We bought a Samsung over the range microwave and paid nearly $500 for it. It worked well for a couple of years and then all of the sudden started turning on by itself. Not just the light or the turntable, but it was actually heating as well! Thankfully we were home when it started happening so we were able to prevent what Im sure would have been a major fire. Checked Samsung support site and apparently this is a known and rather common problem with their microwaves, with the only apparent fix being unplug the unit immediately and pay for someone (from your own pocket) to come and fix it. Unfortunately companies as large as Samsung have no interest in dealing with issues like this until someone dies, so recommend NOT buying a Samsung microwave unless you have fire insurance and are hardly ever home.

SAMSUNG DMT800RHB - Multiple repairs from initial start-up. Substandard materials failing prematurely with insurance related home repairs that should fall upon manufacturer defect in engineering. Samsung knew they had engineered failures into this product so to eliminate defect they had safeguards like leak sensors built in. If you have one of these appliances out of warranty I would suggest cutting your losses and buying a different brand. Do not follow Consumers Digest, this was the consumers best buy, top of their reports at the time. If Samsung dishwasher stock is high its not because of quality, but ripping off the consumers.

Purchased a Samsung from Home Depot April 14. I call Samsung about every four months for two issues. 1- the refrigerator is growling and making monster noises and 2 - another piece of the inside broke to pieces. Another shelf, drawer etc. cracked, broke or crumbled and has to be secured with flex tape or thrown in the garbage because it is unusable. See pictures. Its completely unbelievable!Hours on the phone with Home Depot (where we bought the additional warranty) and they send us to Samsung & Samsung sends us to National Factory Service for diagnostic and at a cost to us: $85. They heard. They came. They saw. They did nothing. Just head scratches and the words: PARTS OUT OF WARRANTY. When I call Samsung these days, they try to sell me an extended warranty for $129, which doesnt cover the parts. I mean have you ever? Its such a joke! There is a class action lawsuit against Samsung ~ apparently for the icemaker + and, yes, our icemaker gives us non stop issues.

We purchased the Samsung refrigerator with french doors and icemaker in 2015. By 2018 the icemaker was constantly freezing up and had to be thawed, only to be frozen again in 10-14 days. It is now worthless, as the tray will not even fit into the icemaker casing. This is a known issue with this style refrigerator, yet Samsung is doing nothing. The repairs are way too expensive and even after several service calls and attempts to fix it, they still dont work. Do not purchase this style of Samsung refrigerator because you will encounter many problems with it. Maybe not at first, but give it time. Shame on Samsung for selling such a horrible appliance. There are hundreds, if not thousands of complaints on this product. Save yourself some money and headaches and look at another brand.

I dont see model no on it but it is stainless interior and black exterior with electronic buttons. I have been very satisfied but I couldnt give it a 5 because it has some trouble occasionally with heavily soiled dishes and when it dries it leaves water in any surface that is not completely flat. I am tired and fed up! I bought a side by side refrigerator and have no success getting resolution for the ice buildup which is constantly reoccurring in the back of my unit. They have sent the technicians countless times without success. I received a call from Samsung last week to ask me how things were. I told them that it was still doing the same thing after the many visits. Each time a technician showed up, they stated that they were not going to be able to fix the issue but had to initiate the specific instructions for repair before Samsung would provide a voucher or some other method of enabling me to go and get a replacement. When I talk to them the other night they created another case number with instructions. The tech came today, called Samsung and let them know that the refrigerator was not repairable as provided in the instructions. The rep on the phone said, It doesnt work like that. Well you know what else doesnt work like that? Willingly offering a product to the consumer which you know has repetitive like kind issues and failing to prevent a product with well-known and documented faulty design or function to be sold with intent of telling your customer; Im not going to make good on my promise, I really dont care that youre having issues, Im not interested in knowing whether you are happy or not and It doesnt work like that.I have been cooperative and have done everything I have been asked to do by your representatives and this has gone on for 2-1/2 months straight now. It seems clear that you have no intent on standing by your product. I believe your warranty policy is deceptive to say the least. I dont think Im asking too much. I got a problem, and I just want it fixed without further delay. It looks like there are plenty of others who share the same sentiment. I dont want to have to take legal action, please dont make me.

