On Christmas morning I turned our Frigidaire range on to cook our Christmas
On Christmas morning I turned our Frigidaire range on to cook our Christmas turkey. Our stove is only 2.5 years old. There was a loud pop and I turned to see flames coming from the back of the stove licking at the wall. My husband quickly pulled the range away from the wall as I shut the stove down. The flames subsided but thick black smoke was still coming from the back panel. Never will I buy a Frigidaire appliance again. We could have lost our home on Christmas morning if we hadnt been in the kitchen. Cooking a turkey for a group of guests on an outdoor grill in 40 degree weather is miserable. Thank you Frigidaire for your junk... Your Frigidaire dishwasher starts by itself so it is unplugged... Your Frigidaire microwave with vent is worthless. We are replacing these new Frigidaire products one at a time for our familys safety.

DO NOT BUY THIS for $2000. It has broken every 2-4 months for as long as I have owned it. It is refrigerator, but the bad design AND bad craftsmanship - I am sure all of the devices they sell under this (Chinese made) name are junk. DO NOT BUY IT. Get a better Chinese/Korean one like LG or Samsung.

Bought 15 new appliances, 3 of them need to be fixed. I have been waiting 2 months for some to service them and I still have not got the right parts and they keep on rescheduling my appointment. I have called many times. Still waiting!!! I probably wont even have an oven to cook in for Thanksgiving in my new home. What a joke with all the money I spent.

We live in California and purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator to put in our newly built vacation home in Arizona. I only wished I would have looked at ALL of the reviews prior to choosing this brand. Our new home was ready 2 mos earlier than expected. We called Home Depot, where we purchased it from, to get a earlier delivery date. No problem... we scheduled it and traveled the 6 hours to spend the weekend and accept delivery of our refrigerator. The refrigerator arrived, installed and THOUGHT it was good to go. The next morning we realized the refrigerator was not cooling. We could hear it running but not cold at all. Long story (which it is) short.... we finally got someone from frigidaire to listen and they said they could not replace the broken refrigerator, they had to send someone out to try and fix it. WHAT???? we do not live in AZ it is our vacation home and we are already back in CA. The rudeness and lack of compassion was unacceptable, but nothing I could do. They scheduled a service tech to come out (yes, I had to find someone in the new neighborhood that I didnt really know to give my key to so they could let them in). The service tech said it was not repairable ... DUH. I gave them the date we were returning and they said no problem.... they will deliver then. NOPE. I received the automated call saying they would be there. Waited home all day. They did not come. I finally got hold of the delivery Manager and he said they didnt even have the refrigerator in their warehouse yet. They finally, after 6 more frantic calls from me, delivered a day later at 8:30pm!!!! The NEW refrigerator makes noise and you cant see the digital display that says water, cube, crushed ice) it does not light up. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ELECTROLUX/FRIGIDAIRE!!!! NO customer service.... and when you finally get someone, they are rude, or at least Sharon at Frigidaire Extension ** was. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

This stove isnt practical at all for everyday cooking. It needs constant cleaning or it looks like hell. The rubber feet under the grates melted away after year and go look up much it costs to replace them. After a year the black paint in the back started coming off despite my best efforts to be careful. The back should be porcelain so it can be scrubbed. Paint just sucks. The burners dont even come close to heating evenly. Its really bad! If youre lucky and have a really old stove, keep it. None of the modern stoves seem fit for heavy use. Parts wear out quickly and cost a fortune. I have called Frigidaire and they wont give me new rubber feet but tried to sell them to me for the same high price. I hope they go out of business.

I have owned several stainless steel refrigerators. Whirlpool and GE never had any issues with the stainless steel. The last one I owned I had 10 years and it was placed in the same location in my house with no problems and no rust at all. The Frigidaire I owned less then 2 years and the entire front of both doors are covered in rust. No fault of my own. This they consider to be cosmetic. Absolutely ridiculous. Its cheap quality stainless or a defect. Either way I would not recommend anything stainless steel from frigidaire. They will not back up their products.

Consumers please beware of Frigidaire Gallery product line. We have had it serviced four times and it is only just bit over a year old. Twice for the same issue of freezing all of our food on the fridge side and once for leaving metal shaving in our ice bin from the ice maker. Now our liner on our refrigerator is splitting apart and cracking all over the inside. The way that the Frigidaire company wants to fix it is with tape. The tape is the width of duct tape and white the same thickness as duct tape. So the repairman will put a piece the size of the cracks and stick them on our refrigerator. This is not an appropriate way to repair a $1500.00 appliance. Its like putting band aids all over the inside of our refrigerator. If they cannot make an appropriate repair then our appliance should be replaced. How will I clean the tape? I thought it was a joke when the repairman told me what Frigidaire said to him for this repair!! No one would want tape on the inside of their fridge. Things spill knock over. Its going to be so messy and really embarrassing when people open my fridge. Frigidaire you should be ashamed. What poor customer service. My husband and I have both been on the phone with them for over an hour and they will not help us and insist we have to use tape. What low standards you have set for what was thought to be a fine product. I have wasted $1500.00 on a refrigerator that will now have tape all over it. I even bought the extended warranty. How disappointed we are. No help was offered, nothing, zero. Buyers beware! I will post pictures soon for you all to see my taped refrigerator liner! We were going to purchase the oven in this Frigidaire product line. But not now. Consumer rights arent protected anymore and it is disturbing!!

I purchased the gas range 2 years ago. Within a month something had dripped down on the glass of the door and when I attempted to clean it, realized I was unable to because it was between the two layers of glass! Most ridiculous design. Id noticed that the back panel gets very hot when the oven or broiler is used. Tonight Im unable to turn off the broiler. Ive just been reading some of the other comments made by customers and realize it will almost be cheaper at this point to buy a new stove by another brand than to buy another piece of garbage like this item has turned out to be. The knob design is ridiculous as well. Leaky and different than any stove Ive had in the past. Think Im turning it off and its not off but LOW. Item looks good but shoddy made.Refrigerator is the same. This item looks good but dents so easily because the metal is so flimsy. My shelves are made of plastic and glass and the plastic has become brittle with the cold and many are developing cracks. I would sadly NEVER, EVER recommend this brand to a friend again. Im very disappointed and my family has always been a Frigidaire supporter.

I have sent this to Frigidaire twice now in two weeks with no call or reply. Their auto-reply states you will get a call back within 48 hours. We purchased some land and built a house on it in October of 2014. I went online and compared ratings for the 5 appliances we were going to put in our new house. Frigidaire was one of the few that had pretty solid ratings for all five appliances we needed. We had our builder work with his appliance company which was out of I think Tappahannock, Virginia. They ordered and installed all of them. The appliances we purchased are as follows: Dishwasher (Mod# FGID2474QF0A SN# KH41722641), Refrigerator (Mod# FFSS2614QS0 SN# 4A42730844), Cook Top Stove (Mod# FPEC3685H5A SN# 3535107151), Microwave (Mod# FGMV175QFA SN# KG42705552), Double Oven (Mod# FFET2725PSC SN# AF41601871).Here is a list of the issues to date. Microwave - before we could even use it the front door had issues and it had to be replaced. Refrigerator - this issue still exists and is the latest issue we have experienced. Ice Maker not getting water to the ice maker. I have changed the filter and worked with your support person and the issue still exists. Cook Top Stove - this was the biggest issue we had. Little Appliance came to our house at least 6 times for this unit. We went without a stove for 3 weeks or more one time and a week or two another time. After several attempts they finally replaced the whole unit. Dishwasher - The operator panel was just locking up intermittently and I think after two visits they replaced the board for this issue. Double Oven - this issue still exist as well. When the unit says it is preheated I believe it is the top over still is not as hot as the bottom oven. We were told to give it an extra 15 to 20 minutes after it says it is preheated. I would like a call back from a manager within Frigidaire to discuss these issues. Some additional Information - we have three people that use the products in this house all at the age of 48 and up. No kids.

Purchased a new house in 2008 and decided to upgrade to some nice new stain
Purchased a new house in 2008 and decided to upgrade to some nice new stainless appliances. The company recommended Frigidaire. Poor decision. The stove threw sparks when the oven door was closed due to poor wiring under the glass top. The microwave was so loud, it had to be replaced immediately. Now when a cabinet door is closed, the microwave turns on by itself and you have to open the microwave door and close it to turn it off. The dishwasher is hard to close, its noisy, and the gaskets started falling off within a year. The refrigerator door shelves broke several times under normal use and the company refused to acknowledge issues with poor design, then denied sending us replacements. Now the temperature control actuator that opens and closes to let cold air in started clicking, then broke, and wont hold a temperature under 40.This is without a doubt the poorest quality appliance company EVER. I have a 15 year old GE Hotpoint refrigerator in the garage we use for extra food, milk and beverage storage, and have never had an issue with it. If I had the money to replace it all tomorrow, I would take every bit of this garbage, and deliver it right back to the front door of the company with a few choice words painted all over it.

