Samsung Lavadora Modelo WF45K6500AV
At the beginning of September 2014 my wife noticed water collecting in the left hand produce drawer, so we called the local authorized Samsung repair company to fix our refrigerator. Here it is at the first of February, and 9 service technician visits later, more than $250.00 in food ruined plus the Initial cost of the service technicians and 14 calls to Samsung at 1-800-SAMSUNG and were told its defective and they said they were giving me back the full cost of the refrigerator only to be told a week later that they were only going to give me $916, which is less than the full price. Nobody from Samsung has called me back, nobody from Samsung has e-mailed me. So now Im turning it over to my attorney in principle alone.
In 2016 we purchased a Samsung refrigerator and other Samsung kitchen appliances. The refrigerator Model RF25HMEDBSG is a piece of junk with the ice maker freezing over ALL the time. At first we called and had a tech come out to fix it. He mentioned that this is a very common problem. So after reading all the same issues others are having why is there not a recall on such a piece of junk. DO NOT waste your money. It happens so often, we keep a hair dryer near the fridge to defrost the darn thing so we can get ice. I will never buy another Samsung appliance.
I too have a Samsung refrigerator Model RF217ACWP French door, bottom freezer that drips water under the vegetable bins. Bought it in July 2012 and had the problem the first time just before the warranty expired. The repairman said that it is a common problem with this model. It was fixed under warranty but now a year later it does the same thing. Im sure it will cost a few hundred dollars to fix again but why should I put money every year into it. I too will never buy another Samsung product. Our 50 plasma TV started having problems 2 years after we bought it with no help from Samsung. They said that is why they encourage people to buy the extended warranty.
My Samsung French door 28 cu. ft. refrigerator was purchased in April 2011 from Lowes. It cost $2,800.00; that’s a lot of money. I had a Samsung washer and dryer and a big screen TV that I was happy with, and was not aware of any problems with their refrigerators. The other day, I tried to get ice from the dispenser and no ice came out; just water. I called Samsung and they told me to reset the icemaker. I told them we had ice but none would come out of the dispenser. We cleaned out the old ice, reset the icemaker, and waited 24 hours like they said. The ice maker made ice but none would come out of the dispenser. I called them back, and they said they would send out someone to look at it, but could not tell me how much it would cost. For some reason, I did not purchase an extended warranty; I have it on everything else. About a few days after purchasing fridge, my brother-in-law died and my husband had a heart attack at the funeral so I did not think about the warranty about a week later. I called Lowes trying to get one, and they could not as it was a week later. Then I called Samsung, and they would not give me an extended warranty; so I have none. Now I am left with a $2,800.00 fridge with no ice or pay the high price for a service man to fix it. We are seniors, and you would think that the icemaker would work longer that than 2 years. I have never had an icemaker go out on much cheaper fridges. Sorry, but this sucks.
Bought the Samsung Waterwall Dishwasher in Black Stainless Steel in July. It was not delivered on time, Lowes claimed that Samsung sends it when they feel like it and doesnt adhere to the deadlines they themselves create. My refrigerator wasnt delivered until late August! We had our first dishwasher leak in August, had to replace the kitchen floor! The dishwasher has had many problems with cleaning, Ive been told its due to the distance between the washer and sink. So I basically use it as a sanitizer. Started leaking again, called Samsung, they sent the information to a contractor in town. Contractor ordered parts, 7-10 business days to get the part!!! Are you kidding me??? An emergency plumber could come take care of this today!!!Ive been on the phone with them for hours today, there is nothing they can do to speed up this process. The best they can do is turn my water off so it doesnt ruin my floor again! Thats wonderful with a house full of people and Thanksgiving at my house. I bought brand new so I didnt have to deal with this. I guess Samsung just doesnt mean quality anymore.
I bought a refrigerator, range, dishwasher, and microwave; and both the dishwasher and microwave have broken down one month after the warranty expired. To make matters worse, the computer/touch pads make it nearly impossible for anyone other than a Samsung repair specialist to do anything. Even worse, when I contacted Samsung for online help on an error code I was getting on my microwave (SE), I was told to unplug the appliance and plug it back in. Well, in the words of Homer Simpson, duh. Thanks so much Samsung for nothing.
I bought a Samsung dishwasher Model# DW80F600UTS/AA about 6 months ago. Its no good and did not work out of the box. I was getting an error code that it would not drain on start-up. I had to call for service, explained the problem and a tech was scheduled to come and repair it in a week. Tech came, replace faulty part and it finally ran for the first time. Sure it ran but it has never cleaned the dishes very well and it always leaves a powdery residue on everything. The insides of the dishwasher has a build up of powdery residue in certain areas as well, especially on the bottom. Also I have noticed that it smells when I open the door even with no new dirty dishes in it. You would think that from a place where you pull clean dishes from that it wouldnt have a musty odor coming from it. It just makes me sick to know I have a new expensive dishwasher and I wind up cleaning more dishes by hand than I put in my dishwasher. I also bought Samsung microwave oven and stove but have not had a problem yet except that the clocks have to be reset every 30 months because one run fast and the other runs slow. From what I have been reading I am bracing myself for the other appliances to give me problems. I have not bought the fridge yet and I guarantee it wont be a Samsung! Best of luck to all of those who do not heed the warnings of myself and the others who have posted here.
