We are senior couple. My husband is disabled. Have had our $2500.00 refrigerator about 8 yrs. Freezer and ice maker stopped working. After several calls they finally gave me a repairman number 75 miles away. After reading reviews and checking with several people locally, we found numerous people had the same problem... which the majority still did not have problem solved, because repairman did not know what it was. Several were left torn apart for weeks. We just wanted to talk with someone, to get their opinion if it could be repaired or we would we have to purchase another one... No one will talk with us... Your customer service is no help. AFTER YOU SELL YOU ARE FINISHED WITH THE CUSTOMER. NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR. I called, email, no response from anyone.

This dishwasher is an expensive piece of garbage. I bought it this higher end one thinking it would last a long time. Silly me. Its barely 4 yrs old and is of course out of warranty (a generous 1 yr!) and has an electronic issue causing it to empty and shut down. No one works on Samsung appliances. Sooo, you have to contact them. My understanding is parts are expensive and not easy to obtain. Who would expect a basically new dishwasher was well cared for to break? Ive got a $20 Mr. Coffee maker thats older than this $650.00 dishwasher that still works. Never. Again.

Purchased a black stainless “fingerprintless” less than 2 years ago and the freezer section stopped working. Called and they came out to fix it. Needed a new compressor and luckily for us it is a warranty item. Less than 2 months later same thing, freezer is not working. Needs ANOTHER compressor. They said we could get a new one. Big deal, who wants another headache? I’ve lost so much food and having to eat out while waiting to get it fixed is ridiculously expensive! I wish I could get my money back and go with a quality refrigerator. I am angry at myself because we bought this one to replace a Samsung piece of junk and I go and do this to myself when I swore I’d never buy another one. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!!! I have a dishwasher too and I hate that as much as the refrigerator!

We bought the Samsung Refrigerator Aug.2012 model #RF217ACBP, French doors with Freezer at the bottom. Have been disappointed that it started freezing everything in the vegetable drawer. We have had two different repair companies out to work on it, one of which is authorized repair shop. Within a few weeks it is back freezing the veggies again. We thought we were buying a quality product but now we think not. We are not pleased that the only fix is every few weeks we have someone out to thaw out the line. The repairman has called in to Samsung for a permanent fix. We will not buy another Samsung refrigerator.

Purchased refrigerator in BLACK finish (RF28HMEDBBC) to coordinate with other appliances in my kitchen. Upon setup by delivery personnel I find surface scratches on the face of the doors that are in even patterns, they agree must be from rubbing during shipping. The salesperson from Lowes agreed to order new doors. Before doing any cleaning of the surface I referred to manual and used only recommended method of cleaning which is damp cloth followed by dry soft cloth. This method leaves swirls on finish plus near the handles I see new scratches apparently from fingernails that have swiped the door while reaching for the handle to open it (nothing else has been near that area except my hands). Also manual suggests polishing the surface once or twice a year but does not say with what product. I called Samsung and they could give me no answer to what product they recommend. The new doors arrive with another series of scratched patterns so obviously the finish is not durable at all! None of my other black appliances (other brands) have any marks and are several years old. Lowes is willing to again order new doors or swap out for another brand. I am writing this as a buyer beware notice and curious if others have had similar issues.

Never purchase a Samsung Range!!! - Ours broke a week after we had it. - Was repaired and since then it has broke 5 more time. Each time it was repaired except the current breakdown that has the range out of service for 10 days so far and no call backs from SEARS Service Department despite repeated calls with our new claim number. We have 8 months left on the extended warranty and are looking at replacing the range after just having it for under 3 years as this range is very poor quality - Samsung should stick to making TVs. Very disappointed in the service from Samsung and SEARS where we purchased this unit from.

4 door Samsung Refrigerator Samsung RF23J9011 - Bought this fridge in July
4 door Samsung Refrigerator Samsung RF23J9011 - Bought this fridge in July 2016 brand new from HH Gregg. A year and half later (Dec. 2017) the refrigerator portion of the fridge stopped working. It was 2 weeks before someone could come look at it. Samsung used a company called MetroTech. I had to pay 90.00 for an assessment and wait another 2 weeks for a part. The problem was with the seal which was covered under warranty as a defect. 2 weeks turned into 3 and the part was installed but it did not fix the problem. So Metrotech advised Samsung to replace the unit which they refused until Metrotech put in another part. Another 2 weeks of waiting and Metrotech put in the part. Upon doing so the inside panel of the fridge was damaged. Plus this did not fix the problem. The 4th time Samsung sent Metrotech out, Metrotech advised Samsung to replace the unit. A unit Exchange process was put in. When I called Samsung they told me they needed a certificate of ownership. I do not have this as it was still being paid for however, the account was in my deceased spouses name financed through Synchrony bank. HH Greg went out of business. Synchrony bank will not let me pay for the fridge because they filed a claim against the remaining balance in probate - even though I tried to pay for it. Probate will not end until sometime in May. Samsung will not replace the defective fridge without it showing the fridge is paid for. I do not know what to do? I think this is horrible and will never buy another Samsung product. EVER.

The shelves on the doors have cracked and had to be glued to keep in. The little shelf near freezer is attached with screws into plastic anchors and they have all broken. The top shelf will not go into the bracket to hold it in. The bottom shelf which holds drawers the rack on the refrigerator has cracked around the screw and the back of that shelf on other side has broken. I know its 9 years old but all these are poor workmanship for material used.

