Ditto on all the above comments. Unfortunately we did not see the reviews before our dishwasher purchase 1 yr ago. Just like others have commented on, dishes werent cleaning, drying, or finishing cycles. And dont forget about all the blue sensor lights flashing all the time without any indication of the problem. Service came out and told us its the Display Unit that needs to be fixed. A $300.00 part, even though we just paid $600.00 for it brand new a yr ago. Contacted customer service to explain our issue, and they said there is nothing they could do and good luck. At the same time they were servicing my Samsung dishwasher, they were trying to fix the Samsung refrigerator that we bought on the same day. REALLY! Both appliances have problems at the same time? How nice for Samsung. So after paying 2 service fees on the same day for 2 appliances, we have decided to throw the dishwasher out in the driveway and put a sign on it saying FREE - Junk. We did mention to customer services about all the horrible reviews, and they could careless because they know more unaware consumers are going to make the bad choice of buying anything from Samsung.

I havent had my Samsung model RF195 refrigerator two years and water and ice are forming under the vegetable drawers. I was told the drain is plug and it could cost up to $150 to fix. I will have to unplug my refrigerator for 2 days and they will have to put in a new improved part in the drain that is deeper and replace another part along with it. The company I purchased it from who is also my repairman stated he just repaired another one the previous week. It sounds to me like this is a huge issue with Samsung refrigerators. I am not happy about putting $150 in a less than 2-year old fridge. Samsung needs to step up, take credit for the mistake, and offer some type of resolution to the solution!

I bought my house last year in May. In June when I bought the house had Samsung appliances, I called Samsung in June of last year about the refrigerators ice maker. It leaks all the time every day. I have mold in the bottom. There is water everywhere. They said well if you pay us $85.00 to come out and look at the fridge we will come out. This is totally unacceptable. I didnt buy the damn thing. Just saw the problems you are having with your washing machines, I will get a class action against you about this damn refrigerator if you dont call me and come out and replace this ice maker with one that does not leak. Trust me I will be on social media like you have never seen. You have my phone number. I look forward to hearing from you. This is causing big problems.

A little more than 2 years ago, I bought a Samsung refrigerator (Model RFG295ARRS) at Lowes. This refrigerator has been leaking from day one since. Due to the fact that my house and business were under construction, my appliances from Lowes were not delivered until 9 or 10 months later, and besides this situation, I was not able to occupy my house and business until the City of Lansing granted me permission to occupy. It took about another 3 or four months for me to do that. Due to the fact that my residence and business are in the same building, I ended paying about $2600 for my refrigerator (I do not recall very well, but I still have my receipt). When Samsung technicians came to my house on June 30th, 2012 and July 21, 2012, they told me that my refrigerator is not repairable. I am trying to get back my $328.94 that they charged me to repair it the first time (June 30th). This refrigerator came defective from the manufacturer, that is what one of the technicians told me the first time and he said that the manufacturer knows that but they had kept quiet due to a recall or that they have to recall all the refrigerators. At the same time, this technician told me that he was aware of the problem and that they had fixed before, but they did not do that with mine and that is why I want my money back. Because they lied to me. Samsung is bad, bad product, bad reputation. I will ask my children to put this in Facebook and everywhere so people are aware of this problem. Now I know there are hundreds of complaints.

I also bought a Samsung dishwasher about 2 years ago and I will never buy another Samsung dishwasher again. And I wouldnt buy another Samsung appliance either because of it. The issue I am having is with the lower arm. It keeps popping out from the tube it sits in. Every time I have make sure its in but 9 times out of ten its out when its finished. At first I thought the part had sheared somehow and that is why it was loose. So I bought another arm. $110.00 bucks! The new one popped in and lo & behold it did the same thing. I also have the same issue with the black gunk that builds up at the bottom of the door. I clean it quite often. Its GROSS! If you have a Samsung dishwasher run a paper towel along the inside of the bottom of the door. See what you get!

We bought a Samsung refrigerator, model RS2630SH and have had multiple problems with it. Like many others who have reviewed Samsung refrigerators, ours too leaves water and ice at the bottom of the unit. You have to get a rubber hammer sometimes to dislodge it. We have had the compressor fail, and the unit stills gets hot. We had to pay for all repairs as the warranty is worthless. The ice maker freezes up. I could go on and on. We also bought a Samsung dishwasher. It does an extremely poor job of washing dishes. In fact, you have to pre-wash everything by hand. We will never buy a Samsung product again.

My dishwasher started leaking badly. Upon my inspection, the bottom door seal was falling apart/disintegrating. I went to Lowes where I purchased it (this was one month after my 3 year extended warranty had expired) and asked to order the part in order for my plumber to repair it. They could not find the correct part but tried to sell me a part anyway. I knew enough to know that was not a part I needed So, I came back home and called Samsung for help. They referred me to J & J Parts which is their official distributor of Samsung parts. They could not find the individual part I needed. Moreover, they indicated that Samsung built that rubber piece into the door and I would have to buy the door for $254 to solve the problem! I called Samsung back and explained the issue. They didnt seem to care and said I would have to call an official Samsung tech. to come out and fix the problem. So I did that hoping it would cost me much less than $254 and the seal would be repaired. The tech confirmed what J & J Parts said to me on the phone - that I would have to order most of the door piece (over $200) and then the labor cost to add on to that made the estimate to repair at over $400! The Samsung tech visit cost me $97 for nothing that I didnt figure out myself! All this headache for a 22 piece of rubber seal! The bottom line is this: dont buy a Samsung dishwasher (my model #DW80H993), if you did and this happens, dont waste your time and money to try and fix it. I obviously would not spend the $400 for this piece of trash, so I bought a new and different dishwasher with a 5 year warranty.

