First I will say I love the swing doors. However, after purchasing the top of their line double oven I am very disappointed in the quality and service from Bosch. The seller I purchased this from initiated a customer service call and they did send out a repair person to look at the oven. He took pictures and said the cavity is unrepairable. After calling them again to get a final response they said the oven works fine and it is only cosmetic. I agree, but this is not minor cosmetic. The entire bottom of the oven is discolored, looks like finish is peeling off. Inside of oven looks 20 years old after 1 1/2 years.

Bought Bosch Range 3 years ago. With 55 years of cooking this is the worst stove I have ever had. Nothing works the way it should. Turn a back burner on and the front burner also gets warm. The largest burner gets too hot. The oven is worse. Cant cook anything on the bottom shelf, it burns everything on the bottom. Can only use the middle shelf but not over 350. I will never buy anything that has the Bosch name on it... Does not even desire one star.

In 2002 we purchased a Bosch dishwasher which we couldnt be happier with. At the same time we were talked into purchasing a Bosch oven which I have never liked. Temperature has always been uneven and I have needed to be sure to turn dishes during baking to cook evenly, especially baked cookies, pies and cakes. Recently, after broiling a meal, the oven just quit. The only thing working was the clock and timer. Authorized Sears service repair came out and had a lot of trouble figuring out the design schematic in the first place. He finally found a broken selector switch but was told the appliance and all repair parts have been discontinued and is unable to be repaired. An e-mail from Bosch replying to my complaint simply reiterated that the oven has been discontinued and to try ordering from discontinued parts websites. No offer to compensate or assist in locating the part, which I have been unable to find on my own. Now our home has been sold and the buyers are requesting we replace the oven, forcing us to spend upwards of $1,000 on an oven we wont be using! Buyers beware of Bosch. Customer service is useless to say the least.

After the cleaning, we noticed that large to medium specks of grease were embedded in the glass of the oven door. A Bosch representative came and took a look. He said it was a function of the oven. We called customer service and elevated the call to a supervisor who said the same thing and if we wanted to clean the glass, we would have to pay for that ourselves. I am writing this because this was an expensive combined oven (microwave and regular oven). Had I known of this issue, I would have purchased a different oven. Weve had self-cleaning ovens for 47 years in four different homes and never had a similar issue.

Bosch refrigerator ice tray broke after one year, water pump broke after 3 years. $450.00 to fix. Bosch gas range with electric oven that leaks and burns control knobs and does not maintain temperature. Bosch microwave overheats after moderate use. Bosch dishwasher just replaced after six years due to leaking. Need I say more!

I am having issues with a brand new oven/microwave combo that keeps breaking. The Bosch service department does not have their act together, so they keep postponing my appointment, and they are not very apologetic about it either. I tried to write a negative review on their website, but it was reviewed by them and not posted. They only post the good reviews of their product. This is symptomatic of a company that is not transparent about their business.

Unfortunately I am one of those that got no help from Bosch. They said there is nothing they can do and that I would have to pay $99 for them to send someone out. And that only covers the first 18 minutes of diagnostics. From there it was $120/hr. This microwave is part of an oven combo unit that cost over $2200 so it is not as simple as just replacing the microwave either. Thought I was getting a high end product but I guess not. Beware of Bosch less you find yourself hoping you win the customer service lottery of whether they choose to help you or not. BTW, this unit is only 26 months old.

I appreciate that Bosch has very high ratings. We may just be the unlucky ones to get faulty appliances, but our experience has been quite the opposite of high ratings. We remodeled our kitchen 5 years ago. We bought all Bosch appliances: refrigerator, built-in oven, induction stove top, microwave, dishwasher. About a year ago (so the appliances were 4 years old), the oven started overheating when we tried to clean the oven or have it on a high bake temperature for more than a few minutes. The oven would shut off and there was an error message on the panel that indicated overheating. We had it checked by the local authorized dealer and made several calls to Bosch. In essence, we were told that it is overheating--thats all! Well, we knew that. This has been going on for a year, and we havent received any solution from phone calls or visits.A few days ago, we tried to clean it again because something spilled in the bottom of the oven. It again overheated and shut down. Today, we were having people over for brunch. We set the oven to Bake with the temp at 400, and put the bacon in. We went back to check the bacon when it should have been done, and the oven and bacon were stone cold! We assumed we had not turned it on properly, so we again hit bake, set the temp to 400, and hit enter. Again, nothing. Our oven is completely dead, and it is just slightly older than 5 years! The oven panel displays all the right settings as if it is heating, but the oven remains cold. Again, with the rave reviews Bosch gets, we expected the oven to last more than 4 years before starting to have problems. As a matter of fact, with the price we paid, along with the reviews, we frankly thought that the oven would outlast us!Now for the refrigerator. Our self-defrost and icemaker have been malfunctioning. Again we called the local authorized dealer/repairmen, who came to look at it. He identified the problem and ordered a part to fix it. That was 4 months ago, and the part to fix it has yet to be shipped to the local dealer/repairmen. So although the problem was identified in August, it is now December and still no solution to our refrigerator. My husband has made several phone calls both to Bosch and to the local number, but to no avail. As you can see, I cannot in good conscience, recommend Bosch appliances to anyone. As a matter of fact, I would highly recommend not to go with Bosch. We have to replace our oven and probably our refrigerator, and we will absolutely not choose Bosch!

I have a Bosch Evolution Gas Range that we have had for about 4 years. I have been quite happy with the range for the most part, except for the ongoing problem with the oven door not closing. I have done some research and it appears to be a very common problem that has been going on for years! I am extremely unhappy that such a well known company with such a good reputation would risk losing satisfied customers by ignoring this issue! Dont you understand that poor customer service can destroy that wonderful reputation? How can I, in good conscience, recommend a company that will not take responsibility for a chronic and common problem with their product? The answer is, I cant! Im very disappointed. Dont think another Bosch will be in my future if something doesnt change. All these customers with door issues should not be ignored. Do a recall and fix the problem! I rate customer service a 0.

The convection wall oven has locked up and over heated 4 times in 6 years, once cremating a very expensive standing prime rib roast, the circuit board replaced twice. The microwave had its circuit board replaced and the dishwasher had to have its hinges repair. All on my dollar, even though the oven was just barely over 1 year old, the microwave was 2 and the dishwasher 4. Their customer service is the worst. For company that thinks it is high end it is just another overseas cheap piece of junk. Do not buy Bosch appliances.

Bosch dishwasher shp65t55uc - One of the worst purchases we have ever made. Purchased in july 2014. Have already replaced front ss panel, not ONCE but twice. Have replaced cheap plastic handle once. Stainless steel is of poor quality. Should have stuck with sears elite brand, same as our refrig and stove. When you talk with Bosch rep, they act like their products are on the same level as the Hope diamond. Paid a ridiculous amount of money. Not worth it.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BOSCH!! Poor customer service and bad products. I installed all new Bosch products for my remodeled kitchen 3 years ago. I noticed rust stains on my dishwasher about 2 years ago, and they became worse and worse to the point that friends who came over asked me why my dishwasher looked like that. Bosch customer service told me that they can only give me 50% off a new panel (and charge me additional for tax and freight), and I would have to pay $129 for the cost of their installer. I bought an oven, microwave, dishwasher and stove from them, and this is all they could do for me! They said to use a rust stain remover, and implied it was the kind of products I was using that caused the rust! I told them I never saw stainless steel rust, and this was the only appliance that was rusting. If you google other sites, many customers indicate that the materials in their stainless steel was not good. In addition, my cooktop had to be returned because the stainless steel near the burners were turning brown from the flames. Another product defect, and they had to replace my cooktop. Very disappointed in their customer service - the company does not support their products or their customers! BEWARE!

This is the second time in a little over three years that I had to pay a repairman for my Bosch gas-free standing convection range. The first time was the igniter. It cost me $197.95. Now, I had to pay $85.00 for a repair because the control panel came loose and I found out it was just taped on. I cannot believe the poor workmanship that goes into your product. I will never ever buy any of your products again and I will tell everyone I know not to buy any of your products.