We were excited to buy our Samsung fridge. It looked nice, was spacious, LED lighting, and more. But we have had a lot of problems with the freezer, and so far, it has not been fully addressed. We have lost food, Samsung repair has been out 2 times, replaced 3 different parts, insulted us on the phone - and yet the freezer still has problems. When this first started, we did not realize the freezer was building up ice on the back of the drawer; this area is not visible. Ice was apparently also building up on the rails. So the freezer had trouble closing, and at some point it stayed open about 1/8 for a few days and we lost all our food. We had no idea this was happening. We had Samsung repair come out and they replaced 2 parts. It is a long story, but we were initially led to believe we would get reimbursed for our food loss; not only did Samsung refuse to do that, but a Samsung employee actually called us, and blamed us. Apparently that person was unaware that Samsungs own repair people had replaced two different parts. Blaming us is an attempt at intimidation, to avoid paying the reimbursement. We have this call recorded on voice mail as well. We had no freezer at all for a whole MONTH - for the Samsung repair process - but I do not get the feeling from anyone I have talked to that Samsung cares about this. And the repair did not fully work. Our problems continue, and we can hear ice dropping. A Samsung employee told us there were no complaints about our model at all, which is hard to believe because when we had Samsung repair come out again, the repairman said there was an actual Service Bulletin out on our model. He replaced another part, so that is 3 different parts replaced. Yet, after this 3rd part was replaced, our freezer continues to drop ice. From extensive observation, it seems likely to me that this is a design problem, for Samsung lower-drawer freezers that have ice cubes in the lower drawer. They overfill the container and fall out of the back. And this is not just my opinion - that the design is at fault - one of the repairmen also talked about this.So its been close to a year now that we have had freezer problems. The way Samsung has treated us - trying to blame us for this, and refusing for a long time to reimburse our food loss - has left us very unhappy with Samsung. They finally did reimburse us recently but only after we went to Twitter, LinkedIn, and other places. We are posting on social media (and on this website) because we want people to know what our experience is. Samsung did not have to treat us this way. I have even started a website also about this, and it has a blog too at: **. I suppose Samsung repair could come out yet again - but if its a defective design, then there is nothing that a repairman can do.Since Samsung seems unable (or unwilling) to help us get this resolved, we will at some point just sell this thing, at a big loss no doubt, and find some other brand of refrigerator. If you want to avoid what we have gone through, I recommend you do NOT buy a Samsung refrigerator - or any other Samsung products, if their customer service in other products is as bad as this!

Thanks Again Samsung USA. Well here I am again folks. I talked with a Supervisor from the Executive Desk about my problems with customer support and about the Fridge (Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF323TEDBSR/AA). Wow can you believe they are truly a company that will buy back your product for less than you paid and they stick together on all levels of Customer service? And after talking with him he also tells me I have 14 days from the date of the email of the offer from them and thats the end. Another WOW. So here it is -- 2017.00 Samsung French door Refrigerator, 80.00 Delivery, 15.00 new water line (required), 370.00 Extended warranty, 148.00 Sales tax -- Approx. 2622.00 Total spent 1 1/2 year ago. They are willing to buy it back for 756.00. Should I be happy??? I can assure you I am not. If they admit there is a problem and their warranty ran out last August, why would they be willing to buy it back??? And I am suppose to accept this GREAT LOSS? Not without a fight. I have made many calls to them and emails to get paperwork to them, faxes to them on the same paperwork. And was asked again today to email the original contract again, 4 emails-efaxes they didnt get, 2 phone faxes that didnt show the total price. But this final email today showed it all to the young man I sent to while I kept him on the line. So tell me should I just let it go? And top of it all, their policy is before that refund can come, you have to cut the cord from the fridge, wrap it with labels from inside fridge with S/N and model around the cord and take a picture and wait on your refund. Now common sense tells me that if I do that I will lose all my stuff in the fridge and freezer and wait till their refund arrives and then purchase a new fridge plus fork out about 850.00 to replace it with what I bought 17 months after I bought it originally. I wish I could make some sort of sense out that policy??? Would love some feedback on this and would love for anyone with this sort of issue to also SHARE this so others may avoid what we are going through. Thank you Samsung USA.

I was shocked when my brand new dishwasher didn’t do a good job washing my dishes and I often had to run them through another cycle or finish them off by hand. Then it got worse, the soap didn’t dissolve and none of the dishes were clean. I called suport and 4 days later someone came out to take a look at it. Said the motor was defective and was going to order a new part. No idea when it would be in. So unworkable brand new dishwasher - needs a new motor, and I am not happy with getting a repair.I request them to send me a new one. Good luck with that - apparently it has to broken multiple times before they replace it... Looks like I’m stuck dealing with a horrible product until I decide I had enough and throw it away. Buyer beware, the product is pricy, the quality is horrible and the company could care a less about providing a better customer experience.

Our Samsung DMR77LHW model that we purchased as part of a kitchen renovation some 5 years ago has been a source of frustration for the last 4 years. We had it repaired twice under an extended warranty (thank God!!); the first time just a year after purchase (replaced circuit board) and then again this past winter (entire top rack, door gasket, top rotary washing arm). Between those 2 service calls (and continuing to this day), nothing but poor performance and failing parts: Brittle and broken rack clips, recurring SE error (and now a PE code yesterday!) during normal cycle, cleaned dishes and glasses with odd food particles caked on, very wet items after the drying cycle, etc. We will be replacing this piece of cr*p in the next month because we have endured it long enough. Shame on Samsung for STILL producing such low quality products 5 years after we bought our own. I thought that this manufacturer would improve its appliances based on all this consumer feedback, but apparently Samsung doesnt care about that. So, junk products + poor customer service experience = a company to boycott. Bye bye Samsung. You have lost another client. Not just for dishwashers, but your ENTIRE line of products, I.e., Mobile Devices, TV & Audio, Cameras & Camcorders, PC monitors & Printers, Home Appliances, and Memory/Storage (as per your products list at Samsung.com). You will not get my business again!

DMT300RFW - This appliance was purchased in 2010 from Future Shop in Saskatoon. Problems were experienced very quickly and our efforts for assistance from Future Shop or Samsung were a waste of time. In 2012 the dishwasher would only run on Heavy Duty and most often it has to restarted in order to start the cycle. At the present time, often it takes restarting four to five times before it will go into the cycle. We will replace it for certain with a different brand.

