19 days without a fridge is not acceptable. Over 13 phone calls to Samsung and being hung up on 4 different times only to have to call back to get resolution, that I have not gotten. I am now told it will be another 3-5 business days before I will be contacted to receive a replacement fridge. 24-29 days and no fridge is completely unacceptable. Someone has dropped the ball and no one wants to take ownership. They only want to say they are sorry. I asked if their CEOs fridge went out if he would have waited this long to have his/her fridge replaced. I bet the answer to this is absolutely not. They probably would have had it replaced within the week.I now am resorted to living out of a cooler with ice so my kids can have milk and cheese, and eating out because it is so wasteful to buy a meal to prep only to have the items spoil because there is no freezer to put my stuff in or a large fridge to put these daily staples in. Who wants to pay for my spoiled food? Not Samsung. Who wants to reimburse me for the need to eat out? Not Samsung. Who wants to replace my fridge in a timely manner? Not Samsung. Who wants to pay for my gas to have drive into town daily to get food? Not Samsung. Who is going to pay for all my wasted hours spent dealing with this debacle? Not Samsung! What recourse of action do I have aside of contacting BBB and filing a complaint? Help!

This has to be the worst dishwasher on the face of the earth. To begin, the workers who delivered the machine broke our woodwork on the floor and they tried to hide the damage. We used the machine twice and couldnt stand the smell and the grinding noise was deafening. Samsung came out and began berating me telling me that this problem was not covered by the warranty and I will never be able to use the warranty again. The repairman was actually yelling at me. I finally had to ask him to leave. While he did fix the machine, like others, it wasnt long before I began experiencing other problems. Hopefully, theyll come out since its still under warranty and be professional about the repair. Weve never had such terrible problems in all our years of owning a dishwasher. This machine should be recalled.

A new problem has arisen with our Samsung DMR 77 dishwasher. We resolved two old the ones frequently mentioned by others here (see below). New problem is that after two years of use, the upper spray arm drops off its mounting and when snapped back, falls off again in use. We had the same problem others reported with the dishwasher turning on at the slightest touch or seemingly even a near approach. Samsung should sell the technology for proximity switches. But the solution is simple: turn on the child lock feature immediately after the cycle begins. That is, disable when you want to run the damn thing, then enable as soon as the cycle begins so you dont forget. Problem solved with minimum hassle. We also experienced the Lego snap-off wheel problem, lower rack only, and the only solution we found is to pull the rack straight out. Cheap or stupid design, no question. We bought Samsung dishwasher, microwave, and range (and TV) when we redid our kitchen. The dishwasher has been worst by far in quality.

He issued me a ticket number and told me to contact Samsung electronics and they are aware of the issue and they will inform me on procedure of getting a reimbursement. 4 business days later and no response. 6 days since initial default of unit and no light at the end of the tunnel. Extremely disappointed with Samsung.

Refrigerator Model # RF28HMEDBSR - have had many issues with water leaking, first on the left side, and then now also water coming out on the front side. I put rags around the bottom of the fridge so my family does not slip and fall as I have slipped already walking to the kitchen in the middle of the night. The water is coming out more and more, have to replace the rags every few hours to prevent accidents. I called Samsung for help and they emailed me a pdf file instructing me how to make sure the fridge is level. There was nothing wrong with it being level and its still leaking worse than ever. Called Samsung back and they said they can refer me to a company that can repair my fridge. Samsung only warranties the fridge for one year, after that I have to pay for labor and parts to repair this issue. I researched online and found that this is a common issue with other Samsung Refrigerators. Here is the link for the class action lawsuit filed against Samsung for selling their defective product. **. Repair company charges $100 for diagnostic. Then we wait for them to order the parts (Temp sensor, Assembly Cover Evap and Leakage Kit) which costs over $125 plus more labor charges for them to install it. And we are not sure this will even resolve the problem. Stay away from Samsung appliances. I also have a Samsung stove that all the knobs have broken off. Samsung will charge you over $50 per knob to replace them. Pieces of junk, faulty appliances, Samsung should not sell their defective products to consumers.

3 yr old Samsung French fridge started frosting over inside walls, melting then flooding floor, spoiling milk, veggies and frozen items, molding foods. Ice maker doesnt work, loud motor and barking sound (both intermittent). Called Samsung, gave me name and phone for certified technician - 7/1/14. First appt for a tech - 7/14. Tech needed to order part. Two-3 wks later tech returned...wrong part. Had to order different part. Tomorrow is 9/1/14. All summer with broken, erratic fridge, multiple calls to Master Tech and Samsung customer service, lots of I understand how you feel and Im sorry for your problem and no call backs...but lots of frustration and rotten foods. We have purchased a four door Samsung refrigerator which in less than a year of usage the refrigerator section no longer was cooling. Called Samsung Customer Service and after spending 45 min on the phone I was transferred to the Executive Customer Relations only to answer a myriad of questions that were already answered during the first call and supposedly documented in the service ticket. The Executive Customer Relations could not provide much assistance except for providing the names of two Samsung approved service centers; however, conveniently forgot to provide a service to be provided to the service center. Therefore, when I placed the call to the Service center I was informed that without that number they cannot assist.Called Samsung again, only to go through the same process described above and waste another good hour on the phone to obtain the service ticket number. Called the Service Center and 48 hours later, a technician showed up; however, due to the size and location of the refrigerator he could not assess what needed to be done. He placed a call to the Service Center to re-scheduled the repair and at the end he informed me that he is going to be on site on the following week on Wednesday at 8 AM along with his supervisor **.Wednesday came and at 8:30 AM I called ** to see what time hell be on site only to be informed that hell be in at 10AM. At 10:30 I called their center and was informed that they will not be in till 11AM. They showed up at 11:30AM. The unit was checked by an experienced technician, not Samsung, and later on he provided me with the technical bulletin from Samsung showing that this unit has two independent compressors and it is Not-serviceable; however, the Samsung service technician said that they can fix it. After they checked the refrigerator, both technicians agreed that the unit cannot be fixed.

