I bought a Samsung RF28HMEDBSR French door refrigerator 12/11/15 and it is not working correctly. I called an authorized repairman and they have replaced the ice maker, ice bin, auger for ice maker, some kind of filter on the back and it is still the same. They now say I need 2 defroster 1 for the top and 1 for the freezer. I have already spent a lot of money on this sorry refrigerator. The ice maker is still freezing up, dripping water and not keeping proper temperature. I am very unhappy with all this on a 1 1/2 year old refrigerator. My repairman wont even answer my calls now.

After only 15 months, the touch pad quit working. The #3 would not work but I thought I could live with the default setting. However, two days later, the oven will heat to temp then shut off. The repair person said the cost would run between $285-$500 to fix depending on how many parts he needed. This is half the cost of the stove. I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance. A stove should last longer that 15 months!

Samsung RF28HMEDBSR French Door Refrigerator - Bought ours Nov. 2014 and bought the exact same one for my mother-in-law about a month later. Our ice-maker started acting up and freezing almost a year to the day after purchasing. Then lo and behold, my mother-in-laws did the exact same thing about a month after ours started (about one year to the day for her too). I did the hairdryer defrosting trick about 5 times in a two month span and had had enough... Too much work for ice, seriously! So then I got the bright idea to shut the ice-making ability off and buy bagged ice from the store and put it in the dispenser bucket. Works fantastic, except when you pay $2300 for a fridge with an ice-maker, one shouldnt have to purchase ice!My mother-in-law has appliance guard from Black Hills and they came out and fixed it a couple months ago, and it froze over again (just received an email from her this morning). I feel terrible because we purchased this for her as a gift and bragged how much we loved it; that was before the problems. If anyone has a fix, please post the link here. Theres been lots of theories, but I dont want to call out a repairman to temporarily fix what I can do with a blow dryer... ugghhh. Why no class-action lawsuit yet? The complaints are endless on their ice-makers, etc.

We bought an RF267 series refrigerator. And like many on this site, we started to experience problems with the ice maker right away. It only makes ice when it feels like it. Sometimes we will go for a couple of months without any ice, and then it starts to make ice with no warning. Most of the time it just makes clunking and popping noises. This has gone on for a couple of years and after reading about all of the other problems, I am afraid to have it repaired. It seems I am lucky compared to most of you. I also have two Samsung TVs that after just a couple of years experienced pixel problems and then just simply wont power up when the power button is pressed. I can safely say that I wont buy another Samsung product.

Even if the price is higher than average, the quality and convenience add a lot of attractiveness. Microwave parts (like the plate, for example) are replaceable across different models. Samsung microwaves usually don't require reading the documentation - the interface is intuitive. I can make an emphasis the quality: reliability and quality of materials - I never experienced any issues like rusty parts over the long usage, etc. Warranty (even if I never used it) from Samsung adds some confidence in product quality. So far, I had no issues with the products of this company. Highly recommended Samsung microwaves and other kitchenware!

I purchased a Samsung Model # ME18H704SFS Over the Counter Microwave April 17, 2017. I was away two months over this past winter, so the microwave was used about a year. It matched my new Samsung $1300.00 oven perfectly. One day last week, it just stopped working. We tried troubleshooting it and then called the company after that. Unfortunately, it was about 14 months since we purchased it and was no longer under warranty. After pleading the employee from Samsung for some help, they said to call a service center. I was told by two of them that they would charge me $100.00 nonrefundable for just coming (which I understand) and then parts and labor. He said if it is the motherboard or any other thing like that, it could cost $200.00 or more to repair with only a 90 day warranty. It breaks my heart but I had to throw it out. It was beautiful but did not work. I will never buy a Samsung product. We went to Consumers and found out it was rated most poorly. I now am in the process of purchasing either a Whirpool or Frigidaire since they got good ratings. We are heartsick about wasting all the money we spent over a year ago for this item. By the way, there was nothing wrong with my Kenmore over the counter microwave oven that was a Kenmore and 20 years old. It was white and we redid our kitchen in all stainless steel appliances. Fortunately, we gave it to someone who is still enjoying it. Please do yourself a favor and dont get sucked in with the Samsung company. They are unreliable appliances and really dont care about you once you buy their product.

We just bought (September 2019 ) a 23 cu ft Samsung Model RF23R6201. The freezer operates at 15 degrees Fahrenheit higher temperature than it should! It is supposed to be at minus 5 degrees Fahrenheit but it is actually at plus 10 degrees Fahrenheit (I have verified this with two Refrigerator Thermometers). A Samsung repairman came by a couple of days ago (after a one week delay!) and supposedly fixed the problem with a software update which did not improve the performance of the Refrigerator at all! Needless to say, the ice maker does not work either! Furthermore the Refrigerator (deceptively?) indicates an inaccurate value for the freezer temperature. STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS! (I doubt I will ever buy any SAMSUNG product.)

