My stove is emitting a terrible burning smell. They had a service tech out and said it was bad insulation. So they replaced it and still has the same problems. I called and they came out again and said there is nothing wrong. The smell is very bad and toxic. My husband has asthma and breathing issues. I called them back and they told me they wont replace it or fix it. They are very rude. I am so frustrated and angry with this.

I purchased an Electrolux Wave Touch Standard Depth model EW28BS85KS5 a little over two years ago. After less than a year, the Temp Perfect Drawer seized up and could not be opened. I worked with Electrolux rep to get the repair and all was covered under warranty. Either while I was waiting for repair or shortly after the repair was completed, I was contacted by and ESA representative and offered, for a price of course, an extended warranty. The representative was fully aware of the issues I had with the drawer. Since my confidence level in product quality was now low and believing the extended warranty was as comprehensive as the one year warranty, I purchased the extension. It has been a little more than a year and the drawer has the exact same issue. I contacted ESA to advise them of the recurrence. They advised me that the warranty does not cover the drawer. Only functioning parts of the refrigerator that maintain the cool temperature, the ice maker and the water dispenser. I have tried working with them, but to no success. I do not appreciate a product attribute that is designed to last only a year. I hesitate to spend the money to have it repaired again because I fear next year I will have to have it repaired again. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

We have had nothing but problems with our Electrolux appliances. This is not just one model, but many different appliances. When we moved into our new house we unfortunately purchased all Electrolux including fridge, stove, dishwasher, popup vent, and over/microwave combo. This was all about three years ago. Since purchasing new appliances, the fridge has needed repair twice, the vent hood fan went out and we replaced it with a different brand (Wolf), the stove and oven have had issues and just recently our dishwasher cooked itself. It made several popping sounds and we smelt electronics burning in the kitchen, then the dishwasher shut down and wont come on again. Its now being replaced with a Bosch dishwasher.Do yourself a favor and AVOID Electrolux and their brands. They make junk. Also be careful as some brands like Kenmore use Electrolux to manufacture their goods. Do your research and stay away. I hope my review will help someone save time and money. We spent about 12K on all these new appliances and after 3 years, we are already in the process of replacing them. Getting the fridge repaired was a major hassle with their repair department. Its going to be easier for us to just purchase new appliances and start clearing our house of Electrolux. Never again Electrolux!!! You have been banned for life from my house and Ive already told hundreds of friends to stay away from your brand.

Have had my refrigerator since February. Now on its 3rd service call. Thank goodness I took out the extended warranty. Personally Electrolux can come get this piece of!! Two for the ice maker and one for the freezer, would not keep cold. Needless to say the whole back coil needs to be replaced and the refrigerator is only 6 months old. This will be the last time I listen to an appliance salesperson. Should have gone with my gut, but the salesperson was really pushing Electrolux and how long the company has been in business, etc. Whirlpool, Maytag, Samsung, LG anything but Electrolux!!Updated on 11/27/2016: When shopping for a complete kitchen set of new appliances, sales person kept recommending Electrolux. Spent $6800, Icemaker broke within first 4 months. Had to take off work to get it fixed. Now same problem with ice maker 7 months later. Also after having refrigerator 6 months bottom freezer coil unit had to be replaced, freezer would not freeze anything - then dishwasher does not dry dishes even with drying agent. Microwave/convection oven shorted out on Thanksgiving day after first use of convection oven. Have had these appliances since 1/14/16. Electrolux should be ashamed. Luckily I purchased extended warranty for refrigerator and dishwasher so Im good for three years with those. The quality of product is very poor compared to my 13 year old appliances I had. Very, Very Disappointed especially how much money I spent. Will look at reviews before I purchase anything else. Electrolux should pay me for my time off from work having to get these repairs taken care of.

I bought this refrigerator model E127BS16J56 serial # 4A23619843 in 2013 in great anticipation of have a beautiful stainless steel refrigerator in my kitchen. Stainless steel is a bit more expensive but as a consumer you spend the extra money for its beauty that it adds to your kitchen. Ive noticed that around the stainless steel the grey plastic trims have begun to split and crack for no reason. The refrigerator is in our kitchen and does not get a lot of wear and tear, its just my husband and myself. I called Electrolux and spoke to customer service, told them the refrigerator was practically new and the cracking and chipping of the plastic trim took away from the beauty of my stainless steel refrigerator and asked them how to fix it. I was told the only way to repair the plastic trims on the freezer drawer or the French door refrigerator was to replace the door panels. They would send them to me at a 10 % discount. What!So Im supposed to order new doors at my expense of 500 per door and get a 10% discount if I purchase the doors from them and they wont charge me shipping. This was not acceptable so I called back and asked to speak to a customer service manager. I told her my story and she read through my previous complaint and offered me a 30% discount. This was at least an attempt to assist me but honestly, my refrigerator is 3 years old and all the plastic trims deteriorating and breaking off (obviously a product defect) and to solve the problem Im supposed to purchase all new doors and invest almost 1000 dollars and then pay a mechanic to put them on! Really! I want to fight this Id rather spend 1000 dollars on a lawyer and live with the chipped broken plastic doors. Im disappointed I really thought they would stand behind their product and help me, but the resolution they offered is unsatisfactory! Im going to continue to call and complain, hope springs eternal.

We purchased an Electrolux side by side refrig in 2010. Within that first year the icemaker stopped working continually. It happened so many times that we finally called the company. Electrolux knows their icemaker is faulty and they immediately replaced the entire refrigerator. After about a year, the icemaker on the 2nd refrig stopped functioning. It was still under warranty and the process of replacing the icemaker began. It went on for the 3 years. Now the warranty is up. The icemaker does not function and Electrolux wants NOTHING to do with the problem.

Worst customer service, next to Fiat Corp, at least. On hold for 55 minutes waiting for a supervisor whom the customer service rep initially refused to get and then the supervisor refused to talk to me. I managed to call on a different phone and a helpful rep got me a supervisor in 8 minutes! Bottom line, my 2 month old Electrolux dishwasher has a plate rack that routinely collapses. After breaking several plates I decided to call for repair. They wanted me to troubleshoot, which I refused since I have moved nothing since getting the unit. The supervisor then informs me that I will be charged for the service call since the racks that hold the plates vertical are considered cosmetic and not functional and therefore not covered? Really? I dont need those racks to have my dishes cleaned? And apparently there are no actual lists of cosmetic and functional parts. It’s all arbitrary and based on what the company wants. Never another Electrolux or Frigidaire for me!

I will NEVER in life buy another product from this company!!!! I have 4 major appliances and all but ONE have been serviced! They are all 2 1/2 yrs old and Im being told that the only thing I can be offered is half off parts if theyre ordered from Electrolux. The customer service is HORRIBLE. Ive spoke to reps from phone number (706) 860-4110. Rep Alegra I spoke with her for 40 minutes. Was offered free parts but Id have to cover the labor. She adv. that her supervisor was upstairs and she would email me the information for the free parts and I NEVER received the email. I called back today and spoke with Shaquayla **, complaint manager, who adv there wasnt any notes about my previous call with Alegra and all she could offer is half off parts! The lining of my fridge is coming off and my dishwasher wont drain. I was told the knob that has been replaced once before has gone bad again!!! I then spoke with Shaquaylas supervisor, Theresa **, who needs to be fired! She was VERY cold and VERY matter of fact and kept repeating the offer without ever showing empathy or even genuine concern. I encourage others to NEVER buy from this company! Im currently writing a letter to a corporate PO BOX while posting in any social media site of Electrolux and filing a complaint with the BBB and posting YouTube video of the poor quality of the appliances entitled, The poor quality of Electrolux products. I am a new homeowner and I THOUGHT I was buying a great product. Electrolux has ruined my experience and wasted my time and money! I was even advised by Shaquayla that the repairs would have to be done and paid for by me before I could even buy an extended warranty. Again I want to advise these appliances are 2 1/2 years old!!!! I am extremely disappointed!!!

