Samsung has the absolute worst customer service. Their products fail, and Samsung does not take responsibility for design defects that result in multiple failures, even after multiple repairs. Please do your research from feedback from consumers who have actually purchased and owned the product for more than two years. (Although Samsung’s refrigerators are failing at a faster rate than ever, as some people are now experiencing problems within the first months of ownership as opposed to two years.)

SAMSUNG BUYER BEWARE - Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator!! We have had nothing but trouble since we bought ours (model #RF263BEAESR) a few years ago. Usually people that right good reviews have only had their refrigerator for a month or two. Ours worked well for the first year and then the trouble began. The icemaker broke first (it costs four to five hundred dollars to replace it) and then the defrost sensor broke (two hundred and fifty dollars to replace it). Now they say maybe its the fan - its never ending. Its a very pretty refrigerator but thats about it. There is a class action lawsuit on the ice maker and the fan and defrost sensor will soon follow. We have had Samsung certified repairmen out six times and one of the repairmen said that there is a design flaw on the refrigerator and that we should expect to keep having someone out to put a band aide on the problem.Samsung knows there is a design problem and they will do nothing to fix it. When we call Samsung they go through their written script and are worthless. We have escalated the matter and they always tell us that they will review our claims and get back to us in three to five days. They never call back. When we call them back they conveniently disconnect our call or they tell us that they cant hear us and they hang up. The Samsung call center is in the Dominican Republic. I felt I had to warn others before they made the same mistake we did in buying this horrible refrigerator. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator, you will regret it if you do!

Spent 3 months with this service provider to fix my Samsung refrigerator. The results are my refrigerator is still not working after 100 days back and forth with the service. The service was covered by Samsung due to some product issue. But after spending hours to diagnosis and fix the issue, the fridge is still not working. Since then, I can never get contact to follow up again. Really sad that all the time is wasted and spent lots of time and money on it. Should buy a brand new fridge from the first beginning.

I purchased this Samsung Convection Electric Stove approximately 4 years ago as Samsung received good reports for its electronics and appliances. After about a year of owning it, the rear burners no longer worked on low, the oven light blinked on and off, the oven shuts on and off and the convection fan was working intermittently. Sometimes, there is a ticking noise when I turn the oven on. I called Samsung in the beginning of the malfunctioning and was told my oven was no longer under warranty. This was the 2nd time my Thanksgiving turkey took 7 hours to cook. This product is defective in so many ways and should not be sold by retailers until they remedy all of the complaints appearing on sites such as ConsumerAffairs is remedied.

First, I must tell you this refrigerator was purchased for my 90-year old father who lived in the country by himself, 5 miles from any of his kids. It was purchased in 8/2011. Approximately one year later, it went into demo mode. Theres nothing in the book about it so I called Samsung. They said it had to be caused from a power surge and they told me to reset it, so I did. Approximately a month later, it did it again. This time, I did not call them. I reset it myself. On Oct. 31 of 2012, I had a knee replaced about three weeks after my dad called and said it went into demo mode again. My husband had to take me out there to reset it. It was on the weekend and we could not get a hold of Samsung, so I called my son-in-law who had had the same problems with his. He told me to unplug it and see if it would reset, which it did. It seems to work for a while. Again in Feb, it went into demo mode again. (When it does this, it is not working, no cold air.) Dad tried to reach us all day. Finally, he got a hold of us in the afternoon. The refrigerator had been off all day. My son-in-law went in the afternoon and turned the refrigerator back on. Samsung wont do anything because its been over a year. Lowes wont do anything because we did not buy the extended warranty. It has gone into demo once this month already. 1 1/2 years old and it is a pain in the butt for my whole family.

We purchased Samsung washer, dryer, & refrigerator from Lowes on Hilton Head Island. Nothing but trouble. Motor in washer and icemaker in fridge went out. We had to wait 3 weeks to have our washer serviced because they did not have an authorized service person in area. Today we paid $90.00 for a Samsung service person to come from Savannah GA to tell us that we need a $300.00 motor for the icemaker... plus labor... next week! Oh and by the way... Lowes is not carrying Samsung appliances anymore because of problems... go figure!!!

I have bought microwave, fridge, cell phones, stove, dishwasher and TV. All Samsung. The only thing working good is the TV, everything else started breaking down a year after we bought. We have become experts in fixing the fridge because the service on them sucks. You get the tech come over and they say they have no clue about them and charge you. And same problem occur 2 weeks later. Would never buy Samsung again.

Samsung French Door Model RF4287HARS/XAA - In April 2013, we bought our $3,000 Samsung fridge. On June 29th, 2013, I called to report a problem that we couldnt activate the electronic circuit board. We couldnt switch from cubed to crushed ice. On 18 Jul 13 the complete fridge failed. Today is 25 Jul 13 and its still not fixed. Thats after over 5 calls to Samsung and the same to the local retailer. We were traveling so all the food was lost and what amazes me is the cavalier response from Samsung always apologizing and promising to have someone else to call but having no one to fix it. This is the worst customer support Ive ever experienced by a long shot.

I purchased a new Samsung double door range. Within a month I noticed that part of the time when the oven was preheated the top door wouldnt open. However if you open both doors it will open. I was told by customer service that this was a safety option to keep a blast of hot air from coming out at you. I should have insisted that it be checked by a tech. If it were for my safety I think it would be consistent. They will tell you anything to get you off the phone. I bought it from Sears. I wish Id bought it from Lowes. Then I could have just taken it back like I did the Samsung microwave that lasted about a month. Never! Ever! buy Samsung anything again!