It starts up on its own, runs the Baked Potato program and eventually stops with the code -SE- displayed. I need to unplug the unit, let it sit for awhile, and then plug it back in to get it working again. I agree that Samsung needs to do something about this. The problem is too widespread. RF26 French Door Fridge - Purchased at Home Depot for my rental house and I
RF26 French Door Fridge - Purchased at Home Depot for my rental house and I took delivery on August 2015. The price was right but a previous experience with a Samsung fridge (since replaced with GE model) made me buy a 5 year extended warranty for this unit. Glad I did, but in the end the result will be the same. I eventually gave my first 2012 problem counter-depth fridge (RF19) away as I could not in good conscience sell it with THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM I AM HAVING WITH THIS NEWER MODEL!!! A sheet of ice forms under both crisper drawers. I know Im an idiot for taking a chance on Samsung again. Why you may ask... Call me foolish, I wanted to believe they had 5 years to improved their obvious design flaws. Why wouldnt they with so many of these same complaints?? First time shame on Samsung, this time shame on me!! (And maybe Home Depot.) Ill call Asurion and start the process of disappointment. I know what to tell the tech guy when he arrives. There will be no talk of ordering thermostats or other expensive parts or any of that nonsense. Just like I learned on a YouTube video following the first incident. Ill instruct the tech to carefully remove the cover of the twin cooling tower they call it. Then detach the cable harness and swing it out of the way. I wont actually do the work cause that would void my extended warranty. Ill just help with the hair dryer to defrost the frozen water in the center of the drain tray at the bottom of the heater (defroster) elements. The tiny hole the water is supposed to be able to escape thru is no bigger than the diameter of an ink pen refill. The solution is take a scrap piece of copper wire, say 14 gauge and wrap it several times around the heater bar and send it down the center of the tiny hole. This wire then helps transfer the heat directly to that point that freezes up. Reassemble and good to go. At least it worked on that fridge for over 1 year, then the problem came back. Like the guy on YouTube said, it works for while, then repeat as often as necessary. By this time I had learned a trick on how to keep the dripping water out of the food drawers and ruining my veggies (stand a sponge upright behind the drawers). That way all I had to do was check for the ice sheet under the drawers ever week or two, and chuck that ice in the sink. I was willing to put up with no loss of food as an improvement in my situation, resigning myself to the fact that I would not be replacing my home unit with any model of Samsung, even if it were FREE. Samsung was no help at all with the first fridge problems. Reading these comments here, it would seem that that hasnt changed at all. So my lesson learned is similar to others here, I will NEVER EVER purchase ANY Samsung appliance in the future. Also, what I will do different this time is I will file a complaint with the BBB against Home Depot, I wish all the commenters here that say class action this, or the government should do that would take a similar approach. I think this formal complaint action is one that may eventually lead to consumer protection laws being invoked against these thieves who refuse to stand behind their products.

I am an Appliance Specialist for a large national appliance store and I always tell my customers the truth. I am a believer of Samsung refrigerators, ranges, otr microwaves and washer and dryers but I always warn my customers about Samsung dishwasher service issues. Im pretty sure that the salesperson that sold most of you a Samsung dishwasher mentioned that they were crap. With so many choices for dishwashers, you should have looked at Bosch first, Kitchen aid secondly then, LG, Whirlpool, GE and Frigidaire in that order. Leaving Samsung at the bottom. So anyone reading this post, please listen to your Appliance Specialist and avoid the frustration of repairing a Samsung dishwasher and please have confidence in the other Samsung appliances that are available.

The customer service is horrific. The people are rude and do not honor the warranty. The temperature numbers on our stove started disappearing within the first year of owning the stove. I bought a Samsung refrigerator RS263TDR from my local Lowes store. About 18 moths later ice would collect on the back wall & water at the bottom of the fridge department. I called Samsung customer service and they advised me to go to a local certified Samsung repair shop. After the first year, Samsung customer service told me that these parts are not under warranty, repair cost $275.00. Just a few months later the ice maker was defective and water level was out of adjustment and too much water would overflow over the existing ice cubes. The ice cubes would become just one big block of ice and a sensor was dangling in the ice maker area. So we shut the ice maker off. A few months later the entire refrigerator shut down and we could not restart it again. Samsung technician told us that the main electronic motherboard is burnt and this is a major part and shall be covered for at least 5 years. In my disbelieve Samsung does not cover it after just one year. It is not worth it to repair this unit again! Parts and labor over $850. I had to replace my Samsung side by side refrigerator RS263TDR just after 3 1/2 years!!!

Fridge purchased less than 2 years ago is not cooling. We have the problem for two weeks already. The food gets bad. The upper part of the fridge does not cool. We call Samsung several times. First, a representative was trying to repair it while on the phone. One of those, Mr. **, with very bad attitude. So, we turn off the circuit breaker for 30 seconds, then again for a minute but nothing. After another call, Samsung gave me a repair case number and said someone will call me. Waiting a few days, no one called but Cristina ** sent an email 3 days later to tell me I have to call to schedule the repair. Her office was closed at the time I read it, so I called the next day and left 4 messages. It seems she called in the afternoon and talked to my son who has a disability. My son didnt know much about what was going on, so Cristina decided to cancelled the ticket. I called her the next day to ask her why it was cancelled after I left so many messages but she didnt care, and told me to call Samsung to get another repair case number. This means to wait again a few more days. Now Cristina refuses to do the repair saying that I was rude, yes I was very upset, and Samsung does not have any other company to do the repair. So, Samsung wont do anything even though this fridge is still under warranty.

We bought a $2500 digital four-door refrigerator from Samsung (model RM255LASH-XAA; serial number 40504043EP100202-Z) through Lowes four years ago. Not a year later, we had trouble with the ice-maker. Luckily, it’s under warranty and we had a tech out to replace it. Again, the same thing happened a year later. This year, 2012, we noticed a leak underneath which caused a puddle on the floor beneath the refrigerator. It’s out of warranty. We called a technician ($100). After extensive search, we found out that it was the defrosting system. It was not working and we needed a new complete defrosting system ($500) as Samsung didn’t replace the heating part alone. We will manually have to defrost it ourselves in the future, which is ridiculous (back to the stone age). We did not want to put a dime more into such an expensive appliance. We will not trust Samsung again for purchasing.

We bought our refrigerator in March of 2011 and have had nothing but issues with it since the year warranty expired last year in 2012. I have contacted Samsung via chat, phone and email multiple times to complain and request a replacement. Each time they tell me they are escalating my request to their Executive Complaints Division. They tell me that I will hear back within 1-2 business days, and I have never heard a thing. When Ive called on numerous occasions, the person I speak with apologizes and essentially tells me that they will escalate. We had to have the fan and motherboard replaced last year in June 2012 and shortly thereafter, the ice maker stopped working. Now, the Twin Cooling system appears to be broken and there is consistently standing water below the drawers. This is unacceptable and Ive been reading about hundreds of other similar complaints via the website. Samsung just does not do anything about it. We have 3 small children and now have had mold growing in the refrigerator. We have had this now for 2 years, and I believe it is undoubtedly unacceptable to have to buy a new refrigerator already.

