Do not be fooled into buying any Samsung appliance. We bought a French door refrigerator and have had problem after problem. Ice maker doesnt work and thats after spending $600+ in repairs after owning less than 18 months. It makes LOUD noises - continuously! The water runs from the ice maker into the drawer and interior of the refrigerator causing everything you put in it to be wet. Samsung customer service DOES NOT EXIST. If you spend your money on this product you are throwing it away!

When opening the freezer, the handle popped off. Upon inspection, the bracket holding the handle shattering in a number of pieces. The bracket on the other side of the freezer is cracked but did not break. Yes, the French Door Refrigerator is 3+ years old, however the plastic should be able to stand up to many years of year. P.S. The Ice Maker fan has made a noise since the day the warranty expired.

Samsung Refrigerator model #RF217ACPN/XAA - do not let the beauty or bells
Samsung Refrigerator model #RF217ACPN/XAA - do not let the beauty or bells and whistles of ANY Samsung sway you into buying. We bought our Samsung 3 years ago and were thrilled when it was delivered and installed. Sadly those emotions didnt last long. The first sign of trouble was lettuce/salad fixings freezing. Made sure it was not human error (temperature), this problem continued. Next came the ice maker refusing to make ice. After multiple, long-lasting, irritating contacts to the Samsung support tech no fix to my problems occurred. Water, then ice began to accumulate in the crisper drawers. A little in the beginning, then half-full and freezing solid anything in drawer. Repairman contacted for the ice maker. First one stated that there was no way he would attempt to work on a Samsung. Next one sighed and said he would try but that Samsung offers no tech support and parts stay on back order for a very long time. After checking out ice maker, said he could fix it with a $64.00 (wholesale) cost part IF he could locate it. Ice maker part located, repairman returned, so we inquired about water/ice in crisper. Blue light flashing on the top control as you open refrigerator-- uh oh. He took panels off, removed drain tab, unthawed ice, checked top control board, checked main panel, checked all of the fans. Main control panels were not turning the fan. Surmised that the control panel was not functioning. Even though this is not a financially good time for us, we went shopping today to check on a new refrigerator. Three stores and all salesman acknowledged that they understood why we would NOT look at a Samsung. One store told us that the models on the floor were the end of what Samsungs they would be selling because of not being able service them because it is too difficult to get the parts as they are always on back order. Salesman stated that there were a lot of service calls made on this brand. Wish I had known then what I know now about this brand of refrigerator.

Purchased a Samsung washer, dryer and refrigerator approx. 1 month ago. On 9-29 fridge and freezer stopped working while at work, thawed out and spoiled food. Fridge and freezer will not cool. Washer is also now listed as defective due to safety hazard. Frequent phone calls to Samsung has resulted in no resolution to this issue. I am constantly being told I have to wait 24-48 hours to hear from different departments. Today, I was told I have to wait another 24-48 hours to hear from someone in Refunds and Exchanges via telephone. I asked to contact them directly but was told they have no phone number because they are a back office department. I expressed my displeasure and asked for my call to be elevated past Executive Customer Relations and was told thats not possible, they are the highest level of customer service.I then asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I would have to be put on an list and someone would contact me back in 24-48 hours. 2 days to speak to a supervisor? I was informed that if an exchange of the refrigerator is decided on, it would be another 15 days for delivery. This is totally unacceptable. Not only the frequent waiting for 24-48 hours to be contacted by Samsung but I was denied the opportunity to speak to a higher level of customer service. On the day I purchased these major appliances I spent $3000 total and now 2 out of the 3 appliances are defective. I am unhappy with the customer service I have received up to this point. They are not receptive to the issues. The time frame that Samsung is putting me on is unacceptable. It shouldnt take 48 hours to make a decision for a customer that has invested thousands of dollars in Samsung. In the meantime, I have a dead $3000 refrigerator in my kitchen with no resolution and nowhere to turn as far as customer service. This was my BBB complaint. After filing a BBB complaint, I was contacted by a rep from the Office of President. She acknowledged my current problem with the refrigerator. She explained that she will now be handling my case and I can contact her directly. She explained she is still waiting to see the result of my issue from the refunds and exchange office and she will contact me the next day. The next day arrived and I had to call them to find out the results. I was told the request to exchange the fridge was kicked back (declined) because there are no service programs in the area. I am now stuck with a refund.I expressed my concern for this due to the fact that I purchased the fridge on sale, and its listed on Samsungs website for $2999. I paid approx $1800 and will be losing the value of the fridge by receiving a refund. After back and forth explanations, she explained how I would be receiving a call from the refunds and exchange office... in another 24-48 hours. Today is October 6th. She said I would be receiving a call either tomorrow or Monday the 10th of October. The refunds and exchange office has already seen my case several times and even took action on it, why do they need another 48 hours to review it? So we head into the weekend once again with definitive solution. When I hear from them on Monday, how many more phone calls will need to be waited for and how long till I actually see the refund? Once again I was told there is no higher level of CS, shes following procedures and protocols and there is no way she can expedite the call from refunds and exchanges. After expressing my overwhelming dissatisfaction with Samsung, its customer service and its policies and procedures I inquired how does Samsung go about getting the defective fridge from me. She informed that I am responsible for disposal of the fridge and will not be reimbursed for any money spent from doing so.Once again, this is totally unacceptable customer service from a company of this magnitude. There is no difference between what a standard CS rep can accomplish and what rep from the Office of the President can accomplish. I still wish to pursue my complaint and speak to someone higher in this company. Customers should not be treated like this. I will no longer be doing business with Samsung and will advise friends and family of my experience as well.