Large burner (Samsung Induction Range NE58K9560WS) worked properly about three times then suddenly would turn off after about 3 seconds. First service attempt could not get it to work but if he traded out knob would work so was not prepared and had to return with another knob. Second service call different guy with different problems he could not figure out. Third call, original service guy who still could not get it to work properly so the same people they called for help each time said I had to use a VERY large heavy pot for it to work. I was not there. I heard this through my husband. So supposedly the same pot that didnt work before now does work on that burner and my husband was supposedly EDUCATED about the proper pan size to use for each burner. Interesting as my old induction Kenmore never had a problem, and I could use any size pan on any burner. Well when I got home I tried the large pot on the burner but the scale on the knob was completely off. As I turned the knob it does not start until I get to simmer and it boosts to a 6, then the next notch goes to 9. Then 8, then to 4!!! It is suppose to increase incrementally from 1 to 9! So I call back to tell them the problem and I am supposedly in service call time out, as they clearly dont believe the stove has anything wrong with it. I am very frustrated and really wish I had never purchased this appliance. Did I mention that the service techs rely on YouTube like videos to troubleshoot and repair, and also call their tech support.

The tray fills with water. The ice is made. The maker flips and twists the ice out of the holder. However, half the ice stays in the holder. The ice cracks leaving a little ice in each cube tray. When the water fills up again, it overflows everywhere making a frozen mess. We have resent the ice maker, changed temperatures in the freezer and nothing resolves the problem. I was cooking dinner on the cooktop. I looked down and saw that the front glass of the oven door was completely shattered. One front element on the top was on medium heat as I made dinner. I had not used the oven in several days. I had not banged or even touched the oven door. Is it still safe to use the cooktop? We immediately went to the electrical box and shut off the breaker as we didnt know what had caused the glass to break when there wasnt any heat in the oven. We were excited about buying our home and I wanted the Samsung French Door Refrigerator in Stainless Steel. My husband begged me not to get it - I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED... We bought the refrigerator in November 2014 and from December 2014 to March 2018. I have had the same problem. The ice maker freezes, it leaks from the ice maker and I have to put a towel down... REALLY... I have called Samsung who passes the buck. They asked me to send all my documentation, which I did, then tells me that I need to get someone out there to do a service order and for ME to pay for it.Then they tell me that in Beaumont, Texas there is not anyone that services Samsung anymore and that I need to find someone... then said BYE. Really, everyone on here is having the same problem and Samsung is not doing anything about a faulty appliance. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product. They do NOT honor their name and do not honor their product. Again BUYER BEWARE of this refrigerator... yes its pretty but it does not work.

We bought this at HHGregg in June 2015 for $2000. Thought it would be our last refrigerator. No such luck! Nine months after buying it, it started making loud noises and freezing up inside the back wall. For all practical purposes, their customer service is non existent! Got passed from one to the other, asking the same questions over and over, like the model #, serial #, etc. Asked irrelevant things like how many Samsung products we owned. Then said it probably wasnt level and to look under it! Totally insane! Got nowhere so called the store that sold it to us and they finally got in touch with a rep who set up the repair. Thought that was the end of it but three months later, around July 1st this year, the clanging noise returned and it wasnt cooling properly! Same problem with icing and fan. Now it is one month out of warranty! Called previous repair company and they couldnt come for over two weeks! Tried Angies List and Home Advisor. Got call backs but they stated outright that they wouldnt work on Samsung appliances because of shoddy workmanship and numerous problems! Finally got someone to look at it. He tested it and said two motherboards were burnt out, along with needing new fan, thermostats (plural), etc. Said parts come from overseas and could take months and it would be over $1000 to fix, with no guarantee it would last! We cant go without a refrigerator so ended up junking it and buying a new one. Not Samsung! Never again! So for 13 months, we had a pretty appliance that doesnt work! These obviously should have been recalled! Were back to the top freezer model, recommended by the repairman and this time bought a 4 year warranty. Its disgusting that they can sell such junk and are not stopped! It was an expensive $2100 mistake!

Had it only 2 years and its already broken. It stopped cooling the refrigerator side. Stays at about 60 degrees. The error code stated the fan had an issue. Sure enough it was iced up. Called a tech to take a look. He said at first the issue was with the drain. Since the water wasnt draining then everything would ice up. He said he fixed that, and later it iced up again. Then the issue was with Freon leaking.

I would never purchase or recommend a Samsung appliance again after our experience with our Samsung refrigerator that we purchased in Fall 2013. After owning the refrigerator for ~9 months, I began to notice water accumulating under the deli drawer. I thought it might just be normal and cleaned it up every month or so. Around 15 months after purchase, I noticed the water accumulating more often and to a greater degree. Water would spill out of the fridge when we opened the doors (sometimes sheets of ice). I called Samsung and the refrigerator was not under warranty any longer.Over a period of the next 9 months, Samsung sent out 3 different repair companies. None of the companies could fix the problem. Water and ice continued to accumulate, spilling all over the floor whenever the fridge was opened. Large amounts of mildew grew due to the moisture. The fridge had to be shop-vacuumed monthly to clean out all of the water. After Samsung telling us that there was nothing else that they could do, we finally purchased a new refrigerator from a different manufacturer. We moved the fridge to our garage and it is now going to have to be hauled away due to the continual growth of mildew due to the water accumulation problem. We are so frustrated that we spent $2000+ on this refrigerator and it cannot even be used in our garage!

Went online filed complaint and sent pictures. Called 1-800-726-7864 again and talked with customer representative, was told we were out of date for service. I advised that Samsung has a flaw, defect in their product -- the product is now rusting and what can you do to fix it. I have read other reviews and I am horrified to find that we are not alone in our experience. But what is even worse is that we bought our Samsung Range in late 2010 not because our 30 year old oven didnt work, but because I wanted a new sleek glass top. In Dec 2011, we also experienced the sizzling sound immediately followed by a loud POP and then black smoke and flames coming from behind the controls. After going the rounds with Samsung customer service etc, we finally got someone out to replace the motherboard at the cost of a service call for us because even though it had been just over a year, our product was out of warranty because it was manufactured 3 years prior to our purchase! Whatever! Then, to make matters worse, while baking a cake today (nearly 6 years later), DEJA VU!! It happened again. Exactly the same as the first time. So here I did waiting for a return phone call because I told Samsung I wanted them to get their dangerous piece of crap out of my house before it killed my family, of which Im certain its capable of doing. I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance and not only will I not recommend them, Ill also try to convince anyone thats thinking of getting one, not to!

