I got a new house, and I and my wife went appliance shopping. We got sold on Frigidaire Professional series appliances (refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher). I gotta say ever since I had them, I have always had issues with them. You would think you spend over $3,000 on appliances and they would last over 4-5 years. First, the refrigerator started acting up, then 2 heating coils broke on the flat-top oven. The microwave shorted out, and my dishwasher control board caught fire and almost burned my house down (Thank God, I was up and smelled it.). I contacted Frigidaire, and they took no responsibility at all. They told me it would be a few weeks and I would get some info in the mail. Needless to say, I never received it; and a second call to Frigidaire has the same outcome. Being in the customer service field, I say Shame on Frigidaire. I share my horror story with every customer I can. Theres no accountability, respect, integrity, or servanthood on Frigidaires part. With the customer service I have received, I will never purchase another Frigidaire/Electrolux product. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I will not be fooled again by Frigidaire products. They received my payment once but lost a potential lifetime customer. When I am asked by others on what appliances they should purchase and which company will stand by their products, Frigidaire/Electrolux will be the one I tell them to stay away from. Not only will the appliances malfunction prematurely, but they are a safety hazard in your home. At this point, I have no Frigidaire/Electrolux products in my home (Craigslist free ad with warnings). My wife and I both decided they are not worth keeping for family safety reasons.

We bought all new appliances 4 years ago and have had to have the dishwasher repaired twice in under 3 years. The console assembly had to be replaced both time costing approximately $500. Now the microwave has stopped working. It smells like something has burned out as there is an electrical smell. Who knows if it can be repaired or not. Now Im waiting for something to go wrong with the stove and fridge. I would caution everyone to steer away from Frigidaire products as they should last longer than a couple of years.

After 9 months of frustration and three failed attempts to repair our fridge, Frigidaire replaced our unit with an identical unit. I had to request a supervisor multiple times, but the supervisor was understanding. Immediately when we plugged in the replacement we noticed a difference in the operation making even clearer that our initial unit was a lemon. I also complained on Electrolux and Frigidaires Facebook pages and they sent a $100 gift card to help cover food spoilage. Lowes protection plan also covered $130 for food loss. Since Frigidaire did give us a warranty replacement I updated my rating to 3 stars from 1, but since the process and experience were not what I expected from spending hard earned money we will not be buying another Frigidaire or Electrolux product.

I will never purchase another Frigidaire product for the following reasons: 1). After two years, the interior light switches failed, causing the lights to remain on after the doors were closed, resulting in the bulbs burning the top of refrigerator compartment. Repairman couldn’t fix them, due to the fact that there are no cool bulbs to replace with. I still have no lights in fridge. 2). The auto ice maker has no overfill shut-off, until you discover that when door is opened, the ice falls underneath the freezer, and the door won’t close until you remove spilled cubes under the freezer; accessing the spilled cubes is a nightmare, for which I now have a special homemade device for this job. 3). Now that fridge is “old” (2012 purchase), water is leaking to bottom of freezer compartment, the freezer jams if it’s not removed. Every 5-6 days, I must empty the bottom drawer of freezer, get down on hands and knees, chip away 1/2 inch of ice from freezer floor, then re-pack bottom drawer!4). Upon calling Frigidaire about the last issue, representative advised me to “purchase a new one, it’s old”, which I definitely will, however, not from this company or any of its affiliates!

Bought Frigidaire microwave 6 months ago. Quit working and after 4 service
Bought Frigidaire microwave 6 months ago. Quit working and after 4 service calls, runaround from Frigidaire customer service, many lost hours of frustration (too many to count) Im at my wits end. Last service guy told me Frigidaire will NEVER replace an appliance. Said theyll just keep trying solutions, ordering more parts, etc. After 2 months Im done! I bought the microwave from Wayfair so as a last resort called them. After a couple of minutes on the phone they gave me a FULL REFUND without having to return it! Really? I also found this hoping it will help somebody:Here’s what worked: 1) Be nice. Every person I spoke with at Electrolux tried to help. 2) Take notes. Log every problem, every conversation with support staff including who you spoke with and their company ID, if they have one. 3) Know what you want to accomplish. The company would have been happy to continue repairing the fridge until it was out of warranty. I made it clear that the warranty would not expire until I had one year of trouble-free operation. 4) Put a limit on what you will accept from the company. When I got to my limit (and you must be reasonable about your limit) I required the company take action.5) Talk to a person who can say yes. When the service person says “no”, ask to speak with a supervisor. The language that finally worked for me with a third level supervisor was: “Can you authorize this (replacement or refund) or should I speak with your legal department?” 6). Be prepared to follow through. I did not ASK for a replacement or refund, I told Electrolux that I would accept nothing less, I filed a complaint with my state’s Department of Consumer Affairs and I let them know I was willing to file suit to replace a defective design. At that exact point, after receiving their copy of my filing, Electrolux refunded the full purchase price of the refrigerator and refused to pick up the old one. Never, never buy Frigidaire again!!!

I would prefer no stars but unfortunately I was not given that option! I will never again purchase anything made by Frigidaire or their partners. I bought a stop top from them when we built our house 12 years ago. After 7 or 8 years, one of the switches broke. There was no problem with this. But when we called to get the replacement part ($123 plus S&H), what they sent us was not the original part. It had been replaced by a very poor quality universal part. I called to tell them that this part would not last and that I was sure it would break again. Their customer service department gave us no options! Well, a couple of years later, the part did indeed break again. We called CS again and was told that they would be glad to sell us another switch and that a repair technician would have to come and replace it. We would have to pay for that charge as well. After much hassle on the phone, they finally agreed to have him come out at no charge to us, because they thought we were not placing the switch in correctly and that was surely the reason it broke! Well, once again, the switch has broken. Our only recourse is to buy a 3rd switch for another $123 plus S&H. I have several issues with Frigidaire in regards to this issue! First, only one person that I spoke to today even tried to be helpful. I was transferred to multiple people and all of them seemed to be confused as to what they were supposed to be doing. They obviously do not understand what customer service really is. They kept asking me what I wanted from them. I told them the problem again and again and asked for a permanent solution to a very expensive problem! After replacing this switch 3 or 4 times, I could buy a new stop top! Not one person offered to send a new part out for free because of this being an on-going problem! Now, that would have gotten a raving fans review! I understand that they dont want to sell me replacement parts. They want to sell me a new stove top! But that is not what I expect from a company that advertises their products as top of the line and high in performance etc. Secondly, it is a crying shame for them to charge $123 for a small switch that probably cost them $5 or $10 to make! That is price gouging if I have ever heard of it. And the last time I checked, price gouging is illegal! I am so disappointed in this company and it is very unfortunate, because overall, I love the stovetop. When it has to be replaced however, it will definitely not be replaced with another Frigidaire product! I am curious to know if other people have had problems with this replacement switch (part no. 318078200)! This is the first time I have ever rated an experience with such negativity, but this has been the most frustrating situation! By the way, I found the switch on www.knobshopper.com for $29. Now what does that tell you?