I also bought a Samsung dishwasher about 2 years ago and I will never buy another Samsung dishwasher again. And I wouldnt buy another Samsung appliance either because of it. The issue I am having is with the lower arm. It keeps popping out from the tube it sits in. Every time I have make sure its in but 9 times out of ten its out when its finished. At first I thought the part had sheared somehow and that is why it was loose. So I bought another arm. $110.00 bucks! The new one popped in and lo & behold it did the same thing. I also have the same issue with the black gunk that builds up at the bottom of the door. I clean it quite often. Its GROSS! If you have a Samsung dishwasher run a paper towel along the inside of the bottom of the door. See what you get!

I bought a refrigerator, range, dishwasher, and microwave; and both the dishwasher and microwave have broken down one month after the warranty expired. To make matters worse, the computer/touch pads make it nearly impossible for anyone other than a Samsung repair specialist to do anything. Even worse, when I contacted Samsung for online help on an error code I was getting on my microwave (SE), I was told to unplug the appliance and plug it back in. Well, in the words of Homer Simpson, duh. Thanks so much Samsung for nothing.

Our Samsung FE-R300SX is 3 years old and we heard a loud pop and saw flames and smoke shooting out the back of the range. The circuit board caught fire. Samsung will not cover any of the expenses. Thankfully we saw it right away and our kitchen did not catch fire. This range should be recalled for safety. My husband and I were headed out the door when we heard the loud pop and saw the flames. We were baking Tater Tots and had the oven timer on. Our son was in his room playing video games and was going to turn off the oven when the timer went off. Our kitchen would have been on fire before he would have noticed a problem. We paid almost $700 for this range on sale and it is only 3 years old. We are very unhappy customers and will never buy anything Samsung again. They didnt even call me back about the problem. They sent an email to say they were sorry it caught fire, but they set me up for an out of warranty repair that I will have to pay for. I called them back and was told that I had no recourse and they would not cover the repair. Even thought there is a 5-year parts warranty, it does not cover the circuit board which caught fire.

I purchased the Samsung dishwasher model #dw80f600its in March 2014 with a one year warranty from Samsung and a 2 year extended warranty from hhgregg. Within the first year Samsung had to come out twice, both times there was a water code error. After that, I had to contact hhgregg for another water code error. They have come out twice for the same problem. Each time the service tech had replaced a sensor on the unit along with a tank on the side of the unit. Now, I still have 3 months left on the 2 year extended warranty. Surprise, I have the same error again. This time hhgregg says that they are no longer responsible for this dishwasher, the cost of repairs had exceeded the retail cost of the unit. I will NEVER purchase another Samsung dishwasher and it certainly will NOT be from hhgregg. What is point of an extended warranty if they wont honor it?

I bought a Samsung dishwasher (DMT800RHS) because I thought it would last for at least nine years (the average dishwasher LASTS 9 YEARS). Its only my husband and I at home... we use it once every 2-3 days. After 2.5 years we start noticing food left on the dishes. A week later, its not even spraying dishes. Turns out its the motor. We spent $150 to find out that it would cost another $450 to fix. DONT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. Im going to buy an LG because at least they warrant their dishwasher motors for 10 years.

Ive had the Samsung refrigerator for 3 years. The first year, it was leaking water and that was repaired. The second year, it stopped cooling and the fans were replaced. The icemaker has not worked most of the time. And this year, it stopped cooling on July 12. They came and replaced the fans and the icemaker. During that repair, they found an internal Freon leak. It took another 2 weeks before that was repaired, but the refrigerator was still not cooling. This time, it was apparently the compressor. They replaced the compressor on Friday, August 30th. I woke up Saturday to a nice cold fridge. I was happy about that! However, Saturday night, the temp was reading 60 degrees in the fridge and 40 degrees in the freezer! Im so over this. I have not had a working refrigerator since July the 12th. It is September 2nd. Were using a mini-fridge and a deep freezer. They told me it has to have the same repair done 3 times and then break again a 4th time before it qualified for replacement under the lemon law. Im very frustrated and will NEVER buy another Samsung product.

Samsung refrigerators are defective garbage. Their customer service is deceptive and completely useless. Samsung hired Alorica, a third party dimwit company that calls themselves the Office of the President. They are paid to make consumers go away, give up and not get services. They are filthy liars. Retailers who knowingly sell these defective refrigerators should be held accountable as well. Samsung needs to recall ALL their refrigerators and refund the consumers.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator RF263AEBP in 7/2010 from PC Richards. The extend warranty I purchased has ended and the rubber sealant on my doors is just peeling off. I called Samsung to let them know that is not common for a 3 year old refrigerator and was told that the manufacture warranty of one year was over. I told them this is a workmanship issue. You would not expect the rubber sealant to be peeling off for no reason on both my french doors and my freezer. I escalated my call to the Executive Relationship Department and was basically told it was my problem and they could schedule me for an out of warranty appointment that I would have to pay for or I could purchase a Samsung Protection Plus warranty plan that would then cover the repair. I am disgusted with the reply from Samsung. A basically new refrigerator not even four years old should not be coming apart like that especially when its not an exposed area. Im writing this review because I suspect that I am not the only one with this issue.