I bought Galaxy range. When I cooked for thanksgiving dinner, the backside of the range with its computer components and keypad melted. PC Richards sent a repair person out who said that we used pots that were too large. We did not use enormous pots aside from there should not be melting components on an appliance that gets hot. It is a fire hazard! Frigidaire keeps apologizing for this defective appliance but not giving solution to a useless range. I am told by Frigidaire that I can only use pots that do not extend over the burners in the back. The burners are 2 inches and 4 inches in diameter? Who has pots that small?

Have a $3000 + refrigerator that BOTH the crisper door fronts separated and are now unusable. First drawer broke at 18 month. Second drawer broke at 20 months. Just my wife and I, no kids banging them. They are cheaply made. Called customer service. Of course was told that it is out of warranty. One year. I tried to tell the rep that according to research this is common issue for this unit and that drawers have been replaced outside warranty. Was offered to buy another drawer that will break in 18 months. Got nowhere. Told him he left me no choice than to go on social media. Asked him to hold on so I could get some paper to write his name down. He hung up on me. Was transferred to the survey which conveniently could not hear my verbal answers or receive any keypad input so I could not leave a poor rating. They are not going to address ANY needs out of warranty for known defects with their product. Good luck.

I purchased my Frigidaire Professional appliances for a kitchen remodel in January of 2015. The appliances Sat in my garage (in its factory box) until our remodel was done, so we started using them in mid Feb. 2015. The refrigerator ice maker started making a slight noise around Christmas of 2015 and has progressed into a horribly loud noise in January of 2016. Today I called Frigidaire to complain, they offered to sell me an extended warranty for another $450.00... I told them No thanks. I would use a portion of the $450 to hire someone to come work on their product. You know, I dont mind paying extra for a good product. That is what I thought we had done, but Frigidaire proved me wrong today! This refrigerator cost $1800 - and I did not even get a solid year out of it before problems started. Now I find they refuse to stand behind their product. This was my first Frigidaire product and it will absolutely be my last! Thanks for nothing Frigidaire.

Six months ago, I purchased a complete Frigidaire kitchen from Comeaux Furniture in New Orleans. Early last week, the freezer went out and the temperature rose to 77 degrees before the authorized service repairman arrived. Four days later, the refrigerator side went out also and the temperature rose to 70 degrees. The authorized service repairman said the mother board went out, and it would take a week for the new part to arrive. Its now been two weeks without a working refrigerator or freezer in my house with four kids. And the only thing Frigidaire is willing to offer me is $50 for food, and an additional six months of warranty. I lost about $500 in food and have to eat out every night because of their defective product. I believe that the proper thing to do would be to allow the dealer to pick up this defective unit and replace it with another one. This could have been done in one day instead of two plus weeks. Frigidaire or Comeaux Furniture will not stand behind their products. I would never recommend either one of them.

I purchased a custom size Frigidaire cook top stove, and paid over 1200.00. After just 4 years of minimal use, the oven heat was measured 110 degrees colder than the usual 350. The repair man had to send it out for repairs and it will cost over 400.00 to fix it. I called and left messages at the customer service department, all to no avail. I dont expect to have it fixed for free since it is 4 years old and not 3, however I thought Frigidaire was a reputable company who would like to stand by their products. The run around I received was unheard of and I maintained civility at all times. I am very disappointed with Frigidaire, will never buy another product or recommend them to anyone.

I had recently purchased a stove, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Have had problems with all of them. Stove - just before Christmas stove cracked out. Called Spencers home and appliances. They fixed it. Microwave started sparking. Spencers fixed it. Dishwasher - 2 days after install control panel went out. Spencers came out and fixed it. Dryer hinge wont stay closed. Spencers came out and fixed it. ALL FRIGIDAIRE products!!!!! Now here is the sad part. Dishwasher control panel went out again just about 12 months after it was replaced. WOW!! DRYER door broke again. Im starting to see a pattern!!! Ive had to have this stuff fixed. Called customer service. This was a joke. Finally I was baked into a corner where I had to buy their warranty. 250 dollars but didnt go into effect until a month out. Then they put the warranty on the wrong appliances but they didnt care. Then they didnt bother telling me they were going to fix it without me purchasing the warranty. So at the end of the road I got no help from Elizabeth their supervisor. This company plays the odds of who will actually keep coming after them. Dont buy their products. I own a construction company. I am hiring 25 people to stand out in front of a lot of their stores with sign in protest. I will go buy new products.. Yes this will all cost me a lot of money but its going to cost them more. What this company is doing is not right or ethical They will hide behind their warranties to get over on people instead of doing the right thing. Next is BBB.

We bought all new Frigidaire appliances when moving into our new home 7 years ago. The first to go was the Dishwasher about 2 years ago due to leaking. We just discovered ice forming on the back of our Refrigerator then suddenly the ice maker stopped working. We can access water from the door still but the whole back of the Refrigerator is rusting out due to the ice formation and we have to buy new Refrigerator now. They offered us $500 toward a new one but will never buy from Frigidaire again. The Gas Stove is not holding up well either as the coating is peeling away from the control panel looks terrible. I am writing this now because I just discovered our Electrolux Dryer (made by Frigidaire) is also broken - on Normal setting it is stuck on Air Dry. I have seen 30 year old appliances that look better and still work. WARNING. DO NOT BUY FRIGIDAIRE.

We purchased a new home in 2008 and had new Frigidaire appliances as part of that purchase (dishwasher, stove/range, and microwave). About 2-3 months ago, we began to smell an electrical or plastic burning smell every so often but couldnt place the smell after going around the house. Last weekend I noticed a puddle of water on the floor and after some investigation found that our dishwasher was leaking. Originally I just thought it was from a leaking hose or something. Upon further investigation, we found the heating element burned through the bottom of the plastic tub of the dishwasher (we also discovered our floor and cabinets near the dishwasher are damaged as well and need to be replaced).I checked for recall information and did not find it. I contacted one phone number and touched base with the local Frigidaire repair company. They said Frigidaire would definitely want to know. So, I contacted Frigidaire to let them know of the problem and report it. I wanted to be sure they had all the information about what happened to us to be sure it wouldnt happen to someone else. When I called them, they asked for the model and serial number, and asked if I had an extended warranty, in which I didnt. I told the representative that I wanted to report the heating element burning through the bottom of my dishwasher plastic tub and that it didnt seem like a normal wear and tear kind of issue. And I said that I thought they would want to know the details about it to make sure it didnt happen somewhere out, or potentially help me with my situation. I was put on hold for them to talk to a supervisor. I was told that they made a note of my issue (literally no details given yet). And since I was outside of the 12 month warranty, there was nothing they could do to help me.I told her again I thought they should know about it and the details of what happened. She said her supervisor said that it usually happens when something heavy is resting on the heating element. I was a little taken aback that the initial was that basically we were resting something heavy on the element to cause it to happen. I said, So your reasoning is only that I put something too heavy in the dishwasher. She told me she wasnt accusing me of that. I asked her what else it could be. I said that I wasnt trying too difficult, but I had hoped Frigidaire as a company would be interested in knowing what happened with their product to potentially protect other consumers from the situation I was in. The response was “Is there anything else I can do for you?” I was surprised and expressed to her that I was thoroughly disappointed in Frigidaire. Their lack of interest in knowing the details of what happened to me and making accusations showed they had no genuine concern for me as a consumer or other consumers who may be facing the same things. She again said she wasnt accusing me of anything, but I asked her to explain what else it could be. She only said that heating elements burning through the tub are caused by heavy items resting on the element.I believe there is a design flaw with this unit (model # FDB1050REC2) and that the heating element should be better supported in the tub. This dishwasher is only 3 years old. The situation is not from wear and tear of other items or breaking of something. It is a flaw that unfortunately Frigidaire is not interested in investigating or even acknowledging as a potential issue.

We bought this refrigerator and the noise of the unit is very loud. The unit works perfectly but because of its design the unit produces more noise from its compressor than any refrigerator Ive ever heard. If I knew this I would have opted for a different refrigerator. The so-called stainless steel is not stainless steel and if at any time the protective finish is compromised on inside or outside it will rust. Its not right that you can say stainless steel and the metal is not stainless steel. To prove this point you should not be able to have strong magnetic properties with stainless steel because of the lack of iron in the material and yet the so-called stainless steel does work as well as plain steel which will rust. I hope this helps other unsuspecting consumers when they meet with fraudulent marketing tactics that we all must deal with more than ever today.

