Ticket **. My fridge stopped working under warranty and it was diagnosed as a bad compressor & Freon leak. They would fix the compressor the following week, but couldnt fix the Freon leak. So they would return with a new compressor and still not fix the issue? Yes, it was the Samsung policy. I called customer service and complained that I had a client (renter) arriving the following day. After hours on the phone, Samsung relented and offered a full refund. I went out and bought a new fridge. Now a month later, I called asking the status of the refund. They acknowledged they offered a refund, but they rescinded the refund offer stating that I refused the repair. I explained that I did not refuse the repair, I accepted the offer of the refund. After many more hours on the phone, I finally gave up. I do own 2 Samsung refrigerators, 3 televisions and just purchased a new side-by-side washer & dryer. Never again. Their new corporate mantra: Were Samsung - were here to screw with you. I am done with Samsung!

Discovered ice machine was not working properly on newly delivered refrigerator the first day in use. Contacted warranty division for repair and promised contact with 48 hrs. After 2 days without contact and again called warranty service. They reassigned repair ticket to another company. After another 4 days without contact I again called warranty division and was issued a new repair ticket number to yet another repair company. Was contacted by Samsung Tracking Service to check status of repair. Upon hearing that no contact had yet been made by repair company. Tracking Services said they would expedite repair order. After another 7 days without any other repair contact I contacted retailer (Home Depot) for return/refund. After hearing my story, agent put me on hold while she contacted assigned repair company who informed her that they had no record of repair ticket. She reissued ticket (under same number) and promised a quick contact from them. Ironically, a few hours later I was again contacted by Tracking Service inquiring as to the status of my repair. In our discussion she informed me that her records showed that the repair company had indeed received the repair ticket in the initial transmission and offered to put my case into the Samsung Resolution Department for review. As they were Samsung and has hired the (non-responsive) repair companies in question, I asked her to contact them to expedite. She proceeded to inform me that she was unable to contact their repair company on my behalf.I fail to understand what Samsungs definition of Customer Service could possibly be. They know theres a problem with your brand new Samsung Large Appliance. They know there are multiple failures (3) in their repair chain, they continue to ask you how is your repair going, but they refuse to actually step-in and take charge to resolve the problem. Instead, leaving their consumer to contend with the (obvious) dregs of the appliance repair world that theyve chosen to repair their products. Guess with everything in the recent news regarding Samsung guess I should be happy that my refrigerator hasnt blown up yet. The LAST Samsung product that will ever enter my home. Buyer beware!

I have had really a very bad experience with this fridge. This one is really not working good, it seems to have manufacturing defect. Till now I had complain 5-6 times, every time service engineer comes but the same problem persists again and again. Today also after complaining service eng came as usual and said it will take at least three days. If in this hot summer days I cant use my fridge then what is the point of buying this.

My husband and I needed a new refrigerator, after our Kenmore finally bit the dust. We opted to try a different brand, Just because, I guess we wanted a change. We went to the big-box appliance store, hoping to find something fabulous! The salesman was pleasant enough, and he seemed to be knowledgeable about all of the brands they carried. We really seemed impressed with the Samsung. It was super bright, as it was really well lit on the inside. He touted the greatness of the Cooling Door feature, telling us it would keep our milk, OJ, etc nice and cold, and offer easy access so we wouldnt have to open the whole door to get our most-used items. Its never an easy task figuring out how an empty refrigerator will work when you load it up at home.It wasnt a good thing, when the repairmen had to order a new door the day it got delivered, as it was non-functioning for the water/ice. It also was damaged, so I should have known we were in for it! Ive had the repair techs out 4 more times in 2 years. The thermostat will not keep a steady temp. It either freezes everything, or it gets dangerously warm! We lost an entire refrigerator/freezers worth of food to excessive warmth. I spoke with Samsung directly, and the rep told me to take all of the spoiled food out of the garbage, photograph it and send the photos to them! WHAT??!! It was right in the middle of the summer! No way were we going trash-picking! I purchased 2 thermometers specifically for refrigerators/freezers to monitor the temp. Never consistent... The ice dispenser leaks water down the front of the fridge, so I have to keep a washcloth on the cup holder shelf. The front of the refrigerator is stained from the water on the stainless steel all the time. The inside has a crack right where you open the door. The freezer is horrible to utilize. The top drawer doesnt pull all the way out, so you cannot reach things easily. Because of the ice maker/dispenser, the inside shelves of the door hardly hold anything! Im betting I am forgetting even more of the items that have been plaguing us since this unit was delivered. One repair tech even told me I should consider putting it out in the driveway for a garage sale, hoping someone would unload it from me! Please dont consider Samsung! They make great electronics, but appliances? NO WAY! I have a stove from Samsung that I shall also submit a review for as well.

We have a full set of Samsung black stainless kitchen appliances. We bought them two years ago. We have had the dishwasher face and bottom doors on fridge and stove replaced twice under warranty for peeling. Stove peeling again. Now we are told it’s cosmetic and not covered. If we had known it was just a film over stainless we would not have purchased. We are $4500 in appliances that look like crap. Samsung will NEVER get another dime from us.