I bought a French door refrigerator in Nov of 2013. In October of 2014 I notice a large amount of water accumulating under the vegetable drawers. I sopped it and didnt think too much about it. After 3 more months, not only was it under the drawers but in them. I called Samsung and they told me after a year, it had to be under an extended warranty. I have a home warranty which I called in April, was told the fan burned out. It took 9 weeks for the part to come in and another 3.5 to get the repairman back out. It is fixed BUT I was told the water problem will come back as Samsung has a running problem with this happening. I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance and Im telling anyone that will listen what JUNK they are selling to us.

When repair guy came out I asked him why does Samsung have so many bad reviews? He said the side by side are notorious of having problems. Bought a Samsung Washer. Nothing but problems with it. Microwave model ME18H704SFS and Samsung Dishwasher purchased Dec 2015 and installed March 2016. Began use then. Dishwasher was a lemon immediately with an electronic board error E11. Samsung warranty sucks! Getting thru for help and not will to replace unit just to fix which wasnt possible. Terrible customer service. Dishwasher never worked from day 1. Microwave also lasted less than a year after installed. Feb 2016 went to use popcorn sensor feature and lo and behold received that E11 error! Not sure if we had ever used that feature before since it was at a cabin. That is used mostly in summer. However, tried all other sensor features and they all give same error now! Microwave still runs on regular time but I purchased this model specifically because I like the sensor feature. Called the number and was told they would fix same as the dishwasher thing. The repair company called and was scheduling to come fix as this is also a built-in unit and the charge was going to be 200 to come plus additional beyond that. I learned to ask because of dishwasher incident. They said no warranty coverage after Samsung told me yes. I decided to not waste any more time on this because I could buy a different microwave cheaper than wasting my time and energy trying to get it covered which is what Samsung hopes you do! Dont BUY Samsung appliance! I am waiting for my oven and fridge to have problems since I bought a suite of them for a new kitchen. I had originally liked a range and that is why I went with Samsung. Never had problems with that so when we remodeled a cabin I went with a Samsung suite of products purchased at Lowe’s. Got a great buy! I did not purchase the Lowes warranty. Next time I did because of all the issues with these appliances! Samsung warranty forget it!! Buy the store warranty. 1/2 of my Samsung appliances are garbage that I replaced with American made Maytag Dishwasher and Whirlpool microwave. Lowe’s made the dishwasher purchase right and took it back even though I did not buy their warranty - they were awesome! Thank you Lowe’s. I purchased a new suite of appliance this year Feb 2016 for my remodel of townhouse and will see if those appliances last longer than a week or year. Learned my lesson, I took back another Samsung microwave same model that had been purchased because the first one is crap and traded it also for Whirlpool. So now I have Whirlpool appliances from Lowe’s and I will report if I have any issues on them! I spent the extra for the warranty 3-year but I think it will be well worth it. I have little faith that appliances are made to last anymore! Good luck if you purchase Samsung! I will never buy Samsung again - not anything with that brand name on it.

We purchased a Samsung kitchen bundle (microwave, refrigerator, oven and dishwasher) from Home Depot. A week after installation the microwave caught fire and created a burned hole on the inside of the microwave. Contacted Samsung and have been spinning for 2 weeks now as they will not replace this unit, only repair it. At this point we paid for a BRAND NEW unit, 2 weeks ago, and we have zero confidence in the reliability and safety of this unit being repaired. Samsung has been very unresponsive to our request. Purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in May of 2009. I did not purchase the extended warranty. In 2010 the motor and the entire back of the frig froze up causing the frig to stop working. The repairmen replaced the motor and charged $500. Then in 2012 it did the same thing. They came out, repaired it and said it was because the door was not closed properly. Repaired it again for $289. Last week it happened again. The repairman came out and said there were 3 errors. Replaced the board and overnight the board fried and the frig stopped working again. Another $300. We paid $1756.26 when we purchased it and have spent over $1000 for repairs putting a non working frig in the almost $3000 range. I will Never purchase another Samsung refrigerator again as it appears there are thousands of people who have the same problem and never gets rectified. I will be reporting this to Consumer reports. Letting them know that Samsung does not hold up to keeping their customers happy. I will be receiving a copy of my receipt from Lowes in approximately 1 Month to add to the verified buyer format. Also, the placement of the ice maker is a poor choice.

We bought this refrigerator from LOWES in 2016 for just under $2600; we didnt know the icemaker had a problem until after the warranty expired because we didnt live in that house but for a few months of the year just before we retired. It froze up and the plastic bin cracked when we removed it from the freezer. The repairman replaced just about everything that could be replaced in the icemaker and we were charged $1170!!! Within 2 months of that expense, the thing froze up again. The repairman just left, didnt charge since we were within the 90-day period of the first repair. But he said Samsung told him they would not replace our refrigerator, they might give us a break on the price of another... What a load of rotten tomatoes!!! There should be a recall, and I should get my money back for having bought their defective product and for the expense of the repairs. The angst and inconvenience should be financially compensated for, too, but I am not holding my breath.

We purchased a Samsung French-door refrigerator two years ago. After the first year, water started accumulating beneath the lower drawer and freezing, making the drawer increasingly hard to slide in/out. I have emailed Samsungs customer service department twice with specific details of the issue (model#, serial#). I have gotten zero reply except for spam marketing messages, since they now have my email address. We finally called their local authorized service (Asian-owned) and described the problem, and they immediately knew the fix -- a defective water valve on rear of refrigerator. They offered to repair it but the cost would be over $200. If this is a part that fails regularly, Samsung should issue a recall instead of sending us advertisements to buy more of their inferior-quality appliances.

