In June 2015 we bought a new 2016 Fleetwood Bounder RV that had a Samsung french door residential refrigerator! We started having trouble with the fridge part getting to 50-60 degrees but the freezer remained at -2 11 months later! Samsung said it went out of warranty in March 2016, probably when it was installed in the RV! NOT when we took possession! They sent a repairman out and he claimed he fixed it but a few months later we had same issue! They gave us a list of authorized repair businesses in our area. We have to take it back to Camping World where we purchased it so they can pull it out from the cabinet it is in. One business Samsung recommended wont work on one in an RV, another showed up before we were back from our trip and before the date we had the appointment set for!! Cannot get them to answer the phone and never return our call! The other was set up to be at Camping World last Thursday at 9 AM and the corporate office called at 6:30 Wednesday night and cancelled because they closed that location! Samsung will not stand behind the crappy refrigerators they make! Why is anyone still selling this crap? Fleetwood says it is a Samsung warranty problem, Samsung says it is out of warranty although they never resolved the issue when it was under warranty and none of the authorized service centers will work on Samsung!! Camping World is no help! And our Good Sam extended warranty says it was a pre-existing problem! We are tired of living out of a cooler when we camp! We are frustrated that no one will claim responsibility for crappy merchandise! Fed up! I cant add pictures or any information because our RV is at Camping World waiting for a solution!

Unbelievable how the finish deteriorated with minimal and extremely careful use and meticulous care. It is destroyed in a few months. It warrants them replacing it. Stay away from Samsung electric glass top ranges. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. I do have an extended warranty so if anything covered goes wrong they will get it back.

Purchased a fridge in August and the door has a chime that goes off all day long. Called Samsung and they have sent a tech to my house 8 TIMES. And the fridge is still defective. Every time I call they want to send a tech to my house again instead of replacing the unit. Customer service with SAMSUNG is TERRIBLE. HORRIBLE.

My first dishwasher broke 4 months after it was installed. I spent 3 months waiting for it to get fixed or replaced. Samsung finally replaced it after they said they couldnt get the parts to fix it. 6 months after the new one was installed it broke and Samsung said that the warranty was over on the dishwasher but they would send a repair shop over to look at it at my cost. I would highly recommend that you stay away from Samsung dishwashers.

We purchased a very expensive/nice Samsung refrigerator two years ago. Recently we smelled a burning smell and then woke up to find that the entire refrigerator had gone out. The handy dandy electronic panel on the front complete with wifi/music/weather was still working perfectly saying that the fridge was cooling. IT WAS NOT! After, transferring the entire fridge/freezer to multiple coolers on a Sunday we proceeded to call to get a repairman on Monday morning. Well, come to find out not many people can repair these fridges! So, we talked to Samsung customer service who promised to send someone out. A day later, we hear from someone who is coming the next day. Mind you it has now been three days without refrigeration. They finally show up, after we were talked into purchasing a protection plan for another year since ours had expired. After looking at the refrigerator for ten minutes it is decided that the entire compressor is out. They put the fridge right back in place and said they would be in touch. They have to ORDER the compressor (which takes two weeks at least) after they call to get it covered by Samsung. Apparently the compressor is covered for 5 years which means we didnt need to buy the other coverage for $300. I will NEVER buy another Samsung anything and I just want to let everyone else know to steer clear!!!! I hope Samsung will read this and someone up the line at Corporate will take a look at their customer service department!

Samsung 3-Door Refrigerator Ice Maker - We purchased this in 2015. We’re disappointed in the icemaker from the beginning -- it did not make a lot of ice and ran out frequently. Then the icemaker started to freeze up periodically where we were unable to remove the ice storage box. Only by turning off the refrigerator were we able to defrost. On Monday, April 9, we called customer support for advice. I followed the instructions I was given and was assured that there would be a bucket of ice the next day. Wrong. The ice storage had completely defrosted. We noticed later in the day on Tuesday that the refrigerator was no longer cooling the frig or freezer areas. We called again on Tuesday and spoke with another representative who told us to do the same thing as the first. Nothing happened. After 75 minutes with this person, we were advised that we would probably have to replace the ice-making system, not under guarantee. She assured us that during this time, they were having one of their service people identify a local service location to assist. Then we told her that the refrigerator and freezer at least were working before we followed their instructions and shouldnt they be responsible for damaged food and whatever needed to get the frig and freezer working. She said to make an itemized list of the fold that was spoiling, take a picture and show the price. Didnt say they would reimburse, nor did she suggest any responsibility on their part for the problems caused by following the directions on the tech support. At this point, we asked for a supervisor. We were on hold for about an hour and finally hung up. We called again and were able to speak with a tech person who was able to at least get the frig and freezer working. The icemaker appears to be working now, but it will continue to back up and freeze, like it always does. This morning, another tech person called and asked if she could help resolve this over the phone. This was very disappointing, as I was expecting either a call from the local appliance repair place or perhaps the supervisor. This was unbelievable, and of course I was angry about how our problem was being handled. I mentioned that unless a supervisor was willing to call me back (I was no longer willing to wait for someone not to come on the phone), there was no longer a need for conversation. The tech support people were polite. But I will never, never again purchase any Samsung product.

