Samsung refrigerator is the biggest piece of junk. No ice in dual ice maker model. Freezes over, fraudulent temperatures. Screen reads 0 for freezer 38 degrees for frig. Real temperatures 0 for freezer 49 degrees for refrigerator. Unsafe food storage, food spoilage, food with mold and bacteria due to inconsistent temperatures. The Samsung French doors, freezer on bottom refrigerator sometimes keeps things cold, and sometimes doesnt. The temperature read-out always, always says 37 degrees F, but thats not true. The compressor overheats causing ice build-up in the vents, causing the temperature to rise even though it still says 37 degrees! Food must be removed and the fridge thawed. This has happened multiple times over the course of three years! This is not just a one in a million lemon. This is a DEFECT that others have experienced, and Samsung is aware of it. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator. You will regret it. The fridge was purchased in 2014 for a little more than $2,000. Waste of money.

Purchased in 2010 counter depth, bottom freezer 19 cu. ft. in black, model RB195ABBP. Worked fairly well until 2015 in Dec. Some water in the veg/fruit bins and under the drawers as well. I thought a spill but continued as months passed. Next came ice formation in and under veg/fruit bin. I unplugged, thawed and cleaned up. Also increased temperature as directed in troubleshooting section. Not 8 days it happened again as I sit today. Ive leveled as directed as well. I emailed Samsung to no avail. Now the touchpad temp controls dont work!!! Im so done with this fridge. Its now out of warranty and I must start looking for a new fridge. The company needs to be held accountable for their products or get out of the business. Whoever heard of a fridge of 5 years to start having problems! Ive kept refrigerators for 15 or more years!

I have brand new house. I bought all Samsung appliances. The dishwasher started smoking and leaking. I call Best Buy to file a complaint. They told me I should call Samsung. I did call Samsung to file a complaint about dishwasher and damages to my floor. They sent out a technician to repair dishwasher and for me to take pictures of damages. Technician came out 4 times before he said it could not be fixed and just tell Samsung to replaced. When I received credit from Best Buy, I BOUGHT AN LG DISHWASHER. I will never buy a Samsung product again. They have yet to replace my floor. I call twice a week. They keep transferring me to ESR team that says it is being handle in upper management and they dont have a number for them or their insurance company number.

I brought the Samsung french door refrigerator in 2016. Not even a year later, the ice maker froze up and started making noises. Lowes came and fix it and told us that its not going to have any more problems. Unfortunately, it had the same problem five more times in three years. When I call Lowes to complain, the supervisor was so rude and told me to buy bags of ice to solve my problem. I paid more than $3,000 for this refrigerator and I am really frustrated that this issue has not been recalled. I will never buy another Samsung product again and I am still dealing with this.

We purchased a complete package of Samsung appliance for our new home on October 2013 and they got installed by end of November 2013. Thinking that Samsung had a good reputation for other electronics the decision was made without hesitation. Well that was a mistake. First the refrigerator ice maker started to make continuous noises, and the middle drawer got stuck every time you try to closed. Both issues where fixed under warranty. Then, surprise it was the dishwasher turn to break. It started to not dry and show an error s5, which meant that was not draining properly. I called Samsung and they say that it was out of warranty. I was a month too late meaning it only lasted 13 months. An appliance that gets used maybe 3 times a week and cost over 550.00 plus tax, however they did offer a extended warranty for an additional cost, Of course. My thoughts about this, I will not pay extended warranty. I will not repair the Samsung dishwasher, since I know it will break again and I will not buy a Samsung product again. Maybe we need to start buying American again (At Least The Name). Lets make sure that the word gets around that Samsung is not what they seem to be. They know that the dishwasher they make have a lots of problems and complaints and they do nothing.

Purchased a Samsung washer, dryer and refrigerator approx. 1 month ago. On 9-29 fridge and freezer stopped working while at work, thawed out and spoiled food. Fridge and freezer will not cool. Washer is also now listed as defective due to safety hazard. Frequent phone calls to Samsung has resulted in no resolution to this issue. I am constantly being told I have to wait 24-48 hours to hear from different departments. Today, I was told I have to wait another 24-48 hours to hear from someone in Refunds and Exchanges via telephone. I asked to contact them directly but was told they have no phone number because they are a back office department. I expressed my displeasure and asked for my call to be elevated past Executive Customer Relations and was told thats not possible, they are the highest level of customer service.I then asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I would have to be put on an list and someone would contact me back in 24-48 hours. 2 days to speak to a supervisor? I was informed that if an exchange of the refrigerator is decided on, it would be another 15 days for delivery. This is totally unacceptable. Not only the frequent waiting for 24-48 hours to be contacted by Samsung but I was denied the opportunity to speak to a higher level of customer service. On the day I purchased these major appliances I spent $3000 total and now 2 out of the 3 appliances are defective. I am unhappy with the customer service I have received up to this point. They are not receptive to the issues. The time frame that Samsung is putting me on is unacceptable. It shouldnt take 48 hours to make a decision for a customer that has invested thousands of dollars in Samsung. In the meantime, I have a dead $3000 refrigerator in my kitchen with no resolution and nowhere to turn as far as customer service. This was my BBB complaint. After filing a BBB complaint, I was contacted by a rep from the Office of President. She acknowledged my current problem with the refrigerator. She explained that she will now be handling my case and I can contact her directly. She explained she is still waiting to see the result of my issue from the refunds and exchange office and she will contact me the next day. The next day arrived and I had to call them to find out the results. I was told the request to exchange the fridge was kicked back (declined) because there are no service programs in the area. I am now stuck with a refund.I expressed my concern for this due to the fact that I purchased the fridge on sale, and its listed on Samsungs website for $2999. I paid approx $1800 and will be losing the value of the fridge by receiving a refund. After back and forth explanations, she explained how I would be receiving a call from the refunds and exchange office... in another 24-48 hours. Today is October 6th. She said I would be receiving a call either tomorrow or Monday the 10th of October. The refunds and exchange office has already seen my case several times and even took action on it, why do they need another 48 hours to review it? So we head into the weekend once again with definitive solution. When I hear from them on Monday, how many more phone calls will need to be waited for and how long till I actually see the refund? Once again I was told there is no higher level of CS, shes following procedures and protocols and there is no way she can expedite the call from refunds and exchanges. After expressing my overwhelming dissatisfaction with Samsung, its customer service and its policies and procedures I inquired how does Samsung go about getting the defective fridge from me. She informed that I am responsible for disposal of the fridge and will not be reimbursed for any money spent from doing so.Once again, this is totally unacceptable customer service from a company of this magnitude. There is no difference between what a standard CS rep can accomplish and what rep from the Office of the President can accomplish. I still wish to pursue my complaint and speak to someone higher in this company. Customers should not be treated like this. I will no longer be doing business with Samsung and will advise friends and family of my experience as well.