My Samsung microwave oven was purchased about 4 years before a move across several counties and lasted there about 6 more years. The oven was dark, rated about 1000 watts, and always cooked at an even pace. A bag of popcorn at 3.5 Oz. was usually cooked at 2 minutes, any more scorching the bag. My family used the dinner dish recook setting often. Some dinner plates were frozen while others were not, but the oven cooked them to a nice & hot serving temperature. The oven worked well daily until that final day when it quit for good. We replaced it with another Samsung microwave oven.
I have bought Samsung French door refrigerator RF260BEAEWW in 2013.. It came defective since the freezer compartment never started freezing. The store took it back and delivered a new one. I had purchased 5 years warranty on it. And guess what, it is 5 years and 7 months and it broke down. The freezer quit freezing and refrigerator compartment doesnt keep cool temperatures well either. It did work 5 years that they guaranteed, but I would expect this big and expensive items should work longer and not break down right after warranty was over. My older refrigerator is 15 y.o and working just fine without a blip.I called Samsung and created a repair case. I decided to endure the repair cost than to buy a new one. I was too optimistic. Three days later Samsung called back saying that they are closing my case because ‘they don’t have repair technicians’ in my area!!! Just like that.. ‘It’s out of warranty, it’s in the area we don’t serve – so we are closing the case’, and it’s your problem now. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator ever again.
Ice Maker not working- Refrigerator not staying cold: Already had a tech out to repair the ice maker and the refrigerator and he replaced the ice maker and the back panel on the refrigerator with the two cooling fans. Less than two weeks later and we are experiencing the exact same issues as if nothing had been fixed. On doing research I discovered that this is a known issue and that Samsung used to replace the refrigerators with new ones, but that obviously got too expensive to continue. So now if you are out of warranty you are out of luck! Never buying a Samsung appliance again.
The refrigerator keeps icing up and water pools on the bottom of refrigerator compartment unit is five years old but have been having trouble with it for two years. Last summer, I called Samsung and told them what was wrong. They told me to call a repairman and they were not liable for it cause it was not under warranty. This is a manufacturing defect and is happening to a high amount of refrigerators. After paying $200 to get it fixed, six months later, the same problem occurred. Can the government get involved in this matter? Thank You.
Samsung RB195ACBN - I hesitate to write a negative review. This Samsung refrigerator is a lemon. It started having the freezing and water-under-and-inside-the-crisper problem that others are talking about here, about one year after purchase. Out of warranty and its a known issue so we are out of luck? That is poor support of the product by Samsung.
I purchased a Samsung refrigerator side by side (RS265TD) from Lowe’s (I still have my receipt) February 2014. In August 2014 the refrigerator section stopped cooling, lights on door not working/occasional blinking and I lost all my food supply I just stocked up for my children school. I called Samsung. They referred me to a service technician. It takes 3 weeks before a service technician has an available appointment for you. I have five children. School just started and this is a horrible... DO NOT PURCHASE A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!!!!
Samsung is the WORST product I have ever bought. My refrigerator is a piece of junk!! Every single side door compartment has broke. The bottom plastic on deli drawer breaks off in pieces. Because it is 1 year and 1 week later since I bought it Samsung will not replace it. So $1300 down drain they told me I can buy 5 new drawers.
Purchased a stove in January, 2017. Stove top worked but not oven. The service man came and replaced the computer in the top. A day later did the same thing came back and replaced the thermostat. 3rd time replaced the whole stove. Now the second stove top does not work or oven. Going to return stove to store myself and pick out another brand. Would not buy a Samsung stove.
More of the same. I brought the refrigerator RS261MDWP on 11-21-2011 at Best Buy. The freezer froze up and did not drain as designed. I took out the fan that cools the refrigerator side. I called for a repair. The repair company is CE in CT, rated F with the Better Business. I am now playing games with CE to come out to repair it. Now the freezers side is not working and the controller on the front of the unit is dead. It is plainly a piece of crap. I am now playing games with both Samsung and CE. Do not buy this refrigerator for even a dollar. You will be sorry. Looks like a lawsuit is the only way to correct the problem.
I have an STH9207 Over the Range Microwave. About 4 months ago, it (like many/most other similar models) went completely dead. After a huge amount of bureaucracy, I finally got Samsung to send someone out to look at it. The repairman was very familiar with the problem as he had already replaced MANY transformers in these microwaves previously. A quick look on the internet and it became apparent to me that I was the proud owner of a lemon. Nevertheless, the repair agency replaced the transformer in my microwave. Today, the microwave went dead again. I called Samsung and told them that. Obviously, their fix isnt fixing the units and that I would appreciate a replacement or a refund. The lady told me that they cant do that. Instead, they can only pay to have the unit fixed. Then, she looked at my purchase date and discovered that I was/am ONE week out of warranty. Likewise, she informed me that even though the unit was just repaired for the same problem a few months ago, they have no responsibility to make sure that the repair lasts. Honestly, Im temped to take Samsung to Small Claims Court. Its doubtful that they will send an attorney to represent them, but, even if they do, Ill present a ton of data supporting the fact that their microwaves are defective and that I am not the first one with such a problem. We can only hope that people look at this website before they invest in any Samsung appliance or product.