We purchased our Samsung Microwave (SMH1816S) for our kitchen remodel and had it installed in April 2014. The microwave died on 3/30/15, getting the dreaded error code of 5E. We called Samsung (800-726-7864) on 3/30/15. Having read these reviews, we were prepared for the worst, and that is exactly what we got. DENIAL, DENIAL, DENIAL. We were told our warranty no longer existed. Even worse, they told us our Model number and Serial number didnt even come up! They consistently told me they could give me the number of their service center, but that we would have to pay for the repairs. I argued for 45 minutes with ** explaining to her that we would in NO way pay for the repair of a defective product… something that Samsung is FULLY aware, yet continues to deny. She then said she would have the Tech. Dept. call me the next day. No one got back with me so I called back on 4/2/15 and spoke with ** which got me nowhere, so demanded to speak with a Supervisor. I then spoke with ** of Executive Customer Relations. He, again, tried to deny that Samsung has a serious problem with their microwaves. I cited the over 300 complaints on Consumer Affairs. After 45 minutes of arguing, he finally relented and said they would send a repair tech out at no cost but that the only part they would cover would be the control panel as this is the part that seemed to be the cause of our complaint based upon our error code. Today, 4/10/15, the repairman came out and replaced the control panel. And, not surprisingly, the microwave is still dead! He claimed it must be the main board that needs replacing as the new control panel did not solve the problem. As he only brought a new control panel, he said he would send in our repair results and that someone would contact me. I asked him what a new main board would run and he said he had no idea what the cost of parts ran as only the Joplin, MO. office would know.At this point, I am totally disgusted with Samsung. Seems to me that if it is not the control panel, then it is something else. Bottom line is these microwaves are crap and whats more frustrating is that Samsung is fully aware of it, yet will not take appropriate action… such as recall them. All I know is that when I am contacted, I am ready to fight once again for this worthless item to be fixed BY Samsung at no cost to us. We have not even used this microwave for 1 year and for it to die on us, is absurd! Would love to hear about anyone elses similar experience with failure of the main board. I can only reiterate what everyone else seems to feel… why has a Class Action Lawsuit not been put in action? I know this is a long standing complaint and is extremely common. Is there not an attorney in the house who has experienced this problem with Samsung Microwaves? I will be the first to sign the petition if the challenge is created. I will write more about our travails once Samsung calls me. And if they fail to do so, I will be calling them! NO ONE SHOULD PUT UP WITH SAMSUNGS DENIAL FOR REPAIR! If you dont get what you want, fight for what is right! It has worked for me thus far. They simply cannot keep denying these claims.Updated on May 5, 2015: This is a continuation of a previous review published 4/10/15. It is vital that every Samsung consumer read this tip. We went through the same agony as everyone in dealing with Samsung and their refusal to acknowledge or assist in the repair of these defective microwaves. We spent hours on the phone with several Samsung employees.. most in the management dept. Each phone call got us the usual response... we can provide you with the number of a service repair company but the cost is up to you. Just so you understand, I do not put up with lies nor do I put up with injustices. I do not let them go. It was not until after I finally demanded to speak with someone in their LEGAL DEPARTMENT that I got any satisfactory response. I was told that the only thing they could give me was the email address for their legal dept. So, I wrote the Legal Dept.. ** on 4/16/15. I expressed my disgust with Samsung and urged them to read the reviews on ConsumerAffairs.com. I pointed out to them that they were completely unethical in their handling of the hundreds (actually probably thousands if you take into account those who just did not write a review on ConsumerAffairs) of complaints as to the dreaded defective microwaves. I warned them that a Class Action Lawsuit seemed to be encouraged by most. On 4/17/15, I received an email from the Legal Dept. (I will not give the name as it seems the names are bleeped out). The email approved the cost of repair for our microwave. We, too, had the common 5E/SE error code. The technician came out on 4/21/15 to make the repair. Turns out we had to have the motherboard replaced (having already replaced the control panel) before the oven worked properly. We do not feel the headaches are over. It seems as if many of these issues arise again after a few months of use. We will not be surprised when/if this happens again. Bottom line, these microwaves need to be recalled or a Class Action Lawsuit should prevail. Samsung is only putting a temporary fix on these defects. Since the Legal Dept. acted as if my complaint was new to them, I can only encourage everyone to write the Legal Dept. of Samsung to voice their complaint and to get appropriate action. Hopefully this helps all of you who are getting nowhere with Samsung.

I needed a specific sized refrigerator for the spot in my kitchen and the look of the 4 door Samsung was great, however, the ice maker stopped working. Eventually I couldnt even open the ice maker container. Once that occurred the freezing did as well, so the venting in the back of the refrigerator froze over and made a sound like a percolating coffee pot. Had to get a repairman to come and fix. I googled the issue, which it appears to be an issue with the Samsung design of their ice makers some refrigerators have ice gathering under the drawers, the temp shown on the door is NOT what is actually going on inside the refrigerator. Samsung has their American call center Alorica calling themselves the Office of the President. When you ask them for their manager they will put you on hold then come back on the line attempting to change their voice saying they are the manager. Good stuff, they will do anything not to give you any repairs. Even finding their own documentation stating the ice maker design is the reason for the issues and they will not help. I will never ever buy another Samsung product and I think Consumer Reports leads people astray stating its a great appliance. How long are you testing these products?

Had it only 2 years and its already broken. It stopped cooling the refrigerator side. Stays at about 60 degrees. The error code stated the fan had an issue. Sure enough it was iced up. Called a tech to take a look. He said at first the issue was with the drain. Since the water wasnt draining then everything would ice up. He said he fixed that, and later it iced up again. Then the issue was with Freon leaking.

