Well, here are my 2 cents worth - we also had our almost 2-year-old Samsung microwave SMH9187B start turning on by itself (baked potato feature). This has got to be a safety issue! Then, more and more, we got the SE showing up on the display. My husband managed to fix it a few times by taking the control panel apart and trying to protect it from what he figured was happening - oxidization of contacts whenever steam from the oven/ stove below got into it or maybe even if it got quite steamy inside the microwave. Now its definitely dead, though, and when he spent an hour on the phone to Samsung, they acted as if it was a problem theyd never heard of before and refused to do anything about it. I cant believe theyd ignore so many people with the same defective microwave.

We purchased our Samsung Range Model NE595R0A in August 2013. Two days ago we were boiling some eggs and were sitting at the kitchen table when we heard a loud sap from the direction of the range. When I went to investigate the cause of the noise we discovered the glass top had cracked from the front corner all the way to the middle of the back edge. I found Samsungs service number and spoke with a service guy who told me that this was not covered. I read the warranty and it stated and I quote Five ( ) years Parts Warranty For Glass Cooktop and Radiant Surface Unit. Unless I am reading incorrectly this should be covered. It seems that this is a manufacturing problem since it happen to multiple ranges. Very disappointed with Samsung.

Bought from HHgregg a Samsung stainless package 08/01/13. Delivered and installed it 09/07/13. Everything worked great for a year except the dishwasher (DW80F800 series with stormwash). This dishwasher was why it took a month because it was an upgrade to the one on order but was out of stock. This dishwasher sucks! Not only does it not dry dishes from the beginning when I got it; yes I use the jet dry liquid rinse aid, error messages now keep coming on even after repairman came and replaced the main board (which took almost three weeks of hand-washing dishes), it does not have a heat drying element. $700 piece of **, after reading all the reviews of the same thing happening with lots of other Samsung dishwashers. As one reviewer said, Samsung needs to stick to making cell phones!P.S. I now have another repair order for this 15 month-old dishwasher and if he cant fix it this time Im gonna insist on a re-select from hhgregg and get a more reliable dishwasher.... The fridge, range, and microwave work well so far but STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG DISHWASHERS! ...or anything they should make that requires water. God forbid they start making hot tubs!

It looks very nice and all features are wonderful. But every month the tube that goes to the ice maker would freeze and everything around and the inside top of the refrigerator had ice. They kept telling me I don’t push in the ice bucket all the way but I had never taken it out. Finally I had to take it out because every week it would do it I had to take a blow dryer and fix it myself. Thank goodness I don’t have that fridge anymore and got an LG.

Samsung Microwave SMH9187ST - I bought this microwave in January 2011 and paid $270. Last night, the microwave turned itself on for about 15 seconds, then displayed the dreaded 5E / SE code. This was one of the top-rated microwaves on consumer reports when I bought it. I have gotten more use out of microwaves that have cost 1/5 the price. This thing should last more than two years when you only use it a few times a week. I will have to reconsider Samsung products for my future purchases.

In the past two weeks my Samsung refrigerator has been producing ice underneath the freezer part and I have to defrost a refrigerator from the like the 1950s. My Samsung dishwasher went out and I had to replace it And my top loading Samsung washing machine went out. This is all taking place in the past two weeks and these appliances are less than three years old. To make matters worse my 55 inch plasma Samsung TV went out last night. Samsung needs to make appliances that will last you longer than three years. This is an absolute shame that you can sell your appliances to people and within three years they break down. Samsung needs to stand behind their products and make better products. I will NEVER recommend a Samsung again or buy another one of their products.

Bought the unit last 2014 and started using it when we moved into our new unit in July 2014. Within 2 years, stains and discoloration appeared on both doors. In April 2017, have shelled out 1k plus for a replacement of what they called sensor, cause my freezer is not functioning. In less than 1 year, as of this writing, March 2018, it malfunctioned again, cant produce ice cubes and the whole unit is not cold enough to cool a pitcher of water. The mechanic from their authorized service center, checked it up and gave me an estimate amount of PHP5,000 to replace a leaked hose etc. I will now spend 6000 plus for a unit that I have used only for less than 4 years. I would rather buy a new unit if I have an extra money, and if I do never would I buy any appliances from this brand.

I purchased a gas range on 1/1/2019 and paid $721 for it and that does not include the delivery, install and 3 year extended warranty. I have had a problem obtaining proper temperature since beginning. A service person came out and said there was nothing he could do and I could just change the temperature on my own. I believe the oven bake temp is correct after using the instructions in manual, but the convection oven temp is still about 25-50 degrees off. There is no way to adjust that. I filed another complaint after serviceman and just got a call from Samsung that it is my fault and there is nothing they can do. I got this stove mainly because it was a Samsung and it has a convection bake feature. Now I will not be able to use convection unless I want burnt or undercooked food. I am so angry. I have a Samsung phone, Samsung washer and dryer and a Samsung microwave. Never again. I will never buy Samsung nor will I ever recommend anyone else I know to make the same mistake.

We purchased the Samsung SMH9187ST microwave OTR from Best Buy in early 2010. This unit was one of the top-rated OTR microwaves on Consumer Reports. The oven has been very lightly used as we have a second microwave in the kitchen (a Sharp which is over 7 years old). Anyhow, 29 months after purchasing the Samsung, the keypad is showing the SE code and is basically unusable. As others have experienced, this is a known defect that Samsung should take care of but wont. I will be sadly buying another brand to replace this nice looking junk, but I would eagerly participate in a class action lawsuit against Samsung!

When we built our new house we decided to buy Samsung products at Sears. The first Samsung Fridge that we bought quit on the first day. This should have spoken volumes to us but we were too excited. The fridge was promptly replaced. We have had nothing but trouble with the fridge. Every 3 weeks we have to remove a significant amount of water from underneath the deli tray. Our ice maker will occasionally work and we cannot up or lower temperatures as the temp controls no longer work. Our strong recommendation if you are in the market for new appliances, especially a fridge, DONT buy Samsung. Youre simply buying JUNK that will be nothing but a headache for you!