This is the worst purchase I have ever made in my life! Purchased a complete Frigidaire kitchen package (Fridge Model FGSS2635TD, oven, microwave, dishwasher) from Brandsmart USA in Miami, Florida to install in my brand new remodeled kitchen. It took over 2 months to arrive due to Covid. Brought the new black stainless steel appliances/smudge proof and what a mistake. The paint chips off all the appliances. Had to have the refrigerator door handles replaced because of chipping, other parts chipping as well. Had to purchase paint to apply every time it comes off and you see the silver stainless steel underneath. After only using the microwave for a couple of weeks it stopped working. Contacted Frigidaire to have a technician repair. It has been 2 months the technician has been out to the house 3 times and cant repair. Every time he comes there is a new issue and additional parts are needed, which take forever to arrive since everything is on backorder. This last time the tech advised I would need an entire front door to the microwave, the entire inside has practically been replaced and still doesnt work. Frigidaire customer service is horrible!! I have had to contact them over 10 times to no avail. One agent had the audacity to tell me they cant provide me with a new microwave and that they are losing money on me since they have to send the repair tech!! Like I said it would have been cheaper to send a new microwave!! If they would have manufactured a quality product this would not have happened. Unfortunately, I have to continue to wait since Im still paying for these appliances that cost over $4000.00. Praying that nothing else happens to the other appliances!! If I could give less than one star I would. Never again.!! Do NOT buy!! Grave disappointment from this company! Totally dissatisfied!

Bought my electric range a few years ago. Got a great deal on a discontinued model. Love the ceramic top -- easy to clean, although it no longer looks just like new. Stove top and oven work fine and I do a lot of cooking and baking. It's simple to use. Don't like appliances with too many features that make them complicated to operate. Must hold the temperature well because baked goods always get done in the amount of time recommended in the recipe. Love that it's white too. Looks so nice and bright.

They explain that there is only a 90 day return policy. Why would I open an item before I needed it? Needless to say these babies are going up on eBay and I will purchase OEM filters. This is a policy they did not think out.

Last night, I banged my head so hard that I sustained a serious neck injury. I still have a headache and being treated by a doctor. This has never happened to me before with any other refrigerator/freezers. I will get rid of this refrigerator to prevent personal injury from happening again. I didnt want to spend the week leading up to Christmas in pain, but I am. Im very frustrated! I have had two whiplashes from car accidents and this mishap with my freezer door has only compounded the problem.

Im writing on behalf of my daughter who is due to give birth any day now and who has waited since January for Frigidaire to make right a product that does not work. In the last four weeks, Ive spent nearly 8 hours on hold BEFORE I could actually talk to someone, and though it has been 8 months, the replacement dishwasher which Frigidaire was supposed to deliver has not been delivered. On two occasions, delivery men have brought out a new dishwasher but then, mysteriously, the new machine was deemed broken in delivery and impossible to install. Ive been instructed to send copies of documents to prove our purchase even though they have record of the fact that she owns it. I am waiting for Frigidaire to deliver a serial tag to me - Im supposed to attach it to a rebate email. I have never received the tag.My belief is that Frigidaire is attempting to get out of replacing the product which has never worked by delaying until it is no longer in warranty. They are a dishonest company, run by incompetents or worse, they are criminals and are happy to take money and try to grind consumers down by making their service impossible to get all the while recorded messages assure those of us on hold that Frigidaire is concerned and cares about its customers. RUN, RUN, RUN, but do not buy anything any Frigidaire.

In 2012, I purchased all Frigidaire appliances (Refrigerator, Oven, Dishwasher and Microwave). I also purchased the Extended Service Agreement and renewed with an expiration date of 3/27/2020 on all the appliances. In November 2017 I noticed a crack on the door of the microwave located at the bottom of the handle. This is probably due to the design of opening and closing. The microwave is Model #FFMV162LW Serial Number KH12401883. Purchase date 9/5/2012 ($199.00). The extended service contract #[protected] (spent $163.93 on this service). When I contacted the 800# to report this, I was told it is not covered, because it is not part of functionality. I have read over the contract. Nowhere does it mention the door not being a significant part of the functionality; it does need to be closed to function. The contract does not mention at all that the door is not part of the extended service.I then went on the Chat Line to further submit my frustration of all the expense I put in to all these extended services I purchased on all the appliances, not to have Frigidaire back up their products and services. These will be the last Frigidaire items I will purchase when I am in need of future products. **Answer received: I appreciated reading you complaint. Im quite heavily involved with the industry and think I might be able to shed some light on the subject. The issue youre referencing is a problem of physical damage versus that of electronic/mechanical problems. Physical damage is something most extended service guarantees do not cover; for example, closing the door too hard and cracking the door. This makes sense whereas theres no way to determine how the crack really occurred. For what its worth, I own several Frigidaire appliances and dont hesitate to recommend them. Admittedly I prefer the Gallery and Professional lines as compared to that of the basic Frigidaire series, but if one knows the line fairly well, they can become a great value. Hopefully this helps clarify the issue.**I replied with: Sorry Shaun, but this seems to be a standard reply you are giving many of the complaints posted here. I still stand by my statement that I will not purchase any more Frigidaire items. After the several conversations with Frigidaire, there has not been one single reply. I asked if all my methods of contact (phone and live chat) had been recorded, to which I was informed they were as I suggested upper management review. When one receives mailers saying you are best to purchase a service agreement (kind of an extended warranty) that pretty much costs more than the unit itself, you are believing the Company will address the problem. In this case, me, the customer, was not satisfied with three issues; 1) Product flaw 2) Misleading extra coverage 3) Level of caring from Company.

I purchased a Frigidaire washer (FAFS4272LW) and dryer on October 1, 2011. Since purchasing these items I have had a major service on the machine at 15 months when the cement block disintegrated causing the machine to stop spinning. Repair cost me $600.00 - NO WARRANTY. Frigidaire/Electrolux did not want to help me stating I did not get extended warranty for this item. Who would think this front load washer of 15 months would have such an issue? I finally got them to replace the cement block but I was to pay for service. 600.00 later the machine is fixed and I am left cleaning the mess the service man did not clean. Fast forward to August 15, 2015. The washer is not yet 4 years old and again the cement block has cracked and I am left without a machine - since this is not covered as I refused to give Frigidaire another penny and purchase an extended warranty. By the way the customer service person told me this part would not be covered pre-existing problem. I just took the machine and junked it. I did go out and purchase a Samsung Top Load AquaJet machine with a five year warranty - anything happens to my machine they will repair it at no cost or replace it. Customer service thanks to PC Richards at its best unlike Electrolux. I will never purchase another item that has the name is GE/Frigidaire/Electrolux again.

I purchased a home that had all new appliances including a Frigidaire stain
I purchased a home that had all new appliances including a Frigidaire stainless steel refrigerator (Model FFTR1821QS), manufactured in April, 2015. Within 2 weeks of moving in, on 10/23/15, the refrigerator started making a loud groaning and clunking noise and was no longer cooling. Called Frigidaire and they scheduled a service call for over a week out with one of their contracted companies. The guy came out and determined that there were 3 parts that needed to be replaced, all of which were on backorder, so they likely wouldnt be available for weeks. I called Frigidaire again to figure out some kind of resolution and get a more accurate timeline for when the parts would be in and when the repair could be completed. They were not able to give me a timeline other than one of the parts needed is expected to arrive 1 week from today.I have now been without a refrigerator for 1 week and AT MINIMUM expecting to be without for another week, most likely much longer since the other 2 parts do not have an estimated arrival date at all. The person in the parts administration department was unable to do anything further and abdicated responsibility to the customer service department. When I called Customer Service, I expressed by frustration and stated that having to wait 3-4 weeks or more without a refrigerator is completely unacceptable. After being on hold for a while, the person came back and offered me 6 months of additional extended warranty on the refrigerator which does absolutely nothing for me today. I asked for the brand new refrigerator to be replaced or to be given some kind of compensation because it was obviously a defective model if this level of problems were happening so soon.I was told that a repair and offer of additional extended warranty was all that could be done. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was connected to Danielle, corporate manager, who gave me the same lines the other person did. I asked for a replacement or some other kind of compensation again and was told that the manufacturer warranty only covers parts and labor and not replacement and that Danielle, herself, would research the parts that are needed (for the 3rd or 4th time... apparently that should give me some kind of solace that another person will do the same thing that has already been done) and will give me a call next week with an update. If the parts arent there, they arent there.Theres nothing than can be done to expedite that process. I asked to speak with her supervisor and she refused to transfer me to anyone else. It is absolutely ridiculous how little regard Frigidaire has for their customers and their experience with their products. I will never purchase a Frigidaire product and will recommend that anyone I know steer clear of them as well.

