Updated on 7/5/2021: I posted a review of the dishwasher last year. In the meantime our builder replaced the one that did not clean and the door broke off. So a year ago it was replace by the same model.... exactly one year later.... we are having to replace it. Run away!!!! Run Away NOW from this Samsung Dishwasher. I have had two of the same model and it is TRASH! NEVER NEVER NEVER BUY THIS!!!! Is there anything else I can say?Original review: Brand new home... brand new appliance... Samsung everything. All the other appliances I love EXCEPT the dishwasher.... it is awful. It does not get the dishes clean. I cannot fit my 11-inch plates in it... the bowls, forget about it. The top rack, please do not get me started. It uses all the Jet Dry in one wash. I cant get the racks to adjust... which they are supposed to do. I hate doing dishes but after 45 years I would rather have clean dishes then this piece of... run away from this dishwasher.
4 Door Refrigerator Model RF25HMEDBWW/AA - Soon after receiving our new refrigerator we advised Samsung and they dispatched a service Tech from a highly regarded service provider. Samsung had sent a replacement front and auger, which they installed. The quality of the ice was not improved, and still many cubes were broken. We were away for the winter, and ice maker was turned off. Recently we had three successive issues with dairy products going sour prematurely, and loss of some beautiful steaks. The front panel assured me that temperature was 37. On the evening of June 5, 2016 I used two different digital thermometers and confirmed that problem was the main cooling (Upper) was registering 55 degrees F. I used a Taylor remote oven thermometer plus a fast (but not instant) digital cooking thermometer with 0.1 degree gradient. The following AM, June 6, as I was leaving the house for the day, I asked my wife to call Samsung and report the problem. That evening my wife informed me that the Samsung person asked her to unplug and then re-plug the power cord. The delivery team for our retailer had damaged the legs on the bottom of the unit, making it very difficult to move and access the power outlet. They have been slow in responding, and I will use this document to re-light a fire under them, as I am certain they will not be pleased to read their name here. I called Samsung that evening and advised that a technician was needed. They informed me that it would take several days before I heard from their agents. On the third evening past my call, I again called Samsung and was advised that there was no record of my prior call.On the 16th, the tech arrived and advised that this was a common issue caused by freeze-up of the evaporator coil in the upper refrigerator, and some new parts would also fix the ice problem. I called Samsung in an attempt to get the parts expedited, and when I requested to speak with the Samsung Service Manager I was advised that the person I was speaking with could not arrange a communication with a Samsung higher up and that absolutely nobody at Samsung would have a knife sharp enough to cut through the accumulated Samsung constipation. It is very clear that their telephone answering people have all submitted to a lobotomy before beginning work there and all they are allowed to do is read what appears on their computer screen.Due to the scheduling procedure, I was not able, until approximately 10:15, to learn if and in what time frame to anticipate the techs arrival! The tech WITH THE PARTS arrived just before 1PM on the 23rd of June. He spent several hours replacing parts, and I thought and hoped the problems were over. Ice is no better and temperatures are still warm. So today when I called, I immediately advised the computer that I would only speak with a service executive. After a 33 minute wait I got somebody in their Executive Service department. After a 15 minute conversation with him, I realized that he did not have any idea how a refrigerator worked and he placed me on A SHORT HOLD, to immediately transfer me to somebody in Refrigeration. At 1 hour and three minutes I was connected with somebody in the Dominican Republic that likely could not tell the difference between a digital thermometer and a rectal, EVEN if the digital device was inserted in his rectum. Do not ask about his comprehension of a refrigerator. He got me a reference number for the new service call at 1 hour and 20 minutes and indicated that I would hear from somebody that understood refrigeration in a day or two. THE PRECEDING WAS COMPOSED ON MONDAY EVENING, JUNE 27.Beginning on the second Tuesday of next week, I am going to begin holding my breath until Samsung discovers the concept that I invented: I have called it responsibility and service. Today, June 28, I heard from service company and learned that they will have a tech here on July 14. We are going to look for a phone number for Enterprise Refrigerator Rental, to get a loaner until somebody at Samsung elects to have our not quite one year old refrigerator deliver on its promise, keeping dairy and meat from souring prematurely, and making good ice.My 15 year old Amana did it quite well, seldom ran short and never failed to properly cool! It did not offer crushing or dispensing thru the door, but if Samsung cannot get those features right for 3 or 4 times the cost, maybe their future is in composting. I would love to discover the name and address of a responsible executive at Samsung and arrange for a second year med school student, with an interest in Proctology, to park this POS in an appropriate orifice! Is there a class action suit in process? IF SO, PLEASE SUPPLY DATA SO I CAN JOIN.
I bought a Samsung fridge (RFG296HDPN) from Lowes and the dispenser is not working right. It locks itself and then no matter how many times I try, it does not unlock, which means no cold water, crushed ice or whole ice. This panel will stay locked for a week or two and then unlock on its own. The lower drawer or crisper came cracked and one of the shelves where the ice maker is located has a thin line crack also. I work and have to take a full day for a repair and when I called them, they gave me a work order number. If they call back and I dont pick up, they cancel it, so I called in for another one. So I have two work orders, and they told me the repair person is waiting on parts. Now someone named Brittany says that its cosmetic and they do not do cosmetic. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they say I have to wait for an hour. A malfunctioning dispenser for me is not cosmetic, not on a $3,000 refrigerator that will be a year old in August. I have explained this over and over again when I called and when the technicians called now, they asked me if its locked, call then when it is. Well, I have on two occasions and they have not reacted. I wish they would put this on their refrigerators. If panel malfunctions, its cosmetic. I asked if there was a way to reset it and there is none but unplugging it which I have tried and it does not work. It will be two months that I have been trying to fix this. I will never buy another Samsung.
Purchased this microwave from Lowe’s in 2013. Broke this weekend after catching on fire internally. White plastic / electrical smoke filled our house. Luckily no other damage. If we were not in the kitchen however, the story could have been different. Contacted Samsung directly to see if they could help with repairs, or a discount towards a new Samsung microwave. The answer: No, we only warrant our appliances for 1 year. Anything past 1 year is the consumer’s responsibility. So my warning to anyone looking to purchase a Samsung appliance. Get the extended warranty, which is very expensive. Because after year 1, and your appliance breaks or causes damage to your home, Samsung will not help. Wonderful company.
We constructed a new home and purchased a full set of appliances made by Samsung and have had major regret with the decision. We purchased extended warranty and have had to use the services on most of them. We have now had to change to a different manufacturer of dishwasher that the warranty has just ended. Now the fridge door needs to be replaced as the lower shelf mount has broken and the mount is part of the entire door which has all the electronics integrated. The shelf above that one is broken as well. We just called Samsung support to ask for support prior to filing a complaint and they offer none, only a toll free number for parts. As a result of our experience we will never purchase another Samsung product. Completely dissatisfied.
Stuff will not stay cold. The ice maker doesn’t work. Food is constantly spoiling in fruit section. Food in the deli tray constantly freezes up and then has to be defrosted to eat, my warranty company refuses to replace the unit as they say they get too many complaints on it.
Three years after purchase my Samsung side by side completely quit. I contacted Samsung they told me I needed to purchase their protection plus extended warranty which I did. I have had nothing but hassles dealing with Assurant. There is no one in my city that will work on the unit. I have to bring someone from another city and pay travel time. I have done this three times now. I have been without a working unit since November 2014. Samsung built a lemon and they could care less about my hardship. I have spent over $800 in service fees and it still is not working. I will never buy another Samsung product again nor will I ever do business with Assurant insurance company again. I recommend you dont either!!!
