The LED lights on the Heavy and Quick buttons start flashing and the dishwasher stops working after a minute or so of starting the dishwasher. I bought the dishwasher in January 2011 and the problem first happened just after a year of purchase, so I was outside of the warranty. The bill to fix this was about $300 and all the repair person did was pull out the dishwasher and wash the sensor (he said that there was some kind of dirt on the sensor). It took him about 5 minutes to fix it. He advised me to run the dishwasher empty once a month on Sanitize mode. I have been doing this diligently. Now less than 2 years later, I am encountering the same issue all over again. It seems like there is a problem with the design of the dishwasher. Other than the initial investment, Samsung wants consumers to spend $300 every 2 years to keep the dishwasher running!!

I bought a Samsung range (model # FE R300SXIX AA) a little over 3 years ago. During the Easter weekend of 2018, I tried to bake a cake. The cake did not get done. The oven did not reach the correct temperature. I called Samsung and a technician was sent to my home within a few days. He could not find anything wrong with the oven. The visit cost $125. I tried to bake something else and it did not get done. I called Samsung again and another technician came to my home. He stated the oven temperature was 100 degrees off the target temperature. He replaced a part and tried the temperature reading again. The temperature was still off the target. The technician said the oven needed a part he did not have with him. Another appointment was made for him to return with the other part. The technician returned several days later with the other part. He replaced the part and said try the oven again because he thought it was repaired. This cost was another $175. After the technician left, I tried baking something again but it did not get done. I called Samsung again and the representative said there was nothing they could do because the warranty had expired. In order to get a partial refund for the range, the technician would have to state the oven was unfixable. I called the technicians office to make an appointment. An appointment was made for him to return a few days later. The technician called my home and stated to my husband he does not know the cause of the problem with the oven but he could return and try several things to repair it. Each thing he tried could cost up to $500 or more. Whats the use of a repair service when they are working in the blind and costing you a lot of money trying different things. I will never buy another Samsung electric range again. The Service and reliability are very unsatisfactory.

I bought my Samsung refrigerator in 2014 and have had nothing but problems with the ice maker and food being ruined continuously because it keeps defrosting. I have contacted Samsung numerous times about the issues. Their warranty is a joke. Especially when you have to pay $75 just to get the company they send out to look at the item. The food replacements was definitely not worth what I paid for this product. I have read horrible reviews on their appliances and unfortunately I regret purchasing this product. I will never purchase another Samsung product.

I bought this induction range in June 2015. Eight months later the whole stove top ceased to function after three weeks of fighting with Samsung, I finally had a mechanic out to replace a burnt out motor. Meanwhile, the oven temperature kept dropping, and the thermostat did not kick in, making baking a nightmare. The mechanic came yesterday, told me to preheat the oven at least 30 - 45 minutes before starting to bake. I did this today - same problem. This did not happen when the stove was new, so how can it be a design problem? Samsung appliances are attractive but total junk. My son had advised me not to buy Samsung. How I wish I had listened, instead of being sucked in by Sears salespeople to buy this sexy looking stove. $2000 down the drain.

Bought a French door with middle divided door model 3 months ago. It stopped freezing and cooling but digital display indicated temp ok. After discovering food in freezer thawed and no ice, had to discard contents. Samsung sent repair man and he replaced parts and left. It was not fixed. Called back for second visit for repair and did not have needed parts. Came back 3rd time and replaced motherboard on January 20th. 3 weeks later, same problem. Discard food, called Samsung and insisted on replacement and was told technician would come out and deem it unrepairable. I agreed but said will not allow another repair. Tech came out with more parts to fix it. I refused repair, just asked him to determine that the same issue had occurred. That was yesterday. Today on multiple calls with Samsung customer support and was told it would have to be fixed again, refused to replace this obviously defective unit. I am looking for a solution, but dont think it will come from Samsung. Contacted Lowes where I purchased it and was told it would have to go through manufacturer (Samsung). what ever happened to backing up your products? Never, ever will I buy ANY SAMSUNG product again. We are out over $2000 for the refrigerator, approx. $500 in groceries, and several hours of lost wages. Sears... Here I come. Kenmore seems to be the way to go. Lesson learned. Buyer beware!

I have a $3000.00 5 yr old fridge. Every month, it starts getting extremely loud & we have to unplug it overnight to defrost then plug it back in again. When we called for support, they were no help so we live with the fact that we have to do this monthly to a really expensive refrigerator thats not that old. A few days ago, I was washing the largest shelf (plastic casing & tempered glass shelf) & when I rested the shelf on the counter to dry it, the glass just exploded into countless small shards of glass. I was in bare feet & cut myself trying to get out of the kitchen to get the broom. I called for the glass shelf & after getting told to call the parts dept. I was told that the glass shelf was never available on its own, the whole shelf was $155 part and discontinued so I was referred back to the original number to find out if there is a comparable part from a more current fridge that will work.I was routed to the U.S by the automated bot (I am in Canada) & after a 16min. phone call, I was told to call the same number again & make sure I was routed within Canada this time (how I was to do that, I have no idea). I called again & this time had to wait 30min. for a callback only to find out that they cant do anything except of course sell me another $3000 fridge if I wanted. I am now going to try & get someone to cut me a piece of glass to fit the shelf on my own.... Stay as far away from Samsung as possible-they need to stick to TVs-DO NOT buy an appliance from them, you will regret it!