Remodeled a kitchen with all Electrolux appliances (cooktop, double oven, French door/ bottom freezer). Started having problems with the fridge shortly after purchase. After several repairs to the ice maker, the appliance store replaced the entire refrigerator. Continued to have probs with the ice maker = more repairs and thank goodness under warranty. We then moved to another state and brought that fridge with us (it had cost us > $3000). Bought the extended warranty because we had had so many problems with it (aka more money spent). Had to have further repairs done and the motherboard was replaced under the extended warranty.Remodeled our new kitchen with more Electrolux appliances minus a fridge. Over the past 5-6 years we have spent $15-20000 on Electrolux appliances. Wanted nice looking and (we thought) reliable, high quality and dependable apps for our $$$ spent. Have continued to have probs with the refrigerator ice maker - a very moody part/worked when it wanted to!!!Several days ago I took ice cream out of the freezer compartment and it was almost melted. Thought maybe I hadnt properly closed the door (although a signal should sound if this were so). I rearranged a few things in the freezer and made sure the door was solidly closed. No change. The temp gauges on the front panel were still registering 0* for the freezer and 37* for the fridge. A thermometer showed 10*/freezer and 45*/fridge and these numbers worsened over a couple hours. I was lucky enough to have some freezer and fridge space in an older refrigerator to store food products.Today the appliance repair guy told me that there was a freon leak in the ice machine and could be repaired for ~$1000. But being an honest guy he said the best thing to do was to take it out back and shoot it and forget about putting more money into it. The prob would probably happen again and again. We are going to purchase a new refrigerator- NOT ELECTROLUX- NOT EVER AGAIN!!!! The Electrolux Customer Service Dept was going to give us a greatdeal of 30% off of parts - ordered from them of course!! Thanks but no thanks. After spending so much money on Electrolux already I am angry. Does anyone know about any pending legal action against Electrolux? After reading reviews, I am certainly not an isolated case.

I purchased four Electrolux appliances in July of 2011. The appliances were delivered in July, but they were not in use until September or October. The appliances are infrequently used and no children live in the household. Since I started using the appliances, I have already had three service calls. First, back in November for the microwave; then in January for all four appliances. The third service call was on March 16 for the same appliances for the same problems, except for the microwave oven. This is rather shocking to me since I was under the impression that Electrolux appliances were supposedly better and higher performing kitchen appliances than many of the other brands. I previously owned a KitchenAid dishwasher and a low-end Kenmore range and refrigerator. Over a 10-15 year period, I had approximately two service calls for the range and refrigerator and dishwasher. All service calls were after the appliances were at least 5 years old. These appliances were exposed to high usage since there were children and more people living my home.On March 18, I noticed after baking a potato that condensation formed inside of the door of the microwave. Also, as I was cleaning the microwave, the outside stainless steel top panel over the door of the microwave is loose. It moves from side to side. I now have a fourth service call in to address this. It’s hard to believe that I am having so much trouble with all four of my Electrolux appliances that I purchased. I am very disappointed and unhappy that I spent extra money for such lousy performing appliances. The service calls are very time consuming and quite annoying. I have to take off considerable time from work to accommodate the service calls, not to mention how frustrating it is to deal with malfunctioning key appliances. I can only hope that my case is an exception and I hope that I have not been sold four lemons. Attached is a summary of my service calls.Microwave: Stopped working for several days. Service person could not find anything wrong, perhaps it’s an electrical surge issue. There’s a loose panel outside the top over the door. It will be addressed on next service call. I can’t remove stains on inside of stainless—no solution. Condensation buildup in door: this is not addressed yet. You have to press too hard on menu button.Range: Rubber gaskets on metal grates keep coming off. I was told that they sometimes melt. The gaskets are there, I believe, to keep the metal from rubbing against other metal. It was not fully addressed. It scratches easily—no solution. The gasket around menu panel came a part. Gasket was replaced.Refrigerator: Ice maker is not working and there is a knocking sound, condensation buildup, and the ice maker continues to make ice when full. Problem solved on first service call. The same problem reoccurred. Problem will be addressed on next service call. There is also loose screw found in refrigerator. That will be addressed on next service call.Dishwasher: It doesn’t clean dishes. What do I need it for? Solution: add dish detergent, add Rinse Aid, add Glass Magic and prime water leading to dishwasher. Most dishes are lightly soiled and they still don’t come clean, particularly the silver utensils. The stains are washed in rather than washed out. Top rack bottom joint keeps coming out of place. Problem addressed once by replacing the top rack. I’m not sure what will be done to address this problem again. I will discuss with the service rep when he comes on Monday, March 26. It takes a long time to get started. I sometimes have to press buttons several times to start the wash cycle—problem was not fully addressed.

We bought the Electrolux washer and dryer that said it had fast wash and fast dry. We were planning to buy Samsung as we had this brand before and it worked great. We went to Bad Boys and they persuaded us to buy this brand mainly because of the fast wash and dry features. The washer was fine but the dryers fast dry feature does not work at all. Garbage. We told Bad Boys that we were not happy and they sent someone to take a look. They said that there was nothing wrong with it and that that is how it was. Neither Electrolux or Bad boys did anything further to help us. We spent over $6000 in appliances and no help at all regarding this issue. Terrible customer services on both parts. We will NEVER ever buy this brand again.

In todays world most appliances come close in reliability. However our Electrolux appliances have been terrible. The washer and dryer were the only 2nd floor rated units yet shake our house like its going to fall down. We have had two repairs under warranty and are just waiting for them to give out in only 2 years. Now the dishwasher on the other hand, wow thats shocking. I moved into my new home last year. It was furnished with various Electrolux appliances, refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave. We decided to utilize the self-cleaning feature of our Electrolux oven model #EW30DS65GS. Well the self-cleaning feature worked fine but then the upper oven wouldnt work. It only stayed at 100 degrees. So I researched the issue and found that its a problem common to your dual ovens, they overheat and blow a fuse, blow the thermal control and may only need the reset the button. The button I understand is located in the back of the oven and were unable to get to it since its built-in and glided onto our Kitchen counters. This has been so frustrating! The manual doesnt warn you that there would be a problem with the oven when the self-cleaning feature is utilized. Had we known, we would have never used the self-cleaning feature. Now I have a nice Electrolux dual oven but the upper oven doesnt work. I think that Electrolux should provide concessions to people that have these products and cover the cost of the repair. It doesnt seem right that a common feature as self-cleaning would result in disastrous consequences when used. It appears that this is a manufacturing defect with the oven. I implored the company to assist me with this repair so I can take full advantage of my oven. It really is a nice oven and its a shame that it cant be fully utilized as intended. I spoke to customer assistance several times and emailed them with no avail.

I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator and stove in July, 2014. I thought I was purchasing a reputable brand, so I didnt need to purchase an extended warranty agreement. In January 1, 2017, the refrigerator stopped cooling. I lost items in the freezer as well as the lower refrigerator section. I called a service technician referred by Lowes. He told me the diagnosis and the repair would be as much as a new refrigerator. I called Frigidaire Customer Service. They told me the only thing they could do was offer a discount on the replacement part. I still would need to pay for the labor and the part. I recently retired and cannot afford to do this nor purchase a new refrigerator. I have now been without a refrigerator since January 1, 2017. I had to begin 2 jobs to save up to hopefully purchase a refrigerator. As it stands I will not be able to do that for at least 2 months. I am very disappointed in Frigidaire/Electrolux. In the great scheme of things I may only be one consumer, but even one should matter. I had to use a computer at a school since I cannot afford internet. I left the paperwork at home so I dont have the receipt with me to add to this.

We have a maintenance contract w/ Electrolux for French Door ref purchased Dec 2010.. We were advised by tech contracted with Elux that the company made this ice maker for 18 mos. Due to failure of same, ice maker replaced in new products. Currently, we have had no ice maker since Jul 7 2014. We have had terrible service from both Elux and local tech. All reps apologize for inconvenience, appreciate our frustration, take a msg and nothing happens. I have a ref/file number, still no resolution. Page 1 of the Maintenance service contract states No Lemon Guarantee with requirements that we have met. Being that we have a ref/file number, tech said unit would be replaced. Again, poor service from Electrolux service i.e advised that no photos recd, no report received when service provider, MasterTech contact Lydia, says photos were emailed and report was sent to Elux. MasterTech sent email photos to me yesterday at my request. I forwarded these emails to Elux to Stacy, customer service (?) rep at Elux with request that she has recd email. No response. I am going to contact local vendor as well as TV station, The Turko File, to report this terrible service. As a very satisfied customer with ref but very unsatisfied with ice maker issue and no real assistance other than empty apologies, its time to move to another level. We referred this style ref to friends who purchased after we did; they evidently have the upgraded ref w/ ice maker and love the product. That being said, I would not purchase an Elux ref EVER again and their contracted service technicians are paid very little - they are not paid for additional visits. A losing proposition for techs and then ultimately, us as consumers.

