My fridge is great. Sturdy, sleek & keeps my food fresh. Freshness is important to me and my family. Just the right size! Not too big or too small. With three people in our house that drink different flavors of soda, all three 12 packs fit!!!

Salesman assured me that this was a wonderful stove, etc., etc. so I was suckered into buying it. Soon after the purchase, I used the oven... and SURPRISE - the stainless-looking knobs heated so much that I couldnt touch them! Customer service told me that this is normal and even professional chefs have to use oven mitts on certain stoves. (Can you believe that!?) After several calls, I finally got a rep. who sent me black knobs that are made of more heat resistant material. (I wasnt charged for them, so that tells you that they wanted to keep me quiet). That should have clued me in on this product. After approx. 2 months, one of the circuits went out and had to be replaced. My biggest complaint now is the dirty inner glass of the oven door. I called customer service and was told that since the appliance is more than a year old, and out of warranty, they will have to charge me a service call for their technician to clean it. The woman told me that this is common for this particular range!! (Again, can you believe it!??) I told her that this is a design flaw and there should be a complete seal to prevent this. She disagreed, saying its been like this for over 17 years!! NEVER BUY A KITCHENAID! Read reviews and take them seriously... I wish I had!

Kitchen Aid Refrigerators Model KBFC42FTSOO - Shame on you KitchenAid. I have several media contacts and once they report on all this I am hopeful that consumers will boycott your product. I also bought a 6300.00 refrigerator from the Great Outdoors in 2011. They were closing and since Sears owned them I purchased a floor model that was on display in a cabinet but had no power on to it. So I figured I saved 1100.00 between the brand new one. Wrong, I was told by the salesperson that it was a new model but when it was delivered and I tried to register it, it was manufactured in 2007. I called the store and Sears but since my receipt was stamped no refunds or exchanges they got me good. So now 3 years later the damn thing never worked right from the start and I have called it a piece of ** from the beginning. Guess what, my control panel out!! They do not have the part, tsunami story told and then broken contract with other company. I immediately called KitchenAid because I could not believe what this Tech was saying. Either I find an outside company with a rebuilt Control Panel or I can wheel the refrigerator to the side of the and basically its junk. KitchenAid confirm that they did not have the part and that the manufacturer was destroyed in the tsunami and the other company that has been listed several of these others complain are no longer is willing to make the control panels for them. I might have a chance of them rebuilding one for me directly and proceeded to provide the phone number for me which was wrong having to call them back and spend another 30 minutes on the phone. Another woman gave me two different phone numbers, none of them worked as well. After the third phone call I was provided with a company name and phone number they gave me that will certainly sell me a rebuilt one. I just paid $1200 for a rebuilt board. Interesting enough this company is offering a 10 year warranty on a rebuild control panel however KitchenAid only offers a one year warranty. I am sure kitchen Aid knew there was problems with this board for years. They should have recalled that or extend the warranty. I have never heard of a company not having a part in to be able to fix these refrigerator when people have paid so much money for them. Unless you have a money tree in your backyard and are able to pick enough for a new $8500-$10,000 refrigerator which I do not. They should stock the part and be able to control the market from other outside companies hiking it up prices to their desperate customers that just need their refrigerators fixed, realistically the part probably cost about $2.00 to make. I called KitchenAid as well, they said theyre putting in my case up for review to do the prorated. Its changed. From what Ive heard $1500 doesnt equal $6000 and these parts are not that expensive to obtain. This is absolutely the most hideous thing Ive ever seen a company do. This is the United States. This is a huge corporation. I hope everyone never buys a KitchenAid product again. Why would anyone in their right mind take $1500 for refrigerator thats worth more so we have no choice but to go to outside venues for these parts? Again outrageous, ridiculous and the most disgusting thing a manufacturing company can do. If they’re so willing to cough up the prorated amount why dont they do the right thing and at least split the cost of the part with the consumer if theyre giving them willy nilly numbers of outside companies and not controlling the market. Why would a company offer a 10 year warranty and not the manufacturer? I have purchased KitchenAid products for years. My whole kitchen is full of this top-of-the-line series. I will be slowly changing every single KitchenAid product out of my kitchen and if I am going to spend the money on that type of product itll certainly be Sub-Zero that offers a 12 year warranty from top to bottom on the refrigerators. There are hardly any bad reviews about Sub-Zero. KitchenAids competitors seems like they at least know how to stand behind their consumer. Shame on you KitchenAid. This is disgusting. Oh by the way, the tech Whirlpool factory care that KitchenAid called for me cause if I used someone else, my what little of a piece of junk warranty is left would be void. Charged me $145.00 for call and removal of board and oh by the way I have to have him reinstall the board for another $145.00. Cause warranty on motor and compressor will be voided if I reinstall. Pissed off!!

I also made a bad review not nasty about Lowes and kitchen Aid not standing behind product (my old unit was working when I took it out, My wife wanted the best) and when I posted on Lowes web-site they removed due that it was negative...... KitchenAid Superba double oven dies every time we try to self-clean. I told my wife not to try it today. She did and it died after the cleaning cycle had been on for about an hour. Now we are looking forward to getting a Sears repairman out to our house, which is in the country, and will cost us at least a few hundred dollars, again. We are not really very happy with KitchenAid. We bought all KitchenAid when we built. What a mistake. I really thought KitchenAid was a good brand. I see on the internet that lots of folks have had self-cleaning shutdowns and KitchenAid will do nothing. Anyone have any ideas about what to do? Class action?

After researching many brands we decided to go with a friend’s recommendation for a KitchenAid gas range. After owning it for a few months now we’re very disappointed with the wear & tear. It was delivered with the side dented, which given our timely need, we decided to live with as it’s mostly hidden. We have found however that cleaning the stove top is very difficult (heavy pieces to remove and place back) and the stainless steel surface scratches and scuffs way too easily. If you’re a tidy person like me this will drive you nuts so proceed carefully with this one! After a few months it’s already starting to look worn in.

