We purchased a Model DW80J3020US Dishwasher from Lowes December 30, 2015. This dishwasher did not clean the dishes as well as our old Kenmore which was 11 years old. On May 8, 2016 the dishwasher quit working completely (no power on light). I telephoned Samsung support and was advised that a local repair shop would contact us within 24 - 48 hrs. We did not receive any contact and when I called Samsung back on May 11, 2016 they informed me that a company known as Precision Television at 800 603-2433 would set an appointment for repair. I phoned Precision Television and they informed me that they DID NOT SERVICE SAMSUNG DISHWASHERS. I telephoned Samsung again and was told that Precision Television (aka Precision Services) was the company that was going to service our dishwasher. Another contact to Precision Television proved useless and they again informed me that they had no technician for service calls and did not service Samsung dishwashers! Two more calls to Samsung (the last call was May 13, 2016) resulted in the representative telling me that another repair service, Lehmans Appliance would take care of the service. It has been 5 days since the service order was referred to Lehmans Appliance and they have not called me and have not answered 6 messages that I left. I have to assume that Samsung does not honor their warranty.

In 2013 purchased a Samsung Side-by-side SS Refrigerator Model RS26TDR from Lowes. Worked good for about 8-9 months; came home & found the temperature in refrigerator was 60+ degrees; lost all food - called repairman to fix it & filed a loss on homeowners insurance [I had a rider to cover refrigerator loss]; worked great for about 7 more months; came home & found the same thing. This time in addition to losing food we lost at least $1,000 in **. Called repairman & filed a loss on insurance--has a $500 limit less $100 deductible so I didnt really get anything for the drug loss. Went & purchased a new Whirlpool French Door to replace it & moved it into laundry room to use for drugs which take up at least 1/4 of the space. Was working ok as far as I knew & last week came home & found the same problem 60+ degrees in refrigerator & around 0 in freezer.Cleaned everything out & called a repairman--will not work on Samsung appliances; called every repairman in our area - no one would come. Was told I would have to call a Nationwide Repair Company & gave me a phone number. When I called the minimum trip & diagnosis would be around $200 - then there would be labor & parts charged for repair. Also could not come for at least a week. I had to have a refrigerator to store ** & other drugs requiring refrigeration. Called insurance & cannot file a 3rd claim on same appliance so Im out another refrigerator of food & hoping it was caught early enough not to damage the **. I went out & spent $250 on a used refrigerator for the drugs. Have been researching online & found out that Samsung knew they had this problem, did not do a recall & ended up getting the class action suit against them cancelled. I will never ever buy anything Samsung again.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator RS263TDR from my local Lowes store. About 18 moths later ice would collect on the back wall & water at the bottom of the fridge department. I called Samsung customer service and they advised me to go to a local certified Samsung repair shop. After the first year, Samsung customer service told me that these parts are not under warranty, repair cost $275.00. Just a few months later the ice maker was defective and water level was out of adjustment and too much water would overflow over the existing ice cubes. The ice cubes would become just one big block of ice and a sensor was dangling in the ice maker area. So we shut the ice maker off. A few months later the entire refrigerator shut down and we could not restart it again. Samsung technician told us that the main electronic motherboard is burnt and this is a major part and shall be covered for at least 5 years. In my disbelieve Samsung does not cover it after just one year. It is not worth it to repair this unit again! Parts and labor over $850. I had to replace my Samsung side by side refrigerator RS263TDR just after 3 1/2 years!!!

I have a Samsung side by side refrigerator. It is 9 years old. It quit cooling. This was over 6 weeks ago. I called Samsung and they referred me to NISI for service and repairs. I have been without a fridge for 8 weeks now. They have come out 3 times. Still they have not fixed the fridge or given me any guarantee that they can fix it. I have decided to cut my losses and go with another brand. Samsung fridge life max is 8-10 years. Their service is terrible! A word to the wise. Steer clear of this product.

We have the same problems as so many others! Water/ice under crisper drawers. Warranty has expired - OF COURSE. Unfortunately, we bought all new household appliances in 2012. EVERY SINGLE APPLIANCE has had problems, the fridge is only the latest. The washer....spitting water out from the dispenser tray and the drum seal leaking as well. Stove, fan, element, dishwasher quit working completely and had to be replaced and now the refrigerator. The only one covered by warranty was the dishwasher. I swear, they have timers in these things setting them to fail.

RB217ABPN - Purchased 11/06/09. Started noticing water in the fruit bin. Called for repair dept. Was told maybe we would have to pay for repairs, but go to simulator samsung.com. We did but it was not available for our refrigerator. Went to youtube. My husband took the refrigerator apart like shown. Once we removed the panel, we noticed it was all rusted on one side, the screws were not all in to hold the fan in place and one side of the panel is cracked in several places. Put back together. Hopeful it will work, but will be out looking for a new refrigerator since I dont think rust and cracked panel can be good. Nothing last long anymore.....

We bought an elec. Samsung stove top and oven combo because home was wired for elec. We had a Whirlpool before and it was great. This $2000.00 Samsung is pure junk. Burners are way too hot and cycle on and off all the time. The surface is also very hard to clean. We like nothing about this thing. Please dont buy. It is the absolutely awful. It looks good but, that the only good thing we have to say about it. Just would like one that works like a stove top should and be somewhat easy to clean with a constant temp. Samsung 30-in Smooth Surface 5-Element 5.8-cu ft Self-Cleaning with Stream Slide-in Convection Electric Range [Stainless Steel] Price was $1,799.00. Impossible to make candy or anything that needs constant temp.