Now the ice maker has failed and consumer service fix (reset button) did not work. Dishwasher does not clean well even with pre-rinse and accumulates sludge under door. No more Samsung products for me!Updated on 12/28/2015: We found only two appliance technicians in our area who would work on a Samsung; one had to come 70 mi. one-way, and the other was Sears. The Sears technician quoted a price of nearly $900 to repair these two problems. We also bought a matching Samsung dishwasher, and although it works, it doesnt clean well, and the door gasket collects food debris and stinks. Since both are out of the warranty period, Samsung wont do anything. I will, though: Ill never buy a Samsung product again.

Samsung RS265TDBP broken 2 different ways in 2 years - On the surface, this is a great refrigerator. Its pretty, its very quiet, its energy efficient and the ice maker fits nicely in the door, giving you more useful space in the freezer.Unfortunately, despite the price tag, its of very inferior quality (and I’ve seen more of the insides of this fridge than I’ve ever wanted to). The ice maker broke just before the 2-year mark (about $80 to buy a new one and install it yourself, although stores have trouble keeping them in stock, they break so fast) and not long after I got that done, the fridge starts making ugly noises, and then gets warm, above 55 degrees (freezer is still ice cold). I took the refrigerator cooling unit apart and removed huge chunks of ice to get it going again. But the refrigerator seems to be permanently messed up now (common problem if you Google, Samsung refrigerator not staying cold) and it wont get below about 44 degrees in the fridge.Im abandoning this $1,200 piece of junk after barely 2 years of service and buying a refrigerator from a reputable brand. I cant see spending another dime on it because research (and personal experience) seems to show that if I pay to fix it, it will probably just break again down the line.

We purchased this range 08/2014 after much research and deliberation. The burners are impossible to regulate. First theyre not hot enough, then theyre waaay too hot and your food is burned. Same thing with the oven. You really have to keep an eye on your food. The latest issue came when I used the self cleaning mode. The entire control screen went dark/blank and I couldnt open the door.I called Samsung thinking there must be a quick fix, but NO! They want me to pay for someone to come out and service the appliance even though I did nothing wrong and the product is less than 2 years old!!! Come to find out, others have had similar issues. The ice maker stopped working within a few days after owning the refrigerator. It freezes up requiring the ice maker to be removed and thawed out. This has to be a common problem with this refrigerator as it works for a few days then the problem repeats. I would not recommend buying any item from Samsung as I think they are just interested in ripping people off and not standing by their products. I spent $2200 on a Samsung Refrigerator (model RF4287HAPB). As Im reading, I see the model number doesnt matter - they are all junk. Id like to submit my experience. Today is 9/6/12. I bought my refrigerator on 9/20/11. On 8/20/12, the screen started reading an error code. I called Samsung, who sent out a repair person. The repair person stated it was from the freezer. Its irreparable because the wires where the malfunction occurred are in a non-removable part of the unit, and therefore, the code is permanently affixed. I cannot operate what temperature setting, or whether I want cubed or crushed ice.In other words, once a part goes, it affects the whole unit. My part was a freezer sensor affixed with small plastic clips (which a consumer would not know since its not easily seen). Somehow, it became dislodged and the wires were cut, thus, making the unit irreparable. My spouse is an engineer who has designed some items that most people are aware of and rely on a daily basis. I explained the design to him and his comments were that this was a highly flawed design and structure. The refrigerator is under warranty, still. I am replacing it with a better model (i.e., not Samsung). I purchased the unit at Sears and they are replacing it with the cost of a new refrigerator, as to what I paid for the original unit. Im glad I purchased there since it appears that Lowes and Home Depot do not honor their customers. I can purchase another brand and not Samsung. I wish I had done my homework before I made this purchase. Additionally, Id like to add, there is no way to effectively clean the shelves and side doors since it has a multitude of parts and they do not come apart. So, it allows bacterial growth from water and spills. I have kept this refrigerator clean and I dont have that problem. But I can see how it would occur since there are cracks and crevices that water and spills can seep and there is no way to effectively dry them since its impossible to get any apparatus down there, or you risk breaking it all together.

We replaced all of our kitchen appliances (Refrigerator, dishwasher, gas range, microwave) with Samsung appliances in Dec 2016. We reviewed the CR book and thought we picked a good one. Should have looked on here first. The ice maker froze up on Christmas Eve and then again in mid-January. We bought the 28 cu ft french door with bottom freezer. The ice maker is inside the refrigerator. The water leaks down behind the ice bucket and freezes around the mechanisms. It wont dispense ice and makes a loud knocking noise. The ice bucket is also nearly impossible to get out when this happens. We called Samsung for support and all 3 (yes 3) calls were handled horribly. They dont support their products or have a care in the world about providing customer service. The only way to resolve the issue... remove everything from the freezer and refrigerator and defrost it. This appears to be an ongoing issue and I am not looking forward to owning this refrigerator for the years I expected to. I understand appliances sometimes have issues and my 1-star rating of the appliance is largely geared towards the awful customer service provided by Samsung. This is an expensive item that I ensured had a warranty when I purchased it. I expect it to work and if it doesnt work properly and is under warranty I expect it to be repaired. Buyer beware.