We bought our KitchenAid Built-In Refrigerator in 2008 for approx $7,500. We have had several issues with the Ice Maker. However, this week, the Main Controller Board went out and had to be repaired. The authorized repair company told us that the Board had been discontinued by KitchenAid and they would work to get the board repaired. I called KitchenAid and eventually got through to someone that explained that the company that produced this board is located in Japan and was hit by the Tsunami and can no longer provide the board. Also, we are out of warranty and this is now our problem. My issue is that I had expectations that this high-end expensive refrigerator would last more than 6 years. A built in refrigerator should be repaired not replaced. I find it unacceptable that KitchenAid wouldnt have a Dual Source for this key component to the refrigerator. Bottom Line - Very Disappointed in KitchenAid!

A year later the wheels fell off the top rack and plastic parts ruined the motor. 2 years later we replaced the top rack wheels ourselves as did every other owner based on repair forums. We purchased a KitchenAid Dishwasher 1 year ago. Worked fine - quiet, clean dishes, etc until 9 months into the purchase. I began noting peculiar smell and dark scum near drain at front right corner. Store informed me that the drain line that went into the new garbage disposal under the sink may be too low. We raised the drain hose to be above and this seemed to work for a couple of days but the swampy odor has returned as well as a chalky haze on some of the dishes on the lower rack. I am now told that the problem may be in the control panel. Really?! This is too new an appliance to have this type of problem. I do not think Consumer Report truly assessed the quality of workmanship when they recommended this dishwasher.

My stand mixer had a bolt fall out while I was using it. I dont know where it came from, but now the stand wont stay locked down when I use it. I tie it down when I am using it. My fridge is the fancy freezer on the bottom, two-door type. There is a set of plastic drawers in the fridge that cant be used because the plastic frame that they hang on broke! My stove I have is a glass top slide-in convection oven. I have had the cooktop replaced, the front panel has been replaced twice, the meat thermometer sensor has had to be replaced twice and many more repairs. If anything overflows, the circuits blow and nothing on the cook top works for a few days until it is dried out. Last Thanksgiving, I had to cook my turkey on the barbeque and my oven didnt work for 6 weeks! Last night, a screw fell out of the bottom of the door and the inside and outside of the door was coming apart. I could see a screw was loose. I took the door off to fix it and had to take it apart. I decided to clean the glass while I had everything apart (my glass window was filthy because when anything overflows, the liquid goes down the panel and into the door). And when I was putting everything together, I heard a weird noise and the panes of the glass window shattered. These appliances cost me over $5000.00 and I bought them thinking I would never have to replace them. Ive contacted KitchenAid and they have sent people out to fix it. However, that is because Ive paid for an extended warranty. They will not replace the stove because a problem has to re-occur 3 times for it to be replaced. Meanwhile, they have paid $1000s in service repairs and are too obstinate to replace the stove which is obviously a lemon (like all my KitchenAid appliance). I am just sick about all the problems Ive had.

This dishwasher (KitchenAid Dishwasher KUDSO1FLSS6) is seven years old and I have spent more money than the dishwasher is worth. I wish that years ago I would have just bought a new and different brand dishwasher. The control panel has broken several times, the motor stopped working, the plastic utensil holders have melted and my dishwasher is not working again. I just had the panel replaced for close to $300 in February 2012 and the dishwasher does not turn on again! I also find that customer service is awful. I am waiting to hear a response from a representative but I wont sit by the computer. Another reason not to purchase a Kitchen Aid appliance is they use A&E Factory Service and they never show up. I think they are worse than KitchenAid. I had to have my refrigerator replaced several years ago because of a part flaw. I am done with KitchenAid products.

Our KitchenAid dishwasher came with our new house and it is indeed very quiet and does a good job washing dishes. The third rack is great improvement over the door-mounted utensil rack in our old Whirlpool (same company). However after two years st started blowing the circuit breaker and a second technician said it was a bad control board. These are back ordered 3-4 weeks. It has been down for a month and probably another month or more before it gets repaired. KitchenAid ought to keep a stock of parts that are failing on their products. It was the same problem getting the microwave fixed 6 months ago.

Background: Purchased $6500 of appliances in November of 2010. Refrigerator, Oven/Cooktop combo, Dishwasher, and cabinet mounted Microwave. The only one weve not had issues with is the Microwave. Lets work in the order they are listed: 1> Refrigerator, YEAR 2 >> Freezer door would not properly close. 2 service calls later issue fixed. YEAR 5 >> Out of Warranty. Defroster drain line plugged with ice leaving the interior of the freezer coated in ice and the automatic defroster in operable. Went online, researched the issue and cleared the blockage after two hours of work. Year 6 >> Louder than usual noise when compressor running. Called my Appliance Technician, of thirty Years. Diagnosis issue as one or more bad springs in the compressor, allowing compressor rotor to contact the compressor housing. Contacted KitchenAid, explained the issue. Set up an appointment for the AM, two days later. Next day received phone call from the assigned Appliance Repair service saying they had an appointment scheduled for the PM next day. I explained I was told the appointment was for AM. They said no. They made it for the PM. Okay, right hand doesnt know what the left hands doing. Was also informed there would be a $109.00 service fee for coming out to diagnose the problem. Told them what my Technician had diagnosed. Said they would have to look at it. I asked how much the repair would be if it was compressor. They told me it would be a flat fee and wouldnt be able to quote me an estimate until THEY diagnosed the problem. I asked if the service call fee would be applied to the cost of the labor. They said no, it would be in addition to the labor. Called KitchenAid again. Asked if the parts could be sent to my Appliance Repair Technician? They said no, they could only be sent to a certified Appliance repair shop. KitchenAids definition of a certified shop is one that has a contract with them. Anyway. No other options, called Payless Appliance back and kept the appointment. Technician arrives, listens for the noise, He said the compressor was running and the only noise he could hear was coming from flap/door that allowed Freezer air into the Refrigerator to keep the Refrigerator at the correct temperature. I told him that the noise he was hearing was not the same rattling I would hear when the compressor was running. He said the compressor was running and that was the only noise coming from the unit. During the diagnosis process the Technician opens the Freezer drawer and says its not adjusted properly, and thats most likely whats causing the ice build up in the freezer. He adjusted the drawer. $109.00 later, Freezer drawer is more difficult to open and close and the noise is still there. I inquired if there would be another service call fee when the noise returned. He said, yes, there probably would be since the only thing he could hear was that door/flap noise.Dishwasher: Year 4 > Out Of Warranty. Control Panel starts flashing codes. Called my usual Appliance Tech. He diagnosed the issue as a defective heating coil. Ordered the part and called me when it arrived and was able install it the same. When I ask for a bill, He quoted me the cost and told me to use the Dishwasher for few days to make sure that took care of the issue.Oven: Year 1 >> Under Warranty. Cooking dinner, and the oven starting flashing an over heat error message. Attempted to the oven off, but no controls worked. Checked the trouble shooting section of the owners manual and still nothing worked. Not sure if the oven was still on, I shut off the power at the circuit breaker, waited an hour and turned the power back on. Unknown what the issue was but it has not happened again. Bottom line: $6500.00 worth of Appliances and only one of four has been without issues. Will never purchase another KitchenAid, Whirlpool or any other Appliance made by that group.

