Water accumulates in veggie & fruit drawers which has to be poured out
Water accumulates in veggie & fruit drawers which has to be poured out daily several times. Water also accumulates under the drawer. If not taken care of daily, Im sure it would eventually get out of the refrigerator and onto the floor. I had it repaired last October 2015 at a cost of $400. Two small parts were replaced which I looked up and only cost together under $20. The repair took less than 15 minutes once the food was removed. Now it s doing the exact same thing, months later and the company says it cannot do anything about it.

In February 2011, I renewed a contract for one (1) year for a refrigerator for $139.00. I have called many times, but as of today, April 4, I have not received a copy, only to be told by Samsung that it will be in the mail to me. Samsung did not have a problem cashing the funds, but they cannot send me a copy of the contract. Please respond.

Samsung Denies Refrigerator Warranty Through Confusion and Delay. Lesson Le
Samsung Denies Refrigerator Warranty Through Confusion and Delay. Lesson Learned: NEVER Purchase a Samsung Appliance and Expect Them to Uphold the Warranty. Whoever said that Corporations have consciences has never owned a Samsung Refrigerator that failed while under warranty. We had a RF266AEBP refrigerator for 4 years. It had a 5 year warranty on closed system parts such as the compressor. The compressor failed in its fourth year. A nice long life you might say but still under warranty. This failure happened on December 20th 2014. It was not until March 10th when I finally pulled the plug on working with Samsung Executive Customer Service. Their response seemed to be designed to beat me down, tire me out, and leave me wondering and lost. We had 3 service calls over these months and during this entire time our food was on our patio where the temperature would dip well below freezing at night. Here is some of the incompetent mishandling they exhibited:They sent us a service outfit that was not authorized to do warranty work on their refrigerators. They said at one point that the compressor had a warranty, not the refrigerator. They left me holding on the phone for up to 20 minutes (but would tell me it was going to be 3 min). Said that I would have had to have purchased a warranty at the time of purchase to get coverage. They could not seem to get the magical 7000 number from the service provider. Even after we had 3 service people out, had the compressor replaced and had spent two months without a fridge, they were going to send someone to confirm that it was the compressor issue.I pulled the plug after 2.5 months when they said it would be another 4 days before we would get the form that we needed to attach the pictures to and send in the Executive Customer Service. AND, that we would need to hold on to the old unit until the inspection, forms and pictures were reviewed and by their Refunds and Exchange Department. At that point we had already ordered a replacement refrigerator. So, if you choose to purchase a Samsung refrigerator, rip up the warranty, assume that it will not be honored. If you do choose to try to get them to stand up for what they promised, be ready for months of delay and misinformation. Very sad, very sad indeed.

Purchased at Lowes who said all repairs are done by Samsung. First we got a lecture on how to wash dishes. Run hot water in sink first, use less soap, use vinegar, use a rinse aid and it will work fine. They all have a nasty film on them even when using rinse aid (apparently required by them). Second repair visit canceled because they needed to order a part. Third visit, another how to wash dishes lecture and supposed part replacement. Fourth visit, another part replacement, and the dishes are still filmy and nasty. They refuse to replace it. Lowes has bowed out. Never buy Samsung again.

We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator that failed to cool less than 1 year after the purchase date. After calling Samsung customer service it took three repair companies to finally tell us that they could not work on the product because of a lack of training on closed system refrigerators; these vendors were provided by Samsung. After numerous phone calls to the Samsung Customer Service Department, I realized that nearly each time I was talking to representatives in several different locations to include the Philippines, the Virgin Islands and South Carolina. Eventually after my persistence and threats, Samsung arranged for me to return the refrigerator to the store I purchased it from. This happened nearly two weeks after we purchased another brand.Lastly, we were promised a maximum of $ 200.00 compensation for the nearly $ 600.00 of food that was spoiled. We were required to provide items and the price. We ended up emailing this information at least 7 times to their Executive Customers Service Department and have yet to receive reimbursement. It has been 64 days since we the unit became inoperable and numerous promises were made! To date, we have not been reimbursed!! We will NEVER buy or recommend SAMSUNG again!!!

I purchased a Samsung kitchen package in November of 2018. After being lied to about the availability, I finally received my products. The refrigerator, model RF263TEAESG, is useless. You can only put a single gallon container in this model. We are a household of 2 people and there is no storage ability. I would be in big trouble if I didnt have my 20 year old garage fridge to use also. If you use the door to store items be warned when the shelf breaks at 14 months, Samsung wont do ANYTHING to help you. Its considered cosmetic! $100 to get a new one. I will never buy anything with a Samsung label ever again. Samsung customer service would do nothing, not even an apology for the inconvenience.

We bought a Samsung French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator and it started freezing up behind panel in refrigerator part. It leaks water that overflows onto kitchen floor and makes your cold grocery items freeze up in back of fridge. You will have to pay hundreds in repairs and if you need questions answered about problems be prepared to be put on hold on phone and then talk to someone from India or Pakistan that you cant understand. Samsung refrigerators are nothing but CRAP and they need to be Sued.

I purchased my dishwasher and had it installed. After two washes the washer started leaking. We called customer service and after many attempts of scheduling and cancelling because theyre too stupid to confirm an appoint or called the correct number, they came. The technician told us that the panel was not sealed properly and that he would come back and get it fixed or would replace with a new one. The following appointment attempt, they called on me at the very last min and asked to come another. They told me 10:30-11:30 but instead came at 5pm. Another technician came this time but instead of fixing it, he blamed on the height adjustment screw removal and thats why the washer was leaking. What kind of ridiculous excuse is that because its not even related!? They refuse to fix my washer but what kind of crap machine breaks after two washes? Reassure that I will never buy a Samsung product again. I would make sure to make everyone knows about this. I would rather buy LG or GE instead of this crappy, poor service Samsung brand!

On November 6, 2011 I purchased a Samsung RFG 238AARS refrigerator and an extended warranty. July 2013 it needed a defrost heater and temperature sensor (Evaporation Assembly) due to freezing below the drawer in the freezer. In December 2014 there was a clogged drain and a fan problem causing more freezing in the freezer and refrigerator. In March 20-17 there again was ice build up and the repairman said it was a common problem with Samsung due to duck bills being clogged. Currently the food freezes in the refrigerator and the freezer has problems with the ice maker. Yet, Samsung will not agree to a replacement. The freezer cost 2500.00 and makes noises and freezes below the drawers in the refrigerator and freezer. ITS A LEMON! I owned an Amana for 20 years without one repair to it. Prior to that, I owned a Kenmore without a single repair. I have been on the phone with Samsung many times, and on hold for as long as 45 minutes to no avail. I would NEVER buy a Samsung product again!

Samsung Microwave S0404 REF Sku 1000-045. When I was heating up some water, after the timer was out and I wanted to get the heated water out, I noticed a horrible smell, and then I saw the right side of the microwave burning. I try to unplug the microwave, but it is a build in and I could not reach that high. I called my husband in and he unplugged the Micro. I have a pacemaker/defibrillator and I noticed a pain on the left side on my shoulder. We have a 5 year in store Protection Plan and called for replacement. I found out they have to send someone out first to see the damage. This upset me very much because first of all we was promised that this plan will replace faulty merchandise right away.

I purchased model #RF25HMEDBSR in 2015. To date Ive had to have it serviced three times at a cost to me of $900. I have been waiting since July 27 for more repairs for the same issues and they cant get anyone to do my repair until Aug 27. The ice maker and cooling issues are defects that have been around since 2006. Samsungs customer service is horrible! They have been giving some refunds for their faulty refrigerators but it can take months of waiting and countless hour on the phone with them, if you can get to a human. I love the design of this unit but having to pay $900 in service fees is unacceptable. Avoid at all costs!!!