I purchased a Samsung oven just over a year ago. I don’t bake very often so I did not notice the oven has a problem with the temperature. When setting the oven temp. from the get go the panel reads 150 degrees. When the oven ready alarm beeps, the panel displays the desired temp., but the actual oven temp is over 100 degrees less. The oven continues to heat towards the set temperature and reaches it @ 4 minutes later. After & 3 minutes the temp starts to decrease, eventually decreasing by 20 degrees, a temp that it then maintains. We purchased our Samsung Microwave (SMH1816S) for our kitchen remodel and had it installed in April 2014. The microwave died on 3/30/15, getting the dreaded error code of 5E. We called Samsung (800-726-7864) on 3/30/15. Having read these reviews, we were prepared for the worst, and that is exactly what we got. DENIAL, DENIAL, DENIAL. We were told our warranty no longer existed. Even worse, they told us our Model number and Serial number didnt even come up! They consistently told me they could give me the number of their service center, but that we would have to pay for the repairs. I argued for 45 minutes with ** explaining to her that we would in NO way pay for the repair of a defective product… something that Samsung is FULLY aware, yet continues to deny. She then said she would have the Tech. Dept. call me the next day. No one got back with me so I called back on 4/2/15 and spoke with ** which got me nowhere, so demanded to speak with a Supervisor. I then spoke with ** of Executive Customer Relations. He, again, tried to deny that Samsung has a serious problem with their microwaves. I cited the over 300 complaints on Consumer Affairs. After 45 minutes of arguing, he finally relented and said they would send a repair tech out at no cost but that the only part they would cover would be the control panel as this is the part that seemed to be the cause of our complaint based upon our error code. Today, 4/10/15, the repairman came out and replaced the control panel. And, not surprisingly, the microwave is still dead! He claimed it must be the main board that needs replacing as the new control panel did not solve the problem. As he only brought a new control panel, he said he would send in our repair results and that someone would contact me. I asked him what a new main board would run and he said he had no idea what the cost of parts ran as only the Joplin, MO. office would know.At this point, I am totally disgusted with Samsung. Seems to me that if it is not the control panel, then it is something else. Bottom line is these microwaves are crap and whats more frustrating is that Samsung is fully aware of it, yet will not take appropriate action… such as recall them. All I know is that when I am contacted, I am ready to fight once again for this worthless item to be fixed BY Samsung at no cost to us. We have not even used this microwave for 1 year and for it to die on us, is absurd! Would love to hear about anyone elses similar experience with failure of the main board. I can only reiterate what everyone else seems to feel… why has a Class Action Lawsuit not been put in action? I know this is a long standing complaint and is extremely common. Is there not an attorney in the house who has experienced this problem with Samsung Microwaves? I will be the first to sign the petition if the challenge is created. I will write more about our travails once Samsung calls me. And if they fail to do so, I will be calling them! NO ONE SHOULD PUT UP WITH SAMSUNGS DENIAL FOR REPAIR! If you dont get what you want, fight for what is right! It has worked for me thus far. They simply cannot keep denying these claims.Updated on May 5, 2015: This is a continuation of a previous review published 4/10/15. It is vital that every Samsung consumer read this tip. We went through the same agony as everyone in dealing with Samsung and their refusal to acknowledge or assist in the repair of these defective microwaves. We spent hours on the phone with several Samsung employees.. most in the management dept. Each phone call got us the usual response... we can provide you with the number of a service repair company but the cost is up to you. Just so you understand, I do not put up with lies nor do I put up with injustices. I do not let them go. It was not until after I finally demanded to speak with someone in their LEGAL DEPARTMENT that I got any satisfactory response. I was told that the only thing they could give me was the email address for their legal dept. So, I wrote the Legal Dept.. ** on 4/16/15. I expressed my disgust with Samsung and urged them to read the reviews on ConsumerAffairs.com. I pointed out to them that they were completely unethical in their handling of the hundreds (actually probably thousands if you take into account those who just did not write a review on ConsumerAffairs) of complaints as to the dreaded defective microwaves. I warned them that a Class Action Lawsuit seemed to be encouraged by most. On 4/17/15, I received an email from the Legal Dept. (I will not give the name as it seems the names are bleeped out). The email approved the cost of repair for our microwave. We, too, had the common 5E/SE error code. The technician came out on 4/21/15 to make the repair. Turns out we had to have the motherboard replaced (having already replaced the control panel) before the oven worked properly. We do not feel the headaches are over. It seems as if many of these issues arise again after a few months of use. We will not be surprised when/if this happens again. Bottom line, these microwaves need to be recalled or a Class Action Lawsuit should prevail. Samsung is only putting a temporary fix on these defects. Since the Legal Dept. acted as if my complaint was new to them, I can only encourage everyone to write the Legal Dept. of Samsung to voice their complaint and to get appropriate action. Hopefully this helps all of you who are getting nowhere with Samsung.

What hasnt gone wrong. The latest problem is the handle on the freezer drawer. It keeps coming off. There are two bolts that screw into the freezer drawer that the handle attaches to. The problem is, the refrigerator has a latent known defect in which the threaded piece inside the drawer the bolt screws into breaks off inside the drawer. This is clearly a latent defect with the manufacturing of the product. Samsung considers this a cosmetic issue. Huhhhh, they would not honor the repair and wanted me to purchase another warranty. We have had many other issues like the ice machine, water filter and so on. I am so done with Samsung – a crappy product, bad service. Dont buy.

Bought a dishwasher that broke down in 6 months. Obviously the product is under warranty and its been one months and they still have not been able to send someone to even come and take a look at it. I would like to know how I can sue Samsung for 1) providing me a crappy product 2) Not honoring their warranty and causing me a lot of heartache by ruining my holiday weekend and my time with my family which I now have to spend cleaning dishes! Worst company and products ever.

I purchased a black stainless steel appliance package and its been a nightmare. Initially the stove was scratched during installation, so they sent me a new one. The new one sounded like it was about blow up and clicked and clicked. The lady said it was because its cold in Colorado?! They swapped it out. Then there is the refrigerator. With the first one, the right door wouldnt stay open, so they sent out someone to fix it. After he fixed it, the right door stayed opened, but the left one didnt. They claimed thats how they are supposed to work for efficiency. No, thats simply not true. They sent a new one. This one had a terrible buzzing and humming sound every time it turned on. They sent me another one. This one was even worse, but the good news is that the doors stayed opened. Clearly how they should work. So, I let them know about the loud sound and they sent me another one. Its the worst one of the three. Im at a loss. Does Samsung just make a terrible product? The dishwasher doesnt clean the dishes. I always rinse them and make sure there isnt much of anything on them. And it stinks!! I keep the door open, which is annoying. Very very disappointed in the products. This has been going on since I purchased them less than 6 months ago. I have spent hours upon hours trying to talk to someone, emailing, and waiting for my 8 different appointments. I do not recommend their appliances at all. They look good, but not worth the money.