Kitchen remodeled in spring 2005 and thought I was buying quality products, KitchenAid. The refrigerator when delivered appeared to work correctly but in fact was not. There was no Freon in the unit so several hundred dollars worth of food was spoiled and KItchenAid denied any responsibility. The appliance company I bought the appliances from replaced with a new unit. The KitchenAid microwave came with a broken plastic handle. KitchenAid refused any responsibility so I have been using it as it with tape holding the handle in place. The KitchenAid range I purchased had a problem with the control panel. I could start the oven, but could not turn it off with the off button. I had to replace the control panel, at a cost of almost $300.00. The last issue is the dishwasher, which went on fire on 14 Dec. 2011. I am still trying to deal with KitchenAid (Whirlpool) on this issue and am thoroughly disgusted by the company’s attitude as well as the personnel who manage these types of complaints for them.I will never purchase a KitchenAid appliance ever again and will spread the word among my family and friends about the lack of conscience this company has in selling inferior products.

We purchased our KitchenAid dishwasher model # KUDS301XSS in February 2012. We previously owned a KitchenAid for 18 years and NEVER ever had a service call on it! Now this new one is less than 2 years old and the rollers on the top rack have broken (they are plastic). Then when I set the buttons to run the washer, it would act like it was going to start, then cancel and drain! Found out today from the repairman that this is a common problem. The pump is out! Says this happens frequently usually within the first 5 years! Thankfully I did purchase the extended warranty but on a dishwasher that cost nearly $1,000 one should not have to! I will NEVER purchase a KitchenAid again! Also, bought KitchenAid Refrigerator a year ago. And have already had to replace the ice maker and had a service call about a leak in one of the hoses! So disappointing!

Purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher from Home Depot on their recommendation. The machine was absolutely quiet for 6 months. Then the troubles started, Noisy - can hear in next room, grating noise on occasion and loud clicking when starting. Sent repairman, replaced control unit, then replaced motor assembly, then came and said they tested and everything was ok. Turned on machine and it was whirring loudly and repairman said sounds normal. Called KitchenAid to complain as well as Home Depot. Depot said not their problem but connected us to KitchenAid as they didnt answer the two calls I made and left messages. I wont bore you with any more details except to tell you to stay away from this brand and the parent company Whirlpool. Horrible customer service and worse product. DONT BUY!! This range DOES NOT CLEAN!! The technology of AquaLift Self Clean is falsely advertised. Do not use oven cleaners. No commercial oven cleaner or oven liner protective coating of any kind should be used in or around any part of the oven. Quote from manual. Dictionary: self-clean (of oven, filter, etc) - having a mechanism to clean itself. They have a customer service number dedicated to the AquaLift Self Clean system. This model, #KGRS202BSS, vents out thru center of oven door, venting out the front top of door positioned immediately below the range top handles causing handles to heat to VERY HOT! The oven tempered glass is cleaned by removing the whole door, disassembling - then cleaning both panels inside of glass & outside! HAZARD. A scratch to tempered glass can compromise it. NO one tells you that; do they!! How does this help improve to free up your schedule? What surface does one place the door on to clean it? HAZARD is cumbersome, possible breakage and injury while handling. Black stove top is NOT porcelain & stains permanently... as do the burner caps and burner flame tops. The top non-fingerprint stainless by panel scratches incredibly easy. It takes a long time to heat to desired temperature. UPSIDE: Range is attractive looking if thats all you require out of a range.Beware, KitchenAid is not customer complaint friendly to resolving issues - read reviews, they just keep sending out repairmen! They will chase you around the Cuckoo Clock! Once out of warranty, they will not talk at all! Check out the BBB complaints too! From www.whirlpoolcorp.com: We are the number one major appliance manufacturer in the world, with approximately 20 billion in annual sales. We provide purposeful technology that helps free up your schedule for what really matters. We feel that our products positively impact your life right now. Mission: Create Demand and Earn Trust. We are NOT feeling this right now!! They manufacture just about every brand, hmm.. monopoly springs to our minds. They are a global company. The sad part, this type of technology is fast becoming the future of all ranges! Why not! Whirlpool owns just about every brand so what they do becomes the design of all our product choices.

I have had at least 4 issues with the left side of the top rack coming off the rails or leaning which causes the dishwasher not to start. The first time it happening the dishwasher was under warranty and the service guy said that this happens often with this model. Why has KitchenAid not recalled this machine?

We had the worst experience with a Kitchenaid dishwasher. I made many attempts in calling them and nothing was ever done. All they did was they send me the same technician over and over. Today we had the technician come and he recommended to get a simple model and not to go with the KitchenAid brand. The sides of my kitchen where the steam vents are in the dishwasher, they are destroyed them completely.

We purchased a French Door KitchenAid Refrigerator model #KFCS22EVMS8, that is just over two years old. It recently started leaking water from the freezer drawer onto the floor on a regular basis. As we have hardwood floors, this is a concern. We called KitchenAid and they ordered a service call, and since our refrigerator was no longer under warranty, we were responsible for the service fee. However, they covered the parts as a one-time goodwill gesture. Well, I discovered from online research that this model has a defective part that has totally been redesigned. The service agent at KitchenAid knew exactly which part to order without really asking me for many details. Even though this defect is totally theirs, they refuse to cover the labor when the problem is no fault of the consumer or due to age of the appliance. It will happen if your refrigerator has been assembled with this defective part, and unless you purchase the extended warranty, the consumer is responsible for the repair. Bad Business!