It freezes anything in the drawers. Were constantly breaking out the ice. Not able to find the source of the water, but we suspect defrost runoff. $1800 fridge gone bad in 3 years. WASTE OF MONEY. We bought a Samsung side by side refrigerator on July 2013. We were so proud to get a top-notch refrigerator, with cold water and ice maker. Six months later the food in the refrigerator started freezing. We remedied it with turning the temp indicator all the way down. It still froze some of the food. We threw away countless heads of frozen lettuce and frozen tomatoes. We still were not very upset, thinking it was only temporary. A year and 2 weeks later, there started to be a grinding noise from behind the freezer. The warranty had expired so we called a repairman. He was here looking at the fridge for about 1 half hour, and I asked him what the problem was. He said, The main problem is you bought a Samsung. I didnt understand. Now he said the whole back end of the freezer compartment is completely iced over and the evaporator fan is burned out. He said it would take 2 or 3 weeks to get a part. It remedied a part of the problem, but now it keeps freezing over and we have to manually defrost it every 3 weeks. We have to wait for all the ice to melt and put towels on the floor around it to keep from damaging the floor. We have decided to live with this problem until we can save up enough money to buy a new refrigerator. We dont think it will be a Samsung. We bought a 55 inch Samsung Ultra High Definition Television 2 and half years ago. We couldnt be any happier with the clear picture and excellent sound. Our suggestion to Samsung would be to get out of the appliance business and stick to making goods that you do best. Our trust is broken with the snazzy-looking refrigerator with all the bells and whistles.

We were in immediate need of a new refrigerator when we moved into our new home back in 2015. I regret not reading reviews, but I assumed that Samsung was a reputable company, and weve been pleased with our Samsung televisions (we have 6) so I purchased this $3000 refrigerator based on how it looked. The icemaker was problematic from the beginning. At first it just took a long time for ice to dispense and cubed ice never really came out cubed. Then I started noticing ice build-up underneath the crisper drawers. Then the icemaker stopped working because it froze up.I called Samsung and they asked if I had an extended warranty. Basically, they did not offer any remedies although they acknowledged that this is a known problem. So repair would be at my cost although this is a manufacturer defect. We planned to replace all our appliances with Samsung units, but I will never purchase another Samsung appliance because they obviously do not stand behind their products. Im very disappointed.

Ice maker will constantly freeze over. Inside the back panel will turn into a block of ice freezing up the fan. Very expensive for an appliance that lasts four years (or less). Save yourself the hassle and money and roll the dice on another brand. Purchased July 2015. Must replace after only 4.5 years. Thats pitiful for a $2000+ appliance. While out shopping to replace ALL the Samsung refrigerators appear to have the same basic mechanisms inside. I wouldnt take the chance.

We purchased our very expensive Samsung fridge, French doors, freezer on the bottom. March of 2017. After 6 months we had issues with the drawers and shelves cracking and breaking. Not only are the parts cheaply made but almost a $1000 in warranty calls with Lowes has been spent on trying to fix the ice maker. It is a vicious cycle. The entire thing freezes over, we have to defrost it then wait for the entire unit to reset. When we DO have ice, the ice doesnt Staub cold, water leaks all over the inside and outside of the fridge and into the floor. We are so sick of this issue. We have only had the unit for 2 years and were STUCK with it!

My refrigerator stopped working on 11-19-11. There was a lot of water on the floor and the refrigerator and freezer were both warm. I contacted Sears and was advised that someone would be out on 11-21-11 to repair. That did not happen. I called Sears again and a repair technician came out on 11-22-11. Said he replaced a filter and recharged with coolant. Told me should be cold in a couple of hours. At 4pm, it was still warm. I called Sears again. Repair technician came out on 11-23-11, told me there was a major leak in the cabin part of the refrigerator. He said they would order the part and it would be shipped directly to my home but of course that will not be until next week repair said they would be back on 12-1-11 to repair. I only had this refrigerator for six months. Its the day before Thanksgiving and I have no refrigerator. This is depressing.

There is a class action lawsuit against Samsung. All their refrigerators have a problem with freezing up. It is very dangerous for your kids or the elderly because the fridge will run about 40-50 degrees but will say 38 on the temp. So your food could be going bad and you wouldnt know. Im surprised that no one has gotten sick and/or died and taken them to court for the culpability. They clearly know that they have a design flaw. If you look up Samsung refrigerator problems, you will find thousands and thousands of reports. It is a worldwide design flaw. I am surprised that they are not providing a fix to customers. They wanted $200 to fix it. They are a bunch of dishonest crooks. I wont buy another Samsung product in my lifetime.

I just purchased all new Samsung kitchen appliances. The dishwasher was broken. It ran, but would not turn off even when I opened the door. I had to turn off circuit breaker. Called Lowes, and they replaced with a new one. They were great about it as I said I did not intend on having to pay my contractor a second time to install it, they completed the installation. Now it runs, but does not dry dishes. I purchased the rinse agent as I was advised, used it, still does not dry dishes. Today I used the sanitize option which was suggested in manual to get dishes dry...still not dry. I also have a very bad smell coming from dishwasher when there are no dirty dishes in it. It smells like garbage. So today I called Lowes and spoke to my salesman. I am NOT going to re-purchase a Samsung. He is going to have his department manager call me tomorrow. Again, I dont want to pay installation, but either way I am so disappointed. So far I am happy with refrigerator, stove, and microwave, but have only had them two weeks.

Bought my Samsung French Door/Bottom Freezer Refrigerators at Sears In 2012 and I have had problem after problem. After about 6 months of owning it there was ice buildup. We did buy the extended warranty so that covered the fix but a year after that the same thing happened but this time the fridge was no longer cooling at all and it had ice. Once again they came out and fixed it. I got tired of calling for repairs so I started removing the ice from the back as needed the best I could. Also the ice machine went completely out so I just bought ice trays. About 2 years ago the freezer gave out completely. I called a repair person but it was going to be over $800 to fix. It was blocked with ice on the bottom once the ice was removed. Now it doesn’t cool down at all. This fridge is a $2,000 piece of junk. NEVER AGAIN. I should have went with a cheap basic fridge.

POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD: Samsung dw80f600uts Dishwasher - This has been the worst appliance experience ever. Dishwasher worked fine for about the first 18 months. Then, on occasion, it would give an error code (Smart Auto and Heavy would flash). If we stopped and restarted it, it would usually run through the cycle. We are a family of only 2 adults, so we are not hard on it, nor do we run it more than 1 to 2 times per week due to handwashing some dishes (as the dishwasher cycle is VERY LONG... like 3 hours)! This morning the dishwasher stopped and gave error message, I tried to stop and restart. No luck. Then, while I had the door open, it started on its own!! (ID CALL THIS A SAFETY HAZARD). With all the complaints about this unit, I would think that Samsung would do a recall, or an optional recall, so at least those with issues can get unit corrected on Samsungs dime. We are choosing not to pay to have it fixed, as the reviews show that most have had to have fixed multiple times. Would rather buy a different brand than invest more in this faulty model.

Very good fridge/freezer except that it has expensive water filters and since purchase, the water was not draining properly and evaporating in the drip pan. Water turns to ice until it fills up toward the front of the fridge and then overflows out the front and onto the kitchen floor. Samsung seems to accept no responsibility for this very common flaw with the side by side fridge with bottom drawer freezer. All over Youtube but requires disassembling back portion of fridge to fix drain clogging. Not sure if it is a final fix for the problem.

This oven was not cooking the way it was sold and advertised so I call and had it worked on and it did not do anything about the way I cook.To make a long story told I had it worked on 7 times and to this day it was going to be exchanged. That told me if I had the problem 4 time it would be switched out. That was a lie and am very upset so I have your product that works worse than my old one. The ones carried by Lowes dont work in our fridge and cant get them anywhere else without ordering online and risking it being the wrong filter. Believe it or not, the notches on one part of the filter are different from the ones carried by Lowes. So far Samsung has said that the filter from their website, which will cost me more money because of shipping charges, is the one that works. Yeah, well see. Have had my $3000 Samsung Refrig for just over 5 years. Similar results as everyone else here... the fridge began acting up approx. 6 mos. ago... since then have had 6 service calls to fix. Seems after replacing the ENTIRE back inside panel for $200, fridge is working, but now freezer is not. Cannot even begin to explain how FRUSTRATING AND EXACERBATING this experience has been. Made numerous calls and emails to Samsung, even got bounced up to their VIP Customer Service (for those of us who have had POOR service issues) and they do NOTHING!!! Since is out of warranty, were on our own! I own many Samsung products including washer/dryer, cell phones, TVs, and now will begin buying other brands as I get rid of every Samsung product in my home. There are OBVIOUSLY design defects/flaws in their refrigerator designs (as the serviceman told me also!) and they know it. They keep coming out with these fixes for things... of course, which are NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. So we have to continue to pay for these. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED WITH SAMSUNG IN GENERAL. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL GET WHAT IS COMING TO THEM. I DONT EVEN WISH TO GIVE THEM ONE STAR... THEYRE NOT WORTH IT!!

I want this to be replaced! Im at my wits end. Next step is BBB. I did buy the extended warranty from Lowes, but it will expire in January and then Im stuck with a lemon. Samsung, stick to tvs.

$700 dishwasher started acting up 9 months after purchase. Kept shutting down before going through full cycle. Dishes were very dirty. We called for repair since they would also be there for the second repair on the microwave (bought at the same time). A circuit board was replaced and lasted 4 months before breaking down right before July 4th barbecue with 80 people. I spent the next couple weeks talking with various people. 3 times made it to their executive customer relations level. Was sent two emails confirming a one-time repair as we were now out of warranty. Received a final call informing me they have no one to service the machine, I was out of warranty and they would not service, despite previous agreement to service. So what happens when they sell extended warranties at the point of purchase, if they have no one to service the product? I called an independent service company. They advised me not to have it serviced. States Samsung has chronic problems with their circuit boards. To quote, They make great phones, they should quit there. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance. I spec products for kitchen renovations. You can be sure they will NEVER be on my list!

We bought a model NE58H9950WS chefs collection slide in range in early 2015. It belongs in a museum, not a kitchen because it looks beautiful but is useless. Preheat the oven to 425*, put a tray of cold food in and an hour later food is still uncooked and temperature is down to 300*. Tried to cook a frozen lasagna that was supposed to take 1 hour at 350 and after 2.5 hours was still cold in the middle. If you cook something like cookies or a pizza it is OK because they have so little mass they dont soak up the heat but anything that weighs more than a couple of pounds simply overwhelms the ovens ability to reheat.Samsung made 2 service calls under warranty and the replaced everything but the problem persists to this day. I noticed they have discontinued this model and taken down all of the negative reviews but the issue of their ovens not holding temperature is not limited just to this model. There are countless other reviews mentioning the exact same issue. Samsung even tries to disclaim the warranty of merchantability in their paperwork, which is a joke since it basically says they can make an oven that doesnt work and theres nothing you can do about it.I would urge anyone to avoid SAMSUNG products. There is a reason they are rated 23rd out of 23 brands on this site for ranges and stoves. It is because their products are junk. I have filed suit in small claims court (fortunately my state has limits on the warranty disclaimers which invalidate it) and will be getting my money back one way or another. Then I will buy another brand of range. This one costs $2500 and doesnt cook food!

Saved up to purchase a Samsung side by side French door refrigerator. What a disappointment. We didnt have it two years before we had problems. The ice maker stopped working and started dripping water into the refrigerator. We had to pay out of pocket to get ice maker repaired. The technician said hes had numerous calls for that same problem in Samsung refrigerators. He told us we had an expensive paper weight. That repair lasted about 90 days. Again the ice maker stopped working. We decided we couldnt afford that expensive service call; wed do without the ice maker. The refrigerator started making aloud roaring noise; the inside refrigerator temp. down to the low fifties. We had toss out food. We couldnt endure it anymore. Our stimulus check was used to buy another refrigerator. We are both handicapped and cant shop daily for food; especially during this epidemic. Im totally disgusted. I feel like weve been swindled especially since Samsung know about this problems with their refrigerators. Unfortunately; we also have a Samsung stove and dishwasher. Wed purchased all three appliances at the same time. The stove temperature isnt regulated correctly. I always have to use an oven thermometer to keep from burning my food when I bake. Id never buy another Samsung appliance. Never!

