We bought a Bosch oven 4 years ago. The self-clean function didnt work the first time we tried as there was something wrong with the door hinges. This wasnt under warranty. We always found that the oven took a long time to cook things, but didnt really give it a second thought. There was also a mystery screw that magically appeared in the warming drawer one day. 9 days ago, the glass on the door spontaneously exploded into thousands of pieces while baking at a relatively low heat. We called Bosch and scheduled service for last Wednesday. Needless to say, they refused to accept responsibility as we are beyond our warranty period. As I took apart the glass, I discovered that the missing screw was one of the three holding the glass panel in place. This should never have just fallen out. I also noticed that the door closes much better than before. We are now 9 days without our oven and there is no sign of a Bosch technician! When I spoke to the Bosch rep, I asked how to register a complaint. He referred me to their web-site - but it only allows for 250 characters. Clearly, they dont want to hear about any problems. So much for expecting that a high end company might be interested in quality. Clearly, I wont be running out to buy any more Bosch appliances.

We used the self cleaning feature 1 time on our bottom wall oven. It exploded sending glass everywhere. I called Bosch. They were shocked and gave me a company to call to diagnose the problem. I finally heard back about a month and a half later! They were kind enough to tell me they were not going to cover it, even the repair company agreed with us. Horrible customer service!!!

Bought Bosch Range 3 years ago. With 55 years of cooking this is the worst stove I have ever had. Nothing works the way it should. Turn a back burner on and the front burner also gets warm. The largest burner gets too hot. The oven is worse. Cant cook anything on the bottom shelf, it burns everything on the bottom. Can only use the middle shelf but not over 350. I will never buy anything that has the Bosch name on it... Does not even desire one star.

Bosch Customer Service and Product disappointment! In June of 2017, in anticipation of our upcoming kitchen remodel we purchased a Bosch 800 Series 30” Dual Fuel Slide-in Range. Product HD18054U/C. As is often the case in remodels, there was a delay and the project wasn’t started until January 2018. The range was delivered on Feb. 27, 2018 and installed about ten days later. We experienced minor trouble when the keypad started randomly beeping. This happened within a year (early 2019) but we were told that we should unplug the stove, wait a bit, and plug it in again. This seemed to work for a time. We had several episodes but it was not a big problem to follow the “unplug” advice. The problem became significantly worse in March of this year, 2020, beeping at all hours of the day and night. We knew it would be expensive to repair it but finally called a service provider in May. I was charged a service call and the serviceman said he would order the new control panel, but added that I should contact customer service to ask if Bosch would help with the almost $800 cost that I incurred. After two calls and several replies/scans of documents to customer service, I anticipated a positive response. I was never told to WAIT to have the part replaced until I heard back from customer service. I did hear back on June 22nd. I was told that Bosch would do NOTHING. No compensation was offered. My claim was denied. I feel it is very unfair. It certainly seemed as though the “rules” changed during the game after I did everything I was asked to do, submitted all of the paperwork, etc. I am extremely disappointed in the range and in Bosch Customer Service.

Bought a Bosch Dishwasher from Currys; after a few weeks I felt it was not washing properly. I rang company sent out a repairman. He said its heating and the arms are turning so its fine. I showed him a stained mug which he took for examination. A few months later it still wasnt washing properly, rang again sent out another Bosch guy. He advised I should have bought elsewhere. Many phone calls to the UK followed. Finally UK said get onto Currys. I went into Currys and explained my situation: dishwasher doesnt wash properly and I cant used dishwasher tablets have to use powder. They were very helpful in the beginning but finally told me that Bosch UK said that their Engineer said it was fine. I have never dealt with such terrible Customer Services as in Bosch UK. They really dont have a clue but dont really want to know your problem. Sadly I have a Bosch washing machine and a Neff oven from the same house. I dread to think how they are going to pan out. It seems to me that Bosch will string you along until your warranty is gone. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM BOSCH OR NEFF AGAIN AND I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE PEOPLE TO DO THE SAME. They are operating under a good name which they achieved and their stuff is now very poor quality. My advice: do as my sister did, buy the cheapest out there it really cant be any worse.

After the cleaning, we noticed that large to medium specks of grease were embedded in the glass of the oven door. A Bosch representative came and took a look. He said it was a function of the oven. We called customer service and elevated the call to a supervisor who said the same thing and if we wanted to clean the glass, we would have to pay for that ourselves. I am writing this because this was an expensive combined oven (microwave and regular oven). Had I known of this issue, I would have purchased a different oven. Weve had self-cleaning ovens for 47 years in four different homes and never had a similar issue.

WALL OVEN: I bought Bosch Benchmark appliances for my home. I am now on the 4th repair for the wall oven (exact same problem all 4 times) in a year and still Bosch hasnt figured out theres a problem with this oven. All 4 times when the oven stopped working I was without the use of my oven for 20-25 days waiting for repairmen, parts or be ordered, etc. 80 days in total so far in less than a year that I have not had the use of my oven, and counting. AND to make matters worse, the only time I use this oven is when I have guests, the rest of the time for myself and my husband to make small meals we use the smaller speed oven. So, 4 times in less than a year there has been multiple guests in my home for dinner parties, and the oven has stopped working. Add all those people up and youll see how many people have walked away with a bad opinion about Bosch appliances. Not to mention that at each dinner, because my oven stopped working, I had to resort to ordering in for my guests and all the fresh fish and chicken etc that I had bought to prepare for my guests had to be frozen because I knew Id be without my oven for another 20-25 days before I could bake it.SPEED OVEN: I also have the Bosch benchmark speed oven, that too has had one repair in less than 6 months of being installed, same problem as what I had on the wall oven. Thankfully the speed oven got repaired and seems to have been working fine ever since (knock on wood). COOKTOP: I also have a Bosch induction cooktop. No problems as of yet with that. Im keeping my fingers crossed but Im scared to death because my trust in Bosch is so very low.I have told everyone that comes in my home and raves about my gorgeous kitchen renovation DO NOT EVER BUY BOSCH. And most of them have seen it first hand now how bad the appliances are because theyve all been at my home at one time or another in the past year and seen the oven fail in front of their own eyes. So Ive got lots of witnesses and sadly Bosch has lots of people who know to never buy their appliances. 2 of the families who were at my house in the past year and saw the wall oven stop working, have now done their own kitchen renovations and both of them made a choice NOT to buy Bosch because they said they would not take the chance seeing all the problem I had with mine.I have kept a detailed journal of all my repairs, dates, time, conversations, videos, etc. Because I am fairly certain that I will end up suing the retailer and/or Bosch for breach of warranty/contract and for not disclosing material facts prior to my purchase. But because its still under extended warranty Im going to keep letting them repair it as many times as they want, and I will keep my journal and history so that shortly before the warranty wears out I will then sue and force them to give me a full refund... I cannot accept a replacement oven because Bosch does not have another wall oven that could be installed in my kitchen without me doing a kitchen reno again (which is not going to happen).

