The main problem is the ice maker. The waterline frequently is clogged, necessitating service repair. The design of the ice receptacle is backwards, so every time you open the freezer, ice falls to the floor of the freezer, making you reach back to remove the ice from the floor of the freezer and the kitchen floor.

I purchased a Front loader Electrolux brand washer and dryer on February 19 from Home Depot for a Presidents Day sale. I was given a delivery date on March 3. Four days before they were supposed to deliver, Electrolux called me and asked if they could deliver on March 31, because my dryer was back ordered and they would only deliver them together. I told them that was very inconvenient because I had no other washer and dryer and I had a 6 month old baby. I asked them what I should do. They told me to call Home Depot. Home Depot was helpful, they said they would reimburse me $300 the cost it would be for laundry service. On March 28, I called Electrolux to make sure they were delivering my washer/dryer on the 31st. They told me that again my dryer was backordered and they would not be delivering it until May 16. They said there was nothing they could do that I would have to contact Home Depot for any help. I asked if they were planning on just not calling me and letting me sit around all day waiting for my delivery to not happen and she said, Well, we try and contact our customers but we dont always get to everyone. Needless to say, Im fuming angry and I am going to try and cancel my order and find something else.

I will never own anything again that Electrolux has anything to do with! They have replaced my oven 3 times, my dishwasher 4 times, worked on my warming draw twice and my microwave went out right after warranty went out. Oven liner warped & porcelain popped in places. Dishwasher leaked twice & the door seal messed up. Its messed up again. The liner of oven is warped again, the seal on dishwasher is messed up again. There should definitely be a recall on these things. Electrolux did extend the warranties on them, but theyre out now. They said at one time they would exchange them for Frigidaire, but then they reneged. They were not cheap.

My husband and I bought an Electrolux refrigerator (model #EI27BS26JS8) is August 2012. It is now on its 5th repair! Certainly happy that we bought an extended protection plan. Would never buy another electrolux product. Obviously, a new design is warranted.

I phoned up customer service regarding our oven - for whatever reason its gone all black inside. We heat it up to get rid of fatty deposits but this is something Ive never seen before. Its still under guarantee. A man from service force came out and took pictures of the inside then sent it to Electrolux. After a phone call the lady came back to me to say its not faulty and get a professional clean. You cant do this with a self-clean oven and already looked at this option before ringing. The top oven also cuts out when turning on but according to Electrolux its not faulty. We cant use the oven as black deposits go over the food when turning up the heat. After telling them this they promised to ring me up in the afternoon as they were going to look at this again. Anyway no phone call - left in limbo over Easter no cooker nightmare. Gave a mark of 1 because at least the lady on customer service seemed nice!!!

I purchased a stove in December, at first I was happy with it. After a few weeks the burner stopped working, the oven doesnt work, the racks in the oven changed color. The paint is peeling off the stove racks, when I bake the knobs are too hot to touch. When I purchased the stove I also bought extended warranty on it. I called Home Depot where I originally brought the stove and they sent someone over. The person was supposed to write a report, and send it to Electrolux. Electrolux was supposed to call us back in two weeks after that. They never called, we had to call and complain, so they sent a technician of their own over. He came to our house, took a picture of the stove and left. He then wrote in his report that we should learn to use the oven. That was very disrespectful because he didnt even bother checking anything, not only that but maybe if the stove worked properly in the first place there wouldnt be a problem. Its March right now, and no one has done anything, Electrolux just keeps giving us numbers to call because they cant do anything. What was the point of having a warranty if it doesnt do anything? Very unhappy with this product and would not recommend.

We built our dream house in late 2013. We purchased a washer, dryer, refrigerator, double oven, gas cooktop, dishwasher and an under counter ice maker. All ELECTROLUX. The washer is full of mold, the oven cooks unevenly, my refrigerator ice maker is unreliable - having its own mind and only sporadically makes ice. At one point after several months of use it dispensed pieces of styrofoam along with ice cubes. Have already replaced the dishwasher due to excessive service calls and mold. The latest slap in the face was my under counter ice maker just stopped working. Called Electrolux. They sent a repair person out - the service call was $145.00 - it was a crack in the propeller on the circulation pump. To replace, the estimate was about $800. It was only used a handful of times, mostly during the holidays. It will be on the curb for trash day. Electrolux products are horrible and so is their customer service department.

I am writing about Electrolux EW28BS85KS5 French Door Refrigerator. This refrigerator was a replacement for the Generation One that had the terrible problem with the ice maker and was subject of a Class Action Lawsuit. My was replaced before the Class Action even started. After many many stressful conversations with Electrolux, they made me buy an extended warranty after the fact and replaced my refrigerator with this is one. I have had this fridge now about 5 and a half years. This fridge started to have temperature problems in June of this year. The temperature of the freezer and also the fridge would go haywire. It would go up then down a bit, then up to high with the alarm sounding, then down again etc. This refrigerator also developed a rusty spot on the back of the fridge where the ice maker is. Now, the rusty spot has a thick ice on it on the outside.I ended up calling out the repair company listed on Electroluxs website. They told me that the defroster is broken and needs to be replaced ($400 for the par). They also informed me that the rusty spot with the ice forming on it cannot be fixed. There is no solution for that. They called Electrolux many times and it is not fixable. They told me that I am better off getting another refrigerator. This will leak in the back, damage my hardwood floor and also cause mold to grow. Of course, I contacted Electrolux and they are no help. Nothing can be done. They cannot and will not do anything for me. I am out of the initial investment of $4K.I am shopping for another fridge. Of course, I am not happy that I have to spend $$$ on a fridge when I only had the replacement fridge for a short period of time. In my opinion 5 and half years should not be the lifespan of a fridge. Of course, I am frustrated, wouldnt you be? I am contacting the AGs office again to file a complaint. If Electrolux had the willingness to stand behind their products, it would eliminate so many customer complaints. But, they do not care of good customer service and repeat business. Too bad for them.