I had purchased a Samsung Fridge double door of 325 ltr capacity during Jan 2011. The Fridge was not giving good response right from the date of purchase i.e. watering, freezer not working, frequent sensor and motherboard problems. I had complained to Samsung that you have delivered a faulty fridge, so replace a good Samsung Fridge or repay the amount. They did not lisen any one of my offer to satisfy the customer. They CHEATED ME and assured that we will rectify the issue and deliver you perfectly. They took the unit to service center and got repaired. Till date I am facing one or the other problem in every 4 months time and I require to pay for each service and even I have to pay to the technician for just inspecting the fridge where the reply from the technician was that the proper thermacol is not available for the top door fridges and they themselves say that all top door fridges will have the same problem and hence they same problem will continue even after repair. I had a single door 190 ltr Whirlpool fridge without problem for ten years except to defrosting.A fridge is an immovable item in a house and an amount hard earned money Rs.25000 is invested on a fridge of a reputed company and if it is giving frequent problems one or other and spending nearly one-fourth of cost of fridge for the past 6 yrs is really painful and it is great loss to the customer and giving mental agony hence I have been forced purchased an another fridge from Whirlpool for for Rs.22000/- which is an unwanted additional expenditure created by Samsung company. I came to a conclusion after 6 years since I lost faith on SAMSUNG company instead of keep on spending money for repairing the worst Samsung fridge, I have been forced to purchase my old brand from Whirlpool company. Further the service center at Guindy is also one of the worst service provider and the technicians are not properly qualified, since they are not experienced and charging for the same problems from the customer and the service center is disobedient to Samsung company. Even Samsung company says not to charge for the same problem the service center either do not listen to them or leave the job half baked or not responding further even after repeated phone calls. Hence, in view of the above I advise the public NOT TO PURCHASE SAMSUNG FRIDGE AT ANY COST since all module of SAMSUNG FRIDGE are VERY WORST FRIDGE.

On November 6, 2011 I purchased a Samsung RFG 238AARS refrigerator and an extended warranty. July 2013 it needed a defrost heater and temperature sensor (Evaporation Assembly) due to freezing below the drawer in the freezer. In December 2014 there was a clogged drain and a fan problem causing more freezing in the freezer and refrigerator. In March 20-17 there again was ice build up and the repairman said it was a common problem with Samsung due to duck bills being clogged. Currently the food freezes in the refrigerator and the freezer has problems with the ice maker. Yet, Samsung will not agree to a replacement. The freezer cost 2500.00 and makes noises and freezes below the drawers in the refrigerator and freezer. ITS A LEMON! I owned an Amana for 20 years without one repair to it. The crisper drawers in a $2000.00 Samsung refrigerator are two pieces assembled at factory. There is an overlap of plastic in which food and water gets trap and there is no way to remove the front of the drawer to clean out rotting food and sitting liquids. Customer support confirms this when I called. There is no way to seperate them, there is no way to clean it. No solution. Rotting food and stale liquid must remain trapped. They do not offer any solution or different parts to resolute the problem.

3 of 4 Samsung appliances have now died in 5 yrs. Today SMH9187 microwave door latch broke after giving Error 13 the other day. Reading other reviews Im now afraid it will turn on by itself and burn my house down! Worse, Samsung dishwasher broke in 18 months and not only leaked on my hardwood floors but got so hot I needed a potholder to turn off after 5 hrs and it wouldnt stop. Lowes at least stepped in, said these were so bad I got a new Bosch Ive loved now for 3 yrs. Samsung counter depth refrigerator also had icemaker die in under 2 yrs. Lowes replaced it due to extended warranty but now 3 yrs later I tried again with warranty expired. Also had 2 Samsung LCD TVs die in 2 yrs, with both a Blu-ray player and separate DVD go belly up in that time too. Stupid name for ever buying anything from them after 2nd item. Needless to say I will NEVER EVER AGAIN BUY ANYTHING FROM SAMSUNG! Unbelievably bad quality and worse, truly dangerous!! Stay away, hope they go out of business soon.

What happened to those stove and ovens we had for 8-10 years before they showed any distress?!! The numbers and info on the stove wiped off years ago, and now we GUESS what burner we are using and at what temp. Worst brand ever! Worst stove set we ever bought! RE: Samsung refrigerator, Model # RF26J7500. We had the ice maker repaired
RE: Samsung refrigerator, Model # RF26J7500. We had the ice maker repaired as it was leaking and the ice was slushy. Ice would build up in the maker and had to be chopped out. The ice maker drawer sticks/freezes and is difficult to pull out. It is cracked. Items in the back of the refrigerator were also freezing. The repairman also fixed the wheels on the pull out drawer because they kept falling off. The drawer has never worked correctly. The cover is cracked, it sicks and rubs against the plastic on the sides. This is causing white shavings and dust particles. This is a huge concern as it is a SAFETY HAZARD. The dust and shavings are getting on items in our refrigerator. Ingestion of this plastic is obviously toxic. In addition, we have two cracked door bins. I called Samsung today. After being told the drawer and bins are not covered, I asked for a supervisor. The associate came back on the phone and stated the supervisor also said it is not covered. I asked again to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold again. The associate came back on and stated they would replace the broken items. I requested my concerns be documented well, and reiterated my disbelief that Samsung has not recalled this refrigerator. Both the store I purchased the refrigerator from and the repair technician stated that Samsung refrigerators are notorious for these issues and they receive continual complaints from Samsung customers.

We purchased our range/oven in October 2018. Not even 3 months later had to have it repaired: the entire control unit was replaced as the controls locked up with food burning in the oven, with oven door locked. Now the oven turns on at random times, and also locking the oven door, and freezing the control unit again. So called Samsung again, and explained that this range/oven is dangerous, as it could burn down the house with my family in it. Their response? Cant exchange it because we have to wait for the second round of repairs. Last time it took at least 3 weeks for the spare parts to arrive, so when asked the Specialty Claim Rep at Samsung, her answer was that if I am afraid of the unit, I should unplug it until fixed. My question is, why would I want a unit replaced when this is systematic issue, and not a unit-specific problem? When asked if Samsung will take full liability for possibly causing property damage or bodily harm, their answer was I can not talk to a supervisor as my case has been already escalated. Which agency is responsible of forcing a manufacturer to recall a dangerous product? And why they are not acting after all those reviews on this site? Indeed, I failed to read these comments, otherwise I would avoided this product line and Samsung altogether... Now I am stuck with a product for a very long time...