The grates on the range have a plastic coating on them and they scorch. I call this a defect and they should replace them, but they want to sell me new grates that they cannot tell me what kind of material they are made of. First of all they should replace the grates for free, why put some material that does not hold up to fire on the grates, and second why would they not be able to furnish me with information on the new grates as to the material they are made of and if they have the same plastic coating on the grates. Why would I want to buy the same junk so it can be an ongoing sale?

Bosch 500 Series HBE5451UC - From installation forward the oven would not heat up to temperature. We bought it through Sears. I called Sears Repair twice. They just gave me the runaround wanting me to bake various things and keep track of how long they took to bake. Sears was not interested in my problem. Called the Bosch Service line. They gave me the name of and excellent repair service that would drive 60 miles to my home in the mountains. The repair technician evaluated the oven and found it had a bad board, I suppose circuit board. It took 3 visits from the repair tech. The wrong board was first sent. Once the correct board was installed the oven is reaching temperature. However it continues to not bake good evenly. It bakes things faster in the back of the oven than at the front. I have to watch or bread or cake will be burned in the back of the oven while still pale at the front. The baking rails are a real danger. There is only one pair of rails with the oven. I tried to buy a second pair so I could bake 2 pans at a time and they are not available. So, I tried inserting a pan without the rails. It is very dangerous!! You have to be very careful or the pan falls out and would dump its contents on the floor. So, the oven has very limited use with only one usable rack for a pan limiting how much one can back at a time. This is the 3rd wall oven we have had in this cabinet in the 40 years we have lived in the house. It is 34 inches up from the floor. Every time I open the oven it blows hot air into my face fogging my glasses. I have to step back and wait for my glasses to clear before I can check or remove whatever is baking. As a Public Health Nurse I am concerned this oven has too many safety issues and is a menace to the consumer.

We bought a Bosch oven 4 years ago. The self-clean function didnt work the first time we tried as there was something wrong with the door hinges. This wasnt under warranty. We always found that the oven took a long time to cook things, but didnt really give it a second thought. There was also a mystery screw that magically appeared in the warming drawer one day. 9 days ago, the glass on the door spontaneously exploded into thousands of pieces while baking at a relatively low heat. We called Bosch and scheduled service for last Wednesday. Needless to say, they refused to accept responsibility as we are beyond our warranty period. As I took apart the glass, I discovered that the missing screw was one of the three holding the glass panel in place. This should never have just fallen out. I also noticed that the door closes much better than before. We are now 9 days without our oven and there is no sign of a Bosch technician! When I spoke to the Bosch rep, I asked how to register a complaint. He referred me to their web-site - but it only allows for 250 characters. Clearly, they dont want to hear about any problems. So much for expecting that a high end company might be interested in quality. Clearly, I wont be running out to buy any more Bosch appliances.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher because I liked the 3rd rack feature, the super quiet rating, and seemingly good reputation. This dishwasher does Not clean the cups or glasses. The glasses taste like soap and the cups are still dirty inside. The repair came out twice, changed the soap dispenser, told me not to use rinse aide, to always use the heavy setting and extra dry. The glasses are better, but the cups are not and I have to wash all the cups before they go into the machine. It can be hard to arrange the dishes in the lower rack. I have bent some of the tines to make a 9x13 baking dish fit.We bought this dishwasher and a GE range the same day, it took 2 months for delivery. Apparently, Bosch starts the warranty before the consumer actually has the product. The GE Range is still under warranty, while the Bosch dishwasher is not. GE starts the warranty upon delivery, not purchase, which seems much more fair to the consumer. Bosch warranty and service were both not much help. How a warranty can start before the product is in your home being used is ridiculous and unfair. But it doesn’t change the fact that it isn’t even a good dishwasher. We do Not recommend Bosch. Go GE.

I bought a Bosch oven in 2005, it has never worked correctly. I had a repairman out the first year and was told it was within specs. He did nothing more than shoot the interior with an infrared thermometer! This year our Thanksgiving was completely ruined because the oven would not hold a constant temperature. I had a repairman out and was told the thermostat was bad. Also the switch was bad. Total price for both was $60.00 IF you could find them. The company no longer makes them! After trying to contact their customer service department I finally got a response after sending their corporate office a note to send someone physically to customer service to check on them because they were either not there or all dead! I got a call back from a supervisor telling me that indeed the parts were no longer made and I should buy a new oven! So I am to understand that this is an appliance company that does not know how to make thermostats or switches that work. I see from the other reviews that they have made a habit of this. I agree with the others, I will NEVER buy another thing this company produces under any name. This includes Dremel tools. They do not care about their customers.

There is a class action attorney interested... Bosch didnt recall their hazardous (bursting into flames!) dishwashers until a suit was filed. Similar issue here with brand new Bosch double convection oven--control panel and knobs became scalding the first time we used it. It took over two hours for the control panel and knobs to cool down. We keep it shut off at the breaker because the technician said it was just a glitch. Bosch told us if the technician says its safe to use your oven its safe to use your oven--but they refuse to warranty any damage to our kitchen (hello--our us!) if theres a future problem. Theyll just replace the oven--I guess after it burns down your kitchen. Make sure you report the problems on Consumer Advocacy site so others can be aware.

My Bosch combination microwave/convection oven just stopped working for the 5th time in 5 years, and my extended warranty just expired 5 days ago. I would NEVER recommend this appliance. I thought Bosch was a great brand name, but its been my experience that their ovens are inferior. The control panels went black each time and had to be replaced. For a kitchen renovation in May 2018 I purchased Bosch oven, stove, dishwasher, hood and refrigerator. The 1st day the on/off button on the range hood broke AND the icemaker fell out of the refrigerator. They were repaired at no cost. 8 months later the refrigerator lost power. Upon calling for service we were informed there were 3 authorized dealers in Westchester, NY and we needed to wait 5 days for a repair person. This is not a rural area. Crazy that there are only 3 contracted repair companies. If we called our own repair person the warranty would become invalid and we would have to pay for the repair/part. The person came and said they needed to order a part (computer board) from out of state which would take 5 days. Whatever happened to overnight service? 10 days later the refrigerator which was 8 months old was repaired. We noticed the oven took 2x longer than a recipe required. Upon buying an in oven thermometer we determined that even after following directions to preheat, the oven did not get to the temperature it was set for even after 1 hour. The icemaker works at a snails pace. It takes 24 hours to spit out 10 cubes. I get the sense it doesnt work right. I would NEVER recommend Bosch appliances and I am VERY disappointed I purchased these products. THE WORST.

My wonderful Bosch dishwasher recently stopped dispensing the detergent. Since its under warranty, I have followed all the required steps and jumped through the requested hoops, but have discovered that Bosch obviously does not offer service in our area. Over the past week I have spent 2 hours and 47 minutes on the phone (most of it on hold), been disconnected (with no return call from them) 3 times, and have emailed with no response twice. I have a file number now due to the concerns about no service provider in our area, but that seems to be simply a pacifier, since it has proven to provide nothing. Bosch service is THE worst!

We bought a Bosch gas range four years ago. I did the research and consumer reports said it was the best. Within the year, the front door wouldnt close completely. We had the company we bought it from come and fix it; it was still under the one-year warranty that time. Life was wonderful, except that the front knobs were a little loose from the heat that had been escaping with the door not closed. When the new hinges failed (again, less than a year after being installed), I called the store again, and had them come back and do it again. They gave me a hefty bill for it, which I disputed, since it was only a matter of months since it had been fixed. The one-year warranty was only from the date of purchase, so I paid it.Last summer, the door started its migration from the frame once again so, being the clever ** that I am, I propped the door shut with a kitchen chair. We really struggled to shut it enough for Thanksgiving dinner, and hadnt used it since. Our Vermont Castings gas grill was our primary cooking device--everything from apple pie to ziti--ever since.I bit the bullet last month and had them come again. They did half the work as they had to order a door repair kit (obviously, we are not the first to experience this). Now, with the new door kit and replacement knobs, we are looking forward to another 10 months (hopefully) of having an oven. Our broiler hasnt worked since it was fixed, but I havent complained about it because I cant afford to.