Purchased a French door black stainless refrigerator from Home Depot in 2016. Paid about $4000 for it. The ice maker never really worked well. It leaked constantly causing calcium buildup on the catch tray. Wasn’t too long after that it began to mold around the seal. Eventually it froze up and wouldn’t make ice. I called and it was 2 weeks after year warranty expires. They offered a one time extension. The ice maker was replaced then not even 6 months later I’m having the same issue. I called to complain and was treated poorly. Told they already gave me an extension and asked how long did we expect them to be responsible for my refrigerator, 20 yrs? With sarcasm. Should have bought the LG. Will never buy ANY Samsung products again!

Upon moving into a new home, I purchased a 4-drawer Samsung refrigerator. Its beautiful and has a lot of cool features, but within 6 months the ice maker was frozen over. I contacted Samsung and they sent a repair person (theres only one in my area). He walked in and without even touching the refrigerator indicated that he could replace the parts, but Samsung hadnt done anything to truly fix the issues, so it would break in another 6 months. It didnt last that long! Within the next 8 months, it would break 3 more times. They finally agreed to replace it after the repair person refused the job the final time. They led me through a long process of providing documentation and then indicated that they couldnt find a replacement (even though they are in all of the big box stores near me), so they offered me a refund. I accepted it and they led me on an even longer documentation process -- requested paperwork piece-by-piece (first the bill of sale, then a picture of the warranty information, then a scan of the sticker on the inside of the door...), indicate they didnt receive what Id sent and ask for it to be sent again; send the wrong form and after I call, send me a new form, indicate they didnt receive it and ask for it again... This continued until I wrote an email to the Executive Vice President. I was assigned a designated contact, whose title indicated she was in the Presidents Office, who was no better than their original customer service representatives. She only assisted when I initiated the contact and what was supposed to take 5-7 days, took over 2 weeks. Upon getting my refund approval, my designated contact told that Id receive two emails -- one asking for all of the information (ignore it, she said) and a second that would request my bank information to get a direct deposit. Amazingly, Id receive the first email repeatedly, but never get the second one. I now have to wait for a check to be cut. I have already been in the process for two months and am now told that it will be an additional 2 weeks to get a check. As the check is too large to put through my banks app, I will have to drive over an hour to the nearest branch. At the time Im writing this, Florida has just entered a 30-day stay-at-home order; therefore, I will be unable to deposit it for a lengthy time. Buyer beware! While Samsung appliances look pretty (my dishwasher is also a disappointment!), they are poorly made and their warranty is painful and designed to discourage you from using it.

On Friday 4/14/17 my 1 1/2 year old Samsung refrigerator had iced up so I unplugged it and defrosted it. Upon start up the display and controls did not work so I called Samsung service. Samsung service supposedly set up a service appointment for the unit to be service Monday morning (they gave me a reference number). I took off work only to get a call from a repair company to set up an appointment. I asked to be transferred to Samsung. A Samsung employee answered and after I started telling her my problem she hung up. I called back and Jose answered this time. He spoke broken/heavily accented English and after being no help in getting a repair person out today, I asked to be forwarded to a manager. He put me on hold, came back after 5 minutes and said he was forwarding me to a manager. After waiting another 5 minutes on line Samsungs system cut me off. I called back a third time and the only thing they did for me was to contact a repair company to set up an appointment. I lost 4 hours of pay waiting on the service that never came. Samsung has poor products and even poorer service. I will never buy another Samsung product again.

We bought all new Samsung appliances one year ago. From the beginning the oven(s) would not maintain a consistent temperature. We took out the divider to make it a single oven as someone suggested, but that did not help. Two different service companies came and changed the thermostat and everything else they could to no avail. The last tech said he was sure the company would replace the stove because of the wild fluctuation in oven temperature, but he was wrong. The company said that a 30 degree variation in temperature was within acceptable parameters. I would like to see them bake something edible within their acceptable parameters. We are now stuck with a $3000 lemon.

In 2013 purchased a Samsung Side-by-side SS Refrigerator Model RS26TDR from Lowes. Worked good for about 8-9 months; came home & found the temperature in refrigerator was 60+ degrees; lost all food - called repairman to fix it & filed a loss on homeowners insurance [I had a rider to cover refrigerator loss]; worked great for about 7 more months; came home & found the same thing. This time in addition to losing food we lost at least $1,000 in **. Called repairman & filed a loss on insurance--has a $500 limit less $100 deductible so I didnt really get anything for the drug loss. Went & purchased a new Whirlpool French Door to replace it & moved it into laundry room to use for drugs which take up at least 1/4 of the space. Was working ok as far as I knew & last week came home & found the same problem 60+ degrees in refrigerator & around 0 in freezer.Cleaned everything out & called a repairman--will not work on Samsung appliances; called every repairman in our area - no one would come. Was told I would have to call a Nationwide Repair Company & gave me a phone number. When I called the minimum trip & diagnosis would be around $200 - then there would be labor & parts charged for repair. Also could not come for at least a week. I had to have a refrigerator to store ** & other drugs requiring refrigeration. Called insurance & cannot file a 3rd claim on same appliance so Im out another refrigerator of food & hoping it was caught early enough not to damage the **. I went out & spent $250 on a used refrigerator for the drugs. Have been researching online & found out that Samsung knew they had this problem, did not do a recall & ended up getting the class action suit against them cancelled. I will never ever buy anything Samsung again.

