Product Reviews:

We bought the Samsung double oven glass top electric range in January 2016
We bought the Samsung double oven glass top electric range in January 2016 for a bargain basement price of $1719, plus tax. Because they discontinued basic black we had to get the black stainless. In November, while wiping the upper oven door with a damp cloth some of the black stainless finish peeled off. I called Samsung Customer Service, if you want to call it that. They asked me to send a picture of the damage. They got back to me and called it consumer wear. I said, no its a defective finish. We went back and forth and finally, on December 5th they called me back and said its cosmetic and not covered. I said, the finish failed, and am I supposed to look at this for the next 8 years. They said I can get it fixed myself. In addition, the oven racks are so flimsy that when I had a 15 pound turkey in the oven the rack collapsed. Fortunately the other rack was right below and I was able to fix it. You have to remember to keep the pan in the center of the rack. Dealing with Samsung is worse than dealing with the VA. I will never buy another Samsung appliance. After reading the other reviews, Im really looking forward to some of the other problems I can have.

I’ve been wanting a range with a convection oven for a long time. I finally bought a handsome Samsung glass-top range with a convection oven at Home Depot. The oven is ok...but not anything special. It’s the cooktop that drives me crazy. Put the dial all the way low on the front left burner, and it will burn anything you put on it. Put the dial to low on any of the other four burners, and your food will remain cold. I called the Samsung Customer Service and finally got to a “range specialist.” He told me my utensils were to blame and then hung up on me. Don’t buy a Samsung range unless you’re a masochist..

Our Samsung microwave is a handsome piece of equipment and when it works, it works well. I wish I had done better research before buying it along with its suite of companion SS appliances. We, too, got the dreaded error code shortly after the warranty expired. Once the 5E error code appeared, nothing we did, unplugging and plugging, or buttons we pushed could get it working again. Luckily, my engineer husband managed to fix the problem since the company is rather less than customer-friendly when dealing with this apparently well-known problem. The fix requires one to remove the inside control panel and wipe off the contacts, which apparently are affected by steam rising from cooking on the range underneath. We have had to do this several times in a row (like twice in one day, then the following week type of thing), but since cleaning the contacts about four months ago, it has not happened again. Im keeping my fingers crossed, but I am extremely disappointed with Samsungs customer service in dealing with this issue. Also, it was my first time buying SS appliances - and it will certainly be the last. I dont know if its just this brand, but I find the finish is way too delicate for our bustling kitchen.

After several missed phones call I finally received a notification via email that Samsung would extend a one time repair accommodation. The repair man was a tad testy with me for not having my refrigerator plugged in so that he could get the code off of the computer. Excuse me it hasnt been working for almost a month now. Im not going to leave it plugged in. Eventually, he managed to troubleshoot the problem. He wanted to change the evaporator fans but I wouldnt agree to that since my husband had already tested those and they were working properly. Im knocking on wood and hoping for the best the fridge is working now with no problems. I can only hope I get a very least another 3 years out of it. Im and saving my money now for its replacement. Thank you to Samsung for doing the right thing

I bought a Samsung RS25H511SR from Home Depot 5 Years ago and have had nothing but issues. We also purchased a 3 year warranty to cover the fridge. So 3 months first issue goes into demo mode. We tried everything that the internet said to. Made the call, guy came out and had to reset fridge computer. Six months fan went out, 18 months the freezer control board went out. So our warranty had a 3 time lemon rule. Cool new fridge right? No! Had to be same part. So we went on like this till warranty ran out and they would not renew warranty. So stuck with a fridge that has cost me thousands of dollars in food not to mention the $1500 I paid for it. Stay away from Samsung and Home Depot

Samsung has a two year class action lawsuit against it and has known about its faulty icemakers for YEARS, but it continues to sell refrigerators that cannot be repaired. If you are lucky, your icemaker will work for the year it is under warranty. However, expect within six months after that first year, your icemaker will freeze and require constant thawing by a blowdryer. You can pay $250-$500 for a service fee for the technician to inform you that there is NO repair and NO replacement. Your only option is to continue to thaw the icemaker area with a blowdryer EVERY DAY! RUN, do not walk, RUN as fast as you can from Samsung refrigerators!

Like so many, I purchased a French door Samsung refrigerator and had nothing but trouble. I have read so many reviews and complaints about the Samsung refrigerators, as well as the poor service Samsung provides. What I know is that many larger retailers such as Home Depot and Lowes who sell the product are as guilty as Samsung for selling and promoting a product that has proven to be a consumer failure. I note that there is a class action lawsuit initiated in the U.S. I propose we do the same in Canada as well as hold retailers who sell the product responsible too. If you are in Canada and have had nothing but grief from your Samsung refrigerator, please email me at **.

I do so ... After talking with Samsung I was told they wont replace the unit even if it was a day old and that their policy was to repair the unit and if they were unable to do so only then would they consider replacement... Its really hard to buy any type of appliance and have it malfunction after a few days use and have to have it repaired... I think thats so wrong. SHAME ON YOU SAMSUNG. Our family purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator (RFF266-AEPN) in fall 2016. It was about $1,600 and looks nice. In February 2018 (after 12 months - when the warranty expired), we heard random beeping noises in the afternoon and evenings with the freezer temperature panel fluctuating wildly from -8F to 2F. I had a bad feeling when two high-quality appliance repair companies both refused to diagnose or fix ANY Samsung refrigerators. The Sears Appliance Service Company said the freezer fan was broken and that the replacement part was $650 in addition to a service installation fee ($150). So, now Im stuck with purchasing a brand new refrigerator in less than 2 years! Beware if you purchase a Samsung refrigerator. Im never going to buy a Samsung-brand refrigerator again.