I purchased a Front loader Electrolux brand washer and dryer on February 19 from Home Depot for a Presidents Day sale. I was given a delivery date on March 3. Four days before they were supposed to deliver, Electrolux called me and asked if they could deliver on March 31, because my dryer was back ordered and they would only deliver them together. I told them that was very inconvenient because I had no other washer and dryer and I had a 6 month old baby. I asked them what I should do. They told me to call Home Depot. Home Depot was helpful, they said they would reimburse me $300 the cost it would be for laundry service. On March 28, I called Electrolux to make sure they were delivering my washer/dryer on the 31st. They told me that again my dryer was backordered and they would not be delivering it until May 16. They said there was nothing they could do that I would have to contact Home Depot for any help. I asked if they were planning on just not calling me and letting me sit around all day waiting for my delivery to not happen and she said, Well, we try and contact our customers but we dont always get to everyone. Needless to say, Im fuming angry and I am going to try and cancel my order and find something else.

We have a whole kitchen set of Electrolux Icon appliances. Purchased in 2014. The first to go was the induction cooktop in 2017. We purchased a new one to match the rest of the appliances but the top is very dark and hard to read the display. In August of 2019 the dishwasher leaked and ruined our kitchen island and hardwood flooring. Total bill luckily covered by insurance was $30,000. The dishwasher itself was very poor quality. We had to rinse and scrub our dishes before running through the cycle. We changed brands and new dishwasher much better. Hi Now the refrigerator has rust on the inside on back panel. We’ll need to replace that. Two of the plastic drawers are broken. This will cost approximately $800 after shipping etc because we have to purchase the whole drawer and railing system etc. Outrageous!! These items have been treated very gently, only two people in the household. Very disappointed in the quality of these items.

My experience with Electrolux appliances is junk, junk, junk!!! I purchase three brand new appliances and they all had to be serviced right out of the packaging!! The french door bottom freezer refrigerator is junk. The ice maker in the bottom drawer was replaced within a month and a half after purchased. The upper ice maker has been replaced once, serviced two more times since then and now needs to be serviced again!! It goes through some type of defrost mode which causes the cubes to melt in both the upper and lower bins, which then drips out of the dispenser in the door and once again it does not make ice. It frosts up behind the ice bin itself which in turn needs to be serviced again to replace some seal. I have always purchased GE appliances and gave Electrolux a try being they are suppose to be a higher end appliance. Never, never again would I purchase Electrolux!!

We purchased this model (EI23BC35KS4) about 8 months ago and have had no issues with it. I think that unfortunately many of the other reviews here are referring to older models. This particular model has LED lighting, which I assume must have solved the issue of the incandescent bulbs 'blistering' the plastic because ours doesn't seem to have that problem. I also think the design of the upper ice machine has been improved because ours works just fine. However a few seconds after you dispense ice, there is a flap that must close to keep the ice maker cool, and if you open the door too soon the machine will beep until you close the door and the flap can shut. It is a very minor annoyance. Overall we are very happy with our purchase and would recommend this fridge, and would also recommend that people stop expressing their hatred of other models through reviews of this model!

I bought a Refrigerator (new display model) from Lowes on 20th October 2020. After two weeks it stop working. I took it to Lowes. They said that I cannot return this item. I was referred to Electrolux/Frigidaire. I called them and they booked a service call. The service man came out and said they needed to order a part that will take a few days. Never showed up again.Called Electrolux again. They promise to deliver the part within two days. I waited for more than seven days. No part arrived. Called Electrolux again. They promised that they will review my case and seek a replacement or refund for the refrigerator. I asked if I need to call again. They said no. More than seven days passed again no information. I called today Dec 24th 2020. Spoke with support staff who asked me to hold the line for more than 15 minute, this call was suspiciously ended by the support end. I called again. Another operator came on the line to say that the technician will fix it next Tuesday. Where in north America can we do without a refrigerator for two months. Above everything else what company is Electrolux/Frigidaire? Such a bad support that they cannot stand to their word. They do not return Email or calls. I will recommend that company for zero star.

I had a horrible experience with Electrolux, refrigerator, dishwasher, stoves, ovens. Their service is terrible. Do not buy anything from this company. I’ve had trouble with all their appliances. Purchased a matching refrigerator and freezer units with a trim kit for our newly built home. Prior to installing these units, both were plugged in to ensure they worked properly. The freezer did work without issue, however the refrigerator (after three services) still doesnt hold a temperature under 70 degrees. We asked for a replacement from the company we purchased it from (Jetson of Stuart Florida) and was told that the manufacture would not authorize a replacement because the unit could not be classified as unrepairable. Called the manufacture, and was told that they had no record of any service on the refrigerator. After the manufacture called the service department at Jetsons, and discovered no service call history was forwarded to the manufacture, all that could be done was another service call had to be set up. (Runaround, runaround). Of course a technician will get the unit to work for a few hours and again it will fail, and this merry-go-round will continue. I am out $2,000 and no working refrigerator. Buyer be aware, every seller of appliances must follow the manufacture replacement policies. Once you take delivery you are stuck.

My refrigerator needed a gasket. I ordered it through Electrolux. It wasnt delivered properly in the box. The gasket was in worst condition as my existing gasket. The gasket was exposed and clearly had been in heat for hours. Electrolux would not replace the gasket after speaking to a supervisor. Whos to say that the product was not of quality when the distributor packaged it. The supervisor offered a 20% discount to purchase another gasket. Oh my... why would I do that? I have a dishwasher, countertop stove, microwave, double oven and of course the refrigerator... all Electrolux! They have truly lost a customer and I will share with others not to buy an Electrolux product!

I purchased a Electrolux refrigerator in Oct. 2014. From the moment we plugged the unit in we had issues. Initially the ice maker would not work and the filters would crack and freeze. First service call, they ordered parts and we had to wait for them to come back and replaced the ice maker and filter intake. Then the filters continued to crack and freeze, the ice maker would stop and the temperature always felt warm in the refrigerator with it even set at 33 degrees and food continually went bad. We bought an internal thermometer and the top shelf read 55 degrees!! Second service call, they had to order parts and we had to wait for them to come back, food continued to rot. They came back and replace more parts. The refrigerator continues to not stay cool. Third service call, now we are waiting on more parts to be replaced. We cant keep food, cant keep food in the refrigerator that will spoil. We have requested that the unit be replaced and Electrolux continues to send out repair companies and they dont even care about the amount of money we have wasted in food OR our time that this has taken to even take care of all these issues. I am very dissatisfied with this product and would never recommend an Electrolux Refrigerator to any consumer looking for a counter depth unit. My last refrigerator was 15 plus years old and never had one issue!! The only reason we needed to replace the unit was because we needed a counter depth for a remodel. After doing some research and reading several reviews, it looks like I am not the only one that has a bad Electrolux Refrigerator, and they are expensive LEMONS!

Now it is not heating the oven and the service person is asking the bill to repair it under warranty. As per the manufacturing date on the oven is still valid for the warranty coverage. To repair it they need Rs 2500 to 3000 rupees. When oven cost itself is Rs 4000. Quality wise it is very very poor.

Continuing the drama from April 2015. After talking to a channel of people with this company, writing several letters and sending endless photos to the higher ups in this company, I will end my fight with them. I have to continue monthly blow-drying the interior door of the freezer to on freeze the water line and the back of my refrigerator continues to rust because of water leakage in the back inner panels of the body in this unit. I believe that it was defective from day 1 but the drawers are the most flimsy I have ever seen and are completely broken. Stick with GE and Whirlpool. Signing off.

Terrible customer service, I purchased double electrical range on April 22 2017, for almost 2,00.00, and my issues started. In beginning of September I notice that cooktop of range is starting melt, I called Electrolux, I was asked to send them a pictures, on September 24, 2017 so I did, once get a message that their side is not working, then second time, third time, all the same their site did not worked. Ok something wrong with email or their site. So on October 4, 2017 I decided to sent a pictures again, the same story try few times, the same reply site is not working. I contacted the local technician as per Frigidaire representative advise. Technician came in, made a picture and assure me within few days that he sent it to Frigidaire. Nothing happening. On October 24 again spoke to Frigidaire representative Quintavia and again sent the pictures, as she said that nothing is on my file. Nothing happening.Again on November 22 I spoke to Mona and again I heard that nothing is on my file, so again I resend the pictures, this time Mona called me back and confirm that she received the pictures and finally I got a case number. I was informed that the technician will have all the information from now. I spoke to technician and he told me that the new cooktop has been order and he is just waiting for its exchange, this was November 26, 2017. On December 5, technician has been still waiting for the part, on December 28 I called the Frigidaire with question when I can expect the repair to happened, and surprise I heard that nothing has been approved or ordered, and the Corporate supervisor told me that nothing can be done until January 3 2018. No apologies, no explanation, they did all properly and it seems to be my fault that I bought that range and that it is faulty. This is the worst customer service in my long life. It cost me two thousand and hours on the phone, a lot of stress. Frigidaire products are going down with quality, I am not sure, as I have a old fridge and this is one of the best, but for sure their customer service is the worst that happened to me, no one care, I felt like I was intrusion for staff and how dare I complain. If you can avoid please save yourself a lot of stress and time, spend a money with different company and have a less stress.