I ordered a $3,300 Bosch double wall oven through Lowes in Feb. 2012 in preparation for our new kitchen in our new house. The oven was installed in May 2012 and I immediately noticed a defect in the surface of the interior panel of the door of the lower oven. I called Bosch for a service tech. They gave me the name of the closest person. He and his grandson came out on May 31st and said they had never seen an oven like that before. I told them not to work on it if they did not know how. They said they could put the new part on, but they didnt even know how to take the door off the lower oven. They ended up dropping it and shattering the layers of glass in the door all over my kitchen floor. I called Bosch and they said they would send the parts for a new door and have a tech from San Antonio come out to put the new door parts together. I was without an oven door for nine (9) weeks. Parts were sent separately in about six boxes. The tech from San Antonio came and got the boxes, and we took some in too. Finally, a teenage looking boy came with the so-called newly put together door. It rattled, had a sharp edge and a gap between the interior metal panel and the glass. I told him it was not right, but he insisted it was. We had to go out of town for three months, but I called the corporate secretary and told her about the poorly put together door and she said she would make sure we got a new door when we got back home in Dec. 2012. We have called repeatedly only to be told someone would be in touch with us very soon to make the necessary repairs. They now say they wont replace the door with a new one as they have been promising. They are terrible to work with and nothing is getting done. I will never buy another Bosch product and will tell anyone I meet not to buy their products.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Furniture & Appliance Mart in Madison, WI. This was delivered on 9/16/15 by them. The appliance was professionally installed by our own installer. We ate supper that night & then turned on the dishwasher. It went through one part of the cycle & started making a strange sound that just kept going. We looked at it & saw that we had an E-15 error. This means there is a water leak in the bottom pan. We tried to override & shut this off & could not, so we shut the dishwasher off at the breaker. We contacted Bosch Customer Service & they told us to do something we did not understand. They told us to call back in the morning. We called back the next morning (Thurs) at 8am. They told us Akrit would service this for us & would call us back within 24 hours. I waited around all day Friday & when they didnt call by 4pm, I called Akrit myself. They told me that Bosch never contacted them, but, after searching through something on-line, they found my service call. I told them the problem & Ashley contacted the tech directly & set me up by noon on Monday. The tech showed up on time on Monday & checked out the dishwasher. He did a thorough job & found a small leak in the left rear welded seam. Thats when the problems started. I have a list of times & people I spoke to, to no avail at Bosch customer service. Each one telling me that someone would get back to me within 24 hours. (Joke!) That never, ever happened once! Finally, by 2pm on Tuesday afternoon, we were able to talk to someone at Bosch to set a file (claim) with Bosch. They received a copy of our purchase & a copy of what the tech wrote & told us theyd get back to us within 24 hours. We called again on Wednesday morning. After my husband was told that the person in customer service would not get back to us until at least Thursday morning, we decided to take matters into our own hands. He went into the store of purchase, spoke to the manager, who contacted customer service at their corporate office. They apologized to us & set up a delivery, set-up and new dishwasher & are dealing with Bosch themselves. Bosch Customer Service, in my opinion, does not exist. By the way, our 2nd new dishwasher was delivered, setup & installed Friday afternoon & works wonderfully! This was done only because Appliance & Furniture Mart stepped in & took care of us, their customer. Bosch called us back around 4pm Friday, by the way, 3 days after we set up the claim.

In 2012 we purchased a Bosch dishwasher based on Consumer Reports Magazine. We bought the top of the line spending a lot of money for what we thought to be a good unit. Since installation we have had it fixed 3 times the first being for a power cord that failed but was a recall that Bosch covered. That part again failed 2 years later and had to be repaired again for the same failure as the first but at my cost. The latest was for a power control circuit board. The dishwasher would start appear to be running but after only 2 cycles would stop and indicate the dishes were clean. However no water ever entered. A search on the internet revealed that other models had the same problem and was involved in a recall. A workaround was to open and close the door after the 2nd cycle and the unit would then fill. I tried the workaround and it worked, indicating the same problem and was later confirmed by a repairman. I contacted Bosch, provided all requested documentation and was eventually told that our unit was not included in that recall and the best they could do was 20% of the replacement board cost which equated to $24.00, but wed have to pay for shipping and taxes which was $17.00. I thought we had bought a well built appliance from a reputable manufacturer but have been proven wrong. Their customer service is terrible and does nothing to HELP you. In the 7 years weve owned it half of the original purchase price has been in repairs. I would not recommend any Bosch appliance to anyone again nor would I buy one.

Our Bosch 800 gas slide-in range was purchased in late 2019, installed in February 2020 and the igniter failed in October 2021. One would hope that a new $2200 range would last longer than a year and a half before failing. We would have had to wait 30 days for service at hundreds of dollars cost, so I bought a new igniter and installed it so that we would have a working oven. Bosch was unwilling to reimburse us for the $105 igniter. I dont recommend Bosch.

I have had a Bosch microwave oven for a year and a half. In that time, it has broken down twice! The first time, Bosch repaired under warranty with no problems. The second complaint, they set up a warranty service call a week out from my reporting it failed. Repair date came and went. They said they were overbooked, but would be happy to put us on the list in a week from now. I asked to be put next in line and they said, We cant inconvenience our customers like that. We replaced our 20 yr old Maytag with a Bosch... it arrived the first week of Jan. 2015. I never liked how my dishes fit in it.... glasses tipped over and it was hard to fit in mugs and bowls. I noticed that there was an orange greasy residue near the door hinge after each cycle. I made it a practice to clean that area every time I emptied the machine. We used the Finish Powerballs and rinse agent. Our water heater is new and the water is very hot. Then I noticed a smell when drinking from a glass. This morning there was an odor from the machine when I went to empty it... nothing in the filter... Smelled like a wet dog. Returning machine.

I wish I had something good to say about my Bosch kitchen appliances. I redid my kitchen oven, cooktop, exhaust fan, microwave, and dishwasher with Bosch products. I lasted about a month with the dishwasher and told my husband I wasnt going to live the next five years with it. I replaced it with a Kenmore and couldnt be happier. The Bosch racks were terribly, inefficiently configured - that was my worst complaint. It smelled sour. The microwave is OK as far as doing the job, but its not handy in any way and is impossible to clean because for one thing I cant reach the back of it without a step stool. You have to put in the number of minutes and seconds every time you use it. The convection oven doesnt thrill me at all. My cookies turn out pasty and it doesnt seem to do anything any faster at any temperature.Same old oven as far as Im concerned. I bang my head on the exhaust fan whenever I try to see what is on the back burner. The burners on the cooktop are too big for the pots, except for the smallest ones. The knobs on the cooktop get very hot and are hard to adjust with a pot on them. Lets see if there is anything good I have to say. They look pretty, but the engineers who designed them have never even boiled water much less cooked a meal, and they have certainly never cleaned them or even used them.