I got a Samsung range and it does not go against the wall. It has to sit 3 inches away from the wall because of how the gas valve is high. Messaged Samsung asking them if they could help because it is a hazard in my kitchen for the free back splash kit they offered by sending in your receipt of purchase which I did but because I did not buy it from a store and bought it from a review group they kept declining it over and over. They have the worst customer service. It was a waste of money. They did not care to help at all to solve my problem. I will no longer support Samsung or buy any more of their products and right now every appliance in my kitchen is a Samsung including my TV which will be no more will I buy again.

The worst customer service experience I have ever been apart of. I purchased a new Samsung dishwasher MODEL NUMBER DW80J3020UB/AA, from Conns on October 13th, 2015. It was delivered a few day later, the box from the outside looked fine, no damage to report, all is good. Two weeks later when my contractor had the dishwasher installed it leaked water from the front of the unit. After further examination damage was located inside the dishwasher that was creating the leaking issue. I called Conns to report the damage and was notified by the manager that it was a Samsung issue due to it being after 30 days from purchase and they gave me an 800 number to call. So called Samsung to report the damage, they listened to what I had to say and told me that a service technician would need to come and look at and/or possibly repair the dishwasher. Fine, a tech came to the house, looked, took pictures, called and reported back to Samsung while I was listening and this is what he reported. There is damage to the inside of the dishwasher that cant be repaired, the customer could not have seen this damage from the shipping container and that the dishwasher needed to be replaced. All was good until a few days later I hadnt heard back from Samsung so I called to ask for an update and possibly get the ra number required to replace my dishwasher. I was notified that the service technician reported back to them the damage was cosmetic and therefore the damage would not be covered under the manufactures warranty. I replied to the lady that the technician had reported something completely different to myself and to them while I was listening. She said that another service company would have to be sent out to resolve the issue. Thats what happened, another company came out and looked at the dishwasher and reported to them that the dishwasher was damaged, could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. The customer could not have seen the damage from the shipping container so therefore needed to be replaced. Waiting, waiting, nothing from Samsung, so I called them again for an update and this is what I was told! The damage to your dishwasher IS NOT covered and will not be replaced due to the technicians report that visited our home. I paid $500.00 plus for a brand new dishwasher that was delivered, unusable and will NOT be replaced. I am not rich, $500.00 dollars is a lot of money that normal people cant just throw away but I guess that is what Conns and Samsung expect. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher, model DMT800RHS, S/N A3J7G9MCB02679R, paying just under $1000. After the very first load, it did not clean the dishes. The old dishwasher I had, prior to purchasing the Samsung, performed better! Attempts to get Samsung to replace the dishwasher failed. I have to wash the dishes by hand completely, 100%, before placing in the dishwasher. It gets NOTHING off! Why even have a dishwasher? Im upset because this company should stand behind their product, especially one that is in that price point. Shame on Samsung. Will be replacing this one, and it absolutely bothers me that I made such a costly mistake with a company I thought was reputable.

We tried everything that the internet said to. Made the call, guy came out and had to reset fridge computer. Six months fan went out, 18 months the freezer control board went out. So our warranty had a 3 time lemon rule. Cool new fridge right? No! Had to be same part. So we went on like this till warranty ran out and they would not renew warranty. Samsung top freezer RT21M62135R, nominally 21 cubic feet, is fairly capacious. Unfortunately the lighting in the refrigerator section is front mounted and everything in the rear disappears into the shadows - keep a flashlight handy. The freezer also has a light, something my prior refrigerator did not have. I really like the slide and reach shelf for deli type items - very convenient. The door storage is a bit inflexible. I ordered the model without an ice maker, they shipped it to me anyway despite my attempt to stop it, which they ignored (customer service in the US is impossible to contact - they switched me to Indonesia (sic)! (Consider that I bought this model for energy efficiency, then they ship something I do not want - pure waste.) Even though they took the door off, the delivery service still managed to put eight dents in the door - too easy to dent.

When I purchased my expensive Samsung Refrigerator about two years ago, the installer recommended strongly that I purchase an extended warranty. My reaction was... since my 18 year old KitchenAid that I was replacing never had a single issue in its lifetime (it was just getting dated), I would think that the Samsung engineers would have really learned how to make a solid product. How wrong I was! A few days after the one year warranty expired, the ice maker started to quit. I would defrost it, and then it would work for a while and quit again. Now it has quit completely. Now it is making lots of noise because a fan is hitting an ice build-up on the cooling coils. Ive had to shut it down, move all the contents to our now 20 year old KitchenAid (working great) in the garage, and let the Samsung sit warm for a day before starting it up again. It works for a while, but this continues to be a repeating problem. The ice maker has crapped out completely, and I use the one in the 20 year old Kitchen Aid in the garage. My expensive Samsung is truly a piece of junk not worthy of being called a refrigerator. Never Again!