Frigidaire apparently is one the few manufacturers that wants to deal directly with purchasers of their products. You wouldnt think so today after their service representative wouldnt let me speak to his manager and hung up on me. I bought a refrigerator one month ago from a store in Vaughan. It arrived defective from Frigidaire. They scratched my hardwood, my brand new white rug had black marks on and my walls were damaged. Fixable, but annoying nonetheless. The same day the fridge was delivered, I sent a video to the delivery department, who sent it to Frigidaire, showing the problems/defects. Someone was supposed to get back to us within a few days. A few weeks later, there was still no call from anyone, no follow up. After a total of six calls, waiting 20+ minutes each time for someone to pick up, getting constantly passed off and their CSRs passing the buck back onto us to follow up with them once again if we dont hear back, we finally got a technician out to look at the refrigerator, almost one month later. Repair guy stayed for less than 5 minutes and told us the unit was non-repairable. I called Frigidaire again, waited for another 20+ minutes, and spoke to Rodney, who put me on a long hold. He kept switching off his mic while I was trying to explain what happened. He clearly wasnt interested in helping at all so I asked to speak to a manager instead. He said no. A few times he refused. I asked why and he said because. Then he pretended he couldnt hear me asking and hung up on me. This experience really left a terrible taste in my mouth. People, if you need to buy appliances, rethink choosing Frigidaire. Do your research and try to choose a manufacturer that wont treat you like total garbage after you spend thousands on their product.

We bought several Frigidaire appliances, including a stove and refrigerator
We bought several Frigidaire appliances, including a stove and refrigerator. We purchased the extended warranty on all of the appliances. We have had nothing but trouble with the stove and refrigerator. Both these appliances have been serviced at least 3 times and yet the problems persist. Because the warranty has expired, they will not service them any more, yet the same issues remain. The oven takes forever to heat up, even on quick preheat, and signals that it has reached the pre-set heat level, 200 degrees before reaching it. The fridge leaks water from the ice maker which then freezes on the shelf just above the freezer compartment. We are extremely frustrated and feel the appliances should have been repaired properly in the first place and should be repaired even though the warranty has expired. There is obviously a factory defect in both the stove and fridge. These problems existed from day one. If we could give less than one star, we would, and I would certainly not recommend Frigidaire appliances to any of my friends or relatives.

I bought three brand new appliances, Gas Oven, Side-by-Side Fridge and Dishwasher at the same time. Oven keeps breaking down and all I get from them is asking me to buy an extended warranty. The OVEN is obviously defective and I am sure the president of the company wouldnt feel good knowing that customers are being handled so shabbily or then again, maybe this is coming from the higher ups! However numerous attempts to customer service to get them to repair the oven at their expense is only met with high sales pitch for extended warranty.

People are on this site are here for two reasons: to make a complaints or to review a product. To those who are reviewing, this is for you. I purchased 4 Frigidaire appliances from Pacific Sales in Irvine CA in October of 2011. Within 8 months, I had 7 service calls for dishwasher leaking twice, Magnatron replacement twice and door repair on microwave, and refrigerator drawer breaking and replacement of ice maker. 2 1/2 years later my once quiet dishwasher competes with my refrigerator, my microwave is making funny noises so much that we have a replacement standing by in the garage, the stainless steel range is peeling and the refrigerator back is sopping wet with condensation, not to mention that it runs LOUDLY 24 hours a day. This was $4700 worth of appliances! Now I guess we should have purchased the extended warranties, however I felt that my last (cheap) appliances lasted (hot point range and dishwasher 16 years & Kenmore refrigerator 22 years) so it wasnt necessary. Yesterday, I spoke to Frigidaire customer service? because the repairman advised me to do so. What I received was a telemarketing service doing a hard sell for an extended warranty service for $269. Really? Like receiving numerous Last Chance Extended Warranty service notifications in the mail for the last 2 1/2 years wasnt enough. The representatives could not explain to me why their appliances can only be expected to last for one year. So I am now (after time wasted with repairmen & Frigidaire sales people) looking for a new refrigerator, taking that stand by Frigidaire microwave back to Home Depot, reviewing dishwashers online and peeling my range. My advise is DO NO BUY FRIGIDAIRE APPLIANCES!

I purchased a Frigidaire washer (FAFS4272LW) and dryer on October 1, 2011. Since purchasing these items I have had a major service on the machine at 15 months when the cement block disintegrated causing the machine to stop spinning. Repair cost me $600.00 - NO WARRANTY. Frigidaire/Electrolux did not want to help me stating I did not get extended warranty for this item. Who would think this front load washer of 15 months would have such an issue? I finally got them to replace the cement block but I was to pay for service. 600.00 later the machine is fixed and I am left cleaning the mess the service man did not clean. Fast forward to August 15, 2015. The washer is not yet 4 years old and again the cement block has cracked and I am left without a machine - since this is not covered as I refused to give Frigidaire another penny and purchase an extended warranty. By the way the customer service person told me this part would not be covered pre-existing problem. I just took the machine and junked it. I did go out and purchase a Samsung Top Load AquaJet machine with a five year warranty - anything happens to my machine they will repair it at no cost or replace it. Customer service thanks to PC Richards at its best unlike Electrolux. I will never purchase another item that has the name is GE/Frigidaire/Electrolux again.

I purchased this refrigerator in April of 2010, now 4 years later it has stopped working. Earlier this year I was concerned about temperature fluctuations but they always went back to normal in a few hours. I have dropped a can of soda in the refrigerator and it cracked the inside. The drawers have been very difficult to maneuver resulting in some breakage there also. Seems like very inferior materials used. The only advice I received was to place some tape over the crack. I have seen this recommendation in other comments regarding these refrigerators. Very unhappy overall with this product, cracking, breaking, temperature fluctuations and now a breakdown (BTW this happened the week before Christmas for which I was going to cook). I was unable to book a repair service during the holidays. I will call on Monday January 5th. Thank You for your time.

My $2,400 fridge stopped cooling after only 5 months. I had to call a 3rd party warranty service just to get ahold of Fridigaire! They were closed 2 days after Christmas and wouldnt answer the phones. After the 3rd day I was on hold for 5-10 minutes and would be hung up on due to high volume of calls. After hours of waiting I finally got through. They did send a local technician but he is at the mercy of Frigidaire sending parts. It is the control board apparently. I had to call and was on hold for 45 minutes just to get an answer on time frame. They said 3-5 business days then who knows when the installer can get to it.I tried to file a complaint or speak to a manager and the only option was a complaint that took the man 10 minutes but said there is nothing they can do now. Going on 12 days without a working fridge now. No apology from FA, and they will not answer Twitter or FB messages. They do not have an email or chat either. My advice is to call service lines before buying thousands in appliances and see how their CS is before buying. I would not have bought from FA if I had known their products are as terrible as their service.

On February of 2019 I bought a refrigerator from Sears. 9 months later it went bad. Less than a year in with barely to no use since I am mostly away for work. I had to wait 8 weeks to get a credit to purchase another which I surely saved myself the grievance and did not. Instead I have purchased a freezer which I will sale before it goes bad. I should have listen to my neighbor who said she couldnt trust this brand anymore. To use the factory warranty prepare for a huge disappointment and tons of hot potato phone calls. I purchased a Frigidaire Gallery gas Range from Sears. In 4 months the touch pad stopped working. First one number didnt respond. So, we stopped using the 1 digit. Soon another then another stopped working. The Sears warranty was invalid. So I replaced the $120 touch pad myself. While taking out the old part I noticed how poorly the thing was put together. All the screws were over-torqued cracking the plastic parts in many places. I replaced the touch pad and it worked fine. Then 2 more months went by and the electronic brain shorted out in a thunderstorm. Again, Sears would not do anything about it so I replaced the part myself. Now the new Sears replacement touch pad is starting to not work again! We now have to cook without the #3. So 350 degrees is 400 degrees or 299. It is so frustrating. We bought a whole suite of appliances. Frigidaire dishwasher was so bad that we had Sears come and get it the day after it was installed and they replaced it with a Kenmore when I complained repeatedly. The refrigerator works, but is noisy. I will never shop at Sears again and I recommend that you buy nothing there. They do not back up what they sell!