I bought a microwave by Samsung on Feb. 28, 2019 the microwave started smelling like burning wires, and would not heat food. I contacted Samsung and was told a technician would come out, technician came out and said he believes it needs to be replaced because a fire had started inside of the microwave. Samsung called them and told them they would not replace it because it was physical damage from grease. The technician that came out wrote in the report it was not grease it was like hard plastic and they would not replace it. My filters are still silver like new so how can you say grease build up within a year! I will never do this again and I have contacted my attorney!!

Bought a dishwasher around Jan. of 2013. Within 5 months, the controls and keypad were dead and unresponsive. Took forever to find a guy who could service Samsung in my neck of the woods. He declared the motherboard dead and said I needed a new one (total of $120 for part and labor). Dishwasher worked fine for all of about 3 months and the exact same thing happened again. Piece of **. I refused to keep spending $120 to keep $600 dishwasher running. So I blew it up on my gun range and went out and bought a Bosch - which has worked beautifully for 3 years.

I am so disappointed in Samsung that I will never buy another appliance from them again. Never!

Samsung Refrigerator problems model RF217ACPN. For the last several months my produce bins have been accumulating water and then water below the bins freezes into a sheet of ice. I tried to contact Samsung and they said perhaps I spilled something. I told them that the problem was repetitive and that I did not store water in the refrigerator. They wanted to send out a technician but I asked them to give me some troubleshooting ideas first. They said they didnt have any because they havent had complaints about this. When I log into this site I see that I am not alone in this problem.

Me and my husband got the Samsung French door with bottom freezer refrigerator in January 2014. The bottom of the French doors underneath the plastic drawers - its froze with sheet of ice and the plastic drawers have water inside them. Also my freezer has ice all in it beside the ice maker and it has froze food to the fridge. My left front handle has paint chipped off of it. We have contacted Aarons in Dallas NC multiple times and they said they ordered new parts but then we keep going to pay the bill and they say it hasnt been ordered again. It hasnt been anything but a problem since we got it! I wont pay that much for a samsung refrigerator again and ours is almost paid for. And wish I knew the bad stuff before getting ours!!

We bought a Samsung dishwasher about 4 years ago. Thankfully we also purchased the 5 year warranty. About 3 months ago it started acting up, wouldnt finish the wash cycle. The repairman replaced the sensors, one of them twice. Then he replaced the whole pump assembly unit. He ran the dishwasher while he was here, everything was fine. The next time we ran it, water leaked out of the pump assembly and ruined my laminate flooring. They ordered another pump assembly and installed it a few days ago. It ran through a cycle no problem. Last night the pump kicked on, opened the door and the pump still ran. Held the power button down, it turned off then right back on. Had to flip the breaker to turn it off. Took a week and a second call to hear back from someone on the damaged floor. Still no resolution for the non working dishwasher or damaged floor.

I purchased a new Samsung side by side refrigerator freezer with ice maker in 2016. I have had a service technician come out to fix it 3 times. The first time the freezer wouldnt work. Come to find out it was frozen up. A temp control issue. After that got fixed a few months later the ice maker stopped working, now last but most definitely not least I found out today that the compressor is bad and I paid extra money for it good product and boy was I mistaken. DONT THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY! If you want to throw money away buy one of these terrible pieces of junk. I am sorely dissatisfied with the product and their willingness to fix the problems. Read some reviews from others and youll see. Buy about any other brand and youd be better off than me.

On August 3, 2015 my Samsung Microwave SMH2117S caught on fire and nearly burned down my house. I had notified Samsung about five weeks prior to the fire to report that the microwave was coming on by itself when you would open the door. I was told at that time there was nothing they could do unless I purchased their almost $400.00 extended warranty. I refuse to as the microwave was only one-year-old. And then two days before the fire, the microwave started coming on by itself without anyone even touching it. I then decided to simply replace it. Two days later as I was getting ready to replace it, it caught fire and did major damage to my home. Samsung is coming out to my damaged home in the morning.

I just got off the phone with Samsung who claims they support their product because they have a 1 year warranty. Hurray for them, everyone has a 1 yr warranty. The companies that really support their products are the ones that recognize when 2 major components on an expensive refrigerator go out that they should be responsible for fixing it.We had the ice maker and the evaporator fan motor go out on our 2 1/2 yr. old refrigerator. Samsung will do nothing but send a repairman to diagnose it but not pay to fix it. All the customer service people can do is read their policy of You are outside of the 1 year warranty. Their phone message while you wait for an hour keeps saying that they pride themselves if in their customer service. They have TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE because they dont allow their management to look at a case and make a decision based on the situation. All they can do is keep telling you, You are outside of your warranty. I have dealt with much better companies that will truly support their products and fix a major issue even if it outside the warranty because they know their product should be better than that.

We purchased this dishwasher (Samsung DMR77 Stainless Dishwasher) about 2 years ago, paid $800 for it. It has never cleaned right from the beginning. After a couple of months, the stainless front door panel started pitting. I contacted the company and they tried to make it my fault. Now, the motor is making this high pitched noise that is very irritating. I suspect the motor bearings are shot. I replaced a 10-year-old Maytag machine that was still working fine. My wife wanted to remodel the kitchen and go with stainless, so we bought a Samsung stainless refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. This dishwasher is a piece of junk and I am going to toss it and buy a Whirlpool for about 40 percent less than I paid for this junk. I will never buy a Samsung product again.