I purchased the Samsung dishwasher model DMR78AHS in November of 2010. Within the first couple of months the upper rack vertical adjustment clips broke. On November 2011 the dishwasher started faulting out with the 9E code. A service man was sent out and ended up replacing the sensor level. Within a week the dishwasher started making this loud grinding noise. The noise eventually went away. November 2012 the dishwasher started faulting out with the 9E code again. The sensor level was replaced again. October 28th 2013, dishwasher started 9E faults again. I will either replace the sensor level or buy another dishwasher. I will never buy another Samsung dishwasher.

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher Model Number: DW80F600UTS/AA on June 22, 2014. Everything seemed to be working fine until November 30, 2014. We had issues with the Dishwasher, Product Symptoms: Operation/Doesnt work/Doesnt dry. This was covered under Samsungs warranty within a year. It is now August 2015 and were already having another issue with this Dishwasher - we had an appliance repair person come to the house and he tells me we now need a computer board for this dishwasher. One hundred something dollars and thats just for the part, thats not covering labor to install the part. The Technician is telling me if you have any sort of voltage issues these Dishwashers will need parts replaced. What is getting me angry is that we have a whole house surge protector protecting our main breaker and were still having issues. I would expect issues after several years say 4, or 5 not within the first year to year and 1/2. I contacted Samsung Customer Service and explained to them the latest issue. I also explained to them there was another issue several months after we bought this Dishwasher. Samsungs reply was its over the warranty, period. You used to buy appliances from Sears no less that would last years, now you pay good money thinking youre getting a good product - Samsung no less - and this is the way they treat you. It is not right. Period.

$2900 Samsung french door refrigerator. Ice maker failed a little over a year after we bought it. I would have to remove the ice bin and use a blow dryer to melt ice buildup internally in the back of the freezer for about an hour each month to get the ice maker to make ice. Customer service was no help. Technician said it would cost $500 to fix. Refrigerator stopped cooling after two and one-half years. It would cost nearly $1000 to repair. Replaced it and will never buy another Samsung product.

I spent nearly $6,000 on new refrigerator, range, dishwasher and microwave less than one year ago and also bought the extended warranty. The first dishwasher they delivered did not work at all and they had to bring a new one. The stainless steel refrigerator was replaced twice after several service attempts to fix ice maker that makes only crushed ice. The unit still only makes crushed ice because it is a design flaw and with every glass of cubed ice you get about 30% of crushed ice. I bought the biggest and best unit on the market.. and we are very disappointed.. The wording ice and water rubbed off within the first couple months and was unreadable. Today, I had problems with the microwave. The numbers are beginning to wear off the front panel. When I called Samsung service they indicate that is a cosmetic issue and not covered by the warranty. I would never ever consider buying Samsung appliances for my kitchen.

Have the Samsung French door 25 cu. refrigerator. Started noticing water under crisper. $400 repair. Technician says he sees this problem on a regular basis and seems to be a design error! Contact Samsung to at least pay for the part and got the pat answer that it was out of warranty (true), however its not a defective part but a faulty design. Googled it and got 4,690,000 results. Escalated problem as per Samsung to exec level. Was told I would be contacted in two business days. Two WEEKS later, no contact. I do recommend anyone buying this product.

Samsung Refrigerator Model #RF323TEDBSR/AA. Unfortunately, I did not see the reviews on Samsung Refrigerators and made the worst mistake of purchasing one - my first and last Samsung appliance! It seems that most consumers are having issues with the ice makers, as well as myself. Within a few months after purchasing the Samsung refrigerator, the ice maker was not working properly and it is now not working at all. I paid $2,400 for this refrigerator. I just dont understand how a company is able to continue ripping consumers off!! In addition to other very frustrated consumers, I continue to let everyone I know via internet and otherwise to NOT purchase Samsung appliances.

I purchased my Samsung SM 26CF 4D refrigerator in July of 2014 for almost $1000. Now neither the refrigerator nor the freezer are working. In addition, it is kept at a residence I rent out but only had my first renter of the season in May. When he got there the entire contents were rotten and even after a cleaning, the interior smells horrible. I have called Samsung 3 different times only to be told each time someone will respond per their policy within 48 hours. That was 3 weeks ago. They also said they would escalate it to their executive team and they would call back within 48 hours. This means nothing as I last heard from them 6 days ago when I called them. To get me off track the rep said I needed my receipt, which I have had since the first time I called. He then said These things take time. Their customer services is horrible and they look for reasons not to fulfill their responsibilities. Please do not buy a Samsung appliance from them.

