I had my oven in the medium setting to clean, but was not in the kitchen at the moment when we heard a very loud noise that sounded like an explosion. Immediately thereafter, shattered glass was falling out everywhere it could come out of. Very frightening moment. Called KichenAid in the morning and explained everything. They will send someone out tomorrow and assess the situation. We just moved into this place six weeks ago. The day we moved here, the freezer was leaking and formed a sheet of ice on the bottom drawer. Here I was offered to buy one year of warranty and paid $320.00 for it. All appliances are KiitchenAid and were installed in September 2011. They are like new. I, of course, have no warranty on these appliances and think this is absolutely crazy that after short time for such expensive appliances, these things happen. I will report on how this explosion will be taken care of tomorrow!

My husband and I recently built a home and purchased the entire KitchenAid
My husband and I recently built a home and purchased the entire KitchenAid Pro suite for our kitchen which included a double oven, microwave, dishwasher, induction stove top and a built in refrigerator. The product was beautiful but after 4 short months of owning the products our induction stove top chipped, the sensor on the double oven failed and now our fridge is no longer cooling. We have taken countless days off of work to have a contractor come out to fix the appliances but we have come to the final straw with the fridge. Two weeks, two contractors and two refrigerator parts later we still do not have a fridge. My husband has called KitchenAid numerous times and the customer service is absolutely terrible. You call and wait on hold for a good 20-30 minutes then once you receive a customer support specialist, they tell you to call a nearby contractor and make an appointment. Better yet, the contractor comes out and has to order the part which takes a week and you have to take another day off of work because they dont work weekends. With all of the troubles we have faced with KitchenAid/Whirlpool appliances, I would not recommend their products let alone the company. We spent a lot of money on their products and yet we sit here for over two weeks waiting for a part to figure out if that will even fix the built in fridge. Whirlpool is a multi million dollar company and we have to wait to receive a new fridge until the contractor can determine it cannot be fixed, just a great use of our money and time.

I have a Kitchenaid Range KGSC308LSSO, purchased in 2003. Main control panel needs to be replaced again! The problem is that the range turns on by itself (500 degrees - time sets for 33+ hours!) This was witnessed by unbelieving repairman on 11/07/2011.This will be the third control panel in this expensive unit in 7 1/2 years. I contacted Kitchenaid and they were very sorry but would do nothing due to the age of the machine. This brand is just too costly and dangerous to own.

We bought this fridge in Oct 2019, it quit working completely in late March. The repair man has come out 4 times and has told us this refrigerator has all kinds of problems. He replaced the electronics and the compressor. Now we have to wait till the end of the month for them to replace the coils. Customer service is horrible, they will not talk about replacing it because we don’t meet the “CRITERIA”, for replacement. We have always bought Kitchen Aid appliances but never again they don’t live up to their past reputation. Where are the class action attorneys? Model KRFC704FBS01.

Superba Selectra Oven Glass explosion - While we were at the bedroom, my daughter heard a noise coming from the kitchen. It was like a loud crack. Then, we muted the TV and we heard a second loud noise and went to see. The glass from the oven was scattered all over the floor and even reached the living room and adjacent rooms. We all were saying we are lucky nobody was at the kitchen at the moment it happened, but now I think there are many similar cases and want to do something. This event happened yesterday night, 10-19-12. Today, we will contact KitchenAid about it but as we read from the other complaints, it looks like Kitchen Aid is not going to cooperate. Please, does anyone know if there is a class action suit or a recall?

I want to join in the conversation about NOT BUYING a KitchenAid refrigerator. Same problems as others. First water all over the floor from broken/backed up line. Now refrigerator completely stopped working. Service just left after stating that the main control board is fried. The servicer said he wouldnt even touch it until I spoke with KitchenAid because they no longer make the part and they will have to decide what will be done. Immediately called KitchenAid and was told they would have to file a claim and then decide what will be done. Its Tuesday. I have had no refrigeration since Friday and now I hear horror stories about the complete lack of response from manufacturer. Never Never Never buy a KitchenAid. I cant believe I did.

After several calls to KitchenAid they sent our service to replace springs, better but not great. They say no remedy for the gurgling. Unbelievable....This is a $9,000 fridge. We recently bought a kitchen full of appliances and have already had the double wall ovens replaced (after less than a year) and the ice maker in the refrigerator has NEVER worked properly. Kitchen Aid is a pro at disassociating themselves with resolving the problem. I have now had service on my refrigerator 4 times, replaced the ice maker only to have it still dispensing crushed ice I have neither selected or wanted. This time, they kept me on the phone for over an hour (really) as they passed me from person to person only to schedule service but not tell me that they did. Each time they come out, it will generate yet another visit if they need to order a part. AT WHAT POINT WILL YOU TAKE THIS APPLIANCE OUT OF MY HOUSE! I foolishly purchased the extended warranty for all my appliances - well this only lets the manufacturer off the hook because they push everything off to the extended plan that I paid for even if the problem occurred under the original warranty! What a hoax. LEARN FROM ME AND DO NOT PURCHASE THESE APPLIANCES.

I purchased counter depth refrigerator in 2017. My daughter and were getting sick. Months later I noticed the fridge was not cold. The evaporator was not cooling. The repairman put another one in and that one broke as well. They sent me a new fridge. It was dented but I took it. AGAIN...noise coming from evaporator area in the back panel. It was repaired and the ice cube maker stopped working well. A couple of months later it completely stopped. When fields appliance repair came out the older man leaned on the drawer I am guessing. The ice cube maker is finally working but the drawer is bent out on the upper right hand corner. There is warm air and air leakage on the upper right corner. Icicles and frost on the top inside seal with frost on the tray. I can easily put my fingers under the seal. My freezer is not cooling properly with air leakage. I wont mention the dent that they put in the frame of the door either. I want someone to fix my freezer door.

My KitchenAid dishwasher experienced failure of the detergent dispenser. I obtained a replacement part. To access the failed part for replacement, one first remove the front panel from the door. It is held on only by six screws. Inside the panel is a foam sound and heat insulation and panel brace/stiffener panel made from form-fitted polystyrene. It is glued to the panel surface and faces against at rubber liner on the inner panel. The design permits free removal of the panel/foam assembly.Unfortunately, the foam has welded itself onto the inner panel rubber liner, preventing the front panel from being removed without destroying the foam insert. This is a critical part, dampening noise, keeping the cycle heat inside the washer, and stiffening and bracing the panel. Whirlpool has discontinued this part and it no longer is available. Their only advice is to locate one form, an independent parts supplier who might have an old one in stock. Yeah, right! I have tried every parts place I could find on the Internet, but with no success. This dishwasher is around eight years old. I would expect Whirlpool to support it for at least ten years. I will not be purchasing any more appliances made or sold if (not) supported by Whirlpool.