I purchased this refrigerator in September 2016. The plastic lining, the doors have all cracked due to the cold temperatures. The plastic started cracking within a year of purchase. I previously had a GE for 15 years and never had any problems. This new fridge has plastic pieces hanging off of them and is visibly horrible. I purchased the warranty and they say it is cosmetic so they will not cover. I have called Frigidaire and they want me to purchase new doors. When I asked to escalate they provided me a P.O Box to write a letter in hopes that I would not bother.I cannot believe that I spent so much money on a horrible product that is cheaply made. We have 4 adults living in our home and expect our fridge to last more than a year. I have a claim currently for my ice maker because it jams, stops working and then drips all along the front side of my fridge. Lets see how that goes. I am writing a letter and I will provide an update if they even respond. DO NOT BUY FRIGIDAIRE! They make cheap faulty products and their warranty and service sucks.

Now the microwave has stopped working. It smells like something has burned out as there is an electrical smell. Who knows if it can be repaired or not. Now Im waiting for something to go wrong with the stove and fridge. I would caution everyone to steer away from Frigidaire products as they should last longer than a couple of years.

DO NOT BUY FROM FRIGIDAIRE. I bought this refrigerator last year about 4 months before the 1 year warranty expired. My refrigerator got a crack on the floor; Frigidaire send a company to taped, they drill a nasty hole next to the crack without my permission. For whatever reason they did they never got my authorization, then the tape came off a few days later after was applied. That’s when I saw the hole next to the crack, Frigidaire offer to send another company for a second opinion. The company came and told me was unrepairable. I call again and they said that they were sending other companies. They schedule me about 6 times holding my time for 5 hours every time. I called Frigidaire and spent minutes on the phone explain every representative the same issue. They all reschedule me, no one shows up. No one ever fix or replace my fridge. Even one of the companies they sent out told me that Frigidaire was one of the most awful companies to deal while you have an issue, they stated that is just a cosmetic problem and isn’t affecting the function of the refrigerator. Now I stuck here with this suite of appliances from Frigidaire with a hole, a crack and a tape sticking off my Refrigerator. If I ever knew this I WILL NEVER BUY FROM FRIGIDAIRE AND OF COURSE I WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN.

Brand new washer/dryer combo - The washer died in three days. I called in and they referred me to an authorized servicer. I waited four days for him then needed a part. Still waiting on day 17. I now called Frigidaire and said, Please just take back the machine. They said no. My retailer was ready to do a swap, but Frigidaire wont authorize it. My retailer should have stepped up and helped me out, but they are lame too. No one cares that I spent good money and got the shaft. I said, How could you allow it to drag on this long? They said, It is our policy. I said, Screw your policy. I will never buy this product again. So as soon as they are fixed, hey goon Craigslist and I am getting a different brand. Dont buy Frigidaire. I purchased my product from Best Buy in 2007. I was pleased with the product for the first few months. Over a period of time, I always smelled something burning when I opened the cooler side door, like plastic; but, I was never able to locate where this was coming from. On January 31, 2012, I opened the door for about 15 minutes to clean out the product and kept smelling burning plastic. I looked up and was in awe at what I found. The (original) light bulb, that rest on the ceiling of the refrigerator (fridge), had burned right into the lining of the ceiling. At that time, I realized this is a faulty product; this product should not be in any home. I have a repair man come out and view the fridge, and he stated this shouldnt be in my home because, this could potentially cause a fire and burn my house down, leaving my family homeless!I went to http://www.frigidaire.com/contactus and filed a complaint through email; the response that I received was a standard response any company would use to not accept responsibility and place the blame on the customer, who bought the product. The response was as follows: Thank you for contacting Frigidaire. We sincerely regret you have experienced difficulties with your refrigerator. Frigidaire provides very comprehensive warranties with each product to guard against any parts that may be defective at the time of manufacture. However, we are sure you can appreciate that a point is eventually reached when the manufacturers responsibility for repairs under the initial warranty must end.Our experience has shown that an original defect in material or workmanship will develop very early in the life of the appliance. After a reasonable period of service, many factors beyond the control of the manufacturer may affect any product. The problem experienced is almost always due to the door being left open for inordinate periods of time or from replacing the bulb with a wattage too high for an appliance application. There is a liner repair kit available that an authorized Frigidaire service provider can install that will repair the damage. Please choose from among the following authorized Frigidaire service providers that serve your area: Major Brands Appliance Service, LLC / Newton, IA / 50208-3226 / (641)831-3840 Appliance Service Center / Des Moines, IA / 50315-5072 / (515)256-3090American TV Appliance Service / Madison, WI / 53713-2346 / (800)854-6659We offer extended service agreements for all customers who register their appliances with us to guard against any unusual problems that may occur outside of warranty beyond usual wear and tear. If you would like to purchase an extended warranty, you may do so after your appliance has been repaired by contacting our Extended Service Agreement Department at 1 (866) 386-5286. Thank you again for contacting Frigidaire, BoThis, is not acceptable. I requested that they repair the default or refund the amount less depreciation, so I am able to purchase a produce that would not place my family in danger. Now, I am filing this claim along with several other regulatory agencies.

On June 11, 2014 I purchased Frigidaire Air Conditioner - Model FFTA1422Q2 - Serial No. KK3 through P.C. Richards, which was delivered on June 19, 2014 and installed the following day. I completed and mailed in my registration on July 1, 2014. I used the unit during the summers of 2014 and 2015. I tried turning it on again on Friday, May 27, 2016 and the unit would not cool. On Saturday May 28, 2016 I called the Frigidaire Customer Service number 800-944-9044 only to get a recording to contact 2 different service companies, one in Laurelton, NY and the other in Deer Park, NY. Neither of these numbers were operational.I then called PC Richards Customer Service to find a repair service that handles Frigidaire units so that I would not void my warranty. They gave me Aid Audio & Television Service Corp. I tried reaching them but due to the holiday weekend I could not get through until Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Told them the unit was not cooling and the first appointment I could get was Friday, 6/10/16. When the serviceman arrived he said I needed a new control board and the office would call me on Monday June 13, 2016 with the cost. When I did not hear from them on Monday, I called them back twice and could not get an answer. I then contacted PC Richards Customer Service department and spoke with Ellen. She called and spoke with Soma who said that Paul would be back in touch with me. He called me later in the day and told me that it would cost me $416.00 plus tax for the part and labor, which included the $95.00 I had already paid for the service call. I told them I would let them know.I felt this was ludicrous and I then contacted Frigidaire Customer Service on Wednesday June 15, 2016 and spoke with Linda. She agreed and did not think I even needed a control board since it was operational, it just wasnt cooling. She told me the main control board would be $85.56, a display board was $52.41 and a control panel with overlay would be $23.51. She felt another service company should come and look at the unit at no charge if the problem was in the sealed system, otherwise I would be charged. She made arrangements with Petro Home Services to look at the unit on Monday 6/20/16. The service man determined that I had lost the Freon and needed to put in a sealant and replace the Freon. On 6/22/16 I was told by Kelly at Frigidaire that parts were being ordered at no charge.Petro returned on June 24, 2016 and took the unit out of the sleeve again only to find out that I needed a new compressor as well. At first I was told that the part was covered, but I would have to pay the labor charge of $500.00. I again called Frigidaire and spoke with Chanel who confirmed that I would not be responsible for any payments. The compressor was ordered (Part #5304476923). I have now been told by Petro Home Services that there was no ETA on this part. I again called Frigidaire on June 30, 2016 and spoke with Sandra and requested a new unit. She very blatantly told me that the unit was repairable, not replaceable.I wrote to Frigidaire telling them it has now been 6 weeks that I have been without an air conditioner, with my apartment reading 90 degrees in the middle of a heat wave. I am a senior citizen and cannot live in these conditions. I either need this unit to be repaired immediately; replace the unit with a brand new one or refund me so that I can purchase another air conditioner. I am tired of getting a run-around and need immediate action, otherwise I will purchase another unit and take action against Frigidaire. With no response I bought another air conditioner that is working beautifully. They finally came and repaired the broken one with a new compressor and freon and I sold it at a loss, but at least my apartment has been cool the rest of the summer. I would never purchase another Frigidaire product again and would certainly make sure my relatives and friends would not either.

I purchased a gas Frigidaire oven from Lowes and the electrical panel stopped working after 13 months. Frigidaire gave us a replacement panel but we had to pay $200 for the labor. Prior to the problems with my Frigidaire stove, I also purchased a Frigidaire dishwasher and refrigerator from Lowes internet site. It took one month for delivery of the dishwasher and three months for the delivery of the refrigerator! After 13 months, the electrical panel stopped working on my dishwasher too! Frigidaire supplied another panel but, of course, I had to pay the labor charges of $200 to have it replaced. The stove and dishwasher both have the Frigidaire icon in cursive. Needless to say, one month after the panel was replaced on my dishwasher, it is out again. So I am out the cost of the dishwasher and the repair. I spoke with Lowes customer service department and was told that according to their company policy, I will not get any further assistance from Lowes despite the acknowledgement that Lowes sold me two products that seem to have bad electrical boards. I do not use the self-clean option for my Frigidaire stove in fear that it too will fail again.