We find this refrigerator answers all our needs especially with the snack drawer. It is very attractive also. This Samsung refrigerator has lots of room with variable adjustable shelving, deep bins, and a deep freezer drawer on the bottom. The water/ice dispenser is invaluable and has the option of cubes or crushed ice. The only maintenance needed is replacing the water filter every six months. Great size and value for a family.

Own a Samsung SMH9187ST microwave. In part picked from a Consumer Report rating. Thoroughly disappointed. Has been nothing but trouble. First the rack that came with the unit, caused an arcing/burning inside the unit - had to throw the rack out. Then the Magnetron failed (wouldnt heat), after much arguing with Samsung, they finally sent someone to replace it. Then had another issue with the unit functioning (of course just past the 1 year warranty part); had to replace the sensors at the door (my cost). Then we get the SE error - the remedies online dont work, so, only solution to replace the entire control panel?? This is an extremely poor design. SAMSUNG should not have sold this design. Third appliance of theirs that has been a major disappointment. I will never buy SAMSUNG again.

I am writing a negative review as it relates to my purchased a Samsung microwave model ME16H702SES in April 2019. The microwave overheated and the paint melted at the bottom of microwave. I send pictures of the damage and was told it was cosmetic damage and the tech also told me it was the same. I followed up with a phone call and talked with several representatives and was told that their only solution was to apply metal paint. I voiced my concerns, since there was no explanation as to how this could happen. I was told about warranty and installation, but nothing to do with as it relates to a safety issues. I did go on record that I was concerned about my and my family safety, to continue to use a microwave that has overheated.

I have a model RF24FSEDBSR/AA. The ice maker repeatedly freezes up, requiring me to take a hair dryer and melt the block of ice thats formed around the internal dispenser. I usually have to do this about every month. Then, I usually have difficulty getting the ice bucket aligned so I can reinsert it. The owners manual says if it doesnt line up to turn the helix on the back of the bucket 90 degrees and try again. Ive tried repeatedly (and not just 90 degree turns) and havent had any luck. I feel like Im trying to crack the combination on a safe! The bucket sits on our kitchen counter until I calm down and regain my patience to try again. Would not get a Samsung fridge again.

Bought all new Samsung appliances when we built our house. Stove worked well at first. Liked the rapid boil burner. Right after the extended Lowes warranty expired, the rapid boil burner would go crazy. It was insanely hot no matter what temp you set it on. Burned everything youd try to cook on it. Found the problem, replaced the part. Less than a year later both front burners are doing the same thing. Also used the self-clean oven, enamel came off very badly. Its so damaged I couldnt use it. Top and bottom of the oven look like someone took a grinder to it. Deep gashes. Flaking off. Since its on the top it falls into your food. Noticed today as we were pulling it out to replace with a new range, oven actually has a hole in the bottom. Very expensive Samsung fridge is already starting to freeze items in the back of the fridge. Will never purchase another Samsung appliance. Great TVs, horrible appliances.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator model RF32FMQDBSR/AA in June of 2014, and have since had to have the ice maker replaced 3 times for a total of $1000. It originally failed just a year after the frig was purchased, so was no longer under warranty, and that bill was slightly over $500. In August of this year it failed again, and that experience cost $400. At that time the repair company said they were no longer doing warranty work for Samsung due to the issues with the ice maker. Here it is 2 months later and the icemaker has failed again. This morning the tech came out and we were charged $100 for a service call, and it is still not making ice. Samsung wont do anything about the problem. We are probably going to have to purchase a different brand of refrigerator as we have already spent 25% of what the original purchase price was for repairs. No more Samsung for me.

Bought Samsung refrigerator RF263BEAESR in 2012 and within 2 years, the ice maker failed. Samsung would not fix since it was out of warranty. I spent the next 7 years calling periodically to see if they would address their defective product. They never would - until this year! Now they agreed to replace the ice maker. However, since Ive spent 7 years chisling, blowdrying, doing whatever I could to remove the shoebox size block of ice that appears - the housing that the icemaker sits in has become disfigured. Because I damaged the housing, my ice maker cannot be replaced and they will not replace the housing. So - they make a piece of crap ice maker - I suffer 7 years of listening to strange noises, fighting an ever-growing glacier of ice, etc. - and now, after 7 years - Im at fault for damaging the ice maker housing. The ice maker started jamming right away. When we called they gave us instructions on how to clear the jam ourself. I have never had a company tell me to fix anything myself. What they told me to do did not fix it. So we called and finally got them to send a service person out. He did not put a new ice maker. He just caulked around the ice bin. Within a day it was jamming again. We called to have a service person come back and fix it. When he came he put a whole new ice maker in. No help! It is still jamming and now it is gathering ice in the chute inside the door and then when the door opens ice flies everywhere.Putting in another ice maker is not going to solve the problems we are having because the blades have too much slack in them and they go behind another blade and they hang up. We called and told them we wanted them to come and get the refrigerator and of course they refused to. The company should not be allowed to sell this kind of junk and then make people keep it. I wish we had known how bad the product was and hope everyone will beware of buying anything Samsung!

