Dryer Won't Start
Thermal Fuse. The thermal fuse is a safety device designed to protect the dryer from overheating. The fuse is located on the blower housing or at the dryer’s heat source such as the heating element on electric dryers or at the burner on gas models. The fuse should be closed for continuity meaning it has a continuous electrical path through it when good. If overheated the fuse will have no continuity meaning the electrical path is broken and the fuse has blown. A multimeter can be used to test it for continuity. Be aware that a blown thermal fuse is an indication of a restricted exhaust vent from the dryer to the outside. Always check the dryer venting when replacing a blown thermal fuse.
Dryer stopped spinning
Drive Belt. The drive belt is a very long, slender belt that wraps all the way around the dryer drum, around a tension pulley, and then around the drive motor pulley. Over time, the belt can break from normal use. If the belt is broken, the dryer won’t turn. To quickly determine if the belt is broken, reach into the dryer and turn the drum by hand. If the drum spins very easily, the belt is likely broken. Next, inspect the belt to confirm that it is broken. If the belt is broken, replace it.

Dryer takes too long
Air Flow Problem. If the vent is clogged or partially clogged, it will restrict the airflow through the dryer, substantially increasing the drying time. To ensure proper dryer performance, you should clean your dryer’s venting system at least once per year.
Dryer overheating
Heating Element. The heating element warms the air before the air enters the dryer drum. If the element is partially shorted out, it may produce heat continuously, even if the dryer has reached the proper temperature. When this happens, the dryer gets too hot. To determine if the heating element is at fault, use a multimeter to test each terminal for continuity to the case. If the heating element has continuity to the case, it is shorted out. If the heating element is shorted out, replace it.

Dryer tripping breaker
The Circuit Breaker is Weak. Over time, circuit breakers can weaken. If the circuit breaker is weak, it may trip too often, even if the amperage draw is below the limit. If you have already checked all of the potentially defective dryer components, consider having an electrician replace the circuit breaker.
Dryer makes noise
Drive Belt. The drive belt is a very long, slender belt that wraps all the way around the dryer drum, around a tension pulley, and then around the drive motor. Over time, the drive belt can become frayed or otherwise damaged. If the drive belt is frayed or damaged, the dryer will be noisy as it turns. Inspect the drive belt for signs of wear. If the drive belt is worn, replace it.

Very good build quality, much better than the hotpoint it replaced.
My old Tumble dryer gave up the ghost after 25 years and could not be repaired, So i started to look around and read reviews ect .And it seemed heat pump Tumble dryers are the way to go .. And this tumble dryer ticked all the boxes, and it had a 5 year warranty. Its very easy to use , It does take longer to dry the clothes . but its very cheap to run and way more economical than my old dryer. I also love the light inside the dryer , its a nice little touch
Look up who Grundigs parent company is, however at £20 more their "value range", it comes with a 5 yr guarantee. Heat pump is the way to go, It doesn't get hot so can dry delicates, and recycles the air so doesn't fill the room with moisture. Added to that it uses a 3rd of the energy of a condenser dryer - I think they are worth the price premium
I Purchased A Grundig GTN38250HGCW A++ as an upgrade from a 10 year old condensing C grand tumble dryer. I'm was very nervous about buying a new tumble dryer with a new type of technology, but after watching a few videos on how it works on you tube I decided to give it a go. Ok so the first thing to understand before purchasing a heat pump tumble dryer is that it will take longer to dry your cloths ! Once you accept that you will get on ok with it ! My old C Grade tumble dryer would take about 110 mins to fully dry a full load 6KGs , Great! - fast but expensive and it would always leave condensation on the kitchen windows . The Grundig Heat pump tumble dryer will do the same load in around 150 mins to fully dry a 6kg load - 190mins for 8kg load Grundig does claim that it will do them faster but this is restricted to 'cupboard dry- 60% dry' if like me you like your cloths to be dry when you bring them out they will take a little longer. As for energy consumption- I hooked up my electric consumption monitor to the power cable and was delighted to see that it does actually use half the power of my old C grade ! Ok so so if I set the program to the "Cupboard dry /60% dry" it would have probable used a lot less power and Grundig would be correct in their claims of energy consumption but I wanted dry cloths so yes it dose eat a little more power but still it is a lot cheaper. As for noise levels - well I've upgraded from a 10 year old machine that was very noisy so its bound to be better ! But I am presently surprised. I had read a lot of comments that said it was just to noisy. But to be honest for what it is and the job its doing I think its fine.
Easy to operate, easy to clean, easy to install. Quite lightweight for a full-size dryer. Various drying options. Tank full indicator. Does not overheat the room.
