Bought a Samsung french door refrigerator from Home Depot in Sept 2014, model RF263BEAESR. Ice maker promptly froze over and ice making stopped. Customer service told us to turn off the ice maker, let it defrost and it would start working. This was true but then it froze over again, and again. In Jan 2015, Samsung authorized repair service, Charika Appliance Repair of Inverness, FL came out to install a new ice maker unit. They punctured the sealed coolant system and the refrigerator stopped working!! Samsung offered to exchange the broken refrigerator with the same model or a refund. On Jan 10, 2015, I emailed Samsung the Home Depot invoice and register receipt, and on Jan 11th a list of spoiled food. We were told that a refund was in process and we would be contacted within 24-48 hours by the refund department. Today, Jan 20th, I called for a refund status and they had not started it yet. They DO NOT refund the $105 sales tax we paid, even though the Home Depot receipt says FULL REFUND. They also DO NOT refund over $250 for spoiled food. BEWARE OF SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS!!! They are a piece of GARBAGE. Their customer service department is terrible.

I have owned this refrigerator for over 3 years and in that short time had the ice machine completely freeze, the refrigerator stop working and then and the compressor malfunction. I fixed the ice machine by following manufacturer instructions and defrosted completely and it worked. When the refrigerator stopped, I called Samsung and they provided a set of instructions to reboot the refrigerator and it worked for about 10 days and then it stopped chilling appropriately. After calling Samsung again, they sent two different technicians who both said the compressor was broken. After a lot of calls and hassle over the course of 5 weeks, I still dont have it fixed or replaced. They are estimating an additional 2-3 weeks for the replacement under warranty. The service has been opaque, slow, unreliable (never call when they say they will) and overall horrible. I do not recommend buying a Samsung appliance and I never will again.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2016. I have since had to manually defrost the coil and fan three times and as I am writing this, the fan is running noisily and tomorrow I will have to pull off the back panel behind the shelves and defrost it yet again with a hairdryer because this build up keeps the refrigerator from cooling. I am a disabled man living mostly on a fixed income. The refrigerator cost roughly $3000 which took me a year to pay off. I called customer service and the rep told me that he could do nothing about it. I asked to speak to his supervisor to see what recourse I had if any and was met with extreme hostility. He outright refused to resolve my issue or offer anything helpful. Samsung needs to teach its people what professional customer service looks like. I did not appreciate the condescending tone of their customer support agents. I also work for the largest home goods and building material retailer in the United States and have actively informed customers not to purchase any Samsung appliance until they improve the quality of their product and customer support. I would suggest that others provide the same service to family and friends who need to spend their hard earned money on a new appliance. Recently, we needed a new dishwasher and purchased a GE which my wife and I are very pleased with. Presently, we will never buy any Samsung product whether it be a household appliance, phone, tablet, TV or anything else. After the “convenient” freezer door handle, being only supported through plastic, broke off for the second time and after having manually defrosted the fan, coil, and heating element for the third time in two weeks, I bit the bullet and bought a new fridge. It seems you have to purchase the entire freezer drawer to fix one plastic piece. By the way, the Whirlpool I purchased has performed great with all the features of the Samsung for about 40% less cost. I have just finished writing a rather lengthy letter to the consumer protection agency documenting the numerous issues and failed CS conversations. I advise anyone thinking of doing the same be sure to document all calls (i.e. date, time, rep name, etc.). Take pictures with your phone of all visible issues including the rust spots your stainless probably has because of its apparent poor quality. I am hopeful someone may read this who can help...

I purchased this fridge because it was the best looking fridge on display at Lowes. I know now dont buy something based on looks. We had problems before we ever got it on. The ice maker didnt work on it as soon as we got it moved in. It was still under warranty then so they sent out a repair man to install a whole new freeze door because the ice maker is in the door. Even the repair man said they have more calls on Samsung than any other fridge. FYI, he said that Whirlpool is the best one to buy. We bought the whole kitchen set; hopefully, the rest last a little longer than the fridge. Needless to say, I will never buy Samsung again. Horrible product.

This is ongoing problem since more than one month. I called Trail Appliances technician. First visit the technician said “problem with your filter” – totally wrong diagnosis. Second time the technician came he tried for 1 hr – no clue and he said will come again. Third time he came and he thinks it might be control panel (but he is not sure). When I talk to manager he said max the part cost will be $250 and they ordered the part even without my concern. Now parts came to their branch and was waiting for their call. When no call came I called them and they said we called on May 20/2016. No one has replied. Was just wrong. Now the part value is $500. Almost doubles. The customer service is very unprofessional from Trail Appliances. I feel like they are looting. With this problem there was a flooding on my floor and the wooden floor get damaged. Ceiling in basement also get damaged and estimated expense of $15000 for this faulty Samsung French door refrigerator and the technician they dont have a clue whats wrong. Talk to Samsung but they are also not cooperative and the worst service I have received from Samsung and Trail Appliances. Not sure what to do next. Any comments from these affairs guys?

After 8 months, Samsung french door fridge model # RF197ACRS started making a loud noise. It defrosted the freezer twice on its own - the fridge part was warm. For some reason froze up again and started working. Now there is a continuous build up of water leaking on the bottom of fridge below the crisper drawers. From the reviews Ive read, this is a regular problem with these fridges. Thats what I get for buying made in China crap from an un-reputable company. We lose our manufacturing jobs and keep them employed by having to constantly buy products that are built for obsolescence. We keep spending and getting poorer so they stay employed and richer. We should have paid more attention to the political puppets who brought in free trade for the worlds controlling monopolistic few.

Bought a Samsung over-the-range microwave from Sears. It came damaged with some dents. We figured it wasnt a big deal, we had waited months and went through a lost order hassle with Sears just to get the microwave, so we accepted what we got and installed it. Within a week of using the microwave, it started making a loud, screeching noise whenever we used it. We contacted Sears and were routed over to Samsung.Samsung said they cant replace/refund the microwave because you have to report damage within 48 hours of receiving the microwave. Good to know for the future, but I wont be buying from them ever again. This has been an almost 4 month back-and-forth between me, Sears, and Samsung. They are willing to send out a repairman to try and fix the loud sound, but they wont do anything about the exterior damage to the microwave. They gave me a service order number for the repair service and advised I call them to make an appointment so they can see about fixing the noise. I called the repair service and found out... oh, they dont service microwaves anymore. So now I have to call back Samsung and start the process all over again. I will never again buy a Samsung, not a fridge, not a microwave, not a TV or a phone. Never again. Same goes for Sears. At this point Im considering eating the cost of the microwave and throwing it out just so I dont have to deal with them anymore.

I purchased a 4 door Samsung refrigerator 18 months ago 01-21-17. The icemaker is defective, per the technician that indicates this is a known issue and not a recall, but basically the water spatters as it fills the ice maker, causing frost to build up, and eventually freezing the fan. This leads to melting of the ice and re-freezing and more frost and eventually locks up the entire ice maker. In some cases the ice builds up so quickly that you cant get the ice drawer out. This is not a gasket or seal issue. The issue is caused by a poorly designed water filling process that eventually fails, so if you want to piss away $2800 buy this RF23J9011SR piece of junk.