Although I could write a book about my experience with this refrigerator and Samsungs customer service, I will keep this short. I did like the flexibility of this unit, FlexZone, but overall, its not worth the money, by any means. The ice maker has never worked and after 5 months of use, the compressor has now blown. Purchased refrigerator during October 2015 and appliance began giving problems about 8 months later. After much bureaucracy to get a repair through warranty, the problem still remains. The Ice Maker freezes in the back of the refrigerator and stops the Ice Making mechanism from making Ice until the ice built up in the back is chilled away or melted with a blow dryer. This process needs to be performed every three weeks. Water also leaks from the ice dispenser and the crisper tray seems to accumulate water under it and ultimately it leaks to the floor under the fridge.

I tried to warm up some leftovers and the Samsung microwave model SMH9187ST just stopped. I reset the time and tried again only to have the thing display X and 0 and then went dead. I checked the circuit breakers and all were fine. I checked the manual and unplugged the unit, waited a minute and plugged it in but no luck - still dead. I called customer relations and Gerardo informed me that the unit was out of warranty and he could schedule a repair at my cost. I informed him that this was our first Samsung appliance and having it break just over 2 years when we only warm up leftovers is not acceptable. I told him that we had a LItton counter top microwave which we had for over 20 years without any problems and sold it when we purchased this unit. He checked for any recalls and said that there were no issues similar to mine and I would have to have it repaired. I told him this would be the first and last Samsung product I will ever buy and I will tell my friend and relatives not to buy this crap. I, too, checked Consumer Reports prior to buying this unit just like one of the posters here and bought it because they gave it a good rating. I will not trust them anymore.

I purchased the stainless steel, refrigerator with french doors, bottom freezer, and ice maker. What a $1300.00 mistake!!! The ice maker has no regulator; so, it only stops making ice cubes when the container is so full that the cubes are spilling behind the freezer. Every time we open the freezer ice cubes slide out from under the door and spill all over kitchen floor. We are constantly wiping up melting cubes and there are always wet areas on the floor. I called Customer Service; I was told it was a design flaw and they are aware of it. Unfortunately, there is nothing they can do about it. Seems like an unacceptable answer doesnt it! I want to start this by saying please buy something else. I bought the model # dw80j7550ug and I wish I never did. This thing has a dry feature on it and guess what? It doesnt dry. Ive been on the phone with Samsung a number of times and they tell me that its highly recommended to use a dish washing aid. I dont understand why must I use an aid to dry my dishes. They say it helps to repel water but wait I thought the water is what helps wash the dishes? It gets better, they also said to open it when its done to allow to dry. So now I have to either wait for it to get done not drying my dishes or Ill have to come home to open my dishwasher so that way my dishes dont smell like mildew. Thanks Samsung for such a nice product that doesnt do what it says it will do. It also doesnt have it anywhere on the box or user manual saying you need to babysit your dishwasher. Also, buy some new dish drying towels because our dishwasher that you just bought for over $700 doesnt dry dishes. Samsung lost a long time buyer and supporter. Ill never buy another Samsung product!!

I purchased a Samsung microwave SMH1611B at the Lowes in Douglasville, Georgia in Sept. 2012, paid $167 (sale) for the beautiful merchandise. I brought it home and in Oct. 2012, the microwave began to make a loud noise. As the timer decreased, the noise became louder. I contacted Lowes. They sent out service people to make the repairs, had to replace the transformer. All worked well until Dec. 2012. The microwave started doing the same thing except the noise wasnt as loud so again, I called Lowes. Appointment was set up and the repair man came again but, this time, after explaining to them that it was doing the same thing, they came without the transformer and had to reschedule and they came back on this past Monday in Jan. 2013 to replace the transformer. Today is Wednesday, January15. Now there is no noise today. Its not heating. Must I say how disappointed I am with this microwave? You have to have 3 service calls and the technicians have to tell you that the microwave is no good for them to give you another microwave. This doesnt make any sense. I should have taken the microwave back and got my money back. I will never purchase another Samsung microwave as long as I live. It is, however, still under warranty being that I just purchased it in Sept. 2012 and its now Jan. 2012.

We purchased our Samsung RFG297AAWP French door refrigerator in June of 200
We purchased our Samsung RFG297AAWP French door refrigerator in June of 2009. When it was delivered and hooked up the freezer did not work. Three days later a new box was delivered and hooked up. About 2 years later the ice maker quit working and we discovered ice build up under the large deli drawer. We gave up on the ice maker because we knew that was a problem with a lot of refrigerators and started making ice in. We had a plumber come out and put a cutoff in the line to stop the water. He used a piercing type of cut off which did not work so still had water. Last week the freezer quit and we lost all the food. We had a repairman come out (Samsung recommended). He was quite good and only charged $40.00 but the bad news is that there are several computer boards on the back and after some research he found that other repair people had gone through the board changing and the freezer still did not work. We would have been out that expense and still no freezer. He would have changed out the boards for us but we still would have had the water problem in the fridge. It was 6 years old, and it was his belief that we had a blockage in the refrigerant in the freezer evaporator. The compressor was working fine for the evaporator for the refrigerator. Our last refrigerator was 10 years old, 6 years ago, and it is still going strong in my sisters basement where they use it to freeze their garden produce. I ordered a new refrigerator yesterday, not a Samsung and truly would not recommend Samsung refrigerators to anyone. I really cant believe that they are a refrigerator that is pushed by Best Buy, Lowes, Home Depot, etc.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2010. I had an extended warranty on the fridge. During the 5 years of the warranty I had to have it repaired 6 times for the same problem which is the back keeps freezing up and will not defrost. For the last 2 years I bought another warranty from Sears. They came out every 4 months to defrost and replace the fan and the defrost sensor. I called Samsung and they refuse to give me my money back for the unit. The customer service is horrible. So if you have any sense DONT BUY. I paid $1,995 for this model. Now they are stating they will only give me $427.00 because it has depreciated in the seven years of owning it.