I purchased two Samsung appliances (refrigerator and dishwasher) in November of 2015 from Home Depot. I spent almost $5000 on appliances (fridge, dish washer and stove). Small rust spots started to appear several months after I bought the appliances in February (on the dishwasher and in March on the refrigerator). The rust spots kept growing and getting worse. I only used stainless steel cleaner on them. I spent 4 weeks trying to resolve this issue with Home Depot in March and then with Samsung warranty department in April with no luck. I am told that this is a cosmetic issue and is not covered under warranty. This rusting appears that at some point in the near future, it will rust entirely through the front panel. This is an issue with the materials used to produce this product. My two main concerns with their warranty clause regarding the rust issue are as follows:1- Stainless steel should not rust to this extent where the surface has actually become pitted and especially within 5 months of coming from the factory warehouse. This amount of rusting and pitting should never happen to a stainless steel item. I was asked does the appliance still work? Yes? Then it is cosmetic. 2- Stainless steel should not be magnetic. The steel used on these appliances are most likely a ferritic steel that has a high concentration of IRON which would also explain the RUST issue. A magnet can actually stick to the front of these appliances. They are a cheap grade steel. They do not disclose the type of steel used on their products nor do they disclose that the appliance could start rusting the day after you purchase it and it is not covered under warranty. Samsung should disclose this to their customers. If you are going to build appliances with ferritic steel then you need to call them stainless ferritic steel. At least tell your customers who are spending their hard earned money what they are actually buying. That would be the least that you could do. It is deceiving, and dishonest, and defrauding to the customers.I received no help whatsoever from Samsung after calling and trying to get help on the issue for almost 4 weeks. I was simply told that they do not warranty cosmetic issues. I am extremely disappointed with this product, with samsung as a company, with their response to my issues. I have spent hours to try to resolve the issues with little response other than rust is cosmetic and not covered under warranty. They take no responsibility for selling you a cheap rusty piece of junk.
Ill never buy a Samsung appliance again. The store warned us about the refrigerators and other big appliances but we thought a microwave should be safe. WAS WE WRONG!!! We have called them several times and no one seems to be able to fix our problem or even show up. Never again.
Very disappointed with Samsung microwave and lack of support for this widely reported issue. Microwave failed after 1.5 years which is pathetic. They may make decent phone, but stay away from their appliance if you know what is good for you.
We purchased a Samsung black stainless steel French door refrigerator 6 months ago. We love the fridge but it was time to change the water filter (water and ice in the door). I just found out I have to SHUT OFF THE WATER SUPPLY TO CHANGE THE FILTER--- MAJOR DESIGN FLAW. I either have to pull the fridge out from the wall (big fridge -- hard to do) or shut the main water valve off at the street. Thats just wrong... What a pain just to change the water filter every 6 months.
Did a kitchen renovation and bought a stainless steel 33 inch Samsung rf197 fridge. 3 months later it starts leaking water into the vegetable trays. The fridge freezes up. Everything inside is frozen and ruined. Ice builds up and stops the fan. After defrosting numerous times again ruined everything. Ice in fridge section again builds up and fridge shuts down again ruined everything. Compressor stops working for fridge section freezer keeps working. I am now on a first name basis with the repairman. Compressor stops 1 week before 5 year warranty up on compressor. Have to fight with samsung for repair. 18 months later the second compressor has gone. Enough is enough. Moved my beautiful samsung to the curb (no marks on stainless steel) and bought a different brand.
I too have purchased the bundle deal and I am having issues with the ice maker freezing up at least twice a month. The stove top has scratches even though I use a high quality set of pots & pans. Now I have what looks like small bubbles under the glass top. All I can say is never buy SAMSUNG. Fridge Model # RF28HMEDBSR/AA Stove model # NE595ROABSR/AA purchased 11/20014.
Had 2 repairs for the fan freezing up. 100$ a piece. Finally have that fixed. Noticed my lettuce was freezing, so looking to up the temp, notice the panel was all 4- 8s. Cant change it, called the Samsung co. Done their 2 troubleshooting ideas, neither worked so they said we will send a repairman out. I said not yet. Looking online to see if anyone has any ideas what it could be?
Range NX58H5600SS: Bad experience with this range. I was smelling gas and I call my gas company, I have warranty with them. I was so mad because its been over 3 weeks trying to resolve this problem, I spent like $800 on this range. They told me Samsung dont make this part any long or its on back order. Now I think I have to buy a new stove. I will not be buying this brand. Customer service is horrible. I have this stove less than 2 years. I had another old stove which lasted over 20 years and no problems. I am very frustrated. Why would they discontinue a parts and the stove is still selling in stores.
