French door refrigerator model RF263BEAESR/AA. This POS is 3 1/2 yrs old. Ref makes a racket after there is ice buildup and fan hits ice. Only way to stop noise is removing all shelves, removing inside panel in rear and chopping away at ice. This has to be done at least once a month. Getting ready to check it out the door. Do not buy SAMSUNG. First time service man said nothing can be done to permanently correct it. Its been going on now for over a year. Now we do it ourselves. Apparently there is a lawsuit regarding this problem.

I bought a Samsung French three door refrigerator. Ice maker froze over, major ice build up in the back panel of the unit. The fan began hitting the ice build up. I called Samsung, a representative told me parts and labor were covered for 5 years. Technician shows up and tells me the evaporator fan and defrost sensor are bad. Technician tells me those items are not covered. I called Samsung while the technician is here working on the unit. Samsung tells me again the units cooling system is covered under warranty. The technician tells me and the Samsung representative the parts are not covered. Samsung representative tells me the evaporator fan and sensor are not covered because they are not part of the cooling system. I watch the technician out sealer around the icemaker because the unit doesnt have a good seal. 326.00 it costs me to fix the unit. After 55 minutes on the phone, Samsung tells me they cannot help with the cost. I spoke with Dianna and Henderson in customer service. I WILL NOT BY ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT AGAIN.

2014 I purchased model RF217ACRS refrigerator from Sears. Went well until I had problem when the freezer defrosted and lost all my food. Called Samsung and they gave me a company to come out. They came out and recharged the unit. Okay for a couple weeks and put dye to see if there was anymore leaks and to seal any leaks. About three weeks later freezer went to 57 degrees. I called and rep came out. He pulled lower freezer panel and he asked me when I replaced the coils. I told him it was a new fridge and only purchased in February of 2014. So as I see it I purchased a reconditioned fridge from Sears at full price. Still waiting to see what they are doing to do. I also made purchases of a stove and dishwasher at the same time. Took picture of the reconditioned coil also.

RF263BEAESR/AA - We bought this fridge less than two years ago. I agree with the other reviews that it is a bit noisy but thats not the worst problem we have. The ice maker is awful! The ice remains in the chute (in the door) and then melts and leaks out of the dispenser! We end up with water dripping down the front as well as inside the fridge, in the door shelves and under the produce drawer. We have to keep a folded paper towel under the dispenser constantly! We also have to open the door and reach inside the ice chute with a small spoon to scoop out whatever left over ice remains there or else it will melt and leak everywhere! HOW can we all start a class action suit?

BUYER BEWARE!!! “Stainless steel” is a hoax!!! RUST bleeding through on doors and drawer after 1 year-- not covered in HD’s Protection Plan!!! I purchased an attractive Samsung fridge on December 29, 2016 at the Conshohocken Home Depot -- HD ref # ** 33- Wide, 18 cu. ft. Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator. It fit perfectly for my kitchen design. Home Depot delivered months later, and I started using the fridge in May of 2017. However, after one year I noticed spots of rust bleeding through on the sides and front of the top two doors, and on the top of the drawer, as well. As recommended, I clean the fridge with mild soap and water. I called HD Customer Service. The “finish” is not covered in the HD Protection Plan. They called Samsung. Samsung won’t do anything because the one-year warranty expired. So, there’s nothing to do except grin and bear it. Well, there’s no grin on my face -- pretty outrageous!

We had our brand new refrigerator delivered yesterday. This morning realized the refrigerator part was really not cooling off enough. Checked the degrees in it and it registered 50. We called Samsung and was told we had to go through where we purchased and they in turn contacted Samsung. Samsung at first tried to say 50 degrees was acceptable. We went down to Home Depot with the manual and asked where does it say that. After a number of phone calls Samsung has agreed to replace it but a new delivery one month from now! They leave you high and dry and could care less you are without a refrigerator and why would I want it repaired. I forgot to mention the handle was broken too! At this point I want Home Depot to come pick up the refrigerator and Ill pick out a new one. Not a Samsung brand. Customer service does not care about the consumer! Will never buy that brand again!

Samsung range/oven Model NE595R1ABSR - Upon contacting Samsung service due to a sensor failure in my top oven, I am told that there is no certified service provider available within three hours of my home. Although my parts are supposed to be under warranty, I was told that they had no information on my ability to obtain a sensor and do the repair myself. Because I now have smoke coming out of the control panel when I bake in the lower, and because the lower oven is making the same sounds that the top made just before going out, it looks like I will have to replace the range. I wont make the same mistake in purchase. I wont buy from a box and I wont purchase Samsung.

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher at Lowes less than 4 months ago. Started having problems. Called my very unhelpful Samsung warranty people. All I got was the runaround. The part that holds the seal in place has come off and it leaks on the floor. They told me that they would send a repairman out and told me that I would have to pay for the service call and that the part was a cosmetic issue and that it is not covered by their so-called warranty that is not worth blowing my nose on it. If there is anyone wanting to do a class action lawsuit I am in. I will never buy a Samsung product as long as I live. Lowes Home Improvement was not any help. I did it... but with no respite... Finally I had the technician who checked the fridge and gave me the good news that a part needs to be replaced since its under warranty. I am stunned and disappointed to find that our problems with this refrigera
I am stunned and disappointed to find that our problems with this refrigerator (no cooling in the freezer or the fridge, alternatively or simultaneously, water accumulating in one of the produce bins) are actually very widespread. Worse still, we had purchased TWO of these duds before the problems began. We bought our first RF217 in September 2010 (#1), and the second one for our weekend house in July 2012 (#2). Almost immediately after buying #1, I noticed a small amount of water in the right-hand-side produce bin, which would accumulate over about a week (on average) to the point of requiring removal and emptying of the drawer. I didnt think much about it at first, believing I just needed to make some adjustment.Within 3 months of buying #2, we came home from a weekend in the country to find that the FREEZER (and only the freezer) of #1 (which was two years old and out of warranty by then) had stopped working while we were away, and heated to approximately 50 degrees. We called Samsung and went through a troubleshooting sequence, but nothing worked and they referred us to outside service people. We were surprised by the reluctance on the part of the repair people to work on it; we had to call three different ones before one was willing to come out. THREE visits over three weeks later, we finally had a fully working refrigerator again, and the water accumulation in the bin had stopped. In the winter of 2012 (only 6 months after buying it), I noticed one morning that #2 seemed warm when I opened it, even though the digital display showed the temperature at which I had set it. I remembered the trick the repair people had taught me, which was to unplug the unit and plug it back in to get an ACTUAL reading of the temperatures in the fridge and freezer; they were in 50ish and 25ish respectively. As I waited for Lowes (where we had purchased #2 along with an extended service plan) to open so that I could call them for help, I heard the refrigerator come back on. This went on two more times over that weekend, so we emptied out the unit before leaving. This happened again with #2 while we were at the house, and we have no way of knowing how often it has happened since. Now, #1 is doing the same thing. The refrigerator is warm; when I unplugged it and plugged it back in, the digital display read 63 and 27 for the fridge and freezer respectively. After about an hour, I heard the motor start again and the temperatures are back to normal. At this point, we have lost all faith in this refrigerator and the ability to repair it, so we are going out to buy a new one. I am completely horrified to find that stores are still selling it, and deeply disgusted with the fact that Samsung is not acknowledging that there is a problem.I am not sure that my words can convey the utter disgust my husband and I feel with respect to Samsung as a company. We will never buy anything they make, ever again, and we say so to anyone with whom the conversation arises.

