My husband and I purchased this Samsung clunker in 2011. It is bottom freezer type as I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and could no longer manage bending to reach contents. About four months ago, I noticed that the milk was not cold enough to suit me and thus began our ordeal. I can cut out a lot of detail, as it is so very similar to all the other cases, but it concerns the freezing up of the motor and fan in the back. This does not affect the freezer, in our case. The end result so far, (we have another part and new repair company coming in three days), is, after many repair calls, the thing sounds like a B29, but does nothing. I believe, with all my heart, that nothing will come of the new part, and we will be back in the same mess within a few weeks. The ringerreally was something that happened early on. I found a guy on YouTube who made a video showing how to take off the back and defrost the darn thing with a hair dryer! I dont understand, though I know nothing about how to proceed with this myself, why this problem is not cause for a class action lawsuit. Samsung seems to be getting away with murder.

We purchased a Samsung convection oven in 2013. Weve had numerous issues with it, including easily scratched cooktop surface, uneven heating both in the oven and the burner elements, the convection motor not working consistently, touch pad controls that were difficult to adjust. This year whilst roasting our Thanksgiving turkey, the convection fan was working, however, half way through roasting the turkey, the oven lit up with a blue light and sparks were flying everywhere. I turned off the oven, hauled out the turkey, then switched off the breaker. When faced with the decision of whether to fix or replace the range, we went with replace. I will never trust a Samsung product again, it is not worth the safety of my family.

BUYER BEWARE!!! “Stainless steel” is a hoax!!! RUST bleeding through on doors and drawer after 1 year-- not covered in HD’s Protection Plan!!! I purchased an attractive Samsung fridge on December 29, 2016 at the Conshohocken Home Depot -- HD ref # ** 33- Wide, 18 cu. ft. Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator. It fit perfectly for my kitchen design. Home Depot delivered months later, and I started using the fridge in May of 2017. However, after one year I noticed spots of rust bleeding through on the sides and front of the top two doors, and on the top of the drawer, as well. As recommended, I clean the fridge with mild soap and water. I called HD Customer Service. The “finish” is not covered in the HD Protection Plan. They called Samsung. Samsung won’t do anything because the one-year warranty expired. So, there’s nothing to do except grin and bear it. Well, there’s no grin on my face -- pretty outrageous!

2005 Samsung microwave -SE- on display. Microwave high end that has an auto cook for types of food. I saw the post about the sensor and read others online for only 10 min. Said it was a humidity sensor that was shorted inside microwave, not a panel. My microwave was totally unusable. No buttons worked and unplugging power had no effect. I am fairly good at fixing things. And it said that you had to replace sensor. But after about five min., I remembered what I last cooked. I cooked corn. I bet that sensor is dirty. Inside on the ceiling of the microwave is a small 1/4 inch hole that the sensor fits. I sprayed it with aerosol isopropyl alcohol. Instant! : 0 on display, the -SE- was gone. The sensor was dirty and caused the microwave to lockup. I did not use but can suggest maybe a Q-tip with rubbing alcohol. A spray worked for me. My microwave is working. Thanks for the info on this site. It helped. Lot of work saved.

I am unhappy and very disappointed in our new dishwasher, delivered almost two months ago. I would not recommend this product to anyone! Not one load has come back totally clean! We were told to rinse of dishes and use a bleach based detergent and use a rinse aid. We do that! Residue still appears in glasses, bowls, etc. The rack is awkward and hard to fit dishes in, glasses tend to fall over. Never had this problem before. We were told Samsung was a good product when we were looking at refrigerators, stoves, etc. We bought all appliances to match. What a joke this dishwasher has been. Would like to get a new one! Our old Kenmore worked perfect but it was white, switched to stainless steel. Stainless steel gets dirty fast. Thought it wouldnt bug me to wipe it down. Ugh! What a pain! Wish we would of went with the smudge proof Frigidaire offered.

We purchased our refrig in Sept of 2016 with the extended warranty on the ice maker. The ice maker has now totally frozen up and cannot be used. We do have a tech coming out tomorrow. But after some research I discovered there is a class action lawsuit against Samsung because of the problems I have read from others on this site. According to the lawsuit the problems were discovered in 2015 but Samsung continued to put the inferior ice maker in their refrigerators. Once in a while the food in the freezer has frost on it like the freezer door was not completely shut. My son had the same issue with multiple repair calls and no resolution. For now this will be my last Samsung product to purchase. I even called the company this week. SO BUYER BEWARE.

Like many, didnt read reviews... bought $2000+ fridge in 2014. The ice maker stops working within first year! Repair person said it was the drawer. Fixed for a month or so and then back to ice buildup on the tray which jams the ice maker! We are constantly chipping ice out of the ice maker and de-thawing it with a hair dryer! One thing I am going to check is the 2% back level that the fridge is supposed to be leveled to. A previous post brought this up. From the sounds of the reviews, I am in for many more problems! THIS IS A JUNK PRODUCT, DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG FRIDGES!!!