Changed out my perfectly working 20yr old dishwasher for New Samsung Stormwash w/ auto-release dry. Big mistake! Purchased from Home Depot. Delivery was a joke as they cancelled a promised Saturday delivery. I had to drive a town away to pick it up myself after waiting a week and then they cancelled appt. Next, 5 months later dishwasher leaked all over my kitchen floor and it hadnt been turned on yet. Customer no service overseas a joke. Said I should have bought a warranty. Told them I didnt have a crystal ball and if Id known it was a cruddy product I wouldnt have purchased it in the first place. Had to pull all my dishes and wash by hand. Waiting to hear from them to fix it. Dont want it but refused to take it back. Damage to floor.

We purchased a French Door Samsung Refrigerator - model number RF4287HARS/XAA 2.5 years ago. We paid nearly $3000 for it at Best Buy. A little over two weeks ago the ice maker went out and soon to follow was the freezer and fridge. We called Samsung and after three phone calls of escalation they finally agreed to cover the diagnostic as an accommodation since we did not purchase the extended warranty. The repair guy has been here twice and has finally deemed it as non repairable. Each visit was over two hours and most of the time was spent with him on the phone with Samsung tech support. They replaced the CFAN and the main PCB but it still will not work. The repair company has sent 11 pictures to Samsung showing the error codes still coming up despite the repairs. Samsung is giving us the run around saying that they want the repair company to come back out. Not only are we out a very expensive appliance, $100s of food plus having to eat out mostly, we have lost countless hours on the phone back and forth as well as waiting on the repair guy. At what point does a company stand behind their product and actually take care of their customers? Samsung should be ashamed.

I bought the Samsung slide in range because of its sleek look. However, the knobs and buttons on the front are extremely sensitive and the oven and range turned on accidentally all the time. One night while sleeping, the smoke detector went off. A towel lying on the range had caught fire and flames were everywhere. Trying to get the towel into the sink so my house didnt burn, I knocked a bottle off the counter that shattered the glass on the oven door. A technician for Samsung came to assess damage. He suggested I contact Samsung customer service. After multiple calls, I contacted them through their chat line. I was assured the situation would be taken care of, the existing ticket was escalated, and I was to be sent transcript of call. No transcript, nothing taken care of because product was not defective. The design certainly is defective and this product is not safe. Samsung is irresponsible. I had this stove 3 weeks.

We bought this Samsung RF2HTED counter-depth refrigerator about 2 years ago
We bought this Samsung RF2HTED counter-depth refrigerator about 2 years ago from Lowes and initially were very satisfied with the features. Within a few weeks, however, the icemaker stopped dispensing ice. Tried all the troubleshooting steps in the manual, still no ice. I then removed the front of the icemaker (no small feat, see comments further on). The side of the icemaker was completely packed up with a large glob of ice. I defrosted this with a hairdryer and the icemaker again worked. Two weeks later, same problem, and get out the hairdryer. Every two weeks the icemaker packs up and has to be defrosted. We were in Lowes for a different matter but stopped by the appliance department and engaged the person who sold us the refrigerator on the issue with our Samsung. He said this was a common complaint with Samsungs in general and that Samsung had been working on a solution for a while. Seems the icemaking unit is poorly insulated from the refrigerator section in which its located, so humidity seeps in and causes the icemaker to freeze up. To date, according to the salesman, Samsung has yet to come up with a solution (another issue - if Lowes knew this to be the case, why did they not advise potential purchasers of this problem?). In addition to the freezing up issue, the front of the icemaker unit is almost impossible to remove, even using the removal method stated in the manual. The icemaker issue makes this refrigerator next to worthless, and since to my knowledge Samsung has yet to correct the problem, its a question of poor engineering foisted on an unsuspecting public. This refrigerator is a poorly designed piece of junk and so best avoided. Based on my experience with this product, I would never even consider buying another Samsung refrigerator.

The Samsung French Door Refrigerator has been a great refrigerator with the exception of the icemaker. The icemaker freezes over so it wont make ice. You have to thaw it out with a hairdryer for it to work again. Then in a few days it does it again. When it freezes up and you try to dispense ice, water leaks out of the dispenser. We cant find a repair person who will work on it. Contacting the Samsung, we are basically told that it is a known probably; but they cant do anything about it. Trying to find a solution with our neighbors. They are also having the same trouble with their Samsung refrigerators. We have had the worst experience ever with our Samsung fridge. I was so excited to get it. It was really nice and had lots of room. But from the start it never made much ice. The ice maker kept going out and they sent repairmen out a few times to fix it. We eventually got a new fridge and had the exact same problem. We got this one “repaired” 5 times before they finally admitted it was unfixable and agreed to a refund. The refund process has been a nightmare and we have been dealing with it for 7 weeks now. We have been told different info from different agents. We have been put on hold to be transferred to supervisors and then hung up on. We have been told we would get emails with no contact. It’s been a joke. We were told 2 days ago that the refund was approved and we just need to wait for an email. I called back yesterday and got hung up on 3 different times. I called back today and was told it’s not approved yet and was given MORE excuses as to why. I don’t recommend anyone to EVER buy a Samsung appliance! If you ever have to deal with their customer service or refund department, you will go insane and it’s not worth it. Just don’t waste your money in the first place! I know I never will again.