Purchased an appliance package from hhgregg consisting of stove, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. Five months into ownership starting having issues with ice maker on refridge. A&E Factory service responded five times over a year period. Finally confirmed that the refridge was not repairable due to a manufacturer defect in the freezer door frame which was warped and could not seal properly. Spent several months dealing with hhgregg and Samsung Warranty. Samsung finally bought back the refridge at a pro-rated amount. Plus I had to wait five weeks to receive a check from them and do without a fridge because they demanded I cut the electrical cord on the defective one before they would buy it back. Then hhgregg refused to give me a refund on the five year extended warranty for the fridge which I no longer had. Samsung and hhgregg do not stand behind their products or warranties. Now for the last two months the Samsung dishwasher is not trying properly and the delicate light starts flashing at the end of the cycle. Scared to call Samsung and report it. Will never buy Samsung or deal with hhgregg again.

I bought a new Samsung fridge, in April 2011. The door would not close properly, which is my fault. I Installed one of the shelves wrong. In November, 2011, just before Thanksgiving, the food side quit working, spoiling food and milk. I called Sears for repairs, about 5 times, getting the run around each time. Finally, the tech came out, diagnosed the problem, ordered parts, and rescheduled an appointment to repair the fridge. Thats when the problems started. Now, I was told a week later, there were no parts available until December 6th. I raised all kinds of hell with Sears. Finally, I managed to push the right buttons and got the Sears Corporate Offices. I am picking up a new refrigerator today at the store in Pensacola, Fl. It will definitely not be a Samsung. It took about 10 very harassing phone calls, for me to finally get some service. The number to call is 888-266-4043, ext 72. Speak to Sheleatha, she is very helpful.Hopefully, I will be getting a new refrigerator, when I take the letter from the corporate offices to the local store. Will they cooperate? **, I dont know, well see. I have the letter from the corporate offices requesting the local store to replace my refrigerator.

This refrigerator was purchased late April 2015. Since purchasing this product, the upper ice maker has been faulty. It constantly freezes over and does not produce ice. Numerous occasions we have defrosted it and it remedies the problem for approximately 2 to 3 weeks. As of the last week, the refrigerator is making a very loud noise when the doors are shut. Upon doing much research, there are numerous complaints of very similar issues. The customer service reps I talked to on two separate occasions offered me no remedy to this problem other than me paying a service company $100 to come look at my refrigerator plus any cost of parts and repairs. For a $2000 refrigerator from a big brand name company, this response is unacceptable. Thats insane. Im at a point now, where it wont dispense ice, as it is frozen up somewhere inside. Have tried a hairdryer in the past, but this time I am unable to remove the tray. Its stuck!!! As the previous 150 purchasers of the OTC Samsung SMH9187SW Microwave, I purchased mine 12/2011, and it has stopped working 2/2013. Since it is out of warranty, I didnt even bother to contact Samsung because Ive had mine for 26 months and knew that if I wanted a Samsung certified repair person, it would cost more than the original price. I live in the San Francisco Bay area so I found a repairman with 135 5 STAR reviews. I told him my problem and he said he stopped working on microwaves because it was cheaper for customers to replace them. He also said he did not know of anyone that he could honestly recommend. So I found this site and followed the advice of the few people that were able to get theirs up and running. Unfortunately, none of the suggestions helped; I tried unplugging the unit, pushing clear and start simultaneously and finally unplugging and resetting the blue and white plugs on the control panel.I had thought of buying a different microwave except for the fact there is not one single microwave under $1,000 with a customer rating above 2 stars. Even the Best Buy rated microwaves in Consumer Reports, Epinions, Amazon, etc. didnt receive positive reviews from the actual consumers. So now I am going to order the control panel (not from Samsung directly) and install it myself. I dont see any other option since I dont want the expense of another microwave plus installation and then worry that another problem will occur no matter what brand I buy. My 1st OTC microwave lasted 20 years, the 2nd for 10 years and now 2 years! I most definitely would like to be involved in a class action suit. One interesting side note: Consumer Reports still list Samsung in the top 4. From now on, Im going to the actual user reviews listed at the bottom of the rating page!

I preferred to select 0 stars but that is not an option. I purchased a bottom freezer fridge on 7/26/2007, Model RB195BSSW. For several days, the freezer isnt working properly and the fridge isnt cooling sufficiently. This morning, a Best Buy technician came out to troubleshoot and determined the circuit board needs replacing. I called Samsung since the fridge is less than 5 years old. No help, the person on the phone just kept telling me I could go through Best Buy to fix the issue or have Samsung come out at my additional expense. This is unacceptable for a product that is less than 5 years old. Ive purchased many Samsung products in the past - TV, cellphones and never (knock on wood) have had an issue. I am very disappointed in their product and lack of service.

Three years later it stopped cooling. Had a Sears repairman come in and replaced two panels ($250 and $175) plus $100 labor. Got it working again. Six months later, the exact thing happened. This time Im not spending any money to repair it. So upset and disappointed. I expected their refrigerators be as good quality as their TVs. Samsung should take responsibility for their products! How is it that they get away with it?!?! No more Samsung for me, ever!