We purchased the oven in 2016 with a convection feature which we initially really liked & used the convection part almost exclusively. In 2019 I saw a flash of light which I thought was flames coming from the back of the stove. I immediately turned the Oven off & the flames disappeared. Since then we had 3 issues where the convection oven got much hotter than the temperature display indicated & burned the food. We had a repairman come out who determined that the oven temperature was 27 degrees hotter than what the temperature indicator showed. He adjusted the range to lower the temperature 27 degrees to match the range indicator. All of these incidents happened with the convection feature. We stopped using it & only used the regular baking feature. Four days later, my sister was baking a meatloaf at 350 degrees. 15 minutes before it should have been done, it looked like it was already done & before she could take it out of the oven a loud explosion occurred shattering the glass baking dish into pieces. Needless to say, we do not trust this range and will never buy another Samsung appliance!

The technicians used my hair dryer to melt ice then left. After several visits, I asked Samsung to replace my refrigerator which had an obvious problem. They did give me one more free repair. After that was used, I had to pay out of my pocket. I did BUY an extended warranty thru the repair company. The refrigerator is freezing up again and the technicians can not come out for two weeks. Recently bought a home that had fairly new Samsung appliances. Not thrilled with brand to begin with. After experiencing several service calls, I will NEVER EVER BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. Fridge was leaking, tech came and cleaned lines. Thought it was resolved. Then we had problems with ice maker. Did some kind of service. Didnt resolve loud banging noise. (2 service calls) Had to buy brand new ice maker... another service call. Fridge started leaking again. My research concluded that the line behind back wall needs a clip. Wall has to be totally removed and line repaired... another $189. OR we can shut down fridge overnight and it will resolve. Well, that worked... for a month. Now I have the pooling of water under the produce shelf which ultimately leaks onto floor. Do I dare call the service tech again??? What else is lurking after this problem? Way too many problems with these expensive and newer appliances! Do you know if there is a class action suit regarding these appliances, and if so... Im IN!

No working fridge for 4 months and counting. I purchased the Samsung 22.3 Cu Ft counter deep Side-by-side refrigerator with thru the door ice and water - stainless steel. Model RS22HDHPNSR on March 21st, 2015. This fridge was to be the center piece of my kitchen renovation. It was my one big shiny splurge, costing me $2100. My fridge worked fine from March 2015 until November 2016, when it stopped compressing cold air. Since the parts were still under warranty Samsung agreed to have technicians from A&E electrical come to my home in Northern California SIX times over a period of FOUR months to replace the compressor, a 4-way valve and a motherboard. They have also reduced the pressure on something and then the next time increased the pressure on that same part. According to my calculations Samsung has paid over $1400 to fix my fridge, which is inefficient for this company and extremely frustrating and time-consuming for me. Each time a technician comes to my home they try to fix it and they cant. When a technician does come to my home it is not trivial. I have to take time away from work and wait for them to arrive over a 4 hour period (9 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to 5 pm). There have been two occasions when the technician had to reschedule because he had overbooked his schedule and one occasion when the technician just didnt turn up and didnt even call to reschedule. When the technician does actually turn up and has attempted to fix my fridge and failed, I immediately call Samsung and then have to explain my situation all over again. I then have to wait for another 2-3 weeks before a technician can come out again. And then the same thing happens all over again! Im at the point now where I have had the fridge finally deemed as unrepairable by a technician and have sent in my proof of purchase and the technicians report to executive customer services by email. Ive also threatened to take legal action if I am not compensated immediately because 4 months without a fridge and two young boys is physically and mentally quite miserable. For me $2100 is just too much money to throw away so I have no choice but to keep fighting this corrupt company. I am very disappointed that Samsung customer service have threaded me along for so long.

We love the microwave when its working properly. Its only 4 years old and has failed three times. Each repair was easy and cheap once diagnosed. 1) Heard beeps during the night. Eventually beeped more often and left the dreaded SE error code. Called Samsung support and they suggested unplugging the unit and plug back in after a few minutes. Effectively they were telling me to reboot it. That didnt work. Found YouTube video with the fix for this problem. The ribbon cable connecting to the touchpad goes over a sharp metal edge frame of the control panel and vibration from fan operation eventually rubs through the cable causing a short. The fix was simple and only took about 20 minutes. I put a piece of electrical tape on the sharp metal edge and voila, no more beeping and no more SE error code. Samsung should have put a piece of slit PVC tubing on the sharp edge and this would never happen. Design problem! Cost to fix = price of two inch strip of electrical tape. 2) Door would not stay closed when shut. Found another YouTube about this. Tiny plastic tang which one end of door latch tension spring attaches to broke off. Replaced it with a tiny #4 sheet metal screw. Took 15 minutes. Cost to fix one small screw already on hand.3) Microwave would not turn on. Online search implied could be faulty door microswitch. Testing with cheap VOM showed which of three microswitches was faulty but suspected the one that no longer clicked and rebounded when activated by finger pressure. Found exact factory replacement online for $5 with free shipping. Took less than a week to arrive. 20 minutes to diagnose and replace. Doubt that many homeowners would have attempted doing all these repairs on their own. Three service calls even with almost no parts cost would more than pay for a new microwave, most likely not Samsung LOL.