RF266ABPN - Wrote a complaint on here in August 2013 about our Samsung 2-door fridge which kept pooling water and the back inside kept freezing with frost. We spent so much time always removing items, defrosting, scooping out water, etc. etc. UPDATE!! Finally hubby was able to fix problem himself. We have had no problems for 2+ years. He turned off energy saver mode and put paper clips in the drain tubes located at the bottom back of fridge to keep them open. They are used as spacers so probably any similar item would work. We are still not sure if the energy saver turnoff or paper clips did the trick but... after countless repairman and useless Samsung, just wanted to report what worked for us! No problems for 2+ years! I weirdly got a reminder about this review so came here and saw still horrific reviews... Hope this helps at least one person!Updated on 08/11/2018: We officially gave up on this refrigerator and brand in 2016. Our original problem (freezing/icing over) came back in full force, freezing, motoring, water pooling, even after my husband was able to temporarily fix it. Bottomline: We took it to the dump, This model is severely flawed.

I have experienced the same complaint everyone who owns a Samsung microwave seems to have - the SE error code. I contacted Samsung and it took four chat sessions and an angry phone call to have a service person come out. I was told the control panel would be replaced, no charge on epidemic warranty; servicing agency knows nothing about it. I was told I would have to pay for the control box if it needs replacement. It seems like Samsung is well aware of this major problem, but has chosen to do nothing until your unit fails - and it will. Then they horse you around for days to get it serviced. I have lots of Samsung products with no problems, but this microwave has totally destroyed my Samsung vision. It is just an out and out piece of crap. The ventilation system sucks, which I believe is the cause of the SE code because moisture builds up in the control panel. If I have to replace, I guarantee it will not be with another Samsung.

I am a 73 yo Veteran and have had a dishwasher all my life. This Samsung dishwasher (Model #AA3JAG9MC&05835Y) is the worst I have ever owned starting with the dumb design of the dish racks that make your glasses fall over and dished roll when the rack is pulled out or pushed in. The worst problem is that it does not clean the dishes, I have been embarrassed several times when guests poured a drink and then dumped it when they saw the glass was not clean. I wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher and still have to put a lot back in the dishwasher when they come out dirty. Ran the dishwasher twice yesterday and the dishes and glasses still come out dirty. Samsung wants me to spend my money to have their reps come out to fix the problem. Not going to happen, will throw out the Samsung and buy another brand that does what it is supposed to do.Also having problems with my Samsung Grand Prime cell phone. Friends are cursing me for not answering my phone only to find out that the ringer has changed from sound to vibrate or do not disturb WITHOUT my knowledge. Samsung can correct by a simple LOCK function on settings but after numerous calls and requests Samsung did nothing to correct the problem. Solution to my problems: TRASH MY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS AND GET ANOTHER BRAND THAT WORKS.

We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator (model #: RF266AERS) with French doors and Twin Cooling system three years ago. It has been serviced countless times due to ice building up in Twin Cooling system. The fan gets louder and louder and eventually the refrigerator stops working and has to be defrosted for 24 hours. We have lost time, money, and a great deal of food. Purchased a French door, lower freezer Samsung fridge from Lowes in 2009. I have a 25 year old Jenaire fridge in the garage that I have never spent a dime on for repairs. I had had multiple problems with the Samsung fridge, including having to replace the ice maker, some other parts that caused the fridge to stop cooling (about $400.00). The ice maker has always leaked water the first time it is used, causing stains down the front of the door & pooling on top of the freezer door. Now my newest problem is that the door that has the ice maker is rusting through, particularly around the ice maker but also at the bottom. My fear is that the insulation in the door is covered In mold.

We bought the Samsung french door with lower pull out door freezer. We had trouble from the beginning getting it to maintain the correct temperature in the freezer portion of the refrigerator. We purchased the appliance through Home Depot and they sent the approved tech who replaced the digital sensors and panels. Still, the refrigerator did not get down to nor maintain the required temp.We had the repairman out again; they replace more items. We removed the ice maker altogether and no difference ensued. My husband went back to Home Depot yesterday asking that they replace this fairly expensive appliance and we were told that since the warranty had run out that they would not be replacing it. What does this mean? If we had not bought the warranty and just had them out over and over would it have forced a replacement? These digital display and sensor units are just not engineered well! We will not ever buy another and are thinking of looking for older refrigerators at vintage repair places. Apparently the idea is to get us used to expecting **, buying warranties and subsidizing the industry! !

My fridge went out on our wedding day (Nov. 2, 2013). It took until Dec 12, 2013 for repairs to be done waiting on part from Samsung. Four and a half weeks later, the fridge went into demo mode again and wouldnt come out of it. Now I am waiting until March 6, 2014 to get repairs done. I understand some of this is because of the scheduling of the extended warranty I bought from the store. I have lost over $900 worth of food and only $400 is being replaced. I have taken off work 4 days now for them to come and look at my fridge or to try and repair it. I contacted Samsung about this and because I didnt purchase the warranty through them and they only offer a year warranty through them when you buy it they wont do anything about all this. A fridge that is less than 2 years old and Samsung doesnt stand behind their product because the extended warranty wasnt bought through them. I wont buy another Samsung product again. Their Customer Service treated me like I was an idiot to boot because they kept repeating the same thing even though I asked why they wouldnt stand behind their product for more than one year and why their product didnt last more than two years. I am disappointed that I spent $3000+ on an item to have to go through all this and lose so much money!

