Samsung refrigerator ice maker freezes up and has issues with temperature. This is a manufacturers defect, a design defect, and Samsung sold the refrigerator knowing that it has recurring issues. There are several service bulletins about this and Im aware of many complaints due to this defect. We have had issues with this fridge since purchasing due to this defective design flaw.

From the day it was installed about a year ago, it leaks badly under the door during the first cycle. It never cleans the dishes well and always leaves funk all over for me to scrape off after. I might as well hand wash! Now the unit will not complete cycle. I have taken it apart a zillion times to clean and inspect. What a piece of **. Locally we have a tire store called Discount Tire. In their TV ad they show a little old lady throwing a tire through their front window and the ad says if youre not satisfied.... bring it back. I wonder what it would sound like when I throw this dishwasher through Lowes front window?

We purchased a new Samsung refrigerator with a bottom freezer. Not long after the installation, we noticed ice buildup in the refrigerator on the right side. We had recently had a power outage in our area and thought that may have caused the ice. We cleaned the ice off, but the ice continued to build. We called service and they came out and made an adjustment to the freezer drawer. We again called service and this technician replaced the drawer slides of the freezer. That seemed to have worked for a while. We now have ice buildup again and our refrigerator is no longer under warranty. I called Samsung directly and they will do nothing. I have no choice but to pay for the repair this time, but have no confidence that it will permanently fix the issue. This is the last Samsung appliance I will ever purchase.

We purchased a whole kitchen suite of Samsung appliances. It proved to be a costly mistake. As many of the other reviewers report, our refrigerator kept icing up and leaking. One of the technicians who came to try and fix it, basically said that it is a design problem and the fix wouldn’t last. We ended up having to defrost it every week. The final straw was having to throw out food on more than one occasion due to the refrigerator and freezer not maintaining safe temperature. We replaced the refrigerator with a different manufacturer. I have to say I’m not very happy with our other Samsung appliances either but can’t afford to replace the whole suite after only 3 years.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator, model @ RF263BEAESR in Aug 2012. First off, the handle broke off within a year and a half or so. I find the parts list online & email Samsung to ask how to locate them and buy them, as a couple of them didnt have part #s on the schematic. They proceed to tell me that they cannot sell me these parts, that I would need to contact a Samsung authorized repair person. Fast forward to 6-2016. The ice maker has continually frozen up for the past couple of months. Then all of a sudden, the fan starts making a loud noise. Then I realize that the unit is not as cool as it is supposed to be after purchasing a thermometer and setting it inside.Luckily, I purchased the extended warranty through the company I bought it from, however, the warranty contract will only allow $125 reimbursement in spoiled food. When I went through all of the food, I tallied it all up and it totaled over $208!! I am angry that Samsung has made such a shoddy product and no recall has been issued for this fridge. IMO, a fridge should last longer than 3 years before having cooling issues. I have owned others for many, many more years and never had a cooling problem with those.Apparently, this is a well known issue that the unit freezes up in the coil/ fan area, yet Samsung has not issued a recall, just a service bulletin! I threw away $2300 on this fridge and it looks like I will be forced to search for another one. I also own a Samsung dishwasher (has been worked on twice since purchased in 2013) and washer (has been worked on once since purchased in 2013) and dryer (crossing my fingers on that one!) Had I have known that they do not care about their customers and making things right, I would have never purchased any of their products! I know I wont be a repeat customer!!!

I purchased the top of the line dishwasher from hhgregg. It does not dry the dishes. I called Samsung. Was told the dishwasher has to get accustom to rinse aid. Its designed to help the water evaporate, and it supposed to stay wet in the inside. I explained to the representative that I was using rinse aid. She said but the dishwasher has to get use to it. Is it just me that think this is the craziest thing ever? So after 20 mins and speaking to her manager they agreed to have someone come out to repair it. Im sure this will not be the end of this.

Purchased model 4 years ago. Had all sorts of problems. The control pad froze up continually. Lights & fan came on randomly by itself. We had service to fix it on numerous occasions. The repairs were in vain. Could not be fixed. Samsung finally within the warranty period exchanged the unit for a new one. Well, we had the same problems. Several repairs and 3 years later, the unit died No power. Since the warranty expired, Samsung refused to replace or repair. A service call was $165 plus parts. We purchase a new GE microwave. I replaced 15-year old Sears Kenmore appliances with what I believed to be top of the line Samsung appliances. Boy, did I learn a lesson. Problem number 1: the oven dead shorted a heating element. We had a service man out for the repair. He didn’t have the parts. Evidently, Samsung replacement parts are not well stocked or easy to get. We made our own repairs. Problem number 2: the refrigerator ($2700 French door, freezer below) started leaking water under the deli tray and freezing. This appliance has a service plan and the service tech was contacted. It took two weeks to get the part, which was shipped in to our house from California. He made the repairs. The problem was solved for a while.Six months later there is water in the same location. Problem number 3: microwave door handle broke off at the mount. Cheap plastic connection between metal and plastic. Then the key pad started dead shorting and shutting down the breaker. The problem only occurs when you set time and run machine. It doesn’t occur when the preset buttons are utilized. Samsung appliances all less than 2 years old all have problems. The replacement parts are scarce to find except online. All the service techs I spoke with spoke very poorly about Samsung appliances in general. I am completely done with Samsung forever. I just had to replace our 15-year old Kenmore dishwasher. I didn’t even consider Samsung even though it would match our other appliances. I am only going to buy American made appliances in the future. They may not be as high tech or fancy looking, but they work and last and you can get replacement parts. 3 Samsung appliances, 3 bad experiences, 3 strikes--you’re out.

About 5 years ago I purchased a Samsung RF217ACRS wide french door refrigerator. This unit has been nothing but trouble since about 1 day after the warranty ended. In the past 2.5 years I have spent about as much money on repairs as on the original purchase. The control panel continues to freeze up, ice blocks the drain, the panel has been replaced twice, several other parts have been replaced yet nothing appears to solve the problem of water all over the bottom of the unit. The vegetable bins always have water in the bottom. Each repair person that has been to the house has reiterated that they intensely dislike working on Samsung however their appliances keep them in business. I will never purchase a Samsung appliance again.