I purchased a Samsung rf267aers refrigerator 12/01/09. The issue with this unit is the following. We the owners of this unit all (have) the same problem. Lousy design of defrost system allows the defrosted water to freeze in the discharge tube so it overflows into the lower platform under the pull out shelf. When it freezes, it freezes the roller wheel on the bottom of the shelf in the layer of ice and it wont move until you defrost the fridge to the point it releases. There are YouTube videos of how to defrost the coils but Samsung has known about this forever and wont fix it.So every month I remove the bottom tray and remove the built up ice slab. Now I have called samsung several times. Samsungs directions defrost the refrigerator. But even that process DO NOT solve the problem. ONCE unit was turned on again the SAME problem returned. I once inquired to samsung tech people how much it would cost me to fix the problem $700-$800 with NO GUARANTEE. BUT THEY WOULD put the old parts back. Of course I would have to pay for the labor for the install and removal that was about $165-320. Samsung bad NEWS.

We bought an Appliance package last October from Bill Smith Appliances. I am very dissatisfied with the Electric range. It has serious safety issues. The knobs that turn off the range top, turn very easily as when someone walks by it, or if I reach up and brush the knob, the stovetop goes on and heats up the glass. I have done it many times. Recently, the stovetop went on, without turning it on, and burned a plastic bowl that sat on the top of the stove. Im afraid that it will cause a fire, or burn someone not knowing it was on. I am very unhappy with the Samsung products and would not recommend them to anyone. Very dangerous! There was also a promotion for buying the appliance for $350 off the total cost. I have contacted Samsung, support@samsungpromo.zendesk.com and Bill Smith, phone #239-275-5555, because we still havent received our rebate.

Lets starts with the nice sturdy looking knobs. The inside is a piece of plastic that breaks within a month. The NX58H5600SS convection oven is worse than a normal oven and takes longer to cook food. 4 short months after the warranty was up, it starts randomly beeping and giving me a -SE- on the screen. Wont even show the time. None of the buttons work even after all the troubleshooting. Troubleshooting for this code is just push off button. Ok well the buttons dont work. So unplug for 30 seconds. Now that thats done it is still displaying the -SE-. Thanks Samsung as a service call will cost at least 300 to come fix it according to other reviews. What a piece of crap this oven is. Will never buy Samsung anything again. Not like they even care! My tv, all my phones, washers, dryers, nothing ever again! And the service call person sounded like she couldnt give 2 craps seeing as how she told me it was her Friday. Wasnt even concerned that I just spent $900 on a stove that ** the bed 16 months later!!! Bad Samsung! BAD!

This the 4th microwave I have had since 10/08. The first 2 were GE and needed repairs in less than a year. The Samsung I purchased for the 3rd oven lasted a number of years and I recently purchased another Samsung which was identical to the discontinued model, except it was no longer 1100 watts and some of the buttons had been moved. This oven is a good size and I like it. Although this is a very good oven, I really wanted one that was 1100 watts. It seems they no longer make wall ovens with wattage higher than a 1000 watts.

While baking at 375 degrees and standing in front of the oven I heard a loud pop, and then seen a lot of smoke coming out of the top rear behind the clock and program panel. From the smell, it was obviously an electrical fire. The circuit board and connectors burned up. Luckily I was close by and able to unplug the stove. Stove is completely inoperative and is only 6 1/2 years old. I never had any problems until now. I was able to unplug the stove so I do not know if the fire would have continued. Dangerous fire hazard. I wonder what would have happened if I was not home and my granddaughter decided to cook a pizza. Out of approx 40 comments I have read, three of them mentioned the same thing happening to them.

I just had delivered a Samsung side-by-side counter depth fridge. The ice maker took 3 days to make ice to fill the holder on the door. Water drips from the spout when you fill a glass with water. I have only had this fridge 3 days. The ice maker seems to be an issue with every model Samsung makes. I called customer service three times. I talked to even a supervisor that was not able to resolve my issue. Customer service does not know the operation of their products and had me on hold forever. I was told by a friend that owns the same model that the ice maker produces 7 ice cubes every 90 minutes, which explains why it took 3 days to fill. I also read the same information on a website. I took out the service plan after the 1-year warranty is over. Having to deal with Samsung has been nothing but a waste of time and a huge headache. I am still scratching my head wondering why they are rated the number one fridge on the market. I had an 18-year-old GE that I would gladly take back. It never had one issue. I just wanted to update my kitchen with stainless steel. I would never buy another Samsung appliance.

I bought my Samsung Dishwasher in 2011. When we had owned it only 13 months (only used 7 months as I stored it until kitchen renovation was complete) my Samsung dishwasher DMT800 broke down the first time. Had to wait a week before I could get anyone to work on it. The plastic tabs on the top rack had broken and fallen into the bottom and the washer arm would not spin. Technician ordered new brackets and installed them, cost $200. Same thing happened with new plastic part. I had my husband take the whole thing apart and clear out the brackets the next time. Now the top arm of the dishwasher will not work nor will the detergent dispenser dump the detergent. Loved my old KitchenAid dishwasher. It was still working perfectly when I gave it away to install matching Samsung appliances. Will never buy Samsung again. Hope you see this before you buy Samsung. Beware.