Samsung fridge leaks water inside freezer, so there’s always a layer of ice under the crisper. Known problem, hundreds of reviews, but Samsung will do nothing to resolve. Additionally, Samsung changed the design of their fridge water filters. Faulty design, they don’t fit - see hundreds of reviews. Transferred numerous times, dropped call, and foreign reps that barely speak English. Samsung refuses to accept a return because it has been more than 14 days of receipt of the defective filters. Really? Like I’m going to remove a good water filter from my fridge to check if the new one will fit? We will never buy another Samsung product.

Samsung model RE266AEPN froze up right at one year old and my wife noticed a hairline crack in the plastic at the front of the tray above the vegetable and fruit drawers. They had a company replace the evap cover and defrost sensor, which so far has cured the freeze up problem. They refused to replace the tray because we must have broken it. Ive owned a lot of refrigerators in my 70 years. This is the first that Ive ever broken in years. Also, youve got to be careful in opening the Cool Select pantry. The cover is narrower than the opening and if its not centered in the opening, one end will pop out of its attachment. Im sure they would say thats our fault also!

Consumers need to know that Samsung refrigerators have an inherent manufact
Consumers need to know that Samsung refrigerators have an inherent manufacturing design defect concerning the defrost cycle in the freezer section. If any number of components are non-functional, a sheet of ice builds up behind the freezer panel and the fan is unable to spin even if it receives a signal from the PCB (computer board). This horrible sound described by many customers is the fan grinding against the ice as it is trying to spin. There is a defrost temperature sensor that is read by the main computer board. When the temperature in the freezer falls below 18-22 degrees, the PCB picks up the decrease in temperature from the defrost sensor and sends a voltage signal to the bi-metal thermostat, which closes a circuit inside the thermostat (two metal strips) and sends voltage to the heater. The heaters job is to keep the evaporator coils from developing frost and ice buildup. The same thing can happen in the refrigerator section since Samsung designed a twin evaporator system for its refrigerators, one for the freezer section and one for the refrigerator section. Also, there is a timer which is integrated into the PCB that is supposed to keep the thermostat closed for a specified period of time in order for the heater to do its job. Sometimes, the timer on the PCB is faulty and it doesnt maintain the voltage long enough to keep the thermostat in the closed position in order for the heater to defrost the evaporator coils. Unfortunately, the failure of any one of these components can cause a problem resulting in ice build-up and the freezer not working. Samsung has re-engineered or modified its heater and evaporator systems in its refrigerator models several times over. Also, there are complicated voltage readings that should be read from the PCB, and very few, if any, technicians know how to read the PCB or take the time to perform a full diagnostics test. In order to perform a full diagnostics check, the technician has to put the refrigerator in a forced defrost mode which includes both compartments (fridge & freezer). Most technicians do not like to perform this test because it takes time and time is money to an appliance repair business. If you decide to hire a technician, make sure he performs a forced defrost mode test and reads the voltages at the PCB. In order for the tech to read the voltages, he/she has to remove a panel in the back of the refrigerator to access the PCB with his multimeter. Also, the tech should perform a continuity test on the thermal fuse, heater, thermostat, and defrost temp and humidity sensors. If you want to have a better understanding of your Samsung refrigerator, type in Samsung fast track troubleshooting on Google search.Good luck and make sure your technician performs all of the above-mentioned tests. If he refuses, ask him to leave. I know from my own experience, I will never purchase a Samsung product again. Also, a class-action lawsuit has been brought in a few states by several law firms that combined their forces against Samsung. You can Google Samsung refrigerator class-action lawsuit. The complaint should be there on one of the pages.

In 2016 we purchased a Samsung refrigerator and other Samsung kitchen appliances. The refrigerator Model RF25HMEDBSG is a piece of junk with the ice maker freezing over ALL the time. At first we called and had a tech come out to fix it. He mentioned that this is a very common problem. So after reading all the same issues others are having why is there not a recall on such a piece of junk. DO NOT waste your money. If there was a negative star... thats what I give our four year old dishwasher. It worked okay for the first year, then dishes were always cruddy, even if we carefully rinsed them. We were forever cleaning it the filter, which was never actually dirty, but to no avail. Then, we started getting the dreaded OE error. Wed restart, and it would generally go, though wasting the fill water in drought struck California. Then, it would not work, right before New Years. Repairman came out, correctly diagnosed the problem, replaced the electronics board for $380. Four weeks later, OE flashing again. This time it was the water valve. The repairman did the rest as described by Samsung to diagnose it, as he had the previous time -- I watched. Replaced THAT part, for another $320. Worked once, then OE began flashing. To say that I am LIVID would be an understatement. I called Samsung and got the company line that because it was so old... My last dishwasher lasted 22 years. By the way, we also bought a Samsung refrigerator. Within a year the in-door water began leaking inside the fridge and then freezing under the bottom door, effectively gluing it in place. This, like the OE problem, is a well known problem and Samsung refuses to fix it. NEVER again.

Samsung RF217ACPN leaking issue - Purchased the French door refrigerator in August 2010. It started to leak water inside and bottom of the drawers after about 18 months. We just put a sponge down those areas, and clean the water when it very wet. Then we took all food out and leave all doors opened for a couple days in the summer. Less than 2 weeks, the water drop again and even worse. We then repeat the above procedure and left it dry for 3 days this time in the summer. Nothing was changed. We decided to open the cover locate above the drawers. Then we find out that it seems has been opened and repaired before we purchased it! There is big hole at side of bottom of the foam that have tape to cover it. The metal panel has separated with the foam that used duct tape to connect them. The soft stick tape was broken and covered only 3/4 of the bottom...