I bought my Samsung French Door fridge November of 2013. The ice maker has frozen up several times and has cost $700-$1000 to thaw. Its because the door flap gets turned in and you cannot tell the doors didnt shut. Samsung could replace the flap on the door with one that would latch like the newer models. Samsung needs to get out of the appliance business. Read the reviews. Their appliance products are terrible.

Model # RF28HMEDBSR/AA-07. I bought it in July of 2015. In 2017 I had to replace the entire water filtration system. In 2018, I had to replace the ice maker unit. It took well over 3 months for the repairman to get the part in. Now, I am sitting here writing this, so very frustrated as my refrigerator again needs a new ice maker unit. The back wall of the unit is coated in ice and in order to defrost, it must be done manually - I use a hairdryer. The drink dispenser is a constant drip of slushy water. If you want a refrigerator try Whirlpool or another trustworthy company. Samsung is not the company.

They say that they have their own repairmen trained to make the repairs. I sent $3000. on my fridge and now I cannot get it fixed for 11 days. I run a childcare from my home and so I am now losing income for those 11 days as well as all the money spent on the extended warranty and the fridge repairs which they wont even give a rough estimate cost. Ditto on all the above comments. Unfortunately we did not see the reviews before our dishwasher purchase 1 yr ago. Just like others have commented on, dishes werent cleaning, drying, or finishing cycles. And dont forget about all the blue sensor lights flashing all the time without any indication of the problem. Service came out and told us its the Display Unit that needs to be fixed. A $300.00 part, even though we just paid $600.00 for it brand new a yr ago. Contacted customer service to explain our issue, and they said there is nothing they could do and good luck. At the same time they were servicing my Samsung dishwasher, they were trying to fix the Samsung refrigerator that we bought on the same day. REALLY! Both appliances have problems at the same time? How nice for Samsung. So after paying 2 service fees on the same day for 2 appliances, we have decided to throw the dishwasher out in the driveway and put a sign on it saying FREE - Junk. We did mention to customer services about all the horrible reviews, and they could careless because they know more unaware consumers are going to make the bad choice of buying anything from Samsung.

Purchased our refrigerator (RF23HCED) a little over two years ago. Problems right away. So happy we added the five year Service Contract when purchasing. The design of the drawers is such that they are extremely difficult to remove for cleaning. The vegetable drawer has places where dirt gets into but you can’t reach to clean. Gross! And then there are the ice makers. Both have been replaced already. Still the top ice maker barely functions. The serviceman and I are like personal friends. I would NOT recommend this refrigerator! Im 65 years old. Ive owned a home since I was 19 years old. Ive had experience with most if not all of the major brands over the course of time. In 2016 we purchased a Samsung Kitchen suite of Black Stainless steel appliances. We have had calls on every appliance except the microwave. The stove fried the electronics the very first time we used the self cleaning oven function. It currently sits with most the digital readout gone. The refrigerator is the worst of all of them. The ice maker freezes up about every 6 weeks, and the refrigerator itself freezes up needing complete unplug defrost every 5-6 months minimum. The dishwasher was super quiet for about a year then started making noise. Repairman says its the pump... I can replace it for $275 and it will do the same thing in about a year. If it were me Id wait for it to quit working all together. You couldnt give me another set of Samsung kitchen appliances. I wouldnt waste my time removing the Samsung junk I own to replace with more junk. Never buy appliances because theyre the only ones with the color you like!

RF series fridge freezes up, leaks water on to floor causing damage to flooring. Ice maker also freezes up. Must defrost fridge for an entire day every month or so. I have this fridge for 1.5 years. Love the size, but milk is always going sour before the expiry date; cheese molding; and leftovers didnt last. Rationalized all these things - must be leaving the milk out too long, must have dirty kids hands touching the cheese, etc. Because the digital temperature reading said it was 34 deg in the fridge, it must be accurate right? Wrong! Verification by 3 separate mercury and digital thermometers show that the fridge compartment temp runs 40-50 deg and thats in winter (wonder how warm it had been running last summer!). This is everywhere in the fridge compartment, top shelf, bottom shelf, door, right next to the ice maker, etc. I cannot find any place in the fridge that runs less than 40 degrees. In hindsight, no wonder food was spoiling! The fridge programming will not allow the temperature to be set any lower than 34F. Service technician has replaced the main control board and the digital touch screen assembly. Have not resolved the problem. I phoned Samsung customer support and was only told that since the factory warranty is expired, they can and will do nothing. Suspecting a design flaw that they are aware of. I will update if ever fixed. Freezer and flex-drawer hold reasonable to programmed temperature (generally 2-6 degrees above programmed temp, sometimes 10 degrees higher), but those compartments have larger programming range. Can program the freezer to -8 and the flex-drawer to 29, so even if they run higher than programmed, it is OK for food storage. But even with fridge set as low as it will go (34), it still is too warm for safe food storage.

I purchased a black stainless steel appliance package and its been a nightmare. Initially the stove was scratched during installation, so they sent me a new one. The new one sounded like it was about blow up and clicked and clicked. The lady said it was because its cold in Colorado?! They swapped it out. Then there is the refrigerator. With the first one, the right door wouldnt stay open, so they sent out someone to fix it. After he fixed it, the right door stayed opened, but the left one didnt. They claimed thats how they are supposed to work for efficiency. No, thats simply not true. They sent a new one. This one had a terrible buzzing and humming sound every time it turned on. They sent me another one. This one was even worse, but the good news is that the doors stayed opened. Clearly how they should work. So, I let them know about the loud sound and they sent me another one. Its the worst one of the three. Im at a loss. Does Samsung just make a terrible product? The dishwasher doesnt clean the dishes. I always rinse them and make sure there isnt much of anything on them. And it stinks!! I keep the door open, which is annoying. Very very disappointed in the products. This has been going on since I purchased them less than 6 months ago. I have spent hours upon hours trying to talk to someone, emailing, and waiting for my 8 different appointments. I do not recommend their appliances at all. They look good, but not worth the money.