I always thought of Bosch as a company with high quality standards and good customer service and over time had to change my mind to never wanting to buy Bosch again and having shared this opinion with friends and family to avoid their frustration and disappointment. The dishwasher trays holding plates were so rigid in the beginning that they chipped my china – maybe I should feel lucky as the Bosch dishwasher of our friends went up in flames, even their model/serial number was not on the recall. The washer requires always additional rinses to remove the soap (or at least most of it) and the 4000$ cooking range broke down after 2.5 year with an electronic board having failed and needing replacement. Bosch does not provide service once the appliance is out of warranty and their spare parts are ridiculously expensive.

The appliance failed with 1 1/2 years. Bosch was not easy to deal with. We could not get a Bosch repair person because they refused to travel into the county side. Bosch did replace it with a slightly different size unit, so we had to adjust our wall. Now 3 years later this unit has failed. Purchased new in 2004. Main range burner (right front) never did feel right, rough to turn and if you put it to the wrong spot (nice light simmer), it would go out, but the gas would still run. New Years Eve 2007, the oven burner quit at about 3:00 in the afternoon, part way thru cooking a massive prime rib roast. The electric starter came on and glowed, the gas valve opened but the oven burner wouldnt light. Phoned the dealer (Midland Appliances) and asked them for help, they told me that they could have someone out in about two weeks. Since I was in the middle of preparing a dinner for 10, I finished the roast on the BBQ. It didnt turn out that well, since its hard to cook outside at -20C. Took it all apart the next day and determined that the orifice was plugged/blocked so I cleaned it out with a needle file. About once or twice per year, ever since, same problem. Orifice fouled, and the gas doesnt flow. Eventually the electric starter failed, so I replaced it. Had to order from an outside vendor, as per manufacturer website. Part was delivered, oven back in operation, regular orifice cleanings (and failed meals) continued. In 2011, the main range burner finally failed. It was on and when I tried to turn it down, something broke internally on the shaft. Had to shut the gas off to the entire unit, because the valve wouldnt close. So we are without oven or range. No parts available in our city, again, so I had to order from the outside vendor and have shipped. Five days total without an oven or range top. Many meals outside of the home and many take out meals delivered. New valve installed and the same rough feeling as the original valve. I am probably going to have to replace it again in a few years.November 29, 2013 my wife calls me at work, oven not coming on again. Okay, have to pull the oven out again and clean the orifice, I guess?? Well not this time, now the valve for the baking half of the oven has failed. Electric starter comes on, voltage changes to the valve, but the valve doesnt open. Order the valve ($161) from the outside vendor, four days later it arrives, two hours to install and the oven is back in operation.December 21, 2013 (yesterday) and were having family for early Christmas dinner. About 1:00PM, I turned the oven on to start our turkey and the electric starter glows but the gas valve doesnt open. I hear the solenoid for the starter click and it glows and about a minute later I should hear the valve for the gas open but I dont. Turkey is back in fridge, called the local Chinese take out place for ($185) worth of food. I will pull it apart again on Wednesday (Christmas day) but I suspect that the (new) valve is defective. And on, and on, it goes.Other observations: Well the fit and finish on the visible parts of the oven are quite nice, the guts of it are a mess. Screws dont line up with hole, many are stripped or over tightened. The sheet metal is of the lightest gauge possible and often wires are installed and poorly secured. The adjustable legs dont secure very well and as a result every-time you move the unit, it has to be re-leveled. The unit appears to be made in Mexico, and the range valve was also Mexican made, so I guess its goodbye to German quality.Long and short, this range has been very problematic and I will NEVER buy another Bosch appliance, small or large. And since I am a vengeful sort, I will probably not buy/install Bosch vehicle (starters, alternators) parts either.

When I had to replace the dishwasher that came with my home when I bought it, I wanted an excellent product and was willing to pay for it. I chose a Bosch from a local appliance dealer. While I havent had mechanical issues like many reviewers, the performance of this very expensive dishwasher is dismal. The dishes do not get clean or dry, and there is often a strange biological-type odor after the cycle runs. I will never purchase another Bosch product.

Purchased a dishwasher and oven in 2007. The DW was rated #1 and environmentally friendly... Its not ... It requires expensive rinse agents and it doesnt clean the dishes. The heating elemental either never worked or broke just outside of the 1-year-warranty. We had purchased the extended warranty so at least they fixed it.... But it still cost that added $150 bucks. The convection oven was also $1000 and doesnt cook several trays of cookies perfectly as advertised...not worth the money. Two years ago the main computer module fell off the back... The glue dried out that held it in place. Thankfully we jerry-rigged it back. Now the oven door wont close properly, so the oven turns itself off. We called for service and they said the part is $240 plus $150 for labor. I called customer service to see if they could help out... Nope... They blame me... I must have set something too heavy on the door.

I purchased a Bosch gas stove and dishwasher 18 months ago as part of a home remodeling project. Within weeks of installation the symbols on the stove knobs indicating what burner they corresponded to had virtually worn away. I had the plate replaced and within a few months they had worn away again. I have used no cleaning product on the stove other than stainless steel cleaner - now I just live with the fact that people have to figure out what burner theyre turning on by trial and error. Within months the electrical components of the oven also began to malfunction. The oven would preheat but if it were left on for a while (while cooking Thanksgiving dinner, for instance - yes, that happened) the oven would spontaneously go dead - the digital display as well as the heating element. Switching off the circuit breaker and turning it back on again did nothing. I had the circuit board replaced (it was still under warranty) and a few weeks later the same thing happened (again, during a party when I was doing a lot of cooking). Long story short, it took 6 months and several service calls to resolve the problem. Now the oven works but the clock loses hours almost daily - I have to constantly re-set it. (Again, I just live with this - apparently having a stove clock that works is too much to ask.) The dishwasher has been just as bad. A wine glass apparently broke during a washing cycle and a 1 shard of glass got through the filter and into the pump. (Like this has never happened before in anyones kitchen? The filter system underneath the dish rack should be designed to prevent hard objects like a piece of glass from getting into the pump.) The dishwasher is 18 months old. I just spent $250 dollars for a new pump. I will never, ever buy a Bosch appliance again. I had a Frigidaire dishwasher in my old house and never had a service call in 10 years. For supposedly higher-end appliances, Boschs engineering and attention to detail is absolutely pathetic. I would give them a 0 for reliability. The local appliance outlet I bought these from has been extremely prompt about coming to my home for service calls, and very apologetic about my complaints. I dont blame them - I place the blame entirely on the poor quality of the appliances themselves.

Bosch Free Range Stove Model #HGS3052UC - My mom, 75 years old, called yesterday upset that her stove will not turn off. She called Boschs customer service to advise them that her stove will not turn off and that she needs someone to come take care of it. She was quoted approximately $129 for the first 18 minutes and $12 for every 6 minutes after that and told her the first available date was over a week later. So, in other words, they told her it will be ok for her oven to be on 24/7 for over a week until someone gets there. It gets better!! My husband went over to look at it and realized that the screen that displays the clock and functions was hanging off behind the glass. He opened the back to find that the control module was held on by double sized tape!! I kid you not!! This was supposed to be one of the better stoves and it is held together by tape!

In 2012 we purchased a Bosch dishwasher based on Consumer Reports Magazine. We bought the top of the line spending a lot of money for what we thought to be a good unit. Since installation we have had it fixed 3 times the first being for a power cord that failed but was a recall that Bosch covered. That part again failed 2 years later and had to be repaired again for the same failure as the first but at my cost. The latest was for a power control circuit board. The dishwasher would start appear to be running but after only 2 cycles would stop and indicate the dishes were clean. However no water ever entered. A search on the internet revealed that other models had the same problem and was involved in a recall. A workaround was to open and close the door after the 2nd cycle and the unit would then fill. I tried the workaround and it worked, indicating the same problem and was later confirmed by a repairman. I contacted Bosch, provided all requested documentation and was eventually told that our unit was not included in that recall and the best they could do was 20% of the replacement board cost which equated to $24.00, but wed have to pay for shipping and taxes which was $17.00. I thought we had bought a well built appliance from a reputable manufacturer but have been proven wrong. Their customer service is terrible and does nothing to HELP you. In the 7 years weve owned it half of the original purchase price has been in repairs. I would not recommend any Bosch appliance to anyone again nor would I buy one.