I called and they sent out a service guy. He said it was normal. I accepted that but then it got worse. I called Samsung cust. service and sent them pictures. They said I would be able to get a replacement fridge. They gave me a reference number to give to Best Buy. I did that and Best Buy said the number did not work. Whatever that meant. Since then I have called every month for 5 months and they always give me a bogus number. Yesterday I called again and they said I would be getting a call from their executive customer service center within the hour with a correct number. I never heard from them. I truly was shocked a thief not fixing his saving me so called money. Should have known when I asked for a receipt and he said they would mail it to me. For 220. Vann snapped the computer ice maker and did not wait even long enough to see if ice maker worked. It did not.Plus Vann said he would fix my ice maker on my Whirlpool. Supposedly wrote down info. He has never returned to put in the new ice maker I bought on the Samsung and never came on Whirlpool. Even told him to order parts. He vanished and I did not turn him in. I waited for receipt of my payment. Never came. Wake up Louies. That Vann guy is ruining your good recommendation I was given by one of your customers. Obviously they had an honest employee of yours to service their appliance. Samsung you suck. Worst product I ever bought. That is why I had ask to fix a 10 year old Whirlpool. Nothing happened, so they opened a ticket and told me I would have to pay $80 to have a tech diagnose the problem. There was no further attempt at phone troubleshooting. We called Samsung, no complaints about the customer service, however the communication between Samsung and services provider is really bad. The first one said our manufacturer warranty was expired in March 2015, but we bought the fridge in August. Second service guy came over; very pleasant guy; changed the defrost panel. It has been exactly a month that they changed the back panel, and the noise from the fan going against the built ice came back. Same thing, different person. Fridge Model RF217ACRS, manufactured in 2011. Problem started in 2014. Samsung refuses to pay for repair even though original chat transcript with Samsung Support inferred they will stand behind their product, after creating a ticket for me even though the fridge was out of warranty. Problem Description: Fridge coils freezing up, causing fan to rub on ice making a loud noise. Defrosted it multiple times, problem comes back within a week or 2. A&E Services wanting to charge $361 for the repair of what they claim is a $12 sensor. A&E Factory Services tech also told me that this is the cause of 90% of the problems reported regarding Samsung refrigerators. My guess... A&E and any other Samsung Authorized Service Center is being paid off by Samsung to cover-up the actual fault, which may lie with the evaporator, as if the water is drained/evaporated correctly, should not build up as ice on the coils, in my unprofessional opinion. Keep in mind, the evaporator is covered under the Samsung 5-year warranty, but the $12 sensor is not, and their repair techs will charge you out the *you know what* ($360) to replace it. I will never buy another Samsung device as long as I live, and I will steer all my friends and family away from them.

Purchased a Samsung RF25HMEDBSR/AA new a few years ago. Since it was new, the fridge has had an issue where it builds ice blocks up the coils until it freezes the fan in place. The frozen fan and coils results in the fridge failing and food spoiling. Approximately once every three months since this fridge was purchased I have had to take it apart and manually de-ice everything.I reported the issue to Samsung and was set up with a date a service provider was supposed to show up. They never came so I contacted Samsung again and was informed that due to where I live there are no authorized Samsung repair shops. They cancelled my open ticket and told me if I wanted it fixed Id have to contact someone on my own and front the bill. Lessons learned: Do not buy this fridge, it has serious issues with being able to defrost (I should note- I live in northern WI, not an hot and humid climate). Do not support Samsung, they will not stand by their product.

On the advice of a salesman at Lowes we purchased a Samsung side by side (model RF197ACWP). He did tell me that there had been some problems with the icemaker so I tried to buy one without an icemaker. Not possible. Im very handy; when it arrived, I thought it would be a simple matter to remove. Not so; when you try and remove it, the refrigerator doesnt work. I managed to figure out the wiring and bypassed the icemaker and removed it. Worked for one year, four months before the problems began--pools of water and icing under the vegetable and meat bins; paint began coming off the handles.I found a Youtube that told me how to deal with the pools of water under the vegetable and meat bins--a 30-40 minute operation that has to be done every two or three months. Repainted the handles with epoxy paint. (Fortunately they were white). Then the vegetable drawer began freezing lettuce, vegetables, etc. Tried recommended fixes--nothing worked. Replaced sensor. No improvement. At that point, I called a local repair service--the tech laughed and said that Samsung was helping him with his retirement. His best guess was that it was the mother board (hes replaced several). Repair would be about $250. But he went on to say that, if the refrigerator were his, he would head straight to the county dump and leave it there. What a piece of crap.

I am following up on my last post on this appliance. I was promised a callback yesterday in regards to my freezer not working in my 7-month-old Samsung (4-door). I called today and was told by Alicia at Samsungs executive customer relations line that they will not honor my request for reimbursement for the food I lost. She said because the freezer started freezing again, there is nothing wrong with it and it doesnt need a service call. She said that if they sent someone to service it, they would have reimbursed me for the food. I told her to send someone as appliances are not self-healing and there has to be a problem for this to happen in the first place and I am afraid to put anything else in the freezer. She told me I must have pushed a button, such as the child lock button for this to have happened. I have never touched this panel. It is exactly as it was when it was installed. I also wonder why if the child lock button had been pushed, would all the food thaw out? She said they could do nothing for me. No service call, no reimbursement.