I purchased this refrigerator in September 2016. The plastic lining, the doors have all cracked due to the cold temperatures. The plastic started cracking within a year of purchase. I previously had a GE for 15 years and never had any problems. This new fridge has plastic pieces hanging off of them and is visibly horrible. I purchased the warranty and they say it is cosmetic so they will not cover. I have called Frigidaire and they want me to purchase new doors. When I asked to escalate they provided me a P.O Box to write a letter in hopes that I would not bother.I cannot believe that I spent so much money on a horrible product that is cheaply made. We have 4 adults living in our home and expect our fridge to last more than a year. I have a claim currently for my ice maker because it jams, stops working and then drips all along the front side of my fridge. Lets see how that goes. I am writing a letter and I will provide an update if they even respond. DO NOT BUY FRIGIDAIRE! They make cheap faulty products and their warranty and service sucks.

Purchased Frigidaire all BLACK refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave. Touching the appliances causes scratches with just finger touches or trying to remove any minimum food smears leaves marks that cannot be removed. Tried using soap and water then rinsing and lightly drying with ONLY clean microfiber. This was the suggestion by Frigidaires rep. Why does a company make something used daily that will not withstand any kind of expected use, i.e. opening the doors, pressing the temperature pads, wiping off food, etc? Do not buy black. You will waste your money, be unhappy, with no solution... like us.

18 months ago we purchased a Kenmore Laundry center, model 970L97422F0, that was made Frigidaire. The washer DOES NOT fill with enough water to do the cleaning. More often than not there are dry spots. We had the repairman out twice and his only solution for the problem was to add a pail of water before starting the machine, so to trick it to think that the weight was more. Also it is the nosiest washer we have ever owned!! It sounds like a cement mixer when it is running. Phone calls to Sears and Frigidaire go unanswered. The last email I sent to them, over two weeks ago, only received an automatic response saying someone would be back to me within 24 hours - you guessed it, they didnt reply.

I dont expect to have it fixed for free since it is 4 years old and not 3, however I thought Frigidaire was a reputable company who would like to stand by their products. What the hell happened to this company? Their customer service sucks. I wish Id read YELP before buying a Frigidaire Refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher. 3 months after buying my new appliances the fridge stopped working properly. It would fluctuate between being too cold, and not cold enough. First repairman came out and said it could be a number of things, so he ordered them to be delivered to my house and scheduled an appointment. I waited all day with no contact or repairman showing up.I called in. First I called the serviceman, no answer. Next called Electrolux 844 number and waited on hold for 40 minutes listening to someone telling me the call would be answered by the next, blah, blah, blah. Then I hung up and called back... 20 minutes later they still didn’t answer so I called Frigidaire. A woman answered and told me one part was backordered, and they had attempted to call me Nov. 30th. Well that was a lie...no one called. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was put on hold for another 20 minutes. At that time I hung up and called back. The next agent said that no one had tried to call. So, now I find out that they knew the part wasn’t available but didn’t attempt to call me... The first woman had lied trying to make the fact that no one showed (when I took the day off) my fault. I insisted on speaking to a supervisor who said they are now attempting to find the part from another supplier and will call me to schedule a time once they locate it. Ill patiently sit here holding my breath. Frigidaire is an inexpensive brand... Now I know why. Spend a little more and get a better product with a company that has better service.

I purchased a Frigidaire 27.86 cu ft FD REF LGH from Lowes on 10.5.14 and had it delivered to my new home on 1.28.15. Less than a year later the ice maker started dripping water on the wood floor and stopped making ice. I contacted Frigidaire who said that since it was over a year old, it was not under warranty and it would cost over $300 to repair through one of their recommended repair companies. The female customer service rep asked me if I would like to purchase an extended warranty for $500.After several back and forth calls to customer service about the situation I ended up paying $300 for a five-year extended warranty. The repair company came out, said he needed to order the part, and weeks later came out to repair the ice maker which is now doing the same thing again. The repairman said he would probably see me every year because it is a problem with these models having the ice maker in the refrigerator door instead of the freezer door. When I called Frigidaire this morning, the customer no service person was very rude and would not even allow me to speak. She kept talking over me, giving me the same repair company in my area and a warranty number for the service. When I asked her if there was any possible option to replace the refrigerator with another model, she said, No. I responded with, So, am I stuck with this high-end expensive but faulty design until I purchase another brand? She said, Yes, thats it! I do not recommend anyone to purchase any Frigidaire products. They have a serious customer service and customer relations issue, and they do not back their products. I am now still waiting for the Frigidaire authorized warranty repair service to call me back from over two hours ago. Last time I had to take off two days work for this repair. Not acceptable product.

I have had to call them out to adjust the doors. On the second trip I also pointed out the crisper drawers. The wheels are cracking and falling off. I was informed that those parts are not covered under my extended warranty. This was a very cheaply made refrigerator but an expensive one. It is so shoddily made. I only purchased this brand because the rest of the appliances were in the kitchen when we bought this house last year. Never again will I purchase one of their poorly manufactured refrigerator. If I want to fix it I would have to pay 187.00 I was told by the repair man. Its just over a year and half old. There are 2 people in the house over 60 so it was not abused. I have never in my 40 years have had a fridge repair. One fridge lasted over 20 years. Because it was a Whirlpool. Model Number FFHB2750TD Serial Number 4A91210068. Now I will go and post other reviews as well as file a BBB report.

My wife and I recently purchased a new home, and the deal included relatively new kitchen appliances. Unfortunately, our Frigidaire refrigerator was of such bad quality, and our experience with the company was so poor, we felt obligated to document what weve encountered in hopes of informing others to avoid the brand. Our refrigerator was in reasonable shape upon moving into the house. Within 1 year of normal use by a family of 4, the plastic inside and outside the unit started showing fractures. Finally, random pieces of plastic, and then whole sections of shelves began breaking off.We called Frigidaire, who informed us the unit had been purchased by the original owner in 2010, so none of what we experienced was under warranty -- We were informed that the replacement price for a SINGLE SHELF was $60! Amazingly, they refused to cover the near-total deterioration of most of the plastic shelving in the unit under any sort of manufacturing defect agreement. Instead, wed be required to pay hundreds of dollars to replace the plastic shelves & moldings out of our own pocket. Frigidaire: The right call wouldve been to stand by your products by offering an apology and replacement shelves, if not for free, then at a reasonable price. Youve left a very bad taste in our mouths, and have certainly lost our trust and business.

I bought a Frigidaire fridge last January. It had a warped freezer door. After waiting for months with no part availability, I was extended a buyback letter. I filled it out and sent it back before the expiration date. I’ve been waiting for the refund since September and have never received it even though it is only supposed to take a few weeks to complete. I’ve made numerous phone calls, but just keep getting the runaround. In a few weeks, it will be a year that I’ve been dealing with this. It’s ridiculous and I cannot find anyone that will answer an email or help me resolve this. I had to pay more money out of pocket to have a working fridge.

Do not buy Frigidaire washing machine! I bought one just 6 months ago. I have had the repairman out here last month. Now, this month, he needs to come again! I cant return it to Lowe’s because they dont take exchanges, returns, or refund on major appliances! So I think I will also never buy another major appliance from Lowe’s and definitely not another Frigidaire product of any kind. The shocks went immediately! Now, once again, they need replacing! Sadly, I didnt get the extended warranty. I figured my last washer lasted 12 years and I never had a warranty on any of my other appliances, so I didnt need one this time. That was a big mistake because, unfortunately, Frigidaire doesnt stand well behind their appliances, and they dont stay working for long either! The customer service number that Lowe’s gives needs help too. They cant get scheduling correct, and their computers are down a lot. So, they say it needs to break 3 times on the same item to maybe get a replacement? For real? It is only 6 months old and I am on the second problem! Shame on Frigidaire and Lowe’s! Guess we better start shopping Home Depot. No more Lowe’s either!