KUDS30IXBL Superba Series Dishwasher - Having the same issues as the other
KUDS30IXBL Superba Series Dishwasher - Having the same issues as the other owners have described. The control board has died three times in 2 years. When I called customer service they said the control board was under a 5yr limited warranty and that they would send out a technician to fix the dishwasher. Keep in mind they select the repairman who comes to your house to do the work. What they do not mention is that you are responsible to pay for labor, the initial diagnostic visit AND the second visit to actually fix the broken device. The day of the scheduled visit, the technician calls to remind me that there is a $70 charge to just come look at the device. What angers me most is that even though this is a repeat issue, and that Kitchenaid/whirlpool chooses the repair company (who should fix the issue right the first time), the company will not take care of the labor fee. Their official line is we just take care of replacement parts and that I should take up labor issues with the technician. I feel like this process is put in place intentionally to take advantage of their customers and to absolve themselves of any accountability for their poorly manufactured product. This company is perfectly fine letting their customers total cost of ownership grow out of control. At this point, I could have purchased another dishwasher just from the cost of repairs. To summarize, this dishwasher is garbage and the company treats their customers like garbage. Another example of that is that I also own the front loading washing machine that has mildew issues (currently in a class action lawsuit). Their defense is that their customers should know how to properly use a washing machine. This is a great example of a company that does not stand behind their product nor do they care about their customers. Im sure there will be a class action with this line as well.

We purchased this one based on its advertised 1.5 Cu. Ft. Capacity. The capacity of this oven is not even close to that size. Even stretched the measurements only equaled 1.1 Cu.Ft. We are extremely disappointed and not sure how it can be so falsely advertised.

I am very disappointed with Kitchenaid. Our dishwasher was purchased and installed 18 months ago. Our use of the dishwasher was very light, maybe using it 2-3 times per week. We were also very careful to remove excess food from the dishes before putting into the machine. After 18 months, the dishes were not getting clean. A repairman came to assess and found that the motor/pump needed replacement. The cost of the visit was 98.79. To repair the machine would be an additional 364.00 plus taxes. It is ridiculous that Kitchenaid is producing such poor quality appliances which are essentially disposable landfill objects and will not take responsibility. Their warranties (very limited) are only good for 1 year from purchase.

We had this oven when we purchased the house and it was perhaps the appliance that was least used. Over the past several months we have been getting an error in the control panel F6E0 - Lost Communications. The error would sometimes solve by itself, but this time we waited for about a month before calling a technician. He told us that the control panel would be $700 and the problem may be solved. It may require another control panel replacement which is in the $200 range. Why would Kitchen Aid design products that would last for 5 years when the good old Electric ranges with much less electronics lasted for 20 years. Where is quality? Where is reliability? I perhaps should not blame KitchenAid alone on this. Since we are all demanding (or receiving) products that look more like a computer - we replace it as often as a computer and trash the old ones in China. Further, they declined to post my review on their website - Sure they dont want to see it on their site!

If youre thinking of buying KitchenAid major appliances, read the letter I recently sent to KitchenAid below. I got a legalistic form response offering nothing, not even an apology. They even got my name wrong. Never again.I am writing about a series of problems I have had with several large KitchenAid appliances. I have never written a complaint letter before, but the coincidental problems with your products reminds me of the planned obsolescence complaints from 30 years ago about American made cars. I thought about just posting all of this on the internet, but thought I should give you a chance to respond first. Here is my story. On December 2, 2004, I bought three major KitchenAid appliances as a part of a high-end kitchen renovation. A built in refrigerator was the big ticket item, but I also bought a gas stove/electric range, and a silent dishwasher, all brushed silver. Together, the three items cost me $11,494.35.Everything worked fine until this past spring, but within six months, all three appliances have had major problems. The compressor on the refrigerator failed. You covered the parts, but I paid over $600 in labor. A hinge on the door of the dishwasher rusted out, and I replaced it for over $300. Currently, the washer motor on the dishwasher is screaming every time it runs. Ive been quoted a cost of about $500 to replace it. What about the stove? This past summer the small control board (near the dials) failed, and I had to replace that at a cost of over $400. Last week, the large control board misfired, turning the oven my 16-year old daughter was using to make cupcakes on to clean mode, locking the door, setting the cupcakes on fire, and sending plumes of smoke throughout the house. Luckily, I was home from work with an injury, and thought to flip the circuit breaker. The fire died after about an hour, and the door opened when I put the breaker back on. I just replaced the big control board at a cost of over $500.All told, Ive paid over $2,200 to repair very expensive appliances that are less than 10 years old, and I still have a screaming silent dishwasher. How do you explain this? Planned obsolescence? If so, you certainly have the timing down pat. So why am I writing? I am hoping you will do the right thing by me and in making appliances that last. What is the right thing to do for me? Cut me a check for $2,200? Fix my dishwasher for free? Give me all new appliances and install them? Send me a letter of apology? Im not sure. I will leave that to you. I do hope someone responds. It might be cathartic for me to post a bunch of nasty reviews on the internet, but I hope there is a more constructive alternative.

At first, I would notice that every once in a while, it wouldnt get the dishes completely clean, and then it got to be more and more. I had a repairman come out today and he said it needs a whole new motor mechanism. This will cost at least $250 (we paid almost $1,000 for the dishwasher). In 2007, I purchased a KitchenAid refrigerator from Pacific Sales. The refrigerator made funny noises when it ran but I put a piece of tile on the interior metalwork and the noise went away. Seven years later in 2014, an alarm went off inside the control board indicating a problem with the evaporator cooler. As it turns out, KitchenAid or Whirlpool used substandard capacitors in their control boards leading to premature failure. Mind you, this is a $6,000 refrigerator. When I contacted KitchenAid, they informed me that the part was no longer available due to a tsunami in Japan. KitchenAid referred me to an aftermarket control board manufacturer that wanted $800 for the part. They said that they used to have the boards repaired but that was no longer an option. After following the instructions on Steve Jenkins blog, I was able to have the board repaired at Rockstar Computers in Upland, California. Total cost of the repair was $55.

