they finally replaced it. But even if they could have fixed it, I still wouldn’t have wanted it. Why would I want a defective stove that didn’t work from the second it was installed? It was definitely not an easy process. They were blaming the distributor and each step that we had to go through was very frustrating to deal with. The brand new range doesn’t bake well at all. My wife tries every day to bake in it but it burns. We got the dual range with the gas top and convection electric oven. The gas range itself is great, but the actual oven is not very accurate in terms of temperature. The way it cooks food is very inconsistent and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone who wants to do a lot of baking. I would like to take an actual temperature reading on it because it seems to cook hot. Im overall disappointed with this product.

We have Viking range, oven, refrigerator and microwave but after spending money with a Viking refrigerator, were not very happy. The icemaker doesnt work really well and the drawer that the ice goes into is always sticking. We cant always push it in its place perfectly. The seal around the freezer door has been giving us problems ever since it was delivered here. Even after resetting the temperature in the refrigerator section, weve had issues of things freezing in there, and its not been functioning. Weve been calling the dealer we bought the refrigerator from, and theyve been coming out. But for buying quality stuff like this, its not what we expected. My Bentley doesnt give me this type of trouble. Its worth a lot more money but its on the same par. Its that type of quality were expecting. Nevertheless, our experience with the dealer was great. We purchased out Viking refrigerator at Atlantic Appliances and should have listened to the salesperson who told us it was really an AMANA refrigerator with a VIKING label on the door. He was insulting AMANA because this brand was worse! Not less than 2 months later, the top of the cold cut drawer snapped off. The produce drawers cracked shortly afterward. Obviously the interior was sub-optimal and did not live up to the Viking brand. Overtime, I realized that the storage is not practical either. I cannot fit all of my produce in those two tiny drawers, and the bottom freezer cannot hold a large turkey. Also, the freezer drawer does not come out enough so that you have to bend down and INTO the freezer. Finally the entire refrigerator crashed this weekend and we need to buy another, after owning it for 6 years. Went to SEARS and fell in love with a Kenmore french door... price 2000.00. Price of Viking 3560.00. Do the math! I will never purchase high end appliances again.

I was doing research and my sister had a Viking range, and then I started looking into Viking appliances. I liked them, plus they were made in the USA, and thats how I ended up buying a Viking refrigerator. Its a good purchase. I bought it from my dealers here in the Portland area. Its been excellent with the reps. The salesperson was very knowledgeable. He offered me different kinds and I said, Listen, just tell me about Viking right now, and he said, Okay. The ref I got has two features that I like. First, the temperature is very constant, and is exactly what the ref says. Second, theres a little ozonator inside the ref for keeping the food fresh and not smelling. However, I am going to call Viking because we have a little issue with the refrigerator. When I open the door, the drawers on both sides where you put your veggies in wont stay and would slide out if I dont put something underneath, like a piece of towel. This appliance is not leveled well. Other than that, its perfect. Hopefully, somebody can fix my refs drawers so they will not slide when I open the main door, because thats very annoying.

Placed an order for Model RVGR33015BSS from Us Appliance. It was shipped by one carrier and brought to Denver. The order was then moved to another carrier for the trip to Trinidad Colorado. I went to the carrier and picked up the oven (we live in a rural area). Upon inspection of the box for visible damages I found none. I did not open the box. The box was unloaded at my house by me, and we took the oven inside... we noticed the door was open on the oven but when we got into the house we found that the brackets that held the outer door to the inner door were broken and the outer door was hanging by some screws. I notified US Appliance with pictures. They came back and told me that I had damaged the oven and it was my problem. I contacted Viking and my customer rep told me there was not much she could do. I was told because I picked up the stove at the shippers; it was my responsibility. There was no other damage to the stove. One small dent on the bottom of the front kick plate that was not visible. My wife and I decided to go forth and repair the oven ourselves. I had a local welding shop, reweld the brackets on the front door panel, we purchased a new piece of glass and reinstalled the door ourselves. FYI the spot welds that held the brackets on were at best way too small and the welds did not penetrate into the parent metal.I also noticed the oven would not light, so I took the cover plate off and inspected the spark for the oven part found the cover plate was installed incorrectly and the spark was grounding on the frame. I took the cover plate to my shop and increased the size of the hole by 1/2 and repaired the spark boot and it is working better. However I did notice the oven will not light from the convection bake position. I have to start the oven in bake and after it gets hot move it to convection (I think the fan caused a draft).Im disappointed in US alliance and will not do business with them in the future. We love our rebuilt stove. Serial number 111715C10200028. Im giving it two stars because I think the stove may have been damaged at the factory, and the stove could have been packaged better. It was placed on a pallet with flimsy straps. It is possible that the unit was damaged by a shipper but there are no marks on the box indicating a fork from a forklift got into the wrong place.