The new hub refrigerator (with white glove service) plus black stainless double oven range plus ultra quiet black stainless dishwasher plus black stainless microwave plus Samsungs latest washer/dryer combo plus 55 inch Samsung ultra HD TV plus Samsung 65 inch ultra HD TV plus a Samsung S7 smart phone all to update our home and all purchased within one week. Oh, you are the first buyer of the Samsung Family Hub refrigerator and you wont believe the white glove service it comes with. White glove? They came out to measure the location and said no problem, all will fit. Second floor, no problem we have the greatest delivery team. Well, the exciting day comes. The delivery team says they will probably scratch the ref if they bring it upstairs but they will try anyway. Final measurement from the white glove guy, all good she will fit. The greatest delivery team bangs it up the stairs, hides the big and I mean big gauges they put in the cabinet with their moving belt metal buckets and guess what, it wont fit. We now have the white gloved Samsung Family Hub sticking half way into our kitchen posing nicely with the several gauges in the cabinet. No problem well take car of it. Two days pass no call from anyone. My wife finally calls the white glove VIP team and they cant help! You cant help, give me someone else. No hes right, we cant help. You will have to call the store you bought it from. You are kidding me, where was the VIP white glove treatment. Go to Sears, get a Kenmore. We are trying to return all this crap as we also discovered the dishwasher too has a big gauge on the top of the door hidden from us. Even if you have money to waste, flush it down the toilet and dont buy Samsung and be fooled like we were.
Bought this new Samsung Oven Range NE58F9500SS along with other new Samsung appliances after remodel the whole kitchen Dec 17 2017. And before we start making breakfast I went for run and thanks to God the rest of the family stay home in their rooms when smoke detector went off. They came out of the room to find out the range flame was coming out of the oven area (12/30/2017). My older son try open the door to put out the fire and oven door keep latch, neither stove nor over was used at the moment. Smoke started coming out of the control panel. My son was able to put up the fire by force door open enough to where he can used the fire extinguisher. We fortune enough. Thank God. If the house was empty the whole house could be lost. I cannot believe Samsung has not recalled this product. My hope is that someone doesnt have to die before something is done.
Model # RF28HMEDBSR/AA-07. I bought it in July of 2015. In 2017 I had to replace the entire water filtration system. In 2018, I had to replace the ice maker unit. It took well over 3 months for the repairman to get the part in. Now, I am sitting here writing this, so very frustrated as my refrigerator again needs a new ice maker unit. The back wall of the unit is coated in ice and in order to defrost, it must be done manually - I use a hairdryer. The drink dispenser is a constant drip of slushy water. You pay for a new product, you dont expect to pay the price again in repairs. This is a defective item! Never again - I will never buy any Samsung product!!
Bought all new Samsung appliances when we built our house. Stove worked well at first. Liked the rapid boil burner. Right after the extended Lowes warranty expired, the rapid boil burner would go crazy. It was insanely hot no matter what temp you set it on. Burned everything youd try to cook on it. Found the problem, replaced the part. Less than a year later both front burners are doing the same thing. Also used the self-clean oven, enamel came off very badly. Its so damaged I couldnt use it. Top and bottom of the oven look like someone took a grinder to it. Deep gashes. Flaking off. Since its on the top it falls into your food. Noticed today as we were pulling it out to replace with a new range, oven actually has a hole in the bottom. Very expensive Samsung fridge is already starting to freeze items in the back of the fridge. Will never purchase another Samsung appliance. Great TVs, horrible appliances.
We purchased a new home with a Samsung appliance package... In 3 months our dishwasher has only worked about a week total. It is broke again and it has been a nightmare trying to get a service person out here. Its still under warranty. They are refusing to help us. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING SAMSUNG... You will be a never ending nightmare!!!!
We have a Samsung refrigerator model number rf265abwp. The refrigerator started making a loud noise and temperature is about 55degrees, spoils the food in it. We called the customer service number to find a repairman and none in our area. It ices up in the back of refrigerator and water is under the cool select pantry door. The refrigerator costs a lot of money and now we cant have safe food. Dont know how we can afford a new one. We have been dealing with this for over 3 years. Started a month before warranty ran out.
The freezer is working... For now. We woke up this morning to warm milk. The refrigerator side is not working. Spending Sunday morning defrosting the whole back panel that is frozen up. This is totally unacceptable. My old refrigerator, a Kenmore, is in garage it has been working great for the last 10 years, not one problem ever. Its coming back in the house today.
The first error code (LC) happened about 4 weeks after install. A week wait for a tech, claimed no problem. Happened again about 5 weeks later. Again, no issue found. Happened again - replaced a part. Happened again. You get the picture. Sent a complaint directly to Samsung in May 2018 requesting replacement of faulty machine (Dishwasher 80M9 series). Was told they had only received ONE repair notice from us (we had logged in SEVEN at that point - since WE hadnt paid for any of the service calls, I have to assume Samsung did!). They sent someone out to repair AGAIN. Happened again in June. JUST had repair here to replace two parts - he was 5 minutes away from the house and it happened yet again. HORRIBLE company to deal with. This should truly be a no star review.
My Samsung fridge started having problems in year 2. It is defective. The icemaker freezes up & stops producing ice, it doesn’t keep food at proper temps. Fridge back panel also freezes. Customer support is not good.
I bought this dishwasher (Samsung DMT800RHS), though my second choice, a little over a year ago. I agree with the other comments I have read in terms of cleaning and the weird smell the dishwasher always has when you open the door. The icing on the cake is that this morning, the main wash pump has failed and I am just out of warranty. Im a single guy and only run the machine every three days or so. Really? This is completely unacceptable and there was no sympathy on the phone with Samsung customer support. Long and short of the story, dont waste $800 on this poorly designed, stinky piece of garbage. Time to switch back to Bosch!
About 6 months after purchasing and installing our OTR Samsung microwave, the popcorn setting began to burn up the bags of popcorn so we quit using that setting. Then roughly 8 months later (and after the warranty ran out) our microwave started to turn itself off and give an SE error message. After doing this for three or four times, the front panel just went out and never came back on regardless of our attempts to revive it.I went online and began to research the problem and it is very obvious that this is an inherent problem with Samsung OTR microwaves despite their previous top rating. And most of the reports state that the replacement costs are prohibitive and the replacement parts also malfunction. Now we are stuck with a $350.00 piece of junk and it is not even 1 1/2 years since the purchase! Planned obsolescence? I bought this microwave because it was highly rated and because it matched my other Samsung kitchen appliances. Oh well, I cant get my money back and it doesnt make any sense to repair it - so it goes to the landfill. Ridiculous! I wont buy another one, but I do wish that everyone knew about the issues with these microwaves prior to even considering this brand of microwave oven, especially because this is an ongoing problem and Samsung is well aware of it.
DW80f600uts - This dishwasher is a piece of crap. After a year or so of normal use, youll probably get a sensor error and itll stop working. To fix it, youll need to replace the sensor. Samsung customer service will be of little help, so youll have to do it yourself. The replacement sensor costs $40-$100, depending on where you live and who you buy it from. YouTube is filled with videos of how to fix this dishwasher, if thats any indication of how flaky it is. It looks nice, and its quiet. Those are the only good things I can say about it. The cleaning power sucks, and it deposits food on dishes. The drying cycle is a joke, as is the garburator or whatever the thing is called thats supposed to break down food (it doesnt). The dishwasher stinks after a day. There are many, many other dishwashers at the same cost that are much, much better than this one. Ours came with our house and its only two years old, so we fixed it instead of dumping it at the side of the road, which was what we really wanted to do. If/when it breaks again, were getting a Whirlpool. Save yourself the stress and avoid the hassle.
The Samsung French door refrigerator with pull out drawer and gobs of electronic features is a Lemon... Im extremely disappointed and feel ripped off! The ice maker drips water, freezes over, doesnt make ice and is expensive to repair. Samsung needs to recall their ice makers or buy back these very expensive, poorly made refrigerators! Dont buy!
I purchased a Samsung stove from Lowes and also purchase the extended warranty. One day the stove top glass made a pop sound and cracked open. I called the company for repair and they sent a technician over. The technician called the repair company and they decided, dont know based on what, that it is a functional and physical problem and therefore they would not repair it. I have had this stove for 4 years and have been using it according to guidelines. As I explained to the service company personnel Abigael as well as Lowes repair person Keaton, no physical damage was done to the stove glass top; however they still refused to do the repair. I have had GE glass stove top and I have family members and friends that have either Electrolux or kenmore and that does not just happened. This glass top obviously is defective and the company does not want to own up to it.
