We bought a Samsung dishwasher model DMR78 in October 2010. We selected a Samsung model that was fairly expensive thinking that it would be more reliable and would last longer than conventional models. That was a mistake. After about 2 years it started to make a grinding noise. Since Samsung had no local service center we had to call an independent repair company. The diagnostic was that all the plastic brackets supporting the dishes trays were broken and little loose parts blocked the drain pump. We had to replace the pump. The repair cost was 258$. A year after we had again a grinding noise and we had to call for service again. This time the problem could not be located as it just suddenly disappear after being checked by the service men.About 6 months after we started having error codes #9E. This indicate a clogged level switch that I was able to fix myself by using instructions found on Youtube. It still means that I have to pull out the dishwasher and open it to fix it. This repair takes about 2 hours. That code started showing up again after 6 months and we are seriously thinking to replace the dishwasher after less than 5 years of usage! I would definitely not recommend buying a Samsung dishwasher.

5-yr-old fridge a total loss - NEVER buying SAMSUNG fridge again! Lasted 5 years. Stopped cooling completely. Independent appliance repair pro told me that these products are terrible. To fix, would have to either replace a $400 motherboard, or an $800 compressor. Fridge was around 1200 new. Samsung customer service of no help past 1 year warranty. Absolute garbage. Samsung fridges SUCK!

Returned home after 3 hour absence to find my 3 year old Samsung microwave baking a non existent potato. The menu was flashing baking potato. I have no idea how long it was on and turning it off & on twice did not help. I ended up shutting down the fuse on the circuit board. Repairs totaled $175. Totally unacceptable. I am elderly and live alone so no question of excessive use. I wish I had seen this review forum first and I would not have repaired it at all. Very unhappy...

The refrigerator crispers have water in them after a defrost cycle. I was told by the factory that it is just out of warranty. I researched the same problem other people had so I could try to fix the problem. I removed the back cover and installed a short wire into the drain and wrapped it around the defrost heater because the drain line is icing up but a month or so later the same problem is happening again. Samsung refrigerators are junk and there should be a recall because this is a factory defect.

Had refrigerator/french door rfg297. etc. for 3 years. Replaced water filter on scheduled time. Now they have replaced the water filter on my model with a different type. This (same code does not fit) I have went to numerous stores and the internet suppliers as well as HHGregg where I purchased this unit (and 3 other units also). I have contacted Samsung business line 800 726 7864. They said that they have not replaced the above mentioned filter. Somebody is lying to me. The new filter not only does not fit, but looks different. I have talked to Samsung direct and HHgregg. They have confirmed what I thought. Its my problem.

I bought a Samsung Over-The-Range Microwave from Lowes in February 2010. I just found out I need the keypad replaced. The warranty ran out in February. I called Samsung and they said there is nothing they can do because the warranty has expired. They have already been out once while the microwave was still under warranty. The cost of the repair is about $260. I tried to explain to them that even though the microwave is no longer under warranty, I would think a $400 microwave would last longer than 18 months. She said I am eligible for a new one if they have to fix the same issue twice within a year. That doesnt really matter to me since I would have to pay to have it fixed twice. She didnt understand this concept and could not get past the fact that the warranty had expired. Now I have 2 options: get it fixed or buy a new one. I would just like for a company for once to stand behind their product. I dont think an 18 month life expectancy is what they had in mind. Especially since the last cheap microwave I had lasted 15 years without incident.

I purchased a black stainless steel appliance package and its been a nightmare. Initially the stove was scratched during installation, so they sent me a new one. The new one sounded like it was about blow up and clicked and clicked. The lady said it was because its cold in Colorado?! They swapped it out. Then there is the refrigerator. With the first one, the right door wouldnt stay open, so they sent out someone to fix it. After he fixed it, the right door stayed opened, but the left one didnt. They claimed thats how they are supposed to work for efficiency. No, thats simply not true. They sent a new one. This one had a terrible buzzing and humming sound every time it turned on. They sent me another one. This one was even worse, but the good news is that the doors stayed opened. Clearly how they should work. So, I let them know about the loud sound and they sent me another one. Its the worst one of the three. Im at a loss. Does Samsung just make a terrible product? The dishwasher doesnt clean the dishes. I always rinse them and make sure there isnt much of anything on them. And it stinks!! I keep the door open, which is annoying. Very very disappointed in the products. This has been going on since I purchased them less than 6 months ago. I have spent hours upon hours trying to talk to someone, emailing, and waiting for my 8 different appointments. I do not recommend their appliances at all. They look good, but not worth the money.

We purchased the oven in 2016 with a convection feature which we initially really liked & used the convection part almost exclusively. In 2019 I saw a flash of light which I thought was flames coming from the back of the stove. I immediately turned the Oven off & the flames disappeared. Since then we had 3 issues where the convection oven got much hotter than the temperature display indicated & burned the food. We had a repairman come out who determined that the oven temperature was 27 degrees hotter than what the temperature indicator showed. He adjusted the range to lower the temperature 27 degrees to match the range indicator. All of these incidents happened with the convection feature. We stopped using it & only used the regular baking feature. Four days later, my sister was baking a meatloaf at 350 degrees. 15 minutes before it should have been done, it looked like it was already done & before she could take it out of the oven a loud explosion occurred shattering the glass baking dish into pieces. Needless to say, we do not trust this range and will never buy another Samsung appliance!

At what point does a company read these and take action? Purchased Family Hub French Door 2.5 months ago. Freezer failed, lost everything, missed 4 half days of work dealing with 3rd party service companies who didnt know what was wrong or how to fix it. 14 calls with Samsung service department. 12 emails, in the meantime ice machine failed and now the upper fridge area failing. At $2,499 youd think they would care/value the experience and take action, but were on day 38 and still waiting for a remedy. I stood at Home Depot and personally persuaded 7 customers not to buy this fridge and they listened. Your ** product and service cost me lost wages and time during failed service calls so I figured Im only halfway to the break even point of costing you fridge sales. And I realize nobody in your service department gets paid enough to care, but hopefully someone in your product management and marketing team care enough to read reviews.

