I purchased my Samsung French door refrigerator, model RF26HF, December of 2014. From the start the fridge was louder than my old one. Shortly after that the ice machine was producing ice at a very slow rate and is currently making ice when it wants too. We have also encountered a flap misalignment on one of the French doors. Currently, August 20, 2016, I found a pool of water at the base of my fridge, underneath the food storage bins. When I removed the storage bins I discovered a thick piece of ice the width of the base of the fridge. I also saw water dripping from the twin cooling back panel as well as coming out from the base of the door. As figured I was over my one year warranty and Samsung needed to charge me to look at the problem.Samsung did try to blame it on a filter issue and then a humidity issue, which is neither the problem. Samsung left me with no resolution and stated a technician needed to be called in to determine the exact issue. I was not given a price because that couldnt be determined until a ticket was created. After hearing this ridiculous news, I have had enough with Samsung. After reading many many poor and similar issues with this specific refrigerator Samsung needs to acknowledge a true manufacturing problem thats affecting many families. At this point with everyone having the same issue there should be a recall in place. I will never buy a Samsung product ever again!

The microwave fan and over the range light go on randomly at all hours of the day. Samsung came and replaced the control panel and it worked for a while, then the same thing is happening. I called and Samsung said the warranty has run out so I would have to pay for the repair. I feel the control panel is a faulty design and since the problem reoccurs there is no sense in replacing it. The TV sound bar shuts off two times a day at random times.

This 16-month-old Samsung microwave had the dreaded SE error code. I tried unplugging it to recycle and nothing worked. After reading all of the reviews, I knew I was doomed. I called Sears only to find out it was a common problem. And, as the previous complaints say, it will cost more than a brand new one to fix. I also read where it was a known problem with the keyboard circuit and yet Samsung still would not give the consumer a break by recalling it. I then read one entry in Google regarding the problem which said to hold the cancel and reset button down at the same time. I didnt have those buttons, but held down the clear and start buttons at the same time - say 3 seconds, at most. Well, I held on for dear life for about 20 seconds. All of a sudden, the unit started beeping. I let go - and oh, my God, it reset! It seems to be working fine now! This is obviously a scam by someone. Otherwise, why is this fix not mentioned anywhere? It looks like I stumbled across a $300 secret. Hopefully, this helps others. By the way, even if a tech came out and was able to do the same thing, it still would have cost the $75. What a shame.

My advice - DONT buy Samsung products. The condo block my friend lives in has Samsung dishwashers installed. Three of them that I know of have quit. It is impossible to get good service with any kind of results. The technician at the other end keeps you on the phone for hours and wont consent to new parts or agree that there is a problem covered under warranty. It took one gal seven months to get any results. Two are still working on it. They are not cooperative at all. We had a Samsung TV. What a disaster. The picture was always blurry and with movement, it was followed by a delayed shadow. Weve switched to LG products and love them.

Model #DW80H - Since day one it has not cleaned the dishes. Until the first service call it leaked out of the left side. That got fixed by replacing the lower wand however there was no improvement in cleaning the dishes. Fourth visit replaced the upper wand and no improvement whatsoever. Sent pictures of inside of unit after a cycle and am now waiting for a reply from a special agent from Samsung to get back to me. Will keep you posted but I think you know where this is going...

I have had the Samsung SMH9187ST microwave for just over 3 years now. Yesterday I got the SE error code. Tried unplugging and recycling which did not work to clear the code. This sounds like it is a very common problem with these microwaves due to moisture. An over the stove microwave should be designed to handle being over the stove. What a load of crap. I will try fixing this myself and then calling Samsung to try to get them to repair this at no expense to me. I have a Samsung fridge as well and have had no issues with it.

I finally got my dream house in 2012, so I was excited to be able to buy all new, top of the line kitchen appliances! My husband told the salesman that he loves bells and whistles and that was the wrong thing to say! However, our excitement was short lived when each appliance started having problems. First was the dishwasher, next the refrigerator, then the range, and last of all the over the stove microwave. This all started just as soon as the one year warranty ran out.The smooth top, convection range causes me to burn food due to its constantly increasing temperature to high, no matter what its set on. The fan in the convection oven rattles. The icemaker of the 4 door French door fridge stopped working. The dishwasher throws out numerous error codes and stops working. The microwave constantly blows light bulbs and it starts running every time you open the door. We paid a small fortune to get these beautiful appliances for our fabulous new kitchen and wouldnt complain if we had bought them for looks only! Do yourself a favor and buy something that works and AVOID SAMSUNG!