We purchased the Samsung Electric Range Model NE595R0ABSR Oct. 2014. The convection fan in the oven stopped working. This also causes the oven temp. to drop. Contacted Samsung Consumer Support. I was told the item is out of warranty. They will not provide a part number or allow you to purchase the items to repair the issue. They do have preferred service companies aka sub-contractors. Samsung can not or will not provide an estimate on what the repair may cost. Im in my 40s and remember appliances of my parents and grandparents lasting 20 plus years. Bought a Samsung refrigerator in May from Home Depot. They were on sale and was what we needed to fit the area we had. Four months into it, my wife comes to me saying its not cold, all of the frozen food was thawed and its a mess. After throwing everything out, I called Samsung repair. Talked to someone in India who read from a script. She directed me to some tests I should do first. I did them, didnt work. Called again, more tests. All I want is my fridge fixed. Its under warranty. Whats the problem? Its that they are told not to send anyone and that the consumer should be satisfied spending $1,796.43 for a fridge that worked 4 months. Tomorrow, I am prepared to start the fight. Class action please.

We bought a Samsung refrigerator in Dec. 2014 and had nothing but problems with it. This month we finally gave up and bought a Whirlpool product, trashing the 2 1/2 year old Samsung. The ice maker gave us problems from day one. Trying to release a batch of ice manually we broke the flimsy handle. This was reason enough for Samsung service to decline the warranty obligation. For some time we just would not use the ice maker. Then we had a $300 repair. At the same time we had ongoing problems with water collecting in the vegetable bins. The fix by Samsung service was we will send somebody, meaning another $2-300 repair. This apparently is a very common Samsung problem. We cannot afford more costly service. Our regular appliance service person would not touch Samsung products. We know that Samsung makes good electronics (we happily own several of them) BUT NOT APPLIANCES!!!

I am having a week of nightmare with my Samsung refrigerator. My NEW refrigerator stopped cooling so I call this horrible company Samsung to help me and all they did was give me the number of a technician that could only come to my house and check the problem in 1 week. Finally when the technician came he told me that my NEW refrigerators compressor does not work and needs to be replaced, and the process takes from 3-5 business day. So I called Samsung to ask for help since all my good has spoiled and I need to keep ordering food for the entire family, including our 3 years old child and Samsung said just to keep the receipt. REALLY?! If you even consider to get a Samsung refrigerator just stop it... They will sell you a broken one and will not help with anything you need... REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY.

I own a Samsung Refrigerator model RT33FARZASP/TL, purchased two and half years ago. The refrigerator bears 10 years warranty which is not cooling at all. I lodged a complaint with Samsung customer care, they sent their representative who said gas of the refrigerator has leaked out and I have to pay for the visiting charges and gas filling charges plus parts. When I said, its under warranty, he said warranty is only for compressor. I argued gas remains in the compressor only, and if it has leaked that means the compressor is not good but he didnt accept my argument and insisted to pay the cost of repair. Gas filling will be done by them on 30.04.2017. Earlier I had been using other brands, normally they work 10-15 years flawless.

My elderly mother bought a Samsung refrigerator, microwave and stove and they worked well for at least the first year. Since then, the handles on both the microwave and freezer door of the refrigerator have both broken off (my mother is in her 70s and not very strong) and it has cost her literally hundreds of dollars to have servicemen come and fix them because the warranty was no longer valid. She has spent more money trying to fix them than they were worth when she bought them!!! She is now having trouble with her stove, a stove which offers a divider so that one doesnt have to heat up the entire stove just a small portion of it (given that she is generally only cooking for herself). Well, guess what, the stove blew and the only way to get it to work is to remove the divider (the very reason she bought that stove) and Samsung will do nothing about it. These are products that should last AT LEAST ten years before any problems occur. Worst customer service, worst products. Worst of all, I recommended them to my elderly mother! So infuriated!

I bought a full appliance set from electronic express here in Nashville. I bought refrigerator, range, dishwasher and over the range microwave. I spent about $5,0000.00. The microwave right after working one year it just quit working. I called Samsung they sent a tech and he fixed it. After 3 months the dishwasher never clean right. We started cleaning the dishes before we put them in the dishwasher, but finally it quit working - even the dishwasher detergent was left on the dish. I called Samsung and they said it is over a year and warranty expired. So I am out of luck. So I am planning to buy Whirlpool dishwasher since that was the old one I had which worked for over 9 years without a problem. I replaced it because my wife want a stainless steel set of appliance. I am disappointed at Samsung - such a big company makes a good cell phone and tablet like Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note, make a bad dishwasher. Why do not let them stay away from this business and let Whirlpool do the appliance. I will never buy Samsung appliance at all...

I purchased a Samsung 30 inch 5 burner free standing 5.8-cubic ft free standing self cleaning convection gas range model # NX583G0VBSR from Lowes. The oven temp is off by 50-80 deg. I have had the probe replaced twice and the board replaced once. Every time after the new parts are installed it heats up to the right temp but takes 30 minutes to do so. But then the next time I go to use it, the problem reappears. I am out of warranty but the repairs were initiated while it was under warranty so you must ask for the warranty to be extended, also you must ask for parts and service. (1-800-726-7864) The first question they ask is if I have used the self clean feature, I have not. The tech also asked that question. I asked him if there was a problem with the self cleaning feature and he said there was and that the temp gets to high and destroys the probe, so I guess the self cleaning feature that I bought is no longer an option on my range. I now have another repair tech coming to replace the board and probe again. If this fails I am going to try to get the range replaced. I would not recommend a Samsung product as we have had repairs to our fridge and tablet. I thought these products were high quality but I guess I was wrong.