Purchased this model 2.5 years ago - have had issues with ice maker ever since. Do your research, issues with Samsung and ice makers (especially this unit) are all over the internet. The ice making function is pretty much so useless. On mine, like so many others (thousands) freezes up, literally turns into a block of ice. Overall, great design and functionality, however, for $2k I expect the ice maker to work.Samsung refuses to take any accountability, as a result, major class action lawsuit is underway by law firms and thousands of consumers to get them to do the right thing for their customers. Its all online, do your research. While I have owed and been quite happy with a number of Samsung Plasma TVs and LCDs, their responsiveness to this serious product issue with ice makers is nothing short of shameful. I had hoped to get it repaired, but a reputable (and Samsung certified warranty service) indicated that even after spending $500 on parts and labor, the problem will most likely continue. So, after spending $2k on this thing, and 2 1/2 years later, I will be buying a new refrigerator/freezer. And, as a result, I will never purchase another Samsung product again. Never. Do your own research, and look elsewhere.

Samsung French Door refrigerator is junk. Model FR 28HFEDBSR/AA with ice and water through the door, as soon as the warranty expired, the ice maker stopped working. It would freeze up, stop making cubes. We replaced the expensive water filter every 3 months instead of 6, but melting ice/water would constantly drip from the water dispenser, creating a puddle outside the door. We, like a couple of others, were going through a remodel and decided to upgrade our appliances. We bought the Samsung range, $2600, from Lowes when they had a special on this range. Expensive, to say the least, but it was beautiful. Because of construction delays we did not get the range and other appliances installed until several months later. We been using the range for about 6 months now and the oven just never seems to be right. The Tech has been out twice and says, Everything checks out? So, Thanksgiving come around and we do a Turkey, all timed out according to the oven temp and time for the 20 pound bird. 5 hours later and the temp wand said it was done. We took it to our Daughters house and began cutting -- nope, not done. It look done, but pink meat and really pink and red around the thigh joints. Closer to the breast the white meat was slightly pink as well.If you want to do cookies you have to settle for near burnt outer crust, making for hard cookies, if you want the centers to get done. The oven may test right but somewhere along the way, through the process of heating and cooling to maintain temp this oven is failing. Looking to get it replaced. We would even stay with Samsung if they would agree to a replacement of a different model. Im for going back to an Electric. That is a lot of money for a range that only half works. We had a cheap wall oven that worked great for all baking, did not know how well it worked until we bought this Samsung.

We have had the Samsung DW80F600 for 2 years and it is not working. Called customer service and ended up in some foreign country with staff who had no idea what to do. The only solution was to call a technician which I did and awaiting for him to show up. I suspect that as with most posts here, the technician will tell us that the repair will cost a few hundred dollars in which case it will be cheaper to buy a new one. WE had a GE dishwasher for 20 years and never had a problem with it. Like their Samsung phones, I suspect they cannot produce good products. Many other good brands to choose from.Updated 9/21/2016 - Samsung has a con system going on. THEY KNOW THERE IS A QUALITY PROBLEM WITH THEIR DISHWASHERS AND THEY CHOOSE TO DO NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. Please read the rest of the post. I promised to let you know what happened with the fix of my dysfunctional Samsung DW80F600, 2 year-old dishwasher.I called the appliance repair company Totem Appliance that was recommended by Samsung and set up an appointment for September 21, 2016. I was told that they cannot tell me over the phone what the problem was until the technician had a chance to diagnose the problem. The fee for this diagnosis I was told is $115. The technician showed up and lo and behold was carrying a replacement part. I asked him what that part was and he told me that this is the part that needs to be replaced. The exact part is the Brake Case Assembly - I believe part # DD82-01111A (as shown on the package). I asked him how he knew what the problem was and his response was that Samsung fielded many such complaints and by now they know what the problem is. Reluctantly I told him to go ahead and fix the problem. The cost for this part is $400 (a new dishwasher costs $600). He pulled the dishwasher out and replaced the bracket case assembly. He turned the dishwasher on to test it and amazingly it did not work. The Smart Auto error was blinking. He said that the dishwasher senses water and we need to leave the dishwasher door open for 24 hours for the water inside to dry or alternatively, he can dry the water himself. I said he should dry the water rather than us wait for 24 hours (not knowing whether we are going to see this company again). He pulled out the dishwasher (again), flipped it over, and unscrewed the bottom panel. Lo and behold, no water to be found, meaning there was no water as he claimed. He then said he needs to look at the ecs sensor. He took it apart, cleaned it and screwed back the bottom panel. He turned the dishwasher on and my goodness, it did not work again. The Smart Auto light was blinking again. He then said he has to call head office. He did call head office and they told him he needs to replace the pcb which is the main control board. He told me that this part is warranted for 5 years. I wanted to know why did he not replace the pcb in the first place and he said that Samsung told them to replace all three parts, regardless of the problem and then charge for the ecs and bracket case assembly only. In other words, since the pcb is under warranty they want to give you the impression that you are getting a so called deal.Since he did not have the pcb on him, nor did he have a replacement ecs sensor, he said that he will return the next day (Thursday, September 22) with the parts and replace them. So what does this all mean - 1. This is one big CON; 2. Rather than first replace the warranty part, namely the pcb, they sell you the most expensive parts first and if the fix does not work, only then they offer a replacement pcb. This to me is cause for a class action lawsuit and perhaps inform the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to trigger a recall. If you all agree with me then lets go for it. We all know by now the problems that Samsung is having with the Galaxy phone suggesting that quality is not part of the Samsung culture and secondly, they think their customers are stupid.