We spent $3000 on this model fridge in 2016. By all accounts based on what Ive read about this issue, Samsung has known about the ice maker issue this model has since 2015 and did nothing to stop the sale of the fridges. The first time it happened, it being that the ice maker frosting over and water leaking out from the ice maker opening, it was two years after purchase and out of warranty, so we called a local technician. He charged us $370 to fix the issue. He said it was a very common issue with Samsung fridges and it had been going on for years. Two months after he left of course the issue came right back. Samsung is now changing its tune and is stating that they will pay for the ice maker itself and help us find a technician to come out and replace the ice maker. It will cost us another $250 to have the ice maker replaced and there is no guarantee that the new ice maker is any different than the one its replacing. My sister-in-law has the same fridge and has the same issue. My good friend has had other Samsung appliances lately and they have been terrible in terms of reliability. I am telling everyone I know to never buy a Samsung product again.

After several missed phones call I finally received a notification via email that Samsung would extend a one time repair accommodation. The repair man was a tad testy with me for not having my refrigerator plugged in so that he could get the code off of the computer. Excuse me it hasnt been working for almost a month now. Im not going to leave it plugged in. Eventually, he managed to troubleshoot the problem. He wanted to change the evaporator fans but I wouldnt agree to that since my husband had already tested those and they were working properly. Im knocking on wood and hoping for the best the fridge is working now with no problems. I can only hope I get a very least another 3 years out of it. Im and saving my money now for its replacement. I have been in touch with Samsung regarding my microwave since August 3, 20
I have been in touch with Samsung regarding my microwave since August 3, 2017. At first, they were going to send out a tech to look at it since it completely just stopped working. My microwave is less than a year old and under warranty. After three days without a call from a tech to schedule an appointment to come fix it I called Samsung back. I explained that no one has come by or called about fixing my microwave. The customer service rep said they would contact the company about coming out to repair it. I also asked for the companys number. After still not hearing from them I called the company myself. No one answered so I left a message. After another few days with no call back I called Samsung again and reported the issue. Next, the rep put me on hold and tried to contact the company with no success. That rep said they would keep trying and call me back. Finally, after more than 2 weeks without a working microwave a Samsung rep called stating that they did not have anyone that could repair it and would issue a refund. But of course, there is a catch! I had to supply a receipt that I no longer and had paid cash for the microwave so no bank record. Once I explained this they said they could still issue a refund but it would take 10 days of review and then they would send out an email to start the process for getting a refund. I am not a criminal nor am I trying to scam them. I would much rather have my microwave fixed than purchase another one. But that does not seem to be an option. I cannot understand why it would take 10 days for review. Also, the refund is going to be $37 less than what we paid. We have had other Samsung products that we have had to replace or repair. We replaced our dishwasher and our refrigerator need to be replaced. It has several issues. We will not be purchasing anymore Samsung products or recommending them! We finally just went ahead and purchased another microwave and have the Samsung sitting around waiting for the email about getting a refund. Samsung requires you to take a picture of it with the cord cut and the serial number. I get this procedure but I should not have to wait 10 days for an email in order to send this information in. It seems like a stall tactic to me. I am a service business owner and would never have a customer wait over a month for results!

We purchased a Samsung elec. range (FTQ353IWUX) in 2009/2010 from Best Buy with an extended warranty. Within the first year, the oven would initially come up to temp. but not hold that temp. and actually begin to fall off. Best Buy had a Geek Squad rep come out. He changed $400 in parts without fixing the problem. When, at my recommendation, he finally began to do some troubleshooting, we found that one of the wires to the baking element had burned off. He cut back the wire and installed a new terminal lug. As of this week, the same old problem surfaced. Being that the unit is now out of warranty, and me being a retired industrial electrician, I shut off the supply power and opened up the back of the range. I found that not only had the same wire burned off its terminal lug but additionally, the two power wires that feed the broiler element had burned up as well.I called Samsung today. I was told that since it is out of warranty, it is basically my problem even though this very same issue occurred while it was under warranty. They offered to have a service co. come out and look at the unit, at my cost. Right. Thank you so much Samsung, for nothing. I explained to the Samsung rep that with these wires being burned up, there were only a limited number of possibilities as to the cause including undersized wiring, undersized terminal lugs, and/or poor crimp connections. Her response was only that it was out of warranty. I expressed my concern that this was a safety issue but that too seemed to fall on deaf ears. Wow. This company really sucks!!

I purchased a Samsung gas stove in September 2020. In January of 2021 my wife and I noticed that the paint and clear coat was chipping off of the stove. I called Samsung to let them know about the problem and after a week and a half of playing phone tag a representative of the company informed me that the chipping paint is NOT covered under the warranty. Now we purchased the extended warranty and still had PLENTY of warranty left but in order for Samsung to fix the paint chipping we would have to PAY for the work. I purchased my Samsung dishwasher in 2014 from Conns. It was the one with the bar that moves forwards and backwards. The first one started showing an error within 2 days. Samsung sent someone out to look at it and he couldnt repair it. Samsung replaced it with another dishwasher. This one lasted six months before I had my first error issue. It had to do with the pump. The repair guy fixed it and it ran for another six months then had the same error. The repair guy fixed it. Now I have a new error 7E and my repair guy is concerned. The bar has no blockage and the error is still there so now he is having to replace the motor and such. I wish I had known that these dishwashers were so crappy. I wasnt warned by my salesperson, he was just wanting to make a sale. Next time, which I feel will be sooner rather than later I am going to get a different brand. Buyer, beware and do research! Ive had the refrigerator (RF260BEAESR French door) about 4 years and it works ok. I like the size and especially like the bottom freezer. My complaint is with the finish which is supposed to be stainless steel. I have cleaned it as instructed, taken good care of it. No kids or any influences which would damage the finish. No matter how well we cared for it - it still has spots and streaks and I can see where the finish is worn off so it is spotty and discolored in areas. Its a cheap finish, and if it was really stainless steel it wouldnt stain - but it does. Not happy about that! Samsung used to be a good products but not anymore. I have had cell phones which are Samsung last longer than this refrigerator. So off I went to Lowes, bought just the plain Jane side by side for 856 by Frigidaire. Certainly will NEVER BUY Samsung again... I hope you take my advice and steer clear of Samsung refrigerators.