We had our Samsung fridge for 3 years in July and the compressor decided to fail, with the warranty expiring after 2 years. However, Samsung organized a repair agent to attend at a cost of $130 for an onsite visit to tell me it was the compressor and that it would be covered under warranty as the compressor has a 5-year warranty on it. That was great so they organized an agent to attend again (Samsung Plaza) to pick up the fridge, so I waited all day and they never showed up. Then the following week, they finally picked it up. After a week of them repairing the fridge, they delivered it back. They delivered it in the pouring rain, it was windy and they were in a rush. In such a rush, the truck door smashed the side of my fridge. As they brought it into my house, they scratched and dented my door on my house. They broke the wheel underneath the fridge and pushed it along my floor boards. They have now made a mess of my floors by denting the floor boards from my door all the way to where the fridge is located. When they left, I went to shut the door and noticed pieces of the fridge on the floor and as I looked down, I noticed the door on my house was damaged and the massive dents in my floor. I then contacted them straight away to tell them because by this stage, the delivery guys had driven off. I had a 3-month-old baby in my hand at the time. Thats why I hadnt followed them out. When I reported it, they were great and shocked about what had happened and were making a case of it.After many, many calls since 9th August 2012, they finally decided to approve they would repair the damage. I have spent time getting quotes for the door and my floor to be fixed and forward them on. I then had the owner of Samsung Plaza come out to view the damage and she advised she would send me a check for the door to be repaired but had someone she knew who would fix my floor. Since then I have again made many, many calls and emails and really havent got anywhere. I was advised a repair guy would come 31 October and had a call in the morning to cancel. I then told her that I had the painter coming out to repair the door and needed the check for payment and she advised she would send it in the mail. This has never been seen. I have contacted her chasing the check and the repair guy and always am told, Ill call you back. I have been pretty patient and its wearing very thin now after almost months of this. I need help on getting to the bottom of this. In the meantime, I have another Samsung agent attend to pick up and repair the broken wheel on my fridge.
Purchased my dream refrigerator/bottom freezer on 6/22/2018 for $1499.00 or so I thought. 2 months later freezer stopped working. Called Samsung every 7-10 days for over 2 months because they never called me back like they promised. As I waited the ice maker quit, then the refrigerator. I kept getting the runaround. I was so disappointed and one day when I called I cried, was told to email the office of the President at Samsung. I did - nothing - finally a representative from the office of the President named Linda called me back, gave me her personal phone extension #. Told me my order was approved & I had to wait another 10 days for a moving company to call me. When I checked my caller ID I realized she was calling from the same call center I had called from every week. They lie to their customers. 2 weeks later I finally got the call. On October 16th I received replacement. My first call was beginning of August! I will never ever buy another Samsung appliance. I hope this one holds up. I will be sick if I have to go through this process again.
I have a french door refrigerator and since day one its been a lemon. Below deli drawer collected ice and now for the 6th time the ice maker failed. Every time I call for service they say this is a known problem and you will have to live with it. I am tired and need a new refrigerator that I feel Samsung should supply me.
Samsung ref is the pits, I have replaced the control panel and the replacement has stopped working correctly. I have replaced the water inlet valves and now one of them is no longer working properly. The ice maker overfills and freezes the cubes in a giant lump. And all of this happens just after the warranty expired, of course. I owned a Samsung ref, stove, micro, dishwasher, washer and dryer - all are less than 7 years old. I have had to replace the dishwasher and washer and dryer. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance.
Apparently either Consumer Affairs OR Samsung does NOT want reviews of clothes washers as that is no longer a product which can be reviewed. Ours is 3 years old, sat in our basement for nearly a year from the time it was new until we finished our house. Only two people in the house, used once every two weeks. Lots of issues with not filling, not pumping water, not spinning. Samsung says Too bad. You should have paid even more than the $520 so we would fix that piece of crap....sucker!
We purchased a 2 door, 2 drawer Samsung refrigerator at a cost of approximately $4,000.00, 3 years ago. The fridge stopped working a few months ago. We had an appliance repair company that was referred to us by Home Depot for this brand. The circuit board was defective. Samsung stopped making that particular circuit board and refused a solution for the repair of our fridge. After checking out the Samsung service of parts for repair, we found out they do not support the repair companies with parts or solutions. Therefore we had to dispose of our 3 year old fridge and buy a new one for about the same cost. What happened to refrigerators that last 10 to 15 years??? I would caution anyone when it comes to Samsung refrigerators, BUY ANOTHER BRAND!!!
Samsung doesnt believe in customer satisfaction, they dont take responsibility of their faulty, defective products. Doesnt even bother to get it fixed even if its a safety hazard. Bought a gas cooking range year ago, gas is leaking from somewhere inside the oven. They have a worst customer service. They want customer to spend money on repairs, seems like, they are making money from there as well.
My first complaint with my fridge (RF217ACWP) is that the paint on the handles is peeling! I bought this (Samsung French Door Refrigerator) in 2012 and I called them in 2014 after warranty and told me they could not do anything that I would have to buy new ones, each one $230.00. Of course I didnt and they are still peeling!!! It looks like someone just took a hammer to it and chipped it off!! Also the 2nd complaint is freezing in refrigerator underneath vegetable drawers and water in the vegetable bins! Also, the ice maker is broken!! Just like everyone elses complaints! I hope something good comes out of the lawsuit for us consumers!!
Our Samsung RF26HFENDSR/AA French door with lower pull out freezer has repeatedly iced up around the fan, the coil and the vegetable/fruit drawers. I have replaced the tab that keeps the drain for the coil from freezing up and ensured that the drains were patent. I also checked to see that the fan was working...But it froze up again within two weeks. On review of literature, it may be that the heater is shot. There have been so many issues with this online, it would appear that this is a major design flaw. Samsung should address this and help the public out.. Trying to get help online from Samsung is very poor. I have multiple Samsung appliances, phones, watches, etc and if this is the way they are dealing with the public, they have lost me as a customer!
We purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator (no ice dispenser) a few years ago (It was built in 2011). We began to have problems with water/ice buildup under the cold storage tray since last Fall. We thought we must have spilled water in the refrigerator. It kept happening with increasing frequency. It became a weekly process to remove the cold storage tray and remove an inch of ice and water from the bottom of the refrigerator. It then became necessary to remove the water twice a week to prevent water from spilling out of the refrigerator all over the floor. Several members of my family started getting sick with what we thought was the stomach bug.We noticed that the refrigerator did not seem to be very cold although the temperature stated it was 34 degree until one night the temperature reading said 58 degrees! I called a repairman who told me the panel in the back was probably frozen and we would need to unplug the unit and wait at least 24 hours for the back panel to defrost. We began the process of throwing out food and found several moldy containers. We realized this was most likely the reason we were getting sick! We were being poisoned by our refrigerator! We immediately decided to throw it out and purchase another one! Having a refrigerator for only a few years and to have this happen, I will never buy another Samsung product again.
The Samsung is the worst appliance Ive ever purchased. The ice maker freezes up every two weeks and it is a known problem. I reported this problem and was told I would have to spend 485.00 to get it fixed. My fridge is now 2 1/2 years old. Samsung told me they would do nothing to fix the problem even though this a known problem. I would not buy any product from Samsung. Stay away for these products.
Defective refrigerator model RF267AEBP - Before I bought my Samsung 3 years ago, I researched the product and could not find any negative comments. Now my Twin Cooling system (that they advertise as something great) freezes the air vents in the refrigerator, causing the fan to stop working. Samsung customer service is a crappy as their refrigerators. I will never never ever buy anything made by this company again.
We bought our appliances from Lowes a little over 2 years ago. Our ref. the ice maker went out after a year and two months, cost too much to replace. Dishwasher wash glass and dishes about half clean. We would not buy anything of Samsung. We are not please at all with what we have. Look good but they are not what they should be.
My first dishwasher broke 4 months after it was installed. I spent 3 months waiting for it to get fixed or replaced. Samsung finally replaced it after they said they couldnt get the parts to fix it. 6 months after the new one was installed it broke and Samsung said that the warranty was over on the dishwasher but they would send a repair shop over to look at it at my cost. I would highly recommend that you stay away from Samsung dishwashers.