I, like everyone else, got the Samsung SE error out of nowhere, at around 18 months after purchase. I read all these reviews today and was about to go shopping to replace my SMH9187ST microwave. After power cycling it, the SE error would come back between two minutes and immediately. So far, after I did what I did, it hasnt happened in 8 hours. So here is what I did. Hopefully this will work for someone else. All you need is a Philips-head screwdriver and I didnt even have to remove the microwave from where it was mounted.Take out the top two screws. They fasten the top front vent grill to the microwave. To remove the vent grill, simply slide it to the left and pull out. Now when that is removed, you now have access to the one Phillips-head screw that holds on the dreaded keypad on the right of the microwave. Remove that screw. Then, slide the keypad assembly up and wiggle left and right to slide the fingers that hold it on to the microwave free from the slots they are in. Now once that is free, you can pull it out and see the few connectors that connect the keypad to the rest of the microwave. There is a white connector and a blue connector towards the bottom of the back of the keypad assembly. I simply reseated those connectors. Meaning, I unplugged them then plugged them back in making sure they were snug. The blue connector seemed to be a little loose when I went to reseat it. Im thinking maybe it had backed its way out somehow and was causing a bad connection, therefore giving me the SE error. But thats it. Line up the keypad assembly fingers back up with their proper slots and slide it down, therefore lining up the screw hole on the keypad assembly with the screw hole on the microwave and put that screw back in. Then slide the top front vent grill back on from left to right after lining up the little fingers with the slots they fit in. Then screw back in those two screws that hold the grill on. My beeping that was happening has now stopped and Ive microwaved a few things since. It took me no more than five minutes to figure out how to open it up, reseat the connectors, and put it back together. So far, problem seems solved!

I have a stainless steel French door bottom freezer refrigerator. Unfortunately my refrigerator stopped working after only one year. I contacted Samsung immediately, they informed me that a repairman would be in touch soon. Two days later Samsung contacted me to say they did not have any repair people to assist us, but that they would refund our refrigerator and also for our food loss. It took months to get out refund we also never received food compensation loss. Customer service was incompetent and not knowledgeable of our situation. Stay away from Samsung products because when they stop working for whatever reason the company will not help you. Trust me this has been a horrible experience.

I recently bought a Samsung dishwasher that not only does it not clean well and leaves spots on my dishes but it actually makes brand new spots resembling dark grease spots! Like some of the other complaints, mine also leaves a musty smell. My 18 year old Whirlpool was not pretty but it left my dishes spotless and dry without even adding a drying agent. Thankfully I am back at Best Buys and they are taking good care of me.

I bought a Samsung Refrigerator Model RF217ACPN in July 2012 at Best Buy from the Boston/Fenway location (now closed). Two years into owning it the temperature went up to 70 degrees and there was water in the bottom drawers. I did some googling about it and learned that the radiator in the back over cools, then builds up with ice preventing it from cooling, then when it finally melts the water ends up in the bottom fruit and vegetable trays. After two weeks of calling them begging them to see it is a faulty and defective product they gave me a one time service for free and guaranteed it would be solved. 4 months later, same exact problem... water in the drawers and 70 degrees. After calling this time explaining it was never really fixed in the first place, Samsung gave me two options, 1) repair it using their service center (a $400-600 charge) or 2) repair it using their extended protection plan (a $388 fee with service for a year). I dont want it fixed. I want my money back or have it replaced with a fridge that works. What a terrible product... I had my previous fridge for 30 years! This one cant even make it past the three-year mark. Samsung is fraudulent and taking advantage of people. I will never buy anything from them after this experience. What a terrible company, and terrible customer service.

Samsung Model RF31FMEDBSR - Worst fridge ever. Icemaker has always frozen up. It definitely does not make the 10 pounds a day that they advertised and now the whole fridge is freezing up and not keeping our food properly cooled. I am very confident we have eaten spoiled or bad food because of the temp problems. The door says one thing but the actual temperature is much warmer. Customer service at Samsung was asking if the door was closed and other time-wasting questions.

We bought a Samsung RT72SBSM about 2 years ago and it just stopped cooling one day. After checking, the compressor is found busted and they would charge me USD150 for labor and for fixing the gas, which are not under warranty. When I queried Samsung about why their fridge died only after 2 years, instead of apologizing, the Samsung person retorted, we dont know the lifetime of our fridges. They should know. Its their product. They should have some sort of indication that this is a faulty fridge and they are doing what they can to rectify it. Saying they dont know simply takes them away from being accountable to make good products. Samsung is a horrible horrible brand, with absolutely, incredibly lousy customer service. Avoid all Samsung products at all cost, please!

We purchased a Samsung RF323TE French Door Refrigerator with a Bottom Freez
We purchased a Samsung RF323TE French Door Refrigerator with a Bottom Freezer and Ice Maker in approximately November 2012. Things were working fine until we started noticing a foul smell (like urine) coming from the water out of the dispenser. The water and ice then tasting bad as well. I thought it was the filter, so I bought a new filter, replaced it, and flushed it with several gallons of water through the dispenser as instructed. This worked for about a week, and then the problem returned. I thought I just got a bad filter, so I put a new one in and repeated the process. Shortly after, the problem is now back. I went to the Samsung website to try and troubleshoot it, but I could not find nor enter the model number. I got an error message saying the model number was not found! I have not called them, and I am not sure if we bought the extended warranty from Lowes, but the reports I have read are very discouraging. I will definitely report back, and do more research before my next purchase. Samsung will be hard pressed to get any more of my business.