I have what I consider a fairly new machine - bought in 2010. It has operated well with minimal use since my children have been grown since its purchase and since we own two homes (both with laundry) and use this less than half time. The last load I washed was fine. As I put a new load in, the error light showed E90 and it beeped. I could not get either to stop, so pulled out all the manuals that came with the washer and dryer that I got from Sears. Spent quite a while reading through all 3 to no avail. So looked online. Still there was nothing to let me know what the problem was. By this time I was feeling very frustrated. So I found an 800 number to call. I was shifted to 4 different people, repeating info several times. By the time I got to a tech, I was very frustrated. Then she could not find the particular Error code - Even with the info on her computer and available from me as to the specific machine! That seems strange. However the tech seemed to be sure that the problem is the computer board. Not sure thats the correct term. My last washing machine lasted over 20 years with no need for repairs. So I am extremely disgusted to find that the board will cost over $200.00 and the service fee will likely be at least $130.00. The tech tried to sell me an extended warranty for $215.00 (to save me money). This washer is only 4 years old! I feel hoodwinked. My washer in my other home is over 20 years old and is fine. Why would I ever buy another Sears product? Which is a shame, because I have gone to Sears for large appliances since 1971.

I moved into my home in April of 2014. It was supplied with all new Frigidaire appliances (oven, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator). After 6 months the front of the drawer of the oven began to pull away from the drawer. I called in November for a repair person to replace the front of the drawer. Let me say here that I did not speak to someone at Frigidaire. They get your zip code and then supply telephone numbers of people who do repairs for them. I waited from November 11th until December 31st for the part to arrive. It took the repair person less than 15 minutes to take the front off the draw and replace it with a new one. They did not replace the handle. A couple weeks later I receive a bill for the repair and I explain that the oven is less than a year old and this is covered by warranty. I then call Frigidaire and Im told that they would not cover the repair because it was cosmetic. I tried to explain that it was a manufacturing defect because I surely did not do anything that should make the front of the drawer to come off. They were rude and I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was placed on hold for nearly 30 minutes and was told she could not find a supervisor and I should take up the bill with the repair company. I then sent an email to the customer service department and have not heard back.I have tried to get to someone in the company but all their numbers just take you back to a customer service department with no power to resolve issues. I read my warranty and it does not cover knobs and handles but this was not a knob or a handle or misuse of the product in anyway. I wish I could afford to get rid of all of these appliances because I can tell as time goes on they will not stand by their warranties (service agreements) and the products are junk.

We purchased a home with Frigidaire Professional Series made by Electrolux.
We purchased a home with Frigidaire Professional Series made by Electrolux. I called Frigidaire to register my products, gave them all the model and serial numbers on a dishwasher, micro/oven, dishwasher, fridge and cooktop in the first day of taking possession. The microwave stopped working 3 weeks after taking possession. Called Frigidaire and was advised we had no warranty. This was a repeated request by me and was told the same thing, no warranty. In the meantime our dishwasher of 4 months leaked out onto the hardwood floor, causing damage. I again called Frigidaire and conveyed my observations on performance and poor quality... Stating the microwave hasnt worked since week 3 of taking possession. The oven spikes in heat or doesnt cook in the allowed time in other ovens and that the dishwasher only worked on one setting and leaked 4 months within use. It leaked on a Saturday and Frigidaire does not provide after hours service. On Feb. 2/2015 I called and asked them to reimburse us for the new dishwasher and the cost of repairing our floor. To which they said No. Finally we were asked for our purchase contact on our home and the receipt for the new dishwasher (we did not purchase their product). We were then asked to produce the purchase agreement, a copy of the service call for the dishwasher and the receipt for the newly purchased dishwasher. Customer service then back dated our warranty to April 11/14. They then, wanted the virtual information that was stuck on the dishwasher. Since we had no warranty as we had it recycled, never to be used for another to suffer damages as we did. Because we could not produce the sticker, we offered the warranty card with all the information and the user manual with the same on it. This was not acceptable to them. We forwarded the service report which clearly states the reasons that this serviceman could not and would not in good conscience repair it as it was poor quality could not guarantee it would not leak again. He told us it would cost us more to try to repair it than it actually cost and we should get a new one. We have not been reimbursed the cost of every appliance, which is all of the Frigidaire Professional Series. When I say all, I mean everything in our kitchen has broken down. Since our dealings with this company and their poor quality products, we have been forced to replace it all. Customer service agents are not diligent in executing customer expectations, nor do they respect you enough to make notations such, as your name and address and simple tasks like registrations. The service company they have hired to do the repair to the micro/oven ordered the wrong part and it has now been almost 3 months and we are still waiting. Have any of you ever figured out how much you pay for your appliances when it gets lumped in with your mortgage? I would never recommend this companies products, nor will I buy them and should I purchase another home, Frigidaire/Electrolux are a deal breaker!

It has been a pattern of trying different things without success. The current repair company has told us that the machine is not repairable and has also told the Frigidaire, but Frigidaire technicians keep insisting on trying different things.Throughout all this, We have had a total of 5 visits from the repair companies. I had to miss 3 days of work because I have to be home when they go to the home. The second company was able to work on Saturdays, but Frigidaires technicians are not available on weekend so the repair person cant talk on the phone with them while they look at the machine. I have complained about their process without any success since we still dont have a machine that works. I have spoken with 3 supervisors and one manager and keep getting the same message that their technicians still want to try something else. So they shipped some cables supposedly next day delivery on the week of 12/13 so we set up an appointment on 12/20 for the repair company to show up. The cables never made it to the home so I canceled the appointment with the repair company.I spoke with Frigidaire and now the cables were going to be deliver on 12/31 so I set another appointment with the repair company on 1/3. The cables never arrived on 12/31 so I canceled another appointment. Now Frigidaire tells me that the cables will not be deliver until 1/6/17. By now we are on two months in with a machine that is supposed be new and does not worked. I was also told by one Frigidaires support technicians that their notes showed repairs done in 1/16/16 for a similar issue with the door, before I actually moved to the new condo, purchased the condo on 2/16/16 with all new appliances. Unfortunately they are all from Frigidaire and given my current experience with this company I will never purchase and will tell friends to not purchase from this company. This also means that when the cables actually get delivered I will have to miss a 4th day of work so that the repair person can see the machine. It has been a nightmare dealing with Frigidaire as they are very insensitive to their customers needs, they seem to not care for their customers as we are now two months in without a working machine. Thank you.

I purchased a Frigidaire stove oven combo from Lowe’s. Within 3 weeks, we realized with the oven set at only $350, it made the top front of the unit so hot it would burn. Upon calling Lowe’s, they suggested we call the service number for the manufacturer. I was on hold for so long. When I finally got help, they told me it was normal that the oven vented there. The other vent is back by the left burner. However, that area never got hot. So she said the warmer top front was within the manufacturing guidelines. I asked if they would just send out a repair man to verify nothing was wrong. She refused and said I would have to pay for any call myself. If I had little children, having this unit in their home would have been considered abuse. Here I am only two years later and last night when setting the oven at 425 it began burning and smoked out the entire kitchen. Never buy Electrolux products either as they own Frigidaire. And yes I tried to contact their customer service for help and that number was disconnected!

I purchased a front loading Frigidaire washing machine approximately 18 months ago. It came with a one year warranty. Several weeks ago it ceased spinning properly and then not at all. The repairs cost me $348 on a machine that had cost approximately $600 new. It has had no heavy use in the intervening period. I see online that this problem is not uncommon and recommend that anyone considering buying Frigidaire appliances think twice before doing so.

In 2010 I remodeled my kitchen and thought I was purchasing a great product from a company located close to my home. The professional series complete kitchen. Within 4 months the refrigerator quit (under warranty). I called and service tech was sent. The diagnosis code was CY SE or communication error. They replaced the unit after 1 and 1/2 months without a fridge. The new unit lasted just 13 months and same error code (now out of warranty). Repair with new computer and display board, cost $379. Less than 1 year and same issue and repair, cost $405. Now again same issue. Service Tech ordered new boards installed. No power. Ordered next set no display but it had power again. Bad board. Service Tech called Frigidaire service tech and was told 9 out of 10 of the boards we have at distribution points are no good. Now I have been out of a working refrigerator for 1 month. May not be able to get another computer board for at least week since there are none in close supply. If it is able to be repaired it will be another $400. Customer service rep told me today there is nothing she could do since it is out of warranty(Mfg date: 08/10). She also said Dont you realize things break? Cost for 3 years including purchase, install, cost of repairs so far $3308.