I had purchased an extended warranty at the time of purchase, so I contacted HH Gregg. The service people came but could not say why the glass broke, so they ordered a new glass top. We have had our refrigerator (bottom-freezer) less than a year. Weve had Samsung out 3 times to check out the random very loud noise that it makes. The resulting opinion is that the noise is normal. I am having to endure it as I type this and would encourage anyone to NOT BUY a Samsung appliance. Another thing is the space inside. This is my second horrible review of Samsung Refrigerators. I purchased a new side by side Samsung Refrigerator one year ago after having an old 28 year old GE Refrigerator that gave me no problems whatsoever. I purchased a 4 year warranty (what a waste of money). So the last time I complained about the scratches on the part where you fill your glass with water and ice and Samsung said that is cosmetic and nothing can be done. I suppose you should be using paper cups to fill your water instead of glass. The refrigerator already looks like it is about 20 years old. This time the large shelf in the middle of the refrigerator cracked for no apparent reason. I contacted Samsung and they again told me that this is not covered (what a surprise). I will never buy anything that has a Samsung name attached to it!!!

Called customer service and reported what I felt would be a manufacturing defect. When I went to steam clean the oven this week I noticed on the floor, of the oven, fan-like cracks in the enamel. The enamel was cracked and the metal below was showing in 3 areas. I asked if anyone else had reported this. After the CS rep investigated she returned and said no other complaints and it would not be anything they would address as the stove was 2 yrs old. That was all. I really feel it is a manufacture defect and should be replaced. Hopefully not a ongoing problem. I did see this issue on another review so why was the answer no, it has never happened before.

Also my freezer has ice all in it beside the ice maker and it has froze food to the fridge. My left front handle has paint chipped off of it. We purchased a Samsung RF323TE French Door Refrigerator with a Bottom Freezer and Ice Maker in approximately November 2012. Things were working fine until we started noticing a foul smell (like urine) coming from the water out of the dispenser. The water and ice then tasting bad as well. I thought it was the filter, so I bought a new filter, replaced it, and flushed it with several gallons of water through the dispenser as instructed. This worked for about a week, and then the problem returned. I thought I just got a bad filter, so I put a new one in and repeated the process. Shortly after, the problem is now back. I went to the Samsung website to try and troubleshoot it, but I could not find nor enter the model number. I got an error message saying the model number was not found! I have not called them, and I am not sure if we bought the extended warranty from Lowes, but the reports I have read are very discouraging. I will definitely report back, and do more research before my next purchase. Samsung will be hard pressed to get any more of my business.

We bought a Samsung side by side refrigerator on July 2013. We were so proud to get a top-notch refrigerator, with cold water and ice maker. Six months later the food in the refrigerator started freezing. We remedied it with turning the temp indicator all the way down. It still froze some of the food. We threw away countless heads of frozen lettuce and frozen tomatoes. We still were not very upset, thinking it was only temporary. A year and 2 weeks later, there started to be a grinding noise from behind the freezer. The warranty had expired so we called a repairman. He was here looking at the fridge for about 1 half hour, and I asked him what the problem was. He said, The main problem is you bought a Samsung. I didnt understand. Now he said the whole back end of the freezer compartment is completely iced over and the evaporator fan is burned out. He said it would take 2 or 3 weeks to get a part. It remedied a part of the problem, but now it keeps freezing over and we have to manually defrost it every 3 weeks. We have to wait for all the ice to melt and put towels on the floor around it to keep from damaging the floor. We have decided to live with this problem until we can save up enough money to buy a new refrigerator. We dont think it will be a Samsung. We bought a 55 inch Samsung Ultra High Definition Television 2 and half years ago. We couldnt be any happier with the clear picture and excellent sound. Our suggestion to Samsung would be to get out of the appliance business and stick to making goods that you do best. Our trust is broken with the snazzy-looking refrigerator with all the bells and whistles.

First, I must tell you this refrigerator was purchased for my 90-year old father who lived in the country by himself, 5 miles from any of his kids. It was purchased in 8/2011. Approximately one year later, it went into demo mode. Theres nothing in the book about it so I called Samsung. They said it had to be caused from a power surge and they told me to reset it, so I did. Approximately a month later, it did it again. This time, I did not call them. I reset it myself. On Oct. 31 of 2012, I had a knee replaced about three weeks after my dad called and said it went into demo mode again. My husband had to take me out there to reset it. It was on the weekend and we could not get a hold of Samsung, so I called my son-in-law who had had the same problems with his. He told me to unplug it and see if it would reset, which it did. It seems to work for a while. Again in Feb, it went into demo mode again. (When it does this, it is not working, no cold air.) Dad tried to reach us all day. Finally, he got a hold of us in the afternoon. The refrigerator had been off all day. My son-in-law went in the afternoon and turned the refrigerator back on. Samsung wont do anything because its been over a year. Lowes wont do anything because we did not buy the extended warranty. It has gone into demo once this month already. 1 1/2 years old and it is a pain in the butt for my whole family.

The story begins less than four years ago. We purchased an entire suite of Samsung kitchen appliances – range, refrigerator, dishwasher and over the range microwave. Since installation (less than 4 years ago) the range began turning on (by itself), a clearly dangerous situation. We found online that this has happened before with terrible consequences. We replaced this range with a Frigidaire range. So far, no issues. Now the dishwasher is not drying. I went through the manual and completed all recommended options to resolve this issue. I am now shopping for a new dishwasher, as nothing I have done seems to make the dishes dry. The refrigerators ice maker has always been an issue in that it does make ice but very inconsistently. The cubes are malformed and at times, it simply stops only to start again whenever it feels like it. I can say that the microwave has, so far, not given us any issues. I would like to warn anyone considering the purchase of any Samsung kitchen appliances to do your online research. I believe that if I had done so prior to investing thousands of dollars with Samsung appliance, I would have thought better.