4 years ago when we built our new home, we bought a high end KitchenAid dishwasher - retailed at $1800. The big attraction was how quiet it was supposed to be - and it is. However, in the past 8 months the control panel has gone out THREE times! At $150 for the part, and another $150 for service call and labor to replace it, it has reached the point of absurdity. The cycle times are also erratic. Sometimes it will take 4 hours! to go through a normal wash cycle, and others maybe 2. It has seemed to clean well, and it is quiet. But... the ridiculous lack of dependability makes KitchenAid no longer a desirable product.

This was a very expensive dishwasher. I live alone and only use it about twice a week. After only two years, the motor died and they want $350 to put in a new motor. And then they will only put a 90 day warranty on the new motor. Good grief. Im going to get rid of this and never buy a KitchenAid again.

As part of a complete KitchenAid appliance package purchase three years ago
As part of a complete KitchenAid appliance package purchase three years ago, we purchased a KitchenAid Fridge Model KRFF707ESS01. Rather than take the specced Frigidaire appliance group that was included with our new home purchase, we elected to spend the extra money believing KitchenAid was a superior product. During the past year, we have encountered some of the inner cabinet led lights not functioning and others flickering on and off. We have determined that it isn’t a simple fix such as a door switch, but rather defective led lights and or an led emitter control board. It appears this is a common problem, however KitchenAid is not acknowledging it as a manufacturer defect.I have read a number of online posts reporting the same issues. The reviewers report having replaced faulty led lights, only to have the same problem reoccur. In one case the reviewer stated they were advised that nothing could be done to remedy the problem. I strongly advise you to not buy a KitchenAid fridge with this led lighting design. Repairs are either extremely costly or impractical as the problem will only reoccur. A highly respected technician in our area has confirmed that this is a common problem with KitchenAid fridges. This is a manufacturer defect and needs to be dealt with accordingly.

We have had KitchenAid dishwashers for 20 years. I got this dishwasher three years ago after six months, it wasn’t cleaning the dishes. The repairman came out and told me that I was using the wrong detergent. I switched to Cascade. The fact that you need to buy a special detergent to go with these dishwashers seemed pretty peculiar, but I did it. Since then I’ve had a repairman out three times because it leaks, wasn’t cleaning the dishes, water wasn’t emptying, and now all of the wheels have dissolved and fallen off the dishwasher on the bottom rack. They have melted onto the drying bar. I am grateful they didn’t start a fire. The repairman came out and told me that I was using the detergent Cascade and that dissolves the plastic on the dishwasher wheels.... WHAT???? I finally called kitchenaid and she told me that have never heard of this ever happening and that my warranty was out. I told them that not have if any wheels on my bottom rack was inexcusable and I demanded they send me wheels. Finally they said they would. That was 7 days ago. They said they would send them but if I couldn’t put them on I’d have to hire someone, they would not pay for that. I am very disappointed in kitchen aid, and will never, ever buy another.

Very poor cleaning performance. To get clean dishes, you become the person
Very poor cleaning performance. To get clean dishes, you become the person in that commercial who must wash the dishes thoroughly before putting them in the dishwasher. As my daughter says, this isnt a dishwasher, its a sanitizer. What doesnt come clean? A coffee cup that sat overnight (coffee stains remain), a dish that was rinsed and 90% scrubbed that was put into the dishwasher immediately (before the food dries), knives with even a tad of peanut butter that was not 100% scrubbed off. Salesman told me it was their best seller and could clean the spots off a cat. They tell me that for my dishwasher to perform this badly, it must be a lemon. After nearly an hour on the phone with KitchenAid , I learned that if they send a technician out to check it, Ill owe $120 for the service call if the only problem is that the dishes arent clean. Yup, unless a service code/error comes up, Ill owe for them checking to see why it cleans so poorly. Cleaning dishes does not constitute a functional failure therefore dirty dishes are not covered by the warranty. Another call with a supervisor and theyre finally sending someone out and promised not to charge me as long as the technician can see how the dishes dont come clean (not a problem...since that happens every time).UPDATE: A trusted service technician came out today and ran it through its paces. No error codes. Nothing wrong though he agreed that the dishes that were not cleaned were something that hes experienced too. He said that the machine is as good as it can be and noted that the poor cleaning is probably from the new engineering that uses much less water. He suggested using TOUGH and HI TEMP every time and that it might cut the dirty dishes down to 10% or so. Not exactly a rave review and since its not defective Im stuck with a dishwasher that only sanitizes. The tech told me that any decent dishwasher does NOT require you to wash the dishes first; He said that a good rinse that removes the food particles is enough. He agreed that a dishwasher should actually do much better than the selection of still-dirty dishes on my countertop after the testing. But per KitchenAid, theres nothing wrong with my machine. If youre okay with COMPLETELY washing the dishes before putting them into the dishwasher OR rewashing about 1/4 of the load after doing a thorough rinsing before this machine, then buy it. Its very quiet and pretty. But if you expect a dishwasher to wash dishes well, dont say I didnt warn you. When you pull your dishes out after doing a load in this machine, you will remember this cautionary tale. Ill admit that I usually dismiss one or two bad reviews -- that person must be super picky or to the unit was a rare lemon. Im here to tell you that IF you get a machine like mine, and you go to KitchenAid for support, youll be logging on to write a review that continues my warning to others.

Purchased a Kitchen Aid side-by-side refrigerator as part of a new home purchase. Everything was fine for the first year but then the lights in the refrigerator and freezer began going out. I called Kitchen Aid and they scheduled a service repair. Two lights were replaced (at no cost to me) and about 3 months later, the same issue came up again; no lights. Again I called Kitchen Aid and they sent out the same service repair company and they again replaced two lights (at no cost to me). Now, 4 months have passed and the lights are out again in both the refrigerator and freezer.I called Kitchen Aid a third time and they said the refrigerator was out of warranty and I was on my own even though they didnt fix the problem when it was under warranty. I believe the LED light panel needs to be replaced costing several hundred dollars. Kitchen Aid quality is average at best and I would recommend not purchasing their product. My refrigerator retails for about $10,000, model KBSD608ESS, so I would expect much better quality.

Our Failed Kitchen Aid Refrigerator KFIS29BBMS02 Ser#K35102755 - We purchased this refrigerator January 2013. The ice maker went out right away and was replaced on under warranty. Then in 2016 it fell apart. Another ice maker (Two) more actually, new control panel, new compressor. Service Dealer in Omaha tried to fix it 5 times with new parts and recharge the system. Last repair was 1-3-2017. Sent a letter to KitchenAid & Nebraska Furniture Mart in Omaha. NFM called back and said they could do nothing since we did not buy extended warranty. KitchenAid did not respond. It went hot again this week and no ice and lost frozen food for the 5th time. DO NOT BUY ANY KITCHENAID REFRIGERATORS! They told my service guy that they know they have a problem but my serial number does not apply. If I ran my company this way we would be broke with no customers. Buyers beware of KitchenAid.