We purchased an expensive Samsung refrigerator (model # RFG297AAWP). If any water from the water dispenser does not make it into the cup, it leaks behind the clear protective plastic coating on the refrigerator door. (Obviously it was not sealed properly... a manufacturers defect.) The water leaves unsightly stains on the refrigerator door that cannot be cleaned (because it is behind the plastic coating). It is embarrassing to have company over because the refrigerator looks filthy. Its frustrating that it is not cleanable. Samsung accepts no responsibility for this because they claim it is cosmetic in nature. Yes, my refrigerator still keeps the food cold... but it looks horrendous!Furthermore, Samsung has since changed the door. I was willing to pay $300 for a new door even though the issue was Samsungs fault. However, the replacement door does not match the other door. Samsung changed the look of the doors. (The new door is more squared off and less rounded, plus the handle is higher than the handle on the second door.) My only option is to replace BOTH doors at $600. Samsung claims no responsibility and will do nothing other than let me know its my problem to deal with. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator. Their customer service is poor and they accept responsibility for nothing! Im done with Samsung!

Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF263BEAESR/AA - Due to an older house I needed to get a smaller refrigerator. It was hard to find due to all the constraints, size, height, and how far the doors could open. I was excited to find the Samsung French Door Refrigerator, because it fit with all the space constraints my home required. It was a new model so there wasnt any reviews available. Unlike my previous Samsung French Door, a larger version, that I had 7 years ago, this one makes cloudy ice. I just found out from a Samsung repair tech that this model will not make clear ice due to the way it makes ice. Also, because of some restrictions lifted on companies making refrigerators most newer models make loud noises, according to the research I found on the internet. My model sounds like someone in there is trying to get out by throwing a large rock around. It happens every 6 to 8 hours. It can wake me up from a sound sleep. I thought it was the ice maker, but I have turned it off and it still makes it. Samsung basically has made all kinds of excuses, but they havent done anything about it. Other Pros: Ive only had it since Nov 2014, going on 8 months. It so far, keeps my food cold and my freezer seems to be working fine. It has plenty of space for me. Had I known about the cloudy ice issue I may have looked into buying another brand.

RF217ACPN - Purchased this item in August 2013. Same issues here: vegetable bins and bottom of refrigerator fill up with water. Finally in Feb. 2015 (after weve spent hours on the phone, defrosting the unit, etc) Samsung granted a one-time warranty extension where they would replace that back part (where the issue is) if we paid the labor costs of their authorized repair service center. Still seemed unfair that we had to pay anything, but we were tired of dealing with it so went ahead. Im sure no one will be surprised to learn that here we are - 4 months later - with vegetable drawers full of water again. Samsung completely useless (again) on the phone, even getting upset that we called it a design flaw. Key points to know when working with Samsung. 1) if they come out for a ticket once and you disagree with there findings they will not speak to you. 2)Email correspondence stop after they have told you their decision. 3) they will accept no responsibility. 4) they simply do not care! In mid-2015 I replaced my refrigerator with the Samsung French Door/Freezer
In mid-2015 I replaced my refrigerator with the Samsung French Door/Freezer at the bottom (Model #: RF261BEAEWW/AA-0001). Two weeks ago, we noticed the icemaker abruptly stopped working. Shortly thereafter, water accumulated under the refrigerator crisper and seeped from under the right side. Not really understanding what was going on, I just cleaned it every two to three days. Now as of three days ago, I began hearing a humming/grinding noise coming from the upper rear center on the inside of the fridge. It sounded like the fan was hitting something as its spinning. It only does it when the doors are closed and you can hear it winding down when you open the door. When you close the doors, it winds up to full speed again and the loud irritating sound returns. Now, since the icemaker stopped I turned it off yet the noise is still active. While doing an inspection, I found a build up of ice in the back of the fridge.Turning to the internet for Diagnostics and DYI Repair advice, I have come across countless of sites with hundreds of complaints warning people Samsung will not recognize their horrible flaw(s) within their product. Samsung Service Centers have you open a ticket but then tell you they apparently cant fix the issue(s). Like many here, I dont have money to freely give a technician who will in turn place a Band-Aid on the problem; only for the refrigerator to disintegrate it and I succumb to the same issues month(s) later. They built the fridge and therefore they should have the ability to successfully repair it! Samsung shouldve just stuck with manufacturing electronics. I believed in their products until now. I, for one, will not be buying any of their major appliances anymore. Since they refuse to issue a recall notice on their clearly defected product I would like more information as to where and how to add my name to the lawsuit against them.

We purchased a Samsung RF323TE French Door Refrigerator with a Bottom Freezer and Ice Maker in approximately November 2012. Things were working fine until we started noticing a foul smell (like urine) coming from the water out of the dispenser. The water and ice then tasting bad as well. I thought it was the filter, so I bought a new filter, replaced it, and flushed it with several gallons of water through the dispenser as instructed. This worked for about a week, and then the problem returned. I thought I just got a bad filter, so I put a new one in and repeated the process. Shortly after, the problem is now back. I went to the Samsung website to try and troubleshoot it, but I could not find nor enter the model number. I got an error message saying the model number was not found! I have not called them, and I am not sure if we bought the extended warranty from Lowes, but the reports I have read are very discouraging. I will definitely report back, and do more research before my next purchase. Samsung will be hard pressed to get any more of my business.

It did not dawn on me this would not be an option! It also was not a cheap appliance. It was a nuisance but if that was the only issue I would deal. It also did not wash. Not even close to my old, cheap, noisy dishwasher I replaced. I will never buy another Samsung appliance- lousy products that are overpriced with poor warranties- Buyer Beware!