I have had my dishwasher for approximately 18 months and it stopped working. I called Samsung and they told me the warranty had expired but they would extend me a courtesy warranty. It seems like everything was going well. When the technician from Lakes Electronics came in he went right to the problem. The electrician brought the work order in already completed stating what the problem was and handed it to my husband. He already had his service sheet filled out and told my husband the board was bad. He then said because you have bugs it voids the warranty. What a scam. I DO NOT have bugs. After reviewing some complaints it seems another customer had the same problem with the same company that Samsung sent to her home. They told her the same thing. Makes you wonder if SAMSUNG is using this company to not pay the warranty. They know the boards are bad on these dishwashers but refuse to repair them. Have you had this experience?

My stove top had a crack on the top, due to the heating element getting too hot. After dealing with Samsung for 4 weeks on the phone (could not hear us -- they keep hanging up and they keep saying the wrong email address, and no one spoke English) they claim that our 1 1/2 old stove is not covered for labor only parts. I redid my kitchen in 2015, so I needed all new appliances. I loved how the Samsung 4 door French door refrigerator looked and I researched and others seemed to love it...clearly, they didnt wait a year after to review. A year later, it stopped cooling. I had just made a Costco run so both the fridge and freezer were at max capacity. All that food had to be tossed. I called Samsung and they sent someone out a couple days later. It was a fuse that blew out, literally took him 15 minutes to fix. Fast forward to 2017, the fridge makes a loud humming noise like a plane taking off and water drips from the water/ice dispenser...found the problem online. It is a known design flaw. The back freezes up, so that is the humming noise. I look online and everyone says to thaw out the fridge. Ok, I do that and reload all the food...again. A few months later it happens again, however, this time the ice maker is also so frozen that no ice dispenses...oh, and the water STILL leaks out. I research...again, known flaw, but this time its the rubber seal isnt tight enough. So, thaw out the fridge. Again this works for oh...about a month. Then it happens again. I literally just defrosted it again 2 days ago because everything was frozen up. Today it is humming LOUDLY. I will NEVER EVER purchase another appliance from Samsung. There is a class action lawsuit pending concerning these issues, FYI. Unfortunately, I also have a dishwasher and washer/dryer. So far, so good on those appliances. Do NOT purchase a Samsung appliance. Period.

Now just over a year later I am having same problem as previous writer. The refrigerator is not cooling yet freezer is. Am attempting to contact service, but meanwhile all food is spoiling. Our last refrigerator - simple model different brand with no bells whistles lasted ten years without an issue. Would not recommend this model due to issues after only one year plus. Obviously this is occurring after the warranty has expired so it will cost money to repair.

We have had to have our dishwasher serviced 3 times. Each time they did the same exact thing. This last time, they told me it was fixed. As I was getting ready to leave my house, I heard a weird noise. So I walked over to the dishwasher, the door was slightly open, and the dishwasher had turned on all by itself. I hit the power button and it turned off for a second and turned back on. I could not get it to power off. I had to flip the breaker to this equipment. I have had to miss 3 days of work, they tell me AFTER at least a total of 5-6 hours of being on hold, or calling, that this is an extended warranty issue. They have the worst customer experience. This machine is less than 18 months old and has been serviced 3 time and still NOT working. I would highly recommend to anyone in the market for an appliance to stay clear of Samsung, unless you are wanting to spend many days frustrated. This is a still ongoing issue and I have zero confidence that they will actually fix it for me.

We purchased a Samsung bundle from Home Depot a couple of summers ago. The black stainless finish is peeling off already but even worse, the stove continues to short out when we clean it. The motherboard has been replaced once but it seems as if we are losing another one now. After wiping the top with a soft washcloth with mild soapy water, its throwing the breaker again. Im pretty careful when I clean it and have never had this issue with a stove before. Im so disappointed. My husband and I saved for a long time to be able to replace our old appliances but Id take them back if I could. Things are just not built to last anymore and no company seems to care enough to make decent products. I cant believe our government doesnt hold these companies to a higher standard. Our landfills are filling up with this new line of disposable everything! Shame on your Samsung!

We love the microwave when its working properly. Its only 4 years old and has failed three times. Each repair was easy and cheap once diagnosed. 1) Heard beeps during the night. Eventually beeped more often and left the dreaded SE error code. Called Samsung support and they suggested unplugging the unit and plug back in after a few minutes. Effectively they were telling me to reboot it. That didnt work. Found YouTube video with the fix for this problem. The ribbon cable connecting to the touchpad goes over a sharp metal edge frame of the control panel and vibration from fan operation eventually rubs through the cable causing a short. The fix was simple and only took about 20 minutes. I put a piece of electrical tape on the sharp metal edge and voila, no more beeping and no more SE error code. Samsung should have put a piece of slit PVC tubing on the sharp edge and this would never happen. Design problem! Cost to fix = price of two inch strip of electrical tape. 2) Door would not stay closed when shut. Found another YouTube about this. Tiny plastic tang which one end of door latch tension spring attaches to broke off. Replaced it with a tiny #4 sheet metal screw. Took 15 minutes. Cost to fix one small screw already on hand.3) Microwave would not turn on. Online search implied could be faulty door microswitch. Testing with cheap VOM showed which of three microswitches was faulty but suspected the one that no longer clicked and rebounded when activated by finger pressure. Found exact factory replacement online for $5 with free shipping. Took less than a week to arrive. 20 minutes to diagnose and replace. Doubt that many homeowners would have attempted doing all these repairs on their own. Three service calls even with almost no parts cost would more than pay for a new microwave, most likely not Samsung LOL.

We purchased a self cleaning, Samsung stove April 11, 2018 from Trail Appliances in Red Deer, Ab. I have used the self cleaning mode 3 times, & 3 times the C-31 displays after using it & the display panel will not work. The 1st time, I was without an oven for 15 days, the 2nd time, 9 days & am waiting again, for it to be fixed. I was told by 2 people at Trail Appliances, & Brian, from Samsung, to just not use the self cleaning feature. In my opinion, that is like buying a new car, & them telling you to not use the headlights! The salesman certainly did not warn us that all of the brand names who have the self cleaning feature, had issues. Their solution was, that whenever I use the self clean mode, to pull the oven away from the wall 6 & turn the fan on full blast for the duration of the cycle! Even the repairman said that they are a problem. Samsung said they will just keep fixing it until my warranty runs out because there is no problem, & he was very rude to me as he kept raising his voice & was yelling at me. Brian ** from Samsung. RF267ABRS - My experience leads me to believe that Samsung refrigerators are junk. They look nice but after a few years, you will have problems. It started with the lower part of the refrigerator filling with water that iced up and leaked onto the hardwoods. I kept having to get ice and water out of the fridge, then it stopped (for now). Next, my ice maker chamber stopped cooling. Theres nothing online about how to fix this (that I could find). I called Samsung but if the fridge is not under 1 year old then they tell me they can set me up with maintenance but I have to pay for it. I bought the 4-door RF4287HABP. Initially thrilled with it. After about 3 days, my wife noticed her wine (kept indoor) wasnt as cold as in our old dead LG. I tried about 4-5 different thermometers all with nearly identical readings of approx. 40 degrees in lower door. I contacted Samsung and was told as long as temp fits in their 34 - 46 degree range there is no problem? I said that means I should be able to set it between 34 and 40 degrees. No, I was told. I stated milk needs to be at a max 40 degrees and this is what the gallon door storage is alluded to in their advertising. Then I asked for a sup thinking she was new. I was told the same thing and that my 4 thermometers were most likely off (not considering the whole issue started w/ luke warm wine). They said I needed to use a Samsung thermometer to be sure of results. I asked where I could get a Samsung thermometer. She said Samsung doesnt make thermometers? Triple wow! I purchased Samsung French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator in November 2016 and had problems with the freezer drawer almost immediately. The drawer would not open completely unless you tugged on it multiple times so I contacted Samsung and was summarily dismissed by the first person with whom I came in contact. I was told by this person that the drawer only opens a few inches and that I would basically have to live with the situation. The second person I called tried to get me to be the service technician and suggested numerous things that I could do to try and remedy the problem. I told him that I did not have the time nor the inclination to play service technician and that since the unit was new I expected Samsung to send a technician to take care of the issue. They sent someone from Service Quick who decided the drawer gasket was bad and it was allowing air into the freezer causing frost to build up on the rails thus preventing the drawer from opening completely. The gasket was replaced and the next day the drawer was just as bad as it had been prior to the service call. I made another call to Samsung and the second time two technicians arrived and they decided the rails were bad and replaced both rails. The following day the drawer was even worse than before and it was difficult to open and close. The third and final service call two technicians arrived and one tested the gasket for air leaks and the other used a steamer on just one of the rails (why only one I do not know). These idiots told me there were no air leaks but I needed to wipe the door gasket off at least once or twice a week! Finally I contacted Samsung again and they wanted to send another technician from another company to assess the situation and I refused. I told them that since the refrigerator was new and they could not resolve the issue after three tries I wanted them to consider another way to resolve the matter. Samsung decided they would refund my money, however it has been two weeks since I provided them with the information they requested in order to process the refund and I have yet to get a response to my e-mail inquiring about the status of the matter. I decided to call the Samsung refund and exchanges department and was placed on hold for 45 minutes. While I was on hold 6 PM rolled around and due to the fact that department closes at 6 PM a recorded message came on and said they could not take my call and that I should call back during regular business hours. We have many Samsung products in our household and, fortunately have never needed service on any of them, until the refrigerator. Now I have experienced the abysmal service from Samsung I will never recommend nor will I ever purchase another Samsung product! Samsung cares nothing about the customer as evidenced by the dismal service they provide. My recommendation is to boycott Samsung and buy products from companies that will service what they sell and respond to the customer in a timely and efficient manner!