Purchased a Samsung oven June 5, 2016. Within 18 months the finish on the inside started peeling off. If you pull out the oven racks the finish is off, the bottom of the oven the finish is off. We paid $ 1700.00 for this oven and of course Samsung will not do anything, they say its cosmetic. Regardless if it is cosmetic or not an oven should last longer than 18 months, unless it is not meant to be used for baking or cooking. And of course if the powder coating is peeling then the cooking temp, will vary which it does, have hotspots. Samsung does not care about their customers, they sell crappy products. Now Im afraid to do the self-cleaning. Who knows what will happen.
I have a french door refrigerator, model RF197ACWP, that was purchased 6 years ago. In the past 2 years we have had it worked on for collecting water in the crisper drawers and water and ice on the bottom shelf. We have spent over $600 on repairs and the problem continues. I have read many reviews now with the same issue. Over the past 2 months, through numerous phone calls, I have spent around 4 hours on the phone with Samsung, trying to get some compensation. I have been giving inaccurate information, transferred to the wrong department, hung up on, put on hold and never returned to, been spoken to in a rude way and many other discouraging encounters. It felt as though they were purposefully trying to shake me from pursuing this issue! I have never felt so disrespected by a company. The last thing they told me is that I will be reimbursed part of the cost of the refrigerator, but they have not followed through on any of the steps yet, which they told me would be weeks ago! I am so discouraged by the product and customer service. I guess I will now be looking into signing up for a class action suit or whatever else can be done.
Omg, how I wish I had read the Consumer Affairs reviews before I bought my Samsung range. Consumer Reports DID not give it a bad review. I purchased all new appliances for my retirement home and price didnt matter. Love my Sears Elite Refrigerator and my Bosch dishwasher. However, I cannot say anything good about the Samsung slide-in electric glass cooktop! The glass top has several scratches beginning the first time I used it. It was installed the second week of March 2018 but wasn’t used until April because I was in Florida. This is my fourth cooktop. First was a Corning, second and third were General Electric. After using it for only two and one-half months I cannot believe the condition of the cooktop. The booklet says not to slide pans. I try not to, but of course you will slide a pan occasionally. I use the same cookware that I used on the others. I never had one scratch on any of my other three cooktops. Every time I use it I’m a nervous wreck worrying about scratching it. There is no reason to get another top because I do not want another Samsung. This is a very expensive mistake! And, I will be replacing it. I feel sorry for those who are stuck with their Samsungs because they can’t afford to replace them. Samsung ought to stick with televisions. I sure hope there is or will be a class action lawsuit. Extremely dissatisfied with Samsung range and it will be a relief to get rid of it!
I’ve had my fridge for about 8 years and so far have not had any major problems with the fridge. The only thing that had to be repaired was the ice maker that kept getting jammed. The fridge is a 4 door bottom freezer. It is a large capacity fridge. I have two teenage boys that eat a lot so the fridge is large enough to hold a lot of food and large freezer. I really like the large capacity since that is what I was initially looking for.
RE: Samsung refrigerator, Model # RF26J7500. We had the ice maker repaired as it was leaking and the ice was slushy. Ice would build up in the maker and had to be chopped out. The ice maker drawer sticks/freezes and is difficult to pull out. It is cracked. Items in the back of the refrigerator were also freezing. The repairman also fixed the wheels on the pull out drawer because they kept falling off. The drawer has never worked correctly. The cover is cracked, it sicks and rubs against the plastic on the sides. This is causing white shavings and dust particles. This is a huge concern as it is a SAFETY HAZARD. The dust and shavings are getting on items in our refrigerator. Ingestion of this plastic is obviously toxic. In addition, we have two cracked door bins. I called Samsung today. After being told the drawer and bins are not covered, I asked for a supervisor. The associate came back on the phone and stated the supervisor also said it is not covered. I asked again to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold again. The associate came back on and stated they would replace the broken items. I requested my concerns be documented well, and reiterated my disbelief that Samsung has not recalled this refrigerator. Both the store I purchased the refrigerator from and the repair technician stated that Samsung refrigerators are notorious for these issues and they receive continual complaints from Samsung customers.
Samsung refrigerator RFG297AABP - I purchased my refrigerator from Lowes in late 2008... Since new the ice maker has been more trouble. Nine, yes NINE new ice maker units since new. And now the ninth one is dead... I have spend over $1000.00 on a $3000.00 refrigerator, just have ice. To make matters worse, the front door under the ice maker has more rust, from the leaking ice maker, than a 30 year old ship rusting at sea. As a single father of four girls, money is tight and we can no longer budget a thousand plus dollars for ice! I can not recommend to anyone a Samsung product ... that continues to cost this much after purchase... and at seven years, is rusted so bad. Whatever happened to pride in the products that are produced?
Ever since we bought the fridge it does not COOL properly, especially during the summer. We purchased the fridge in 2013. We’ve replaced several parts since then. Its hard to get a hold of someone from customer service. We are extremely upset because we spent $2,000 for a fridge that doesnt work & for that price we expect it to work properly. We also bought a used fridge for $175 & it works better than the darn Samsung. (>﹏
I have had my Samsung stove in my house for 9 weeks and have had two different service requests during that time. After a month the entire top stopped working. No burners. It was repaired and I was thankful. 7 weeks into the use of my stove, I turned on the oven and after 5 or so minutes smoke started billowing from it and a terrible burning smell filled the air. There was nothing in my oven at the time and the smoke was actually coming from the back. With the assistance of my husband I pulled the stove away from the wall to see flames pouring out the back of my stove. We got it unplugged and the flames out. Had I not been in the room at the time, my kitchen would have gone up in flames. It has been two weeks since that incident and I still do not have stove. Samsung came across as caring at the beginning and sent a service technician, but they will not respond to me anymore. The service technician recommended a replacement of my stove but Samsung issued a repair order. Samsung connected me to someone in management via email, but they won’t acknowledge my concerns or even respond to my emails. It is an absolutely terrible product, and terrible customer service. This was my first and last Samsung appliance purchase. Do not buy this stove.
One of the worst appliances I ever bought. Samsung over the range w/ hood model SMH1816S. First microwave in 30 years I ever had to have repaired. And customer support on an issue with it was horrendous, and then non-existent. I recommend anyone considering this unit to finish off their kitchen matched set of other Samsung products forgo aesthetics and get something else. First, as others have stated on other review sites, the control panel is awful. It is hard to read and the buttons are set in such a way (presumable to keep someone from pushing a button unintended with cleaning the panel) that you have to press very hard in exactly the right spot. No feel and go with this unit. The food, in spite of the revolving turntable, does not heat evenly. The stainless steel, for some odd reason, is difficult to clean (exterior). We have had other stainless steel appliances from other companies that cleaned easily. Then, a short time after warranty expired, the unit failed to work. It turns out some of the factory work was not done well on the circuit board and a loose connection caused a short and burned out the primary microwave making unit. The dealer told us it was out of warranty, (barely) so we had it repaired, then one of their repair people said it was a defect, not a warranty issue and I should contact Samsung. Samsung used every excuse in the book, and finally said something along the lines of policy does not allow us to ever pay out of pocket expense, regardless of the cause or situation. End of story, end of Samsung. Later, a salesperson told me they have had numerous complaints about the unit. Samsung TVs are great. We thought the refrig, range, dishwasher, microwave would be good, too. Not happy with the other units, but at least they work. But I will never own another Samsung appliances!
I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 18 months ago at Lowes for $2000.00 and it was a french door fridge. It stopped getting cold so I got on Samsung website and found a repairman at The Appliance Doctor. They sent a man out and he looked at the fridge and said it is not worth fixing. It needs a computer and two other parts. He continued to say Samsung are junk and it will break again. I then called another well known appliance repair center and they also told me that they do not work on Samsung products. They stated they cant get parts for them. So then I contacted Samsung and that was like talking to my dog. Very unhelpful. I went out and replaced this a Whirlpool.