DO NOT BUY Samsung French Door fridges! I have almost $3000 invested in a fridge that gave little, annoying problems at first, but as soon as the VERY SHORT warranty was up, the ice maker problems got worse and worse... Dripping water out of the ice maker flapper door, slushy ice cubes, ice dams in the ice maker itself, taking 1 minute or so to drop out 3-5 ice cubes, odd noises, not making ice at all... You name it.I tried to get a repairman, but no one returned my calls--then I discovered from several local sellers of the Samsung French door fridges, that there are so many problems with them, that repairmen dont want to repair them at all--knowing they will never solve their clients problems. The repairmen might take the call IF the unit is still on warranty, simply because they know theyll get more and more repair calls--all paid by Samsung. Once the warranty is gone, they dont want to deal with Samsung units.Consider this: I have a new millennium fridge and I make ice the way my Mom did in the 1950s--with ice cube trays! I think these units should be recalled--these are major expenses for a family--just like buying a car that is unsafe or poorly designed--or is an outright Lemon. Samsungs reply to me was a boilerplate letter with links pasted in to their WELL KNOWN repair bulletins... Each one I had already known about and tried! Then they linked to how to get a repair ticket started, but then repeated their warranty rules. Samsung customer satisfaction? Rate that at ZERO. If you know anyone considering one of these Samsung units, steer them away--- SHARE this post. PLEASE SHARE!

We have the Family Hub French door with the screen in front. Paid approx $2300. This thing is a piece of garbage. First, they changed the app with no notification so we lost all the things we had programmed including pictures. The ice maker is HORRIBLE!!! So horrible that I have invested in a portable countertop ice maker. Im not sure whats going on with it, but whenever we call for service, were told we have to defrost it before theyll come. How does that show them the issue? The ice and water spills outside the ice bucket and then freezes together. Every few days, it stops making ice. Thats because its clogged with ice and cant work any longer. I have to take a hair dryer to it to defrost all the stuck frozen water and ice cubes. Today I did it, and I noticed there is a ton of mold under the lip of the mouth where the water and ice comes out to the dispenser. Gross. There is no way to get to the mold. Also, ice gets stuck in the dispenser and melts, so it leaks onto the dispenser on the door. I wish I would have taken a picture of the clumped frozen water before I posted this. Piece of garbage. Do not buy!

I have the Samsung Elite gas 6.3 cubic feet flex Duo Range. The functionality of this range is top-notch, Bakes like a dream.. My only complaint and its a huge one because of the price point of this Appliance is the shoddy finish. The enamel cooktop started peeling within 6 months and the black stainless isnt really stainless. Its a cheap black/paint coating that has been flaking off after about 3 months. OMG. So upset I did not read reviews before purchase. My husband found a beautiful Samsung 25.5 cu ft French Door refrigerator at Lowes. It was on sale for 50% off. It had a dent in it. Tiny dent. No big issue. Fortunately we bought the 5 year warranty. Lowes delivered it. At delivery it had several more tiny dents, a deep gouge (small), and a huge crease on the right hand door and all the way down to the freezer door. So much for Lowes delivery service. Freezer not working, fridge not working. Ruined a weeks worth of groceries. Havent even plugged in the ice maker or anything--because we have always heard the ice makers in Arizona are the first to go because of the hard water. Did the reset as suggested in the manual. No go. No response from Samsung and no response from Lowes. So our good deal is really not a good deal at all!

Even though the back of the refrigerator is sealed, and the warranty says it covers sealed parts, we were told that it didnt include the fans. We were referred to a repair company and were told it would cost us approximately $375 to repair. We looked at reviews on this website and became extremely upset. Not only is this a common defect for this refrigerator, repairs have failed, having the same problem reappear. Why cant something be done to protect the consumer. I will never buy another Samsung product, plus I read that Samsung is owned by Maytag. What do we do? Weve purchased many, many items at Lowes, where we bought these items. Dont buy Samsung Ranges. I brought the chef collection 30 last year and within two months had to exchange it for another. After four technicians later and new computer boards, they finally replaced it with a new one. The range would go on by itself and the only way to shut it off was the main switch in the basement. So far so good until one day I was making a sandwich for lunch and heard this loud cracking. I didnt know where it was coming from so that night when I started dinner I realized it was the cooktop that cracked. I wasnt using it, the range was off. This is most bizarre. How can this happen? Well I looked up on this consumer site and apparently Im not the first person. So theres got to be a defect right? Maybe a recall is in order. When I called Samsung they said they would extend my warranty but I needed a tech to come out to make sure it wasnt caused by physical damage. Okay a tech came out and clearly wrote that it was not caused by physical damage and reported that to Samsung. I called them to see what happens next and they claim I need a second opinion and more pictures. They forwarded more pics and Samsung said it was caused by physical damage and I wasnt covered by the warranty. I asked a customer relations person who can I talk to that can help me. She said an executive customer service person, but they only have outgoing calls, you will have to wait until they call you. That person called me today and left a message and told me according to the pictures it was physical damage. So I guess they are calling me a liar. Im not done with them yet, but they are the lowest of the low companies that screw people right and left. Their customer service is full of abrasive people that will not help me. They only have outgoing calls. What in the hell is that? Ive had two of their ranges in 15 months and Im sorry I ever bought one. Terrible company. I bought this item at Best Buy 8/17/2015.

Water and ice are in the door and the water filter is at waist level for easy changing. I think the refrigerator was thoughtfully designed to serve almost any need for food storage, easy access and easy cleaning. When we called for service the second time, Lowes informed us that the Service technician would determine whether or not the service call is covered under the warranty, this made us hesitant to keep calling on the same problem. We still have no ice and only promises from Lowes that Service Advantage would contact us. (Isnt that similar to asking the fox to check the hen house to see if any chickens are missing?) We contacted Service Advantage 8 times, repairs made 8 times, nothing worked. We were told by Lowes store manager that after 7 calls on the same problem the item would be declared a lemon. Samsung Refrigerators are beautiful to look at, but are totally unreliable and everyone that you talk to that owns one says they have problems with the ice maker.