RS265TDRS - Purchased this fridge about 3 years ago. Fan started making a loud purring sound when cycling, then after a couple of days, the refrigerator stopped cooling. Spent $350.00 to put in a new computer board, thermostat and sensor. Now, two months later, it is repeating the issue -- loud cycling of fan and quit cooling. I have just purchased a new refrigerator and will NEVER buy a Samsung product again! Found this website when fridge died the first time and knew it was just a matter of time before it would crap out again. Shame on Samsung for making a product with a defective twin cooling system. Would like to be part of a class action lawsuit on this.

Have had a problem with water puddling on the floor for some time now. Our Samsung french door w/ bottom freezer, water/ice in the door is a model #RF26VABPN. It is a 26 cu ft unit. At first it was a pretty nice unit. We started to notice small puddles of water every now and then on the floor. This we thought was just a maverick ice cube had escaped and slid under the fridge. It turns out that ice is building up inside the bottom plastic wall cover, thawing and make a small pond under the two bottom drawers. We contacted Samsung customer service but since it was out of warranty...no help. We are now going to relegate this fridge to the garage and buy a new unit and it will NOT BE A SAMSUNG! It is our opinion that their products are very low quality, poor/non-existent customer service, and just plain junk! Our advice to you is dont be mesmerized by the cool lighting, silver-tongued salesman, or the gadgets. These things are expensive so shop wisely.

Im sorry, its not like me to even write something negative. However, my family has been poisoned because of Samsungs malfunctioning refrigerator. The digital readout is not accurate in displaying the actual temperature of the refrigerator. Bacteria starts to grow on perishables at any temperature above 40 degrees. Upon me serving food, it read 34. This was while it was under-warranty and all you did was pay for the Parts ha. Since then, this refrigerator has not worked by freezing up once a month at least for the long 6 years Ive owned it. I firmly intend on continuing to get word out regarding this as I am a very experienced enterprise digital marketer. Dont worry, Ill keep the audience within the United States. You poisoned my family, put a band-aid on a broken fridge and it never ever worked properly. Nice job Samsung. Maybe, fridges arent your thing. If you drop that product line, Samsung may even see a spike in revenue as many people and families have been poisoned in the same way and the unanimous audience of Samsung Refrigerator owners will all feel relieved.

POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD: Samsung dw80f600uts Dishwasher - This has been the worst appliance experience ever. Dishwasher worked fine for about the first 18 months. Then, on occasion, it would give an error code (Smart Auto and Heavy would flash). If we stopped and restarted it, it would usually run through the cycle. We are a family of only 2 adults, so we are not hard on it, nor do we run it more than 1 to 2 times per week due to handwashing some dishes (as the dishwasher cycle is VERY LONG... like 3 hours)! This morning the dishwasher stopped and gave error message, I tried to stop and restart. No luck. Then, while I had the door open, it started on its own!! (ID CALL THIS A SAFETY HAZARD). With all the complaints about this unit, I would think that Samsung would do a recall, or an optional recall, so at least those with issues can get unit corrected on Samsungs dime. We are choosing not to pay to have it fixed, as the reviews show that most have had to have fixed multiple times. Would rather buy a different brand than invest more in this faulty model.

Samsung Refrigerator RF32FMQDBSR problems - After a year I noticed the ice
Samsung Refrigerator RF32FMQDBSR problems - After a year I noticed the ice maker bin getting harder and harder to remove and finally it froze up so solid it took 4 hours to thaw and remove the ice bin. It did this again within a month. After some researching I find this is a problem others are having also. Since that second thaw I have been removing ice build up under the ice bin weekly to keep it from freezing up again but its getting worse. It does this whether the ice maker is on or off. After watching this appliance for the last couple of months, I have concluded the drain line for the ice maker defrost has frozen up stopping the drain path of the ice maker defrost melt, which now overflows to under the ice bin and refreezes. This is an obvious bad design with no clear fix in sight. If I were to clear this drain line (dont know how) it will do it again in a year from buildup of ice. The other issue is that ice maker cannot dispense cubed ice, again poor design.

Purchased in 2010 counter depth, bottom freezer 19 cu. ft. in black, model RB195ABBP. Worked fairly well until 2015 in Dec. Some water in the veg/fruit bins and under the drawers as well. I thought a spill but continued as months passed. Next came ice formation in and under veg/fruit bin. I unplugged, thawed and cleaned up. Also increased temperature as directed in troubleshooting section. Not 8 days it happened again as I sit today. Ive leveled as directed as well. I emailed Samsung to no avail. Now the touchpad temp controls dont work!!! Im so done with this fridge. Its now out of warranty and I must start looking for a new fridge. The company needs to be held accountable for their products or get out of the business. Whoever heard of a fridge of 5 years to start having problems! Ive kept refrigerators for 15 or more years!

They finally said it must have a leak in the system and they dont want to work on it anymore and have offered 1600.00 to replace it. The fridge on sale was 2700.00!!! I called Samsung for help because its only 4 yrs old. Should not have to be replaced. They basically said too bad!!! Will NEVER buy a Samsung product again nor should anyone else!!!

My Samsung dishwasher worked perfectly until one day it simply stopped working -- no lights, nothing. I called Samsung and was told if it was the control board it would be a warranty repair, but if it was the front panel it would not be. The authorized service repair company came and --without running any diagnostics -- replaced the front panel, and charged me about $300. The unit worked for a week, and then the same problem reappeared. They came back to do the work. Samsung said would be a warranty repair -- replace the control board -- but then after the work was completed, charged me $140 for the board anyway! After many contacts with Samsung, which agreed repeatedly that the control board was a warranty repair, I was never able to get the money refunded and Samsung failed to follow through with numerous promised phone calls. I would never buy another Samsung product after this experience (which is particularly a shame since Ive been a loyal Samsung customer for years -- phones, TVs, memory cards, etc.).