I bought my washer and dryer 2 years ago. I have always been a fan of Frigidaire. As matter of fact I have a stove and fridge that are Frigidaire are working fine. However our dryer heating element burned and not working no more. Called Frigidaire. They could not help us. Asks us to call a technician. Now the service to repair will be costing us close to 400$. Its a total joke. Now we bought these 2 years ago close to 2500$ and now I have to put 400$ for repair. I have a newborn of 3 weeks and we have lots of laundry to do and stuck debating about what to do. Its sad but Frigidaire lost a loyal client. I was a big believer but no longer. Never ever that I am purchasing Frigidaire anymore and my friends and family will hear from this. Poor customer service and products.

We purchased a new home in 2008 and had new Frigidaire appliances as part of that purchase (dishwasher, stove/range, and microwave). About 2-3 months ago, we began to smell an electrical or plastic burning smell every so often but couldnt place the smell after going around the house. Last weekend I noticed a puddle of water on the floor and after some investigation found that our dishwasher was leaking. Originally I just thought it was from a leaking hose or something. Upon further investigation, we found the heating element burned through the bottom of the plastic tub of the dishwasher (we also discovered our floor and cabinets near the dishwasher are damaged as well and need to be replaced).I checked for recall information and did not find it. I contacted one phone number and touched base with the local Frigidaire repair company. They said Frigidaire would definitely want to know. So, I contacted Frigidaire to let them know of the problem and report it. I wanted to be sure they had all the information about what happened to us to be sure it wouldnt happen to someone else. When I called them, they asked for the model and serial number, and asked if I had an extended warranty, in which I didnt. I told the representative that I wanted to report the heating element burning through the bottom of my dishwasher plastic tub and that it didnt seem like a normal wear and tear kind of issue. And I said that I thought they would want to know the details about it to make sure it didnt happen somewhere out, or potentially help me with my situation. I was put on hold for them to talk to a supervisor. I was told that they made a note of my issue (literally no details given yet). And since I was outside of the 12 month warranty, there was nothing they could do to help me.I told her again I thought they should know about it and the details of what happened. She said her supervisor said that it usually happens when something heavy is resting on the heating element. I was a little taken aback that the initial was that basically we were resting something heavy on the element to cause it to happen. I said, So your reasoning is only that I put something too heavy in the dishwasher. She told me she wasnt accusing me of that. I asked her what else it could be. I said that I wasnt trying too difficult, but I had hoped Frigidaire as a company would be interested in knowing what happened with their product to potentially protect other consumers from the situation I was in. The response was “Is there anything else I can do for you?” I was surprised and expressed to her that I was thoroughly disappointed in Frigidaire. Their lack of interest in knowing the details of what happened to me and making accusations showed they had no genuine concern for me as a consumer or other consumers who may be facing the same things. She again said she wasnt accusing me of anything, but I asked her to explain what else it could be. She only said that heating elements burning through the tub are caused by heavy items resting on the element.I believe there is a design flaw with this unit (model # FDB1050REC2) and that the heating element should be better supported in the tub. This dishwasher is only 3 years old. The situation is not from wear and tear of other items or breaking of something. It is a flaw that unfortunately Frigidaire is not interested in investigating or even acknowledging as a potential issue.

Weve had this oven for four months now. It takes 30-40 minutes to preheat (to 350 or 400 degrees). The stench of resin from assembly, that the instructions promised would go away after a couple of uses, has still not gone away after 30+ uses. The racks for the oven are too narrow (or the walls of the oven are warped/poorly made). If you set a medium size casserole dish on the racks (with food in it)... the rack can fall out of its supports. I keep thinking to myself; how long have manufacturers been making ovens? Is it really that hard to provide an appliance this simple without design, manufacturing, and quality control flaws?

I hardly ever write reviews, particularly if I am dissatisfied with a product or service. Ive always figured a mental note to steer clear of further patronizing a particular establishment or buying a product were enough for my personal satisfaction. However, my experience with purchasing a Frigidaire stove from Colders (333 S 108th St, Milwaukee, WI 53214) warrants a stern warning to other consumers TO BEWARE... I STRONGLY DISCOURAGE ANY CONSUMER anticipating doing business with COLDERS or purchasing a FRIGIDAIRE appliance.First off, I bought a Frigidaire stove and refrigerator from Colders in October 2016. Now, for the second time since October, the stove is malfunctioning, for the exact same reason as the first time... Which happened just a few weeks after the stove was purchased. As if the malfunctioning stove isnt enough of an inconvenience, we were informed by the 3rd party repair technicians contracted by Colders/Frigidaire to service their appliances, that the earliest someone could come out to repair the stove was Friday. The stove went out on Sunday. Because the hours of operation for the repair tech also sucks, the earliest we could report the malfunction was Monday. As of today (Wednesday), the repair date has since been pushed back to next Monday because the techs dont have the repair part in inventory. My mother is a senior citizen, and for the second time since October, is without a stove for in excess of a week. The first time the stove went out (did I mention for the same reason), my mother was without a stove FOR TWO WEEKS!!! On both occasions, my mother and I contacted Colders, who referred us to the repair techs. As aforementioned, the response time absolutely sucked! The initial appointment IS ONLY TO CONFIRM THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM. The repair tech pre-orders the replacement part (without seeing the appliance), based on the error code and hopes that the part is what is needed to rectify the problem. In our case, it was not! So, for the initial malfunction, the tech had to schedule a second appointment to complete the repair. I am anticipating this repair will work in much the same way. I am thoroughly disappointed in both the product and service at this point. We have requested that the stove be replaced, however we were informed that Frigidaire has to approve the replacement once the 3rd-party repair tech is on site. I am not optimistic.

I purchased the Frigidaire stand up freezer/fridge combo when I built my house. The matching set cost me $5,000 for it. Within the first year of purchase the fridge went out and Frigidaire sent out a technician to repair. Unit should have been replaced while under warranty but they did not want to hear it. Skip forward to some time later, I paid for the extended warranty for the fridge and the icebox but was refunded my money just on the fridge because it was broken under warranty and they would not cover up as I was told but unfortunately for me the rep in customer service didnt seem to put that in the computer and only put refunded due to being broken when it wasnt. Now my unit is out and I questioned them about it. They send me with the runaround. All my appliances in my home are Frigidaire. I will be replacing everything in my house to get the name Frigidaire out of it. I am out now $500 dollars as I paid for a repair service to come look at it and replace items that were replaced before because they broke the first time and Frigidaire doesnt seem to care. Well they will care. I can promise this!!! Sincerely, a pissed off customer.

The $900 refrigerator started giving us problems about 2 months after purchasing (made strange clicking and buzzing sounds and would stop cooling and had to be unplugged and then re-plugged into the outlet a couple of times to get it to start working). Fast forward to the present (5 months after purchasing) and the refrigerator and freezer have stopped working permanently (despite unplugging and re-plugging as originally suggested by Frigidaire customer service). After waiting nearly an hour to speak to a person, I managed to get Frigidaire to arrange for a repairman who told us the compressor was shot and the entire unit would have to be replaced. Learned that Frigidaire and its service partners DO NOT COMMUNICATE after another nearly one hour wait on Frigidaires customer service number (when I finally got a person, I waited another 20 minutes as the rep called the repair service to confirm what Id been told). While the repairman had told me the refrigerator would be replaced, Frigidaire says they will first have to check if parts are available (a compressor and a heater). I am now waiting for Frigidaire Corporate to reach out to me with details on how they plan to honor their standard 12-month manufacturers warranty (I should hear back within 72 hours according to what I was told by the service rep). Weve now been without a refrigerator for over one week without any idea of how long it will take to get this situation resolved. According to other reviews Ive read, it may well take over a month!