After two months of trying to get in touch with someone at Samsung who could set this up for me, I was told that the service is not offered in my area, based on my zip code. I asked if it was available in the zip code where I purchased the product and was again told it is not. I asked if it was available anywhere in the U.S. and was told that the only technician they had listed was in California. I accused them of selling a product and advertising a service that customers like me have paid top dollar for, knowing that it is not offered in most areas of the U.S. They did not offer me any resolution.

My only complaint and its a huge one because of the price point of this Appliance is the shoddy finish. The enamel cooktop started peeling within 6 months and the black stainless isnt really stainless. Its a cheap black/paint coating that has been flaking off after about 3 months. It is a really beautiful stove, but very aware of the lack of durability if you are buying it for aesthetic reasons. It is pretty pricey to have repair service for finish repair.

This an update on my trouble getting my Samsung refrigerator fixed. Its been going on for 6 weeks now. Granted we have been out of town for 2 of those weeks. First attempt to fix it was to replace the computer board ($375). This took almost 2 weeks due delay in getting first one that was on backorder and was defective so another had to be order. This didnt work. The repair people came back out and decided that it was the cooling fan BUT the fan is manufactures discontinued, so we have to buy the whole cooling panel of $180. The repair people and Lowes advised that the repair people write a letter stating the problems and what they have had to do and cost of fixing this problem and submit to Samsung for a possible credit for a new one. Fortunately we have the beer and watermelon refrigerator in the garage, which ironically is the one we replace with the high tech Samsung. I only wish I could sue them for forcing me to live with an unhappy wife for this long.

About 6 months after purchasing and installing our OTR Samsung microwave, the popcorn setting began to burn up the bags of popcorn so we quit using that setting. Then roughly 8 months later (and after the warranty ran out) our microwave started to turn itself off and give an SE error message. After doing this for three or four times, the front panel just went out and never came back on regardless of our attempts to revive it.I went online and began to research the problem and it is very obvious that this is an inherent problem with Samsung OTR microwaves despite their previous top rating. And most of the reports state that the replacement costs are prohibitive and the replacement parts also malfunction. Now we are stuck with a $350.00 piece of junk and it is not even 1 1/2 years since the purchase! Planned obsolescence? I bought this microwave because it was highly rated and because it matched my other Samsung kitchen appliances. Oh well, I cant get my money back and it doesnt make any sense to repair it - so it goes to the landfill. Ridiculous! I wont buy another one, but I do wish that everyone knew about the issues with these microwaves prior to even considering this brand of microwave oven, especially because this is an ongoing problem and Samsung is well aware of it.

This refrigerator is one of the best we have ever had. Being a Navy family, we are always on the move, resulting in new appliances every few years. We found early on that selling our used appliances before a move, was more cost effective than risking damage to them. Samsung refrigerators are priced well, energy efficient, as well as nice to look at. I love the french doors and freezer on the bottom. The middle drawer is the favorite feature in this house. Putting the most used items in the drawer, saves opening the doors to the top storage area so many times each day. Bought this from SEARS just before Christmas around December 22 of 2010 to match the Samsung Stove that I bought for the new home that we had just moved into. Looked great and I was very pleased until it stopped working on Jan. 4th of 2012 (approximately). Throwing the error code SE and unplugging it and re-plugging it back in would allow it to work for maybe 5 minutes. I was so upset when I called Sears and they wouldnt even entertain the idea of coming out to service it unless I wanted to pay for the service call and whatever the problem was to fix. I realize that there is only a 1-year warranty on the microwave, but come on! It stopped working 2 weeks past the 1-year warranty end. Whatever happened to standing by what you sell? Its a shame that most of these products are made overseas and so cheaply and then sold for way more than they are worth. Its obvious to me that Samsung products are pretty much pieces of crap that arent even worth looking at. I encourage anyone considering one of their products to think twice. I am a very unhappy consumer and will tell everyone that I know to not even consider any product manufactured by Samsung. Yes, I could have purchased an extended warranty but come on people, 54 weeks an appliance works before breaking down and needing repair? That is absolutely absurd. I pretty much told Sears that they lost a customer and anyone else that I knew too. No wonder they are going out of business! They have terrible customer service and dont give a damn about the consumer. I had an independent service company come out to take a look, who, by the way did not charge me for the service call, as I had explained the situation to them. He checked it out and told me the motherboard would have to be replaced and that it would cost almost as much as I paid for the microwave in the first place. How disappointing that I have been sitting here with a microwave for the past 2 years that doesnt work because I dont exactly have the luxury of being able to just go out and purchase a new one every year or two. Im furious at Samsung for manufacturing such a substandard product and then knowing that it has problems, refused to do any kind of recall or offer to repair at no charge and also SEARS for being so not standing behind what they sell. Cheap labor = cheap materials = cheap products. Truly disgusting!