Delivery was OK, however delivery man could not turn-on the fridge, they told me to look at the manual. Noticed that the door to the freezer was not centered, and the lights shining into the freezer were not working. Called Viking, they told me the local service person would fix the door and the lights, I should get a call from the service person in 2 days. After 2 days drove to the service person’s address, the place looked like the home of the Adams’ family. Called back Viking, asked for another service person, was told that I would get a call back from Viking in 2 days.2 days later no call from Viking, so I called them, recited my story, was placed on hold for a good 15 minutes and was told that another service person, would be at my house the same afternoon. That afternoon service person fixed the lights, and repositioned the freezer door. I expected better service from Viking after spending $3,500.00 on one of their refrigerator. New problem now, the inside of the vegetable crisper freezes, I’ve lowered the inside temperature to 39 degrees, but no joy. I’m not sure if I want to call Viking Customer Service once again, to have this fixed.

We bought a home a year ago. It’s not a brand new home and we needed to update its kitchen. We liked to cook, so we were looking for some of the well-known brands. I have a younger sister thats a chef, so she told us about the usual Viking, Wolf, Sub-zero, Cove kinda thing and we began to research those brands as we were preparing to replace the appliances in our kitchen. The Viking refrigerator seems like a nice durable unit. I have noticed the difference from a GE or a KitchenAid in here before. It seems to preserve the food longer as they claim with the freshness system, preventing spoilage. So, that was quite noticeable. It does seem like the fans run a lot although one of the installers explained to me that there are several fans in there to balance temperature and things like that, but Im never sure which ones going so Im never sure if this thing is running all the time or just frequently. We had to put a side by side built-in in because of the way the kitchens designed and there really wasn’t, at least at the time, an option to have the water and ice dispenser together. It does have the ice dispenser, but there really wasn’t any option for the filtered water which would have been nice. And even though it does make the ice, there is no water filter in the fridge itself which isnt really a concern. We have good water in the community, but for constructive feedback, itd be nice to have that option even if youre just making ice.The representatives were very helpful. I worked with Grand Appliance for the refrigerator. And they had a unit that was ordered for a job and then the customer changed their mind and went with a French-door unit, so they gave me a nice deal on this one since it was still brand new and just misordered. But they did a nice job with that in getting it here and installing it. So, that part went well. I did have one follow up because right after it was installed, one of the little pins that keep the door from swinging had broke off and I called Viking and since it has only been a few days, they sent someone right out to replace that little pin. I would recommend Viking Refrigerator. Its a high quality product.

Viking has got a reputation that it has a very good product. We had a Thermador before and had problems with it so we decided to get a Viking. My husbands a cook and he decided this was what he wanted. When we called in a warranty issue with a fan for the stove, the people from Monterey who handle their warranty repairs came out. The guy was amazing. He did everything that he could find that needed to be done and he was here a few hours. It seems like the whole stove works better since he came out. He came in to replace the fan but now we have lights above the knobs which we never had. It also seems like the burners are hotter. He was out here twice. He came out once and diagnosed the fan problem. Since its an intermittent problem, the only way we were able to show him was that we videoed it. If we hadnt videoed it, they wouldnt have been able to handle it under warranty. Im sure theyre aware that this is an ongoing problem. Ive read about it in the internet as well so my one thing would be when people make a complaint, they shouldnt have to go to the point of videotaping the problem for Viking to authorize the repair. Other than that, we love our Viking Range. Its a really good product.