We purchased Samsung range, model NE595R0ABBB in November 2014. 3.5 years later, its fried. I am never buying another Samsung appliance ever again. We did purchase an extended warranty for it and it underwent a few repairs. The motor for the convection fan kept burning up, and now I am wondering if the latest incident is linked, because I believe the circuit board shorted out after reading about similar incidents online.Last night, I was preheating the oven and before it got to temperature, it shorted. I was in the next room, and I heard a very very loud buzzing sound coming from the kitchen, like something was being electrocuted, and my kitchen lights were flickering. I ran into the kitchen and there was smoke coming out of the oven. Not too much smoke; it didnt trip our smoke alarm. I turned the oven off, and opened the door, and the bottom panel inside the oven was glowing red in the rear left corner. This was probably the most terrifying minute of my life. I am just so grateful that I was able to act quickly and nothing catastrophic happened.I am glad that I was so close by to turn it off quickly; if I had been upstairs or outside, this could have been worse. I am sure it would have caught fire. As soon as we were able to, we pulled the oven away from the wall and unplugged it. There is no damage to anything outside the oven, though the back panel of the oven looks a little warped. I am not even going to bother getting this repaired; I dont want it in my home anymore. We purchased a GE and are awaiting delivery. Though I wouldnt be surprised if all the wiring is melted and other damage inside resulted from this. Some of my other complaints with this range: I have had oven temperature problems since almost the beginning with this. I am also very disappointed that the paint around the top of the oven door (its plain black, not a special finish) is flaking, and the paint near the stove backsplash where the vents are is flaking, too. The ceramic top has been stained since we first had it; nothing cleans it properly. Even water stains it. The seal around the edge of the ceramic cooktop is eroding. Anything deemed cosmetic is not covered under the warranty.

I have a model RB195BSSB/XAA, serial # **, date of manufacture January 2006
I have a model RB195BSSB/XAA, serial # **, date of manufacture January 2006. As you read on, you’ll realize problems with Samsung refrigerators do not necessarily depends on their age or on the model. Issues with ice build up both in the refrigerator compartment and in the freezer started almost two years ago, presumably in the spring of 2017 if not sooner. First intervention by a local technician took place in July of 2017. They replaced the drains (after a complete defrost). The problem gradually came back in the matter of few months, and between January and May of this year technicians from another service firm came for a total of five times. They replaced the motherboard, the outside display, the temperature sensor, and cleaned the rear drains one more time. Although ice would not form any longer in the freezer compartment, it started building up again behind the back panel, causing it to bulge (to the point I had to remove one shelf from the door, or it couldn’t close), and under the vegetable/crispers drawer, requiring frequent manual removal. This would happen even after disconnecting completely the water line to the ice maker (which had stopped working). In addition, the lower compartments of the refrigerator would cool too much, slightly below 30 F (around -1 to -2 °C), causing produce to freeze, despite setting the outside display at 40. The freezer temperature is also too low, despite setting it at 4. This after squandering a total of roughly $1,200 for the multiple visits or the various repairmen. Both technicians have given up attempting any further repairs, and they also notified me that their firms have stopped servicing Samsung refrigerators because of unresolvable issues like these. When I recently called the Samsung customer service, at first I was put on the line with a clueless representative; upon insisting to talk with a supervisor, I was referred to a service company, A&E Factory Service, that has abysmal customer ratings on online reviews (I decided not even calling them). Needless to say, I’m mad for having wasted so much money trying to resolve a problem that no one seems to know anything about. Had I known, I would have replaced the refrigerator right away.

I had the vent fan working on my microwave (which is an above range microwave) because I had a stew pot cooking on the range. Supposedly this will help keep condensation down. When I went to check my pot on the range the fan on the microwave had quit and I was getting a code 5 E on the display. I have since learned code 5 E means the keyboard on the microwave has quit due to condensation in the wiring of the microwave. My question to Samsung is...why didnt you take care of this problem before selling me an above range microwave? Did you think through the problem of condensation? Very disappointed in SAMSUNG.

Samsung Electric Range - My complaint is when you use the self cleaning feature, it burns out something in the control panel and requires a repairman to replace the part. According to the repairman its the way its made and was told not to use this feature. How silly is that? Why buy a self cleaning stove and cant use it??? I tested it again while still under warranty and it did it again for a second time. I am calling Samsung for a full refund. Either way I will surely be running the self cleaning feature more times before the warranty runs out. They will be paying the repair people as much as it takes until warranty is out.

Right now there are mold building up in there and when I tell them there are tell me it’s my responsibility. But if it’s wasnt for the water and the sweating inside there wouldn’t be any mold. Our brand new refrigerator broke so we called, it took them a week to come, another week to get the part, another 2 weeks to get another part. Its now been 4 1/2 weeks. I said after the first 2 1/2 weeks they should replace the fridge. Samsung... said no. I am disabled and I dont drive. My husband travels and we live in the country so we buy a lot of food and then he flies out. We had just stocked the fridge. I lost over 1000K in food the first time. I called and spoke with a guy about getting reimbursed on the food loss and he said List everything and they would jump on it. A rude lady called me back after the fridge was fixed and said Samsung only gives out 200$ as a courtesy. Why did I go through all the hassle of listing everything if they only give 200$. I forgot to mention that my medicine has to be refrigerated so we had to go get ice every day and again I dont drive. It was horrible. My poor son had to go get us food every day and that was a terrible expense because eating out is so expensive. So now for the worst part. Three weeks later the refrigerator broke again. I called this time and said I just want the money to replace. Please hurry because we cant go buy a new one until we get the money from the old one. That was 6-21-17... Its now 7- 12-15. I was told it should only take 2-3. Its been three weeks and when you load my ticket number in the website it does not give any information. When the refrigerator broke the second time... (YES IT BROKE AGAIN). I even told the ride lady that it was not running well when she called about the first 200$. She said she would have someone call me to set up repairs etc. I never got that phone call. I lost another fridge full of food. So I get one more 200$. Thats all! I just now got an update on the first 200$.That took 2 months. If it takes that long to get the money for the refrigerator it will be terrible for my family. Im not sure what to do? Every time I call everyone says that they will try and get whomever to speed up the process but so far it has been a nightmare. It has caused so much more than just a loss from a fridge. Its been a terrible domino effect. But so far I have lived with no refrigerator for 2 1/2 months... Could you do that? I have had company during this time twice. My son graduated high school and the whole family came. Something should be done and Samsung owes me something more than just replacement cost of my refrigerator. Im very upset. If you can help me please let me know.

New Microwave Caught Fire - Purchased Samsung Microwave Model Number ME18H7
New Microwave Caught Fire - Purchased Samsung Microwave Model Number ME18H704SFG on 07-03-2016 from HHgregg. They delivered the microwave on Saturday 07-09-2016. Used the microwave Saturday and Sunday. Monday morning 07-11-2016 my wife screamed FIRE so I ran to the kitchen where the microwave door was open and a flame about 4-5 inches long was jetting out from the side of the interior of the microwave. When I say jetting it was like a torch so I got the Fire Extinguisher and put it out then unplugged it. The inside wall was still hot to the touch for some time so I removed it from above the Gas Range and Sat it outside for the day. Now there is a big hole in the side wall of the microwave.I called HHgregg and they told me to call Samsung. I called 800 726-7864, spoke to a lady there who gave me a transaction number and said a Product Specialist would call me back within 4 hours. Said I needed to call back with the serial number or I would be charged a service call fee. That return call did not happen within 4 hours so I called again and spoke to another lady who gave me a claim ticket and a service ticket and said the claim folks would call me within 24 hours and the service folks would call back the same day. I did receive a text from service saying The repair facility has accepted your repair. ASC Phone 201-672-9502 ASC will contact you within 2 business days. Then received a call from service around 5:34 who left a message which I returned the call. The lady also needed the serial number which I provided the next day and they have scheduled a service person to come out... today is the 12 the service person will come on the 19 between 10-2. I told her I did not want them to attempt to repair this unit and give it back to me. She said the service person would not take the unit but would take photos and send to Samsung where they would determine if it could be repaired. I told her I would not let that unit back into my home. She said if you refuse the service then you will be left with a broken microwave. This is where I have left this issue. We will see what happens when the service person comes out.

Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80J3020OUS. OMG Do Not Buy this Dishwasher!!! I
Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80J3020OUS. OMG Do Not Buy this Dishwasher!!! I thought Id update my kitchen with all Samsung appliances. Let me tell you besides the refrigerator a HUGE MISTAKE!!! I will do other write-ups on the Microwave and stove issues, but this one will focus on the dishwasher. I had it for about a week when I started realizing dishes were not getting clean, only the very first run did but none after that. Then I saw that the soap dispenser was only dispensing the soap after I opened the door when all cycles were completed, so soap was not dispensing. So after about three resets of dishwasher and 6 times of no soap dispensing I called Samsung service line only to be belittled by the customer service rep who insisted the dishwasher must be installed incorrectly. Im like no it has power check, it also has a water supply check, water goes into and comes out of dishwasher but soap dispenser is not working. She then said are you sure the dishwasher is level, and I was like yes, and did you reset it, yes. Well, she said, we can gladly send out a technician but if they determine you did something wrong with install we will bill you for their time. I am like forget it I bought it from Best Buy and its not even 2 months old so I called Best Buy and they are swapping it out for a real dishwasher a Whirlpool. Samsung service person told me that maybe the water going into the unit wasnt hot enough and that my unit didnt have a heating element, which I found out is untrue, but it is a very small heating element and is used more to maintain water temp rather than actually heat the water. So she tells me maybe I should just run hot water in the kitchen sink until it feels hot, then run the dishwasher, REALLY!!! No, I did not pay $400 to run my hot water first. Also this unit does not actually dry the dishes. It blows a little fan for about 20 minutes then says its done. Well actually it has no indicator its done other than no lights are on. But that leads to another issue of my kids not knowing if dishes are clean or dirty so tech suggested I get a magnet for that purpose, AGAIN NO!! I had a Maytag for 22 year and it never had an issue. The unit was only replaced because it was white... I should have kept it.So in short this dishwasher though looks nice and is quiet, does not heat water efficiently, does not dispense soap consistently, does not dry your dishes completely, and when it is working does not do a great job getting griming dishes clean. ALSO this unit somehow has broken 2 glasses that were on the top shelf, not sure how, but very crazy, and Samsung support, from my perspective, REALLY SUCKS!! If you call them expect to be blamed for using your product wrong or having it installed incorrectly and generally talked down to. So much for friendly customer service. Come on Samsung I have all your phone, tablets, and laptops about to go away if you cannot handle my appliance needs!!! Stay away from this Dishwasher!!!

I am having the same freezer issue with my 2 1/2 year old Samsung refrigerator! This is ridiculous! I replaced my 14 year old GE Profile refrigerator with this one! I never had an issue with my GE and Ive had nothing but issues with my Samsung appliances. A couple of months ago, the dryer had an electrical (NOT lint) fire so I had to buy another dryer and chose to replace my Samsung washer same time...and they were only 4 years old. I called customer service and she asked Anyone hurt or was there property damage? When I said no, thankfully I was at home and unplugged it before the fire trucks got there... she said... sorry. Your 4 year old dryer is out of warranty! She wanted to document any damage in case there would be a lawsuit. I dont care if its out of warranty or not... NO appliance should catch on fire. I dont care how old it is! Now... my freezer is not working and I lost all my frozen food. I called Samsung last night when I discovered it and she tried a couple of things with me then referred me to a dealer that is 2 hours away! They need to own it and take responsibility by providing recalls/repairs. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again! Samsung does NOT stand by their products. Period.

I mentioned to all 3 that I researched the problem and Samsung knows full well that they have a defective part that causes this to happen yet has not recalled the models or the part itself despite the fact that there is a pending class action lawsuit against them. Samsung 3 door model RFG298AARS 29 cubic feet advertised capacity - Purchas
Samsung 3 door model RFG298AARS 29 cubic feet advertised capacity - Purchased Feb 2, 2010. Works fine even the ice makers one on top and one in freezer drawer. Last year after 4 years the plastic on the door shelves, track, and mounting frame for the drawers began to crack and break. So far I have replaced 2 door shelves, the flip up section of the meat drawer, the frame with the glass top for the drawers and the frame bracket due to cracking and breaking to the extent that is not functional. These replacement parts have cost almost $300 so far. The 29 cubic foot capacity is measured wall to wall and does not take into account that the shelves do not go to the walls on sides or back greatly reducing the capacity of the refrigerator. I also find it difficult to clean with all the nooks and crannies. Spills work into the frame of every drawer or shelf and cannot be cleaned because that part does not come apart. I expect a refrigerator of this caliber to last nearly a lifetime. That does not appear to be the case here.

Purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator 16 months ago. It was pricey but it was a smaller refrigerator that fit well in our kitchen, and based on reviews on Consumer Reports thought it was going to be great. First problem is the door handles. Any slight bump of a dish going in the fridge chips off the black paint leaving white marks. Then I started noticing water in the bottom of the bins. After 13 months, the refrigerator stopped cooling. Of course, the year warranty was up, so I was responsible for the cost. Called Samsung and they said I would hear from a repairperson within 48 hours. After 3 days I called them back and said I hadnt heard from anyone, so they gave me the name of the company to call myself (could have saved time doing that in the first place). Repairman couldnt come for 2 more days. When he did, he said I would have to defrost all the ice that had built up on the back wall of the fridge and that he would order a part. So... 5 more days without a refrigerator. New part works. Then last week, noticed the refrigerator getting warm again, and the freezer had ice crystals all over and the food was rock hard. Put in a thermometer and the fridge was 58 and the freezer was -10. Repairman back out. He was stumped, but called their Samsung expert. He asked if we used the ice maker (no... we have enough problems). Seems the light that says ice off needs to be on, or the freezer works extra hard to make ice (even though there is no water hooked up). Hope this helps someone. So, again we had to defrost the fridge. Its worked now for a week - not sure how long this will last. Samsung needs to admit there is a flaw in their refrigerators and give us some compensation.

March of 2015, we purchased a Samsung Refrigerator from Nebraska Furniture Mart. A month after purchase, the ice maker stop producing ice. Called NFM and was given Samsungs number. Technician came out at least 4 times, only supplying temporary relief. Technician said, this is a manufacture problem. He said, Theres a sleeve in the back of the refrigerator that allows air to come in and with sub-below temperatures over freezes the ice maker, not allowing the ice make to function properly. After calling Samsung, they continue with the troubleshooting techniques. If you are experiencing this problem, dont allow the operators to troubleshoot your issue. Demand for a service tech. Tech from NFM set the temperature control way too cold. Fresh produce, butter, cheeses in the midsection of the refrigerator was freezing. Found out the correct temperature should be set on 0 and 37. To set you must hold the numbers one at a time for at least three to five seconds. Heading back to NFM to complain. If purchasing this refrigerator, spend the extra money and buy the warranty. A home warranty plan may also help defer the cost. NOT HAPPY WITH SAMSUNG RIGHT NOW!

