$700 dishwasher started acting up 9 months after purchase. Kept shutting down before going through full cycle. Dishes were very dirty. We called for repair since they would also be there for the second repair on the microwave (bought at the same time). A circuit board was replaced and lasted 4 months before breaking down right before July 4th barbecue with 80 people. I spent the next couple weeks talking with various people. 3 times made it to their executive customer relations level. Was sent two emails confirming a one-time repair as we were now out of warranty. Received a final call informing me they have no one to service the machine, I was out of warranty and they would not service, despite previous agreement to service. So what happens when they sell extended warranties at the point of purchase, if they have no one to service the product? I called an independent service company. They advised me not to have it serviced. States Samsung has chronic problems with their circuit boards. To quote, They make great phones, they should quit there. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance. I spec products for kitchen renovations. You can be sure they will NEVER be on my list!

I would like to register my deep discontent how Samsung Appliances handled my order delivery, when I bought the delivery date was Sept 9th, then after 2 days I got a notification from a 3rd party company, XPO Logistics, saying they will only be able to deliver on Sept 10th, then 1 day before they called and postponed to Sept 20th. On that day they postponed again Oct 4th. So Ive been leaving in my house without a refrigerator since then and the worst is that they have the refrigerator in the warehouse but cannot install it because they are overbook or whatever. So please you CANNOT TRUST on Samsung delivery dates and customer service.

Ive purchased over the range microwave in May 2010 and in October 2011 (17 months later). The SE note came on the screen. The cost for a technician to come out was $75. This did not include the part or labor to fix it. I went out and purchased another brand of microwave and will never purchase another Samsung item.

We bought this dishwasher February 1 of last year and it failed February 3rd of this year - two days after the warranty expired. I am absolutely furious in part because it barely lasted 1 year and that I just mailed my last payment. Samsung support was absolutely no help other than to contact a local repair person. The repair people graciously offered me a price of $150.00 to diagnose this POS plus parts. Japanese companies used to be committed to quality but obviously not when it comes to appliances. Id love to send this unit to their corporate headquarters with a letter telling them exactly how I feel about their product. We also purchased a refrigerator at the same time and as you can imagine, Im praying its made better than their dishwashers. I now have a beautiful piece of junk. Ill be looking for a different manufacturer and will NEVER buy anything Samsung again. This is my first and LAST purchase of their products. Ive been looking at their televisions but considering this purchase I will pass. SHAME, SHAME, SHAME!!!

We bought our Samsung fridge in Dec 2014. In June 2018 we called Samsung 6 times because our ice maker stopped working. Nobody would call us to schedule an appt to come and fix it. We had to have it repaired for by ourselves (was told no one will work on warranty repairs on Samsung because they take too long to get their money from them). Now a year later the refrigerator side of the unit is completely out and not working, and we are going through the same thing all over again, no call backs from Samsung’s warranty repair people in our area. I had to move all my chilled items to a cooler and to my old garage Whirlpool fridge that is over 12 yrs old and it still works great, even in the summer heat in FL in a garage. I will be buying a Whirlpool again this weekend. Never again Samsung! They need to stick to making cell phones because they suck at making appliances, and their customer service stinks and reputation sucks!

Broke within the 1st year, a stuck float. Got it fixed, float got stuck again but this time out of warranty. My husband has had to pull the dishwasher out to fix 3 times in 4 years! If it actually cleaned dishes I wouldnt be so royally peeved but this dishwasher doesnt even clean dishes. Every load I am soaking dishes with dried on stuff and I rinse my dishes before putting them in. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG DISHWASHER!! Or refrigerator for that matter. That is another discussion but their refrigerators are awful too!

My less than 5 year old Samsung range, model# NX58H5650WS caught on fire when I used the self clean feature for the first time. Within 15 minutes the oven started emitting white smoke. Then flames appeared. Had to call the fire department to come and pry the door open to put out the fire, since the door locks automatically when the self clean feature is turned on. They claim this is a safety feature. Not so sure. I couldnt put out the fire myself. This was a gas range and was afraid of an explosion. I will never ever buy another Samsung product. My Samsung refrigerator, dishwasher and now the range are all lemons. I bought the service contract for 5 years and the servicemen have been out to fix the refrigerator and dishwasher at least 10 times. But the range took the cake. I almost burned down my house. Very upset as to how these appliances can be sold. Had to put a $10,000 claim into my insurance company so that ServPro could come out and get the smoke damage and smell out of my house. Beware of these cheap Samsung appliances. If I could give these products a zero star rating I would.

I will never buy another Samsung product again! The high-end dishwasher stopped working after three months! They gave us a run-around about the warranty. They tried to say it was an electrical issue and would not send a repair person out until we hired an electrician. The electrician we hired verified it was a bad control panel and not our fault. They finally sent out someone and they confirmed. They were supposed to come back in two weeks to install the new part. We have called over 20 times and Samsung does not return phone calls and claim they will help and then do not respond. They have horrible customer service. We were warned that they never stand behind their warranties, but we bought anyway. Big mistake on our part! We will never buy Samsung again! Please do not make the same mistake we did!