Our Electrolux Fridge model EI23BC60KS (ELECTROLUX, REF F/S 24D, FRENCH DOOR, F/D, 23CUFT, 24D, HDN HNG, I/M) started overheating about 9 months post purchase. Since then weve taken at least 12 days off work so far to have service technicians come check it out (6x now) and then waited approx a week to get a second visit where they replaced a different part each time or turned it off. Worst is that every time, weve lost hundreds of dollars in food and we have a baby so had to purchase a mini fridge to at least keep his basic items like milk cool. When I reached out to Electrolux Canada Head office the last time, they indicated they couldnt do anything other than paying for parts given it was the same issue identified during warranty period because I didnt purchase replacement insurance (this was two days post warranty period). Again the same thing happened so this will be our 7th call to a servicing company. This is the second set of Electrolux appliances (we had them in our old house as well and I recommended them to friends and family given no their sleek design). Its so not worth it though unless youre ok having a fridge that doesnt actually function. This has been the worst product and customer support experience Ive had in my life. I paid a lot of money for a fridge that didnt even last 9 months, lost hundreds of dollars in food, taken several days off work to try and resolve and still no solution or support from Electrolux whatsoever.

Now in October 2015 the ice maker is broken again. All they did is offer me $719.73, extended 2 year warranty. That is a joke, since they know theyre selling a defective frige because many people have that ice maker problem. The service techs pointed that out when they replaced the ice maker. Shortly after installation, the ice maker stopped working. Service call in Nov 2010, replaced several parts on it, working again. Believe the ice maker was replaced. In June 2012, again the ice maker is not working. Aug 2012, ice maker not working AGAIN!! Jan 2013, again ice maker not working. May 2015, the ice maker stopped working. Again the auth tech repair comes, and tells us that there is nothing else they can do. They replaced every part they could and STILL NO ICE!!! We did purchase the extended warranty, but now the warranty is expired and the service company will not even answer our phone calls or come anymore. They know what the problem is, but cant get parts from Electrolux to fix it. They have other owners who have the same problems, and they cant fix their ice maker problems either. CONSUMER BEWARE!! We purchased Electrolux dishwasher, electric range, and fridge; have had for 4 years. First the ice maker handle broke. I ordered one from Electrolux thinking it was out of warranty. Later I found we had purchased extended warranty. By this time, the digital display on the range was not working so we called for service repair. We purchased from Lowes so their service company was A&E. They came, looked at the stove, and said they ordered a control module which I disagreed with. I said it needed the clock display module, but who was I to argue because I am not an appliance repair person, but I am a General Motors and Subaru master technician. I discussed with the service person that I had already paid for and installed a new ice maker control module not realizing it was still under warranty. So I proposed to him, “You order me a new ice module as I still have the old broken one to turn in under warranty. You can tell your company you replaced it. If you like, just leave the new module with me because if it’s broken this soon it’s bound to break again.” So the parts come and so does a different repair person. He gives me the ice module and then shows me the control board which I tell him is not the right part, but he says he is going to install it anyway. He tells me he has never worked on an Electrolux. To make long story short, he broke my cook top, had to order a new cook top, and he also ordered the clock module that I knew was the problem. They never did get the cook top mounted correctly and now my icemaker is broken again. The water and ice will not shut off, so I get the new ice module and install it...It’s junk right out of the box. I called Electrolux; they could care less...DO NOT BUY THESE APPLIANCES.

Not only was our washer and dryer late, but when they arrived, the stacking kit (that we purchased with it) AND the dryer vent did not come with. I tried calling like 10 different numbers to not get ANY help, still didnt. So when the delivery people came, they couldnt even set it up for us. Now we had to go back to Home Depot, explain, and show them we paid. They had trouble contacting them! So its going to be another week plus of waiting for the kit! That comes to almost 7 total weeks of waiting when they were originally scheduled to be here November 6 (originally with a 3 week waiting period). It is now November 27 and delivery date for this part is December 5. Im livid. Customer service reps are bogus and people didnt do their job right.

I hate them! We have had them for 2 years and we have had nothing but problems, and the repair man and I are on first name bases! Last week, he was here to replace the heating elements. Today, I washed 4 loads of laundry and just put the 5th load going and noticed the screen is blank but lit up. The machine is working so far, but its not done yet either! We saved and saved, and spent $1200 per unit for this! Never again! We had a front loader before and it was fine. We have a large family, 10 kids and 2 adults, so it gets used a lot and we were told this would be the perfect machine for our family. This turned out to be the biggest mistake we have ever made! I have been sure to tell my friends and family this also! We are friends with he people that sold us these machines and I shared my complaints with them as well. I will only buy Maytag and top loaders! On top of the current problem with the washer screen, it also leaks in the front and has now rusted the front of the machine because of this. A zipper took a very small nick in the rubber gasket. This by the way is the second gasket we have had on this machine and looks like number 3 at $125.00 per gasket will be on it again! I cant believe the price we paid for these in the beginning and now with repair bills. Im very unhappy!

Buyer beware, as you can see all over this site the Electrolux refrigerator has a long term known problem. I have experienced the same problems as others, within the first 30 days after purchase I had 5 tech visits to fix the moisture problem coming out of our ice machine. They finally got it to stop dripping, or so we thought. What we have found, now outside of warranty, is that the dripping water was being diverted to the rear of the unit. Building up moisture in the rear insulation of the unit causing the rear wall to swell and rusting the back panel from the inside out. We learned of this because one morning my wife went to get ice and a weird noise happened and the fridge went out. We found that the swelling caused the ice machine to dislodge and a wire fell into the ice, froze in the ice and then was torn out when we turned on the ice maker for ice.We contacted Electrolux and they had another tech come out. The solution - put a 2 foam pad on the back of the unit. So now I have moisture inside of the internal insulation, a fried motherboard, wires exposed and my counter depth unit sticks out of the built in cabinet! To add insult to injury they agreed verbally to provide a labor concession on the ice maker if I bought the parts. After 30 days of arguing I agreed to buy the parts and now they said they never agreed to a labor concession!!! This has been a horribly frustrating process, so do your homework before purchasing from Electrolux. Of the 5 appliances we bought for our new home 3 of them required service in the first 12 months (fridge, microwave and dishwasher). I just wish that Electrolux owned up to their known moisture issue and even outside of warranty stood behind their product. This same issue has been going on for years but I guess they can get by with it! I hope this helps.