4 door Samsung Refrigerator Samsung RF23J9011 - Bought this fridge in July 2016 brand new from HH Gregg. A year and half later (Dec. 2017) the refrigerator portion of the fridge stopped working. It was 2 weeks before someone could come look at it. Samsung used a company called MetroTech. I had to pay 90.00 for an assessment and wait another 2 weeks for a part. The problem was with the seal which was covered under warranty as a defect. 2 weeks turned into 3 and the part was installed but it did not fix the problem. So Metrotech advised Samsung to replace the unit which they refused until Metrotech put in another part. Another 2 weeks of waiting and Metrotech put in the part. Upon doing so the inside panel of the fridge was damaged. Plus this did not fix the problem. The 4th time Samsung sent Metrotech out, Metrotech advised Samsung to replace the unit. A unit Exchange process was put in. When I called Samsung they told me they needed a certificate of ownership. I do not have this as it was still being paid for however, the account was in my deceased spouses name financed through Synchrony bank. HH Greg went out of business. Synchrony bank will not let me pay for the fridge because they filed a claim against the remaining balance in probate - even though I tried to pay for it. Probate will not end until sometime in May. Samsung will not replace the defective fridge without it showing the fridge is paid for. I do not know what to do? I think this is horrible and will never buy another Samsung product. EVER.

We have had nothing but issues with this refrigerator. Ice buildup on the back of the inside of the refrigerator. It gets so bad it hits the fan and the refrigerator gets warm. Also there is ice buildup on the floor of the freezer. The door won’t close properly because of the buildup and my husband has to defrost it every few months. The noise from the buildup is loud. Samsung RF263 French Door Refrigerator - It is an expensive piece of garbage. The ice maker started frosting up like a freezer from the 50s/60s a little over a year after purchase. The door bins are cracked and held together with duct tape. Now it has stopped cooling completely. After reading and trying to determine the root cause, it is clear that Samsung makes inferior refrigerators, the number of complaints are incredible. Lets not forget about their washing machines blowing up as well. Maybe, as one reviewer state, its time for a class action suit. I m sure consumers initially thought purchasing a Samsung refrigerator would be a good, safe, reliable purchase, evidently a lot of us were totally wrong and subsequently disappointed.

I am not one to write product reviews but am so disappointed with my Samsung refrigerator. We bought our French Door Samsung refrigerator 2 years ago from Home Depot when we built our home. I loved it!!! Then about 3 months ago the refrigerator showed problems with cooling and the lowest temp we could maintain was 44 degrees and often cooled at 46. We had a Samsung certified tech come out and work on the refrigerator and he found coolant leaking. After a call to Samsung, Samsung told the tech the refrigerator could not be fixed. Now we are waiting Samsungs final decision as to what will be done. With Thanksgiving next week looks like I will be out buying a new refrigerator and it will NOT NOT NOT be a Samsung.

I bought the French Door Fridge 18 months ago. I love the look. I love the storage space. Hate the knocking although that has improved a great deal after six months, and after they suggested I switch the Ice button to off - since I dont use it. It still Pops, Snapples and Cracks a bit but that is probably normal for most refrigerators. My main beef is the crisper drawers. Rather than be just one piece, the front of the crisper comes off to enable cleaning in the crack where the pieces join. (If it was only one piece, there would be no cracks to accumulate food bits.) Why they decided to build a crisper that needs to be disassembled and reassembled I cant fathom. Anyway, one needs a screwdriver to pry open the thin plastic latches that keep it together. You guessed it! I broke one side of one of the latches and now I need to use bother hands when I pull it out to make sure I dont break the hinge on the other side. Normally, I would just buy a new drawer. Samsung uses independent companies to sell their parts. The price? $120 CDN!!! I thanked them and went out and bought plastic Glue. And as I write this, I think I will fill the crack with plastic glue too. I wished this had happened two weeks ago before I bought a Samsung Range and Dishwasher.

Within a year both my Samsung oven and refrigerator were becoming useless with regular use, not abuse. I bought these brand new off the factory floor so I expected it to last me many many years! I really think there needs to be a class action lawsuit for this. Not because it is such a huge ticket item, but because Samsung needs to be slapped and told they cant get away with this. How do we do that? Im in if you guys are! As for this microwave, quite frankly, I really dont think I want this hazard in my house. I received a brand new Samsung refrigerator model: RF263AFRS, purchased from Sears in February 2011. Despite appropriate care it failed the summer 2013 (two years!). Neither Sears nor Samsung offered to stand for the quality and the consumers concern for the excessive noise (now clearly audible through the entire two storey house!). The cooling also seems to be an issue. I am in the process of confirming the latter with an internally placed thermometer. I called both the Sears and the Samsung representatives: it appears they are not willing to investigate their failure to provide a quality product expected to perform up to expectation for at least 10 to 15 or more years similar or better than the old fridges we still own. There is something wrong with quality of Sears service and product from Samsung. Consumer be aware.

I purchased this range/oven about 4 months ago. I’ve had several smooth top ranges before and I could always get marks and food off with ceramic stovetop cleaner….But not with this one! I purchased new cookware to start with a clean slate and I’m so careful with the stovetop. I’m really frustrated with trying to keep it “new” like all my previous ones. There are marks all over it and dull places where I cleaned with a scratch proof pad and ceramic stove top cleaner. The mirrored black shows every smear and smudge. I literally have to buff it with a clean towel every time. That being said, one reason I purchased this stove is for the low temp presets on the oven. I make bread and it’s hard to find an oven that will go below 170°. I’ve enjoyed this feature very much. The air fry feature, not so much. It has to be set above 450° to get good results and it takes way too long vs a countertop air fryer. Overall, the range/oven operates fine. I just wish the smooth top was a little better quality and more resistant to marks, residue and smears. None of my previous smooth tops had this issue.

