Product Reviews:

I bought my first centennial washer less than four years ago, warrantied that machine out. It was replaced by best buy because of the warranty that I purchased. We are a family of four, with that in mind the replacement machine was a model year newer and it last just over a year and quit. I bought the machine anticipating that it will last me the next 10 years. With two children at home now that is not working, all I have to do on replace a new machine. The repair shop has told me that they get more of the Maytag centennial machines and then any other washing machine is going to cost me more to repair it than to buy a new machine because I had faith in the Maytag products for many many years. This particular machines are extremely hard to diagnose as to what causes the problem or what the problem is and could take a long time to get it fixed as well as the expense of getting it fixed. I would not recommend another Maytag product nor will Maytag ever get any more money from us. This particular product has become a piece of junk that I can't even get rid of to recycling. Maytag has become a joke and this machine has become a 500 dollar hunk of junk in my opinion.

My husband and I purchased a FisherPaykel washer from Lowes approximately 4 years ago. We had not heard of FisherPaykel and were a little reluctant to purchase one. The salesman was knowledgeable about the product and sold us on the manufacturer. We have been happy with the product until recently. I am still uncertain as to what is wrong with my machine, only knowing that it no longer drains the water. I have contacted FisherPaykel twice - once to see if it is covered by a warranty and second to find a service company. I still have a washer that does not work, and the company they referred will not service the washer unless it was purchased from them. I am very disappointed in this product and the service.

I have a brand new Whirlpool washer (Model WFW9640XW). It has been broken for 3 of the five weeks I have owned it. The Whirlpool cusotmer care cannot get me a working part in order to fix the machine. I am being told that I just have to wait until they find the part, with no end in sight. I am held hostage now that they have my money. I am told there is nobody I can talk to to break this impasse.

The performance is great, not a single problem with it. Everyone should buy this washer. Kenmore washers are amazing. Its reliability is great. It's just perfect. Not a single problem with it. I’m happy with it, so is my mom and soon to be wife loves it too. I love the front loading white washers. They are really dependable and work fine. Beyond that I think that the sound is incredibly quiet and efficient. I'd say that it is a very good piece of technology. It is a highly valuable item and I was very happy when I was able to purchase it at a great price!

My machine is only 14 months old and will not even turn on. I opened the lid, and the tub was filled with water and the wet clothes sitting in there. There were only 6 items in there: 3 school skirts and 3 school pants, dripping wet. So I unplugged the unit to try and clear the circuit board - to no avail. The machine will still not turn on. The lights are on, the sensor turns on for about 3 seconds and shut off and everything just sits there. I did not get the extended warranty. My mom still has her Maytag she bought 30 years ago and it's running like a champ. Wish I could say the same. I gave my sister my old Maytag - it's 25 years old and its still running like a champ. This machine is a LEMON. I will never buy another Maytag again. I am so done with this brand. I hope that a Class Action suit is filed against them.

I purchased a brand new washing machine and had service come to repair the machine approximately five times within the first year. Every time the machine was repaired, it was for different reasons. I contacted the main office and spoke to a woman named Sherry who is a supervisor and she was very nasty. This is a brand new machine and I feel that it should be replaced with a new one. Sherry said that there was nothing she can do for me. Is there a lemon law for appliances? The machine is used for my son and me only. I have all appliances in my house by General Electric and this is my first and last experience with Whirlpool.

We purchased this washing machine over a 1-1/2 ago for nearly $1,000. It is so poorly designed that I cannot put more than 3 towels in at a time or it goes off balance. Numerous tech visits, to no avail. Do not purchase one of these machines!

My 4-year old Whirlpool Cabrio (model WTW6600SW2) has gone out. It cost almost $300 just for the part to repair. It was lightly use; the average use was about three-four loads a week. That's almost half the cost of what the whole machine will cost if new. I am irate. The customer service was no help. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again..

Buy this washer! It has the best features! No matter what the setting, your clothes will come out as dirty as you put them in, only with even more odor! I just cannot believe how many different settings they managed to program into this washer, each one delivering the same miserable results. I am so happy that I spent so much money on a washing machine, that in some cases, doesn't even get my clothes wet. Truly amazing technology!

I had these appliances when my family was young (in diapers through grade school), and found them to be reliable and dependable. They were purchased more than 30 years ago in Columbus, NE and I chose them because the laundromat had that brand. I remember there was an extra prewash cycle that worked well for doing cloth diapers. I really liked the prewash cycle for rinsing diapers before doing their regular wash cycle. Alas! Few people use cloth diapers anymore! Then, as my sons got older, and into sports, I found the prewash cycle handy for tough, messy dirt and spills on their clothes. But when we moved to Sheboygan WI, we decided we would buy new appliances rather than move the ones that were over eight years old. The store in Sheboygan did not carry the Speed Queen brand.