We have had our stove oven and microwave combo since January 2015. And in that short time our oven has broken 2 times and microwave just broke! It’s less than 3 years old!!! What happened to those stove and ovens we had for 8-10 years before they showed any distress?!! The numbers and info on the stove wiped off years ago, and now we GUESS what burner we are using and at what temp. Worst brand ever! Worst stove set we ever bought! Wish we did our homework and seen these bad reviews first.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher in Jan 2014 model #DW80F600UTB/Aa - Do not buy this!!! First off it never dried the dishes then approx 6 month later it would stop in mid cycle blinking lights on panel. After a long hard researching & calling Samsung I was told the issue was the turbidity sensor, I replaced that & it worked for about 3 months. Then it started the same thing, now I am told its the main control panel.. (no I did not get extended warranty). I just got that part but unfortunately the part was bad so I have to send it back for a new one. The bottom line - do not buy this dishwasher. Its horrible. You should stick with G.E. - at least they stand behind their products.

In the past two weeks my Samsung refrigerator has been producing ice underneath the freezer part and I have to defrost a refrigerator from the like the 1950s. My Samsung dishwasher went out and I had to replace it And my top loading Samsung washing machine went out. This is all taking place in the past two weeks and these appliances are less than three years old. To make matters worse my 55 inch plasma Samsung TV went out last night. Samsung needs to make appliances that will last you longer than three years. This is an absolute shame that you can sell your appliances to people and within three years they break down. Samsung needs to stand behind their products and make better products. I will NEVER recommend a Samsung again or buy another one of their products.

I bought my a Samsung RS-261MDWP model # refrigerator about 3 years ago from Best Buy. It has been a nightmare. Within the first 6 months I had 5-7 service calls. Thank God I purchased the extended warranty. The ice maker went out, the display board stopped working, they had to replace the motherboard, and a couple other things. Finally, after about 3 months of nonsense and not getting all the repairs done in a timely fashion, I was so fed up that I just walked in to Best Buy and demanded they give me another refrigerator. Of course I got the story that it has nothing to do with them and I would have to call Samsung or their Geek Squad department at their toll free number. I demanded to speak with the store manager or someone in corporate. I told them I have had several different men in my house for the past 5-6 months because the 3rd party company they are using for repairs doesnt know what they are doing and keep sending different people which all say its something else every time. I finally got a higher up manager that agreed that this was ridiculous and gave me whole new refrigerator. It wasnt even 6 months before we had to have a service call on that one. I have even ignored some of the other problems just because I dont want to have to keep calling them because they put you through so much. Today I had no choice because it has begun to make so much noise, it gets louder than the television. I will never buy a Samsung again. It also has started to freeze up, meaning it locks us out from getting water or ice so we have to unplug it for about 1 min so it will reboot. I say its possessed.

We have a Samsung Induction Range purchase in 2013. There have been consistent issues, but nothing as serious as last night. I was washing dishes when I heard a clicking sound. When I looked over at the range, the panel and burner lights were flashing. Within seconds there was an extremely loud pop and then major arcs and flames. Since our breaker box was in the next room, I was able to turn power off to the unit right away. The range is out of warranty, however, because an electrical fire should be considered a major safety issue, I contacted Samsung and explained what happened. So, Samsung is sending a appliance repairman out to assess the damage and because my oven was on fire, they wont charge me a diagnostic fee! Really Samsung? Shame on you! You should be taking this oven fire issue a little more seriously than you seem to be, especially in light of so many complaints that have been lodged against you just this year alone.

We bought all new kitchen appliances (4) from Home Depot and they were delivered Feb. 2014 to our winter home in Florida. The dishwasher has been used under a couple of dozen times (only 2 of us) as we did not use the place much since then due to our schedules. Arrived in Florida this week and first time we tried, it failed. We got the HEAVY & the Smart Auto indications on it and nothing worked. Searching online we find that this issue is well-known and well-reported by a lot of folks and reading their comments makes us regret buying anything from Samsung. Contacting Samsung was beyond ridiculous.Justin ** | Samsung Electronics America | Social Media Support & Executive Customer Relations made these comments: ...there is no known issues with this particular model. Despite all sorts of homeowners and technical people knowing all about it? Really? And also, ...we would be unable to offer any accommodations. Nothing? That is all you got to say and all you wish to do? Really?I even sent this guy links to various review sites all describing their exact same pain and you are totally unaware? Really? Perhaps lift your head out of the sand might help? We could pay to fix it as some have, but as so many stated the repairs failed again and in some case again & again I feel the best action is to throw Samsung in the garbage pile where they belong and purchase a better and more reliable dishwasher. And now I fear the future as the range, the fridge and the microwave are also Samsung appliances. Why oh why did I buy Samsung? ARGH!!!