This Samsung Range model (NE63T8711SG/AA) was purchased in February. Loaded with features as well as the oven compartment having an air fryer and dehydrator. 3 weeks after we purchased the $2000.00 range my wife decided to use the Air Fryer to make wings. The fan in the oven blew grease all over the oven coating the entire enamel surface with grease and the entire house was engulfed in smoke. Took us three days to clean off the caked on grease. Needless to say we will never use the Air Fry feature again. A few days later we tried to make a spaghetti dish. Not wanting to have caked on mess on the bottom we put aluminum in the oven. The oven melted the aluminum and is fused to the enamel surface of the oven. We have tried everything to get it off. Needless to say after calling Samsung, they will not help us with this issue at all. The Range is only 3 months old and the oven has been used a total of three times and they wont help us. Besides this problem we have found that the burner knobs are so touchy that barely bumping them or leaning against the oven slightly will turn the burners on. The burners protrude past the range. Very dangerous! Beware of this oven!

Samsung Dishwashers 5E Drain Code Error Flashing Delicate Light Applies to many models. After much research, this helped me. Dishwasher went through all cycles but stopped after trying to drain flashing delicate light. Check the drain line and sink drain for plugging and kinks. Make sure the drain pump is working and not noisy. If it is check the motor resistance with a meter replace if needed from underneath the unit Part # DD32-00005A.MY problem was the rubber check valve / check vane at the bottom of the unit was twisted Part # DD66-00045A and would allow water back into the dishwasher. Hence all the complaints about dirty dishes. A Philips screwdriver is all you need to disassemble the bottom portion of the pump assembly from INSIDE the dishwasher and replace it. It is located at the very bottom of the sump outlet and you pull it out with needle nose pliers. Check the pump assembly diagrams online.Remove the small cover panel + clean off the white ECS sensor Part # DD82-01118A. If you get an E1 error check the resistance with a meter and replace from underneath. Clean out all the washer nozzles they plug up with food particles and re-assemble. Run a sanitize cycle with vinegar as described on Samsung website. This worked for me but there are other problems that may cause this like a control board or relay. Good luck! We bought the Samsung french door with lower pull out door freezer. We had trouble from the beginning getting it to maintain the correct temperature in the freezer portion of the refrigerator. We purchased the appliance through Home Depot and they sent the approved tech who replaced the digital sensors and panels. Still, the refrigerator did not get down to nor maintain the required temp.We had the repairman out again; they replace more items. We removed the ice maker altogether and no difference ensued. My husband went back to Home Depot yesterday asking that they replace this fairly expensive appliance and we were told that since the warranty had run out that they would not be replacing it. What does this mean? If we had not bought the warranty and just had them out over and over would it have forced a replacement? These digital display and sensor units are just not engineered well! We will not ever buy another and are thinking of looking for older refrigerators at vintage repair places. Apparently the idea is to get us used to expecting **, buying warranties and subsidizing the industry! !

I purchased this range/oven about 4 months ago. I’ve had several smooth top ranges before and I could always get marks and food off with ceramic stovetop cleaner….But not with this one! I purchased new cookware to start with a clean slate and I’m so careful with the stovetop. I’m really frustrated with trying to keep it “new” like all my previous ones. There are marks all over it and dull places where I cleaned with a scratch proof pad and ceramic stove top cleaner. The mirrored black shows every smear and smudge. I literally have to buff it with a clean towel every time. That being said, one reason I purchased this stove is for the low temp presets on the oven. I make bread and it’s hard to find an oven that will go below 170°. I’ve enjoyed this feature very much. The air fry feature, not so much. It has to be set above 450° to get good results and it takes way too long vs a countertop air fryer. Overall, the range/oven operates fine. I just wish the smooth top was a little better quality and more resistant to marks, residue and smears. None of my previous smooth tops had this issue.

They ordered the new motor and installed it, now both circuit boards are fried. Samsung is not willing to stand behind the product and said it isnt their product, was made by someone else, even though their name is on it and passed the buck onto a third party. Said we need to schedule an onsite visit for the unit to be looked at. Samsung informed us this would take 2-3 weeks to be arranged. Considering all the issues we have had since day 1, this is not very acceptable customer service. I would not recommend this or any other Samsung items to people based on this interaction with them!

Called Samsung multiple times and got the runaround from one department to another department never heard back. The ice cubes are so big they get stock in the opening and fails to fall into the cup. Because the temperature fluctuates ice cubes sweat stick together when the temperature drops again now theyre too big to fall through the opening so youre constantly taking the icemaker tray out breaking up the ice. She tells me I cant remove the glass to wash it. If this is the case, I am so sorry I purchased this fridge. I will make sure no one I know buys this from Samsung. The water dispenser is a continual problem with dripping water even when no one is using it. When you put your glass under the spout for crushed or reg. ice, the ice keeps coming and goes on the floor. I guess you can see I am an unsatisfied customer. If you know a way to remove the glass, please let me know, since I cannot afford another refrigerator. Thank you.

We just remolded our house. We had beautiful hardwood floors installed throughout the house including the kitchen. We bought new appliances, a Samsung package including the Refrigerator, Stove, Microwave, and Dishwasher. All of the appliances are junk. The biggest kicker is that our new 6 month old refrigerator flooded our entire house. The hardwood kitchen floors are ruined and the basement is soaked in water. I was told, not to buy Samsung and I did anyway. What a mistake that was. 1000s of dollars of repair to do. Already the stress of the drying machines to suck up the water is maddening. DO NOT EVER BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. YOU WILL REGRET IT. They deserve to be sued!