Bosch delays all service calls for multiple weeks before coming and when the product broke 2 days after being fixed (supposedly), We had to wait again. They conveniently wont replace and then want no responsibility. This is the only review I have ever written and sadly I am unable to use my oven at all. This is very difficult as I have a family. 3,000 dollars is a lot of money to have a decorative storage unit. Please go with another company that will respect the consumer. I honestly dont know how this company is in business as we were dealing with the senior customer service representative, Courtney **, who completely disregarded the fact that this product was dysfunctional since day one. This company needs to reevaluate customer service and acknowledge that sometimes a product is faulty and you as a business need to stand behind your product.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BOSCH!! Poor customer service and bad products. I installed all new Bosch products for my remodeled kitchen 3 years ago. I noticed rust stains on my dishwasher about 2 years ago, and they became worse and worse to the point that friends who came over asked me why my dishwasher looked like that. Bosch customer service told me that they can only give me 50% off a new panel (and charge me additional for tax and freight), and I would have to pay $129 for the cost of their installer. I bought an oven, microwave, dishwasher and stove from them, and this is all they could do for me! They said to use a rust stain remover, and implied it was the kind of products I was using that caused the rust! I told them I never saw stainless steel rust, and this was the only appliance that was rusting. If you google other sites, many customers indicate that the materials in their stainless steel was not good. In addition, my cooktop had to be returned because the stainless steel near the burners were turning brown from the flames. Another product defect, and they had to replace my cooktop. Very disappointed in their customer service - the company does not support their products or their customers! BEWARE!

This Bosch wall oven is the worst purchase I have ever made. Sometimes it shuts itself off during baking. Sometimes the broiler turns on by itself during baking, causing the oven to overheat to extreme temperatures. Every computer component was replaced while under warranty; some components more than once. It was finally determined to be unrepairable by the repair person who had been here numerous times. The warranty company sent another repair company who told them that the oven did not fail during the one time that they were here, so the warranty co. told me that I had to pay the service call fee & that they would not return. Bosch refused to accept any responsibility for the product. As the extended warranty has now expired, I am now without an oven or any recourse.

12 year old double oven needed electronics replaced 6 or 7 years ago. Now two different companies have sent technicians out six or seven times and no one can repair it. Pretty much all electronic boards and touch pads replaced multiple times to no avail. lt resets itself spontaneously for date & time randomly for no reason we can figure out. What seems to be happening is the following: if we are in a cooking mode, such as sabbath mode, and the date and time resets while the oven is on, it becomes impossible to turn the oven off. When the reset screen is on pushing the off button does not change the display, and appears to do nothing. When the date and time has been reset even though the Sabbath mode is still on, the screen does not show it. Pushing the off button also does not change the display and nothing happens. It seems that we need to reset the date and time first and then turn the same sabbath mode on again and once it is on again then it will shut off.The odds of this happening during sabbath mode operation is the greatest as that mode is on for 24 hours at a minimum at a time. Although I suppose the clock could reset itself during any cooking mode. This is potentially dangerous as the oven may inadvertently be left on, and I cannot actually determine that it remains at exactly the same temperature and mode it was in before the reset happened. In fact, earlier the oven we just continue to get hotter and hotter heating up the wall around it until we turned off the main circuit breaker. We paid almost $1,000 for service. What do we do now?

We installed this new oven last year and decided to run the self cleaning option. We did not pull the telescopic oven tray out prior to running the cleaning option. Apparently the high heat ruined the parts involved with the telescopic action. It would have been nice to have had a warning label on the tray or perhaps the dealer might have mentioned this. My Bosch oven developed a crack in the glass door. Contacted customer services to explain the problem. They arranged for an engineer to call 4 days later between 8 & 5 pm. The engineer did not turn up till after 4.30 pm. He then confirmed a fault but said he could not fix it as he had no part. Checked on his laptop to discover the wrong part had been ordered anyway & was not booked out to any engineer. Proceeded to contact Bosch & was told a repair could not be arranged for another week. This meant I had no oven for two weeks. Really not on. In our sixties & I also provide meals for my elderly neighbour who suffers from Alzheimers. Purchased a dishwasher and oven in 2007. The DW was rated #1 and environmentally friendly... Its not ... It requires expensive rinse agents and it doesnt clean the dishes. The heating elemental either never worked or broke just outside of the 1-year-warranty. We had purchased the extended warranty so at least they fixed it.... But it still cost that added $150 bucks. The convection oven was also $1000 and doesnt cook several trays of cookies perfectly as advertised...not worth the money. Two years ago the main computer module fell off the back... The glue dried out that held it in place. Thankfully we jerry-rigged it back. Now the oven door wont close properly, so the oven turns itself off. We called for service and they said the part is $240 plus $150 for labor. I called customer service to see if they could help out... Nope... They blame me... I must have set something too heavy on the door.

I dont like the arrangement of the racks. Bowls dont fit well on either level, I could help Bosch find a much better way so loading is easier. Its comparable to others in the same price range. Ours decided to fall apart after 6 years. The actual computer panel just fell off. We can use it without the panel, but it is really broken. Wont buy another Bosch.

There is a class action attorney interested... Bosch didnt recall their hazardous (bursting into flames!) dishwashers until a suit was filed. Similar issue here with brand new Bosch double convection oven--control panel and knobs became scalding the first time we used it. It took over two hours for the control panel and knobs to cool down. We keep it shut off at the breaker because the technician said it was just a glitch. Bosch told us if the technician says its safe to use your oven its safe to use your oven--but they refuse to warranty any damage to our kitchen (hello--our us!) if theres a future problem. Theyll just replace the oven--I guess after it burns down your kitchen. Make sure you report the problems on Consumer Advocacy site so others can be aware.

In 2012 we renovated our kitchen, and laundry with 9 appliance that included built in coffeemaker and range hood. The appliance are poorly made and the parts are expensive. The first to go was dryer, that repeatedly gave lint error message and would not switch on. The next was built in microwave oven at 4 years. Then the washing machine has to be replaced at 5 years. In the 7th year it is the built in double oven, after minor troubles over 2 years finally failed completely. The company is not helpful. We can not talk to their technical support since they only talk to their own select group of technicians. The spare parts are ridiculously expensive. These appliances are unreliable. Please stay away from these appliances.

We purchased 3 Bosch appliances when we built our house 6 years ago. The dishwasher and microwave are up to par. All appliances are working. However, our 30 BOSCH gas range is experiencing rust spots on the lower drawer and around the main door. The enamel has come off part of the top of the range. I know from past experience with another dishwasher in my previous custom home, which Sears stood behind, that had rust spots on the door panel. The repairman actually said its a knock off from China and this is not stainless steel. I will say that my opinion is this is the same problem with the Bosch oven. Most people know that magnets do not stick to stainless steel. Well, start testing! Magnet sticks to my stainless steel dishwasher, microwave, range door and range lower drawer which means the appliances are NOT stainless steel. The magnet does not stick to my LG refrigerator which is 10 years old so it is true stainless steel. Since BOSCH and the store I purchase it from advertised these products are stainless steel, I paid for stainless steel. Customer service is not up to par. The customer service rep and a supervisor talked about my business to my cleaning lady as she called them to defend her use of cleaning products as BOSCH tech said my cleaning products must contain bleach. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, Attorney General as I feel this is false advertisement. and to BOSCH, I am glad you recorded the conversation with my cleaning lady as you had no right to speak with her about my business and to make her an offer on my range of 20% off. Total violation of my business. Diane ** in NH

I bought all Bosch appliances for my kitchen (except for the fridge) including washer and dryer. Right from the start I had problems with my oven and the dishwasher did not clean well. I got service in and they basically said to use another dish soap. Then my oven totally did not work and died on us for Christmas dinner. In a nutshell customer service was awful. I was calling in Canada then got re-routed to the States for Customer Service. Once there I had some action. But my oven does not work well. Since then my dishwasher racks are all broken. Buying Bosch was the worst choice - never again.