13 months ago we bought a Samsung Dishwasher: DW80F800UWS. Within the first 4 months it stopped working, displaying an error code 1E and 3E. Samsung sent a repair service, they had to order a part, which was on backorder (as a number of these parts were in demand) and we waited 3 weeks to get our dishwasher fixed.m Last night it fails again. Same error codes. Samsung says it is off warranty so they wont fix it. The service company, Totem Appliances in Burnaby, BC, says they only warranty the parts for 90 days. They wont fix it either, unless I pay for it. Likely about $300. So the $1,000 dishwasher that is only 13 months old will cost me $300 to repair, and no guarantee that this time the part will last more than 6 months. Wont ever buy a Samsung product again.

We have been calling & calling again & after our 10th attempts, we were said that this product is new on the market & that Samsung Technician are studying the case. My question is the following, how can you introduce a new technology in the US market without prior testing it? Why do you want me to pay $4,000 for a technology that doesnt work? Your credibility is at stake as well as your after sales service. Your supervisor didnt even deign to call us back despite our several calls. If this the way you are treating your new customers? Then 1.5 yr later, it completely stopped working. I believe the design is flawed as the ice maker sits in the refrigerator section and not the freezer area. I purchased a Samsung Conventional Oven from Best Buy in August 2011. The stove worked great until now. I was preheating the oven to bake lasagna and could smell burning plastic. I looked in the oven to make sure there was nothing burning inside and there was nothing. As I closed the door and stepped back, sparks started shooting out of the stove top and smoke was everywhere. I had my two month old son and my three dogs with me in the kitchen. Luckily none of them were injured. The ash from the blowout was all over my kitchen. The breaker blew (thank god) and I immediately unplugged the stove. I could not see an obvious signs of a problem until I really looked at the back of the stove. Where the plug is connected was covered in black ash. I removed the panel to find that the area where the plug connects was completely melted.I have had this stove for almost four years now. THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED!! Im still scared to death that this could have caused a house fire or an injury to my son, myself or my dogs. I will be contacting Samsung to see what can be done. This time, a new ice maker was ordered and installed. Immediately after this call, a single click could be heard maybe once an hour. Then a noise like a compressor turning on started and lasts from 5 to 12 seconds sometimes 4 or more times a day.Now the noise like a motor straining is starting again. (Only one arrived for something I knew would require removing the 265 lb. oven) After reading the repair instructions for a while, he decided he would need help in removing the oven and called for a second person. After arrival, they proceeded to remove the oven. The stand they set up to support the oven wasnt secured and I watched as they dropped the oven on the floor and it proceeded to tip over and put multiple dents and scratches in the new Samsung refrigerator. So now I have a damaged refrigerator that up to this time was 100% scratch free. Once they replaced the control board (which is a part that shouldnt fail in less than a month), they started reinstallation. While reinstalling the doors that have to be removed to pull the unit out - they dropped the upper oven door. It landed on the latch of the lower oven bending the latch, so the oven wont close. Of course, in the process, the oven door finish was chipped. Not just scratched but chipped down to raw metal. This is all not to mention the dent in the floor and paint/drywall damage. So now going on the second week - I still have an unusable oven and the bonus of a damaged refrigerator. They tell me it will take 3 days to get someone out to look at the damage. No indication of when itll be made whole. As an architect and Director of Design with over 750 luxury apartment units on the drawing board right now - I wont be specifying Samsung appliances.

Horrible. Spent thousands on the refrigerator and now I see filter light on and learn I need to spend $45 every 6 months to replace water filter. Also, microwave filter needs to be replaced every 6 months as well- only $11 for that. Why didnt the Lowes salesman tell me I would need to spend additional money every 6 months and replace these filters? Also, when I called customer service I needed to ask him to spell out what he was saying because I could not understand a word. Not sure which country I reached but it sure wasnt the US. I will not even go into the fact that I also bought a Samsung electric oven/cooktop and needed to replace the cooktop after 3 months because it cracked. Samsung products are horrible. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance again.

At 13 months, a plastic part in the ice maker broke. We could not buy just the plastic part that senses when the bin is full of ice. We had to purchase the entire icemaker system at the cost of over $200. At five years and seven months, the compressor went out at the cost of $600. We gave our daughter our 30 Whirlpool side by side. It is still alive. BUY AMERICAN. Samsung is totally unsatisfactory.