There are so many of the reviews here with the exact issue I’ve had with the Samsung French Door refrigerator but I thought I would add my two cents just in case someone may still be considering buying one of these things! The ice maker has been a constant issue and I’ve had repair after repair called in on it. It completely freezes up and stops working, leaks water all over the place. It’s unbelievably annoying. I had the 4 year extended warranty with Lowe’s so I haven’t had to pay for these repairs but now I’ll have to be paying out of pocket for anything. Every couple weeks we have to defrost the ice maker. Lowe’s tells us now that they only consider a product a lemon if the same call is made 3xs in 30 days, well I could’ve met that criteria if I had felt like dealing with service calls over and over. However, had I known that I would have dealt with it. There is a class action lawsuit on this matter. Bottom line...run from Samsung.

I have just spent the last half hour reading comments on good old Samsung Refrigerator. I have had a problem for the past year and now comes a time. Where do I start? Whats the cost? The digital front settings are being controlled by a ghost; bounces from ice to water, doesnt stop. Cost? Water on the floor. Ice built up on the back of the fridge really thick and water steady on the bottom of the drawers. Cost? Any advice besides throw it to the curb like people have said? Nice fridge; but really, how much money does an average person need to fix repairs? I was going to try and tackle project by myself but will it work or continue the hair dryer every couple of months thawing it out and putting up with dings on the front panel deciding what it wants to do? Any suggestions? Obviously not after reading the reviews. Would never recommend Samsung to anyone. Bad, bad choice I am just fed up with this problem. Thanks Samsung for the Lemon.

Samsung 5 burner gas stove cost approx. $700. Love the 5 burners on the stove. The middle burner is great for simmering or keeping something warm. With having 5th burner I can keep gravy warm while preparing the rest of the meal. Also good for boiling water for eggs. It pays to spend a little more on a good quality stove. You don't want to have to buy another one in two years.

While Samsung has become reliable in their TV and cellphone line, much improvements in quality are desired in their appliance line. A Samsung dryer - a recent model that I got, broke down within 1.5 years and their paid service appointment was more than a week wait, leaving the appliance downtown for the consumer. Samsung fridge that I bought had numerous issues including, water leaks that damaged wooden floor, fan not turning, icing in fridge section, sensors needing replacement and such, over the years of its use.Irony is that while these appliances are styled well with their electronics and such, underlying functional quality of their latest appliances as well was seen driven by relative poor quality components that will guarantee repairs past their warranty period. The feedback to the quality department is simple - learn from quality of LG and improve component quality to enhance on the on the functional reliability for the appliance to function trouble free for about 5 years at the minimum. Short of that, itll leave a bad taste in customer use, forcing them to look at brands with better quality.

Well, I was too afraid to mess with the control panel so I placed a service call in. The tech came and I told him what I read so I asked him to remove the ribbon or membrane and then reconnect. My husband has been buying Samsung product for 20 years and since building our new home of course all of everything has to be Samsung...well either theyre under new management or they are getting too comfortable with their name, because we have had bad experience with the oven the 1st year. The door got stuck self cleaning and burned out the display panel and still cant see the numbers on it even after getting it fixed parts in all service paid $400. Microwave numbers seems to jam sometimes but still work. The Samsung vacuum cleaner has no adjustment, very hard to push and now 4 year later within the 5 year of our new home the refrigerator bottom freezer does not work.We YouTube fix it yourself and nothing has worked...top work but bottom doesnt and not to mention the dishwasher top rack will fall on one side off the track. We paid cash from Best Buy for all of our Samsung appliances and I am very disappointed and wait a minute our 50 tv all of a sudden had gotten a green line to appear in the left hand corner. Dont know how that happened...we are 50 year old. No kids to cause any of this damage nor do we have pets. We are very clean people and dont want to have to replace all these but looks like soon its gonna happen so this is our past experience with Samsung products

I bought Samsung dishwasher, Model# DWF600UTW/AA. While still it is under warranty service, there was a problem with run ending in the middle and light started flashing. I called for service. The service person pulled out the dishwasher, and pushed it back very hard. When he left, I started the run, and dishwasher leaked all over and water puddled in the basement. There was not just the damage in the basement, but I had to re-install the dishwasher again with my own money. I never had leak before, the service person caused it, and Samsung doesnt want to pay the damages. The standard answer is, warranty is on the equipment parts and not the installation. Although their service person caused it! Another thing, if there is a damage-claim, Samsung transfers you to corporate affairs. They make you wait on the phone for hours! I strongly will advice anyone, not to buy their equipment, because if something goes wrong, this company doesnt take the responsibility. Neither they have a good warranty service.

I contacted Samsung Customer Service about an issue with staining on the inside of the glass on our two month old slide in range. I was told that the issue was not covered by the warranty. That it was normal for air, steam and possible grease particles to flow through the vent above the glass. I was told that it should accumulate on the inside of the glass. I was told that it could be cleaned by a service technician at my expense. I told Samsung if this was a continual problem that it was a design defect. I did not have this problem with either a GE or Frigidaire Range. I was assigned a ticket number. They called a service center in Myrtle Beach. The Service Center refused to come and service the stove even though I would be paying for a service call and the repair. Samsung reassigned this repair to another Service Center. They too refused to make the service call. Samsung has assigned this to a third Service Center. I have not heard from them as of today. If they also refuse to make the repair I have advised Samsung they need to find another approach to solving this problem.Updated on 06/26/2015This is an update on our Samsung range. First the good points: It is nice looking. It functions as intended, that is you can cook on the stove top, you can bake, roast or broil. The bad points: While the self cleaning feature works, it discolored and stained the glass in the oven door. Samsungs position is that is a cosmetic issue and not covered by the warranty. If I want to get rid of the stains I would need to get one of their service contractors to come out, take the door apart and clean the glass. Another option would be to replace the door. The door is poorly designed. It draws air through the grill on the front and exhausts the air through the back. I dont know of any other slide range that does that. We have own two others - a Frigidaire and a GE. Neither had this problem during cleaning.I contacted the service department at Samsung. They were pleasant and helpful in setting up an appointment to clean the glass at my expense. The problem was that the service contractors did not want to clean the glass. Their concern was possible breakage of the glass, which they would have to replace. They also claimed that they could not assure me that the glass would fit tightly once removed. Samsung went through four (4) service contractors. Not one of them wanted to clean the glass. Two of them were willing to replace the door at my expense. The cost of which made it more appealing to buy a new stove. It would not be a Samsung, believe me.

