Product Reviews:

My washer's performance has been great. It gets the job done. It has lasted longer than any other brand. It cleans the biggest material, which would be my comforter. It had endured one of my king size comforter and a number of occasions. Also has endure tons of clothes piled on high without ever messing up. It is white with easy to read settings. I like how the controls are easy to read and adjust if needed to be changed on a different setting, due to the clothing difference. It was/is my price range for the right amount of size and settings for my family. It has held up to its value so many times and I see a few more years with it as well.

We had a Sub-Zero and then we decided to try a Viking. We wanted a freezer on the bottom rather than the side to side, and it’s stainless steel. However, we’ve had some problems with the freezer as it stopped working. Somebody came in and defrosted the drain line or whatever that gets clogged up with a hair dryer. We had to spend about $400 to $500 to get that fixed as it was out of the warranty. Also, I'm not all that impressed with the set up for the authorized repair. We called customer service, and the repair people are coming again tomorrow. But it’s like I’m talking to somebody where I got a phone bank somewhere, and it’s not a local business. For one thing, we can’t find the stupid model number or the serial number. They’re underneath somewhere strange in the back of the freezer, and one can’t get down there to see it. Also, the other day, one of those bookcases with the sliding shelves on the door broke apart for no reason. I had to order from Viking a new one for a couple hundred dollars for half of one of those bookcase sliding units. It’s so stupid that I’m trying to get that plastic. This unit just broke apart for no reason, and then I’m trying to go find the model number and the serial number so that I could talk intelligently with Viking support, and I can’t get it. The only way I found it was to go back to the original invoice from ABW who were the people who get all the appliance for us when we were renovating the kitchen. Other than having these incidents, Viking is a good refrigerator and we like it.

We received delivery of our gas range on August 20, 2015, over a week ago. I have only cooked on it three times. Each time I was unable to clean the stainless steel front and stove top. Also, the knobs are very loose and just a small pressure can activate the gas, which I find unacceptable, especially around children. I wish to return this gas range and replace it with another which is not dangerous.

Saved up to purchase a Samsung side by side French door refrigerator. What a disappointment. We didn't have it two years before we had problems. The ice maker stopped working and started dripping water into the refrigerator. We had to pay out of pocket to get ice maker repaired. The technician said he's had numerous calls for that same problem in Samsung refrigerators. He told us we had an "expensive paper weight". That repair lasted about 90 days. Again the ice maker stopped working. We decided we couldn't afford that expensive service call; we'd do without the ice maker. The refrigerator started making aloud roaring noise; the inside refrigerator temp. down to the low fifties. We had toss out food. We couldn't endure it anymore. Our stimulus check was used to buy another refrigerator. We are both handicapped and can't shop daily for food; especially during this epidemic. I'm totally disgusted. I feel like we've been swindled especially since Samsung know about this problems with their refrigerators. Unfortunately; we also have a Samsung stove and dishwasher. We'd purchased all three appliances at the same time. The stove temperature isn't regulated correctly. I always have to use an oven thermometer to keep from burning my food when I bake. I'd never buy another Samsung appliance. Never!

The refrigerator was well-built, simple and before we had to replace it, it lasted quite a while to what I imagined the normal life of a refrigerator should be especially with so many people in and out constantly for food or ice. Towards the end it didn't stay as cold, especially not when actually filled. Had to rearrange the refrigerator periodically, but overall very roomy. Held enough to readily feed 5 people daily, 2 of which usually had to have their own meals. The refrigerator has no fancy gadgets but easy to clean.

My Whirlpool super capacity 465 started flaking out on the temperature and burned our dinner. I had a repairman over to repair which he did after about 3 hours of testing. Less than 6 months later it did the same thing. Overheating in the oven.

We purchased this range NX58J770SS/AS on the first week of November 2018. That week I worked late all week and didn't use the oven. The next week went on vacation. So back Thanksgiving week, cooked the Turkey and after that may have used the oven 3 or 4 times. So on Dec 18 I decided to bake croutons, top part of oven 400 degree, with about 3 tablespoon of oil on a baking sheet. After 10 min. thought they were done, shut the oven off. Then decided to put them in again for more crunch, turned the oven on. Turned around and in seconds the smoke alarms go off, and look in the oven and blazing flames coming from oven. Turned oven off and thank God my husband had a fire extinguisher out in the garage! Smoke was bad and now white stuff everywhere. Of course called service in the morning, and told them the same story. They sent a repairman Dec 24, took pictures and video for the technician people. I didn't get an answer from them by the end of that week, so I called them to see what their answer was. Their answer was is cosmetically injured. Ask them what that meant, there was oil on the back part of the oven. I said first it was cooked off. And 3 tablespoon of oil would of not caused a blazing flames. So now I have an oven that was told not to use by the repairman, and the people we purchased the oven from. The person I talked to said that was their decision, and end of that story. First I cook for a living and never saw a brand new oven cause that type of flame!