Bought Samsung 28.5 cu. ft. French Door Fridge (spent $2500) in Aug, 2010 from Sears. After 4 1/2 years, it broke (no longer cool in fridge and cold in freezer). Asked Sears repairman to come (inspection costs $85) and said the compressor has to be replaced. Control board may also need to be replaced which costs another few hundreds. Samsung only covers the compressor parts but not labor. Estimated costs for labor is close to $500. It is totally rip-off and the worst experience for buying appliances. Never buy Samsung again for their unreliable products. I have a 26 years Admiral fridge in the garage which still works fine (except bit dripping water under and bit rust on some outside metal hinge).

Approx. 4 yrs ago purchased a Samsung French door fridge. Recently the mullion bar became inoperable. After reviewing possible remedies IT became obvious that a new mullion bar had to be purchased. After purchase was made at a cost of $117.74 I tore the replaced bar apart and discovered the culprit to be a spring in the lower part of the bar. This spring could be made for no more than 50 cents at any reasonably priced manufacturer. I assume that the bar is also made by the Samsung corporation so it would be to their financial benefit to develop this spring as cheaply made as it is, so that additional financial gain could be made by their sale of this bar. My advice to any, who are considering purchasing this refrigerator is BUYER BEWARE.

I just had delivered a Samsung side-by-side counter depth fridge. The ice maker took 3 days to make ice to fill the holder on the door. Water drips from the spout when you fill a glass with water. I have only had this fridge 3 days. The ice maker seems to be an issue with every model Samsung makes. I called customer service three times. I talked to even a supervisor that was not able to resolve my issue. Customer service does not know the operation of their products and had me on hold forever. I was told by a friend that owns the same model that the ice maker produces 7 ice cubes every 90 minutes, which explains why it took 3 days to fill. I also read the same information on a website. I took out the service plan after the 1-year warranty is over. Having to deal with Samsung has been nothing but a waste of time and a huge headache. I am still scratching my head wondering why they are rated the number one fridge on the market. I had an 18-year-old GE that I would gladly take back. It never had one issue. I just wanted to update my kitchen with stainless steel. I would never buy another Samsung appliance.

Samsung Refrigerator, bottom Freezer, refrigerator defrost stopped working,
Samsung Refrigerator, bottom Freezer, refrigerator defrost stopped working, refrigerator completely frosted and refrigerator no longer worked. I defrosted, retried and within 2 weeks same again. I called a local so-called service person, Greg ** and he came and checked it. It had totally frosted over again. He defrosted and said he had to order the part. What he ordered was probably the most expensive part, the computer module. He returned and installed the new module at a cost of $423.73. 2 weeks later, same thing all over. He returned, rechecked and said it appeared to be functioning and there was nothing further he could do with it. At that time I went online and looked up the problem which was also a problem for others. Since it was the defrost that was not working I guessed that it must be the defrost coil or the temperature sensor. I contacted Samsung and ordered an Evaporator Assy, Refrig SMG for $123.28 and a Sensor, Temp F PX-41C TD at a price of $13.82 (all plus taxes and shipping). I did not know in advance that the Evaporator Assy included a temp sensor. I replaced both the Evaporator Assy and the Temp sensor in Aug 2014 and the refrigerator has been working fine ever since. Had I known in advance I would have only purchased the temp sensor first at a cost of $13.82, that may have solved the problem. My biggest complaint is that Greg **, so called service person, chose to replace the most expensive item first, especially since he admitted it was only trial and error and that he could not know exactly what the problem was. He charged $423.73 for something that he did not fix and I later had to fix it myself. I am not a service person and I was able to get the refrigerator working!