I have never been so disappointed and angry over a purchase. I recently built my dream home and was very excited. All my appliances are Frigidaire and had always thought it was a solid product. My one yr warranty had come to an end this past May. For several weeks now my dishwasher had not been getting the dishes clean but it would work well enough when run on heavy mode. I do not use it that often so it was more of a bother than anything until I noticed several pieces of wood flooring popping up and realized I had a leak of sorts. The builder came to take a look and we saw that water was pouring out from under the dishwasher. There was mold growing. As luck would have it my ice maker in my Frigidaire freezer stopped working as well. I called Frigidaire and was told I would have to pay for the repairs myself as it 6 months out of warranty. I have such concerns as all my other appliances are made by Frigidaire as well. So now not only are my relatively new appliances not working but I have damage to my new home. All of which I have to pay for because this company did not make a quality product. It is just myself and my daughter who is 7 that live in my home so how much wear and tear can 2 people do in a little over a year. My builder who is one of the largest in this area in NC was disgusted as well by the response from Frigidaire and told me its not the first time he has heard this and will no longer be recommending using them in the homes he builds as he wants to keep his reputation of quality homes. I can only tell people I know to NOT buy products by this company and if you do dont expect them to do the right thing. I had a Kenmore for over 15 years without any problems and I will be replacing my Frigidaire. I understand that things break but when something is so new and has very little wear and tear it is robbery. Now I am left with the repair cost of both as well as the cost of the damage to my new home.

I sooo wish I could include a photo of the itty bitty piece of nasty cutting gashing scarring metal that is affixed to the lower half of the dryer door on top of my matching front - load washer. It runs across my forearm as it automatically comes at me incessantly. I wish I could say, Whaa, it scratches me and I hate it... Rather, it cuts me, gashes me and has thus far left three quite distinct marks that come and go with the sunny days...Oh, except for one; its red and is there all the time. On April 4, 2015, I was preheating my Frigidaire wall oven at 400 degrees F. Luckily, I was standing in the kitchen, because the heating element caught on fire for no apparent reason. I turned the oven off and the fire went out. There was no food in the oven or on the heating element. I called their customer service department and talked to a representative, who insinuated that I caused the problem by allowing food to remain on the heating element, which is completely untrue. I am frustrated and will never purchase any appliance or anything from Frigidaire again.

I bought a new Frigidaire dishwasher model FFCD2413UW at Lowes. Biggest mistake ever. Problem one, there is no mention anywhere about the fact that you must buy additional parts to install your dishwasher. This caused two 70 mile round trips. Problem two, The door on this dishwasher has no latch. With no latch to click to open it you must employ brute strength to open it.Problem 3, once you get this piece of junk open the door wont stay open. The problems here are numerous but the most aggravating is that when you open the door to load the dishwasher and pull the bottom rack out, the door starts shutting on its own sliding the rack back into the dishwasher. I have been employing a brick to hold the door down while I load the dishwasher. Problem 4, I thought my previous dishwasher was loud. This dishwasher drowns out every other noise by a mile. We have been setting it to come on later, it only has one setting for this, 4 hours. So now around 2 am the entire family meets in the kitchen to find out what the racket is about.

This occurs on all 3 devices where it will simply start to make a humming or buzzing sound - sometimes soft and sometimes loud. At times almost a grinding sound. Granted some devices make sounds as part of the normal functioning, but this does not seem normal at all. I would never buy their products again.

He was so concerned he disconnected the entire appliance. 2 years ago, we were without a stove for a month when the last stove was recalled. Now I am worried this stove could be a potential hazard too. I asked Frigidaire if they were having problems reported; they will not tell me any of that information. I just want to let you know about Frigidaire products! I purchased an entire kitchen suite one year ago, the Frigidaire Professional Series. Within four months, the refrigerator broke. When the repairman came, he said he couldnt fix it, and I was issued a new refrigerator. However, since they had to get it from the original place I purchased them, I had to wait about a week for the replacement. Oh, and no, they did not replace any of my food, which I lost. They told me that is not covered! Less than a year after the purchase, the dishwasher began to leak all over my pergo floor, so I had the repairman come, which luckily, it was still under warranty. Less than one month later, on Christmas eve, when I had all of my Christmas eve dinner plates in the dishwasher ready to wash, once again, the floor flooded, leaving me with a bunch of dirty dishes, and a flooded floor. Nice, right? Its just what everyone wants to do for the holidays! I called the repairman, but I also contacted Frigidaire to see if they were going to stand behind their products, and they told me they couldnt pay for the labor, because the warranty was over by about three weeks! Really, are you kidding me? They finally agreed, after I threw a fit, that they would cover the repair of the dishwasher. I had, for 11 years previous to this, Sears Kenmore products, and never had the repairman at my house for them! I am so surprised that Electrolux would even be connected with such terrible products! I wouldnt purchase a toaster if it had Frigidaire on it! I have sent an email to their corporate office, and hopefully one of them will have the decency to call me, regarding their products.

I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator model #LFHG225ITF3 in May of 2019. In December the ice maker stopped working. I replaced the filter and an external line filter and it still didnt function so I called service. A young man all of 20 years old if that showed up and looked in the freezer. He then proceeded to make a phone call and made the repair by getting instructions by whomever he was speaking to. He said, OK its fixed and left. 24 hours later still no ice. I called the repair line again and demanded a different service company. The next company showed up and again a young man got on the phone with someone. He declared that the ice maker had to be replaced. By a diagnosis over the phone. That was 2 weeks ago. I just called service again and got a complete runaround. She called the company that was supposed to order the part and replace it and got their answering machine. When I told her I could have had the part in my hand in 24 hours if I had ordered it from Amazon she just kept repeating her script over and over. I told her I want a new refrigerator if the people that they have servicing their appliances cant even replace an ice maker. I cant have one, she said, because the unit has not been deemed unrepairable. So if I dont hear back within 24 hours she will send out a third company. To waste a third day of mine waiting for them to show up and potentially not fix the unit. This game, according to the representative, could go on and on until someone can fix it. Bottom line, be very worried about getting a problem solved by Frigidaire. I have never experienced such nonsense. They are subcontracting with the worst of the worst to service your expensive purchase. Buyer beware!

I fail to see that on any ad or paperwork at the time of purchase - nor did the repairman say anything about locale, he did state when asked that he would put it in the report that pad was not covered at installation - he did not! When I moved into my house in July 2012, the Frigidaire kitchen appliances
When I moved into my house in July 2012, the Frigidaire kitchen appliances were all new: refrigerator, gas range, dishwasher, and microwave. They were the lower-end Frigidaire models -- but I was okay without having any bells and whistles. I registered them all right away. Within 6 months, one of the refrigerator door shelves had cracked in half (apparently a gallon of milk was too heavy for it), so I had to buy a replacement part. Within 18 months, the door switch on the microwave malfunctioned -- which meant that anytime the microwave door was closed, the microwave turned on! (Thank goodness that happened while we were home, or I imagine my house would have caught fire!) It was past the one-year warranty, and customer service was horrible and unhelpful. I would have had to pay a minimum of $150 to have it even looked at, plus the parts and labor, plus the cost to have a handyman take it down and then put it back up.The customer service representative even admitted that it wasnt worth repairing. I gave the broken microwave to the metal recycling guys and bought a Samsung (which I love). Now, a little over 2 years since I moved in, the glass inside the oven door SHATTERED when we turned the oven up to 425F to make a pizza. (I have a photo but I am not able to upload to this site.) Im thinking there must be a faulty seal in the door, but I really cant be sure how this even happened. Glass particles are falling out of the bottom of the door, so now we have to be careful when we walk in the kitchen. I am going to demand a new oven door from Frigidaire customer service: But at this point, Im saving up to buy a new gas range. I will NEVER buy a Frigidaire product again.

My husband and I purchased all new Frigidaire Gallery Appliances on 3-22-2014. On August 5, 2018 the compressor went out on the refrigerator with no warning at all. It had not been running warm, it was not making any noises, the freezer just shot up to 34 degrees and the next morning the refrigerator was at 59 degrees. This is at minimum an $800.00 repair. We did not purchase the extended warranty, it would have been past the time of use anyway. In speaking to customer service at Frigidaire their only response was they will make note of my dissatisfaction with the product she also commented had I purchased the warranty this would have been covered since you have up to 13 years after you buy a product from Frigidaire to get one. Clearly, this company does not care about customer service or making a top notch appliance. The dishwasher died after months requiring a $275.00 repair. We will never purchase another Frigidaire appliance!

We have purchased two Frigidaire Professional ranges, and neither will work. The part number is FPEF3081KF. Frigidaire is saying that the problem is the electrical service in this part of the US (Kansas), however, we arent having any problems with the Frigidaire Gallery, GE, Samsung, or Whirlpool appliances in this same small development. Supposedly Frigidaire is replacing one range (with what knows what), and says the other doesnt qualify because its not a manufacturing defect.I cant follow the logic there, since neither one will work. I guess Kansas must be the equivalent of a third world country and we just shouldnt expect to be able to buy appliances and actually have them work. Another Frigidaire representative says that replacement power supplies are being engineered, and they should be available in a few weeks. In the meantime, two military families are living without being able to cook. If you want logical and caring customer service, dont buy a Frigidaire. Frigidaire thinks its okay for people to wait weeks for repairs.