I bought a Samsung side by side and its only two years old and the Freon is leaking and Im calling a guy up to come and see if he can fix it because they said they would cover it. We will see. If I knew this I would not buy a Samsung because what you pay for it. Im renting one now. Don’t buy a Samsung.
Samsung dishwashers expensive and I still have to wash and rinse before I use it. I thought Samsung was the best but very disappointed.
I really want to share my bad experience with Samsung Microwave Model ME18H704SFS/AC. I wish I would google Samsung microwaves before buying one. I just read report from people who bought microwave in February 2016. I bought mine on May 2, 2016 from Best buy in Vancouver Canada. I also bought 5 years warranty on this microwave. On 28th day after purchasing we tried to warm up bowl of soup (in microwavable dish), and we felt a burning smell coming from microwave. When I opened the door I discovered a fire on the right wall of microwave. I was able to stop the fire with kitchen towel. I cannot operate this microwave any longer because it is a fire hazard in my house.Same day I called to SAMSUNG customer service. They gave a case number and told me that somebody will contact me. Next day I called them again and they transferred me to some kind escalation department. The manager from escalation department said that if he will get pictures and receipt from me now, he will speed up the process. I emailed him pics and have not heard anything after that. On Monday, I called again to customer service. The manager told me that she could not find me in her database, she also said that they were not able to open up my pictures. I told her to transfer me to the escalation department. After 30 min wait I was able to talk to a guy who confirmed receiving pictures. He also was able to open them up. He told me that he sent my case to the Head office. I asked him why nobody sent me a simple email with acknowledgement of receiving my email. He did not have any answer for me. I asked him what is the reasonable time to get an answer from Head office. At the beginning he said 48 hours and then he did not know. He also said that he has no idea what kind outcome I should expect. And just to add to this story... I called to the insurance provider for Best Buy. They told me that they cannot touch my microwave because it is a factory defect which appeared in first 30 days. I am not even upset anymore. This company is a joke. Samsung really needs to get a lesson for producing dangerous and unreliable appliances and treating consumers so poorly. I will wait for 48 hours (legally you have to give them some time to rectify the situation). If Samsung will not replace their lousy microwave I will take this matter to Small Claim Court and I really want to.
My Samsung refrigerator was out of order. I booked complaint no.** at their toll free no. The engineer came and replaced my relay part. He charged me. The refrigerator worked and there was proper cooling. Next day I noticed current in the body of the fridge. I called again. The service engineer came again. He told me that my compressor is faulty and you will have to pay rs.8500 for new compressor. I told him that my 165 liter fridge is not worth that much. Samsung engineers are not interested in repair. Later I discovered there was minor problem.
Purchased a new Samsung oven, dishwasher and fridge combo from Best Buy. Within 4 months of owning the oven, used very little, the oven started having serious issues. The oven would take forever to heat up, have to put it on 500 degrees to get it to heat up to 350 degrees. When you opened the door to put anything in the oven it dropped about 200 degrees. Have to wait for it to heat up again. In the middle of baking time, the oven would drop its temperature. Other times it would heat above whatever you place the oven temp on. Went to Best Buy, they had to call Samsung. Was going to be on hold for over a half hour so left and placed the called myself. When I finally got a hold of Samsung, they said they had never heard of anything like this before happening. They sent out a tech. The tech determined the whole motherboard needed replaced. Three weeks later the motherboard arrived and a tech came out and installed. Havent had problems since however for the oven only being a few months old the motherboard should not have failed. The fridge is very loud and the freezer causes freezer burn on everything. I am glad that Samsung had no issues sending someone out to repair it at no charge however they need to look more into what is causing the issue. It ruined our Thanksgiving dinner!
Purchased a Samsung Microwave from Lowes in December and by May it started acting up not coming on or it will work for a 2 weeks and stop again. Now here it is a month later and this time its no longer working. I called their service center to have it repaired and they have canceled 3 times. Its been 9 days that I have been without my microwave. Now they scheduled it again for Friday... 3 more days later. I will never again in life purchase anything from Lowes. And anyone out there reading this l would advise you to do the same.
We purchased this range about 4 years ago, and its been a ok stove. Lately we are having problems with the one large burner. It must stay on high heat. We been having problems with stuff burning quickly, even though at times you may have the settings set to low or even 4. Anyone out there experiencing this, it could be dangerous.
This is a side by side and seems to function very well. I have space in freezer for most everything I get and the refrigerator side is great in size also. It beeps if you leave door open too long while you are looking. For a side by side it is not too bad looking either. I love the freezer part to get ice and water and crushed ice also.
Bought this piece of crap French door bottom pullout freezer refrigerator made by Samsung with water and ice less than 2 years ago for $3000! Ive had 4 repair visits and I waited a 5th time yesterday with a no service show!!! Im frustrated because I have two small kids and keep having to throw away a ton of food EVERY TIME fridge dies. Ice builds up on back plate of fridge and water stops working! I wish people would get together and form a class action lawsuit so Samsung would be forced to refund all of our money!!! And stop making these useless refrigerators!