My french door refrigerator from Samsung has to be the worst product we have ever purchased. We have to defrost this thing every other month. The repair company I had come out said he really couldnt do anything. I paid too much money for this refrigerator to throw it out but I really hate this refrigerator. We have purchased other Samsung products but I think they need to get out of the appliance business and stick to electronic.

This is going to be good. So go to the bathroom, grab a drink, sit down and get comfortable. In January last year, I purchased a Samsung refrigerator, a TV along with a washer and dryer. The total of the purchase was close to $6,000. The refrigerator decided it was not going to dispense water at Thanksgiving. We called and scheduled an appointment for service. We were told it was the panel at the front of the fridge. I took a morning off work and waited for three and half hours only for the tech to turn up and look at the fridge and say it is not the panel. It is the circuit board at the back. They would return a couple of weeks later to replace the circuit board. When the tech was at my house, I asked him to look at my Samsung 55 LED TV. I had a red dot in the middle of the screen. I had called Samsung before and they said that was acceptable. I argued the point, that the TV did not look like it in the store! The tech took one look at the TV and said that is not right and to call and get them to fix it. I called again to Samsung and complained again. I was put through to the executive customer relations. They then said they would fix it! Right! We scheduled a service appointment for the refrigerator and the TV. The service company was a mess and could not get anything handled. After multiple calls to them, a tech arrived at the house the Saturday before Christmas. Three hours later, still working on the fridge, the tech reached the conclusion it was not the front panel, not the circuit board in the back, but a bad ground on the fridge. Then he was about to leave and my wife reminded him about the TV. The TV was removed from the wall and he put a new panel in it and left it on the floor. I said I would hang it up when I get home. Little did I know the TV was not tested. I put the TV on the wall, plugged it in and there was a big blue screen. Nothing! I called Samsung technical support, spoke to a very nice man and said he felt my pain and was amazed at what I have already been through as a customer.I called the service company and the owner then called me back and he said there was nothing he could do. I then explained that I know how the job should have been done and reminded him that techs should test their work before leaving! The conversation was just a bit embarrassing for him. I called Samsung again just after Christmas. (The fridge was working fine at this point.) I spoke to executive customer relations and we were promised a new TV. Great problem solved. Number of days went by again with no call to confirm; I finally called and was put through to executive customer relations. They told me that the approval had been denied. I asked why and why did it take me so long to find out why. I asked them to figure out why one person can say yes and the other say no and no reason why! I pushed and told them to call me back in an hour with an answer. They did and then I asked to speak to a supervisor and they could not and I asked if they could email me to confirm what they were going to do. They wanted to repair the TV. I said no due to the fact we have by this point spent hours on the phone with the TV and the fridge and the service company. They transferred me to another department, appliances. That did not make me happy. My wife filed a complaint with the Better Business. We have their attention now, I thought. They looked at the file and yes, they admitted to me their customer service has a few problems. I laughed and told them to be in my position. If I did this at my job, I would be fired. I also got a call from the guy in charge of repairs at Samsung. We had to let them fix the TV. We are done. We have taken enough time waiting, calling and taking time off work. No one could say here is a new TV. My wife and I decided to buy another TV (Sony) to use for temporary measure while we decided to have the TV repaired. By this time, it was the first part of January. The tech turned up, fixed the TV and it worked. I told him the full story and all he could do was shake his head. Even the company he works for was part of the problem. I then got a call from someone at Samsung asking if the TV was fixed and I spoke to a man late in the evening and explained that no customer should be put through the circus of what we have. He agreed on every point I made and was truly embarrassed that this had been such a nightmare.I know I have missed parts out on this like the multiple dropped calls and the fact that we never got a work order receipt for the work carried out by the service company! They did send us a $50 gift card at Best Buy for our troubles. We added up that it has cost us, a couple of days off work not to mention the hours on the phone to no avail. It is not the end. Now, it is the end of January and guess what! Yes, the fridge will not dispense the ice. I called again and asked for executive customer relations. I called on Thursday last week. I explained the previous repair and what a problem it was and they were going to call me within 48 hours. They were meant to call me and yes, that did not happen. I called again on Monday and stated I want a new fridge and to call me back with an answer. Forgot to mention 48 hours! Today, they called my wife and wanted to schedule a service on the fridge. So yet again, more time off work and more time wasted on the phone. Our next step is not going to be good. The senior staff at Samsung need to put down the crayons, stop crying and let go of the sippy cup, wipe their face off and get down to following up with customers. If they had to deal with this mess like I have, they would think a lot differently. Follow up is key.My company is one of the largest car manufactures in the world and it puts the customer first. We aim to make all our customers happy and brand loyalty is a must. Samsung, wake up and deal with customers in the right way. Executive customer relations is a joke. Just call it Piss Poor customer service. From basic telephone skills, dealing with one person, not running the customer around from person to person. Follow up, tech training, the list can go on. I will never buy another Samsung product in my life. Not even if you paid me.

RF32FMQDBSR - Bought 11/29/13. 3 calls to have icemaker fixed in first 3 months. Month 15, cooling problems started for main fridge cavity. Had an extended warranty (THANK GOD), repairman took 3 trips to finally contact Samsung Engineers who then deemed my unit not repairable. Just ridiculous for as much as this thing cost to have 2 major issues in less than 2 years. My previous fridge lasted for over 15 years with the only issue being the seals around the doors wearing out. Samsung makes you do a song and dance to get your money back, which includes me disposing off fridge. I dont get reimbursed the tax I paid (nearly $300) and I have to peel stickers and cut the power cord.

The vegetable drawer on the left side kept on freezing over. I had two visits from the repair technician. On his final visit after constantly calling the repair department and following all of their instructions, he came to the conclusion that the fridge was not repairable. Samsung said since it was out of the manufacturer’s warranty. They would give me a prorated refund. Sound like I should be satisfied right? The only thing is that before I can get any money I have to cut the cord and send it in. With a family of 8 what am I supposed to do until then?! I find their policies heartless and immoral.

We purchased a French Door Samsung Refrigerator - model number RF4287HARS/XAA 2.5 years ago. We paid nearly $3000 for it at Best Buy. A little over two weeks ago the ice maker went out and soon to follow was the freezer and fridge. We called Samsung and after three phone calls of escalation they finally agreed to cover the diagnostic as an accommodation since we did not purchase the extended warranty. The repair guy has been here twice and has finally deemed it as non repairable. Each visit was over two hours and most of the time was spent with him on the phone with Samsung tech support. They replaced the CFAN and the main PCB but it still will not work. The repair company has sent 11 pictures to Samsung showing the error codes still coming up despite the repairs. Samsung is giving us the run around saying that they want the repair company to come back out. Not only are we out a very expensive appliance, $100s of food plus having to eat out mostly, we have lost countless hours on the phone back and forth as well as waiting on the repair guy. At what point does a company stand behind their product and actually take care of their customers? Samsung should be ashamed.

We bought Samsung refrigerator (four doors, model number RF28HMEDBSR, order number ** from Home Depot) and it was delivered on June 9, 2015. On July 19, after we came back from a five day trip and found there was water on the kitchen floor and the ice maker didnt work when I wanted to get some ice, we did more digging and found that there was a lot of water inside the refrigerator and the ice cubes were melt and crumpled together. We cleaned the floor and inside the refrigerator and called the Samsung service center. They sent a guy to fix the ice maker two days later. He seemed to change the ice maker. But the new ice maker never worked. It didnt even make any ice cubes and only water leaked to the inside of refrigerator and to the floor. I had to call again and they will come to check it next week. I never had the experience of having a month old refrigerator not working correctly. The old one (Hotpoint) we had lasted almost 30 years without any problems.