We built a new retirement home and decided to buy all new appliances. We figured we wouldnt ever need to replace them. French door refrigerator RF263BEAESR has been a nightmare. It has been serviced at least 5 times and still doesnt work right. We have to buy ice. I will never buy any Samsung appliance again. We got the appliance in 2014 around November. December was the first service call. I called and complained several times to Samsung and Metro Appliances where we purchased the item. Beings the warranty has expired I will buy ice from now on. I have spent enough money on repairs. I should have bought a good refrigerator. Never again...

I bought the Samsung French door refrigerator from SEARS in May 2014. Bought the extended warranty. The compressor went out Sept 1 2014, lost my food, had out of town visitors, and a technician wouldnt be there for four days. After 4 days, compressor wont be replaced for another week. Sears wouldnt let me return it (policy is 30 days). Said I had to first suffer more than once then they would think about it; however, 5 employees I spoke with earlier told me I had a $250 food replacement and I would be able to return it because it was the compressor. Sears did not replace my food but gave me a $50 allowance for future food for each of the 2 weeks I am without a refrigerator. I had my last refrigerator - NOT a Samsung through SEARS - for 24 years. Not only has the quality of the appliance gone down but the service is horrendous and the training of employees is dishonest.

We purchased a Samsung RF G298HD in 2011, which has run quite well. We have not had an issue with either ice maker. The large drawer needed to be replaced under warranty due to not opening easily. Our issue with this unit is all the plastic trim work is either cracking or just falling off. With a purchase price of over $2300, I would expect better quality. The end caps to the handles are plastic and fall off regularly. One on the shelves in the side door is cracking. I would expect more out of a company for the price that we paid for this inferior product.

Samsung microwave stopped working exactly 2 years and 1 month from purchase. Above stove higher end model. Called Samsung, told me warranty was over by 1 month. So sorry.. I found out that my state has a 4-year warranty law. Samsung finally sent someone to replace door...Worked great until 5 months later when heating food and then this rattling metal noise started and now no longer can use this microwave anymore...Will not EVER purchase another Samsung microwave again.... Beautiful model but not worth the dollars we spent for it in the fall of 2017...Not even 3 years old...

Samsung is 100% the worse product we have purchased in years. We have had a broken dishwasher in our kitchen for over 2 months. The unit broke shortly after purchase and we had to go through warranty. They sent Dish Network repairmen out. 4 times. Each time took a minimum of 5-7 hours. They showed up late, or not at all after scheduling a long window of when they might appear. They never fixed the unit and disappeared after it was establish they would have to replace the unit. We call Samsung and are told someone will call us back. We are also being told they are replacing it with the same unit which seems like a nightmare waiting to happen. Don’t do it!

I have a model RF24FSEDBSR/AA. The ice maker repeatedly freezes up, requiring me to take a hair dryer and melt the block of ice thats formed around the internal dispenser. I usually have to do this about every month. Then, I usually have difficulty getting the ice bucket aligned so I can reinsert it. The owners manual says if it doesnt line up to turn the helix on the back of the bucket 90 degrees and try again. Ive tried repeatedly (and not just 90 degree turns) and havent had any luck. I feel like Im trying to crack the combination on a safe! The bucket sits on our kitchen counter until I calm down and regain my patience to try again. Would not get a Samsung fridge again.

It drips water into the fridge and then freezes under the deli drawer and drips down the left side to the floor outside of the unit. A bin has already cracked and I have it packed taped and the inside pull drawer in the freezer has come apart as well. Not a good purchase at all.

Im 65 years old. Ive owned a home since I was 19 years old. Ive had experience with most if not all of the major brands over the course of time. In 2016 we purchased a Samsung Kitchen suite of Black Stainless steel appliances. We have had calls on every appliance except the microwave. The stove fried the electronics the very first time we used the self cleaning oven function. It currently sits with most the digital readout gone. The refrigerator is the worst of all of them. The ice maker freezes up about every 6 weeks, and the refrigerator itself freezes up needing complete unplug defrost every 5-6 months minimum. The dishwasher was super quiet for about a year then started making noise. Repairman says its the pump... I can replace it for $275 and it will do the same thing in about a year. If it were me Id wait for it to quit working all together. You couldnt give me another set of Samsung kitchen appliances. I wouldnt waste my time removing the Samsung junk I own to replace with more junk. Never buy appliances because theyre the only ones with the color you like!

Purchased this microwave from Lowe’s in 2013. Broke this weekend after catching on fire internally. White plastic / electrical smoke filled our house. Luckily no other damage. If we were not in the kitchen however, the story could have been different. Contacted Samsung directly to see if they could help with repairs, or a discount towards a new Samsung microwave. The answer: No, we only warrant our appliances for 1 year. Anything past 1 year is the consumer’s responsibility. So my warning to anyone looking to purchase a Samsung appliance. Get the extended warranty, which is very expensive. Because after year 1, and your appliance breaks or causes damage to your home, Samsung will not help. Wonderful company.

Paid over $5K for the Samsung RF34H9960S4/AA refrigerator, which is supposed to have come with Samsung Elite Service where a technician comes to your house and explains all the features in person and make sure everything was installed and working correctly. After two months of trying to get in touch with someone at Samsung who could set this up for me, I was told that the service is not offered in my area, based on my zip code. I asked if it was available in the zip code where I purchased the product and was again told it is not. I asked if it was available anywhere in the U.S. and was told that the only technician they had listed was in California. I accused them of selling a product and advertising a service that customers like me have paid top dollar for, knowing that it is not offered in most areas of the U.S. They did not offer me any resolution.

This is the first and last time that I will purchase any products from Samsung. I purchased 4 appliances on April 14, 2019. I called because I needed repair to my range. I have made multiple calls and yet not resolved. First call agent did not speak English well, no help there! Second call agent muffled could not understand at all, however, provided her with the necessary documents and info including serial number etc. Waited 24 hours and no call from repair company. Called them and again needed to submit necessary documents/receipt since they did not have. (Mind you the range belongs to my 86 year old mother and of course with the current healthcare crisis needs a range). The third agent basically reprimanded me for not having the appropriate info on my receipt such as serial number. The Home Depot receipt does not have the serial number on the receipt but it does state the items that were purchased (Samsung Kitchen Package). Now I called HD to obtain a full invoice and of course I will not have for a couple days which may have the potential of falling out of warranty. You can guarantee that I will be calling the Department of Aging to file a complaint especially with the current situation that the US is currently in. One would think that providing the supporting documentation would be enough to schedule a repair. Now an 86 year old is left without a range (especially since she is self-sheltered) for God knows how long. I welcome a call!