I used to be a decorator in New York but now Im in Portland. I was doing caregiving for my mom, but I got her into renovating and I wanted to upgrade the whole kitchen. I wanted a sturdy commercial fridge that would still look nice in a residence and Viking Refrigerators already has the reputation. In addition, I like that the interior parts of their refrigerators were metal and not plastic. I had a simpler fridge the first time and I was amazed at how quickly the plastic parts started getting smashed when a bottle fell. I went to Eastbank Contractor Appliances. They represent a bunch of different companies, and what I liked about them was that they team up with Basco Appliances here in Portland. They picked all the brands that they like the best and put together the showroom. So you get good people who are seasoned in the industry. I trust them and they helped me go through everything. So far, I like my fridge and Im very pleased with it. I love the lighting when you open it up. There are lights all over the place. Its LED so I dont worry about wasting energy. I’ve used Viking for several years. I’ve had a 16-inch Viking range in one house and had some other Viking and Jenn-Air appliances as well. But Ive always gone back to Viking. My wife likes them because the big Viking ranges have removable inserts so when we spill and things flow over on the gas ranges, we lift the grating off and then there’s a pan that we can lift out on the older ones that makes it much easier to clean. But in my current house, I bought a Viking surface gas range and it’s a pain in the ass because I can’t pull those pans out to clean them.I also have a non-built in refrigerator and I had it drop shipped to my house. I unpacked it, installed it myself, set it all up, and it’s perfect. I like the LED lighting in them. Its just a nice touch to it when I open the doors. Also, the handles have a substantial feel which at times, feel a little better than industrial feel. Others are still in boxes and they’re waiting to be installed. One’s a built in refrigerator, built in freezer, and a built in wine cooler. And I have a construction project going on right now so they’re not going to be installed for another four weeks if all goes smoothly. One of the reasons I’ve gone overboard with Viking is because when I went a local supplier where I’m at to look at Viking and they didn’t stock them any more They said, “Well, we actually just had to pull them out because we don’t do enough business here. Viking is consolidated per dealership network. And so I called another dealer and they said, “Yeah. We’ve been buying up all the demo Viking stuff and Viking bought stuff from other dealers ‘cause they’ve gone through a dealer consolidation. So I ended up going to a dealer in Dallas, Texas and buying most of my Viking appliances from them. We got a really good discount because they had been buying up inventory from other dealerships in this consolidation so my timing was right.Nonetheless, I spent over $20,000 but Ive got three refrigerators, a wine cooler, two stove tops, one gas, one induction, and one Viking wall oven and two Viking warming drawers. My wife absolutely loves the wall oven because they’re French doors, and she’s short. She’s burned herself on oven doors trying to reach into the oven to pull things out and so those French doors are phenomenal for short people because they can get right into the oven without having to reach over the door when they open the door down in a conventional oven. Ive already recommended them to a couple of friends that were remodeling their kitchens. I even told them where to go and a couple of dealerships that I worked with that gave really good pricing.

Ive used Viking for a couple of decades in my home. Vikings range has an 18,000 BTU burner on one side and the other ones are 15,000, whereas the main competitor, Wolf, has 15,000, 15,000, 9,000 and 5,000. However, I don’t like the new design. It used to be a more commercial-looking cookware and it has become more blingy now than it used to be. It also got shiny rings on it that I didn’t know I was gonna get. The quality is fine, though. I like the new slide-out drawers and that the light turns on when the door opens. The little lights that illuminate the numbers on the dials are nice. We have a Viking stove in our city home and we bought another one for our weekend home, and the new one doesn’t simmer as low as the old one.Vikings dealer just does the minimum. I ask a question and they give me one answer. They don’t try to be accommodating. Instead, they need to do value because they were the only one that would service the warranty in the area. Also, we had no choice but to buy the range from them. I ordered an eight-inch skirt on top of the back of the stove, but it didn’t arrive, so they had to come and install it and they had to come back again. They were not very flexible when they could come back. There was also a microwave that was a gift and I chose an install kit as a promotion gift, but they didn’t order the install kit even though I put in the form clearly. There were many steps to get the simplest order through.Being an old Viking customer, its really tricky to get things repaired and the parts are extremely expensive. When I talked to a couple of dealers, they were pointing the client towards Wolf because they feel that Viking’s quality has dropped and that the repair is very expensive. In the end, I bought Viking because I wanted the 18,000 versus the 15,000-burner, and that’s what pushed me back towards going with Viking. We have a friend in the city that just renovated their apartment and they bought a Wolf. We asked them why they bought a Wolf and they said that the dealers told them that Viking has gone down and it is not what they used to be. We had an issue with the old one being that all the colors wear off after a while. All the markings rubbed off and the repair is lengthy and expensive. But other than that, it works fine.