When the representative called to schedule an appointment, they wanted $160 to come out and diagnose the issue. I dont agree with paying $2,800 for an item and getting 4 years of good use out of it, nor do I feel I should have to continue to invest in this item to keep it working, especially in this short period of time. Purchased the Samsung refrigerator Model #RSG257AARS on March 28, 2010 from HH Gregg. July 22, 2013, the refrigerator stopped working. We had never received a written warranty. Looked on Internet at Samsung website and it said there was a ONE-YEAR warranty. Called a repairman. Compressor was bad. Cost of repair approximately $1200. Cost of service call, $80. A couple of days later, the repair company called and said the compressor was under warranty and they would fix it. August 23, 2013 refrigerator stopped working a second time. According to the repairman, Samsung products are JUNK! We looked at Consumer Guides before purchasing and this refrigerator was at the top of the list. Why? I also found (on the Internet) a class action suit filed against Samsung for their shoddy refrigerators. Repairman said Samsung is flooding the market with products that are untested. If I had that instructions, I would have definitely provided you with that. My response to Samsung, why claim you have any support when technical support does not have instructions? The challenge I have, I have a French Door model refrigerator with a bottom freezer, pull out drawer. There are two screws that fasten the handle to unlatch the freezer drawer and to pull the drawer open. The left screw holding the handle fell out. When I tried to screw it back in, there were no threads to screw into. Apparently, the device which the screw was threaded to came loose and fell to the bottom of the inside of the freezer drawer door. All I want are the instructions to open up the door to determine if I need to buy another fasten or what. Samsung says this refrigerator is out of warranty. Electric Range was purchased at Lowes on 10/05/2012. It has always been properly maintained and kept clean. We are seniors and actually do not cook a lot. We noticed when baking items were not cooking properly. We checked to the temperature of the oven. It would heat up to the set temperature and then drop down about 150 degrees. It should say the set temperature but registered lower. We called a very reputable appliance repair company. He diagnosed the lower heating element was bad. Once he got into the area of the element he gasped... He said in 43 years he has never seen an element fuse to the metal sheet. He determined it was not repairable and could possibly be a fire hazard. We purchased a Samsung Washer (repaired 3x) a gas dryer (4x), Dish washer (5x) and now an electric range that is not repairable. Should an electric range last more than 6 1/2 years? Needless to say we went out last night and purchased a new range. It was not a Samsung.

I own numerous Samsung appliances - TVs, Washer, Dryer, and Stove. I also owned (and just removed) a malfunctioning Samsung Over the Range Microwave. I purchased it, knowing it had reliability issues, but it matched my stove and was the right price - so I gave it a shot. Let me first of all state that it made some funny buzzing noises that I didnt like. The keypad never worked great, either, but after about 5 years it may be, it certain buttons became harder to push, and eventually some buttons (and then almost all buttons) stopped working, entirely.Long story short, given another Samsung should have a similarly mounting system, I took a shot and attempted to order another Samsung (yes I know). Well, get this, I order it from Lowes and after multiple bad delivery dates from the Samsung distributor, I ended up having to cancel my order. Yes, even Samsungs own delivery of their microwaves turned out to be a nightmare. That said, I gave up and chose a Whirlpool that looks great, has great review, has a blue readout that match my Samsung stoves blue readout (that was a big deal, btw), and it has good reliability ratings according to Consumer Reports. All in all - Id say the moral of the story here, is to just avoid Samsung microwaves.

They tell me that I will hear back within 1-2 business days, and I have never heard a thing. When Ive called on numerous occasions, the person I speak with apologizes and essentially tells me that they will escalate. We had to have the fan and motherboard replaced last year in June 2012 and shortly thereafter, the ice maker stopped working. Now, the Twin Cooling system appears to be broken and there is consistently standing water below the drawers. This is unacceptable and Ive been reading about hundreds of other similar complaints via the website. Samsung just does not do anything about it. We have 3 small children and now have had mold growing in the refrigerator. We have had this now for 2 years, and I believe it is undoubtedly unacceptable to have to buy a new refrigerator already.

I have had the worst experience with my FIRST and LAST Samsung purchase. My fridge like many others has the issue of the drain tube freezing causing water to drain into your vegetable drawers and under the drawers. It took me a few months to determine this was actually the fridge causing this and not my kids with water bottles. The first agent I spoke to said well why did you wait so long to call, it’s not like this started yesterday. After explaining that I initially thought my kids were placing open water bottles and they were spilling, I was told that I was not covered under warranty as my unit was made in 2014 even though I didnt purchase it till 2015. The agent asked me for proof of purchase and even after I explained it was purchased from a lease to own I was assured that if I had not had the unit for 2 years I would be covered. I sent in my proof of purchase then was told it was not valid and they needed my lease agreement. I again was assured that once that was sent in that Executive Relations has given the go ahead to cover this issue at no cost. I sent in the lease agreement as requested to then be told that I was OOO since the unit was manufactured in 2014 even after I was told they would cover it. I have spoken to several advisors and not one has been able to locate the previous notes on what has been told to me. This has now been an ongoing back and forth for the last 3 weeks. This is a well-known issue on this model and it’s beyond disappointing that a company like Samsung does not rectify the issue when a customer calls in concerning this WELL KNOWN ISSUE. After 3 weeks of back and forth calling I now have to wait another 24-48 hours for the service company to call me and then I still dont know if I will be covered for this issue. I will not ever purchase a Samsung product just in the fact that they are not willing to make things right with a first time customer with a known issue. Customer service goes a long long way and unfortunately Samsung has proven Im replaceable and dont need me as a customer.