We bought Samsung microwave, to go along with all other Samsung appliances. We paid several hundred dollars for unit, and have been highly disappointed. Without warning, microwave stopped working entirely. We had all breakers tested to ensure the issue was in fact the microwave. Then, called Samsung Support. When we were told this wouldnt be covered by warranty *though they werent sure what the problem was, and advised we would need to schedule service. An appliance that you pay good money for, should continue working - and if it doesnt, it should be considered faulty by the manufacturer. Forgive me for not wanting to pay Samsung any more money for selling a bad product, being less than helpful, and no guarantee that even if they fix the unit, that we wont continue to have problems.Additional side notes: We used this microwave minimally, always kept it clean, and even advised Samsung Support that we just needed them to provide us a website - in order for us to refer to make the repair ourselves. Avoid the hours of wasted time if youve had your microwave over a year. And, in hopes you havent already bought a Samsung unit, read reviews of other manufacturers and the way they handle complaints, before making an investment. Had we done that, we wouldnt be shelling out hundreds of dollars for a replacement - our savings for Christmas gifts will now be covering malfunctions of something that is less than 2.5 years old. Thank you for your time.

I have a 3 year old Samsung refrigerator that went out Labor Day weekend. We had a total loss of food due to this. I contacted Samsung they set us up with one of their contractors on a priority call. With that said it took them 7 days to come over, the repair person said his leak detector for Freon did not work so he came back the next day. No leak was found so they would next step order a new dryer for the unite. That took 8 more days to come in. When the 2ND repair person came with the dry he first re checked for a leak and out it in the sealed system. So the dryer was not even needed. He sent the information via his phone to Samsung that day and told me I would be contacted with in 48 hours. Well I tried to contact Samsung and let them know the 48 hours was up and after 1 and on half hours on hold I finally was able to speak to a person. That gave me a new case number and ask for receipt information to be sent via eFax once again the 48 hour rule goes in. No call back so I take the one hour and forty five minutes to call back. Finally have the correct person on phone that tell me what the first person said was not correct and I needed to email the information to her. I told her we have gone 25 days waiting on them and not having any way to have cold food in out home aside from an ice chest and really was beyond frustrated at the lack of help I was getting, her response was it will take 48 hours to the buy back department to contact me. I ask if I could speak to the them or have a extension number to not have to spend that long on hold and constantly get a wrong area to pick up and was firmly told no! I informed the lady that if this was to be a buy back I would like to just know if it is okay to purchase a new refrigerator and would Samsung send me a check at some point to reimburse me. I was told in not a nice way I could buy anything I want but Samsung would set the terms as to how I would be paid that we must keep the dead unit until further information was sent to us. So here we are with nothing still - there is no excuse for this to happen. We have lost all food, cannot have or store food and really need a company that give a ___p.

We purchased our very expensive Samsung fridge, French doors, freezer on the bottom. March of 2017. After 6 months we had issues with the drawers and shelves cracking and breaking. Not only are the parts cheaply made but almost a $1000 in warranty calls with Lowes has been spent on trying to fix the ice maker. It is a vicious cycle. The entire thing freezes over, we have to defrost it then wait for the entire unit to reset. When we DO have ice, the ice doesnt Staub cold, water leaks all over the inside and outside of the fridge and into the floor. We are so sick of this issue. We have only had the unit for 2 years and were STUCK with it!

In March of 2015 my wife and I bought a Samsung 22.5 cu. ft French Door Refrigerator and the Samsung Protection Plus Plan. This refrigerators initial cost was $2,498.40 and the Protection Plus Plan cost was approximately $700. Beginning in late June 2017 the ice maker began to develop problems making ice cubes and finally just made watered slushy ice. I called the Samsung phone number listed on the Protection Plus contract 1-800-726-7864 and explained the problem. First problem was I could barely understand the staff person I was speaking to. Secondly I further explained I had the extended protection plan and needed service. I was given a repair ticket number and told I would be contacted within 48 hours. I received a call from a service company that Samsung contacted and was told there was a charge to come out and then additionally a charge for the repair. I was told their company did not accept the Samsung Protection Plan and to call Samsung back. It should be noted in my area there are VERY few repair companies that accept the Samsung Protection Plus Plan or even want to service their refrigerators. I was told by a repairman parts are very difficult to get. Subsequently I once again called Samsung and once again explained I need my refrigerator serviced under the Protection Plan. I will not go into detail of how many times I had to call Samsung which took a month to finally get the refrigerator supposedly repaired in late July 2017. However, even after the service repair the ice maker still does not function properly. It is now early August 2017 and I once again called Samsung and explained to their staff the ice maker still is not working properly. I once again was given a repair ticket number and once again was contacted by the same company that wanted to charge for a service call. I did some research and found the phone number to Samsung Protection Plus Tech Support. I called that number and explained the problem and am still awaiting a call from the company that performed the last service repair. In conclusion, I would NEVER BUY ANY SAMSUNG APPLIANCE having experienced firsthand the quality of their product. Additionally, their Samsung Protection Plus Plan is a serious JOKE and is a total waste of money. I plan on submitting for a refund of the money we paid for the protection plan which is possible per information within the contract.