Purchased KitchenAid dishwasher about two years ago thinking we were paying more to get a quality product. It has been instead inferior and troublesome. A long series of problems began from the start. Crooked footings that made it more challenging to install. Leaking door seal that needed to be replaced. Leaks from some undefined location that require we use and empty a drip pan. Plastic wheels breaking and not staying on track (dumping the full tray into the well) when sliding in full trays of dishes. Poor cleaning compared or prior cheapo washers. Flatware trays that wear out easily even while trying to be careful, and now to top it off, the unit has stopped rinsing the dishes entirely. What a huge waste of money!

Tonight at 5:45 pm the inside glass of my KitchenAid Superba built-in electric convection single oven exploded with such force that the glass shot across my entire kitchen and into my dining room. I had the oven on and was baking fish at the time. Luckily, my baby had just moved from her usual place on the mat in the kitchen or else she would have been utterly disfigured and seriously injured by the explosion of glass. I immediately phoned KitchenAid and they said they could send a technician on Thursday, January 5, 2012. The technician has just phoned to say he would just replace the glass and that this happens 100s of time a week and there is no guarantee that it wont happen again. When I asked for some certainty that the oven would be safe, he said he wasnt the designer and it wasnt his role to tell me that the oven would be safe in the future, then he said he refused to do business with me and put down the phone. I am appalled. We escaped lithely this time, but there is no way I am prepared to let it happen again. I think everyone should know how unsafe these ovens are. KitchenAid needs to withdraw these ovens from sale and, for me, they need to return my money so I can go in search of a different oven. I will once again be phoning KitchenAid to find out what they will do about the situation. I phoned Trail Appliance Edmonton South but they said their technician will phone tomorrow. They, however, did not seem to realize how serious the situation is. Does a child or someone has to be seriously hurt before something happens to have this oven removed from sales?

We moved into a newly built house and just as previous reviewer (Emma of Chester) we purchased KitchenAid appliances based on reputation and we prefer to buy American-made when possible. After 16 months of use, our microwave displayed error messages to open/close door and soon the microwave went black. We hadnt purchased an extended warranty because we expected a better product. Unlike Emmas microwave which had control panel on the bottom, ours is on the side. I feel KitchenAid cannot successfully design a venting microwave to install over a cooktop. For convenience we are replacing it with the same and an extended warranty for over $700. In the future we will always consider taking the extended warranty for any product. Bought this June of 2016. Looks great and worked great. Received the ultimate error code. PO flashed every 10 minutes or so. Fridge shuts down and restarts. Fridge and freezer parts stopped working correctly. Replaced the pantry Drawer UI PCB circuitry board and the harness attached as instructed by Whirlpool through an authorized repair facility. Six hours later, error code returns and there are no noticeable changes. Had the evaporator motor replaced at a follow-up date, as the original part was wrong that was shipped. This cooled the fridge and freezer correctly, but the PO error code returned.$800 later, tech support at Whirlpool has 2 or 3 more ideas as to what else it could be. The fridge is out of warranty and customer support can only offer me $75 to help for the $3,500 spent. My 14-year-old Conquest fridge by Whirlpool in the warm garage is working better and has only cost me $45 in parts since new for a new fan motor. The design problem is that there is a circuit board under the water dispenser, and no way to keep any leaking water from frying the circuit if that was ever a problem. Im hoping the next dart we throw hits the problem(s) and fixes the issue.

I used to use environmentally friendly dishwasher soap but had to go to a heavy strength brand now. Our compressor is broken on our refrigerator. The tech who came to repair it said the problem is that its a faulty compressor. This happens frequently, he said, and the company that made the faulty compressors that used to go into KitchenAid refrigerators went out of business a few years ago. One would think that if KitchenAid was using a part that it knew to be faulty it could at least give a discount on parts and/or labor when the part fails. Considering the cost of refrigerators today, its very disappointing that KitchenAid would allow customers to be charged an arm and a leg to replace a sub-par part.

We knew ahead of buying that the glass door is bad, and do not use the self-clean, but we liked the range. BUT... the burner knobs turn on with barely a bump (KitchenAid sent us a part to stop this, which turned out to be fillers for worn out knobs, and did not fit our model) AND the top under the burners and knobs is NOT PORCELAIN but JUST PAINT! If anything spills on it while cooking, the spill burns in and is NOT cleanable. I guess we should stop cooking and let the range cool and clean it! KA says this is cosmetic, and not covered or important. The top was covered by our extended warranty from Sears, and was replaced with no problems.KA Customer Service is a joke, and I now see that the new KA/Whirlpool is a joke, and manufactures only JUNK! We will NEVER buy from this company again. It is not the company that made our 27-year-old stand mixer! We have been lucky that we have had no serious, dangerous problems, only bad paint, and ovens that do not cook pizzas evenly. We are very happy with our Bosch dishwasher (its so quiet that you do not know that it is running) and our LG French door fridge with ice in the door, and bright white LED lighting inside.

Less than two months after installation, the lettering on the burner control knobs is dissolving off, and smears off with the touch of a finger. I called Kitchen Aid for new knobs, and they said they would send new control knobs as a one time courtesy. They do not consider it under warranty, as they call it a cosmetic issue. No chemicals, or abrasives have been used on these knobs. It is not a cosmetic issue, its an engineering defect, and a safety issue. Unless you want to live for years, with a range that has no lettering on the burner control knobs, dont purchase this range!

We bought a high quality KitchenAid dishwasher that leaked all over the floor 18 months later. Turns out the pump/motor assembly must be replaced at a cost of $459. The company could not care less. Im going to replace the motor assembly myself and I will never again buy KitchenAid even though my newly renovated kitchen was completely stocked with KitchenAid appliances. Ive never had such a problem with any other appliance in my 40 years of home ownership.

Purchased a KitchenAide Gas Range model number KGRA806P SS00 in 2006. Two years later the off pad stopped working, being on a very tight budget we learned to use the timer to turn off the stove thinking that we would be able to afford a new touch panel at a later date. Last year the whole touch pad freaked out when trying to use the self cleaning mode which we had used on several occasions before. The last two years before the oven stopped working all together the convection oven didnt cook evenly. This is the absolutely biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased! About the only thing I think this range is good for is to use it as a boat anchor! KitchenAide/Whirlpool should be ashamed of themselves for continuing to produce such a faulty product. All I can say thank you for is that I didnt replace the panel over and over again like some of these poor folks did.