My dishwasher would not use the dishwasher packets I was using to wash the dishes. The soap dish flap would open, but the packet would not be used. I call Samsung and their support is the WORST! I got a guy that spoke poor English and probably never saw a dishwasher before. I told him the problem and he told me to clean the dispenser and turn off the circuit breaker. It was a TOTAL waste of time. He asked for the serial number and I gave it to him 3, (YES THREE TIMES), then he told me he was not paying attention when I gave him the number. Then he wanted to know the service provider of my cell phone. What has that got to do with the dishwasher, but he said he needed it. At that point, I knew that Samsung support people were brain dead and I just hung up. I already spend too MUCH time trying to explain the problem and another 4 hours with their support would not have made a difference. I do plan to get rid of my Samsung dishwasher and go back to my Whirlpool. I had a Whirlpool for over 10 years and NEVER had a problem with it. I replaced it because we decided to redo our Kitchen with Stainless appliances and we went with a few Samsung appliances. Now I will never buy Samsung appliances again. My recommendation is if you buy Samsung and need any support you are hosed! You will spend a lot of time on the phone with a moron that does not even know his products and wont know nor care what your problem is. He will read from a list of trouble shooting guides, which may be totally irrelevant to your specific problem. (i.e. your car wont start and the guy tells you to change the tire). One more thing, I asked the support guy for an order number and he told me he got an error code on his computer and could not give it to me. STAY, make that RUN, AWAY from this company!

Now that the Warranty has expired (1year Warranty) they send out a Tech and want $350 to fix a known leaking issue. They even have a special kit just for this issue. We purchased the Samsung model DMT 300 RFS dishwasher from Lowes. We are extremely unhappy with the performance. First, it has broken over a dozen glasses, a problem we have never had with other dishwashers. Also, after every load, we are rewashing some dishes by hand due to poor cleaning. We have tried different rinse agents and detergents and more extensive pre-cleaning but nothing helps. But the straw that broke the back was a problem four days out of warranty that we had to pay to get fixed. The staff on the help line was rude at best but far better than the supervisor I spoke with. I am a contractor who has installed over 100 dishwashers. This is the worst installation design I have ever seen. The hot water & drain connections are at the left rear corner of the D/W. The hot water supply line requires a 90 degree fitting (which is NOT supplied). The water supply connection is 3 above the floor & 4 from the left side. The water connection fitting on the D/W is PLASTIC. You have to buy a 90 degree fitting (brass), then remove the BRASS connector nut & replace it with the PLASTIC nut provided with D/W. When you connect the water supply line to the 90 degree fitting, it has to bend at a 90 degree angle to fit in the cabinet opening. The Drain hose is also connected at the rear left hand corner. You are warned to not overtighten the 90 degree fitting (PLASTIC) or it can cause a leak. THEN, it tells you to slide the D/W into the cabinet opening & be careful not to kink the water & drain hoses. It is such an idiotic design that the instructions actually say, Get a SECOND or THIRD person to help you if this is necessary. Once installed you have no way of seeing if the water or drain hoses are leaking, until it is too late. Three days later water was dripping from my basement ceiling, due to water connection leaking and ruining my bamboo kitchen floor. For 46 years I have installed D/Ws with the connections right in front behind the base panel. An easy connection for one man/woman and you can readily observe if you have any leaks. Samsung should stick to TVs.

We recently purchased Samsung Dishwasher Model #DW80K5050 that seemed visually fine on delivery. When we attempted to install it a week later, there was internal damage not visible from the outside. Samsung sent a rep to confirm the DW had likely been dropped to cause multiple internal issues. When we shared this with Build.com, they said they had no responsibility since damage was not reported in their 24-48 hr window EVEN THOUGH DAMAGE WAS INTERNAL and COULD NOT BE DETECTED FROM THE OUTSIDE. And when we reached out to Samsung they said their warranty doesnt cover new appliances that had never operated (i.e. delivered broken). So we are stuck with a yet to be installed dishwasher for which we just ordered replacement parts at our expense. I would avoid buying from Build.com that was unwilling to correct this situation despite nearly $20,000 of appliance purchases from them the past year alone. And I would also avoid purchasing Samsung appliances based on their customer service, or lack thereof.

In 2010, we finally upgraded our appliances that we had for over fifteen years. Of course, the Samsung appliances came highly recommended. I did three months of research, even though there were many red flags and negative reviews about Samsung appliances. Thanksgiving 2011, the refrigerator began making a loud noise. Of course, the warranty has expired, but we have purchased extended warranty. So no problem, right? Wrong. The tech could not come until one week later. To make the story short, the issue was finally resolved in Christmas week. May, it’s the same problem. And now there’s an SE error code on the microwave, but no warranty. Samsung contacted a technician and he said it would cost $202.82, about the amount we spent on microwave. Needless to say, I would never buy another Samsung product again and will make sure to let anyone I know of the poor quality products they sell to us Americans who work hard for their money. I do, finally, have a question: if Samsung knows of the problems, why not resolve it before it becomes a class action suit?

Samsung otr microwave smh9207st is very dangerous and should be recalled. It had the door replaced twice and almost every holiday while I was cooking on the stove the steam rose and if the microwave was turned on it died like it isnt sealed properly. I think it was the third time it actually caught on fire and the magnetron and numerous parts were replaced free of charge with the promise if it failed again it would be replaced with no problems. When it died again they did not replace it - they repaired it again. When it died again they admitted they had it on record it was supposed to be replaced but refused to. They would pay for the magnetron but that was it. I would be responsible for the labor and any other parts. The repair service visit for the fire the repairman had just left a place not 20 miles from me for the same microwave catching on fire. I wanted to share my experience because I believe someone might truly get hurt by this product. I will not repair this again for the fear of burning my house down. I will never buy one of their products again because I have found they do not care if it is dangerous. They should recall and discontinue making it.