I would like to know how I can sue Samsung for 1) providing me a crappy product 2) Not honoring their warranty and causing me a lot of heartache by ruining my holiday weekend and my time with my family which I now have to spend cleaning dishes! Our warranty is almost up, and when it is, there goes the refrigerator. Were trying to get Lowes to replace it, since this has been a problem since the beginning, but it doesnt look like they will.

Our Samsung refrigerator has had issues since the beginning. The ice maker on top freezes up, water pools under drawer & onto the hardwood floor even though the ice maker on top is turned off. Ice accumulates behind the back panel causing the motor to grind very loudly. When we travel we turn off the water to the house to prevent water on floor. We understand a class action lawsuit has been filed & repair calls don’t fix the problem. This brand is a lemon & we want it replaced with a reliable unit.

In July 2012, we had to buy a new refrigerator because the compressor on the old one died. We usually buy appliances from Best Buy but now appliances have been taken over by Pacific Sales. We got their cheap extended warranty and, to this day, the ice maker has failed to function properly. Warranty was called and out of the 4 times, they paid 3 and the last one I had to fight the warranty company (Warren Tech the worst company to deal with) because I kept saying that the ice maker isnt functioning properly because every month the ice builds up and no ice comes out. Samsung will not even help because the manufacturers warranty is over and the problem is now the warranty companys problem. If anyone else has had a problem with their Samsung ice maker please tell us what we could do to have the ice maker function the way it should.

I needed a specific sized refrigerator for the spot in my kitchen and the look of the 4 door Samsung was great, however, the ice maker stopped working. Eventually I couldnt even open the ice maker container. Once that occurred the freezing did as well, so the venting in the back of the refrigerator froze over and made a sound like a percolating coffee pot. Had to get a repairman to come and fix. I googled the issue, which it appears to be an issue with the Samsung design of their ice makers some refrigerators have ice gathering under the drawers, the temp shown on the door is NOT what is actually going on inside the refrigerator. Samsung has their American call center Alorica calling themselves the Office of the President. When you ask them for their manager they will put you on hold then come back on the line attempting to change their voice saying they are the manager. Good stuff, they will do anything not to give you any repairs. Even finding their own documentation stating the ice maker design is the reason for the issues and they will not help. I will never ever buy another Samsung product and I think Consumer Reports leads people astray stating its a great appliance. How long are you testing these products?

We bought an RF267 series refrigerator. And like many on this site, we started to experience problems with the ice maker right away. It only makes ice when it feels like it. Sometimes we will go for a couple of months without any ice, and then it starts to make ice with no warning. Most of the time it just makes clunking and popping noises. This has gone on for a couple of years and after reading about all of the other problems, I am afraid to have it repaired. It seems I am lucky compared to most of you. I also have two Samsung TVs that after just a couple of years experienced pixel problems and then just simply wont power up when the power button is pressed. Refrigerator RF4287HA - We paid $350 to have a authorized Samsung repair service tell us that insulation foam trapped in the overflow tube caused our lower freezer drawer to build up ice and eventually prevent the drawer from opening. Two months later the problem returned. We began a process of turning off power, emptying the drawers, placing hot water in pan within and melting down the build up. We do this 6 to 8 times a year since purchasing it. Today I went online to ask if Samsung has a permanent fix and they gave no advice - but did ask for my credit card for which they claim I would get an answer. Scam? After much back and forth with the person from Samsung I was able to have them get an authorized service company to call within 48 hrs just for scheduling not repairing! They did call about 24 hrs later and requested a copy of my sales order be emailed before they would even schedule service and I was told they would call right back after receiving the sales order.I sent several more emails asking for a reply. They received the documents with no response. I also called the number I was contacted from and was told to press #1 for a call back due to high call volume. After 6 hrs no call back so I repeated this process 3 more times and never received a call back. So now for 5 days we are without a refrigerator!!! And no service scheduled for repairs. POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD: Samsung dw80f600uts Dishwasher - This has been the worst appliance experience ever. Dishwasher worked fine for about the first 18 months. Then, on occasion, it would give an error code (Smart Auto and Heavy would flash). If we stopped and restarted it, it would usually run through the cycle. We are a family of only 2 adults, so we are not hard on it, nor do we run it more than 1 to 2 times per week due to handwashing some dishes (as the dishwasher cycle is VERY LONG... like 3 hours)! This morning the dishwasher stopped and gave error message, I tried to stop and restart. No luck. Then, while I had the door open, it started on its own!! (ID CALL THIS A SAFETY HAZARD). With all the complaints about this unit, I would think that Samsung would do a recall, or an optional recall, so at least those with issues can get unit corrected on Samsungs dime. We are choosing not to pay to have it fixed, as the reviews show that most have had to have fixed multiple times. Would rather buy a different brand than invest more in this faulty model.