We bought the 29 cubic foot french door freezer bottom fridge (KFIS29PBMS)
We bought the 29 cubic foot french door freezer bottom fridge (KFIS29PBMS) in the spring, and have had nothing but problems with it. When we received the unit, the door baskets and wide drawer were broken. I called support, and got a very friendly agent who shipped out new parts. In July, we noticed a large ice block forming in the top left corner of the fridge. I called support again, and got an average agent that said it is a known issue that they are making a part for, however it will not be ready until November. Last week I noticed that rust spots are forming on the front of freezer door, AND a fan or compressor now clangs horribly when the unit attempts to cool. It is loud enough that we cannot have a conversation on the main floor without being interrupted. I called support again, and spoke with a very rude agent. They are sending out a service tech, however we are really disgusted with the lack of quality in this product.

I made a choice to buy all KitchenAid appliances when I built my home. I have had problems with all of them. Mostly the refrigerator. The first one only lasted 9 years. (From what I read I did good.) They did give me a good discount on a new built in refrigerator (2001). Now this one lost all the refrigerant from a copper line that corroded through. Called to get it repaired and found that no-one is willing to come out to repair it. I did find a place that said $1900.00. Looks like its time to buy a different brand this time!!

I purchased new KA 5 burner gas range, French Door Refrigerator and Dishwas
I purchased new KA 5 burner gas range, French Door Refrigerator and Dishwasher in 2013. All stainless steel appliances. Did this purchased as I owned Whirlpool or Kitchen Aid appliances all my life. (Yes, Im over 60). The new appliances are just scrap. It took 4 refrigerators to get one that either wasnt damaged or the compressor was not froze up upon delivery. 4th one, door didnt close right upon delivery. We will take it back and get you a different one. NO! Im not waiting another 10 days for a new one. Youll fix this one. 5 days later they arrived with part. Good thing its under warranty guy says. They dont make a hinge. You replace the entire door for $500. Im thinking exactly what did I purchase here. Then I went to self-clean the oven. It had 2 spots where some cheese dripped off a pizza. Clean it off with damp cloth. Wiped it down with dry towel. Started clean cycle. When it was completed, the oven finish was either pitted or gone. I called KA. Response was, if you put foil on oven floor, that will happen. First off, I dont use foil on oven floor. Second, if I did, I wouldnt need to self clean the oven! DUH! They told me to call a servicer in the area. He says yep, some of them do that, the new floor panel is $67+. (I dont remember how many cents). So I called KA again. So I need to pay for this? Yes sir. But its only 2 months old. Its not covered sir. Listen, Im over 60 yrs old. I have owned Whirlpool/ KA forever. Never saw an oven do this. If it is that unreliable of a coating, just what chemical is it putting into our food? What happened to good quality porcelain? I dont know sir. I wrote Whirlpool an email. Explained this whole thing to them. Never did get a reply.I guess when a corporation does sales of $20 billion a year, you dont care about your customers or the product you turn out. At this point they are selling scrap on a reputation they used to have. Problem is, selling scrap products on a great reputation, catches up. With all the companies produced under the Whirlpool name, you need to research, and go to another separate, independent company from Whirlpool. I will never buy KA again, or Whirlpool. Their customer service just is bad. Nothing like it used to be.

This is an update to my post here on 11/24/2011. KitchenAid dishwasher KUDE70CVSS2, 1.5 years old, sanitized light was blinking at end of sanitize wash, i.e. water was not heated up high enough to sanitize the dishes. Finally, it was repaired today, 2/8/2012, almost 11 weeks since it broke. We had 8 service repair visits made by 4 technicians from 2 service repair companies. During this period, the printed circuit board was replaced twice. We were told our hot water supply was not hot enough by one technician who didnt come prepared with a thermometer. A different visit and technician with a thermometer measured it at 142 degrees, well above the 120 degrees the KitchenAid manual says is needed. We were told the problem was in our household wiring. That was a miscommunication between one service repair company and the extended warranty company. Then the entire washer unit with pump and diverter valve was replaced, today, the 8th visit, and the unit now sanitizes and works just fine. Now Ill tell you how to navigate through the bad technicians, miscommunications and so on that I learned after being frustrated when the second service call did nothing to fix the problem. Inside the kick panel of the KitchenAid dishwasher is a large folded paper enclosed in a waterproof pouch. It a technicians debug sheet that describes how to operate and analyze the results of a built-in self test. Yes, these dishwashers can perform a rather complete self test that concludes with a code indicating what the problem is. Read the sheet in your washer to understand the proper sequence of front panel button presses needed to begin the self test. But beware, the test in my washer can be run to either display the concluding results, or skip the display. You will need to run it in the display mode to read the results, duh. Duh, because the first technician kind of ran it in the other mode and never saw the result. None of the other technicians even ran the self test. It takes about 27 minutes to run, and you have to sit and watch the lights flash so as to catch the final conclusion. Huh, KitchenAid? The technicians would rather just replace stuff than wait 27 minutes to find out whats wrong. But I ran it, not just once, but many times, and I always got error codes 4-1 and 4-4. And the documentation says that one of the causes of a blinking sanitized light is error codes 4-1 or 4-4. Duh again, only on the 7th service call did the technician say lets see what 4-1 and 4-4 are and the answer was an issue with the diverter valve, so he ordered a new one, replaced it on the 8th visit and the washer runs just fine. So run that self-test, get the error codes, then insist the repair company fix the error reported by the self-test. With each technician, I point to the KitchenAid refrigerator I bought in 1987 that still runs well, and, each has chirped, dont buy another KitchenAid refrigerator. Im not buying another KA dishwasher either!

KitchenAid fridge model #: KFIV29KPMS03, S/N K43117611. Delivered: 9-16-14. Price: $3,038.00, including $ 199.99 for five year warranty. Issue: Defective freezer seal causes frost ice accumulation, see photo, below. 1st warranty call to KitchenAid 10-22-14 recd appointment for 10-27-14. Repair tech made a few adjustments. 2nd warranty call 11-12-14 recd appointment on 11-14-14. Repair tech said the seal looked good and, based on his experience, the factory fix was to put silicon sealant on the fridge to seal any seams or gaps. He was correct. My position: I expressed to the repair tech and to the factory trouble call reps that silicon sealant is not a permanent fix. The freezer seals installation, or seal design, or seal installation, or structure alignment, or something else was defective and that I was not in favor of applying silicon sealant to fix a manufacture defect. I also called RC Willey, the place of purchase and where I also purchased a five year warranty and expressed my issues. They deferred to the factory. If silicon sealant fixes this defect, why dont the display/floor models have it on them?Photo 11-14-14. Can anything be done to force KitchenAid to replace this obviously defective product?