Sooo, you have to contact them. My understanding is parts are expensive and not easy to obtain. Who would expect a basically new dishwasher was well cared for to break? Ive got a $20 Mr. Coffee maker thats older than this $650.00 dishwasher that still works. Never. Again.

We purchased this Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF26VABWP in July of 200
We purchased this Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF26VABWP in July of 2009 because we thought it was a superior product. Wrong! It was fine until March of this year and then to the tune of $200 we had to have the repairman defrost the fan, etc. because it was so noisy. And then I discovered the water was leaking inside the refrigerator under the crisper trays. We thought the problem was solved until May of this year when we discovered ice forming under the crisper trays. Another service call to the tune of $200. And then in July, I discovered a repeat of the same problem. Previously when I called Samsung, I was told that if it happened again, they would do something. After 10 calls and faxing information twice, I was told that nothing could be done and that refrigerators only lasted 5 to 9 years anyway. I doubt they would want to pay $200 every three months to keep their refrigerator running properly and I also doubt that they replace their own refrigerator that often. Every time you call, you have to give the model number, your name and phone number and then be referred to the executive customer service and repeat the same information. Usually there isnt a supervisor that you can talk to and so you have to call back again and go through the entire thing again. My opinion is that if you have to do this enough times, you finally give up and go away! What a poor recommendation for a company so well known!

Sears has recently advised me, after telling me I was to receive a replacement for this lemon that they will not honor the replacement offer. I received 2 confirmations by phone on this and they (SEARS) sent a service person over to do the return report. I awaited Sears to arrange the replacement BUT instead they reneged after I called them to find out status. Some malarkey about, We dont take fridge back due to faulty ice maker issues... even though they replaced or fixed it several times only to have the problem recur.I have both the factory warranty and the optional Sears on this proximate 2-yr-old EXPENSIVE unit. I have advised Sears by phone that I will take them to court unless they exercise good faith on assurances, promises and warranties. Anyone else out there with endless ice maker issues Id like to know.

I purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator with deli tray and bottom freezer in June 2012. I have had small problems with water pooling in the chill cabinets which Ive been able to deal with. However, its since expanded to a heavy build-up of frost in the freezer. The soft-close feature stopped working weeks ago and the freezer drawer now wont close without putting a huge strain on my back due to the frost build-up. I have been calling around for three days and checking review and appliance sites. I can find no local technician who will take on a Samsung refrigerator repair because they say these refrigerators are simply unreliable and difficult to fix so they stay fixed. (If a manufacturer is going to sell a product, they should ensure there are respected certified repair technicians within that sales area.) Compounding my problem, I have a spine disability that makes it impossible to pull put the refrigerator to try to defrost it. My spine problem requires daily ice packs. The twice-daily struggle to open the freezer door to get to the ice packs has further exacerbated my pain and ability to get around.

I bought a so-called Black Stainless Steel Samsung Range almost two years ago. I recently found out the hard way that this product is really stainless steel covered with a black vinyl coating. This coating is peeling on my range. It also scratches very easily leaving the shiny stainless steel below showing. Samsung charges more for this black vinyl coating yet they will not cover peeling or flaking of the coating in their warranty even if it occurs in the 1st year. They claim their warranty does not cover aesthetics. It is true, shiny stainless steel blotches on your otherwise nice looking range is ugly but does not affect the functioning of the stove which has been good. Samsung offers no remedy for this problem except that you can replace the peeling panels for hundreds of dollars. Apparently all brands of black stainless steel are this way except for Bosch appliances. Stay away from black stainless steel until they make a product that works and the manufacturers back it up with a warranty.

This is the short version of our nightmare with Samsung. Dishwasher (Dishwasher DW80F6000TS/AA) turned itself on at about 2:30 in the morning. Water backed up into sink and overflowed on countertops, then into cupboards and flooded the entire kitchen floor. Tried to turn it off from button on top of washer door. It kept coming back on and continued flooding. Finally turned off circuit breaker in garage. That stopped the washer and water. Called Samsung next day. Very polite lady apologized and promised us that Samsung would repair washer and fix any water damage. They gave us claim numbers for both washer and repairs. Rep from independent Samsung came from Tampa. He took panel off bottom of washer and took a quick look with flashlight. Then had me turn on circuit breaker. He ran it for 15 seconds and said it wasnt the dishwasher. As he was leaving he told me to keep the circuit breaker OFF as Samsung may want this unit shipped to New Jersey for further inspection. Obviously he didnt tell Samsung this. A rep from Samsung sent an email weeks later saying they were denying claims indicating that our dishwasher was fine per their Tampa rep. Homeowners insurance requested estimates from general contractors. $50,000 is the most current one. Its been over 3 months now and we have a company that deals with this kind of issue working with us get this resolved. They said it could take up to 9 months. NEVER USE SAMSUNG!!!

If there was a negative star... thats what I give our four year old dishwasher. It worked okay for the first year, then dishes were always cruddy, even if we carefully rinsed them. We were forever cleaning it the filter, which was never actually dirty, but to no avail. Then, we started getting the dreaded OE error. Wed restart, and it would generally go, though wasting the fill water in drought struck California. Then, it would not work, right before New Years. Repairman came out, correctly diagnosed the problem, replaced the electronics board for $380. Four weeks later, OE flashing again. This time it was the water valve. The repairman did the rest as described by Samsung to diagnose it, as he had the previous time -- I watched. Replaced THAT part, for another $320. Worked once, then OE began flashing. To say that I am LIVID would be an understatement. I called Samsung and got the company line that because it was so old... My last dishwasher lasted 22 years. By the way, we also bought a Samsung refrigerator. Within a year the in-door water began leaking inside the fridge and then freezing under the bottom door, effectively gluing it in place. This, like the OE problem, is a well known problem and Samsung refuses to fix it. NEVER again.