I bought dishwasher as well as refrigerator and electric range in 2013. In 2014 the dishwasher started to have problems (the soap compartment wouldn’t open), so the technician came and replaced the whole dishwasher under the warranty. In 2015 the dishwasher started to malfunction again, the same problem. Another technician came in and replaced part under the warranty again. In 2019 the same problem occurred again. This time the first technician couldn’t replicate the problem. The second technician came in, and he said that it’s most likely intermittent problem, and it’s possible that 3 different parts should be replaced, and since the warranty run out, he doesn’t recommend spend the money on the unknown. I really appreciate this concept. When I called Samsung again, they said that the main circuit board under the warranty since it was replaced in 2015. But when I tried to call the company who is fixing the dishwasher, they explained to me that Samsung doesn’t extend the warranty on the replaced parts and everything goes to the original date of purchasing or replacement of the machine. I had a dishwasher for over 20 years in Massachusetts (not Samsung), never had a problem. Never will buy Samsung products again and wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. On top of the bad product, bad manufacturing warranty too.

The refrigerator seems great until the evaporator began freezing up at about 15 months. The repair person said this is a common failing with Samsung but we had to fight for months to get the problem resolved with Samsung eventually refunding the full purchase price after claiming it was not a warranty item and me having to read their warranty back to them word for word in order to seek resolution.

This is an update to my previous post on my 3 and 1/2 year old fridge that quit working. I filled out a form from the Samsung site on the issue with the fridge and got a stock *received* form type letter back on the 18th. There was no mention of repairs, how to handle the problem, or if they were going to do anything. When I was on their website, it said the fridge was out of warranty and when I searched for appliance repair dealers, I got 0 results back. After reading pages of complaints all over the web with the same issues (bad ice makers, and the cooling issue), we decided we would not throw good money after bad in trying to fix it. We bought a new top rated GE (which will be delivered next month as we wanted a very specific model) and on 12-23, Lowes hauled the broken Samsung off (to the dump I guess). After the fridge was gone, later that evening, we get a UPS delivery of an envelope with a generic return address. We have no idea who sent it, instructions, nothing but a part; a temperature sensor that plugged into something. So I google the address and find its a Sears warehouse. I call them and they look up the order number and say its a Samsung part. So, I get a temp sensor, no idea it was even being sent from Samsung who when I look at my account online with my complaint, says the action was cancelled by **me** on 12-18. To say this whole thing has been frustrating is a big understatement. In fact, I am not sure a new sensor would have even fixed the problem from what I have been reading all over the internet.

In October of 2012, we purchased a french door Samsung refrigerator, model #RF263BEAESR from our local appliance store. It worked well for the first year. When it was one month out of warranty, we started having problems with major frost build up in the ice maker, so much so, no ice would drop. Called Samsung and they told me I had to call a local repair service. I was not satisfied with this since IMHO, a one year old fridge shouldnt be having problems. I wrote an e-mail to the Executive Office of Consumer Support and got a phone call back in days. I explained the situation and told them I would never buy their products again. They offered us a one time service accommodation. A service tech came out, identified the problem as a problem with some sort of heater unit and replaced it. The fridge worked okay for 4 months and guess what, its happening again!!! Called Samsung again and threw another fit and told them it wasnt fixed so they offered yet another one time service accommodation. This time, they replace the whole front control panel and some sort of heater fan in the ice maker. If these problems persist, Ill be asking for a replacement fridge. FYI, people having problems and your fridge is almost new, DO NOT call a service repair person. Call Samsung and ask to speak to Executive Consumer Affairs. Tell them the problems youre having and your dissatisfaction and ask for a service accommodation, theyll set you up with a service call and you wont have to pay a penny.

Purchased early 2010, in the first years had to call for service two times. So when close to time when 1 year warranty would be expiring, got a phone call wanting to know if I would like the extended warranty. Usually dont purchase, however with 2 problems early on figured I should. Purchased 2-yr. extended warranty and so glad I did because within that period had two problems per year. When that warranty period was getting close to expiring, I didnt get a phone call or email to get another extended warranty. So I called to purchase another. But guess what, our refrigerator wasnt eligible? Wouldt tell me or my husband why not? But pretty much figured it out that they knew we had a lemon and didnt want to offer us a warranty anymore. However, between my husband and myself calling and talking to multiple people, we finally got the right person and she authorized us purchasing a second extended warranty but of course this 2-year warranty was almost double than the previous 2-year warranty purchased. But it was so worth it because we have already had one service call during this period. Wish we would have qualified for a new fridge, but the problems werent the same within the time frame required to get a new one from Samsung. Moral of story - if you have a problem within 3 to 6 months of purchase, you are probably in for more issues. Keep good records. You might qualify for new one from Samsung. So to recap... Purchased in 2010 and have had 8 service calls, 2 extended warranties. Will not purchase another extended warranty and if it has an issue again after current extended warranty expires, we will most definitely chuck it.