I do not have whether anyone managed to get help in France or in Cyprus for Bosch appliances? Trying to contact them, for both fridge and stove problems, to no avail. The French number is out of date and the Cypriot one does not exist. Bosch only wants to sell but does not seem to be willing to keep their customers in the long-run. Lesson duly learned and the word will be spread.

I purchased a Bosch gas stove and dishwasher 18 months ago as part of a home remodeling project. Within weeks of installation the symbols on the stove knobs indicating what burner they corresponded to had virtually worn away. I had the plate replaced and within a few months they had worn away again. I have used no cleaning product on the stove other than stainless steel cleaner - now I just live with the fact that people have to figure out what burner theyre turning on by trial and error. Within months the electrical components of the oven also began to malfunction. The oven would preheat but if it were left on for a while (while cooking Thanksgiving dinner, for instance - yes, that happened) the oven would spontaneously go dead - the digital display as well as the heating element. Switching off the circuit breaker and turning it back on again did nothing. I had the circuit board replaced (it was still under warranty) and a few weeks later the same thing happened (again, during a party when I was doing a lot of cooking). Long story short, it took 6 months and several service calls to resolve the problem. Now the oven works but the clock loses hours almost daily - I have to constantly re-set it. (Again, I just live with this - apparently having a stove clock that works is too much to ask.) The dishwasher has been just as bad. A wine glass apparently broke during a washing cycle and a 1 shard of glass got through the filter and into the pump. (Like this has never happened before in anyones kitchen? The filter system underneath the dish rack should be designed to prevent hard objects like a piece of glass from getting into the pump.) The dishwasher is 18 months old. I just spent $250 dollars for a new pump. I will never, ever buy a Bosch appliance again. I had a Frigidaire dishwasher in my old house and never had a service call in 10 years. For supposedly higher-end appliances, Boschs engineering and attention to detail is absolutely pathetic. I would give them a 0 for reliability. The local appliance outlet I bought these from has been extremely prompt about coming to my home for service calls, and very apologetic about my complaints. I dont blame them - I place the blame entirely on the poor quality of the appliances themselves.

Hi, On December 2, while I was self-cleaning my oven, the glass shattered. I paid extra for an extended warranty. I contacted Bill Smith Appliances where I bought the range. I also sent an email to Bosch customer services. Yesterday, 7 days later, someone from Bill Smith came out to determine the cause of the glass shatter. He indicated that it was a fault of Bosch manufacturing and the quality of the glass that was used. Today, when we called Bill Smith, they indicated that the repair had to be approved by Bosch and then the part would be ordered.According to them, it could take an additional 2 weeks before the oven was repaired. This is unacceptable! I have already been without my oven for 1 week, so if it takes 2 more weeks, I will not have my oven working for a total of 3 weeks! At this time of the year, this is extremely inconvenient because I cannot do any of my regular Holiday baking. I also tried contact Bosch. This is a nightmare! I have called them at least 20 time. The call does not go thru and I get a busy signal. Absolutely, no one answers the phone! I really dont think there even is a person available to answer!Bosch is considered to be a premium appliance brand. However, and this range is not quality and does not meet Bosch’s reputation and the price associated with it. This glass should NEVER have shattered, especially on the first time the oven was cleaned! My expectation is that the oven could be cleaned many times and survived with the glass intact. In addition, the service to repair has too much red tape and is extremely slow resulting in great inconvenience to the customer! Please speed this repair up, so that my oven will be repaired in a few days, not 2 more weeks! This is the Holiday Season. An oven is an essential appliance! Best regards, Cindy **.

When we remodeled our kitchen we bought all new Bosch appliances. Refrigerator needed service after 2 months of use. Circuit board needed to be replaced. Bosch refused to pay for spoiled food. Ice maker never worked right. Repair tech said we use too much ice. Microwave blew up after 2 years. Unit was replaced by Bosch but does not match the rest of my appliances. Instructed not to use the metal rack that comes with the microwave.Dishwasher needed a service call because it was making excessive noise after 3 years of use. Now, while cooking a Christmas roast, the inner glass of my 4 year old oven exploded after the oven was turned off. Glass all over the kitchen. We were stuck with a $200 repair bill. Service tech instructed us not to use the self clean feature. My husband and I are in our 60s and the appliances are not overly used. I have had more repairmen in my house in the past 4 years than I have had in 41 yrs of marriage. Bosch appliances are very expensive, overrated, and unreliable.

BOSCH SLIDE IN ELECTRIC RANGE. First off the Bosch range is beautiful. It can be described as understated elegance. The range is designed to seamlessly fit into the kitchen range opening without side gaps. No more dripping down the oven sides! The front detail which slightly covers the countertop edge makes it appear custom to our kitchen. But, the best part is how it cooks! Other reviewers complain about the “loud” convection oven fan. Well, if that fan is “loud” my hearing must be shot. The Whirlpool convection microwave which sits above my Bosch Range, is 3 times louder. The Bosch convection oven is very quiet in comparison.Since receiving my Bosch range I have used several cooking modes with great success: bake, multi bake, convection roast and convection bake. The oven is so well designed and insulated that all my dishes on the different modes were evenly cooked and delicious. The cooktop also performed. I have tried all the burners and even the warm feature. Alas, I have yet to use the warming drawer. However, based on everything else I tried, I am confident that the warming drawer will be fantastic.I recommend you read the oven instructions to get the most out of this beautiful range. When using the cooktop be careful not to slide pots and pans over the burners. Make sure the outside of all pots and pans are clean, dry, and flat. This will save the glass cooktop from scratches. And note, all glass cooktops are susceptible to scratches. The Bosch Instruction Manual also gives cookware tips which are worth trying. I bought flat cookie sheets (no sides) as suggested by Bosch. My cookies came out of the oven perfect and delicious. When shopping for a new range don’t overlook this Bosch appliance. However, be aware you must carefully measure your oven opening to get a great, custom fit. If you are building a new kitchen, request your contractor build the space to perfectly accommodate your new range. You will love the look and love your new Bosch Range! Oh and did I mention the stainless steel resists fingerprints? Just one more reason why I love my new range!