Samsung dishwasher DW80J3020 poor performance. Why cant these companies just make dishwashers that work? Why do they try re-inventing something already done? Now we have DWs that claim to SANITIZE but leaves dishes wet and spotty. AND it takes hours of electricity to produce lousy results. To top it all off manufacturers dont care. When can we get something that works, made in the USA? Oxymoron? Top dollar for a stainless steel unit that s noisy and does a poor job. It doesnt even have a lower heating element, so how can it SANITIZE? Fool me once. No more SAMSUNG and Im telling it to all I meet.

I get different reasons why it doesnt work correctly. Last outsider tech rep stated it was the smart app in the refrigerator has a problem. Samsung does not live up to its advertising or product warranty. Would not recommend Samsung to my worst enemy. In the advertising it states Stream music and videos, and watch your Samsung TV directly on your Family Hub... Also bought a new Samsung TV and they are not compatible. So states some Samsung reps. Others say that it should work. Spent a lot of money on garbage, in my opinion.

Samsung top freezer RT21M62135R, nominally 21 cubic feet, is fairly capacious. Unfortunately the lighting in the refrigerator section is front mounted and everything in the rear disappears into the shadows - keep a flashlight handy. The freezer also has a light, something my prior refrigerator did not have. I really like the slide and reach shelf for deli type items - very convenient. The door storage is a bit inflexible. I ordered the model without an ice maker, they shipped it to me anyway despite my attempt to stop it, which they ignored (customer service in the US is impossible to contact - they switched me to Indonesia (sic)! (Consider that I bought this model for energy efficiency, then they ship something I do not want - pure waste.) Even though they took the door off, the delivery service still managed to put eight dents in the door - too easy to dent.

I cant imagine anyone that actually uses a dishwasher designing this one! The racks are awful. The top one will not hold wine glasses or any with a stem without falling over. The bottom wont hold more than 2 bowls, without giving up space for plates. And no way can I put pans in the bottom. They just wont fit. All of those have to be on the top with all of the glasses and cups. No room for both! I have had a bunch of dishwashers, starting in the 60s. Never have I had one that is so poorly designed. From the complaints I have read I guess Im lucky it still works! I am so disappointed but I guess Im stuck with it. To be fair we did buy our second Samsung French door fridge and love it. Got to be two different designers!

I bought a Samsung Refrigerator model RFG298HD from Lowes (French Doors) around $3,000.00. We had our first flood from the ice maker at 3:00 in the morning (How much fun is that?). To have a company come out and dry me out, it took them a few days to get someone out for the repair. It was like pulling a teeth to get reimbursed (with pictures). They replaced my ice maker. It was shot and less than one year and 4 months later, on 9/7/12 it flooded my house again. We called and they claimed that someone will call us, but still no luck until 9/11/12 at 10:30 at night. I guess they want to replace my floor and fridge. If anyone is looking to start up a class action, count me in. The customer service sucks!

Unless you enjoy taking your fridge apart for a couple days on a routine basis to remove a back inner panel, defrost the inner workings, and then it all back together again, I do not recommend this product. Weve taken it apart at least six times in the last three years. It is poorly designed. There is a clip that is supposed to help keep an evaporator drain defrosted, but it is too short. The drain freezes up, the ice backs up, goes all throughout the cooling coils, up into the wires and fan--all frozen into one solid block. I finally found a replacement clip that is longer. It is supposed to be here tomorrow--until then I have the fridge. This problem is well documented throughout the internet and this should be fixed by warranty. Its ridiculous and has soured me on Samsung entirely.

We purchased a Samsung dishwasher in March of 2014. It is now Sept 2015 and the dishwasher has broken down 6 times (7 counting the fact that it is currently not working). Weve been in contact with Samsung multiple times. Was told to fax all receipts of repairs and orig receipt of purchase. We did that only to be told there was nothing they could do. We definitely bought a lemon. We have found that PA has a lemon law and we are checking into that avenue. We feel that Samsung company should have replaced this appliance, but they kept saying it had to break down with the same issue 3 times in a certain period of time before they would replace. The issues were sometimes different. We would never purchase another Samsung dishwasher - or any Samsung product.

I purchased a Black Samsung bottom freezer RB215ACBP and last year noticed the loud noise and the water in the veggie drawers as well. I also noticed the freezing under the drawers if it’s not frozen, it’s a ton of water. I called last year and customer service SUCKS!!! They were no help and told me to have someone come out and told me the motor was still under warranty. BUT if it’s not the motor, I would have to pay for the service call. Are you kidding me!? I was very displeased and to see all the complaints, I am very dissatisfied. And you would think Samsung would do something about this knowing there are so many complaints. I am not happy at all about this and if there is a class action suit, I am willing to get on the bandwagon because this is a 3-year-old fridge, and now this year (summer) seems to do it the most. And the noise is back, very loud like the motor is going bad, and the leaking water is back as well. And I should NOT have to defrost my 3-year fridge. Umm, don’t think so. I paid good money for this appliance and it’s doing these things. Umm, not good... Thank goodness for sites like these. Thank you.

We purchased a stainless steel Samsung Refrigerator Model No. RF217** in December of 2010. Today was the fourth time weve had to have it repaired for the same problem: standing water in the produce drawers with water and ice below them. The repair in 2013 required replacing a part which took several days to come in and, including labor, cost us a couple of hundred dollars to have done. The other three repairs cost about $100 each. This was an expensive refrigerator and it just galls me that Samsung wont stand behind their product! The first failure happened exactly two days after the one-year warranty expired so Samsung would do nothing. We didnt buy an extended warranty because we generally dont believe in them - big mistake - with Samsung believe in them! Not only is this all very expensive, but having to completely empty the contents of the fridge and freezer 24 hours before the service call so it can defrost is a royal pain in the petoot! What does it take to get a class action suit against Samsung? We bought a Samsung stainless steel dishwasher the same day we bought the refrigerator. I dont like it either. It never completely dries the dishes. We will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance!

We replaced all our kitchen appliances two years ago with high end Samsung stainless appliances. We researched various brands and based our decision on JD Powers, but also considered LG since both were rated highly. We also purchased with Lowes as they had high ratings. Unfortunately, we have had so many problems with the Samsung appliances, and the salesperson incorrectly sold us a 2-unit extended warranty instead of a 4-unit warranty. We have seen many more issues than what we experienced with our basic 10-year old white Whirlpool appliances that we replaced that were original to the house but otherwise functioned correctly. We purchased extended warranties and have contacted Samsung many times, and the issues do not get resolved. Often, the local repair company will argue that there is nothing they can do. Convection microwave: dead panel/completely inoperable. Dishwasher: multiple errors on control panel during cycles, does not clean, adjustable drawer holders have broken 8 times due to cracking with heat and we have to replace at our expense. Gas oven/range: will not cook foods correctly. Be sure you buy gas range with electric oven. Gas oven does not regulate correctly and always takes much longer than recipe calls for. Refrigerator: dual icemaker takes up nearly all the storage of going with larger unit; but otherwise, this has been the only Samsung appliance that has performed without failing during the first 2 years of ownership. We will avoid purchasing the so-called high end Korean appliances next time, and we will not purchase from Lowes again.

Purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator ($2,300) in late 2016 from Home Depot. From the beginning the ice maker would become encased in ice and stop working every 6-8 weeks. Had to chip away at the ice around the ice maker for it to start working again. Searched the web for this problem and apparently this is a very common problem with this model. Contacted Samsung and was told service would cost me as it was out of warranty. Tried turning refrigerator off for a few hours to defrost ice and then it would work again for a few weeks. All I can say is that I wish I had read reviews on Samsung refrigerators before I purchased mine. Ive owned Samsung TVs and smart phones that are all exceptional and I thought the same would be true with Samsung appliances but I was dead wrong. Brand new refrigerator model # RF263BEAESG - only 6 months old - started leaking water out of the left side top where electrical wires are coming out of the top of refrigerator. Contacted Samsung. They created a repair ticket. After five days and no one showed up I called the service company only to go to voice mail. Call Samsung back and they give the service ticket to another service company... same thing 2nd time - service company wouldnt come to my house. After three weeks into the ordeal, Samsung said they would refund the purchase price of my refrigerator. To get my money back I had to provide the original sales receipt, sign a contract saying I would dispose of the old refrigerator and not continue to use it, send the labels inside the refrigerator to Samsung showing model & serial # and cut the electrical cord. After complying with Samsungs request I then get an email two weeks later saying they dont have the serial # and we cannot move forward even though they had the serial # from my initial call for service. After several days of fighting this battle I get a call from Samsung saying they found the serial # but before they can process the claim now I need to go out and purchase a new refrigerator and show them the receipt for the new purchase. In addition, I need to show them a receipt from a haul away company that disposed of my refrigerator with the leaking ice maker.Refrigerator was purchased from Home Depot. I have contacted the manager of the particular Home Depot store but so far they havent offered much help. I Home Depot manager that given my experience and experiences Ive read about from other consumers that if I were him I will completely discontinue selling Samsung appliances. Ive owned many appliances over my 72 year life span and NEVER have I EVER experienced such an horrific experience. Given the runaround Ive received from Samsung I doubt very seriously Ill ever receive a refund for my refrigerator. Stay away from Samsung appliances, particularly their refrigerators.

Spent $2600 on a Samsung refrigerator that has never since day one of owning it, dispensed ice correctly. After months, customer service finally showed up 7:00pm to fix it. After leaving, it does the exact same thing. Called customer service again and Iesha who apparently was having a lousy day based on her attitude, rescheduled service in another week. Avoid this company! The model number is: RF23J9011SR/AA. Run far away! Weve owned the refrigerator over a year and never has it dispensed ice. The only way to get any is remove the whole ice device and chip it out. Great on the marriage!

4 door Samsung Refrigerator Samsung RF23J9011 - Bought this fridge in July
4 door Samsung Refrigerator Samsung RF23J9011 - Bought this fridge in July 2016 brand new from HH Gregg. A year and half later (Dec. 2017) the refrigerator portion of the fridge stopped working. It was 2 weeks before someone could come look at it. Samsung used a company called MetroTech. I had to pay 90.00 for an assessment and wait another 2 weeks for a part. The problem was with the seal which was covered under warranty as a defect. 2 weeks turned into 3 and the part was installed but it did not fix the problem. So Metrotech advised Samsung to replace the unit which they refused until Metrotech put in another part. Another 2 weeks of waiting and Metrotech put in the part. Upon doing so the inside panel of the fridge was damaged. Plus this did not fix the problem. The 4th time Samsung sent Metrotech out, Metrotech advised Samsung to replace the unit. A unit Exchange process was put in. When I called Samsung they told me they needed a certificate of ownership. I do not have this as it was still being paid for however, the account was in my deceased spouses name financed through Synchrony bank. HH Greg went out of business. Synchrony bank will not let me pay for the fridge because they filed a claim against the remaining balance in probate - even though I tried to pay for it. Probate will not end until sometime in May. Samsung will not replace the defective fridge without it showing the fridge is paid for. I do not know what to do? I think this is horrible and will never buy another Samsung product. EVER.

My Samsung refrigerator is about 4 years old. Several times, it has simply quit operating. Most times disconnecting the power and restarting it has solved the problem. Yesterday it starting showing the error message OF which means it has gone back into showroom mode. This mode shuts the refrigerator down and is used in showroom situations to reduce power consumption. I researched the error code and tried all the solutions outlined on the various websites to no avail. I called a repairman and he indicated that the computer has failed and I would need to spend $600 to fix it. This was a top-rated refrigerator by Consumer Affairs. You were clearly misguided and should remove this appliance from your recommendations immediately. My last refrigerator was a Kenmore and lasted for twenty-five years with no significant problems.

Water Level Release Arm - When using the water dispenser it has many scratches. Only had this fridge 4 months. Manual states to press and thats what we have done with a normal glass. When I call Samsung they say its approved but then nothing happens and the electronic repair shop says they keep seeing rejected. This is absolutely been a nightmare and I keep finding myself at square one. It is a plastic part of poor quality and does not withstand normal use. The scratches appear and make the frig look old and worn. Im getting no place with Samsung.

My french door RF217 refrigerator has not operated properly since I got it. I had the repairman repair it twice and it just went back to dysfunction. The ice maker doesnt work, the water fills up and and freezes under the vegetable trays and the temperature indicator is not displaying due to an ice maker error code. This company needs to stand behind their name and replace this obviously defective product. Ive seen several other reviews with the same problem. Customer service has been useless.

Our only 5-year old Samsung fridge was pronounced too expensive to repair today. It hasnt worked well for a couple of years, no ice at first, and then inadequate cooling in both freezer and cooler. Ive been purchasing 10 lb bags of ice. But, it doesnt even keep it frozen well. Now this was a $2,200 retail product. Samsung has done nothing to help with this dud and Lowes, the retailer, is about as useless too. After conversations with both, we have decided to buy American and chose HH Gregg for our replacement. No.... its not a Samsung and there will never be another Samsung product in this house.

We purchased a $5000 Samsung 4-door refrigerator two years ago and it was the biggest mistake I’ve made in my home. The ice maker gives us constant trouble. We had Samsung come out and repair it 6 months ago and it has already broken again and they want me to pay $100 just for a diagnostic appointment that won’t even cover the repairs! Worst of all, when the repair person came the first time he told me that Samsung knows this is a problem with their design and has just decided to screw the customers who already purchased the product and wait and see if they will call for repairs. I am an educated consumer who did my research but this fridge is absolute junk. Samsung should stand behind their products and less than 2 years for a $5000 is obscene. Now I’m trying to decide whether I should fix it or throw it out. I wish I had bought a Sub-Zero in the first place. STAY AWAY FROM THE SAMSUNG CHEF COLLECTION, IT IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!

We have had this range for 4 years and it has operated well. The coating on the bottom of the oven appears to have cracked and rust is forming which I suspect is from self cleaning. Samsung considers this cosmetic and will not cover this. The range still looks like it is new, including the racks. I cant seem to find anything online where this has been an issue with ranges.

I am not sure if I got a lemon or if this is a widespread problem, but we bought the Samsung Fridge (model RF4287HARS/XAA) in November 2011. The middle shelf on the left door, as you face the open fridge, which is adjacent to the ice maker, cracked after a few months. The crack was minor but spread over time. We barely used the shelf and could not figure out how it happened. We ordered a replacement shelf (under warranty) in Sept. 2012. It had been a problem for months, but that is when we got around to it. The problem recurred very soon after getting the replacement shelf.Again, it was small to start, and we did not notice it for a while. As we were busy with kids and the holidays, we did not contact Samsung until 2013. The warranty was up, but Samsung agreed that the shelf should not have formed a crack and sent us a second replacement in early June 2013. We put in the replacement shelf, and this time, we did not even put anything on the shelf, and it cracked again... the third time, within a few days. Each time, the crack has started where the shelf touches the door at the ice maker. At this point, it is clear that the crack is being created by the ice maker. Samsung is sending a third replacement shelf but will not acknowledge that there is actually a problem with the fridge that is causing the shelf to crack. I am not certain if it is a unique defect with our fridge or more widespread. I started typing this as I approached one hour of time on hold for their customer service supervisor. I had asked to escalate things to the Executive Customer Relations team but was told that no one could take the call, or a message due to high demand. I finally abandoned my call after this long hold time.