My oven was a lemon from day one. The light bulb would not light, the oven would not come on. Had the repairman in cause it was under warranty, he replaced the gas valve. A month later the same thing happened, the oven did not light. Have been putting up with this for a little over a year, it is finally off warranty. Same thing happens, you go to cook something and it will not light, then the oven door broke! We had to pay to have a new hinge installed. Whoever heard of a oven door breaking? I have had ovens 40 years old and they still work and the door doesn't break. Needless to say, my oven is still doing the same thing, lights sometimes and other times does not. Called Whirlpool several times, they are nasty and won't stand behind anything. Customer service says there is no lemon law for stoves. I will not ever buy another Whirlpool anything and that is not a threat but a PROMISE.

This is the first and last time that I will purchase any products from Samsung. I purchased 4 appliances on April 14, 2019. I called because I needed repair to my range. I have made multiple calls and yet not resolved. First call agent did not speak English well, no help there! Second call agent muffled could not understand at all, however, provided her with the necessary documents and info including serial number etc. Waited 24 hours and no call from repair company. Called them and again needed to submit necessary documents/receipt since they did not have. (Mind you the range belongs to my 86 year old mother and of course with the current healthcare crisis needs a range). The third agent basically reprimanded me for not having the appropriate info on my receipt such as serial number. The Home Depot receipt does not have the serial number on the receipt but it does state the items that were purchased (Samsung Kitchen Package). Now I called HD to obtain a full invoice and of course I will not have for a couple days which may have the potential of falling out of warranty. You can guarantee that I will be calling the Department of Aging to file a complaint especially with the current situation that the US is currently in. One would think that providing the supporting documentation would be enough to schedule a repair. Now an 86 year old is left without a range (especially since she is self-sheltered) for God knows how long. I welcome a call!

Beware of GE's scam! My new house came with a GE microwave oven model JVM1630. It no longer heats food so I called GE repair. Here's basically what they told me: It is likely the magnetron tube and it is still under warranty, so no charge to replace it but I would have to pay $99.95 for the repairman to come to my home to diagnose the problem. If I decided I didn't want to repair the microwave, I was offered a $100 coupon toward a new one but it had to be a GE and it had to be bought on their website only. If I decided to go ahead with the repairs, the $99.95 would be deducted from the bill and I would only have to pay for additional parts and labor. I repeatedly asked for a ball-park labor charge so I could make an informed decision as to whether it was cost effective to have the repairman come out or just get a brand new one elsewhere. The person on the repair line hung up on me! I called back and I was told the same thing; that no one could tell me what the labor cost estimate might be. I asked to talk to a supervisor and same story. I didn't schedule a repair because I was taking a long trip and wouldn't be using the microwave anyway. When I returned from my trip, I called GE repair and again they wouldn't give me a ball park figure. Frustrated, I decided to have the repairman just come out and repair the darn thing and an appointment was scheduled for the next Monday. I had to rearrange a Monday day trip to Wednesday and set the repair appointment. On Monday, it was starting to get late in the afternoon, so I called to find out if the guy was on his way. A recording said my call was noted and I would be receiving a follow-up call. About 10 minutes later, Kim in dispatch called to tell me she had to reschedule the repairman to Wednesday. I explained I already had an appointment on Wednesday. which was already changed because it conflicted with the repairman coming to my home. She told me the repairman couldn't come because his truck wasn't safe to drive so that whole day was shot. The appointment was rescheduled for Wednesday and I had to again reschedule my other trip. When the guy finally showed up on Wednesday, he told me to put a glass of water in the microwave and start it. Ten seconds later, he declared it to be the magnetron tube. He was at my house about 10 minutes, just long enough to take my $99.95 credit card payment and to give me an estimate of $246.90 to repair the microwave which included the free magnetron tube, a $20 part plus tax and labor. The estimate had instructions on how to get the $100 coupon if I decided to buy a new GE microwave, which he said is what most people do. He didn't seem like he came prepared to repair the microwave at all. I was so frustrated and already out the $99.95, so I told him to go ahead and repair it. He said I should call repair to schedule him to come back to repair it! I told him to just repair it now and he said he didn't think he had a magnetron tube in his truck. I asked him if he would go to the truck and check! He did, and nope, no tube and he left.I think this is a great scam GE and maybe others have going. It's entrapment. They get you to accept a repairman to come to your home and charge you nearly $100 for it, but give you a coupon for $100 for a new one but it has to be a GE and can only be bought from their website where they can go as high as $500 or $600. By the way, I got on the website to find a replacement. My model had been discontinued and the only one in my price range was also a discontinued model. They charge $75 to come out to install it and another $30 to take away your old one. I called local appliance stores to see if I could unload my old microwave for parts and they all said the same thing: stay away from GE products.