I purchased and installed the Bosch HMB8050/HBL8750 stacked microwave/convection oven and built-in oven pair in 2011. The microwave/convection oven was great in terms of roasting small items and we used it very frequently. That is until the convection part of the oven did not deliver the preset temperature and was making rattling noises. The repair technician determined that it was the drive shaft of the fan is broken causing temperature not distributing properly. We went to all the appliance parts suppliers and could not find the part as it has been discontinued. I also contacted Bosch directly, after being re-directed to 3 or 4 different numbers and confusion with the part number, they said no part was available. We tried to replace the microwave/convection oven with another Bosch but the model is discontinued. New models are now all flushed with the cabinets which means my existing cabinet has to be rebuilt and will look out of place with the existing built-in oven. Found a different make microwave/convection oven ($700) that may fits in the existing cut out but discovered that the Bosch microwave/convection oven and built-in oven shared the same power source!! The Bosch representative recommended replacing the complete system!!! So, because of a $180 part that Bosch discontinued will require me to take out a working microwave AND a perfectly working built-in oven and put in another Bosch $5,000 to $7, 000 combination oven in?? NO WAY! Will I buy another Bosch again? NO WAY! It is absolutely ridiculous to discontinue a part barely 10 years after a product in the market. Shame on Bosch.

It would happen occasionally but after the 4th year it would not preheat on Bake at all. We researched the problem and found the parts we needed to fix the problem were not available. Bosch no longer makes these parts and there is no updated part to resolve the issue so we are stuck with a 4 year old range that cant be repaired. We got a real nice deal from Lowes on a Bosch electric range. We had been looking all over for a new one during a slight remodel. Saw the range for approx. half price - clearance - and jumped on it... Our budget (or interest) really did not include thinking high-end. The range is great, with all the bells and whistles we wouldnt have gotten otherwise - quick heating ribbon elements, convection, roasting, and warming oven features, nice black glass finish. Plus, it gets light use from us two empty-nesters. Then about 2 months ago, the glass panel on the oven door just plain fell off! (How can anyone make something that just sits there and then falls apart!?) Luckily, it didnt break. Upon investigation, wifey found a screw in the storage drawer but there are 3 screw holes holding it on via bottom brackets. Looked to me as though the other 2 screws had never been put in. Not only I, but my PhD Mechanical Engineer son-in-law, could not figure out how to get the panel back on... After fooling with it for 2 weeks, I finally bit the bullet and pretty much disassembled the entire oven door to get it back together. During this ordeal, the plastic strip on the top of the door also broke. It now awaits my precision application of super glue to fix. Havent done that yet just because Im sick of fooling with the thing. I will say that during this deal, I called the Bosch hotline for some expert advice, and the guy I spoke to was as friendly and compassionate as any of his breed I have ever dealt with. But even though we both had the same web page in front of us, he cheerfully admitted he was clueless as to how to get the panel back on. All he could suggest was replacing the entire oven door, even though he agreed that that was overkill for the problem which compared to the Bosch dishwasher we bought about a year and a half ago (i.e., now out of warranty)... well, I only thought I knew what an appliance problem was until I met the Bosch SHE3AR5XUC!! It will not drain completely. The detergent will not dispense. The dishes will not dry, let alone sanitize. It is noisy... It is a **. According to my web-based research, I can take it apart and see if something is stuck in the pump impeller, and take more apart and replace or somehow fix the detergent dispenser... Oh, yeah, thats me. Like so many other posters here, we felt pretty good about ourselves having a kitchen with so-called high end appliances. Instead, we feel as though we got suckered into thinking life would be a breeze with the wonderful Bosch stuff in our all-electric dream kitchen. I intend over the next few days to visit the big-box retailer we got our D/W from and state that the only remedy is total replacement. I doubt they will go for that. I will then go to another big-boxer and buy a new D/W. My advice to anyone who has read this far and is considering getting a Bosch anything... your life is too short and your time too valuable to roll the Bosch dice.

Let me start by saying I have lived in 2 apartments with a combined total of 6 Bosch appliances, 3 of which have failed. In my old apartment, we had the Axxis Washer and Dryer (top/bottom) units. The dryer never dried. After numerous service calls which my landlord paid for, it finally worked. The washer also leaked water extensively, causing the hardwood floor boards to come up.In my new apartment, we have the exact same washer and dryer which have worked fine. Problem? The cooktop and oven. Both failed the same exact month. The cooktop igniter would not stop clicking and the electric oven would not heat, even though it was receiving power and all else functioned. I had a technician from Bosch who came to diagnose. He knew less about ovens than he did English. Could not understand a word he said. He fussed around with the cooktop for an hour and proclaimed some part to be broken. Cost? $800. Are you for real? The cooktop NEW is $700. As for the oven, he claimed the element needed replacement. Cost? $1000. I kicked him out of my house and they still billed me $160 for the service call. Bosch, you are the absolute worst. I will never buy an appliance from you again.

In the last few months I bought a trimmer from Amazon and was delighted with the product, however recently the battery started to spark and the trimmer now doesn’t work. I called up the service centre 2 days ago, I spoke to the most delightful lady who was really helpful and explained to me what the process was to get the trimmer fixed. Explained that I would need to print off a courier label that will need to be taped to a box that will hold trimmer because the a third party courier will be picking it up. I explained I don’t have a printer at home and live a in a small remote village and will not be sure when I can get to a printer. She said that it’s fine and that she will send me a pre print receipt and I can print that and then call her back to sort out a delivery.I didn’t receive the email with the label so I decided to call back today to try and get it sent back to me. I dial the number and give my reference number and let the man know I’m waiting for an email. To my surprise the man on the phone was rude and unprofessional, belittling me by saying that is not the process and that I need to arrange it and then get the email to me once it’s been processed.I try to explain the situation with the printer to get the label. He said, No need for a label but you need proof of purchase in the box. I said well printing is not really an option for me because of my situation to which he gave me ‘tough luck’ attitude. Then went on to say, Well do you want to arrange it or not? I replied to enquiry can I arrange it for a future date, which he said, No. We only do it 24 hours in advance, then he was of no help and pressured me to answer like I didn’t have time to even think about whether this is an option for me. And then he went on to say, The previous person you spoke to told you the wrong information. I’ll look up who it is and have them retrained. Disgusting attitude bad mouthing your own colleagues like that. This has been one of my worst experiences with customer services given my initial interaction was one of the most pleasantest conversations. Poor customer service and I’ll be glad this is the last time I buy from you again.

Absolutely love this stove. I use the convection more than anything because it seems to cook more quickly and food tastes better on this function. The stove top definitely heats up even on low knobs so be careful! Always start stovetop on lower settings especially if you have expensive pots and pans! When you are cooking in oven, be sure to press Kitchen Timer and not Oven Timer or the oven will automatically turn off after your done cooking which is nice but I always use Kitchen Timer button so that I don’t have to keep reheating the oven if I am cooking more than one dish or if I need to continue to time items on stove top. The depth for dishes is larger than my last stove but not as wide no complaints but just depends on what size pans your using. I love it!