Samsung Refrigerator Model RF217ACWP/XAA Paint Peeling Handles - This refrigerator has been a nightmare. First the ice maker did not work properly. Then the top handles peeled and were replaced. Now the freezer freezes ice cream like a brick on the lowest setting. And again we have to not only replace the handles that were already replaced on the top, but we also have to replace the handles on the bottom. Samsung led us to believe that we had options of replacing the refrigerator or refund but then denied us and said they would fix it. I got a call today and they said it was cosmetic so I would have to pay to replace the handles that were ordered and ready to be installed. I am furious. As soon as I bought this refrigerator, Model # RF24FSEDBSR/AA which costed me $3,400 started having a problem within a week from the installation. Samsung sent me 2 different the 3rd party vendors to fix the problem since the 1st one couldnt. These two 3rd party vendors moved around my refrigerator in order to take a look at the back at that time. For last 5-6 months my fridge stopped cooling and it was accumulating ice in the back panel along with lots water dripping on the wall panel. Foods were easily molding and spoiled. When I called Samsung, they stated its because the refrigerator is not leveled and eventually its ruined fan functions. My refrigerator stayed exactly how the Samsung repairman left little less than 3 years ago with the wheels touch ground which was causing unleveling and eventual ruining the fridge completely. Samsung was showing no apology nor remedy whatsoever since the warranty time is over. They were asking me to talk to the vendor who left the refrigerator unleveled even though Samsung is the one who hired those vendors 3 years ago. Extremely disappointed with Samsung product and their service. Never buying Samsung products again. Definitely I will let other people to hear my voice every chance I get.

Samsung French Door Refrigerator - Model # RF263BEAESR/AA - BEWARE ----> BAD PRODUCT & BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ----> SAMSUNG. $2,000 refrigerator with ice maker that has not worked properly since day one. Samsung warranty repaired twice in first year. Ice maker would work for a week or two then frost up and leak water on inside, collect then leak out doors making a mess all over floor. After several frustrating calls to Samsungs resolution department I received another service call outside of warranty (1 year) to replace several parts and defrost element. This did not fix the problem and ice maker frosted up a couple weeks later. Requested service AGAIN and waited 1 month without a response. Finally was told Samsung would not repair or service further and I should contact a service center to pay for another repair. Note: Service techs both told me the icemakers are a HUGE PROBLEM for Samsung. What a freaking joke! Samsung is making a piece of crap and is failing to support and/or correct this. Updated on 12/25/2019: So the second tech came at a cost of 130.00 to confirm the fridge was not working due to a broken compressor. Waited another week for the official Samsung repairmen with the new compressor. Its up and running again. Three weeks without a fridge as they dragged their feet to R&R a compressor. Not good. Will not buy Samsung again nor recommend it to you.Original Review: Only after the first yr did I hook up the ice maker/ water dispenser. Kitchen remodel was on hold. But immediately it failed by continually icing up. The paint started to blister from rust around the bottom of the cut out. Out of warranty and out of mind by customer support. The handle of the freezer door broke within the first yr and I will give them credit for replacing the door face to repair that. Although it took 7 days to get tech support in Phx AZ. Now at 3 yrs I’m waiting for tech support for a closed unit fix (compressor). Waited 4 days for 1st tech to report that he was unauthorized to fix problem. That appointment was paid in full by Samsung Thank you. Now I’m waiting for another authorized tech company to diagnose the problem (2nd opinion?). That will cost ME $120. Up front. Not included in the compressor warranty. So this tech company is not satisfied with the profit made from Samsung exclusive authorization (the customer) but insists on also touching the owner. Just read online of a class action suit pertaining to ice maker. One week out for that appointment so will update this review then. On another note be aware that cleaning the inside of these appliances is next to impossible (see You Tube by others).

We wanted an additional oven to supplement our regular oven; this Samsung fit the bill because it's a convection oven that can roast and even grill meats such as chicken that can sometimes be hard to cook thoroughly without the meat becoming too dry or tough. At 1.1 cu ft it might be a tight fit for Perdue Oven Stuffer chicken or anything larger, otherwise it does its job well. Our $2323.95 Samsung refrigerator (RFG297HD) was purchased less than 3 years ago. We were under the impression (albeit falsely so) that Samsung products were superior in quality, and that this company stood behind the integrity of its products. NOT!!! We have already had to replace the ice maker and the freezer fan assembly. After speaking to three different phone operators (all of which represented a series of going-through-the-proverbial-policy-motions), I finally was put into the ECR department in hopes of speaking to someone, who had not already been thoroughly programmed into the mechanical answers representing Samsung androidism. Suffice it to say, I hit wall, after wall, after wall after Wall. The only so-to-speak courtesy I was offered was to spend some additional money to buy into another year of protection. Really? I am sorry, but when I spend this kind of money for a product, I expect quality performance for a little longer than two years before it start breaking down, leading me to dig into my pocketbook again. Moreover, to spend additional money for extended warranties on products (i.e. Samsung products) highly suggests that Samsung does not want to be held responsible for its own technical errors or designed failures.