I decided to buy two higher END APPLIANCES thinking they would serve us well and add value to our home. WRONG! My refrigerator ice maker never worked properly. Finally I had it checked and repaired for about $600.00. Not many people service these products. Now the dishwasher broke! I called for assistance and they could not help me fix it (I removed the cover directed) then I said I will not pay for this to be fixed. They offered 50% off of parts to repair. I am in business. Parts are marked up at least 3 to 5 times the cost. So they are still making money. I said, fine, as long as I do not pay for service. They replied, cant help you there. Well, how insulting so I could be on the hook for a $300-$600 service call plus 50% of parts! I said, I am fair lets do this, Ill pay for the first $100 in service and 50% of parts. That is fair. If this product wasnt a bad product major repairs would not be necessary. So they could have used the money they would have made on the parts to pay for the balance of the service call. Please note we are a small household. Mother, Grandmother and daughter. These products are not overused or abused! NEVER BUY ELECTROLUX...ITS A WASTE OF MONEY!! IT WILL NOT LAST! THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS! We like the appearance and ease of use. It was fairly easy to figure out operations. Like the extra warming burner. The oven cooks evenly. We like the ability to customize burners to the size of the pan. The smooth top is easy to wipe clean. We like the self cleaning oven. The delivery men were prompt and courteous. They bolted it securely so it can't tip over which is a nice safety feature.

My husband and I purchased an Electrolux refrigerator from Lowes in March of 2017. In May of 2017 we moved into our new home that was just built. In August, 2017, I came home to water in my kitchen that was coming thru the ceiling of my finished basement. A repairman was sent out to replace a part. In September, 2017, I was standing at my kitchen sink and the water dispenser just came on. Thankfully I was home to shut off the water. The repairman asked me to videotape it the next time it happened to document it! Another part was ordered and replaced.About 10 days ago (October, 2018), I woke up early to get a glass of water and found myself standing in water and water again coming thru the basement ceiling. Lowes stated I was out of warranty and to contact Electrolux directly, which I did. This morning a 3rd repairman came out and again stated a part needed to be replaced. I requested Electrolux replace this obvious lemon of a refrigerator but they will not. They can only offer me an extended warranty thru March 2019. I have no confidence in this product. I will not be able to leave my house or go to bed any night for fear that this will happen a 4th time. How many times does this product have to ruin my home before it will be replaced? Do not buy model E123CS35KS4A if you value your home. Shame on Electrolux for not standing by their product.

All our appliances in the kitchen are from Electolux Icon. In the first year our microwave oven broke down. A few months later our refrigerator did the same. Now our dishwasher is on the fritz. In less than 3 years we had three product failures. I contacted Customer service a number of times and the only solution they advised is to purchase a service plan. The product is very attractive, a bit costly and not reliable. My argument with Electrolux is that service plans are good for older products. As a consumer I should expect 5-8 years of quality performance before we need to service. It is evident that these products are not made to last but heavy dependency on service plans as a solution.

I purchased an Electrolux washer and dryer set 2 years ago in silver grey colour. Right from the start the doors on both units would not close properly, nor would the detergent dispenser drawer on the washer. As well, you could not partially close the door when airing the washer after using it, meaning the door stayed wide open. This required placing the machine in an area where no children/people would walk past it and hook on to the door. THEN, the entire control panel went on the washer. We were told that Electrolux no longer made that model - ONE YEAR AFTER PURCHASE, and that instead of repairing it, the warranty company replaced it with the next newer model. This entailed that we also had to replace our DRYER, since the new washers colour was a different colour of grey, and the units no longer matched. UGLY!! The 5-year warranty we purchased at the initial time of washer purchase was now also void, meaning we would have to pay AGAIN if we wanted extended warranty. I tried contacting Electrolux Canada to ask if we could get a rebate or refund for the extra costs we endured because their units were faulty and outdated so soon after purchase. Thats when the real trouble started. The young girl at their customer service was the rudest, uncaring person I have ever encountered in the business. She said if it wasnt a warranty issue, that she would do nothing to assist me. She refused to put me through to her supervisor, and any emails that would be sent would go back to her. There was no logic in her approach and needless to say, the whole experience left me totally frustrated and disappointed. I even tried reaching someone at Electroluxs USA and European Office, but was told that it was not within their area, and that I would have to contact their Canadian office- even after I had explained my problems with the first line person there. No one offered to contact a supervisor on my behalf, or even give me a direct telephone number or email address where I could contact a supervisor myself. Although the machines - one year old, are still working, I will never again buy ANY product from Electrolux, after having the worst customer service experience of my life!

My fridge was defective, it became evident 1.5 years into using it, but when I called I was told it was cosmetic and I had to pay for it myself. Then 5 years into it right after the extended warranty ended there was rust discovered in the back due to a hole because it was a defective product, the tech they sent made it worse by just covering it up. Now a 7 year old fridge... the entire back is rusted and now $3200 is gone. Knowing they made a mistake I am offered a 20% discount on another fridge. Customer service is nonexistent. Terrible product terrible service just awful! DO NOT BUY!

The ice maker has never worked. It does not maintain the right temperature to keep the ice from melting. Ice turns into solid block and is not usable. All the parts that could be replaced have been replaced as per comments from technician. There is a design flaws and the technicians have repeated that they have many issues with these refrigerators. Under the service contract, a replacement is called for after 3 similar calls. We have asked for a replacement and all Electrolux does is to send more technicians trying to wear us down. I got the Electrolux dishwasher as a package from our home builder. We had problems from the start. Within the first year, while it was still under warranty, we had to get it serviced three times. It would not dry the dishes, the pump failed so it would discharge the water. Right now the touch controls are unusable. I have to open-close the door ~10 times before I can simply press start. Forget about selecting any custom wash cycle. Every so often even that does not work and I have to cycle the power to the unit at the fuse box. We are waiting for the unit to die to replace it. My only consolation is that I did not spend any money on service. I am never buying another Electrolux appliance again, and I am telling everyone I know to follow suit.