We purchased a 30 inch Viking Gas Range about 5 years ago and were so impressed with it we bought their dishwasher 2 years later. What a mistake. The dishwasher was very quiet and we did not realize the pump was running continuously. The electric bill soared and we finally realized it was running. I called Viking to find local service and they tried to send me to a repair service about 100 miles from where I live. When we found the local authorized repair service they pulled it out and found a very small moisture sensor in the bottom tray under the dishwasher was to blame. The repairman could not get any information on when Viking could send the part. When I followed up directly with Viking parts, I was told they would get back to me, but never did. I was eventually told by Vikings authorized repairman to throw it out. $2,400 for a 3 year old dishwasher and it was useless. I replaced it with a Bosch. Now it is the gas range. The oven wont light, the burners wont light first time and the grill goes out. We replaced the electronic thermostat ($378) and it initially worked, but has now reverted to pumping gas into the house without ignition or resignation if we manage to get it going. Viking neither stands behind their products nor have a value even close to their costs. They could give these things away free and they would not be worth the risk to life.

Im very disappointed about the service department. This problem started in December and until now it is not solved. They ordered the wrong parts 3 times. Executive Appliance say that Viking kept sending the wrong parts. I lost a lot of money throwing away spoiled food and at this point I really need to be compensated for that and I dont believe that this fridge is going to be fixed. It should be replaced.

I like the ease of use of all our Viking appliances and the cleanup is minimal. For my Viking range, we have five burners that are of different sizes. I like having the middle one, which is like a warmer. It works well. All of the burners have a very good solid flame and its evenly distributed across the entire burner.

Would NOT recommend to anyone a Viking dishwasher... Purchased Viking products for newly constructed home 2 years ago. Because it had the Viking name I thought it was a trusted brand. Lesson learned big time to do the homework prior to a purchase. My Viking dishwasher mirrors the innumerable complaints in this thread... Its loud, cycle lasts 3-4 hours (absurd), never dries OR cleans completely... and also has a funny smell. I must also mention the design internally... machines priced at 1K less are more functional and hold more.ONE MONTH AGO as I started washer it made a grinding noise. I located authorized dealer that handles Viking appliances still under warranty (mind you Houston 4th largest city in US and they have one (1) authorized dealer for entire city). It took one (1) week to get an initial appointment - tech arrived week two (2) diagnosed problem, drain pump broken and placed order for new part. Week three (3) I was phoned by authorized dealer and told part SHOULD arrive week five (5) and only given a TENTATIVE timeline as to when to expect tech to return. Needless to say I am not a happy camper, and it should not take over 5 weeks to service a dishwasher. More expensive is NOT always better and VIKING is a perfect example. My advice: DON’T BUY VIKING - do your research!!!

Not the greatest service for a pretty pricey appliance. The grid was kind of hard to maintain. Overtime, the grill top did look discolored (supposed to be normal) but it kind of bothered us as we had an open kitchen concept. Otherwise, best gas stove we have had so far in-term of cooking/pots - the grill top in the center and 2 cooking grids on either side.

We owned all Viking appliances in our previous home. We had about 14 years
We owned all Viking appliances in our previous home. We had about 14 years of experience with the range, hood, refrigerator, dishwasher, and wine fridge. Weve just started remodeling our kitchen here in Texas and purchased a Viking package here as well because of their reputation and the quality and the look of the appliances. We were comfortable moving forward with Viking again though what we got were kind of different products than what we purchased before in some ways. The range we had was a double oven and was kind of super high end range. This time, we have a stand alone LPG all-steel cook top and then a wall oven. I like some of the improvements theyve made to the product line. The cook top is much easier to clean than the more commercial style we previously had.We went for a French door refrigerator this time which got the freezer above and has two French doors. The whole refrigerator unit is really good and convenient. It fit in to the opening we have perfectly at the right depth. Everything about it is also pretty first rate. We are happy with the refrigerator and with everything but one thing I have is on the packaging of the product particularly on the refrigerator. When the installers came to install it, they spent forever trying to take the protective material Viking uses over the stainless steel off. They never got all of it off and I can still see some of the adhesive that was used to hold it on there even though Ive used stainless steel cleaners that were recommended. We did the purchase from Pacific Sales which is a brick-and-mortar store in Austin and is apparently a subsidiary of Best Buy. However, the experience was not good with Pacific Sales and horrible with Best Buy. The whole delivery process was a nightmare. We love the products and we had no issues with the installers that Best Buy used, but the length of time the scheduling took and the constant lack of information and the change of information were not good at all. I would probably never buy from Pacific Sales again. When we first started looking, we went online and found vendors that would ship the appliances to our home for free and no sales tax because they had no brick-and-mortar presence in Texas. But I thought of paying the extra sales tax which was substantial just to have that local touch and that good quality customer service which couldnt have been farther from whats the reality. The Viking Range Corporation needs to know that when a customer decides to buy a Viking products from Pacific Sales, which is Best Buy, theyre likely in for a tough go of it. The sales person who we dealt with never called and kind of washed his hands off once we get handed off to this contact person with Best Buy when things started getting kind of going sideways. But now that we have the appliances and theyre all in place, everything seems to be working great. I placed a call with Viking today as I was having some issues with the new wall oven and I got connected to a very knowledgeable person in tech support. He walked me through what he thought were the probable issues. It was more of a problem with me understanding the directions though I read the owners manual pretty closely, but after talking to him, he provided a lot more information about how to use the oven properly than what I got out of reading the owners manual. Also, we had some repairs that needed to be done and Viking always seems to have good customer service. Viking corporate had to handle recall issues and they were good about notifying us for that. However, Ive tried to register these appliances online and Ive only got about half of them done. For some reason, it comes back and says they dont recognize the model number or the model number and the serial number dont match so they cant do it. I have yet to call so thats been a little bit of a pain but no big deal.