Shame on Samsung and all who work for this company. Should have bought from Sears, not Future shop. We have continual problems with the evaporator coils freezing up. This seems to be caused by a serious design defect(s). The drain for the water defrosted from the evaporator coil during the normal defrost cycle will freeze and stop up, causing melt water to overflow into the crisper bins. The evaporator coil freezes over, causing the fan to stop, leading to temperatures in the cabinet being wrong. The vegetables in the crisper bins freeze, and the upper cabinet is too warm. The internet is full of complaints on this issue, and Samsung is hiding behind its legal limit on the warranty expiration. There is a cheesy metal tab that extends from the defrost element toward the drain hole, but is does not prevent the drain hole from freezing over. I tried modifying it by extending a copper wire as a heat conductor from this tab further into the drain hole... to no avail. This design was obviously not tested enough, with food in it in normal use, to discover the problem. I would forgive a design flaw if Samsung would fix it and make modified parts available to current owners. I will not forgive them for leaving customers with a $2000 lemon and doing nothing for them. I suggest everyone AVOID SAMSUNG PRODUCTS due to their disregard for their customers and lack of action to fix a defective product.

Model RF220NCTABC/AA - cracking noise from doors. The problem with the doors is not exactly in the hinges themselves. There are two plastic pieces: one black in the top next to the hinge, another white in the bottom next to the hinges. These parts have the function of toggle-close the doors and unfortunately are not of the right quality. They are each attached to the door with one Phillips screw. If any of them breaks, you get the crack sound. I just removed the one on the bottom right and the problem went away. Your technicians answering the phone should be trained on that and even if the refrigerator was bought more than one year ago, send customers these parts for free. Probably the postage will be more expensive than the parts.

Warning! Do not waste your money purchasing this colossal pile of garbage (5.8 cu. ft. Slide-In Induction Chef Collection Range NE58H9970WS). It rarely bakes/cooks evenly and it will frequently and rapidly overheat causing your food to burn and ultimately fry the electrical panel. Upon calling Samsung the only assistance they were able to provide was how to spend more of my money on their faulty product. Samsung takes zero responsibility for what is clearly a common issue with these oven ranges. As it stands my options are to spend $$ on a new electrical panel and the cost incurred on its installation and the additional fix-it repair to stop the oven from constantly overheating, or throw the darn thing away. Im going with the latter of the two. I will never purchase anything from Samsung again. If I could give is NEGATIVE STARS I would.

DMT300 Series Dishwasher from Samsung - I absolutely hate my dishwasher. I paid $700 for it and was told by the sales person that they had nothing but good reviews on this particular dishwasher. Ive had it for 4 years and I think it has only been operational for 12 months...drain, water level sensor, washer arms splitting. Just replaced the o-ring in drain housing at a cost of $38 for an o-ring. Now water level sensor is on. You just go through one thing to another. At the time I bought mine, I bought one for my daughter and it is useless also. At least she got about 2 years out of hers. I hope a class action suit develops as I would certainly join.

Samsung dishwasher DW80J3020 poor performance. Why cant these companies just make dishwashers that work? Why do they try re-inventing something already done? Now we have DWs that claim to SANITIZE but leaves dishes wet and spotty. AND it takes hours of electricity to produce lousy results. To top it all off manufacturers dont care. When can we get something that works, made in the USA? Oxymoron? Top dollar for a stainless steel unit that s noisy and does a poor job. It doesnt even have a lower heating element, so how can it SANITIZE? Fool me once. No more SAMSUNG and Im telling it to all I meet.

Dreaded SE microwave called - On the phone as I typed with customer service for Samsung, I mentioned the epidemic warranty and was approved for service. After receiving a transaction number, I was transferred to the Executive Customer Relations Department who verified all my information and issued another ticket number. I will be waiting to hear from a service rep regarding who will be coming to fix my unit. If I understand correctly, some models made between 2008 and 2011 are covered so give it a shot. I will update once service is complete

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator in May of 2015. We had it 2 days and it wasnt cooling, so Best Buy brought out a new refrigerator. That worked for 2 weeks and then the freezer was not cooling. Everything melted and we lost the food. Samsung did repair it. Now the refrigerator is 2 months beyond a year of purchase and the icemaker has failed. We have had a tech here twice, he did not know how to repair it. Finally Samsung sent a tech of their own. Multiple design problems with the icemaker confirmed by the tech. We are going to have to pay for the motor in the icemaker. I dont know the cost yet as he is working on it now but he said it is not cheap. Samsung refuses to stand behind this piece of junk refrigerator. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG!

Electric fire with Samsung range-top microwave, model SMH1713S - Purchased from Lowes Cerritos Town Center, Long Beach, CA, approximate price $300+/-. Normal use for less than one year, now producing smoke indicative of an electric short/fire in the mechanism. Also, failure of the main microwave generator as evidenced by lack of heating of material placed in the oven chamber. Major fire hazard, should be the subject of a recall from Samsung, but I do not see any indication that they have taken this type of action. Do not purchase Samsung microwave ovens. They are dangerous.