The stainless steel front of the range oven (which must weigh about 5 lbs) which covers the entire door came off and almost broke my toes. The range trim plastic piece which holds the glass onto the oven front broke. We had Sears come out to fix it and they said it was loose and screwed it back on. Then the glass front again fell off, luckily when I was not there. Then we bought $200 worth of new plastic trim pieces and screws from Bosch authorized dealer. Again, the front of the heavy stainless steel door came off. Now, Im just throwing this horror range oven which wants to cut my toes off. It is no longer repairable and I wished I never spent the $200 worth of parts to try to get it fixed. Bosch 800 slide in electric range.. 5 burner. There is a major flaw with the self-cleaning feature. After two hours of the four hour cleaning cycle, an error code, E302, appears on the panel. This has happened both times the oven has been cleaned. The instructions from Bosch Help Line (nothing in the manual regarding this problem) are to turn off the electrical breaker when the error message appears for ten to thirty minutes (depending on the representative you are talking with), then turn the breaker back on. The oven will then complete the cleaning process (hopefully). Why would you have to turn the breaker off each time you clean the oven? This range cost $1799.10 + tax. Bosch 500 Series HBE5451UC - From installation forward the oven would not heat up to temperature. We bought it through Sears. I called Sears Repair twice. They just gave me the runaround wanting me to bake various things and keep track of how long they took to bake. Sears was not interested in my problem. Called the Bosch Service line. They gave me the name of and excellent repair service that would drive 60 miles to my home in the mountains. The repair technician evaluated the oven and found it had a bad board, I suppose circuit board. It took 3 visits from the repair tech. The wrong board was first sent. Once the correct board was installed the oven is reaching temperature. However it continues to not bake good evenly. It bakes things faster in the back of the oven than at the front. I have to watch or bread or cake will be burned in the back of the oven while still pale at the front. The baking rails are a real danger. There is only one pair of rails with the oven. I tried to buy a second pair so I could bake 2 pans at a time and they are not available. So, I tried inserting a pan without the rails. It is very dangerous!! You have to be very careful or the pan falls out and would dump its contents on the floor. So, the oven has very limited use with only one usable rack for a pan limiting how much one can back at a time. This is the 3rd wall oven we have had in this cabinet in the 40 years we have lived in the house. It is 34 inches up from the floor. Every time I open the oven it blows hot air into my face fogging my glasses. I have to step back and wait for my glasses to clear before I can check or remove whatever is baking. As a Public Health Nurse I am concerned this oven has too many safety issues and is a menace to the consumer.

Wall oven kept going dark and not working until you reset the breaker. Had to do that a few times in the three years we’ve owned it. It was installed new in 2016, we bought the house in 2018. Now it won’t reset at all. The only authorized service company is failing to get a tech here since March 31 with parts already being local. Wrote to Bosch hoping to get some help in getting the oven fixed. After sending them all the info they requested along with my firstborn they said they couldn’t help and that the awful service company they have is the only one “sorry” and “thanks for letting us help you”.??? Buy something else. Bosch is just expensive junk.

I always thought of Bosch as a company with high quality standards and good customer service and over time had to change my mind to never wanting to buy Bosch again and having shared this opinion with friends and family to avoid their frustration and disappointment. The dishwasher trays holding plates were so rigid in the beginning that they chipped my china – maybe I should feel lucky as the Bosch dishwasher of our friends went up in flames, even their model/serial number was not on the recall. The washer requires always additional rinses to remove the soap (or at least most of it) and the 4000$ cooking range broke down after 2.5 year with an electronic board having failed and needing replacement. Bosch does not provide service once the appliance is out of warranty and their spare parts are ridiculously expensive.

We moved into a new house with new bosch appliances: fridge, stovetop, speed oven and oven. After only TWO years of use, the speed oven digital display is dimming and will need to be replaced with a part for $150, plus labor. When I contacted Bosch, they would not replace the part. The words on the stovetop are already peeling off (Front, Back, etc.) and the buttons on the icemaker are finicky and need to be caressed to work. The dishwasher doesnt clean any better than our old appliances, the stovetop takes forever to boil and the stainless steel finishes are so hard to get clean. I cant make applesauce on the stovetop because the lowest possible setting is too high and burns it (this may be a reflection on using gas instead of electric, weve never had gas before.) I will never intentionally buy Bosch appliances ever again! Our old cheaper appliances were much more reliable. Not worth the cost!

I remodeled my kitchen in July of 2011. I got a gas stovetop and the vent is the Bosch 10282541 downdraft system. This is approx. $1,200 and has never worked for more than a month at a time. Currently, its not working, and Bosch will not repair it. I contacted Bosch in October of 2011 and they gave me a name of a company to work with. They came out, assessed the problem and after 6 weeks of no contact, no update, no fix, I had to contact Bosch and get another name of a company to fix the problem. Again, after weeks of delay, they came out and fixed it.And after 2 months, the vent broke again. They were in the process of fixing this, and again, it was delayed due to a back problem with the repairman. They did a partial fix, but then needed more repairs - and Bosch said the time was out for the year of in-warranty repair. During the first year this was installed, it was not working more than it was working. On Thanksgiving and every major holiday, I was without a fan. I contacted Bosch several times, and they promised to have a supervisor call me back, but that never happened. I have resolved to not buy Bosch appliances ever again as my fix.

The inside glass on the door of my Bosch wall oven, model HBL57, cracked when I ran the self-clean for the first time. The cycle was on for approximately 15 minutes when I heard a loud pop. Fortunately, the glass was contained to the inside of the oven, but I have lost complete faith in the reliability of this product. I think the self-clean cycles in the wall ovens are fraught with problems. My previous wall oven was a GE and the electronics board gave out during the self-clean cycle, which I why I didnt buy another GE. This type of failure is dangerous and should be taken very seriously by Bosch.

You would expect such an expensive appliance to last well after the warranty period! We spent the extra money on the kitchen appliances as we thought that Bosch had a good reputation...and there we are! So... Im standing in the kitchen around 11 pm, watching a soccer game, getting ready to take the dog out. The bottom oven was on Proof at 95 making yogurt. I hear pop! pop!, look over at the 6-year old Bosch double oven. Flame is coming out of the vent at the top left of the oven. I walk over & blow on the flame. It goes out but is still smoking so I get the fire extinguisher & spray the vent a couple times. I spend the next hour or so cleaning up white powder that spread a lot further than I would have expected. Next day I call the local Bosch Certified Technician. We pull the ovens out so we can see the control boards behind the control panel at the top. Main control board has four melted relays as well as a bundle of burnt wires. Tech says he is going to recommend the oven be replaced instead of repaired, that there is probably more damage that will show up later and we will never trust this oven again. Tech takes a picture to send to the Bosch regional rep along with his report & says to call Bosch customer service. CSR says they need a copy of the original sale receipt. Of course, we cannot find it. I send the original packing sheet and call again. Different CSR says she will see if they can find it in their system & gives me the File #. Call again & CSR says they have enough info so it has been submitted to upper management, should have response in a couple days. The response: Bosch will replace the oven with the current equivalent model prorated. That means if we pay them $1649.50 (half the MSRP) they will remove the burnt oven, ship & install a new oven. I say My oven should not start on fire! Bosch should replace it with an oven that wont burn up without cost. CSR says he will submit my request. 2nd response is the same. The oven was part of a Bosch package including stove top, microwave, dishwasher, washer & dryer, refrigerator & tankless hot water heater. The control board burst into flame & apparently Bosch has no interest in finding out why. We rejected Boschs offer & purchased a different brand.