If you want the worlds worst customer service and to deal with a company who will do anything to avoid standing by their warranty, then buy a Samsung. On May 16 our side by side fridge stopped working. We have been EXTREMELY frustrated with customer support. We were first told Williamston TV in Farmingdale, NY would be calling us to set up an appointment. After not receiving a call from them, I called their center and they informed me they do not work on appliances. I contacted Samsung again and was given Rods in Riverhead, NY. Someone was suppose to come out today between 9 and 10 am - but no one from their center ever answered their phone. My husband ended up losing a days work because he took off to be home for the repairman. When I googled that company, their average review received 1 out of 5 stars (with many references of no one answering their phone and people never showing up to their house). I then called Samsung again and after 1/2 hour the customer service woman told us those were the only 2 centers on Long Island. Finally she told us we could get our own diagnostic and email it. Local appliance company - Recommended new refrigerator. Unit has bad evaporated coil and cover. According to the warranty from website this is covered under the 5 YEAR PARTS AND LABOR. In addition to the inconvenience, we have lost several hundred dollars in spoiled food, my husband losing a day of work, and a freezer full of pumped breast milk for my 3 month old. We need to have a response and action done immediately as we are continuing to have to go to the store to get ice to store my sons milk and keep my one and half year old sons medicine.Samsungs email response - We are sorry to hear about your response, we will dispatch Williamston TV repair. (Note - this is exactly the company I mentioned that does not work on appliances.) Samsung Executive Customer Service phone response - We need to wait for Samsung to look over and evaluate their contract with Rods. If they decide Rods is not responsive then they will put our claim through an evaluation to see if they will in fact accept the local appliance diagnostic and allow them to do the repair, a process which could take two weeks to get an approval. Shame on you Samsung! Stop telling me I will do everything to help you and I am sorry to hear you are experiencing problems. We have to wash and basically polish the control panel - which runs along the bottom of the door, in order to regain control of the unit. And just for the record, the door can be spotlessly clean and it will still happen. And as the last couple of months have shown, the incidents are increasing in frequency. Also, if there is any time remaining after use (and no one clears the settings), the microwave will sporadically start to run. Imagine being in bed and having your microwave turn on - or the fan burst on. After reading other reviews I do not feel encouraged to call Samsung and unfortunately I will seek replacement with another manufacturer.

They told me the refrigerator Consumer report best refrigerator. The refrigerator I purchased has been nothing but a piece of junk, almost all my shelves on the door has broken every winter. I have leaks behind the crisper drawer and have to unthaw it. And my ice maker keeps screwing up and has broken the basket because of water leaking all down in it and this is not the first time it has done this. I will never purchase another Samsung refrigerator as long as I live.

We purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator six months ago. Since then, we have had a service call on the ice maker (which was not screwed into the mounting and fell so you couldnt open/close the freezer door). Today, the food was melted and the refrigerator warm. Lights and temp gauges showed it was working properly. Spent 45 minutes on the phone with Samsung to get authorization of warranty to call a local appliance man. Now they will not even give me a date when it might be fixed. They will call me when they are available to come to my home. Best guess is four days away as the soonest!!!The appliance is not worth the money, and the service and warranty are definitely not customer oriented! I would definitely not recommend a Samsung, and will NEVER purchase again!

I have a Samsung French Door Fridge. DONT PURCHASE ONE!! It is the most frustrating piece of expensive equipment one could own. The ice maker has a mind and a life of its own. It freezes up every two to three days and is totally useless. I am so disappointed with this product and from what I have read above getting help from Samsung is as hopeful as a dog chasing its tail and catching it. You go round and round in circles. I paid almost $2400.00 for it Canadian. I would not recommend this machine to anyone. Stay far, far away from this beastly machine. It is a disaster waiting for a place to happen.

I got the dreaded SE error message and went online because there is no troubleshooting article in the booklet. Did the Fix from a YOUTUBE video... and also learned from YOUTUBE videos that Samsung was providing new keypads on these because it was such a known defect. So I called Samsung... and was told that indeed they are NOT doing that... that I needed to contact the local repair person. So I did... and he told me to call Samsung again and lie to them that I was worried my microwave was going to burn down my house... thus forcing them to provide the free part (and service to install). So, all that to say that I wish I had purchased some other brand of microwave... note taken.

We love our Samsung Smart French Door refrigerator! It is counter-depth, with the black fingerprint resistant finish. Beautiful appliance that really looks fantastic in our kitchen. This refrigerator has a surprisingly large food capacity. It has the 4-zone drawer, adjustable shelves, ice maker and water in the door. One of my absolutely favorite feature of this refrigerator though is the built-in pitcher inside of the door. It can be used as a fruit infusion pitcher and it automatically refills itself! The bottom freezer has two drawers with separations and makes organization easy.

My Samsung microwave oven was purchased about 4 years before a move across several counties and lasted there about 6 more years. The oven was dark, rated about 1000 watts, and always cooked at an even pace. A bag of popcorn at 3.5 Oz. was usually cooked at 2 minutes, any more scorching the bag. My family used the dinner dish recook setting often. Some dinner plates were frozen while others were not, but the oven cooked them to a nice & hot serving temperature. The oven worked well daily until that final day when it quit for good. We replaced it with another Samsung microwave oven.