RF266AEPN/XAA - Purchased 8-2012. Pbm began July 2014. The fan made a loud racket. Sears was great. Repairman said it was due to fan hitting against ice built up on drain tubes caused by putting hot food in refrig (steam turned to ice). Food safety requires hot foods must be refrigerated! I now have to defrost my refrig & freezer for 2 days to install a $200 kit to prevent this from happening again... It should have never happened in the first place. What an inconvenience. While Samsung denies having a problem, they conveniently have a repair kit specifically designed for the Non Problem. It is a beautiful and functional refrigerator but I am disgusted with Samsung. If make a mistake, admit it, fix it and people will respect you. Samsung responsibility is to reimburse everyone for the kit and the cost of installation.

My husband and I purchased a new home July 2016. Kitchen had brand new appliances. We already had a repair done in Samsung dishwasher in which took over a week to get repaired. That was only after 5 uses. December 23, 2016 my refrigerator failed. Lost everything. Called the customer service at Samsung because they are brand new appliances. They should not be failing. The few people that I spoke to were not able to help get someone out. Spoke to supervisor. Got a local repair to come out that Friday to tell us what we known it was the compressor. Its a holiday weekend, company was coming and a baby in house. Samsung certainly did not see our frustrations. The guy at repair center said it will take 3 to five days for part to come in. That brings us to the middle of the week. Called repair center said it may be in Friday. I called Samsung again today 12/27/16 and told them the issue. Basically there is nothing they could do other than wait for the part even though it will be almost 2 weeks without a refrigerator that should not have failed (in warranty repair). I asked the supervisor at Samsung if they can expedite the part. She said no theres nothing they can do other than wait. Again I tried pleading my case. I have a baby in the house and other young children not to mention it is 60 out in RI today and losing everything in coolers. They did not resolve this pressing issue or the fact that I lost too and bottom of the food in refrigerator that is worth about 300 and the food I had to replace that I lost. Their customer service is just trained to patch the problem. They sound more like counselors than trying to make their product right.

The machine quit working after seven months. Never really fell in love with
The machine quit working after seven months. Never really fell in love with the thing. First, the racks are awkward. They look nice in the store but you cant stack dishes in them very well. Next, the wheels pop off the rack when you slid it in or out like the designer had been fired from the Lego factory. Next, the depth of the unit is not a standard depth. It sticks out into the kitchen just enough that when you lean against the counter, you hit the buttons on the front of the machine turn it on or off, or changing the settings. Next, the soap dispenser wasnt designed right because if you put pot or a pitcher too close, the front edge, it doesnt open. Then you have to wait another three hours for clean dishes. Finally and the biggest one is that it must have cheap components. It just died. After the repairman looked at it, he said it could be the control circuit or it could be drain motor. Really? Because when you think about it or if you have ever checked one of these out mechanically, there are only three parts that can break down. He mention two of them. On the other hand, this is the perfect machine if you: 1) Like doing dishes my hand. You can even use the dishwasher racks to dry them on, if you dont mind the two cent wheels that pop off; 2) If you have so much kitchen space you dont mind sacrificing 20 cubic feet for a giant unmovable paperweight; 3) The repair person is good friend you want to send business to until the warranty runs out; 4) You have several hundred dollars that you want to either give to the Occupy cause (heads) or the 1%ers (tails) and tails won and you dont know how else to give it them; 5) You have in-laws that constantly come over and want to get rid of them by making them eat off dirty dishes; 6) You love the stench of stagnant water that develops while you wait for repairs. My old dishwasher was in the house when I bought it 14 years ago. Who knew that the old clunky Roper was good and brand new Samsung was garbage? There are only about three functional parts to a dishwasher: pump in, pump out and a control unit. All three can be easily manufactured to function for 20 years. You have to really try to make something that will go out in less than four years. In other words, your Samsung is designed to fall apart in about 36 months. Following a normal curve, some us end up with the ones that die in less than a year and other will get a machine that last 48 months. I have canned goods in my cupboard that lasted longer than my dishwasher! Something should be done. I know this is long winded, but what else do I have to do while I am again waiting of the repairman to call?

I purchased a new Samsung side by side refrigerator freezer with ice maker in 2016. I have had a service technician come out to fix it 3 times. The first time the freezer wouldnt work. Come to find out it was frozen up. A temp control issue. After that got fixed a few months later the ice maker stopped working, now last but most definitely not least I found out today that the compressor is bad and I paid extra money for it good product and boy was I mistaken. DONT THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY! If you want to throw money away buy one of these terrible pieces of junk. I am sorely dissatisfied with the product and their willingness to fix the problems. Read some reviews from others and youll see. Buy about any other brand and youd be better off than me.

I have never written a online review before, but feel compelled to warn consumers regarding Samsung products. I purchased a Samsung, over the range Microwave from Home Depot (Model #SMH181613) in December 2013. The microwave stopped working in March just three months after the warranty expired. While I did not expect the microwave to last forever, 15 months is a short life for any appliance. This would not be so bad if I had not also purchased a washer and dryer made by Samsung. The washer does not get clothes clean no matter how few clothes you put in the washer or how carefully you follow the instruction for washing. My family take their clothes to the Laundromat!

I have had some of the same bad experiences with Samsung products, so I decided to share my experience to help those facing the same problems as me. I have owned the top of the line dmt800RHS dishwasher for less than two years. Initially the only issue was that the dishes would not get clean enough, so I spoke to the Lowes sales person who told me to make sure the water was hot at the sink before I start my washer. Even though there is a heating element in the machine, this did seem to help. Then, we started to smell what a lot of you are complaining about. Finally, the last straw was this latest issue with the machine filling with water but not starting the wash cycle. It also drains okay. I took the washer outside and removed everything inside it. Dont worry, its not rocket science, you can do it too. Just take your time. What I found was a piece of calcium stuck between the impeller and deflector. The calcium had hardened on the heating elements. I had to remove trapped food from inside the screen. I believe that is where the smell is coming from. I laid the machine on its back and removed the white plastic cover on the bottom that has two screws. Use a flat tip screw driver to release the tabs. Once inside, use a pair of pliers to pinch and slide the clamp back to remove the black hose at about the middle of the washer bottom. Stand it upright and blast the interior with your garden hose. If you live with hard water and your heating coil is covered with calcium put the hose back on and in the upright position submerge the coil in a CLR/water mixture. It might be a good idea to use a dishwasher cleaner monthly to keep the odor and calcium down. I hope I helped someone.

I just became aware of the class action lawsuit related to the faulty ice maker unit in my refrigerator. My model isnt explicitly listed, however it does state the list isnt limited to those units. I purchased from Lowes 01/07/2017 for $1805.01. I purchased (thankfully) the extended warranty as well. We dealt with the noise forever; weve had 4 service calls thus far for complete inoperability. Most recently phoned 6/4/21. First avail 6/18; ordered parts; returned 6/25 to complete. Never worked, and is now displaying error codes. Next avail 7/5 to fix. I realize I am fortunate to have the extended warranty but it runs out in 6 months; then Im stuck with a faulty fridge. I am hoping Samsung will do the right thing and pay out for those of us dealing with this problem.