I was cooking with my pot on the stove when I heard a pop. I removed my pot and saw a crack glass and indentation mark on my pot. The stove range I used on was the RAPID BOIL side from picture, which need to handle the temperature flux it experience. The crack surface has shattered glass and fine glass dust. I seen crack, shattered glass pictures due to physical damages on Consumer Affairs and other websites for Samsung stove and mine look nothing like that. It is clearly a material properties failure and an engineering mistake.I reported my problems to Samsung and told them Im scared to use the stove as it is unsafe to operate and its also what they suggested until they receive the images and send out technician, which they said will take 2-3 days to review. I sent the pics and wait, hear nothing from them for a week so I call them back. A new agent review my transaction id # and told me that the previous agent close accident close my case. So he issue me a new transaction id and said he will escalate with the supervisor to get it resolve ASAP, and I resent the pictures again. My family been eating out and frozen foods during this ordeal.I call back the next day and nothing happen, so I have to retell my whole problem again to the 3rd agent which went ahead issue me a ticket number with the local technician to take a look at the problem. To bring out this technician, I will have to pay out of my own pocket if it is a cosmetic problem. So today I was going to call the local technician guy to schedule an appointment but Samsung finally call back and said they deny the warranty issue without reviewing the pics. They said they havent receive the pictures, which I sent TWICE. Now, Im trying to schedule with a technician and see where it goes from there. I will follow up with updates.UPDATE ON 03/31/2017: After millions of phone call and countless agents. Scamsung tactics of denying picture not receiving, We have to hang up on you because we cannot leave you the phone for too long, A supervisor will call you back. So the first technician never came out because all he does is just take pictures. He requested I sent the pictures to him via text message, so I sent him 4 pictures. I called in Samsung to check my status, they deny the warranty on Mar 20 on the basis No load/min load using an aluminum cookware with enamel coating. They saying the pot I was cooking in was empty, I was the cooker and there were stuff inside the pot, who cook an empty pot. Aluminum cookware, isnt all Americans use aluminum cookware, but I found out that they use whatever words I misstated in the phone conversation against me. I realized the pot I was cooking on was not aluminum, but actually steel, I tested it with a magnet. So I called back in and was able to reach a manager on the shop floor. And explain the whole process again to her that this was a material defect, I was using RAPID BOIL setting on left side of the stove. The crack was due to the high heat fluctuation and the glass couldnt handle the temperature due to the expansion of material. Further into the conversation, she agree to issue a service repair for the stove due to spontaneous pop while cooking. She scheduled Monday to have a third-party vendor to come out and repair, but all he did was come out and take picture, the same as the first time. Or so I thought he would come out and repair on Monday, Mar 27. But all he did was take a picture on his cracked phone in a dark kitchen room. I thought they issue the repair service for labor and part, called in. And of course it would be different agents every time and from different region. They would say, Lets wait for the pictures and basically they take me a whole loop again, back to square one. I was able to reach an ECR Leena Mar 28 (executive customer relation, someone actually had the power to help) and she told me only 2 of my pictures were uploaded and that from that pictures it was a discoloration damage. I was confused that she cant even see the crack bits and pieces. So she asked me to send in the picture directly to her to review. Pictures were sent to her, and she is downloading it to her computer. She told me the downloading it is take too long, she has to hang up on me and another agent will contact me. Never happen, its always you to have to call in. And again, you have to explain everything but this new ECR agent Karla Mar 29 didnt bother to listen and just outright say my warranty was deny using the denial from Mar 20 instead of reviewing the conversation I have on Mar 28. I asked her, Let me talk to someone that will listen and want to help me out. Remember that the services was offer from the Shop Floor Manager, but they kept saying, Its not on record, I cant find it, I dont know who you were talking to. So Karla told me that a supervisor will call me back in 24-48 hours, no one call me yet. I dont expect to and tired of dealing with them. At first I want a repair, now I rather replace it with a different brand. After exploding Note 7, exploding washer and dryer, exploding oven cover, Im glad my glass top was crack instead explode, but it could happen to someone else. Scamsung afraid of another massive recall on using low quality glass top material so they deny my warranty. This product is unsafe and should take off from store shelve. Im willing to join class action lawsuit against Scamsung, contact me. While all this happen, just found out my Scamsung refrigerator that I bought at the same time, the water and ice dispenser stop working, need to replace the control panel/switch. Save yourself from trouble and dont buy another Scamsung products. My range model was NE59J7630S.

Refrigerator was leaking sheets of ice under freezer for months. Samsung kept having us try different things to resolve the problem. I was trying to cooperate but Samsung should have replaced the refrigerator. I was repeatedly pulling out sheets of ice. 2 months after the one-yr warranty expired, we woke up to a flood thru our kitchen wall behind the refrigerator to our dining room. $1200.00 in damages we had to pay. Samsung promised they would honor the warranty because it was a continuing problem. After poor customer service, disorganization, and six months of grief, they then said no they would not even cover $400.00 of the damage. We will never buy another Samsung appliance. Very sad. Purchased a french door model in 13 that has worked great. Never missed a beat, no complaints. Based on this success bought another more expensive with cold door in Nov 15. Last week which is early Nov 16 the center drawer control panel failed to respond to input. Samsung did send an authorized tech out that diagnosed the issue and had to replace the entire drawer which is currently on order. That is a big fail to me. Replacing an entire drawer vs the panel is poor design and worse poor reliability. This refrigerator has hardly been used.Had I known what the reliability was of this product I would have either purchased an extended warranty which you cannot do with Samsung after the purchase or purchased another brand. I am now stuck with the knowledge that if something fails it will be expensive to fix and no way to lessen the pain with an extended warranty. Buyer beware. I purchased my 2nd Samsung refrigerator based on how great the first one has treated me...

Our fridge is not 2 years old. Within the warranty period it started making really loud, scare the dogs, popping noises and the water dispenser began dripping. Samsung claimed this was normal. This continued and after 3-4 calls to Samsung with no change in their response the 1 year warranty expired. The ice machine went out 2 days after the warranty expired and we called Samsung once again and were told they needed to send someone out.Service repair company came out and told us this is a known Samsung issue and they wont do anything about it and we would have to purchase an additional warranty to the tune of $475.00 to have this covered. They made what repairs they could and said it would probably not work. Needless to say, the repair did not work and weve had issues with the ice machine and dripping water dispenser for almost 2 years now. Samsung refuses to address this issue. I will never buy a Samsung product again and suggest that no one else does. I have several friends with similar model refrigerators and they have the same frustrating issues.

I am very dissatisfied with the range. The burners will not change from fast boil to simmer. Two technicians checked the range stating that there is nothing wrong with the burners. My previous Whirlpool was not a problem. I regret having purchased the 4-piece package. Even the dishwasher basket is not satisfactory. The microwave enamel chipped after 3 months use. I am very careful with my appliances. After saving for a few years to purchase I am disappointed...

Recently we smelled smoke in our house, traced to refrigerator. When pulled out, a square scorched mark was left on floor and refrigerator was not operating. After several calls to Samsung, spoke to friendly women whose only response was, Your refrigerator is out of warranty, I can send a service person at your cost. If we were not home at the time, our home could have burned down, and their response is, Were sorry but you are out of warranty. When asked if they would like to see photos of scorched floor, her response was You can send them if you like. Very disappointed since we have all Samsung kitchen appliances and TV.