RS265TDRS - We have been monitoring the refrig temp for a week because the liquids seemed cool but not cold when the temp was set at 38 D.F. and the display monitoring inside temp when you open the refrigerator door always read 38 D.F. Lowered the temp to 34 D.F. And monitored the refrig for two days. The display always says 34 D.F. on the outside when you open door but the thermometers we put inside have been well above 44 D.F. for two days and as high as 48 D.F. Thermometers placed in a full glass of water inside the refrigerator overnight indicate a temp of 45 D.F. Temp of tomato sauce in frig also above 45 D.F. Putting same 2 thermometers in freezer set at -4d.F. indicates a temp of -3 or - 4 D.F. We are waiting for service and the temperature is now well above 50 D.F. and yet the display that shows the supposed temp in the refrigerator says 36 D.F. when you open the door which is what the temp is set at. The safety issue is not only there is a design defect that causes the coils in the refrigerator to freeze up but the sensor that lets consumers know what the temp in the box is sending false and misleading temp readings allowing people to think their food is at a safe temp when in fact it is not. Still waiting for service and now the refrigerator is at 60 D.F. and the display is reading 38 D.F. when you open the door. This may go on for days, weeks and even months for some consumers before they realize that they have been eating spoiled food. Samsung needs to acknowledge design flaws that allow the digital temp display to show normal safe temperatures yet in the refrigerator temperatures are 10-15 degrees f. higher. There are many consumers who have been ripped off and played Russian roulette with food, health and safety because the refrigerator coil freezes, the fan stops working and the air temps in the refrigerator rise unknowingly to the consumer. If you own a Samsung refrigerator you may have been eating spoiled food for weeks, months or forever if you are not aware of this problem. Calling for everyone on the www to let Samsung know that their negligence in this matter will not be tolerated and consumers will get justice, satisfaction and restitution for the full purchase price including removal and destruction and recycling of all the defective Samsung refrigerators.

The absolute worst dishwasher I have ever used. Wish I had never bought it! No matter how the dishes are arranged they never all come clean. At least 1 out 4 are still dirty. I now have to soak all the dishes prior to putting them in. Soaking the dishes does not guarantee that they will come out clean. Additionally you will have to clean the area where the water drains each time you use it to prevent Black Mold from growing. If there is a Samsung product in the next home we purchase we will ask for an appliance credit and tell them to take the crap with them. NEVER BUY THIS DISHWASHER!!

I purchased 3 appliances on February 6, 2015. They totaled over $5000. Today, 6 days out of warranty, the water dispenser stopped working on the refrigerator. We have done everything that needs to be done - according to the manual - and it still is not working. I called customer support and 3 times was disconnected. I finally reached someone and felt I had to speak fast or there would be another disconnect. Each person had my phone number and no one called me back. I went through all of the same things I had done before the phone call. When they realized I was 6 days out of warranty, they tried to sell me an extended warranty for $400 +. I said that was absurd so they said since I was a good long term customer, they would send me to their executive support department (or some similar name). I am now sitting with a very expensive refrigerator that does NOT dispense water. I have spent the last 2 hours trying to fix this and am very fed up with Samsung. I will NEVER purchase another product from this company again and I have been a long term customer. Another thing, it is very difficult to understand most of your customer service people. There is a disconnect for sure. I was NEVER given a confirmation number, NOTHING.

Samsung induction electric range model #NE599N1PBSR - almost immediately this stove top was causing grief. Purchased in Spring 2014 before summer I had placed a call to Samsung to report the problems. I was appeased by the customer service person who declared it was my pots. I had purchased very expensive induction pots and the problem still persisted. I had induction pots as soon as I bought the appliance. I thought they might be inferior. It has continued for 2 years with no solution. Samsung has no record of my problem. Over a month ago Samsungs repair person came to investigate - has been 6 weeks, no callback, I have placed 3 subsequent calls, no callback. I spoke with Samsung today... they have no record, and cant do a thing, they will NOT honor warranty even tho the first complaint was lodged before the expiry of the warranty - once again they have no record of that call. Shame on Samsung. Elements wont work, oven shots off, at best I can use 2 elements at one time. I bought 4 Samsung appliances that day and already had the dishwasher serviced also. I had a 7 year old Samsung refrigerator that froze up completely in the back which stops the fan and then the refrigerator does not cool. Had it repaired 3 times in a month. Problem kept happening and I pretty much didn’t have a working refrigerator for 5 weeks. Finally the repairman told me the whole cooling system had to be replaced. The cost would be at least 1200.00. I wasn’t going to put that much money into a refrigerator that was over 7 years old. I thought this was just bad luck and went out and bought another Samsung refrigerator. 2 years later the exact same thing is happening and I’m going through the same thing with the Samsung Repairman who keeps coming in to fix it and two weeks later it happens again. Now I find out doing my research that this is a common problem for Samsung refrigerators and there are two class action lawsuits against them. Because the refrigerator is less than 5 years old the main cooling system is still under warranty, but Samsung doesn’t want to admit that that’s the problem and replace it. Customer service is not helpful at all and they really don’t care how long you have to go without a refrigerator. Besides this problem the inside of these refrigerators are made like crap. All the shelves on the doors have cracks in them and all the wheels on the drawers have snapped off. I will never buy another Samsung product again, unfortunately it was a very expensive lesson to learn.

Refrigerator is three year old and cost about $2000. Last week the evaporator fan (inside of the refrigerator) started getting noisy. After looking online and discovering that this is a common issue I contacted the support people at Samsung. I received a canned response that said it could be caused by lots of things. They recommended that I unplug the refrigerator for 24 hours to let the evaporator thaw and for the ice to melt. If it happens again Im supposed to call for a repair appointment. We had to move all of our contents out of the refrigerator to let the evaporator thaw before we could get the cover off to clean out the drain. I bought Samsung refrigerator two years ago. The door shelf broke three times so far. The first two times refrigerator was under warranty so Samsung provided free replacements. This is side by side refrigerator and it has water dispenser. The water is constantly dripping from the water dispenser. Also it has a very slow flow. It also has ice maker, however, whenever you try to get ice, it just spills all over the place because the opening is too wide. Very poor design and quality. Samsung tried to sell extended warranty. I told them when this refrigerator dies I am towing it to landfill and I will never ever buy anything Samsung. This is an extremely low quality refrigerator that was selling for $1800. I also have Samsung microwave. Do I need to tell you that the microwave door broke in less than two years? It was the plastic hinges that are again very brittle. $200 to fix (50% of the original purchase cost). Shame on you Samsung for being cheap and using cheap brittle plastic parts.