I purchase a KitchenAid refrigerator (20.0 cu ft counter-depth) from Sears 12/20/14 ($1979.99). I purchased a 5-year warranty package from KitchenAid too. Six months later I found a big puddle of water on the kitchen floor coming from the freezer compartment. I called KitchenAid and when the woman asked me what was going on in the freezer (I told her frost was forming in the ice compartment); she told me that it was warranted under the first year and gave me a number of a company (Calif. Appliance Tech) to call. They came out on July 8, 2015 and told me the problem was the gasket on the left side hadnt been properly sealed and was letting air in. They left and a few days later someone from CAT called to tell me the part was ordered and it should arrive in 6 weeks. It never arrived. When I spoke to John on 9/18, he insinuated that I can still use the freezer which is not so. He told the part (freezer) has to be manufactured and I have to be patient as there is a long back order! In the meantime, CAT closed the case and it had to be re-opened when I called back on October 16th.What does this say about the crappy product? The freezer is completely frozen shut so I cannot open the door and have to make numerous trips to the market as I cant use the freezer. I went back to Sears in Santa Monica and told their customers in the appliance area not to purchase any product with KitchenAid in the name. I was very vocal to the shoppers about the horrible experience with them (Whirlpool owns them). I then spoke to John at Sears who took me to their computer and looked up the part KitchenAid told me had to be manufactured and the part is readily available.I am so angry with KitchenAid. They are liars! John at Sears told me the part with gasket could be purchased thru them but it will terminate my warranty and would cost me up to $1,000 to replace. I paid an additional $266 for the 5-year warranty. I am ready to throw in the bucket, call Goodwill to haul it away and purchase a product that doesnt have KitchenAid or Whirlpool in its name. John told me that had I purchased the Sears warranty this wouldnt have happened. How can KitchenAid get away with not providing the warranty they tell us we have? My last call was to Josh on 10/16/15 and was again told the part would arrive in 6-8 weeks.

We purchased all new kitchen appliances last September, 2017. Bought KitchenAid mainly because my dishwasher just died after 27 years, so we were pleased with its quality. We bought the items in black stainless. The electric stove top is the hardest top I have ever cleaned, I am a little ocd and hate smear marks on my stove top, and also it seems that the only thing to use to get burnt on spots or food off, is an SOS pad, referred to me by the owner of the appliance store. Also the so called Aqua lift for cleaning the oven, even after doing it twice in a row, is a joke! Still had to go in and clean up the grease and burnt on stuff, and then soak up all the water!! Also when turning on the oven, it seems to take forever to heat up to your desired temperature. Very disappointed, and will never buy KitchenAid again!!!

KDRS483VSS - DO NOT BUY KITCHENAID RANGES!! They dont know how to repair them and their policy is not to replace them but to repair them. I am talking about an $8000 dual fuel range that I have waited years to purchase only to find out that once it was delivered the only thing working properly was the gas top. This is a very classy looking expensive piece of JUNK metal. The hinges on the large oven dont pull the door closed enough to turn off the oven light and you have to press the door in to turn light off. I now have no working ovens at all and this was through the Thanksgiving Holidays. No one cared!!! The oven shows several error codes and now just does nothing. I thought that KitchenAid was a reputable company but that is not the case. This is a known problem with these units. After many complaints still no results!!

We bought our house in 2004 and immediately started anew with appliances, granite etc., in our kitchen. I chose KitchenAid because I owned it years ago and had great success. We bought the most expensive dishwasher, microwave, slide-in stove and trash compactor available, thinking it would last. As you know, this stuff isnt inexpensive. We purchased the convection slide-in stove (KESC308LSS0), which died on Thanksgiving Day amid turkey cooking. A halogen microwave, which died six months ago and had to be replaced with a convection microwave that sounded like a bucket of bolts until repair, arrived under warranty one month later. The dishwasher has plastic tabs in it on the slider for the rack that break and fall into the motor. We repaired this ourselves twice with new motors and rack sliders, which now have been redesigned without the plastic tabs. We needed a part for the stove but it is discontinued, so we will have to live without it. Thankfully it is just cosmetic. We await a new control board for the oven as we speak and if we are lucky, it will work; if not, we will have to pay someone to fix it. My point is 8-year shelf life? Discontinued parts? I will never buy KitchenAid again. If we had had to pay someone to fix all this stuff, it would have been very expensive. I am really disappointed.

This is our 2nd Kitchen Aid dishwasher. The first lasted 15 years, which is why we went back to the company. The top rack on this one is plastic (terrible idea!) and had to be replaced. I went to the Lowes where we bought it and the new design is steel ball bearings - much better. But that leaves me and my family in the lurch with an $800 dishwasher that needs an upper rack every 2 years. Lowes and Kitchen Aid have not been helpful, I had to buy parts, $75, to install myself because I didnt want to pay an additional cost to have a repairman come to the house. I think either Lowes or Kitchen Aid should step forward with a better solution.

KitchenAid would do nothing, stating it was a cosmetic problem. Same with the warranty company. After further research, I have discovered I am not the only one with this complaint. INCREDIBLY BAD PRODUCT. The good: the format of a small micro/convection oven over a large regular/convection oven works nicely for me as I can cook almost everything in the small oven and don’t have to waste energy on large oven except special occasion cooking. That said, the electronics went out twice in first couple of years, had to be completely replaced. Now I’m never sure if oven will work on any given day.NEXT: the first time I tried to use the clean program, about a half hour in, I heard a very loud crash and rushed in to kitchen to find glass all over. The whole glass door exploded all over. I eventually got it replaced but now am afraid to use it again. The bell which signals “done” and the timer itself long since stopped working and the turntable doesn’t turn. Today I found the glass top part of the turntable in pieces large and small. I’ve no idea what caused this. I’m worried that a replacement brand will not fit into the custom built in space I will have when I try to dump this headache. P.S. Read my review of KA dishwasher and immersion blender, neither of which are favorable. I have learned my lesson about this brand.