Now the crispers and the tray under them are filling with water. Repairman said it may be the sensor or the seals, but not sure. Also he said that it is a known problem with these refrigerators. Unfortunately for me, I didnt read reviews prior to making my purchase. We bought a 4-piece appliance group at a Black Friday event at a local retailer. I hadnt had an ice maker working in my previous fridge for 5-6 years on a 21 year old product. So, needless to say, I was tickled to finally have new appliances with a working ice maker! We had the appliances delivered and hooked up around the first of the year. Within a month and a half the ice maker quit working. We put in a service call and waited. Within about week and a half the technician arrived and swapped out the entire ice maker components. Working again! Apparently, the water line didnt line up right within the unit and the overspray of water iced up the unit eventually.About a month later, same thing happened. Put in a service call, complained about our unit being a lemon and needing to be replace. Sorry sir, we have to have at least 2 service calls before we consider replacing a unit. After waiting for almost a month, technician arrives, replaces all the ice unit components again. Working again! And, the technician said Ill be coming back as he was leaving. Hummm.About 3 months later, the unit completely stopped making ice. Once again, Ive called the customer service, complaining about my unit being a lemon needing to be replaced. Here I am two weeks after that call. No ice, no calls within 24-48 hours which is how everything happens at Samsung apparently. My case was given to a validation group, and Id be getting a call from an Executive in 24-48 hours.8 days later, I get a call this morning from an Executive. She wasnt there to soothe my concerns but rather to inform me that my issue had been sent to a review board. And, they would be contacting me in 48-72 hours... Oh crap! Also during this conversation I was informed that my 1-year warranty was NOT a product warranty but rather a SERVICE warranty, and that they will likely be sending a technician out again for another service and there was NO guarantee they would be considering the replacement of my product. Despite raising my blood pressure and me speaking my disapproval, she ups her attitude, and goes rude on me and we get nowhere. Im waiting the determination of the review board.I call up my retailer, and basically get the its not our problem routine. I ask, so, what happens when my warranty runs out? Oh, sir, you can purchase an extended warranty... And there my friends is the scam. Samsungs product is crap. Samsungs customer service is horrendous, unless you like banging your head on the wall and getting nowhere... In 24-48 hours.I should not have to Google up how to unfreeze a Samsung ice maker on a brand new unit! Be careful to read your warranty, its not a replacement warranty, its a service warranty... Service their way to the 1-year expiration, and wash their hand of you. Unless of course, you spend more money and buy an extended warranty. Do yourself a huge favor. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE, product is crap and customer service is horrendous at best.

Again. Bought a Samsung French door refrigerator #RF263BEAESR/AA and within the first year we had to have several service calls for the ice maker freezing up and dripping down the fridge into the crisper drawer and ruining all the food also causing bad smells. The serviceman even showed us the design flaws and how to melt the ice but it was always a temporary fix as it continues to happen. We do not even try to use the ice maker at this point. We always keep a bag of ice in the bottom freezer. We are currently living out of two coolers for our daily essential foods as now the fridge is not getting cold enough and the freezer is not working. This was not a cheap purchase. I cannot believe all the problems and now having to not have use of the fridge at all. We have filed with the class action suit but right now hoping to find out that there was a recall.

Large burner (Samsung Induction Range NE58K9560WS) worked properly about three times then suddenly would turn off after about 3 seconds. First service attempt could not get it to work but if he traded out knob would work so was not prepared and had to return with another knob. Second service call different guy with different problems he could not figure out. Third call, original service guy who still could not get it to work properly so the same people they called for help each time said I had to use a VERY large heavy pot for it to work. I was not there. I heard this through my husband. So supposedly the same pot that didnt work before now does work on that burner and my husband was supposedly EDUCATED about the proper pan size to use for each burner. Interesting as my old induction Kenmore never had a problem, and I could use any size pan on any burner. Well when I got home I tried the large pot on the burner but the scale on the knob was completely off. As I turned the knob it does not start until I get to simmer and it boosts to a 6, then the next notch goes to 9. Then 8, then to 4!!! It is suppose to increase incrementally from 1 to 9! So I call back to tell them the problem and I am supposedly in service call time out, as they clearly dont believe the stove has anything wrong with it. I am very frustrated and really wish I had never purchased this appliance. Did I mention that the service techs rely on YouTube like videos to troubleshoot and repair, and also call their tech support.

Bought a Samsung over-the-range microwave from Sears. It came damaged with some dents. We figured it wasnt a big deal, we had waited months and went through a lost order hassle with Sears just to get the microwave, so we accepted what we got and installed it. Within a week of using the microwave, it started making a loud, screeching noise whenever we used it. We contacted Sears and were routed over to Samsung.Samsung said they cant replace/refund the microwave because you have to report damage within 48 hours of receiving the microwave. Good to know for the future, but I wont be buying from them ever again. This has been an almost 4 month back-and-forth between me, Sears, and Samsung. They are willing to send out a repairman to try and fix the loud sound, but they wont do anything about the exterior damage to the microwave. They gave me a service order number for the repair service and advised I call them to make an appointment so they can see about fixing the noise. I called the repair service and found out... oh, they dont service microwaves anymore. So now I have to call back Samsung and start the process all over again. I will never again buy a Samsung, not a fridge, not a microwave, not a TV or a phone. Never again. Same goes for Sears. At this point Im considering eating the cost of the microwave and throwing it out just so I dont have to deal with them anymore.

Also there is ice buildup on the floor of the freezer. The door won’t close properly because of the buildup and my husband has to defrost it every few months. The noise from the buildup is loud. Purchased the state of the art Samsung French door refrigerator with all the bells and whistles available. The first 6 months, the motherboard had to be replaced. Within the 1st year, the ice machine and freezer unit iced up so bad we could not get the drawers out of the unit without breaking them. Design flaws is all I read about and Samsung has absolutely NO one that will help. I purchased extended 5 year warranty and thought this was a bit expensive, however, it turned out to be the best thing in my deal as they have spent several thousand dollars in repair services that far exceed the cost of the unit. Now, the problems continue as we have to unplug the unit every month to chip out the ice on the freezer unit, defrost to room temp, and then restart the unit to get another 30 days of use out of it. The ice maker started jamming right away. When we called they gave us instructions on how to clear the jam ourself. I have never had a company tell me to fix anything myself. What they told me to do did not fix it. So we called and finally got them to send a service person out. He did not put a new ice maker. He just caulked around the ice bin. Within a day it was jamming again. We called to have a service person come back and fix it. When he came he put a whole new ice maker in. No help! It is still jamming and now it is gathering ice in the chute inside the door and then when the door opens ice flies everywhere.Putting in another ice maker is not going to solve the problems we are having because the blades have too much slack in them and they go behind another blade and they hang up. We called and told them we wanted them to come and get the refrigerator and of course they refused to. The company should not be allowed to sell this kind of junk and then make people keep it. I wish we had known how bad the product was and hope everyone will beware of buying anything Samsung!

