Heil Furnace Repairs
If you're looking for help fixing your Heil Furnace, look no further! Our comprehensive Heil Furnace repair guide will explain common issues, provide tips, and maybe show you how to repair your appliance.
Heil manufactures appliances that homeowners have come to trust. Even a trustworthy appliance requires occasional maintenance or repair, however. If you’re in need of Heil appliance repair from experienced professionals, your local Appliance Helper can help.
Heil Furnace not heating
The igniter gets very hot and glows bright orange to light the gas burner. If the igniter fails or cracks, the furnace won’t heat. To determine if the igniter is faulty, remove the igniter and inspect it for cracks. If the igniter is cracked, replace it. If the igniter is not cracked, use a multimeter to test the igniter for continuity. If the igniter does not have continuity, replace it.
Heil Furnace is noisy or loud
The blower wheel blows air out of the furnace and through the house. The blower wheel is attached to the blower motor shaft with a set screw. If the set screw is loose, the blower wheel will wobble on the motor shaft, and the wheel will be noisy as it turns. Check the set screw to ensure that it is properly tightened. Next, inspect the wheel for damage. If the blower wheel is damaged, replace it.
Heil Furnace starts then stops
The flame sensor monitors the burner to detect whether or not a flame is present. If the flame sensor is defective, it might fail to detect a flame. If the flame sensor does not detect a flame, the control board will shut off voltage to the gas valve to prevent the furnace from heating. Sometimes, if the flame sensor is dirty, it will fail to detect a flame. Try cleaning the flame sensor with a fine abrasive pad. If the furnace still doesn’t heat, replace the flame sensor.
Heil Furnace blower not running
The blower motor blows air through the return vent, past the heat exchanger, and into the home’s venting. First, make sure that power is getting to the motor. If power is getting to the blower motor, but the motor does not run, the motor may be burned out. If the blower motor is burned out, replace it. If the blower motor hums, check the blower fan to ensure that it spins freely. If the blower fan is unobstructed but does not spin freely, replace the blower motor.
Heil Furnace blower runs all the time
The control board has relays that regulate the voltage to each component in the furnace. If the relay that controls the blower motor fails while it is closed, it will send continuous voltage to the blower motor, causing the motor to run continuously. If the control board is at fault, replace it.

Heil Furnace maintenance
I purchased this furnace around six years ago. It is efficient, simple, works well but it is a bit expensive as compared to other brands. However, I cannot complain much about the price because compared to the performance of the unit, the price is reasonable and I see now that I got value for my money. The furnace runs quietly with little or no noise at all and I have not done any repairs or replacements. I can say that I am happy with this unit. The only thing I would like to stress to other users is that they should have a qualified Technician install their furnace or else they will have problems. I would buy this brand again if I ever need one.
I have owned a Heil furnace for about twelve years. I purchased new together with my house when I moved in. So far it’s operating efficiently, and it’s very reliable. The only thing I have done on my furnace has changed the filters and no other major repairs. I also did a replacement of the converter at the AC unit compressor outside that is not necessarily part of my furnace. I had a technician inspect my furnace recently, and he confirmed that it is still running like a new one. It is as well very efficient, and my heating bill has dropped drastically I would recommend this brand to anyone to purchase one.
After numerous research for the best gas furnace regarding price and performance finally settled for this model. I met a contractor who took me through all the specifications of this model and then installed the unit for me. My experience with Heil has been great, and I would buy this brand again and again. I have had my f for five years now, and no single repair plus the unit runs without the noise, you can barely hear it or notice whether it’s functioning or not. You know what he was right; I haven’t had a problem with mine for years.
The low price is what attracted me into buying this model which I have owned for about four and a half years now. The stainless steel secondary heat exchanger is of high quality. With this unit, I saved money on this equipment and still got high efficiency not forgetting the double stage valve and motor giving reliable performance. The unit is economical in the long run, and I would buy this brand again.
Heil's major strength is that it delivers on pricing and affordability. They also have a wide range of energy-efficient furnaces that are ideal for both residential and small commercial use.