I have a 4 year old top of the line Samsung electric cooktop/oven that has always worked great, up until several months ago when it almost blew up. Many others have reported having the main computer board fail/catch fire. Mine was the 2 main oven heating, element wires at the solder connection app heating up, sagging and touched back metal panel. Wires shorted, blowing them off the oven. Luckily breaker tripped, shutting off power to oven, one wire did catch fire briefly. Dont remember what the warranty did cost but the 5 year one is prob worth it on the expensive ones. I looked at the back with the panel off and a thousand dollar unit has the same build quality as the 200 dollar one. **.

Microwave is literally 16 days old and it smokes and sparks! So today we started the process of returning this microwave that is a fire hazard. The call process is ridiculous! The first representative who we called said, “Sure return the microwave” and told us to go to the website. Well that wasnt correct as nothing was there so called back second person said we cant return it transferred us to another dept. as the order # isnt there and cant find us. They hung up during the transfer, go figure...call back and they said, “Will give you a person to contact so you can have it looked at, a shop person technician”...Sooo we called the technician office, they said we’re not in the system 18 mins later and they will start a warranty claim. Whatever that means. Here we sit waiting for the technician office to call to set up an appt. We literally just bought this junk and received it on the 16th of August 2018. Weve been in another state for a funeral so we missed the cutoff, go figure. This $200 piece of junk sparks and smokes when you use it. We will now have to drive this junk to a shop to have it looked at because they refuse to return it after 15 days. And I refuse to have this crap plugged into my house to blow up. Then we will hope that the person there doesnt blow up and is component enough to fix it. So bottom line you will need to set a day off to call many departments waiting for someone to call you back but they will refuse to return your product after 15 days even though its defected. Note: there is a place you can call if the item is defected. They will return it for money back at 30 days but only if it was damaged in transit. Dont do what we did. Stay away far away!

We paid $2700 for a Samsung refrigerator with an extended five year warranty. A few months after the warranty ran out, the compressor died. For $95, Samsung’s repairman recommended buying a new refrigerator rather than paying over $1000 for the repair. Samsung Support recommended finding an unauthorized repairman that might do the repair at a lower price. Meanwhile, we are using our 29 year old Hotpoint refrigerator that we have in our garage.

This French door fridge was bought 2 years ago. First 3 weeks the ice bucket was not properly closing. The ice keeps getting stuck inside thus it would not make any if this is not physically pried out. They replaced the bucket and it was fine. Last week the cooler compartment stopped cooling (loud noise for 3 days that goes away when you open the door then it comes back again once you close it). I woke up that morning. It was just not cold inside so I asked my sister to keep an eye on it (dont know what to think of it since I was rushing to go to work). By the time I came home the temp screen was blinking and my sister said it has been like that all day! I went online, tried to chat with the rep Rose and twice as she tries to give me the transaction number, she gets disconnected! Again, she was back after I went searching and gave me a link that wont open up! It was a technical difficulty she said? It seems like SAMSUNG has technical difficulties everywhere!!!Finally got a young lady on the phone. In short nobody can come until 4 days later so as it was the weekend and my fridge was stocked up with food. I rented another refrigerator from RAC Center. Paid $57.00 for 2 weeks rent in case... The technician came last Tuesday and we were told it was the fan, packed with ICE and that the SENSOR needed to be replaced. It will cost me $222.00 for the $13.56 sensor and the rest for labor fees!! I was told to call if I start to have food wastage but really thats not what I need! I need them to fix their act and by the reviews and complaints here, it seems that this has been going on with their refrigerators. SAMSUNG needs to pay back the customers who has to deal with this ridiculous product!!! I cannot afford a new refrigerator right now. And really, I had the GE one before this, the old conventional no-nonsense fridge that I gave to the men to haul away and boy, my husband blamed me for doing that. That GE had no issues for many years that we had it other than we just wanted a fridge with the ice maker/water dispenser!! Talk about wasting $1900.00 on a SAMSUNG crap!

Im now just starting to deal with Samsung and what a disappointment. My icemaker is not making ice very fast and never has filled the container. I get about a half sandwich Ziploc bag full after 3 days. The fridge is only 4 months old and I have spent almost a month of that running test that they are having me do to try to fix it. Now it looks like they want me to send a part from my freezer to them to look at on my dime. That isnt going to happen. As far as Im concerned they can come and fix it. I dont have the means or even know if Im sending the proper part to them to fix, Not to mention, Im not going to take a chance on breaking something taking it apart.I purchased this from Home Depot and shame on them. They should be held somewhat responsible as they sell this product to their customers and have been for years and Im sure knowing full well the problems Samsung has with their fridges. I asked before I purchased it if there were any problems with this brand, and the answer I got was not a one, it is one of the best fridges they sell. I would not recommend buying a Samsung fridge to anyone and I would definitely be interested taking part in a class action lawsuit.

I bought my RSG257AARS side by side refrigerator 4 years ago. Everything was great with it until the compressor stopped working properly and all the coolant leaked. When I called an appliance repair shop they told me that Samsung only lets people who are trained by Samsung repair their fridges. She was very nice and told me where to go to find someone in our service area. Here in the DC/VA/MD area I could initially only find 3 people who would work on my fridge and it took me a week and a half to get an appointment. I lost EVERYTHING in my fridge and freezer. Then, they charged by $300.00 for a visit! Now, less than 90 days later (and the part was only good for 60-day warranty) I am having the SAME problem and now have to call a separate appliance repair place to come fix it, AGAIN! I will NEVER EVER buy another Samsung appliance in my life. The Samsung Customer Service department gives me the runaround. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG Appliance. Even if its the cheapest price and you THINK you are getting a good deal. Go with any other brand and save yourself the headaches.

We have a very bad experience with the service of Samsung Refrigerator. It took nearly a week for them to visit our place to check on the complaint made. We had to follow with the service centre every day and request for a call back from the supervisor. The reason for the delay was lockdown. We were already on phase 4 of lockdown and most of the technicians had started moving around. They checked on our refrigerator and was told the problem could be either with the compressor or the inverter board and that they have to place an order for it and it will take 3 days...They finally came after 4 days and they said both and the board had to be replaced. It worked and the technician hardly stepped out and the same problem came up. We tried contacting the technician ..who said he cant come back immediately and he came the following day and said there was a problem with the compressor again... Mind you.. it was a new compressor ...and again they have to place another order and it will take another 3 days. The problem is they will not answer your calls nor will they update you on whats happening. The call center is pathetic. I have been calling them for the last 2 days requesting that we need to speak the supervisor. They say they will arrange for a callback but no one calls. Till now I have not received any call from them. Product may be good but if the service is bad.... We will never want to recommend this brand to anyone... Very poor response and poor service. Higher authorities need to check on this and address this issue immediately especially when there is so much competition. We have been without a refrigerator in this peak summer for nearly 2 weeks now. Dont know how long more we have to wait..??