I purchased a Samsung electric convection range. The 2 front burners do not regulate the heat properly thereby burning/over cooking my food! Very dissatisfied with the performance as I cook daily! Low is High! If you want to simmer your soup, forget it! How can a manufacturer expect you to deal with inconsistent heat elements? Must be a systemic problem. After reading other reviews needs to be recalled! How do we get a recall done?
When I purchased my Samsung refrigerator, at the time was the number 1 rated refrigerator of its type. From early on, I had started having troubles with the lower ice maker plastic parts breaking off. The service tech said that this was a common problem. Later we started having issues with the upper unit not cooling. Again I had a service tech come out only to tell me that the Twin Cool Plus system is another common problem. I was told to empty my refrigerator and turn it off for 24-48 hours to allow the unit to defrost. Or I could use a blow dryer and try to speed up the process. Is this what it has come to?? I called on several occasions to discuss what they would do to solve the Twin Cool Plus problem, and all they wanted to do is to send another service tech at my expense to look at the refrigerator. Nothing ever gets resolved, nor do they seem to care.
I have a three-year-old Samsung side-by-side fridge that cost me $1000. Suddenly last month, it started to make a noise like a motorboat. I didnt think that a fridge less than 3 years old should be having issues, as I have had many refrigerators that lasted me 15 years or more with no repairs needed. None were Samsung. Well, I called Samsung and they were not willing to do anything for me. I had to call and ask for a supervisor who was not willing to make any concessions. Finally, after telling me multiple times that the fridge is out of warranty, she says she will pay for the parts but I had to pay for the installation myself.I am on a fixed budget and the repairman, theirs, wanted $250.00 to do the job. My son can do it for me for free - all we needed was the part. So I asked them to send me the parts then for free as they offered, but she said no, I HAD to use their service people or it would void the warranty. What warranty? Didnt you just tell me 5 times that I was out of warranty? She said it would void the warranty. This is a runaround and I am looking to find out if anyone else is having this problem with their fridge. The evaporation coil freezes up on the fridge side, and I was told I needed a Temperature Defrost sensor. I found one locally and am going to install it myself, but I had to make twenty phone calls in order to find one. The part costs $11!! Rip off company, lousy products and poor customer service. Dont ever buy a Samsung fridge!
At what point does a company read these and take action? Purchased Family Hub French Door 2.5 months ago. Freezer failed, lost everything, missed 4 half days of work dealing with 3rd party service companies who didnt know what was wrong or how to fix it. 14 calls with Samsung service department. 12 emails, in the meantime ice machine failed and now the upper fridge area failing. At $2,499 youd think they would care/value the experience and take action, but were on day 38 and still waiting for a remedy. I stood at Home Depot and personally persuaded 7 customers not to buy this fridge and they listened. Your ** product and service cost me lost wages and time during failed service calls so I figured Im only halfway to the break even point of costing you fridge sales. And I realize nobody in your service department gets paid enough to care, but hopefully someone in your product management and marketing team care enough to read reviews.
I bought this expensive Samsung 4 door refrigerator from Sears in 2012. The ice maker is the worse. Within 3 month it stopped making ice. Sears came to repair. This replaced the ice maker. It started working 2 month later stopped. Replaced all mechanism starts working again. 8 months later stopped again, replaced again 3rd time. 1 year later out of warranty. Called Samsung. They refused to do anything about it. Called local appliance dealer, had it replaced $595. Broke again within in 2 months. I looked up this refrigerator and not only this one, but other Samsung units have had many problems with the ice maker and Samsung is doing nothing about it. I would not buy this refrigerator or any Samsung if I was you. It was a $4,000 cost with no ice. They have terrible products.
Your new water filter model SAMSUNG REPLACEMENT AQUA-PURE DA29-00003G will NOT work in my refrigerator. The 3rd groove you have added will not screw in. No matter how hard I try to twist it in. No matter how hard a handy man I had to pay try to get it in there. No matter how hard your authorized Samsung repair service tried to twist in there. PLUS THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME $65 to not do ANYTHING. Is this a marketing tactic for me to buy a new refrigerator? I had spent 2 days talking with your customer service, your parts department, your repair service. I have been told the G series is compatible, just apply more pressure. Enough that I am about to break it is my response? I have been told by your authorized serviceman that I have the wrong part. Then he turns around and says there is only filter that size that Samsung makes. Duh... I have gone to 3 different stores and bought the same filter, getting the same results. (As everyone has Samsung’s revised G series water filter.) I have a working refrigerator with a working water filter housing that will not accept your “new” “G” series water replacement filters. I have to now find the older SAMSUNG REPLACEMENT AQUA-PURE DA29-00003F. Your company needs to address this situation as it is purely ridiculous to have your consumers be subjected to the degree of difficulty that I have had recently trying to pay the way overpriced amount (which I will pay because I love the quality of water it produces). YOU NEED TO REMEDY THIS SITUATION VERY SOON.
I just purchased new Samsung double door fridge, installed it just to find out that its not working, Have been calling the customer service for a month. With no results. Every time I call they create or come up with another issue. I should have had it installed by professional and went through the steps of restarting and all that for 2 weeks just to find out that they need to send out a technician. Which I told them that in the very beginning, compressor is not working, brand new unit, piece of **. You pay for ** piece of **and they dont even help you, a ** joke, thats how I can describe my Samsung experience. Never ever will I buy Samsung. And whoever is reading this, dont buy it, cause in case it doesnt work you are stuck with it. I need a fridge not technicians coming through for 2 months, I told the customer service that I need a working fridge now its been a more than a month without one, all he can tell me that he can send 2nd tech to take a look at it, if thats a customer service??? Its a ** joke... Huge mistake. Never again Samsung...
We too should have done better homework before purchasing a Samsung refrigerator. We purchased this model after a kitchen remodel project almost 4 years ago; what a mistake. It has been a nightmare owning this refrigerator. We have gone through 3 technicians from the same repair company and am currently writing this review waiting for the 4th tech. to show. Every tech. so far has confirmed the same problem each time; icing up around the fan blade area causing terrible loud noises until the fan seizes up and stops; causing the fridge section to not cool anymore. We have given up with the ice maker not working sometimes and just use bagged ice now. Like others seem to be facing; Samsung seems to refuse there could be an engineering problem with their product. We are planning on looking for a new (non Samsung) product after this 4th technician de-ices the fridge again. Samsung has not just yet figured out how to make a long lasting cooling unit; or maybe they dont want to?
Bought refrigerator 1-13-2012.. IN 2014 AUG, Nov, and March 2015 have had the same problem. Back of refrigerator freezes up and water drains into refrigerator. I have called Samsung. I need to fax and or email times I have had it worked on. I did all of that, which I faxed and email because they couldnt read some of them. I have tried contacting them again my email. No response, 2 or 3 times. They told me I had to have it done within 24 hours. I did. Still no response by email or phone call. Not a happy camper.
I purchased my side by side fridge, model #RH25H5611SR/AA in October 2016. Mid July I noticed my fridge temp blinking. Got the manual to reset and it stated that because the temp has been changed it would take a moment for the blinking to stop. So, left it alone and when I awoke no more blinking. Two days later, July 18, 2016 the refrigerator temp is blinking again. This time I make a call to Samsung but now the now is set and no longer blinking; two days later after this it starts to blink again and I make a call to Samsung again on July 20, 2016. Im told to unplug or disconnect the power from the unit; I do this but when plugged in 2-3 minutes later the blinking has stopped but now my temp for the refrigerator is reading 61 degrees Fahrenheit. I give this info to the customer service rep who tells me that this is okay and that the temp will drop and to use the fast cool function. Now I got my first service call number on the 18th and at that time provided all the necessary information to the representative. On the 20th I asked if a new service call number would be given and was told that it wasnt necessary, the first service number was still valid. Anyway, the following morning the refrigerator is still reading 61 degrees. I call Samsung customer service on July 21, 2016, give this customer service rep the whole story from beginning to end only to be asked for the serial & model numbers. This info should have been in my file as it was given on July 18th. Anyway, once this info is provided again this individual wants to send me through all the troubleshooting steps I have already taken. When I explain that these things have already been completed with no resolution he wants to tell me that I will be responsible for charges if a technician is sent out. To say the least I explain once again to this individual that the troubleshooting has already taken place and it didnt work and I need a technician. He complies but now it will take 24-48 hours before I will be contacted. Was contacted by the service tech on Sunday evening that I had to be available between the hours of 12pm to 3pm. I get a call that the tech is running late and will arrive after 3pm. He arrives & checks out the unit. He turns to me and states that I need a new compressor. He goes on to say that this is a regular problem with this particular unit. The part has to be ordered and will take approximately 3-5 days for delivery and then they will contact me for repairs. My question is has anyone else had this problem? Is there a recall? Again, the technician stated that this is a common problem. I purchased my appliances at hhgregg and got the whole suite to include dishwasher, range & microwave. Was told that this was the top of the line appliance package. I also have Samsung washer & dryer (Home Depot). Did a little research prior to purchase but mostly price comparison but I apparently missed this site. Had I read all these reviews prior I would not have purchased all these Samsung appliances. Praying that my products dont fail but will definitely obtain some type of extended warranty to protect myself. It wont be Samsung.