Samsung Two Sided Refrigerator (Model RS22HDHPNSR). Bought summer of 2015 at Best Buy. By early 2016, when trying to replace the water filter the first time, the filters didnt fit. The teeth of the locking system didnt even look the same. When I called to have it serviced, Samsung came out. Technician explained that the filter system has changed since the make of my fridge. He changed out the whole system as he said it should have been done before the purchase. Now today, April 2017, the filter literally popped out of the system, cracking the plastic filter head off and water gushing all over my kitchen floor. Two problems within less than two years for a fridge valued $2,000! Theres no words for that!!

I bought this fridge in 2014 and one for my parents shortly after. For the first 2 years they both worked great. The last 2 years not so much. My parents unit ice machine has been replaced twice due to it freezing up and not working. I fortunately have not had that problem with the ice machine. The freezer and middle drawer of the fridge work great and maintain temperature without issue. The main section of the refrigerator does a very poor job of keep food cold. I discovered the fan that is supposed to circulate the air was not working. Samsung wanting to charge some crazy amount of money just to come troubleshoot it so I tore it apart myself. In the back of the fridge the cooling coil was frozen over and caused the fan to burn out. After thawing the fridge and replacing the fan it worked for a few months but subsequently froze again. Replacing this fan every few months seem very silly and now I regularly have to tear the fridge apart and thaw the coil to ensure it doesn’t burn out the motor. The last 6 months I have noticed that even when the fan is working the fridge does not stay cold anymore. The door reads 34 degrees but in the fridge it is anywhere from 40 to 60 degrees and any given time. It is a shame that 2 refrigerators that cost nearly $3000 dont work after less than 4 years. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator again. Both units are nothing but JUNK now!!! Now we have to decide if we want to continue to throw items away when it decides it doesn’t want to keep food cold or buy another $3000 fridge. Very disappointed.

I purchased my refrigerator on the 16-7-13 model SR690GDLS, 7 months later there was a bubble in the door underneath the water dispenser. The whole door was replaced on the 1-4-17 and the top drip tray part that was faulty in its design as it had holes in it so the water would drip into the bottom tray. This was replaced with one that did not have any holes in it so the water could not go in to the bottom tray. I was told that this would fix the problem. Then after 3 months the plastic around the glass started to crack. I had them replaced on the 4-8-14. Samsung rang me a few days later and said they were extremely sorry for all the trouble and sent me two movie tickets. Two weeks later I notice another bubble on the new door. I rang Samsung again, they sent another door out and another top drip tray with no holes and replaced them on the 9-9-14 only 5 months since the last door was fitted. I suggested to the repairman that the underneath tray may be the faulty one as it was not replaced last time and that the same thing has happened again and that may be the problem and could he please replace that part also. He said that I would have to ring Samsung and order it so I rang Samsung while he was finishing off and they asked to speak to him. He told them that it wasnt faulty and that he replaced what was sent. I then explained the situation again to Samsung and said that that was his opinion. But my opinion is that it must be faulty as it is the only part that has not been replaced and I have had the same problem and do not want it to happen again. She said she would order the part and call me back. 30mins later she called and said they did not think that the part is faulty and that if I ask them to send it out, I have to pay for it. As you can see I am not happy with this situation and the problem is not fixed as I do not have a guarantee that it will not happen again.

First the ice maker froze up and then just quit working and I had to pay over $200 to replace it. Then the shelves on the French door began to break into many pieces... just exploded and dumped everything on the floor. I had to replace two of them. Now less than 1 month later one of the replacement shelves has broken into pieces again. Also, the plastic on the vegetable drawer has now decayed into pieces.

The Samsung people were also not easy to reach nor helpful at all. At one point they actually hung up on me after only having their dishwasher for two months. Furthermore, I am more disgusted with Best Buy and the other large chains for promoting the sale of Samsung dishwashers. I should have read the reviews on Samsung first!

After being hit with super storm Sandy, I bought five Samsung appliances, each one has flaws. I am so disgusted with owning these products. The quality is very poor. The stove I purchased cooks really well but it is vented from the door. Years ago, the stoves vented from the top and sometimes pan handles burned or were extremely hot. Today, they vent from the door. Now I noticed that the five knobs are all burnt. Since I own the stove for more than a year, it is not covered and they feel this is not a mechanical problem. This is not my fault. It is a defect in the product if it burns the handles. I took out a warranty from Lowes and they say it is not covered under the extended warranty. This is a problem with the way the stove vents - it should be covered under the warranty. I am very unhappy.

We purchased this Samsung Stainless Steel Model DW80F800UWS from Best Buy as a package deal along with a fridge, oven and washer/dryer. This dishwasher has been the only problem and has been defective in the first two months after our purchase. We had a drainage error code problem which a local company contracted with Samsung came out and replaced the part. After 6 months, they had to come out again and replace test another part. These both were under warranty. A third time the same sensor had gone out and they said it wasnt under warranty and that we would have to pay $350 to fix. This was almost half the price of the product. We could not afford to fix the problem and after leaving it sit for 6 months and hand washing dishes I decided to test it to see if it would work and it has ran 5 full cycles. My only guess is that the sensor has to dry out. So after every time I wash I leave the door open to air dry the unit and wait almost 24 hours before loading it up and running it. This is a pain and I know that my working unit will soon give me that dreaded error code again and Im back to hand washing dishes. Samsung definitely should have a class action lawsuit against them for knowingly having installed faulty sensors that give out immediately and making owners annoyed but happy at a free immediate repair on them until warranty expires and then we have to spend hundreds on a part that probably cost them a few bucks to make. Id also like to include that his unit has never successfully cleaned dishes. There have always been food residue along with wet dishes after the cycle has completed. I actually had a repairmen tell me that with this unit I needed to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Also, they told me to not use tabs but to use powder so I could add twice the amount of dishwasher cleaner needed to break down food particles. I also need to run the kitchen faucet awhile before starting to get the water hot it would wash better. I, like an idiot did all of these things. Maybe if I stand on one leg and twirl around it might make it work also.