KitchenAid refrigerator model #KSCS25INSS01 failed, quit and died - This refrigerator quit working after only 5.6 years. It was the main control board. The fact that I lost some food wasnt the real issue for me. It was the response I received: We are very sorry, the control board is no longer available. The vendor that manufactures the part is no longer available, with no new supplier to manufacture the part at this time. Since we are also consumers, we understand your frustration. My only option is to send the part out and have it repaired. No response to my question about warranty and no to a new refrigerator. My issue is if KitchenAid cannot get parts, then they shouldnt be in the appliance business. So much for the warranty, its not worth the paper its written on. I only wish I would have read all of these other complaints prior to buying their products. Did this happen after Whirlpool bought them out or has it always been this bad? I have never had a problem with refrigerator, even the old secondhand ones always work. Any suggestions how to proceed? It looks to me like my experience doesnt even rate as a horror story compared to what I have read on this site.

We spent $6000.00 for a built-in side by side 48 inches refrigerator. Nothing but trouble with the ice machine. First, it froze up soon after purchase. They sent a appliance person out. He said just break up the ice. How stupid was that? The next appliance person, the water is leaking into the motor of the ice dispenser freezing it up. When exposed, you could see all the frozen ice. A lot of it. No wonder the motor wont work, it was frozen up. When the new part came, it had a new part with it. This rubber washer was to stop the water from going into the motor and freezing it again. Now these motors are not cheap. So this was a design flaw. Here we go again: same problem even with the new rubber washer. It’s frozen up solid. It makes a lot of ice you just can’t get it out of the dispenser. I am sure there are a lot of people that have this same problem. This started before the warranty was out. This is a two years and 9 months appliance. There’s trouble with the ice maker all the time. They just tell you your warranty is out even though they made a flaw in the ice machine design.

Good thing I bought it from a local appliance store. They are authorized repair for what they sell, very good to deal with. Fixed the 3 issues .100 days later the control board failed again its only covered 90days after a repair so we called Kitchen Aid. They wouldnt do anything so we bought service plan. Meantime the top rack wheels broke. 90 days after bought service plan, we got control board repaired. The rack not covered we paid for rack repair. Now about 16 months after buying the dishwasher 4th set of rack wheels broke. We called Kitchen Aid, argued for some help. A free replacement part only was offered, we accepted. I installed it. Now the bottom wheel on right of the bottom rack falls off. Not what you expect from a Kitchen Aid dishwasher.

We purchased this dishwasher in December 2013. We immediately noticed that the dishes on the top rack and in the utensil tray were coming out dirty, in some cases dirtier than when they went in. In particular, the coffee cups had a baked on residue of detritus that meant we needed to wash them by hand after soaking for a while. We contacted the vendor, Corbeil Electric, who referred us to Whirlpool to get the dishwasher repaired. We had a repair done in January 2014, which did not fix the problem although it was better. We had another repair done in about March, and we waited for a new piece for more than a month. The problem recurred in the summer, and we had it repaired again (same piece replaced) in September. 1 week later, the same problem is still happening. If someone had mentioned in the reviews that the dishwasher did not get the dishes clean, we would not have purchased it. The service from Whirlpool is appallingly bad, with wait times up to 30 minutes to get through to the service line and they apologize profusely each time but say they cannot do anything about our dud dishwasher. The dishwasher is very quiet, but the dishes are dirty when they come out.

Well for the send time our expensive KitchenAid Built-in Side by Side Refrigerator Freezer Failed. It is almost 10 years old. The refrigerator repairmen from Judd and Black Electric arrived about 12:00 and fussed around with our fridge for an hour. In my opinion they didnt have a clue really and ** thought they were rude. At the end of the process they said the main control module was out, KitchenAid didnt make the part, it wasnt available anymore and they couldnt fix the KitchenAid KSSC48QMS01 side by side built in refrigerator. Period. They said that Core Centric could rebuild the control board but they didnt offer to take it out or send it in to Core Centric. The entire afternoon I researched the issue and learned that there are several companies that will rebuild the control board for about $100, found a YouTube Video on how to remove it and learned the serial number (W10219463-119) of the offending part. I dont know its purpose. In this instance, the flange on the right-hand door became torn simply from opening and closing the doors. We contacted a repair person, who collected the $95 price and ordered from KitchenAid a new gasket, but KitchenAid no longer offers it in white (like the original) so we had to accept grey. When it arrived he came to install it. It was about 1/4 inch too short in the length. We thought it was his error. We researched and found the gasket online, but also talked to a KitchenAid rep who agreed wed found the right one, so we ordered it. It came; it was exactly like the one ordered by the repairman- just a little too short. We returned it, with a letter (one copy sent with the return, the other mailed directly). We have heard NOTHING from KitchenAid. Its strange and frustrating that they arent making a replacement gasket in white, but a lot stranger and more frustrating that they offer a so-called replacement that isnt the right size.

About 4 years ago, I bought a top of the line Kitchen Aid dishwasher. I paid nearly $1,000 for it. I figured if I bought the best, that I wouldnt need to replace it for many years, since my aunt had 20 year old Kitchen Aid appliances, and they still worked like new. Everything was fine for a few months, then I noticed that its not as quiet as it was. Then if I didnt thoroughly rinse my dishes off, to the point of pre-washing them, there would be stuck food that was nearly impossible to remove. After doing the thorough pre-rinsing things, were fine for a while. The noise got louder. It got to the point that we would only run it a night, because of the noise. We looked into our warranty, and it had just expired, and knew that we couldnt do much about it. About a week ago, the noise was so bad that we honestly thought it would explode. We didnt touch it for a few days, for fear of explosion. Last night, we thought to run it through with a light cycle. We could hear the water filling, but after that, we couldnt hear anything. It sounded like it wanted to work, but it was stuck. We turned it off, and now its a glorified dish rack. Im replacing all my Kitchen Aid appliances with LG, because I know it wont fall apart.

My husband and I purchased a beautiful 7-feet high, 42-inch wide stainless steel side-by-side KitchenAid built-in refrigerator. The first breakdown was within 12 months of purchase. In the last four weeks, it had broken 4 times. The refrigerator does not keep food cool and the freezer does not work. I have replaced my food all four times. The warranty will not cover the food. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product! Its better to buy a cheap refrigerator at Home Depot and replace it every other year than to spend $6,000 on this piece of **.

I have a KitchenAid hood top microwave oven I paid almost $1,200.00 about 2 years ago. I just had a heating element replaced in March 2013. KitchenAid refused to help me and had to pay out of my pocket for repairs. It is 3 months later and the microwave heating element quit working. I called KitchenAid and they refused to help me. I now have to pay out of pocket expenses again to fix the same problem. I tried to reason with KitchenAid, but they refused to help a customer. You can tell there is something wrong with the unit if I need to keep replacing the same part. Its a very expensive microwave for $1,200.00. I thought KitchenAid was an honest company. I guess wrong. I will never buy a KitchenAid product again. Bad customer service.