We have had continual issues with the double oven model number fpet3077rfa. Initial install the motherboard and fans burned and almost caught our house on fire. Then we used the self cleaning mode a few months later and the upper oven had several failures and took over 2 months to get it properly repaired. Now both ovens do not cook food evenly. The back half will be burned and the front half will not be fully cooked. Two weeks ago our convection/microwave model number fgmv154clfa completely stopped working. It is not the breaker and there is power to the unit. We have called a service company but they are two weeks out before they can make it here. Our refrigerator is making strange noises and with all we have had to deal with it is overwhelming. We spent a lot of money getting what we thought was quality, top of the line appliances that would last us 10 years plus and they have been problems since day 1. We purchased Frigidaire Professional appliances just over 2 years ago - double oven, microwave/hood fan and warming drawer. My issues with the oven were recorded here some months ago. Eventually, after a lot of wrangling and dishonesty on the part of Sears, Sears was forced by me into a buyback and replacement. This last week, we found that the microwave had ceased to heat. So now, in order to preserve the product coordination of our kitchen, Im now forced to purchase a new unit. The failed one states on the label that it was only produced in December 2009. It was installed by me in May 2010 and has been used only to thaw out bread and for heating frozen peas and suchlike, never for cooking as such. I would estimate its use at no more that 15 minutes or so per week.So this time, Im paying for a 4-year extended warranty and will take great delight in calling Sears out at the first hint of any trouble with it. Frigidaires Professional range of appliances are complete and utter junk, inherently unreliable and not fit for their intended purposes. The reliability of them is appalling beyond belief. My advice to anyone and everyone: Dont buy anything with a Frigidaire label on it, youll regret it if you do.

Called Frigidaire and they told me my model stove was involved in a recall due to gas leaks and the potential risks that causes but my serial number is not within the correct range so even though I am having the same issue as the recalled stoves they will not do anything to assist in fixing the stove. The company was uncaring regarding the potential risks due to their faulty gas range and said I was on my own to fix it. I would never again buy from this company as I have also had issues with my Frigidaire washer, dryer, and dishwasher. If a company will not correct issues with their faulty products they should not be supported. In May 2015 we bought a brand new/just built home in RI. We bought 4 Frigidaire appliances for the kitchen (Microwave, Stove, Refrigerator, and dishwasher). In May 2016 I PAID Electrolux/Frigidaire to extend my warranty on the refrigerator. In the last week, Ive received multiple emails from Best Buy offering to extend my warranty on ALL this equipment. I called Electrolux/Frigidaire to clarify the status of the refrigerator, AND I dug into my files to find the 2016 agreement. To my shock, I discovered that the agreement I paid for in 2016 listed a completely different refrigerator, that THEIR records claimed Id bought from Lowes in 2014! Ive NEVER bought any appliance at Lowes, and in 2014 I lived in a completely different town and state than they had listed. This was DEMONSTRABLY THEIR DATA-CAPTURE PROBLEM. I wanted them to honor the warranty I PAID FOR and apply it to the correct appliance, the one that is actually standing in my kitchen now... The one I bought in 2015. THEN, I would have re-upped the contract, which was due to run out a month from now. THEY WOULD NOT DO THAT. Their only offer, return to me the pro-rated amount of my premium, which means probably 2 or 3 dollars. Meanwhile, IF my refrigerator had suffered a problem a month ago, or last year, I would NOT have been covered. In closing the data mistake could NOT have been made by me. It is literally impossible that I could have randomly invented model and serial numbers that match a refrigerator that is a different model, bought in a different year, from a different big box store. So, its demonstrably Electrolux/Frigidaire fault. And WHAT are they willing to do to make it right? NOTHING. ZERO. NADA. I shall never again buy: another Electrolux/Frigidaire product, or an extended warranty from ANY company. They are (Ill use the word again) DEMONSTRABLY a RIP-OFF!

I recently remodeled my kitchen. I bought all the professional series Frigidaire appliances. I wish I had not done that. They were very expensive. I can not believe how cheaply made they are and feel as well. The appliances are not even 3 months old and yet I have had the service tech/company to my home 3 times already. Microwave will not heat. My refrigerator barely makes ice yet the cooling drawer freezes everything (This is a drawer inside the refrigerator that should keep things a little colder than the rest of the refrigerator). I have had to throw out vegetables and other food as it freezes everything. The dishwasher racks are so flimsy... I get nervous that it will not be able to hold the weight of dishes or glasses that I put on them. I would love to have my reliable old appliances back that did not cost me a fortune. I would not recommend buying anything Frigidaire. I would recommend GE profile and or Kenmore. Never ever had a problem with these reliable brands.

New stove and the smell that comes off of it goes in to the food that I am trying to cook in the oven... Have ran it through a clean but it still smells and smokes. NEVER buy a Frigidaire stove. If I cant get rid of the smell in one more cleaning I will need to scrap the stove and get a different brand. They dont care as when I called they just said, Yes, it will smell for a while because of the oil etc. in the stove. Not good... Your eyes burn when it runs a clean and there isnt anything in the oven. I am just running another clean to burn off the crap... But it doesnt seem to be working. UNHEALTHY.

I purchased a Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator back in November 2011. It had the refrigerator on top and the freezer drawer was on the bottom. The Icemaker that dispensed ice was up in the freezer section. I found a couple weeks ago after pulling the refrigerator out to investigate something that there was a chunk of ice that had eaten its way through the back of the refrigerator and was rusting up all around it. When the repairman came out, he said it was a common defect found with this model (#FGHB2844LF7) because Frigidaire had not put any sealant around the ice maker so the air from the fridge was making direct contact with the air in the ice maker and was causing ice buildup in the ice maker which built up over time. The result was that the build up of ice ate a hole through the back of the refrigerator and that it was losing efficiency. The worst part was that as the ice would melt and drip down over time, it was slowly working into the wood floor and causing it to warp. If you have this product, I would look into this to ensure you dont have the issue. The repairman said this product should have been recalled years ago.

Bought this in July 2017. Tho is is the style that has the freezer in the bottom. The first thing that broke was the visual temp lights. They just quit working one day. Next, the freezer handle is falling off. Next, it states the water filter last so many gallons or replace every 6 months. We are retired, no children, no one but us two. We must spend $72.00 every 4 months. This is pure junk. I wish I had my old Kitchen Aide back.

We have had the refrigerator for less than one year. The ice maker leaks into the refrigerator and the ice becomes one. The ice maker was replaced one time and three times it is either a new gasket or this time they used silicone to seal it. The fourth time was Saturday, April 30, 2016. He used an adhesive to complete the seal. By Sunday, May 1, 2016, it was leaking again. There is a serious flaw in this refrigerator. Please do not purchase this model refrigerator. Do not purchase Frigidaire. The last call to them was I dont open the refrigerator enough to let warm air in. Such an unprofessional company. Move on. There are so many reputable companies. I am trying to get the refrigerator replaced. CONSUMER BEWARE!

I have had to call them out to adjust the doors. On the second trip I also pointed out the crisper drawers. The wheels are cracking and falling off. I was informed that those parts are not covered under my extended warranty. This was a very cheaply made refrigerator but an expensive one. It is so shoddily made. I only purchased this brand because the rest of the appliances were in the kitchen when we bought this house last year. Never again will I purchase one of their poorly manufactured refrigerator. If I want to fix it I would have to pay 187.00 I was told by the repair man. Its just over a year and half old. There are 2 people in the house over 60 so it was not abused. I have never in my 40 years have had a fridge repair. One fridge lasted over 20 years. Because it was a Whirlpool. Model Number FFHB2750TD Serial Number 4A91210068. Now I will go and post other reviews as well as file a BBB report.

Keeps losing refrigerant. I have had this freezer for 4 and 1/2 years, the tech just left. This is the 3rd time it has needed service, all for the same issue. It has taken 3 to 4 calls before its “fixed”, at least until next year. Once a year I have to call them, this is just ridiculous, cause they do not want to replace their product. I will not buy another appliance from Frigidaire. It’s sad because it was almost always a good company before Electrolux bought them. Thing is I have a 22 year old Electrolux vacuum that I love.

We bought the Frigidaire Professional Series package from Build.com and since we installed everything in our new home we have had unresolved issues, dozens of service repairs and no resolve on multiple issues. The refrigerator makes loud noises (sounds like an airplane jet & chirping sounds). The oven racks do not slide in and out with ease and are scraping the coating off the inside of the oven and the surface cooktop is discolored with rust. Frigidaire did replace the range with another but we have the exact same issues again. The dishwasher never dries out and Frigidaire told us to leave the door ajar in between wash cycles.Every time we call Frigidaire we have to explain our situation over and over. The representatives just keep sending service repair out to work on brand new appliances. 4 different repair companies have been to our home since July 2016 when we moved in. The repair shops have even contacted the Frigidaire factory technicians to tell them we need a full refund on everything and Frigidaire declines the request. We have filed a complaint with the FTC and tried so many times to get our money back. Every time we request to speak with a supervisor who can resolve our problem they tell us we have no one else to talk to. Frigidaire refuses to own up to the defects in the Profession series line. Frigidaire does not stand behind their products.