However, they want the serial number sticker and they want me to cut the power cord. After speaking to them a few times, I cant trust them. I need to know that this will be refunded before I buy a new one. Does anyone have the office of the presidents number?

We had a service man out before the warranty expired and he said it was working fine. It does sometimes but not always. It can work one time and next not maintain a temperature. The third party repairman supposedly fixed the ice maker advising this is a known problem but Samsung continue to put these products on the market - this should be a crime - this is so unfair to the consumers - I am going to write write write and talk talk talk until someone stop these defected refrigerators from being purchased - how many complaints do they have to receive? Bought in April of 2010. The display broke and had to be replaced. Two of the adjustable milk holders had to be replaced. They cracked and filled with moisture. Then this year, it started making loud humming and grinding noises. The Samsung repairman was here twice and said he couldnt open the drain. So water keeps accumulating under the drawer and leaks down on the fans and they hum and grind. It is so loud it wakes us up at night. I cant even have company without having to go outside. OK, when the ice maker drops ice, that may be a little louder. My last refrigerator was a Westinghouse and it was over 13 years old and still worked. Boy did I make a mistake with this one.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator freezer two years ago, I have had nothing but problems with the refrigerator side. It would not keep the frig side cool, I called Samsung for a repairman and it took them forever to come and check the frig. So I called a repairman...he came over right away and fixed it for me. He told me that these Samsung refrigerators have this recurring problems, where they ice up and I have to defrost them every month. I even replaced a part that cost me over $50.00 and didnt help and it did not. The same thing keeps happening. Every time I call Samsung they give me the runaround. I also purchased a Samsung washer and now it is starting to give me problems. It will give me a DC code...it means that the load is off set.

After getting the SE message on my two-year built-in Samsung microwave, I did some research and saw how someone said to clean the ribbon on the display panel. Well, I was too afraid to mess with the control panel so I placed a service call in. The tech came and I told him what I read so I asked him to remove the ribbon or membrane and then reconnect. Sure enough, the thing started working right away. I spent $100 on service call. So I hope someone else can use this information. So next time, just remove button panel and unplug ribbon membrane and reconnect.

Samsung said they have no one in our area to service us, to contact Lowes and they will find someone. Lowes did, and an appt scheduled. Stainless Steel French Doors w/ Bottom Storage and Ice Maker - We moved into our home 2 years ago (June 2016) and we were very happy that the stainless steel appliances came with the house. Shortly after the Ice Maker stopped making ice; we also did a YouTube video on how to reset the Ice Maker. To make a long story short, after two other repairs costing over $500, and purchasing a new ice maker, the same problem with the ice maker has happened. Oh I didnt mention all the loud rumbling noises every time you used the water dispenser.Today, June 7, 2018, after a week of no ice, and scheduling a repairman to come out (diagnostic fee of $100 non-refundable, nor applied to cost of repairs), the repairman cancelled after finding out it was a Samsung with Ice Maker problems. He informed us of the lawsuits. We called Samsung to no avail. We have to use their contracted repairman who does not work for Samsung. Very dissatisfied at this time.

Lights went out in Control panel on door almost immediately after purchase (service person made some adjustment that lasted a while and then it went out again, next service call we were told it was not covered under warranty). Unit started freezing up under deli tray while water leaked into the veggie bins, one ice maker would freeze up, the other poured water out of the door flooding the floor on several occasions, and of course it was out of warranty by this time so we finally had the ice makers shut off. It continues to leak water underneath the unit so our beautiful Samsung refrigerator sits in the garage so we dont have any more floors to replace. Samsung knowingly and without accepting responsibility continues to sell theses defective refrigerators to consumers without regard to the hardships it created both financially and emotionally. These are not warranty issues, it is defective design flaws. We are very disappointed and dissatisfied with Samsung and our Samsung refrigerator.

Finally when the technician came he told me that my NEW refrigerators compressor does not work and needs to be replaced, and the process takes from 3-5 business day. So I called Samsung to ask for help since all my good has spoiled and I need to keep ordering food for the entire family, including our 3 years old child and Samsung said just to keep the receipt. Purchased 6 new Samsung Appliances in 2016 at Lowes. All top-of-the-line black chrome. The dryer is currently sitting in the garage with a bad drum assembly. I pick up a 10 year old Maytag for $50 and its sitting in its place working fine. Every 2-3 weeks I defrost the Ice maker in the fridge with a hairdryer I now keep in a kitchen drawer. The dishwasher quit last night for the 2nd time in a year. (Not counting the 6 times Ive had to reboot the power to get it to turn on). Microwave has been installed 3 times since its been in the shop twice. Double stove door fell off once and has a dent in the corner...good news is Ive not actually had to service it yet. Updated on 05/20/2019: I have already sent a note about them. They sent a technician to fix my refrigerator and he couldn’t. He said he was not trained to repair this product. This was the fourth repair person that has been here to try and fix my refrigerator. None of them could fix it. The dates were 3/2/ 18, 3/16/18, 3/30/18, & 5/18/19. This person states he wasn’t trained to do this type of repair. I was supposed to get an email stating that the events of Sat., 5/18/19 were unsuccessful. From Samsung. No email. I called them and they wanted to send yet a fifth repair person. I feel they’re trying to run the warranty out. I asked them to replace the refrigerator. I also asked is it fraud when you attempt to sell parts to a consumer that they don’t need, in the amount of $349.18. The technician I hired said “I am glad you didn’t buy those parts because you don’t need any of them.Original Review: I have had two of these refrigerators and they both broke in a short period of time. The first one stopped cooling Christmas time, about six or seven months after purchase. I bought it from hhgregg, who was absolutely unprofessional and didn’t know their product. I finally called Samsung after hhgregg gave me the runaround for two months. Samsung said they would have replaced it because the compressor, which went bad has a 10 (ten) year warranty. Hhgregg dissolves my five (5) year warranty to replace the refrigerator. Samsung sent repair people when the second one stopped cooling last Jan. 2018 - it took until March and three different repair persons, and they tried to charge me $350.00 to fix it and it was under warranty, nor did they replace the food I lost, $80.00. I just paid a repair men and found out the part they wanted me to pay for wasn’t needed and my fridge is still under warranty.Theyve finally taken responsibility to do a repair after someone not associated with them told the truth. It’s been leaking Freon for over a year and may need to be replaced but, theyre going to try and fix it. I am so sorry I ever spent $2600 for this item. They absolutely need to go back to the assembly line, and they know it. I would advise anyone who’s looking for a refrigerator to shop for a product that’s made in the U.S.A.