13 years ago, when we built our house, we bought a Viking refrigerator. About two years ago, we put $1100 into it because it quit working. The guy said it was better than new then about three months ago the refrigerator door fell off. They gave us a whole new one so now I have a new Viking Refrigerator. However, I dont like it as well as my old one because I dont think it holds as much. And already, the plastic is cracked in one of the drawers and I dont know how it happened. We had that problem with the old one, but not this soon. The drawer in the new unit is not extra full, it goes in by itself, and you just give it a little shove and it slides in. I like that feature and its better for me. But my other one have more of a tall shelf on one side so taller things would fit like a wine bottle say and its pretty. Their reps are very nice and they were very good about getting us a new refrigerator. When our refrigerator door fell off, luckily it only grazed my husband. It hit him on the shoulder but he was walking away from it. But it did damage my covered and wood floor. Theres also a big gouge out of my cabinet doors which Ive had somebody come to look at and theres no way that it can be fixed. It has to be replaced. Some of the boards on the floor have to be replaced too which means that they have to redo my whole floor because its an open hardwood floor. In their email to us, Viking said that they wanted our homeowners to do it. I checked with my homeowners and found that its going to raise my insurance. We have a $1500 deductible. So Im in the process of getting bids to send to Viking. Im not happy about that part of it and if it had hurt my husband worse, theyd have a lawsuit on their hands. Also, I feel that we werent notified of this problem with the Viking and were lucky there wasnt any grandkids here.

I wouldnt recommend Viking Ranges. We got it because of the brand reputation and the style. However, we have an oven that takes about 45 to 50 minutes to preheat to 350. We called Viking Ranges and they told us who to call. Then when we called the people out here in Los Angeles who are the authorized service reps, the rep thought it was normal. The second time we called was when the rep was really informative and checked with the service tech. She confirmed that it is normal to take that long for the oven to preheat. I went right to the stores. I wish someone would confirm that sounds too long. It seems like there would be way too many complaints to get away with that. We rarely use it but aside from the oven, the range also has a range top which is great.

The developer of the house I was building in South Carolina chose Viking appliances and I was thrilled when that was the choice. Theyre so well built and top of the line. Thus far, Ive had time to play with my Viking Range. With my oven, there is an option to use either standard baking or convection. And so, the popovers that I usually make are ready in half the time and they are perfect. The adjustable oven racks and the fact that the range has six burners have been my favorite features. We purchased a home with a Viking range and dishwasher. We have lived here five years and we have our dishwasher serviced at least once a year. Wires continue to burn up. Weve placed major parts and the pump, and last night something in the front panel started a fire and melted a hole in the inside metal. We had a house full of smoke, but thankfully we were home before the kitchen went up in flames. Weve already spent the cost of the washer in repairs and will not even call a technician this time. We will be buying a new dishwasher, but never again a Viking appliance. Our range has not had all the same problems, but the igniters are unreliable. The oven takes 1/2 hour to reach the desired temperature. The door is heavy and were just waiting for it to break. The writing has worn off in many places on the knob panel. These are just not problems you expect from high end appliances.I do not recommend Viking. They are not worth the money and their customer service department is entirely useless.