This new oven was installed October 14th and has never worked. Bosch factory repair came out and said there were four things wrong with it and that it should be replaced. After a month of calling, emailing and waiting hours upon hours on hold, Bosch said they would not replace it but attempt to fix it. The repairman came again, again stated that it could not be repaired and that the needed panel was backordered. It is now December and the needed part is not going to be available until after the first of the year. Bosch refuses to replace the oven and does not stand behind their product. I would never buy Bosch again. You cannot get a manager on the phone and the call center reps are belligerent.

HMB5050 Bosch microwave - I remodeled my kitchen 3 years ago. Researched the big Bosch appliances and most received good reviews. The least expensive item, the microwave, I did not research. Big Mistake!!! Read the reviews, all have the same issue. Total failure between 2-3 years. Inverter board/magnetron. Repair cost $600!! So many reviews with the same issue, Bosch should have recalled this item. Instead just discontinued it. No help from customer service, although they did have me go through the trouble of sending them a bunch of stuff. In the end they offered me $25 towards a new inverter board. Im considering a small claims court option. I have enough info about the item to at least warrant a try. All my other Bosch appliances: warming drawer, double wall ovens, dishwasher, 5-burner gas cooktop, have held up well. I cook a lot! Just such a disappointing experience with the darn microwave! I wish they would help me out with a credit towards a new one! They know this thing has serious issues! Ill keep you posted!

Bosch 800 slide in electric range.. 5 burner. There is a major flaw with the self-cleaning feature. After two hours of the four hour cleaning cycle, an error code, E302, appears on the panel. This has happened both times the oven has been cleaned. The instructions from Bosch Help Line (nothing in the manual regarding this problem) are to turn off the electrical breaker when the error message appears for ten to thirty minutes (depending on the representative you are talking with), then turn the breaker back on. The oven will then complete the cleaning process (hopefully). Why would you have to turn the breaker off each time you clean the oven? This range cost $1799.10 + tax. A range this expensive should clean properly.

We purchased a Bosch oven two years ago. It now does not work. We live 110 miles from the nearest authorized repair. Our local appliance repair person has charged us $200.00 to fix our unit by replacing items until the unit works. Now he does not call us. I talked with Bosch customer service and they advised me that I need to provide them with the receipts of when I purchased the oven. So I would need to go through my 2013 records to find the receipt, then they would pay for an appliance repair person to come out. I have already spent 4 hours dealing with this problem. All I can say is I thought I was buying a quality unit that would take my wife and I into our retirement years. My mistake. Bosch is a highly overrated product. I will never buy another Bosch unit.

We installed this new oven last year and decided to run the self cleaning option. We did not pull the telescopic oven tray out prior to running the cleaning option. Apparently the high heat ruined the parts involved with the telescopic action. It would have been nice to have had a warning label on the tray or perhaps the dealer might have mentioned this. WALL OVEN: I bought Bosch Benchmark appliances for my home. I am now on the 4th repair for the wall oven (exact same problem all 4 times) in a year and still Bosch hasnt figured out theres a problem with this oven. All 4 times when the oven stopped working I was without the use of my oven for 20-25 days waiting for repairmen, parts or be ordered, etc. 80 days in total so far in less than a year that I have not had the use of my oven, and counting. AND to make matters worse, the only time I use this oven is when I have guests, the rest of the time for myself and my husband to make small meals we use the smaller speed oven. So, 4 times in less than a year there has been multiple guests in my home for dinner parties, and the oven has stopped working. Add all those people up and youll see how many people have walked away with a bad opinion about Bosch appliances. Not to mention that at each dinner, because my oven stopped working, I had to resort to ordering in for my guests and all the fresh fish and chicken etc that I had bought to prepare for my guests had to be frozen because I knew Id be without my oven for another 20-25 days before I could bake it.SPEED OVEN: I also have the Bosch benchmark speed oven, that too has had one repair in less than 6 months of being installed, same problem as what I had on the wall oven. Thankfully the speed oven got repaired and seems to have been working fine ever since (knock on wood). COOKTOP: I also have a Bosch induction cooktop. No problems as of yet with that. Im keeping my fingers crossed but Im scared to death because my trust in Bosch is so very low.I have told everyone that comes in my home and raves about my gorgeous kitchen renovation DO NOT EVER BUY BOSCH. And most of them have seen it first hand now how bad the appliances are because theyve all been at my home at one time or another in the past year and seen the oven fail in front of their own eyes. So Ive got lots of witnesses and sadly Bosch has lots of people who know to never buy their appliances. 2 of the families who were at my house in the past year and saw the wall oven stop working, have now done their own kitchen renovations and both of them made a choice NOT to buy Bosch because they said they would not take the chance seeing all the problem I had with mine.I have kept a detailed journal of all my repairs, dates, time, conversations, videos, etc. Because I am fairly certain that I will end up suing the retailer and/or Bosch for breach of warranty/contract and for not disclosing material facts prior to my purchase. But because its still under extended warranty Im going to keep letting them repair it as many times as they want, and I will keep my journal and history so that shortly before the warranty wears out I will then sue and force them to give me a full refund... I cannot accept a replacement oven because Bosch does not have another wall oven that could be installed in my kitchen without me doing a kitchen reno again (which is not going to happen).

Admittedly, my Bosch Oven is now over 10 years old and out of warranty. However, this is the second time that the Bosch Oven has exploded with glass shattering over the floor and the people in the kitchen. Whilst I expect some ovens to grow old, I do not expect them to explode - especially twice now. The first was when the oven was being used and the second time was when the oven had cooled down. The first time, Bosch provided some (around 40%) reimbursement. On the second contact, first impression from customer service was that they were interested, but since then, they have been notably unavailable for comment or response. I wont be recommending a Bosch Oven purchase to anyone - in fact my response would be the opposite.

I purchased a $1500.00 Bosch Stove HEIP054C-01 5 years ago. Within a year I had to have the panel replaced with the Stove knobs on it because the burner markings and high to low settings decals/markings had worn off. Now after 4 years these markings have worn off again. I feel that this is a fire hazard as it’s difficult to tell which burner I am turning on and often get the wrong one. I called Bosch and they said that they don’t have replacement decals like a lot of other appliance companies and that it would cost $500.00 to replace the whole panel again.I am truly disappointed that they don’t have a cheaper, easier fix. I will not be replacing the panel as it is too expensive. When I bought the stove I also bought a Bosch microwave, fridge and dishwasher. I can honestly say that I won’t be buying Bosch again for my next appliances. They are beautiful but really not great for Value for money and replacement parts which shouldn’t be needed after only 4 years are extremely expensive. Please stay away from this model and save yourself some headaches.

DOES NOT EVEN DESERVE A ONE! I bought all Bosch products for my new kitchen thinking German engineering was the best!!! Well, think again! The dishwasher is great, the slide in gas stove is ok but surface scratches at the slightest contact. My complaint is the 24 electric wall oven that I paid close to $ 2,000 for. You set it at 350, the light indicating it has reached the temperature goes off when it is at 325 degrees, when it reaches 350 it then moves on to 400 and even goes up to 500 or sometimes goes down again to 350. It is not usable! I complained repeatedly, had a serviceman come more than once and finally Bosch replaced it only to have the same problem all over again!! I even got my electrician to come when the second oven had the same problem but the problem wasnt the electricity! I feel totally cheated and wish I could reach a larger audience with my complaint!

I ordered a $3,300 Bosch double wall oven through Lowes in Feb. 2012 in preparation for our new kitchen in our new house. The oven was installed in May 2012 and I immediately noticed a defect in the surface of the interior panel of the door of the lower oven. I called Bosch for a service tech. They gave me the name of the closest person. He and his grandson came out on May 31st and said they had never seen an oven like that before. I told them not to work on it if they did not know how. They said they could put the new part on, but they didnt even know how to take the door off the lower oven. They ended up dropping it and shattering the layers of glass in the door all over my kitchen floor. I called Bosch and they said they would send the parts for a new door and have a tech from San Antonio come out to put the new door parts together. I was without an oven door for nine (9) weeks. Parts were sent separately in about six boxes. The tech from San Antonio came and got the boxes, and we took some in too. Finally, a teenage looking boy came with the so-called newly put together door. It rattled, had a sharp edge and a gap between the interior metal panel and the glass. I told him it was not right, but he insisted it was. We had to go out of town for three months, but I called the corporate secretary and told her about the poorly put together door and she said she would make sure we got a new door when we got back home in Dec. 2012. We have called repeatedly only to be told someone would be in touch with us very soon to make the necessary repairs. They now say they wont replace the door with a new one as they have been promising. They are terrible to work with and nothing is getting done. I will never buy another Bosch product and will tell anyone I meet not to buy their products.