I bought a Samsung oven range microwave from Lowe’s about 6 months ago. The price was about $350. It almost burnt my kitchen down last night. Started making a sparking sound and then smoke came out. Smelled terrible. It’s dead now. Completely burnt up inside. Useless $350 appliance. Dont buy one.
I purchased a New Samsung RS261 refrigerator and just out of warranty, the ice maker broke. I am pretty good at repairs and research so after two days with online Samsung support, they recommended to call for service. I could not find anything online to help myself take care of the problem, so I called a local company that I have used in the past. I could not use this company because you have to be a special Samsung repair service, which Samsung only gave me two companies to choose from. They sent out the email service request, which after days, I had no response so I called. I called on a Thursday to that company and received a message that they were closed for the next 5 days for Labor Day. I have never heard of a company that is service-orientated close that many days. I then called the second company, which came out the following Thursday. I had given the information for what was wrong and they brought out the wrong part and needed to order the new one. Two weeks later, they came out and fixed the problem with a total work time of 20 minutes combined for both stops and $230.00 later, which was a good portion for what I paid for the fridge. After I called Samsung and complained about the first company, they referred me to the second. I still received a call three weeks after the incident that a tech from the first company was at my door to look at the refrigerator. What? Needless to say, I will not purchase another Samsung knowing that I dont have a choice to go with a service center of my choosing. My opinion: choose a product that can be serviced by any appliance center of your choosing.
I purchased a Samsung dishwasher less than 2 years ago. I have had it fixed 3 times since then. Its out again!!! Im done with Samsung!!! I wish I had of read the horrible reviews before buying one. Wont buy anything Samsung again!!!
Hello, I dont normally get on this and write reviews but the phone call I just had with Samsung just blew my mind. Weve had our stove for 2 years. I just noticed today that the exterior front of the stove is peeling off. It is extremely unsightly and never seen any other product stove peel like this or had had these kinds of issues. Should this be happening after 2 years? This peeling clearly states (from the outside) that its a cheaply made product. The best part is that I called Samsung to see if there is possibly anything we can do for this and to let them know that this is happening. They had no recourse whatsoever and that there is no warranty to cover such a thing.I kindly explained that now, its a thing and asked if theyd be able at least give me some idea on how to go about fixing this issue and they said, no. Then I said, Well then unfortunately Im going to have to write negative review. Is this what your company wants? and then they gave me a dissertation of why I should do that and where the information goes. With all of this said, wouldnt Samsung rather have a positive review by at least someone saying I called Samsung about my peeling stove and that even though there was no warranty to cover this, they provided me with a few service, or with some resources to help fix this issue.
We purchased a new Samsung refrigerator (Model # RF217ACPN/XAA) on December 5, 2011. On July 5, 2012, the refrigerator stopped cooling and freezer stopped freezing. Everything was lost. Approximately 12 hours later, it began to work. Again on July 12, 2012, it has stopped cooling and the freezer stopped freezing. Amazingly, the digital temperature gauges register the temps as in their selected range.
Oh, boy... like everyone else writing reviews, here, our Samsung French door fridge with the ice maker in the food section of the fridge is a piece of junk. ($3000.00 on sale for $2000.00.) The ice maker has been the biggest of problems... not to mention the flap on the left door, which allows you to close either door first, broke early in the game, requiring the left door to always being closed first. Where the glass components meet the plastic components, any spillage of liquid will seep under the glass and becomes a permanent stain. And theres more, but I do have a solution to the ice maker problem, so pay attention! We had an appliance guy out this week and he confirmed what I had thought all along: the ice maker DOES NOT belong in the fridge. But, there is a fix, which I did, and it seems to be working. FIRST: remove EVERYTHING from the fridge (Hopefully, you have a back-up, because youll have to turn off, or unplug the whole unit and let the entire unit defrost.) THATS the problem: frost. While this is happening, head to the hardware store and buy a tube of food grade silicone. There is a seam all around the ice maker box. Carefully caulk that seam with the silicone and let it cure for 24 hours. (Keep the doors OPEN.) If you do a really good job with the silicone, it will be invisible. The next day, the silicone will be dry and the odor will be gone. Fire her back up and return your food to the fridge. IMPORTANT!: set the temperature to 0 degrees in the freezer to help prevent excessive frosting. It has been 5 days and the ice maker has only jammed once, so I decided to empty the ice cube bin into plastic bags and move them into the freezer, where they belong, or turn the ice make OFF when the bin is full. But, we do have a working ice maker, now. It just needs a little TLC. Okay, now that we got past THAT, wanna talk about the engineering degree you need to remove and replace the drawers? Or, how about the brushed stainless steel exterior that will attract any smudge within a 50 yard radius. Can you imagine all of your appliances and electronic devices requiring this much attention? Gheeez.... okay... Its the worst piece of crap I ever paid more than 20 bucks for.