Over the last couple of weeks, I noticed tiny amounts of water at the bottom corner edge of my refrigerator (RF28HFEDTSR), right underneath the pull out drawer for the freezer. Thought it was just an ice cube that had found its way under the refrigerator and melted. This morning, I noticed the edges of my hardwood floors buckling up. Discovered water leaking from the top of the refrigerator that must have been seeping into the floor. Turned off ice maker and turned off water to refrigerator. Water still leaking from the top. Ive had to replace the towel twice within a two hour period. From what Ive read online, this is a very common problem with no real fix. Samsung, step up and do the right thing. My refrigerator is only 2 years old. Last December, a repair was done, but it was never finished because they never came back. So now the same repair people can now finish it because I had the same problem: ice forming in the freezer, but also the icemaker broke. The first repair was for a defective defrost part. So now I had to pay for an icemaker as the first time the guy broke the insulation. So now when they come back, I have to pay for a part he broke! That’s a good one! But never again will I buy any Samsung brand. I learned my lesson. This product was only one-year-old when I had problems with it. What junk!

We bought a french door Samsung Refrigerator, 3 years ago and it has proven to be a poor product. There has been ice build up in the Ice Cube maker to the point where we do not use it. That caused a lot of noise from the fan. There has also been ice build up in the back of the fridge. We defrosted the fridge and when it was plugged in the fridge unit will not go lower than 55C. Samsung have washed their hands of the product and for the 3rd time... We are forced to call in a repairman. In reading the various posts about this issue I do not understand how come they do not know what it is... (Planned obsolescence???). We are very disappointed in the product and will NOT buy a Samsung fridge again.

We have a very bad experience with the service of Samsung Refrigerator. It took nearly a week for them to visit our place to check on the complaint made. We had to follow with the service centre every day and request for a call back from the supervisor. The reason for the delay was lockdown. We were already on phase 4 of lockdown and most of the technicians had started moving around. They checked on our refrigerator and was told the problem could be either with the compressor or the inverter board and that they have to place an order for it and it will take 3 days...They finally came after 4 days and they said both and the board had to be replaced. It worked and the technician hardly stepped out and the same problem came up. We tried contacting the technician ..who said he cant come back immediately and he came the following day and said there was a problem with the compressor again... Mind you.. it was a new compressor ...and again they have to place another order and it will take another 3 days. The problem is they will not answer your calls nor will they update you on whats happening. The call center is pathetic. I have been calling them for the last 2 days requesting that we need to speak the supervisor. They say they will arrange for a callback but no one calls. Till now I have not received any call from them. Product may be good but if the service is bad.... We will never want to recommend this brand to anyone... Very poor response and poor service. Higher authorities need to check on this and address this issue immediately especially when there is so much competition. We have been without a refrigerator in this peak summer for nearly 2 weeks now. Dont know how long more we have to wait..??

The last time Sears sent one, he said my ice maker was working as it was suppose to! I am going to call them again and have them come out. It drops ice once every 4 or 5 hours, I dont think that is right. The ice container has never been full and I am the only one using ice and I am gone 9 hours a day! This appliance (Over the Range 2.1 Cu.Ft. Microwave Oven) was bought in April, 2016 for $500.00. In April, 2018 the vent began turning itself when no one was using the oven & ion. August 13th a fire had just started while I was asleep. Luckily I woke up & was able to unplug the oven. 8/14/16 I contacted Samsung. I was hung up on or suddenly disconnected a few times but was finally given a repair ticket. A repair shop called on 8/16 and told my husband that he had to take the microwave off its mount by 8/20 because they were coming. Although Samsung was paying them they could only come at one particular time on 8/20 and would not reschedule. Also they refused to come unless the microwave was unmounted. Two people have to unmount the microwave so we had to arrange help or that was it! I called Samsung right afterward and they said the ticket was canceled. From then on we got the runaround and the gist of it was that wed have to pay $200.00 or the cost of a repair, not having any idea whether or not it could be repaired.

The representatives dont really know what they are talking about. They just waste even more of the time. They are very polite though but not helpful. Finally, they told me they will send me a technician. This was exactly 2 months ago. Im still waiting for them to come and repair the dishwasher. At this point we know that replacing the dishwasher again may be the best option. Tossing $500 bucks annoys me but dealing with Samsung its not worth it anymore. Our 3 year old Samsung side-by-side with all the bells and whistles stopped cooling, both freezer and refrig side. After dealing with the noise created by freezing up inside freezing and fan hitting the ice, we learned to defrost it for a while then it worked. But now, after turning back on after defrosting a FROST FREE unit, the whole thing stopped working. Called Samsung and was told no warranty left on this appliance. Their repair company would take several days to come out, so I had my own repair person come look at it. They replaced several things, then came to the conclusion it was the compressor. This person even went online and discovered that there was supposed to be a 5 year warranty on the compressor that no one at Samsung told me about. I called back to Samsung to complain that I was technically deceived by not being told about the warranty. They said Too bad my technician had voided that warranty by trying to fix the thing and they would not honor any part of warranty. I am furious! I spoke with the highest department I could get to in Samsung with no success. I even asked for a CEO or someone like that who would listen to my complaint: Nothing. Now In stuck with a 300 pound paperweight~ wonder if it worth putting a new compressor in it since nearly everything else has been replaced? Dont Buy Samsung Appliances!!

During a heat wave mid January 2014 Victoria Australia this appliance decided to switch itself off. LED lighting on front panel showed no indication of this but the huge puddle on the floor sure did. All of the food in both refrigerator and freezer had to be thrown out. Repair people called, also call to Samsung who told me to try resetting the fridge, long story short. I followed their instructions to the letter, even cancelling the repairman.. What about all my food? Sent me forms, I sent back with photos of some of food on my tiled floor. On repeated phone calls was asked for receipts of food that was spoiled. Well slap me dead, please! Who keeps receipts on food, esp when frozen things could be 3 plus months ago.I was offered $100.00 compensation. I said that was not good enough. Do you know how expensive meat is? Anyway contacted consumer affairs here in Australia. They could do nothing except of advise to contact another govt organization and lodge a claim with them, VCAT, not to mention there is a cost involved with that. Three months on, no contact, no cheque and this last time I or my family will buy anything associated with Samsung.

We purchased a Samsung side by side refrigerator in 2013. In the summer of 2016, the fridge/freezer broke for the first time. Samsung sent out their qualified repair experts who attempted to fix the problem but in the process, caused further harm. They ended up attempting to fix the fridge 7 more times without success. They then determined that it was an entirely new issue requiring us to buy yet another part and pay for labor yet again. Contact with Samsung was unhelpful. Because we were out of the 1 year warranty time period, there was nothing they were willing to do. We were without a reliable refrigerator/freezer for more than 6 months. Many times we had to throw away all the food in the refrigerator and freezer. We interrupted our work and home-life schedule 8 times to be there for the repair service 4 hour window. We expected Samsung to recognize a faulty refrigerator and offer immediate compensation. This was a bad purchase-- we do not recommend Samsung to anyone. Their customer service is below any standard.

Samsung electric slide-in range. First -- Samsung does not honor its warranties. Second -- in a period of 3 years, the left front burner cause a break in the glass in the same place while boiling water on 8, not high. After pressing Samsung relentlessly and being accused of lying, they finally replaced the top, but with no additional warranty. Their repair people here in Ill, Unique didnt even run diagnostics. Less than one year later the same burner caused the same break with the same configuration as stated above. I was across the room, no I didnt hit the glass and no Im not a liar. Third -- I did manage to set a hot dog on fire using the broiler. I let the fire burn out as trying to fix it would add oxygen and thats not a great idea. It burned out the oven altogether. The oven will no longer work at all. Finally -- as for operation --- If you lean on the control system at all -- say to lift a pot from the back burner, you will likely turn on another burner or turn your oven on or off without knowing it. Great product. So, after spending too much on an inferior product I am now in the position of having to spend even more money to purchase a new oven. One might also consider the battery and glass problems that Samsung has had with their phones. Inferior glass... Inferior sub-contractors (Unique)... Inferior claims dept. Dont do this to yourself.