Samsung is fully aware of the defective clips that will break from the top
Samsung is fully aware of the defective clips that will break from the top rack of their dishwasher and the clips get lodged in the pump motor and the dishwasher will not run. Their solution to the guaranteed reoccurring problem is to allow one time only repair outside of warranty and then the consumer is on their own after that. What they should do is proceed with a recall of the part and provide a retrofit or, at the very least, provide unlimited repairs to the consumer. My whole entire house is equipped with Samsung products and I placed my confidence in a company that doesnt back their products. There was simply no help offered or even concern regarding this defect. Simply put, I was told, We know and youve already used your one time allotted repair. BUYERS BEWARE. SAMSUNG DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS, EVEN WHEN THEY KNOW THERE IS A DEFECT. The last repairman that came to my house left replacement parts for me because he knew it would happen again. My Samsung refrigerator had the same icemaker issues the first year & then the refrigerator would only cool to 54 degrees right at the end of year 1. I called an approved service technician who got on the phone with Samsung after examining the unit. It was determined that the refrigerator could not be repaired & would have to be replaced. Apparently Samsung used butane as an alternative to freon in my unit & it is not being successful. Okay -- that was 6 weeks ago! I have been through many phone calls, submitted the required paperwork, & no one has cared that I have not had a fridge for 6 wks! I have been unable to get help from the store where I bought the fridge either. Samsung is mailed me a reimbursement check for the cost of the fridge, minus delivery & tax. I had to throw away $300 worth of food.So because of Samsungs defective refrigerator, I have had to pay for 3 service visits, $300 worth of lost food, & will have to pay tax & delivery fees plus more for a newer model of refrigerator. SERIOUSLY?! Its not my fault & it has cost me about $1,000.00! By the time I get the reimbursement check & buy a new fridge, I will have gone 8 weeks without a fridge! Im a single mom & currently unemployed, so this is especially painful right now. Unfortunately, I also have a Samsung TV, washer & dryer, all of which I have enjoyed, but now sure hope I dont have a problem with! I have NEVER had a company treat me so poorly.

So our Samsung refrigerator that we bought for about $3500 stopped working entirely three weeks after the five year warranty expired. We called them up and told them they should fix it since its like a car thats completely worthless a couple of weeks after the warranty expires. Nobody would ever buy such a car. So they sold us an extended warranty for $345. After sending four different firms out over a month, they concluded that its not worth fixing. So now they decided to refund our $345. To which I said theyre just running a scam. If Samsung sells us the warranty but has no intention to honor it anytime the repair is expensive, what theyre saying it will only sell you warranty if the warranty repairs are less than what you paid us. Otherwise well just borrow your money for free until we give it back. Sounds like its a total fraud. Please contact me if you have purchased a warranty from Samsung and are interested in participating in a class action lawsuit.

In 2013 we purchased a Samsung Refrigerator French door up and down. We paid 2,999.00. First we had the ice bucket replaced twice. This took several months each time to get a service order number. The problem existed. Finally the third repairman told us there was a Freon leak which couldnt be fixed. In March 2015, Samsung finally agreed it was a manufacturing problem and we would be refunded the full amount of our purchase price. I have made well over 50 documented calls to find out when we would receive our check. We have been without a refrigerator for over three months. Each time I call, I speak to a different person. I have been told I would receive a satisfaction survey many times which I have never received. We are still waiting for our check which was apparently mailed over a month ago. I purchased my Samsung French Door Refrigerator for Home Depot September 2014. It was running fine until I noticed paint bubbling on the edge of the door. I contacted Samsung September 2015 - it was several days before the anniversary of the refrigerator delivery date. I advised the door with the ice dispenser paint is bubbling along the edge. I sent photos. Samsung declared it cosmetic damage. I was not satisfied. They said to have a tech come out and inspect. Budget Appliance came out and said, yes the door was defective. They suggested a replacement of the unit as they believed it was not sound. Samsung refused. I contacted Better Business Bureau. After BBB contacted Samsung they agreed to pay for replacement parts and I the cost of labor. Another technician came out on March 1, 2016 and said yes the door needed to be replaced. I received a new door on March 16 and I refused it because it was black. I have spent countless hours trying to resolve this issue and Samsung could have resolved the issue promptly with either a new refrigerator or door. Now according to the parts department it may take up to 8 weeks to get the replacement door in white. It will be May 2016 before this is even close to being taken care of. Samsung expects me to pay almost $300 in labor because of the faulty design. Do not buy Samsung appliances. Their customer service is rude and their service company they use is in Bogota, Columbia. They took over 4 days to track the wrong part that was ordered.