Price was over $300.00 and this appears to be a very common issue at around the 18th month of usage mark per the complaints online I have read. Of course, I called the company and they state, Too bad, it is out of warranty (12 months). The company needs to look at the business they are losing over what could be a small fix. I will no longer purchase any Samsung products. I was a dedicated Samsung customer because the quality was there in the past. In this economy, you would think that a company would value the customers they have and when they see a defect like this, they should address it, not just brush it off. Samsung needs to look at Tylenol for an example of going above and beyond for its customers. So with that said, I have a $350 microwave that lasted less than 2.5 years so maybe I will just purchase a cheap microwave every year. At least, I will get a new one each year and may be more cost effective,

We purchased our Samsung Induction range in Jan 2015. Within a couple of weeks we got an error message which made no sense but nothing on the range worked. As this was under the one year warranty I called Samsung. After several days and several calls I was informed there were no Samsung certified repair people within a three-hour radius. I called Calgary and was told by a Samsung certified repairman they get calls from all over the province but will not leave the city. I returned to Sears where I purchased the range. They were willing to replace the range but asked if I would allow them to arrange their service people to come out, which they did. No stove for three weeks as the entire electrical panel had to be replaced. Fortunately at this time I purchased five year extended warranty through Sears. We now have issues with the oven. For no reason, mid cycle/baking the oven puts out an error message (silent) and the range does not work. On one occasion it just stopped working without an error message. Thank goodness I dont have to try to get a repairman... Sears will send out their technician. I have read complaints about cleaning the glass top. I clean with soap and water. Dry it then spray with Weimar cooktop cleaner. It does a great job and my cooktop is still looking good. If you have an induction range and you find a stainless steel pan doesnt work, you likely have one of two problem. Some stainless steel pans have additional metals in them which will cause them not to work and the other is a warped bottom. I deeply regret buying this range and given Samsung phones catching fire and the clothes washer lids blowing off... I will never buy any Samsung products.

I have owned this microwave since 2010. Today it displayed the SE error. After reading online, I determined that it was due to the fact that the microwave is installed over the stove and steam from cooking affects the sensor on the control panel (its kind of hard to cook and not have steam!!!). I watched the YouTube video and repaired the panel accordingly. So far it is working - but who knows for how long! I also noticed that some people were calling Samsung and getting it repaired; however, when I called, I was told that my particular model was not covered by the epidemic warranty. Since other people with the same model got theirs repaired, it appears that the story from Samsung is different from different representatives!!! Most people seem to be having the same problem with Samsungs customer service and have additional problems even IF they actually get it repaired. I bought Samsung in good faith thinking that it was a quality product. I will replace it with another brand and will never buy a Samsung again.

Most recently phoned 6/4/21. First avail 6/18; ordered parts; returned 6/25 to complete. Never worked, and is now displaying error codes. Next avail 7/5 to fix. We purchased our Samsung refrigerator 4 years ago as new homeowners. Towards the beginning of July this year, we started having issues with the freezer not keeping things frozen - ice cream melting, meat thawing, etc. After trying the recommendations in the manual and unplugging it to reset it per Samsung, it seemed like our problem was fixed... for about a week. So I called Samsung again. On July 21, a technician from one of their service centers, MidAmerica, came out and discovered our sealed refrigeration system was leaking (evaporator & compressor - attached is a picture of the evaporator; all the coils are supposed to be covered in ice and only the top one of ours is due to the loss of coolant)... he also informed us that the sealed refrigeration system was still under warranty (5 year warranty stated in manual). However, he couldnt fix it because he supposedly just moved to our state and didnt have the insurance/licensure to carry the parts... a little fishy, but he said we should be able to call Samsung and they will find a trained technician to fix it. Turns out - Samsung has no trained technicians for sealed refrigeration systems in our area, so they told us to find our own and they will reimburse us but only if the technician we found diagnosed the same problem... okay? So we call Mr. Appliance and they were fantastic! They came out on 7/30. They diagnosed the SAME problem but stated it would be over $2000 to fix it. They also informed us it was probably only a matter of time until our fresh food side stopped keeping things cool too. We were shocked. The refrigerator did not even cost that much to begin with and we also dont have $2000 lying around. So I contact Samsung again, spoke with a girl named Brady. I offered to email her the quote as well as our proof of purchase to show that it seemed ridiculous that we were going to repair a refrigerator under a manufacturers warranty for more than it was worth when we bought it. She put me on hold for a brief moment and came back to say we just needed to pay it and Samsung would reimburse us (mind you, there has never been anything in writing stating they would reimburse us... theyre expecting us to just go on their word). Refused to let me email the quote to them and also refused to let me speak to a supervisor about the issue. She stated a supervisor would email me... which never happened. In the meantime, we called Mr. Appliance about ordering the parts and they stated it would probably take over a month to get the compressor from Samsung... so my fiance calls Samsung to inform them of this. In our minds, it should not take a month (possibly longer) to get a warranty issue fixed! Asks to speak to a supervisor, on the phone for over an hour and talks to three separate people who are not supervisors and just keep saying its their policy to have us pay this exorbitant amount of money and expect them to reimburse us. We suggested that they just replace the refrigerator - they keep indirectly saying they will find a way to get the issue resolved. They say a supervisor will call us back in 24-48 hours... we wait 3 business days and havent heard anything, so I call them on 8/6. I spoke with Michael, who was very nice and genuinely seemed shocked that it was taking this long to get this fixed. He actually wanted me to email him the receipts and proof of purchase unlike Brady and stated they would be calling Mr. Appliance since they were the only people who said they could truly fix it. We were relieved. This was short-lived however because the next day they assign our ticket to MidAmerica AGAIN and some other local company (J&D) who had already told us they dont have someone trained in sealed refrigeration systems. By this time, I am irate. I call again and tell them to refer to the images of the receipts I sent, associated with the ticket number from my phone call on 8/6 with Michael. Gregory tells me there are no images with that ticket number. I felt like I was going crazy! These people are ridiculous. They are like robots every time you call - there is no history of ongoing issues, they close ticket numbers before the problem is resolved and just open a new one every time. They give you the run-around and obviously no one truly cares about resolving your problem. I submitted the images again and am still waiting on another phone call. If this product wasnt still under a manufacturers warranty, I wouldve been done weeks ago. It has affected our quality of life from the stress and time weve put into this and weve spent more money than anticipated on going out to eat and frequent grocery trips for fresh food. I feel defeated. I wish there was a no star option. It is somewhat comforting to see that so many other people have had issues with their Samsung refrigerators, as well as their customer service department, but also so unfortunate. I would NOT recommend any of their products to anyone at this point. I would never want anyone else to go through this like we have. Please consider this review (I know its long - sorry! ), as well as all the others, before purchasing a Samsung product.