Aside from plastic being left under all seals when delivered and being very noisy, the bottom of the freezer has to be defrosted every few weeks when a sheet of ice builds up under the drawers. After a few weeks water slides down the ice floe and leaks onto the floor. We have tile and when its wet it becomes very slippery. Weve complained but finally gave up but this morning my husband slipped on the wet tile. This is a design flaw or defect but it is out of warranty. My bad but thought I should add to the complaints on this site. We have been very satisfied with phones, TVs and such but will never buy another Samsung anything unless this problem is remedied.

Read my title and that should give you an idea of how great my Samsung product isn’t. I sadly own a Samsung French door refrigerator. Ive had it for a year and no less than seven problems with it. Giant buzzing noises, Ice forming under drawers so you can’t open them, trays in the doors falling out and smashing to the ground together with all my salad dressings etc ... The writing on the Inside of the fridge wiping off the day I got it... The dividers held in place with sticky tape! The shelves not fitting properly ... It’s the worst made and designed fridge ever. But worst of all you can’t clean under some of the glass ... You just can’t. With much difficulty (Takes two people) you can take the section out but you still can’t clean under the glass. So the only thing you can do is soak your fridge In the bath. It’s seriously appalling. Appalling - and the way Samsung says there’s nothing they can do ... is the stuff of nightmares- It’s insane making. I have green slime under the glass of my fridge- that you can’t clean - It’s a health hazard and Samsung don’t care. They called the problem cosmetic. My health and cleanliness of where I store my food is not cosmetic. As soon as I can get rid of this poorly / cheaply made badly designed fridge I will. Do not buy this product. In fact judging how it’s taken me a Year to get anything done anything- I would never ever buy Samsung again either.

The refrigerator started out pretty good. However the water spout is located inside the fridge and this has posed a major inconvenience along with increasing the humidity in the fridge during the hot humid summer. Had to defrost it three times because the drain hose froze up. First time it froze everything in the back side of the fridge. Ice build up stopped the fan & burned it out. Once thawed out & fan replaced it worked well about 3 months, Drain Has frozen up twice since the fan being replaced. Not recommended.

When we moved we put in all new appliances... The dishwasher has had repair out twice... French door refrigerator once along with the washing machine that doesn’t drain properly, and as a consequence, smells bad and has to constantly be drained from the bottom making a terrible mess because of the way the drainage is set up. Right now my dishwasher is again having a problem and keeps turning itself off. I can find no leak. I will have to spend another $150 for repair to come out again. I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance. They should stick to smartphones. In 53 years of marriage, never had a problem with a KitchenAid or Bosch... Should have stuck with what I know.

We purchased our Samsung dishwasher in late 2014. It needed repair within three months when water was not pumping out of the bottom of the unit. The repairman said that it was a common problem... so common that he usually had several of the replacement parts on his truck. This time he didnt so it took two trips so there was a total of almost two weeks without the machine. Since then the dishwasher has been very noisy and I should probably call the repairman again but I figure something else will go wrong sooner or later. We did purchase a Lowes extended warranty. I find that the machine is hard to load. Perhaps I should have taken one of my plates to the store to try it out. It cleans ok... not remarkable but no major complaints especially if I wash things well before I put them in. I am sorry that I bought this item.

Purchased a Samsung French door black stainless steel refrigerator on Sunday (8/5/2018). From the moment we plugged it in the display flashes an PC ER code. After some searching online found a fix for it that didn’t fix it (shocker) so Monday morning called Samsung to schedule a service, because I really wasn’t trying to load it back and return to store although in hindsight should’ve done that, tech arrived Tuesday and did the same thing I had already done to try and resolve the problem which I explained to the customer service representatives I spoke with when making the service appointment. One would think since the refrigerator model and serial number plus the problem was told to the representatives the tech they send out would come prepared with what would be needed to fix it... sadly not the case. So 2 days after purchase and a service visit I’m stuck waiting an additional 2-3 for the part that should (but not completely sure) fix the issue. I’ll be calling customer service to cancel everything and just load the piece of junk back up and return it and spend a little more for a more reliable brand. I will definitely not be purchasing any other Samsung home appliances. If you like the hassle of purchasing something and not having it work properly by all means spend the money on Samsung appliances and enjoy the stress and hassle of having to go through a service call on a new product.

We remodeled our kitchen and purchased an electric Samsung stove with warming drawer from H.H. Gregg. This oven was $1500 and it was supposed to work as a double oven because it has a metal divider and dual controls for upper and lower ovens or you can remove the divider and use as one large oven. I was so excited to basically have 2 ovens, plus a warmer. It never baked well from the very beginning. I would preheat the oven, but it would never cook at that temperature. It was always 50-75 degrees below what it was set for. It was under warranty so I called Samsung. They wanted ME to troubleshoot and calibrate the oven, which I did following their instructions. Nothing helped. I called Samsung four times and finally got them to arrange for a licensed local tech to come fix the problem. He replaced everything he could find and it still doesnt work. The oven is awful and Samsung customer service is just as awful. They read responses from a card and do not listen to anything you are trying to tell them. I really wish I had read other reviews before I ever bought it. It is still under warranty with H.H. Gregg, so now it is their problem, and mine.