It was billed as being a better cleaning product because the spray arm goes back and forth rather than in a circular motion like traditional dishwashers. My 28 cf Samsung French door refrigerator with ice and water in the door has been acting up AGAIN. It was fine for the first year, then the bottom of the icemaker (above the ice bin) started frosting over. Luckily I had used Discover who honored their free year of extended warranty. The repairman replaced the control unit and said the problem had to do with the heater of the icemaker that heats the ice to let it release. $400 but Discover sent me a check. The problem started to reoccur several months later and now, 10 months later the icemaker is once again not dropping ice because it is blocked by frost. The ice is not as hard as it should be and I get water out of the icemaker before I get ice. The fridge is set at 35, but is 40 on a thermometer. I called the same repair place. Only a 90-day warranty on the part. They arent doing Samsung (or LG) anymore. The parts take too long to come in and they get too many callbacks. Great. It was a good repairman, now Ill be at the mercy of the schmucks that Samsung sends. There should be a class action suit. The mfg has a duty to produce a product that performs the function is it meant to do. Its call warranty of merchantability I think. Sony got sued once for larger screen TVs that failed in less than 4 years and they did an extended warranty for those sets. I think this fridge could be the same.Updated 12/08/2016: I am updating my review from 12/2/16. I googled the problem of ice buildup and refrigerator being warm. My ice was soft and I called the company that did the repair less than one year ago for frost buildup on the ice maker. They told me it is only a 90 day warranty on the parts and labor for the repair (part warrantied by Samsung for only 90 days!). They also told me they no longer service Samsung and LG.For Samsung part of the reason is that the parts take up to a month to get and also they got a lot of callbacks on the Samsung jobs. I had had trouble even finding anybody to work on it last year so I hope I can keep fixing it myself... I took the advice I found online and tried to defrost the ice maker using codes. It worked a little, but I had to resort to a hair dryer and melt the ice off the underside of the ice tray and melt the ice behind the ice maker that was apparently blocking air flow to the ice maker and also the fan that circulates the fridge air. We now hear the unit turning on like it used to and the ice is better (harder). It is pathetic that the replacement control board also failed. Neither the original nor the replacement lasted a full year, even though the repairman had told me the part he replaced had been changed by Samsung due to a problem with it. Really seems like a class action case to me since they acknowledged the defect.

Our Samsung DMR77LHW model that we purchased as part of a kitchen renovation some 5 years ago has been a source of frustration for the last 4 years. We had it repaired twice under an extended warranty (thank God!!); the first time just a year after purchase (replaced circuit board) and then again this past winter (entire top rack, door gasket, top rotary washing arm). Between those 2 service calls (and continuing to this day), nothing but poor performance and failing parts: Brittle and broken rack clips, recurring SE error (and now a PE code yesterday!) during normal cycle, cleaned dishes and glasses with odd food particles caked on, very wet items after the drying cycle, etc. We will be replacing this piece of cr*p in the next month because we have endured it long enough. Shame on Samsung for STILL producing such low quality products 5 years after we bought our own. I thought that this manufacturer would improve its appliances based on all this consumer feedback, but apparently Samsung doesnt care about that. So, junk products + poor customer service experience = a company to boycott. Bye bye Samsung. You have lost another client. Not just for dishwashers, but your ENTIRE line of products, I.e., Mobile Devices, TV & Audio, Cameras & Camcorders, PC monitors & Printers, Home Appliances, and Memory/Storage (as per your products list at Samsung.com). We purchased our first French door Samsung refrigerator in 2011 not only because Samsung was a household name and I figured would make appliances that would outlast their warranty period but I also purchased the Samsung because aesthetically they stood out in comparison to other brands. Well I was completely WRONG about the quality and durability of Samsung appliances. Our first refrigerator was still under warranty and had to be replaced in 2015 because they no longer made the parts needed to repair the 4 year old refrigerator. This four year old refrigerator would make a loud humming noise as a result of a faulty fan motor. We made a second poor decision to purchase another Samsung refrigerator thinking they would have improved upon the issues they had with their appliances, but again we were WRONG. The issues were worse, see list of faults below that started in 2016 one year after purchase:1. Massive water leak behind the water dispenser that requires placing a large towel to catch the water to prevent potential slips and/or falls from the water from pooling on the floor. 2. The ice maker only makes a cup full of ice per day even when pressing the Power freeze button. 3. The refrigerator intermittently makes a loud humming noise.See list of actions taken to address the issues our 1 year old refrigerator is having: 1. Defrosted the ice maker by keeping doors open and using a hair dryer in order to speed up the process. 2. Sealed the crack between housing of the ice maker and the refrigerator with waterproof silicone. 3. Purchase 2- 10 lb bags of ice from Buckeyes twice a week. 4. Keep refrigerator door open for extended periods of time in order to stop the humming noise (yes we had food in it at the time) and speed up the defrost process. Even after initiating our own interventions, we continue to have problems with our Samsung refrigerator making a loud intermittent humming noise, making ice, leaking large amounts of water behind the water dispenser. The reason Im taking the time out of my busy day to share with you these issues is because Im disappointed in this product and to prevent you from making the poor decision of purchasing a Samsung refrigerator. Its not worth the money. There is absolutely no reason why anyone should spend thousands of dollars on anything that is proven not to last over 5 years. When I was growing up, my mother kept the same refrigerator from the time I was 10 years old until I graduated college. Of course repairs were required but as stated earlier, this is my second Samsung refrigerator in the span of 4 years.Yes we have a warranty but this refrigerator began to have problems a year after purchase, my expectations of Samsung setting a higher standard when it comes to quality appliances has not been met. We have had to spend time troubleshooting issues on a refrigerator that cant go the 5 year distance and take time from work to have it repaired. The model is RF24FSEDBSR and was manufactured in Sept of 2014. I still love the center drawer, but it is not enough to make up for the rest of the appliance. This is a prime example of a company that thinks highly of itself but doesnt care that it sells absolute junk. The number of problems and repairs for the ice maker, add up to this being the worst purchase I have ever made and that is saying something. I have put up with months and months of temporary fixes, thawing with hairdryers, mopping up pooling water on the floor of the refrigerator section and just doing without ice.Recently, I have had 3 service calls for the ice maker. The ice maker freezes solid and wont dispense ice. Then, I need to move all my refrigerated food to a cooler and my frozen food to the outside freezer; turn off the entire unit for 2 days, with both doors propped open; and put an air circulator/warmer inside, just so the repairman can pry the completely frozen icemaker out without cracking the wall of the refrigerator. On the last service call, he replaced the entire ice maker for about $550.00. My total out of pocket for repairs and service is about $850.00. I fully expect that amount to grow. Now, it sort of works, but makes very little ice, (which will not be enough with summer coming).I cannot get cubed ice, just crushed ice; there is water dripping down the front of the refrigerator and it is a constant source of aggravation. Samsung wasnt sympathetic or helpful when I talked with them, and they suggested that I should have purchased their 5-year Samsung Service Agreement for $1750.00 when I had a chance. Really? They were supposed to call me back (within 24 hours) 10 months ago, and Im still waiting. Complete waste of time, money, effort, energy and resources. Do not ever buy a Samsung refrigerator because they are expensive junk, was the advice of my repair person, who has owned an appliance repair business for many years. I could have saved myself lots of frustration, and money, if I had done my research.