I bought this dishwasher because it was recommended in the press as a good product. My experience with a Samsung dishwasher is nothing but problems. The dishwasher will not clean the dishes properly even after you rinse them down to start. I have had to replace the pump on this dishwasher twice and the service charge is around 200 dollars a visit. This is over a 28 month period. My advice to anyone wishing to buy a Samsung dishwasher should look at another product and leave this one alone.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in July of last year. When it came home and got set up the next day it started chiming!! I called to have it repaired which took almost a week for tech to come and was told the sensor in door was bad. The chiming has started again and its not dispensing water or ice so Im back to buying water until this can be fixed. I went to store to complain and was told Samsung refrigerators have no Warranty at all.. I am so so disappointed with Samsung and would not recommend anyone purchasing them!!!

The first error code (LC) happened about 4 weeks after install. A week wait for a tech, claimed no problem. Happened again about 5 weeks later. Again, no issue found. Happened again - replaced a part. Happened again. You get the picture. Sent a complaint directly to Samsung in May 2018 requesting replacement of faulty machine (Dishwasher 80M9 series). Was told they had only received ONE repair notice from us (we had logged in SEVEN at that point - since WE hadnt paid for any of the service calls, I have to assume Samsung did!). They sent someone out to repair AGAIN. Happened again in June. JUST had repair here to replace two parts - he was 5 minutes away from the house and it happened yet again. HORRIBLE company to deal with. This should truly be a no star review.

Our 1900$ Samsung 26 cu ft refrigerator was delivered 9/10/2011. It quit working 8/30/2016. We never had problems with the ice maker, although it was slow even for two adults needs of ice. I decided no use to fix it, just go get another refrigerator. If you read reviews on any brand about four hundred people always say what they bought was the worst experience possible. Even the sales guy said refrigerators rarely last more than eight years nowadays. So my advice is spend what you are willing to replace in five years. Thats how long my Samsung lasted.

Purchased a Samsung Dishwasher that never dried the dishes properly but failed after 5 years and 1 month, 1 month after the warranty period. Contacted Samsung but did not receive any relief. Purchased a Samsung Electric Stove FTQ353IWUX in May 2012 and registered with Samsung.com. In August 2015, the oven sometimes failed to work. I was able to switch between Convection and Regular mode and sometimes cajoled the oven into working. Received an error code one time, it was E08. Stove will not longer heat up. The LED reads 150 degrees and the appliance does a lot of clicking, but will not heat up.Oven lasted roughly 3 years, 3 months. Was told by Samsung that the glass top only is warrantied for five years, the oven just one year. Could purchase a Samsung warranty but would cost several hundred dollars and the part (control board, etc.) would be warrantied for only one year. Contacted numerous appliance fixing businesses but all, including Sears, wanted $99 just to diagnose what is wrong. Very disappointed in Samsung and will never buy another Samsung appliance. Would like to join others in any ongoing class action lawsuit against Samsung.

Last summer, I called Samsung and told them what was wrong. They told me to call a repairman and they were not liable for it cause it was not under warranty. This is a manufacturing defect and is happening to a high amount of refrigerators. After paying $200 to get it fixed, six months later, the same problem occurred. Can the government get involved in this matter? Thank You.

We bought this refrigerator from LOWES in 2016 for just under $2600; we didnt know the icemaker had a problem until after the warranty expired because we didnt live in that house but for a few months of the year just before we retired. It froze up and the plastic bin cracked when we removed it from the freezer. The repairman replaced just about everything that could be replaced in the icemaker and we were charged $1170!!! Within 2 months of that expense, the thing froze up again. The repairman just left, didnt charge since we were within the 90-day period of the first repair. But he said Samsung told him they would not replace our refrigerator, they might give us a break on the price of another... What a load of rotten tomatoes!!! There should be a recall, and I should get my money back for having bought their defective product and for the expense of the repairs. The angst and inconvenience should be financially compensated for, too, but I am not holding my breath.

We purchased a counter depth refrigerator back on 2012. We have had nothing but problems with the ice maker and switch to dispense ice since we had it. Not only did we spend a lot for this refrigerator, we have continued to have to sink money into it to keep it working. Then we bought the $500 over the range microwave. Bad move!!! After having for one year, the number buttons on the front became hard to work. Now we have 2 numbers that wont work at all. But of course they are telling me that they dont cover this under the warranty. What good it the microwave if you cannot program in the time to cook??We also bought the induction range. I hope this holds up. We will never ever buy from Samsung again and will also advise all family and friends of our bad experience. My sister also had same issues with her Samsung refrigerator. Samsung might make good TVs but their kitchen appliances are a piece of junk and they do not care how much you spend on them, they will not cover repairing a function like the number buttons! My Samsung RSG257AARS (purchased 2013) counter depth refrigerator completely turns off (front display, interior lights - both sides, and compressors) when outside temps start to warm up. This happened 1 time approx. after a year of ownership, already out of warranty by that point by the way. During the cool months it never shuts off. Again a little more frequently the following year. Now the first warm day in April its already started again.I have tried contacting their Samsung customer service line, which they told me it was out of warranty of course, I would be responsible for all charges. The Authorized Service center would have to Diagnose the problem, I will have to miss a day of work $$. Then order part, reschedule repair, miss another day of work $$. Pay for all of this and pray it fixes problem. The ice maker has never been sufficient during the months when you need ice the most, this has been a constant complaint on many forums. Totally dissatisfied with this product and will never purchase a Samsung product.