When the filter replacement light went on, I tried to replace the original filter with a Samsung filter, and the neck of the original--with its O-ring, broke off, requiring shutting off the water outside the refrigerator. While waiting for the replacement part, the entire ice cube maker iced up, spilling water out the front, onto the floor and ruining the custom wood enclosure. I did a kitchen remodel in December 2013. I bought all new appliances and was really impressed with the Samsung Dishwasher DW80F600UTS/AA model. In just over a year of having it installed, the dishwasher would stop after about 20 minutes and the delicate light would flash. I called Samsung and they said it was my drain line. I had someone come out and check my drain line, but that was not the problem. I called Samsung again and explained my situation. I was told that if I used their service center and if it was deemed Samsungs fault it would be repaired. I agreed and paid $110 for the service company to come to my house. He told me that the motherboard has gone out in all of these models but usually within the year. Since I am a single person and dont wash dishes as much as most families it just took it a little longer.I called Samsung again after they received his report and basically was offered to buy a extended warranty. When I refused, I was offered for the part to be paid for but not the installation. Customer Service is horrible. Every time I called they said I would get a phone call regarding their customer service but as of today there has been no phone call - guess they really dont care. Its a shame that they dont stand behind their product - if the motherboard had been replaced in this model I should have received something within the year of buying it stating there was a problem and they were willing to replace it. Car manufacturers recall their product when they see a problem and is willing to repair/replace product.

Range is 5 months old. Will not hold temp that it is set at. Set at 350 inside thermometer shows after oven is open temp drops. I have been told that no more parts can be replaced. Technician replaced all parts already. Company told technician to tell me to figure out what temp I want to bake at and adjust temp to that temp. It starts out at 380 per the technicians meter when stove is set to bake at 350. Last technician told me to cook one tray cookies at a time because when I pilot in 2 trays, that is making temp drop because heat cant circulate properly with 2 trays and that is why heat temp drops. WHAT? I have been baking for 40 years and have ways been able to bake 2 trays at one time. Sure temp will drop a few degrees when you open oven but I have to shut oven off in order to preheat it each time I open the door to get it to come back to the temp I set. I see all these problems people are having with fires and I am scared to death. I want it fixed right or would appreciate if Lowes would give me credit to get a different make. I will never buy another Samsung product. I did call federal trade commissioner office to give my complaint. Maybe if everyone else called and voiced their complaint, maybe Samsung would have to be responsible and fix these issues.

Just like everybody here, I got this error for my Samsung microwave (model SMH9187W), which is just a bit over two years old. I arranged for service myself by a Samsung authorized service company. The repair cost $205.90. The company diagnosed the microwave as needing a new keypad. While waiting for the company to come back with the part and install it, I contacted Samsung about getting reimbursed for the problem. To my surprise, they did have a program in place to reimburse people, but only if you arranged for service through them and only if it was the control panel. If it turned out to be the keypad, they wouldnt pay. My service person came back, installed the keypad (which he said was the recommended fix in Samsungs own manual for repairmen) and my microwave now works. I contacted Samsung again because the invoice from the repair company says they actually replaced the electronic control board. I think the repair person is maybe using the terms interchangeably. At any rate, Samsungs new excuse for not paying me now has nothing to do with how my microwave was repaired, but because they have no way to reimburse me; despite the fact that I have a detailed invoice, that the repair fixed the problem and that it was performed by an authorized Samsung repair company. I just wrote a letter to the CEO and told him I would never, ever buy another Samsung product.

I bought a Samsung Refrigerator in 2007. Nothing but problems. 4 Ice maker installed at almost $400.00 a piece. I call Best Buy. They were no help. No one in the town that I live will do repair work. They said they would not repair. Was not worth fixing. I found one repair place in the next state. They charge me $95.00 just to come to my house. I called Samsung after this problem persisted. I thought they would show a little sympathy, not a chance. That equals to an ice maker every 2 years I have owned this piece of junk. I have bought 2 Samsung tablets, a phone, a refrigerator and a range. You would think that consumer loyalty would matter but it doesnt. This fridge cost me $2415.00 plus $1600.00 for ice makers that is a total of $4015.00. This is a bad joke. The kicker is Samsung also makes the ice makers. They get your money every way you turn. I bought a Whirlpool fridge 28 years ago. It is still working and so is the ice maker. I should have known better, stick with what works. I will never waste my money on anything that has Samsung on it again.

David in Ohio, I had the same exact situation occur with my microwave. It was made in Feb of 2010. But I did not take possession of it until Sept of 2010. I was storing a freshly made chocolate cake in the microwave when I came home from work to smell a horrible odor of something burnt in my home. I freaked out and began searching for the cause. It wasnt until later that I noticed the code for a short on my microwave. I unplugged it and cleaned the horrible mess out of it. Then I re-plugged it in and reset the clock and tried to warm up a cup of water. Everything worked fine. So I thought, ok, that was weird, how did it turn on by itself? Then as I was going about other business, I heard the microwave turn on.... When I got to it the message screen said it was cooking in Baked Potato mode. Now that was crazy! So I have been without use of my microwave for a few days. I began looking online for any recalls. I did find a similar issue recalled back in early part of the 2000 decade. But nothing recently. Then I saw Davids post. My situation almost EXACTLY!!!! I did also post a complaint on Samsung Supports Facebook page. They replied with a link for me to go to and complete with info for them to get back in contact with me. We will see. I hope this company will stand up and make good on some type of faulty problem with their product. I would hate to have to buy another brand. I already have a Samsung range and was looking at replacing my current Kenmore dishwasher with a Samsung. All depends on how they handle this situation. Obviously it is a mfgs defect. Not caused by anything I did.

I would put negative or Zero stars if I could. We are on day 18 with a broken refrigerator and no closer to a resolution. It takes a minimum of 4 days to get a physical service person to arrive and evaluate the problem. In our case it was a severe sealed compressor issue on our refrigerator less than 1 year old and still under factory warranty. After the technician discovered the real problem we waited 3 days for Samsung to determine an exchange was the course of action. 7 Days after that determination we are no closer to getting the exchange we were promised. You would think after the amount of my follow up calls, I could actually reach a person with the ability to simply approve the exchange request. The scripted response is to tell you they will expedite with an email. Horrible service Samsung.