In September 2009, I purchased the whole 9 yards of Samsung. I purchased the microwave over the oven, the oven, the dishwasher and the refrigerator - costing me a total of $6000... Last year, I replaced the microwave, and I learned my lesson and purchased the extended warranty. The only OTHER issue I had which is MAJOR and a reason for me to probably bring my business elsewhere, as I will never say never buy Samsung again, is my refrigerator RF266ABRS, 26 cu ft stainless steel French door with the bottom freezer. The first problem I had with the freezer was within the first year I had purchased it - the ice maker was not making ice into cubes but into chunks. They had the technician fix it in no time. Then in March 2013, the freezer was giving us a negative reading of -2; however, when I unplugged the freezer and plugged it back in, it then said 34 degrees. No wonder all my food thawed out and ice was melted. So we called. Samsung said if it’s a sealed system issue, then it will be covered. They set up a transaction number with Va Electronics, who called me and said I had to pay $125 for diagnostics. After kicking my feet, I finally paid, as they could care less. I spoke with the technician as he stated, there is a slow leak causing only my fridge to be cool but not enough to cool the freezer. I asked if the leak should happen again. He said it shouldnt for another 3 years, so okay...I went about my business for 95 days until I opened the freezer to notice all the food had thawed out again!!! So I called Samsung. You name it. I’ve spoken with them, from Krishonda, Boris to Allison. You name it. I’ve spoken to them and every department. Yes, they gave me the roundabout... Hahaha... I was beyond frustrated; I was in tears and handed the phone off to my husband and told him to speak with them. As I was going back and forth with Samsung and Va Electronics, both saying two completely different things and saying, well, ask Samsung and ask Va Electronics... Eventually, someone needs to own up to this defective product that we, as consumers, are initially paying anywhere from $1900 to $3000 to begin with. It makes you think twice when it is time to purchase a new one. Overall, the experience I am dealing with Samsung and Va electronics is leaving a bad taste in my mouth, but it makes me grateful to know that, compared to their customer service, I am like a GOD at what I do. Thanks for doing a bad job. :)

We purchased the door-in-door, Samsung, side by side refrigerator in November 2016, from Best Buy. We are extremely happy with the larger refrigerator with easy access to beverages. However, the ice maker and water dispenser are the worst. Not only is the ice maker very loud but it ices up and needs to be removed and cleaned out constantly. Also, there isnt any easy access to the ice from inside the door when you need large amounts of ice without taking the unit out. Even with these small problems, the overall reaction is that this was the perfect refrigerator for our family.

Unit is now 2 years old and the ice maker compartment hasnt worked right. During the first year we had a rep out to work on it. Its a good thing we bought an additional 2 year warranty thru the store. Weve had that check out 3 times now. He replaced the fan, sealed the ice maker from the fridge, now has replaced the whole ice maker compartment. Next step would be computer controls. The biggest problem is that once the ice tray is filled it grinds up half of the ice cubes. I said its the auger design... I have 3 other Samsung units, washer, dryer and dishwasher no problems. What up?

I recently had problems with a 5 year old Samsung refrigerator. To my surprise, most repairman refuse to work on Samsung appliances. In fact the first three turned me down and the forth said unfortunately he works on them. After hearing all of them tell me about how bad they are and referred to them as money pits, I decided to cut my losses. I have never run across a product so berated by people in that industry. The sad thing is everyone still pushes them instead of standing up and refusing to sell.

Samsung French Door refrigerator is junk. Model FR 28HFEDBSR/AA with ice and water through the door, as soon as the warranty expired, the ice maker stopped working. It would freeze up, stop making cubes. We replaced the expensive water filter every 3 months instead of 6, but melting ice/water would constantly drip from the water dispenser, creating a puddle outside the door. My husband repeatedly takes the ice maker apart, defrosts, cleans, and reinserts it. After 24 hours it makes a few small cubes, works for a week, then freezes up again. Biggest waste of a lot of money ever!!!