I then paid $80 for the service call for nothing. That was almost 2 months ago. I have called Samsung 6-7 times. I am still waiting for their call which I am sure will be never. Each time I call I am reassured they will call me & it’s been about 2 mos. I am getting blown off & strung along. It’s a 3yr old $2000.00 fridge. There must be some kind of class action suit that could be brought against Samsung. This is so shameful that this huge company can rip people off continuously. I called the brick warranty department and they told me to unplug the fridge for 24hrs before a technician comes out to fix the problem. This surprised me as it seems they already know about the problem on fridge and I wonder why they dont fix it before it was sold. We purchased this dishwasher Model # DW80H9930US/AA on the recommendation of the HHGregg Sales Representative based on reliability. We have had nothing but problems since December 2014 when we purchased it, with 3 service orders to date. The last one is a repeat for the issue that we had less than a month ago. On top of that, Samsung uses servicing dealers that do not have parts in stock. Thus, they are allowed to order the parts based on the repair order making the customer wait the additional time for the repair. Of course, if there is another issue, you need to start all over again with a service request where they try to get you to repair it yourself using their manuals. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again!

My wife and I bought the beautiful new dishwasher and from day one using it the machine doesn’t wash our dishes. If I could give this dishwasher a negative rating I would. It doesn’t deserve a 1 star. We’ve had 3 service calls where techs can’t find anything wrong with it once they run their diagnosis. The tech have given us advice on different types of washing cycles or soap to use and our dishes continue to come out dirty. We’ve even been hand washing prior to putting them in and still come out filthy. Samsung has been horrible to deal with as they just continue to say there is nothing more they can do for us at this time even though they understand it’s not washing. I would never purchase from them again as they do not stand behind their products. I’m not asking for much. Just a dishwasher that washes the dishes. Service ticket number # **.

So I made the call on Friday the 14th to set up a service. I was told someone would contact me within 48 hours. On Monday 4 days later I still have not been contacted so I called Samsung again. At this time they informed me that I should have been contacted by service company on the 14th. They gave me the number to call the service company myself so I did. The service company informed me that they had informed Samsung on Friday the 14th that I was out of their service area but Samsung never contacted me to let me know. The Samsung call center overseas was very unprofessional and would not even let me to talk to a supervisor then proceeded to tell me that my warranty was over just call someone else. So now on Tuesday Samsung informs me there are no service companies in my Zip code. So I have waited 5 days to get my Refrigerator repaired and now Im calling Sears. We made the ultimate mistake by purchasing this Samsung Storm Wash dishwash
We made the ultimate mistake by purchasing this Samsung Storm Wash dishwasher. The dishwasher smells and constantly traps mold in the dishwasher & on the dishes. After less than 1 year the dishwasher hardly cleans at all, the glasses look worse after being washed in dishwasher than before. There is a gross film left on all dishes despite using rinse agent religiously. Silverware has to be rewashed before using. I hand wash more dishes than the dishwasher washes! So frustrating & Im stuck with this piece of junk till I can afford a new one. Very disheartening. Samsung has no care despite emails sent to them. They refuse to help & refuse to take product back. I was willing to trade for another Samsung dishwasher. Shame on any company that doesnt stand behind their product! My daughter got an Mac Pro recently that began to split apart after a month; Apple immediately took care of this. Samsung could learn a thing or two!

We purchased a refrigerator on July 29 2017 MODEL RF26HFENDSR/AA and started having noise problems shortly thereafter. This purchase was for a property we were retiring to and we were not there all the time for the first 7 months. Once we moved in there we noticed loud banging noises coming from the fridge at random times. These noises were so loud they woke us in the night.I initially called Samsung about this in early June of 2018. They sent a technician out but the sound did not happen while he was here. As we were in a remote area it took over 4 weeks to get him to come out. After this I was constantly on the phone trying to find out what they would do next and they finally asked me to send them an audio file of the sound. Which I did. They in turn sent it to Samsung and Samsung tells me this was normal. I called them several times after that and then in Oct they refused to even talk to me as they said it was now not in warranty. At that time I pointed out that the problem was there before the warranty was out and they said it didnt matter it was not their problem now. At that point I called Lowes where I purchased the fridge as I had a 4 year extended warranty with them. They sent the same company out again and the Technician was here all of 10 minutes, changed a setting on the fridge and left. This did not solve the problem. After numerous calls to both Lowes and the repair company of Lake City furnishings in Williams lake they finally came back with an email from Samsung saying that the noise was something that happens to only a few fridges and will disappear after 1 or possibly more than 2 years. This is not an acceptable resolution to me and I feel I have wasted countless hours on the phone with Samsung, Lake City and Lowes to no proper resolution.

I Bought a French door Samsung refrigerator 11/13/16. Year and a half later the ice maker had to be replace. 3 weeks ago, my fridge stop work, call Samsung, a technician came over today, 04/01/2020 and just told me, the little over three years old refrigerator is dead. No repair, no warranty. It have a sulfur damaged. How that can be? I have a city water and a purified water system in the whole house. I have a 15 year old refrigerator, from the time the house was build, and still work in the garage. This is BS. I been read a lot other reviews in the internet, and people had the same problem. I paid $2,058.64 for this crap at Home Depot, and now I have to go out and buy another one. Please don’t waste your money with Samsung.

Like everyone else who has written a review, I purchased my Samsung French Door Refrigerator two years ago. I realize I am adding nothing new to all of the other complaints regarding this horrible refrigerator. I replaced my ice maker twice and it still freezes up completely. I am now experiencing the second big complaint in that if I use the water dispenser, water leaks and pools in the deli drawer. My appliance service provider explained that it is a design flaw and it simply cannot be repaired. I would never purchase anything from Samsung again.