This company is the worst company to deal with as to warranty issues. Absolutely the worst company in the appliance business to deal with if you have a problem. They only say no. Do yourself a favor. Buy a different brand. You cant speak to the same person twice. They transfer your calls all over the world. They lose the documentation you send them, tell you one thing then renege. The glass top ranges develop cracks then they tell you its cosmetic. I had a GE glass top range 15 years and the top was still perfect when I got rid of it. Run from this company!!!

Purchased a Samsung dishwasher August 2013. From the very start it did not clean well. I have to scrub the dishes and utensils in order for them to come out clean. They could not help me resolve that problem. August 2014, dishwasher would shut off after 2 mins. Had to have the EC Sensor replaced. I did research and found that this is a faulty design that Samsung should address and fix! Samsung has POOR customer service. They do not respond to messages left, by phone. When you do reach an actual person you can figure on spending at least an hour per call and still you will not have had any resolution to your problem. They do not follow up in a timely manner in getting a local repair company dispatched to your home. They do not let you know who they have dispatched and when they are coming to your home. After many hours of dealing with Samsung, on the phone, they would not give us another dishwasher. So we are stuck!! We went ahead and purchased the extended warranty today seeing that we have already had two major issues with this machine in less than a year of owning it. We will be using that warranty quite a lot.

We purchased the Samsung 30 slide in electric range manuf. March 2021 from Lowes and it was delivered Oct. 2021. The burner has twice inadvertently turned on by just bumping the front dials. In both cases there was something on the stovetop that CAUGHT ON FIRE. This happened once to myself and another time by a contractor working in the kitchen. Researching, I found two videos on Youtube that documented similar events. Since the stove has been in place over three months, I cannot return it to Lowes and I have spent many hours unsuccessfully getting assistance from Samsung. This has been a problem with Samsung stoves, apparently for several years. Please, for your safety, DO NOT BUY.

DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!! The water dispenser on my Samsung refrigerator makes a stuttering, jack-hammer noise. Removing and replacing the filter and bleeding the water line takes care of the problem - for about a week. Then its back again. 4 calls to Samsung, hours on hold, only resulted in them suggesting that their authorized service contractor, Service Quick, come out to look at the problem - AT MY EXPENSE. I was even told by one Samsung customer service rep that they had never had this complaint before. Really?? Google Samsung Water Dispenser Problems and you will see DOZENS of complaints!

I bought a Samsung refrigerator in 2010 from Sears. August 2012 the cooling system stopped working. I knew it was a failed compressor. It took ten days to get a service repairman to come out and replace the compressor. He was from A&E Factory Service. He tried to bill me and I showed him my 5-year warranty. It was resolved. Several months later, the cooling system stopped working. I called Samsung. A& E was scheduled to come out in a week. They never showed up. They had given the tag to Tekniton who when I called denied they had the service tag. I spent 4-5 hours making calls, being put on hold, transferred before finally Samsung sent a repairman out that day. What was the problem? A&E failed to weld the tubing shut properly. The coolant leaked out over time. Once again they tried to bill me. Once again I had to go through channels to clear up. Here it is February 14, 2013. Guess what? My refrigerators cooling system has failed again. I contacted Samsung for a repair. They tried to tell me that I was going to be charged. Once again, I had to remind them I have a 5-year warranty. Now when will this service person show up? How many times will my service tag be passed around? Never will I buy any Samsung product again. I have been a consumer of major appliances for 40 years. I will not buy anything labeled Samsung.

The refrigerator is new and has been working very well. We purchased this refrigerator on sale and it was delivered and set up. It has an ice maker that makes chipped and cubed ice, and makes more ice than you can use. It has filtered water in the door. It has a bottom freezer drawer that holds a bin for the ice cubes and a lot of frozen items. It has separate drawers in the interior of the refrigerator that are separately cooled. So you can keep your beer at a certain temperature while you watch the super bowl. It is a charcoal color and looks nice. The only thing I dont like is the lights of the control panel are blue behind a black panel and makes it hard to see when you are trying to order water or ice.

The freezer portion works fine but not the fridge area. I would caution Anyone even considering this fridge to run like the wind to another brand. Samsung refuses to acknowledge what every service technician has told us and that is that many models of their refrigerators have a serious design problem that results in constant buildup of ice under their crisper slide out drawers. Aside from the time and mess in chipping away the buildup and the numerous expensive service calls that do not seem to correct the problem... Samsung customer service agents hold fast to the 1 year warranty and refuses to admit that this is a serious problem and that as a worldwide company that they should admit their fault and keep customers happy. BUT THEY DONT AND APPARENTLY COULD CARE LESS. So no more Samsung Refrigerators or Appliances for me. Updated on 08/02/2018: It has continually built up of ice, under the ice maker every 5/6 weeks. Have notice partially melted ice in the storage bucket, in which it jams the ice dispenser. Either I use a hair dryer to defrost or chip the sheet of ice off the ice maker. To free the ice out of the ice maker bucket I run warm water through it. Have updated the motherboard, and replaced the ice maker twice. With one new revision, that has a physical square rectangle water intake housing. None of these parts fixed my problems!Original review: I have a Samsung Refrigerator model RF263BEAESRAA purchased on 6/13. Ice seems to build up on bottom of ice maker & also around ice dispenser rod to the point in which itll freeze solid & will no longer dispense ice. Every week Im having to dump out semi-melted ice out of the ice jammed dispenser & ice thats build up thats located under the ice maker. Having replaced ice maker, motherboard, auger motor & fan assembly. Its still doing the same thing as far as ice building up.