We purchased Samsung range, model NE595R0ABBB in November 2014. 3.5 years later, its fried. I am never buying another Samsung appliance ever again. We did purchase an extended warranty for it and it underwent a few repairs. The motor for the convection fan kept burning up, and now I am wondering if the latest incident is linked, because I believe the circuit board shorted out after reading about similar incidents online.Last night, I was preheating the oven and before it got to temperature, it shorted. I was in the next room, and I heard a very very loud buzzing sound coming from the kitchen, like something was being electrocuted, and my kitchen lights were flickering. I ran into the kitchen and there was smoke coming out of the oven. Not too much smoke; it didnt trip our smoke alarm. I turned the oven off, and opened the door, and the bottom panel inside the oven was glowing red in the rear left corner. This was probably the most terrifying minute of my life. I am just so grateful that I was able to act quickly and nothing catastrophic happened.I am glad that I was so close by to turn it off quickly; if I had been upstairs or outside, this could have been worse. I am sure it would have caught fire. As soon as we were able to, we pulled the oven away from the wall and unplugged it. There is no damage to anything outside the oven, though the back panel of the oven looks a little warped. I am not even going to bother getting this repaired; I dont want it in my home anymore. We purchased a GE and are awaiting delivery. Though I wouldnt be surprised if all the wiring is melted and other damage inside resulted from this. Some of my other complaints with this range: I have had oven temperature problems since almost the beginning with this. I am also very disappointed that the paint around the top of the oven door (its plain black, not a special finish) is flaking, and the paint near the stove backsplash where the vents are is flaking, too. The ceramic top has been stained since we first had it; nothing cleans it properly. Even water stains it. The seal around the edge of the ceramic cooktop is eroding. Anything deemed cosmetic is not covered under the warranty.

Updated on 08/02/2018: It has continually built up of ice, under the ice maker every 5/6 weeks. Have notice partially melted ice in the storage bucket, in which it jams the ice dispenser. Either I use a hair dryer to defrost or chip the sheet of ice off the ice maker. To free the ice out of the ice maker bucket I run warm water through it. Have updated the motherboard, and replaced the ice maker twice. With one new revision, that has a physical square rectangle water intake housing. None of these parts fixed my problems!Original review: I have a Samsung Refrigerator model RF263BEAESRAA purchased on 6/13. Ice seems to build up on bottom of ice maker & also around ice dispenser rod to the point in which itll freeze solid & will no longer dispense ice. Every week Im having to dump out semi-melted ice out of the ice jammed dispenser & ice thats build up thats located under the ice maker. Having replaced ice maker, motherboard, auger motor & fan assembly. Its still doing the same thing as far as ice building up.

If you are thinking about buying a Samsung refrigerator dont. This is the worse product ever and I regret buying it. I purchased the product in 2013 from Lowes, they were having a sale so I purchased the refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher. I have not had any problems with the stove but the dishwasher and refrigerator is a whole new ball game. First, there are the filters (which are not cheap) you have to buy every six months to a year for the refrigerator depending on how much you use the water dispenser. Secondly, the ice maker just one day stop making ice and this has been going on for about a year as I refuse to pay almost $500 to a repairman, that the Samsung customer service (who was rude) recommended, for a new ice maker for a refrigerator that I havent had for that long. I can purchase another refrigerator for that price (I mean its only been 3 years. My GE appliances lasted 10 years before I had problems with them). We even had a local repairman come out to take a look at it and he wouldnt touch it because he said that they are too difficult to work on and he also said that he has had several calls about Samsung refrigerators for one thing or another and that only a trained Samsung repair person would be able to fix it but they want too much money. And then there is the dishwasher that seem to always feel wet on the inside even when not in use and it has a smell that I cant describe. I am so disappointed in this product. The biggest regret of my life. So I am warning you Samsung may be good in the cell phone business but their appliances SUCK!!!! I should have just stuck with GE.

I have called numerous times to see if they could send someone out before Dec 9. The last time the technician was here over two weeks ago, he told us not to put much food in the fridge because it will just refreeze and go out. Recently purchased from Lowes a Samsung dishwasher (Summer 2018 Model). Original price, 599.00. Had it professionally installed. It is relatively quiet compared to my old one, however it will not dry the dishes. It does have a heating element, but no matter what cycle is on, it will not drain entirely, so when the heating element turns on during the drying cycle, it just heats up the standing rinse water left in the bottom creating a huge amount of steamed rinse water and saturating the dishes. If I hold down the start button for 3 seconds it will magically drain entirely, but manually completes the cycle so drying is off. WET DISHES. I hope the appliance engineers at Samsung go back to R&D school, and definitely need to stay away from Samsung Audio Video electronics. They will surely ruin the only good product in the brand.

Spent $7000 on all new appliances 6 years ago. Microwave went out 2nd yr. Dishwasher went out 3rd year, refrigerator on 5th year, now front load washer on 6th year. Will never buy another Samsung product. We are 68 years old, no kids so you know we hardly use products. Shame on their junk, nothing covered by warranties.

Their own authorized repair depot says they can put in a new water pump but wont guarantee it because my dishwasher is 2 farther to the right than is usual. That is, frankly nonsense. Theyve been here twice, then told me to hire a plumber to fix his mess. That cost another $185.00. They cannot diagnose the problem. With all the testing the steam peeled the laminate off my brand new cabinets. This dishwasher is nothing more than a money pit. My regular service man refused to service it saying that Samsung is garbage. No wonder it is so quiet. They may have well have put in a water pistol than that ineffective pump that is in there. I will never buy another Samsung appliance as long as I live. It has never worked. I stopped using it after the first week because the dishes came out as dirty as they went in, and has been sitting there for cosmetic reasons until I thought I might have it looked at. Now it just wont complete a cycle.

My wife and I bought the beautiful new dishwasher and from day one using it the machine doesn’t wash our dishes. If I could give this dishwasher a negative rating I would. It doesn’t deserve a 1 star. We’ve had 3 service calls where techs can’t find anything wrong with it once they run their diagnosis. The tech have given us advice on different types of washing cycles or soap to use and our dishes continue to come out dirty. We’ve even been hand washing prior to putting them in and still come out filthy. Samsung has been horrible to deal with as they just continue to say there is nothing more they can do for us at this time even though they understand it’s not washing. I would never purchase from them again as they do not stand behind their products. I’m not asking for much. Just a dishwasher that washes the dishes. Service ticket number # **.