As in many of the other reviews, I also experienced the dreaded SE error code on my range microwave (model 9197). I realize that its probably hit or miss as to what type of help you will get when you call Samsung’s customer service center; however, I was very lucky to get an articulate, responsive person who seemed to be well aware of this problem. He did offer me a one-time courtesy warranty extension which will pay for the repair of my unit. If it has to be replaced, I am ready to fight that battle next!

The refrigerator we purchased 1 yr & 8 mos ago stopped working. After waiting a week and a half for a repair company to come the repair company told us it was too big of a problem for them to fix. They called it a sealed system breakdown. We were sent back to communicating with Samsung. Now every time anything actually happens it’s a Thursday or Friday so the whole weekend goes by with no action. I finally get Samsung to assign us a new repair company that supposedly deals with Sealed Systems. We are given a date three weeks later. I demanded that is too long. I’m told I have to deal with the repair company about the date. I try but they don’t care, they’re just the repair company and I’m not the one paying them so why would they care?! Of course Nothing happens. I finally put my foot down and insist that we get a new fridge. Three more days goes by & Samsung keeps promising me every day that management is going to call me back. Guess what? No one ever calls. Another Friday... Another weekend with no action! Now today a month after this whole thing starts & the fridge stopped working I’m told this morning that Home Depot (our original purchase location) is where we get the replacement fridge from and I have to go through them for delivery date. FOUR phone calls later to Home Depot today and hours later it is determined that Home Depot has nothing to do with it. What a waste of my day! Come to find out the fridge is now in our town but no delivery date is available so I just have to sit and wait. Let’s summarize by saying I will never buy anything from Samsung againWe have since realized that our energy bill spiked at least $50 a month since January and it has now dawned on us that it is because as the fridge got worse and worse & was probably pulling more & more energy trying to stay cold. Between the groceries that we lost, the spike in energy cost and the money spent going out to eat because we haven’t had a fridge for a month Samsung owes us a lot more than a replacement but I will not hold my breath! Unacceptable!!Updated on 07/02/2018: If you read my previous review you saw the horrible experience we had going two months without a refrigerator. When the delivery company eventually showed up with our new refrigerator, just as we feared, they were merely truck drivers and had no expectation of installing the new fridge. As soon as it was brought off the truck we’ve noticed a dent in the front right door. Also as the delivery men brought it into the house they damaged our kitchen wall. Our kitchen is in the midst of being upgraded by us and the new sheetrock had just been taped. When I phoned Samsung to tell them of the damaged wall and the dent in the front of the fridge Samsung informed me that we would have to turn the fridge away and go after the delivery company ourselves for the damage to the wall. I am not shocked by this response from Samsung as they have shown no care for their customer through this entire process. We kept the fridge of course because who would turn away a fridge after two months of been without one?

After 13 months and 1 month after the warranty expired. I called Samsung Appliances and reported that I had a software glitch. After the unit finishes a cooking cycle the LED Panel clears itself out, wipes out the memory settings including the clock and takes 5 to 10 retries to reset it. I purchased this at Sears along with other Samsung products including a top of the line SS side by side Fridge etc. This microwave is a top of the line over the stove SS model #ME21F707MJT/AC manufactured date March 2016. Samsung position is too bad. Out of warranty you pay for our bad software design and motherboard. They will not confirm if this is an isolated or general issue with this machine. Stay away from Samsung. They dont care. From this day forward I will never purchase another Samsung Appliance including the Galaxy Phone. My S7 which is ready to be replaced, also my pending purchase of a 4K OHLED large panel TV will not include Samsung. Going back to SONY. They are a bunch of ** and Issac the telephone rep apologized for my problems but that is all he can do. Youre on your own. I strongly stay away from Samsung. We purchased this refrigerator a year and three months ago. The first three months it smelled so strong like plastic it was hard to take. And two weeks ago it began making a jackhammer noise every couple of minutes we ended up having to have the water filter case replaced which cost us over $200. I spent an hour yes and hour on hold with Samsung who kept saying they could not do anything to assist us with the problem. Cannot wait to see what goes wrong next with this refrigerator. Very disappointed and very disappointed in the customer service of Samsung. We will not be buying another product from Samsung ever again.

BUYER BEWARE: From the day I received the refrigerator, the bottom load freezer never worked. Within a six week period; I made multiple calls to SAMSUNG; was sent two local techs, who was in contact with the samsung; Samsung cancelled the third tech with no explanation and the freezer is still not working. Dealing with the SAMSUNG SERVICE DEPT. has been one long nightmare. They have an 800 number so you do not get to speak to the same person; they are located all over the USA and Dominican Republic. I was given misinformation, hung up on, transferred to other agents multiple times and had to re-explain the reason for my call over and over again. The agents read off a script about their service policy I cannot get a replacement refrigerator until a part has been replaced twice AND THEIR service tech deems it unrepairable; I cannot receive reimbursement for lost food until the refrigerator has been fixed. The problem with my appliance is that there was a factory defect with the freezer drawer, the techs were telling me, but not communicating this information to the SAMSUNG TECh. I was assigned a case worker after the initial conversation about the problem, I never heard from them again.

DMT300RFW - This appliance was purchased in 2010 from Future Shop in Saskatoon. Problems were experienced very quickly and our efforts for assistance from Future Shop or Samsung were a waste of time. In 2012 the dishwasher would only run on Heavy Duty and most often it has to restarted in order to start the cycle. At the present time, often it takes restarting four to five times before it will go into the cycle. We will replace it for certain with a different brand.

We purchased a package deal on 4 Samsung appliances in the summer of 2016. It was suggested that to update our kitchen for potentially selling it that new appliances are a must. The units that we purchased from HHGregg are VERY disappointing. The dishwasher DW80J3020US is very quiet, which is nice, but since there is no latch to lock the door, occasionally we open it mid-cycle forgetting it is on. There is no way to continue the cycle; it has to start completely over. We contacted customer service asking about this and they confirmed this. That is poor design. For the microwave model ME16H702SEB, you cant cook something and use the timer at the same time. It may seem like a small thing, but it is very inconvenient. Again, poor design. We are extremely disappointed in the quality of these units and the lack of attention to detail. They are cheaply designed. Stay away from them.