In 2015 I purchased a new Samsung electric range, dishwasher, fridge, washer & dryer from HHGREGG. I decided, because it was a large purchase, to opt in for the 5 year warranty on the oven, washer, and fridge which was through WarranTech. During the 4 years we had the oven I needed to be repaired 3 times. All separate issues. The last repair needed was due to the broiler element basically exploding, catching fire, and melting. We called the service plan and they had a repairman come out. He said he would order the new part and someone would contact me to schedule a repair. No one called after a week. I contacted WarranTech and was told they were reimbursing me for the current value minus the repair costs, so like $350. What!!!The washing machine was recalled due to the top becoming loose and possibly detaching. I was reimbursed the full purchase price. The fridge had countless issues with the ice maker which eventually was not repairable. I was reimbursed the current value minus the repair costs. I find it ridiculous that I spent thousands of dollars for appliances that became useless within 2-4 years. My $2000 fridge and $1000 oven are junk and yes I was reimbursed some money but I still paid a lot for essentially a broken appliances. It’s horrible and I would hate for anyone else to have to deal with this headache.

Samsung microwave hood combo ME21706MQS/AC. Purchased an entire kitchen package from Sears Nov 2015 which included a Samsung microwave oven. We are a retired couple so use microwave to heat food and drinks. The microwave would not heat August 2017. Contacted Sears who sent a repairman. Estimate is to replace magnetron $133.96; diode $9.99; transformer $143.46 LABOUR $189.00. Total is $476.41 and I paid $599.99 plus get for the oven. Repairman recommended not to repair as it would not work in less than a year! In other words a piece of crap! I took out the 3 year no interest from Sears so I still have over a year to pay for this piece of crap. Samsung or Sears would not help.

I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator (RF25HME) back in December 2017, and on October 3, 2019 the ice maker stopped working. Did my research and found out that many consumers are complaining about the same issue. For an undetermined reason, the ice maker fills with frost, which turns into blocks of ice, not allowing the ice to be made, and locks up the auger.Spent part of my weekend defrosting the ice maker. I have not had to defrost a freezer or refrigerator since I was a child (50 years ago). I have had other refrigerators with ice makers (Amana, GE) and never had this issue. I will be contacting Samsung, but based on what I have seen on the internet, I dont believe they will be interested in fixing it. (out of warranty) Stay away from Samsung refrigerator!!

Once the item is sold, Lowes refers all responsibility to their (I quote) We have contacted Service Advantage with this issue. A&E Factory Service is the service provider and will be contacting you for a resolution within 5-7 days. Today is the 7th day and no response. We have had 7-8 service calls on this refrigerator 7 for the same problem. When we called for service the second time, Lowes informed us that the Service technician would determine whether or not the service call is covered under the warranty, this made us hesitant to keep calling on the same problem. We still have no ice and only promises from Lowes that Service Advantage would contact us. (Isnt that similar to asking the fox to check the hen house to see if any chickens are missing?) We contacted Service Advantage 8 times, repairs made 8 times, nothing worked. We were told by Lowes store manager that after 7 calls on the same problem the item would be declared a lemon. Samsung Refrigerators are beautiful to look at, but are totally unreliable and everyone that you talk to that owns one says they have problems with the ice maker.

Had an error code SE on my (almost) 4 year old microwave. After reading about all the issues about this with other Samsung microwave that the code pertains to a bad touch pad, I decided to contact Samsung and see if they take responsibility for this. I contacted Samsung this morning and after less than 10 mins, an appointment was made to have a technician come out to my home and replace the pad under Samsung extended warranty on the pad. The only thing Samsung noted to me is that if its not the pad, I would have to pay for the cost of any repairs. I keep my fingers crossed that an honest technician will come out to do this repair. So, bottom line is that Samsung realizes that there is a problem with these pads with this SE error code and extended the warranty to have them replaced.

I have known and read some reviews that they are a problem which never goes away. There is no thing as user manual to fix this. I am doomed. Do not buy Samsung refrigerator. I purchased my Samsung and the extended warranty. Ive had Sears out here 4 times and they called Samsung. The Sear service tech called Samsung and the rep at Samsung said since its a high volume ice producing unit and the ice sometimes shatters. WTF!!! It produced great ice cubes for the first year! I then called Samsung and talk with management. They have agreed to send a tech from Samsung to have a look at no charge. To call this refrigerator a lemon, Sears has to send out a tech out 4 times and order new parts 4 times, so thats 8 visits! Im now waiting for visit # 5 and need to order parts two more times to get rid of this lemon.Im so pissed off at Sears for wasting my time and making me go through a painful process to solve my issue. Dont buy anything from Samsung, because its junk! I had to replace Samsung Dishwasher after 3 years. Also, read the fine print on the warranty. Im winning this war and next time they come back, I will say order some parts until I hit their quota. By that time I will have cost them close to $1500 in service calls. I would recommend extended warranty on every dishwasher and refrigerator you buy. I replaced the piece of crap Samsung dishwasher with a Bosch and love it and I purchased a 5-year service agreement.