For decades now I have used and preferred Bosch products. Recently I have had an ongoing bad experience with a Bosch dishwasher that I bought last June from Sears. Last January it abruptly stopped working. It was under warranty so I contacted Bosch as Sears does not handle warranty issues. I was told to contact a local service provider. To my regret I called Appliance Marshall repair in Cary Illinois. The idiot they sent made 2 trips and was not able to figure out how to make the warranty repairs. Instead he claimed that water leaking from the brand new custom made to accommodate my new dishwasher had somehow leaked water that damaged the dishwasher, and that it was not covered by warranty. I told him that there was never any such event, and there was no water leak anywhere. The only source of water in that location was the dishwasher. I have pictures that show the floor discolorations and that the leak came from the dishwasher itself. There is no discolouration or drip line on the floor aside from the perimeter of the unit. But since this guy used up my 2 service calls I have to pay for some 3rd party to come out and fix my dishwasher. This has been going on for over 2 months now and I still cannot use my VERY expensive Bosch dishwasher. I should add that during both visits this creep made to my home he made me very uncomfortable by asking irrelevant questions, suggesting friends for repairs to the new home I am remodeling, and really strange behaviour. I hope these guys are subject to a successful criminal background check prior to being sent into peoples homes. Anyway, prior to his deciding and informing Bosch that he could not accomplish the warranty repairs, I called and emailed Appliance Marshall repair that he never be sent to my home again since he made me so uncomfortable. Since an accurate and verifiable diagnosis of this unit was never made I feel that I have a Bosch product in my kitchen that is a fire and electrocution hazard. I just want to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Bosch.

In late 2015, we bought a refrigerator (33 in. W 24.8 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator in Stainless Steel with Icemaker) and a microwave/oven combo (stainless steel 30 Inch Wide 4.6 Cu. Ft. Electric Built-In Combination Oven with 1.6 Cu. Ft. Microwave and True European Convection Lower Oven). We chose the Bosch brand based on reputation, longevity, performance, and design.Unfortunately, neither of these products has performed well considering they are both 3 years old. The refrigerator completely stopped working and had a large build up of frost on the back wall of the freezer wall. A service technician with Hagedorn’s Appliances fixed this problem by calling a Bosch technician to learn the control panel and plugs stopped working. The technician commented that this is a rare issue and was surprised the appliance was a Bosch due to the reputation. We were charged $688.79 to fix this issue. The microwave control panel is dim and we are unable to see what buttons we are pushing. The technician from Hagedorn’s said this is a realistic issue and fixable problem to the tune of $350.00. We have not scheduled this repair at this time. The third item we bought from Bosch were $775 dishwashers. We bought 2 of these. To say we love the dishwasher better than the microwave and refrigerator would be true; however we must stop short of saying these items are ‘exceptional’ in any way. The doors seemed ‘warped’ and don’t shut well all the time. The washing capabilities are fair (sometimes leaves marks) and the time to complete is crazy long 2.5 hours, even close to that on ‘speed’ mode. However the washing quality is worse. We will give it credit for being quiet, that it is, well done there. We really have just had a hard time and these products are not the ‘show pieces’ we had thought we bought just 3 short years ago. It will be hard for us to consider Bosch for the price and performance.

Bought the above dishwasher (Model SHV878WD3N/10) and had it installed 10/15/18. It did not work from the 1st day. A repair technician checked it on 11/2/18 and told us the dishwasher had a factory defect and was not repairable. He contacted Bosch and told me they were going to exchange the dishwasher and I should check back with them in 3-4 days. I called on 11/6 in the morning and was told the exchange had been approved and I would have to wait 5-7 business days for that to be arranged. In the afternoon on 11/6 a customer service rep called me and advised me the exchange was approved and I would have to wait 7-10 business days.On 11/14/18 I called because I had not heard from them and was told that the approval had not been sent to the exchange department and was assured it was sent through that day. Now they tell me I will have to wait another 7-14 days to find out what model the exchange is approved for and when that may take place. Customer service reps are rude and do not provide their name. This was a $884 custom front unit and they are not even telling me I can get the same unit. The customer service at Bosch is terrible!!

I have done some research and it appears to be a very common problem that has been going on for years! I am extremely unhappy that such a well known company with such a good reputation would risk losing satisfied customers by ignoring this issue! Dont you understand that poor customer service can destroy that wonderful reputation? How can I, in good conscience, recommend a company that will not take responsibility for a chronic and common problem with their product? The answer is, I cant! Im very disappointed. We purchased three Bosch products in December 2013: a dishwasher, and combo oven/microwave. (HBL 5750). Both the microwave and oven have malfunctioned to the point of being unusable. $200 later, we have a quote for almost $1000 to fix them, no warranty extension. Attempting to get Bosch’s attention and address what we consider a premature failure of their very expensive products has been an exercise in futility. I purchased 3 Bosch appliances less than six years ago - 2 ovens and a 5-burner cooktop. When deciding on the purchase, my appliance dealer assured me that Bosch produces high end appliances. We went ahead with the purchase and paid high end prices too. Now, less than six years after we bought them, all 3 appliances are malfunctioning. Its so strange - almost like they have a pre-ordained life span from the manufacturer, because they all broke within the same 4 - 6 weeks. We have been trying to get them repaired through Bosch service for over a month and they are dragging their feet and giving us a horrible runaround. What a shame! I dont think I shall ever purchase another Bosch appliance nor recommend them to any of my friends or relatives. After calling them again to get a final response they said the oven works fine and it is only cosmetic. I agree, but this is not minor cosmetic. I bought this oven in Jul 2011. Over the past year the grill filament started to warp. It is now extremely warped and quite dangerous, soon likely to snap, and then the oven will be unusable. This has happened through normal and moderate use of the product. I have contacted Bosch (it took many many emails to get a reply) and they say they dont view it as a product fault or design defect, but as an isolated incident. They wont repair it for free, as I requested, but instead demand around 100 to repair it.I bought a Bosch oven specifically because I wanted a quality product - I paid for the brand name. I expected 10 years of use (my last cooker lasted 20 years) but I get a measly 3 -3.5 years and Bosch think this is reasonable. Bosch refrigerator problems. Bosch 800 Series B26FT70SNS /04 25.9 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator has issues and failures. The first issue is the crushed ice maker. It does not crush all the ice as my old GE unit did (or any other brand I have ever used). The Bosch unit only breaks some ice cubes in half, others it only will chip a corner off and only a few seem to come out mostly crushed. The lack of ice crushing has been confirmed by Bosch as normal for this unit. If you like fully crushed ice and not almost complete ice cubes mixed in with it, I would not recommend this refrigerator. The next two problems are more serious. Firstly, after swapping out the ice maker with a new unit to try to solve what we now know to be an unsolvable problem, the new ice maker unit has failed completely; it no longer makes ice and of course it is now out of warranty. I wrote an e-mail to the Bosch representatives who helped me the first time with this problem however they did not respond to my e-mail. The second failure is much more critical. The refrigerator intermittently stops working! Occasionally, the Bosch Series B26FT70SNS stops getting cold! Thats all the darn thing needs to do and it fails doing it! Ill come home to a puddle of water on the floor, the food in the freezer is thawed out and the refrigerator is warm! After cycling the power by turning off the circuit breaker sometimes it will start working, and sometimes it starts again by itself. I lost food and had to clean up a mess.I wrote another e-mail to the Bosch representatives about the ice maker and cooling failure, but again they did not respond to either of my e-mails. Because the Bosch representatives have been unresponsive on these last two problems it tells me that they do not want to get involved with defective products or product problems.Because I went with all BOSCH products in my new kitchen (Double oven, cooktop, range hood, dishwasher, warming draw, refrigerator) I am now terrified as to which product may fail next and the difficulty in communicating with factory representatives. I regret my decision of selecting all BOSCH appliances. As of this posting I have not heard back from Bosh.Based on my experience with multiple failures of my Bosch 800 Series B26FT70SNS /04 25.9 cu. ft. French Door refrigerator I cannot recommend purchasing this unit.