We have already spent at least 20 hours following every Electrolux procedure to the letter, regardless of how inane the reasoning only to finally be denied a solution. It is the same story about the defective ice makers they designed and installed in thousands of refrigerators a few years back. Bottom line - We would pay for parts but since the ice maker cant be fixed there is nothing we can do for you. Yes we bought $6000 worth of Electrolux products when remodeled our kitchen and they made a defective product but its on us. Thank you very much. They said they dont care about negative Internet reviews because only unhappy people post - not happy ones. Brilliant! So, we vote with our wallet and words. Never buy an Electrolux or any brand by that company and tell as many people as possible. So, when they hire a consultant to find out why the stock is down maybe they will discover these communications and determine that it does matter to try to protect rational consumer relationships.

First to go was the Dryer first indicated by an error code. Next was their top of the line oven stove Microwave followed by the Dishwasher and not long after came the failure of the Refrigerator. In January 2016 I purchased an Electrolux electric range, model E130EF4CQSB, serial number AF55000584. In February 2017 while I was cooking dinner one evening, the glass cooktop suddenly shattered. I called Electrolux customer service and was told to email pictures of the damage, which I did. About five minutes later Electrolux called me back to say that their technician had determined that I caused the damage by dropping a heavy object onto the cooktop. I protested that I had done nothing of the kind, but was told the technicians judgment was final and my (five-year) warranty on the cooktop would not be honored. Subsequently I had to pay $570.40 to have the cooktop replaced. I do not believe that Electrolux has a technician standing by at all times to assess broken cooktops. I think the company simply defrauds customers by declaring falsely that customer abuse has occurred.

After 5 visits from a technician and 5 replaced freezer doors, the builder agreed to replace the unit. Electrolux received call after call from our technician regarding the issue and we were told via the technician that Electrolux wanted us to pour warm water through the ice dispenser on a daily basis. Next the icemaker and water dispenser stopped working about a year ago. Electrolux knew of the problem and made a kit to address the poor quality and design. I have had two top of the line Electrolux appliances for four years, a nearly $3,000 stove, model ‪#‎VF02062872‬ and a very expensive French door refrigerator, model ‪#‎EW23BC70IS1‬. Both of these appliances have suffered with reoccurring problems of which Electrolux was apparently aware but unable to provide a permanent solution. The stove became totally inoperable after completing the self-cleaning function. Nothing works! The door is locked shut. The surface units dont work and I cant even use the clock or timer. This has happened 4 or 5 times already. The first two times this happened, it was under warranty and they did fix it. After that they wanted me to purchase an expensive service contract. Thats totally ridiculous to cover a recurring problem. The problem has continued to recur. Apparently the heat from the self-cleaning function destroys a computer board in the control panel. To date, it appears that Electrolux has been unable to solve this problem. When the same problem happens again and again with the same appliance it should be considered to be a lemon. The last time this happened it took them 6 weeks to get me the parts. After fighting with them for about 45 minutes this morning, they agreed to send me the parts for half price but wont cover the service. The ice maker in the refrigerator has been repaired or replaced several times. The water dispenser is not even designed to get the water cold. I thought I was buying quality products. One of the letters I received from them about the problems says, Please be assured that you have invested in one of the finest appliances manufactured in the world today. I bought these products because the company had a reputation for dependable performance and enduring quality. The products I have would indicate otherwise. In view of its service and the quality of the products weve purchased recently, I could not, in good faith, recommend Electrolux. The consequences were that the stove continues to be defective and will probably burn up again. What Order Number do you want below?

I purchased a new home and bought the extended warranty from Electrolux for the appliances. Within the first year, my microwave broke 4 times. On the final time, I was told the microwave would be replaced. My microwave broke over 3 weeks ago, and initially customer service said someone would get back to me within 5 business days to approve the replacement. When I didn’t hear anything for 10 business days, I called them back. I was then told to give them another 3 business days. When I didn’t hear back AGAIN, I called them and was told that these things (meaning replacing my microwave) takes time and I should be patient, and that I could possibly be without a microwave for 2 months. Does that sound acceptable?? What modern home can go without a major appliance for that long? Their customer did not care. I spoke to a supervisor who was not helpful and kept repeating the same phrase, “I understand your frustration.” However he was not offering any solutions to my problem. He did, however, tell me that if they had to ship my microwave then I am financially responsible for the shipping and installation. If you are reading this before you purchase an Electrolux or Frigidaire appliance (Electrolux provides the extended warranty) please DON’T purchase. The Electrolux customer service treats people like they are the judge and we are the condemned. Their service times is ancient - 8AM-5PM of all things. Who does that anymore??? We purchased our Washer Dryer set less than a year ago. Already it has broken down twice. Both times, a bolt that holds the pulley to the back of the drum has loosened itself causing the pulley to cut into the drum housing and cause leakage. When contacting Electrolux the first time, the repair company they sent made 4 trips out to repair the unit, and we were without a working washer for several weeks. This time they dispatched a company that came out to assess the problem and then returned several days later to make the repair. They showed up at 8:00 pm on a Sunday night, and it is now 11:23 pm and it still isnt back together. To top it off, the repair person just informed me that a wire inside the machine was damaged and he will have to order a new one and return again. Electrolux has told us they will not replace the machine as long as their technician says it is repairable. I am very disappointed. For what we pay for these high end appliances, customer service is a joke. I live 35 miles from the nearest laundromat, and this is a total pain in the ** for my family of four... We have had to resort to hand washing my childrens school uniforms daily to get by and Electrolux seems to feel we arent entitled to a product that performs as advertised. We purchased - largely for being identical in appearance - the Electrolux dishwasher, oven, and microwave set for a remodeled kitchen. Heres my experience with all three, plus other info. Dishwasher 1: Simply did not clean dishes. Three warranty service calls did not fix. Replaced with the identical Electrolux dishwasher. Dishwasher 2 (replacement): Leaked water onto the kitchen floor, and made an amazingly loud and unacceptable noise in operation. Two warranty service calls did not fix the leak and could not diagnose the noise. Lowes took it back and we replaced it with a now out-of-place looking but functional Kitchenaid.Oven: Several of the blue bars on the lighted timer/temperature indicators are not fully functional at one year old (off warranty), so have to guess at temperatures and time. Very expensive to repair. Went through one temp. probe warranty repair (it was not connected internally at the factory). Troubleshooted and replaced a faulty second probe. The oven has twice stopped functioning, but I was able to get it operational by rebooting it (shutting off the appliance breakers, then turning them back on). Note: At the same time, my son, who lives 500 miles away, also bought the same type Electrolux oven, and he also has experienced the loss of some of the blue bars that constitute the numbers needed for time and temperature reading.Microwave: Many of the blue bars that constitute the numbers for time are not functional. Try operating a microwave without fully functional numbers for time, etc. The cost of the repair (replacement of the electronics is almost half the cost of an entire new unit. We limp along as is because of our attempt to match the appliances in the kitchen, and we are not about to replace with the identical Electrolux. Note: My son bought the identical microwave and he has the same problems. These things tell me that Electrolux shipped an entire batch of ovens and microwaves across the US with faulty lighted numbers. The shipping of two out-of-box failure dishwashers is almost unbelievable. I dont know how a company can survive with such a record of failures across three product lines.