Samsung Microwave Model #SMH2117S, Serial # J65B7WOD602622A - I dont have an Order Number or Receipt because this was a gift. This over the stove model was purchased on 2014, a Mothers Day Gift from my kids to me. I am retired and on a budget so they surprised me with the stove and microwave. I was able to select the items in the store, Conns, and I decided to go with Samsung, believing it would be the best buy. Well, I was wrong. Samsung microwave went dead on me last week, June 2016. I woke up at 5am to crackling sounds looming out in the quiet of the morning. I had heard the sound before but not as loud as this time. I stood around the kitchen dining area where I had followed the sound and waiting to hear it and again I heard the crackle and then it stopped. I was unsure and couldnt pinpoint it, so I went back to bed.The next day I discovered my microwave was dead, all lights off. I could smell a burnt odor as I opened the door. Came to realize that was the crackling sound. I thank God that it didnt start a fire. I contacted Samsung and of course, the microwave is out of warranty and after much of almost begging on my part, they offered to pay for the parts. The service is $80 for trip and diagnosis and $80 for labor, so Im stuck. A brand new microwave and still have to pay out of pocket for a defective appliance that now Im not sure if I can trust to run even after a repair if it can be repaired. What a disappointment. The microwave I had before was almost 18 years old and was still working properly. I just wanted new appliances. I wish Samsung would stand behind their product and make it right. There are too many dissatisfied customers.

We have a Samsung refrigerator purchased in 2006. In July, water started leaking from it. We lodged a complaint at Samsung service center. The mechanic who attended our call called on us and told us that the thermostat was not working and has to be replaced and that it will okay in a weeks time. We waited patiently for ten days and called the service center. We were told that the spare part has not come. Now, it is beyond three months and our refrigerator is standing and crying helplessly. I called the center three days back. No use. I think I will have to bid a goodbye to my refrigerator and purchase a new one. Definitely not a Samsung, my husband says.

In 2011, we bought a Samsung dishwasher and French door refrigerator. The dishwasher had problems from the first month, with basket clips breaking, and jamming the jets. They knew this was a widespread problem, but wouldnt switch out our unit. I left negative feedback on their site, which they removed (it was all factual), and sent me a warning email that they would ban me from commenting again. I switched it for an LG (no problems at all). Now, the fridge isnt working. It started making a loud rattling noise this afternoon, and a quick online search showed me that there is a class action lawsuit against them because the twin cooling system freezes over, and your fridge/freezer no longer cool/freeze. This company is a joke. Dont give them your money. Customer service is the worst, and they dont care if the product fails.

I purchased Samsung fridge two months back and a week after delivery, I noticed a huge ice under the bottom of the drawer and water inside the bottom drawer. I removed the ice and saw the same thing the next day again and every day after that. I called the brick warranty department and they told me to unplug the fridge for 24hrs before a technician comes out to fix the problem. This surprised me as it seems they already know about the problem on fridge and I wonder why they dont fix it before it was sold. I asked them to send me a replacement fridge for the period as the fridge is still on warranty. I have small kids and a day without a fridge is a nightmare. The representative was rude and told me that cant happen and the fridge wont be fixed until I defrost it. Im still trying to solve this issue and I hope there is someone out here who can stop companies like Samsung from taking clients on a rollercoaster once they make a sale. My advice, dont buy Samsung. Period.

I purchased the new Samsung Waterwall dishwasher (Model dw80h9930US) from HH Gregg this past summer. I almost bought a Bosch but the new features of the Samsung seemed to be a better deal. Besides I already owned a Samsung washer, dryer and refrigerator. After about a month, I noticed the door started popping open during the wash cycle. I would push it back in and it would continue to pop open. I contacted HH Gregg and they informed me I had to contact Samsung. I did and they sent out a repairman who re-positioned the dishwasher and said that was the cause. After he left, I began using it again and the same thing started to happen, the door popped open during a wash cycle. I called them back again and they sent out the same technicians who fiddled with the baskets and thought that the top basket was pushing open the door during the cycle. They wanted to order a new basket for me. In the meantime, I was running the dishwasher and continually pushing in the door when it popped out until one evening, the unit beeped and the code LE appeared. This code was for Leakage and the manual instructed me to turn off my breaker to the dishwasher and call Samsung. Now I was not only without a dishwasher but my disposal was connected to that breaker. I called Samsung and demanded a new unit but they insisted on sending out the technicians again. At this point I had it with Samsung and decided to call HH Gregg. I explained to them my dilemma and they have graciously offered to replace my Samsung with a Bosch. I am overwhelmed with gratitude and will never forget the service I got from HH Gregg. They also were aware of the problems with the Samsung and were willing to help their customers get a dishwasher that works. I will never buy another Samsung product again.

We bought a very nice, at least thats what we thought anyway at the time, Samsung Model RF4289HARS French door refrigerator from Home Depot in December of 2011. The ice maker took forever to make ice and it had very little storage. We ran out of ice all of the time and there was only two of us using it. In February of 2014 the ice machine stopped working completely. We had a service man come out and replace the entire front computer portion of the refrigerator that the ice maker was a part of. The cost to replace it was $863.58. Yes, thats right. $863.58 cost to repair an ice maker that was 3 years and 2 months old. Well, guess what. Here it is December of 2017 and the same thing has occurred. No ice maker. Broken again after just 3 years and 9 months after replacing an $863.58 part. Samsung makes a good TV. Their refrigerators are extremely pricing and break down every three years. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator. Buy a good old made in the USA refrigerator that will probably outlive you. Thanks for nothing Samsung.

The top wire shelf is held in place by the slides built in to the plastic side walls. The service tech came with a new shelf which also fell out. He stated that the wall between freezer and refrigerator was concave behind the plastic, pulling the shelf support over, and there was nothing he could do. Samsung Executive Customer Relations held fast to the one year warranty. My claim: this is a manufacturing defect going back to day one (the fridge is a lemon) and Samsung should remedy regardless of the timeline. The rep added that she would initiate a service ticket in spite of that fact that it was concluded this problem was not repairable. If I had this refrigerator for ten years and had this problem Id take my lumps. Customer relations tells me there is no higher appeal. This is not standing behind the product. Consequences: cannot use 1/3 of the freezer space. I have another higher-end Samsung refrigerator and it is great. This is sad for a company of this size and reputation.