I bought this fridge on May 31, 2010. The fridge freezes up, and the icemaker wont work; error codes that wont reset and Lowe’s can’t do anything about it. As far as Samsung customer service, good luck! Nobody answers. Also, I bought a Samsung Washer and Dryer. I already had to replace the heating element and it’s not even two years old. Stay away from Samsung altogether.
We have had this Samsung range NX58H5650WS for 2 years and 2 of the front knobs have snapped off. The company said they would be happy to let us buy two more, at a ridiculous cost. However they would just be the same cheap plastic knobs that will break again. Also, the middle griddle sounds like a good idea but you cant use any of the elements when you are using the griddle.
This Samsung twin cooling plus is the worst refrigerator ever! Every 5-6 months you have to shut down and defrost it, it freezes up like the refrigerators did back in the 50s! You have to take the whole back of the refrigerator apart to get the coil to defrost which is about 8-10hrs of defrosting! I would never recommend spending 1800.00 for this piece of garbage! They tell me that it is a common problem but offer no fixes! You think for the money spent they would help! But NO.
Still waiting over a year for glass part on top of the stove. Also the oven heated so slow and inconsistency. I set it up at 350 but it heated up to 200 so its not reliable. Regarding to the glass part, the tech guy said it is only 2 made in our USA. We are waiting so long and dont know whats going on. Even though we have extended warranty on it. Any questions, contact me as Im living in parents in law home. Their name is Melvin and Shirley Harvey. TIA.
I have only had this refrigerator (Model Rs2530BSH) for 5 years. It started giving me problems in the 2nd year. Now, it is completely out. It is hard to get anyone to work on this piece of trash and the parts are very hard to find. Once I found the parts on the internet, I was told the main part was on back order (the main circuit board) because of high demand. That is a shame. No part to a refrigerator should be in high demand. That means it is a manufacturer problem and it should have been recalled. This is frustrating and costly. Everyone who purchased this piece of junk should receive some type of reimbursement.
This is a family of two and The freezer of my Samsung has broken twice in four years and we hardly use it. The outside paints is chipping and the technician told me that is consider cosmetic so is not warranty. I will never buy samsung appliances again and definitely not from Best Buy.
I hate my refrigerator. It leaks water into vegetable drawers and freezes into sheets of ice an inch thick. Sorry I did not read reviews and see that this is a common problem with no support from the company. Next time I will read reviews. Anyone reading this PLEASE consider another company.
We bought a Samsung RS275 side by side refrigerator in March 2010. From the start, the ice maker was completely inadequate and could not keep up with a family of four. In July 2011 water started accumulating in the bottom of the refrigerator and freezing the lower vegetable bin. We found that the defroster drain hole was freezing closed with ice, thereby not allowing the defroster to drain properly, hence it ended up on the floor of the refrigerator. I managed to extend a piece of copper wire into the hole (it was heated from the defroster heating coil) and that solved the problem for a couple of years. Keeping the hole open. The problem reappeared in the Spring of 2014 and weve been trying to fix it ever since. Also, the water dispenser line continues to freeze. I will never buy another Samsung refrigerator.
Whatever you DO NOT buy Samsuck appliances. I am on my 5th ice maker and second control board and no ice. Customer service makes Comcast look like the Catholic church, they are a joke. All they do is apologize and say they have the same refrigerator with no problems. Yeah right. If you are in the need for appliances run as far from Samsuck as you can.
I bought a new fridge five days ago, with a lower freezer, model RF4287HARS. It was plugged in by the delivery tech and set to specific settings. The same day, water began to build in the vegetable bin. We cleaned it and shortly afterwards, moisture was building up. Samsung is lame at acknowledging fault and the extended warranty is quick to remind me that the manufacturer warranty is in effect. I will drop this pretty, but lame product made by Samsung, in the store today.
My kitchen was in desperate need of a makeover so I decided to purchase all new products from Sears and selected Samsung. I so wish that I would have checked with Consumer Affairs first before purchasing (3) Samsung products in 2013 - all of which have had issues. I purchased a double door black refrigerator, a black microwave as well as a black gas range. My refrigerator from day one has had issues with the ice maker not making ice and the refrigerator temperature not working properly. The worst product of all was the microwave oven that caught fire while I granddaughter was cooking a hotdog on a paper plate. The plate caught on fire. There were sparks and flames literally shooting from the microwave. I didnt purchase the extended warranty on the microwave because my experience with good microwaves is that they simply stop working after about 6-7 years. They dont catch on fire! I paid $329 for the microwave and Samsung wanted to charge me $325 for the repairs and continue to give me the run around. The matter is still not resolved. So if you are reading this review... save yourself the trouble. Please do not purchase any Samsung product!
Going on a month without a working ice maker. TWO service calls because it had ice build up (4 times total but 2 that we handled) and they admitted that this model had faulty units. They said they would give us $ to purchase a new fridge but it would end up costing us about $800 out of pocket because we bundled the whole kitchen and got an amazing deal/interest. Now, I have bagged ice taking up freezer space and they arent returning calls. I tried to write a review on Amazon but I guess they are having too many complaints and it wouldnt post. I will NEVER get Samsung again, but our entire kitchen is Samsung and less than a year old. Were stuck :/
I purchased the entire black stainless kitchen set Refrigerator, Stove, Dishwasher, and Microwave. After 3 week of use on the stove my wife made corn on the cob, she did her normal way of making the corn of a large pot to boil the corn in. Well some of the water boiled over which is a normal thing that happens when cooking. We didnt think too much of it since we have been cooking on a glass top stove for over ten years with our old Ignis Stove. My wife went to clean the top the next morn and she found where the water boiled over the glass pitted or pop little holes in the top.Samsung is denying our claim say it is do to Wear and Tear. Are you kidding me!!! Wear and Tear. When the appliances came in we found that the freezer pull out door has a small crease in it and had to have this order from the company we purchased the appliances from. Well five weeks later still no replacement door. It is really sad because I have always enjoyed using my other Samsung products and have been buy Samsung for over 36 years now. Well they (Samsung) just lost one of their best customers!!!
I bought this refrigerator/freezer, Model # RF26XAEPN43FE4BZ100091T, in latter part of March or early April 2010. The refrigerator stopped cooling on Thanksgiving evening. I had to rent a refrigerator to store all of my leftover food. Plus the other items I had in the refrigerator. It was under warranty. The repairman didnt come until the next week. It was frozen in the back. It was repaired and two other times the same thing happened. When the warranty ran out, I gave up on having it fixed. It began to freeze all of vegetables and fruits. Also, anything liquid. I called Samsung Tuesday 5/02/2017. I was told that I would have to have a technician come out and assess the problem. I called again on 5/03/2017. Silly me I thought that they were going to cover the $125.00 for the tech. I proceeded to question the person that I was talking to. He kept putting me on hold, because he could not answer my questions.I finally asked if I could send a letter or speak to someone who could authorize payment for the tech and the repairs. I was told that my appliance was out of warranty. I already knew that. The phone person told me someone higher up will contact me. The odds of that happening are less than one out of a trillion. My icemaker does not work. The door freezes; I stopped messing with it. I just wanted to vent my frustration, so now I have. I will never buy another Samsung product. I have been unable to locate my receipt; I bought the product at Lowes in Newport News, VA.