We bought a Samsung model RF28HFEDBSR refrigerator through Home Depot for the princely sum of $ 2400.00, in May 2014. From day one the unit has made a super annoying, loud buzzing noise when the refrigerator part cools. We contacted Samsung repair and the operator had us hold the phone near the refrigerator so she could hear the noise. Wow, that doesnt sound right!, she said. Samsung sent a repairman from Willowset TV who arrived 3 hours late. He said the RPMs of the fan were normal but was not competent enough to diagnose the problem. Did I mention he reeked of body odor? Now we lie awake at night listening to a sound like a weed whacker coming from our new refrigerator. We are disgusted, to say the least. Called Samsung again yesterday and they said they would send another repairman. I asked where he was coming from and the operator said, Monterey, you live in California, right? No, I answered. We live in Connecticut, as I have told you three times now.

We bought all 4 kitchen appliances in black stainless steel. The ice maker plugs and is annoying but the real damage is the microwave. It starts without any intro action. Fan comes on full blast. Research says unplug and then plug it in. It only helps for a few hours. After researching I have found hundreds of reviews with the same problem. The door has been replaced in some reviews but it doesn’t solve the problem. Calling Samsung so far hasn’t helped.Since our warranty is up it is up to me to find a tech in our real area. So far no luck and so how do I get parts? And what good is a new door if it is going to do it again? Samsung knows of the problem when you go to their site for repair it directs you to immediately unplug because it is a fire hazard and go to customer support. The circle begins again - no tech, no part, and I have a unplugged unusable microwave. Samsung should be doing a recall they did one because people were being shocked. Isn’t a fire hazard a reason for a recall?

Model RF266AEPN, french door model. Purchased spring 2011. At four years old had to be serviced for the ice dam at the back of the refrigerator causing the fan attached to the evaporator to be compromised and sound as if the refrigerator was about to blow up. The repairman warned me that this was a common problem with Samsung and tried to sell me an extended warranty. I declined. Unfortunately I should have listened because six months later its the same old problem. Today after viewing loads of YouTube videos and reading the commentary I have no doubt this is a widespread problem with every type of Samsung refrigerator including side by side and bottom mount. The suspected causes for the malfunction range from the temperature sensor, to the heating tube around the evaporator coil, to clogged drain, to bad relay switches in the computer module, to poor software. Knowledgeable people seem to fix the problem only to have it occur again. Also made the mistake of buying a Samsung above the stove microwave that makes enough noise that I wonder if it too will blow up on me.

Though they were Samsung certified, they were not warranty work certified and they were supposed to report back to Samsung. Waited a long time on hold, Samsung said their recommended company did not report back. Waited on hold a long time, and Samsung cant schedule a warranty company to fix this for another five days. I not only dont recommend this product, but I also would suggest that you avoid Samsung products altogether. We purchased a dryer with matching washer and have had multiple problems with them. After six technician visits we still dont have a fully working washer or dryer and to make things worse they have told us we need to pay if we want another technician visit. I sent the following email to Samsungs supposed executive customer relations department as well as directly to the Samsung US CEO, it was completely ignored by them.Up until just recently I have been a huge fan of Samsung products. I have owned or currently own monitors, mobile phones, washers, dryers, and TVs. I have been a loyal customer but my most recent purchase has me awestruck. About four months ago we purchased a SmartCare VRT laundry set. The day after it was installed we woke to find our home with a strong smell of gas. I determined it was coming from the laundry room and suspected the laundry appliance installation was at fault. We called Samsung for service and a technician was sent out. The technician investigated the gas leak and informed me that the gas lines to our new home were leaking and not one of the Samsung appliances. I called the gas company and when they arrived they found that there was a gas leak, but it wasn’t in the house lines. It was coming from the dryer. We called Samsung a second time. When the technician performed the second appointment he acknowledged that the dryer was leaking and scheduled another appointment to replace the faulty part. Three visits from the Samsung technician and finally we get a working dryer after two weeks. A few months later my wife started complaining about the washer stopping and throwing an error in the middle of hot water loads. After it happened a few times I told her to call Samsung for repair. The technician came out and spent about thirty minutes with the washer. He eventually called me in and told me that it has hot water and that there wasn’t much he could do. I informed the technician that when my wife pointed out the issue I recalled an error message “4C” being displayed when the wash would stop functioning and constantly beep with the error message. After basically living with a washer that won’t use hot water cycles for a couple of weeks my wife noticed that the dryer wasn’t drying clothes normally. We called Samsung again and informed them that our washer was still malfunctioning and now the dryer was not working well either. This time before the appointment I spent a couple of hours recording video on my phone of the 4C error and erratic behavior of the washer. The next day the technician arrived and spent about fifteen minutes with the dryer. The technician informed me that we shouldn’t use specific features (smart features like auto dry) on our dryer and that we should use timed dry. I was told that although the dryer had some warmth that there is heat so the dryer is working fine but at no time did the technician check the temperature with, how does he know if it’s getting up to proper temperature? Yeah, the dryer gets warm but not hot, in fact not even close to hot. When I mentioned the washer and show the technician the video of the malfunction, I was told it wasn’t on the work order and even though we called for service for it and had video of the malfunction that it could not be looked at because it wasn’t on the service order. Tonight, I followed the technician’s instructions and used the time dry to dry a handful of clothes. After one hour the clothes on high heat with eco dry turned off the clothes were still quite wet. The dryer clearly doesn’t work as it did a month ago. The technician also recommended cleaning our ducts but seriously it’s a six-month-old home and my wife does maybe three loads a week for two people, so the equipment is hardly being overworked much less should I have a duct problem. I also noticed that my wife is very good about cleaning the dryer lint catcher. She does it every load from what I see. I hate to ramble on but as you can see this has been nothing less than an adventure and a complete waste of my time not to mention the time off from work involved in six technician visits that didn’t result in our appliances being fixed. I recently posted all this information to the Samsung Facebook page and it was completely ignored for a week which is simply insulting at this point.