OMG! There are painful customer service stories on Samsung’s own refrigerator site that are soul jarring. Samsung’s refrigerators don’t work: **. Samsung’s behavior is clearly a corporate recognition of a refrigerator failure problem and use of a purposefully painful customer service experience to suppress or even eliminate revenue loss from fixing their problems. They can build a TV, but boy the Samsung refrigerator division... no other way to say it... sucks. Remarkable that they go adversarial with people who bought their product. These people bought their product, they supported revenue for the company. They are not the bad guys and are not deserving the persecution articulated in these postings. We purchased our remodeled condo in St Pete recently and just this week discovered that our impressive looking 3 or 4 year old Samsnot (nickname I heard in conversations about this brand) refrigerator (RF24FSEDBSR/AA) is unable to prevent foods from spoiling or doing exactly what everyone on the Samsung site is complaining about, not staying cold.In addition to the cooling system failure in only 4 years, we found the Samsnot fridge to be poorly designed vis a vis: The doors dont close! Often, very often, we look over and see that the door we had swung closed and walked away from is open slightly. There is a short lived, tiny audio alarm to alert you, but you can barely hear it. If it was loud enough, the frequency of door open alarms would qualify as Abu Gahrib sound torture. They cant build a refrigerator that has dependably closing doors? I’m 72 and never had a fridge that didn’t allow its doors to close. As Jackie Mason would say... Refrigerators are not their line of work. The stainless finish is also a challenge to keep righteous. It always smears and you need to be wiping that stainless steel spray stuff on... All the time... to keep it moderately presentable. They actually engineered a high maintenance finish. And the ice maker! What a piece of annoying scree that contraption is. It has legions of people complaining about it. After reading the online complaints, we turn ours off just to make life easier. First it jams so that to remove it from inside the refrigerator, you need Dwayne Johnson to show up and then yank it free of its receptacle. Why remove the ice maker? Once Dwayne has pulled the rudimentary ice making device out for you, it is then necessary to go in and clean out the built up ice-frost in the ice maker compartment... you know... defrost it.We bought our condo with this piece of Samsnot junk already installed, so we are shaping our posture on this Samsnot mechanical travesty to be that we really didnt pay for it and that we can kind of justify going out and buying a new fridge. Given what is written on the Samsung refrig site, we dont even want to allow Sams the opportunity to defile us with their malevolent customer service. We are the second owners and well out of the 1 year warranty but still within the 5 year warranty for the cooling system, nevertheless we see that did not do any of the people on the site much good. Fridges were effortlessly built to last 15 to 25 years in the 60s. How can these Samsung people, from a culture oriented to excellence (think Honda/Toyota/Panasonic/Subaru/Sony), be so unskilled and then so combative when asked to make things right?I feel compelled to educate unsuspecting people to the reported hazards of this brand’s refrigerator failure plus my own experience with my under 5 year failure. My efforts will never impact their overall business, but given the bevy of refrigerator makers competing for the consumers refrigerator dollar any friction to their business will offer some measure of gratification. Samsung’s own site with lots of complaints, if you missed it before: **.

Samsung, of course, will not cover it since it is out of warranty. They are aware of the problem but dont care at all. It will cost me over $150 to get a repairman out to service it. Ridiculous! I purchased your Samsung refrigerator model no: RSG257AARS/XAA, back in Dec
I purchased your Samsung refrigerator model no: RSG257AARS/XAA, back in Dec. 2013 when I bought my first home. While I am not customarily someone who uses ice in my drinks, there are certain beverages wherein I do use ice, such as with a soda or a cocktail. But for water and or juices, I do not require ice and as I rarely drink a soda or have a cocktail, I cant say the ice maker on my unit has had much use considering I am a one person household. This little to no use of the ice maker is potentially why this problem with the ice maker/dispenser did not appear until July 2014. I first noticed this problem when I discovered a large white shaving of plastic floating in a glass of Coca Cola. It was the size of a coconut shaving and so I removed this remnant and secured it into a plastic zip lock bag. Obviously, I disposed of the drink.I then examined the ice maker machine and mechanism, removed the ice bucket etc. and discovered there were dozens upon dozens of plastic shavings sitting in the cavity of freezer below the ice bucket. Upon further examination I discovered areas on the left and right sides of the plastic housing wherein it was obvious the rotary blades (auger couplers) had literally shredded into the plastic housing and it was quite clear from the magnitude of the scratches, shavings and debris that this was a serious problem.I first received service to repair this problem in July 2014. However, the repair took nearly 4 weeks to conclude, two home visits, shipment of parts, and I had no ice available to me in that time. Moreover, I greatly needed ice to medically treat an injury. Thus, the repair was more than an inconvenience. While the repair included some new parts and a new ice bucket, after the repair, I was hesitant and nervous to use the ice cubes for drinking and would look in each glass of ice. Then just a few days ago (20 Oct 2014), I found a SHARP solid chunk of white plastic floating in my Coca Cola. Again, I removed it and secure it in a zip lock bag for evidence. Upon examination of the unit, I now find that the plastic housing under the ice bucket is again being impacted and hit, only this time the scratches and scrapings are now at the front of the housing rather than on the sides. To make matters worse, on the evening of Oct 21st, I observed small white tiny powder like particles, sitting on the outside stainless steel dispenser tray, which indicates I have been ingesting and drinking micro particles of plastic. I have obtained a small sample of this particle by pressing my finger down onto it and then scraping this fine particle off my finger into a zip lock bag, but it is so small and fine that one could literally not pick it up any other way. It would be like trying to collect a single grain or flake of salt.As of late, I have been enjoying one soda a day, in place of eating a desert, and have been having more iced drinks than usual. Again, this draws me to the conclusion that if only this ice maker and dispenser had had normal American household use, this problem would have most likely occurred immediately. At this stage, my main concern is my HEALTH and how my body has been affected by ingesting micro fine particles of plastic used to make an appliance. To be honest, I am more than upset by the gravity of the situation and I find your customer service to be sub-par. In my opinion, this unit is DEFECTIVE IN DESIGN. Any refrigerator that starts dispensing plastic for a HUMAN TO EAT AND INGEST SHOULD BE DEALT WITH IN AN APPROPRIATE MANNER, and does not even fall within the scope of an ordinary repair.I can no longer trust this appliance to provide me ice! In addition, I will never again use it for drinking ice. NO WAY! NEVER! No matter how you repair it or pretend you did, it is obvious that the METAL BLADES are able to make contact with all edges of the plastic housing and therefore will ALWAYS HAVE THE POTENTIAL to feed me plastic.Next time I see my doctor I will consult with him on this matter. In the meantime, feel free to send me the chemical composition with which this plastic material is made of and I will give that to my doctor. Alternatively, we can send samples to a lab and then I will bill and or sue Samsung. I am outraged at this situation! Period! The fact that you are again going to send me a service repairperson who has NO experience with this SPECIFIC problem is ridiculous. Moreover, two Samsung service repair technicians told me they had never heard of this problem. So all you are doing is putting a Band-Aid on this situation, waiting for the manufacturer warranty to run out so that you will not have to contend with it. So yes, I am outraged. I will never again buy Samsung. In closing, I am attaching photos from last July showing evidence of the plastic shavings and impact to the housing. The current plastic particles are to small to photograph and while this is the same problem, the particles in fact are completely different now in shape and size. In fact the smaller particles and this current situation is way worse because I cannot VISIBLY see the micro-particles in a drink, making this a blatant health hazard. Please review the photos carefully! I would like this case to be escalated and dealt with by your upper management.