I bought a chest freezer from Electrolux and it broke within 6 days. And then I called right away to get it replaced and they only do repairs. So they told me I had to make an appointment to get a repair but they would get back to me in five days to do so because they didnt have any availability. A week and a half later I called and they said they were still waiting on service (after they put me on a brief hold for two hours). I told the lady I wanted an update the next day and she never called. So I called back the next day – still nothing and still waiting on service. I bought it from Home Depot and that is the second appliance I bought from home depot not only did I have problems with but customer service gave me problems. I am a contractor. I will not buy so much as a drywall screw from home depot. And I will not purchase or install an Electrolux application for myself or anyone else. I bought a Bosch DW, had it installed and then discovered that it didnt have a rinse-only cycle! So, I went back to the store, upgraded to an Electrolux and had the two switched out (with extra unintended expense, by the way, as the Electrolux was just a bit taller and required that I have floor tile removed - and reinstalled - in order for it to fit). That was 4 years ago. I purchased the extended warranty, just in case. But before the original warranty expired, Id had problems with glassware being cloudy, and with a garbage odor inside the dishwasher any time used the rinse-only cycle. (I always scrape dishes before I put them in for rinsing.) Repairman could never find the reason for the odor; plumber verified that the installation was correct and no crimp in the drain line. Odor continued. After another complaint, this time because some items on the top shelf remained dirty, repairman noted that the upper spray arm was catching on the wand that supported it. Fixed it, but have had intermittent similar problems. Had not called for repair, mainly due to the inconvenience of scheduling and needing to be home for the visit, but also because of some health issues that for a while diverted my attention. Now, after a few months of finding one or two items on the top shelf looking as if hot water never reached them, I called once more. Surprise! My extended warranty expired last year!!! (Upon checking, I find that the e.w. on my Electrolux oven has expired, as well.) I was never notified of the need to renew either warranty! The customer service rep with whom I spoke about this earlier this week admitted that there had been a problem with their notification system, but suggested that I had the responsibility of keeping up with that sort of thing!! I will NEVER purchase another Electrolux product, which, by the way is nothing more than a dressed-up Frigidaire. I have Frigidaire front-loading washer and dryer, which I hate (washer door will not close properly and dryer never has dried sheets or towels on the first cycle!) and about which repairmen just make excuses. Stupid me, I didnt know that both brands were essentially the same. Bottom line, count me totally dissatisfied with both labels!!

I Bought my Electrolux Washer and Dryer in 2010, but have an Extended Service Warranty. So for a long time Ive noticed black mold building up under and around Draw where you place bleach and liquid soap, but I would take out and clean and dry off. When stated by the machine I would remove detergent cup, put one Cup of Bleach and run CLEAN CYCLE. This is done to remove and clean any mold that might build up Im guessing. But this is not occurring. Smell still came out of machine and I would leave door open and run cleaning cycle more often and also wipe down door and inside of machine of any liquid along with soap dispenser drawer. My great Nieces have been getting sick chest, throat, and nose during the spring and summer months. Then my Son and I got bad rashes which needed medical attention. So I looked at the machine trying to figure out if that was the cause of Rashes and how to get rid of this smell. I got a flash light and looked into the OPENING where the Detergent Draw goes into and far back I see black build up way back on all sides except bottom. This is NOT NORMAL... I contacted Electrolux to inform them to see. Maybe there is something they are doing or have done or recall to correct these issues but... all they tell me is to reference in manual and wipe down a wet areas which I do detergent drawers, I even go as far as drying washing area door, drum and rubber molding inside which makes door waterproof. I hope they read this and come up with a better solution then wipe down drawers, the area Im talking about cant be reached to wipe down. I have posted a picture here. RUNNING the CLEANING CYCLE DOES nothing to help this situation and needs to be corrected.

Almost immediately after the original warranty ended, it stopped heating. It was too costly to repair - we spent a couple hundred dollars on it and ended up just getting a new one. Same model but with the extended warranty. Glad we did, but after 4 service calls and it still doesnt turn on consistently, I will NEVER PURCHASE AN ELECTROLUX APPLIANCE AGAIN. BEWARE OF THIS BRAND. Purchased top of the line Electrolux dishwasher in 2010 (cost a fortune) and have cursed the dishwasher each and every time I took the dishes out after washing. Nothing ever came out sparkling clean from the first day I used it. The water never was hot enough because the dishwasher didnt have a heating coil to heat the water to a temperature that would give excellent results. I dropped the extended warranty and prayed and hoped it would break down and sure enough 6 years later it did just that. It was the happiest day of my dishwashing life. I promptly went out and bought a Kitchen-aid mid-range dishwasher with 3 drawers. An upper flat rack for utensils and the dishwasher is wonderful. No more Electrolux for me ever.

I did a kitchen reno 3 years ago and through lots of contemplation on which manufacturer to purchase our appliance package from, we chose Electrolux. We purchase the wave technology fridge and Induction stove. We could not have purchase any higher end of a product from Sears other than the GE Profile package, but they did not release an induction cooktop at the time. WHAT A MISTAKE!!! The stove has had several service calls as one of the burners has no heating intensity. The service people that have been coming out have no clue what they are doing and cannot fix the stove. They basically say it is normal. Still working on that problem to get it rectified. We also noticed our laminate floor was swelling a few weeks ago and after investigating the possible cause, I pulled out the fridge and sure enough the floor was all damaged and stained with rust. I had Sears service come to investigate and the end result is it cannot be repaired as it has a manufacturing defect. Seems that Electrolux just happened to not design the fridge with any insulation at the back of the fridge. WOW! I purchased the Extended warranty from Sears due to the cost of these High End appliance and the high cost to purchase.Well that fell flat on support. Sears has offered a credit of $1170.00 toward a purchase of a new replacement fridge as my compensation for the NO Lemon policy on the warranty. Not happy with this result, I contacted Electrolux customer service and asked to speak with a Manager. I was bluntly told that there was no further person to talk to and that Electrolux does not care about any issues after the initial year is over and it will be impossible to expect any input or assistance to replace the fridge that was improperly designed and built! Unbelievable... I am now going to be financially burdened with a $3000 plus cost out of pocket!! What a kick in the teeth after thinking if I purchased High End (JOKE) product, it would pay off.It is looking like I will have to replace my fridge and will now have mismatched appliances in my kitchen, especially since it will not be an Electrolux product. That would be a cold day in Hell!!! I cannot believe what Electrolux is pulling off here. I would be willing to start a class action lawsuit if we could group enough people together to fight this company for selling Improperly manufactured product and not owning up to it.

DONT RECOMMEND TO BUY ELECTROLUX PRODUCTS!!! Bought a brand new unit of Electrolux EWT903 XW top loader washing machine last August 2015. This is 9 kg washing machine for 2 person. We also seldom use the machine since we go out of town always. The machine suddenly broke down on October 2016. Call the Electrolux Philippines head office for request to check the machine problem. The service was so bad, that it took more than 3 weeks to schedule to checkup. The Check up was done on Nov 26, and the service technician advised that the Gate valve below the machine to let the water flow out was damaged. Asked the Service Technician the cause of damage, the service Technician also dont know. Later, the Office call me, and explained the cause of damage may be as ff: 1) Electric fluctuation 2) overload. This 2 reason are so dumb stupid reason, since we seldom use the machine. My conclusion is there must a design problem for this Electrolux EWT903 EW washing machine. DONT RECOMMEND TO BUY.