I purchased your Samsung refrigerator model no: RSG257AARS/XAA, back in Dec
I purchased your Samsung refrigerator model no: RSG257AARS/XAA, back in Dec. 2013 when I bought my first home. While I am not customarily someone who uses ice in my drinks, there are certain beverages wherein I do use ice, such as with a soda or a cocktail. But for water and or juices, I do not require ice and as I rarely drink a soda or have a cocktail, I cant say the ice maker on my unit has had much use considering I am a one person household. This little to no use of the ice maker is potentially why this problem with the ice maker/dispenser did not appear until July 2014. I first noticed this problem when I discovered a large white shaving of plastic floating in a glass of Coca Cola. It was the size of a coconut shaving and so I removed this remnant and secured it into a plastic zip lock bag. Obviously, I disposed of the drink.I then examined the ice maker machine and mechanism, removed the ice bucket etc. and discovered there were dozens upon dozens of plastic shavings sitting in the cavity of freezer below the ice bucket. Upon further examination I discovered areas on the left and right sides of the plastic housing wherein it was obvious the rotary blades (auger couplers) had literally shredded into the plastic housing and it was quite clear from the magnitude of the scratches, shavings and debris that this was a serious problem.I first received service to repair this problem in July 2014. However, the repair took nearly 4 weeks to conclude, two home visits, shipment of parts, and I had no ice available to me in that time. Moreover, I greatly needed ice to medically treat an injury. Thus, the repair was more than an inconvenience. While the repair included some new parts and a new ice bucket, after the repair, I was hesitant and nervous to use the ice cubes for drinking and would look in each glass of ice. Then just a few days ago (20 Oct 2014), I found a SHARP solid chunk of white plastic floating in my Coca Cola. Again, I removed it and secure it in a zip lock bag for evidence. Upon examination of the unit, I now find that the plastic housing under the ice bucket is again being impacted and hit, only this time the scratches and scrapings are now at the front of the housing rather than on the sides. To make matters worse, on the evening of Oct 21st, I observed small white tiny powder like particles, sitting on the outside stainless steel dispenser tray, which indicates I have been ingesting and drinking micro particles of plastic. I have obtained a small sample of this particle by pressing my finger down onto it and then scraping this fine particle off my finger into a zip lock bag, but it is so small and fine that one could literally not pick it up any other way. It would be like trying to collect a single grain or flake of salt.As of late, I have been enjoying one soda a day, in place of eating a desert, and have been having more iced drinks than usual. Again, this draws me to the conclusion that if only this ice maker and dispenser had had normal American household use, this problem would have most likely occurred immediately. At this stage, my main concern is my HEALTH and how my body has been affected by ingesting micro fine particles of plastic used to make an appliance. To be honest, I am more than upset by the gravity of the situation and I find your customer service to be sub-par. In my opinion, this unit is DEFECTIVE IN DESIGN. Any refrigerator that starts dispensing plastic for a HUMAN TO EAT AND INGEST SHOULD BE DEALT WITH IN AN APPROPRIATE MANNER, and does not even fall within the scope of an ordinary repair.I can no longer trust this appliance to provide me ice! In addition, I will never again use it for drinking ice. NO WAY! NEVER! No matter how you repair it or pretend you did, it is obvious that the METAL BLADES are able to make contact with all edges of the plastic housing and therefore will ALWAYS HAVE THE POTENTIAL to feed me plastic.Next time I see my doctor I will consult with him on this matter. In the meantime, feel free to send me the chemical composition with which this plastic material is made of and I will give that to my doctor. Alternatively, we can send samples to a lab and then I will bill and or sue Samsung. I am outraged at this situation! Period! The fact that you are again going to send me a service repairperson who has NO experience with this SPECIFIC problem is ridiculous. Moreover, two Samsung service repair technicians told me they had never heard of this problem. So all you are doing is putting a Band-Aid on this situation, waiting for the manufacturer warranty to run out so that you will not have to contend with it. So yes, I am outraged. I will never again buy Samsung. In closing, I am attaching photos from last July showing evidence of the plastic shavings and impact to the housing. The current plastic particles are to small to photograph and while this is the same problem, the particles in fact are completely different now in shape and size. In fact the smaller particles and this current situation is way worse because I cannot VISIBLY see the micro-particles in a drink, making this a blatant health hazard. Please review the photos carefully! I would like this case to be escalated and dealt with by your upper management.

Samsung Dishwasher does finish washing - stops at delicate cycle. We bought this Samsung Dishwasher in 2014 because we were remodeling an whole house. We moved in December and I used the dishwasher at Christmas. In 2015 probably around the 7th month the dishwasher would not complete a cycle. We had purchased insurance from Lowes, so we called for service. The technician came out and fixed the problem by adjusting the control panel. Six months later, same problem. Called Lowes they have a contract with A&E Services (worst company you could deal with). It took about a week to come out. The tech came and said we need a part (a latch) in which I knew this was not the problem. He said he would order the part and be back in two weeks. We all know it doesnt take that long for a part. Nevertheless, I waited. The tech came installed the part, started the machine and then left.Sure enough, the problem was not solved. I have been waiting over two weeks for them to come back. They pretend they would be back the same day but never showed but they schedule me two days later. Never showed. Called A&E and they said they were having technical difficulties and could not reach anyone. This went on for two days. Called this pass Monday and they schedule me for today, August, 25. The appointment was for a.m. but I called and they said I would be his last appointment. He probably won’t show. Lowes said they would give me 40%, which would only be about $240. or so. We spend 600 because it was on sale. This dishwasher has not been used a lot. Very disappointed in all three companies.

Purchased new refrigerator ($2800.00) at Bill Smith Appliances in Port Charlotte FL. Short power outage after 14 months generates error code that requires a service call. After contacting Samsung, giving them all the information, Im told to call a FL repair service that will have a ticket generated by Samsung. I call the service, Im told they will call me back soon and two weeks later I finally receive a call. In the meanwhile, I have arranged for a private repair service, but Im not sure they know how to fix this. We are back in SC after wintering in FL, trying to get this piece of junk fixed from afar is difficult. Bottomline is I have seen enough of Samsung. Please, buyer beware!