Same thing, different person. Fridge Model RF217ACRS, manufactured in 2011. Problem started in 2014. Samsung refuses to pay for repair even though original chat transcript with Samsung Support inferred they will stand behind their product, after creating a ticket for me even though the fridge was out of warranty. Problem Description: Fridge coils freezing up, causing fan to rub on ice making a loud noise. Defrosted it multiple times, problem comes back within a week or 2. A&E Services wanting to charge $361 for the repair of what they claim is a $12 sensor. A&E Factory Services tech also told me that this is the cause of 90% of the problems reported regarding Samsung refrigerators. My guess... A&E and any other Samsung Authorized Service Center is being paid off by Samsung to cover-up the actual fault, which may lie with the evaporator, as if the water is drained/evaporated correctly, should not build up as ice on the coils, in my unprofessional opinion. Keep in mind, the evaporator is covered under the Samsung 5-year warranty, but the $12 sensor is not, and their repair techs will charge you out the *you know what* ($360) to replace it. I will never buy another Samsung device as long as I live, and I will steer all my friends and family away from them.

Bought the Samsung French door refrigerator in 2014. In 2015, it stopped cooling twice. Had to be thawed at home since it is already out of warranty. Which is ridiculous. Samsung service is of no assistance. Just refer you to a local repair shop who refers you elsewhere because they refuse to service Samsungs products. If I had known about the short life of this refrigerator and the inability of it to perform its only job of cooling food, Id have definitely switched to another brand before the purchase of this $1,500 piece of pretty - looking junk. Samsung has been made aware of this design flaw for years, but due to selfishness and greed have refused to address the issue, fix / redesign the problem coils, or even recall their junk refrigerators. They have done a huge disservice to their consumers by allowing these pieces of junk to remain on the market without fixing the issues. I feel they should be made to recall the problem appliances. We lost over $300 in food and even the babys formula. Theres no excuse to sell high priced junk to consumers without standing behind your products. Bad business practices. Samsung should just stick with cell phones and computers. Their refrigerators are not worth the money or bad reviews. Just stay away!

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator and stove a year ago. The first time I went to use the self-clean feature on the stove the main component fried. It was Thanksgiving week and a time I really needed the oven. It took 2 weeks for a repairman to fix the problem. Two weeks ago we started having problems with the ice maker in the refrigerator. Slushy ice and at times, wed just get a handful of water. Upon research (I know, something I should have done before the purchase), I learned that it is a common problem with Samsung refrigerators/ice makers. People were told they had to empty the thing every 6 months or so, unplug it and let it defrost! Seriously?? In this day and age? The thing is supposed to be frost free. So upset with this purchase! I would avoid Samsung in the future if looking for appliances. They look good, but break down within a year of purchase.

I will NEVER purchase any Samsung products ever again. I will also let everyone I know to never purchase Samsung products. I purchased a Samsung refrigerator one year and almost a month ago. The refrigerator has completely stopped working because Samsung put a faulty part in the fridge. They will not do anything to help me or fix this problem because the warranty is one year and it has been 22 DAYS past the warranty. Samsung has told me I will have to pay $160 just to look at the refrigerator + parts which they would not disclaim to me an estimate of how much the part could cost. I had a technician (not from Samsung) come out and look at the fridge prior to calling Samsung and they saw that Samsung had put in a cord that was supposed to have 3 prongs but was broken and only had 2 prongs. They informed me that they could replace the part which would be at least $250 dollars. However that still will not guarantee if the refrigerator will still work because the faulty part might of completely damaged the fridge for good. The technician informed me that I was lucky because the refrigerator could have completely blown up due to the faulty part. I called Samsung after I had learned what the issue was and they would not do anything about it unless I paid for them to fix the fridge and they did not guarantee that even after paying that if the fridge still does not work that they would do anything about it. They basically told me that I would have to keep paying more money to get it fixed because the warranty was up 22 days ago and it is now no longer their fault. What company puts a BROKEN part into an expensive and large purchase putting a household family in danger and then doesnt own up to it nor replace the part?! This is the worst customer service I have ever received my whole life and I am 55 years old and have owned many homes and many appliances in my lifetime. Samsung makes faulty products that are a danger to the consumer and then charges the consumer ridiculous amounts of money to fix it. What a greedy, dishonest, unreliable and manipulative company. Bought from HHgregg a Samsung stainless package 08/01/13. Delivered and installed it 09/07/13. Everything worked great for a year except the dishwasher (DW80F800 series with stormwash). This dishwasher was why it took a month because it was an upgrade to the one on order but was out of stock. This dishwasher sucks! Not only does it not dry dishes from the beginning when I got it; yes I use the jet dry liquid rinse aid, error messages now keep coming on even after repairman came and replaced the main board (which took almost three weeks of hand-washing dishes), it does not have a heat drying element. $700 piece of **, after reading all the reviews of the same thing happening with lots of other Samsung dishwashers. As one reviewer said, Samsung needs to stick to making cell phones!P.S. We purchased a French Door Samsung Refrigerator - model number RF4287HARS/XAA 2.5 years ago. We paid nearly $3000 for it at Best Buy. A little over two weeks ago the ice maker went out and soon to follow was the freezer and fridge. We called Samsung and after three phone calls of escalation they finally agreed to cover the diagnostic as an accommodation since we did not purchase the extended warranty. The repair guy has been here twice and has finally deemed it as non repairable. Each visit was over two hours and most of the time was spent with him on the phone with Samsung tech support. They replaced the CFAN and the main PCB but it still will not work. The repair company has sent 11 pictures to Samsung showing the error codes still coming up despite the repairs. Samsung is giving us the run around saying that they want the repair company to come back out. Not only are we out a very expensive appliance, $100s of food plus having to eat out mostly, we have lost countless hours on the phone back and forth as well as waiting on the repair guy. At what point does a company stand behind their product and actually take care of their customers? Samsung should be ashamed.