Model RF217ACBP/XAA - The refrigerator began leaking water into the vegetable bins when the refrigerator was less than 3 years old. Frost is melted and drips into a trough and then is supposed to run down a tube to be evaporated. Unfortunately, the water in the trough began to freeze and eventually began draining into the vegetable drawers. I spent four hours defrosting the refrigerator but after two weeks, water began to drain into the vegetable drawer again.I called Samsung and was told that for nearly $400 I could buy coverage for repairs that would be good for one year. That would be on top of the $1421 I paid for the unit less than 3 years ago. I declined. Now we have to avoid using the vegetable bins or purchase racks so food will remain above the water until we can afford to purchase a new refrigerator. I am retired and my wife works less than 40 hours per week. In the past few weeks the paint began to come off of the two door handles. Now the refrigerator doesnt look very new or nice.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher from Sears. I havent even finished paying for it. I called out technician and he advised its $75 for him to come, $170 if he does anything. Apparently, warranty is out before its even finished paying for. I looked at black sludge and it looks like dissolved o-rings he and said its not dissolved o-rings but bugs. Bugs? we asked. Yes, bacteria. He said we must use vinegar every two weeks and glisten every month. It smelled bad all the time and this horrendous black sludge was all over in there under the filter (11 x 3 inch bolts to remove to get under there) by the door seals. So putting it back together, one of the plastic parts cracks when the bolt goes in. Now it shuts off if there isnt enough rinsing agent and wont go. It shuts off if you dont slam the top drawer hard and break a couple glasses. This is a really expensive piece of crap. My mother is devastated as she thought this fancy thing would be the last time she bought an appliance. Its a waste of a pensioners money and Sears says talk to Samsung. Samsung says Sears is the person to contact during warranty and any other repair person who can do Samsung after that. Its not their problem. It never worked well. The quick cycle is two hours. I am sad for my mother and I have had to try to figure it out for her several times. What a garbage!

I bought a Samsung mirror-finished two-door fridge at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2007, in Geant Store Khuraise. My kids phoned me that it is not getting cold. I said to them, they must switch it off as it might burn them. It never made some ice. It was installed by Nirvana Ageng Samsung Polopkoane. I told them the same agent came and open my fridge, and he said it is the compressor. I must wait so that they can check if it is still under warranty. They never came back.We kept on calling him, but no answer. I went to Bokstreet Samsung branch. They said it is not under warranty. If it never makes some ice, they will fix it, but I will pay all costs+transportation. Now it is about 3 years. I reported it to South Africa, and Riyadh , Saudi Arabia. I need my money back or a new fridge. I will give you up to the end of this month. I will go to LG. I paid a lot of money for that fridge. I have already sent my complaint to consumer lawyers.

It would never dry the dishes. Now, our refrigerator is broken. I am fairly handy, so I was able to fix it myself. However, I needed to know the correct part number to order for my french door. So I called customer service only to be told that they were not allowed to give part numbers out over the telephone. They would ship it to me at a cost that was double what I could get it for on Amazon. They then directed me to their website, where I could look the part number up myself. Samsung customer service took no responsibility for any of this ---- all they would tell us is the dishwasher was out of warranty. What hasnt gone wrong. The latest problem is the handle on the freezer drawer. It keeps coming off. There are two bolts that screw into the freezer drawer that the handle attaches to. The problem is, the refrigerator has a latent known defect in which the threaded piece inside the drawer the bolt screws into breaks off inside the drawer. This is clearly a latent defect with the manufacturing of the product. Samsung considers this a cosmetic issue. Huhhhh, they would not honor the repair and wanted me to purchase another warranty. We have had many other issues like the ice machine, water filter and so on. I am so done with Samsung – a crappy product, bad service. Dont buy.

The oven continues to heat towards the set temperature and reaches it @ 4 minutes later. After & 3 minutes the temp starts to decrease, eventually decreasing by 20 degrees, a temp that it then maintains. We purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator (no ice dispenser) a few years ago (It was built in 2011). We began to have problems with water/ice buildup under the cold storage tray since last Fall. We thought we must have spilled water in the refrigerator. It kept happening with increasing frequency. It became a weekly process to remove the cold storage tray and remove an inch of ice and water from the bottom of the refrigerator. It then became necessary to remove the water twice a week to prevent water from spilling out of the refrigerator all over the floor. Several members of my family started getting sick with what we thought was the stomach bug.We noticed that the refrigerator did not seem to be very cold although the temperature stated it was 34 degree until one night the temperature reading said 58 degrees! I called a repairman who told me the panel in the back was probably frozen and we would need to unplug the unit and wait at least 24 hours for the back panel to defrost. We began the process of throwing out food and found several moldy containers. We realized this was most likely the reason we were getting sick! We were being poisoned by our refrigerator! We immediately decided to throw it out and purchase another one! Having a refrigerator for only a few years and to have this happen, I will never buy another Samsung product again.