We purchased approx. $10K worth of new Electrolux appliances for our new home. The old home was blown away last year by a tornado. Purchased dishwasher, electric double ovens, electric cooktop, microwave oven, side by side refrigerator, and front load washer & dryer. All were top of the line that Electrolux offers. Dishwasher malfunctioned on first use. Sent out an error code #3. Was unable to contact Electrolux at the customer support site, so the wife called during working hours. The person she spoke with said turn it off at the breaker. That got the error code to go away, but it leaks out the front door now.Washer would not complete its cycle on its 1st, 2nd, & 3rd attempt. We got a service man scheduled to come out. Still having to do laundry at our daughters house. Tried to register my products online for over an hour, but their site would not complete the transactions. I find this product and customer support to be of poor quality even though it is marketed as top of the line. I would strongly recommend anyone to reconsider before buying Electrolux products. Oh yes, I tried to take their customer survey online, but that would not function either. Needless to say, I will never ever buy an Electrolux product again.

Poor Temperature distribution in fridge, get 42 degrees on top shelf while bottom shelf is 37. Set it any colder and back of both drawers freeze things. So far vent fan hood, gas cooktop, and washer and dryer are OK. Thankfully I have a great dealer with great repair people, ** in Florence. I have purchase receipt for all of these, dated 11-28-08.

I purchased a Electrolux refrigerator in Oct. 2014. From the moment we plugged the unit in we had issues. Initially the ice maker would not work and the filters would crack and freeze. First service call, they ordered parts and we had to wait for them to come back and replaced the ice maker and filter intake. Then the filters continued to crack and freeze, the ice maker would stop and the temperature always felt warm in the refrigerator with it even set at 33 degrees and food continually went bad. We bought an internal thermometer and the top shelf read 55 degrees!! Second service call, they had to order parts and we had to wait for them to come back, food continued to rot. They came back and replace more parts. The refrigerator continues to not stay cool. Third service call, now we are waiting on more parts to be replaced. We cant keep food, cant keep food in the refrigerator that will spoil. We have requested that the unit be replaced and Electrolux continues to send out repair companies and they dont even care about the amount of money we have wasted in food OR our time that this has taken to even take care of all these issues. I am very dissatisfied with this product and would never recommend an Electrolux Refrigerator to any consumer looking for a counter depth unit. My last refrigerator was 15 plus years old and never had one issue!! The only reason we needed to replace the unit was because we needed a counter depth for a remodel. After doing some research and reading several reviews, it looks like I am not the only one that has a bad Electrolux Refrigerator, and they are expensive LEMONS!

I purchased an Electrolux dishwasher from Lowes (never again). I paid 1200.00 dollars for the unit. After the first use, there was water left in the dishwasher that wouldnt drain. I called for service repair and a week later they came out to fix it and the same problem still occurred. I had to use my shop vac to remove the water. I called for the second service call and the tech advised me that I needed a new garbage disposal because food was backing up, causing the pump to burn out. I purchased a brand new disposal and had it installed. It still doesnt drain. I have been getting the run around from Electrolux and Lowes and neither company is providing me with good customer service. I requested a store credit so I could get an replacement and I was told I needed 3 service calls before it could be approved. I will never purchase another Electrolux appliance and I will never shop at Lowes again. If this matter isnt handled I will be contacting an attorney.

I have been waiting 6 weeks for my washer to get fixed. I can’t seem to get anyone in the warranty customer service department at RC Willey to tell me at what point I will have a working washer. The repair company has been out three times to repair the washer with no success. Prior to this I had the dryer fixed 2 times using the Electrolux first year warranty and one time through the RC Willey Warranty. Each repair takes a minimum of 2 weeks to complete. The washer/dryer set is 2 years old. I have contacted Electrolux and they said I have a parts warranty but will have to pay out of pocket if I don’t use the warranty. What is the point of purchasing a warranty if you never have a working product? I’m trying really hard to understand why it is so hard to complete the repairs on the unit I have. If you sell a warranty you should stand behind it. I will never buy Electrolux again and most certainly will never purchase anything from RC Willey. Extremely disappointed in both companies.

If you are interested in purchasing a self cleaning oven that you must clean before using the self-cleaning feature then purchase an Electrolux electric free standing stove... I purchased it in February of 2014 and had problems with self-cleaning from the beginning... Customer service says the stains that remain are cosmetic, therefore, they cant do anything... Oh yes and they also sold me a 2012 model which Electrolux says is legal as long as its boxed, hasnt been used blah, blah, blah... Run, dont walk away from purchasing this stove...or if you are looking for good customer service and appliance policies, dont expect satisfaction.

My experience with Electrolux appliances is junk, junk, junk!!! I purchase three brand new appliances and they all had to be serviced right out of the packaging!! The french door bottom freezer refrigerator is junk. The ice maker in the bottom drawer was replaced within a month and a half after purchased. The upper ice maker has been replaced once, serviced two more times since then and now needs to be serviced again!! It goes through some type of defrost mode which causes the cubes to melt in both the upper and lower bins, which then drips out of the dispenser in the door and once again it does not make ice. It frosts up behind the ice bin itself which in turn needs to be serviced again to replace some seal. I have always purchased GE appliances and gave Electrolux a try being they are suppose to be a higher end appliance. Never, never again would I purchase Electrolux!!