We were at Best Buy looking at a different refrigerator brand and there was a wonderful Viking refrigerator on sale there because it was being discontinued. We ended up buying it and it’s been an outstanding product. I like that it’s huge compared to any that I’ve had in the past. I don’t currently have the Viking range but I had one in Chicago, and that is another reason why we looked at Viking. However, I’ve had some problems with the ice-maker so we had some service going recently. Customer service had to order some parts for me so it’s not fixed yet. But overall it’s a wonderful product if you’re able to afford it.

I have Viking in other homes, and this time, they were running a rebate which was a considerable amount of money. Also, Viking was acquired by another company and word on the street was their quality issues had been fixed. I also looked at Wolf and Thermador and read horrendous reviews about them, but they’re great products too. Ultimately the price point made the big difference for me and I bought a range from Viking. The qualitys pretty good. Upon unboxing and installation, there were two burners that were inoperable so that was not a good start. I then got a service call in and haven’t heard anything from them and it’s been two weeks. But I have been able to use it. I like the rapid heat oven which is very nice. I also like the true convection oven portion of it. It has three different convection modes, but the true conduct is very nice. And the overall appearance was very sharp. The dealer was good too. I did most of my research online and I have a rep that I used. I simply called him and said, “Order it.” Its a great product, well-made craftsmanship, and a value in the realm of high end, other than the burners. But I thought that may have been a shipping issue.

Purchased Viking 48 wide by side in 2002. Compressor went out within 6 months, thankfully was under warranty. There was a door recall a few years later AND then another recall for those doors! The company that replaced the doors are familiar with Viking fridges and were able to to be somewhat helpful, suggesting we not place anything within 8 inches of any of the interior vents. We have NEVER been able to get the temp right. We have never been able to keep our fruits and veggies in the produce drawers as they become frozen. If we turn the temp down the milk goes bad, etc. Several of interior the plastic parts have broken under normal use: handle portion of ice maker drawer broke off in my hand, lid of bottom meat/produce drawer snapped off. Now the fridge lights have gone out (all simultaneously.) Try going to the Viking site to find a manual or worse yet parts. Everything there is SO difficult! They sent us a manual and I was able to download two, but none of them show the same control panel as what we have, since when there was a door recall, we received a new control panel as well... I feel sorry for the people that work for Viking. I will never purchase another Viking product. We purchased a high end Thermador range and KitchenAid Micro-Convection oven the same year and have had no problems with those appliances!

The resident asked us to replace the fridge because it’s giving him fits and he’s a VIP. This is a penthouse unit, which is why we went with Viking appliances. Now, we’re waiting on a mainboard and a defrosting panel and waiting on parts is very frustrating.Ive had some difficulties with dishwashers too. Its not so much the quality of the manufacturing as it may be how they were installed, unpacked. Some of the soundproofing and gasketing on the bottom of the dishwashers have fallen off. Theyre also a little too high tech for our residents. We had people do a lot of research on how to use the dishwasher.

I like the ease of cleaning it. When something bubbles or spills over the cooktop, its easy to clean it. There arent a lot of grooves where food can get stuck in. I love Viking but the range that I got have been serviced already because of the ovens. The sensors on the temperature controls were popping off and now, it doesn’t hold a constant temperature. It constantly clicks all the time and re-lights. Id have to call back in on it again and get it fixed. But for the most of it, its been okay. But I wasnt too happy with the salesperson from the Viking dealer. When you spend $20,000 with somebody for your appliances in your kitchen, you would think youd get a little faster response out of people. Ive left messages with him for over a week and never been contacted back. Also, the appliances at the house weren’t installed properly. I had to call back on that. Also, I went by the details that Viking put out for the measurements on building cabinets and your measurement. If I built one to those measurements, wherein on the top side, behind the LED instrument panel was a little bracket that was screwed in to protect the controls and that little notch out was an inch high by 10-inches across, and there was no way I could put the microwave in that opening. It still got to be notched out that inch by 12-inches to get it in there. Its a mis-drawing on the diagram. Viking needs to look at those details and make sure everythings correct cause the installers wanted to knock out my stalls on the cabinet. But my cabinets werent screwed and nailed. Mine were dowels and biscuits cut together and glued. If he had knocked that stall out of that cabinet, he would have ruined that cabinet.