This happened EVERY TIME the freezer is opened. Sometimes louder than others... sometimes you have to stop a conversation and wait, or turn the TV up. He said when this happen again, the whole door will have to be replaced!! I called Samsung and the receptionist gave me a ticket number. Samsung refuses to honor warranty. 4 door refrigerator RF23J9011SG/AA. [ New ] As a loyal user of Samsung products from 3 tvs, 3 phones, and 2 refrigerators I expected when I purchased my beautiful 4 door refrigerator that I would enjoy the same top quality that I have always had with Samsung products. After less than two years of service, my 4 door refrigerator, that cost over $3,000 has developed an issue. The bottom (Freezer section) is working fine but the top (fridge) section is now hot. Since the warranty on the compressor and associated parts is 5 years I thought that, although anything can have an issue, Samsung would honor the warranty to repair the unit. They did agree to send a technician out to look at the refrigerator so I was pleased that they would honor their warranty. The interesting part is that the technician only removed the inside panel at the back of the fridge to inspect the coil and fan area. The only test that he did was to unplug a temp sensor and plug one in that he brought to see if the compressor would kick on, which it did not. He also took some pictures of the inside of the fridge and sent them in, he said, to a Samsung technician who, in turn from some unknown location determined that the problem is Environmental because of a small section of copper tubing at the top of the coil has some green corrosion on it (Not the Coil itself). I was confused because this is what copper does when exposed to moisture (inside the fridge) and air. The technician told me that he was not sure but that is what Samsung said. He then removed the panels covering the electronics on the back of the fridge, tested absolutely nothing other than seeing if the LED lights were on and then told me there was nothing that he could do because it is from an environmental problem. The problem with this theory is, #1 copper turns green when exposed to air and moisture, very common and expected. Secondly, if it were an environmental issue then the copper lines on the back of the unit leading to the compressors (there are 2, one for freezer, one for fridge) would be corroded since they are ACTUALLY exposed to the Environment and off course, they are not corroded but look absolutely new. Fast forward today, one week later, and I paid Mr. Appliance to come out and actually diagnose the fridge issue. The problem is that there is an issue with the compressor. And, as I expected, they told me that the idea of environmental issues causing this is absolutely ridiculous. They did, however kindly offer me an estimate of almost $1,000 to repair it. Very disappointed with Samsungs handling of this situation, by the attitude of the tech they sent out, it almost seems as though they intended to find any reason possible not to honor their own warranty.

My husband and I needed a new refrigerator, after our Kenmore finally bit the dust. We opted to try a different brand, Just because, I guess we wanted a change. We went to the big-box appliance store, hoping to find something fabulous! The salesman was pleasant enough, and he seemed to be knowledgeable about all of the brands they carried. We really seemed impressed with the Samsung. It was super bright, as it was really well lit on the inside. He touted the greatness of the Cooling Door feature, telling us it would keep our milk, OJ, etc nice and cold, and offer easy access so we wouldnt have to open the whole door to get our most-used items. Its never an easy task figuring out how an empty refrigerator will work when you load it up at home.It wasnt a good thing, when the repairmen had to order a new door the day it got delivered, as it was non-functioning for the water/ice. It also was damaged, so I should have known we were in for it! Ive had the repair techs out 4 more times in 2 years. The thermostat will not keep a steady temp. It either freezes everything, or it gets dangerously warm! We lost an entire refrigerator/freezers worth of food to excessive warmth. I spoke with Samsung directly, and the rep told me to take all of the spoiled food out of the garbage, photograph it and send the photos to them! WHAT??!! It was right in the middle of the summer! No way were we going trash-picking! I purchased 2 thermometers specifically for refrigerators/freezers to monitor the temp. Never consistent... The ice dispenser leaks water down the front of the fridge, so I have to keep a washcloth on the cup holder shelf. The front of the refrigerator is stained from the water on the stainless steel all the time. The inside has a crack right where you open the door. The freezer is horrible to utilize. The top drawer doesnt pull all the way out, so you cannot reach things easily. Because of the ice maker/dispenser, the inside shelves of the door hardly hold anything! Im betting I am forgetting even more of the items that have been plaguing us since this unit was delivered. One repair tech even told me I should consider putting it out in the driveway for a garage sale, hoping someone would unload it from me! Please dont consider Samsung! They make great electronics, but appliances? NO WAY! I have a stove from Samsung that I shall also submit a review for as well.