I purchased a $1500.00 Bosch Stove HEIP054C-01 5 years ago. Within a year I had to have the panel replaced with the Stove knobs on it because the burner markings and high to low settings decals/markings had worn off. Now after 4 years these markings have worn off again. I feel that this is a fire hazard as it’s difficult to tell which burner I am turning on and often get the wrong one. I called Bosch and they said that they don’t have replacement decals like a lot of other appliance companies and that it would cost $500.00 to replace the whole panel again.I am truly disappointed that they don’t have a cheaper, easier fix. I will not be replacing the panel as it is too expensive. When I bought the stove I also bought a Bosch microwave, fridge and dishwasher. I can honestly say that I won’t be buying Bosch again for my next appliances. They are beautiful but really not great for Value for money and replacement parts which shouldn’t be needed after only 4 years are extremely expensive. I was so looking forward and very excited to finally have Bosch appliances in my newly remodeled kitchen, however, I am now very disappointed and heartbroken with my first time Bosch appliance experience. Purchased the Bosch kitchen appliance suite and while the refrigerator and range seem to be fine, our installer discovered severe concealed damage to the $1000 dishwasher when unpacking to install. The inside of the dishwasher is crushed in from the top and the upper spray unit was dislodged from its bracket. The box arrived in perfect condition (as did the range and refrigerator) and no damage is noticeable until unpacked AND the felt covering is pulled back to see the damage to the outside of the unit. The response from the Bosch USA customer service team was that, upon review, they were unable (unwilling!) to help. When I asked to speak to the decision making manager I was told We are not allowed to do that. It would appear that the dishwasher was damaged at the Bosch factory and shipped to the distributor who also assumed the unit was undamaged due to the perfect condition of the box. Is this the way a world-renowned brand like Bosch provides excellent customer service and satisfaction?!? Really?!?

I couldnt unplug it because the wire was not reachable. I looked up the manual online, still nothing helped. Finally, I shut off the fuses to the kitchen. Now its off. Lol. Personally, Id only buy nondigital appliances. This oven is Dangerous! Dont waste your money. My $40 toaster oven is better!

This is one of the few true slide-in ranges left on the market that overlap the counter on each side. The cooktop is powerful, with great temp control and flexible configuration. The oven bakes so perfectly and evenly, it made me realize what I had been missing for years with my old oven. The convection settings work great, as does the proof setting and the warming drawer. Best range I’ve ever owned.

We upgraded our kitchen 5 years ago and went with Bosch because they were supposedly high quality appliances. We bought a Bosch built in oven/microwave appliance and did a custom rock wall around it. The appliance failed with 1 1/2 years. Bosch was not easy to deal with. We could not get a Bosch repair person because they refused to travel into the county side. Bosch did replace it with a slightly different size unit, so we had to adjust our wall. Now 3 years later this unit has failed. I have been put on hold for over 2 hours with no one answering the phone. I have emailed and received no response. We have wasted our money and time dealing with this company.

Bosch dishwasher shp65t55uc - One of the worst purchases we have ever made. Purchased in july 2014. Have already replaced front ss panel, not ONCE but twice. Have replaced cheap plastic handle once. Stainless steel is of poor quality. Should have stuck with sears elite brand, same as our refrig and stove. When you talk with Bosch rep, they act like their products are on the same level as the Hope diamond. Paid a ridiculous amount of money. Not worth it.

I have always thought Bosch as being a company that makes high quality products and I have purchased and used many without issue. However I feel that they have either lowered their quality to make more money or are trying to reach a different type of consumer either way it equals some disappointing details on many of their products. I do find that the stove is very nice and solid and seems to work well so far. Just need to see their products in person. Sometimes when you think its metal its actually plastic.

My Bosch electrical stove’s glass surface has broken in 11th month after buying it. The Service told me that is end-user fault and guarantee does not involve the glass (which is the half price of stove). If you do not planning to use your stove buy a Bosch :), otherwise you will keep paying to Service each year I guess.

We are currently in our 3rd year with our current Bosch Oven. The fist oven was damaged internally in shipment and had to be replaced. The second oven was installed and never worked. The third worked for 2 1/2 years after which the cooktop stopped functioning. The repair estimate was $ 800.00 to $ 1500.00. When we call Bosch it appears they are focused on the dishwasher recall ....

We purchased our Bosch Dual Fuel Range about 8 years ago. We had problems with the gas igniters that was not fixed properly by the authorized service. I eventually fixed it. Recently, the stove started burning the food. The service identified the problem as a failed relay board. Bosch shipped the wrong part, so we had to wait about a month for the correct shipment and repair. On a supposedly high quality item there should not be failures like this. If there are, they should not cost an arm and a leg. The most recent repair costing close to $500.

My lower Bosch oven has always been slow to preheat but it wasnt until the oven surface was being cleaned while the oven was on that I realized that the oven was very hot to the touch on the lower outside of the oven door. Three visits by an authorized tech to rule out problems with the door and gaskets resulted in his conclusion that the oven has a defect that it is a fire hazard as heat is going into the surrounding wall. I am asking other consumers who find their ovens are slow to preheat to actually check the outside border of the oven while on to see if it is hot. I am filing complaints with the relevant state and federal consumer product safety organizations in the hope of starting a recall. So check your in the wall Bosch ovens while on.