Nothing has happened, thats the problem. We have had issues since we purchased it in March 2014. Almost immediately the popping and hissing noises started. The company said thats common but its cooling, right? If I wanted a noisy refrigerator I would have ask for one. Then during power outages it wont allow you to reset it for 24 hours. It reads as a freezer error and requires a technician to visit. So you have to wait 24 hours to find out if there is or isnt an issue to report. You cant reach anyone except online after 5 or on the weekends. So if your fridge goes down Friday at 5 you are at the mercy of a Tyler on the Samsung website who says the same thing every time...... this error needs a technician, here is a number or can an email. Then the wait. We are on the phone for the first time with a foreign speaking woman who is giving us the......a technician will call you in 24 hours. Meanwhile we have an airplane in our kitchen and no idea if our food will survive. The technician will call to set up a time within 24 hours. No idea when the actual guy will make it to our house. Worse experience I have ever had with a company. Never will I buy from them again.

Just like everybody here, I got this error for my Samsung microwave (model SMH9187W), which is just a bit over two years old. I arranged for service myself by a Samsung authorized service company. The repair cost $205.90. The company diagnosed the microwave as needing a new keypad. While waiting for the company to come back with the part and install it, I contacted Samsung about getting reimbursed for the problem. To my surprise, they did have a program in place to reimburse people, but only if you arranged for service through them and only if it was the control panel. If it turned out to be the keypad, they wouldnt pay. My service person came back, installed the keypad (which he said was the recommended fix in Samsungs own manual for repairmen) and my microwave now works. I contacted Samsung again because the invoice from the repair company says they actually replaced the electronic control board. I think the repair person is maybe using the terms interchangeably. At any rate, Samsungs new excuse for not paying me now has nothing to do with how my microwave was repaired, but because they have no way to reimburse me; despite the fact that I have a detailed invoice, that the repair fixed the problem and that it was performed by an authorized Samsung repair company. I just wrote a letter to the CEO and told him I would never, ever buy another Samsung product.

We bought a side by side Samsung Fridge and Freezer. Within the first year the motherboard broke and Samsung came to fix it with no charge. 3 years later out of warranty the fridge broke again. It took one of their technicians 3 weeks to come out due to them giving bad service. They more worried about the R570.00 call out fee rather than providing excellent service. After 3 weeks technician came and said there was a leakage, rusted pipe and it needed gas. Come on Samsung. After 3 years a fridge cannot need gas. I had a Fridge side by side Fridgemaster for 15 years and it never needed gas. Its abnormal and I know it is a faulty fridge.I told one of Samsung people yesterday I am a very unhappy customer and is only paying because I have to get it fixed. It costed me buying a bar fridge as Samsungs waiting period is pathetic. I was quoted R450.00. I have a call recording and emails sent to them. I intended buying a Samsung washing machine but NO SAMSUNG PRODUCTS ever. I am telling the world out there dont ever opt for a Samsung Fridge. They sell faulty products and would not replace it. My fridge still looks brand new as we working and only uses it at night and over weekends but I made a big mistake as the product is not cheap over 10,000.00. I am still waiting on them now to call me to say when the pipes will be fixed and the gas. Suppose to come Saturday but I will wait and see if I receive a phone call today.

We purchased a Samsung OTR microwave model SMH9187W (from Sears) in June 2011 and it was installed in July by Sears. I returned from a 3-week trip in mid-August and found the microwave door ajar and the light on. The latch hooks on the door had no tension and could not keep the door closed. Everything seemed in working order when I hand held the door shut. I called Sears and they said, Sorry, youre one month out of warranty. For $75.00, well send a serviceman out, but youll have to pay for parts and labor in addition to that. However, they offered a deal of almost $300.00 for a service contract to take care of the problem. Big deal. I can buy a new microwave (not a Samsung and not from Sears) for almost the same amount. So much for the consumer reports and salesman recommendation! So far, Samsung has provided no more encouragement. They recommended a close by repair service phone number and when called, they said they can supply the part for repair, but did not get back to me on a price. When asked, Is it difficult to replace the part? The response was, Not for us. Such beautiful concern. I asked, Are there instructions with the part? No. How do you people stay in business? Beginning to sound like pre-WWII Japanese junk.

I purchased my Samsung Refrigerator RM255LASH from Lowes on Christmas Eve (the only place open with a refrigerator we could take that day). It was the last one and a floor model, but we had no choice. Also, the price was $2,100, which is quite high for a refrigerator but again we had no choice. After three years, the icemaker stopped making ice. We did not do anything about it. Then it started leaking water but again we did not do anything about. I thought it had something to do with the icemaker. Then the freezer stopped freezing. Again, I procrastinated and did not call Samsung. In January of this year, it started making a horrible noise and stopped getting cold. At this point, I contacted Samsung because there are no local appliance repairmen willing to come and look at a Samsung refrigerator. There are no parts available to them. I had someone Samsung recommended to come out and look at it. Its something that should be covered by the five-year warranty. I was assured by two people at Samsung that they would take care of it even though I could not produce a receipt (my Lowes receipt was completely faded). Now after three months of going back and forth between the appliance repair company and Samsung, they said they will not cover it unless I produce a receipt. After reading the many complaints about Samsung refrigerators, it seems to be the norm that they do not last for more than 3-4 years. They are overpriced and inferior products. I would warn people not to buy Samsung because of all of the above and also their poor customer service.