I absolutely love my KitchenAid dishwasher. It is so quiet you cannot tell is running. It is energy-efficient and the temperature of the water can be increased if necessary. There are three racks in the machine. The very top rack is flat and holds either cooking utensils or knives, forks, and spoons. That rack can also be removed if you prefer. The machine also has a special feature where you can place bottles directly on individual water spouts that will shoot up into the bottle for a perfect cleaning. The other thing I love about it is Shane is that it has a removable cover that goes over the normal utensil holder automatically separate utensils so they will not stick together during the washing process.

We had remodeled our kitchen and bought all the appliances through hhgregg (which is another story). We bought the KitchenAid Architect Series II and have had an issue with the oven making clicking and whooshing noises every 55 seconds. It is the sound of the pilot light igniting in the oven. I have never heard this noise before with my old oven or anyone else for that matter. When we have the oven on, the noise is so loud and annoying! I put in a complaint to KitchenAid, but they told me that that was a normal sound. They sent a repairman out and he also said that that was a normal sound! Who has ever heard a loud ignition in their oven every 55 seconds? The customer service is horrible and the product stinks! Ill never buy from them again. Ill pay more next time and get the Jenny Air appliances. I had them for 18 years and never had a problem! How disappointing! We are stuck with a shabby appliance! Shame on KitchenAid/Whirlpool. Each time the unit is unplugged, the owner resets the time and date as requested by the screen. The light for the microwave does not go on adequately to see what is cooking. In the Spring of 2006, I purchased 4 new KitchenAid appliances for my new gourmet kitchen. Within a month, the control panel of the slide-in oven had to be replaced. The oven stopped working a month ago. The dishwasher has been performing worse and worse every week for a year.I am tired of rewashing by hand all my gritty dishes and glasses. We rinse dishes before we put them into the machine and they come out dirtier than when they went in! Today I will spend the day taking it apart in the hope of cleaning out the guts and getting it to work. Never had to do this to any other dishwasher before. The Magnatron in the microwave had to be replaced one year ago ($125) out of pocket. Two months ago a chip in the control panel had to be replaced ($150), I should have listened to my girlfriend who said throw it out and buy a different brand. My french-door Kitchen Aid fridge has half a dozen broken plastic parts. I have never seen anything so flimsy. I have no kids man-handling my appliances, they are just poorly made.Thirty years ago I got a top quality Kitchen Aid mixer, it still works like new. That is what led me to buy Kitchen Aid everything when I did my upgrade in 2006. I had forgotten that the mixer was really made by Hobart (a really good company) What happened to Kitchen Aid? When did they start making the worst quality appliances? Or was it always this way with them?

Called kitchenaid, they asked questions, said they would transfer me to the safety department, and disconnected me. I re-called, waited another 8 minutes and finally got connected to a person. Asked if anyone was hurt, I stated my dog got cut on his foot, they said they were sorry. They set up a repair appointment for the next week, they said if the repairperson had the glass they would fix it, otherwise they would order the part. I asked why they didnt tell them to bring the part, they said that was up to the repair people. I asked if there was any compensation for the meal in the oven covered in glass, they stated they dont do that. I asked if this was a recurring problem, she never did really answer, except to say that it is glass and glass does break. This issue really should be revealed when purchasing, and the extent of the problem revealed and pursued. If anyone had been in the kitchen at the time, they definitely would have gotten hurt.

In December, 2013, I purchased a replacement dishwasher for my then 20 year old KitchenAid. Shortly after it was installed, we discovered that the handle was improperly attached and one end stuck out, catching on clothes and tearing them. KitchenAid informed me, That was just the way it was on some units. I found that unsatisfactory, so they sent a technician out who basically did nothing. I called the retailer, who replaced the unit completely with a new dishwasher within a couple of weeks. The new unit was installed in January, 2014. It came with a one year manufacturers warranty, and I purchased an extended warranty good through 2019. Since we are at our second home much of the time, and use this dishwasher twice weekly on average, we thought we would be safe with the new unit, which had a properly installed handle, by the way. No such luck. Shortly before Thanksgiving, 2015, while the unit was less than two years old, the top pull-out drawer fell down, landing on the dishes below. We removed the top drawer/pull out unit, and tried running it without the top drawer, but no luck. The unit would not operate without the top drawer. I called the warranty company, Bankers Insurance. They dont cover mechanical parts, I was told. So I called KitchenAid, and the wait was so long I was directed to their website, where I was instructed to enter my zip code to find a service technician. So I did, and the results? NO SERVICE in my area... impossible to believe, with over a million people in my greater metro area! Nonetheless, I contacted the retailer, who gave me the name of a service company. Their technician came out today, took one look, and said that the problem was a repetitive one, a defective part that KitchenAid was replacing with metal parts. No more plastic -- they had so many issues with this part that they were in most cases repairing the defective parts at no charge. That of course, was not my luck when I called KitchenAid. Nope, no replacement. We are not showing any problems with that model! Exact words. Not their problem! But they would be happy to direct my call to the parts department where I could order the parts, and pay for them, of course. I spent over a thousand dollars on this dishwasher, it gets light use, is less than two years old, and it wont run without a cheap plastic pull out part that will cost me well in excess of $200 to replace, because they only sell the entire mechanism. My biggest regret? I specified KitchenAid for my dishwasher in my second home. Trust me, they are not what they used to be, nor is their customer service department.