Dec 2014 when I bought my two-door SAMSUNG inverter refrigerator with 1 yr warranty of service and 10 years warranty of compressor. Im a bit happy of the long term compressor warranty without thinking the possible reasons why they are giving warranty that long. After two years, the compressor had to replaced since its not functioning. Since it has warranty so its free but I still spent around 6k for the labor and other parts needed. So, after the repair the equipment is again functioning very well, but just recently exactly after two years after the repair same problem encountered - the compressor is not functioning and what shocked me about is the estimated cost I have to spend. I need 9k excluding the compressor since its free. OMG. Why do I spend that much when I can use said amount to buy new one. BUT NO TO SAMSUNG! NEVER. I have this fridge for 1.5 years. Love the size, but milk is always going sour before the expiry date; cheese molding; and leftovers didnt last. Rationalized all these things - must be leaving the milk out too long, must have dirty kids hands touching the cheese, etc. Because the digital temperature reading said it was 34 deg in the fridge, it must be accurate right? Wrong! Verification by 3 separate mercury and digital thermometers show that the fridge compartment temp runs 40-50 deg and thats in winter (wonder how warm it had been running last summer!). This is everywhere in the fridge compartment, top shelf, bottom shelf, door, right next to the ice maker, etc. I cannot find any place in the fridge that runs less than 40 degrees. In hindsight, no wonder food was spoiling! The fridge programming will not allow the temperature to be set any lower than 34F. Service technician has replaced the main control board and the digital touch screen assembly. Have not resolved the problem. I phoned Samsung customer support and was only told that since the factory warranty is expired, they can and will do nothing. Suspecting a design flaw that they are aware of. I will update if ever fixed. Freezer and flex-drawer hold reasonable to programmed temperature (generally 2-6 degrees above programmed temp, sometimes 10 degrees higher), but those compartments have larger programming range. Can program the freezer to -8 and the flex-drawer to 29, so even if they run higher than programmed, it is OK for food storage. But even with fridge set as low as it will go (34), it still is too warm for safe food storage.

We were warned by 2 people not to buy Samsung refrigerators because the ice makers were awful. We didnt listen because we needed a certain size and Samsung made them if you ordered it... Loved the refrigerator for the first few months. Then the ice maker started freezing up and we would have to use a hairdryer to defrost it. Then we noticed when you put ice in a cup it would drop water in it. So much you would have to dump it before putting anything in it. Within 2 years the ice maker was dripping water in one of the doors and would freeze in the bottom of the ice tray causing it to freeze up. We finally just pulled the tray out and turned the water off to it. Now we buy a bag of ice and keep it in the bottom freezer. When our refrigerator quit after 24 years, I was excited to receive our new Samsung refrigerator. The unit was on sale, but my particular unit had been mislabeled in the store, so the salesman gave me the listed price. Perfect! Well, less than 8 months later, the ice maker just quit - on the day of our Thanksgiving dinner. I read all the literature and watched the videos via the QR Codes. My husband and I both reset the ice maker and waited 24 hours. We changed the water filter, even though no indicator light suggested it needed changing. My first call to Samsung left me beyond frustrated. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told no one was available. This technician (I use this word loosely) had me repeat everything that I had already done. Then she finally told me to turn the ice maker off on the door panel and wait 90 minutes for it to start making ice again. When I asked how it would possibly make ice when its off, she just kept repeating her instructions. What did I do? I turned the ice maker off. I wondered if this was some hard reset that wasnt listed in any material. Then came call number 2. I turned the ice maker on and gave it a little time. Nothing. I told the second Samsung person what the first person had me do. He said, Well, your ice maker wont work if its turned off. You think? He started asking me to do everything again...checking filter, resetting machine. He then asked me the temp settings. I told him -2 for freezer and 36 for the fridge. He said I needed to change the fridge to 37. When I asked him why setting my fridge one degree warmer would help, he had no answer. He then told me to wait 2-3 hours and call them back if it was not working. I said, Look, Ive been doing the same procedures for over 24 hours now. Cant you schedule someone to come fix this? He then informed me that it was procedure.Call number 3. When the third technician started to ask me questions, I cut her off. I explained that I wasnt going to repeat everything again for a third person, especially when my husband and I had already performed the same steps the day before. She apologized and told me that someone would be in my area on Friday, but the service department would call and confirm. I received a call from their service department. It was an automated message, asking me to wait. When nothing happened after several minutes, I hung up. On the second call, I decided to put my phone on speaker and go about my tasks. After 30 minutes, no one had picked up! I then called them back. After a few calls, I finally reached someone. I was told that they did not have me down for service for Friday and that the next available day would be the next Thursday. So, we are now waiting to see if someone will actually show for Thursdays appointment. I cant believe that something is broken in such little time. I usually read reviews before purchasing any big ticket items. I didnt with this purchase. When your fridge goes out, you simply go out and get one, preferably one that can be delivered quickly. I wont make this mistake again, and I definitely will not be purchasing a Samsung! I dont see how this company is going to stay in business with poor quality and poor service.