(If a manufacturer is going to sell a product, they should ensure there are respected certified repair technicians within that sales area.) Compounding my problem, I have a spine disability that makes it impossible to pull put the refrigerator to try to defrost it. My spine problem requires daily ice packs. Two delivered within 30 days, and both had a computer issue: I purchased the 25.6 cubic foot French door Samsung refrigerator in November 2012. I had been told by salesmen at two different stores that Samsung was the best refrigerator you could buy. I took their word for it and stopped looking at any other brands. When my fridge was delivered and set up, the delivery man said he was pushing the power freeze button to cool it off quickly so I could put my food back in. He mentioned that it would go off on its own once it had cooled down. I noticed that it stayed on -8 degrees for day. I kept thinking there was a problem with the freezer temperature setting. Finally, I called Samsung and was told that if I unplugged it and plugged it back it, that would take care of the problem. Instead, it plummeted to -8 again, although the freezer was set on 0. I finally figured out that the power freeze button was not turning itself off like it should. Samsung says it should stay on approximately 1 1/2 hour then shut off. Feeling like I had purchased a lemon, I requested a different one. The store very graciously brought out another new refrigerator. After the delivery men left, the first thing I did was push power freeze to see what happened. Would you believe that it also never went off? Wondering if other people had experienced the same thing, I searched on the internet and found this forum. I am so grateful to have found out the problems that exist with Samsung refrigerators before my 30 days are up. I now have 5 days left to request it to be picked up and my money returned. I have also talked with a few servicemen who have told me that they would never own a Samsung. I will say that the look and feel of the Samsung is wonderful. I dont think it will be possible to find any other brand that I like better as far as the inside set up, durable feeling of the shelves and bins; but looking pretty isnt worth anything if it isnt reliable.

The top wire shelf is held in place by the slides built in to the plastic side walls. The service tech came with a new shelf which also fell out. He stated that the wall between freezer and refrigerator was concave behind the plastic, pulling the shelf support over, and there was nothing he could do. Samsung Executive Customer Relations held fast to the one year warranty. My claim: this is a manufacturing defect going back to day one (the fridge is a lemon) and Samsung should remedy regardless of the timeline. The rep added that she would initiate a service ticket in spite of that fact that it was concluded this problem was not repairable. If I had this refrigerator for ten years and had this problem Id take my lumps. Customer relations tells me there is no higher appeal. This is not standing behind the product. Bought a Samsung refrigerator in May from Home Depot. They were on sale and was what we needed to fit the area we had. Four months into it, my wife comes to me saying its not cold, all of the frozen food was thawed and its a mess. After throwing everything out, I called Samsung repair. Talked to someone in India who read from a script. She directed me to some tests I should do first. I did them, didnt work. Called again, more tests. All I want is my fridge fixed. Its under warranty. Whats the problem? Its that they are told not to send anyone and that the consumer should be satisfied spending $1,796.43 for a fridge that worked 4 months. Tomorrow, I am prepared to start the fight. Class action please.

Why did I fall for them, they make nice T.V.s so Ill buy a fridge? Ice machine clearly defective (see 100s of complaints) AND the door has an alarm when its not closed all the way. WHY DONT THEY JUST MAKE A DOOR THAT CLOSES PROPERLY. They know they made an expensive, poorly designed product that 100,000s of people bought, but they wont admit its defective. Never again Samsung!

I wish I had read reviews before I bought the Samsung refrigerator. We have had to defrost it several times. Samsung customer service is very poor, entailing many phone calls and waiting weeks for service people. Now when it starts making loud noises and leaking water I collect all the camping coolers, empty it and unplug it for 24 hours. Ridiculous! An expensive disappointment.

I bought all Samsung (CRAP) in 2008. I have had nothing but problems. The dishwasher is falling apart with cheap plastic parts and control board had to be replaced in 1 year. The microwave part inside keeps melting from the heat. I had to buy 3 of them. Now the refrigerator has pooling water under the crisper drawer. I have to take the drawer out every couple of weeks and wipe it out. When you go to store, stay out of Samsung aisle.

Own a Samsung SMH9187ST microwave. In part picked from a Consumer Report rating. Thoroughly disappointed. Has been nothing but trouble. First the rack that came with the unit, caused an arcing/burning inside the unit - had to throw the rack out. Then the Magnetron failed (wouldnt heat), after much arguing with Samsung, they finally sent someone to replace it. Then had another issue with the unit functioning (of course just past the 1 year warranty part); had to replace the sensors at the door (my cost). Then we get the SE error - the remedies online dont work, so, only solution to replace the entire control panel?? This is an extremely poor design. SAMSUNG should not have sold this design. Third appliance of theirs that has been a major disappointment. I will never buy SAMSUNG again.

We moved into a new house and decided to replace the appliances. We read the reviews, thank you for the people who do this. It helps, and saw Samsung got terrible reviews on their dishwashers but nothing bad on the particular fridge we were interested in. There were no bad reviews because this fridge was newer and I dont think enough time passed for the problems to emerge. Model number RF28K9380SR, so we went for it, spent a good amount of money on it and months after we bought it (Brand New) we had big problems with the ice maker completely freezing over. We had the SAME parts break 5 times in less than one year. We have requested our money back or a completely new fridge. After weeks on the runaround and being told its under review we have gotten NOOOOO answers. We emailed and faxed in the repair logs. They have sent their own repairmen out and in less than 1 week it broke again. We are, to this exact day, sitting with an ice maker that has completely frozen over and shuts down. Called Samsung for the 6th time in two weeks to be told, its still under review. Not only is this Fridge an absolute waste of money, Samsung is a terrible company and could care less about customers. WE will NEVER EVER again buy a Samsung product. That goes for everything not just appliances.

This is the first dishwasher I have ever had with stainless steel inside. Is this the reason Im having problem with mold growing on my dishes? All other dishwashers I have had, left dishes in longer not rinsed that good. Never had mold grow on them. It made me so sick to see this the first time, every dish had mold growing. Good thing there wasnt that many in there. Took them out soaked in bleach. I read my book it said run it once a week, I have been. Run the dishwasher with bleach, then run it again with dishwasher detergent, without dishes. I thought it wouldnt happen again but it did. So disappointed in this dishwasher. Has anyone else had this problem? After the first time I told my husband to be sure to rinse them good. Well it did happen. Bought this dishwasher Jan. 2016, only 8 months old.