Purchased Samsung french door RF268ABWP refrigerator from Lowes at the end of 2013 and had problems from the start. I had to return refrigerator and replaced with the same model. I had to have a technician out within months because sliding drawer wouldnt close correctly and a problem with the door closing. Every year since Ive had to have the ice maker replaced. Keep in mind I have dual ice makers. Only one works at any given time. Other. In 4 years I needed 4 new ice makers. Luckily I had purchased Lowes extended warranty. Thats a problem in itself as youll wait weeks for service and even longer for parts. I had them come out for one service call for the broken ice maker and the technician ordered a new part and I was told to wait for the part. Took almost a month with me calling every week to finally get the part and told they ordered the wrong part. Waited months for a replacement part which never came. I called again months later only to find out my extended warranty is expired.I spent over 2500.00 for a piece of junk. No one should is expected to replace an ice maker ever year. I called Samsung after finding out my last ice maker installed had a year warranty which is still valid. I wanted them to replace my ice maker for free. They stated I would have to pay $175.00 for a service call for the tech to verify my ice maker was broke and then installation cost. I asked for them to just send me the replacement and I would have installed myself. No such luck. So my ice maker has a warranty which is useless unless Samsung gets paid for bogus charges. Seems this is a very problematic model from all the complaints listed. There should be a recall or class action lawsuit.

I bought a Samsung microwave (next to top of the line) and within a year it would not heat. The store I bought it at graciously replaced it. I added money to it and purchased the top of the line one - again a Samsung. In January the door bracket broke and my husband and I spent a day finding the right bracket on the internet. It was a $10 part and after finding schematics on the internet on how to replace it he was able to replace it. Otherwise it would have been at least a $125 repair call. It will be 2 years in July since we purchased this top of the line Samsung microwave and this one is not working. I detected a burning wire smell this morning in my kitchen and could not figure out where it was coming from till I opened my microwave to heat my tea and the light did not come on and the control panel was not lit. Thats when I realized that the burning wire smell was coming from the microwave. Really? Two Samsung microwaves within 3 years. I have sent Samsung an email asking for some kind of financial reimbursement to purchase another microwave because I will never purchase another Samsung microwave. I doubt that a reimbursement is going to happen. But I will keep all of you in the loop.

We purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator (RH25H5611SR/AA) in June 2
We purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator (RH25H5611SR/AA) in June 2016 from Sears. In December, the circulating fan in the refrigerator side gave out. Do a search - this is a continuing problem for Samsung refrigerators, across many models. It took 3 weeks and many phone calls before the service guy showed up and finally fixed it with a replacement part in less than 15 minutes. Three days ago, the same thing happened to the freezer side. Sometimes the fan runs (noisily) and it cools, mostly it doesnt and the freezer sits at about 45 degrees with water from melting ice running out the front. So I started a service request online late Tuesday evening. Thursday noon, Samsung called. I had to play along with their script for troubleshooting which is a huge OMG waste of time. Finally, everything looked good, the support person assured me - I would just have to monitor it for 24 hours (they are expecting a miraculous healing?), then I could call back and schedule an repair appointment. Okay - I called the next day, same time. Now let me mention, this refrigerator was a floor model. So it was sold more than a year after it was made. We were assured it would be under warranty. BUT - it fails Samsungs automated warranty approval application - so the same as the first time, when I called back they tell me it isnt under warranty. They have the sales receipt I sent the first time, which was approved - theyre reading it - but they get stuck because they cant read past the delivery date on top to the bottom where the purchase date is shown. So they tell me its not a valid receipt. They tell me its a delivery receipt (it isnt - just a planned delivery time 7 am-12 pm is shown). Both dates are still in warranty, but in the end they tell me I have to submit the same receipt again. Its Friday. Another 3 or 4 day delay until whoever approves receipts looks at it. Instant rejection, 3 days to reprocess. So earliest, Monday or Tuesday I may get called back and with luck only wait another week until the service guy shows up. My old refrigerator in the garage has been running 19 years without a hiccup. Samsung - exploding washers, defective refrigerators and customer service that would make Comcast proud. Honestly, I wouldnt buy toilet paper from that company.

We bought our dishwasher in Nov of 2013. It worked fine until June of 2016, then it would not run. I called Samsung and told them of the problem, after about one hour on the phone they said they would send a repairman from an authorized repair shop according to them. Two weeks later he came and did a evaluation of the machine and determined that the touch panel circuit board was not working and would order the part. I told him that the dishwasher was out of warranty but Samsung warranty covers the circuit boards for 5 years and we have over 2 years left. The part came to my home and I called dependable services to make arrangements to have it installed. They came out a couple of days later and replaced the new part then tried to charge me 291.65 for the part and the service call after almost a day of figuring out who was going to pay for it.Samsung agreed that it was covered. Because if I had to pay for it I was having the serviceman take it out and forget about it. For that price I could add another couple of hundred dollars and get a new one. Well the machine worked about 3 weeks doing about 15 washes and broke again. Same symptoms. I called dependable services. They came out a couple of days later. Repairman looked somewhere else on machine and decided that it was two relay switches on another circuit board that needed to be replaced. He also tried to get Samsung to replace it and their comment was, We repaired once at our cost we are not doing it twice. The price for this repair was 338.00.Needless to say it was not repaired. I will replace with another brand of dishwasher. This dishwasher replaced a ge brand that came with the new home and never had a problem with except it was noisy. Did a great job of cleaning. I just want everyone to know my problems with Samsung and let buyer beware. I will NOT be buying another Samsung appliance in the future and will tell all my family and friends my story and beg them not to purchase a Samsung appliance product.

March 15, 2016 - We were using the microwave for the 3rd time when it malfunctioned. The Internal electrical magnetron mechanism behind display overheated and cut a hole on the right side of the cooking box and started a fire. At the time this happened my wife was cooking a package of microwaveable veggies on the turntable. Cooking instructions were to microwave for 5 minutes on High. When there was about 1 minute left in the cycle my wife noticed a small fire on the inside of the unit. She opened the door and put out the fire. I opened the cabinet above the microwave and unplugged the unit from the wall.March 15, 2016 - Sent email to Samsung through their website with my info, Microwave info and the information above and below: We can no longer trust this unit in our home. Please send appropriate individual to pick up unit. Please send check for purchase price of unit in the amount of $263.74 to the following address. (Home). The Unit can also be picked up at the same address.March 18, 2016 4:50 PM. We received voicemail from Samsung-Canada notifying me that a serviceman will be out to fix Microwave on March 23, 2016. March 18, 2016 6:30 PM. I called Samsung-Canada and told them again that we do not want a service call. They should pick up unit and refund the purchase price to us. [Transferred to 2nd Customer Service individual, Carlton] I told him again that we do not want a service call. Samsung should pick up unit and refund the purchase price to us. He said he noted that in my report and someone will call me on the weekend or Monday 3/21/2016. March 20, 2016 12:00 PM. Received call from Samsung-Canada [Andre] from Executive Customer Relations Department I told him again that this unit is a Out-of-Box failure. We do not want it repaired. We will no longer have a microwave in our house. Pick up unit and refund purchased price. Andre said a serviceman needs to evaluate unit and determine that if it is repairable or defective. I told him, It started a fire, its defective. March 22, 2016 - Samsung sent a Technician from Local Appliance Service to evaluated. He said it was the magnetron and the unit should be junked. Unit was taken to shop for complete review & evaluation. April 4, 2016 - Called Local Appliance Service to request status on Microwave. Lady said she believed it was finished and that she would call me back. Received call back and set up delivery for Wednesday April 6, 2016. (Samsung decided to repair unit).April 4, 2016 - Received call from Samsung-Los Angeles 310-669-4261, she asked about a schedule change to Saturday. I told her that Local Appliance Service called me with a delivery date and I changed it from Tuesday to Wednesday. Then I told her we would not be using the Microwave Oven and I would search out other avenues for getting rid of this defective product. (She did not like what I was telling her and quickly ended the call.) April 6, 2016 - Local Appliance Service delivered Samsung Microwave with new Magnetron, Controller & Capacitor. Magnetron overheated and turned into an out-of-control Laser Gun packing 3,000-5,000 VDC with each Punch. CONCLUSION OF MY ESSAY: My wife and I never want this unit to be installed into any home. Reason being I know that the replacement parts were the same part numbers as the parts in the original unit and have an excellent chance of repeating history.