DW80H9930US - My Samsung dishwasher was installed on October 25, 2014. The first call for repair was made on December 5th for a persistent water leak from the bottom of the door. The repair was made on Dec. 26th in which the venting system in the door was replaced. The next repair call was made on Dec. 31st for the same water leaking problem. The repair was made on Jan. 9, 2015 in which the venting system gasket was reseated. The next repair call was made Jan. 10th for the same water leaking issue from the bottom of the door. On Jan. 16th, the service man placed an order for a door latch replacement. On February 6th, the door latch mechanism was replaced. Water leaking and the door popping open without error codes mid-cycle continued. The most recent repair took place on March 14th, where the repairman replaced the whole door. No more water leaking has been noticed, however, one month after this repair, the door continues to pop open mid-cycle without any error codes. The time remaining does appear and flashes. I close the door, and it starts up again and with fingers crossed it finishes, but not without multiple door popping open episodes. Ive checked the strainer in the base and its not clogged with food particles. The top rack does roll forward, and Ive seen another posting about it becoming disconnected from the sprayer mounting at the back of the dishwasher wall. Perhaps this is the reason the dishwasher continues to stop mid-cycle without displaying error codes. My anger is with Samsung, not with P.C. Richard & Sons performance. I dont know, but one thing is for sure, when my 5 year warranty has expired (thank God, I had the smarts to purchase one), this dishwasher is going to the curb and I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance, nor will I recommend their products to anyone!Updated on 09/25/2015: the dishwasher seemed fixed after the whole door replacement back in March 2015, however, it has begun leaking again (mid-August 2015) from the lower left area at the bottom of the door (the same area where it leaked from the start).

As many others have complained - our Samsung fridge started icing up and filling crisper with water after a year and a half. Samsung states there is no recall and offers no extended warranty although it is obviously a design/construction issue. Their recommended repair service replaced the back panel - stated fan wasnt working (no way to verify) and drain tubes in back/bottom due to poor design and new ones have a better filter. For these fixes we were charged $475 and they only warranty for 90 days! Sad to say, from reading other posts it sounds like the initial problems will recur - probably in a year so no help from Samsung or their recommended repair service. I wish I had researched before purchase - too many complaints here - all with the same issues! There should be a class action suit to recover costs for their defective product! Boycott Samsung -- JUNK!

After being hit with super storm Sandy, I bought five Samsung appliances, each one has flaws. I am so disgusted with owning these products. The quality is very poor. The stove I purchased cooks really well but it is vented from the door. Years ago, the stoves vented from the top and sometimes pan handles burned or were extremely hot. Today, they vent from the door. Now I noticed that the five knobs are all burnt. Since I own the stove for more than a year, it is not covered and they feel this is not a mechanical problem. This is not my fault. It is a defect in the product if it burns the handles. I took out a warranty from Lowes and they say it is not covered under the extended warranty. This is a problem with the way the stove vents - it should be covered under the warranty. I am very unhappy.

Samsung being the best brand name in the market and having a good reputation, we had purchased refrigerator on 24th February, 2015. Model no: 45H5809SLSerial no- Price: 48800/- Merchant name - ALFA Vile- parle West. With reference to the above subject the day from when the day from when the refrigerator had been installed its not functioning properly, the vegetable tray which needs to keep the vegetables fresh is forming Ice and spoiling all the vegetables. There are several occasion wherein the technician have visited our residence to check it but rather than getting a solution for the issue they advise us how to keep and store the vegetables. The main issue of the technicians, whoever visits is that they cant resolve the issue but in return they keep advising us how to use the refrigerator, seems like its the first time that we have purchased the refrigerator and we are unaware of using it.Very sad and disappointed experience that we have faced in these months due to the Samsung refrigerator purchased. I would request the company either youll resolve the issue ASAP or else replace the refrigerator. I have always experienced a good customer satisfaction from Samsung, hoping that youll keep it up to the mark. Kindly please revert ASAP. Thanking you.

My french door refrigerator from Samsung has to be the worst product we have ever purchased. We have to defrost this thing every other month. The repair company I had come out said he really couldnt do anything. I paid too much money for this refrigerator to throw it out but I really hate this refrigerator. We have purchased other Samsung products but I think they need to get out of the appliance business and stick to electronic.

When we first purchase the refrigerator the ice maker didnt work. Samsung came out and the motherboard had to be replaced in the refrigerator. Periodically I like to clean behind my refrigerator and make sure that the coils and part of the refrigerator they recommend that we clean in their manual. If we dont really put the refrigerator back exactly level refrigerator runs constantly and will not defrost. We have to pull the refrigerator back out unplugged it, leave it unplugged for 2 hours plug it back in level it again before it will work. Ill never buy another Samsung. We also have their range which I have had to have a replacement part for as well. We have only owned these appliances for three years. But its long enough to know that Samsung does not build a reliable appliance. I only used a 1-star rating because I couldnt leave it blank.

I bought a Samsung fridge in October 2015. The freezer is on the bottom and the refrigerator is on the top. I get home today and everything in the freezer is melting. I called Lowes. They give me an 888 number and then I call it and they give me a repair center number that closes at 6. After 1 year for the price I paid I dont think I should have to be going through this. Not recommended to buy Samsung fridge. I will be reporting it to the Better Business Bureau. I have had results with them before.

