After a search of all the local AC repair shops, I called this one, because it was the only one that had a review from an Elite Yelper. Basically all the other locals have a lot of reviews, and a lot of positives, but the accounts are suspicious, with few friends and only a handful if not only 1 review. Northern Continental was the first with some believable and useful comments. So I set up an appointment online and was immediately contacted by Tess, to share more info and set a date and time. Tess was patient and helpful and was able to answer many of he preliminary questions I had. Based on this experience, the business felt legitimate and worth proceeding further. Eric came to the house as scheduled. He diagnosed the capacitor and fan motor in about 10 minutes. He walked me through the why's and how's and gave me options and fair prices. The cost came up very fair, based on my researching local competitors. Eric was professional, polite, knowledgeable, customer focused, and he got the job done in less than an hour. As a contractor, I love installing Napoleons. Contrary to the 1 And 2 start reviews these furnaces are not loud unless you have a improper installation. Every time I install the 9600 the customers comment on the quite operation compared to the last furnace. I have yet to have any problems because my installs are proper. Every complaint I see in the 2 star rating is nothing less than a poor install. The over heating is because the fan speed is set too low or the return air is choked up probably because of a filter that is too restrictive or need changing or the installation was not cut out enough. Or the home owner does not clean his ducting and the high limit and heat exchanger is filthy. Again it has nothing to do with the product the Napoleon 9600 is a great product in my opinion they are the best furnaces out there and I have install many different brands.Arc plumbing.INC

After getting many different quotes from several different companies in my search to replace my 17 year old system, I finally decided to go with the Comfortmaker brand. Its been two years now, and I couldn't be happier! I went with the variable speed/inverter option for my home. In my search, I read countless reviews from all the top brands out there.. I realized in my search more people will leave a "bad" review rather than a "good" one. Its like when you go out to eat, and have a horrible experience. The first thing you want to do when you get home, is leave a bad review. Same thing applies here. This system pulls so much moisture out of the air! I can leave my thermostat at 77 degrees and 52% humidity and it feels amazing, and that's here in Houston, Texas. The house feels crisp/clean/enjoyable to be in, its a hard feeling to describe, but I'm very happy I went with Comfortmaker brand and the Variable speed full system. Being HVAC technician, I have installed this unit on some my clients, and all I can stress is that it is a good unit as long as the installation process is performed by someone who perfectly knows when he is doing and not just anyone. The mistake that many users do is to install a unit without the help of an expert, this leads to poor installation, and the unit starts having problems too early, and some do not even end. Proper installation of any unit is essential if you want your furnace to last long enough. The only bad thing I had with this unit is the unit being a little noisy; the manufacturer should do something about the noise. I purchased this gas furnace model about four years ago for my old uncle, and then he is yet to have any problems with this furnace model. We all know the Ultra series is quite expensive but according to my experience, the quality is worth the high price. Most expensive products tend to be of high quality and also last longer.