We bought a Samsung Model No. RF263BEASER 25.6 Cu. Ft. Refrigerator from Best Buy in Denver area in June 2013. The ice maker was OK initially but started giving trouble later. In Dec 2014, we had to call the Samsung repair service company (A & E Factory Service Thornton, CO) to make the ice maker work. The service company told us the Ice maker needed to be replaced. It is costing me $466 to get a new ice maker installed. This has never happened to me before with a refrigerator. I think the quality of the refrigerator is inferior and I will not recommend it at all.
Have a Samsung side by side frig model RF23J9011SR. Had work under the manufacture warranty done and also several times under the extended warranty and still the ice maker leaks water and freezes up all the time. Contacted Samsung service and was told I need to go to the place which sold me the appliance to resolve the issue, which was Lowes. I was told by Lowes I need to contact Samsung. So now I am going back to Lowes.
My dishwasher, another model Samsung (they all seem to have similar issues), worked great first 6-8 months. Then would shut off and need to be restarted every few loads. Then every load, eventually several times for each load. Dishes were not clean, but covered in tiny particles of crud. Started to smell, with black gunk around front seals. Had to remove spray arms and filter to clean them out which appeared to resolve the multiple starts issue, but even after cleaning the seals, not the dirty wet dog smell. Began pre-washing everything before loading, to the point that a dishwasher was somewhat redundant. Dishes came out dirtier than they went in, requiring rewashing. Handle grips on front of racks began degrading and uprights on racks started breaking off. Within three months the multiple starts per load started again, and quickly reached the point of not running at all. Dismantled again, also cleaning out float on side of machine under metal panel. Took off handle grips which were leaving a sticky residue on anything (including hands) that touched them. Crud stuck under there too. Job took over an hour. A repairman may have done it faster, but the only $ I will resentfully sink into this clunker now is the dump fee.Its not yet two years old, does not clean dishes, is falling apart, and smells disgusting. It needs about an hours work outside the cabinet every few months to clean out minor amounts of well rotted compost that it is incapable of disgorging on its own. And it still smells like a dirty wet dog. I think these machines might be a health hazard in addition to being utterly useless. Will never buy a Samsung appliance again. They should stick to phones.
Samsung dishwasher purchased just over a year ago to replace a dishwasher that we had for over 14 years. The Samsung dishwasher never did work properly. After numerous in-house service calls, replacement of the electrical board and very difficult to understand foreign tech advisors the dishwasher still did not work properly. Now, just having called again Samsung informed me that the washer is now out of warranty. Samsung? Never ever again.
Model # RH25H5611SR/AA purchased April 2016 $1244 (tax/delivery). Nothing but problems starting right after 1 year warranty expired. Repairs are now out of warranty. Replaced temp sensor on fridge side, but coils continue to ice over and internal temp will not get above 50 F even though display says otherwise. Keep getting 2 error codes: 21 C, 22 C. Refrigerator side started malfunctioning 6 months ago and now freezer side. Now icemaker will make ice and then melt a few days later. Such a disappointment and customer Service Department has been no help. Rip off!!
I purchases a Samsung dishwasher in February 2010. It was a lemon from the start. It washed poorly and was often in need of repair. The motor died after less than four years. I could have bought another dishwasher with all the money spent on repairs. Please take my advice. Buy Samsung TVs but not Samsung dishwashers.
Defective from day one. Zero customer service or support, even when I contacted the office of the President... Nothing but corporate scripted run around. My new top of the line Samsung dishwasher was a complete waste of time and money. I bought a Bosch and took a complete loss on a bad out of the box Samsung. Samsung should be ashamed.
We redid our kitchen in August 2012 and purchased three Samsung products - a stove, a refrigerator and a dishwasher. This review is about the dishwasher. Ive already submitted a review about our stove. We purchased our Samsung dishwasher, Model #DMT 300RFS/XAA in August 2012 for $515. Our first repair was on 22 Jan 2014, the float level sensor had to be replaced, and the cost was $208.21.The next problem happened on 6 May 2015. The case sensor and brake have to be replaced and the cost will be $316.24. If we have this repair done, and we wont, this substandard appliance will have cost us $515 (original cost) + $524.45 (2 x repairs) = $1039.45. Note: the repairs alone total more than the cost of the dishwasher. Weve now got a 225 lb. paperweight in our kitchen.
Purchased a Samsung dishwasher 3 years ago and have made 4 service calls regarding the same error code (9E). The first service call was covered during the warranty period. The second time (only a month after warranty expired) my persistent complaints were transferred to the Office of the President. The person I spoke to was rude, refused to let me speak to his supervisor and suddenly pretended that we had a bad connection and he could no longer hear me and hung up. Very unprofessional. I will NEVER purchase another Samsung product again. Samsung Buyers Beware!!!
I bought Samsung dishwasher and a Samsung refrigerator. A little after a year our dishwasher went out. Samsung sent out a repairman. It cost us a little over $200.00 dollars to get fixed. A few months later it stopped working again. Decided to get rid of the dishwasher. The icemaker and the fridge part of our refrigerator stopped working. Samsung referred us to Service Quick to repair it. The serviceman told us the ice maker will need to be replaced and to fix the fridge he will need a sensor. The cost would be $900.00 and $200.00 service call. I called Samsung again and they do nothing for people who buy their products. DO NOT BUY ANY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS. We decided to buy another refrigerator. NOT A SAMSUNG!
The size is bit small otherwise it is a great refrigerator. The counter depth ones are little problematic, I used to have Whirlpool and it was awesome as it has all the requirements and looks also great.
Purchased full kitchen suite August 2016. The only unit we havent had to have repairs on is the range. The refrigerator is the worst of all. On our third repair the unit doesnt defrost properly which causes ice build up and the fan motor freezes. This in turn causes the unit to run at 50 degrees F. So not only are we several hundred into repairs were out several hundred in spoiled food. Appropriate that its Halloween cause the nightmare just wont stop.
Bought a Samsung over-the-range microwave from Sears. It came damaged with some dents. We figured it wasnt a big deal, we had waited months and went through a lost order hassle with Sears just to get the microwave, so we accepted what we got and installed it. Within a week of using the microwave, it started making a loud, screeching noise whenever we used it. We contacted Sears and were routed over to Samsung.Samsung said they cant replace/refund the microwave because you have to report damage within 48 hours of receiving the microwave. Good to know for the future, but I wont be buying from them ever again. This has been an almost 4 month back-and-forth between me, Sears, and Samsung. They are willing to send out a repairman to try and fix the loud sound, but they wont do anything about the exterior damage to the microwave. They gave me a service order number for the repair service and advised I call them to make an appointment so they can see about fixing the noise. I called the repair service and found out... oh, they dont service microwaves anymore. So now I have to call back Samsung and start the process all over again. I will never again buy a Samsung, not a fridge, not a microwave, not a TV or a phone. Never again. Same goes for Sears. At this point Im considering eating the cost of the microwave and throwing it out just so I dont have to deal with them anymore.
We own a beautiful top of the line 4-door Samsung refrigerator which we’ve had for one year. Our ice maker began making “wet, soft ice” and the ice maker poured water into a cup whenever we made ice... Plus, the ice maker leaked into the inside of our refrigerator. When we exercised our extended warranty, we learned that this model was recalled for a faulty ice maker! Yet, Samsung never had the courtesy to send out a recall letter. Now we need to wait several weeks for the part to arrive and were told that we need to empty the refrigerator and freezer two days prior to the repair and keep it off and empty for 2 days post repair to allow the epoxy to dry! How shameful that such an excessive amount of money is charged for a poor, inexcusable refrigerator. DON’T BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS!!!
My fridge works fine so far, but Im getting scared reading the other reviews. Our problem so far has been with the water filter. The ones carried by Lowes dont work in our fridge and cant get them anywhere else without ordering online and risking it being the wrong filter. Believe it or not, the notches on one part of the filter are different from the ones carried by Lowes. So far Samsung has said that the filter from their website, which will cost me more money because of shipping charges, is the one that works. Yeah, well see. They just dont seem to care, either Lowes or Samsung.