The 2 stars are given because they are beautiful BUT we did a complete kitchen remodel in 2018 and nothing is holding up. We spent over $5000 on a SmartHub fridge that wont make ice properly and freezes up every month or so, $400 on a microwave that broke 5 months ago, over $5000 on a double oven that wont hold its temp properly and now we have to pay fo fix the washing machine that we spent almost $2000 on. We spent well over 15,000 to have matching smart appliances that well end up having to replace within the next few years. Nothing has connected properly to the smart hub. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Bought brand new Samsung electric range in summer 2016. Immediately noticed loud clicks when oven was on, oven makes 6-7 loud clicks per minute. Called Samsung for warranty service. Samsung refused to dispatch a technician unless I agreed to pay for the call BECAUSE its normal! Thats right, making approx 400 loud clicks per hour is NORMAL. This is the worst appliance and service I have ever experienced. Called HD and they said theres nothing we can do. Went to HD store and played them a video I took of my new Samsung range. Every HD employee said thats NOT normal BUT youre stuck with it, theres nothing HD can do! I hate my brand new Samsung range. We bought 4 appliances that day, thank goodness only one appliance was Samsung garbage. Avoid ALL Samsung appliances. I will never buy a Samsung product of any kind! Samsung simply declares all design flaws normal and avoids any responsibility. Samsung is a despicable company, please avoid Samsung products.

The stove cooks very hot, even on the warm setting. Everything tends to burn. I have had two pieces of the white ceramic coating on the stove fall off, as if something fell on it. When I called Samsung, they told me that there was nothing they would do to help me. My stove/oven looks like it is old and needs to be replaced, even though it was only a little over a year old when this happened.

My elderly parents bought this refrigerator and after thirteen months began having issues. They would send someone out but it would be 2 weeks. I told them of their health issues, my dad is a heart patient and diabetic and we really needed something pretty quick. I was also told from customer service you should always have a back up refrigerator. I asked, Who could afford two refrigerators, and where would you put two? The tone got worse and then I was just pretty much angered with his non-caring attitude. Not to mention that only very few technicians are certified to do a service call. I called Sears and they generously offered 3 days sooner. Very honest and tried to offer other options to try such as unplugging the unit for 2 days in case it had froze up, before spending money my parents did not have on their fixed income. We were never told to try anything from Samsung, to maybe save the expense to a sick, elderly couple. I was told that the minimum amount would be around $685.00 for the visit. Needless to say, we took his advice to unplug the unit for 2 days then restart. At least Sears tried to offer an alternative for us. Have lost food/beverages twice, still no refrigerator/ice maker, etc. Enough air flowing to not be eligible for warranty for a big part such as compressor, etc. Will probably be replaced ASAP b/c that is more than half the price it cost to begin with. After two weeks, they are living from a dorm size refrigerator and a Yeti cooler for ice. With their customer service, me along with my parents are done with Samsung. Sad to say on reviews on this particular type, they are messing up at about the 13-month mark. There is no excuse for a nice, new refrigerator to tear up with barely over a year of use. Never again! Very frustrated, not to mention the anguish my parents are going through. When you buy something that expensive, you expect it to last a while. I have had my Kenmore side-by-side for almost 20 years so we have learned a lesson. But the main lesson is all about the attitude you give the person on the other end of that phone. Try to be a little sympathetic to an elderly persons situation Samsung! Going to try to find another one after their check comes the first of the month. Another several days.

Please anyone that has had problems with their Samsung Product - no matter what the product, contact me. I am trying to get a class action suit started against Samsung and their customer service department. I have had problems with my Samsung dishwasher from day one and now it is Oct of another year. Samsung thinks that they can run the warranties out on their products and people will eat it and buy something else. If your product has not been replaced or repaired, it is still under warranty and we need to get together and make sure these big companies dont think they can get away with that. My dishwasher has been sitting here since June of this year(2014) with water in it. Has been repaired many times and the last time the repairman didnt even get down the road before it broke again. Having trouble with Samsung wanting to repair again, well under the lemon law with is a law it has to be replaced. They are hoping like a lot of people I will just let it drop, no such chance, its the principle of the matter now. Big companies need to pay for their mistakes so please contact me with your information **. If I get enough I can proceed with a class action suit against Samsung. Thank you.

I bought a new Samsung Stainless Steel Range in November 2011. I was away for 3 years and the stove was hardly used. Just got home and was cooking for about two months. It seems to have a problem heating the oven and cooking a small chicken takes much too long. Burned on the top and undercooked below. But the MAJOR issue was my exploding cooktop. I was sitting in the living room. I had just warmed my soup and had turned the cooktop off. I then heard a major explosion... like a gun going off in the kitchen. The cooktop had completely shattered. There was nothing on the stove thank goodness and no glass was projected into the room but it really scared me. I know from reading the other complaints I share customer experiences of poor quality and feeling afraid of your stove. I also know they will tell me the stove is past its warranty. I wont even try. It was defective with only 7 months of real use. Built in obsolescence is alive and well with Samsung.