Samsung dishwasher dw80f800uws purchased 2/14 stopped working and emitted an error code on 3/25/16. (Note, 2 days before my Easter brunch). Samsung service center called and I went over error code and how that didnt seem to be the problem. I was told my best bet would be to buy a $300 service extended warranty, which I did, and they would contact a local approved appliance repair company and have them contact me. The service call provided no answer as he also found nothing that related to the error code. He returned another time to vacuum out the stale water (smells awful inside now) and said he will order every part that it might take to fix and it could be as long as 2 months. I smiled and said no way. He replied Oh yes. There are at least nine other customers waiting on parts I was later told. I was shocked- never have I ever had to wait that long for any appliance repair in all my years. As an avid cook and baker I am beyond frustrated. I purchased 4 Samsung kitchen appliances August 1, 2014 when I moved into my retirement home. Since that time - within the first 18 months, my microwave had 4 service calls. Gratefully, I maintained my Home Warranty protection that was provided for the home and have renewed that warranty annually. The home warranty company ORHP - sent appliance technicians out and a Samsung certified technician who could not repair the microwave. Eventually, after 3 weeks they replaced the microwave with a Samsung upgraded unit. It is still working 2 years later. Now the refrigerator icemaker freezes up and I have to use a hair dryer monthly to defrost the ice build up in the icemaker box. The refrigerator is a French door model that has a flipper on the left door which locks in place that door when closing. It also broke. After reviewing some online videos, I ordered a small tension spring for $8 + shipping, popped the flipper bar apart, replaced the tension spring, and fixed the issue. Now, in September 2018, my dishwasher has broke not allowing the door to close and lock. The repair part is available and easily replaced so I had the home warranty company send out a tech who replaced the part on 9/12/18. On 9/23/18 after loading dishwasher after a BBQ with friends, the same problem re-appeared. To top that off, I recorded the dishwasher while in the rinsing and drying cycle so the tech can hear hit. I re-played the recording for my wife and daughter who thought I went to an airport and recorded a jet taking off or landing...the noise decibel level is high...My Samsung 5 burner stove - I find that the grates are not really safe and worry when the grandkids are at the home. When you put a frying pan or pot on the grates - they wobble until you position them just right. They are not made with enough cross members to support smaller pots or frying pans. On more than one occasion, I put an 8 frying pan on the grate to fry eggs and the pan just flops downward until the handle touches the stove or countertop. You need to counterbalance the pan with the eggs and position carefully. I am negotiating selling my 4 appliances to a relative to place into one of her rental homes and buying a completely different brand.

This company is a joke. My refrigerator went out 3 months after we purchased it. It took them 2 wks to get a tech out only to tell us that he could not fix it. I have to call just about every day to ask what going on. Every time their response is I am going to escalate your ticket, you should hear back from us within 48 hrs or 7 - 10 business days and here I am two months and a half after and Samsung cannot provide me with a replaced refrigerator nor a refund. I will never purchase anything from Samsung again!!!

Two years ago I bought a Samsung kitchen suite. Within the first few months my ice maker on the fridge went out and the dishwasher motherboard had to be replaced. We have had constant issues with the dishwasher. It does not stop running so we have to unplug it. Service is coming again and I have had enough. I want a new dishwasher that works properly. Did I happen to say that it is only two years old? Samsungs customer service is in India and they are no fun to deal with. When I asked them to replace it they said talk to the Best Buy WHERE I bought it from. Best Buy said to call Samsung for a replacement. NO ONE IS TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR A BAD PRODUCT. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES EVER!!!!

I replaced my refrigerator which had served me 27 plus years (it was Whirlpool). I wanted to upgrade, so my son recommended Samsung. It has only been 6 yrs., but the plastic shelves were so brittle on both the refrigerator and freezer. It only took 2 years when these shelves were showing signs of undurability. We are only 3, 65-year-old plus women (sisters) in the household, so we are very careful on our belongings. I am not in the position anymore to buy new ones since I am on fixed income and cant afford to make a big purchase. But now I have to make a loan to buy a new one. When we open the refrigerator and freezer, we get so disgusted. It cost me so much money that it makes me sick to my stomach that this expensive refrigerator is a piece of crap! I will not buy anything Samsung. I’m going to look for Maytag, Whirlpool, or Frigidaire. I dont trust these new companies! I hope Samsung will do something about my problem. I can send them pictures of the shelves.

During a heat wave mid January 2014 Victoria Australia this appliance decided to switch itself off. LED lighting on front panel showed no indication of this but the huge puddle on the floor sure did. All of the food in both refrigerator and freezer had to be thrown out. Repair people called, also call to Samsung who told me to try resetting the fridge, long story short. I followed their instructions to the letter, even cancelling the repairman.. What about all my food? Sent me forms, I sent back with photos of some of food on my tiled floor. On repeated phone calls was asked for receipts of food that was spoiled. Well slap me dead, please! Who keeps receipts on food, esp when frozen things could be 3 plus months ago.I was offered $100.00 compensation. I said that was not good enough. Do you know how expensive meat is? Anyway contacted consumer affairs here in Australia. They could do nothing except of advise to contact another govt organization and lodge a claim with them, VCAT, not to mention there is a cost involved with that. Three months on, no contact, no cheque and this last time I or my family will buy anything associated with Samsung.