I bought Electrolux dryer EFMG627UTT recently on Sep 18. Dryer is taking too long to dry and customer service is poor. They already change the motherboard board and temp sensor. The predictive dry is stupid feature and not working good. The empty dryer with no load is running 1 hr and they claim that it can sense the load and moisture and predict accurately the running time. Means it should stop cycle in few min when load and moisture is 0. But still it predicts 57 min and running for 57. Technicians Jose says it is normal and per tech specification and when I asked what is the tech spec, he said he dont know. None of them in customer care knows that spec. After the warranty expired both dishwashers started to develop problems. They would not totally drain. I had both serviced at different times and the same problem continues. The service mechanic called customer service to see if there was a recall and was told no and that they werent aware of a major problem. We bought all new Electrolux appliances for our kitchen 4 years ago through Appliance Factory. Within the first year the ice maker quit working. Called Brand Source and they installed an upgrade but it never made ice regularly again. By the way folks, if you have Electrolux Model EW28BS701S1 and you have ice making problems, it will never be fixed. We got used to ice cube trays and bagged ice. I recently called Brand Source for repairs on 3 of my appliances (other stories for another day) and the first thing they did was take $500 to install new mother boards. It made a small amount of ice when the tech left to never make ice again. I called Brand Source again and asked for a different tech. After 15 minutes, he took pictures inside the ice maker, called Electrolux and then told me I would get a new refrigerator. The fingers in the ice maker are defective and they have known it all along. By the time Electrolux contacted me for the fridge swap, I wanted my $500 back. Electrolux said their only concern was to get me a new fridge. I called Brand Source and they basically said it was not their problem because the ice maker was making ice when the tech left the first time. I called Appliance Factory since they were going to be the ones delivering the new fridge and she also said it was not their problem since the fridge would get sent back to Electrolux. I figured I owned the fridge since I owned the $500 mother boards in it and was told I could not keep it. Basically I paid $500 for another refrigerator that would make ice (it was a very expensive refrigerator). The replacement is quite sub par compared to the one I had. It has gray dimple sides and the drawers are cheaply made. My original fridge was all stainless steel and heavy. So far I have ice. What a scam.

Never buy an Electrolux side-by-side refrigerator with a water dispenser and ice maker. We bought one in 2011. After the first year, the water dispenser began to function erratically (the water wouldnt stop running). Over time, this problem cascaded into a myriad of problems that caused the entire unit to fail. We had paid for the extended warranty, so Electrolux replaced it. But now, the replacement unit has the same problems! Were reluctant to start the repair process, fearing this unit may also self-destruct. Our only option is to again pay $800 for the extended warranty but a good product should not require customers to endlessly invest in warranties. This product seems to have an inherent defect that the company has failed to fix. Save yourself this grief and buy some other brand of refrigerator besides an Electrolux.

Please, do not be enticed by Electrolux. We purchased a suite of appliances in 2009 for close to $10,000, and have fortunately renewed our warranties every three years. We have had work done on all four appliances. We are on our 3rd French door fridge with ice/water dispenser in the door. We are currently having to pay delivery and installation to replace our microwave because the one we have can not be repaired; the part is on back order for an indeterminate period of time. We still do not have a delivery date.Yesterday, we got Error 01 on our dishwasher. We looked up the error code, which said there was a leak. We checked all the connections for leaks; there was none. We read what others said were their experiences in forums and discovered that once that particular error code comes up, the dishwasher is basically done for. We tried wiping it out, drying it out with the fan trained on the open door. We cut the circuit breaker, then restored power. We unplugged and replugged. Nothing worked. Another repair order has to be made before they can determine it cannot be repaired! That means another long wait for a replacement, for which we most likely have to pay delivery and installation. Buyer beware, caveat emptor!

I have had this stove for about 2 months, replacing a 20 year old smooth top range. I thought this was a lot of bang for the buck with some features of much more $$$ stoves. I researched quite a bit and found the price very good @ Best Buy, since according to the salesman, the BTU rating is low for today's standards(how fast DO you need water to boil?), so the stove had been marked down for 'clearance'. It is smart looking and performs as expected. One minor mishap that one night it beeped with an error message while I was in the middle of cooking dinner and the only remedy I could find with some internet searching was to throw the circuit off and back on. It hasn't happened again. I use the stove 2-3 times a day as I cook and bake almost daily.

Bought a brand new Electrolux model EIFLS60LT washing machine. It had to be repaired three times in the first year. Each time they would come out and work on it they also had to order parts. We went without a washing machine two times for a month and one time for two months. We had to wait for parts that would take forever to get in. I purchased an extended warranty. Guess what broke down again. I asked to get the machine replaced. They said I started a new extended warranty and it will have to break down three times before they will replace it. I had also asked when it was under the manufacture warranty if they would replace the machine. They said it would have to go to a review board to see if that was acceptable. They never called back. Please purchase a Maytag for your own peace of mind.

We purchased an Electrolux front load washer-dryer from Lowes Home Center on 05/14/11. We also purchased an extended protection, 4 year plan at that time.We have had problems ever since we purchased the washer. It will not drain the water. We contacted Lowe’s, and they sent a repair technician to check the machine. We have had 4 or 5 service technicians in all to come out. The machine still will not drain. One technician told us our drain pipe was too tall, so I cut the pipe to the height I was told it needed to be. The machine worked for two and a half loads and stopped draining. The last technician said because we have a septic tank, we had to put in a p-trap to keep back flow air from stopping the machine from draining. I installed the trap. It still will not drain. My wife called the technician again and was told this was not their problem. They told her that they could not keep coming out to our home. What can we do about this problem?

We purchased a washer and gas dryer in June 2017. The washer is ok but the dryer seemed to take longer and longer to dry. The lint screen turns out to be the problem as it does not seal and lets lint get by into the blower. The blower blades get packed full and the safety heat circuits shut the gas off. Appears Electrolux also figured that the lint screen filter was a faulty design and on the new model did a complete redesign!! I will not use the dryer since Electrolux has not designed or manufactured a parts correction and will not sell it to anyone else as it appears to be a fire hazard!

I bought Electrolux Fridge for a small condo. The Fridge is tall and slick, perfect from my condo that is used only 3 months a year. Problem: makes a snoring sound, water in the back of the back of the fridge, drips all the time. Sometimes it freezes. I called Electrolux from the store, they told me I have to talk to the manufacturer. They send someone but the problem remains the same. I called them again. They told me since a year has passed I have to pay one of their authorized technician to look at it, so I called a technician and paid him. He came while I was away. I assumed problem is fixed. When back in Toronto the problem is worse. Fridge has more water on the back. I called the manufacturer they said they never received a report from their technician and since a year has passed it is not their problem. Basically Electrolux does not and does not stand behind their product. They will have a reason not deal with you. I tell everyone please, please do not buy Electrolux Fridge. It is a problem. Do not judge a book by its cover. It looks good but it is the worst quality you will ever get.

Based on positive reviews across the web, bought Electrolux EFLS617 washer and matching dryer. Empty Nest household - Washer quit after 6 weeks. Warranty service into 3rd week wait. Local Service provider stated failed part is recall, and tells us min 2 weeks. I call 2 weeks later, part ordered through distributor and is on back order with no eta available. Called Electrolux for help to on recalled part; Electrolux rep stated part is not recall and would not assist in tracking part down. Asked to speak to customer satisfaction dept; rep stated This is Electrolux customer satisfaction and said no more. It appears Electrolux reps are trained robots assigned to only check failed appliance is registered under your name. This rep deflected all my questions to local service provider. No help, no empathy, no apology for failure or inconvenience. Attitude not helpful - I suspect that failure is their normal. And I’m stuck without a washer. Sorry I bought this washer.

We purchased Electrolux dishwasher, electric range, and fridge; have had for 4 years. First the ice maker handle broke. I ordered one from Electrolux thinking it was out of warranty. Later I found we had purchased extended warranty. By this time, the digital display on the range was not working so we called for service repair. We purchased from Lowes so their service company was A&E. They came, looked at the stove, and said they ordered a control module which I disagreed with. I said it needed the clock display module, but who was I to argue because I am not an appliance repair person, but I am a General Motors and Subaru master technician. I discussed with the service person that I had already paid for and installed a new ice maker control module not realizing it was still under warranty. So I proposed to him, “You order me a new ice module as I still have the old broken one to turn in under warranty. You can tell your company you replaced it. If you like, just leave the new module with me because if it’s broken this soon it’s bound to break again.” So the parts come and so does a different repair person. He gives me the ice module and then shows me the control board which I tell him is not the right part, but he says he is going to install it anyway. He tells me he has never worked on an Electrolux. To make long story short, he broke my cook top, had to order a new cook top, and he also ordered the clock module that I knew was the problem. They never did get the cook top mounted correctly and now my icemaker is broken again. The water and ice will not shut off, so I get the new ice module and install it...It’s junk right out of the box. I called Electrolux; they could care less...DO NOT BUY THESE APPLIANCES.