Avoid Electrolux Washer and Dryers like the PLAGUE!!! They make horrible designs, and are deceitful and dishonest with their clients. I purchased two units from them in 2013 - a washer EIFLS55IMB and a dryer EIMED55IMB. The washer has been a disaster. First of all most of the components inside the washer are made in China which has a terrible reputation for quality. In my particular case the main pulley attached to the tub is constantly coming loose because the bolt that holds it on cant do the job. Over time the belt gets loose because the pulley wobbles on its axis and the washer cannot spin/rinse the clothes. Worse yet the pulley is designed so that the belt can easily slip off of it as there is no lip to keep it in place. When the pulley comes loose it often drags against the plastic tub... cutting into the tub itself until it eventually slices through it completely. The end result is catastrophic failure.I have had several repair people come over and do realignment of the pulley and belt but it keeps happening. Finally I went in there and took a look for myself and was astonished at what I saw. A complete and total design failure. Electrolux should not be trusted with any appliance purchases. Believe me this company will rip you off and not live up to their warranty commitment. Avoid them like the the plague or you will be sorry!Updated on 07/17/2015: I filed this first Consumer Affairs complaint against Electrolux listed below a few months ago. Well I now have confirmed that the grooves cut into my clothes washer tub by the defective tub pulley is causing water from the tub to splash inside the unit which then makes it way into the pedestal. All the circuitry and the control board for the washer have experienced corrosion as a result. It is a miracle there wasnt an electrical fire.

Have all Electrolux kitchen appliances ($10,000) which are a little more than 4 years old. Except for the microwave, the double oven, refrigerator, dishwasher & top gas burner have had numerous problems. Lucky I have a 5 year extended service contact which will soon come to and end. Basically the appliance are made like junk... The refrigerator was replaced be the manufacturer after two days since there was moisture all over the interior of the unit. The replacement refrigerator wasnt any better. They then corked up the air ports in the refrig/freezer wall to limited the airflow which is a ridiculous fix since this restricts the circulation which a major feature of the unit. The freezer cheap plastic draws are broke (no longer slide & not under warranty). The freezer froze up and had to be taken apart to get the ice off the back coils. The water dispenser had to be replaced 4 times to get one that would stop dripping. The water & ice dispensers are poorly designed. During power outage, the freezer starts defrosting in about 4 hours resulting in a flood on the floor from the ice cube tray. Door has no restraint, when opening, to stop it from hitting the Electrolux stove handles which is next to the frig resulting in denting the stainless steel refrig door. As for the stove, the heating elements (flaw in its design) in both the top and bottom have been replaced 3 times. Expect this failure will be repeated again& again. Without the warranty, this would be a huge expense. The stove was out of commission for least 3 weeks each time. The dish washer, first day of operation (bottom shelf loaded with dishes) came out of the washer and rolled across the kitchen floor. It took the repair service several tries to jury rig a fix to solve this from happening. The dishes never get dried since there is no heat cycle and you have to manually wipe down the inside of the machine to prevent the mill due smell that will occur. The wash cycle is over an hour which is ridiculous. The machine occasionally starts by it self. Most of the internal working parts are cheap plastic.Waiting for the microwave to fail. To date, the repair service has been to my house over 12 times... Our 20 year old appliances, refrig & dishwasher, never had a problem. In fact, we have the old Whirlpool refrig in the garage. This is where we now keep all the meats and ice cream... In conclusion, there should be a class action suit against Electrolux.

I did a kitchen reno 3 years ago and through lots of contemplation on which manufacturer to purchase our appliance package from, we chose Electrolux. We purchase the wave technology fridge and Induction stove. We could not have purchase any higher end of a product from Sears other than the GE Profile package, but they did not release an induction cooktop at the time. WHAT A MISTAKE!!! The stove has had several service calls as one of the burners has no heating intensity. The service people that have been coming out have no clue what they are doing and cannot fix the stove. They basically say it is normal. Still working on that problem to get it rectified. We also noticed our laminate floor was swelling a few weeks ago and after investigating the possible cause, I pulled out the fridge and sure enough the floor was all damaged and stained with rust. I had Sears service come to investigate and the end result is it cannot be repaired as it has a manufacturing defect. Seems that Electrolux just happened to not design the fridge with any insulation at the back of the fridge. WOW! I purchased the Extended warranty from Sears due to the cost of these High End appliance and the high cost to purchase.Well that fell flat on support. Sears has offered a credit of $1170.00 toward a purchase of a new replacement fridge as my compensation for the NO Lemon policy on the warranty. Not happy with this result, I contacted Electrolux customer service and asked to speak with a Manager. I was bluntly told that there was no further person to talk to and that Electrolux does not care about any issues after the initial year is over and it will be impossible to expect any input or assistance to replace the fridge that was improperly designed and built! Unbelievable... I am now going to be financially burdened with a $3000 plus cost out of pocket!! What a kick in the teeth after thinking if I purchased High End (JOKE) product, it would pay off.It is looking like I will have to replace my fridge and will now have mismatched appliances in my kitchen, especially since it will not be an Electrolux product. That would be a cold day in Hell!!! I cannot believe what Electrolux is pulling off here. I would be willing to start a class action lawsuit if we could group enough people together to fight this company for selling Improperly manufactured product and not owning up to it.

Your product broke in less than 1 year and your warranty and replacement policies are a joke. They are designed to rip the consumer off. Its nearly 1 month since it broke down and after 3 techs visits and 3 orders for possible broke new parts, Im still without a washer and Electrolux are sending yes, a 4th tech out with more parts. If this washer ever gets repaired, its probably going to die immediately after those repairs cause the previous repair guys have torn it apart. They even pulled wires out and somehow managed to get them back into the boards.I saw this with my own eyes and I would bet 1 million dollars that those techs damaged those other boards and wired. And of course who will have to pay for those techs mistakes. Yes, thatll be me the customer. Cause they are in the business of selling horrible products without honoring repairs or replacements as they promise. Electrolux and Frigidaire are 2 names that should not be in business. Electrolux refrigerator exhibiting serious problems after the one year manufacturer warranty was up. I had purchased an extended warranty (not through manufacturer) however, when I called Electrolux to report my issues - possibly having a lemon, too many problems for a new fridge, etc. - they were completely disinterested and took no responsibility for their product. They said it was a dealer problem if I wanted any comeback! I spoke to a supervisor Jennifer. How can companies take no responsibility for a product? Specifically ice maker problems, digital display and water dispenser.