Refrigerator freezer stopped working first and the inside stopped soon afte
Refrigerator freezer stopped working first and the inside stopped soon after. After calling Sears out to repair they diagnosed it as the sealed refrigerator system stopped working. This was covered by Samsungs factory warranty, (covered for 5 years). After contacting Samsung they had 3 techs come out over the course of 3 weeks trying to repair it. They could not and said we would receive a new unit in 48 hours. After no contact in 48 hrs. I called and they had to do the paperwork. After calling several times for updates. They decided to refund our money because they did not have the same unit. It has been over a month since the unit stopped working. We are now waiting for our refund. They say it takes between 7 to 14 days but the Samsung Reps. say thats not true. They wait the full 14 days to refund the money. So if your fridge stops working please check your Warranty that comes with the fridge even if you dont have a store warranty. The warranty information is in your refrigerator manual. The number for Samsung is on the back of the manual or your decal inside of your fridge.

I purchased and installed a Samsung Gas Range (NC58H9950WS) in Spring of 2015. I recently ran (Dec 2017) the oven cleaning feature, and now my display is not working. Ive found many similar reviews stating their displays stopped working after running the cleaning program. The cost to repair this is approximately $1100 to replace both display boards (the range cost me around $2500 new). It would seem that Samsung sold us all a bill of goods by saying this feature is available on their range but in fact using the feature will make other parts of the range break down and require replacement. June of 2014 we purchased a Samsung refrigerator model# RS261MDRS/XAA. As soon as it was delivered and installed we left for vacation for 3 months. When we returned, a corrosive stain was on the water dispenser that cannot be removed. We did not even hook up water supply so it was not caused by water. Contacted Samsung, they sent out a service tech to look at the issue. Samsung concluded it was a COSMETIC ISSUE. As of now after many calls to Samsung they stick to their conclusion. So I have a brand new damaged refrigerator caused by a defect in manufacturing. This substance is like a acid that came from above and ate the plastic insert. There is no way in this world that this issue was caused by the consumer. Where I stand now is if I call service on this issue it would be at my expense. Hands are tied on a cosmetic issue. In late 2011 we bought the SMH1816W microwave to match the fridge purchased on the basis of a top rating from a consumer magazine, and the matching stove, dishwasher, washer and dryer at the same time. Not only was the consumer magazine wrong about the fridge, the microwave, dishwasher and washer all have issues or needed repairs. So far (knock on wood) the dryer and range havent broken. The microwave had to be repaired twice for the same problem which ended up costing $50 more than the price we originally paid for it. The fridge was replaced three times before Samsung finally admitted a manufacturing issue that caused the water line to the icemaker to freeze. A new freezer door was eventually installed with the corrected water line. The dishwasher drain pump failed after two years, and the washer is rusting at the bleach dispenser and detergent/softener holder. Once again Samsung claimed no responsibility. We live in a low humidity area (desert) so its not possible that we caused the problem. Not only has it been costly for repairs, but we wasted close to a hundred hours dealing with Samsung. Their support is abysmal, they make it as difficult as possible to even communicate with them - then all you get are stock answers. Requests to escalate to Executive Customer Relations are ignored, or delayed to the point you can do without your broken appliance and end up paying yourself. Samsung is by far the worst company Ive dealt with in 50 years, and as far as major appliances they have the worst quality of any we have ever purchased.Updated 10/22/2016: Of course, now our washer is listed as one of the models that can blow up during the spin cycle, response from Samsung - wash large loads on delicate only. We are taking bets on whether it falls apart from rusting or spinning first! Microwave - dead again - this time we are replacing it with another brand - Samsung quality is non-existent, support is useless. Bottom line, they have sacrificed quality and support for a quick profit, and will lose millions of customers because of this.

Samsung RF28HMEDBSR French Door Refrigerator - Bought ours Nov. 2014 and bought the exact same one for my mother-in-law about a month later. Our ice-maker started acting up and freezing almost a year to the day after purchasing. Then lo and behold, my mother-in-laws did the exact same thing about a month after ours started (about one year to the day for her too). I did the hairdryer defrosting trick about 5 times in a two month span and had had enough... Too much work for ice, seriously! So then I got the bright idea to shut the ice-making ability off and buy bagged ice from the store and put it in the dispenser bucket. Works fantastic, except when you pay $2300 for a fridge with an ice-maker, one shouldnt have to purchase ice!My mother-in-law has appliance guard from Black Hills and they came out and fixed it a couple months ago, and it froze over again (just received an email from her this morning). I feel terrible because we purchased this for her as a gift and bragged how much we loved it; that was before the problems. If anyone has a fix, please post the link here. Theres been lots of theories, but I dont want to call out a repairman to temporarily fix what I can do with a blow dryer... ugghhh. Why no class-action lawsuit yet? The complaints are endless on their ice-makers, etc.

Samsung FER300SX. Great price, features & beautiful appearance. I had always respected all their other products. Its really nice to look at and that is the only good thing I have to say about it. It is very poorly designed with light and cheap wiring. They have come to repair it four times in 18 months. It will not maintain oven temperature and burns/melts the wiring at both elements. I could hear it sizzling in the back. Fearing a house fire, I bought and installed my own high temperature, 3M, 900 degree wire connectors at both upper and lower elements. This finally eliminated my fire hazard risk. But everything I cook, I have to baby-sit; whether its in the oven or the stove top. I had to buy two oven thermometers to hang from the upper rack to keep the temperature at least close, manually, when doing pizza or meats. But any bread products or pastry type of baking, forget it! You cant manually control the temp that well for touchy baked good items like that. They cant fix it. All the circuit boards have been replaced with no success. At least I made sure myself, that it shouldnt burn the house down now.In my opinion, Samsung should not be in the home appliance business. These products are of poor quality and cheaply constructed. Until now, for decades, I had always been highly respectful of their home entertainment line. Low quality and unsafe [fire hazard]. I have already bought and paid for it so there is no longer any deal to break. Go shopping for another brand and research every model you are considering, tenaciously! Read all reviews, good AND bad and leave no stone unturned.