This product was purchased in December 2006 and installed in our home in April 2007 after our home remodel was completed. When we purchased this product, it came to our home from Home Depot in a box. However, after only 4 years, the freezer has stopped working. And, when the repair man came to check the product, he pointed out to us that the product had welder soot marks around the left back bottom and parts had been refurbished inside the unit. In short, the product was not a new product when we purchased it from Home Depot in 2006.When we contacted Home Depot about this matter, the appliance manager was very concerned and stated that they will be checking all products from Frigidaire for refurbished soot marks. He also stated that the freezer should not have stopped working after just a short length of time.As a result, we have contacted our attorney. Our attorney explained that his office will be contacting the FDA and also the Federal Consumer Affairs Office in Washington and request a full investigation into this matter. It is suspected that Frigidaire is selling refurbished products; and 100s of other consumers may have been scammed as well. The product arrived at my home from Home Depot in the manufacturers box and sold to us as a new product. However, the repair annalist informed us on 3 November 2011 that the product was refurbished not new!We called Frigidaire Customer Care Center today at 1-980-236-2000 and talked to a representative who had an extremely illiterate tone over the phone. In short, he basically told us to go to hell.1000s are being scammed by Electrolux Corp (Frigidaire distributor). Please investigate! Thank you.

We have owned this Electrolux Wave Touch (electric) for now two years and experienced nothing but problems with the electronics. Every time we use self clean, something else fails. I expect a $2,500 range to be more than sufficient in reliability. After all, what good is a great range when on Thanksgiving day you have to explain to sixteen guest why you cant finish a holiday meal as the range top does not work after the bird is done? Heck, two service calls later and we are now canceling our Christmas celebration as it still is not corrected.Just say NO to the Wave Touch and I suspect the engineered quality is no better on the lesser models. FYI - calling Electrolux on a two year old unit, as suspected they could care less. Frigidaire Pro series side by side (made by Electrolux) at a year old took five service calls before they said replace it as we cant figure it out. Thats another NO to buy.

For sure the knobs will be damaging every year for Electrolux stovetop and you need to buy every year. Very poor quality design and expensive.I have issue with Electrolux microwave too. Worst design I have ever seen. The handle screw got loose and dropped into the door and there is no option to fix the screen. When I called them, they said I need to order entire door for 600 dollars. What a design. They design their products to rob the customers for years. DONT buy any Electrolux product. We bought dishwasher and in first 30 days we had Error Code 11 pop up and dishwasher wouldnt start. We bought from Nebraska Furniture Mart and they sent a gentleman out to look at it. He stated it wasnt draining properly and the hose needed to be higher. Less than a year later, just after warranty ran out, it did it again. Electrolux then stated we had to pay for repairs. We had tech come out and charge us for call and stated it could be two parts, the control board or drain valve. We replaced both and it still didnt work. After spending over $1000.00 on this dishwasher and several hundreds of dollars later, we are trashing it and buying a different brand. NEVER buy this product. They dont stand behind them and paying that much for a dishwasher that only lasted 1 year is ridiculous!

Purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator at BrandsMart. A month or so later I received warranty offer to extend the warranty. I paid for it in December 2016 and forgot about it. Then at the end of January I received another invoice from same people for same appliance. I paid it not remembering that I had already paid it in December. I called the customer service line to ask why another invoice had been sent, and the customer service rep said... oh that happens all the time and you will probably get another invoice in the mail. This sounded like a very common occurrence, so I said well I paid it and should not have done so. I called my bank to stop payment on the check I wrote for a duplicate payment. Then in February I get a letter from Electrolux that I owed them $30 as a fee for the stop payment. When I called them, they insisted that I should not have done that as they processed it as if I wanted to extend the warranty out further to 6 years. What! Same bill for same period, why would I extend a 3 year warranty to 6 years when it is not even indicated as an option on the invoice? When on the invoice it only indicates up to a 3 year warranty! It all sounds like fraud to me. The extra invoices sent out trying to get people to double pay, charging a fee for stopping a duplicate payment. It seems that this is a very dishonest organization, and no one seems to care how they treat their customers.

Over the past 6 months they have sent 5 Electrolux certified repairmen over. Each one has given me a different excuse and remedy. I finally talked to one of these repairmen and asked why I kept getting these remedies and not a replacement and I was informed that if he were to say that the dishwasher needed to be returned or replaced that he might lose his contract as a certified Electrolux repairman. We purchased our Washer Dryer set less than a year ago. Already it has broken down twice. Both times, a bolt that holds the pulley to the back of the drum has loosened itself causing the pulley to cut into the drum housing and cause leakage. When contacting Electrolux the first time, the repair company they sent made 4 trips out to repair the unit, and we were without a working washer for several weeks. This time they dispatched a company that came out to assess the problem and then returned several days later to make the repair. They showed up at 8:00 pm on a Sunday night, and it is now 11:23 pm and it still isnt back together. To top it off, the repair person just informed me that a wire inside the machine was damaged and he will have to order a new one and return again. Electrolux has told us they will not replace the machine as long as their technician says it is repairable. I am very disappointed. For what we pay for these high end appliances, customer service is a joke. I live 35 miles from the nearest laundromat, and this is a total pain in the ** for my family of four... We have had to resort to hand washing my childrens school uniforms daily to get by and Electrolux seems to feel we arent entitled to a product that performs as advertised. I hope someone files a class action suit. I will never purchase Electrolux products again. Frigidaire has destroyed what was once the best brand name in the business.

Buyer beware, as you can see all over this site the Electrolux refrigerator has a long term known problem. I have experienced the same problems as others, within the first 30 days after purchase I had 5 tech visits to fix the moisture problem coming out of our ice machine. They finally got it to stop dripping, or so we thought. What we have found, now outside of warranty, is that the dripping water was being diverted to the rear of the unit. Building up moisture in the rear insulation of the unit causing the rear wall to swell and rusting the back panel from the inside out. We learned of this because one morning my wife went to get ice and a weird noise happened and the fridge went out. We found that the swelling caused the ice machine to dislodge and a wire fell into the ice, froze in the ice and then was torn out when we turned on the ice maker for ice.We contacted Electrolux and they had another tech come out. The solution - put a 2 foam pad on the back of the unit. So now I have moisture inside of the internal insulation, a fried motherboard, wires exposed and my counter depth unit sticks out of the built in cabinet! To add insult to injury they agreed verbally to provide a labor concession on the ice maker if I bought the parts. After 30 days of arguing I agreed to buy the parts and now they said they never agreed to a labor concession!!! This has been a horribly frustrating process, so do your homework before purchasing from Electrolux. Of the 5 appliances we bought for our new home 3 of them required service in the first 12 months (fridge, microwave and dishwasher). I just wish that Electrolux owned up to their known moisture issue and even outside of warranty stood behind their product. This same issue has been going on for years but I guess they can get by with it! I hope this helps.

I decided to call back to see what was going on and it turns out that the rebate was declined because my zip code was missing from the invoice from the store, yet I entered it on the application. All the other information was identical. They state that I was notified via email but never received anything regarding it. We purchased a new home from a builder and moved in January of 2015. The home had new stainless steel Electrolux kitchen appliances, including the 30 built-in microwave (EW30SO60QSA). The appliances came with a 1 year manufacturers warranty. Later that year we noticed the handle on the door was becoming unstable & loose. I called the 800 warranty number & a local repair technician came to repair the handle. After an hour or more of trying to find a way to access the handle screws he gave up and just ordered a new door. In a few days the new door was delivered & he installed it. I dont have exact dates because it was done under warranty & I didnt get a bill. Now the 2nd door has the same problem & cant be repaired. I paid a technician who tried to repair the handle & he couldnt. He said the only option is to pay $460 plus shipping & installation for a new door. I called the Electrolux customer service number to see if they could make some sort of allowance for the what seems to a product design defect. I was told by a supervisor that they dont acknowledge the problem & I should have bought the extended warranty for the microwave. So,I dont recommend Electrolux or their appliances.