Last Thursday, I set the oven to 375 degrees and when it was at temperature
Last Thursday, I set the oven to 375 degrees and when it was at temperature, put chicken in to cook for dinner. About 10 minutes later, we heard a loud pop and smoke began to pour out of the back of the control panel. Then flames appeared. We turned off the house circuit breaker and used a fire extinguisher to douse the flames. The oven door locked as though it was on self-cleaning mode. We waited until the appliance had completely cooled and removed the back of it to see where the fire had occurred. It was clearly a short in the wiring that caused the fire.If we had not been close by to hear and see the fire as it started, it could have easily spread. As it was, the house was filled with acrid smoke, and 3 days later, there is a lingering bad odour from the fire. All we lost was about $40 worth of chicken and the stove itself - we had to pry the oven door open to remove the uncooked meat, because we were afraid to plug the stove back in to see if the door would release on its own. We have three children, one of whom is a 7 month old baby, and my senior citizen parents were visiting - we are lucky that no one was injured, and that the kitchen and the rest of the house suffered no real damage. All of us have breathing problems due to asthma and allergies, and we all had headaches, sore throats, and irritated sinuses from the smoke. We are extremely upset at the dangerous situation that occurred. It was clearly the result of shoddy design and a cheaply constructed product. My husband paid $1400 for this stove five years ago when he was living alone. He barely used the appliance until September 2012 when I moved in with my two children. Since then, we have used it every day for typical cooking. We should be able to expect a stove to endure regular use for more than 3 years without any issue, especially given the initial price paid. We should be able to expect a certain standard of safety, where a household appliance should not light on fire without warning, putting life and property at risk.Since January this year, the two front elements on the stove top have malfunctioned. It is not possible to control the temperature setting on these elements - they are either off or on high. This is likely attributable to a short circuit in the wiring as well (one that did not result in a fire) since the problem occurred suddenly. In retrospect, the malfunctioning elements were clearly a sign that the appliance was dangerously flawed. We have emailed Samsung to request compensation for the loss of our appliance, and for the fact that it caused a fire that endangered our family and our home. We would like Samsung to take responsibility for funding a replacement appliance, since it is obviously the fault of the design and construction of this stove that it malfunctioned, in the amount of $1400. We will not accept a repair, since the appliance is now unusable, nor will we accept a replacement Samsung stove, since we could never trust it. We would like Samsung to be held accountable for the shoddy household range it produced.I have reported the incident to the Canadian Standards Association to complain about their alleged inspection and endorsement of this inferior and dangerous product, but according to the website, they will not publicly report on any findings if they investigate my claim because of confidentiality concerns. I interpret that to mean that they are protecting manufacturers rather than consumers. In the past, we have also owned a Samsung dryer, which we replaced in January 2015 due to a similar break-down. The dryer stopped heating up after only 3 years of regular use - we assumed it was due to the element burning out, but did not investigate further.

I bought this piece of junk Oct. 2017 at Home Depot for over $1200.00 with the no customer service protection plan through Asurion. This was what we thought was a beautiful sleek side by side that would last at least 10 years. We arent rich people so this was our first side by side. The thing started making a terrible racket a few days ago and just gets worse. It apparently has a design flaw that causes ice to build up around the fan which leads to an expensive failure. After 2 days of around 12 calls to Asurion I have to wait 3 weeks for a repair. They initially set me up with a rude fly by night jerk, but hes not coming so I have to wait three weeks now for a different repair place. Nobody wants to work on Samsung appliances. You call someone in whos not factory authorized there goes the warranty. Since weve been put in this position, were forced to spend money we dont have on another refrigerator. Try finding a refrigerator during a Pandemic while riots are taking place. It seems impossible but we must have a refrigerator. The cheapest we can find is an apartment size for almost $400.00. We cant afford this & Im sure Asurion wont reimburse us for the money we have to spend for a back up fridge.

This is ongoing problem since more than one month. I called Trail Appliances technician. First visit the technician said “problem with your filter” – totally wrong diagnosis. Second time the technician came he tried for 1 hr – no clue and he said will come again. Third time he came and he thinks it might be control panel (but he is not sure). When I talk to manager he said max the part cost will be $250 and they ordered the part even without my concern. Now parts came to their branch and was waiting for their call. When no call came I called them and they said we called on May 20/2016. No one has replied. Was just wrong. Now the part value is $500. Almost doubles. The customer service is very unprofessional from Trail Appliances. I feel like they are looting. With this problem there was a flooding on my floor and the wooden floor get damaged. Ceiling in basement also get damaged and estimated expense of $15000 for this faulty Samsung French door refrigerator and the technician they dont have a clue whats wrong. Talk to Samsung but they are also not cooperative and the worst service I have received from Samsung and Trail Appliances. Not sure what to do next. Any comments from these affairs guys?

We purchased a 3 door Samsung refrigerator Jan, 4 2016. The ice maker drips water through the ice dispenser and several times ice has lodged in the maker preventing new ice to drop and consequently build up ice. The repairman says this is a common complaint and we can either replace the ice maker ($500), shut the entire refrigerator down for 48 hours to let everything thaw or use a hair dryer to try to help the thawing process. He says it is an engineering flaw involving the air flow. Of course once you melt the ice it will happen again. I paid $3000 for this appliance and based on the amount of bad reviews I just now read regarding Samsung refrigerators, Samsung should for pay for this consistent problem to be repaired.

We purchased a Samsung gas range in November and within 5 months they have been out to 3 times to make repairs. Once to fix the knobs and the control within a few weeks of purchase and twice now to replace the actual metal surface on top as the area around the griddle burner splits. The paint on the grates is lousy and comes off with every pot. The flame on the burners is very high even on simmer but the flame on the griddle burner in very low even on high. The oven doesnt work much better seems like the regular bake isnt hot enough and I usually have to add time to baked good. I dont think I would purchase another Samsung appliance.

Our Samsung microwave SMH1816B is 3 years old and handle broke. No problems before broken handle. Our previous GE microwave lasted 19 years without any malfunctions. We went online to purchase new handle and get info on how to replace. Fortunately we found Consumer Affairs website and the horrible reviews of Samsung microwaves. We decided not to spend $30 on new handle. $1 tube of Super Glue seems to be working just fine! Thanks for all the consumer reviews. It certainly made our decision very easy.