We are very dissatisfied with our Electrolux Refrigerator as well as the customer service that Electrolux has provided to us. We first purchased Model # EI23BC55IS for the price of $3,199.95 on July 3, 2009 from Barrys Appliance in Bridgewater, NJ. Our salesman, Jason, talked us into buying this appliance by telling us that it was state of the art and would fit nicely into our newly remodeled kitchen since it was cabinet-depth. He told us how the icemaker in the door of French door type refrigerators worked well in this model. The appliance never worked as the book stated. It leaked water and delivered slushy melted ice. After several service calls, one of which was to replace the motherboard, Electrolux furnished us with a replacement refrigerator on 9/21/09. We had one service to this new appliance on another matter, but truthfully, it never produced ice the way the Use and Care Guide said it should. The guide states that it produces approximately nine pounds of ice every 24 hours, but we constantly ran out of ice with normal usage. We are a family of four so this never made sense to us. The bin never filled up within 24 hours with nobody using ice during that time. It also shoots ice away from glasses that are directly under and my family constantly complains about this as well.On July 7, 2012, we called Electrolux when the unit stopped producing ice altogether. We were, at first, told that since the appliance was no longer under warranty that Electrolux would not pay to service the appliance. We asked for a supervisor to review this decision since we were not satisfied and believe that this particular model is defective as the icemaker doesn’t work as the Use and Care Guide suggests it should. We were granted what we were told was a concession (Ref # **) and were informed that a service company would be contacting us.On July 12, we contacted Electrolux as nobody had contacted us to set up the service call. At this time, we spoke with Chiffon, who put the call on hold to set up a service call. A woman named Susan from Dan Mark Appliance set up a service for us. On July 14, Dan Mark technician Carlos came out. We were told by Carlos that a new icemaker was needed and that this would take 3 to 5 business days. After more than two weeks, Dan Mark finally sent another technician out on July 30. This Dan Mark technician told us that he was replacing the motherboard, not the icemaker, and that this should solve the problem. On August 1, we contacted Dan Mark to tell them that we had no ice. They promised to send another technician on August 6. On August 2, we received an automated call from Dan Mark that a technician would be out on August 3 between 8:00-11:00 AM, and although this was unexpected, one of us stayed home from work that morning in hopes that this matter would finally be taken care of and we would have ice for the rest of the summer. When the technician came out though, he told us that he needs to replace the icemaker motor and housing and upgrade the motherboard as well. We didn’t hear from anyone again until August 8 when Dan Mark called to set up a service call for August 11. On August 11, a Dan Mark technician came and replaced the icemaker motor but did not upgrade the motherboard as promised. He told us that there should be ice by evening. We placed yet another call to Dan Mark on 8/13 when the icemaker began dripping water and would only produce crushed ice. On August 15, with no confirmation call, one of us unexpectedly had to come home from work when a Dan Mark technician came to our home and telephoned that he was at our address. This technician told us that a new ice bin was needed and that he would order this and it would take a week.By August 15, with several lost hours at work so that we could be home for numerous service calls and no ice for much of the summer, we decided to contact Electrolux directly. We spoke with Tiana, giving her all the dates of service calls. She told us that she entered that information into the system. She could not offer us any other help at that time. We did not hear from Dan Mark again, and on August 27, we contacted Electrolux and spoke with Sade, who contacted Dan Mark and was told that they had ordered and received the ice bin and had tried to contact us several times and couldn’t, so they returned this part to Electrolux. We told Sade that we received no calls from Dan Mark during the time period of August 15-August 27 and requested that a different company service this appliance. Sade told us that new concession would be needed (**) and set up with Angela at Metro Factory to service this unit. Ironically, on August 28, Dan Mark contacted us to install the ice bin, but we told them that we had contacted Electrolux and were using another service company going forward. On August 29, Metro Factory technician Carl came out and was able to hook up the appliance to his computer (this was the first time a technician had done this) and told us the unit needed an upgraded motherboard. He noted that the limited ice in the bin was “melty” and stuck together. We told him that the unit was only producing crushed ice, and he mentioned that upgrading the board would take care of this problem. While he was there, he was asked if he serviced many of this particular Electrolux refrigerator model and he said, “Oh yes,” and always the icemaker. We were not surprised. On August 30, Metro Factory called to tell us that the technician could not come out until September 10, and we made an afternoon appointment for that date. When we didn’t receive a confirmation call the night before this service, as had been the practice of both Dan Mark and Metro Factory, we contacted Metro Factory on September 10 and were told that, indeed, they were not coming out since they had received no parts and that this was the manufacturer’s fault. We were even asked if we received any parts, which surprised us since we weren’t expecting parts to be delivered to us.On September 11, we contacted Electrolux once again and spoke with Charlene. Again, everything was explained from the beginning, and after being put on hold for 6 minutes, we were told that Metro Factory was not picking up and that she would call back once she contacted them. In the afternoon that day, Charlene called to tell us that Metro Factory did order parts and that we should expect to hear from them on September 14. She could not explain why the parts were taking so long or why Metro Factory asked us if we received them. We did not hear from Metro Factory on September 14. In fact, as of today, we have not heard from Metro Factory. We are writing this complaint in hopes that Electrolux will see that we are entitled to compensation and satisfaction that has been denied to us since purchasing the original refrigerator. We are requesting that our original purchase price of $3,199.95 be returned to us and that the appliance be picked up when we are able to replace it with another appliance of our choice. Be assured, it will not be an Electrolux appliance. We plan to never purchase an Electrolux product again. We have read other complaints and agree that there must be some engineering problem with these particular types of unit. Electrolux needs to recognize this defective model is hurting customer satisfaction for many families.

6 Appliances, 12 problems, expensive solutions: We built this new home about 5 years ago. Its just the two of us and our dog. In the past 5 years we use the home about 7 months of the year. Every single appliance has had problems, too many to outline. Some of the problems Electrolux has no fix for other than expensive parts to fix parts that they knew did not work. More problems are on the way, as our microwave has stopped rotating and our freezer is making a funny noise as well as the fan in the convection oven is making sounds that it did not make before. These are all top of the line appliances that should last more than a couple of years of use. However Electrolux does not agree or care. I am going to start a class action lawsuit in Canada against them, my email is **. Write me if you would like to join in.