Don’t spend your money on the so called Smart refrigerator! The refrigerator itself sucks! Ice maker has never worked right, water leaks from water dispenser! You can’t open but the right door first or the ice maker will freeze! I guess they put all the work into the screen (which is no good without Samsung devices) and forgot about having a good working refrigerator. 5k down the drain!
Needed repairs within 3 years. Called first appliance repair company not with Samsung. Defrosted it and with service call charged me 296.00. Told me the noise and ice buildup was a compressor issue. Called Samsung and got a certified Samsung technician for another service call fee. Had the parts already to fix it. Apparently, they have problems with drainage, which backs up and causes freezing up. Not apparently under the warranty, though I am sure they know this French door model has these issues, or they would not have their technicians know exactly what is causing the issues and come prepared to fix it. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator again. Rip off! I am $600.00 in the hole for repairs for their faulty design. They should stand behind their bad designs and fix them at no cost!
I bought the refrigerator almost 2 years ago and about 6 months ago this problem started. Doing research and talked with a repair guy to see what the problem is, I took it apart on the inside and found frozen ice plugging the hole. Put hot water and melted the ice. I have done this twice and thought I fixed it, but the water continues to return. I have never bought this kind of fridge before. It looks nice but not a good appliance. The water continues to collect in crisper drawer and underneath.
A few hits and a few very important misses for the serious cook. The minimum oven temp is too high and the max oven temp is too low. Oven browns unevenly. Cooktop, glass IR, is better than most of its type. Overall, I would not buy it again.
We purchased our Samsung Fridge in 2013 for $2,700. It was considered to be top of the line product. 2 year we had it the trays in the fridge started cracking. Very cheaply made. Shortly after that our ice maker started freezing up and ice would not come out. We called the repair man, he came out and defrosted it and replaced some parts. Within a month it was frozen over again. The more we talked to the repair man we started to understand this was a very common issue and the fridge would of been recalled if it was from another company. SO THERE IS NO FIX FOR OUR FRIDGE. So out of frustration I contacted Samsung and they kept pushing me off and telling me it was out of warranty. SO THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT! VERY INTERESTED IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.
We paid top dollar for a Samsung dishwasher. I could not understand why it did not clean as well as my one that I got rid of that was over 15 years. It is old. I finally figured it out. You have to clean the dishes first before you put them in the dishwasher, new concept for a dishwasher. If you just scrape them off, in about a year you will have to replace the CASE Brake Assembly because particles get into it and you cant clean it out, as you once could in the older ones. The part is at least $80.00 not including labor. I have always heard you get what you paid for, not so with this, It is junk. Dont waste your money.
Bought Samsung refrigerator RF267AEBP in 2011 and has had problems with freezing the back of the inside wall as well as dripping water to the bottom of the pantry drawer. Piece of junk for a $2000 dollar fridge. Do not recommend this refrigerator and Samsung will not recognize this defect on their many products with similar problems.
19 days without a fridge is not acceptable. Over 13 phone calls to Samsung and being hung up on 4 different times only to have to call back to get resolution, that I have not gotten. I am now told it will be another 3-5 business days before I will be contacted to receive a replacement fridge. 24-29 days and no fridge is completely unacceptable. Someone has dropped the ball and no one wants to take ownership. They only want to say they are sorry. I asked if their CEOs fridge went out if he would have waited this long to have his/her fridge replaced. I bet the answer to this is absolutely not. They probably would have had it replaced within the week.I now am resorted to living out of a cooler with ice so my kids can have milk and cheese, and eating out because it is so wasteful to buy a meal to prep only to have the items spoil because there is no freezer to put my stuff in or a large fridge to put these daily staples in. Who wants to pay for my spoiled food? Not Samsung. Who wants to reimburse me for the need to eat out? Not Samsung. Who wants to replace my fridge in a timely manner? Not Samsung. Who wants to pay for my gas to have drive into town daily to get food? Not Samsung. Who is going to pay for all my wasted hours spent dealing with this debacle? Not Samsung! What recourse of action do I have aside of contacting BBB and filing a complaint? Help!
Beautiful stylish look, silent operation, and gets dishes clean, powerful enough for even the toughest of stuck on food, and no spots on glassware, yes it’s pricey but it looks good and does what it’s supposed to. And the best part is it’s backed by Samsung customer service, and customer service is the key factor for me.
The ice maker is a standard size and tends to produce ice adequately. HOWEVER, BE WARNED that Samsung ice makers are very poor quality. They tend to dispense crushed ice even when you dont want it. They definitely dispense broken bits of cubes constantly. I have contacted Samsung about this issue and their attitude is well, thats just the way it is, too bad. Its a shame that a $3,000 refrigerator comes with such an inferior ice maker and even a bigger shame that Samsung thinks its okay to sell you a fridge that spits ice in your floor every time you use it. Their customer service department said that if they send a technician out to look at it they will bill me because they dont consider this a defect. Huh?? Be informed before you buy a Samsung product.