We spent $3000 on this model fridge in 2016. By all accounts based on what Ive read about this issue, Samsung has known about the ice maker issue this model has since 2015 and did nothing to stop the sale of the fridges. The first time it happened, it being that the ice maker frosting over and water leaking out from the ice maker opening, it was two years after purchase and out of warranty, so we called a local technician. He charged us $370 to fix the issue. He said it was a very common issue with Samsung fridges and it had been going on for years. Two months after he left of course the issue came right back. Samsung is now changing its tune and is stating that they will pay for the ice maker itself and help us find a technician to come out and replace the ice maker. It will cost us another $250 to have the ice maker replaced and there is no guarantee that the new ice maker is any different than the one its replacing. My sister-in-law has the same fridge and has the same issue. My good friend has had other Samsung appliances lately and they have been terrible in terms of reliability. I am telling everyone I know to never buy a Samsung product again.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator almost 5 years ago. The refrigeration system is warranted for 5 years. The freezer stopped working 2 weeks ago. A Samsung service rep has been here 3 times and now the refrigerator section doesnt work at all. The customer service department is terrible to deal with; they now want to send a service out again a 4th time next week. Have you ever tried to live without a refrigerator for a week. I would not recommend purchasing a Samsung refrigerator if you want a refrigerator to last more than 5 years. And make sure you have a spare refrigerator while Samsung tries to fix it.

I am a contractor who has installed over 100 dishwashers. This is the worst installation design I have ever seen. The hot water & drain connections are at the left rear corner of the D/W. The hot water supply line requires a 90 degree fitting (which is NOT supplied). The water supply connection is 3 above the floor & 4 from the left side. The water connection fitting on the D/W is PLASTIC. You have to buy a 90 degree fitting (brass), then remove the BRASS connector nut & replace it with the PLASTIC nut provided with D/W. When you connect the water supply line to the 90 degree fitting, it has to bend at a 90 degree angle to fit in the cabinet opening. The Drain hose is also connected at the rear left hand corner. You are warned to not overtighten the 90 degree fitting (PLASTIC) or it can cause a leak. THEN, it tells you to slide the D/W into the cabinet opening & be careful not to kink the water & drain hoses. It is such an idiotic design that the instructions actually say, Get a SECOND or THIRD person to help you if this is necessary. Once installed you have no way of seeing if the water or drain hoses are leaking, until it is too late. Three days later water was dripping from my basement ceiling, due to water connection leaking and ruining my bamboo kitchen floor. For 46 years I have installed D/Ws with the connections right in front behind the base panel. An easy connection for one man/woman and you can readily observe if you have any leaks. Samsung should stick to TVs.

I recently purchased a home and needed a microwave. My parents have a second home and they were kind enough to give me the 2-year-old Samsung microwave from that home. The microwave was hardly ever used when my parents had it, so apparently daily use was just too much for it. The keypad will not work - at all - not one single button. Ive tried unplugging it and leaving it unplugged for hours, it doesnt work. The display just flashes Simply Samsung forever. Then, in the middle of the night, it activates the 1 button by itself. Ill wake up and hear it repeatedly dinging and the display says 11:11. This microwave was never exposed to any water or harsh climate conditions. Its just a piece of **. Now that I have to purchase a microwave, I can guarantee it wont be a Samsung.

4-door stainless frig doors rusting - Purchased 5/12. Began noticing rust on lower doors within a few months which has since spread to all 4 doors. Requested service 9/14 after numerous calls to Samsung and Lowes with feedback that it was a cosmetic issue and therefore not addressed. Tech visited and confirmed rust on all doors. Cleaning product was approved stainless steel cleaner. 3 other stainless steel appliances in home have no rust (other brands). Purchased at Lowes online. Have been told by Lowes that Samsung doesnt warranty cosmetic issues. This is NOT a cosmetic issue but a moisture issue from inside the unit. Where there is moisture there is rust and potentially mold. For all we know the inside of the doors is covered with mold. Do not buy Samsung refrigerators... engineering/design issues without adequate product/service support!

Purchased a stove approx. 30 days ago, surface area on 2 burners peeling. Samsung sent a service center to assess and they apparently reported that it is physical damage. Im still questioning the physical damage from what? I contacted Samsung and was told that it is not covered under the warranty. The service advisor did inform that the peeling was a common problem with the stove but Samsung does not want to honor the repairs or take the onus.

I posted a YouTube video I made about how I fixed my Samsung Microwave plagued with the dreaded 5E (SE) error. Like many other people, my Samsung Microwave started giving me an SE error a little after a year after I bought it. When I called Samsung, they told me the warranty was up and suggested I should call an appliance repair company. I followed their advice on this site and tried to repair the microwave myself by cleaning the display pad. The fix took me about 15 minutes and seems to have worked. Two weeks later, and the microwave is still working fine. Keep your fingers crossed. Some other commentators on this site have suggested that Samsung may now fix this error if you mention all the negative comments on this and similar sites. I will give Samsung another call and see if this approach works if the microwave fails again and once again I am plagued with an SE error.

We purchased a Samsung RF24FSEDBSR in 2016, built April 2015. 4 door model so that the cold cuts and handy things are in a middle drawer. Great features, and electronic controls provide good feedback that all is working. Bright interior LEDs. Ice maker and water dispenser. The functions and features sold it for us. Within months, the door shelves were cracking. We are not abusive, just placing milk. The plastic is brittle. The shelf bottom will crack and the tabs that hold the door can come apart, which drops it on the floor. Had to buy two new shelves. I bought Styrene plastic sheets from a hobby store, cut and sandwiched them to the drawers in weak areas (using MEK), for reinforcement which solved that issue. Never experienced such poor plastic (HIPS) in a $2000 appliance... or even a $500 unit.At about 3 years old, the fridge starts to buzz inside, and ice is visible in the interior back panel. Ice is encroaching on the evaporator fan. I removed the back panel to access the evaporator coil. Solid ice in the upper half of the coil. As if the defrost heater doesnt work. In fact, the defrost heater does work. Could not find any fault in the defrost thermo-disk, and all temperature sensors measured OK. Heater works too (120 Ohms). Changed the defrost thermo-disk anyway and really defrosted and dried out the cover using a hair dryer. Fridge ran fine for 8 months. Repeat. Turns out the defroster only takes care of the lower half of the evaporator coil! Design flaw. Once you start hearing the fan buzzing, the ice is building in the upper half of the evaporator coil. Once the fan gets stopped, everything including the styrofoam turns into a block of ice. You can thaw out the styrofoam and remove the ice. Or replace that back cover and styrofoam until another humid time when it will freeze up again (design flaw). Ive now defrosted it manually about 6 or 7 times, using every opportunity to measure and determine why this is happening. Ive checked all on-line videos and advice to solve these freeze up issues and attempted those that make sense (cause-effect). I have a power datalogger monitoring the fridge electrical consumption so I can evaluate how often and for how long it defrosts. Taken it on as a riddle.I did contact Samsung early in this process. They sounded concerned, but when the customer service rep check with their manager, they stated I must have been abusive to cause plastic to crack. No warranty. Yeah right. Im gluing everything together. Today, another roller wheel broke off... glued it back on. The freeze issues started right after warranty. Glad I can trouble shoot and fix myself, else the cost would be crazy. Now Im looking at modifications to prevent the evap coil from freezing up again. Whether you are a technical person or not... its not worth the trouble.... Dont let Samsung glitz sucker you in! It is a lemon. Wife hates it too.