I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator Model # RFG293HARS after my home was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. After 4 months, I noticed 2 small rows of rust on the freezer door. The rows run vertically and are parallel to each other. They seemed to have been caused when the steel was being rolled or somewhere in the manufacturing process. The spots have started to show signs of rust also. When I contacted Samsung (it took many attempts to get a ticket #), I was told it is a cosmetic problem and not covered. I explained that it was something in the manufacturing process and they could care less. They offered to send a tech out and charge me for the tech. I refused. I am next contacted NYC Dept of Consumer Affairs.

Ice start to build up in the bottom of the panel in the back of the freezer
Ice start to build up in the bottom of the panel in the back of the freezer. I had to remove back panel, use hair drier to remove ice and make sure drain was not clogged. Worked fine for about 3 weeks and repeated. Do a lot of research on this problem and called Samsung. Response was that fridge was out of warranty and that any repairs would be at my cost. I insisted of the many reports of problems in the defroster, evaporator, sensors and even faulty tray reported both here and UK and inquired about whether this was an well known problem and if there was some form of solution or repair. Response was that I would be responsible for all repairs and was given closest authorized repair close to 35 miles from home. I tried the forced defrost using control panel buttons, based on technical manual and reports from other people but did not work. Already twice into freezer defrost with hair drier. Fridge also started showing high temperature on panel and blinking, just as had happened to freezer. Assuming some form of dependency between fridge and freezer defrost, I went and defrosted both sides, removing back panels and again made sure drain was not clogged. Today freezer started blinking again. There is a lot of information on the net about issues with this and similar series of this fridge. I cant believe Samsung is and wasnt aware of this defect when also lawsuits exist in the UK for this same issues of defective evaporator, sensors, gaskets, etc.I am done with Samsung. Customer service far from acknowledging problem or offering repair of a known defect simply indicated it is at my cost. I would like to know what is the number of reported cases in this and similar series. I have purchased several Samsung products but this fridge is by far the more costly one. This experience, first on the failure of the product then followed by Samsungs balking and not standing on quality principles and customer satisfaction, made me lose interest in the brand and this will be reflected on all of my future choices, be it computers, wireless, TV, tablets, etc. I am really disappointed and I feel I was sold a defective product, with a known defect and for which the company is not standing up.

We will NEVER buy Samsung again! We purchased a Samsung refrigerator (RF261BEAEWW) in December 2016 and the unit stopped working in April 2018. Samsung initially informed us that the refrigerator was not repairable and asked for us to submit our receipt for replacement or refund. After submitting our receipt we were then informed Samsung needed more pictures of the refrigerator. They told us that the damage was corroded lines due to sulfur in the air. We have never had a problem with sulfur in our home. They said this is an environmental issue and not covered under warranty. The repair company even said that it is unusual to see this corrosion so soon and in our direct area. The lines on the refrigerator should have never corroded that bad in 15 months. We have never had a problem with corrosion on things we have had for years. Even with this information Samsung said they are standing by their claim and will do nothing to help us. We now have a 15 month old piece of junk Samsung refrigerator.

Purchased the refrigerator recently. Samsung has been out numerous times and cant repair it. The problems seem to change with each tech and with each phone call. I get different reasons why it doesnt work correctly. Last outsider tech rep stated it was the smart app in the refrigerator has a problem. Samsung does not live up to its advertising or product warranty. Would not recommend Samsung to my worst enemy. In the advertising it states Stream music and videos, and watch your Samsung TV directly on your Family Hub... Also bought a new Samsung TV and they are not compatible. So states some Samsung reps. Others say that it should work. Spent a lot of money on garbage, in my opinion.

On March 15, 2013 we bought a Samsung French Door Smart Refrigerator (model # RF263BEAEWW/AA) from Home Depot, along with a 5-yr extended warranty. The ice maker was a little loud, but we could live with it. It was the perfect size, and had everything we needed. One yr and 10 months after we bought it, it stopped working on Dec. 23. There is only 2 people in our household, so it was not like someone was in and out of the refrigerator all day. On Dec. 29 the repairman came out and he said we needed a new compressor and he had to order the part. On Jan 12 the repairman returned with the compressor, but then said the freon had leaked out (which he could have found if he had brought the proper tools on the 1st visit) and as a result had spewed oil into all the coils and now everything had to be replaced, and he needed to order the parts! On Jan 16, we were told the parts would be in on Jan. 20..but by Jan. 30 they had not come in and we were told they were on back order. At this point, we had been without a refrigerator for ONE month! Home Depot finally reimbursed us for the cost of what we paid for the refrigerator, but it wasnt enough to cover a like model, in another brand. Once we knew the refrigerator could not be fixed, we wanted to return 2 Samsung water filters we had bought last year, to the cost of $154.00. The boxes have never been opened, but when I called Samsung parts representative, J & J International, they said they were unreturnable. Apparently, you only have 30 days to return parts, even if unopened! I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again. Buyer beware, their products get good reviews, but if anything happens, it is impossible to get parts or any customer satisfaction!!