We purchased a Samsung french door bottom freezer refrigerator model RF197ACWP on May 27, 2014. The ice maker worked great for first TEN days, then quit. Called Samsung, they told us to try the reset button. We did, waited 24 hrs, no ice. Called back, they said they will have a repairman call. Still waiting for the call (in all fairness it has only been 24 hours). Looked at reviews for this model, found that the general consensus is that it is a design flaw that cannot be fixed. Best Buy will allow me to exchange it within 15 days. I am on day 14, so am going to exchange it for a Whirlpool and hope I have better luck. At least Whirlpool parts should be easier to get if there is a problem, since it is an American product.

Samsung microwave SMH9187 - As others describe, the microwave started to beep and the -SE- error code appears. This signifies a display panel issue. Some have had success disconnecting power source for ~15 seconds. Others had success by simultaneously holding the stop/clear and enter/start buttons for 20 seconds. Someone else recommended disconnecting the display panel. This is easy. It is easy to remove the plugs and on my model, only the two white and blue plugs at the bottom could be incorrectly swapped but the blue plug connection has the word blue clearly shown. I had disassembled and am trying to use fans to remove moisture. This malfunction occurred after a nearly two inch rainstorm, so there might be some moisture causing the failure. Samsung said they would extend the parts warranty even though I am outside the 1 year warranty, so I would need to pay for a serviceman. If it is just the display panel and if I can get the part for no cost, this is an easy install.

This is the third time in less than 2 years that we have had to order replacement parts for what we thought was a fantastic product. First in 13 months after purchase the left vegetable drawer had to be replaced because a piece broke off, then 6 months later one of the door bins on the right refrigerator door cracked and broke. Today I have ordered hinges for both the left and right vegetable drawers which have cracked pieces. We are 2 senior citizens and do not abuse our refrigerator or have an overabundance of food in the drawers but I will NEVER buy another one of your products. They are cheaply made and I might add quite expensive.

Shortly after that, large chunks of flat ice began falling on the floor. After a little investigation, it was discovered ice was building up on the bottom of the freezer door and continues to be a problem. We have to defrost every 2 months or so.

I am having problems with the oven temperature in my brand new Samsung gas range purchased less than a month ago. When the preheat feature arrives at 350 degrees, it is not that hot in the oven. I have placed an oven thermometer in my oven because of the uneven temperatures and untrue displayed temperatures. When I called the Samsung phone number, the tech told me how to adjust or as he called it recalibrate the temperature. I did try this, however, It still appears that it takes 20 minutes or longer to reach the required temperature. In my previous 30-year-old gas range, the temperature reached the requirement in ten minutes. After reading the comments on this site (I wish I had known about it before purchasing my Samsung gas range), I would have chosen another brand. Now, I am afraid to even try the self cleaning feature.

We have had nothing but problems with our Samsung refrigerator model RF24J996054. We have to defrost the ice maker at least every other week. The ice is soft, and gets stuck when dispensing. Further, the bin to store ice, does not hold enough ice to make it worthwhile. We are thankful that we have our old Jenn-Air in the garage. It is a workhorse. It is sad after spending sooo much money on a new refrigerator, we are traveling back and forth to the garage to get ice. We are in the middle of yet another repair, and have been waiting over two months for the part. I called today, again, and am being told that the part is not available. Really? So now what do we do? Samsung makes a poorly executed product, then doesnt have the parts to fix it? I will never buy another Samsung product again, and would not recommend Samsung to anyone. They dont even deserve the one star.

I asked him for the contact number of Samsung Jeddahs main dealer, but he told me, “If anything goes wrong with your appliances, it is just your bad luck and we cant help you.” So I called one refrigeration engineer at my own expense and he diagnosed that the problem lies in the motherboard unit and my refrigerator is non-repairable.Everyone knows how hot the weather is in Saudi Arabia and the pain I suffered because this world class brand is really awful. The Samsung French doors, freezer on bottom refrigerator sometimes keeps things cold, and sometimes doesnt. The temperature read-out always, always says 37 degrees F, but thats not true. The compressor overheats causing ice build-up in the vents, causing the temperature to rise even though it still says 37 degrees! Food must be removed and the fridge thawed. This has happened multiple times over the course of three years! This is not just a one in a million lemon. This is a DEFECT that others have experienced, and Samsung is aware of it. On May 12, 2016 my Samsung side-by-side refrigerator (model RSG257AAWP) that I purchased on April 14, 2012 stopped cooling. It has been an absolute nightmare trying to work with Samsung to have someone come out to diagnose the problem. It is now May 23, 2016 and I am still calling Samsung trying to find resolution. I was assigned to a repair service (Home Service Network) on May 14th. On May 16th they informed me that they dont have any technicians that could work on my refrigerator. I called Samsung back and my ticket was reassigned to another repair service (Priceless Appliance Services). I was told that companies are to respond in 1-2 business days. I waited. Nothing! I called Samsung again. My ticket was reassigned again (Mr. Appliance of Central Maryland) and again I did not receive a call from this service repair company. When I called Samsung once more, today May 23rd, my ticket is showing that its assigned to Priceless and not even the last company that I was given so it appears that my ticket was not even reassigned. Now Im starting to think that the Samsung warranty policy is a sham. If they refer a customers ticket to enough non-responsive repair companies, at some point, especially with such an essential appliance as a refrigerator, the customer will become totally frustrated and seek to resolve the issue with a non Samsung repair service. This deems your appliance out of warranty even if you only have someone diagnose but not fix the product that you have so desperately tried to seek help for from Samsung. BE AWARE! BE CAUTIOUS! Its probably best to NEVER, EVER purchase Samsung appliances. In the future, I will only purchase appliances made in the USA.