Plastic detergent door doesnt always open. I cannot put any dishes close at all. My other dishwasher (in the old home rental) still works great. I wish I still had it. I have tried several different ways to get better cleaning from the dishwasher. I should not have to baby this machine to clean my dishes. I have an OE error now. I purchased it at Lowes and extended warranty. I called on 02/03/13 and cannot look for service until 02/13/2013. Very inconvenient. I actually have shopped for a new one. I have owned or currently own monitors, mobile phones, washers, dryers, and TVs. I have been a loyal customer but my most recent purchase has me awestruck. About four months ago we purchased a SmartCare VRT laundry set. The day after it was installed we woke to find our home with a strong smell of gas. I determined it was coming from the laundry room and suspected the laundry appliance installation was at fault. We called Samsung for service and a technician was sent out. The technician investigated the gas leak and informed me that the gas lines to our new home were leaking and not one of the Samsung appliances. I called the gas company and when they arrived they found that there was a gas leak, but it wasn’t in the house lines. It was coming from the dryer. We called Samsung a second time. When the technician performed the second appointment he acknowledged that the dryer was leaking and scheduled another appointment to replace the faulty part. Three visits from the Samsung technician and finally we get a working dryer after two weeks. A few months later my wife started complaining about the washer stopping and throwing an error in the middle of hot water loads. After it happened a few times I told her to call Samsung for repair. The technician came out and spent about thirty minutes with the washer. He eventually called me in and told me that it has hot water and that there wasn’t much he could do. I informed the technician that when my wife pointed out the issue I recalled an error message “4C” being displayed when the wash would stop functioning and constantly beep with the error message. After basically living with a washer that won’t use hot water cycles for a couple of weeks my wife noticed that the dryer wasn’t drying clothes normally. We called Samsung again and informed them that our washer was still malfunctioning and now the dryer was not working well either. This time before the appointment I spent a couple of hours recording video on my phone of the 4C error and erratic behavior of the washer. The next day the technician arrived and spent about fifteen minutes with the dryer. The technician informed me that we shouldn’t use specific features (smart features like auto dry) on our dryer and that we should use timed dry. I was told that although the dryer had some warmth that there is heat so the dryer is working fine but at no time did the technician check the temperature with, how does he know if it’s getting up to proper temperature? Yeah, the dryer gets warm but not hot, in fact not even close to hot. When I mentioned the washer and show the technician the video of the malfunction, I was told it wasn’t on the work order and even though we called for service for it and had video of the malfunction that it could not be looked at because it wasn’t on the service order. Tonight, I followed the technician’s instructions and used the time dry to dry a handful of clothes. After one hour the clothes on high heat with eco dry turned off the clothes were still quite wet. The dryer clearly doesn’t work as it did a month ago. The technician also recommended cleaning our ducts but seriously it’s a six-month-old home and my wife does maybe three loads a week for two people, so the equipment is hardly being overworked much less should I have a duct problem. I also noticed that my wife is very good about cleaning the dryer lint catcher. She does it every load from what I see. I hate to ramble on but as you can see this has been nothing less than an adventure and a complete waste of my time not to mention the time off from work involved in six technician visits that didn’t result in our appliances being fixed. I recently posted all this information to the Samsung Facebook page and it was completely ignored for a week which is simply insulting at this point.

My fridge looks great, is relatively easy to clean, has lots of space and only a few less-than-perfect attributes: you must NOT pack stuff around the air-flow at the back of the fridge; the gasket is NOT tough enough (already cracked after 3 yrs); the plastic cover for the deli-drawer cracked! Overall, I would buy the unit again despite the 3 deficiencies detailed above. It cools well, looks great, and has lots of room.

In November 2011, our family purchased a counter depth Samsung Refrigerator, Model #RSG257AARS. Shortly after purchasing the refrigerator, the exterior door above the ice maker had a small divot. Originally, it appeared like someone in our family dinged it with a hard object. However, over the next year, the problem continued, and both doors are covered in small divots from the door handles to the top of the refrigerator. This is definitely a manufacturing defect. According to the representative from Samsung, the warranty was only good for one year, and Samsung refuses to stand behind their product stating this is not a recall issue. This was a large investment for our family, and we are extremely disappointed that Samsung will not support its customers and products. We would like to share this experience so other consumers can make an educated choice before making their purchase.

Bought Samsung 28.5 cu. ft. French Door Fridge (spent $2500) in Aug, 2010 from Sears. After 4 1/2 years, it broke (no longer cool in fridge and cold in freezer). Asked Sears repairman to come (inspection costs $85) and said the compressor has to be replaced. Control board may also need to be replaced which costs another few hundreds. Samsung only covers the compressor parts but not labor. Estimated costs for labor is close to $500. It is totally rip-off and the worst experience for buying appliances. Never buy Samsung again for their unreliable products. I have a 26 years Admiral fridge in the garage which still works fine (except bit dripping water under and bit rust on some outside metal hinge).

I would like to prevent others from going through the same disappointment (anger) of trying to obtain service on a Samsung refrigerator. When I bought the refrigerator 6 years ago at Lowes, I was told I would have service. After one week of many phone calls to Lowes and Samsung (a loss of all food in the freezer), I have a message on my phone today that they do not have a repair person in my area and I am to find my own person to repair my unit! Not to mention that a 6-year old refrigerator with minimal use is broken. I will never buy another Samsung product.

The Samsung refrigerator is not cooling. The warranty was up on April 1, 2012. The icemaker went out first a couple years ago. Now, the fridge part stopped cooling and then it’s the freezer. I had an appliance man out and he said he hates Samsung, for they are the lowest next to the LQs. He checked out the parts and thought it was a sensor and then found out it was the motherboard. He didnt have a motherboard, so we decided to check around for another refrigerator. Meanwhile, he suggested we turn it off and let it defrost. He suggested using a leaf blower to help it defrost all the way. Also, he said it may kick off and run fine from now on, but who knows?

We purchased this dishwasher in April 2015, but did not have it delivered to us until June when our kitchen was completed. The first dishwasher to arrive was damaged. Had a bent door frame so the door would not close. The company we purchased these from (PC Richards) replaced the dishwasher and a new one was sent. In December 2015 and exactly 6 months from when dishwasher was installed it is no longer cleaning the dishes or drying them. We had a tech come out and it was determined that the heating element was bad. We also showed him a broken wheel on the lower rack. Tech said he would order parts. The parts came in and the tech was here to fix the issue. However, the wrong wheels were sent. To this day we are still without the proper wheels. Also, we have had 3 service calls since the new heat element was installed and still dealing with the dishwasher not cleaning or drying the dishes. The tech made a call to Samsung and they did some tests and it showed the dishwasher is functionally normal with no issues. So here we are with a dishwasher that is only 6 months old not working!! This dishwasher is garbage.

I purchased all Samsung Appliances for my new home to include Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Oven and Front Load Washer and Dryer. The Refrigerator (Model RF253BEAESR) came in with dents and I have tried numerous times to get Samsung to repair and they have refused my requests. They sent someone to verify the dents and the repairman did confirm my complaint but Samsung still refuses to repair. Samsung does not stand by their product and I will never purchase Samsung products again.

Terrible quality. Why? Poor construction, handle breaks easily, uneven, low powered heating, turntable malfunction. Bought it to match a Samsung stove. First mistake. As usual, Samsung has all the technologies but refuses to manufacture quality products that perform as good as they look i.e. all Samsung cell phones, the Ceran-top convection oven. Stay away from this brand. LG is much better in most instances.