I have a 3 year old Samsung refrigerator that went out Labor Day weekend. We had a total loss of food due to this. I contacted Samsung they set us up with one of their contractors on a priority call. With that said it took them 7 days to come over, the repair person said his leak detector for Freon did not work so he came back the next day. No leak was found so they would next step order a new dryer for the unite. That took 8 more days to come in. When the 2ND repair person came with the dry he first re checked for a leak and out it in the sealed system. So the dryer was not even needed. He sent the information via his phone to Samsung that day and told me I would be contacted with in 48 hours. Well I tried to contact Samsung and let them know the 48 hours was up and after 1 and on half hours on hold I finally was able to speak to a person. That gave me a new case number and ask for receipt information to be sent via eFax once again the 48 hour rule goes in. No call back so I take the one hour and forty five minutes to call back. Finally have the correct person on phone that tell me what the first person said was not correct and I needed to email the information to her. I told her we have gone 25 days waiting on them and not having any way to have cold food in out home aside from an ice chest and really was beyond frustrated at the lack of help I was getting, her response was it will take 48 hours to the buy back department to contact me. I ask if I could speak to the them or have a extension number to not have to spend that long on hold and constantly get a wrong area to pick up and was firmly told no! I informed the lady that if this was to be a buy back I would like to just know if it is okay to purchase a new refrigerator and would Samsung send me a check at some point to reimburse me. I was told in not a nice way I could buy anything I want but Samsung would set the terms as to how I would be paid that we must keep the dead unit until further information was sent to us. So here we are with nothing still - there is no excuse for this to happen. We have lost all food, cannot have or store food and really need a company that give a ___p.

I bought the 4-door RF4287HABP. Initially thrilled with it. After about 3 days, my wife noticed her wine (kept indoor) wasnt as cold as in our old dead LG. I tried about 4-5 different thermometers all with nearly identical readings of approx. 40 degrees in lower door. I contacted Samsung and was told as long as temp fits in their 34 - 46 degree range there is no problem? I said that means I should be able to set it between 34 and 40 degrees. No, I was told. I stated milk needs to be at a max 40 degrees and this is what the gallon door storage is alluded to in their advertising. Then I asked for a sup thinking she was new. I was told the same thing and that my 4 thermometers were most likely off (not considering the whole issue started w/ luke warm wine). They said I needed to use a Samsung thermometer to be sure of results. I asked where I could get a Samsung thermometer. She said Samsung doesnt make thermometers? Triple wow! Bought a French door with middle divided door model 3 months ago. It stopped freezing and cooling but digital display indicated temp ok. After discovering food in freezer thawed and no ice, had to discard contents. Samsung sent repair man and he replaced parts and left. It was not fixed. Called back for second visit for repair and did not have needed parts. Came back 3rd time and replaced motherboard on January 20th. 3 weeks later, same problem. Discard food, called Samsung and insisted on replacement and was told technician would come out and deem it unrepairable. I agreed but said will not allow another repair. Tech came out with more parts to fix it. I refused repair, just asked him to determine that the same issue had occurred. That was yesterday. Today on multiple calls with Samsung customer support and was told it would have to be fixed again, refused to replace this obviously defective unit. Model #: RF261BEAEBC/AA (French Door, Freezer on Bottom, NO ice or water dispensers in the door). I have had to call Samsung services and repair four (4) times for my Samsung Refrigerator in the first thirteen (13) months of operation. Every call has been about the ice maker. I escalated this recurring issue to the executive review board (or whatever they call it) stating that I must have a defective refrigerator (or least a defective ice maker). I said they need to address this issue by replacing the whole refrigerator or issue a recall of some parts or something because this is just not acceptable. The response I got back from Samsung is that this is not cause for any special consideration and that normal repair and service should continue. Their response is what really bothers me. I mean I fully understand that if you make thousands of appliances (or cars or whatever), there will be a couple that will be defective. I have no problem with that - just own up to it and resolve the issue for good. I also understand that no matter how much you test sometimes things can be missed. I have had cars recalled for certain issues, you take your car to the dealer, they resolve the issue (no cost to you) and all is good. I mean it is very weird for them to think that four (4) service requests in first thirteen (13) months of operation is not cause for alarm or at least a closer inspection.I actually talked to the last repairman that came out to fix the problem. He said that he sees a lot of repairs on certain models of Samsung Refrigerators that was/is related to frozen water line for the ice makers. So much so that Samsung did a recall and replaced the heating element (or whatever) to keep ice from forming in water line to the ice maker. He said it was a different model than mine and hence no recall for my specific model number.I suspect that this is the issue for me as well, as water is not making it to the ice tray. I could be wrong though and freely admit something else could be the issue. With this type of customer service, it will make me seriously consider any Samsung products in the future. I am not upset so much with an appliance that has issues. Hey, I dont like it and wish otherwise, but the stick-my-head-in-the-sand-and-hope-this-goes-away attitude from Samsung is really bothersome.