My sister has a Wolf range and Ive seen friends of mine who has a Viking. I did my research and I ended up buying a Viking. Its just a sexy looking machine and I like its power and the way it cooks. Its probably the best in the market. However, when I cleaned the range, I did not know that there was a special way to put the pots back on to control the gas. And so, I wasnt too happy at first. But when the guy came out, he showed me what I was doing wrong. And so, right now, I like the range. However, its ridiculous that they have a Viking product through Best Buy. It was three days before Thanksgiving when the installer was to put the range into my kitchen and I noticed that my range wasnt the right range. The specs that I gave them was from the guy at Best Buy. It was the correct specs but that guy ordered the wrong range. And so, Best Buy lucked out because it could have been a disaster with the guy that was remodeling my kitchen because he put in new cabinets. I would suggest that if Viking is going to continue to use Best Buy, they should train their people to benefit Viking because Viking is a really wonderful product. But the Best Buy people in Buford have lied. They wind up doing me right towards the end but two of their employees lied about it and I have no tolerance for that. But I will still buy another Viking range if my range holds up to par. If it does anything like my blower did, I probably would not buy another one. But I have not had any problems yet.

We were remodeling our house and I needed a bigger refrigerator. Viking was one of the better ones on the market so we got their 48-inch refrigerator. We also ended up getting all Viking appliances (a range, a hood, and a stove) because I wanted to stay with the same brand for resale purposes. However, we’ve only bought the refrigerator in November and in February, the mechanism that defrosts the coils in the freezer went out, and trying to get that fixed was not pleasant. I called Viking on a couple occasions and they said they had three contractors for us but two of them didn’t service refrigerators down in South Florida. The third company sent a guy out and he said he’ll defrost it. I told him we’ve been defrosting it every other day for a month while waiting for him to come out. He said “Well, I got to try this anyway and if it doesn’t work then call us back.” He defrosted it and two days later, it was icing over again. So I called the company back and they said I needed to replace the mechanism that defrosts it. They have it back ordered and I had to wait another month for them to get the part. I spent two months with a $10,000 refrigerator and I had to take a heat gun every other day and defrost the coils in the freezer so I wouldnt lose everything in it.After the mechanism went out, my husband read on forums that our refrigerator’s issue is a common Viking problem. And the tech they sent out didn’t speak English, which is fine because I speak Spanish. I kept asking, “Well, what is actually the problem?” And he said, “Well, it just needs to be defrosted.” He wanted me to sign all these forms and I said, “Look, I am not paying for this because this should be under my extended warranty that I paid for.” He said I had to sign it and that’s the only time I got him to tell me what he thought was wrong with our fridge. When I had to call back, I told them not to send the same guy but they did. He had no social skills. He didn’t even introduce himself when he showed up and left without saying anything. I had to track him outside the driveway and ask if it was already fixed. He said, “Well, just watch it. If it frosts over again then you’re gonna have to call another service ticket on it.”Though the Viking dealers were nice and helpful, the service could be way better. The number that I was provided for servicing in my purchase packet was redirecting me to the store so I had to call them and try to find servicing for it. I sat on hold trying to get someone for almost an hour to answer the phone. If I’m gonna be on hold for a long time, they should send my call to a voicemail and call me back. Other than the mechanism going out in less than a year, everything else has worked beautifully. The refrigerator keeps my fruits and vegetables fresher way longer than the last refrigerator we had. I liked that I always have space in it, and I also love the other appliances that we bought. I wouldn’t recommend the refrigerator for the price, but the other appliances, I would.

I have a 120 year old Queen Anne with a beautiful Chefs Kitchen filled with all Viking Appliances. I have 500 to 600 people visit and touring this historic Victorian house on an annual basis. The 36 Viking Refrigerator stopped cooling both the refrigeration and freezer sections. I contacted the local high-end appliance center, and was told by them, that they no longer work with Viking because of their very poor service of there appliances, especially their refrigerators. I spoke with all other neighbors in our mansion district and was told the same thing. So, this was shocking because I own a complete set of Viking appliances in my beautiful kitchen.Nevertheless, I decided to find out myself, what experience of service I would get by contacting Viking. Well... the person on their (1866) toll free number, kind of summed it up as exactly like I was warned. The unhelpful person referred me to the closest authorized service company 75 minutes away, which after calling twice and not hearing back, lead me to believe I was dealing with a truly amateur company. I am highly thinking of changing-out ALL the Viking appliances to a more professional manufactures.

However, I have issues with the dishwasher because it takes two hours to do what a normal one does. Also, the keyboard is not customer-friendly. There are a lot of buttons to push and usually, it takes a while for it to get to the program it needs to be washed. On the other hand, I love the refrigerator, oven and microwave. I wish the ice maker is larger but everything I have is good and I just have to master using the dish machine. The Viking dealer did a great job. They walked me through, helped me to get a credit line and delivered when they said they were gonna do it, so I was very pleased with them I appreciate everything Viking has done and I will recommend them to friends.