As one lady from Mount Pleasant, SC reported, we are experiencing the very same issues. Weve owned our 30 inch slide in gas range for 3 years and when you brush up against it you wont even know until later on when you smell gas that one of the knobs was turned ever so slightly emitting the gas fumes. I contacted KitchenAid Customer Experience and reported this matter and to see if they have come up with a fix or recall. There hasnt been any. With all the news of gas explosions happening to houses across the country, this is definitely a safety issue. Im hoping Consumers Union and/or the Consumer Product Safety Commission can do something before someone else experiences a horrifying event.

Luckily, its still under warranty so the repair man will be coming out next week but REALLY!?! The dumb thing is only FOUR MONTHS OLD. I am afraid of what will need repairs in the future after the warranty has expired. I didnt read the bad reviews before I bought ALL KitchenAid appliances and that included a dishwasher, stove, microwave and refrigerator. The repair lady told me to Buy the warranty. She said they dont make things like they used to. Now you tell me... very disappointed in KitchenAid. They used to be a very reliable, high end company.

After using the self-cleaning mode three times, the lock would no longer disengage. My oven (KEMC378) was still under warranty at the time so the locking device was replaced. Again after using the cleaning mode a few times, the problem reoccurred with the new lock. After about a week of not using my oven or microwave, the lock disengaged on its own. Needless to say, I no longer use the self-cleaning mode. Recently on 10/27/2012, the locking device, on its own, became engaged and will not release. I can no longer cook or microwave - its completely useless. I called KitchenAid on 10/29/2012 to see if my model was part of the recall. Customer service said no and transferred my call to the service dept. I waited for 10 minutes for someone to pick up my call but they never did.

I purchased a dishwasher in May 2011 for about $900.00 and within 2 months, the electrical panel broke and I could not open the dishwasher. At that time, I should have insisted they replace the dishwasher because it is an absolute piece of junk. Two and a half years later, the plastic pieces that hold the upper basket have broken for the third time. I called KitchenAid and spoke to a manager. They offered to pay for the parts but I would have to pay for the service call and labor. I told them forget it since the pieces can only cost pennies. What government agency forces manufacturers to recall faulty items? Obviously from the amount of complaints online and the numerous complaints to which the service company responds to, this is an ongoing problem that KitchenAid has failed to address. I will NEVER purchase a KitchenAid or Whirlpool product again. I advise anyone that is looking for an appliance to avoid this brand!!!!

Our $600 KitchenAid microwave failed after less than 2 years. I spoke with customer service about repair, and was told that replacement parts are not made for this item as its a countertop appliance. Was not marketed as such - was sold to me as an installed piece with a matching trim kit. I was told that I would just need to purchase another microwave given that Im out of warranty. Very disappointing to discover that a seldom-used microwave that retails for that much money cannot be counted upon to last for 2 years. Sadder still that KitchenAid is not willing to stand behind their product by at least offering a discount toward the purchase of a replacement product. We today 8/12/2020 had a service tech (factory authorized) check the freezer and he found that the average temp in the freezer from the diagnostic panel showed 0 degrees F over the last 10 hours. The factory rep he talked to said that was within specs. There are no specs in any document other than the set point can be as stated above. DO NOT BUY KITCHENAID. My top of the line, three year old, stainless steel KitchenAid refrigerator
My top of the line, three year old, stainless steel KitchenAid refrigerator stopped cooling. Main circuit board is defective. Exactly like Ians review, I was told directly by a supervisor that no replacement boards have been made since the tsunami. In over two years, KitchenAid has not obtained a US based company to make these replacement boards. They have to be mailed to a company that rebuilds the boards and it takes at least two weeks before the repaired board is returned. This is the worst and most shameful business practice I have ever heard of from a world wide company. I have the KitchenAid Extended Warranty, but a loaner is NOT part of your KitchenAid warranty. And you are supposed to be perfectly happy going without a refrigerator for over two weeks. I purchased the KitchenAid built in wall oven, convection oven/microwave combo at the same time, along with a top of the line KitchenAid dishwasher. After spending more than $8000 on this suite, I cant wait for the non-existent circuit boards to go out on these other appliances. My husband wanted to buy the Samsung refrigerator, but I insisted on buying American made since the US was in the middle of the Great Recession. I will be spending my money on Korean appliances from now on, now that I have learned that KitchenAid has knowingly left all of their appliance customers without a source for new, replacement circuit boards. Heres a suggestion KitchenAid... Jabil Circuit, a gigantic, world wide circuit board company is based right here in St. Petersburg, Florida, where I live. If you cared one bit about your customers or your reputation, you would have them or one of the dozens of other companies in the US that manufacture the same things, supply you with new replacement boards. Yours is a shameful business model. I am done with KitchenAid.

On 11/18/2010, I purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher, 22 12552. This dishwasher has been a nightmare. I purchased extended warranty and thank God I did. We put it in and then it didnt get the dishes clean and wouldnt dry them and it was eating jet dry like it was going out of style. I had several service calls on this problem. Then they replaced it 30 days later. Now, this dishwasher is a piece of **. They have put in 3 different panels of the controls, that all I do is wait from 5 to 12 for them to show up plus I am without a dishwasher for a week till they can come out. Then I have to wait another week for the part to show up. They came out this last time on 7-23-2012 and they left and the problems started all over even though they put in a new panel. I have no idea what your company did to ruin a good dishwasher but this is a piece of **. Now, they tell me this is the fourth time today, 7-25-2012, so they will replace it. Well, I guess my question is, am I going to have the same problems that I had with the other 3 dishwashers they have given me? They are taking my time and all the work to put this in again and again and again. Your company should fix this problem you are having with this dishwasher. I always swore by Sears and Whirlpool and KitchenAid products but I tell you what, I will never do business with Sears and never buy a Whirlpool product either. I realize you dont care. We bought a 29 cu. ft. French Door stainless refrigerator model KFIV29PCMS in 2013. We had repairmen out three years in a row. Each time required several visits. The air tower, ice maker evaporator fan, two fresh food evaporators, valves, a compressor, and a UIn were all replaced. We were out of a refrigerator for 18 days one time and over a week this last time. On one visit they sent a repairman out only to say that he couldnt fix it as it is a closed system. Every time its something different. We have had frost on the top left shelves with water leaking into them, water coming out of the ice dispenser, ice building up on the freezer drawers, water on the floor, and it just quit working. Although we had insurance, it only paid $300 for spoiled food. We have lost more than that. It is always so inconvenient to schedule time for them to come, then reschedule when the part finally comes in. I have complained to Good Deals where we bought it. I dont think they should sell appliances with so many problems. I complained to KitchenAid but all they did was take my complaint. Needless to say I have complained to the repair place,Gulf Appliance. My old Sears refrigerator lasted 26 years without even a service call, and it was a fifth of the cost. I cant believe a company cannot do a better job making an appliance. Did they even test them before putting them on the market? Apparently not. I will never buy another KA fridge again. No problems as of yet in the 3 years we have had the microwave. It is stainless steel and looks pretty. The only slight improvement I would make, is it would be nice to have a flatter looking front. It reminds me of a spaceship with the way it bows out from the door front. But I do like that underneath it is angled up towards the front, so it allows for more working space on the stove top that it sits over. Over all I am really pleased with the purchase.