Freezer door handle cannot be secured, and thusly hangs loosely and sloppy. If my recollection is correct, I believe this unit was billed as the most quiet refrigerator ever when first released. We purchased a top of the line Electrolux gas range in January. Our intention was to have it installed at our cottage in May, (which we did do with a licensed service company). Since it was installed we have had problems with the double burner. It turns on with a small explosion and when it does light, it does not have flame all around the burner. The service man attempted to repair the problem but gave up and told us to contact Electrolux to have one of their warranty approved service companies to look at this range. I called Electrolux and received the names of three service companies. One only worked on electric ranges, one stopped doing warranty work the week previous, and the other one refused to travel to my location as we live out of the town limits. When I called Electrolux back, they advised me to find a service man that would work on our unit and have them complete the repairs and send them a copy of the bill and they would then forward a cheque to cover all of the repairs costs. I contacted my original service man and he agreed to take another look at the problem. Which he did. He ascertained that there is a manufacturing defect with that burner. I have now been on the phone for 35 minutes listening to the message of how important my call is to them. My impression so far? They may stand behind their product, but only to wave goodbye as it leaves the factory. This is the last Electrolux appliance I will EVER buy!

A small and simple to replace part (the latch for the dispenser drawer) broke on my EIFLW55HIW0 model washing machine. I contacted Electrolux expecting to be able to order the part. They referred me to their parts manual (which required going to the Frigidaire website). Unfortunately the part was not shown and I was told I would have to purchase the entire assembly. When I told the support person that I had no assembly that even looked like their parts diagram, they essentially said, well that is the parts diagram. There is a clearly labelled part number on the drawer assembly, but it does not match their parts diagram. In other words, although the model number is the same, the design has clearly been changed so that matching parts are no longer available. There is no part number for the part that is broken so apparently that was not considered a separate part.

We purchased - largely for being identical in appearance - the Electrolux dishwasher, oven, and microwave set for a remodeled kitchen. Heres my experience with all three, plus other info. Dishwasher 1: Simply did not clean dishes. Three warranty service calls did not fix. Replaced with the identical Electrolux dishwasher. Dishwasher 2 (replacement): Leaked water onto the kitchen floor, and made an amazingly loud and unacceptable noise in operation. Two warranty service calls did not fix the leak and could not diagnose the noise. Lowes took it back and we replaced it with a now out-of-place looking but functional Kitchenaid.Oven: Several of the blue bars on the lighted timer/temperature indicators are not fully functional at one year old (off warranty), so have to guess at temperatures and time. Very expensive to repair. Went through one temp. probe warranty repair (it was not connected internally at the factory). Troubleshooted and replaced a faulty second probe. The oven has twice stopped functioning, but I was able to get it operational by rebooting it (shutting off the appliance breakers, then turning them back on). Note: At the same time, my son, who lives 500 miles away, also bought the same type Electrolux oven, and he also has experienced the loss of some of the blue bars that constitute the numbers needed for time and temperature reading.Microwave: Many of the blue bars that constitute the numbers for time are not functional. Try operating a microwave without fully functional numbers for time, etc. The cost of the repair (replacement of the electronics is almost half the cost of an entire new unit. We limp along as is because of our attempt to match the appliances in the kitchen, and we are not about to replace with the identical Electrolux. Note: My son bought the identical microwave and he has the same problems. These things tell me that Electrolux shipped an entire batch of ovens and microwaves across the US with faulty lighted numbers. The shipping of two out-of-box failure dishwashers is almost unbelievable. I dont know how a company can survive with such a record of failures across three product lines.

Electrolux Washer Model EIFLS55IIW1 - Washing machine delivered 1/25/2014. Purchased matching dryer 6/1/14. Dryer control panel dies after three months. Repaired under warranty. Just short of 22 months of delivery washer does not spin out clothes. $100 for repairman to come out. Says, Broken belt. Comes back a week later with belt. But NO, not the belt, the pulley, and the pulley ate into the drum, destroying that as well. 22 months old and washer is considered totaled by repairman. However, can be fixed for $1,200 for parts and labor. Wait, I only bought this 22 months ago for $899. Now the fun, Electrolux says that it will warranty parts and that I can pay for the labor. Again, top of the line machine should of lasted at least 5 years, not 22 months!! Frigidaire washer made by Electrolux stood the test of four teenagers, dog blankets, horse blankets, etc., but the more expensive top of the line model could not stand up to two senior citizens doing normal washes, with the wife doing all the appropriate cleanings on machine. Bottom line, if I did not have the stackable set I would of not replaced it with this piece of junk. Even wife says the first machine did not clean the clothes properly, not enough water, and ran far beyond time for a load of wash. Recommendation: Stay away from the Electrolux line. Read the other comments about water, service, etc. They are not going to help and the new machine to replace was even more than the first one. No discounts, no credits. Nothing from Electrolux. Dont buy is our recommendation!

All Electrolux Appliances were purchased for my kitchen in a remodel. Microwave model E130MH55GSA: top vent was broken and needed a replacement before the warranty was up. Electrolux did send the part free, not once but twice. They did not seem surprised. They knew of others with the same issue. Okay, happy with that. However, this model oddly does not have a turn table and there is a huge amount of moisture that develops on the floor of the unit when cooking. This causes a big mess and can be slippery and dangerous when removing items from the unit. Dont really know what to make of it. It does cook well and I never really put water in the food because of all the water that seems to come from nowhere during cooking, a bit messy. I was told by Sears and Electrolux they dont need a turn-table. However, I see that all the newer models all now have turn-tables.Now to the Electrolux gas range model EW30GF65GSB. It has been satisfactory with the exception that one of the iron grills came in damaged. Since this was new and under warranty, I was able to get a new one sent out to me free. The oven is consistently under heated. It does not get as hot as the temperature shows. I either have to cook food longer or raise the temperature. I can live with this.I also have an Electrolux refrigerator model EW23CS65GS1 and it has been problematic. Right after the warranty was up, the indoor water dispenser would continue to allow water to flow. We could not get it to stop thus running water all over the floor. By chance I figured out after a major flood on my ceramic floor nearly to the wood area that opening the door would finally stop the water flow. Company came when it was working and this flood happened all over again. It took forever to find a repairman who would come to replace the part I ordered from Electrolux. You cant get these parts anywhere in any major city I know of. I am in Austin, TX. It was repaired after weeks of waiting and arranging for a repairman. Then my filters began to fail. Right after I replaced one, it failed within the first month. I discovered this by finding a pool of water at the front of the refrigerator. With further investigation I found wet walls inside and a full pool of water at the refrigerator floor. This was a puzzle and I did not know what had caused all the water. We continued to use the water dispenser not knowing that the leaking filter was causing the spray of water on the inside, down the walls and on the unit floor. The leaking out on the floor occurred when it had nowhere else to go. It was impossible for me to get the company to replace the nearly new filter that costs around $30 plus $7 or so every 6 months to get them sent. They should have sent it for free. You cant find these for purchase in any major city I know of. Therefore you must order ahead and always pay shipping. However, there is an air filter too that needs to be replaced every 6 months for an additional $30 plus shipping because it cant be purchased in the city either. I wish it had ended there, but no, the new one failed. I have spent hours with this company just getting my call through, getting routed to the right department, waiting on hold, and waiting for parts to arrive.Electrolux advised me that I should buy an extend warranty I believe would cost me $150 or so per appliance to cover these things. Can you imagine? I purchased these appliances because Sears recommended them as dependable appliances. Sadly, this has not been the case. I did not purchase the new warranties. Then Electrolux advised me further to purchase a replacement filter housing to prevent another leak. I called my repairman who advised me to try another filter. I was unable to use the dispenser and have ice in the freezer for weeks while trying to get all this resolved and on the phone countless times and hours to attempt to get faulty filters replaced free since they were failing. I was refused over and over by representatives and even managers who told me they would not sent a free replacement and the manager hung up on me on more than one occasion. I was finally successful with repeated calls to get a manager to send the replacement without further cost. There have been no further leaks so far and no housing replacement as advised, who knows what will go next. I have had the filter in for a couple of months now with four yet to go.I have saved the best or should I say the worst appliance for last, the Electrolux dishwasher model EWDW6505GS0. I have had to replace the motor pump that failed out of warranty. The unit shuts down and beeps until you attend to it. It gives a digital error code to tell Electrolux and repairmen. Somehow in the process of getting the part sent from Electrolux after the standard 7-10 business days, I got not one part but two. I kept the new on for reserve; they aren’t really on top of it in the parts department apparently since they send some things twice. Finding a dishwasher repairman for Electrolux that had a good rating was a challenge. The part was finally replaced without having a dishwasher for three weeks. Then I start getting a new error and I try to get a repairman out. I tell him about the replaced motor pump and he thinks changing it out with the one I have in reserve will get it working again. Why he did this I am not sure, because once he had it installed it gave the same error code. I told him I couldnt pay him for replacing a part that he didnt provide and he did not fix the problem. I gave him minimal payment and also got a scratched up ceramic floor out of this deal. Then I began to notice that the wood floor next to the dishwasher and cabinets to the next room was wet. Now I have to have extensive wood flooring replaced. The repairman had not gotten the water supply attached properly. Even though I was unable to use the dishwasher, water continued to leak out under the cabinet to the wood floor. This is not Electrolux’s fault directly, but if their appliance was working properly in the first place, I would not have had this unit worked on thus causing the water damage to my wood flooring. I called a plumber who discovered the leak from the attachment to the dishwasher to be inadequate. The water damage may also be caused by the faulty drain valve kit. This was ordered after much time spent with Electrolux on the phone after the dishwasher repairman put on the motor pump that did not fix the problem. Electrolux representatives told me the error code required a drain valve kit. I waited past the standard 7-10 days for the part to arrive. It never did, I spent all evening and the next morning with numerous representatives to try and get drain valve kit sent. My credit card charge had already gone through and was paid without any part. It was finally determined that the part was sent to another person entirely. First I was told I would have to wait until the other party sent the part back. I complained. After much hold time then transferring, I as told to call back the next day since all the managers were now gone for the day. Today after telling my story over and over again to several representatives, more holds, and transfers, I was told they could not ship it over-night for free because a dishwasher did not have priority. Are you kidding-- I had been waiting now for 15 days with no part and no dishwasher. I bought what I was led to believe to be a dependable dishwasher for quite a sum of money that isnt doing the dishes and is costing me more time, more money, and additional home repairs. It is a priority to me. The representative hung up on me. I called again and finally got someone who put me on hold for 30 minutes but agreed to send the part I have already paid for overnight at no additional charge. Of course the story still goes on since I still dont have the part and dont know if it will get the dishwasher running. Then there is the problem with my wood floor damage. I have that to deal with too. Thanks Electrolux for wasting a lot of my time and money. I will never purchase another product from you again. I think Electrolux needs to stop selling lemon appliances and do right by their customers. I paid $7,678.81 for problematic appliances that continue to cost me time and money.