I bought a 25 cu ft and 28 cu ft Samsung RF25/28HMEDBSR 4 door refrigerators at the same time. The 28 cu ft died and couldn’t be repaired in 18 months. The 25 cu ft [same model] quit working in 4 years 4 months. The repair lasted just under 10 months. Samsung told me too bad, the warranty is up after having me send them copies of sales slips, etc. and string me along for about 4 weeks saying they were ‘looking into it’. They know they have a defect in this model, agreed they should have lasted 5 years, but, nothing they could do about it. These were the top of the line and I had over $5000 in 2 pieces of scrap and now again have food loss and another repair bill. With $2500, in this one alone [got my money back for the 28 cu ft because of store warranty] I can’t just junk it. Know whatever you read about their 4 French Door models, the chances are it won’t last more than 5 years at best and if you had a store warranty, it would be gone and Samsung will NOT do anything for you. It was rated at the top when I purchased them. A repairman told me this was a frequent problem with Samsung Refrigerators and I certainly wasn’t the only one.

We bought our 1st Samsung side-by-side fridge in late-2006. Just after the 1-yr warranty expired, the twin cooling system froze in the refrigerator side. Recommended appliance repairman literally took a knife to chip ice off of the equipment. Had to call a 2nd repairman who completed it but discovered the touch screen didnt work properly (again not covered by warranty). In 2014, bought a 2nd Samsung (4-door model). Had problem with touch screen but when repairman came, couldnt duplicate problem. Of course, after warranty expired, housing for water filter started leaving debris (white substance) in the filter & ice & water stopped. Repairman said housing was a faulty design & Samsung was working to correct the design. Then he said the touch screen wasnt working either. After repeated calls to Samsung by me, the repairman & even my husband, the final conclusion from the manager was that they didnt have a record of the touch screen malfunctioning prior to warranty ending! So, like our 1st fridge (which we moved downstairs), we opted not to repair the touchscreen but did pay to replace the housing. This week I had repairman out for both fridges with identical problems as before. When filter housing was changed out in Sept-2015, it had not been redesigned. So... now $325 cost to repair housing & at least have confirmation it will be with redesigned part. Still leaving compromised touchscreen untouched. Cost to replace damaged parts on downstairs fridge = $505!Now if I wasnt smart enough to learn my lesson, when our washer went out we read consumer reports that highly recommended the Samsung appliances. Purchased them, immediately had problems - fought with Samsung for weeks and finally went to Lowes to let them know that their reputation was at stake because they sell Samsung products. Lowes went above and beyond and graciously took care of my problems with my dryer. Since that time I have received a recall about the problem with the washer. Sorry for this long. Review but Ive had more experience than I would like with Samsung and I do not believe in the quality nor their integrity. My advice to you - dont buy Samsung!

So we proceeded to take the stuff from the cupboards out to check, nothing and I still hear the noise. So Im home alone at this point and decided to get my shoes on and run and prepare for the mouse as I pull out the stove. As I pull out the stove and look behind I see sparks and a little bit of smoke. Its my STOVE SPARKING Not a mouse. The sparks were coming right from the cord. How scary I almost was electrocuted or could have lost my house in a fire. Now my house is built in 2006 so wiring is new. The sparks were coming from the stove not my wall outlet... The stove is the Samsung Chef Collection ne58h9970ws. Was only purchased September 15, 2016. Not even a year old. Its all under warranty but dealing with Samsung has been nothing but a nightmare. Long story short they said they will contact me back within 48 hours. Ugh... Samsung Chef Collection ne58h9970ws.

Purchased Samsung Oven (flex), Washer, Dryer, and Dishwasher. 11/24/2017. Washer completely died last March - unable to fix, wiring harness issue. This week Oven has taken on a life of its own - no matter what you push (including warming drawer) the broiler comes on. You’ll get a C21 overheat warning and door locks. Customer Service gave me the number of a phone repair company to call for repairs. I can promise you I will never purchase anything in future with Samsung on it - absolutely no quality.

My 3-year old refrigerator (Samsung rsg257aars) stops making ice every 3-4 weeks. I have to empty the ice bin because ice is frozen together, then I have to run the blow dryer on the ice maker to thaw it so it will begin making ice again. There is obviously a bigger problem with this machine but I dont know what it is. I have tried for 2 years to get Samsung to fix this for the thousands of folks who purchased this lemon to no avail. Samsung is not going to stand behind this product, so I will no longer be a Samsung consumer!

We bought all of the appliances for the kitchen (refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave) less than 5 years ago, and thoroughly regret going with Samsung. So many of the products have broken. The refrigerator was repaired less than two years ago, and the same problem is happening again. Our dishwasher broke a few months ago, and we had to repair it as well. Both repairs were almost $500 EACH! We have broken drawers, shelves, knobs. I can go on and on with the issues we’ve had with these appliances as well as with Samsung the company, but the easiest thing to say (and most useful from this review) is to save your money and go with a quality company that specializes in kitchen appliances, not electronics.