When I tried to register the product at the Samsung site, it kept kicking me out to correct non-existent errors, giving me the suspicion they didnt want to accept my information or to honor the warranty. I got them on the phone and they cheerfully set-up an appt. with the only Samsung service available in a 75 mile radius, and I live just outside Chicago! Not sure what had happened to my brand new dishwasher, I decided to call the service outlet 12 miles from my home to inquire about the possibility of it being due to bad electric service. They informed me that the visit alone would be $138! I since realized it was Samsungs fault because I have 4 other electronic appliances that have been around for 5 years, trouble-free.But I also decided to Google trouble with this dishwasher and immediately found a website called: Consumer Complaints & Reviews. Apparently, I wasnt the only one who discovered too late, that the most important part of selling me a Samsung dishwasher is getting me to purchase it... Of the top 125 complaints, there are about 20-30 Best Buy customers. The typical breakdown concerns the Chinese electronic control panel which is what my problem is, according to the trouble code. The dishwasher will recover after about 4-8 hours, begins a new wash cycle and then a few minutes later, stops and blinks the LEDs.Ive had it for 6 months and used it 10 times. I have the original box of Powerball tablets recommended by Samsung. I live alone and usually wash a lot by hand instead of wasting energy, soap, etc. Im presently at home with a back injury and no dishwasher! I can only stand for about 2 to 4 minutes and Im still paying for the broken Samsung. So far, the cost is $50.00 per wash load!I called Best Buy for help. I wanted to trade this for a new dishwasher of a different brand and they offered to take the unit away for me, while there, delivering my new purchase! I got angry and said, I couldnt find out it was defective before your time limit. I dont have that many dishes. They asked me if Id bought the extended service plan and I got more angry. I said: Once you get it out the door, it’s next customer? What happened to standing by your product? Youre in this business, obviously, you know this is junk, why is it on your floor to sell to me?According to these bad reviews at Consumer Complaints & Reviews, Samsung had denied, blamed and dragged their feet at the customers expense for months at a time in many cases. So my worst fears about trying to clean my dishes with my injury are coming true! WHY Samsung? WHY Best Buy? I hope you have the decency to allow this review to be posted here, for the sake of your remaining customers, because Ive taken myself off your mailing list and cutting up your so-called: Elite membership! Just in case you censor this review, Ill be posting it all over the internet, everywhere I can, until my undeserved punishment is repealed by you or Samsung.
RF 217 /ACRS - We bought the refrigerator Dec. of 2012. In Nov. of 2013 we had to have replaced a evaporator assembly cover, a defrost temperature sensor and a evaporator drain clip because of water in our crispers. In Jan of 2015 we start having ice in the bottom of our right crisper, also the part under the crispers were a solid piece of ice. I called and spoke to a Samsung rep, he gave me some tips that might help solve the problem. Did not work. We called Sears they had a technician that fixes Samsung come, again the evaporator assembly cover was replaced the FF section drain was plugged, frozen repaired per SB water kit.
Purchased Family Hub refrigerator and had installed last Friday. On Wednesday the calendar would not sync with Google. I called Samsung and was told that with the new update the Calendar, White Board and Memo apps are being discontinued. I purchased this refrigerator with the Family Hub for the calendar so I could keep track of my familys appointments and see them at a glance. Nowhere on the web did it mention the calendar was being discontinued. The Family Hub feature cost me $500 over the same refrigerator w/o the family hub. Samsung knew they were working on removing these apps yet did not (as far as I can tell) let anyone know. The customer service gentleman that I worked with said that the businesses that sold these hadnt been told. Feel this was a total waste of my money as I didnt really need to get a new one, but wanted the convenience of the Family Hub calendar and since I gave away my standalone refrigerator and standalone freezer I cant really send this one back.
We bought this range, Samsung NX58H565OWS in October 2014. In 3 years of normal family usage, we have had to replace the thermal coupler twice. All the knobs that control the stove top have broken and the cast iron grates have even broken. In over 25 years of owning appliances, I have never had one that broke down in so many ways. Never had knobs or grates broken before and two thermo couplers??? To make matters worse, my local appliance repair company wont service Samsung, wish Id known that before I bought it, lesson learned. I understand why they wont service this badly constructed stove/range. When I contact Samsung for help, the first guy hung up on me. The second lady just sent me to the parts department so that I could purchase all the replacement parts I needed. Time to buy a new stove, never again will it be a Samsung. Really disappointed!
Our 2 year old Samsung refrigerator went out a week ago. After spending several hours on chat with Samsung and 1-1/2 hours on hold I was given a service company in our Des Moines market of 500K people (they have only one). I called them and was told it would be 2 weeks before they can get there. So I called around Des Mioines to get someone to fix the unit and no one would service a Samsung. I called Lowes where I bought the unit and they were able to have someone out in two days. The evaporator had gone bad so it is under the 5 year warranty but we are now waiting 10 more days to get someone out to install it. Beware of Samsung customer service and response time when you consider a purchase.