I purchased the Frigidaire Gallery Series: Side by Side Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Gas/Convection Stove and Microwave. Each have problems that continue to this day: *Refridgerator - Control panel LEDs faded so it was unreadable, tech replaced the panel but the fridge had a Quick Ice feature when new but the tech replaced it without the quick ice feature.*Dishwasher- failed to operate at all. Tech replaced the control strip with washer selections but later found that this was not the problem. It needed the controller inside the door panel which he didnt have and had to order one. Waited two weeks for it to be replaced. Takes multiple attempts to get the washer turned on for cleaning. # Stove initial delivery came damaged. Replaced but after awhile gas smells emanate while using the oven, seems to be a chronic issue with this appliance. *Microwave - sounds tinny and cooks unevenlyI signed up with Frigidaire website and noted all of the above. Attempted to see if there was a response to my entry and found none. There was never any contact from them. Prior to that I posted my dissatisfaction on Facebook and received a message from a person that might have been a customer rep. When I attempted to contact this person I could not find the message again on Facebook. The issues all the appliances remain the same today. The oven is rarely used due to the gas smells/leaks. I understand that it might be an issue with a baffle??? I am totally dissatisfied with these appliances and even more so with Frigidaire/Electrolux lack of ownership of the brand and non-responsiveness from them as a company.

We bought this Frigidaire model a few years ago when our old one stopped working. I like Frigidaire products, they are normally well-made and reliable and last for years. The fridge itself is performing well, I wish it didnt have glass shelves, and was a bit larger, but it was all we could afford on our budget. Frigidaire refrigerator delivered Feb 2017. Electrolux is parent company. Unit carried 1-year warranty. Nov 2017 I discovered crack in inner lining (I suspect it was delivered with crack) and initiated telephone conversation with Electrolux who stated unit would be replaced under warranty but had to satisfy protocol. SEVERAL techs over several visits came to house. Electrolux found fault with each one --- one took over a month to invoice Electrolux & send report. One told Electrolux they would call me to set appointment & never did --- one neglected to be on phone with Electrolux factory tech at time of visit etc, etc. All techs that came to house confirmed, documented, & reported crack to Electrolux. Each call to Electrolux met with yet another step to accomplish until now unit is beyond warranty and Electrolux now saying I am beyond warranty and will only approve factory-approved repair which is to tape crack not replace unit.23 Feb 18 call to company that delivered refrigerator stated they would have replaced unit with new one if I was within warranty but because unit is now out of warranty there is nothing they can do even though Electrolux freely stating they have documentation that my conversations with them started well before warranty dropped. Customer Support is AWFUL. They lied to me. They dragged their feet so much that my unit is now out of warranty. Any help to have Electrolux replace this unit, as they promised from the beginning, would be appreciated. At this point - my advice: DONT BUY ONE.

I purchased a Frigidaire upright freezer in July of 2021. By the end of December, the freezer had an indicator light blinking which mean the temperature was dropping inside. I had almost $400 worth of food which was thawing and had to be thrown out. This happened New Years weekend, and I was not able to contact Frigidaire until Tuesday, January 4th, when they reopened from the holidays. They sent a technician immediately out the next day, January 5th, and he noted that 5 different components of the freezer had gone bad and needed to be replaced. He also mentioned that hed had over 20 different calls on the same freezer, which the same issues with the 5 components failing. I called back to Frigidaire on January 5, 2022, and told the representative that five components failing was not a fluke but a defect in the unit. I also noted that this model freezer was discontinued....I wonder why? The representative told me that if they were unable to order the five components within 7 to 10 business days, I could get a refund. No one contacted me and I called back on the 11th business day, which was January 20th. I spoke to both a representative and her supervisor and they told me that I would not receive a refund, but would simply have to wait until they received the backordered parts. I asked her what timeline would be reasonable, and she said she didnt know, I would just have to wait! I demanded a refund, and she refused. She said the only way I would get a refund is if the technician declared the freezer unrepairable, which, clearly they will not do. All the while, I am without a freezer, lost over $400 in food, and the 1 year warranty is ticking away. By the time the unit is repaired, I will then be out of warranty and out of luck not if, but when it breaks down again. All I was offered is $100 in food replacement. I want a refund and want this freezer declared defective.

I sure wished I wouldve known about this website before we purchased these products. We own all three appliances in the SS Frigidaire Professional Series, fridge, range, and dishwasher. Let me just say, buyer beware. Weve had them approximately 5 -7 yrs. Weve had to replace the heating element in the dishwasher. And recently, something blew after I heated the oven to bake a dish. The breaker blew and nothing on the digital readout panel or the burners or oven would work. I didnt know about the recall on the range until I accessed their website to issue a complaint. I had to have it repaired so I could use it. The cost was $500 plus. I called them and they told me to fax the repair invoice for possible reimbursement consideration. I did (9/27/11) and waited a few weeks to call back to check on the decision. They couldnt give me any info since they said they never received it, even though I had confirmation that it was received. At that time, I requested the replacement parts to repair the exact problem included in the recall. But in the meantime, they said because they didnt receive my initial fax, they gave me a new number. I refaxed the invoice again to another number on 10/25 and waited until today (11/18) to call and check again. Initially, I was told the fax wasnt received again until I insisted it had already been faxed twice and to a new number the second time. Suddenly, it was found and the decision to reimburse was denied justified because it wasnt directly included in the recall. Never mind, they should stand behind their product that blew a breaker at the time it failed. It’s clearly dangerous to have done that. I’m not happy with their decision. I will do better research when purchasing appliances in the future. There is no such thing as a reliable appliance with Frigidaire and they dont stand behind their product.

My issue isnt as dramatic as some Ive read, but nonetheless I am furious. I have a 5-year-old Frigidaire refrigerator and last night, I was going to clean under the crisper drawers. When I started taking it apart, I noticed the plastic frame was badly cracked. I called Frigidaire because that piece has no weight on it other than bread and other lightweight items, and should never break let alone in 5 years. They refused to do anything about it, and the discounted price they offered me was considerably more than online resellers of this part. I told them that was a ridiculous price since they are the manufacturer. Even worse, customer service said that they werent willing to replace it at no charge. They didnt seem to care. I will never buy another Frigidaire product if this is what they call customer service.

We purchased our stove on 7/29/21 and it was delivered and installed by 8/12/21. Used twice and the control panel shut off when I was using the air fryer! So far two service calls have been made and the stove is still not fixed. First service call was on 9/13. Technician didnt have parts and they needed to be ordered. Second time he came on 10/4, replaced the parts and it still didnt work. He suggested we talk to the electrician that did the wiring. Our electrician came out today and everything was good with the electric to the stove. SOOOO, I had to call Frigidaire again to schedule another service call. Its absolutely impossible to get through to customer service and when I did, I asked to speak with a manager and she hung up on me! So I called back and waited on hold again only to be told that the stove will not be replaced until deemed unrepairable! Again, I asked to speak with management and told, I would get a call back in 1-2 days. My next appointment to have the technician come to the house is 10/14!!! Its 10/5/21 and I still have no resolution for my $1800 oven! We basically got a lemon and Frigidaire isnt willing to step up and honor their commitment to good service.