Within a few months of the repair and after the warranty was out the same problem occurred. This time I have to pay to have the company confirm its the same problem - if it is Samsung will pay for the board but I have to pay for the repair (the company is in another town an hour away so probably cheaper to buy a new dishwasher!). We replaced all of our kitchen appliances two years ago with this line of Samsung appliances. The refrigerator is currently a model involved in a class action lawsuit as water pools in the crisper drawers and produce spoils. I can deal with taking drawers out and dumping them, but at the beginning of this month my husband was in our nursery when he heard a loud pop in the kitchen. Upon inspection, he noticed that our glass top (Range NE595ROABSR) had cracked completely from front to back. Furthermore, fragments of the glass continued to split from the bottom up (not from the top down as one would suspect had it been an object of force hitting the top).He called Samsung and they sent a diagnostic tech out a week later (bear in mind that we have three children under the age of four and nothing safe to cook on) for the cost of $80. My husband explained to the technician that he had set an empty two quart pot on the stove before hearing the baby cry. The stove was not on and HAD NOT BEEN ON FOR TWO DAYS at that point. The technician took pictures, says he sees this all the time, agreed that there was absolutely no physical damage on our end, he said he could tell where the glass had a defect, but warned us that Samsung likes to deny claims. We paid the $80 to this third company for him to take some pictures and leave. He left and two days later we were indeed denied. We began the arduous process of calling and talking to every imbecile that works for this pathetic excuse of a company. We were initially told that their technical support team approved us for a replacement once the diagnostic tech called them and sent in pictures explaining that this was a Samsung defect. After a few days of no one coming to replace the range top, we called back and were informed that the glass top isnt covered in the five year GLASSTOP WARRANTY (seriously, this company is ludicrous). After spending two more days and endless hours on the phone (mind you with a four month old, and two preschoolers screaming and crying in the background), we were informed that it doesnt matter what the diagnostic technician says, their product review department is comprised of engineers that are specially trained to detect physical damage IN CELL PHONE PICTURES and they determined that since my husband had an EMPTY pot sitting in the stove at the time the glass cracked we had physically damaged the item and they would not replace the range top, but we could for an additional ~$250 plus another $50 in labor to the company we already paid $80 to diagnose the problem.Perhaps its just me, but I was under the impression that stoves were meant to hold pots. Granted this one had been left alone in a kitchen because of a colicky baby, so perhaps it grew legs and jumped up and down until breaking our range and causing the physical damage. None the less, we are out of pocket the $800+ it cost two years ago, and additional $80 for a diagnostic tech that Samsung refuses to believe over some gods behind a computer screen that do not receive or accept calls from customers, and I still have NOTHING safe to cook on for my sons. We refuse to replace the glass top because there is no guaranty this wont happen again. Thanks Samsung for costing a struggling family to struggle even more. We doubt that youll care, but youve lost us as customers for life.

I bought the Samsung Microwave brand new at Costco when we built our new home. We are barely two years and the control panel has gone out of it. Were now experiencing the dreaded locked keypad with an SE error code, turning on in the middle of the night. Its past its warranty period. Never had a higher end appliance ever die that quickly. We bought our Samsung microwave model SMH8165W on Feb 23, 2011. I know this b/c I actually registered online w/ Samsung to get the extended 1 year + 3 month warranty. They have engineered their microwave to be built to last barely above a year. Let me say, it is beautifully designed and at an inexpensive price point. It was the best deal at the time. It had features that we NEVER used - like, any of the snack features. My husband still loves it.... BUT... within a year, one of the LED legs blew out in the first number. We ignored that. It wasnt big enough to bother, you could still read the number. Id already misplaced any paperwork. Now, on Feb 18, 2014 - almost 3 years to the day that we purchased our Samsung we have another interesting error. Our under microwave light that goes from On, to Night light, to Off.. it always stays ON. One of the lights blew out so we changed it thinking that maybe that was the problem. Nope, both bulbs now burn brightly. We are out of warranty. We wont be buying Samsung again. We actually need a light on at night to cook, being in a dark kitchen. So in the meantime Im buying a set of 3 stick on LED lights for $6 on Amazon. One LED light will last 1000 hours. Lets see if it outlasts the Samsung.

We liked the middle drawer and the fact that you can open a little door to get drinks out without opening a regular door. Will NEVER buy Samsung ANYTHING again. The right side door started on day 1 making a horrid noise when shutting. This took three service calls so far. Seems to be okay after third fix! Then ice maker froze solid, couldn’t even pull out the tray/bucket. So to fix it, we had to unplug the fridge for several days before they came to repair it. Because of a problem with a different fridge that we put our stuff in for those three days, we lost all food from the fridge. So they came and put in a new ice maker with updates from Samsung. Uh, well, now 3 months later, we have an ice maker completely frozen solid again. Unbelievable! And now out of warranty. We had moved from a GE Profile kitchen in which nothing had a problem for 15 years, and mistakenly chose Samsung! They will not reimburse us for our past charges & will not exchange the refrigerator. We decided not to have another service person out & have to pay out more money. Well just wait until it breaks permanently & buy a new refrigerator. We will definitely never buy a Samsung Refrigerator again. I would not recommend a Samsung refrigerator to anyone.

I called Samsung, who passed me off to a repair center, that now tells me I have to have the bill of sale in order to get it fixed. Are you kidding me? Right after the Samsung gas range was installed we used it and it did not boil water with the largest burner. From November 2015 to March 2016 we have had 4 service calls for the same problem. A letter to Samsung went unanswered. They did send a warranty extension e-mail since I received as they said such great service for my problem. I sent it back asking where the great service was and no answer. We still have the same problem. As of now my gas grill burner boils water better than this Samsung range. Will not buy any Samsung product again. Should have gotten our first choice of GE but liked the looks of the Samsung range a little better. So much for appearances over quality. How many times does Samsung have to come to fix a problem before they decide to fix it right? Waste of money!

Buyer Beware! Samsung Refrigerator side by side w/ bottom freezer. Ice Maker hasnt worked correctly from day one. Never repaired, has always leaked at dispenser, ice maker freezes up, no ice. Called Samsung and now its out of warranty. Should have been a National Recall on this product. Look at all the Negative Reviews now regarding the Ice Maker alone. Our Samsung washer went out after 5 years and it was cheaper to replace than repair. Will never buy another Samsung Product. SAMSUNG PRODUCTS ARE OVERPRICED AND OVERRATED.

I purchased the Samsung OTC Microwave SMH9087ST from Sears in 11-2010. The microwave started having problems. About 6 months later, it was showing SE error on the display and nothing would work. I got the troubleshooting info offline and it told how to flip the circuit breaker and reset it. I did that and once in a while, it worked but would always go back to SE error. In 12-2011, it began to randomly turn itself off and on in the middle of the night, and throughout the day. The light would kick on. The fan would turn on and off. It starts beeping. It has gotten so frightening we keep it unplugged now and it wont reset at all now. Sears says it is beyond the warranty when I called in Dec. 2011. I have seen tons of complaints posted on them but no one will do anything. Samsung is in denial and Sears is worthless. I have a Samsung oven that I purchased at the same time and we love it, but I wont be buying any Samsung appliances anymore after the way they have mishandled this.

One of the front right burner, it does not come on with the igniter and then it finally does making a big flame because the gas has been on for a few seconds. They wanted me to troubleshoot the issue over the phone. I am not a train tech for this job. I am their customer. This being a safety issue for myself and my kids its unbelievable. I dont recommend and will buy anything from Samsung ever again.