Bought a Bosch Dishwasher from Currys; after a few weeks I felt it was not washing properly. I rang company sent out a repairman. He said its heating and the arms are turning so its fine. I showed him a stained mug which he took for examination. A few months later it still wasnt washing properly, rang again sent out another Bosch guy. He advised I should have bought elsewhere. Many phone calls to the UK followed. Finally UK said get onto Currys. I went into Currys and explained my situation: dishwasher doesnt wash properly and I cant used dishwasher tablets have to use powder. They were very helpful in the beginning but finally told me that Bosch UK said that their Engineer said it was fine. I have never dealt with such terrible Customer Services as in Bosch UK. They really dont have a clue but dont really want to know your problem. Sadly I have a Bosch washing machine and a Neff oven from the same house. I dread to think how they are going to pan out. It seems to me that Bosch will string you along until your warranty is gone. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM BOSCH OR NEFF AGAIN AND I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE PEOPLE TO DO THE SAME. They are operating under a good name which they achieved and their stuff is now very poor quality. My advice: do as my sister did, buy the cheapest out there it really cant be any worse.

We moved into a new house with new bosch appliances: fridge, stovetop, speed oven and oven. After only TWO years of use, the speed oven digital display is dimming and will need to be replaced with a part for $150, plus labor. When I contacted Bosch, they would not replace the part. The words on the stovetop are already peeling off (Front, Back, etc.) and the buttons on the icemaker are finicky and need to be caressed to work. The dishwasher doesnt clean any better than our old appliances, the stovetop takes forever to boil and the stainless steel finishes are so hard to get clean. I cant make applesauce on the stovetop because the lowest possible setting is too high and burns it (this may be a reflection on using gas instead of electric, weve never had gas before.) I will never intentionally buy Bosch appliances ever again! Our old cheaper appliances were much more reliable. Not worth the cost!

Bosch Customer Service and Product disappointment! In June of 2017, in anticipation of our upcoming kitchen remodel we purchased a Bosch 800 Series 30” Dual Fuel Slide-in Range. Product HD18054U/C. As is often the case in remodels, there was a delay and the project wasn’t started until January 2018. The range was delivered on Feb. 27, 2018 and installed about ten days later. We experienced minor trouble when the keypad started randomly beeping. This happened within a year (early 2019) but we were told that we should unplug the stove, wait a bit, and plug it in again. This seemed to work for a time. We had several episodes but it was not a big problem to follow the “unplug” advice. The problem became significantly worse in March of this year, 2020, beeping at all hours of the day and night. We knew it would be expensive to repair it but finally called a service provider in May. I was charged a service call and the serviceman said he would order the new control panel, but added that I should contact customer service to ask if Bosch would help with the almost $800 cost that I incurred. After two calls and several replies/scans of documents to customer service, I anticipated a positive response. I was never told to WAIT to have the part replaced until I heard back from customer service. I did hear back on June 22nd. I was told that Bosch would do NOTHING. No compensation was offered. My claim was denied. I feel it is very unfair. It certainly seemed as though the “rules” changed during the game after I did everything I was asked to do, submitted all of the paperwork, etc. I am extremely disappointed in the range and in Bosch Customer Service.

Bosch is known for being quiet. That is very important in homes with open floor plans. I have a large center island where the back of the dishwasher is facing a living space. Because it is only about 58 db, it is practically impossible to hear it running. Furthermore, the end of cycle chime is necessary to know when to empty it. The soil sensor seems to work quite well as it will only run as long as there are soiled dishes. The water temperature gets quite hot, so I know unwanted bacteria is eliminated. Dishes always come out squeaky clean. I love the half load cycle and use it frequently. The energy and water usage is very low. I think that most people who own dishwashers think that the whole unit fills with water each time they run a cycle, and so they are reluctant to run the dishwasher. Many folks, unknowingly, use MORE water by doing dishes by hand than they would have done if they had put them on the proper cycle in the dishwasher. If the owner would read the specifications of actual water usage, they would be surprised how little water a full load uses in comparison to rinsing dishes before placing them in. I also like the fact that I can put delicate items, such as crystal and fine china, and know that nothing is going to come out damaged or cracked. The size of most regular household units will fit into a standard 24 wide lower cabinet. I also think the capacity and overall arrangement of the racks gives quite a bit of flexibility, as no two loads contain the same collection of dishes to be washed to be washed at the same time. This particular unit has a very low-profile handle and doesnt interfere with todays contemporary, clean lines in the kitchen. The handle is sturdy and feels secure. My unit is a nice grade of stainless steel, not a thin gauge that would tend to dent easily. The interior is also a food-grade stainless steel that doesnt collect unwanted odors or corrosion from the soap. If you opt for Bosch, you dont have to get a really expensive, high-end model since they are all extremely quiet and easy to use. Bosch also, in my opinion, exudes an element of high quality, even if its a low-end model. Generally, the higher end machines have options and features that most owners rarely use. I believe that Bosch is a good choice for a discriminating buyer who doesnt necessarily have a huge budget, but wants a beautiful, efficient machine that will last a long time. It is a work-horse that will bring compliments from friends and family for years to come as they have a 25 year warranty on their products.

Our Bosch 800 gas slide-in range was purchased in late 2019, installed in February 2020 and the igniter failed in October 2021. The dishes simply do not get clean. Even simple things like coffee cups come out still stained. I end up pre-treating the dishes or handwashing especially stained items. Waste of money. I purchased the Bosch model that was around $500 because of their reputation. They sell machines in the $5000 range. These perhaps could be worth the money. This lower priced model was made to appeal to the average consumer and is very disappointing. It is a quiet machine but that wasnt necessarily important to me. I was especially impressed with the 3rd tray at the top for laying silverware horizontally. This allowed the basket on the bottom tier to be removed and seemed to provide more space. Instead, you find that the silverware simply doesnt get cleaned on the top tray. Furthermore, removal of the basket does not truly allow for that much more room. None of my saucepan lids can fit in the bottom tier unless they are loosely placed on the rim of the basket. Standard size, stainless steel and non-descript, but there are other brands just as elegant that actually clean the dishes. This dishwasher was sold with free packets of Finish. The packets never truly dissolve and you are wondering if you just washed your dishes with hot water. When speaking to a maintenance expert he explained the water doesnt get hot enough to melt the plastic and that is where you realize your energy savings. So why does Bosch promote the Finish packets? Are they that clueless about their own product?

For decades now I have used and preferred Bosch products. Recently I have had an ongoing bad experience with a Bosch dishwasher that I bought last June from Sears. Last January it abruptly stopped working. It was under warranty so I contacted Bosch as Sears does not handle warranty issues. I was told to contact a local service provider. To my regret I called Appliance Marshall repair in Cary Illinois. The idiot they sent made 2 trips and was not able to figure out how to make the warranty repairs. Instead he claimed that water leaking from the brand new custom made to accommodate my new dishwasher had somehow leaked water that damaged the dishwasher, and that it was not covered by warranty. I told him that there was never any such event, and there was no water leak anywhere. The only source of water in that location was the dishwasher. I have pictures that show the floor discolorations and that the leak came from the dishwasher itself. There is no discolouration or drip line on the floor aside from the perimeter of the unit. But since this guy used up my 2 service calls I have to pay for some 3rd party to come out and fix my dishwasher. This has been going on for over 2 months now and I still cannot use my VERY expensive Bosch dishwasher. I should add that during both visits this creep made to my home he made me very uncomfortable by asking irrelevant questions, suggesting friends for repairs to the new home I am remodeling, and really strange behaviour. I hope these guys are subject to a successful criminal background check prior to being sent into peoples homes. Anyway, prior to his deciding and informing Bosch that he could not accomplish the warranty repairs, I called and emailed Appliance Marshall repair that he never be sent to my home again since he made me so uncomfortable. Since an accurate and verifiable diagnosis of this unit was never made I feel that I have a Bosch product in my kitchen that is a fire and electrocution hazard. I just want to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Bosch.