I am extremely disappointed that my 18 month old Samsung Refrigerator RF263BAESR - French Door started experiencing issues. Samsung does not stand by its product and the expense of fixing it has caused me to junk it and buy a new one. The refrigerator is constantly freezing up and then it warms up and ruins all the contents. There seems not to be a fix except to defrost overnight every few months. What is that all about in a self defrosting product? I plan never to buy another Samsung product.

WE purchased a Samsung oven/range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave 5 years ago. We have now been told, that the heating element part for our oven has been discontinued and not available. I called Samsungs recommended parts supplier and the part was not in stock. I called two reputable appliance repairs shops and they informed me that the part was discontinued by Samsung and not available. So after only 5 years, we need to purchase a new oven/range. It will not be a Samsung.

No working fridge for 4 months and counting. I purchased the Samsung 22.3 Cu Ft counter deep Side-by-side refrigerator with thru the door ice and water - stainless steel. Model RS22HDHPNSR on March 21st, 2015. This fridge was to be the center piece of my kitchen renovation. It was my one big shiny splurge, costing me $2100. My fridge worked fine from March 2015 until November 2016, when it stopped compressing cold air. Since the parts were still under warranty Samsung agreed to have technicians from A&E electrical come to my home in Northern California SIX times over a period of FOUR months to replace the compressor, a 4-way valve and a motherboard. They have also reduced the pressure on something and then the next time increased the pressure on that same part. According to my calculations Samsung has paid over $1400 to fix my fridge, which is inefficient for this company and extremely frustrating and time-consuming for me. Each time a technician comes to my home they try to fix it and they cant. When a technician does come to my home it is not trivial. I have to take time away from work and wait for them to arrive over a 4 hour period (9 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to 5 pm). There have been two occasions when the technician had to reschedule because he had overbooked his schedule and one occasion when the technician just didnt turn up and didnt even call to reschedule. When the technician does actually turn up and has attempted to fix my fridge and failed, I immediately call Samsung and then have to explain my situation all over again. I then have to wait for another 2-3 weeks before a technician can come out again. And then the same thing happens all over again! Im at the point now where I have had the fridge finally deemed as unrepairable by a technician and have sent in my proof of purchase and the technicians report to executive customer services by email. Ive also threatened to take legal action if I am not compensated immediately because 4 months without a fridge and two young boys is physically and mentally quite miserable. For me $2100 is just too much money to throw away so I have no choice but to keep fighting this corrupt company. I am very disappointed that Samsung customer service have threaded me along for so long.

Horrible!!! DO NOT buy a Samsung dishwashers!!! We bought a Samsung dishwasher in October of 2016 (model # DW80F600UTS). Almost immediately we noticed a putrid smell coming from inside the dishwasher. We tried every kind of cleaner from vinegar, store brand cleaners, lemon flavored Kool-Aid... you name it, we tried it. Called Samsung (can hardly understand a word theyre saying) and they told me to keep the door open when not using it!? Seriously!?? Who does that??? Next we started noticing rusty spots on our silverware. Then within 6-8 months of getting it, it stopped working completely! After going through a big hassle with customer service and having to prove to them we only had it for a couple of months, they sent someone to repair it, only to have it break down again a few months later!! But this time it was no longer covered under their 1 year warranty, so it cost us $147 to have a serviceman come out to tell us we needed a new part! So then Samsung calls (again can barely understand them) and says they will replace our dishwasher. GREAT we think They are FINALLY doing the right thing! After all we have been without a working dishwasher now for over a month. BUT... the case will need to be reviewed first!? OK??? Well 3 weeks later, we get an e-mail saying it has been approved. So I call them to see what steps I need to take to get our new dishwasher. After being put on hold for at least 30 min. I am told they are unable to replace it because they no longer have our model in stock! WHAT!?! I was just told less than an hour ago it was approved!! What the heck!!! So I asked to speak to a supervisor who is absolutely NO help. She just says all they will do is refund us the cost of our piece of crap dishwasher. So almost 2 months later we still do not have a working dishwasher and are out $147 for a repairman to tell us we have a piece of crap dishwasher! Samsung does NOT stand behind their products, and they certainly do NOT care about their customers!!!