Like so many reviewers, we had the same problem with the twin cooling system. We bought the refrigerator from Lowes in October of 2009 on sale. Up until this problem, we were very happy with the refrigerator. Several months ago, the fridge started to make a lot of noise. What the...? Then, I noticed that our milk went bad, before the expiration date. So, my husband used an instant thermometer (therma pen) and our milk was at 58 degrees. Samsung tech support tried to troubleshoot, and blamed our thermometer as the problem! Really? My husband did a lot of internet research, and discovered a video on YouTube on how to fix the problem. Apparently, theres a problem with the coil in the twin cooling area that heats up any ice build-up (Im not mechanic/engineer, so Im explaining as simplified as I can). We emptied the refrigerator and he opened up the twin cooler. There was so much ice build up inside and the motor was frozen solid! No wonder it quit cooling! This is not covered under warranty (ours had expired anyway, though we bought an extended warranty). Using a blow dryer, he patiently thawed out the area and the tube and inserted a copper wire (that the YouTube video said would fix the problem). When he put all the parts back in, the motor started up again! Lets just hope this fix is what the YouTuber swears works. I sure hope so, or were going to have bought another refrigerator. Im happy with our Samsung laptops and TVs, but never again would I buy a Samsung refrigerator! Ill try and update if this is a permanent fix, but its worth a try.

Bought Samsung range, refrigerator and microwave at the beginning of 2013. The microwave died after 2 days and the Lowes representative let us return it. He said he had seen a lot of problems, so we got a GE instead. The touch pad on the range never worked properly and have had techs out here 6 times. They can never fix it in one call. They have to diagnose, then order parts. It is now broken again and we are due to have a tech come out on September 1st. Every time they come, I have to miss 1/2 a day of work. No weekend appointments available. The handle on the refrigerator broke off and they repaired that. Now the plastic shelves are breaking. These products are very cheaply made. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!

I bought a Samsung refrigerator in February of 2007. In 2009, it froze up under the plastic wall in the back, making it impossible to close the door. I paid a repairman $200.00 to come and fix it. He put on a new thermostat, cleaned the coils, defrosted everything and put it back together. 1 year later I had to call him back because it did exactly the same thing. Another $150.00. Then in March it did it again. I called a different repairman, thinking he might be able to truly fix the issue, and he told me straight up that Samsung refrigerators have one fan for freezer and fridge. Its a bad plan, it doesnt work and you cant fix it. Lucky me. Well, it happened to me again today, so, now every 2 to 6 months I have to take my fridge apart, defrost it and put it back together. Its a great plan and Samsung is of no help at all. Too bad so sad, but I wont be buying ANYTHING Samsung again... EVER! Ive posted on FB and continue to tell all of my friends what crap they sell.

We have had nothing but problems with our Samsung refrigerator model RF24J996054. We have to defrost the ice maker at least every other week. The ice is soft, and gets stuck when dispensing. Further, the bin to store ice, does not hold enough ice to make it worthwhile. We are thankful that we have our old Jenn-Air in the garage. It is a workhorse. It is sad after spending sooo much money on a new refrigerator, we are traveling back and forth to the garage to get ice. We are in the middle of yet another repair, and have been waiting over two months for the part. I called today, again, and am being told that the part is not available. Really? So now what do we do? Samsung makes a poorly executed product, then doesnt have the parts to fix it? I will never buy another Samsung product again, and would not recommend Samsung to anyone. They dont even deserve the one star.

New Microwave Caught Fire - Purchased Samsung Microwave Model Number ME18H7
New Microwave Caught Fire - Purchased Samsung Microwave Model Number ME18H704SFG on 07-03-2016 from HHgregg. They delivered the microwave on Saturday 07-09-2016. Used the microwave Saturday and Sunday. Monday morning 07-11-2016 my wife screamed FIRE so I ran to the kitchen where the microwave door was open and a flame about 4-5 inches long was jetting out from the side of the interior of the microwave. When I say jetting it was like a torch so I got the Fire Extinguisher and put it out then unplugged it. The inside wall was still hot to the touch for some time so I removed it from above the Gas Range and Sat it outside for the day. Now there is a big hole in the side wall of the microwave.I called HHgregg and they told me to call Samsung. I called 800 726-7864, spoke to a lady there who gave me a transaction number and said a Product Specialist would call me back within 4 hours. Said I needed to call back with the serial number or I would be charged a service call fee. That return call did not happen within 4 hours so I called again and spoke to another lady who gave me a claim ticket and a service ticket and said the claim folks would call me within 24 hours and the service folks would call back the same day. I did receive a text from service saying The repair facility has accepted your repair. ASC Phone 201-672-9502 ASC will contact you within 2 business days. Then received a call from service around 5:34 who left a message which I returned the call. The lady also needed the serial number which I provided the next day and they have scheduled a service person to come out... today is the 12 the service person will come on the 19 between 10-2. I told her I did not want them to attempt to repair this unit and give it back to me. She said the service person would not take the unit but would take photos and send to Samsung where they would determine if it could be repaired. I told her I would not let that unit back into my home. She said if you refuse the service then you will be left with a broken microwave. This is where I have left this issue. We will see what happens when the service person comes out.

Stove has a poor layout and pans do not fit on burners. Refrigerator has cheap parts that snap off, warp or do not close. DONT BUY SAMSUNG. THEIR PRODUCTS REALLY SUCK FOR THE AMERICAN MARKET. I purchased a Samsung dishwasher, model DD81-01549A_EN a little over a year and a half ago. It is the worst purchase I have ever made. The dishes do not come clean unless you wash them prior to putting them in the dishwasher (kind of defeats the purpose). If you have cereal bowls, forget about finding a good way to load them. The bottom rack tines are at an odd angle and hold some plates too close together. The silverware must be rinsed and loaded working end up, and dont put 2 spoons in the same bin. I followed all of the manufacturer recommendations for loading and running the piece of crap. It is the worst dishwasher I have ever used. A total waste of money. I have a french door refrigerator, model RF197ACWP, that was purchased 6 years ago. In the past 2 years we have had it worked on for collecting water in the crisper drawers and water and ice on the bottom shelf. We have spent over $600 on repairs and the problem continues. I have read many reviews now with the same issue. Over the past 2 months, through numerous phone calls, I have spent around 4 hours on the phone with Samsung, trying to get some compensation. I have been giving inaccurate information, transferred to the wrong department, hung up on, put on hold and never returned to, been spoken to in a rude way and many other discouraging encounters. It felt as though they were purposefully trying to shake me from pursuing this issue! I have never felt so disrespected by a company. The last thing they told me is that I will be reimbursed part of the cost of the refrigerator, but they have not followed through on any of the steps yet, which they told me would be weeks ago! I am so discouraged by the product and customer service. I guess I will now be looking into signing up for a class action suit or whatever else can be done.