Full disclosure, this is all on me. Now that Ive seen how poor their service is, Im looking at all these reviews, and thinking I should have done this prior to purchasing. But I digress, I bought $10k worth of their top of the line appliances in the new black stainless finish. Almost immediately, the ice maker is dripping water and quits making ice. Samsung sends a tech and first thing he says is that these units are garbage and that the $300 part that is broken after only a month will break every year, as long as I own it. Not exactly what I wanted to hear!So after months of back and forth with the worst customer service dept I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with, Samsung says they will replace the fridge. They send it via freight with delivery guys who have no idea how to install. So they tear the ** out of the old one, beat up my house, and ultimately cant get the new one in. So they leave me with the old one that is now beat up scratched all to hell, and not working. Samsung says no problem, well send another! What!?! What about the brand new one you already sent on the truck? And the brand new one you just trashed?? They couldnt care less.So I finally get Home Depot to replace the fridge, and then, while wiping the appliances down with a microfiber towel, a chunk of the finish comes off the range. So I call Samsung back and they tell me, No prob, well send a tech to fix. They set an appointment for the next week and I wait. Appointment time comes and goes and no tech. I call back, they say, We cancelled because youre out of warranty. Wait, these are only a few months old! Oh, yeah, I guess youre right... Ok, well send a tech. Cancelled.I get a supervisor on the line, and she says, It keeps getting cancelled because its cosmetic, and thats not covered under your warranty. So the paint can just fall off and thats not covered!?! So I get really pissed and she says, OK, well send a tech, but if there is any sign that you caused the paint to chip, then youre paying for it. Fine, agreed. Get an email the next day, Your service appointment has been cancelled. I am literally speechless...these appliances look great, but they are total garbage. But the company is worse. Save yourself a LOT of aggravation...avoid Samsung.

2 years ago my refrigerator went out on a Friday night. Because I needed a fridge right away, I ended up buying a Stainless Steel Samsung, French door with bottom freezer at Home Depot. It was the worst decision I have ever made. In the summer I have to buy ice because it does make enough. The handle on the freezer broke and to fix it, it would cost 600$ because they would have to replace the entire door. Then the cheap plastic pull out drawers cracked. Now the freezer has stopped working. I will probably end up having to buy another new refrigerator.

The dishwasher is fairly quiet. It has several wash options as well as a separate dry option. The racks fold down so you can put large or unusual shaped items in it. It is pretty but the stainless streaks more than I would have liked. All and all, it works good. I would recommend this dishwasher. Works better than others I have used. Fairly decent price for the quality you get.

Purchased this Samsung refrigerator two yrs ago. At 3 months old the motherboard went out and fridge was out for two weeks. Ice maker had to be repaired in the first three months as well as the seal and a broken glass shelf. The refrigerator has numerous dings throughout and looks terrible. The current issue is a broken ice maker, lots of water pooling in the refrigerator, and icing throughout the inside vents of the refrigerator. Horrible product. Samsung has not been very helpful throughout these issues. Now to contact them about the recent trouble.

I do homemade cakes for family and friends, each one I try to bake in this oven falls flat. It has been tested by Best Buys technicians, and I still have the same problem. I have to go to my sisters house, because I cant bake a cake in my own oven. Not one cake that I tried to bake has risen properly in this oven. The oven is peeling and rusting on the inside and there is stains on the glass doors that will not come out. I WILL NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE AGAIN!!! UNHAPPY CUSTOMER IN DALLAS.

I, too, am in possession of a Samsung refrigerator with a corroding door. The fridge is 3+ years old and the area below the ice maker is corroding. The refrigerator is black and the spot where it is starting to corrode is very noticeable and is embarrassing to say the least. Obviously it was a really bad design and the door should be replaced. The warranty does not cover the cosmetic issue but I feel this is a workmanship issue that should be covered and is a product that is deficient and Samsung should provide new doors. I have called Samsung twice who told me that I should call the retailer who I purchased the extended warranty from and the retailer told me to call the manufacturer. I will not make another purchase of any Samsung product and will not use the retailer any longer.

A few days later, the cooling stopped and we lost all the food in the refrigerator and freezer. Cause? Lots of ice had formed; the fan was hitting it, causing the noise. New evap. fan $256. I have the same thing that happened to other Samsung owners in the reviews. We bought a Samsung dishwasher a year ago at Home Depot. As soon as it was hooked up, it wouldnt work. Samsung called in a repairman and he said it was fixed. But dishwasher comes on automatically on the heavy cycle and does a dry run but doesnt shut off. Called in another repair man for the same problem and he said this is happening a lot. He put on three new parts. Washer worked for five days. Woke up one night and heavy load running on a dry cycle again with no load of dishes inside, always have to turn off breaker. Have to call repair man in again. Called Samsung number and always put in hold. This time for over 45 minutes until a guy told me that not many workers there on Friday afternoon. If they have that many complaints coming in, then must be something wrong with the company. I would suggest before you buy, call any appliance call the companys 800 number. If put on hold for a long time, dont buy that appliance. What do I want... A new dishwasher and cost to install and a staff available to customers to listen To all of us with complaints. If I bought a new car and it broke it would be fixed. If I buy a new appliance and it doesnt work as soon as I buy it... Well what would be a reasonable answer? Please need help!

Our Samsung dishwasher is three years old. The internal blower/fan has always been noisy, but we accepted it. However, both the upper and lower baskets have rusted through to the point that supports and wheel mounts have completely broken off. I contacted customer support who connected me with an official parts supplier. To replace the two baskets is a little more than $300. The exact same dishwasher is available to buy for $349 new.I think its crazy that two parts that should last much longer are almost the same price as purchasing an entire new unit. Since I now need to buy a new dishwasher, I am definitely not buying a Samsung. As I replace all my appliances, I will be researching other brands, even if they cost more. I was asked to participate in a customer survey, however the survey was to rate their employee in the call center. She was helpful and pleasant. The survey had nothing to do with the company or the product or my issue. Beyond disappointed in Samsung quality.

2500.00 wasted. Samsung would not repair/replace our 3 year old refrigerator that had compressor failure due to what they call physical damage. Micro holes in the copper lines to the compressor caused the compressor to fail. Samsung claims the sulfur in the air of our house caused the failure. The warranty is 5 years parts and labor, 10 years parts. They charged us 100.00 to diagnose the problem. We talked them down from 200.00 because we already had a repair man confirm the compressor failed. He stated that the copper lines are really thin and cheap. Samsung had to have their own people check it. We do have well water but it is treated and we never hooked up the water to the refrigerator. Samsungs recommendation to us was to coat the lines with a good paint to protect them. We did not have any issues with the Whirlpool refrigerator we had prior to this Samsung. Has anyone else had a similar problem? We think the warranty should have mentioned an exclusion for sulfur in the air and we think they should honor the warranty. We will not purchase Samsung products ever again, poor customer service.