This Bosch wall oven is the worst purchase I have ever made. Sometimes it shuts itself off during baking. Sometimes the broiler turns on by itself during baking, causing the oven to overheat to extreme temperatures. Every computer component was replaced while under warranty; some components more than once. It was finally determined to be unrepairable by the repair person who had been here numerous times. The warranty company sent another repair company who told them that the oven did not fail during the one time that they were here, so the warranty co. told me that I had to pay the service call fee & that they would not return. Bosch refused to accept any responsibility for the product. As the extended warranty has now expired, I am now without an oven or any recourse.

We had ordered three appliances from Bosch all of which were the black stainless 800 series (the gas range, refrigerator & dishwasher). Both the refrigerator and the range came had a problem. The refrigerator has such a heavy lean on our level floors that even the adjustable legs couldn’t extend down 2” to make it level. We had called Bosch and as requested had a third party arranged by Bosch to inspect, which concluded that it needed to be replaced. We then waited 2 months for customer service to produce a code for reordering, during this time we did not have a fridge. We spoke to numerous customer service reps. At which point had an urgent request of the manager(who was the one responsible to place the reorder code on the product) but the manager could not return this request until 2 months later. The customer service reps. Would tell you one thing then another completely opposite until I had recorded it so that the rep could listen to what was said. Once the new item arrived, upon delivery they noticed that the doors were all finished in different finishes. The bottom freezer door was a different finish then the upper doors and the handles were different from the upper and lower doors.(Quality inspection?) So naturally they needed to replace all the doors off of the unit. These two refrigerator somehow passed quality inspection?!? And it was not just that item, our range had arrived with a bronze coloured vent piece that completely didn’t match their black stainless steel and the rep. Had agreed that they don’t know why it was like that...When I told them of this and they asked for the item info on the inside of the unit (with the rep on the phone) I opened the oven door to find a large 8” piece of bent metal with insulation exposed in the interior of our “quality inspected” range! The third party had to write an inspection report on this too even though it was clear as day that this was a safety issue/ and that this item clearly was not inspected. This item as well took 2 months for replacement., it too fell on the shoulders of customer service manager who could not produce a reorder code until 2 months later. And we did not have our range or refrigerator at this time seeing as their customer service team reassured me on 4 separate times that it would be 5-7 days for processing.I would never wish upon anyone to have to go through what we did with Bosch. Months and months of phone calls, and no appliances for months, and how we have been treated. We thought we were buying quality products with a company that could offer customer service. This was not the case. Please do yourself a favour and buy from a company that you can trust. BOSCH is not that company. And No Bosch has not figured out why they have a bronze vent piece on their black stainless steel range and the replacement range arrived with the same bronze vent piece. But at least the insulation was not visible this time. Buy quality inspected appliance from anyone but Bosch!

The stainless steel front of the range oven (which must weigh about 5 lbs) which covers the entire door came off and almost broke my toes. The range trim plastic piece which holds the glass onto the oven front broke. We had Sears come out to fix it and they said it was loose and screwed it back on. Then the glass front again fell off, luckily when I was not there. Then we bought $200 worth of new plastic trim pieces and screws from Bosch authorized dealer. Again, the front of the heavy stainless steel door came off. Now, Im just throwing this horror range oven which wants to cut my toes off. It is no longer repairable and I wished I never spent the $200 worth of parts to try to get it fixed. Whatever you do, do not buy the Bosch Gas freestanding range HGS445UC/02 if you don’t want your toes broken.

I purchased a Bosch stove from the builder of my new home. Apparently there is a problem with the controls that turn the burners on. I was told by the Bosch rep that this is a safety problem that needs to be addressed. After weeks of trying to get this resolved and hours of waiting on hold and for a repairman I just keep getting the runaround and am living with a product that I was told by Bosch and the repairman that has a safety problem. This is the fifth Bosch product I have purchased and will never purchase another. We own a Wall oven and microwave combo - HBLP751UC. The oven part over the years would just freeze that is none of the controls would work till the breaker was switched on and off. Now the microwave switches are broken and parts are not available for 2-3 weeks or longer. So the whole unit is out of action for that long. When purchasing I should have done my due diligence and checked but these are made in China and I was hoping for German reliability. I could have done much better at a cheaper price. Now I am stuck with this without service from Bosch. When I asked Bosch for service they said they do not have service people in my area and to use someone in the market who is certified. Check if they have service in your area before purchase and also buy a warranty for sure. Sorry I do not have anything positive to say about Bosch appliances.

The second complaint, they set up a warranty service call a week out from my reporting it failed. Repair date came and went. They said they were overbooked, but would be happy to put us on the list in a week from now. I asked to be put next in line and they said, We cant inconvenience our customers like that. We purchased the Bosch microwave/speed oven (800 series) with an extended warranty along with several other Bosch appliances during a kitchen remodel in 2016. During the two years we have owned the appliances, the microwave has broken down three times. Boschs customer service has been atrocious! Many weeks waiting for an appointment and then more time waiting for parts and subsequent visits from a repairman. Most recently, the control panel was completely replaced on 8/17/18. This has been a horrible experience made worse today when I discovered during a baby shower that the Bosch warming drawer installed under the oven units had been damaged during the repair to the microwave! Never again will I recommend or purchase a Bosch product.

While I purchased my Bosch electric range in September of 2014 and am out of warranty, I had expected a better experience when the inner glass door shattered during the self-cleaning cycle, especially as I rarely use the oven and this was only the 3rd time I used the self-clean feature. When I called Bosch, the agent I spoke with seemed to agree with me that there must be a defect of some kind for this to happen, and she made an appointment for a technician to assess the issue at no charge to me. I may have been somewhat naive, but I was led to believe that Bosch would likely review the issue and not charge me for the repair as the damage clearly occurred due to a defect in the appliance and through no fault of mine. The technician they sent was awesome, arrived on time, assessed the problem and told me he would order the glass. As I didnt hear back from Bosch, I assumed that the agent had brought my issue to the attention of her supervisor and, since I didnt hear back, assumed there would be no charge to me. Well the technician is in my kitchen repairing my oven door and asked if Id heard from Bosch as to the charge. When I advised I hadnt, he suggested I call. I was shocked to find out that no one had made an effort to send my issue up their chain of command, nor was I able to speak with a supervisor as there was none available. The best they would offer, as the technician was already doing the repair job, was a 20% discount off the replacement glass.I also had an issue with my Bosch microwave one month out of warranty when the turntable motor stopped working. I was told I would have to pay not only for the replacement piece, but for the technicians visit, but I wasnt told that until the repair guy showed up at my door and told me that I would be seeing lots of him because they dont make appliances the way they used to. I sent him away on principle and hired an appliance repair guy to do the job - it wasnt cheaper but I couldnt get past the guys attitude.Had I known I would also be charged to repair a defective appliance, I would probably have hired the same appliance repair guy to do the job. The only thing that made this experience less horrible was the technician they sent - he was prompt, efficient and clearly knew what he was doing. I bought Bosch Appliances because everything I read indicated they were absolutely top of the line. I am severely disappointed in the product and their poor customer service problem resolution.

Bosch double oven HBL 57 - I have been happy with this oven until today. I went to use the self-cleaning feature for the first time and the glass in the door shattered into a million pieces approx. 1/2 hour into the cleaning cycle. I called Boschs 800-944-2904 number and explained what happened and that I felt they should replace the glass since it was obviously defective or would not have shattered. I was told no they could not do that but they could give me a service provider number in our area. When she determined that they didnt have a provider in our area, she said I should look in the phone book for someone to repair the oven. She did, after I asked her, provide me with a service provider in the nearest large city to us, but she left me with the impression that she could care less about providing good customer service. I will be sure and tell everyone I can how helpful Bosch is when you have a problem!