I would like to share my familys experience in buying Samsung appliances. Let me start by saying that we spent over 9000 dollars on brand new appliances just over a year ago. My wife loved the look of the Samsung black stainless steel so we bought an entire house full of appliances. Refrigerator, range, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. Every single one of them has failed in that year, some on multiple occasions. Our microwave which most appliance repair guys will tell you are pretty universally reliable broke within the first month. The gas range needed repaired on three separate occasions, the dishwasher has been repaired twice and works intermittently now, the dryer squeals like a pig going to slaughter and the refrigerator stopped working while we were on vacation this past May. We have now been without a refrigerator for just shy of two months. It took Samsung over a month to send out a technician to look at it and another two weeks to get parts. After the “repair” the technician informed us that the unit was not repairable and a replacement was needed. Bear in mind we bought the appliances in May of 2017, the refrigerator failed in May of 2018 and now in July after telling us it is not repairable and they are sending a replacement unit. I get an email apologizing for the inconvenience but that they will not replace the unit nor fix the dryer. We had never had new appliances and a year ago we were excited that now we had a houseful of beautiful new shiny appliances. Some of these appliances are nearly top of the line Samsung models and all of them have failed or no longer function. Do yourself and your family a favor and do not purchase Samsung products or at least do not purchase their appliances. I have never made such a large purchase and been as disappointed as I have with Samsung. They have been horrible in every facet from quality to service. Do not make the same mistake we did. Samsung is a horrible company.

After a couple of hours we plugged the fridge back in and the problem was gone for a day or two, then reoccurs. We had a few fridges in our lives and this is the first and last time we will ever buy any Samsung product.

I have been using my Samsung DMS 600TIX dishwasher for 2 years (naturally just out of warranty). It looks beautiful and is stainless steel which gives the impression that it is a quality product. Far from it!! The springs on the doors need replacing on both sides (one snapped with a very loud bang when I opened the door). The catch which keeps the door shut is also broken. Very disappointed and will never buy Samsung again! I spoke to Tafelberg who sold it to me as well as Samsung and neither are the slightest bit interested.

I bought my RSG257AARS side by side refrigerator 4 years ago. Everything was great with it until the compressor stopped working properly and all the coolant leaked. When I called an appliance repair shop they told me that Samsung only lets people who are trained by Samsung repair their fridges. She was very nice and told me where to go to find someone in our service area. Here in the DC/VA/MD area I could initially only find 3 people who would work on my fridge and it took me a week and a half to get an appointment. I lost EVERYTHING in my fridge and freezer. Then, they charged by $300.00 for a visit! Now, less than 90 days later (and the part was only good for 60-day warranty) I am having the SAME problem and now have to call a separate appliance repair place to come fix it, AGAIN! I will NEVER EVER buy another Samsung appliance in my life. The Samsung Customer Service department gives me the runaround. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG Appliance. Even if its the cheapest price and you THINK you are getting a good deal. Go with any other brand and save yourself the headaches.

We bought a Samsung RS275 side by side refrigerator in March 2010. From the start, the ice maker was completely inadequate and could not keep up with a family of four. In July 2011 water started accumulating in the bottom of the refrigerator and freezing the lower vegetable bin. We found that the defroster drain hole was freezing closed with ice, thereby not allowing the defroster to drain properly, hence it ended up on the floor of the refrigerator. I managed to extend a piece of copper wire into the hole (it was heated from the defroster heating coil) and that solved the problem for a couple of years. Keeping the hole open. The problem reappeared in the Spring of 2014 and weve been trying to fix it ever since. Also, the water dispenser line continues to freeze. I will never buy another Samsung refrigerator.

I have never written a review before - I dont usually care that much and I dont usually have time. I have spent an hour trying to reach a rep on the phone to schedule a repair. This is my second Samsung fridge, in 5 years and its broken now just like the last one after 2.5 years. No appliance repair shop wants to come look at it. They all say they arent built well. How the hell can a company keep selling appliances that are poorly designed and break? What a joke.

Home Depot said that they have the worst appliances. I have the stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. I wish that I would have done more research. We purchased a Samsung black stainless steel French door refrigerator 6 months ago. We love the fridge but it was time to change the water filter (water and ice in the door). I just found out I have to SHUT OFF THE WATER SUPPLY TO CHANGE THE FILTER--- MAJOR DESIGN FLAW. I either have to pull the fridge out from the wall (big fridge -- hard to do) or shut the main water valve off at the street. Thats just wrong... What a pain just to change the water filter every 6 months.