I thought the oven/range would be really good because Samsung is well known brand- for keyboards. Oven light stopped working in less than a month, followed by the convection fan. Most recently I discovered the “Samsung” etched on the stove was actually stickers that wiped off one by one as I cleaned. Oh and the indicator light that lets you know the stovetop is hot, sunk into the panel and I can’t retrieve it. The oven cooks unevenly, but the range cooks well. No complaints about the stovetop really.

Just too angry to write right now. I will edit it later. Ice maker is totally junk. The freezer ices over constantly and I have to empty it into a cooler while I remove all the parts of the freezer to scrape and clean them. The slides freeze up as well and it is hard to open. Shortly after that the weatherstripping between the French doors started to tear and so did a part of the gasket on the top of the freezer drawer. I was cleaning the right pull out clear plastic drawer and to get to the spot where things collect, I pressed gently and the whole front broke and fell off ($75 to buy a new one). From the start the customer service has been terrible. At first they had no record of me buying it, and after I scanned and took a picture of it with my phone and sent them in they either said they could not read it or never got it. This went on so long it was passed its warranty. I have never been treated so badly from a company I paid a lot of money to for a fridge and got ZIP! I went through a similar situation with my new Samsung washer that was recalled and I could not get the same replacement so I had to get a smaller size and I was told the soap drawer would have the updated roller bearings and it does not. No response from Samsung or Best Buy for that matter. Never buy a Samsung appliance again!

The Samsung Fridge (RS2630SH) came with the house. We moved in June 2010. The house is only 3-4 years old. The fridge started making loud squealing noises. I followed others advice and greased the compressor motor fan. It would not make noise while the repairman was here. Six months later, the freezer froze up with ice. Luckily, we purchased a home warranty, and they fixed it. Then, the freezer fan is squealing. He was able to grease that out as well. Now, the freezer was freezing up again. Its something about the defroster cycle not working. I had to get a new motherboard. Also, the ice maker stopped working, and I had to replace the ice-making unit. This is a bad product. I checked the class action lawsuit, and my model is not covered. But I think that anyone who has been having these many problems, and there are so many people out there, we should also be included.

I explained the problem of streaks in between the glass on the door first he told me that is normal... I disagreed then he told me to put water in the door. We bought a higher end Samsung dishwasher at Best Buy on Black Friday, 2013
We bought a higher end Samsung dishwasher at Best Buy on Black Friday, 2013. It was delivered 12/9/2013. It ran once through all cycles and dishes were dirty. Ran it again and it stopped and started blinking (many complaints say the same). So, we called Best Buy right after the new year to ask for help. Their one month warranty was up and further repairs were to be covered under Samsungs warranty. Well, two service calls later, they have to order a whole new computer panel. This is insane that an out-of-the-box dishwasher is defective. Called Samsung to ask for a replacement, and they denied it and said they will wait and see what the next replacement part does and if the issue is resolved. I will NEVER buy any Samsung product again and will hire an attorney to get my $700 back. This is outrageous that I have had to miss work 2 days already and now a third time? I would avoid Samsung products at all costs. AND, local repair parts retailers do not stock Samsung parts--they have to be special ordered.

Have had 2 repairs done, and $800 later its no better. It will be going out on the front lawn in about 2 weeks, as I think thats all the life that is left in her. Many of our friends have has the same issue... not sure why there hasnt been a recall on any of the parts that we had repaired. Try Googling issues with Samsung fridges - and the first thing that comes up is fridge icing over... hmm... I detect a theme here. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG FRIDGES!!! They blow...

I called Samsung customer service to find out what I can do for my stove that displays an error code and will not work. I was told by the rep to unplug it then plug it back in. I did that and it still wouldnt work. I was referred to another department that tried to sell me a service plan for almost $300. That I cannot afford. I cant believe a stove less than 2 years old has this many problems. All I can say is buyers beware. Dont spend your hard earned money on this product if you are not prepared to shell out more money 1+ year later. I had an old stove that was purchased in the 60s that was so reliable. This is a downgrade from that. They should be embarrassed with this inferior product. I hope this review can save someone else from the frustration I feel.

Ice Maker:The ice maker constantly freezes up and requires that you defrost
Ice Maker:The ice maker constantly freezes up and requires that you defrost or chip ice out every month or so. This is a flaw with how the ice maker is mounted and does not create a sealed compartment, allowing warmer air from the refrigerator section to enter the ice making space. Touch Screen:My first fridge came with a broken touch screen. It was active but the touch did not work all the time. For whatever reason they could not obtain the part so they RMA-ed (Return Merchandise Approval) my refrigerator and replaced with the same model -under warranty. The second refrigerator came the same way. This time they were able to obtain the part using a third party repair company and the screen was fixed. Apparently the first screen had a broken connection that the technician was able to see once he removed the part. He suspected the connection was possibly broken during transport and explicitly installers holding/carrying the door by holding the ice dispenser region. Apparently there is a flexible piece of plastic that pushes up into the screen. I recommend for anyone with this refrigerator to take extra precautions not to move the fridge by holding the ice maker region. Applications:When I first got the refrigerator there were several useful apps (including: AP News, Pandora, a recipe application, weather bug, google calendar, etc) with the indication that more apps were going to be coming in the near future. No new applications have come. Weather Bug stopped working 2 years ago. AP News just went off line. Pandora and recipe apps just disappeared one day. To make it worse many people on the Samsung site have been trying to get a response about the applications and Samsung never responds. My opinion is to stay away from any Smart-screen Samsung refrigerators: they are only a novelty that Samsung does not seem to support.