Samsung Dishwasher dw7933lrasr/aa - We purchased this dishwasher in June 2013. It never worked properly from the time of purchase. There was always food on the dishes after washing and many of the items would have to be washed two or three times. We tried almost every detergent on the market all to no avail. Just recently October 2014 it stopped working all together. There is no water pumping up into unit, of course it is now out of warranty. I dont want to get this unit fixed since at its best it never worked very well. I would recommend that you avoid this companys dishwashers. This is in direct conflict with other products Ive purchased from them that work very well, most notably several large screen televisions.

The unit gave an error code - bad pump, and never actually worked. Samsung customer support is the most rude, terrible support ever and there is no warranty based on install date, just on purchase date. Appliance repair said the parts cost for the pump is $350 and Im better off throwing this unit away and buying a different brand. Have the same unit in a rental and it works but really doesnt clean well at all. Dont buy Samsung appliances.

I bought a Refrigerator from Bismi, a leading dealer in Kochi for Samsung Products on Feb 20 2014. Attached the bill copy. Unfortunately, the product stops working just after the warranty period over. I contacted customer care, they took the fridge to their service center. After that, there is no information regarding the product. I had contacted the guy who took the fridge several time but I did not get any updates. So I used the chat facility and report the problem, after that I got a call from the CC and said that it is the problem with the freezer component and will take another 7 days to get the part. After raising the same complaint through this email portal, I got a call from the Samsung Head office and the person assures me that technical difficulty of availing the part for replacement and he told me he will update the status eventually and resolve as early as possible. Also he assures a standby refrigerator if he failed to deliver the product before 1st May 2015. But still after the call I did not get any information or updates from Samsung side. It is difficult to manage city life without refrigerator. Moreover I had a 18 month old kid and no one is in my home to get the daily eatables from the market as we are working daily for more than 10 hours. Please let me know whether I had to go for a new one or how long I had to wait for the product to get back. This is the letter I had sent to Samsung authorities, CEO, etc but no use. Today I got back my Fridge with a bill of Rs 3800/- INR.

I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator (RF25HME) back in December 2017, and on October 3, 2019 the ice maker stopped working. Did my research and found out that many consumers are complaining about the same issue. For an undetermined reason, the ice maker fills with frost, which turns into blocks of ice, not allowing the ice to be made, and locks up the auger.Spent part of my weekend defrosting the ice maker. I have not had to defrost a freezer or refrigerator since I was a child (50 years ago). I have had other refrigerators with ice makers (Amana, GE) and never had this issue. I will be contacting Samsung, but based on what I have seen on the internet, I dont believe they will be interested in fixing it. (out of warranty) Stay away from Samsung refrigerator!!

No working fridge for 4 months and counting. I purchased the Samsung 22.3 Cu Ft counter deep Side-by-side refrigerator with thru the door ice and water - stainless steel. Model RS22HDHPNSR on March 21st, 2015. This fridge was to be the center piece of my kitchen renovation. It was my one big shiny splurge, costing me $2100. My fridge worked fine from March 2015 until November 2016, when it stopped compressing cold air. Since the parts were still under warranty Samsung agreed to have technicians from A&E electrical come to my home in Northern California SIX times over a period of FOUR months to replace the compressor, a 4-way valve and a motherboard. They have also reduced the pressure on something and then the next time increased the pressure on that same part. According to my calculations Samsung has paid over $1400 to fix my fridge, which is inefficient for this company and extremely frustrating and time-consuming for me. Each time a technician comes to my home they try to fix it and they cant. When a technician does come to my home it is not trivial. I have to take time away from work and wait for them to arrive over a 4 hour period (9 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to 5 pm). There have been two occasions when the technician had to reschedule because he had overbooked his schedule and one occasion when the technician just didnt turn up and didnt even call to reschedule. When the technician does actually turn up and has attempted to fix my fridge and failed, I immediately call Samsung and then have to explain my situation all over again. I then have to wait for another 2-3 weeks before a technician can come out again. And then the same thing happens all over again! Im at the point now where I have had the fridge finally deemed as unrepairable by a technician and have sent in my proof of purchase and the technicians report to executive customer services by email. Ive also threatened to take legal action if I am not compensated immediately because 4 months without a fridge and two young boys is physically and mentally quite miserable. For me $2100 is just too much money to throw away so I have no choice but to keep fighting this corrupt company. I am very disappointed that Samsung customer service have threaded me along for so long.