We purchased a set of Samsung kitchen appliances. Unfortunately, we purchased these before we moved into our home and shortly after we began to use the appliances, the warranty on some of the appliances had expired. Fortunately, the microwave had a longer warranty and we were able to have that fixed without charge. The dishwasher on the other hand had been one issue after another. We have had to make 3 service calls at our expense and the problem is not yet fixed. We have already spent enough to have purchased another dishwasher - and all we have to show is a broken dishwasher that can not wash a load of dishes. Very disappointed with this dishwasher and after reading the reviews of water soaked floors, I am afraid to risk having it looked at for the 4th repair... Probably better off to just purchase a new dishwasher, but what a waste of money this has been.

Purchased a Samsung refrigerator, Model # RF217ACBP in July 2012. Within 6 months, the ice maker broke and there would be huge amounts of water sitting in the produce bins. Had the ice maker replaced by the Sears tech and just emptied water from bins. Then, 1 month after warranty expired, the fridge started making a loud noise and would not ever stop. The 6 cooling vents in the refrigerator ice up and the temp is about 50 degrees causing all the food to spoil. I have unplugged it and defrosted it numerous times but within a week or two, it ices up again and all food is lost. I contacted Sears, where we purchased it and asked why they carry and sell a product that is obviously defective. They gave me a number to call for Samsung. Called them and they said that it was covered by them for 5 years but I would have to pay for the first service call but everything after that was covered. In reading ALL of the complaints online, I learned that to fix the problem was approx $500 and that only lasts for a short time until the problem returns. This Samsung product should be recalled since there are thousands of complaints regarding the same issue. We dont have a lot of money and a refrigerator that is less than 2 years old should not have a problem that is obviously a design flaw that does not have a permanent fix or repair. I have called local repairmen and none of them want to work on it because they know it cant be fixed and do not want to pit their reputation on the line. How can something like this with the magnitude of complaints not be addressed?

Purchased a French door black stainless refrigerator from Home Depot in 2016. Paid about $4000 for it. The ice maker never really worked well. It leaked constantly causing calcium buildup on the catch tray. Wasn’t too long after that it began to mold around the seal. Eventually it froze up and wouldn’t make ice. I called and it was 2 weeks after year warranty expires. They offered a one time extension. The ice maker was replaced then not even 6 months later I’m having the same issue. I called to complain and was treated poorly. Told they already gave me an extension and asked how long did we expect them to be responsible for my refrigerator, 20 yrs? With sarcasm. BUYER BEWARE: From the day I received the refrigerator, the bottom load freezer never worked. Within a six week period; I made multiple calls to SAMSUNG; was sent two local techs, who was in contact with the samsung; Samsung cancelled the third tech with no explanation and the freezer is still not working. Dealing with the SAMSUNG SERVICE DEPT. has been one long nightmare. They have an 800 number so you do not get to speak to the same person; they are located all over the USA and Dominican Republic. I was given misinformation, hung up on, transferred to other agents multiple times and had to re-explain the reason for my call over and over again. The agents read off a script about their service policy I cannot get a replacement refrigerator until a part has been replaced twice AND THEIR service tech deems it unrepairable; I cannot receive reimbursement for lost food until the refrigerator has been fixed. The problem with my appliance is that there was a factory defect with the freezer drawer, the techs were telling me, but not communicating this information to the SAMSUNG TECh. I was assigned a case worker after the initial conversation about the problem, I never heard from them again.

We have had the Samsung DW80F600 for 2 years and it is not working. Called customer service and ended up in some foreign country with staff who had no idea what to do. The only solution was to call a technician which I did and awaiting for him to show up. I suspect that as with most posts here, the technician will tell us that the repair will cost a few hundred dollars in which case it will be cheaper to buy a new one. WE had a GE dishwasher for 20 years and never had a problem with it. Like their Samsung phones, I suspect they cannot produce good products. Many other good brands to choose from.Updated 9/21/2016 - Samsung has a con system going on. THEY KNOW THERE IS A QUALITY PROBLEM WITH THEIR DISHWASHERS AND THEY CHOOSE TO DO NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. Please read the rest of the post. I promised to let you know what happened with the fix of my dysfunctional Samsung DW80F600, 2 year-old dishwasher.I called the appliance repair company Totem Appliance that was recommended by Samsung and set up an appointment for September 21, 2016. I was told that they cannot tell me over the phone what the problem was until the technician had a chance to diagnose the problem. The fee for this diagnosis I was told is $115. The technician showed up and lo and behold was carrying a replacement part. I asked him what that part was and he told me that this is the part that needs to be replaced. The exact part is the Brake Case Assembly - I believe part # DD82-01111A (as shown on the package). I asked him how he knew what the problem was and his response was that Samsung fielded many such complaints and by now they know what the problem is. Reluctantly I told him to go ahead and fix the problem. The cost for this part is $400 (a new dishwasher costs $600). He pulled the dishwasher out and replaced the bracket case assembly. He turned the dishwasher on to test it and amazingly it did not work. The Smart Auto error was blinking. He said that the dishwasher senses water and we need to leave the dishwasher door open for 24 hours for the water inside to dry or alternatively, he can dry the water himself. I said he should dry the water rather than us wait for 24 hours (not knowing whether we are going to see this company again). He pulled out the dishwasher (again), flipped it over, and unscrewed the bottom panel. Lo and behold, no water to be found, meaning there was no water as he claimed. He then said he needs to look at the ecs sensor. He took it apart, cleaned it and screwed back the bottom panel. He turned the dishwasher on and my goodness, it did not work again. The Smart Auto light was blinking again. He then said he has to call head office. He did call head office and they told him he needs to replace the pcb which is the main control board. He told me that this part is warranted for 5 years. I wanted to know why did he not replace the pcb in the first place and he said that Samsung told them to replace all three parts, regardless of the problem and then charge for the ecs and bracket case assembly only. In other words, since the pcb is under warranty they want to give you the impression that you are getting a so called deal.Since he did not have the pcb on him, nor did he have a replacement ecs sensor, he said that he will return the next day (Thursday, September 22) with the parts and replace them. So what does this all mean - 1. This is one big CON; 2. Rather than first replace the warranty part, namely the pcb, they sell you the most expensive parts first and if the fix does not work, only then they offer a replacement pcb. This to me is cause for a class action lawsuit and perhaps inform the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to trigger a recall. If you all agree with me then lets go for it. We all know by now the problems that Samsung is having with the Galaxy phone suggesting that quality is not part of the Samsung culture and secondly, they think their customers are stupid.