Samsung 3 door model RFG298AARS 29 cubic feet advertised capacity - Purchas
Samsung 3 door model RFG298AARS 29 cubic feet advertised capacity - Purchased Feb 2, 2010. Works fine even the ice makers one on top and one in freezer drawer. Last year after 4 years the plastic on the door shelves, track, and mounting frame for the drawers began to crack and break. So far I have replaced 2 door shelves, the flip up section of the meat drawer, the frame with the glass top for the drawers and the frame bracket due to cracking and breaking to the extent that is not functional. These replacement parts have cost almost $300 so far. The 29 cubic foot capacity is measured wall to wall and does not take into account that the shelves do not go to the walls on sides or back greatly reducing the capacity of the refrigerator. I also find it difficult to clean with all the nooks and crannies. Spills work into the frame of every drawer or shelf and cannot be cleaned because that part does not come apart. I expect a refrigerator of this caliber to last nearly a lifetime. That does not appear to be the case here.

I have a french door refrigerator, model RF197ACWP, that was purchased 6 years ago. In the past 2 years we have had it worked on for collecting water in the crisper drawers and water and ice on the bottom shelf. We have spent over $600 on repairs and the problem continues. I have read many reviews now with the same issue. Over the past 2 months, through numerous phone calls, I have spent around 4 hours on the phone with Samsung, trying to get some compensation. I have been giving inaccurate information, transferred to the wrong department, hung up on, put on hold and never returned to, been spoken to in a rude way and many other discouraging encounters. It felt as though they were purposefully trying to shake me from pursuing this issue! I have never felt so disrespected by a company. The last thing they told me is that I will be reimbursed part of the cost of the refrigerator, but they have not followed through on any of the steps yet, which they told me would be weeks ago! I am so discouraged by the product and customer service. I guess I will now be looking into signing up for a class action suit or whatever else can be done.

Bought from HHgregg a Samsung stainless package 08/01/13. Delivered and installed it 09/07/13. Everything worked great for a year except the dishwasher (DW80F800 series with stormwash). This dishwasher was why it took a month because it was an upgrade to the one on order but was out of stock. This dishwasher sucks! Not only does it not dry dishes from the beginning when I got it; yes I use the jet dry liquid rinse aid, error messages now keep coming on even after repairman came and replaced the main board (which took almost three weeks of hand-washing dishes), it does not have a heat drying element. $700 piece of **, after reading all the reviews of the same thing happening with lots of other Samsung dishwashers. As one reviewer said, Samsung needs to stick to making cell phones!P.S. I now have another repair order for this 15 month-old dishwasher and if he cant fix it this time Im gonna insist on a re-select from hhgregg and get a more reliable dishwasher.... The fridge, range, and microwave work well so far but STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG DISHWASHERS! ...or anything they should make that requires water. God forbid they start making hot tubs!

Where to begin: the clear plastic fronts of all of the door shelves cracked and fell off. Some door shelves simply fell out and broke as well. The center deli drawer sticks requiring serious pulling to get it open. The hinges for the cover for the deli drawer broke at the pivots which are built into the refrigerator. The cover also fell out and cracked. Our house is not air-conditioned. When the temperature gets into the 80s, the refrigerators control computer does not like that and the control panel blinks on and off, turning on and off all of the functions (upper ice maker, lower ice maker, crushed ice, water) and the temperature control randomly switches as well. The lower ice maker fell off after a few months. Samsung would not help. I engaged a private repair company who indicated that they had seen that happen before. A few weeks after he replaced the ice maker, it broke again. The repair company indicated that they would not/could not guarantee any repairs on the Samsung refrigerator. At this point, there is no lower ice maker at all. Upon several occasions, the upper ice maker flap jammed open. And as other reviewers have mentioned - Samsung customer service is about the worst one could imagine. In all, the terrible experiences that we have had with this refrigerator have given us one clear path forward: NEVER, EVER purchase any Samsung refrigerators!!!