About 3 years ago, I bought a 4-door Samsung refrigerator, along with a new gas stove and microwave. The refrigerator started buzzing. Doing some research, I found that this is a fairly common issue. You could see ice starting to form out of the vents of the twin cooler. Repairman came out and replaced the part with a new MODIFIED part. I capitalize the word modified because if there werent any issues with the original part, then why are replacement parts being modified? Talking with Samsung, they refuse to acknowledge that there is a severe design flaw, and essentially leave their customers out to dry by making us pay to fix something because of a design flaw.Fast forward to now (only a few months after the part replacement), and it is BUZZING AGAIN!!! I am livid. Samsung, once again, is useless in assisting their customers. Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT EVER BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!!! Never before has my satisfaction with a company taken such a turn. I had a fabulous experience with a Samsung TV I had bought many years ago and developed a loyalty, which of course now has gone to hell in a hand basket. Shame on Samsung. Very unimpressed.

And ice forms on the back and gets so noisy we cant stay in the same room as the machine. And when the Sears repair people come to fix it all they can say is that they are not very good machines, and they dont make them liked they used to. The junk will be off the warranty soon. I think its criminal that they dont recall the machine. We purchased a Samsung glass cooktop stove. Three months after our purchase the glass top cracked. The crack occurred the second time I used the burner. I noticed the crack the next morning when I went to dust the cooktop. A KitchenAid repair person told us, that this happens occasionally with glass cooktops. Glass can have bubbles, etc... This repair is covered under their warranty. Samsung however considers this physical damage and their warranty does not cover physical damage. Nothing bumped the stove or fell on top of the cooktop. We have had a glass cooktop for twenty years, so it took me a while to understand what this meant.Regardless of what is wrong or if there is a defect in the product that results in physical damage, then it is not warranted. I am amazed that they can get away with this. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product and plan to report this to every consumer protection agency I can reach. This is definitely a buyer beware organization. As another reviewer said, their warranty is useless.

Just called a repairman today to come and repair my refrigerator with the very same issue. Another $250 repair into this product. Purchased this dishwasher in March 2013, within 6 months the heavy light sensor starts flashing, and the dishwasher stopped working. I called Samsung immediately and a technician was scheduled to visit on Oct 22, 2013. The morning of the appointment, I called A&E the company that was scheduled to get a window for repair. I was told Samsung cancelled my appointment, I got back on the phone with Samsung. The customer service department states they never cancelled it, but they could reschedule, wish they did for Oct 28. When this day arrived the dishwasher had reset itself, due to the water leakage had time to dry under the dishwasher. The Tech said there was nothing he could do and DID not even pull the dishwasher out to check for leakage. He stated maybe it is the circuit board, and used that as an excuse, so I wouldnt LOOK crazy! March of 2014 same issues started again. On the phone again with Samsung, they state sorry no warranty left. Really, by 3 days. So after disputing this argument, they scheduled another tech to return with the same original company A & E. When this tech arrived he states a leakage and possible tub issues, sump assembly issue. They could definitely see and feel water, but could not exactly determine where it was coming from. They tech ordered a sump pump and returned to replace that part on March 25,2014. Now here it is July 2014 with the same issues, and Samsung would not send out a technician unless I would agree to pay the service call. I told them this was unacceptable, because this is an ongoing issues since purchase in March 2013.They would not give in. I finally agreed to pay a service call only just to get the repairs done so I could hopefully be free of this nightmare. March 23 2014, the tech arrived and diagnosed the dishwasher and knew immediately that it was a manufacturer defect that caused the actual tub itself to leak and is NOT repairable. A replacement would be recommended (stated on the final paperwork), and he relayed this information to Samsung through the Samsung Tech line. The technician issued me the return authorization number# to start the process. When originally starting the process, I thought I would be getting a replacement, but how convenient the dishwasher has no manufacturer defects, and this model no longer available. So not they put me under the BUY BACK PROGRAM which Is a program where they depreciate the original price you pay by a certain percentage depending on length of time you have had the dishwasher, however the warranty states printed in the owners manual - if any issues is a leakage in stainless steel door or tub it has lifetime warranty!