I purchased a French door refrigerator from Lowes about 15 months ago and I purchased a 5 year extended warranty in case something went wrong with the appliance. After about 14 months the refrigerator went bad and started popping the CGFI plug in the house. After contacting Lowes to request help in support of this issue and try to use the extended warranty I was told that the warranty company refused to help saying that it was our fault the refrigerator was not working. I contacted Samsung to ask for help, they said they can send someone to diagnose the issue but it would cost me additional $165.00 for labor.I agreed to this but the person who was supposed to perform the diagnoses was not even qualified to work on refrigerator and Im sure he was not certified by Samsung to work on their appliances. He blamed us like the Lowes supposed qualified technician that it was our fault that the refrigerator was not working. I have contact both Samsung and Lowes many time without any progress. I have decided not to ever buy anything from Samsung or Lowes. I hope you can learn from my mistake in dealing with well known companies. I can provide receipts if I feel this is going somewhere. I have spent too many hours waiting for people to show and diagnose and on hold, making phone call and talking with managers.

I purchased a Refrigerator for over $3000.00, the entire CHEF collection for over $7000.00 thinking I was buying high quality appliances. Instead I get an Ice Maker that wont work and was told by the repairman it was due to the higher water pressure in the US. I have to keep defrosting it with my hairdryer. It is already cracked. The microwave wont respond to my finger on the controls unless I hold it flat not my fingertip. Part of the name has come off the dishwasher. In my opinion and experience if you want good appliances DONT BUY SAMSUNG. They are very poor quality and all you will get is excuses. Mine were less than a year old when they started breaking.

Samsung refrigerator RF263AEBP - I have had this refrigerator for about 4 years now and it has had problems from a little after its first year. It would defrost everything for a couple of days and then start working again. This went on for months and I just figured it was a weird glitch. Then it started this loud grinding sound from the refrigerator section and it acted like it finally died. I called a repairman and he looked inside and said it was the fan but he couldnt work on it because the fan was frozen solid. He told me to leave it open for a few days while he ordered the part. I lost all of my groceries I had just bought. The repairman never seemed to get the part and after a month of no refrigerator, I plugged it back it and it worked perfectly fine for awhile. So this has been going on every few months until yesterday. The refrigerator wont cool now -- its at 66 -- and the freezer is working perfect. I have had it with this refrigerator!

I bought the RF217AWCP French Door in Nov. 2011. I had problems with crisper drawers filling with water. This week the motor started running loud and quit cooling altogether. I spent over $400 to have back panel, evaporator and fan piece replaced. The tech advised that he does the repair often and it is a known quality issue. When I called Samsung service, I was told 1) they have no complaints filed in their database on this model and 2) I probably was keeping too much food in it. Unbelievable!

We bought this range, Samsung NX58H565OWS in October 2014. In 3 years of normal family usage, we have had to replace the thermal coupler twice. All the knobs that control the stove top have broken and the cast iron grates have even broken. In over 25 years of owning appliances, I have never had one that broke down in so many ways. Never had knobs or grates broken before and two thermo couplers??? To make matters worse, my local appliance repair company wont service Samsung, wish Id known that before I bought it, lesson learned. I understand why they wont service this badly constructed stove/range. When I contact Samsung for help, the first guy hung up on me. The second lady just sent me to the parts department so that I could purchase all the replacement parts I needed. Time to buy a new stove, never again will it be a Samsung. Really disappointed!

For over 3 weeks, I have reached out to Samsung Customer Service to get a resolution on a new stove that never worked. No one has helped me yet. Below is a summary of the contacts I have made. My last two attempts to contact customer service have left me at a dead end. I was told there was no number for me to contact and that I must wait to receive a call from Samsungs Office of the President. After over 3 weeks without a stove and not a single follow-up call from Samsung, you can only imagine how frustrating this is. I have not cooked on a stove for over 3 weeks now.On 9-15-2012, I bought a new stove from Lowes in Fort Collins, Colorado. On 9-17-2012, I contacted Samsung Customer Service to report that the stove top did not work and caused large electrical surges in my house. On 9-19-2012, I called Customer Service again because no one had called me back. They apologized for the slow follow-up and got me in touch with Elite Services, a repair company in Greeley, CO.On 9-21-2012, the service company looked at the stove and determined that the entire mechanical components of the stove top needed to be replaced. According to the service company, an order was placed through Samsung. On 10-3-2012, after no follow-ups from Samsung or the repair company, I called again, only to determine that Samsung dropped the ball and that nothing was happening. From what I gathered, the part for my brand-new stove was no longer made and they would see if there was some sort of alternative part. My confidence continued to dissipate. On 10-3-2012, I emailed the Office of the CEO through the Samsung Customer Service website and received an automated reply that I would be contacted in 1-2 business days. On 10-8-2012 at 8:30, I contacted customer service again since I have not received any calls from Samsung. They basically told me my issue was being reviewed by a manager and that someone would be in touch with me by the end of the day.On 10-8-2012 at 4:00 PM, after not hearing back from Samsung, I called again. They said the issue was being handled by the Office of the President. It was not possible for me to speak to anyone, but someone would call me possibly that night. I could not call anyone in the Office of the President. I was told they would have to call me. There was a refusal to put me in touch with a person that had the authority to handle my issue. Again, I was told to be patient and wait.On 10-9-2012 9:45 AM after not hearing back from Samsung, I called again and of course, got the same answer. Customer service could not help me nor provide any answers. I must only wait for someone from the Office of the President to call me. A timeline was not provided and I was told that there was nothing else that customer service or I could do but to just wait for a call back.I researched a phone number for Samsung corporate, 201-229-4000. I was put on hold and waited to speak with customer service from the Office of the President. After a couple of minutes, a message came on and said the call volume was too high and to leave a message and theyll call me back. Through research, I think the President of this Samsung department is David Choi.Certainly, I am very disappointed with the complete lack of care, concern, follow-through, etc., from Samsung on a brand new product. I am very concerned that there is no confidence on the proper repair for a part that is no longer made. I wont settle for anything but a repair that makes the stove operate like new, or a new stove. I have not had a stove to cook on for over 3 weeks now and I have given Samsung ample time to correct this. Here is an excerpt from Samsung’s Code of Conduct: 12 - Principle 3. We respect customers, shareholders and employees. The Company will endeavor to reach just resolutions of customer-related disputes and will respond to the complaints of customers in a transparent, timely and effective manner. This has not been transparent, timely or effective.