Called Samsung technician to repair leaking refrigerator. Every time it went into defrost mode it would leak water, a little when I first purchased it, then much worse. Refrigerator is nearly two yrs old, so is out of warranty. I am a retired Engineer, so did some reading and found the problem to be a smaller than required heat sink (Samsung calls it a drain clip). This heat sink is suppose to keep the defrost drain from frosting up. Took technician 30 minutes to replace this part with the correct size. Per tech, he gets a lot of this work. Here is my problem, should a company like Samsung be charging the consumer for their design flaw? The cost was $173, part cost was $10 dollars.Called Samsung ECR (Executive Customer Rep), explained that this was not a repair or a fix, but a correction to a design flaw. I thought Samsung would want to stand behind their product, but all she would say was that it was out of warranty. The model # RF263BEAESP/AA. There must be thousands of these out there with this known design flaw. I hope this review helps someone if they are looking for a new refrigerator. Needless to say, I wont be buying any Samsung products in near future.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher at Lowes and had it less than 24 hours when it started flashing Heavy. When I called the company, they said that it meant that it was improperly installed & I had to have a tech come look at it. I called Lowes & they said that if it already was giving me trouble, not to bother with a tech and to return it. The Samsung tech wouldnt give me any information as to whether it was electrical, plumbing or whatever. After reading on the internet I realized it was the product, not the install. It is a piece of junk that is an electrical malfunction nightmare!

I purchased this Samsung refrigerator (RF217ACPN French door model; bottom freezer drawer) in January of 2014 at Lowes but did not get the extended warranty. First, there was water in the crisper and not thinking much of it, I would just clean the water up. Then this past Easter weekend, the unit started making an awful noise. Being a holiday weekend, I could not get anyone out to look at the refrigerator. By Monday, the noise had stopped. Then on Mothers day then it stopped cooling but the freezer still works. So I called around locally for a repair person and was informed repeatedly that they would not work on the unit - reasons were no training available or couldnt get parts. I then called Lowes who in turn tried locating a tech for me several times with no luck. So my next step was to contact Samsung and over a two week period, went through the same thing of setting up repair dates and being called back and cancelled by the service companies. Finally started with a return authorization this pass Monday with Samsung - a prorated buy back. Only to be called yesterday and told that the buy back was stopped because there was indeed a repair tech in my area that would work on the fridge and Samsung, set it up for next Monday the 9th. Well today, there was a voice mail from the service company saying that they would not work on my unit. So I called Samsung 1-800 number again and informed them of the latest development and ask that the return authorization be restarted. Now, they are saying that they will not do a buy back because the refrigerator is not unrepairable. Well, if no one will repair a broken appliance then in my thinking, it is unrepairable.

This a wonderful Refrigerator. Lots of room and very strong door shelves. One holds a gallon of Milk and a gallon of Pickles at all times. There is truly an abundance of LED lighting. I also enjoy the power cool and freeze features. The only thing that is the slightest of issues is its very hard close the freezer door quietly in the middle of the night. There is a pretty loud click when it locks shuts. My wife says Im nitpicking. I probably am.

I purchased a top-of-the-line Samsung dishwasher in August 2013. By September 2014 it started giving me an IE error (heat) code. I had purchased the extended warranty from Leons and they directed me to call their provider Transglobal Service to have a technician come and check out the unit. We had to make an appointment to have someone come and look at the unit... AND take a day off work as they dont make service calls on the weekend. When the technician came a week later, he was at our home for all of 5 minutes and said he had to order a part. (We had told him what the issue was... Why doesnt he have parts to fix this in his vehicle??) It took another 10 days for him to come back and we had to take another day off work to wait all day for someone to show up. From start to finish it took 4 weeks to have the unit fixed... This was right around Thanksgiving. The unit worked for about a month, and we started to see the IE code yet again, just in time for Christmas! We have now been without a dishwasher for 4 weeks again, and the technician is coming today to fix the same problem. I am thankful that there are only two of us at home, and we arent a family of 4 or 5 and this isnt a fridge or stove that has the issue. The level of prompt customer service received is totally unacceptable. It simply doesnt exist. If the unit breaks down again, Im going to start haunting Leons stores and speak with people who want to purchase appliances there and tell them of my experience. So disappointed in this product, but more in the lack of care the service company seems to have for the appliances they supposedly fix. Not happy...

Samsung Refrigerator model RF267AABP/XAA - I purchased this refrigerator in 2009. Within three months, the icemaker began to give trouble. I called for repairs and was forwarded to some service agent who never called. This occurred on two occasions. On my third call, I was sent to another service company who wanted $175 to replace the ice maker. Needless to say, the warranty had run out by this time, and Samsung refused to warranty the product, even though I was in contact with them within the 1 year warranty period. I also have had issues with Samsung hard drives I purchased for my office, and all failed. I also have a laptop with issues. I have recommended to my family never to purchase another Samsung product.

Very convenient to use, however the buttons that are on the front side seem to be a bit of problem when you get up against them, the oven lights starts up. Also, the stove control buttons are a bit confusing as they have temperatures on both sides of the button for two of the ranges. One if for low temperatures while the other is for higher temperatures. The oven is very convenient and cools very efficiently. Not a bad price for a range. The simpler the better!