I purchased a 4 door Samsung refrigerator 18 months ago 01-21-17. The icemaker is defective, per the technician that indicates this is a known issue and not a recall, but basically the water spatters as it fills the ice maker, causing frost to build up, and eventually freezing the fan. This leads to melting of the ice and re-freezing and more frost and eventually locks up the entire ice maker. In some cases the ice builds up so quickly that you cant get the ice drawer out. This is not a gasket or seal issue. The issue is caused by a poorly designed water filling process that eventually fails, so if you want to piss away $2800 buy this RF23J9011SR piece of junk.

My gas range was purchased at a local hardware store and installed just 4 months ago. No extended warranty purchased so I had to deal directly with Samsung. It has been 3 weeks since the gas company shut off my gas & determined the range was leaking 10 times the allowable limit of carbon monoxide. After 3 weeks of deliberations, Samsung is reimbursing me for the purchase price of the range rather than replacing it. The range was purchased during an exceptional sale, therefore I’m unable to replace for the same price. Not to mention, gas hookup for the new stove as well as cost of technicians, all of this under their 1 year warranty. Poor customer service.

We have had our refrigerator for only a couple of years. First the ice maker broke. Then it started making this loud noise that would stop when we opened the door. We had a technician come out and fix these problems. This was only a few months ago. Recently, I had noticed our milk didnt seem that cold even though the temp read 38 degrees. The problem started getting worse so we reset the fridge by unplugging it. This made the temp gauge work again and the true temperature was 66 degrees! After having already spent over $300 to repair this new refrigerator, I am reluctant to spend more to get this new problem fixed, especially after reading these complaints.

We had our Samsung fridge for 3 years in July and the compressor decided to fail, with the warranty expiring after 2 years. However, Samsung organized a repair agent to attend at a cost of $130 for an onsite visit to tell me it was the compressor and that it would be covered under warranty as the compressor has a 5-year warranty on it. That was great so they organized an agent to attend again (Samsung Plaza) to pick up the fridge, so I waited all day and they never showed up. Then the following week, they finally picked it up. After a week of them repairing the fridge, they delivered it back. They delivered it in the pouring rain, it was windy and they were in a rush. In such a rush, the truck door smashed the side of my fridge. As they brought it into my house, they scratched and dented my door on my house. They broke the wheel underneath the fridge and pushed it along my floor boards. They have now made a mess of my floors by denting the floor boards from my door all the way to where the fridge is located. When they left, I went to shut the door and noticed pieces of the fridge on the floor and as I looked down, I noticed the door on my house was damaged and the massive dents in my floor. I then contacted them straight away to tell them because by this stage, the delivery guys had driven off. I had a 3-month-old baby in my hand at the time. Thats why I hadnt followed them out. When I reported it, they were great and shocked about what had happened and were making a case of it.After many, many calls since 9th August 2012, they finally decided to approve they would repair the damage. I have spent time getting quotes for the door and my floor to be fixed and forward them on. I then had the owner of Samsung Plaza come out to view the damage and she advised she would send me a check for the door to be repaired but had someone she knew who would fix my floor. Since then I have again made many, many calls and emails and really havent got anywhere. I was advised a repair guy would come 31 October and had a call in the morning to cancel. I then told her that I had the painter coming out to repair the door and needed the check for payment and she advised she would send it in the mail. This has never been seen. I have contacted her chasing the check and the repair guy and always am told, Ill call you back. I have been pretty patient and its wearing very thin now after almost months of this. I need help on getting to the bottom of this. In the meantime, I have another Samsung agent attend to pick up and repair the broken wheel on my fridge.

My side-by-side Samsung refrigerator, model RS265TDRS, was purchased in Dec
My side-by-side Samsung refrigerator, model RS265TDRS, was purchased in December 2010, so its about 3.5 years old. Very expensive unit. It started making noise sounding like a generator - so loud, I was afraid something was breaking in there. When I opened the refrigerator door it would stop, then start again when the door was closed. We moved the food into another refrigerator and freezer, unplugged this unit, and made arrangements with Samsung for a service call. (That itself was an adventure: Samsung rep never responded to email; the phone number in the refrigerator manual was for mobile phone service; the online form for a service request didnt work under several browsers. Finally used live chat and had the chat rep fill out the service request for me.)Two weeks later, I plugged in the unit in preparation for the service techs visit. No noise. The service tech called me to confirm the appointment, then suggested we cancel the service call, because (a) with no noise, he cant really diagnose a problem; (b) chances are it was just ice build-up and may never happen again; (c) removing the panel to get at the fan means removing all tech, because everything is attached to the panel, and that means replacing the panel because you cant just put it back on after its been taken off; and (d) something like his labor and the panel wouldnt be covered by warranty anyway after 3.5 years. These are expensive refrigerators. I like lots of things about it, but I think its ridiculous that I should have to unplug my refrigerator every now and then to make sure ice doesnt build up, and its ridiculous that this problem wouldnt be covered under a warranty. For anyone who has the same fan-sounds-like-a-generator problem, unplug it for a while and save yourself the hassle of getting in touch with Samsung. Im really hoping this solves the problem.