This very expensive 4 French door refrigerator (over $3000) quit cooling within 2 years of purchase, and Samsung is non-responsive. My story sounds like the same thing others are experiencing. Samsung supposedly scheduled service with an independent contractor to come look at it and he never showed up because no one ever told him -- they dropped the ball completely. They cant be rescheduled for at least 2 more weeks. I have been receiving the same line, (its not my department) from Samsung for every call I make. Meanwhile, my food is spoiling and I am hoping we dont end up with food poisoning from improperly cooled food. I paid too much for this one to run out and buy another. So we use. It is apparent that once Samsung gets your money they do not care. In my experience, this is a terrible product and bad company that should stick to making televisions -- not refrigerators.

We bought a Samsung dishwasher about 4 years ago. Thankfully we also purchased the 5 year warranty. About 3 months ago it started acting up, wouldnt finish the wash cycle. The repairman replaced the sensors, one of them twice. Then he replaced the whole pump assembly unit. He ran the dishwasher while he was here, everything was fine. The next time we ran it, water leaked out of the pump assembly and ruined my laminate flooring. They ordered another pump assembly and installed it a few days ago. It ran through a cycle no problem. Last night the pump kicked on, opened the door and the pump still ran. Held the power button down, it turned off then right back on. Had to flip the breaker to turn it off. Took a week and a second call to hear back from someone on the damaged floor. Still no resolution for the non working dishwasher or damaged floor.

Same problem happened a month ago, the technician came and broke the ice and change the parts. It is OK for one week and I called again and he said I will send request to replace it. Then I called they said we will send another technician and he didnt know how to fix it and I am still waiting without fridge and I have to eat every day outside. About 3 years ago, our 15 year old GE over the stove microwave was working but seemed slow and dated. We replaced it with a Samsung SMH9187ST that had gotten good reviews. About 6 months into its use, there was a shorting sound and smoke when I pressed the start button. A new control board, fuses, and a couple other parts were replaced under warranty. And since then, we havent had any problems - until two days ago when the keypad stopped functioning. We tried unplugging and plugging in again, but that only worked once and only for about 5 minutes. Then the SE error message came up. I filled out the online service form on Samsungs site and have been sent information about a service company in Florida (I live in Ohio) and instructions on how to send the item back. Really? It looks like about 15 people have posted this same SE problem in the last month, almost everyone out of warranty. So perhaps this is planned obsolescence combined with bad service. It only guarantees that I wont buy another Samsung appliance, though.

Luckily it blew the breaker so the house did not catch on fire. When it cooled down we looked in the oven and found a hole had been blown right through in the bottom. Over the last couple of weeks, I noticed tiny amounts of water at the bottom corner edge of my refrigerator (RF28HFEDTSR), right underneath the pull out drawer for the freezer. Thought it was just an ice cube that had found its way under the refrigerator and melted. This morning, I noticed the edges of my hardwood floors buckling up. Discovered water leaking from the top of the refrigerator that must have been seeping into the floor. Turned off ice maker and turned off water to refrigerator. Water still leaking from the top. Ive had to replace the towel twice within a two hour period. From what Ive read online, this is a very common problem with no real fix. Samsung, step up and do the right thing. I bought dishwasher as well as refrigerator and electric range in 2013. In 2014 the dishwasher started to have problems (the soap compartment wouldn’t open), so the technician came and replaced the whole dishwasher under the warranty. In 2015 the dishwasher started to malfunction again, the same problem. Another technician came in and replaced part under the warranty again. In 2019 the same problem occurred again. This time the first technician couldn’t replicate the problem. The second technician came in, and he said that it’s most likely intermittent problem, and it’s possible that 3 different parts should be replaced, and since the warranty run out, he doesn’t recommend spend the money on the unknown. I really appreciate this concept. When I called Samsung again, they said that the main circuit board under the warranty since it was replaced in 2015. But when I tried to call the company who is fixing the dishwasher, they explained to me that Samsung doesn’t extend the warranty on the replaced parts and everything goes to the original date of purchasing or replacement of the machine. I had a dishwasher for over 20 years in Massachusetts (not Samsung), never had a problem. Never will buy Samsung products again and wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. On top of the bad product, bad manufacturing warranty too.

Dont buy Samsung Ranges. I brought the chef collection 30 last year and within two months had to exchange it for another. After four technicians later and new computer boards, they finally replaced it with a new one. The range would go on by itself and the only way to shut it off was the main switch in the basement. So far so good until one day I was making a sandwich for lunch and heard this loud cracking. I didnt know where it was coming from so that night when I started dinner I realized it was the cooktop that cracked. I wasnt using it, the range was off. This is most bizarre. How can this happen? Well I looked up on this consumer site and apparently Im not the first person. So theres got to be a defect right? Maybe a recall is in order. When I called Samsung they said they would extend my warranty but I needed a tech to come out to make sure it wasnt caused by physical damage. Okay a tech came out and clearly wrote that it was not caused by physical damage and reported that to Samsung. I called them to see what happens next and they claim I need a second opinion and more pictures. They forwarded more pics and Samsung said it was caused by physical damage and I wasnt covered by the warranty. I asked a customer relations person who can I talk to that can help me. She said an executive customer service person, but they only have outgoing calls, you will have to wait until they call you. That person called me today and left a message and told me according to the pictures it was physical damage. So I guess they are calling me a liar. Im not done with them yet, but they are the lowest of the low companies that screw people right and left. Their customer service is full of abrasive people that will not help me. They only have outgoing calls. What in the hell is that? Ive had two of their ranges in 15 months and Im sorry I ever bought one. Terrible company. I bought this item at Best Buy 8/17/2015.

So I bought a whole new appliance package when we had our house built and I bought all Samsung. We took possession of the house March 7, 2014 and a few days over the one year mark when I opened the microwave door it lost power. I tried resetting the breaker, and unplugging and plugging the microwave back in. Finally when I was about to give up I opened and close microwave door a couple of times and the power came back on. I tried contacting my rep who I purchased my appliances through but he didnt get back to me for a couple of weeks because he was out of town. When he got back I was told to contact Samsung directly. When I contacted them they said because I was over the one year mark my warranty was out of date and there was nothing they could do. When I talked to the repair company they said it sounded like a faulty door switch and it happens with Samsung quite often, so now I have to pay $100 out of pocket to pay for them to adjust the switch/wire in the door. Its more than a little frustrating that Samsung can get away with selling these microwaves with faulty door switches and wont stand behind their products.