I havent had the range too long, but so far I am very happy with it. I have used the oven several times without a problem. The range also has a griddle in the middle which operates nicely. I had a hard time setting the temperature on the over, but found out it was very easy. So far, the like the range very much.

In May of this year I purchased one of this refrigerators for use in my own home. It arrived with a cracked fruit/vegetable drawer, and I called to have a new one shipped over. I had to do this twice before I received a drawer that was not cracked before arriving at my home. Recently, one of the 1/2 gallon door bins developed another large crack. This time, calling their customer service I was told that such an issue was outside their warranty terms (since it was not akin to a failed motor, leaking coolant system, etc.). Things like bins, trays, & handles are only covered by a 30-day policy. I was informed that I could order a new bin from them for $42 (plus shipping, I assume).Overall, I have mixed feelings regarding my experience with this refrigerator & with Frigidaire. The fridge keeps a stable temperature and so does its basic job, but many of the components (drawers, bins) appear to be of poor construction quality as they are made of plastic that is too thin and are therefore brittle. Their warranty policy seems to be specifically designed with this in mind, so as to minimize the companys responsibility for their own penny-pinching.

Bought all new appliances for our house when we purchased it. All were Frigidaire. The Refrigerator didnt last 6 months. The control board, fan and ice maker went bad. We had it repaired under the extended warranty plan we purchased from Lowes. The repairs lasted a couple weeks and it failed again. This time the whole refrigerator was replaced. The new one was no better. 2 ice makers have failed and now the control board is failing and we have to listen to it beep day in and day out. Reset button and alarm mute both dont work. The fridge and freezer are working properly but the board doesnt. Stay away from Frigidaire. Even our dishwasher and dryer are constantly having issues. It has gotten so bad I removed the dishwasher and threw it away.

I have purchased three Frigidaire appliances in the last month and only a single one (microwave) is functioning properly and/or installed. I am on the third side-by-side refrigerator and either they are delivered with damage (under packaging which means it is done at the factory) or they have loud compressors at times, and a convection range no one seems to know where it is..Shipped half a month ago and keeps missing delivery dates. I have communicated with a RShaye at Frigidaire and she has stopped responding indicating a total lack of caring whether I ever receive the products I paid for a month ago.

I purchased a FRIGIDAIRE GALLERY, which included dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, washer and dryer, at the end of 2012. The refer was about $2000. The ice maker started leaking. I took it apart and found the small ice tray inside the maker was cracked which allowed the water to overflow into the ice below and cause a blockage. I attempted to purchase the tray. What a fiasco. After wasting an entire morning working and searching for this part, I finally got through to the company. I was told that I am unable to purchase the $2.00 plastic ice tray separately, like LG and Samsung allow you to do. I need to replace the entire ice maker. I AM TOTALLY PISSED. The ice maker is $110.00 and the tray is $2.00. What a piece of crap. I will never purchase another FRIGIDAIRE PRODUCT EVER.

Bought a brand new side by side Frigidaire refrigerator, and within a month it started to freeze everything on the refrigerator side. I called Frigidaire and they referred me to a repair Co., and I set up a time for the repair Co. to come out and fix it, which they did. But then a month later it broke again and started to freeze every again. To make a very long story short I have had a repair company out to fix the fridge 5 times. This last time I filed a claim to get my money back with Frigidaire because it is a joke of a product that still does not work. Well after 3 months after filing my claim and 3 months of talking with many different people at Frigidaire, who all assured me they would get right on it and get me my money back, because they all agreed it was a piece of crap that was costing them more money to fix than replace. I was just told that since the original claim was 3 months ago and that the technician was out 3 months ago, that his report was no longer valid because his report was over 30 days old. I asked what do you think could have possibly changed with the fridge since the last time the tech was out? So you think, it somehow magically repaired itself? I swear her answer was well something could have changed so we need to send someone back out or we wont process your claim. I have called them 3 or 4 times a month asking for an update since I filed the claim and each time got the same answer of sorry no updates yet then was told 3 months later that we had to start the process over again.Since I started the claim 3 months ago, I never got a single call back from them. I had to call them every single time and usually wait 30+ minutes on hold. So when I was told this as about how the tech report was more than 30 days old and had to start all over again, I nearly lost it. They have been by far the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life and I would avoid buying one of their products like the plague.

I hardly ever write reviews, particularly if I am dissatisfied with a product or service. Ive always figured a mental note to steer clear of further patronizing a particular establishment or buying a product were enough for my personal satisfaction. However, my experience with purchasing a Frigidaire stove from Colders (333 S 108th St, Milwaukee, WI 53214) warrants a stern warning to other consumers TO BEWARE... I STRONGLY DISCOURAGE ANY CONSUMER anticipating doing business with COLDERS or purchasing a FRIGIDAIRE appliance.First off, I bought a Frigidaire stove and refrigerator from Colders in October 2016. Now, for the second time since October, the stove is malfunctioning, for the exact same reason as the first time... Which happened just a few weeks after the stove was purchased. As if the malfunctioning stove isnt enough of an inconvenience, we were informed by the 3rd party repair technicians contracted by Colders/Frigidaire to service their appliances, that the earliest someone could come out to repair the stove was Friday. The stove went out on Sunday. Because the hours of operation for the repair tech also sucks, the earliest we could report the malfunction was Monday. As of today (Wednesday), the repair date has since been pushed back to next Monday because the techs dont have the repair part in inventory. My mother is a senior citizen, and for the second time since October, is without a stove for in excess of a week. The first time the stove went out (did I mention for the same reason), my mother was without a stove FOR TWO WEEKS!!! On both occasions, my mother and I contacted Colders, who referred us to the repair techs. As aforementioned, the response time absolutely sucked! The initial appointment IS ONLY TO CONFIRM THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM. The repair tech pre-orders the replacement part (without seeing the appliance), based on the error code and hopes that the part is what is needed to rectify the problem. In our case, it was not! So, for the initial malfunction, the tech had to schedule a second appointment to complete the repair. I am anticipating this repair will work in much the same way. I am thoroughly disappointed in both the product and service at this point. We have requested that the stove be replaced, however we were informed that Frigidaire has to approve the replacement once the 3rd-party repair tech is on site. I am not optimistic.

Repair was done only to look like they placed tape over the cracks. Frigidaire Gallery Series only worthy of a shooting gallery. Upon purchasing our new townhouse from a developer we opted to upgrade our appliances - all of which were Frigidaire products including washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove. A garden hose and a table fan would have been more effective than either the washer dryer combo or the dishwasher. Despite being labelled as commercial, heavy duty, super capacity it doesnt take an active imagination to realize that it must have been opposite day when the marketing team drunkenly scribbled the copy they wanted to label the washer/dryer with. We consistently have to remove wet clothes from the dryer and run it again with only a handful of pieces. It usually takes three complete cycles on the highest heat setting to dry even the most modest load of laundry. The washer stops mid cycle on account of being over weighted with a single set of bedsheets The same goes for the dishwasher which takes over 3 noisy hours to run a single normal setting wash, only to find half the pre-rinsed dishes still need to be hand washed. Complete waste of money and time. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Updated on 05/27/2020: This is an update to a post of an original review July 18, 2019 on the Frigidaire FFAD5033R1 dehumidifier. I did receive a replacement unit from Electrolux later in the summer of 2019. I was surprised as it just showed up in a box at my door. I used the dehumidifier the rest of summer 2019 with no issues. It is now almost June of 2020 and Ive powered it up for the summer. I am very disappointed to say that its already displaying the FO error code. Not even a full summer of use to this point. Ive sent the required information to Electrolux, again. I dont understand why they dont fix whatever the issue is with these dehumidifiers, or totally scrap the design and start over.Original Review: I purchased dehumidifier in 2017, used for that summer and 2018. Turned on in 2019 and found that refrigerant had leaked out, due to rust all over evaporator coil. This explained a reddish color in water when I dumped the tank. I didnt see the rust until I removed the back cover to inspect. I contacted Customer Service. They send a form and instructions to complete for unit replacement. I complied, but its been 50 days and response. This unit was obviously rusting from the day I purchased. Ive seen other complaints with pictures showing the exact same issue that I had. The design is faulty and Frigidaire no doubt knows this, but assumes it will be out of warranty by the time it totally fails. This was the last Frigidaire product I will ever own. Buyer beware! If you do take a chance, you should probably remove whatever covers you can and inspect as soon as you get it home.