Refrigerator works fine. Water filter cartridge needs to be changed every 6 months. Thats okay too. But SAMSUNG refuses to provide information on what to do to recycle the used filter cartridge. I dont want to reuse it; I just dont want to add more plastic to landfills. Some other refrigerator manufacturers tell you how to empty used cartridges and recycle the plastic. SAMSUNG wont. I tried online search: no usable results. I tried online chat: they connected me to a Printer Expert for crying out loud! So we purchased this refrigerator on May 29, 2017. We were so excited about this since we had done a lot of homework and research and this seemed like it would fit our needs. After delivering the refrigerator we noticed that the ice maker was noisy but what the heck, this wasnt a deal breaker. Then the fun really began. On October 12, less than 4-1/2 months later the ice maker went out. They came out promptly and replaced the ice maker with a new one and everything was fine UNTIL February 22, 2018 (again around 4 months later) the ice maker quit working again... So another technician came out and told us that the refrigerator needed to be exchanged. He gave us an exchange number and told us someone would call us within 24-48 hours. (I have learned to HATE that comment). We waited and no one called so I called the company service department and they asked me for some numbers off of the purchase ticket. They told me that they were waiting on this information in order to expedite the exchange. My response was why didnt you call. Anyway, I gave them the information they were looking for (we had purchased the refrigerator at Sears). Samsung informed me that they would call me back within 24-48 hours. Guess what. They didnt. So, I called them again and asked what the problem was now. They informed me that they were waiting on more information and that as soon as they had it they would start processing the claim. This has been going on for almost a month now. Thursday 3/8/18 I turned it over to my husband and he contacted the NJ office and was told that we COULDNT get a exchange but we could get a refund, minus the sales tax and that they would respond in (wait for it) 24-48 hours. We never received a call so I called them back today on 3/13 and was informed that they had it in the file and I explained to the first person that I didnt want a refund, less the sales tax because I couldnt replace the refrigerator with that. She informed me that she was sorry, seriously, who cares. But I told her that we needed an exchange and I wanted to speak to her supervisor. She came back on the line and told me that she could give me the refund PLUS the sales tax and I informed her that I could not replace the refrigerator for that. I asked to speak to HER supervisor. Let me say that it is almost impossible to speak to a supervisor of any kind. These people have a script and they do not deviate from it. I was finally able to speak to supposedly a manager who simply stated the same thing she was sorry but they couldnt do an exchange but she could get me back my sales tax plus the purchase price.I told her that I didnt want my money back because I could not replace the refrigerator and it wasnt my fault that it was a LEMON. She again went through the Samsung Party Line and I told her that I wanted to talk to her supervisor. She told me that she was it and I explained that I then wanted to speak to the person that SHE has to answer to. Guess what... She told me that no one could do anything better than this BUT if I wanted she would have someone return my call wait for it in the next 24 to 48 hours. Hmmm. What are the chances. Just some food for thought here. I have never experienced such horrible Customer Service in my life. Very few of the people speak English and it is almost virtually impossible to understand them. They absolutely refuse to let you speak to anyone else and just continue on with Im sorry and I can help you with that, but they can not help me so why do they continue to do so. It is the most frustrating experience and it will literally make you crazy. I totally refuse to give up and if necessary I will contact the media outlets AND social media to get this resolved... This is absolute BS.

I have had the Samsung SMH8165ST microwave for just over 3 years now. Approximately 1 month ago, microwave started beeping, wouldnt shut off. I got the SE error code. Tried unplugging and recycling which did not work to clear the code. I checked online and found out it is a very common problem with these microwaves due to moisture. An over the stove microwave should be designed to handle being over the stove. I called Samsung regarding the issue. Initially they told me that I would have to pay for the repair and labor. I informed them of the hundreds of complaints online. They finally agreed to change out the control panel, saying they KNEW it was a problem, and that there was an extended warranty, should have said that upfront. They set me up with a service repair company. Of course they tell you they will call you the day of the appointment and let you know when they would be coming, took over a week. I took the day off from work not knowing what time the tech would arrive. Tech arrived to install the panel, they had ordered the wrong panel/part!!! No apology, nothing, like my time is of no value. Waited an additional week to have them return, same story with will call you the day of for the time of the appointment. Tech installed the panel, microwave worked for approximately one day, went to use last night, started, then went totally dead, no power, nothing!! I called Samsung and told them what had happened, they were of no assistance. Said because it is not indicating an SE error, that I will now have to pay for the parts and labor! Unbelievable! I own Samsung TVs and washer and dryer. Pray that they dont have a problem. I will NEVER purchase a Samsung product again. And I will never recommend a Samsung product to anyone!

I bought my Samsung refrigerator as a four piece package from Home Depot. Ice maker freezes up and needs to be defrosted every few weeks. Now the entire unit needs evap fan cover assembly, temp sensor, bi metal drain tubes and drain heater. The entire unit is poorly designed. The repair service calls it job security. This is a $500.00 cost. I cant afford to get the heating unit for the ice maker so Ill continue to defrost it on my own.

Samsung microwave (SMH8165W), manufactured in July 2010, SE code - After a little over a years use, this microwave no longer works. SE code just started beeping and flashing on the display without even being used. Unplugged and re-plugged, this did not correct the problem. This was purchased new and professionally installed. I will never buy another Samsung microwave.

Samsung RF267AERS - We have the same problem countless others have had: water/ice pooling under and behind the deli and fresh food bins, as a result of the drain tube freezing up and not allowing proper drainage to the pan somewhere below. Samsung is staffed by a bunch of ignorant, talking heads who will tell you theyve never heard of this problem. If youre out of warranty (our unit is in the 3-4 year range), they will offer you something called Rescue Repair for $400 (at least, thats what they quoted us). This would be a great class action suit for a law firm because there are so many people who would love to join. Im very disappointed with customer service in America and these obvious issues of quality control/manufacturing defect should not be ignored by the manufacturer. Samsung will no longer be a consideration for future appliance purchases.