When I tried to register the product at the Samsung site, it kept kicking me out to correct non-existent errors, giving me the suspicion they didnt want to accept my information or to honor the warranty. I got them on the phone and they cheerfully set-up an appt. with the only Samsung service available in a 75 mile radius, and I live just outside Chicago! Not sure what had happened to my brand new dishwasher, I decided to call the service outlet 12 miles from my home to inquire about the possibility of it being due to bad electric service. They informed me that the visit alone would be $138! I since realized it was Samsungs fault because I have 4 other electronic appliances that have been around for 5 years, trouble-free.But I also decided to Google trouble with this dishwasher and immediately found a website called: Consumer Complaints & Reviews. Apparently, I wasnt the only one who discovered too late, that the most important part of selling me a Samsung dishwasher is getting me to purchase it... Of the top 125 complaints, there are about 20-30 Best Buy customers. The typical breakdown concerns the Chinese electronic control panel which is what my problem is, according to the trouble code. The dishwasher will recover after about 4-8 hours, begins a new wash cycle and then a few minutes later, stops and blinks the LEDs.Ive had it for 6 months and used it 10 times. I have the original box of Powerball tablets recommended by Samsung. I live alone and usually wash a lot by hand instead of wasting energy, soap, etc. Im presently at home with a back injury and no dishwasher! I can only stand for about 2 to 4 minutes and Im still paying for the broken Samsung. So far, the cost is $50.00 per wash load!I called Best Buy for help. I wanted to trade this for a new dishwasher of a different brand and they offered to take the unit away for me, while there, delivering my new purchase! I got angry and said, I couldnt find out it was defective before your time limit. I dont have that many dishes. They asked me if Id bought the extended service plan and I got more angry. I said: Once you get it out the door, it’s next customer? What happened to standing by your product? Youre in this business, obviously, you know this is junk, why is it on your floor to sell to me?According to these bad reviews at Consumer Complaints & Reviews, Samsung had denied, blamed and dragged their feet at the customers expense for months at a time in many cases. So my worst fears about trying to clean my dishes with my injury are coming true! WHY Samsung? WHY Best Buy? I hope you have the decency to allow this review to be posted here, for the sake of your remaining customers, because Ive taken myself off your mailing list and cutting up your so-called: Elite membership! Just in case you censor this review, Ill be posting it all over the internet, everywhere I can, until my undeserved punishment is repealed by you or Samsung.

I spent $2200 on a Samsung Refrigerator (model RF4287HAPB). As Im reading, I see the model number doesnt matter - they are all junk. Id like to submit my experience. Today is 9/6/12. I bought my refrigerator on 9/20/11. On 8/20/12, the screen started reading an error code. I called Samsung, who sent out a repair person. The repair person stated it was from the freezer. Its irreparable because the wires where the malfunction occurred are in a non-removable part of the unit, and therefore, the code is permanently affixed. I cannot operate what temperature setting, or whether I want cubed or crushed ice.In other words, once a part goes, it affects the whole unit. My part was a freezer sensor affixed with small plastic clips (which a consumer would not know since its not easily seen). Somehow, it became dislodged and the wires were cut, thus, making the unit irreparable. My spouse is an engineer who has designed some items that most people are aware of and rely on a daily basis. I explained the design to him and his comments were that this was a highly flawed design and structure. The refrigerator is under warranty, still. I am replacing it with a better model (i.e., not Samsung). I purchased the unit at Sears and they are replacing it with the cost of a new refrigerator, as to what I paid for the original unit. Im glad I purchased there since it appears that Lowes and Home Depot do not honor their customers. I can purchase another brand and not Samsung. I wish I had done my homework before I made this purchase. Additionally, Id like to add, there is no way to effectively clean the shelves and side doors since it has a multitude of parts and they do not come apart. So, it allows bacterial growth from water and spills. I have kept this refrigerator clean and I dont have that problem. But I can see how it would occur since there are cracks and crevices that water and spills can seep and there is no way to effectively dry them since its impossible to get any apparatus down there, or you risk breaking it all together.

This sounds as if there should have been a recall since he told me that he had replaced several with the newer type probe. I do not have any hope of anything being done by Samsung but it sounds as if they should have addressed this problem instead of denying that there is a problem.

I noticed dripping from the ice maker on the Thursday before New Years weekend. We immediately called service. They said to do a reset by unplugging the fridge for 3 minutes. We did as instructed to no avail. They would not schedule a service call because they said to give it a chance.and check it in the morning. Needless to say, there was nothing cold in the morning. When we called again they refused to do anything before Tuesday. It was a Holiday weekend. This product is not one year old yet they refused any help. When we continued to ask for help we were told to send an email and wait for a response. That response came after 5 pm so it was too late to do anything. We have now been without refrigeration for 6 days. DONT BUY SAMSUNG!!!

We purchased our Samsung #FTQ353IWUX stove 8 years ago. There have always been little problems, all happening after our extended warranty expired. Ie: the glass top cracked; cleaning cycle never completely cleaned the oven; now I have a problem with the oven light flashing off and on and snap/crackling/popping when I turn the oven on. Purchased from Lowes. They gave me 2 repair companies to call. Neither will touch a Samsung. So, off to buy a new stove in the next day or 2 and it will NOT be a Samsung.