We purchased a top of the line Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80H995OU5/AA. After less than two days of use, it would no longer complete a wash cycle and the door would not stay closed. Upon further inspection we also discover the rear panel of the cabinet was severely bent. After a call to the local dealer, he called back the next day reporting that Samsung would not let him service the machine, but only a Samsung Service Center. Samsung wanted two business days to contact the center to set the appointment. After some discussion they agreed to contact the Local Authorized Service Center (Remedy Appliance Service and Repair) while I was on the line. The Samsung Customer rep. disconnected the line without the connection. I tracked the Authorized Service Center down and offered to pay them to look at the machine. An Authorized Service Representative looked at the machine, determined it was not repairable. He took pictures and told us Samsung would call in one to two business days. They did not. I called Samsung, talking to several service representatives. My request was to remove the machine and return my money, as the machine worked less than 24 hours. The washer cost $1,600. I have now been on the phone with four customer service representatives including executive customer service. I have been told after further extensive processing, I might have my money returned in 14 to 21 days, however the process they describe is about four days, requiring further extensive time on our part. Just horrible service.

Just under 3 years ago I purchased an electric range for my elderly parents. The broiler heating element literally exploded in my 79 year old mothers face when she had the oven door open. After much research we discovered Samsung no longer manufactures the part needed to repair the unit. Before Samsung customer service would even discuss how to make this right they required us to have their preferred repair technician come out for a service call - at a $90 fee. We are still waiting to see how Samsung will compensate us but regardless we had to go purchase a new range so my parents can cook. Another bad thing is my entire kitchen has Samsung appliances and almost the identical range that uses the same broiler element. My kitchen is a ticking time bomb. Upon moving into a new home, I purchased a 4-drawer Samsung refrigerator. Its beautiful and has a lot of cool features, but within 6 months the ice maker was frozen over. I contacted Samsung and they sent a repair person (theres only one in my area). He walked in and without even touching the refrigerator indicated that he could replace the parts, but Samsung hadnt done anything to truly fix the issues, so it would break in another 6 months. It didnt last that long! Within the next 8 months, it would break 3 more times. They finally agreed to replace it after the repair person refused the job the final time. They led me through a long process of providing documentation and then indicated that they couldnt find a replacement (even though they are in all of the big box stores near me), so they offered me a refund. I accepted it and they led me on an even longer documentation process -- requested paperwork piece-by-piece (first the bill of sale, then a picture of the warranty information, then a scan of the sticker on the inside of the door...), indicate they didnt receive what Id sent and ask for it to be sent again; send the wrong form and after I call, send me a new form, indicate they didnt receive it and ask for it again... This continued until I wrote an email to the Executive Vice President. I was assigned a designated contact, whose title indicated she was in the Presidents Office, who was no better than their original customer service representatives. She only assisted when I initiated the contact and what was supposed to take 5-7 days, took over 2 weeks. Upon getting my refund approval, my designated contact told that Id receive two emails -- one asking for all of the information (ignore it, she said) and a second that would request my bank information to get a direct deposit. Amazingly, Id receive the first email repeatedly, but never get the second one. I now have to wait for a check to be cut. I have already been in the process for two months and am now told that it will be an additional 2 weeks to get a check. As the check is too large to put through my banks app, I will have to drive over an hour to the nearest branch. At the time Im writing this, Florida has just entered a 30-day stay-at-home order; therefore, I will be unable to deposit it for a lengthy time. Buyer beware! While Samsung appliances look pretty (my dishwasher is also a disappointment!), they are poorly made and their warranty is painful and designed to discourage you from using it.

Bought a Samsung side by side refrigerator when I moved into my house 3.75 years ago. Nothing but trouble. The ice maker actually still works fine (unlike other reviews); however, several shelves have broke and Ive had to order parts to replace. But the worst issue is at around 2.75 years the refrig just couldnt maintain cold - temp was above 50 degrees F. We had a control sensor installed ($375) and had to turn off unit for 3 days to defrost ice off of the fan blades. Refrigerator than 6 months later starts to not be able to hold cold temps again and temp is again above 50 degrees. But this time the digital thermometer read out on the door is showing that the temp in the refrig is 38 degree. Now were being told we need a new fan assembly (another $400). I could have bought a new refrigerator w/ all the money that has been spent repairing this hunk of junk. STAY AWAY!

We bought a Samsung RS275 side by side refrigerator in March 2010. From the start, the ice maker was completely inadequate and could not keep up with a family of four. In July 2011 water started accumulating in the bottom of the refrigerator and freezing the lower vegetable bin. We found that the defroster drain hole was freezing closed with ice, thereby not allowing the defroster to drain properly, hence it ended up on the floor of the refrigerator. I managed to extend a piece of copper wire into the hole (it was heated from the defroster heating coil) and that solved the problem for a couple of years. Keeping the hole open. The problem reappeared in the Spring of 2014 and weve been trying to fix it ever since. Also, the water dispenser line continues to freeze. I will never buy another Samsung refrigerator.

I bought a full appliance set from electronic express here in Nashville. I bought refrigerator, range, dishwasher and over the range microwave. I spent about $5,0000.00. The microwave right after working one year it just quit working. I called Samsung they sent a tech and he fixed it. After 3 months the dishwasher never clean right. We started cleaning the dishes before we put them in the dishwasher, but finally it quit working - even the dishwasher detergent was left on the dish. I called Samsung and they said it is over a year and warranty expired. So I am out of luck. So I am planning to buy Whirlpool dishwasher since that was the old one I had which worked for over 9 years without a problem. I replaced it because my wife want a stainless steel set of appliance. I am disappointed at Samsung - such a big company makes a good cell phone and tablet like Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note, make a bad dishwasher. Why do not let them stay away from this business and let Whirlpool do the appliance. I will never buy Samsung appliance at all...