I would like to report a flaw in the design of the French Door refrigerator
I would like to report a flaw in the design of the French Door refrigerator with bottom freezer drawer-model number RF260BEAESP/AA. The ice maker allows ice to exit the rear of the unit when the freezer drawer is pulled open for removal of frozen food or for ice removal. The ice then is deposited on the freezer floor. This not only wastes ice, it creates a collection of ice cubes which eventually inhibit the secure closing of the freezer drawer. Eventually, the incomplete seal of the closure allows frost to build up on the contents of the freezer. I would hope that Samsung redesigns the ice maker and its location within the freezer drawer.

All the other appliances I love EXCEPT the dishwasher.... it is awful. It does not get the dishes clean. I cannot fit my 11-inch plates in it... the bowls, forget about it. The top rack, please do not get me started. It uses all the Jet Dry in one wash. I cant get the racks to adjust... which they are supposed to do. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing the dishwasher. I had purchased the refrigerator and was somewhat satisfied so I purchased the dishwasher so that the appliances would match. Both are stainless steel (so they say but magnets stick to the front of the dishwasher so you know its not stainless.) The front of the dishwasher has rusted but in addition to that (this was actually the icing on the cake) the dishwasher has not worked more than it has worked. Always stopping, giving blinking lights, had to replace the level sensor twice, clean out the line numerous time and it really doesnt clean well. The refrigerator while not rusting doesnt drain and a thick sheet of ice gets under the drawer. We have to take the drawer out and soak up the water and ice. Nothing but issues. I hate both appliances and will NEVER purchase another Samsung appliance again. I wont even take it for free. Thank you.

We bought our refrigerator about 4 yrs. ago, and have had nothing but problems from day one. The ice machine broke twice. The refrigerator froze up and filled with ice in the back, and had to be serviced. The water dispenser broke. The fridge fan broke. Now the freezer is out. It was under warranty at first, so all the repairs were taken care of. However, now the warranty has expired, and I couldnt get the company to extend it. So, we are having to pay for this stuff. Searching the internet has shown that my problems are not unique to us. It is a problem others have had, and there is a lawsuit going on. How disgusted that makes us. My former dishwasher which is a vibrant 15 year old + non-Samsung continues to run beautifully in our neighbors kitchen! Shame on Samsung for making such a poor quality product! Now we will have to further overload out landfills with another poorly constructed appliance! In addition, at the time of our kitchen reno we did also purchase an over the stove microwave which died after 3.5 years! Luckily we did have the extended warranty so it was replaced. But during the install one of the supporting screw brackets fell straight into the microwave. We had to get creative to ensure it was well support but my poor kitchen cabinetry has taken a beating! Our beautiful and expensive Samsung fridge has locked up several times, requiring a hard defrost. This time it actually burnt up the fan, requiring an emergency overnight purchase of a new fan. And were not sure the new fan will work - the serial numbers on our fan show that its no longer available, and Samsung doesnt have replacements. We had to go with a third party and hope their best guess is right. In the meantime our food is in coolers for two days, and the ** of it is that Im pretty sure that the best case scenario is that this fan will fit, and in a few months it will all freeze solid and lock up and burn the fan out again.Im ready to throw in the towel, but we spent a couple of grand on this (considerable for a not-wealthy family) and my husband wants to keep trying. Large burner (Samsung Induction Range NE58K9560WS) worked properly about three times then suddenly would turn off after about 3 seconds. First service attempt could not get it to work but if he traded out knob would work so was not prepared and had to return with another knob. Second service call different guy with different problems he could not figure out. Third call, original service guy who still could not get it to work properly so the same people they called for help each time said I had to use a VERY large heavy pot for it to work. I was not there. I heard this through my husband. So supposedly the same pot that didnt work before now does work on that burner and my husband was supposedly EDUCATED about the proper pan size to use for each burner. Interesting as my old induction Kenmore never had a problem, and I could use any size pan on any burner. Well when I got home I tried the large pot on the burner but the scale on the knob was completely off. As I turned the knob it does not start until I get to simmer and it boosts to a 6, then the next notch goes to 9. Then 8, then to 4!!! It is suppose to increase incrementally from 1 to 9! So I call back to tell them the problem and I am supposedly in service call time out, as they clearly dont believe the stove has anything wrong with it. I am very frustrated and really wish I had never purchased this appliance. Did I mention that the service techs rely on YouTube like videos to troubleshoot and repair, and also call their tech support.

After complaining about the ice maker on the RF263 for over a year because of poor production, Samsung said nothing could be done to shorten the cycle time. I am getting about 1 cycle per four hours. Even with Power Freeze (as recommended in the owner’s manual).I called Samsung tech support and they said that power freeze would cause slower production of ice. They said that the filter should be changed more often than six months and that I should not be using a whole house (huge) water filter. They asked me to press the reset button (and hold for 8 seconds), which I did and the ice dumped. They said not to expect ice for 12 hours and that I should be getting a dump about every 1 and 1/2 hours.Furthermore, the OM says to flush the new filter with at least six gallons of water – without telling me how to flush it! I asked why none of this was discussed in the woefully inadequate owner’s manual. Whats more, all the techs know is what is written down in front of them, without having any knowledge of why or the logic of what they are telling you to do (or not).