Two years ago I purchased a Samsung Side by Side refrigerator RS5267TDWP. The refrigerator portion stopped cooling. I had to throw all my food out. I had purchased the extended warranty. The repairman came out and determined what the problem was. One of the parts I needed was an Evaporator cover. The part number given to the repairman did not match what was in my refrigerator. Samsung insisted it was the right part. They had no other options. So Samsung cant remember or look up what parts they used in their refrigerators two years ago. So here I sit with no refrigerator. All the comments about the ice maker are spot on. The ice cubes freeze in the chute. Whoever designed the ice maker was a sadist. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator. My last refrigerator made by Amana lasted 14 years at half the cost.

DW80F600UTS - Do not buy this dishwasher! I ignored the bad reviews thinking it would be okay... its not! Since day one it has been pathetic at washing dishes. Now barely one year into it, just past warranty, the leak sensor breaks (there is no leak). The dishwasher shuts itself down after a few minutes and the lights blink. I called Samsung several times to troubleshoot and they were no help. Sears repair came out and diagnosed a broken sensor that costs $120 and $145 to install. That is $270 for a practically new dishwasher. Please save your time and money and do not buy a Samsung dishwasher!

Samsung Warranty Service. Replaced all my kitchen appliances with Samsung a few months ago. Happy with them generally but fridge/freezer suddenly stopped cooling. Samsung Call Center has dispatched the ticket to 3 different Authorized Warranty Service Centers over two days. All Service Centers have declined as they say they cannot repair Compressor/Sealed Unit as they are. I forced the Call Center to escalate to their dispatch center which then tried to send another service provider who declined to come as they were not qualified or equipped to do the work. Two days without a TV is manageable. Two days without a fridge is not. I had to buy a new freezer to save my frozen meat and food. Needless to say, Freezer is not a Samsung. Still have not reached anyone at Samsung who can make a decision. Thanks for the Melty Mess in my new kitchen, Samsung.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 18 months ago at Lowes for $2000.00 and it was a french door fridge. It stopped getting cold so I got on Samsung website and found a repairman at The Appliance Doctor. They sent a man out and he looked at the fridge and said it is not worth fixing. It needs a computer and two other parts. He continued to say Samsung are junk and it will break again. I then called another well known appliance repair center and they also told me that they do not work on Samsung products. They stated they cant get parts for them. Word to the wise.. Never buy kitchen appliances from Sears as they have no service department. Their service work is subbed out to other companies. When you call them for service work you will be talking to someone who sounds like he or she is from Pakistan or Korea. They are extremely expensive and you have to work around their schedule. I have owned a new SAMSUNG Refrigerator for less than five years. We purchased the three-year warranty when we purchased it, but it did us no good as the Refrigerator quit working and couple of months, after the warranty expired. The unit started to make a clicking noise and then it quit cooling. The service guy shows up after going through the circus of getting him out there to tell us that the unit is frozen and he sees this issue quite often. He charges me $225.00 to defrost the frozen motor and he tries to sell me another one year warranty for $300 plus dollars. Its now 13 months later and we are experiencing the same symptoms. The fan motor starts the clicking noise and the unit quits cooling. I called Samsung to let them know what was going on and to see if they help me out because of the lemon that I purchased from them. They were not willing to work with me in any way. I have a KitchenAid refrigerator outside that I have owned for ten plus years and I havent had the first problem with the unit. I am done with the Korean Samsung Products.. Buy American made products!!

Got rid of a 27 year old Kenmore refrigerator so we could experience the newer, energy efficient fridges of today....BIG mistake! Dont get me wrong, its a beautiful appliance, but, I want my Kenmore back! Clearing the ice from the fan and the build up in the ice maker are becoming chores that I NEVER had to do with my old fridge. Every couple of months we have to unload the fridge to access the back panel to melt the ice built up around the fan. At least once a month we have to clear the ice around the ice maker to get the ice maker to work again. Along with those issues, we have standing water under our drawers and the baseboard trim around our cabinets are mysteriously deteriorating...Im assuming its from the fridge leaking, due to mass runoff of the ice melting! Our model is: Samsung refrigerator RF28HDEDBSR/AA. STAY AWAY! Youve been warned!

Buyer beware of purchasing any Samsung home appliance. I purchased a complete stainless steel kitchen set, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, in July, 2017. They look beautiful, but dont work. Repairmen have been to my home eight times in 4 months. Only the microwave has been problem free. The ice maker has been replaced three times and still makes slushy ice. The dishwasher was delivered with multiple problems, which Samsung claimed were not their fault. Begging with Home Depot got me a replacement from them, not Samsung. Now the finish is coming off in black globs. The stove had an oven door that did not close properly. Multiple trips by Samsung repairman finally resulted in having to have the oven door replaced. That only occurred after long conversations with Samsung customer service, and a request for the address of their administrative office. They said they were doing it for me as a one time courtesy. Their repair service (Lake Electronics in our area) matches Samsung in their incompetence and customer disservice. Be smart and invest your hard earned money in a company whose products are worthwhile.