My washing machine has not worked since early Nov. 2016. Frigidaire has sent two different repair companies. The first one gave up as they were not able to fix it, the second repair company has not been able to figure out whats wrong with it. They tried changing the computer first which did not fix the machine. 2nd they tried changing something with the door which also did not fix the machine. It has been a pattern of trying different things without success. The current repair company has told us that the machine is not repairable and has also told the Frigidaire, but Frigidaire technicians keep insisting on trying different things.Throughout all this, We have had a total of 5 visits from the repair companies. I had to miss 3 days of work because I have to be home when they go to the home. The second company was able to work on Saturdays, but Frigidaires technicians are not available on weekend so the repair person cant talk on the phone with them while they look at the machine. I have complained about their process without any success since we still dont have a machine that works. I have spoken with 3 supervisors and one manager and keep getting the same message that their technicians still want to try something else. So they shipped some cables supposedly next day delivery on the week of 12/13 so we set up an appointment on 12/20 for the repair company to show up. The cables never made it to the home so I canceled the appointment with the repair company.I spoke with Frigidaire and now the cables were going to be deliver on 12/31 so I set another appointment with the repair company on 1/3. The cables never arrived on 12/31 so I canceled another appointment. Now Frigidaire tells me that the cables will not be deliver until 1/6/17. By now we are on two months in with a machine that is supposed be new and does not worked. I was also told by one Frigidaires support technicians that their notes showed repairs done in 1/16/16 for a similar issue with the door, before I actually moved to the new condo, purchased the condo on 2/16/16 with all new appliances. Unfortunately they are all from Frigidaire and given my current experience with this company I will never purchase and will tell friends to not purchase from this company. This also means that when the cables actually get delivered I will have to miss a 4th day of work so that the repair person can see the machine. It has been a nightmare dealing with Frigidaire as they are very insensitive to their customers needs, they seem to not care for their customers as we are now two months in without a working machine. Thank you.

We purchased Frigidaire microwave/oven combination and had it installed in February 2014. After 2 weeks, the microwave door stopped working properly and shortly thereafter, the microwave stopped working. After two visits by service personnel spaced out over several weeks, and multiple replacement parts, the microwave is now working (as of May 14). Frigidaire unwilling to replace what is obviously a defective unit.

We purchased our Frigidaire convection oven at Home Depot about 3 years ago. It has worked great till tonight. We were baking potatoes for dinner (in what we thought was a 400 degree oven) when, after about 30 minutes, the oven started beeping non stop and 'F10' was flashing on the display. The stove top was very hot to touch and a strong electrical smell was filling our house. The oven window was dark brown. I opened the oven door, thinking there was an oven fire and the heat that came from the oven was overwhelming! I was unable to turn off the oven, so my husband finally tripped the breaker. After reading all the other reviews, we will be keeping the breaker off and getting a new oven tomorrow!!

In October 2010, I purchased several Frigidaire Kitchen Appliances. The refrigerator makes a noise from time to time like a popping sound and the ice maker stop working months ago. The Electric Coil Top Range has one front burner that gets so hot. I have to change the drip pans every few weeks as they turn purple, gold and brown. Now there is a 2 inch burn mark under the drip pan and a pile of soot was found from the burner burning too hot. I am afraid a fire will start soon and I try to use the other burners. I wont be buying Frigidaire products in the future.

I’ve had a “new” microwave for 3 years and during this time I’ve had to call in 4 or 5 service request since it’s not working. Since it’s outside of their warranty, they charge $90 per trip fee. If I want to avoid the trip fee, they want me to pay for an extended warranty. Either way, they want more money. This just tells me they are using a defective product & could care less about the customer experience. Horrible accommodations to a client. For the amount they charge & the number of times they’ve been out, I could have easily purchased another appliance. If it was the 1st or 2nd time, I understand. But at this point it tells me you have incompetent contractors “fixing” an item that should have been replaced & an appliance that messes up this many times in such a short amount of time tells me it’s horribly put together. Trash!

I sooo wish I could include a photo of the itty bitty piece of nasty cutting gashing scarring metal that is affixed to the lower half of the dryer door on top of my matching front - load washer. It runs across my forearm as it automatically comes at me incessantly. I wish I could say, Whaa, it scratches me and I hate it... Rather, it cuts me, gashes me and has thus far left three quite distinct marks that come and go with the sunny days...Oh, except for one; its red and is there all the time. They wasted my one whole month just to them to say they will not provide me the parts. What hurts so much was how rude and inconsiderate customer service was. Purchased a suite of Frigidaire products in May 1014 - fridge, range, microwave and dishwater. From the beginning I had problems with the fridge. The freezer frosted over and was icy. I called a repair company and was told the gasket had to be replaced (on a new fridge???) and had to be ordered. I waited a couple of weeks and after numerous calls was told the part (gasket) was on back order. What does that mean??? I was told to call Frigidaire and did so. What a runaround. They told me I would have to wait for the part which may be in Aug. 4th. Asked to speak to a supervisor who told me they could only give me a ETA on when it would be available and I would have to wait. Wait to fix a broken fridge that I only had a couple of months. I complained. I wanted it replaced and they said they DO NOT REPLACE only repair. They specified they were not refusing to fix, but I would have to wait for the part which would hopefully be in this year (exaggeration). This is deplorable conduct. I have to suffer with a broken freezer until the part becomes available. I never heard of such a ridiculous answer. I contacted my salesman and he is getting in touch with their rep. I have read so many complaints about this company that I think I will have to get rid of this fridge and take the loss. Frigidaire, you are on my you know what list.

The 24-inch gas wall ovens are not displayed in stores. So, I made my purchase online from Airport Home Appliances. The difference in the appearance of the oven online and in person was as different as night and day. The oven sits too far off the cabinet. Which did not show online. There’s no frame around the oven, so it looks unfinished. The interior of the oven sides, door and gauges were not even. The bottom drawer was uneven, flimsy, and the parts inside were bent and didnt close completely. Airport Home Appliance agreed regarding the defective/damaged oven and ordered a replacement. Unfortunately, the 2nd oven had the same issues. They did remove the oven from my home. I paid $1699.00 for this oven, not including taxes and installation. Airport Appliances have told me it was manufactured that way and can’t promise me a refund. The oven was removed from my home. So now I have no oven and missing $2000.00.