I was looking for a specific dimension and appearance including water/ice dispenser, but flexible on price. I have a house built in the 1970s, so my kitchen layout is unusual by todays standards. I found a Samsung side-by-side that fit the size requirement and also had large freezer space and water/ice dispenser. After getting it installed, I had a problem for a while with the refrigerator side and water filter getting below freezing, but then I realized I had a plastic container blocking the vent inside the fridge, and its no longer a problem.

I bought a Samsung side by side frig 8/2013 and it started having serious problems within 9 months! The first time it went completely out was right around Labor Day & we had people coming over. I had over $1,000.00 worth of food in the fridge when the fridge section 1st froze over then quit completely. I lost everything! Now its Thanksgiving eve and when we arrived home, it was 52 in the frig! I first got out a new gallon of milk, opened it and it was spoiled, all 3 were. I hate Samsung!!!! Its the worst fridge I have EVER had! I have lost everything for tomorrow, its all turned bad now. I am horrified. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG!!!

Worst product we ever purchased. Still under warranty, 3 years old, ice maker went out during the holidays, one month later freezer went out. Called Samsung they asked for all our paperwork and purchase receipt. I sent it all and the response was that it was not clear enough to read. They suggested I call repair. Did not tell me it had to be a repair service that was contracted with them. Closest one is 1 1/2 hours away. I called local and while he was at our house he called Samsung Tech service and was told it was our compressor and that it was still under warranty. Serviceman did not fix as his company is not contracted with them so they would not get paid. Said he would fix it if I paid the $650.00 up front and worked with Samsung to be reimbursed. I called Samsung they told me they would not reimburse because it was not their contracted serviceman. They contacted their serviceman and he canceled on me saying his guy had the flu, but he sent in a report stating it was not the compressor. How he knew that without coming and looking at it Ill never understand. Samsung refused to pay or help in any way. The only good thing was I called Lowes and told them I was returning it talked with manager of store. He was amazing. Told me to go online and pick out a new fridge and they would replace it. Which they did. With a brand new FRIGIDAIRE! We will never buy Samsung appliance again!!

After 13 months and 1 month after the warranty expired. I called Samsung Appliances and reported that I had a software glitch. After the unit finishes a cooking cycle the LED Panel clears itself out, wipes out the memory settings including the clock and takes 5 to 10 retries to reset it. I purchased this at Sears along with other Samsung products including a top of the line SS side by side Fridge etc. This microwave is a top of the line over the stove SS model #ME21F707MJT/AC manufactured date March 2016. Samsung position is too bad. Out of warranty you pay for our bad software design and motherboard. They will not confirm if this is an isolated or general issue with this machine. Stay away from Samsung. They dont care. From this day forward I will never purchase another Samsung Appliance including the Galaxy Phone. My S7 which is ready to be replaced, also my pending purchase of a 4K OHLED large panel TV will not include Samsung. Going back to SONY. They are a bunch of ** and Issac the telephone rep apologized for my problems but that is all he can do. Youre on your own. I strongly stay away from Samsung. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE CRAP THAT THEY ARE PUTTING ON THE MARKET AND DONT BACK THEIR PRODUCTS UP!

I purchased a Samsung microwave model # SMH 9151S 1 year and 5 months ago. The unit has abruptly failed. The unit will not power on, nothing responds. I contacted Samsung and faxed them all of my purchase information. Samsung contacted me to say (what I had feared) that it was beyond the 1-yr. warranty and they would contact a repair person to come and diagnose the problem. I would have to cover all of the expense. Many consumers are in the same boat. We can either pay for a repair that will often exceed the value of the unit or buy a new unit.

The refrigerator temperature goes up and makes the food unsafe and some end up leaking on the floor. The new ones with the display even caught fire. Mine broke 3 months after I bought it. The first time. I just had the ice maker parts replaced again. They still not have not found a repair for it that actually works. Purchased a Samsung French door black stainless steel refrigerator on Sunday (8/5/2018). From the moment we plugged it in the display flashes an PC ER code. After some searching online found a fix for it that didn’t fix it (shocker) so Monday morning called Samsung to schedule a service, because I really wasn’t trying to load it back and return to store although in hindsight should’ve done that, tech arrived Tuesday and did the same thing I had already done to try and resolve the problem which I explained to the customer service representatives I spoke with when making the service appointment. One would think since the refrigerator model and serial number plus the problem was told to the representatives the tech they send out would come prepared with what would be needed to fix it... sadly not the case. So 2 days after purchase and a service visit I’m stuck waiting an additional 2-3 for the part that should (but not completely sure) fix the issue. I’ll be calling customer service to cancel everything and just load the piece of junk back up and return it and spend a little more for a more reliable brand. I will definitely not be purchasing any other Samsung home appliances. If you like the hassle of purchasing something and not having it work properly by all means spend the money on Samsung appliances and enjoy the stress and hassle of having to go through a service call on a new product.