I bought a Samsung SMH9187 microwave in November 2010 and on 9/2/12, it spontaneously beeped and showed the dreaded SE code that so many have written about. I tried to cycle it per the instructions by unplugging the unit with no result. The keypad was dead. I called Samsung service who were less than helpful. They could not find an authorized repairman anywhere nearby and I live in a major metropolitan area. After spending about 4 hours trying to find a local repair person who works on Samsung with no luck, I called Samsung again and pressed very hard for a repairmans name in my area. They finally found only one. He, fortunately, was quite helpful over the phone, but so far away that he would not do the repair. He told me that the part number is DE94-02001C and is available for about $52 at Sears Parts Direct and mentioned that anyone handy with computers could make the repair. I was about to go that route when I found these posts and tried the quick fix of holding the Stop/Clear and Start buttons together - and so far, so good. Meanwhile, I would advise anyone considering a purchase of this unit to be sure there is a Samsung repairman nearby before purchasing. The microwave is clearly not reliable based on the number of keypad failures mentioned here within the first 15-36 months. Planned obsolescence and poor service to boot.

Darn thing runs for over 2 hours and the dishes dont come out very clean. We have to prewash them which is a real bummer. UNCLEAN stuff collects under the door frame at the bottom of the washer which needs to be wiped off. It was black like mold. This is a box that is supposed to clean and stay clean and it isnt. Id expect the company recall these units as they are not healthy. We paid a lot of money for this poorly designed machine and I am thinking about taking it back to Best buy whom I bought it from. Our front Burner lights poorly, if at all, Rubber bumpers on the bottom of the grates disintegrate, oven takes forever to heat, and now, the clock resets at random and no ones been able to fix it.

This fridge worked fine for about 2 years then something went haywire. It took Sears five trips to finally send a repair tech who was competent to properly diagnose the problem. The first tech diagnosed the (wrong) problem and charged me $357. That didnt fix it, so a new tech showed up and made a new diagnosis, and ordered another part. It was the wrong part, so another part had to be ordered. In the meantime, I dont have a working refrigerator so bought a 30-year-old $85 beater that does work. Luckily there was room to set it up in the dining area. Sears sent a third tech who said the initial diagnosis was wrong so ordered a new part -- but this tech then said he wouldnt plug the fridge back in because the outlet wasnt grounded. I called an electrician who charged me $75 to say yes it is grounded (which I was pretty sure was the case). Finally a tech showed up and properly diagnosed the problem, at the cost of $272. The tech said Sears would credit my credit card $85 for the difference between the right and wrong parts. Sears has not billed me for the $272 but they also have not refunded me the $85 for the overcharge. I have called them also asking to be reimbursed for these items: the $85 fridge I was forced to buy due to their technicians continued incompetence, $75 for the unneeded electrician service call, $100 that I felt obliged to offer the tenants living in the house to take off their rent because this entire process took two months to find a competent Sears service tech. I will never again buy an appliance from Sears and sure as heck wont call them to service this fridge the next time it has a problem (and Im keeping the $85 beater in the garage just in case).

My Samsung washer is just over 3 years old and a top loader. The bleach dispenser right under the lid is rusting and the rust is starting right into the metal on the machine and is getting worse. I have a extended warranty on the washer and dryer. I bought the product at Lowes. I called Lowes and they sent someone out. They ordered the top part of the machine and lid. They have been here 4 times and it isnt fixed yet because Lowes put the blame on Samsung and I called Samsung and they said that they wouldnt fix it, saying it is cosmetic. So, what is a person to do? Also I have a Samsung refrigerator and water is leaking into the vegetable bins at the bottom. I dont know where it is coming from. I am very angry that Samsung doesnt stand behind their products. I will never buy another Samsung product again and will tell all my friends of my experience.

I purchased my oven back in June 2019, it is now July 2020 and my issue has still not been resolved. The left front burner only has one level, it does not adjust to low heat causing fire and melted the stovetop. They denied the ticket to repair the glass or fix the burner claiming it was personal damage?? I have spent hours on the phone talking to the call centers it was not until today that I finally was able to speak to supervisor who is going to have a technician come out again to look at the burner that still does not work. Key points to know when working with Samsung. 1) if they come out for a ticket once and you disagree with there findings they will not speak to you. 2)Email correspondence stop after they have told you their decision. 3) they will accept no responsibility. 4) they simply do not care! This review is short.. the lack of customer service, communication, and ethics I have received from Samsung could fill a book. DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM SAMSUNG!

I bought fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher from Leons in Canada. The extended warranty has been the best money Ive ever spent - ever. Excluding the microwave, in the three years since I bought them, Ive had close to TWENTY service calls on the three appliances. There have been numerous problems. The stove was arcing 220 Volts onto the chassis of the appliance, the top spontaneously (really!) cracked. The burner switch burned out. The ice maker in the fridge has had 5 service calls, drips water on the floor every time you open the door and still ices up regularly. The dishwasher leaves debris on the dishes even though I rinse most food waste off the dishes and they claim it has a food disposal feature. I just had multiple components including the pump and fill module replaced. Dont buy any household appliances by SAMSUNG. They are poorly designed and cheaply made.

Side by Side Refrigerator RS265TDRS is approx. 3 yrs old. Problems with ice maker freezing up and not making ice since I have owned it. Ice maker replaced one time during warranty, but I continue to have the same problem. Now the refrigerator will not cool, found that the back of the fridge was frozen and the evaporator fan motor will not work. Had to defrost refrigerator with hair dryer. Just read all the reviews with the same complaints. Wish I had read the reviews before buying, but I will not make the same mistake of buying from Samsung twice. I am ready for the class action lawsuit.