I bought a brand new Samsung refrigerator from Sears. We noticed these loud clanking, whirring and groaning noises from the first day it was delivered. At first we thought maybe it was just making these terrible noises due to cooling down and it would stop eventually. It never did. I called Sears a couple days past the 30 days since we received it and they told me that I had to call Samsung and that it would be covered under my warranty. So, I called Samsung, who scheduled a service appointment with me. These two guys who barely spoke English advised me that the noise was caused by my ice maker, so they turned the ice maker off and left, saying the noise should be resolved now. Well...I SHOULD be able to use my ice maker....right??? Brand new fridge and the SOLUTION is not to USE my ice maker??? HUH???So, fast forward to the next scheduled visit by the Samsung repair guys. Same guys. They tell me that the ice maker is BACK ON. I advised that I didnt even know where it was to turn it on. They said they turned it off, and left. Assuring me that the noises are perfectly normal. Just dont use my Ice maker. WHATEVER. Brand new Fridge! I cant use my ice maker? Thats the solution?!Next Samsung visit. I asked for a different technician. They send out a new guy, who tells me that the issue is a bar like thing from the freezer. He says he will schedule the repair and parts. Admits that the noises are NOT normal. Next scheduled visit, the same two original guys show up again and they have a fan, and some other parts THAT are OBVIOUSLY NOT what was shown to me and needed replacement. So, I ask them to CALL the last technician and find out what they were to replace. SOOOO... they leave and say that a different technician needs to replace the part.Next scheduled visit, the manager shows up and says that he hears the sounds and its the MOTOR and the COMPRESSOR. The MAIN working operational parts for a fridge!!! So, they schedule another visit with THOSE parts. Next visit, they replace the motor and the compressor in my now 2 month old refrigerator. AND ITS STILL MAKING THE NOISES!I asked for a replacement, since now I have essentially a REFURBISHED BRAND NEW REFRIGERATOR... and SAMSUNG customer service tells me... get this...The sounds coming from my refrigerator are NORMAL! I can hear the thing making groaning noises like its dying from the opposite end of the house, at approximately 1,000 ft away! SAMSUNG and their outsourced technicians are a racket/scam and they are making a fortune by ignoring their responsibilities to honor the warranty. They wont fix the issue, and they also wont replace. Now, I will be faced with hiring an attorney... simply because of the principle of the matter. Im tired of consumers being taken advantage of. I have a shiny refurbished piece of crap in my kitchen. Likewise, I have a 20 year old perfectly running, quiet refrigerator in my garage that I paid a fraction for and have NEVER had a single issue with it. Lesson learned here folks, is NEVER, EVER, EVER buy a Samsung refrigerator. EVER.

I bought a Samsung dishwasher Model# DW80F600UTS/AA about 6 months ago. Its no good and did not work out of the box. I was getting an error code that it would not drain on start-up. I had to call for service, explained the problem and a tech was scheduled to come and repair it in a week. Tech came, replace faulty part and it finally ran for the first time. Sure it ran but it has never cleaned the dishes very well and it always leaves a powdery residue on everything. The insides of the dishwasher has a build up of powdery residue in certain areas as well, especially on the bottom. Also I have noticed that it smells when I open the door even with no new dirty dishes in it. You would think that from a place where you pull clean dishes from that it wouldnt have a musty odor coming from it. It just makes me sick to know I have a new expensive dishwasher and I wind up cleaning more dishes by hand than I put in my dishwasher. I also bought Samsung microwave oven and stove but have not had a problem yet except that the clocks have to be reset every 30 months because one run fast and the other runs slow. From what I have been reading I am bracing myself for the other appliances to give me problems. I have not bought the fridge yet and I guarantee it wont be a Samsung! Best of luck to all of those who do not heed the warnings of myself and the others who have posted here.

I purchased a Stainless Steel counter depth French door refrigerator w/ drawer freezer at a premium price through Lowes. Within 7 months, the ice maker stopped working and a noise like a motor straining to work started. That issue was taken care of with a service call. Then it happened again. This time, I called Samsung and the girl I spoke to wanted me to remove the ice maker unit. The owners manual said not to do that so I had another service call. This time, a new ice maker was ordered and installed. Immediately after this call, a single click could be heard maybe once an hour. Then a noise like a compressor turning on started and lasts from 5 to 12 seconds sometimes 4 or more times a day.Now the noise like a motor straining is starting again. The ice maker stopped working, and now the ice maker started working again. This refrigerator makes more noise than my dishwasher! So, I am going to have to call for service again. We are totally dissatisfied with Samsungs French door refrigerator (RF26VABWF) and totally frustrated with dealing with their appointed service representative - Lakes Electronics. We purchased a French door refrigerator December 2008. By March 2012, the refrigerator stopped cooling. Between Lowes service company and then Samsungs factory service unit (Lakes Electronics) it took three trips and $570 dollars to get serviceable.Three years later, the refrigerator started leaking water from the unit that was replaced in 2012. We called Lakes Electronics directly for service, who responded appropriately the next day. The repair person defrosted the leaking unit, charged the standard fee, and gave us his directed contact number. Within a few days the refrigerator started leaking water again, we waited a few days in hopes that it would corrected itself and called for another service trip. On the second trip, the service rep took the unit apart, supposedly unfroze the drain line and told us that he would check with Samsung to try to diagnose the problem. He said that he should have an answer in a day and a half.Needless to say, the leak resumed within two days. The rep failed call with the status of the claim. We called him twice after a week, but he failed to answer and failed to return the call. We infer that he had no idea what was wrong. We dont know if he neglected to contact Samsung or Samsung didnt know how to fix the problem. Now we contacted Lakes again. We get the answer that they will send the same representative out and that they will charges us again. In effect, they promised fix our flat tire by filling it with air but not find the nail that causes the flat. When we question whether they guarantee that the problem is fixed, we get a run-around. When we ask to discuss the issue with supervisory staff, we are put on permanent hold.In addition to the above tale of woe, the ice maker stopped working a couple years ago. Plus the cold water runs so slowly, it is totally worthless. These problems were true with a brand new filter. The filters cost $40 every six months. With the rest of our frustrations with our purchase of the refrigerator we havent even considered bringing service in for ice and water line problems. For sure, we will never buy another Samsung appliance.

I never write reviews but I came on this site to see if I was the only one who had a problem with this stove. ALAS, I was NOT. We had the same problem with the temperature controls as many other reviewers did. Luckily my husband was able to change a part and fixed the issue. After several ruined meals since I couldnt figure out what was wrong initially. However, my glass top has broken twice in the last year. I had an old GE range prior to this and it lasted forever! It was easily 15-20 years old. I bought this Samsung smooth glass top range when we remodeled our KItchen. (MAybe 3-4 years ago) Loved it! Im not hard at all on appliances. I turned my teapot on to boil water for tea the first time and I heard a loud crack. TUrned around and the entire top had shattered. We had the glass top replaced, which was a costly repair but we liked the stove. The other morning, I had a small skillet on the stovetop making eggs, I turned around and heard another loud CRACK! This time it cracked underneath the skillet and into about four large pieces. SO, I am guessing from what I see here, no reason to call Samsung. We can replace the glass top again but honestly, the money we spent to fix these issues were as much, if not more than, the stove itself. I would recommend another brand glass top stove/oven if youre looking for one.