I have owned one Samsung refrigerator and will never buy another one, except for a boat anchor. I have had trouble with the ice maker ever since we had the refrigerator, it is so terrible. It freezes constantly and the ice will pour out all over the floor. We have hard wood flooring in our home and this refrigerator has made a mess of it. I just want to let Samsung know that their product is a piece of crap and is more expensive than other brands which our friends have. They never have problems like we do. We have had it worked on so many times. We could and should have ditched this thing and bought a new one of some other brand name, but we kept hoping that it could be repaired to work as advertised. There should be some type of liability placed on a manufacture for making such a terrible product. Thanks for nothing.

This eventually will cause ice to accumulate on the coils and it stops working. This requires the owner to empty the contents and manually defrost the refrigerator for a day or two. Appalled by the way Samsung and Lowe’s have treated me. My brand-new Samsung electric range did not work properly from day one! After multiple calls speaking with agents who attempted to have ME fix the issues while they were on the phone, Samsung reluctantly sent a service repairman to my home. C & E Appliances sent someone who admitted they knew Nothing, about cooking. The first thing he did was blame me for buying a stove which offered the rapid boiling option! Secondly, he snidely stated, I bet you never read the manual to your stove. Both statements were untrue! I bought this stove as part of an appliance package. I purchased them for various reasons, but NOT one included rapid boiling. I have read the manual many, many times and worked with Samsung employees to fix the issues. The repairman explained that other people were having similar issues with baking; especially bread and cakes. He stated he didnt know anything about baking. He also told me he didnt know anything about simmering! According to the stove’s manual simmering occurs when your knob is placed on Low. (See pg. 35) My stove will not simmer, and my oven does not bake evenly. Since the repairman did not know why I needed to simmer I explained a few things about some of my favorite recipes. Most of them require simmering at a specific temperature. “Simmering cooks the food gently and slowly, allowing it to maintain its structure in ways that are impossible with boiling.”C & E’s repairman advised me to preheat my oven for an extra 15 minutes prior to baking. He also said I should bring my rice to a boil on one burner, transfer the pot to another burner and turn the knob below the Low setting to simmer. I have lots of photos to prove his advice did NOT work. Samsung drew my complaints out with self-help fixes which did not work. Soon after the first serviceman left Samsungs 1-year warranty expired. Based on the recommendation of Lowes salesperson, I had purchased a 5-year extended warranty, which turned out to be worthless. Lowes sent me the exact same man to look at my stove! The warranty clearly states if Lowe’s or Samsung can’t fix it they will replace it. I have taken this matter as far as any of your companies’ phone systems will allow. Promises from those claiming to be corporate managers have been broken.A 2nd repairman came out to investigate. He checked the brand-new pots I had purchased for my brand-new stove and they were fine. He had absolutely no idea what was wrong and suggested I use the back burners to simmer, or the warming center. Neither is possible. The smaller burners in the back are not large enough to simmer soups, stews, sauces or rice. According to the manual, and common sense, the pot or “Pan should not hang over the element by more than one-half inch.” (See pg. 37.) The temperature on the small warming center is not high enough to simmer, nor is the element big enough to accommodate a larger size pan. (See pg. 50.) I made a formal complaint to the BBB concerning C & E Appliance. Preparing a formal complaint to BBB for Lowes and Samsung.

Discovered ice machine was not working properly on newly delivered refrigerator the first day in use. Contacted warranty division for repair and promised contact with 48 hrs. After 2 days without contact and again called warranty service. They reassigned repair ticket to another company. After another 4 days without contact I again called warranty division and was issued a new repair ticket number to yet another repair company. Was contacted by Samsung Tracking Service to check status of repair. Upon hearing that no contact had yet been made by repair company. Tracking Services said they would expedite repair order. After another 7 days without any other repair contact I contacted retailer (Home Depot) for return/refund. After hearing my story, agent put me on hold while she contacted assigned repair company who informed her that they had no record of repair ticket. She reissued ticket (under same number) and promised a quick contact from them. Ironically, a few hours later I was again contacted by Tracking Service inquiring as to the status of my repair. In our discussion she informed me that her records showed that the repair company had indeed received the repair ticket in the initial transmission and offered to put my case into the Samsung Resolution Department for review. As they were Samsung and has hired the (non-responsive) repair companies in question, I asked her to contact them to expedite. She proceeded to inform me that she was unable to contact their repair company on my behalf.I fail to understand what Samsungs definition of Customer Service could possibly be. They know theres a problem with your brand new Samsung Large Appliance. They know there are multiple failures (3) in their repair chain, they continue to ask you how is your repair going, but they refuse to actually step-in and take charge to resolve the problem. Instead, leaving their consumer to contend with the (obvious) dregs of the appliance repair world that theyve chosen to repair their products. Guess with everything in the recent news regarding Samsung guess I should be happy that my refrigerator hasnt blown up yet. The LAST Samsung product that will ever enter my home. Buyer beware!

We bought a Samsung stove - Model #NX58H5600SS and a microwave model #ME18H704SFS in May 2015. The stove overnight started beeping and now showing an error code SE. The Microwave has been making a weird buzzing sound for over a year (seems like something is broken inside). After the stove issue we decided to call Samsung and they basically told us our warranty for the stove is for one year and microwave if it’s magnetic issue then the warranty is for 10 years but you have to pay for labor in order to fix the issue. However, we have no idea what the issue is. I can’t believe that after having these items for less than 3 years we already have issues. I’m very disappointed that we purchased these products and would tell anyone not to buy it since they are crap products! Before remodeling our kitchen we had a stove that lasted years not just for three years. Ridiculous!!!! So now I have to get a service person to come and fix it. Stop selling crap products.