I spent over $2500 for a new Samsung counter depth refrigerator in mid 2015
I spent over $2500 for a new Samsung counter depth refrigerator in mid 2015 after I remodel my kitchen. It works fine for about 1 1/2 year. After 1 1/2 year, I started to have problems. A year ago the freezer will not go down to the temperature I set. Even I set it to minor 8 degree F, it only went down 15 degree F. I was advised by some website to reset the refrigerator by turning off the power overnight. I did and it worked again. Six months ago, no ice came out from the ice maker. I open the ice maker and found it completely frozen. I turned the power off and blow some warm air to melt the ice. After I removed the ice, it worked again.A couple weeks ago, the freezer warmed up again. This time, I know resetting the refrigerator can only solve the problem for a few months so I called Samsung service center. A technical came, open the freezer and spent half an hours checking. He told me that defrost sensor went bad and the ice built up blocking the cold air from entering the freezer. Also the cover needed to be replaced. I ask him if the repair will take care of the ice maker frozen problem. He told me that it is a different problem and many people have the same problem due to design issue and Samsung offered to repair it free even warranty expired. I called Samsung but with no luck, Samsung refused to have it fixed. Repairing the ice maker will cost another $400.The technician left and 2 days later, another technician came with the parts. He did some more checking and told me that the cover did not need to be replaced but the control board did not send power to the heater. Unfortunately, the previous technician did not check the control board so he need to order the control board and will come back later. He told me that I should purchase extended warranty. I went to online chat with Samsungs Chat site and was told that I can purchase extend warranty even the refrigerator warranty expired. The gentlemen even told me that the I should get some discount for the current repair if I elected to purchase extended warranty. He gave me the number to call.I called Samsung extended warranty department and found out that extend warranty cost $550 a year and will be effective 30 days after all repairs were done and I needed to show them receipts of all repairs. There will be no discount to current repair either. I was surprised that extended warranty cost $550/year for a refrigerator. The conclusion was the refrigerator will experience problems very often, maybe an average of once a year because average repair cost will be 4 to 5 hundred dollar each time. This policy tells us to expect Samsung refrigerator to be repaired once a year. This morning, I found out that the water dispenser at the refrigerator started leaking. Oh boy, another problem I have to deal with. I did a quick estimate. It will cost me about $1450 to have everything repaired and spend $550 for a one year extended warranty. That is $2000. Should I buy a new one instead. My last refrigerator was a 20 years old GE. It is still in the garage working fine. The other one was a 35 years old Whirlpool. I gave it away when I purchased the Samsung. My GE and Whirlpool gave me a combined 55 years of trouble free service while the Samsung gave me 3 problems in 2 1/2 years.

I purchased a Samsung Conventional Oven from Best Buy in August 2011. The stove worked great until now. I was preheating the oven to bake lasagna and could smell burning plastic. I looked in the oven to make sure there was nothing burning inside and there was nothing. As I closed the door and stepped back, sparks started shooting out of the stove top and smoke was everywhere. I had my two month old son and my three dogs with me in the kitchen. Luckily none of them were injured. The ash from the blowout was all over my kitchen. The breaker blew (thank god) and I immediately unplugged the stove. I could not see an obvious signs of a problem until I really looked at the back of the stove. Where the plug is connected was covered in black ash. I removed the panel to find that the area where the plug connects was completely melted.I have had this stove for almost four years now. THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED!! Im still scared to death that this could have caused a house fire or an injury to my son, myself or my dogs. I will be contacting Samsung to see what can be done. I have read horror stories about their customer support but I have my receipt and pictures to back me. This is UNACCEPTABLE!

After that didnt work, we had it replaced under warranty. Well, replacing the same defective ice maker didnt work either. After contacting Samsung to see if they could help, we were asked to PAY for another ice maker and service visit because our warranty had run out. DO NOT BUY FROM SAMSUNG. What a horrible piece of crap from a reliability perspective. Love the design and layout but... The icemaker starting leaking water, the fridge is 18 months old and I know it is out of warranty so I called a repairman (a trusted friend). He came to the house and said oh yeah I service Samsungs for this issue all the time, at least 5 or so a week. The icemaker and the auger unit needed to be replaced, $755, WHAT almost half the price I paid for the fridge itself. I looked online and the parts are over $400 at the cheapest place. I called Samsung and they said it is out of warranty and would not do anything to make me happy. I would call this a defect if the component is failing in less than 2 years, which according to my buddy he sees all of the time but what does Samsung care they are making a killing on repair parts on fridges that are less than 2 years old. I will never buy another product from this company and I suggest you dont either, complete junk.

RF267AEPN French Door Samsung Refrigerator - Nice looking junk! Expensive and poorly made, and Samsung knows it. They should be ashamed. I bought mine from Sears in 2010. Two days ago, I noticed that food in the fridge portion seemed to be spoiling far too fast. Some of the produce and lunch meats needed to be thrown out after only being purchased four days prior. Then today it sounded like the fridge fan was banging against something. I checked the temperature gauges and was shocked to find the fridge was at 53 degrees, even though it was set to 38. The freezer was fine. Set for -2, and maintaining -2. Then I realized I had a pile of water under the Cool Select Drawer. After cleaning that mess up, I wondered if maybe the water filter had anything to do with it. Since it was time to change it anyway, I started to take out the shelf under the water filter, and found I could not get the shelf out because it was frozen in place. Then I noticed that the entire strip that runs down the center back of the fridge for purposes of shelf height adjustment was completely filled with ice. I could not believe I was seeing this sort of thing on a refrigerator that is only 3 1/2 years old. So I started researching to see if anyone else has had this problem with these refrigerators and found this site (along with reviews on vendor sites), and found that a class action lawsuit was filed in 2010, and appears to be ongoing. One of the main law firms representing plaintiffs appears to be Cohen, Placitella & Roth, so I will be contacting them to see if it is possible to add more people. Companies should not be allowed to get away with making such inferior product. People simply cannot afford to be replacing major appliances every three years!!