I bought my 3 door Samsung Refrigerator in 2015 and it worked fine for 2 years. After that, Ive had nothing but problems. First, it wasnt cooling my food and I lost all of my food and had to pay a $200 repair bill. Then, 2 months later, that same thing happened! Luckily, they honored the initial repair warranty and the tech came out and fixed it again. Fast forward to 5 months later and now the refrigerator is freezing all of my food. Because the fridge is out of warranty, I will have to pay for a tech to come out and will be charged parts and labor to fix the problem. I have now lost 3 full refrigerator loads of food and am left to resolve the issue on my own. I have a 20 year-old Kenmore fridge in my garage that works perfectly and my $2000 Kenmore fridge is a POS. NEVER BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!

Purchased Samsung Refrigerator in April of 2019, by Sept of 2019 freezer stopped working, a week later refrigerator stopped working. Called samsung and they sent out 2 different repair places, first one told us it was a sealed system and they did not work on those. Called Samsung back and asked them to replace the refrigerator they said they would have to try to repair first and unless there was a second problem that came up they would not replace it. Well that second problem was the refrigerator stopped cooling, I placed a thermometer that I purchased in refrigerator and took pictures, of temperature. The thermometer said 48 degrees while Samsung digital readout said it was 34 degrees. We lost over $400 dollars with of food and we see that Samsung will possibly reimburse up to $200 (maybe). Second repair person came out and said that he could not fix problem today that he would have to order parts which would take 3-5 days to get then schedule another appointment to do a temporary fix, he said he would recharge the system and then when we saw a temperature change of 10 degrees to call them and they would send a tech back out to attempt to find the leak. He stated that once they found the leak they would have to order parts and schedule another appointment to fix said it could take 2-3 weeks. All he did was take down serial number and model number never even checked out to see if he could find a problem. I called Samsung back and they did their Usual BS trying to get me to wait on repairs that could take another 2-3 weeks. I told her how about I come to your house and take your refrigerator away and you have nothing to store food in would that be an inconvenience. She said I understand your frustration but there is nothing I can do. I asked to speak to supervisor and she finally approved to replace the refrigerator said it would take approximately 7-14 days to get a replacement. Their Customer service Sucks. The refrigerator is a POS. I will never purchase any Samsung Products no matter what From here on out. Save yourself the headache and stress of having to deal with them and buy anything but Samsung. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!!!! THIS PRODUCT DOESNT EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR RATING!!!! But unable to give it a negative rating.

Please research carefully Samsungs refrigerator before you buy. The french model that we got has ice under the drawer and behind the back panel (a year after we bought the fridge). Samsung said it is not a common problem but research the internet and found many Samsung fridge has the same issues. Basically you need to open the back panel and add some sort of heating wire to make sure the little drain hole behind the back panel doesnt clog. We choose to unplug our fridge every 2 weeks and the hassle to remove all our food to our small fridge and freezer until we have money to replace this nice looking and useless fridge. I wont buy Samsung since they wont stand behind the product with design fault.

I just got a brand new Samsung DW80K7050US dishwasher which retails for $950. To install it, the electricity must be connected (easy) and the output line has to be connected (easy) and the supply line has to be connected (easy). But.. when I turn the water on, I can hear a high pressure leak but see no water coming from anywhere. After a few minutes, a puddle of water comes from under the machine. There isnt a drop of water IN the machine. That means that when the machine was put together, there is a leaky seal or missing washer someplace... And I have to uninstall the machine, turn it upside down and play surgeon for a few hours trying to fix this damned leak. That is ridiculous.Even worse, I have done searches on this, and that problem is not uncommon. Typically it is fixed by the install, but in this case, I installed it. Why should I pay someone $150 to connect 3 wires and two hoses? Its no more complicated than attaching a garden hose. Obviously they dont test their products for leaks before shipping them out.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 18 months ago at Lowes for $2000.00 and it was a french door fridge. It stopped getting cold so I got on Samsung website and found a repairman at The Appliance Doctor. They sent a man out and he looked at the fridge and said it is not worth fixing. It needs a computer and two other parts. He continued to say Samsung are junk and it will break again. I then called another well known appliance repair center and they also told me that they do not work on Samsung products. They stated they cant get parts for them. So then I contacted Samsung and that was like talking to my dog. Very unhelpful. I went out and replaced this a Whirlpool.

We made the mistake of purchasing a Samsung French door refrigerator. The compressor died and that was verified by the one repair shop within two hours that Samsung would allow to look at it. After three weeks we are filing a consumer action lawsuit in WI. When we call customer service, they have either lost what they said they had the day before or today, they need a 7000 number, a request that has not been made in the previous three weeks. Every day they say they will have an answer in 24 to 48 hours. That answer never comes. We have a B&B so have lost business. Avoid Samsung at all costs. There is no reasonable response to consumers.

#1. Ice maker froze up. From internet, learned this is a common defect. Had to trim plastic parts and dismantle ice maker to fix. #2. Very difficult to clean shelves and drawers. Gunk gets under glass and inside (!) of drawer fronts. You have to use a screwdriver to pry open plastic tabs. The prying process tends to chip the plastic permanently damaging the pieces. Other than these major design flaws, the refrigerator has kept food well. But being able to clean ones refrigerator easily without damaging it is such a basic critical design feature for me that I will steer me away from Samsung products in the future.