We purchased the KA model KFIS29BBMS02 in December 2013. We noticed it was rather noisy but we were told that refrigerators make some noise. We have already had technicians out 4 times. They have replaced the evaporator fan motor on July 25 for a flapping noise. That noise is still present. We have a high pitched whirring noise that happens a few times each day. We have found out the mostly constant humming noise is the compressor, as it is always running. We have been told at todays appointment that the compressor needs to be replaced since it is apparently leaking Freon and will hopefully keep working until the repairman can get the part - which is on back order because so many have needed to be replaced!!!! We have also had to replace the touch pad control panel as it popped out of the front of the fridge! After 9 months, we are still unsatisfied with the refrigerator and the KitchenAid brand. We purchased all KitchenAid appliances when we built our house in May 2010, after being told that they were top-of-the-line. Regarding our refrigerator (model KBFS25EVMS2) with French doors and freezer on the bottom thats been in the house for about 8 months, we noticed that the right side of its doors was not sealing properly. When I contacted the store about this, I was told that this is a typical problem with the French-door models. Should this not be disclosed upfront?! When I contacted KA about this, I was told that my refrigerator was out of warranty (date of purchase, not date installed) and they refused to help in any way.My problem with all this is my old refrigerator (Maytag) had it for 23 years, and I never replaced a door gasket or worked on it in any way. I dont know a door gasket should go bad in less than a year. Now being two years, it is crumbling and falling apart when you open the door. If you buy from KA or an approved service company, the seal is $199. I purchased one on the internet for $99 and replaced it myself. Buyer, beware! KA does not care about the customer, just the dollar! I will never purchase another KA brand or Whirlpool brand ever again, and I will make sure all my friends know about it too.

Well for the send time our expensive KitchenAid Built-in Side by Side Refrigerator Freezer Failed. It is almost 10 years old. The refrigerator repairmen from Judd and Black Electric arrived about 12:00 and fussed around with our fridge for an hour. In my opinion they didnt have a clue really and ** thought they were rude. At the end of the process they said the main control module was out, KitchenAid didnt make the part, it wasnt available anymore and they couldnt fix the KitchenAid KSSC48QMS01 side by side built in refrigerator. Period. They said that Core Centric could rebuild the control board but they didnt offer to take it out or send it in to Core Centric. The entire afternoon I researched the issue and learned that there are several companies that will rebuild the control board for about $100, found a YouTube Video on how to remove it and learned the serial number (W10219463-119) of the offending part. I will NEVER buy a KichenAid product again.

I purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher two years ago. I have a KitchenAid refrigerator that is 25 years old. The dishwasher KDFE1040BLO has been worked on 4 times. They have replaced the water valve and the motor. Just yesterday, it dumped water all over the floor and the heated dry is not working. Thank goodness I took out an extended warranty. I know that KitchenAid is a good brand, but I am very disappointed in my dishwasher. It hasnt worked 3 out of the last 6 months.

I think we paid around $1,000 for this stove.

In our conversion to stainless steel we decided on KitchenAid. We got a bundle deal and purchase three appliances from Lowes and, though I normally never do, I purchased the extended warranty. The microwave (MODEL # KCMS1655BSS) quit working within the first year, still under factory warranty. They brought a new one and out of the box, it did not work! They brought another one and it is still working. Shortly after the first year the oven (MODEL # KEBS179BSS00) was not able to consistently get over 400 degrees. After about 6 service calls and replacing two circuit boards and a temp sensor, it appears to be fixed. The problem is, anytime a part is needed to be replaced, it takes at least 2 service calls. The first one to troubleshoot the problem and say, you need a new (part), and then they order it and the second one to install the part. Jump forward a couple months and the refrigerator (MODEL # KFIS29PBMS00) stops making ice. This problem actually started while we were still dealing with the oven problems! I called in the fridge and before the tech even came out, I realized that it was a cooling problem as my ice cream turned to soup. I called Lowes extended warranty and let them know the problem was not the ice maker but a cooling problem. The tech still came out to troubleshoot the ice maker. I pointed out the problem was cooling, showing him the item in the freezer that were thawing. What does he do, order a new ice maker. After probably a dozen service calls and several replaced parts, I told them I wanted my money back. Reading the extended warranty from Lowes, it says that if the appliance is repaired three times for the same problem that they will buy it back from you. They cut me a check for my purchase price and I went to Home Depot and bought a new Fridge, GE this time. I was very unhappy with KitchenAid and very unhappy with Lowes service techs. I was an electronics tech in the Air Force and I was doing better at troubleshooting this problem than these people were. They were so clueless. Warning, KitchenAid and Whirlpool are the same thing! I will say that the extended warranty served it purpose and we did not have to spend a dime on any of these service calls, that is good. But for the three appliances there were probably 23 service calls in less than 2 years! Those are all days that I have to be home between 8 and 1 or 1 and 5. I always pick the earlier time slot. The vast majority of the time I would get a call around 12:50 letting me know they were on the way. They usually showed up well after 1:00, closer to 2:00, not leaving until 3 or later. My day is shot at that point. Thats 23 days of my life I sat in my house waiting for a service technician in just 2 years.

I am deeply disappointed with KitchenAid, an appliance manufacturer whom I thought built high quality, reliable products and who stood behind their products. I have a model KSSSC48QMS03 refrigerator that constantly runs with 1 second pauses and pinging noise. Technician diagnosed as faulty Gemini board 2307028 (W10219463). I cannot believe that Kitchen Aid does not provide repair part 2307028 (W10219463)! My home is only 8 years old and a showcase of high-end KitchenAid built-in stainless steel appliances; 48 wide refrigerator, microwave, warming drawer, double drawer dishwasher and gas stove with steamer. This Gemini Electronic Control is for the refrigerator (and, according to the service technician, in the stove as well). There are all kinds of complaints on the internet about KA refrigerators running continuously with a sonar-like pinging noise diagnosed as this faulty board. It is unbelievable that I have a $9K refrigerator for which KA will not provide a replacement part. According to the KA recommended service company, the only solution is to send the board off to a refurbisher. I dont like to buy parts from someone that is not supported by the manufacturer. Not that they may not do a good job, but that its not a new part, factory tested with manufacturer warranty. If this is what I can expect from KA, then as these appliances need to be replaced, I will change to a manufacturer who supports their products. Unbelievable, KitchenAid (Whirlpool)! This is probably a $50 part to manufacture that they could sell easily for $300. How can they anger so many customers? One comment said that KA told them this was due to the Tsunami in Japan that wiped out the plant. We had a plant affected as well at my company and its not hard to take the design to another manufacturing location.