I purchased Samsungs top-of-the-line French-door Refrigerator Model no. RF4287HARS and dishwasher DMT800RHS from Lowes in November 2010. The dishwasher broke down within just a few weeks. It took 3 weeks to get parts, then a week later it broke again. Eleven months after purchase, the LCD panel started acting up on the fridge. Some icons no longer work, and the right side fridge door wont seal very well so items dont stay cold. After several frustrating calls to Lowes for service, I finally got a call from their authorized repair person who told me its not under warranty any more. We argued and I had to call Lowes again where I was assured it is under warranty still. I got another call from the service person telling me Samsung told them its not under warranty. And again, another call to Lowes where I am told its under warranty. The next day, I got a call from Lowes telling me that it was never registered as sold with Samsung so theyre using the manufacturing date for the 1-year warranty date. I had registered the appliances when I bought them but Lowes hadnt bothered to inform Samsung.A day or so later I got another call saying Samsung has now been informed of the sale date and that its under warranty. Now I cant get anybody to work on Samsung. Even their authorized repair centers say they wont work on Samsung appliances anymore because Samsung wont reimburse them for mileage for the numerous trips it takes to repair a Samsung product, extreme difficulty obtaining parts, and Samsung is an extremely slow payer. I talked to Samsung and asked if they would pay for the parts if I paid a service person and they refused. I offered to pay the service centers myself and they refused to even come look at it. I now have a $2,800 piece of junk and it looks like Im going to have to sue Samsung.

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher (Model #DW80H9930US) from Tasco, on the advice of Tascos salesman. It was installed in November 2014. I had also purchased a 5 year warranty. By June 2015 my dishwasher was no longer working. I went into Tasco who told me I had to contact my warranty provider, who in turn advised that Samsung held the initial warranty for the first year. I contacted Samsung at the beginning of July and was told a technician would call. I never received a call. Two weeks later I contacted them again and as everyone has previously mentioned, the wait times are approximately 30 minutes to speak with someone at the first level customer service. A woman finally booked a date to have a technician come out. I waited all day and got a call from someone to then set up another date that was approximately 3 weeks later. The technician came to my home and I advised him that the soap dispenser was not opening. He attached his computer to my dishwasher and told me the waterfall technology was not working and my motor was defective, which in turn was why the soap was not opening. He advised they would be ordering a new motor and I would get a call within 2 weeks to set up another appt. He also told me off the record this dishwasher consistently breaks down and is not a good buy. I had to remove my baseboard for that visit noting the dishwasher is built in. He never left the name of his company or anything with me. 3 weeks later I still had not heard from anyone. I contacted Samsung again to speak with someone and they told me they would be in touch. I called again 3 days later and after 30 min and going through the story each time -- got disconnected. In August I finally called and was put through to the Executive department because I was told I could not speak to management. I spoke with a Brian representative ** who was extremely rude and just flat out told me that they would not even consider replacing the unit, even noting the issues wrong with it so early on and the reviews I had read. He gave me an email address sdr.seca@samsung.com to send through a complaint as there never seems to be a manager consumers can speak with. I sent an email with my issues on August 12 and then a follow up on August 18th, 2015, and have never received a response from Samsung. I called 2 more times and was still unable to get a technician or call back. In October I went back to Tasco for help and was told I should have contacted them for service. I contacted Tasco who then in turn left me hanging until the end of November. On Thursday, November 26, I received a call from a Peter ** at Samsung and was told the delay of 6 months was because I did not call the technician back to let him know the baseboard had been removed. That the dishwasher was not properly diagnosed and they dont even know what is wrong with it. He was reading very different information than anyone else I had spoken to and basically told me I was lying that it was the motor. He was so rude, condescending, and when I asked for his managers phone number, he gave me a wrong number. At this point I have a dishwasher that has not worked for 5 months and cannot get Samsung to help me at all. At this time, I would like the dishwasher replaced and it is now out of warranty. At this time I do plan to take Samsung and Tasco to small claims court if I have to, noting I have a dishwasher that does not work and now its out of the manufacturers warranty. I will never purchase or recommend a Samsung appliance to anyone and will deter anyone from them. I would not want anyone to have to endure the stress and frustration I have had to deal with and still have not had the problem rectified. So disappointing.

Samsung RF262AEWP/XAA Freezer side rails failed TWICE. Within the first year, the freezer side rails failed. The ball bearings all came out. And the rails had to be replaced. That was two years ago. Now, it just happened again. Unfortunately, the fridge is no longer under warranty. I now have to call for a repair and the rails alone will be upwards of $75 each. It is recommended that both rails are replaced at the same time, and the authorized Samsung repair center refused to tell me if I would be charged the Samsung list price of $75 for each rail, or if they had a higher price.

The young lady that answered was trying her best, but without support from higher ups or Samsung what good is it? This service center has only has one technician Really??? On Friday 4/14/17 my 1 1/2 year old Samsung refrigerator had iced up so I unplugged it and defrosted it. Upon start up the display and controls did not work so I called Samsung service. Samsung service supposedly set up a service appointment for the unit to be service Monday morning (they gave me a reference number). I took off work only to get a call from a repair company to set up an appointment. I asked to be transferred to Samsung. A Samsung employee answered and after I started telling her my problem she hung up. I called back and Jose answered this time. He spoke broken/heavily accented English and after being no help in getting a repair person out today, I asked to be forwarded to a manager. He put me on hold, came back after 5 minutes and said he was forwarding me to a manager. After waiting another 5 minutes on line Samsungs system cut me off. I called back a third time and the only thing they did for me was to contact a repair company to set up an appointment. I lost 4 hours of pay waiting on the service that never came. Samsung has poor products and even poorer service. I will never buy another Samsung product again.