I wish I had something good to say about my Bosch kitchen appliances. I redid my kitchen oven, cooktop, exhaust fan, microwave, and dishwasher with Bosch products. I lasted about a month with the dishwasher and told my husband I wasnt going to live the next five years with it. I replaced it with a Kenmore and couldnt be happier. The Bosch racks were terribly, inefficiently configured - that was my worst complaint. It smelled sour. The microwave is OK as far as doing the job, but its not handy in any way and is impossible to clean because for one thing I cant reach the back of it without a step stool. You have to put in the number of minutes and seconds every time you use it. The convection oven doesnt thrill me at all. My cookies turn out pasty and it doesnt seem to do anything any faster at any temperature.Same old oven as far as Im concerned. I bang my head on the exhaust fan whenever I try to see what is on the back burner. The burners on the cooktop are too big for the pots, except for the smallest ones. The knobs on the cooktop get very hot and are hard to adjust with a pot on them. Lets see if there is anything good I have to say. They look pretty, but the engineers who designed them have never even boiled water much less cooked a meal, and they have certainly never cleaned them or even used them.

Washes dishes but often leaves residue. Doesnt dry the plastics. Honestly, I use the main wash; pots and pans is too hot most of the time, and the quick wash doesnt really clean them all. I dont like the arrangement of the racks. Bowls dont fit well on either level, I could help Bosch find a much better way so loading is easier. Its comparable to others in the same price range. I purchased my first Bosch appliance (dishwasher) on 6/1/17 after making note of an Installation Rebate offer from Bosch via a Bosch Visa Prepaid Card. The stated purchase date was required to be between 5/17/17 and 6/7/17, which it was. I immediately completed the rebate form even though the latest required postmark must be by 7/7/17 (over a month away). They promised reimbursement within 8 weeks and gave a website and phone number to check its status. After 4 1/2 weeks I received a typed response from Bosch saying that they were unable to process the request because it did not meet the cash register receipt requirement (not dated within the time period designated for this offer). I immediately contacted Lowes, where I purchased the dishwasher. I spoke with the manager on duty and showed him the copies of the rebated offer, register receipt, response from Bosch, etc. The manager on duty phoned Bosch rebates directly and verified that the date on the receipt was within the required date range. He told me that Bosch claimed that the month of 6 looked like a 5. We found this to be strange because it was obvious to both of us that it was a 6 for June. It was/could also be verified by the date on my charge card. If one person was in doubt, due to poor eyesight, they could of easily asked someone else or used a magnifying glass; which shouldnt of been necessary. Anyway, the Lowes manager spoke with Bosch that it was the correct date, and that they would immediately process the rebate. The Lowes manager said I should receive it within 2 weeks. After 2 1/2 weeks I checked their website for my rebate status. It recognized my information and gave me a tracking number; plus stated I had to allow more time. Two more weeks later, I had still not received it (4 1/2 weeks after the Lowes managers phone call, and 9 weeks after purchase). I checked the website again for status. This time it never recognized my name/address (even though I had also completed warranty information on 6/20/17 after 6/18/17 installation). It never recognized my tracking number that it gave me 2 weeks earlier; and when I called their phone number, it never recognized my phone number. They had now lost all of my information (or so they claimed). I (we) both thought their first excuse was inexcusable, but possibly a mistake; but after the 2nd 4 1/2 week period it gives every appearance of being a scam (intentional). I no longer believe they intend to honor their rebate offers, and just expect most consumers to forget about it, not care about it, neglect to make copies before sent in, etc.; and just pocket the savings (this time for $145).

If negative stars were possible they have sincerely earned it. We spent nearly 11,000 dollars in appliances and the combination wall oven microwave has never worked correctly. Bosch has tried and failed to fix the appliance three times. I have spent over 12 hours on the phone with Bosch, most of it on hold, trying to rectify this situation. I have asked for assistance to get the appliances replaced to no avail. On 1/3/18 they came and fixed the appliance for the third time. This fix was to replace the touch panel because the second trip to the house the technician replaced it with the wrong touch panel. When that technician was questioned about it he said, “That’s the right one for your oven” instead of holding the two next to each other to determine that it was in fact the wrong one. Then a different technician came to replace that touch panel with the correct one. That one, on the first use came up with fault codes saying that the electrical was too hot. Ten minutes later another code came on that says communication error now the oven won’t come on at all. I called to request that the appliances be taken out of my house and explained to them my concerns of faulty wiring. I also told them of my concerns of fire hazard and having my newly built home burned down. The representative told me that it needed to go to management and that I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. I was not contacted and after 72 hours I called them back to find out the first representative didn’t even send my file to management. I explained the situation and was told that it would have to go to management. I then asked to be transferred to management because I had no faith that I would be contacted. I was finally transferred to an “escalation manager” who was unable to help me and she transferred me to the “escalation supervisor” named Shawn. Shawn then explained to me that they would never refund my money for the appliances and that I was stuck them, but they might be able to replace the oven. I had already been told by two representatives that refunding the appliances was a possibility only to be told by this extremely unprofessional representative named Shawn that was not an option. He then told me it would have to go to management and I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. I cannot stress enough my displeasure with everything about Bosch most of all by their customer service. They are absolutely one hundred percent unprofessional hacks that will never get my business again. I will never buy anything with a Bosch affiliation again. I bought this oven in Jul 2011. Over the past year the grill filament started to warp. It is now extremely warped and quite dangerous, soon likely to snap, and then the oven will be unusable. This has happened through normal and moderate use of the product. I have contacted Bosch (it took many many emails to get a reply) and they say they dont view it as a product fault or design defect, but as an isolated incident. They wont repair it for free, as I requested, but instead demand around 100 to repair it.I bought a Bosch oven specifically because I wanted a quality product - I paid for the brand name. I expected 10 years of use (my last cooker lasted 20 years) but I get a measly 3 -3.5 years and Bosch think this is reasonable. I dont think thats good quality by a long stretch, and I dont see how or why Bosch should be known for their reliability.

Absolutely love this stove. I use the convection more than anything because it seems to cook more quickly and food tastes better on this function. The stove top definitely heats up even on low knobs so be careful! Always start stovetop on lower settings especially if you have expensive pots and pans! When you are cooking in oven, be sure to press Kitchen Timer and not Oven Timer or the oven will automatically turn off after your done cooking which is nice but I always use Kitchen Timer button so that I don’t have to keep reheating the oven if I am cooking more than one dish or if I need to continue to time items on stove top. The depth for dishes is larger than my last stove but not as wide no complaints but just depends on what size pans your using. I love it!

I bought my new Bosch HBL5450UC 30 electric oven in November of 2013. Last night as I was cooking dinner, I had fully heated the oven to 400 degrees and had food baking for about 10 minutes when the interior glass door cracked and fell all over my floor (and my dog). Luckily its tempered glass, but it was a pain to clean up and scared the hell out of my dog (and me). Just called Bosch customer support and they are sending a technician out to fix it. This was not a cheap oven and I bought it because the brand is supposed to be highly reliable. I can say their customer service so far has been good, so thats something. Apparently they will either replace the glass or the door, not sure which yet. As far as I can tell, this has only been an issue for other people with running the self-clean mode (I was simply cooking in it).

We got a real nice deal from Lowes on a Bosch electric range. We had been looking all over for a new one during a slight remodel. Saw the range for approx. half price - clearance - and jumped on it... Our budget (or interest) really did not include thinking high-end. The range is great, with all the bells and whistles we wouldnt have gotten otherwise - quick heating ribbon elements, convection, roasting, and warming oven features, nice black glass finish. Plus, it gets light use from us two empty-nesters. Then about 2 months ago, the glass panel on the oven door just plain fell off! (How can anyone make something that just sits there and then falls apart!?) Luckily, it didnt break. Upon investigation, wifey found a screw in the storage drawer but there are 3 screw holes holding it on via bottom brackets. Looked to me as though the other 2 screws had never been put in. Not only I, but my PhD Mechanical Engineer son-in-law, could not figure out how to get the panel back on... After fooling with it for 2 weeks, I finally bit the bullet and pretty much disassembled the entire oven door to get it back together. During this ordeal, the plastic strip on the top of the door also broke. It now awaits my precision application of super glue to fix. Havent done that yet just because Im sick of fooling with the thing. I will say that during this deal, I called the Bosch hotline for some expert advice, and the guy I spoke to was as friendly and compassionate as any of his breed I have ever dealt with. But even though we both had the same web page in front of us, he cheerfully admitted he was clueless as to how to get the panel back on. All he could suggest was replacing the entire oven door, even though he agreed that that was overkill for the problem which compared to the Bosch dishwasher we bought about a year and a half ago (i.e., now out of warranty)... well, I only thought I knew what an appliance problem was until I met the Bosch SHE3AR5XUC!! It will not drain completely. The detergent will not dispense. The dishes will not dry, let alone sanitize. It is noisy... It is a **. According to my web-based research, I can take it apart and see if something is stuck in the pump impeller, and take more apart and replace or somehow fix the detergent dispenser... Oh, yeah, thats me. Like so many other posters here, we felt pretty good about ourselves having a kitchen with so-called high end appliances. Instead, we feel as though we got suckered into thinking life would be a breeze with the wonderful Bosch stuff in our all-electric dream kitchen. I intend over the next few days to visit the big-box retailer we got our D/W from and state that the only remedy is total replacement. I doubt they will go for that. I will then go to another big-boxer and buy a new D/W. My advice to anyone who has read this far and is considering getting a Bosch anything... your life is too short and your time too valuable to roll the Bosch dice.