I have contacted Samsung business line 800 726 7864. They said that they have not replaced the above mentioned filter. Somebody is lying to me. We purchased 4 Samsung appliances for our kitchen. We are very happy with the stove, microwave and dishwasher. The refrigerator is another matter. The icemaker literally scatters ice all over the kitchen floor. We have been in touch with Samsung numerous times. Twice, they have sent technicians to our home. Both said that the ice dispenser problem is a design flaw. Both have reported their findings to Samsung. One even sent a video. My conversations with Samsungs customer service department always end the same way - the design is within our specifications. Dont buy Samsung. Their customer service is terrible.

I purchased a Samsung stove and Samsung refrigerator on November 25th. The stove was on back order, so I would have to wait until January 7th for delivery. The 7th came and no one showed up. No phone call. Nothing. I call and get their customer service. The delivery has been changed to the 13th because the stove was on back order. They reset the delivery date without contacting me. I told them I could not take delivery on that date and they should have contacted me on what date would be good for me. I made the date for the 15th instead. Today is the 15th and I called early in the morning to make sure they were coming. They again changed the date to the 22th. When I complained to them that they make dates and do not honor them, the customer service operator just said I am just the messenger and there is nothing I can do. I asked for a manager but the manager was too busy and could not talk to me. They would call me back. They never did. I called back and finally got a manager. There was no offer of help. No offering to make this right. They blew me off. I asked them at least deliver the refrigerator but they said if they gave me the refrigerator then my stove order would be cancelled. There was no customer service at this company. I will never buy another Samsung product again. I am sorry I bought this one.

Bought all new Samsung appliances when we built our house. Stove worked well at first. Liked the rapid boil burner. Right after the extended Lowes warranty expired, the rapid boil burner would go crazy. It was insanely hot no matter what temp you set it on. Burned everything youd try to cook on it. Found the problem, replaced the part. Less than a year later both front burners are doing the same thing. Also used the self-clean oven, enamel came off very badly. Its so damaged I couldnt use it. Top and bottom of the oven look like someone took a grinder to it. Deep gashes. Flaking off. Since its on the top it falls into your food. Noticed today as we were pulling it out to replace with a new range, oven actually has a hole in the bottom. Very expensive Samsung fridge is already starting to freeze items in the back of the fridge. Will never purchase another Samsung appliance. Great TVs, horrible appliances.

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator June, 2015. Within 6 weeks, water started leaking from under the freezer. I called Samsung customer service who attempted to give me some how-to information. This did not work. For over 1 year Ive tried to rectify the problem via Samsung until they finally said, sucks to be you!, your appliance is out of warranty. I pushed the issue and was told to submit receipts, which are on thermo paper and no longer readable. It has been determined to be un-repairable because there is no Samsung service repair in my area. Likely a simple adjustment needs to be done, but Samsung will not authorize repair. They tell me that I will have to send in the paperwork, all labels from appliance, the cord (plus a video of me cutting said cord), and they will review the file and send me a check... OK... let me trust that process.

Bought a side by side counter depth Samsung fridge in May 2014. In June 2015, the fridge and freezer stopped cooling. After THREE weeks of trying to get someone to come out, Samsung referred us to a 3rd place and they finally came. However, we had to get a copy of the original purchase receipt FIRST. Once the guy came out, looked at the fridge, he said it was a coolant leak and the fan was installed backwards. Which really meant the whole thing was burned up. He told us a service tech would be out to fix it in a week. 2 weeks later, we find out that company doesnt fix that problem. So its back to Samsung! We still dont have a fridge and no scheduled spot for it to be fixed. So frustrating. Samsung is junk and they have horrible service. Just because it has a 10 year warranty doesnt mean jack!

We purchased a Model DW80J3020US Dishwasher from Lowes December 30, 2015. This dishwasher did not clean the dishes as well as our old Kenmore which was 11 years old. On May 8, 2016 the dishwasher quit working completely (no power on light). I telephoned Samsung support and was advised that a local repair shop would contact us within 24 - 48 hrs. We did not receive any contact and when I called Samsung back on May 11, 2016 they informed me that a company known as Precision Television at 800 603-2433 would set an appointment for repair. I phoned Precision Television and they informed me that they DID NOT SERVICE SAMSUNG DISHWASHERS. I telephoned Samsung again and was told that Precision Television (aka Precision Services) was the company that was going to service our dishwasher. Another contact to Precision Television proved useless and they again informed me that they had no technician for service calls and did not service Samsung dishwashers! Two more calls to Samsung (the last call was May 13, 2016) resulted in the representative telling me that another repair service, Lehmans Appliance would take care of the service. It has been 5 days since the service order was referred to Lehmans Appliance and they have not called me and have not answered 6 messages that I left. I have to assume that Samsung does not honor their warranty.

I bought this range in November 2013. From the first day the temperatures of the oven were inconsistent and the convection setting was even worse than the regular oven. I had a Samsung service technician come for service twice and showed him pictures of the uneven results of my baking attempts. He said there was nothing wrong with the oven and finally replaced the thermostat to appease me. I really wish I returned this range at that time but decided to make do. Over the years its gotten progressively worse. The upper convection fan doesnt work so I cant even use the upper oven because it wont let you use the regular setting in the upper oven. When I use it as a full oven with the regular oven setting I have to rotate the food to try to get it to cook evenly. The oven makes terrible noise.