Then finally got service ticket and supposed to get call. No call. Called Samsung back. Said allow 48 hours for the call. 72 hours - no call. Still waiting on call. Samsung confirms ticket number and contact information. Service people on the phone treat you like an idiot. One guaranteed me that changing the temperature on the ice maker would solve the problem. Another told me the wires on top of the door hinges were the problem. Reset the icemaker about ten times. Water in the door is fine. Another one said it was not getting water. There is only one water supply line. Another said maybe the unit is not level. What bull that was. Nothing works.

Went with Samsung given what we thought was a strong brand name, and the fact that the microwave had a sleek contemporary look. After just over a year the vent fan or light will spontaneously kick on. At the same time, the touchpad controls will not respond. We have to wash and basically polish the control panel - which runs along the bottom of the door, in order to regain control of the unit. And just for the record, the door can be spotlessly clean and it will still happen. And as the last couple of months have shown, the incidents are increasing in frequency. Also, if there is any time remaining after use (and no one clears the settings), the microwave will sporadically start to run. Imagine being in bed and having your microwave turn on - or the fan burst on. After reading other reviews I do not feel encouraged to call Samsung and unfortunately I will seek replacement with another manufacturer.

We just changed the filter, again, and ran 3 gallons of water, and it still sounds horrible. I would not buy this again. This fridge is about a year old and has done this since day one. It is a French door, and other than this I love the appliance. It sounds all time of the day and night whenever the ice maker fills or you try to fill a glass of water. Bought from HHgregg a Samsung stainless package 08/01/13. Delivered and installed it 09/07/13. Everything worked great for a year except the dishwasher (DW80F800 series with stormwash). This dishwasher was why it took a month because it was an upgrade to the one on order but was out of stock. This dishwasher sucks! Not only does it not dry dishes from the beginning when I got it; yes I use the jet dry liquid rinse aid, error messages now keep coming on even after repairman came and replaced the main board (which took almost three weeks of hand-washing dishes), it does not have a heat drying element. $700 piece of **, after reading all the reviews of the same thing happening with lots of other Samsung dishwashers. As one reviewer said, Samsung needs to stick to making cell phones!P.S. I now have another repair order for this 15 month-old dishwasher and if he cant fix it this time Im gonna insist on a re-select from hhgregg and get a more reliable dishwasher.... This happened at least 3 times last summer. This summer we have had the same issue again. When I contacted Samsung about this they state there is no problem with this model. I bought the Samsung french door refrigerator which was not inexpensive but I thought it would be worth the money. As soon as the warranty was out, it started to make a really loud noise. Apparently, frost builds up behind a panel that I cannot access and the circulation fan hits the ice. I have had a repairman out twice. Samsung says to unplug it for 5 hours and let the Ice melt. I purchased this range/oven about 4 months ago. I’ve had several smooth top ranges before and I could always get marks and food off with ceramic stovetop cleaner….But not with this one! I purchased new cookware to start with a clean slate and I’m so careful with the stovetop. I’m really frustrated with trying to keep it “new” like all my previous ones. There are marks all over it and dull places where I cleaned with a scratch proof pad and ceramic stove top cleaner. The mirrored black shows every smear and smudge. I literally have to buff it with a clean towel every time. That being said, one reason I purchased this stove is for the low temp presets on the oven. I make bread and it’s hard to find an oven that will go below 170°. I’ve enjoyed this feature very much. The air fry feature, not so much. It has to be set above 450° to get good results and it takes way too long vs a countertop air fryer. Overall, the range/oven operates fine. I just wish the smooth top was a little better quality and more resistant to marks, residue and smears. None of my previous smooth tops had this issue.

I bought this refrigerator two years ago. Paid almost 4000 for it and its been trouble ever since. First they cant seem to get ice maker to work right so I had to manually defrost monthly. Now for the big issue, this is a dual zone model meaning it has two compressors one for each zone, well the top zone compressor went out. Service man came, ran diagnostics. Sure enough compressor quit. Samsung now says this is a non repairable item. So at this point the fridge is junk. Samsung says they will buy it back but have been dragging their feet on how much they will give me or when this will happen since November 16. Don’t buy Samsung! They are not responsible nor do they take ownership for their manufacturers defects. After only 3 years all 5 knobs have broken on my range purchased Dec 31 2015. I cannot use the range and Samsung refuses to acknowledge ownership for poor quality or replace the knobs. It is a simple task that costs less than $5 yet they are willing to lose business over $5. It seems they do not value their customers. In 25 years I have never had any knob break on my ranges. Even the cheapest of Frigidaire ranges are sturdier and better built than this Samsung model that I purchased through Costco for $1,100. Very disappointed in Samsung’s customer service. All my appliances are Samsung (dishwasher, fridge, tv, phone, etc) and this is the customer loyalty they show. Disgraceful. The service call was escalated and they still refused to even make a compromise. “I’m sorry, that’s what the 1 year warranty is for,” doesn’t seem to cut it. They have lost a long time customer.

Updated on 06/16/2019: Well, hello folks! It’s been a couple of years since I last posted. Still the same old fridge complaints. The repair guy has been here at least 4 more times since 2017. Same repairs, circuit boards, etc. THIS time he said Non-Repairable! But it’s ok, the company said they would send a check for 800 dollars. Seems they subtract the prior repairs from your purchase price!! How clever!! Which means the extended warranty is a joke! Hey!! Guess what! I paid a lot more than $800! I now am so sick of Samsung, that I will never, never again be so foolish. Btw the Samsung microwave has been just as bad. This has got to stop. These companies are not concerned about longevity, just sales. I’m ashamed of them.Original Review: Well, fridge is blowing the circuit breaker again. 2nd time in less than 2 yrs. Took 2 mos. the first time to get it fixed, wonder how long this time? H. H. Gregg in Cincinnati is now out of business, although they wasnt much help in the first place, and ext. warranty is dragging their feet again. All brand new appliances after we got our new house, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer, etc. controls on the stove never have worked right. Anything below 3 on the burners may work, may not. I wish I just had a fridge that cooled, let alone the icemaker working. Supposedly a couple circuit boards went bad the 1st time, and its doing the same thing this time. So we are patiently waiting for a serviceman to call back, meantime living out of a couple of coolers. BUYING SAMSUNG WAS WITHOUT A DOUBT the BIGGEST MISTAKE OF OUR LIVES!!! Paid for a Samsung Refrigerator. Picked it up from the retailing Store 3 months later. I was given a Pickup invoice on which the Retailer indicated the date of sale and the date of pickup. However, the unit developed some problems. I called Samsung (Manufacturer Warranty). They insisted that it was over one year I paid for the unit and as such was out of warranty. I went to the Retailer who gave me a letter and also wrote Samsung to clear the air on this issue. The letter clearly outlined the day I reserved the unit and the day I picked it up and asked Samsung to extend to me the warranty from the date I picked up the refrigerator.Every time I contacted Samsung, the customer service agents claim they never received the letter from the Retailer. I had to send it to them again and again and again. Ive done this over 6 times. They always claim they never received it and as such would not authorize a repair of my refrigerator. I am tired of all these and intend to look for a repair technician who will repair it. I will then go to Small Claims court to file a claim against Samsung for the repair and loss of use of my refrigerator including costs of damaged foods. I called the Customer Service once again for their mailing address to send them the court papers. The agent I spoke to refused giving it to me. Said I should email it. How can I email the original court papers? Even if I can, to an email address they never admit to receiving my emails at? Finally, I will quit patronizing SAMSUNG products!