I bought my Samsung DW80F600 less than 2 years ago. Clearly it was not correctly repaired. This time I google the symptoms and it seems it is a pump problem, not what was fixed last time. Call Samsung and they want another service fee of $100 to fix same exact problem from 3 weeks ago. My answer to is trash this dishwasher and start over. Cant believe this appliance didnt even make it 2 years. I really wish I didnt also have a Samsung refrigerator and range. Dont make my mistake. My new motto is anything but Samsung.

So spoke to them again and they hooked me to another which was supposed to come after 7 days, now I waited for them for 7 days. Stayed at home so that I dont miss them but no-one came to fix. Now I again chatted with support and same thing, We have prioritized your ticket and they will get back. No resolution. I do and they tell me that the pictures show prior damage and they won’t warrant it. I ask what damage they are talking about as it had no damage other the crack that happened while the water was boiling. I was told that there were scratches on the top and a hole. First, we use our every day and there are small scratches where pots and pans sit on the burners and get moved. That’s called normal use. Second I informed them that there is no hole in the the top now, the past or ever. I was told the pictures showed a hole caused by the crack. They actually said I had a hole in my glass top caused by the defective top cracking. Wow. But since there are a few scratches and a made up hole in the top it voids the warranty.

The original fridge I had purchased had a defective water/ice dispenser. Initially the Hudsons Bay wanted to have it serviced rather than replaced, despite it being delivered in that condition. The Samsung service people didnt show up for the booked appointment. After fighting with the Hudsons Bay to replace the fridge 9 months later, after taking the complaint to The Star, through the Hudson Bay Executive Service Department arrangements were made for the fridge to be replaced. On the second Samsung fridge that was delivered, the right door on the fridge is in excess of 1/2 inch from the top of the fridge, right across the whole door and in excess of 1/2 lower, both on the top and bottom of the right door than the left door.Samsung claimed it was a leveling issue, sent me instructions on how to level it and told me to do it myself. Every individual I consulted with agreed it is impossible for it to be a leveling issue; it is a manufacturing defect. The fridge is under warranty and despite calling back and speaking with a supervisor, Samsung has not responded and will not deal with their defective product. Overall, my whole family is significantly disappointed. We bought both a fridge and an oven/stove from Samsung, and both of them started to malfunction before we were even done paying them off. The knobs on the stovetop are poorly engineered and will easily turn if something accidentally knocks into them (like a pot handle or your arm)--this has led to stovetops accidentally turning on and burning our dinner multiple times. The lower right stovetop also gets unusually hot and the lower left stovetop works unusually slow, even when the knobs are turned to the same setting--this had led to food burning on the lower right stove even when its on low and left unsupervised for just a couple minutes. Dont even get me started on the fridge that has its flimsy door-shelves breaking off (I realize thats a review for another time).

We purchased this microwave (SMH1987ST) in July 2010 and never had a problem until a month ago. The microwave would just come on by itself randomly, usually in Baked Potato mode. Only opening the door would shut it off. It was terrifying because I had no confidence in leaving home or sleeping at night with it plugged in. I googled this issue and found common complaints of the same nature on many different forums, a good bit of them here. I then called Samsungs customer service line and got the run-around that it was no longer under warranty and theyd send a tech but it was on me. I then posted on their Facebook page with the issue and was told to call back and ask for the Executive Customer Service team. When I did, I got a little pushback on being put through to them but eventually was. I told the Exec team representative the issue, that they knew about it and that there were over 300 complaints on this website alone. That seemed to get their attention. They sent out a tech last week, he ordered the part and came back today and installed a new control board free of charge. He did say he frequently sees this same issue or the one where people get the dreaded SE message and the microwave panel doesnt work at all. My advice is to be firm and use social media to get their attention. They WILL make it right when pressed to do so. I never would have pursued it further had I not seen other posters say that asking for their Legal Dept. or mentioning the bad reviews got them satisfaction.

We have had our refrigerator for about 3 years and had many problems with it. The defrost drain continually stops up and the water pools up in the crisper, the meat compartment and the bottom into the refrigerator. You have to unload the refrigerator and manually defrost it (takes 24 hours or more). This lasts for about 6 months and you have to do it again. The ice maker is noisy and continually drips water out of the dispenser. The ice maker also sweats inside which causes many problems. The doors are very hard to close and keep close. When you shut one door, it pushes the other door open. You must make sure you push both doors at the same time. Samsung was no help even though this is a widespread issue with their refrigerators. Will never buy a Samsung product again!

We bought a Samsung side by side refrigerator on July 2013. We were so proud to get a top-notch refrigerator, with cold water and ice maker. Six months later the food in the refrigerator started freezing. We remedied it with turning the temp indicator all the way down. It still froze some of the food. We threw away countless heads of frozen lettuce and frozen tomatoes. We still were not very upset, thinking it was only temporary. A year and 2 weeks later, there started to be a grinding noise from behind the freezer. The warranty had expired so we called a repairman. He was here looking at the fridge for about 1 half hour, and I asked him what the problem was. He said, The main problem is you bought a Samsung. I didnt understand. Now he said the whole back end of the freezer compartment is completely iced over and the evaporator fan is burned out. He said it would take 2 or 3 weeks to get a part. It remedied a part of the problem, but now it keeps freezing over and we have to manually defrost it every 3 weeks. We have to wait for all the ice to melt and put towels on the floor around it to keep from damaging the floor. We have decided to live with this problem until we can save up enough money to buy a new refrigerator. We dont think it will be a Samsung. We bought a 55 inch Samsung Ultra High Definition Television 2 and half years ago. We couldnt be any happier with the clear picture and excellent sound. Our suggestion to Samsung would be to get out of the appliance business and stick to making goods that you do best. Our trust is broken with the snazzy-looking refrigerator with all the bells and whistles.