They will charge you $200 just to come out diagnose the issue, when I could by a new range for twice that, as that did not include parts depending on what is needed or labor. Not a FAN, would say Stay away from Their Appliances altogether. They are still figuring it out and not very helpful. Samsung has sent people here FOUR TIMES and the issue persists. After HOURS of phone calls/complaints/pleads with them to get people out to fix it, they kept saying we are now out of warranty, even though the issue has never been fixed since day one.... Finally, they sent out a tech who said it can not be fixed but I am now in limbo waiting for a replacement or buy back... They are trying to wear me down but they have picked the wrong person as I will move hell and high water for justice... We were so happy when we bought our first new fridge, and it didnt last a year and all the time and days off of work for technicians to come out and it STILL isnt fixed. Nobody has time to deal with this every few months and no one has an extra 2,000 to buy a new fridge a year after buying the 1st one. There has to be lemon laws about this and I am shocked to see how many people have the same experience. I found a class action suit everyone should look into. Even if your model is not listed, sign up... If it falls through, we should start a new one because there are too many similar stories here of people getting ripped off by Samsung! We purchased our Samsung refrigerator 4 years ago as new homeowners. Towards the beginning of July this year, we started having issues with the freezer not keeping things frozen - ice cream melting, meat thawing, etc. After trying the recommendations in the manual and unplugging it to reset it per Samsung, it seemed like our problem was fixed... for about a week. So I called Samsung again. On July 21, a technician from one of their service centers, MidAmerica, came out and discovered our sealed refrigeration system was leaking (evaporator & compressor - attached is a picture of the evaporator; all the coils are supposed to be covered in ice and only the top one of ours is due to the loss of coolant)... he also informed us that the sealed refrigeration system was still under warranty (5 year warranty stated in manual). However, he couldnt fix it because he supposedly just moved to our state and didnt have the insurance/licensure to carry the parts... a little fishy, but he said we should be able to call Samsung and they will find a trained technician to fix it. Turns out - Samsung has no trained technicians for sealed refrigeration systems in our area, so they told us to find our own and they will reimburse us but only if the technician we found diagnosed the same problem... okay? So we call Mr. Appliance and they were fantastic! They came out on 7/30. They diagnosed the SAME problem but stated it would be over $2000 to fix it. They also informed us it was probably only a matter of time until our fresh food side stopped keeping things cool too. We were shocked. The refrigerator did not even cost that much to begin with and we also dont have $2000 lying around. So I contact Samsung again, spoke with a girl named Brady. I offered to email her the quote as well as our proof of purchase to show that it seemed ridiculous that we were going to repair a refrigerator under a manufacturers warranty for more than it was worth when we bought it. She put me on hold for a brief moment and came back to say we just needed to pay it and Samsung would reimburse us (mind you, there has never been anything in writing stating they would reimburse us... theyre expecting us to just go on their word). Refused to let me email the quote to them and also refused to let me speak to a supervisor about the issue. She stated a supervisor would email me... which never happened. In the meantime, we called Mr. Appliance about ordering the parts and they stated it would probably take over a month to get the compressor from Samsung... so my fiance calls Samsung to inform them of this. In our minds, it should not take a month (possibly longer) to get a warranty issue fixed! Asks to speak to a supervisor, on the phone for over an hour and talks to three separate people who are not supervisors and just keep saying its their policy to have us pay this exorbitant amount of money and expect them to reimburse us. We suggested that they just replace the refrigerator - they keep indirectly saying they will find a way to get the issue resolved. They say a supervisor will call us back in 24-48 hours... we wait 3 business days and havent heard anything, so I call them on 8/6. I spoke with Michael, who was very nice and genuinely seemed shocked that it was taking this long to get this fixed. He actually wanted me to email him the receipts and proof of purchase unlike Brady and stated they would be calling Mr. Appliance since they were the only people who said they could truly fix it. We were relieved. This was short-lived however because the next day they assign our ticket to MidAmerica AGAIN and some other local company (J&D) who had already told us they dont have someone trained in sealed refrigeration systems. By this time, I am irate. I call again and tell them to refer to the images of the receipts I sent, associated with the ticket number from my phone call on 8/6 with Michael. Gregory tells me there are no images with that ticket number. I felt like I was going crazy! These people are ridiculous. They are like robots every time you call - there is no history of ongoing issues, they close ticket numbers before the problem is resolved and just open a new one every time. They give you the run-around and obviously no one truly cares about resolving your problem. I submitted the images again and am still waiting on another phone call. If this product wasnt still under a manufacturers warranty, I wouldve been done weeks ago. It has affected our quality of life from the stress and time weve put into this and weve spent more money than anticipated on going out to eat and frequent grocery trips for fresh food. I feel defeated. I wish there was a no star option. It is somewhat comforting to see that so many other people have had issues with their Samsung refrigerators, as well as their customer service department, but also so unfortunate. I would NOT recommend any of their products to anyone at this point. I would never want anyone else to go through this like we have. Please consider this review (I know its long - sorry! ), as well as all the others, before purchasing a Samsung product.

Most appliance repair companies refuse to repair Samsung Refrigerator, what a SHOCK! I had no idea. I purchased my Samsung Refrigerator which was priced over $3,000 in 2013 on sale. After just a few months, we walked in the kitchen and saw a puddle of water on the floor. We had a warranty, so this wasnt a big deal. It happened again before the warranty expired. During the last visit, the repairman said it is not a big deal just remove the bottom drawer and remove that layer of ice and that takes care of the problem. The next time our warranty had expired so I did not consider the long term ramifications which hits us now that the bottom freezer drawer has stop freezing completely. This is a very costly repair. I am furious because this is a well known issue with Samsung. I really want my money back because this has been a constant problem.

Then will work for a few months. Samsung wont do nothing about it. They said they will a service tech call to set up appt but no one ever calls. I finally just broke down and purchased a Whirlpool fridge. Samsung should just stick to TVs and phones. Even my Samsung washer and dryer is junk.

Purchased this microwave from Lowes about 2 years ago. Dont have receipt anymore so dont know exact date... It now gets the -SE- error code and researching online after the fact have learned it to be quite a common problem and a design flaw in Samsung microwaves. Called Samsung to fix this issue and they said they will only replace parts for this error code in older models and not the SMH9027ST models... I ordered the display part and tried to replace myself but cant seem to open the bottom silver piece where this part goes. Will never again purchase Samsung products of any kind... Terrible customer service and products with known issues.

I purchased a 3 door Samsung refrigerator with ice maker 3 years ago. The refrigerator is junk. It freezes up making clucking jarring sounds because of the ice build up. It leaks under the crisper drawers and on to the floor outside of the fridge. I have contacted Samsung for the last 6 months. They asked me to allow them to pay a service tech to come fix it. The service tech broke the fridge and had me pay $400 to fix it. Still does the same thing. Samsung asked to pay for another repair but their techs could not make an appointment that was convenient for me then told me to use a tech in my area to state the fridge was unrepairable. I did so and paid $85. Now they are telling me that it is a seal problem and that I am either leaving my doors open or the doors are not on properly. I have since purchased a Maytag and threw the Samsung off my back porch. Samsung creates ticket numbers and closes them never returning phone calls or emails. Showing they are the guilty party in the problem with this fridge. I currently have had another ticket escalated to ask to pay for what I have put out because they asked me to do this in order to resolve the issue. $481. They just give you the runaround once again proving they are guilty of knowing that these are junk. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING SAMSUNG.