We bought a counter depth french door refrigerator with the ice maker in the door. From the very beginning we have had trouble with the ice maker. They repaired it twice and it still did not work. The last time my husband called, they said they needed to order a part and we never heard from them again. We finally unhooked the water to the fridge. When Sears sent their extended warranty offer, I wrote them a letter and told them that I would not buy their warranty due to the fact that the refrigerator was not repaired by Electrolux, and Sears did not assist us in any form, so why would I purchase an extended warranty. Now, the seal on the freezer failed. We have never gotten any satisfaction from Electrolux or Sears concerning our refrigerator. So today when I went out to buy my new cooking range, I absolutely ruled out Electrolux. I will never do business or buy an electrolux product again.

They have highly rated products but the service is just awful. Bought through Sears a brand new 8 ft gas dryer (EFMG617STT) and it started making a noise right after installation. The installation person told us the noise would go away. Over 3 months the noise turned into a vibration until we couldnt run it. Had signed up for the Electrolux Platinum Star Limited Warranty so called up and they sent out a service repair company (All County Appliance Service) who determined it needed a blower wheel and motor. It has now been 2 weeks without them being able to fix the dryer. My wife has spent more than 10 hours on the phone tracking it down and no-one can tell where the parts are and when they can fix it. It turns out the repair company has a 1 star rating on Yelp and they dont even answer the phone most of the time and when they do, they refer to Electrolux regarding sending the parts. Electrolux (we have talked to 3 different people) say they have many clients except us and we need to wait. When we contacted Sears (which we have 3 times and they hanged up last time) they say we need to contact Electrolux. Never seen anything like this...ever. Especially when you pay $1200 for a top of the line appliance.

Four year old Electrolux French door refrigerator/freezer model #EI28BS65XS6 is sweating and rusting on the rear panel, mainly around the upper right hand corner behind the ice maker. I purchased a Rear Panel Kit (part #5303918657) for $199.98 + tax from Electrolux, who stated in an email to me that this ...kit is the only fix for this issue. Unfortunately, the kit includes a huge, thick, black pad that covers the entire rear panel of the refrigerator except for the vented area at the bottom. The water lines to the ice maker have to run over the pad.Unfortunately, the refrigerator will no longer fit in its customer enclosure, which Electrolux has informed me is my problem, as they will not be able to meet any requests for a replacement model, as the warranty for your current model has expired... I am guessing that Electrolux forgot to put insulation in the rear of the refrigerator. They apparently have not notified their customers of the issue either, as I only learned of the problem when I pulled the refrigerator out to clean it. (The ice dispenser quit long ago as well, but thats another story.)

I had a high end Electrolux dishwasher (5 years old) that needed a new pump. I purchased one through Electrolux that took 20 days to arrive and it arrived with the connecting piece broken in 2 pieces. When I called to report this, I was told I needed a service person to come to my house to verify riptide was actually broken (it was against their policy to either take my word or to accept pictures from me). The service company to whom they had referred me sent 5 faxes to document the damage - they had to send 5 times because Electrolux could not find the incoming fax (they said they get hundreds - great system) or they needed more info. By now I was getting extremely close to Thanksgiving - desperate for a dishwasher. They refused to send a new pump overnight so I accepted they would send by 2 days and rescheduled repair for a Saturday. Then on Friday the assistant to the CEO (!) told me she canceled my shipment because the documentation on the damaged pump had discrepancies. She accused me of faking the paperwork and also accused the service company of fraud. What possible motive would we have for faking that I received a broken pump?? After an amazingly insulting and frustrating experience with Electrolux I went and bought a new Kitchenaid dish easier today. WOULD NEVER CONSIDER ANOTHER ELECTROLUX PRODUCT.

Loved this fridge when I bought it. But it has needed several repairs and now the side is breaking out in rust spots! The water line freezes, and that has repaired and replaced. The whole freezer side door has been replaced. It is 10 yrs old now; but, the problems started about 6 yrs ago.

I purchased the Electrolux EBP163 refrigerator but it sounds on auto-cutoff. The problem was there from the first day itself. When I complained to the customer care they somehow replaced it with a new one but again the replaced unit is having the same problem. Now no one is listening to the complaint and the customer care people keeps cancelling the complaint given. Also an engineer contacted me and told to live with it as the sound is common & universal for all models. I suggest do not buy any Electrolux product. BAD ELECTROLUX.

Purchased brand new front load ElFLS60LTI Electrolux washer and dryer July 2015. Washer leaking from underneath and called service repair company. Back metal wheel with rubber belt had continually been cutting away into the back of the drum and carved out a hole where water leaked out. There was plenty of shredded strips of the rubber belt at bottom of the unit due to half of the belt eroding away as it was carved into the back of drum with the metal wheel. Not worth money to repair. I took photos and called Electrolux customer service and asked for a discount toward a new washer or even a used washer since this one was in use for only 2.5 years. The answer was NO. They suggested I shop around for deals. They did offer me 50% off any parts. Nothing toward labor. So I might as well buy a new washing machine. How about offering me 50% off a washer since this clearly was a defect. Anyway, I will never purchase an Electrolux product again.

I am not happy at all with our purchase! Was told by technician who came out to check them that I needed to shut my cold water down so we could get warm water wash? Never heard of such a thing! So we put coats in and it shuffles them until the washer is out of balance! The dryer is another problem? We put 3 bath towels and hand and washcloths in and the kitchen towels? When you go to take them out part of them still wet! All we wanted was to have a washer and dryer we could turn on and do laundry! This pair is nothing but computerized junk to us!

The Electrolux fridge ice maker is the worst I have ever seen. They have been out to my house 3 times and the icemaker still does not work. The customer service is horrible. Electrolux makes a poor product that is subpar. Save your money.

I purchased a full set of Electrolux appliances 3.5 years ago. The dishwasher broke. I run it only once a week and have taken great care of it. Now I see that from this site and others that Electrolux appliances are of very low quality and their service is terrible. I am sorry that I made this purchase. Do not make the same mistake I did.