I have a 6-year-old Stoves dual fuel range cooker. Sure, its out of warranty, but now it only functions as a hob! The thermostat on the main oven failed last year. Stoves cant fix it because the company that made it has gone out of business (no thought of doing anything about it). Now the interior glass shielding on the secondary oven decided to shatter last night. I cant expect anything to last, but in these times, I expect that something would be fixable. I will never buy anything by Stoves again. It was an expensive item around $1500, so not exactly bottom of the range! But it definitely is bottom of all ranges!

I purchased a suite of Kitchen Aid products in July 2011 from Art Handlers Appliance Center. Refrigerator, dishwasher, gas convection oven and range and microwave. They were installed in my new home. To date, the handle on my microwave didnt just come off, the plastic broke. It just doesnt heat food quickly and is the noisiest microwave ever. The range has knobs on the front and the writing on all the knobs came off within one month. Im currently on my third set of knobs and they now have no writing on them at all. Therefore if anyone else uses the range they have no idea what they are doing. Also, unless you lock the unit, if you lean over it to get something out of a cabinet, you can easily turn it on with your body without knowing it. Overall, this is a dangerous unit to own.

In November of 2010, we had just finished our $18,000 kitchen renovation. Our $2500.00 side-by-side with freezer drawer on the bottom is a beautiful stainless steel. Was delivered and installed by Lowes. That is when the fun began. After about 2 weeks, we noticed that the food in the freezer was soft to the touch but cold. We gathered the children and told them of the importance of making sure the drawer was closed all the way. After several days and several lessons in proper door closing procedure, I noticed that there was never any ice when I wanted a cold drink. I soon came to realize after the food in the top part of the new $2500.00 beauty became room temperature that there might be a problem beyond my children and proper door closing procedure. Then the real adventure began. I called the customer service number in my trusty manual and spoke to one of the clear speaking people in charge of handling such situations. I was told that they would send a repairman to look at the refrigerator and the appointment was scheduled. When asked what to do about all the food in my stainless steel showpiece, I was told that they are not responsible for food loss in this type of situation. Maybe one of your neighbors could store your food for the time being. Yes, maybe I could have a neighbor store food for my family of 5 until I could get my metal closet repaired (midnight trips to get a snack are now more exciting). I then had the pleasure of meeting a repairman who was more than happy to look at my wonderful now skunky-smelling top-of-the-line food storage device. Mr. Repairman started poking and tapping and doing repairman type things. I will need to go through this section by section to try to eliminate possible causes to the problem, Mr. Repairman told me. When I asked what kind of time frame we were looking at, I was told, Minimum of 4 hours to dismantle, however many hours to do the repair once diagnosed and another 4 hours to re-assemble. Great, I said, My new state-of-the-art cold food making contraption will be spread out all over some repair shop for who knows how long?Oh no, said Mr. Repairman, We do it right here in your home. You what?????? You are going to take apart my appliance here, diagnose the problem, order the part, come back when the part comes in, repair it and then re-assemble it ????? Yes. How long are we talking about ???? 7 to 10 days if the parts come in. After a quick dial, I was back on with customer service telling them what I had just been told. Let me call the repair company, please hold. After a brief hold of about 20 to 30 min. I was told to have Mr. Repairman contact his office. When Mr. Repairman was done with his call, he printed out a slip from his little portable printer and told me that his office and KitchenAid determined that the repair was going to cost too much and that the unit should be replaced as totaled. Wow, what a relief. I was now put in contact with a customer service rep to arrange for my nice new right out of the box stainless steel replacement. Within 2 weeks, will have the new one delivered. What? 2 weeks? What am I to do for 2 weeks without a refrigerator? You can rent one until your new one comes, I was told. Anyway after my waiting period and lots of take-out, my new ice box arrives and is installed to numerous cheers from the kiddies. We thanked Mr. Deliveryman who left and we went on with our lives... until about 2 and a half months later. Honey, did you leave the freezer door open? Everything is soft. And there is no ice. Ring, ring. Hello, customer service. How may I help you? After an even more entertaining episode and even more trips from Mr. Repairman who used the term deja vu, it seems like I have been here before (long term memory is not an issue here). Mr. Repairman said that this was common and that a part needed to be replaced. He didnt have the part but it will be ordered. How long are we talking about? 7 to 10 days. Well eventually Mr. Repairman came back and replaced this little rubber part that lets condensation drip onto a pan so that it can evaporate. Problem solved... NOPE!!!!!! Several more visits from Mr. Repairman and several times telling him that yes, he had been here before KitchenAid decided that this unit also was too much to repair and authorized a replacement. And yes, it was going to be another 2 weeks. At this point I said, Hold on. Why would I want this thing replaced a third time? Can I get a different model? No, that is not an option. 2 weeks later, my brand new stainless steel right out of the box replacement replacement food keeper cold thingamagig makes its grand entrance. Mr. Deliveryman who also say it feels like he has been here before installs and again leaves. Wow what a journey. All this just to keep food from going bad even though twice it did. And after all this, I am still sane. I liked the refrigerator when I saw it in the store. It looked beautiful. Now all is going well and we still have our KitchenAid and it looks like everything is finally going to be... Oh wait I forgot to tell you that I just got off the phone with customer service because unit number three is doing the exact same thing. If anyone is interested in a stainless steel boat anchor, please let me know because I have one made by the good people at KitchenAid.