Purchased this dishwasher (Model DW80F800UWS/AA) 11 months ago. During that time our kitchen was under an extensive remodel so dishwasher wasnt in service for 8 out of the 11 months weve owned it. Now that our kitchen is in working order we hooked our new dishwasher up. The past 3 weeks have been plagued with numerous error codes: oE, 9E and HE. Ive contacted Samsung and each time theyve sent out A&E repair service to address the problems. Although the reps from Samsung have arranged for repairs this is really becoming ridiculous to say the least. So far this machine has gone through 2 case assemblies, an ECS sensor, main control board and now needs a heater sump pump assembly. Essentially every working part, some of them twice. To say were frustrated is putting it mildly. Now the holidays are approaching and we need to wait another 2 weeks for parts. Our manufacturer warranty ends in 3 weeks. If this ever gets fixed were pulling it out and replacing it with another brand. We will never buy a Samsung appliance ever again or would feel confident to recommend their products.

I bought a Samsung four door refrigerator type back in June 2013 at Lowes. A year after, the ice maker started to slow down making cube ice and then completely stopped producing it for just approximately 1 year and 3 months, not to mention on the countless reset I have done just to have ice. It will cost me $200-$300 for the repair and replacement of the unit as what I have been informed by their customer service. I was even told that I should have taken the extended warranty ;-(.... June 2019, the unit completely shutdown as both fridge and freezer were not cooling off anymore. Just 6 years and there goes my hard earned money down the drain. I thought Samsung was supposed to be a good long term household appliance, but turned out to be a BIG disappointment. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR YALL BUYING THIS SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!!!

Bought the Samsung DMT800RHS dishwasher from Lowes and installed it. After about 6 months of use, I noticed the top rack was sagging and not very sturdy. I noticed the adjustment clips were broken off the rack and I found 3 of them in the bottom of the dishwasher. I thought it was strange because we had never used the adjusters to raise or lower the rack. I called Samsung and described the problem so they looked up the date of purchase and said they would send out new adjusters to replace them. I got the parts and installed them. After about 4 months I noticed that 2 had broken off again - I knew it was a design flaw. I checked another model at Lowes and noticed they had a different design on that dishwasher for the upper rack. One morning after running the dishwasher the night before, I opened the door and began removing dishes - they were still dirty and there was liquid soap running down the door inside that had not dissolved. I reloaded the dirty dishes and turned it on. It filled with water, but the motor did not run and there was no washing. After checking out the control board (okay) and talking with Samsung, I tackled the problem myself. I removed the wash arm, unscrewed the filter module, removed the housing and found one of the broken clips wedged in the pump motor. After removing the piece and reassembling the module, it filled up with water and started washing. Samsung needs to provide a retrofit for the rack adjusters and send to all of their customers. I am considering making a clamp to wrap around the adjuster and the rack to keep it from falling below. Put my name on the list of dissatisfied consumers and contact me for a retrofit when available.

First, upon purchase, it took over three months for delivery, despite the fact that I was told it was in stock at the time. After a year and a half, the ice maker broke. Then it started to warm up and then it sounded as if it was ready to explode. Repair service after repair service was called. They have to diagnose, then order parts. It is now broken again and we are due to have a tech come out on September 1st. Every time they come, I have to miss 1/2 a day of work. There is a serious engineering flaw in the Samsung Refrigerators. The issue is that the refrigerator will ice up creating a huge ice jam in back of the refrigerator. It starts with water flowing down the back and into the crispers. That water freezes inside of the refrigerator causing a huge ice jam to create behind the back plastic covering inside of the refrigerator. This has been reported to be a widespread issue. All that you need to do is look up Samsung Refrigerator Issue on the internet. There are many individuals trying to provide so-called, remedies. However you cannot fix a poor design and the issue amounts to individuals having to defrost their refrigerator every couple months. Also water builds up inside. The internal temperature fluctuates thus causing food spoilage. Additionally the catch basin underneath will overflow with water causing damage to floors. Samsung appears to turn their back on this issue, even though it is widely reported. The issue starts after about the first or second year of ownership.

Ice maker & water dispenser have caused unspeakable frustration: We paid a premium for matching upper end appliances including the Samsung refrigerator which has caused my wife and I unspeakable frustration from the first year we purchased it. We love ice tea with ice and thought we bought a high end refrigerator that would allow us to have ice for our ice tea at the touch of a button. But that has certainly NOT been the case! The ice maker does not produce ice due to internal parts freezing up. This problem started within the first year we purchased it and after $100s in repair costs and uncountable hours spend thawing efforts, the same thing keeps happening over and over no matter how dry I get it. Besides freezing up, the motor has always made a loud noise which my wife cant stand and our guests ask what is that noise? Additionally, I had to spend $200 on a countertop ice maker because our $3,000 Samsung ice maker does not work. I hate to sell it to anyone else so we are stuck with it and dont know what to do with the piece of junk! Since Samsung knows that they sold me a design flawed product, I think they should replace my refrigerator ASAP.

Thinking about buying a Samsung refrigerator think again, Question is - What is Samsung doing about the frozen drain line issue? Do you think that a customer wants a defective product? I dont want to defrost my system every so-often, plus with the Samsung name youd think they would do something. Im almost 4 hours in working basically for Samsung... BS! Contacted Samsung customer service and get what I expected, nowhere.. The customer service rep said this is a unknown issue, https://www.samsung.com/in/support/home-appliances/resolving-drainage-issues-in-samsung-refrigerators/. So, I sent that link to customer service rep... Then was told its out of warranty. Yea, I know I only have it for 1 1/2 year and have learned that I will be repeating this process about every 1-2 years. Luckily, I am a handy person and do not need a service call. If you have a Samsung refrigerator plan on a defrost cycle every couple years when water pools up under the tray thats a good sign to start eating up the food.. Then plan a weekend to shut it down.... What I learned is to stay to the basics. A simple refrigerator without all the crap, ice trays work fine, the sink for water and 2 doors. Oh and that smug free door. Yeah, wanna see a picture it aint smug free and its dame hard to clean it off too.. Venting over!