My upright freezer was delivered in May 2020. By June the frost-free freezer was forming ice near the door. Took Frigidaire 2 months to mail me a replacement gasket. Before the part arrived the door wouldnt stay shut. Had to put a ratchet strap around it to keep it closed. Gasket arrived and it doesnt fit in the door so falls off immediately. Now the freezer is constantly running trying to stay cool. The contents are melting. Frigidaire is horrible. I tried calling multiple times on Friday but their help desk literally didnt answer, had a message that said they were too busy and it hung up on me. Repeatedly. I emailed them, no response. Called again, sat on hold forever. Their customer service is awful. They wont refund or replace the freezer. They wont refund the $700 of food that is now ruined. I will never buy Frigidaire again. Through Home Depot in early Oct. 2013, I bought a Frigidaire pedestal for matching washer. I am tall and my back occasionally does not allow for easy bending, so I need the height w/ my front-loading Frigidaire washer. In placing items in the pedestal drawer, I slashed my finger on a razor sharp edge. There is no warning label on this product. I went to Home Depot; their associate phoned Frigidaire right in front of me to explain the problem. I personally spoke to them on her phone. They tried to discredit me immediately, saying I did not cut myself on the drawer edge - that I must have put (my) hand between bottom of washer and top of drawer. I later tried this, and my hand cannot fit in there. I repeatedly stated that the drawer was open, and my hands were inside, filling the drawer. Frigidaires answer was to send a local repair man, and he put a piece of black electrical tape over the edge and wrote on the receipt that this is a temporary fix. Frigidaire has copy of this. A day later, the tape was dangling - there must be some residue causing tape to not adhere. Long story short, in late Dec., after many complaints by me to both parties, Home Depot delivered to me another Frigidaire pedestal. I immediately checked, and it had the same razor sharp edge. I requested the store to take it back. The Home Depot manager, Dave, was away, but I was told by store staff they were told to check it for dents and scratches and knew nothing about any sharp edge - Dave never spoke to me or called me after that, so I now will not shop there, and had spent $1,000s each month there on home renovations - they are so big, so dont care. Worse, the manager on duty, Art, called it a little rough and acted like it was no big deal. To me, it IS a big deal. After cancer surgery, I am missing lymph nodes and was told to be very careful about any cuts, because I have greater chance for infection. I told both parties this. Frigidaire does not care about product safety or customer satisfaction, just dumping inferior products into the marketplace. I spoke to one of their associates who is diabetic, so she understands about the seriousness, but they refuse to do anything to properly make my product safe or to replace it with a SAFE product. I also told them they need a hazard warning label on the product - 2nd one arrived w/ none. I spent a LOT of money for their washer (the second one I bought, since I sold my house and my buyer wanted my older one). This means nothing to Frigidaire, because they know getting a lawyer will cost more than buying a second product from their competitors, so I wasted money and lots of time and effort with them. As a retiree on a small pension, I dont have money to waste. All I wanted was a safe pedestal, and both prefer to lose my business. Frigidaire deserves to be sued for product failure.

We purchased a new dishwasher in late 2009, along with a new kitchen. Within months of our kitchen install, the doors started to peel and crack around the dishwasher. Our first thought was that there was an issue with the finish on the cabinets. Why didn’t we think that the dishwasher was to blame but the cabinet company that replaced the cabinets? Now in our new kitchen the same problem has been happening. This apparently is a well known design flaw. I contacted customer service and they would not even let me speak to a supervisor. Apparently, they do not care about satisfaction in the least. We’re just out $600 for a poorly designed dishwasher that has ruined 2 new kitchens.

DO NOT BUY FROM FRIGIDAIRE. I bought this refrigerator last year about 4 months before the 1 year warranty expired. My refrigerator got a crack on the floor; Frigidaire send a company to taped, they drill a nasty hole next to the crack without my permission. For whatever reason they did they never got my authorization, then the tape came off a few days later after was applied. That’s when I saw the hole next to the crack, Frigidaire offer to send another company for a second opinion. The company came and told me was unrepairable. I call again and they said that they were sending other companies. They schedule me about 6 times holding my time for 5 hours every time. I called Frigidaire and spent minutes on the phone explain every representative the same issue. They all reschedule me, no one shows up. No one ever fix or replace my fridge. Even one of the companies they sent out told me that Frigidaire was one of the most awful companies to deal while you have an issue, they stated that is just a cosmetic problem and isn’t affecting the function of the refrigerator. Now I stuck here with this suite of appliances from Frigidaire with a hole, a crack and a tape sticking off my Refrigerator. If I ever knew this I WILL NEVER BUY FROM FRIGIDAIRE AND OF COURSE I WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN.

Purchased a stainless steel slide-in stove from Sears 2 years ago. It is a beautiful stove and my wife was very happy with it. She had called Frigidaire a few days after it was installed to find out what to use to clean and purchased all of the recommended cleaners. This stove was always immaculate. After about a year and a half the stainless steel control panel started peeling in a few spots making this otherwise beautiful stove look terrible. We checked our brochures and owners manuals and they all stated that it was made of stainless steel when in reality it is made of aluminum coated to look like stainless. We called Frigidaires customer service and I use that term loosely and asked them why my stainless stove is made of fake stainless and that told me it was real stainless. When I explained that mine was coated aluminum, they said they would have the technical people look into it and get back to me. They contacted me later and explained that my wife had scrubbed the outer layer of stainless steel off. What? And that for $250 they could send me a new stainless steel control panel. What? Thats right they are still trying to tell me that its stainless. Im not an attorney but this sure sounds fraudulent to me. I had good experiences in the past with Frigidaire but to misrepresent what you are selling is fraud and fortunately there are many other manufacturers to chose from.

We were deceived, as consumers, in purchasing a Frigidaire Professional (fridge) in June 2013. In less than 3 years of normal use, the appliance broke down. Many parts associated with the low-pressure header to the heat exchanger, as well as the heat exchanger, had to be replaced. The cost of the appliance was expensive and not of quality. The cost of repair was also expensive, close to $700 CAD since it was no longer covered by the ridiculously short 1-year warranty of the manufacturer. We are taking the battle using legal action against Electrolux as we could not get any decent level of service from them or their accredited repair company (South Shore of Montreal). I spent over $1800 in Sears on a small wall oven 5 months ago and what a waste of money. I used the Self Clean feature on the lowest setting for the first time, just to see what it was like. I followed the instructions and everything seemed fine. Until I went to use the broiler the next day. Nothing. Then I tried the oven. Again nothing. Neither would get hot. So I called Frigidaire and scheduled for a technician to come out. I was given a date and took the day off. He didnt show up and their customer service Reps were very rude. So I called back Frigidaire and scheduled for a different service company to come out. The Rep called me and asked what happened to the oven. After I told him, he said he knew what had happened and ordered a new thermostat. It took nearly 2 weeks to arrive. When he eventually showed up with a colleague, almost 4 weeks later, the oven didnt get fixed. The gas pipe is in the wrong position and they didnt want to touch it. So Im still waiting to get this oven fixed and Im extremely frustrated. Frigidaire is not a reliable company when it comes to the quality of their appliances or the companies they use to repair them. I bought the Professional line of Frigidaire products in February 2012. They are poorly constructed. The seal around the door shredded apart; it had to be replaced. When you push the ice button, the ice doesnt stop coming out when you take the cup away, and the ice ends up on the floor. The ice maker is very loud. When you pull out the vegetable bin on the bottom, it hits the door. The cooktop is made with poor quality stainless steel and scratches easily. I use a soft sponge or paper towel and it scratches. The center high boil burner shuts down when you try to lower the flame. The dishwasher doesnt work too well either. The dishes are always wet and sometimes not clean. The door is very flimsy. The wall oven is terrible. When the heat is at 400 degrees, smoke comes out of it. I hope it doesnt cause a fire. What I didnt know when I bought the products is that they subcontract repairs to an appliance repair place. They do not have their own servicemen. Consequences are that I am stuck with these awful products. This is garbage and shame on Frigidaire for selling this product. Dont buy it.

A few days later, I got an email saying the service visit was scheduled for August 27th (more than 30 days!). I called and asked if there would be anything shorter than 30+ days and was reassured that Frigidaire would find a new date that wasnt so far out as they agreed it was a very long wait time. I never got a call back on that and never got a new service window or scheduled time.So Aug 27th came and I called Frigidaire again to make sure this was still scheduled in the system because I never got any confirmation call in the week leading up to the appointment. I was assured this service visit was still scheduled, so my husband stayed home from work all day to wait for the technician. The service tech never showed up (I called them every hour during their 8 AM - 5 PM window and they never answered or returned my voicemails). So I called Frigidaire back and they said they would try to get another service tech scheduled. The next day, I got a call back and was told they couldnt find a service tech, so they would do a product exchange and I would get the details within 2 days.So this morning, it had been 2 days and I still hadnt heard about the exchange details, so I called Frigidaire back. They told me that they will have the ticket for review for 6-8 business days and they will let me know on September 10th if they are able to find a new service tech or if they will do the exchange AND they said that if they do the exchange, I will now be responsible to pay the delivery and installation fees. So it will be 49 days from my initial issue before I find out what the (hopefully) final resolution will be. I was told by the supervisor on this last call that she firmly believes this is a good customer service practice.