I completely re-did a kitchen in our little weekend house and outfitted it with a Samsung SMH9187ST microwave. Since it is a weekend house, the microwave doesnt actually get much use. The microwave was new in 2010 and is now a little less than 2 years old. I got the dreaded SE error code back in the early spring of 2011. It worked for a few weeks during the summer, but Ive had to keep it unplugged (due to the error beeping) since September. Ill try a replacement board that Ill install, but Im very disappointed with this product. Probably, it will be my last Samsung appliance. My $59 microwave from Target has worked great for years.

In July, I purchased a Samsung range and microwave and took a chance on the dishwasher. What a mistake! Absolute piece of junk! From day one, my husband complained about the racks. There is no light that tells you the dishes are clean, and the dishwasher turns on when youre unloading it. Sears took it back today. Gave me the Bosch for a few $ more. Love the micro and the range. My Samsung refrigerator model RF323TEDBSR french door was the best Samsung had to offer. It is nearly 4 yrs old now. From about one year to present it has had freezing up issues in the refrigerator section. After numerous attempt to remedy this issue with Samsung, they just keep giving me the same runaround telling me to level the fridge and set the temperatures as they recommend. I have done this diligently every time, however it is not getting better but worse. They are willing to send out a technician at my cost most likely to do the same thing I have been doing and then tell me its working. One month later I will be defrosting my fridge much like people were doing in the 50s.After doing a little online searching I have found that my problem is not unique. Many other happy Samsung owners are experiencing the same issues across many different models. Apparently there is a bad design with the defrosting system. SAMSUNG does not want to own up to it. I can kinda understand their side considering all the troubles they have had with many of their products such as the washing machine blowing up (we have them as well) and the phones catching on fire. WARNING, dont buy SAMSUNG refrigerators.

Samsung RS267TDPN - Do your research before considering this model! I have owned mine barely 3 yrs and have had major problems with the freezer side two times. In both cases, the freezer side seized to cool properly. In this last round, the temperature was 25-40 degrees (f) and would not get any cooler which meant the ice maker also stopped working. The first problem was repaired while under warranty. For my current problem, I am now having to pay out of pocket to replace the evap temp sensor and the Heater sheath assembly due to burnt wires. These are part of the EVAP assembly and are located in the lower freezer section and behind a plastic panel thus I assume it to be a defect with the unit and not something that could have been caused by user neglect. I also owned a Samsung over-the-range microwave oven which failed prematurely therefore I now question the quality of Samsung kitchen appliances.

We thought that Samsung would be a reputable manufacturer when we decided to purchase a new stove. What a huge mistake in thinking that was!!! We had the smooth top stove model NE595RO for less than one month. I was cooking on it and my pot became stuck to the element. I could not get it off. So I let it cool down and then was able to remove my pot. (I always wipe my pots off on the bottom before cooking to ensure nothing will cause it to stick to the element area). A piece of the smooth top actually stuck to the pot and came off and made a dime-sized gouge in the smooth top. Was I ever mad. I had a KitchenAid smooth top for over 21 years and it looked as good as the day I had bought it. It was the oven that died in my KitchenAid and being so old we decided to get a new one rather than start to repair the old one. Plus the Samsung was a lot cheaper than many other brands. You only get what you pay for is the correct rule. I phoned Samsung and with the first call was told to send in the pictures and explanation which I did. I was told someone would contact me within 48 hours. One week later after no call, I phoned them back and I had to now deal with a very rude moron on the phone who would not tell me how to contact the supervisors at Samsung. Needless to say I had bought the extended warranty but the cook top should be covered for one year and it was only one month old when this fiasco happened. I did receive an email from Samsung stating it was a cosmetic issue made by the customer and they would not repair it. Samsung will use every excuse under the sun to lay the blame on the customer when in fact they have shoddy products and the most heinous customer service. This was our first and last Samsung purchase. Had we known then what we know now, we would have never bought a Samsung stove. BEWARE of Samsung products.

We bought a Samsung side by side 25.6 CU FT refrigerator on 5-6-10 (serial # JJ5Z4GBZ400545J; model # RS261MDBP). We didnt have it a full year when he had to call for a repair service man to come out because the unit wasnt cooling and all the lights on the panel were all lit up. Something in the panel went out and had to be ordered. Then the last week in December we were having a birthday party and we had a house full of guests and had to buy 6 coolers for the party food as well as all the food we already had and I was never so embarrassed in my life as all my guest had to keep going out in the cold to the coolers for their drinks because the unit wasnt cooling and the freezer wasnt freezing. So I called service department again on January 3rd. After two service appointments, it was determined the mother board had to be replaced. So on 1-17-12 it was replaced and as of 1-21-12 the unit is still not working. I have another service appointment for 1-23-12. I have lost $300.00 in groceries because of this and have to buy ice and use a cooler in January in the winter no less and I have to go to the store daily to buy dinner, which is very costly not to mention very time consuming. I have two elderly and 5 babies under the age of 5 and that is so inconveniencing them as well as the rest of the family members and very costly. This is the absolute worse experience we have ever had. I will never again purchase any Samsung products and will tell everyone about this horrible, embarrassing, very costly experience.