A few years ago, I bought a Samsung oven/range/stove. Today, I pressed the self-clean button. The oven status display started beeping and displayed an error code E-0E and flashed an icon of a padlock. I researched trouble shooting, tried to reset, powered cycled, etc. Nothing worked. The oven no longer works - it only flashes the display - E-0E and there is no way to stop it. I called Samsung and after getting a magnifying glass and super bright light to read the M/C number and serial number ON THE BOTTOM OF THE OVEN, the lady told me the unit was out of warranty (big surprise). She then told me that for about $300.00 (about 40% of the price of the oven), I could buy a warranty and it would cover the repair. I said no - so they transferred me to a service number where they informed me it would cost about $225.00 for a service call to diagnose the problem. I asked them why the oven was equipped with a self-destruct button - and how it is possible that an oven could die after barely 2 years of light use. No answer.

Samsung has continued to produce a defective ice maker for more than 10 years. The unit clogs up with frost & ice that prevents the unit from working. The plastic components including the ice bin and auger are very thin and developed cracks soon after use. Repeated calls to Samsung customer service do not solve the problem, they will charge you for a service call, but the expensive repairs do not fix the problem. A class action lawsuit remains open and unresolved. In the meantime user have to use a hair dryer between once a week to once a month to melt out the ice jam in the top of the unit. Samsung refuses to stand behind their product, and even worse continues to manufacture it.

I have already read several accounts of what has also happened to us - our refrigerator stopped cooling, allowing our food to go bad, which I feel put our family at risk of food-borne illness. We also had to throw all of our food which was substantial. This is clearly not an isolated incident and I feel that Samsung is being very irresponsible. Instead of issuing a recall, which would be the ethical thing to do, they are avoiding helping consumers find any solution at all. I posted my issue on their Facebook page and mine was the only complaint that went unanswered - likely because of the class action suit against them for just this reason. If they help you, they are admitting something was flawed with the design. I contacted them directly and I have not heard back yet. Very disappointed.

Samsung Dishwashers 5E Drain Code Error Flashing Delicate Light Applies to
Samsung Dishwashers 5E Drain Code Error Flashing Delicate Light Applies to many models. After much research, this helped me. Dishwasher went through all cycles but stopped after trying to drain flashing delicate light. Check the drain line and sink drain for plugging and kinks. Make sure the drain pump is working and not noisy. If it is check the motor resistance with a meter replace if needed from underneath the unit Part # DD32-00005A.MY problem was the rubber check valve / check vane at the bottom of the unit was twisted Part # DD66-00045A and would allow water back into the dishwasher. Hence all the complaints about dirty dishes. A Philips screwdriver is all you need to disassemble the bottom portion of the pump assembly from INSIDE the dishwasher and replace it. It is located at the very bottom of the sump outlet and you pull it out with needle nose pliers. Check the pump assembly diagrams online.Remove the small cover panel + clean off the white ECS sensor Part # DD82-01118A. If you get an E1 error check the resistance with a meter and replace from underneath. Clean out all the washer nozzles they plug up with food particles and re-assemble. Run a sanitize cycle with vinegar as described on Samsung website. This worked for me but there are other problems that may cause this like a control board or relay. Good luck! I, too, am in possession of a Samsung refrigerator with a corroding door. The fridge is 3+ years old and the area below the ice maker is corroding. The refrigerator is black and the spot where it is starting to corrode is very noticeable and is embarrassing to say the least. Obviously it was a really bad design and the door should be replaced. The warranty does not cover the cosmetic issue but I feel this is a workmanship issue that should be covered and is a product that is deficient and Samsung should provide new doors. I have called Samsung twice who told me that I should call the retailer who I purchased the extended warranty from and the retailer told me to call the manufacturer. I will not make another purchase of any Samsung product and will not use the retailer any longer.

This Samsung refrigerator was bought at Sears in winter of 2011. Model number RF266AEPN. Over the past year, we have had to defrost it twice for several days in order to let the ice melt and soak up the resulting water with towels. I clean the back lower area too but this has not been dirty. The problem starts with the back inside vents icing up and the fan begins to make noise. Eventually the temp rises. This is happening again after only 6 weeks. I have not contacted Sears or Samsung as I know it is beyond warranty but I plan to call anyway. I already know I will never buy another Samsung.