Have had a Viking range for 12 years and have been unhappy for 10 years. Bought it after much research, but unfortunately there were few reviews at that time and features seemed to be the best. Well, it is a piece of junk! It takes 30 minutes to heat. The door does not close right despite having 3 service calls regarding this issue. The self-clean only worked once and would never lock again. I hate this stove, but really hurts to throw away since it cost so much.

When we were searching for a range, some people were trying to sell me Wolf, Thermador, and Bertazzoni. There were some other brands they were telling me and I didn’t like what I was hearing. They were also telling me not to buy Viking but I stuck with my plan to either buy Wolf or Viking. I looked at Wolf first but then I didn’t like what some people were telling me about Wolf. They have good equipment but the price was extremely high. Then I found a guy who was willing to negotiate the prices so I decided to go with Viking. He did a really great job. He brought out all kinds of brochures that he had and gave it to me for me to look into it. Im gonna go back to his place because we are also interested in buying a refrigerator and we want to go with Viking. My wife and I are really happy with the Viking equipment that we bought. Everything’s working very well and we love that. Viking is the best.

We moved into a new house and my wife originally wanted a Sub-Zero but we couldn’t afford that so she decided that the Viking was the coolest looking, most durable, best line of refrigerators to look at. We got a new model and we’re really happy with it overall. We like its look and the solid feel. However, there were just a few cosmetic problems with it. It was a new model and they hadn’t worked out the bugs. When they installed the handles on it for all the different doors, screwing the screws too hard puts a dent in the stainless steel. But if they don’t do it hard enough, they loosen and start falling off. Also, there’s a bar handle and these connectors that they have to screw on don’t match the surface of the fridge very well. When they put it on, there’s an 8th or 16th of an inch gap between that little thing and the handles if they don’t put it on right. They finally figured out how to do it and got new parts. We’ve had to have the repair guys come out four times for those handles and ended up replacing a whole front piece of the refrigerator. The freezer is the one that we got to pull right from the middle. If we pull from the side, it screws it up. We were pulling it right and it just came out. Their staff didn’t give us any hassle. In fact, the last time the handle pulled of, it was past the one year but they always call someone to come out and fix it which we really appreciate. They kept doing whatever it took to get it right. The last guy that fixed it put some super-duper glue where the screw goes in and since then, everything is good but we had to go through all that rigmarole. Viking needs to work out the handle for this model and make sure when people put it on, it doesn’t dent the surface stainless steel because that takes away the beauty of the whole thing.

The quality of the Viking Range is fantastic. I already have one and I wanted another one. I like the light above the knobs. Its pretty awesome. I dont have it on my old one, but we just got the new one. The customer service at the designer show has been really good, too. However, we have had a problem with the oven temperature. Ive had a technician come out and it wasnt resolved the first time so Im waiting for them to call me back and see if they can resolve the issue. It would also be nice if there was more information on troubleshooting oven temperature for owners, if thats possible, or just a little bit more explanation on how the ovens work and how theyre a little quirky. Nevertheless, its such a beautifully made stove. The racks didnt slide out. Its a great piece of equipment.

When I bought the house, a Viking range was already here. I had to have a repair done on it and they quickly put me in touch with the service repair person in my area. They seem very professional. The repair person then came out and replaced the door because it’s not shutting correctly. He then told me to use the self-clean feature because that would warp the door and burn off the electricals. The quality of this range is good overall, and the big gas burner in the middle is my favorite.

I bought my home 2 1/2 yrs ago with a really beautiful kitchen. All appliances are Viking and the agent kept telling me they are the best products on the market. We have the two drawer pull out dishwashers. From the time we bought the house they do not clean anything properly. I have had technicians out various times, some telling us that cascade powder doesnt work and we must use gel capsules. Even if we wash the dishes thoroughly before they dont come out clean. I need them to work as they match everything in my kitchen. My viking microwave also doesnt work properly so I just use it to reheat. This house was remodelled around 5 yrs ago and from the time we moved in it was terrible. Who needs to clean dishes thoroughly before putting them in the dishwasher to find them still marked when you take them out. My daughter has the same crockery set and has a cheap dishwasher and hers come out spotless. Please someone help me as I need everything to match in my kitchen. Viking service are a waste of time and money. Thanks.