My French door refrigerator started forming ice about 18 months after purchase. Warranty is only a year, which is ridiculous when you pay that much for a appliance. I checked online for anyone else experiencing the problem. Most problems were with water under the crisper drawers which I hadnt experienced. I called Samsung and the first words the service desk said were, We havent experienced that problem before, which I knew was bogus because every person that called them said they said the same thing. Anyway after over 2 years of emptying my freezer and getting the ice out, I finally bit the bullet and called a repairman. I wish Id done it right away.He took the bottom panel off the back, took out the two drain pipes for the automatic defrost, about 7each with a rubber, flat nipple on each one. He shows me the small slit across the end of the nipple that the water drains thru and explains that if that slit gets clogged the water backs up and freezes in the bottom. It also could cause water to be leaked under the drawers in the cooling part of fridge. All he did was cut about -1/8 off of the flat ends and put them back on the pipes and reinstall them. They must just slide on because he didnt have any tools but the screwdriver to remove the panel and a snipper to cut the rubber nipple. You can use scissors for that. I could have done this myself had I known what to do. Thats why Im writing this. Also he said to be sure to turn fridge off for 48 hours to make sure all the ice has defrosted. Thats a pain, but weve been removing the ice for 2 years every 3-4 weeks. If this works, its worth the 48 hours without a fridge. If this works, you wont hear from me, if not, Ill let you know. It was a $79 service call. Its a bad design and hopefully Samsung has changed it. My fridge is almost 4 years old. I love everything else about it.

I own a Samsung Refrigerator model RT33FARZASP/TL, purchased two and half years ago. The refrigerator bears 10 years warranty which is not cooling at all. I lodged a complaint with Samsung customer care, they sent their representative who said gas of the refrigerator has leaked out and I have to pay for the visiting charges and gas filling charges plus parts. When I said, its under warranty, he said warranty is only for compressor. I argued gas remains in the compressor only, and if it has leaked that means the compressor is not good but he didnt accept my argument and insisted to pay the cost of repair. Gas filling will be done by them on 30.04.2017. Earlier I had been using other brands, normally they work 10-15 years flawless.

We bought this refrigerator at Lowes Dec 2012. Sale price was $1400.00 plus tax. Our problems started about 2 years after we bought the unit. Every 2-3 months this refrigerator will start making a terrible loud noise that will stop when you open the door. After read other reviews we realized that we have to take out all of food and defrost this freezer overnight due to a build up of ice on the fan in the refrigerator side. Not only is it annoying to have to do this plus losing so much food due to this problem. I will never buy another Samsung Appliance! Im sure Im not the only consumer out there that feels this way!

We purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. The ice maker didnt work on day one, they sent someone to replace it. This should have been a clue to us, after about 18 months it quit working again. Repair guy replaced the ice maker TWICE with no luck. Finally Samsung informed him that he needed to replace the ice maker and the board at the same time in order for it to work. It lasted about 9 months and is broken again. During that time it would stop making ice for a few days (I like to say it went on vacation which I cant afford to do because I have to keep repairing my stupid ice maker!!). Anyway, now its no longer making any ice - I think it decided to retire and move to a warmer climate. Now were buying bags of ice, which is a pain in the you know what, I cant stand room temperature water. Never, never, ever buy a Samsung refrigerator.

They said they always try to fix, but never get fixed. Today is my 7th time to call them to fix the same problem. They still refused to exchange me a new one since they never be able to fix. This morning the unit was filled with water, the dishes were dirty, and the front panel light with Quick was flashing. After doing some internet research, I cleared the water from the tub and inspected the filter. No help. Next, I checked the exhaust hose for any blockage. No help. Then I found this site...... Thankfully we caught this early and there was minimal damage to my home. Samsung would not stand behind this device at all. I would recommend avoiding Samsung for ranges/ovens in the future. Like most of the respondents here, I will never consider the purchase of another Samsung product. Unfortunately in our current age, we are all well aware that companies simply dont have our best interests in mind. Samsung, however, rises to new levels of bureaucratic road blocks to service. More importantly is the fact they not only obscure what has transpired and been discussed previously, but just bold faced lie about they have or have not said.We purchased a large black side-by-side refrigerator in April of 2011. We have had more or less constant problems ever since (as mentioned elsewhere, the ice maker is a nightmare). We finally gave up on ever getting any service from Samsung. They have 2 certified repairmen in Hawaii (many repair services are qualified, but not certified, which means they cant perform warranty service). The demise of the refrigerator and our relationship with Samsung began its culmination last year when we had to pay out of pocket to replace the Motherboard, $400.00. Them 3 weeks ago the freezer stopped working. I got my previous non-certified repairman to check it out. He said the compressor had died. The good news is that its covered under warranty and most manufacturers will just refund some portion of the purchase price. After getting a hold of Samsung, I was told they would get a repair person out in 2 weeks (**). 3 days later, the refrigerator component also ceased working. I called Samsung back and demanded to be connected with the next level of service. This time I was told that they agree the wait was unacceptable and I would be refunded a portion of the purchase price. Oh, and by the way, despite the fact that I had previously been assured that the repair company (an 800 service) would have the necessary parts when they arrived, they had not in fact ordered any parts! In case youre wondering about the refund, they now contend that that option had never been discussed (**).So not only was I told that it would be 2 weeks to get a repair person out, but they would then have to order parts. I live in Hawaii, so its a foregone conclusion that the wait for those parts will be inordinate. After stewing about this for several days, I again contacted Samsung and this time I was informed that I had been informed that the repairs would not be covered by Samsung because it was out of warranty. I emphatically stated that no such thing had ever been discussed! The compressor is covered for 5 years. They eventually agreed that the compressor was still covered, then they hemmed and hawed, but in the end I was left without a working refrigerator and a many month repair process, if at all. Bottom line folks, avoid all Samsung products like the plague. I wish I had read these comments before I considered my purchase!