They should be held somewhat responsible as they sell this product to their customers and have been for years and Im sure knowing full well the problems Samsung has with their fridges. Since purchasing my refrigerator, weve had to replace the shelving on both doors a total of 10 times at a cost of $41.00 per shelf. The plastic around the interior shelf and drawer systems has also broken. I researched the product and found the shelving was determined to be defective. I contacted Samsung to see if they provided alternative replacement shelving to replace the defective shelving. First off I attempted to chat with a Samsung representative, they could not understand English and I was asked to to simplify my words. I then called Samsung and was told they did not have an alternative replacement, they would not provide replacement shelving, they would not discount the cost of the replacement shelving, and basically notify me there was nothing they could or would do. I am a long time Samsung customer, and I will never purchase another Samsung phone, computer, television, or appliance from this corporation. Unfortunately for me, I didnt read reviews prior to making my purchase. We bought a 4-piece appliance group at a Black Friday event at a local retailer. I hadnt had an ice maker working in my previous fridge for 5-6 years on a 21 year old product. So, needless to say, I was tickled to finally have new appliances with a working ice maker! We had the appliances delivered and hooked up around the first of the year. Within a month and a half the ice maker quit working. We put in a service call and waited. Within about week and a half the technician arrived and swapped out the entire ice maker components. Working again! Apparently, the water line didnt line up right within the unit and the overspray of water iced up the unit eventually.About a month later, same thing happened. Put in a service call, complained about our unit being a lemon and needing to be replace. Sorry sir, we have to have at least 2 service calls before we consider replacing a unit. After waiting for almost a month, technician arrives, replaces all the ice unit components again. Working again! And, the technician said Ill be coming back as he was leaving. Hummm.About 3 months later, the unit completely stopped making ice. Once again, Ive called the customer service, complaining about my unit being a lemon needing to be replaced. Here I am two weeks after that call. No ice, no calls within 24-48 hours which is how everything happens at Samsung apparently. My case was given to a validation group, and Id be getting a call from an Executive in 24-48 hours.8 days later, I get a call this morning from an Executive. She wasnt there to soothe my concerns but rather to inform me that my issue had been sent to a review board. And, they would be contacting me in 48-72 hours... Oh crap! Also during this conversation I was informed that my 1-year warranty was NOT a product warranty but rather a SERVICE warranty, and that they will likely be sending a technician out again for another service and there was NO guarantee they would be considering the replacement of my product. Despite raising my blood pressure and me speaking my disapproval, she ups her attitude, and goes rude on me and we get nowhere. Im waiting the determination of the review board.I call up my retailer, and basically get the its not our problem routine. I ask, so, what happens when my warranty runs out? Oh, sir, you can purchase an extended warranty... And there my friends is the scam. Samsungs product is crap. Samsungs customer service is horrendous, unless you like banging your head on the wall and getting nowhere... In 24-48 hours.I should not have to Google up how to unfreeze a Samsung ice maker on a brand new unit! Be careful to read your warranty, its not a replacement warranty, its a service warranty... Service their way to the 1-year expiration, and wash their hand of you. Unless of course, you spend more money and buy an extended warranty. Do yourself a huge favor. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE, product is crap and customer service is horrendous at best.

The absolute worst dishwasher I have ever used. Wish I had never bought it! No matter how the dishes are arranged they never all come clean. At least 1 out 4 are still dirty. I now have to soak all the dishes prior to putting them in. Soaking the dishes does not guarantee that they will come out clean. Additionally you will have to clean the area where the water drains each time you use it to prevent Black Mold from growing. If there is a Samsung product in the next home we purchase we will ask for an appliance credit and tell them to take the crap with them. NEVER BUY THIS DISHWASHER!!

I heard Samsung carried one of the best dishwashers. When I went to make my purchase Labor Day weekend 2015 the Best Buy sales associate agreed. Let me tell you... This is the worst dishwasher I have ever used in my entire life. My former dishwasher was a Whirlpool, 9.5 years old. I needed to replace it because it would no longer fully drain. Sadly it cleans better than this brand new Samsung. I am constantly rewashing a minimum of 6 dishes after it runs for 3 hours. I have changed detergents, rinsed dishes before filling, ran my water until steam was filling the kitchen made sure my garbage disposal was empty and Jet-Dry to the canister. I wish I had my old dishwasher back. Samsung told me to call Best Buy.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator on Nov. 10, 2010. We had to replace the ice bucket in May, 2014. Currently the refrigerator evaporator is inoperable and needs to be replaced. However, Samsung has discontinued this part and they do not offer information where we can purchase a generic part. Why would Samsung discontinue a part on a product that is less than four years old? Now we are going to have to buy a new refrigerator because of Samsungs ineptness. Believe me, it will NOT be a Samsung.

My experience with this Samsung 3 door fridge has been very disappointing. I have never spent over 2000.00 on a fridge for it to cost more than 1000.00 in repairs only 2 years later. It constantly freezes up, ice cube maker doesnt work, the freezer door handle snapped the middle where doors close broke off. I need a new fridge after 2 years and spending over 3000.00.

We have had our Samsung french door bottom freezer with middle drawer model RF28HMEDBSRAA refrigerator for only 2 years. The ice maker has ruined this refrigerator. This will make a 2nd time in replacement. It continues to freeze up and not work until you try to chip away ice and hope it will then continue to work. It makes very little ice at a time and have to wait for more to make. When trying to get in the ice maker to unfreeze is very hard to get into. I do not recommend this refrigerator.

A PCB and display was ordered and then he returned around 10/29/14 to install those parts. Over a week without a working refrigerator in my kitchen!! We have had our Samsung Microwave a little over three years, Model No. SMH9187ST. I noticed it had been getting considerably louder the last six months. It is used by two seniors so it does not get excessive use. The nearest repair service for us was 40 miles from our house. They would come to our home to diagnose the problem for $70. We could take it to their service store, and they would charge us $35 to diagnose problem. We were already quite sure it was the magnetron. The manual said it had a 10 year warranty. When taking down our microwave, we found that it had a broken grill. We had never had it apart so we assumed that is how we received it. The fee to repair our microwave was $175.99 (with the part under warranty). We paid in the $300 range for this microwave. The Samsung salesman did not advise us that we were buying a disposable appliance. A bit concerning for us, as at the time we purchased the microwave, we bought the rest of the kitchen appliances... all Samsung.