I am renting my house, and my tenant called me to tell me that my 2 year old Frigidaire stopped working? I am living in Bangkok, Thailand, working with illegal adoptions, and former retired Police Officer from New Jersey, and am not a Private Investigator. My tenant called Sears, and they came out and looked at it, and stated it has a fan problem that has expanded on something and cannot be fixed. I bought all Frigidaire appliances to go with my new kitchen, dishwasher, stove, oven, and microwave, wine cooler, which does not work anymore either. I have no other recourse but to buy a new one. Does Consumer Affairs help people like me?

We have a brand new side-by-side refrigerator, a Frigidaire LFUS2613LEO. Within three weeks, it stopped getting cold in the refrigerator section. Now all our food is spoiling as I write this. This was purchased at Lowes. When we called Lowes, they informed us that there was only a 7-day return policy and that they could not send a repairman for two more days! So here we sit with tons of spoiled food, no fridge for two days and can’t return the piece of junk nor are we compensated for all the lost food. If it breaks down within three weeks, I can only imagine how long it will be before it breaks again. It is obviously a lemon and there is nothing we can do.

When I went to turn the oven on using the control panel it pushed away from the stove as if the glue stopped working - it later sparked and almost caught fire when I tried to turn the oven off. It should not have pulled away the way that it did and now the entire unit will not work. I took picutres and even called/chatted with Frigidaire and they were not able to help me. I requested they send someone to verify this was a defect and they wouldnt even do that. Very disappointed and will likely trash everything Frigidaire given their lack of service and assistance.

Frigidaire gas range - One of the burners burns way too high and hot. The manual says it can be adjusted. I had 2 service calls for this issue. Both servicemen said it was by design and there was nothing wrong with it. What??? It does not have a low setting, I cannot use this burner and it is the largest one! Frigidaire uses a third party service, AE Factory Service in Texas. Im Im Maine, they have no idea who they are sending and they dont care. Also bought was a refrigerator, and the if maker is a nightmare. The service man said, I should never buy a refrigerator with an ice maker, they never work right. He didnt bother to try to fix it. Frigidaire does not care about their customers.

I bought Frigidaire oven in January 22, 2018 and exactly in January 22, 2019 it was stopped working and called customer service. They were very rude and waited very very long time and they told me it’s not under warranty anymore. Then I called service and it needs now about $400 to change the board. Please do not buy their product. They are very bad.

Ever since we got this top of the line fridge new, Eve noticed that the ice maker is nearly useless. If you use ice then be prepared to constantly turn on the quick freeze option, which really doesnt help either, but at least you get some ice. Now though to make matters worse, the ice hopper has broken, the ice maker drips water out of the front door and spews water all over our floor every time we open the door. The ice turns into gigantic chunks, the width of the entire hopper, by melting together- I cant even open the door without trying to break the chunks by running the ice maker, and risking burning up the motor. So I ordered a replacement unit, but everyone must be having this issue because theres a nationwide backorder. Last time I buy this brand, it sure looks nice, but only if you dont need an ice maker.

This oven trips the dedicated circuit breaker each time a user opens the door during the cook cycle. Luckily, I have an extended service warranty. I have had a switch replaced 3 times now to get the oven going again. Frigidaire just told me they would not replace the unit because it has not been deemed non-repairable. I guess they would rather pay a $200 service call each time the switch needs replaced than replace a $270 item. Stoopid and poor customer service to boot from Frigidaire/Electrolux. I will never buy another Frigidaire product.

In 2015 I purchased new oven, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. I have had problems with all except for the microwave (of course the least expensive item). I will never purchase Frigidaire products again. First, the dishwasher started leaking right away, within a week of installation. That was an easy fix. Soon, I noticed that the dishes really dont come out very clean. The repairman came out and told me it is working right, make sure to use the best dishwasher soap. The dishes have to be practicality clean before they go in. My old Whirlpool worked much better. Ice maker keeps breaking on the refrigerator. On the third time now. Had to buy the extended warranty. Oven push button panel already has been replaced once, out of warranty, now it is beeping and not working again. Very sorry I bought this junk.

Purchased the fridge in May 2016 model # FFTR1821QW. Within a month it started making all kinds of noises. It was under warranty so Frigidaire sent someone out to look at the problem. They said it was a fan motor making the noise and replaced it. No sooner than a day later, the same noise, called again. Sent someone out, said they didnt know where the noise was coming from. Called again, sent someone else out who stated there have been several people calling in with the noises that are coming from the product and theres nothing that can be done. It sounds like someone is knocking at all hours of the day and night plus a crap-load of different sounds. Frigidaire says it normal for all these noises and they sent me a form letter of all the noises this could make. Frigidaire says all these noises are listed in the Owners Manual. DONT YOU GET THE OWNERS MANUAL WHEN YOU ACTUALLY OWN THE ITEM?Do not buy this product. The noises are loud, obnoxious knocking constantly. Every day they keep getting noisier and noisier. $500+ may not be a lot of money for a company like Frigidaire, but to its consumers its a lot of money to spend on a crappy fridge. I guess thats one way to make you buy a warranty, because you know its gonna break down at some point.

We remodeled a year ago & I deeply regret not reading these reviews prior to buying the complete set of Frigidaire Gallery appliances. Refrigerator - French door - side by side: Ice maker has not worked properly since we have had the Refrigerator. Completely stopped making ice - technician has been out twice - extended delay time in getting parts. Noisiest Refrigerator we have ever had. Now the replacement water filter ($45) will not click into place & neither will the old one. Dishwasher: Again very noisy. Stays stuck in cycle - technician out twice. Doesnt clean as well as previous dishwashers. Serious quality issues. I will not buy Frigidaire products again.

We bought this refrigerator and the noise of the unit is very loud. The unit works perfectly but because of its design the unit produces more noise from its compressor than any refrigerator Ive ever heard. If I knew this I would have opted for a different refrigerator. The so-called stainless steel is not stainless steel and if at any time the protective finish is compromised on inside or outside it will rust. Its not right that you can say stainless steel and the metal is not stainless steel. To prove this point you should not be able to have strong magnetic properties with stainless steel because of the lack of iron in the material and yet the so-called stainless steel does work as well as plain steel which will rust. I hope this helps other unsuspecting consumers when they meet with fraudulent marketing tactics that we all must deal with more than ever today.

When the original light bulb in the refrigerated section of my Frigidaire side-by-side burnt out, I really didnt think it was so unusual. Ill just purchase a new bulb and replace it. This should be simple. Well, not so simple. Upon attempting to remove the bulb, it would not turn. I was afraid to apply excessive force since I didnt want to break it off in the socket. I couldnt understand why I was having so much difficulty removing a light bulb. So I poked my head in the refrigerator to get a closer look. I was amazed and concerned at what I saw. The bulb had burned the plastic lining above it. The bulb was stuck to the top of the liner. After several more attempts to remove the bulb, I finally succeeded. There is a considerable amount of damage to the liner, including a small hole in the middle of the egg size crater that was created by the hot light bulb. Im not only concerned that this has compromised the cooling capacity of my refrigerator. But that it could be a potential fire hazard. Still, I continue, with increasing doubt, to replace light bulbs with increasing frequency. I just installed the fourth bulb. Please help! Am I and my family in any immediate danger from this defective product?