I have a one year old Samsung dishwasher and was just told it would cost me $600 to repair it. Of course the warranty just expired...I bought it from Home Depot last year and within 2 weeks was having a problem with it, wouldnt drain, didnt clean well, smart auto error, technician came out to repair and not surprising this wasnt the first time he saw this issue. I wanted to replace it, but of course Samsung wouldnt do that and had to settle for the repair. It is next to impossible to talk to anyone who knows anything at Samsung. ZERO customer service satisfaction! Technician told me to call Samsung and see if they will pay for parts and I would just pay for the labor...I would rather have all my fingernails ripped off than to make this phone call as we all know how this will end! I am so frustrated and angry with Samsung. How do they get away with this??? I would like to take my complaint further, any suggestions? Maybe the BBB? Has anyone attempted this.

Where do we start. We purchased all new appliances for our home within the last 6 months. Within the first couple months a tech came to look at ice maker as wasnt working. Then we went away for Easter long weekend came home open fridge and it was filled with water and water dripping out. I opened the freezer at the bottom and all meat fish etc were all defrosted (frozen bananas were mush). Everything went straight into the garbage including items such as mayonnaise, etc with all the thawed out items also. What a waste of money. We called the brick were we purchased and they were sending a tech. They said wouldnt be for about 2 days but then they were able to schedule on next morning. (Tuesday). I called Samsung also Tuesday morning, advised of what has happened as was told they do not have a replacement policy, only a repair policy. I advised fridge now smells and a Eileen advised not their problem!!! And no one will come in and clean it. She was very rude. Asked to speak to someone higher and was advised she is the highest I could go. Head office does not take calls. Advised has kids and needs a fridge asap. Again she said I would have to wait. Very rude again as I am a paying customer and when large expensive items are purchased they should last longer than 6 months. When tech came he advised the compressor has gone. Part would need to be ordered and it looks like possibly next week before they can fix it. Unacceptable!!! Called Samsung again today. Again received very rude customer service and advised to bad. The fridge will not replaced and I will have to wait for someone to come repair it whenever they are available. No idea when. So I have a new broken down fridge and living out of a cooler with 3 kids trying to keep everything cold. What a joke... and also out over 300 in what was good food. I was passed around to 4 different people at Samsung customer service this morning. When you buy a product there should be a policy when it breaks down. Why should I be inconvenient and have to not have a working fridge. Think twice with Samsung. I have done recent searching and was surprised of previous lawsuits against them with fridges and other appliances. People will continue to purchase these items. They get your money then you are not a customer anymore. You are a number.

Refrigerator was leaking sheets of ice under freezer for months. Samsung kept having us try different things to resolve the problem. I was trying to cooperate but Samsung should have replaced the refrigerator. I was repeatedly pulling out sheets of ice. 2 months after the one-yr warranty expired, we woke up to a flood thru our kitchen wall behind the refrigerator to our dining room. $1200.00 in damages we had to pay. Samsung promised they would honor the warranty because it was a continuing problem. After poor customer service, disorganization, and six months of grief, they then said no they would not even cover $400.00 of the damage. We will never buy another Samsung appliance. Very sad. I have called their Customer Service and get the same lame excuse: You are out of warranty. Well I wouldnt be out of warranty if it hadnt been fixed by Sears under the service contract the first time. I have spent over $700.00 on a $1600.00 refrigerator in the first for years of ownership. The story begins less than four years ago. We purchased an entire suite of Samsung kitchen appliances – range, refrigerator, dishwasher and over the range microwave. Since installation (less than 4 years ago) the range began turning on (by itself), a clearly dangerous situation. We found online that this has happened before with terrible consequences. We replaced this range with a Frigidaire range. So far, no issues. Now the dishwasher is not drying. I went through the manual and completed all recommended options to resolve this issue. I am now shopping for a new dishwasher, as nothing I have done seems to make the dishes dry. The refrigerators ice maker has always been an issue in that it does make ice but very inconsistently. The cubes are malformed and at times, it simply stops only to start again whenever it feels like it. I can say that the microwave has, so far, not given us any issues. I would like to warn anyone considering the purchase of any Samsung kitchen appliances to do your online research. I believe that if I had done so prior to investing thousands of dollars with Samsung appliance, I would have thought better.

Purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator with the ice maker located in the food compartment, not the freezer section (in 2015/2014 mfg date). Should have suspected the design, but purchased it anyway. The in-door dispenser pushes a slushy watery mix for the initial action. Then I get soft ice cubes for the rest of the fill. Every two weeks or so, I have to remove the Ice Maker tray unit and chip the ice accumulation on the roof of the ice maker because the ice is clogged with an ice dam and will not make ice cubes. First guess is too much moisture in the ice maker unit. QUESTION: Is there any way to get the ice maker unit colder so the ice wont melt, causing these issues?