Our Samsung RF220N refrigerator was delivered by Best Buy in May 2014. It failed in August 2018. It is now February 2019, and we are into month 6 of the warranty process, without satisfaction. Samsung Authorized repair people determined that the sealed refrigeration system had failed. This was 4 years and 4 months into the 5-year warranty for the closed system. The authorized repair people tried 4 times to repair the system with OEM parts. Each time it has failed within 36 hours. One set of OEM parts from Samsung arrived already broken inside the shipping box. The authorized service company has declared the refrigerator not-repairable using Samsungs own process, yet Samsung will not authorize a replacement or reimbursement, as provided by their own warranty.Samsung Customer Service prevaricates, obfuscates, misdirects, and does not return promised calls/texts/emails. They regularly deny my fridge is under warranty, despite my repeated submission of documentation. I have never spoken to the same person twice, and I suspect they use pseudonyms so contact info can be lost. They deny receiving my emails, and texts, and routinely claim that the last Customer Service person I talked to did not make any notes in the file. They have changed my claim ticket number 8 times. By the bye, the current number is in the 5 billion, 120 millions. That is over 16 claim numbers for every person in the US. At 8 numbers Ive fallen behind the national average. I suspect Samsung is delaying my claim until the warranty period has expired, and then they will deny all responsibility whatsoever. Our extended family has had several other Samsung devices fail: clothes washer, clothes dryer & DVD player. Need I mention the flammable self-combusting cell phones? Fortunately we never had the ice maker in this fridge connected to our plumbing, or we would likely have been in the claims process after only 1 year. Maybe we were unfortunate in that we might have ditched this faulty device long ago. I sincerely believe that a $1500 refrigerator should last longer than my electric toothbrush. We will never buy another Samsung product (yes, we are slow learners). Nevertheless, Never Again.

If it were possible to give zero stars I would do so. We paid nearly $2000 for this refrigerator less than 4 years ago. We got only 1 year of trouble-free use out of it. Right after the 1-year warranty expired the ice-maker started completely freezing over, making it unusable unless we manually defrosted it. Even though the unit was out of warranty Samsung agreed to repair it for free. Repairman came out, made the repair but said we WOULD have trouble with the unit again. Indeed, and sadly, his prediction was highly accurate as a year later we started having the exact same problem. Now Samsung wants to charge us $525 to fix it AND they only offer a 90-day warranty. Samsung, they make cellphones that catch on fire and refrigerators that only work properly for a year. AVOID this companys products at all costs. They are not to be relied on. The government should do something about them but Im not holding my breath waiting for that to happen.

I have ordered and installed two brand new ice makers and both of them. I immediately turned the ice cube tray (unfilled) until it twisted and then never returned to the fill position. I contacted Justanswers.com and they told me this is a very common problem and that I should keep returning it until I get one that works. Is this the state of how products are made these days? Inferior quality and inferior service. This consumer will never buy another product with the Samsung name on it and will warn everyone I know of the inferior quality and service on these products.

2500.00 wasted. Samsung would not repair/replace our 3 year old refrigerator that had compressor failure due to what they call physical damage. Micro holes in the copper lines to the compressor caused the compressor to fail. Samsung claims the sulfur in the air of our house caused the failure. The warranty is 5 years parts and labor, 10 years parts. They charged us 100.00 to diagnose the problem. We talked them down from 200.00 because we already had a repair man confirm the compressor failed. He stated that the copper lines are really thin and cheap. Samsung had to have their own people check it. We do have well water but it is treated and we never hooked up the water to the refrigerator. Samsungs recommendation to us was to coat the lines with a good paint to protect them. We did not have any issues with the Whirlpool refrigerator we had prior to this Samsung. Has anyone else had a similar problem? We think the warranty should have mentioned an exclusion for sulfur in the air and we think they should honor the warranty. We will not purchase Samsung products ever again, poor customer service.

I bought this dishwasher from LOWES along with a matching Stove, Refrigerator and Microwave because I had all white appliance and the Refrigerator went bad after ten years so, I decided I wanted all my appliances to match and stainless steel seemed to be the trend. I bought Samsung because I ran a Circuit City and all our Samsung TVs were the best. 6 months after I purchased the Samsung appliances my wife started to complain about the dishwasher saying the dishes were not getting clean and then she complained that the detergent dispenser didnt open and then it was not finishing the washing cycle. We then called LOWES and told them the problem and they said make sure its a real problem because if they call out a repair person and there is nothing wrong they would charge us.So, I decided to look online to see if I could trouble shoot the problem. I found hundreds of people with the same problem as me. One of them claimed to have a fix. Take apart the Drain cover and clean the white sensor and then put it back together. I did exactly that, and it fixed the problem... for about two months. Then I had to take it apart again and clean the sensor, solving the problem for another 2 months. This has gone on every two months for about a year now and I am beyond disgust with Samsung. So I went back to the internet to see if there might be a more permanent fix to my problem only to find hundreds more people and complaints on the same dishwasher with the same problem. Still no permanent fix to be found just lots of frustrated people like me venting about their disappointment. I cant afford to buy all new appliances only 1 1/2 years later so I will be stuck taking my dishwasher apart every two months for several years to come. However, at the very least I can complain and just maybe it will keep someone else from making the same purchase mistake.

I bought over the range microwave in September 2008 for about $300.00. Immediately, the latch was broken and needed fixing, that was covered. Now its running normally, making a slightly different noise when on but not heating anymore. I called Samsung, was referred to a repair company, but they never came for the appointment and have made no attempt to re-schedule.I have called them several times and no calls back. I called Samsung again for a new repair company, am waiting for them to call now. I can not tell if the part is under warranty (Magnatron) or not since no repair person has come yet. I try to find out if replacing it would be better. My first microwave lasted 20 years, this, less than 2.5 years. Samsung makes junk and does not stand behind their junk. I will not buy Samsung again in any type of appliance. Overall their reputation in the last few years is taking a noise dive and rightfully so.