The unit is 2 years old. The Control panel was always hot. The repairman said that was normal. It was so hot that the cupboard Above the unit was being heated. Eventually the control panel blew. The entire unit had to be replaced. Next everything was burning. The repairman came & told us, You didnt calibrate the oven!!! They calibrated it and then told me that the setting will not hold. we will have to continually monitor the temperature in the oven.I baked two pans of oatmeal bars for my grandsons football team. One pan burned, the other did not. When I called about this I was told, You should have used the convection function. In other words it was my fault. I just threw out 4 loaves of German stollen because 4 were burned on the outside and uncooked on the inside. The remaining 2 loaves are fine. This oven will bankrupt us if we keep bringing in repair men. My question is this, Any suggestions for replacing this unit? Incidentally, we live in St. Joseph, MI, right across the river from Whirlpools Corporate Headquarters. NO ONE CARES whether the consumer is satisfied. Im fearful that this company will suffer the same fate as Eastman Kodak, in my hometown.

Stainless Steel KitchenAid Dishwasher Complaint - I bought this high-end dishwasher for $1,600 in 2006, and it has broken several times - replacing internal panel, internal control unit, and exterior touch pad within warranty period in which I had to pay for labor and miscellaneous parts. It now has another broken internal panel, internal control unit, which is out of warranty now. The GE authorized repairman said I have a lemon and it’s not worth fixing. GE has offered to pay for a few parts but not labor. Or, I need to buy a new one with a slight discount. I feel this is unreasonable since I have had major problems with this dishwasher lemon within warranty.

Picking up a paper towel I wet it with tap water and started to wipe off the spill when the glass exploded in little small shards that shot across my kitchen. My dogs were sitting beneath the sink and got glass in their coat, my shirt had glass on it. I was stunned. It took an hour and a half to completely clean up all of the glass. Very very dangerous. I contacted whirlpool who makes the unit and told them that when I call kitchen aid they wouldn`t do nothing for me! After a week the place that sold the unit to me who had nothing to do with the problem also called whirlpool and told them the story. Guess what? He told me to come in and pick out a new fridge of equal value and that whirlpool corp. was giving me a full refund. So the store rep, told me that he had very little problems with GE and that if he did GE backed him 100% so I bought a GE French door, super quiet and they also threw in a 5-year extended warranty! PS DON`T GIVE UP! KEEP CALLING UNTIL THEY SATISFY YOU. WE PAID A LOT OF MONEY FOR THESE AND JUST WANT WHAT WE PAY FOR! THE STORE I USED WAS RICHMOND APPLIANCE, STATEN ISLAND NEW YORK! KitchenAid uses an third party to come diagnose the problem, and they dont even take the time to troubleshoot and fix it. I will never again buy a KitchenAid product. Their business is horrible and they dont give a ** about the consumer. This is unbelievable and Im going on three weeks without my refrigerator being fixed. Every time I call, its a different story. I have a 4 year old Kitchenaid Dishwasher. We spent over $1,000 for it thinking we were investing in a very nice, long lasting machine. After a year, the right clip on the top rack broke and needed to be repaired by a technician. 6 months later the other side broke and we needed another service call. In the last few weeks, all 8 wheels have fallen off the bottom rack. We run the dishwasher about once every three days. I spoke to Kitchenaid customer service this morning via their online chat. The service representative admitted that there were so many complaints about my model that it should have been recalled. She said there was nothing she could do for me. I called and spoke to a customer service representative and their supervisor and they both refused to provide the replacement parts. My model is KUDE 40FXSP3. I will never buy another Kitchenaid product. Even when they know theres an issue, they will not take responsibility for it.

My brand new dishwasher leaked from the moment we got it. Kitchenaid took a long time to send not one, but two repair men out to check it out and we were told by BOTH that we should have the dishwasher replaced since the tub was damaged in addition to a marked front panel. Then it took them weeks to finally say they are replacing the parts and then they come to refurbish it and the tub they bring is damaged. I now have to wait an additional 12 business days to have them come back. This will make a total of 3 months without a dishwasher and I have a toddler. We purchased a KUDE40FXWH dishwasher in March of 2011. The top rack glides kept popping open letting the rack fall off. This probably was linked to binding due to breakage of the plastic pins that connect the glide wheels on the glide bracket. Three months out of warranty, the wheels on one side fall into the bottom of the dishwasher. Both sides have now been replaced for $250. The service technician said this is not isolated and they encounter this on these models. We called Whirlpool/KitchenAid and they politely noted the problems. But once they had the information, they made it very clear that they are unwilling to supply anything at their cost to correct our problem with their equipment. They are glad to have the info for engineering future equipment but are calculatingly unmoved about the predicaments of people who have bought their products to date. We paid for a higher end dishwasher to get reliability and service. KitchenAid is not worth the premium. I could just as well have bought a bargain brand and the repairs wouldnt have been any more than the glitzy one.