SAMSUNG.... SAMSUNG.... Remember that name and do not buy a refrigerator from them... TWICE in the last week they made an offer to buy back our fridge. The second offer was $150 more than the first... gave me ticket numbers both time and the second time said a acceptance package was in the mail... Then out of the blue some little girl from their C/S office called tonight and reneged on the offer... said it had been denied and then could not let me talk to a Manager, Supervisor or Team Lead. She was all that was working tonight... Wish we had checked all the online reviews before we ever spent $2500 dollars on a fridge that has caused $8000 dollars worth of damage to my floors. Remember the name... SAMSUNG.

I bought a new fridge in November. March it stopped working. Call Lowes they say. They cant do anything to help, call Samsung. They come out look at it and say Parts will be a week. Then parts didnt come as expected. So its two weeks before they come and (fix) it then a week goes by and now it stopped working again. Next week they will look at it. I know it will take another week for parts. So now I have a new fridge for 5 months and at least 1 month it hasnt worked. I have lost all my food twice in the last month totaling over 2,000$ in loss. They say it has to break 3 Times before they replace it. Meanwhile I have no fridge. The parts alone cost as much as half the fridge so in my mind its a total loss and I want a new fridge delivered now. I bought new fridge and it isnt as good as the old one.

I purchase a Samsung 4 door refrigerator model RF32FMQDBSR/AA around October/November 2013. Since then the icemaker has never worked properly even after I called a technician to come fix it and constantly defrosting the icemaker because ice built up inside and it would not work at all. NOW the refrigerator will not cool down... stays around 53 degrees and that is too warm to keep milk and other luncheon meat fresh up to expire date. The worst thing is I have not had it even 4 years yet. Looking at some of the other reviews, I now see that it was a mistake to buy SAMSUNG appliances... I have a Samsung top load washing machine also and see there was a recall on some models. Anyways if it is too costly to have this Fridge fix I will cut my losses and just buy another refrigerator. I strongly feel that SAMSUNG should take responsibility and recall this model. Since that is not likely I will never buy NOTHING Samsung again.

Purchased from Best Buy a Samsung 30 electric range, NE595ROABSR on 7/10/13. The convection fan started running super loud and then it quit working completely! I called samsung and was informed that it was out of warranty. One year only!! What?! They told me I could pay $300 to extend the warranty. However, to save money, I think we are going to order a new convection fan on Repairclinic.com for $40 and install it ourselves after we watch a Youtube video. We are very disappointed! Also, we had issues with the oven taking more than 10 minutes to heat and also had issues with condensation and dirt between the door after a self-cleaning. Definitely would avoid buying Samsung in the future!

Steam/Heat from the stove/oven seems to set it off. Since its an over the range microwave, it should be able to tolerate some heat or steam. Sometimes the blow drying works and other times it doesnt. Our beautiful and expensive Samsung fridge has locked up several times, requiring a hard defrost. This time it actually burnt up the fan, requiring an emergency overnight purchase of a new fan. And were not sure the new fan will work - the serial numbers on our fan show that its no longer available, and Samsung doesnt have replacements. We had to go with a third party and hope their best guess is right. In the meantime our food is in coolers for two days, and the ** of it is that Im pretty sure that the best case scenario is that this fan will fit, and in a few months it will all freeze solid and lock up and burn the fan out again.Im ready to throw in the towel, but we spent a couple of grand on this (considerable for a not-wealthy family) and my husband wants to keep trying. It would be so bad but apparently this has been going for almost a decade. Im pissed off at Samsung for still putting out this shoddy product, as well as Lowes for continuing to see it. I purchased my home 1 1/2 years ago and my home came with a brand new Samsung fridge, range and dishwasher. My dishwasher has already been serviced 3 times and it still stops working sometimes and has a flashing light that will blink to indicate a malfunction. My range worked fine until a week ago when we heard a very loud pop and the range completely shut down. We spoke with Samsung and they will not do anything about it. If you want to spend thousands on an appliance that will not last more than 2-3 years, Samsung appliances are for you. I am very surprised that a company as successful as Samsung has not recalled these potentially hazardous and outright disastrous products. One can assume, based on their lack of taking care of these problems, that within 3 years Samsung will no longer be selling appliances. I am extremely disappointed with this company and their products. Buyer Beware.

Purchased: August 2015. Samsung side by side with dual cooling, ice maker, high end. Best Buy is promoting these with a vengeance. Within two months of purchase, I called because compressor was making hard rattling noise. Yeah, they do that, said the technician. Called a second time about 6 weeks later because noise did not improve, only got worse. Yeah, they are loud arent they, said the technician, but it is cooling, right? Fast forward to October, 2016. This refrigerator can be described as: 1) Ready to launch, 2) A Mack Truck idling in my kitchen, 3) a flat head V-8 without oil - Granted, these are hyperbole, but the point is, this is a refrigerator guys, not a power tool. Not only exceptionally loud but the thing runs constantly. I know all new refrigerators are low watt, run a long time efficient just like my prior 18 year old Kenmore, but just about every morning after it has been sitting there with the door closed for 7 hours, it is cranking away, seemingly at its loudest. So I called Best Buy because I bought the 5 year warranty. No problem, we will send someone out right away. Guy shows up, Yeah, terribly noisy, well put in for a new compressor. Wow, that is great! Then there was this huge mess up between the Best Buy/Geek Squad hand-off to the people that were going to actually do the work. Two weeks later, technician shows up 10 days late. Thats the noise they make nowadays, yep. If your refrigerator was behind a cabinet, you would not hear all that noise, besides, todays units run at a higher speed. What a bunch of silly excuses. The guy left saying, It is what it is. I say, Samsung has a problem. The noise is not to be tolerated. At this point I am going to see if I can trade this thing out for something else. Noise=loss of energy. I would love to put an amp meter on this for a period of time and see what energy levels this thing is really consuming. After this review, I am going to upload a video of this rickety mess on YouTube, write a bunch of friend and see if it will go viral. Back in August of 2015, all I wanted was a refrigerator that does not dominate my space, it is that bad, it is very annoying, unnecessarily so. Other than that, it is a nice unit and everything else works just fine. In fact, sometimes, but not always, it does run quietly. It is capable of running quietly, they just have a problem with it being noisy most of the time.