I have been trying to get a refrigerator repaired for 2 weeks. The serviceman who initially came to look at it said Samsung is having a lot of problems with it, but is not doing anything about it. I have spoken to customer service at least 20 times. I have spent many hours on hold, and been disconnected at least 4 times. I have also been told they cannot connect me to a manager, because there were none available. They have finally agreed to pay for the repair, but are unable to find the part to fix a 4 year old fridge in less than 4 weeks. I have been told many times my case will be escalated to the next level, but it never is. I have also been told is it approved for a replacement, but no one can ever seem to figure out how to get that commitment into the computer, so nothing ever happens. The customer service people are only able to type the problem into their computer, never to do anything to fix it. If I hear I understand one more time, Im going to kill someone. It is by far the most incompetent, useless customer service department I have ever dealt with. Couple that with an appliance that is of very poor quality, please avoid it at all costs.

Bought a Samsung Refrigerator in Feb 2015. In May of 2016 the Fridge part stopped cooling and I lost everything in the top. Called Repair as the Fridge is not under warranty. The service man made 5 trips out and 2 parts and now it is Sept 7 2016 and it is making a noise so long had to unplug it. It was frozen up again in the fridge part and was not cooling up to 62 degrees even though there is ice frozen to coils. Service could not even get panel off until it thawed for 24 hours or more. I still do not have a refrigerator working. The freezer still works fine like others have said. I am getting the run around and given a ticket number and no service guy will come out (they said they can not get answers from tech support) and there is no wiring diagram as other appliances have. Do your research. Do not buy Samsung!

Absolutely the biggest piece of junk Ive ever owned and I made the mistake
Absolutely the biggest piece of junk Ive ever owned and I made the mistake of buying a refrigerator from them twice. First refrigerator had issues with the ice maker the first year. Got that resolved.... maybe? We moved out of that house so who knows what the new owners had to deal with after we left. Bought another Samsung for the new house. Biggest mistake ever. Again, ice maker down in the first year. Had their awful Service Quick service out twice to get that fixed. Then the entire refrigerator dies a year later. Condenser just gives out. Its still under warranty so they try to fix it and fail miserably. Tech burns a whole in my floor while using a blow torch. That nonsense of trying to fix it went on for two weeks. Now they are supposed to fix the floor and bring out a new refrigerator. We are six weeks into this mess and still no refrigerator. Ive been lied to repeatedly about the process and how long it will take. Theyve put information in wrong, further delaying the process. Its completely ridiculous and they never do anything to expedite the service and make it right. Pandemic has been used an excuse multiple times which is total BS since they are essential and never closed and neither has the trucking company. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE.

FTQ307NWGX/XAC Kitchen Range - The range power board blew up with such force that the fuse totally disintegrated and it scored the top of the range. (see pictures) Their tech said that the range was unrepairable given that metal fragments went throughout the range and that it should not be plugged back in. After 4 weeks of delays and games here is a quote from them: Please be advised that the OOP (Office Of President), our exchange team is now outsourcing a replacement of an equivalent model. Sorry for any inconvenience in regards to the issue, but we are trying to expedite the solution. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.Since this email, they have backtracked and withdrawn their offer and decided instead to offer me a $475 refund as a courtesy. I keep trying to remind them that their range BLEW UP and their tech said with us unsafe and should not be plugged in. Before I knew what Had happened and while I was still using the right side of the stove, the stove burned a pot while it read H on the range. The element was off and look at the pictures for what it did. Little wonder that my wife is afraid of the range. I am angry that being elevated to the office of the president has done nothing but add in additional delays and inaction. I am 4 weeks and counting. I have lodged a BBB complaint and I will pursue this elsewhere. How can a company tell you it will replace your range and then go back on its own word?

BUYER BEWARE! Heres what Im dealing with right now: We purchased an entire kitchen set from Samsung.com in December as a black Friday special. In March, the dishwasher stopped working. We contacted Samsung via their website and set up a ticket. The day of the appt, the technician didnt show, we contacted them and were told that Samsung cancelled their contract that day due to Covid. No one bothered to call us to let us know. They said we would have to wait until the lockdown had passed. We did. For 3 months. As the state has now reopened, we contacted them to see when we could get the repair. They advised us they no longer had a repair service in the area. We then asked for a replacement, they never actually responded to that despite our insistence of a repair or replace, instead they offered to refund us the amount we paid for the dishwasher. Because of the discount we received for purchasing this is as a set, the amount they are willing to refund is only half the cost of a replacement dishwasher. This would force us to have to pay out an additional $400 after going 3 months without a working product, this is unacceptable. For the first 3 months I was cordial and patient, but this past week has brought out a whole different side. I am beyond frustrated with their customer service, and I do not think it is right that I would have to pay them any more money to get what should have been included in my initial kitchen package. We got their Tuscan Stainless Steel set and it is an exclusive color only to Samsung, we would have no choice but to give them more money or risk losing home resell value for having a mismatched set.

We bought a french door refrigerator (RF323TEDBSR/AA) in August 2015; In May 2016 the fan started to make a funny noise. In June the fridge stops cooling. Freezer works fine. We called Samsung, no complaints about the customer service, however the communication between Samsung and services provider is really bad. The first one said our manufacturer warranty was expired in March 2015, but we bought the fridge in August. Second service guy came over; very pleasant guy; changed the defrost panel. It has been exactly a month that they changed the back panel, and the noise from the fan going against the built ice came back. We called Samsung again yesterday, then I decided to check some reviews. I start thinking we made a bad choice buying this product. We have few others, washer, dryer, stove and microwave not installed yet.

I built my new home in September of 2020. I purchased new appliances the Samsung hub refrigerator as well as the black stainless steel gas duo smart oven. After having and using the stove for about 11 months I notice that there were areas where the appliance was peeling. I was confused as to why stainless steel was peeling only to find out that the black stainless steel is a layer of paint. I reached out to Samsung as well as Best Buy because I did purchase the extended warranties only to be told that this was a cosmetic issue and there was nothing that they could do about it. After being told this from both parties I was devastated. I have spent 7k on these appliances and theyre starting to look like crap. It has come to my knowledge that this is a common problem and there are a ton of consumers in the same boat as me. Samsung should be ashamed of its business practices. It is obvious that the craftsmanship of their black stainless steel is not up to par. As a consumer that works hard for my money what makes you think that I would pay so much for a product that starts to peel within a year of having it. As a consumer there was no disclosure of any indication that that could/would be the case. Otherwise I would have just opted for the regular stainless steel and not the black stainless steel. It is mind-boggling that Samsung treats their consumers this way after we send our hard-earned money to only end up with defective products that they are not willing to replace.