I purchased this stove because it had a very large oven and I bake. Two weeks after installation I realized when I leaned up to get something from the cabinet above the stove I turned on burners, sometimes just enough for a gas leak and sometimes enough to burn my arm. First problem with design. A month later at Thanksgiving the turkey was in the oven and my grandson touched a knob with his arm and actually burned it. Thats how hot the knob. I see were due to a vent directly below them. Second design flaw.Later that afternoon. We realized the turkey wasnt getting done. Oven turned off by itself. Luckily I have a second oven. Very nice competent repairman (outsourced) checked the temperature of the knobs and they came in two degrees under government top number. He replaced an oven valve. This valve was replaced three times before the oven would function without failing. I took these safety and oven problems up with KitchenAid only to be told they were within government standards and be glad I bought a warrant for the oven. Cold, disrespectful and dismissive people. Finally it was fixed. I use the term fixed loosely. It quit again in early 2013, they would only offer me a new maintenance contract. But the company that does the maintenance contract were total jerks. Let me explain, what I called them about they recorded in their records to make it sound like one thing to their advantage. The long and short of this - the poor dishwasher will be taking space up in a local landfill. I have never written a review, but compelled to because my experience with KitchenAid has been so terrible. I wish it was possible to rate KitchenAid zero stars. I have had nothing but problems with my brand new KitchenAid refrigerator (model #krmf706ess01) since I purchased it in January of 2017. In the last 7 months I have had to call KitchenAid on numerous occasions. The first time I called regarding the freezer because it had completely frozen over - The drawers would not slide open/shut because it was frozen solid. There was blocks of ice everywhere and all of our food was freezer burned. A technician from one of their hired contractors came out to fix the problem and afterward instructed us to empty the freezer for 24 hours and everything would go back to normal. We did so - throwing away all of the freezer burned food which was probably close to $300 worth of food. We refilled the freezer after that 24 hour period and the same thing happened again! Ruining all of my food again, and refreezing over again. At the same time, we began having problems with the water dispenser/ice maker leaking into the fridge. We called again and KitchenAid said they would send someone out. They scheduled the appointment for August 3rd - using the same repair contractor. I was given a 4 hour window meaning I had to stay home from work. August 3rd - nobody shows up or calls. I call Kitchen Aid to let them know that happened and after sitting on hold for 57 minutes, I was finally told that repair contractor needed to order a gasket and it would take 2-3 days to come in, but because of the inconvenience of nobody showing up, they would work with my schedule when rescheduling and give me a targeted time. Even though I complained about my food being ruined 2 times, nothing was done or said about that.2-3 days then passes by and nobody from the repair contractor called. 4 days later, someone finally calls and said they had to also order an ice maker in addition to the gasket. They have not seen the leakage problem at this point, but theyre ordering parts? Another 3 days passes and nobody called, so I called them. They let me know they had us scheduled for a technician to come out the next day. When was somebody going to tell me? They said they would try to get us a morning appointment. When I told them KitchenAid said they would work with my schedule, they just said they would try. I immediately called KitchenAid, explained this whole fiasco all over again, and the customer service rep offered me a $125 gift card for the ruined food, and said to have the technician come out one more time, and if problems still persisted after that, they would give us the option to either replace the unit or choose another refrigerator. The next day the repair contractor came with no parts that they claimed they had ordered and were waiting on. The guy looked at the freezer, said Wow thats really bad and claimed we needed a new door, which Kitchen Aid would need to approve, and would take 4-6 weeks to come in. He looked at the ice maker and said he would take care of that another time. I called Kitchen Aid immediately. The representative proceeded to tell me that they will not replace the refrigerator that their policy requires a certain amount of information and severity and our case does not qualify for a replacement as per their policy. He said the representative I already spoke to should have never promised me something thats not true. When I expressed my concerns - needing to miss work again, not being able to store food, having only $125 reimbursed even though I probably lost about $500 worth of food - his response was I understand, but offered no real solution. The only option he gave me was to send someone from a different repair contractor for a second opinion. So now I am left waiting on another appointment, with another technician, along with another day lost from work. The pictures Ive attached dont even begin to show how terrible the freezer ended up getting - this only shows the beginning of the problem. I am unbelievably disappointed in the product and service. When you spend thousands of dollars on a new refrigerator, you expect it to work properly.

KBFS22EWMS4 bought this refrig in late 2012. All seemed fine till 5/2014. Water started leaking from the freezer door. Water had been leaking into the bottom of the freezer and eventually started spilling out on the floor when the defrost cycle ran. I called a tech and he took apart the freezer, cleared the defrost drain, unfroze it and all seemed fine. 1 year 4 months later the same thing again.I called the same tech and when he got here, he pulled out the refrig and took off the bottom back panel and then removed the little rubber drain plug/funnel. He said this was the problem and now he just removed them when he sees this issue. Hes seen this before. It was very sticky (he said) because of the heat. The rubber funnel is about an inch long and about 1/2 inch wide. It has a slit in the bottom of it for the water to pass through. Not a hole, a slit! No wonder the thing leaked, it would get so easily gunked up and with the rubber being so sticky Im sure the slit would stick together and probably make it much easier to freeze. Id call this an engineering issue.Who in their right mind would use a pliable rubber funnel with a small slit in the bottom, it defies logic. There probably should have been no funnel to begin with or at least a hard plastic one with a hole big enough to drain without getting gunked up. Well see if this fix takes. If not, Im buying another (non-Kitchenaid) refrig. Im not putting $100+ each year on the same fridge for something that should have been designed properly.

The oven pan is cheaply made. Horrible surface. Not easy to clean. Circular with 1 lip is fine. Wire thing fits inside fine. The pan itself is tarnished and may rust out over time. Should be able to make cookies on it but it is in too poor a shape.

Bought KitchenAid stove about a year ago, model KSDB900ESS0 and Im 100% displeased with the AquaLift self-cleaning technology to clean the oven. Tried several times and the oven looks just as dirty after the cleaning cycles. I Cant even use chemical cleaners because I may damage the finish on the oven walls. My previous stoves were also KitchenAid and they were 100% efficient. Paid a lot for the last stove and I have to stop using the oven because I cant properly clean after each use! Im extremely frustrated!!! Any recommendations?

Bought this high end dishwasher in January. Immediate problems where washer stopped mid-cycle. Over six months had repairman out constantly. The fix never lasted a week. Couldnt get a replacement washer until June after a zillion repair visits. The replacement washer which was the same model worked 4 mos. now again having same problem. Repairman usually cant come for 10 days and then sometimes a part must be ordered and another visit made. In between time, we have no dishwasher. This is fraudulent and for customer a whole year of misery. The dishwasher model is first in the series. Obviously a lemon and should simply be replaced quickly with a different model. Super surprised a large company does not have a better service/replacement policy. It is unethical. The product does not work.

After using the self-clean option on our Kitchen Aid range, the oven door locked, the oven could not be turned off or regulated, and an indicator light for the probe was on the display screen. Due to the inability to turn off the oven, weve had to unplug the unit, not use the oven, and light the stove top with a lighter. Ive read numerous complaints on the internet regarding this product and am applaud that KitchenAid has not recalled this item. Agreeing to replace a part through 2010 and not pay for the service call in unacceptable. We did not use the self-clean option until this year (2011) and had no reason to question the product prior. It is a very dangerous issue. KitchenAid needs to rectify this immediately.

The light in the oven of our 8 year old kitchenaid superba stove doesnt light up anymore. Apparently we have to change the whole board? Total loss of function for the oven and the visible control area (lights, timer, programs) resulted. The cost of a new board in Canada is close to $500 + installation so it is not worth repairing. Kitchenaid offers no assistance in this matter. The stove cost us $2500. We thought we were buying the best but were we ever wrong.Fridge door bottom hinge is sinking in the door, the door is basically just foam there is. No support to hold the weight, very bad design. I called Kitchen aid and all they want to do is to sell us another door for $800. Believe me, they will never sell me anything ever again, they are far from being the best.