Problem: Water dispenser began leaking immediately upon installation. Purged system of air but leak continued. Then within a week or so of use, the water dispenser began making a vibrating noise. The noise was in the area where the water line leads into the back of the refrigerator. Solution: After repair service made three attempts, one by replacing the water valve. This eliminated the vibrating noise for a day. The vibrating noise was continuous. The third service call was removing the water filter. There was no vibration or leaking when the filter was not in the refrigerator. The service repairman suggested leaving the filter out for a day then install a new filter. We installed a new filter the next day. It worked. We have been leak free and noise free for several days. So, if you have either of these problems or both, I suggest you remove the filter and install a new one before calling service. By the way, our service company informed us we would be getting a new filter from Samsung since the 6-month period had not been up on the filter.

We bought a Samsung dishwasher (Model # DW80K705045) in March 2017 from Lowes, after 15 years with a Bosch. Looking back now we should have done our research. We would have seen all the bad reviews. Christmas Eve the dishwasher went into failure mode. “Leak in System”. Within a few days the dishwasher worked again but 3 days later the same thing happened. It took 12 days for a repairman to come and determine the problem. We were told it would be a huge job that required a full day, the dishwasher motor would have to be rebuilt on my kitchen floor, and no guarantees that the repair would work. This repair will require my husband to take a day off from work. Fast forward to 3/20 and we still do not have the part. According to Lowe’s the part has been in for 2 weeks now and we have not been able to schedule a repair. We are unable to use a different repair company because this is the one Lowe’s contracts out to. The dishwasher can only be run with few dishes and on short cycle. We don’t know when it will go out again. Numerous calls to Lowe’s and Samsung have gone nowhere. Neither company will back up the product. Samsung will not replace the dishwasher until 2 attempts to fix it have been made. Lowes won’t offer a refund because we have to go through Warranty service for the first year of owning the product. The Warranty is through Samsung. Totally disgusted and frustrated.

The parts totaled $497.39, plus $165 labor along with $39.07 tax, total $686.46. The repairman gave me all the part replacement information and recommended that I contact Samsung Customer service since the problem I am having is common for this model, RF28HMEDBSR/AA. The customer service rep looked up the serial number and said that the ref is three years old and that the ice maker is only under warranty for one year. I said, You mean that Samsung believes that the ice maker should only last one year plus and the ref and freezer should last five years. I bought this fridge as part of a whole kitchen package when I remodeled 2 years ago. Im not sure it ever cooled as cold as previous fridges, but this one is different. The controls are different, very different. Gone is the dial that goes from off to high cool. A panel of buttons and lights, hold this button down for three seconds for this, 5 seconds for that, hold down both at the same time for 5 seconds for that, this is on when that light is off. If it stops cooling it might have gone back to show room mode etc.The fridge might run fine but I am unable to find the right variation of buttons and lights to push for how long at the right time. The manual and online is no help at all. There doesnt seem to be a Samsung rep to call, Ive decided to have it hauled off and buy something with an on and off switch. The fins might be clogged up but they are inaccessible for home owners. Repair people want $200 just to show up and that does not apply to repair. Extra to diagnose. It would be very easy to pay more for repair than I paid for the fridge. They seem to deny there is a warranty or it would apply to my issue.

I built my new home in September of 2020. I purchased new appliances the Samsung hub refrigerator as well as the black stainless steel gas duo smart oven. After having and using the stove for about 11 months I notice that there were areas where the appliance was peeling. I was confused as to why stainless steel was peeling only to find out that the black stainless steel is a layer of paint. I reached out to Samsung as well as Best Buy because I did purchase the extended warranties only to be told that this was a cosmetic issue and there was nothing that they could do about it. After being told this from both parties I was devastated. I have spent 7k on these appliances and theyre starting to look like crap. It has come to my knowledge that this is a common problem and there are a ton of consumers in the same boat as me. Samsung should be ashamed of its business practices. It is obvious that the craftsmanship of their black stainless steel is not up to par. As a consumer that works hard for my money what makes you think that I would pay so much for a product that starts to peel within a year of having it. As a consumer there was no disclosure of any indication that that could/would be the case. Otherwise I would have just opted for the regular stainless steel and not the black stainless steel. It is mind-boggling that Samsung treats their consumers this way after we send our hard-earned money to only end up with defective products that they are not willing to replace.

A week after it was delivered I had to call service because of problems with the ice maker. After that service was called three more times with same problems. Motor is out now. Of course Samsung said you are out of luck since you did not pay $400 extra for the guarantee. I explained to them that is a persisting problem but they just say you are out of luck. The shelves on the doors have cracked and had to be glued to keep in. The little shelf near freezer is attached with screws into plastic anchors and they have all broken. The top shelf will not go into the bracket to hold it in. The bottom shelf which holds drawers the rack on the refrigerator has cracked around the screw and the back of that shelf on other side has broken. I know its 9 years old but all these are poor workmanship for material used.

I have had nothing but trouble from this Samsung refrigerator since I bought it. The ice maker has never worked correctly and it has been worked on and parts replaced over and over and over again. I would not recommend this product to anyone!! My experience has been a nightmare!

Samsung is the worst name brand appliance I have ever dealt with!! I own multiple properties and their appliances only last one yr!! So when you buy a Samsung product, break down how much you are going to spend into 12 months and then figure out if its worth it!! So far I have had a $350 microwave last one yr and one month. And now a $700 dishwasher last 1 yr n 3 months. And all Samsung will do is tell you its out of warranty!! I give them one yr and they have to change their name because everyone is catching on to the crap they are selling!

Not enough clearance head room was allowed in storage drawer for pot lids.
Not enough clearance head room was allowed in storage drawer for pot lids. It looks OK when looking at drawer at the store but dont get fooled. Half the time its impossible to open because it gets jammed because of handles. One lid up, one lid down etc. If I knew that issue I would never have bought this stove.