Have had to use the heavy cycle to get dished cleaned the entire time we have owned the machine. Last week it started leaking in at the bottom of the door, but now looking at our hardwood floor it appears to have been happening for awhile without us noticing.About 2 months ago I noticed the digital #s were losing characters, so some of the time was not showing or the numbers were cut off, so when you thought it was a 7, it was showing as a 1. I purchased a Samsung Model # ME18H704SFS Over the Counter Microwave April 17, 2017. I was away two months over this past winter, so the microwave was used about a year. It matched my new Samsung $1300.00 oven perfectly. One day last week, it just stopped working. We tried troubleshooting it and then called the company after that. Unfortunately, it was about 14 months since we purchased it and was no longer under warranty. After pleading the employee from Samsung for some help, they said to call a service center. I was told by two of them that they would charge me $100.00 nonrefundable for just coming (which I understand) and then parts and labor. He said if it is the motherboard or any other thing like that, it could cost $200.00 or more to repair with only a 90 day warranty. It breaks my heart but I had to throw it out. It was beautiful but did not work. I will never buy a Samsung product. We went to Consumers and found out it was rated most poorly. I now am in the process of purchasing either a Whirpool or Frigidaire since they got good ratings. We are heartsick about wasting all the money we spent over a year ago for this item. By the way, there was nothing wrong with my Kenmore over the counter microwave oven that was a Kenmore and 20 years old. It was white and we redid our kitchen in all stainless steel appliances. Fortunately, we gave it to someone who is still enjoying it. Please do yourself a favor and dont get sucked in with the Samsung company. They are unreliable appliances and really dont care about you once you buy their product.

I posted a YouTube video I made about how I fixed my Samsung Microwave plagued with the dreaded 5E (SE) error. Like many other people, my Samsung Microwave started giving me an SE error a little after a year after I bought it. When I called Samsung, they told me the warranty was up and suggested I should call an appliance repair company. I followed their advice on this site and tried to repair the microwave myself by cleaning the display pad. The fix took me about 15 minutes and seems to have worked. Two weeks later, and the microwave is still working fine. Keep your fingers crossed. Some other commentators on this site have suggested that Samsung may now fix this error if you mention all the negative comments on this and similar sites. I will give Samsung another call and see if this approach works if the microwave fails again and once again I am plagued with an SE error.

They may make good TVs but their refrigerators leave a lot to be desired. Our unit is a double front door with bottom freezer. The unit was over $2000 and worked good until the warranty went out. The first problem was the panel where the water/ice dispenses. That unit went out and was quite expensive to get repaired. Since then, the ice maker has quit and now the front of the unit is rusting and looks terrible. See the best effort photo. People come into our house and when they go in the kitchen they ask about the Samsung refrigerator. Then they take one look at the rust on the front and quickly change the subject. I will never buy another and feel like I paid too much for an inferior product.

We bought a Samsung stove 5 weeks ago, and purchased the 5 yr extended warranty. We were told this would ensure quick response on appliance issues. It has worked well for 5 weeks. Last week while baking @ 350, we heard something crackling and opened the oven to find the inside door glass had completely spider-cracked and glass fell everywhere the inside of the oven. Since the stove was only 5 weeks old and we had the 5 yr extended warranty, a simple door replacement would solve the issue.15 phone calls (store, 3rd-party service company, Samsung) and several days later we are frustrated. The first roadblock was getting someone to arrange a service call. After sending a copy of the store receipt, there was more delay while the 3rd party service company had Samsung validated the receipt - seriously? Finally they call to dispatch a tech, and was told they are coming to access and take a picture to evaluate the need. I offered to take the picture and email it, and again indicated that replacing the oven door would solve the issue. So today, the 3rd party company called saying Tech was on the way. Tech shows up (no part), takes a picture and notes yes, the door glass is defective and leaves. Its now 8 days and counting with no functioning oven, and no ETA. Ive reached out to the Lowes store Manager (who has been very helpful, but also hamstrung by the same bureaucracy with 3rd party maintenance company & Samsung procedures). While I like the 2 Samsung appliances I own, given this first customer service experience, I would not purchase another Samsung appliance. We all know Appliances will break - but if one cant get a NEW appliance serviced even with the 5 yr extended warranty... Purchase from a different brand that supports good warranty service.

I bought fridge, dishwasher, microwave, range, and a washer/dryer for a new house, did my research and thought I was buying the best available. First, within 1 month, the dishwasher went. I made more calls to Samsung than loads of dishes in the unit. The problems ranged from simply not turning on to the motor completely seizing. Apparently there are plastic pieces that break off the wheels and racks and end up lodged in the motor, therefore seizing the motor. This brand new dishwasher has been completely rebuilt. I had the repairman out to house on that unit >6 times. Second, the microwave keypad went within the first six-months, repaired with no problem, but now it’s broken again, and its the same issue. An over the range microwave that cannot handle the steam that rises from the stove top and shorts out the keyboard. Great design flaw and one would think they would fix it, replace the unit, recall it - nope. Its out of warranty and, they wont fix it and more importantly, the part is no longer available (being made - read lemon) so I cannot even fix it myself. Third, the gas dryer ignition went - fix it myself. Finally, the fourth the fridge, (sigh)... I absolutely loved this fridge, loved, past tense. Two years after purchasing, the Main control panel and 2 sensors went on the unit. TWO YEARS. So I called Samsung, and to be honest, the customer service is less than stellar. I was told that it was no longer under warranty, and they would not fix or even consider fixing it due to its age. I was quite polite and asked if I could speak with managers, blah, blah, blah. I eventually made my way up to executive customer service, who knew, and it was there that I was told that if even if they wanted to, they could not fix my unit because Samsung stopped making the MCP. So there were no parts to fix it. I was so adamant about Samsung making good on this fridge. I went without a fridge for 6 weeks while I dealt with them. I tried to negotiate a refund, or some sort of credit, a replacement unit, to no avail. I believe that they should have offered me a replacement unit due to the fact that the unit could not be repaired. I repeat, the fridge was 2 YEARS old. For goodness sakes, my grandmother had her fridge for 30 years. The way I see it, they stopped making the MCP because of the on-going problems with the unit. Basically it was another lemon. So yeah, so sorry for your luck but thanks for your 2 grand, go buy another fridge... and thats what I did. I will never, NEVER recommend or buy another Samsung product.