On October 1, 2014 my daughter and I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher from Home Depot (Nanuet, NY) along with a 5 year extended warranty and installation. The installers took almost 3 hours to install, and just before leaving, told us that there is a slight leak under the sink - the leak was the dishwasher. This was a housewarming gift for my son. The dishwasher shuts off before completing cycle, continues to leak. He has gone personally on 3 occasions into Home Depot who absolutely refuse to help, says it is Samsungs problem. He has spoken with Samsung who refuse to replace and is surprised that Home Depot has brushed him off as they have. Samsung says they have to come to service a NEW dishwasher 3 times before replacing. They were supposed to arrive today between 9-11, and at 8:55 called to say they would be there 1-3, which meant he had to lose a day at work. When the technician came, he wasnt sure what the problem and spoke very little English, so had difficulty explaining himself - both Samsung and Home Depot continue to ignore the situation.

I purchased a Samsung fridge March 2013 from the brick with stove, and dishwasher for our new home. Within the first 6 months we started to notice water in the crisper - just one side... OK someone spilled something? That went on for a few more months and we started wondering what/why? Went online and was told to contact Samsung, there was a fix to our problem. I called, they sent repair person here Feb 13 2015. Within 3 months it started again called right away. They sent the same part for a new repair - which was the entire BACK of the fridge - this time will do it! That was June 30/15 and we have been calling Samsung now for a few weeks as it started again? When do they come clean and give me a new fridge? This is obviously unfixable and a malfunction of this fridge - what can I do? So far all my calls say sorry already fixed 2x, no more for you??? Not good!!! I have a basic 2 door model - no ice maker, no water, just a fridge with freezer on the bottom. I need help - willing to repair but will it really work this time? I guess I will see how serious Samsung is about customer service tomorrow. My about 2 year old dishwasher has some plastic supports for the upper rack that are breaking down. In looking over customer complaints about the same model I guess it’s a real common problem. Some of the customers are saying that the brackets need to be replaced 2 OR 3 TIMES A YEAR, REALLY. How could this be, cant SAMSUNG come up with a QUALITY part that will last? HOPING I HEAR FROM SAMSUNG TOMORROW. I DONT understand why this model number cannot be flagged and the part just shipped without another 15 to 20 min on the phone. Sure hope they dont try to charge me for their poor choice in material and design. And I hope the part they do have to replace it with is not the same as the one that is breaking down. VERY UNHAPPY.

My Samsung fridge quit cooling at 8 months old. I called Samsung for a repair and they fixed it after 3 repair companies coming out. The first two weren’t qualified to repair sealed system units. Finally got the sealed system replaced and it failed 30 days later. I spent countless hours on the phone with Samsung trying to get a refund. After four months with a too warm fridge, and 4-5 hours a week on the phone with Samsung, sending documentation over and over as they continually “lost” documents emailed and faxes, I finally got my refund. Last month, I noticed the drinks werent cool, the vegetables started to wilt, and finally, the ice maker quit working on my less than 3-year-old Samsung French door refrigerator. I called Samsung and was switched from one person to another, telling my whole story over and over. Eventually, they gave me someone in Dallas who said they couldnt get anyone to come to my house for three days. I threw away all food, waited for the serviceman, and when he finally got here, was told the fan to the compressor was not working, but he did not have the part. I was charged $180 for his visit. He said he had to order the part and would try to be back Monday, another 3 days away. Monday he said the part wasnt in. Tuesday, the part wasnt in. Wednesday, the part FINALLY arrived and he came back and replaced the fan. Then, amazingly, that didnt work either. Now he said he had to replace the whole motherboard and I had to pay for both parts. After spending almost $500, I now had a refrigerator and freezer again after over 10 days. I am so upset. I saved for years to buy a new frig, spent a ton of money to buy it, and loved the new one until this happened. I thought they would do the right thing by at least coming quickly and making the repairs in a reasonable time and at a reasonable cost, but I was wrong. This refrigerator broke down 2 days after the warranty expired. They wanted a hundred dollars just to look at it before any repairs even started. I ran into an unsolvable trying to fix it myself. The connector to the evaporator fan shorted out. Half of that connector is built into the back wall of the refrigerator section. I got a new fan as the wire was clearly burnt off. I plugged the fan in and nothing, the refrigerator still did not work. I took it apart again and this time noticed that the tiny pin in the connector mounted in the refrigerator back wall was also burned off. I couldnt find that part anywhere. So I had to call for a service tech and pay the $100.00 call fee. The tech came out, inspected it, and deemed it unrepairable. So I now have a $4000.00 piece of trash. This is clearly Samsungs fault. It is a very poor design. If you search the internet you will see hundreds of complaints about icing and water build up in this section of the refrigerator. Samsung refuses to do anything about it or compensate me in any way. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR! They do not stand behind their products or care about their customers, or have a good designed product!

On 8/11/2010, I bought a Samsung 264 L capacity fridge from Electrical Discounters in Port Augusta. In about Aug 2012, my fridge broke down. No worries, Samsung took about 2 weeks to repair using a local technician. The local technician was very hesitant to take on any more Samsung warranty claims as he has had problems in the past. He was kind enough to replace the timer defroster at the back of the fridge. I lost over $300 worth of food. In the end of October, my fridge broke down again. I expressed my concern as it is a 2-year warranty coverage that expired on 8/11/12. Samsung acknowledged this (apparently noted this) because as far as I am aware, there is only one fridge technician in Port Augusta, hence my cause for concern. The problem - exactly the same as the first time it broke. Again, the timer was replaced after another 2 weeks without a working fridge. I was never contacted by Samsung. I have initiated the calls and contact on every occasion. You can imagine my frustration when on 26 December 2012, items in my fridge were growing mold and my ice cream in the freezer was almost liquid (semi-soft). I refused to believe so I waited a day before reporting it thinking maybe there had been a power outage that I did not know about overnight. I reported the fault on either 27th or 28th December to Samsung. Samsungs solution - you need a technician to look at it. It is exactly the same problem as the 1st and 2nd time. And now the technician refuses to play any further part in dealing with my fridge or Samsung. As far as I am aware, there are no other fridge technicians in Port Augusta. The closest would be Whyalla or Port Pirie. I struggle to imagine them making a single trip for my Samsung fridge only. I have since called Samsung 4 times inquiring as to my status as I have never received a phone call from them updating me on my status. I was informed that a technician would need to examine the fridge and now, after just getting off the phone with them, they advise that a technician will look at repairing the fridge. I have expressed my desire at having the fridge replaced but now that no technician in Port Augusta is willing to deal with Samsung, I am left at a loss. The replacement of a fridge leaves me inevitably frustrated as I am concerned I will be given another dodgy Samsung fridge with no one to repair it. I have made Samsung aware of these concerns to which they note but never contact or update and to be told that a technician is looking at repairing my fridge (which has broken down 3 times in the past 6 months) is upsetting.I have given Samsung ample opportunity to update me and liaise with me but as you can see, my frustrations are continually growing as I now do not want a Samsung fridge. I would like my money back as they are not offering me a suitable alternative. I was advised by email on Jan. 4 that a case manager has been assigned to me complaint but I have yet to hear further from them. Please help me. All I want is a working fridge that I can rely on.