About four years ago, I purchased three Bosch appliances at Best Buy. Oven, microwave and stove top. The microwave does not work properly since the time it was purchased, uneven cooking, takes a long time to heat up or cook food. Bosch technician took a look and said, That is how it works. Today is the oven and microwave, are not working at all. Bosch repair service is costly, diagnose, parts and repairs. Their soonest appointment to repair them will be in two months. I called different appliance repair services, but they do not work with Bosch appliances. I would not recommend Bosch appliances.

This product hasnt worked since day one. Customer service run around. Product has been worked on multiple times, told couldnt replace until worked on, now that the same code has come up again they say sorry cant do anything warranty up... (just one year) on a product that never worked to begin with. We bought extended warranty, still claims they take no responsibility and point blame to store bought from. Bosch delays all service calls for multiple weeks before coming and when the product broke 2 days after being fixed (supposedly), We had to wait again. They conveniently wont replace and then want no responsibility. This is the only review I have ever written and sadly I am unable to use my oven at all. This is very difficult as I have a family. 3,000 dollars is a lot of money to have a decorative storage unit. Please go with another company that will respect the consumer. I honestly dont know how this company is in business as we were dealing with the senior customer service representative, Courtney **, who completely disregarded the fact that this product was dysfunctional since day one. This company needs to reevaluate customer service and acknowledge that sometimes a product is faulty and you as a business need to stand behind your product.

In the last few months I bought a trimmer from Amazon and was delighted with the product, however recently the battery started to spark and the trimmer now doesn’t work. I called up the service centre 2 days ago, I spoke to the most delightful lady who was really helpful and explained to me what the process was to get the trimmer fixed. Explained that I would need to print off a courier label that will need to be taped to a box that will hold trimmer because the a third party courier will be picking it up. I explained I don’t have a printer at home and live a in a small remote village and will not be sure when I can get to a printer. She said that it’s fine and that she will send me a pre print receipt and I can print that and then call her back to sort out a delivery.I didn’t receive the email with the label so I decided to call back today to try and get it sent back to me. I dial the number and give my reference number and let the man know I’m waiting for an email. To my surprise the man on the phone was rude and unprofessional, belittling me by saying that is not the process and that I need to arrange it and then get the email to me once it’s been processed.I try to explain the situation with the printer to get the label. He said, No need for a label but you need proof of purchase in the box. I said well printing is not really an option for me because of my situation to which he gave me ‘tough luck’ attitude. Then went on to say, Well do you want to arrange it or not? I replied to enquiry can I arrange it for a future date, which he said, No. We only do it 24 hours in advance, then he was of no help and pressured me to answer like I didn’t have time to even think about whether this is an option for me. And then he went on to say, The previous person you spoke to told you the wrong information. I’ll look up who it is and have them retrained. Disgusting attitude bad mouthing your own colleagues like that. This has been one of my worst experiences with customer services given my initial interaction was one of the most pleasantest conversations. Poor customer service and I’ll be glad this is the last time I buy from you again.

12 year old double oven needed electronics replaced 6 or 7 years ago. Now two different companies have sent technicians out six or seven times and no one can repair it. Pretty much all electronic boards and touch pads replaced multiple times to no avail. lt resets itself spontaneously for date & time randomly for no reason we can figure out. What seems to be happening is the following: if we are in a cooking mode, such as sabbath mode, and the date and time resets while the oven is on, it becomes impossible to turn the oven off. When the reset screen is on pushing the off button does not change the display, and appears to do nothing. When the date and time has been reset even though the Sabbath mode is still on, the screen does not show it. Pushing the off button also does not change the display and nothing happens. It seems that we need to reset the date and time first and then turn the same sabbath mode on again and once it is on again then it will shut off.The odds of this happening during sabbath mode operation is the greatest as that mode is on for 24 hours at a minimum at a time. Although I suppose the clock could reset itself during any cooking mode. This is potentially dangerous as the oven may inadvertently be left on, and I cannot actually determine that it remains at exactly the same temperature and mode it was in before the reset happened. In fact, earlier the oven we just continue to get hotter and hotter heating up the wall around it until we turned off the main circuit breaker. We paid almost $1,000 for service. What do we do now?

Let me start by saying I have lived in 2 apartments with a combined total of 6 Bosch appliances, 3 of which have failed. In my old apartment, we had the Axxis Washer and Dryer (top/bottom) units. The dryer never dried. After numerous service calls which my landlord paid for, it finally worked. The washer also leaked water extensively, causing the hardwood floor boards to come up.In my new apartment, we have the exact same washer and dryer which have worked fine. Problem? The cooktop and oven. Both failed the same exact month. The cooktop igniter would not stop clicking and the electric oven would not heat, even though it was receiving power and all else functioned. I had a technician from Bosch who came to diagnose. He knew less about ovens than he did English. Could not understand a word he said. He fussed around with the cooktop for an hour and proclaimed some part to be broken. Cost? $800. Are you for real? The cooktop NEW is $700. As for the oven, he claimed the element needed replacement. Cost? $1000. I kicked him out of my house and they still billed me $160 for the service call. Bosch, you are the absolute worst. I will never buy an appliance from you again.

I had a very bad experience with Bosch. I bought a top-of-the-line Bosch stove about 9 years ago. Its been falling apart for the last 3-4 years. First the broiler stopped working, then the oven door wouldnt close, then a burner stopped working. I called Bosch expecting some level of service and care--after all Bosch prides itself on its reputation. I was told that I would need proof of purchase as well as an estimate of the costs and then maybe they would give me a 10-20% discount on parts. I expressed my dissatisfaction and I was told that after 9 years we are sorry that you feel that way. I explained my husband had been sick and died and that was why I had not called for repairs. Once again I was told sorry you feel that way. It was very dismissive and I will definitely not be buying a Bosch product again.

I really love my oven and it came with the house when we purchased it. As much as I love it, I am not sure I would spend the extra money if I had to replace it. I have had GE in the past and was equally satisfied with that performance.

I purchased and installed the Bosch HMB8050/HBL8750 stacked microwave/convection oven and built-in oven pair in 2011. The microwave/convection oven was great in terms of roasting small items and we used it very frequently. That is until the convection part of the oven did not deliver the preset temperature and was making rattling noises. The repair technician determined that it was the drive shaft of the fan is broken causing temperature not distributing properly. We went to all the appliance parts suppliers and could not find the part as it has been discontinued. I also contacted Bosch directly, after being re-directed to 3 or 4 different numbers and confusion with the part number, they said no part was available. We tried to replace the microwave/convection oven with another Bosch but the model is discontinued. New models are now all flushed with the cabinets which means my existing cabinet has to be rebuilt and will look out of place with the existing built-in oven. Found a different make microwave/convection oven ($700) that may fits in the existing cut out but discovered that the Bosch microwave/convection oven and built-in oven shared the same power source!! The Bosch representative recommended replacing the complete system!!! So, because of a $180 part that Bosch discontinued will require me to take out a working microwave AND a perfectly working built-in oven and put in another Bosch $5,000 to $7, 000 combination oven in?? NO WAY! Will I buy another Bosch again? NO WAY! It is absolutely ridiculous to discontinue a part barely 10 years after a product in the market. Shame on Bosch.