Firstly, I wish I had read these Samsung stove reviews prior to my purchase. :( This stove got 4.5 stars on PC Richards site which is one of the reasons that I bought it. I purchased the Samsung NX58M6650W Gas Range in November of 2017. I purchased this stove solely for the price and way it looked as I am not a person that cooks a lot and barely do I use an oven. I was upgrading my kitchen and looking for a stainless steel stove to replace my old one. Its a very nice looking stove but obviously looks can be deceiving. After my 4th time using the oven, which was all day on Thanksgiving Day 2018, I noticed that the control panel was warped almost looking like it had melted. I called Samsung for repair and they gave me a courtesy extension my warranty (2 weeks out of warranty) and offered a free repair. In my eyes a barely used stove should not have any issues in just over 12 mos, but thats just me. I had my rinky Hotpoint Stove for 17 years and not ONE need for repair. Anyway the repairman came and fixed the stove. He replaced the old control panel which means removing around 20 screws un-wiring/detaching and re-wiring a new control panel. Also needs to be mentioned, the control panel on the stove is made of plastic! Now that can be a problem if your stove gets hot. Repair seemed successful but two days later, the timer isnt working. For reference, the timer is in the same place on the panel that warped after using the oven for several hours. Needless to say I am furious. Samsung insists on sending out another repairman, but I want this stove replaced (not with a Samsung if thats possible). If you read the reviews, you have no doubt that this stove is problematic in its design. I watched the repair, and with all the fine wiring on a plastic panel, how will there not be problems? Samsung has been giving me somewhat of a runaround and does not seem to stand behind their product. Im sure problems will continue to occur based on all of the reviews and research Ive done. I have been on the phone with them 5 times. I have another appointment for repair since they say that this is the best that they can do since I am now out of warranty. Im with the other reviewer that says Class Action. I will try to update this review after my next repair visit, but in the interim, this stove is sorely disappointing. Stay away from this stove.

I am not sure if I got a lemon or if this is a widespread problem, but we bought the Samsung Fridge (model RF4287HARS/XAA) in November 2011. The middle shelf on the left door, as you face the open fridge, which is adjacent to the ice maker, cracked after a few months. The crack was minor but spread over time. We barely used the shelf and could not figure out how it happened. We ordered a replacement shelf (under warranty) in Sept. 2012. It had been a problem for months, but that is when we got around to it. The problem recurred very soon after getting the replacement shelf.Again, it was small to start, and we did not notice it for a while. As we were busy with kids and the holidays, we did not contact Samsung until 2013. The warranty was up, but Samsung agreed that the shelf should not have formed a crack and sent us a second replacement in early June 2013. We put in the replacement shelf, and this time, we did not even put anything on the shelf, and it cracked again... the third time, within a few days. Each time, the crack has started where the shelf touches the door at the ice maker. At this point, it is clear that the crack is being created by the ice maker. Samsung is sending a third replacement shelf but will not acknowledge that there is actually a problem with the fridge that is causing the shelf to crack. I am not certain if it is a unique defect with our fridge or more widespread. I started typing this as I approached one hour of time on hold for their customer service supervisor. I had asked to escalate things to the Executive Customer Relations team but was told that no one could take the call, or a message due to high demand. I finally abandoned my call after this long hold time.

I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in September of 2009. Since then, I have found puddles of water below the vegetable drawer large enough to soak up with a large bath towel. The temperature sensor went 6 months later so it became warm inside the fridge, and my food rotted. The defrost sensor also went at the same time so a huge chunk of ice formed on the back panel clogging everything. I had to pay $298 out of my own pocket to fix these issues on a new fridge and guess what, it still leaks water all over my beautiful hardwood floors! The worst part is the customer service at Samsung. I was on hold endless times forever. I was promised a call back from a supervisor within 48 hours which never happened. When I called back after 3 days and demanded to speak with a supervisor, after reporting Samsung to the BBB, I was told that I can continue to fix the refrigerator at my own expense because it is out of warranty! The man on the phone was very short with me and rude and dismissive because the fridge was 3 years old! As if a three year old appliance has a right to be breaking down constantly! I asked for a refund of the $1,400 I paid or for a new refrigerator, and he all but laughed at me. I will never buy another Samsung product again!

I purchased an entire suite of gorgeous Samsung stainless steel appliances for a hefty sum of money. The Samsung dishwasher NEVER cleaned the dishes. In fact, the dishes came out dirtier than when they went in. After 5 years of having to hand-wash EVERY glass that came out of there, I purchased Bosch dishwasher. What a difference!! Every dish that I unload is now sparkling clean, literally. As for the rest of my Samsung appliances... The over-the-range microwave touch screen panel went out after only 5 months (covered by warranty). The touchscreen panel went out again after another year, which Samsung refused to warranty it. To repair it would have cost more than to replace it. I replaced it with a different brand. Oh, and the authorized Samsung repairman said to NEVER put a pot of boiling water beneath the touch screen panel. Really? Its an over the range mounted microwave. As for the Samsung range, one burner on the electric, smooth top range completely stopped working after 2 years. I had to have that repaired for a few hundred dollars. As for the Samsung refrigerator, the icemaker went out after only 7 months. They only warranty the icemaker for 5-6 months. That cost me $400 to replace. It went out again 3 years later, and again had to replace it. The freezer door also had to have the hinges replaced after 3 years. So now, I have an entire kitchen of mismatched brands of appliances. STAY AWAY FROM ALL SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. YOU WILL SPEND A FORTUNE REPAIRING THEM.

I spent nearly $6,000 on new refrigerator, range, dishwasher and microwave less than one year ago and also bought the extended warranty. The first dishwasher they delivered did not work at all and they had to bring a new one. The stainless steel refrigerator was replaced twice after several service attempts to fix ice maker that makes only crushed ice. The unit still only makes crushed ice because it is a design flaw and with every glass of cubed ice you get about 30% of crushed ice. I bought the biggest and best unit on the market.. and we are very disappointed.. The wording ice and water rubbed off within the first couple months and was unreadable. Today, I had problems with the microwave. The numbers are beginning to wear off the front panel. When I called Samsung service they indicate that is a cosmetic issue and not covered by the warranty. I would never ever consider buying Samsung appliances for my kitchen.