Samsung french door RFG298 - I have the same problems and even more. Fridge will be 4 years old next month. It stopped working entirely except for 2 flashing LED lights at water dispenser. No other lights work, no compressor, no NOTHING. The bottom ice maker broke within the first couple of months. Just spent $70 to replace door storage bins and more are cracked. There are stains in between the glass shelves and rubber I cant get out, including stains on the flap of the deli drawer in between the plastic that cant be reached. Had an AHA moment when I read another review saying their fridge had dings all over it as our fridge also has dings I cant imagine why and how that happened. SAMSUNG is not responding to my request for technical help or a technician which I cant find in my areas. Paid $2,500 and purchased at Lowe’s... Its not even 4 years old and USELESS.

Samsung doesnt believe in customer satisfaction, they dont take responsibility of their faulty, defective products. Doesnt even bother to get it fixed even if its a safety hazard. In November 2011, our family purchased a counter depth Samsung Refrigerator, Model #RSG257AARS. Shortly after purchasing the refrigerator, the exterior door above the ice maker had a small divot. Originally, it appeared like someone in our family dinged it with a hard object. However, over the next year, the problem continued, and both doors are covered in small divots from the door handles to the top of the refrigerator. This is definitely a manufacturing defect. According to the representative from Samsung, the warranty was only good for one year, and Samsung refuses to stand behind their product stating this is not a recall issue. This was a large investment for our family, and we are extremely disappointed that Samsung will not support its customers and products. We would like to share this experience so other consumers can make an educated choice before making their purchase.

On December 15, 2015 I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator. Less than one month after delivery the ice maker quit working, was totally frozen up from leaking water. I purchased this item from Best Buys Pacific. The Geek Squad replaced part of the ice maker but did not remedy the program. Upon searching the internet the above was a known problem with this particular refrigerator. In fact Samsung had issued a technical bulletin on how to fix this problem. In the interim I purchased an extended warranty from Samsung. The same initial problem reoccurred in early December 2016. I took my complaint to the appliance manager at Pacific in Best Buy. He told me this was a Samsung problem. It has now been six weeks and several visits from repair companies the ice maker has not been fixed. It still freezes up, leads water and stops making ice cubes. I was directed to the regional representative for Samsung. Keeps sending out a different repair company without results. Needless to say I am totally frustrated with Samsung and their defective product. I have asked Samsung to replace the refrigerator but upon examining a more recent model the same problem was visible. Samsung continues to sell a defective product. I will be filing complaints with the Texas and Federal lemon laws to try and rectify the above problems. Needless to say I cannot recommend Samsung to anyone.

RF267ABRS - My experience leads me to believe that Samsung refrigerators are junk. They look nice but after a few years, you will have problems. It started with the lower part of the refrigerator filling with water that iced up and leaked onto the hardwoods. I kept having to get ice and water out of the fridge, then it stopped (for now). Next, my ice maker chamber stopped cooling. Theres nothing online about how to fix this (that I could find). I called Samsung but if the fridge is not under 1 year old then they tell me they can set me up with maintenance but I have to pay for it. I had to buy a new washer and dryer and decided it was time to stop giving loyalty to a company that in my opinion, makes things to break. Stick with Samsung TVs, skip the appliance.

Dishwasher never worked right from day one. Does not clean dishes, does not dry dishes and it smells! Tried for 7 months with Lowes to fix it. Finally Had A & E service, which is the service provider SAMSUNG sends, come out. A & E was also horrible. We have been attempting to have unit fixed for 3 1/2 months. 4 no shows and 2 walkaways due to not enough men for the job. After spending over 24 hrs on the phone with SAMSUNG being lied to and given the run around, I thought we had a fix. I was promised a refund confirmed by a manager and to wait 2 more days while the paperwork goes through the system. No call back after the 2 days. Once again - I called them on day 3 only to be told paperwork was filled out wrong. Please wait 2 more days. Again no call back. I called them day 3 only to be told wait 5 more days. When I pressed I was then told sorry NO REFUND, you need to try and have the unit fixed again. Its like Movie GroundHOG DAY - only thing is this is a NIGHTMARE that does not end. Bottom Line is SAMSUNG does not service what they sell nor do they take care of their customer. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again.

Purchased this model 2.5 years ago - have had issues with ice maker ever since. Do your research, issues with Samsung and ice makers (especially this unit) are all over the internet. The ice making function is pretty much so useless. On mine, like so many others (thousands) freezes up, literally turns into a block of ice. Overall, great design and functionality, however, for $2k I expect the ice maker to work.Samsung refuses to take any accountability, as a result, major class action lawsuit is underway by law firms and thousands of consumers to get them to do the right thing for their customers. Its all online, do your research. While I have owed and been quite happy with a number of Samsung Plasma TVs and LCDs, their responsiveness to this serious product issue with ice makers is nothing short of shameful. I had hoped to get it repaired, but a reputable (and Samsung certified warranty service) indicated that even after spending $500 on parts and labor, the problem will most likely continue. So, after spending $2k on this thing, and 2 1/2 years later, I will be buying a new refrigerator/freezer. And, as a result, I will never purchase another Samsung product again. Never. Do your own research, and look elsewhere.