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator on July 30, 2014. It stopped cooling 32 days later. They have been out twice to try repairs, and it seems that each time they replace a bad part, another part requires replacement to get it cooling. The bottom line is that I have been without refrigeration for over three weeks, and Samsungs techs cant seem to replace enough parts to get the piece of junk cooling. I have zero confidence in the product and its repair technicians. I am stuck with this turkey because the Home Depot where I purchased it will not honor its in-store or corporate return policy.

There is a sensor to defrost the fridge and send the water created down a drain for evaporation. This sensor fails to work causing water to pool inside either under the crisper drawers or the cool select pantry. If the water is not noticed, it will ultimately flow from the unit onto the floor. Sometimes this sensor will also cause freezing of the fan that keeps air circulating in the refrigerator. Personally, I had this problem repaired on 4/3/12 and today, 10/29/12, I have called Samsung to report that it is happening again. Their customer service stated that the repair is not covered, is out of warranty and they will not pay to replace/repair. I decided to do a little research via the web and after typing in various forms of the following question: water leaks in bottom of fridge, water under food drawer, water leaking from fridge, etc, I have come across over 2,000 inquiries to this question just from the Samsung website. When I visited other sites, i.e. AppliancePartsPros.com and ConsumerAffairs.com, I saw another 500 plus complaints. So how do we get Samsung to admit this is a defective part and correct the problem for all of us? I slipped on my tile floor because of the water and now have my ankle in a brace. Other folks have complained about flooring becoming damaged, food loss, all sorts of problems because of this defect. I cant afford to keep calling a serviceman out for the same problem and probably lots of others feel the same. Thank you for looking into this matter.

Purchased electric range in 2018 and 2 months after the warranty expired things started going wrong. When I use a burner to cook no. 1 is way too hot and I have to remove the pan to a cold burner. When I set the timer on 5 min. after setting the oven temp. it reaches 400 degrees in 2 min. which means it does not heat properly. My husband advised me not to use the oven as it could be dangerous. When I used the oven all the cabinets on the side of the range, the top cabinets and the top of the stove were super hot. The microwave which is above the stove was just as hot. After reading the reviews I am amazed at how things go wrong after the warranty has expired. When we purchased the range we were told after 3 years if we did not call a maintenance man to the house because of a problem we would be reimbursed 1/3 of the price paid for the range. Good luck on that one. I am now fixing meals in the slow cooker or microwave. My husband called Samsung to complain and he was told the warranty expired and it would be $100.00 for a house call then we had to pay for parts. We are in our late 80s and should not have to deal with a lousy product and lousy service.

I have experienced the same complaint everyone who owns a Samsung microwave seems to have - the SE error code. I contacted Samsung and it took four chat sessions and an angry phone call to have a service person come out. I was told the control panel would be replaced, no charge on epidemic warranty; servicing agency knows nothing about it. I was told I would have to pay for the control box if it needs replacement. It seems like Samsung is well aware of this major problem, but has chosen to do nothing until your unit fails - and it will. Then they horse you around for days to get it serviced. I have lots of Samsung products with no problems, but this microwave has totally destroyed my Samsung vision. It is just an out and out piece of crap. The ventilation system sucks, which I believe is the cause of the SE code because moisture builds up in the control panel. If I have to replace, I guarantee it will not be with another Samsung.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher from Sears. I havent even finished paying for it. I called out technician and he advised its $75 for him to come, $170 if he does anything. Apparently, warranty is out before its even finished paying for. I looked at black sludge and it looks like dissolved o-rings he and said its not dissolved o-rings but bugs. Bugs? we asked. Yes, bacteria. He said we must use vinegar every two weeks and glisten every month. It smelled bad all the time and this horrendous black sludge was all over in there under the filter (11 x 3 inch bolts to remove to get under there) by the door seals. So putting it back together, one of the plastic parts cracks when the bolt goes in. Now it shuts off if there isnt enough rinsing agent and wont go. It shuts off if you dont slam the top drawer hard and break a couple glasses. This is a really expensive piece of crap. My mother is devastated as she thought this fancy thing would be the last time she bought an appliance. Its a waste of a pensioners money and Sears says talk to Samsung. Samsung says Sears is the person to contact during warranty and any other repair person who can do Samsung after that. Its not their problem. It never worked well. The quick cycle is two hours. I am sad for my mother and I have had to try to figure it out for her several times. What a garbage!