DW80H9930US - My Samsung dishwasher was installed on October 25, 2014. The first call for repair was made on December 5th for a persistent water leak from the bottom of the door. The repair was made on Dec. 26th in which the venting system in the door was replaced. The next repair call was made on Dec. 31st for the same water leaking problem. The repair was made on Jan. 9, 2015 in which the venting system gasket was reseated. The next repair call was made Jan. 10th for the same water leaking issue from the bottom of the door. On Jan. 16th, the service man placed an order for a door latch replacement. On February 6th, the door latch mechanism was replaced. Water leaking and the door popping open without error codes mid-cycle continued. The most recent repair took place on March 14th, where the repairman replaced the whole door. No more water leaking has been noticed, however, one month after this repair, the door continues to pop open mid-cycle without any error codes. The time remaining does appear and flashes. I close the door, and it starts up again and with fingers crossed it finishes, but not without multiple door popping open episodes. Ive checked the strainer in the base and its not clogged with food particles. The top rack does roll forward, and Ive seen another posting about it becoming disconnected from the sprayer mounting at the back of the dishwasher wall. Perhaps this is the reason the dishwasher continues to stop mid-cycle without displaying error codes. My anger is with Samsung, not with P.C. Richard & Sons performance. I dont know, but one thing is for sure, when my 5 year warranty has expired (thank God, I had the smarts to purchase one), this dishwasher is going to the curb and I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance, nor will I recommend their products to anyone!Updated on 09/25/2015: the dishwasher seemed fixed after the whole door replacement back in March 2015, however, it has begun leaking again (mid-August 2015) from the lower left area at the bottom of the door (the same area where it leaked from the start).

Samsung RF217 - I purchased this model (32) after installing a 36 Samsung in my mothers house. I was impressed with the larger model and expected similar results. My initial displeasure with this model was only two door shelves are full depth, so youre limited to 2 shelves that measure about 6x 10 for tall items. The interior shelves have little flexibility and only allow for a maximum height of 9.5, so a lot of my tall items have to lie down (and hopefully dont leak). But my main complaint is one month after the warranty expired (there is 5 years on the refrigeration system), I began noticing water in the produce drawers, a lot. I emptied and cleaned the drawers till today, finally Id had enough and spent 2 hours melting the ice that blocked the drain tube. Lowes would not cover the cost of a service call since it was out of warranty and Samsung will not admit they have a design flaw. If you research this problem you will find it is a common occurrence, so I cannot recommend this refrigerator or brand until they remedy my problem.

First being I hate that no matter what temp you put the fridge on you will have to eventually manually Defrost because there is no option to do it by itself. Second even after googling how to defrost it you have to basically take it apart and do it yourself no matter what. Purchased our first Samsung fridge Feb 2012. 20 minutes after delivery, we noticed a cracked shelf. It took numerous calls and 3 months to get the correct shelf. In the meantime, they had sent 2 wrong shelves and a freezer door handle as a replacement part. In the spring of 2014, our fridge started to freeze up. It took almost 3 months to get it repaired. Again in November of 2014, the same issue arose about freeze up and the temperature settings were no longer readable. They (our retailer, Future Shop) finally replaced the unit. Two weeks in, yes you guessed it, water under the crisper drawers and freezing again. The unit was replaced (by Future Shop?) and a new one shipped to us. Two weeks later with the new one, the same issue has come again! Can this company not get it right?Through all of this, Future Shop has been a stand up company. They have looked after us wonderfully! We contacted Samsung and they said via email: we are not aware of any issues with our refrigerators. Perhaps they should read their online reviews??? We went back to our retailer today and they are replacing it yet again. This time however, we selected a Frigidaire! Enough with the Samsung product.

I bought our 4-door refrigerator in 12/11. About a month later, the right door bins started falling out. I called Samsung directly and ordered replacements. No problem. The wrong bins came so thinking I was responsible, I called and reordered them. About 3 weeks passed and I hadnt received them, so I called them again. I was told that the order hadnt been placed so I ordered them again. I still hadnt received them after another 3-4 weeks, so I called them again. I was told that they were ordered but they didnt know where they were? She placed the order again. Another month passed and I hadnt received them yet, so I called and asked to speak to their customer service department. The gentleman assured me that they were backordered (never heard that before) and that they were now in stock and he would ship them immediately. I called the following week to make sure that they had been sent. Some lady assured me that they were shipped on the 15th of September. That was September 15, 2011, today is 9/29/11. I havent received them yet so I called and asked for customer service again. This time, I got their executive customer service rep. I was told that their records showed I had received some bins in early July of 2011. No record of my corrected order. I explained to her that those were the wrong bins and that I had made several calls after that, reordering the correct bins. She just didnt know what happened but assured me that she was looking in to it. I had explained everything to her and then she asked me for my email address and said she would send me one regarding the circumstances. I asked her for a direct call instead and she said she could not make out going calls? That was this morning. Still no email. I called Sears, explained to them what had been going on. They said they had my warranty info and would send them out immediately. He repeated the description to me 3 times so there are no mistakes. He gave me his full name and direct number too. We always buy Sears products and I dont know why we bought the Samsung. Ill never do it again. They dont support their product in anyway. The only reason I gave it one star is because of the size. I bought a Samsung dishwasher (DMT800RHS) because I thought it would last for at least nine years (the average dishwasher LASTS 9 YEARS). Its only my husband and I at home... we use it once every 2-3 days. After 2.5 years we start noticing food left on the dishes. A week later, its not even spraying dishes. Turns out its the motor. We spent $150 to find out that it would cost another $450 to fix. DONT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. Im going to buy an LG because at least they warrant their dishwasher motors for 10 years.