Samsung french door bottom freezer refrigerator. Fridge is 23 months old. Started making a loud racket when opening door, stops then when door closed starts up again. Drive one nuts as really really loud. Then it stopped after a few hours of off and on. Suddenly the temps on front (digital readouts) started flashing? Book said pull power plug, wait ten minutes, then plug back in. Did so, and the temps just climbed up...was up to 69 degrees F in Fridge and up in Freezer as well. Left it sit for a while, called Samsung Cust. service (if you can call it that). They asked a few questions and then said, Oh, you have a ONE year warranty, sorry. I said WHOA --- there is three years on SOME parts and TEN YEARS on compressor. Do YOU know exactly what is wrong? They then said, wait one minute --- then came back and said, WE HAVE NO ONE IN YOUR AREA THAT IS A SAMSUNG REP. --- so sorry, you may want to call your own repair person (response came via e mail). I drove eight miles to HOME DEPOT where we bought the fridge (for nearly two thousand dollars) and the woman there got on the phone to Samsung on my behalf. After a long wait, she was told I would be getting a call in the next TWO days to schedule a tech to look at the refrigerator. So far, no call. All of a sudden, the fridge began to cool OK again... Maybe sounds like a computer board??? Still waiting for a call. I would never buy another Samsung, after getting the comments from the southern gal at Customer Service. I did finally speak to a supervisor (Shawn) who said, Oh, we have a guy that can check it out north of you... and gave me his number. I called the number --- voice said, the voicemail box for this number is FULL -- good bye. Whole episode is a JOKE and I have spent two + hours on the phone PLUS driving to Home Depot. I will avoid ANY SAMSUNG product after this response!!!

We purchased this range 08/2014 after much research and deliberation. The burners are impossible to regulate. First theyre not hot enough, then theyre waaay too hot and your food is burned. Same thing with the oven. You really have to keep an eye on your food. The latest issue came when I used the self cleaning mode. The entire control screen went dark/blank and I couldnt open the door.I called Samsung thinking there must be a quick fix, but NO! They want me to pay for someone to come out and service the appliance even though I did nothing wrong and the product is less than 2 years old!!! Come to find out, others have had similar issues. I am waiting for a supervisor at Samsung to call me back and have also contacted Pacific Sales, where we purchased the product to see if they will stand behind it. I will never purchase another Samsung product, NOR will I recommend one.

I have a Samsung French door, bottom freezer and dual ice maker. It stopped making ice and stopped freezing my food in mid July. Its now September. 9 work orders later and many things fixed, I still dont have ice or frozen freezer. Thank God I had the brains to purchase a warranty when I bought the fridge. The price to fix the unfixed fridge now exceeds what I paid for it. Samsung needs to step up and take responsibility, take the fridge back to the drawing board and start all over, make it right or stop making fridges. STICK TO CELL PHONES. I still am without a freezer waiting for second MAIN CONTROL BOARD.

We bought a SAMSUNG dishwasher only to find out that there is no heating element in the dishwasher - by design! Who in their right mind designs a dishwasher that does not also dry the dishes? When I spoke to a SAMSUNG representative, her solution was to wait until the wash cycle ends and then prop the door open to let the steam escape.

They sell defective products and dont stand behind their products or customers. My 89 year old mother has model rf217acrs and she loses hundreds of dollars worth of food not to mention puts her life at risk with spoiled refrigerator food. The fridge air chamber freezes solid then does not maintain temp in fridge. Weve tried Samsung but they say, too bad, out of warranty... Just two years old! I would give it zero stars but this form wont let me.

The freezer is working... For now. We woke up this morning to warm milk. The refrigerator side is not working. Spending Sunday morning defrosting the whole back panel that is frozen up. This is totally unacceptable. My old refrigerator, a Kenmore, is in garage it has been working great for the last 10 years, not one problem ever. Its coming back in the house today.

Samsung counter refrigerator rf197acrs - After one year, our great looking Samsung refrigerator started to accumulate water and ice under crispers. We defrosted the refrigerator. It stopped for a while but ice started to accumulate at the back of refrigerator behind wall (you could see buildup through air pockets). In addition, the fan started to make noise and eventually the refrigerator shut down all together. As we were waiting for someone to help us, we called Samsung with little help as we did not purchase additional warranty. We called Lowes with little help; however they were sympathetic to our predicament. We finally had repairman out and he exchanged part at back of refrigerator wall but that also failed. He came out again and replaced the same part with a new one and here I am waiting for this one to break! This situation leaves one with a feeling of hopelessness!

My wife and mother in law purchased a Samsung refrigerator on a whim without doing their research. Consequently we have a fridge that has given us nothing but problems, the main one being that its not cooling. Had the service guy out (again) and three days later its not cooling again? Im back to putting food in my fishing cooler. Stay away from Samsung refrigerators at all cost! Gotta make yet another service call.

I called twice in 6 months on the same problem. The first time was in addition to setting up a contact for an authorized repair person to come out. I was told that the problem was that the drain line was frozen and they suggested that I let the refrigerator and freezer completely thaw and this should take care of the problem. I did this for 4 hours with both doors open. I may have solved the issue for 4-5 days, but it returned. On my second call, I went through the same information again. This time I went through with having the authorized repair person. I took the day off to accommodate their window of availability. When the repair person arrived, he already knew what the issue was. He did remove one crisper tray and acknowledged that he could see where the water was coming from. He then told me that there is an upgrade that is out that will fix the problem. When asked, he told me that it would not be covered by warranty because it was an upgrade and not a fix. He was here for 10 minutes, which included his paperwork being done. They charged me $76.00 and then proceeded to tell me that the parts and labor would be $116.00; however, the parts are on back-order and so the repairs would not be done until October and this is September 11th. This, coupled with the thawing suggestion, tells me that is not a small issue. So I called Samsung and after 10 minutes on hold as the problem was being reviewed, I was transferred to the executive customer relations department only to be told that my refrigerator was past its one-year warranty and there was nothing they would do to satisfy my issue. Is it unreasonable for a product that costs $1300.00 to last longer than 3 years? So much for executive customer service”! They have my money and they didnt seem to think that they need anything else from me. What they fail to remember or maybe care about is that I (a consumer) will want to buy an appliance again and I have friends that will need to do the same!