When I purchased my Samsung refrigerator, at the time was the number 1 rated refrigerator of its type. From early on, I had started having troubles with the lower ice maker plastic parts breaking off. The service tech said that this was a common problem. Later we started having issues with the upper unit not cooling. Again I had a service tech come out only to tell me that the Twin Cool Plus system is another common problem. I was told to empty my refrigerator and turn it off for 24-48 hours to allow the unit to defrost. Or I could use a blow dryer and try to speed up the process. Is this what it has come to?? I called on several occasions to discuss what they would do to solve the Twin Cool Plus problem, and all they wanted to do is to send another service tech at my expense to look at the refrigerator. Now it runs, but does not dry dishes. I purchased the rinse agent as I was advised, used it, still does not dry dishes. Today I used the sanitize option which was suggested in manual to get dishes dry...still not dry. I also have a very bad smell coming from dishwasher when there are no dirty dishes in it. She also tells me my one year manufacturers warranty was non existent because the date that the refrigerator was made is the date the warranty starts. So my 5 month old fridge was out of warranty. I couldnt hate Samsung and their POS products any more than I do right now. Our refrigerator started acting up when it was 3.5 years old. Occasional loud grinding noises that we thought was the fan scraping against a buildup of ice. Almost a year later the noises stopped and the fridge temperature went up to where it was barely keeping the fridge cool enough to be functional. A repairman came, diagnosed and fixed the issue very quickly and cheaply, and we were quite satisfied. Until it stopped working again less than 30 days later. Now the same repairman thinks its a seal system issue, which his company doesnt address. Was told our issue would be expedited because we cant live without a refrigerator. That was a week ago. Samsung initially said a new repair company would contact us within 24 - 48 hours. I had to call back 3 times after that window to finally get a service repair number from them. IT WAS THE NUMBER OF THE SAME COMPANY THAT ALREADY CAME TO THE HOUSE AND SAID THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIX IT. Called Samsung again, and they gave me another number to call. That company ALSO said they dont address seal system issues. Called Samsung AGAIN. Now they dont know if theres anybody in our area who can address this issue. But not to worry, because theyll call me in 24 - 48 hours to let me know if theyve found somebody! Meanwhile Im supposed to give my toddler spoiled milk with his takeout dinner? After paying $45.95 for a replacement that I was told would be metal, was the same cheap plastic. Then trying to attach the new handle, you have to pry off the molding to get to the screws.

Refrigerator mod # RF28HMEDBBC/AA - From the first day of having ice, it took FOREVER to get a glass of ice out of it. I called customer service after 2 weeks of use and had them listen to the ice come out and how long it took and she said oh that is normal. The ice comes out in a half crushed half cubed form and I told her THAT is not normal. After trying to convince her that I was over 70 years old and have had ice maker the last 40 years and I know how they are supposed to work and this one sucks and I got extremely frustrated with her I hung up. 4 month later I called back in because the ice maker was freezing up on the inside and outside. They sent a repairman out that totally blew off the first appointment and the second appointment but showed up for the third one but didnt have the parts needed and had to order them. Showed up with those parts, replaced them. After a week it started freezing again. I called back in and they replaced the internals again and two weeks later it froze again and they replaced it again with an upgrade of gaskets on the ice maker along with the internals of the ice maker again. It took almost 36 hours to fill the ice maker and it still comes out half crushed and half cubed. Yikes. It has made a loud noise since we have had it and all of them say this is NORMAL!!! REALLY. The refrigerator part has worked great. The shelving totally sucks for placement of items. NOTHING fits anywhere. Would I buy another one? Not only no but hell no!!! Freezer part is great and no complaints with it. I certainly hope this helps anyone looking to purchase a Samsung French door refrigerator.

I purchased a Samsung DMT300 Dishwasher in October 2011. From day one, the dishwasher did not wash dishes. I thought it was the way I was loading it or possibly the detergent I was buying. It has literally broken every glass I had. I have to load glasses on the bottom rack to get them clean (somewhat clean). I have contacted Samsung and Teppermans to have this dishwasher replaced. The customer service at Samsung was shocking. The last fellow offered the extended warranty one time service call; however, he was extremely rude during our conversation. When I asked him why he was so rude, he got angry and said, forget it; I am not offering you the one time service. What? Im still hoping that Samsung or Teppermans will step up and replace this dishwasher that does not work.

I purchased a counter depth fridge and within the first 6 months I had to call in two repairs and was told if there is a third call out within 12 months of purchase they will consider it a defective fridge. Well guess what 12 month and 1 week after the purchase they didn’t honor that but did a courtesy repair... so kind... lol but didn’t honor defective part. Now 15 months in and now another noise coming from this horrible purchase. Samsung should stick to TVs.

I saved for over a year to be able to purchase what I thought was a top of the line refrigerator. When Lowes had this 4 door refrigerator on sale, I jumped at the chance to purchase. The first day the refrigerator was plugged in, the digital board on the ice maker would not work. My son finally got it to work after we unplugged the unit and plugged it back in. About a month later, the same thing happened. I called technical support and they helped me to get the unit going again. Tonight when I got home from work, the ice machine would not work. I call support again and spoke to a gentleman that could not be understood. When I figured out that he could not help, I asked to speak to someone else. I got to speak to the woman from hell. Even though I told her that my refrigerator was new and that I had taken the extended service agreement, she informed me that I would have to pay someone to repair my refrigerator because I needed to be educated on how to use it. Well, I do know that I should not have to unplug my new refrigerator 3 times in 3 months to keep the digital panel from freezing up. Lowes told me not to call the technical support number again but to call them directly because I could not count on Samsung to help me with my problem. I wish I had read the negative reviews before spending over $2000 on a unit that does not work.