I have a french door refrigerator, model RF197ACWP, that was purchased 6 years ago. In the past 2 years we have had it worked on for collecting water in the crisper drawers and water and ice on the bottom shelf. We have spent over $600 on repairs and the problem continues. I have read many reviews now with the same issue. Over the past 2 months, through numerous phone calls, I have spent around 4 hours on the phone with Samsung, trying to get some compensation. I have been giving inaccurate information, transferred to the wrong department, hung up on, put on hold and never returned to, been spoken to in a rude way and many other discouraging encounters. It felt as though they were purposefully trying to shake me from pursuing this issue! I have never felt so disrespected by a company. The last thing they told me is that I will be reimbursed part of the cost of the refrigerator, but they have not followed through on any of the steps yet, which they told me would be weeks ago! I am so discouraged by the product and customer service. I guess I will now be looking into signing up for a class action suit or whatever else can be done.

I purchased all Samsung appliances after remodeling the kitchen. I did not do my homework and purchased my appliances based on the name. Wrong thing to do. My microwave worked about 14 months and then it had the SE code. I called Samsung and they would not fix it as it was out of warranty. I had it repaired myself. The repair lasted less than 2 months when the microwave quit and the SE code appeared again. So I have used for the past 3 years a reliable counter top microwave while I have the Samsung microwave over the oven and it does not work. Sad. I also purchased the refrigerator, side by side with ice and water in the door. The refrigerator just like the microwave started making this awful noise. It over freezes things no matter the setting. The ice maker quit, and again Warranty so Samsung says its my problem. I thought this was a quality company with quality merchandise. Please read the reviews and do not purchase Samsung. I could kick myself for not purchasing Kenmore. That was what we replaced when we remodeled. Our Kenmore Side by Side Refrigerator was almost 30 years old and still worked. Never had a problem with it. My sister took it for herself after we replaced it with the Samsung and three years later it is still running great. I am very upset and totally dissatisfied with my Samsung purchases.

According to the owner manual the first it happen it was still in warranty. The repairman came out and replaces a sensor box on the side of the washer. The second time it happen about a year later my husband took the sensor box off and replaced it. It wasnt under warranty. We cant afford to call the repairman. The last time I took everything from the washer and ran a couple cups of vinegar through a cycle and it has worked fine until this time I tried to run the washer again with vinegar but it didnt work. I will never get another Samsung appliance again. We also have a refrigerator that has some problems but thank the Good Lord it still works. The model # for the dishwasher is DMT 400RHSAAX. I dont do a great deal of baking, but mostly casseroles, meats, etc. I believe baking cakes or cookies would have tipped me off earlier that the oven wasnt heating right. Over the last few months I noticed that it was taking much longer than usual for the food to cook. The oven was set at 400 degrees but I could hold my hand in the oven and it only felt warm. I am going to buy a new oven and you can be sure it wont be a Samsung. Due to the pandemic, we again use it since August but the unit was already DEFECTIVE. We filed a complaint thru the Samsung website but they only accept queries for their digital units. There was even an option in their website to complain to the Samsung CEO, from which I did, but to no avail. We are also in touch with the local service rep of Samsung since the the first week of September, paid a big amount for parts and service but the unit is still DEFECTIVE! Please help.

Dec 2014 when I bought my two-door SAMSUNG inverter refrigerator with 1 yr warranty of service and 10 years warranty of compressor. Im a bit happy of the long term compressor warranty without thinking the possible reasons why they are giving warranty that long. After two years, the compressor had to replaced since its not functioning. Since it has warranty so its free but I still spent around 6k for the labor and other parts needed. So, after the repair the equipment is again functioning very well, but just recently exactly after two years after the repair same problem encountered - the compressor is not functioning and what shocked me about is the estimated cost I have to spend. I need 9k excluding the compressor since its free. OMG. Why do I spend that much when I can use said amount to buy new one. BUT NO TO SAMSUNG! NEVER. The first ref I had lasted for 19 years (other brand)-without any repair. I just disposed it since I wanted new one.

I purchased a home 2 years ago and it had a newly installed Samsung over-the-range microwave installed. After only one use, it suddenly stopped working. The seller told me he got it at Lowes and so I took it back and they exchanged it with no problem. This microwave lasted about 18 months and started giving us the SE code. I got online and read all the problems these units are having. I tried unplugging and holding down certain buttons with no success. I am an electrician so I decided to just take it apart and see if I could see the problem. I had read about a connector that was the problem on one post so I started there. Be sure to disconnect power before working on it. After you remove the 2 vent screws and remove the vent, then take out the one screw that holds the keypad in. On the back of the pad there is a blue plug with one blue wire on one side and 2 white ones on the other. I disconnected this plug for about 30 seconds and plugged it back in and it started working now. I will see how long this will last.

I bought my Samsung refrigerator in 2013. I paid nearly $2000 for this and thought it would last. WRONG! The bottom freezer would ice up and leak constantly. Then Dec 4, 2015 the freezer part just stopped working, ruined the food I had. I called Samsung and their answer was to call a service tech that I would have to pay for. I just left it alone as I had a deep freezer. Just hoped the fridge part would continue to work. Well as of today February 2, 2016 it has quit as well. I again called Samsung and no kidding was on phone for over an hour only to be told Too bad. Sorry for the inconvenience but we are not fixing it. What a crock! I have had cell phones which are Samsung last longer than this refrigerator. So off I went to Lowes, bought just the plain Jane side by side for 856 by Frigidaire. We bought Samsung everything! From 2013-2015 we bought a stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer and none are now working. The refrigerator stopped making ice and when it was working we would have plastic pieces in our cup. After getting it repaired and paying the fees for them to come out and repair it 5 months later, the whole fridge doesnt work. It is no longer cooling or freezing anything and along with thousands of dollars down the drain for this refrigerator, hundreds of dollars on food is also gone.We also bought a stove and the oven is no longer working. We use it as storage. The washer we bought was no longer spinning the clothes. So we replaced it with another product. The dryer who knows when that will stop working. I thought Samsung was a great company and their products would last long, but this is the worst thing to be wrong about. Thousands and thousands of dollars down the drain. Now we have to buy new appliances. Their customer service is no help and unfortunately we didnt read any reviews.