I purchased this refrigerator 18 months ago. After eight months I had to call Samsung because the problems began. The freezer was not working properly and it was making weird noises. The technician came and change everything in the freezer compartment. Today, a year later the fridge compartment does not work. I called Samsung and because the warranty expired they offer me an ONE-time warranty to fix the problem. Honestly, I think this problem is going to continue until a get ready of this refrigerator and buy a new one which by the way I still owe money to Brandsmart. I read a lot of this on the internet and there are thousands of people with the same problem. It looks like Samsung is making disposable refrigerators that last less than a year before they broke out. I am a single mother and this is not fair. I asked Samsung in the beginning to replace the refrigerator and they say not because it was fixable. All my appliances are Samsung and I am very scared that pretty soon everyone is going to break down.
Approximately 14 months after purchasing a Samsung french door refrigerator (Model #RF28HMEDBSR) the ice maker froze up and stopped working. It had to be manually defrosted (frost and ice removed). This issue occurred every 2 to 3 weeks. We trusted Samsung and did not purchase an extended warranty. A call to the service center revealed that any cost for service provided would have to be paid for by myself. A research of this equipment failure revealed hundreds, if not thousands, of similar complaints and unresolved issues. I continued to manually defrost the ice maker but the issue remained. We are now making ice cubes in ice cube trays.
Besides the problem we are having with Samsung refrigerator, customer service department is a nightmare, in 10 days they called me to send same document that I already sent. Every time I called, I was given different information. I really dont know which one is true now.
Ive had this fridge for a little over two years. The water keeps going under the drawers and forming ice sheets that make it impossible to open the drawers. Very loud noise coming from the back.
I purchased a Samsung rf267aers refrigerator 12/01/09. The issue with this unit is the following. We the owners of this unit all (have) the same problem. Lousy design of defrost system allows the defrosted water to freeze in the discharge tube so it overflows into the lower platform under the pull out shelf. When it freezes, it freezes the roller wheel on the bottom of the shelf in the layer of ice and it wont move until you defrost the fridge to the point it releases. There are YouTube videos of how to defrost the coils but Samsung has known about this forever and wont fix it.So every month I remove the bottom tray and remove the built up ice slab. Now I have called samsung several times. Samsungs directions defrost the refrigerator. But even that process DO NOT solve the problem. ONCE unit was turned on again the SAME problem returned. I once inquired to samsung tech people how much it would cost me to fix the problem $700-$800 with NO GUARANTEE. BUT THEY WOULD put the old parts back. Of course I would have to pay for the labor for the install and removal that was about $165-320. Samsung bad NEWS.
After 9 months of owning the refrigerator the refrigerator side stopped working. After a few days it turned back on, then it again turned off. The freezer side was still working with no problems. As soon as I was going to replace it, it turned on.
We purchased a Samsung French-door refrigerator two years ago. After the first year, water started accumulating beneath the lower drawer and freezing, making the drawer increasingly hard to slide in/out. I have emailed Samsungs customer service department twice with specific details of the issue (model#, serial#). I have gotten zero reply except for spam marketing messages, since they now have my email address. We finally called their local authorized service (Asian-owned) and described the problem, and they immediately knew the fix -- a defective water valve on rear of refrigerator. They offered to repair it but the cost would be over $200. If this is a part that fails regularly, Samsung should issue a recall instead of sending us advertisements to buy more of their inferior-quality appliances.
Samsung’s idea of customer service is “3 – 5 business days and someone will call you”. At this point we have been without a functioning refrigerator (I consider a refrigerator to be a basic need in this day and age) for 14 days! The specifics are below: A service tech was sent to ‘fix’ the problem one week after we first reported the problems to Samsung. The fix/part replacement (2 different parts were tried) did not correct the problem. The Tech talked with Samsung’s technical support from our home and said, My office will call you on Monday (9 days after the report to Samsung). On Wednesday (11 days after the report to Samsung) the same tech is back with a 3rd different part. Still not the answer. At this point, it is determined that we need a whole new refrigerator (current unit is only 6 months old). The Tech entered a ticket into the system AND once again it is 3 – 5 days before someone will call us. Not, 3 – 5 days and you will have a new refrigerator – NO, 3 – 5 days and someone will talk with you about what can be done. Now it has been exactly 14 days since our Samsung refrigerator has worked. Still we have not received a call from anyone from Samsung regarding the solution to our problem. This was my first Samsung refrigerator; it will be my last.
Our family made a BIG mistake purchasing 3 Samsung refrigerators of the past couple of years. All 3 of them have ice maker issues & water leaking from the bottom from the water line. My advice is don’t buy a Samsung refrigerator! They are complete garbage product!
My ice maker and water dispenser has not been working for 9 months. The repair technicians seem to not be able to repair and the refrigerator has just about been rebuilt with parts. Still isnt working. Repair technician came out today and ordered 6 more parts. Same ones that have been replaced. The warranty company denied replacement. They would rather pay all that money for parts for same issues. I am so frustrated to have a expensive refrigerator that doenst work and seems it cant be repaired.
I purchased a Samsung microwave when we were re-doing our kitchen. I wanted a nice upper-end unit with a good fan so I got the Samsung SMH9187ST with a 5-speed fan that had plenty of CFMs to do the job. After approximately 2 years, I got an SE code on the LED read out and the unit stopped working. Nothing worked on the unit including the light; all buttons were dead. After contacting Samsung @ 1-800-726-7864 they informed me that there had been some problems with the Control Pad and that they would replace the control pad at no charge. Sounds good? What’s the problem? After four days, I was informed by Samsung that they have no authorized Samsung techs in my area and they couldnt send the replacement part to anyone other than a Samsung authorized tech (catch 22). Samsung has offered a pro-rated refund. This is not good! I have new custom-made cabinets, external venting and a tile splash up underneath the microwave. Another model from another manufacturer is not going to line up with the existing conditions. The consumer is left holding the bag! Consumers, be aware of purchasing a product, such as Samsung, with no service support!
My husband and I purchased a side by side refrigerator from this company less than 4 years ago. The Motherboard has went on this refrigerator twice, we had it replace less than 7 months ago and now it has to be replaced again. This refrigerator is the biggest piece of junk ever. If you buy a product from this company dont expect them to stand behind their products whatsoever. They offer no help or solutions. I will never, ever buy a Samsung product again in my lifetime. If any of you out there are thinking about it please do not purchase their products. Shame on them for making this kind of a product and not standing behind it. It will now be my mission in life to make sure everyone knows about this company. I am not just starting here, I will be going much further with all of this. This company does not care at all about its customers and I think everyone should know this before purchasing anything from them again.
Left behind. No updates were ever provided for the smart refrigerator. After 4 years most of the smart apps on the refrigerator will no longer work. Samsung will stop paying the licensing fees on the apps as well so youre left with a very expensive screen that basically does nothing useful.
I purchased Samsung double door convertible refrigerator two years ago. Today its stop cooling and Samsung mechanic says gas leaked and asking 1850 for gas recharge. What kind of quality Samsung is producing??? Now they are not open for AMC even. MY ADVICE TO ALL IS NOT TO BUY ANY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS.
My fridge is only a little over a yr old and ice maker has gone out and cannot adjust freezer temperature. Everything is frozen solid! And when I changed water filter, water came out and flooded kitchen. Cost to repair is about $500. 00. Ill NEVER buy a Samsung product again--buyers beware.
The first week, the microwave made terrible noise. Came and installed a new motor. Less than 1 year, refrigerator freezer, condenser broke. Came, but still have problems. Keep trying to clean glass in stove, and was told by a Samsung Technician to unscrew the door, and will be able to clean. Dont do that. Cant get the door back on. LOL! Now, the dishwasher is not working. Told me it was the disposal. Paid money for a plumber, and not the disposal! But, rather the not-working dishwasher. NOW, the washing machine, it doesnt spin. Technician and said, it was the binder. Brought the wrong ones. Supposedly, coming back today to fix. It says, only 200 words, how can I - DONT BUY SAMSUNG.