DW80F600UTS/AA was 18 months old and lightly used (3x month), the smart auto and normal lights flashing. The Samsung repair guy replaced the PCB Main and the sensor ECS. He said the PCB main was an updated one (problems with the one in my dishwasher). Samsung will not pay for parts after 1 year even if lightly used. The repair guy said it is likely to fail again and is only under warranty for 90 days. Do not buy this product. When it fails again it will be used for a drying rack since I dont generate a lot of dishes.

Bought from Lowes on August 2, 2013 (4 months ago). Problems with ice maker from the date of delivery. The entire ice maker assembly has been replaced twice. The freezer door deal once. Within days after replacement/repairs same problem occurs. Either no ice produced or very little over a long period of time. Calling Samsung for repairs is an ordeal. Numerous calls. After taking all the information, they say they will call or email within 3-5 days. Sometimes they do. Sometimes they do not. For example, I called on Tuesday, December 10, 20123. Was given Transaction # and was told my case will be considered for replacement or reimbursement. Again, was told I would either get a call or email within 3-5 days. I waited seven (7) days. Called Samsung. Was told that there was no record of the Transaction # given to me. New one given. Again, I was told that I would get a call or email within 3-5 days. Same thing time and time again. On those occasions when they do call me, I am told that a repair technician will be contacting me to set up an appointment in my home. That takes an additional week or two. By far, this is the worst consumer experience I have ever had in my entire life. Real bad. Getting tired of the lost record excuses, claim that they need more time to review when they have the whole history right before them. I never will buy another Samsung product.

Purchased in December of 2011 and we have had trouble with this refrigerator (model RS263TDBP) from the beginning!! We had to replace the ice container within six months because it cracked. The ice falls out of the ice maker on a daily basis. Within the last few days, the fan started making a ticking sound and today the refrigerator side has stopped cooling. I called the help line at Samsung and was hung up on four times. I have contacted Sears, but no one has called me back. I am very disturbed by Samsungs lack of care attitude! I think a major appliance should last longer than three years!!! We should be able to file a class action lawsuit against them! They need to stand behind their products!!

STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG APPLIANCES! In 2015, we installed Samsung appliances in our kitchen in conjunction with an extensive remodel. Worse move we ever made. Boy do I wish we could turn back the clock. The dishwasher failed 2 months after we installed it, and we literally had to give up our first-born child to get a replacement unit even though it was still within the 1 year warranty. Next, the element in the oven failed (3 times to date) as well as the control board which set us back $250. The microwave has always had a mind of its own, and will often beep and turn lights on and off during the middle of the night. Since it still seems to work, we are leaving it alone. Finally, the ice-maker in the refrigerator door freezes up and causes a mess, and needs to be defrosted once a month. Apparently, this is a very common problem with Samsung refrigerators. Another reason to stay away from this product. Amazingly enough, we contacted Samsung no less than 10 times regarding these issues and the response has always been your appliances are out of warranty, too bad so sad. If you are planning on purchasing Samsung appliances, I would highly recommended you do your research first and go with another brand! I for one will NEVER buy their products again.

This Samsung Model RF26XAEWP refrigerator is 5 years old and has a constant problem with noise. The compressor was replaced after 1.5 years and the problem still continues. Ice always builds up on the back of the refrigerator, water collects at the bottom under the veggie drawers and the cycle continues. Ive added an extended service contract on this refrigerator and gets looked at now every three months with the same problem. I just spent 6 hours defrosting this self defrosting refrigerator and got 8 cups of water out of it. No water leaking, just ice build up. After it was completely defrosted I plugged it back in and the noise continues. It will do this until the repairman shows and then it will stop. Samsung cannot make good refrigerators or repair them. Waste of money.

If there was a negative star... thats what I give our four year old dishwasher. It worked okay for the first year, then dishes were always cruddy, even if we carefully rinsed them. We were forever cleaning it the filter, which was never actually dirty, but to no avail. Then, we started getting the dreaded OE error. Wed restart, and it would generally go, though wasting the fill water in drought struck California. Then, it would not work, right before New Years. Repairman came out, correctly diagnosed the problem, replaced the electronics board for $380. Four weeks later, OE flashing again. This time it was the water valve. The repairman did the rest as described by Samsung to diagnose it, as he had the previous time -- I watched. Replaced THAT part, for another $320. Worked once, then OE began flashing. To say that I am LIVID would be an understatement. I called Samsung and got the company line that because it was so old... My last dishwasher lasted 22 years. By the way, we also bought a Samsung refrigerator. Within a year the in-door water began leaking inside the fridge and then freezing under the bottom door, effectively gluing it in place. This, like the OE problem, is a well known problem and Samsung refuses to fix it. NEVER again.

On March 10, 2012, we purchased a French door black counter depth refrigerator 17.8 cu ft model rf197acbp. About a month ago, we noticed water in the bottom of the fridge - I thought maybe someone spilled something. I cleaned it out with 4 bath towels, and now it’s filling up again. I called Samsung and was treated with “what do you want me to do about it” attitude - you’re two or 3 months past warranty - it’s your problem. I asked him if he heard anything about this problem before and he said, never, I was the first. But I was horrified when looking at this site. Come on. Are there not laws protecting us from 1-year appliances? The last refrigerator was 22 years old, cheap and an Amana. The government should be forcing a class action lawsuit for a product they know is bad and still selling them every day. The worst thing is, they dont seem to have a fix - to me, that is lemon law. The government should step in and force a recall or stop the import!!