Since we purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2002 we have had two different issues with the unit, the first related to a $450.00 electronics card that controlled the temperature. Lost everything in the refrigerator and was compensated by manufacturer for half the loss. The card was covered under warranty. Before the repairman left we were advised to purchase an extended warranty for $500.00 which covered parts and labor for the next 3 years. I declined. About a month ago the ice maker stopped working. After assessment by Samsungs repair service he said the only repair was replacement of the ice maker, of which they had many on the truck. Hmmm? Cost of parts and repair....$450.00. I said no and paid $50.00 for the house call and ordered the $120.00 ice maker from RepairClinic.com and replaced it myself in 10 minutes with the help of a Youtube video. My point... $3,000.00 Samsung refrigerators are designed to fail in two to three years so they can charge you $400.00 for the replacement of a $50.00 part. This is part of their business plan. You will be surprised how much money you can save by purchasing the part from an online parts supplier and getting installation instructions off Youtube.

We have bought Samsung electronics for many years. In 2011 we bought all new kitchen appliances, top of the line Samsung. It is now 5 years later 2016 and we have a dishwasher that needs a new motor, the most expensive part approx $600.00. Now our fridge has leaked from the water dispenser and flooded our kitchen twice. It just starts pouring by itself. Of course this happened while we were not home and then again during the night. We thought the first time may have been a fluke but it was not. The electronics on the door stopped working. The replacement part at $400.00 did not work. We also have a leak inside from one of the vents in the back that leaks down the back and pools under the crispers. The tech at this point is not sure what is wrong with it. He now suspects the motherboard. The leak inside will require the whole inside back of the fridge being replaced. These repairs are going to make it not worth fixing. Of course Samsung says Im sorry there is only a 1 year warranty. They will do NOTHING. The appliances are barely 5 years old. How can they possibly not stand behind their products with problems such as this? We all know appliances last many many years with no problems. The tech we are using used to be a Samsung tech and reported how hard they make it to be a tech. The techs even complain about Samsung. I gave 1 star because you have to put something there but I feel less than zero. We will never buy Samsung appliances again. We also will question any further Samsung electronics. We spend so much money on Samsung from cell phones, tablets, tvs, etc. you would think they would do something to help us out. This is the thanks we get for being loyal customers for many years. We now have to buy a new fridge that will be around $2k if we are lucky. The dishwasher will have to be replaced. We have not had trouble out of the range or microwave yet, we hope we dont! What a way to have to spend your hard earned money. Again, we will never buy Samsung appliances again. Be careful because we have a Kenmore washing machine that is made by Samsung. Kenmore is not Kenmore any more. All you have to do is ask Sears, they will tell you. The appliance brands today are not what they say, you have to ask what company made the appliance. I have a beach property that I have recently bought a dishwasher, range, hot water heater and AC. The company I purchased the different items from say that there are a few manufacturers and then a name goes on the same thing with a few differences. Buyer beware!

I purchased and installed this Samsung SMH9187st Over-the-Range Microwave Oven in May 2010. It operated with no problems until May of 2014 when, after a short period of use, the oven would lose all power - as if the plug had been pulled. Power would restore itself after several minutes, or sometimes several hours. This continued intermittently for a couple of weeks until I had a chance to investigate further.I disassembled the microwave. (Plastic parts in this oven are very thin and cheaply made. Although I was going slowly and carefully, I cracked the top grill in several places when removing it and had to glue it back together.) With the control panel removed, I observed two thermal cut-off switches on the bottom of the unit. One of them had what appeared to be burn marks on the plastic wire insulator. I started the microwave (with the control panel moved to the side but still connected) and noted that shortly after the timer finished and the oven shut down normally, a small spark occurred at the location of the burned insulator, and all power to the oven was lost. Additional sparks were seen at 10 to 30 second intervals until I unplugged the unit. Upon disconnecting the wire where the spark was occurring I noticed that it had been improperly installed. The metal connector at the end of the wire (inside of the plastic insulator) had not been clipped onto the metal lug of the thermal cut-off switch. Instead, it had been wedged between the wire connector and the plastic insulator, resulting in a poor electrical connection, arcing and overheating. I reattached the wire connector to the metal lug of the thermal switch, firmly pushing it into place so it was attached just like the other wire connection on the switch (see attached picture). That seemed to fix the problem. The bad connection must have occurred at the factory since the oven had never been repaired or disassembled since I originally purchased and installed it. After four years the plastic insulator deformed and melted enough so that the already weak electrical connection overheated enough to trip the thermal cut-off.I checked other connectors in the oven and found a couple of others with the same problem, so I fixed those as well. So, here it is two years later and the microwave has stopped working again. I opened it up and quickly saw that yet another wire has completely burned through and is hanging loose. Its going in the trash. I cant risk having this appliance burn down my house.

If you want to buy a dishwasher that will last 3-4 years then buy a Samsung. When ours stopped working it was hard to find a technician to look at it. Finally we did find someone and after 3 weeks of trying to get the right parts he told us to just go and buy a new dishwasher, he couldnt take the crap from Samsung anymore. Think before you buy!

We purchased the Samsung OTS microwave, Model No. SMH1713S around three years ago. Last month, the fan malfunctioned and will turn on when you open the door. Just last week, the microwave stopped working at all. We (unfortunately) have a Samsung washer and dryer, which has been serviced three times and we are about ready to replace it... Its three years old. We also have a Samsung refrigerator that has been serviced once and a glass-top stove, all purchased around the same time and all with issues! I cant believe how much money we have wasted on this company. They may make good TVs but they need to get out of the appliance business!!!