Own two Samsung refrigerators, one in FL one in NJ, both have continuous freeze problems. The larger refrigerator 4 doors, rf4287HARS, freezes up below the freezer drawer, while the 3 door model freezes up below the vegetable & meat drawers. I have a RFG29 Samsung French Door Refrigerator that is about 7-8 years old and no longer within warranty. We started having ice build up under the large slide-out crisper drawer that hindered getting the drawer to slide out. Called the Samsung US for help and the customer service person said it needed to be level - they explained when the screw down levels in front touched the floor, it was level. Of course that didnt work, so called back on a Thursday and another representative told me how to identify the error code on the control panel - that indicated a freezer evaporator defrost system failure. The rep then set me up with an afternoon service appointment for following Monday, and the service company would contact me to confirm the appointment. Was also told that a flat $120 fee would need to be prepaid. The repair service company called the next day and said their first available appointment time was the following Thursday between 1:00 and 5:00 - said the Samsung Customer service could only give me a preferred time, and not an actual appointment time since the local service company controlled their schedule. Also paid them the $120 fee via credit card. When Thursday afternoon came, I heard nothing and called Samsung Customer Service to find out what was going on. The Customer Service Rep checked and found that the first repair service had transferred the repair ticket to another repair service who quit doing business with Samsung the day before my scheduled service, and my ticket was transferred to a third repair service. The Rep gave me their name and number, and said they should contact me to schedule service. (I did check and found that my credit card had not been charged by the first repair service.) I checked reviews for the third repair service, and saw they were generally bad.I called a non-factory authorized repair service the next day (Friday) who came out that afternoon and immediately told me the problem had a factory service repair kit which they would install for a flat fee (suspect it was cheaper than Samsung) and warranty it for a year (think Samsung authorized service was either 30 or maybe 90 days). They ordered the part, came back the following Monday and installed the factory repair kit, and things seem to work fine. I never heard from the third Samsung authorized repair service. To top it off, I got a call from Samsung US Customer Service who wanted to know where I bought my refrigerator. Further, since Samsung could not provide a service tech, they would give us full credit toward a new replacement refrigerator. However, as my wife said, how are we supposed to shop for a refrigerator under COVID-19 lockdown? I told the Rep that I had the refrigerator repaired, and Samsung could pay the repair bill ($300) - the Rep then informed me since I didnt use an authorized Samsung repair service, Samsung would not pay for the repairs and also that I was no longer eligible for a replacement refrigerator! I politely (not) told her it would be a cold day in hell before I ever had another Samsung product. Subsequently, I received an email from Samsung canceling my repair ticket. At least I found what I consider a very good appliance repair shop locally.

We purchased the WaterWall dishwasher, three rack on March 22/2016. But we did not have it delivered until mid May because we didn’t move into our house until then. We actually paid 999.00 for it. Up until 6 weeks ago we had no problems with it. We are a retired couple with no children in our home. I would load and use the dishwasher about every 2-3 days. Being only two of us, it wasn’t over worked at all. The Famous 7 E code came to our attention. Not knowing a whole lot about the dishwasher I contacted Samsung and basically got told, I had no warranty. To make matters worse I live 3.5 hours from a appliance repair company. Knowing we could not afford a call out fee for someone to travel to and from our home never mind the cost of the repair, we decided after reading so many complaints about this model we would buy a different brand. It would be cheaper in the long run. My only concern is that if youre going to buy a major appliance. Do your homework and look it up on the reviews. I wish I had done mine and I definitely wouldn’t have bought this machine.

The stove top works well, but the energy efficiency standard is not accurate. For an example, when a recipe indicates the dish needs to be baked or roasted at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, that dish will not be done. It is necessary to increase the cooking time and temperature to 375 degrees or sometimes 400 degrees to register the safe temperature that the dish can be eaten. The price was right, the delivery from a local company was less than desirable and the technical personnel were inexperienced.

Easy clean and performs well. Both the induction range and oven are fast to temperature and cooking abilities. The food is always cooked to perfection. My family and guests enjoy the meals cooked with rave reviews.

I have a Samsung French Door Fridge. DONT PURCHASE ONE!! It is the most frustrating piece of expensive equipment one could own. The ice maker has a mind and a life of its own. It freezes up every two to three days and is totally useless. I am so disappointed with this product and from what I have read above getting help from Samsung is as hopeful as a dog chasing its tail and catching it. You go round and round in circles. I paid almost $2400.00 for it Canadian. I would not recommend this machine to anyone. Stay far, far away from this beastly machine. It is a disaster waiting for a place to happen.

We purchased a Samsung side by side model RS25J5822DSG from Home Depot. We had it delivered and when it was delivered they tried to put the bins in the refrigerator door. They would not fit. Home Depot would not do a thing about it. They told us to call Samsung. I called their customer service and have had nothing but a run around on the unit. They sent us new bins and of course they would not work because the mold in the door is defective. I am requesting a brand new refrigerator and still no response. I will keep on this. It is ** to see that even the stores that sell them will not back the product.