The oven stop working 13 months after the purchase date. I called the customer service center to discuss how disappointed and upset I was about the faulty equipment we were sold. What really upset me is the repair company they referred me to order parts before coming out to examine the refrigerator which lead me to believe the problem with the ice maker was a known issue. The same thing happen when the repair company called about the stove. Im so frustrated they knew of the issue with these appliances and dont have a problem passing the repair bill to the consumers. I owned GE appliances for years. Ok this will be a bit long: I got my kitchen remodeled Nov 2020. Purchased all 5 Samsung appliances, from Best Buy. Had issue with every one except the microwave which we dont use much of. I have been on hold for Samsung Case managers for over 2 1/2 hrs. So I figured I would kill time by leaving this review so no one else will have to go thru what I have, and currently am going thru. My issues started about 2 mos of installation. First issue was my cooktop. Kept giving out error code and wouldnt turn on. Then it wouldnt turn off. At the same time my ice maker was freezing over and wouldnt dispense ice. The ice maker issue got resolved, then I realized my refrigerator was freezing my food, noticed it with my eggs. Tech came and repaired, but happened again. Called Samsung pro talked to customer service, who tried to provide the best care they are able to, but they cant make any decisions. Because its been serviced 3 times I have the option to get my refund or replace the refrigerator. I opted to get a refund cause I dont want to take any more chances with Samsung products. I had to submit a receipt along with the ticket #. After the third attempt I was finally told that they can escalate it from customer service to a Case Manager. Unfortunately these Case Managers are hard to get a hold of. This process began November 17, 2021. Today is December 2, 2021. I was first told a case manager was going to contact me within 3-4 business days, I get no calls, no emails then on November 30th I get a short generic email stating that they made several attempts to contact me and if I can call them back at 1-800-Samsung at my earliest convenience. As soon as I got the email I called 1-800-Samsung and got customer service who informed me that the department they need to transfer me to is closed. I asked her if she can send them an email and have them call me, because I did not receive any calls from them, I had no miss calls, no messages, she said she did, still no calls or emails. Today I have the day off so here I am typing this review, still on hold 3 hrs later. I live in Hawaii and their office hours are 9-9 EST. I am grateful I have an extra fridge in the garage to store my things. In addition to my refrigerator issue, I am awaiting a claim ticket for a third service call on my double oven, which has super uneven heating. I am beyond frustrated. So save yourself the frustration and stay away from Samsung. For some reason the newer models are not quality. Doesnt work properly and even though warranty seems to be good on paper, its almost impossible to get thru.

Own two Samsung refrigerators, one in FL one in NJ, both have continuous freeze problems. Very unfortunate, as I also own Samsung ranges (electric & gas) as well as 2 stainless dishwashers, with no problems. The larger refrigerator 4 doors, rf4287HARS, freezes up below the freezer drawer, while the 3 door model freezes up below the vegetable & meat drawers. Samsung doesnt want to know you if out of warranty, even though its clearly a design flaw. Shortly after the warranty expired, the larger fridge digital panel readout stopped working. Despite the bad reviews for the Samsung slide in stove, I was smitten by the good design. Moreover, online specifications (since changed by Samsung, but I still have the original) offered a broad range of heights to fit a higher counter top than average. For the last 10 months since its purchase, I kept the stove top like-new, wiping carefully with baking soda if necessary, after every use. With no apparent reason, the stove cracked in the middle and NOT EVEN when in use. It happened literally overnight. A straight crack, it was deemed a heat crack (isnt this a stove?) and the warranty covered its replacement. Still, there should be NO excuse for any product to be so shoddy. I have read about multiple cases of other cracks, some considered the consumers fault, but I doubt it. This and other appliances with absurdly short planned obsolecence should be regulated and the consumers should be better protected.

OMG, Samsung refrigerators are totally worthless. We have had so many problems and service calls with our new Samsung fridge. Talk about, sounds like an airplane? Yes, it has something to do with the air circulation fan behind the thermostatically controlled shelf. The noise starts as a humming and moves on to a machine gun, hard click about once every half second. It started when the machine was new and happened 3 more times. The 1st and 2nd time we had it repaired. Today we are hauling away this nearly new machine. We loved this machine when we were shopping for a new fridge. We got this one because it had a dual compressor and a special thermostatically controlled drawer. Love and joy ended real fast because those are things that broke first. (We are 2 old people and we hardly go into the refrigerator -- so you cant blame any problems on kids and abusive overuse.) We hear our problem this week is a broken diverter -- will only be a mere $750 to fix. Right now our shiny, stainless unit is sitting on the sidewalk. Our fabulous new fridge from Home Depot is a top of the line LG for several hundred $ less than $2000 -- LG getting about 5 stars from reviews. Now that Im looking at general reviews about Samsung, everything they make seems to be horrible. How could that be?! We used to buy a ton of Samsung stuff -- not anymore. There are so many little, bad issues with this fridge and I see nearly 1500 complaints (a lot of them from 2015!). All I can say is -- get an LG from Costco or Home Depot -- they seemed to have the best price, haul away fee, etc.

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator (Model: RS277) almost 4 years to date. Ice maker will no longer make ice. After calling the service center, they dispatched a service call. When the representative called to schedule an appointment, they wanted $160 to come out and diagnose the issue. I dont agree with paying $2,800 for an item and getting 4 years of good use out of it, nor do I feel I should have to continue to invest in this item to keep it working, especially in this short period of time. I spoke to an Executive Relations representative, and they were of no assistance either. Pretty much sticking to their guns of driving revenue to service their junk. If you are shopping for a refrigerator, I strongly discourage you from buying Samsung. I certainly never will again.

We paid almost $700.00 for this dw80f600uts dishwasher, first trouble within 6 months of installation. We contacted Samsung. We basically got the run-around until the dishwasher was out of warranty. They told us they would send a technician but we were never contacted back. We have an extremely busy schedule and I cannot afford to take a day off work so someone can look at my dishwasher. This dishwasher was one of the more expensive dishwashers when we purchased it. We were told it was extremely high quality, better than BOSCH which was in the same price range. We had a Bosch at our old home. It lasted 6 years (may still be running today?) without a problem.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator from Croma, Bangalore on 17/10/2014. Model number FF253LRT27HAJMASE. In June I noticed that some food particles in the plastic grid in freezer. My shock I found that the plastic grid is lined with Thermocol, obviously it cannot be cleaned properly because Thermocol is a porous material and particles got embedded in the same. My grievance is - why make a grid in the base of freezer compartment which cannot be cleaned by the user? Secondly, why use Thermocol embedded in the grid so it impossible to clean and subsequently it will develop fungus. The design is absolutely defective. In the door of the fridge, there are only two and a quarter racks, why like normal fridges 3 or 4 racks have not been provided?