I purchased an Electrolux Refrigerator Model EW288571150 in August 2010. Since my purchase, I have had 16 service calls. Out of the 16 service calls, I believe 5 parts have been replaced. I do understand Sears policy and procedures but this can become very frustrating. I did speak to someone at Electrolux on 08-08-2012 and she did explain that my problem was with the bottom rack of my ice maker. At this point, Im now waiting on that part to be replaced and I do hope that this is the answer. The appliance is beautiful, but do constantly have to experience my refrigerator going out and losing food because of the refrigerator defrosting.

This has to be the worst refrigerator that I have ever owned! The water line for the water dispenser constantly freezes up. You have to defrost the fridge to get it to start working again. The ice maker just died. The clips for the drawers are always breaking so you have to replace them. The door shelves have broken. The freezer had water leaking on to the bottom and ice built up which would start to leak onto the floor. Hey... but it looks nice. Garbage! Dont ever buy one.

I purchased a new French door refrigerator in 2009. Since then I had the ice maker repaired or replaced several times and actually replaced twice. I still have problems with the unit. Originally the ice maker was a major problem. Now after having received the third unit the water dispensing mechanism is not working. You would think that after paying good money for a French door refrigerator, that it would last for at least 5-10 years problem-free. I will not buy from this company again.

Our Electrolux range now 4 years old has been plagued with problems. Wave control replaced twice, self-cleaning usage has twice fried the controls on back of range. We are being quoted $1200 in new parts plus labor to repair, money up front and no guarantee. Obviously we will be scrapping this piece of junk and buying another brand. Electrolux has now offered us 70% off another model but wont advise what model or price level. They really assume no responsibility for their products. We are also discussing the matter with a lawyer as both Electrolux and repair outlets are aware of the continuing problems but are taking responsibility for them. Our last technician also advised our range has a heat shield plate missing from it but that is my problem not theirs. I will also be contacting my home builder to advise them of our ongoing issues with Electrolux products.

About 3 years ago we remodeled our kitchen and purchased the top model refrigerator that Electrolux had to offer. Within a year, they replaced the entire refrigerator for free because the ice maker could not be repaired. After owning the second refrigerator for a year, we began to experience problems with the ice maker again. We had to pay $250 to have the ice maker replaced. Now, another year in, we are having issues again. The ice maker has stopped producing ice again and I have had to call a serviceman to come and repair it. This is really frustrating and disappointing. I would never purchase nor recommend an Electrolux refrigerator again. Call Electroluxs customer service was fruitless.

3 calls, 2 separate trips to fix our Frigidaire dishwasher which Electrolux does the installs for on new homes. 3 times the dishwasher has flooded our kitchen floor and all we get a substandard fixes and trite customer service. The home builder said after three times they are supposed to replace the appliance and Electrolux does not want to do that. They only want to send someone out to fix again. Electrolux is only in the business of warrantying and not resolving issues. Dont give them the time of day. Save your breath even if the warranty service is free and go buy a new unit from Lowes or Home Depot.

Electrolux is not living up to the no lemon clause of their service contract which states that if the same part on an appliance is replaced three times the customer is entitled to a cash settlement or another comparable appliance. This contract is not followed by Electrolux for my washer because they do not maintain the records. I have an email from them which states this. Furthermore, the local service companies they use also have no accurate records. They reuse the same service tickets and do not record the part numbers so it is impossible for the customer to make a claim. I have proof of this as well. My transmission was replaced at least four times. They lie about fixing the machine which is still broken. According to them the washer moving away from the wall and damaging components is normal and operating according to factory specifications. Is this case a candidate for a class action law suit or other action?

I will pitch in with a control panel complaint too. I had to replace panels or boards, and the clock control. It cost me about $1,000.00 to get it sorted. This on a range less than 4 years old. We expected it to last at least 8 years. And it was expensive. The repair folks indicated they see a lot of condensation problems. Electrolux hasnt got a handle on this. I contacted Electrolux and they initially seemed helpful, but they were just stringing me along. They said they would give me a reduction if I bought a new one. Right! I cant hardly afford the repairs on the one I have let alone spending another 2 grand on a new range. Stay away folks, stay away!

Double wall oven, undercounter ice maker, fridge, dishwasher and six burner cooktop. Problems with everything except the cooktop. Finally had to threaten contacting state Attorney General. Most have complaint forms online. I agree that they rely heavily on you purchasing an extended warranty.

36 Electrolux Icon Professional Series Counter Depth French Door - For a refrigerator that costs 3700.00 you would think it would last WELL. You would be WRONG. Not a good investment. I do not recommend this product at all. We have had the rubber seals go bad. Pieces of some plastic just brake off and now the repairman tells us that the ice maker just ate itself. We have no power to it at all, good thing we were home. The service guy said he has seen where they have caught fire. Again glad we were home. Customer service is NO HELP AT ALL. If it was broke we did it and not covered. We have our old fridge downstairs. It is 10 years old and was 800.00 and would put the Electrolux to SHAME. So please stay away from this product. You will be glad you did.

My husband and I are very disappointed with our Electrolux French Door Refrigerator! We purchased one in 2009 and paid $4,300. I thought with that price, it should last at least 10 years. Well, after a year and a half, the ice maker broke. Good thing we purchased the extended service warranty for 5 years. Repair man came and replaced the ice maker. Couple months later, it broke again. Called again. Broke again, and again. So finally in 2012, Electrolux gave us a new refrigerator (same model) for a replacement. It worked until late 2015 when the ice maker started acting up again. Water started leaking behind the ice maker, on the back wall of the fridge. And after a while, the water freezes up. I knew my warranty is over so I thought Id live with it. I always had a towel where it leaks so it wont get all over the fridge. Its terrible and embarrassing. Everyone would ask me why I have a frozen towel in the fridge and I would always reply DO NOT BUY ELECTROLUX. About 2 weeks ago, a piece of hard plastic and styrofoam came out of the ice maker while I was dispensing ice. Like, what the heck is it and where did it come from?? Then last Friday, the fridge totally died! I called every technician in town but unfortunately, nobody couldnt make it until today, Monday (weve had no fridge for 4 days!) Diagnosis: the control board is burnt out and it melted! Cost of repair: $522! This expensive fridge is a piece of junk! I am pissed and Im trying to get Electrolux pay for at least the parts. Lets see what happens next. But I will never buy Electrolux again.