Samsung 3 door model RFG298AARS 29 cubic feet advertised capacity - Purchased Feb 2, 2010. Works fine even the ice makers one on top and one in freezer drawer. Last year after 4 years the plastic on the door shelves, track, and mounting frame for the drawers began to crack and break. So far I have replaced 2 door shelves, the flip up section of the meat drawer, the frame with the glass top for the drawers and the frame bracket due to cracking and breaking to the extent that is not functional. These replacement parts have cost almost $300 so far. The 29 cubic foot capacity is measured wall to wall and does not take into account that the shelves do not go to the walls on sides or back greatly reducing the capacity of the refrigerator. I also find it difficult to clean with all the nooks and crannies. Spills work into the frame of every drawer or shelf and cannot be cleaned because that part does not come apart. I expect a refrigerator of this caliber to last nearly a lifetime. That does not appear to be the case here.

I am really scared with the previous reviews. I bought from Sears a Samsung microwave model SMH187S. Then we got the SE message and the constant sequences of 5 annoying beeps. I took the power off even for days hoping the computer will reset... negative. I went to internet where some people claimed cleaning the terminals will do it… negative. This is absurd, a microwave less than 3 years. I have to bring back from my garage a Whirlpool microwave, a very basic and inexpensive model that I have used for more than 10 years and it works well. I am upset with myself letting the Sears salesman convince me that Samsung was the best choice. Where is the government? Where is the customer protection of other times? Where is the respect? It should be an official recall. I will start talking to Samsung and if they ignore me, I will start a movement for a class action against Samsung. The biggest class actions always have started with one person. Arrogant companies that believed were invincible like Blockbuster, Pan Am, Motorola, AOL, Sears went down or are just going out of business. Samsung… beware.

Samsung Refrigerator Model RB215LASH - Samsung is a disgrace. I have sworn off any product made by Samsung as a result of my experience with this refrigerator. This refrigerator began giving me trouble at ten months. I went out of town to work and when I came home it wasnt working at all. Neither Lowes nor Samsung was concerned about the fact that they are selling a piece of junk. I contacted Samsungs recommended repair company and during the visit, I was advised that no one wants to work on them because they continue to fail even after repairs are made.A faulty refrigerator is a health and safety issue and has the potential to kill. The digital thermometer displays the temperature incorrectly. Perishable food items stored above 40 degrees for more than two hours can grow deadly bacteria. Samsung, you should be ashamed. Unfortunately, today it is all about the dollar, and honor and integrity have no place in the corporate equation. Im not sure why, but I did expect more from Lowes. Next step for me will be a catchy little video on YouTube where I use my Samsung refrigerator as an anchor, pushing it off of a boat with a big blue ribbon tied around it. (Dont worry, Ill make sure not to harm the environment in the process and to hoist it back up and dispose of it properly after the filming.)

I purchased this product (Side by Side Show Case Refrigerator) in December thinking I was getting a good reliable product. Needless to say I had a problem with frost building up in the freezer in a so call frost free refrigerator. Samsung would continue to state that it was normal that seems to be their line they use so they do not have to replace. I had the problem right away. If they send someone out three times for the same thing policy is that they need to replace if cant repair. So if they cant replace it they will tell you its normal so they wont have to replace. I had another problem with the ice maker crushing the ice in cube mode. Of course I was told that this is normal too. I was able to get it replaced by Home Depot after having numerous contacts and pictures and technicians coming out. I was hoping that was going to be the last of my nightmare but that is not the case. The new replacement 2/23/2016 does the same thing. They replaced the hinges cause the door make a grinding noise. I was told to give it 3 weeks to settle. So far it still is making the same noise. Now with the frost in the freezer and the ice crunching ice in cube setting and now there is moisture building inside the containers in the fridge. Now from the reviews and my experience its going to be a unpleasant battle with Samsung not standing by their product. I would think twice about purchasing this product because if you have any problems you more then likely would have to deal with it. If Samsung know that these are known issues they should make it known to the consumers and if not then stand by their products.

Microwave is literally 16 days old and it smokes and sparks! So today we started the process of returning this microwave that is a fire hazard. The call process is ridiculous! The first representative who we called said, “Sure return the microwave” and told us to go to the website. Well that wasnt correct as nothing was there so called back second person said we cant return it transferred us to another dept. as the order # isnt there and cant find us. They hung up during the transfer, go figure...call back and they said, “Will give you a person to contact so you can have it looked at, a shop person technician”...Sooo we called the technician office, they said we’re not in the system 18 mins later and they will start a warranty claim. Whatever that means. Here we sit waiting for the technician office to call to set up an appt. We literally just bought this junk and received it on the 16th of August 2018. Weve been in another state for a funeral so we missed the cutoff, go figure. This $200 piece of junk sparks and smokes when you use it. We will now have to drive this junk to a shop to have it looked at because they refuse to return it after 15 days. And I refuse to have this crap plugged into my house to blow up. Then we will hope that the person there doesnt blow up and is component enough to fix it. So bottom line you will need to set a day off to call many departments waiting for someone to call you back but they will refuse to return your product after 15 days even though its defected. Note: there is a place you can call if the item is defected. They will return it for money back at 30 days but only if it was damaged in transit. Dont do what we did. Stay away far away!

I cant believe a cheap refrigerator can last longer than a Samsung refrigerator (it cost me $2,400). I called the service center and they told me that the warranty was only for 5 years. I will never buy Samsung products.

We bought a Samsung Refrigerator, model RF260BEAESR, under 5 years ago. Its cooling system completely failed one night ruining the entire contents of the fridge and freezer. We are a family of 5 so it wasnt half full either. Since then there have been 3 repair attempts with each resulting in more part failures and more parts ordered. It produces a horrendous chemical/oil stench when plugged in and I cant imagine thats ok to breathe for my three children. Its been a month with no fridge and enough is enough. Just replace the thing already, admit it was a terrible product and lets move on.DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS. All repair persons have said same thing, terribly made, they do not last, and they are a pain to deal with. Save yourself the headache and go with a different brand. Hopefully Lowes will honor their warranty and replace the lemon already and do the right thing. Thats why we bought the warranty and why they are offered, right????