I bought the dishwasher for almost $500, embarrassed that I paid that much for such a piece of junk now and thinking I had paid that much did not purchase the extended warranty. My last dishwasher was almost 20 years old when I replaced it and I was thinking I had replaced it with a much higher end model. I did not buy a Bosch or some fancy machine, nor did I buy a cheap model, just something would get the job done for a longtime. At a little less than two years, I start getting low water warnings and it shuts off and wont complete its cycle, this gets worse and worse until I cant get it to run at all. I call Samsung and they tell me it is out of warranty and for $180 they can send someone out to look at the machine but it could cost parts as well. I got it fixed by my usual guy for much less and it worked form last Oct 2013 until this February 2014 and the same low water warning is going off and the machine once again shuts off multiple times before it runs and sometimes it take a day before it will run. This is definitely a defect in design that Samsung will not acknowledge. Do not buy a Samsung dishwasher. They do no customer service, nor do they acknowledge design defects. Their warranty repair people are limited and charge an outrageous amount, because they are the only game in town just to check out your machine and do not guaranty it will be covered and they are rude and arrogant as they know they are the only ones who cover your area. Just saying will never buy another Samsung appliance nor will I go to best buy as they are the ones who sold it to me, neither stand by their products.

So I called Samsung... and was told that indeed they are NOT doing that... that I needed to contact the local repair person. So I did... and he told me to call Samsung again and lie to them that I was worried my microwave was going to burn down my house... thus forcing them to provide the free part (and service to install). I moved into a new house about five years ago and it was stocked with Samsung appliances. First my stove caught fire within the first two years. My microwave has never officially worked correctly and now my refrigerator. My icemaker broke down within two years of purchase. The door shelves Have been tracking since the first year and breaking. One by one after five years I now have a zero shelves on my door. They are made of plastic only. When I price to get replacements they run almost $100 per shelf. And my icemaker has not worked in three years. So if you want a refrigerator that only last two years buy a Samsung. After that it’s all downhill and very very expensive to replace parts.

I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator (RF25HME) back in December 2017, and on October 3, 2019 the ice maker stopped working. Did my research and found out that many consumers are complaining about the same issue. For an undetermined reason, the ice maker fills with frost, which turns into blocks of ice, not allowing the ice to be made, and locks up the auger.Spent part of my weekend defrosting the ice maker. I have not had to defrost a freezer or refrigerator since I was a child (50 years ago). I have had other refrigerators with ice makers (Amana, GE) and never had this issue. I purchased the Samsung dishwasher model DMR78AHS at Lowes in May 2010. Also, I reluctantly bought the extended warranty program, but in hindsight, Im glad I did. After about a year, we started hearing a slight grinding noise. I called service and they determined that all (12) of the plastic basket clips had broken off and lodged in the motor (impeller). The service tech had to disconnect the unit, pull it out, and turn it over to remove all of the plastic tabs. Luckily, the impeller was not damaged. The tech said that this is a very common problem with Samsung dishwashers. He installed new basket clips, supposedly made out of stronger plastic, but I seriously doubt it. I am very disappointed in Samsung kitchen appliances and will not purchase from them again.

I was told that was what they could offer w depreciation on the microwave for the last 2 yrs. AND that the microwave costs about $190, so it wasnt so bad. The microwave costs $240 plus. I bought a beautiful Samsung refrigerator in July. It has water/ice on the door and a second climate drawer. Laid out perfectly - plenty of storage. In August, we noticed it was leaking water under the filter so we replaced the filter and it didnt improve. We turned off the water to the fridge and the leak continued. We called a repairman, through Samsung, and waited a couple of days for him to come. He diagnosed a broken valve and had to order a replacement part that he thought would take 8-10 days. When I hadnt heard back in 3 weeks, I called the repair company and they said the part was back ordered. They suggested I contact Samsung to get an estimated delivery time. Thus began 6 weeks of me contacting Samsung, spending hours on the phone, asking the same question, repeating the same story to every person I spoke with. Finally, I could stand it no longer and begged to be escalated. I finally found out there was no estimated time - no one knew if this part would ever be available. In the meantime, I have to daily mop up the water that comes out and floods under the produce bins; the second drawer is not usable because the water fills it and freezes. It ruins any food packaging. The water also spills out the drawers onto the floors and my hardwood floors are now damaged. I was escalated to Jaz. What a disappointment. She ignored my calls for days and only finally tried to speak with me when I hit 0 from her voice mail and begged another rep to help me. This lady definitely needs additional training in handling angry customers. She ultimately offered to swap the fridge, a frustrating process because we have a small opening and in your newer model of this fridge, youve added side vents that arent included in the specs and wont fit the opening. We finally came to a solution on October 31 and she 100% guaranteed that the new fridge would arrive on November 14 at the latest. On November 17th, I called at the end of the day to say I still hadnt received the fridge, not that I was surprised at this point. She committed to getting back to me once she found out where it was. She left me a message at noon the following day to say that the fridge was with a local delivery company and she would call back when she had a time estimate. I called again today, November 19, and left another message. Its been almost 3 months since I could use my fridge properly. I still have to mop up the leaking water and theres a whole section of the fridge I cant even put food in, not to mention no ice or water. She did offer me $150 as repayment for food spoilage, but I have not seen hide nor hair of that either. This is the WORST experience Ive ever had with an electronics manufacturer and I still have no idea when it will be resolved.

This time, I spoke to a very nice young gentleman and he came back with, Samsung does extend the warranty for one time repairs, and said he could help me. So he took care of scheduling a repair and after 3 tries of installing a new computer in the microwave, the last one finally worked. After spending several hours on chat with Samsung and 1-1/2 hours on hold I was given a service company in our Des Moines market of 500K people (they have only one). I called them and was told it would be 2 weeks before they can get there. So I called around Des Mioines to get someone to fix the unit and no one would service a Samsung. I called Lowes where I bought the unit and they were able to have someone out in two days. The evaporator had gone bad so it is under the 5 year warranty but we are now waiting 10 more days to get someone out to install it. Beware of Samsung customer service and response time when you consider a purchase.