We purchased our Samsung refrigerator 4 years ago as new homeowners. Toward
We purchased our Samsung refrigerator 4 years ago as new homeowners. Towards the beginning of July this year, we started having issues with the freezer not keeping things frozen - ice cream melting, meat thawing, etc. After trying the recommendations in the manual and unplugging it to reset it per Samsung, it seemed like our problem was fixed... for about a week. So I called Samsung again. On July 21, a technician from one of their service centers, MidAmerica, came out and discovered our sealed refrigeration system was leaking (evaporator & compressor - attached is a picture of the evaporator; all the coils are supposed to be covered in ice and only the top one of ours is due to the loss of coolant)... he also informed us that the sealed refrigeration system was still under warranty (5 year warranty stated in manual). However, he couldnt fix it because he supposedly just moved to our state and didnt have the insurance/licensure to carry the parts... a little fishy, but he said we should be able to call Samsung and they will find a trained technician to fix it. Turns out - Samsung has no trained technicians for sealed refrigeration systems in our area, so they told us to find our own and they will reimburse us but only if the technician we found diagnosed the same problem... okay? So we call Mr. Appliance and they were fantastic! They came out on 7/30. They diagnosed the SAME problem but stated it would be over $2000 to fix it. They also informed us it was probably only a matter of time until our fresh food side stopped keeping things cool too. We were shocked. The refrigerator did not even cost that much to begin with and we also dont have $2000 lying around. So I contact Samsung again, spoke with a girl named Brady. I offered to email her the quote as well as our proof of purchase to show that it seemed ridiculous that we were going to repair a refrigerator under a manufacturers warranty for more than it was worth when we bought it. She put me on hold for a brief moment and came back to say we just needed to pay it and Samsung would reimburse us (mind you, there has never been anything in writing stating they would reimburse us... theyre expecting us to just go on their word). Refused to let me email the quote to them and also refused to let me speak to a supervisor about the issue. She stated a supervisor would email me... which never happened. In the meantime, we called Mr. Appliance about ordering the parts and they stated it would probably take over a month to get the compressor from Samsung... so my fiance calls Samsung to inform them of this. In our minds, it should not take a month (possibly longer) to get a warranty issue fixed! Asks to speak to a supervisor, on the phone for over an hour and talks to three separate people who are not supervisors and just keep saying its their policy to have us pay this exorbitant amount of money and expect them to reimburse us. We suggested that they just replace the refrigerator - they keep indirectly saying they will find a way to get the issue resolved. They say a supervisor will call us back in 24-48 hours... we wait 3 business days and havent heard anything, so I call them on 8/6. I spoke with Michael, who was very nice and genuinely seemed shocked that it was taking this long to get this fixed. He actually wanted me to email him the receipts and proof of purchase unlike Brady and stated they would be calling Mr. Appliance since they were the only people who said they could truly fix it. We were relieved. This was short-lived however because the next day they assign our ticket to MidAmerica AGAIN and some other local company (J&D) who had already told us they dont have someone trained in sealed refrigeration systems. By this time, I am irate. I call again and tell them to refer to the images of the receipts I sent, associated with the ticket number from my phone call on 8/6 with Michael. Gregory tells me there are no images with that ticket number. I felt like I was going crazy! These people are ridiculous. They are like robots every time you call - there is no history of ongoing issues, they close ticket numbers before the problem is resolved and just open a new one every time. They give you the run-around and obviously no one truly cares about resolving your problem. I submitted the images again and am still waiting on another phone call. If this product wasnt still under a manufacturers warranty, I wouldve been done weeks ago. It has affected our quality of life from the stress and time weve put into this and weve spent more money than anticipated on going out to eat and frequent grocery trips for fresh food. I feel defeated. I wish there was a no star option. It is somewhat comforting to see that so many other people have had issues with their Samsung refrigerators, as well as their customer service department, but also so unfortunate. I would NOT recommend any of their products to anyone at this point. I would never want anyone else to go through this like we have. Please consider this review (I know its long - sorry! ), as well as all the others, before purchasing a Samsung product.

I purchased a NEW Samsung dishwasher DW8OJ 302045-AC from a clearance centre on July 4/15. I had it installed, July 12th. By July 25th, it would not operate. July 29th I reported it to the Samsung service centre. It was transferred to a local appliance centre who ordered parts, and Sept. 7th, two electronic panels were replaced. It created a new problem. Now Samsung wants me to disconnect it, and they will pick it up, and after 2-3 weeks refund my money. They acknowledge that their product is defective but refuse to replace it or compensate me for the installation or disconnection or inconvenience.By the time I receive my refund, I will have owned this inferior product for almost 4 months and used it only 5 times. Never buy a Samsung dishwasher - this is not an isolated incident. Read the other negative reviews. The Samsung service department is located in eastern Canada. You can e-mail but good luck reaching them in the afternoons. QUALITY CONTROL AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION ARE NOT IMPORTANT TO SAMSUNG!