Purchased a Samsung oven June 5, 2016. Within 18 months the finish on the inside started peeling off. If you pull out the oven racks the finish is off, the bottom of the oven the finish is off. We paid $ 1700.00 for this oven and of course Samsung will not do anything, they say its cosmetic. Regardless if it is cosmetic or not an oven should last longer than 18 months, unless it is not meant to be used for baking or cooking. And of course if the powder coating is peeling then the cooking temp, will vary which it does, have hotspots. Samsung does not care about their customers, they sell crappy products. Now Im afraid to do the self-cleaning. Who knows what will happen.
Samsung Microwave Model #SMH2117S, Serial # J65B7WOD602622A - I dont have an Order Number or Receipt because this was a gift. This over the stove model was purchased on 2014, a Mothers Day Gift from my kids to me. I am retired and on a budget so they surprised me with the stove and microwave. I was able to select the items in the store, Conns, and I decided to go with Samsung, believing it would be the best buy. Well, I was wrong. Samsung microwave went dead on me last week, June 2016. I woke up at 5am to crackling sounds looming out in the quiet of the morning. I had heard the sound before but not as loud as this time. I stood around the kitchen dining area where I had followed the sound and waiting to hear it and again I heard the crackle and then it stopped. I was unsure and couldnt pinpoint it, so I went back to bed.The next day I discovered my microwave was dead, all lights off. I could smell a burnt odor as I opened the door. Came to realize that was the crackling sound. I thank God that it didnt start a fire. I contacted Samsung and of course, the microwave is out of warranty and after much of almost begging on my part, they offered to pay for the parts. The service is $80 for trip and diagnosis and $80 for labor, so Im stuck. A brand new microwave and still have to pay out of pocket for a defective appliance that now Im not sure if I can trust to run even after a repair if it can be repaired. What a disappointment. The microwave I had before was almost 18 years old and was still working properly. I just wanted new appliances. I wish Samsung would stand behind their product and make it right. There are too many dissatisfied customers.
The Samsung dishwasher we bought less than a year ago simply does not clean dishes properly. Weve tried everything, short of washing them with soap and water before putting them in. The service from Samsung is atrocious. I spent an hour and a half being put on hold and being asked stupid questions like is your machine connected to hot water. Buyer beware.
Very dissatisfied with this Samsung Dishwasher. Will never purchase one again. Very few features. Great size for loading a lot of dishes. Unfortunately, it doesnt clean them well. Great appearance! Bought it brand new at Lowes in October 2012. Within 60 days already not cleaning dishes well and called as it was under warranty. Screen was clogged with food of some sort. Worked for about 6 months and leaving white film on all glasses. Still does.
I really like the style and the size if the refrigerator, the ice maker sucks. It puts out very small ice and it is wet ice, a lot of it gets broke up, dont take long to melt!
We bought a Samsung range NE595R1ABSR in July 2012 when we were renovating our kitchen. We also bought a Samsung refrigerator and above stove microwave. We arent happy with any of these appliances, but the range is a safety hazard. The first incident happened when we had several guests for dinner. My husband and I were cooking and suddenly I felt an electrical shock and heard a loud noise and the electricity for the whole house went out. The Samsung tech didnt find anything wrong. I was scared to use the stove after that, but started using it again. A few months later I was just warming up something on low heat and when I touched the control knob it gave me a jolt, made a popping noise and the stove shut down completely. My husband had to reset the breaker, but I wont use that burner again or touch that knob. Samsung now says it isnt covered under its manufacturing warranty, but I have an extended warranty with the store of purchase. Although, I think Samsung should be responsible because they knew about it within a few months after I purchased it and they did nothing except tell me it was perfectly safe and nothing was wrong with it. I really dont feel safe with this stove and want my husband to put it in the garage. It also has a problem regulating the heat. I can never adjust it properly to cook food evenly. The burners just ignore the temp control and heat will go up and down erratically. The oven is the worst one Ive ever used. I used to love to cook, but now I really hate it.
We bought the stainless steel, french door model, with a bottom freezer. It was quite expensive, just under $2700 with tax. The big lure for us was that it has two ice makers, one up top where the ice comes out through the door, and one inside the bottom freezer where it just falls into a bin. Well, shortly after the warranty expired, the bottom icemaker stopped working. We called in a Samsung approved repairman and the cost to fix the icemaker was $448! WOW! We did not have it repaired, because we thought the cost of the repair was outrageous. Also, the remaining working icemaker (the top one), when set to dispense cubed ice, spits out some cubes and a LOT of bits & pieces of ice. Note: We do NOT go back and forth between cubed and crushed on the ice selection; it stays at cubed all the time. We probably will not ever buy Samsung appliances again.
So I bought a whole new appliance package when we had our house built and I bought all Samsung. We took possession of the house March 7, 2014 and a few days over the one year mark when I opened the microwave door it lost power. I tried resetting the breaker, and unplugging and plugging the microwave back in. Finally when I was about to give up I opened and close microwave door a couple of times and the power came back on. I tried contacting my rep who I purchased my appliances through but he didnt get back to me for a couple of weeks because he was out of town. When he got back I was told to contact Samsung directly. When I contacted them they said because I was over the one year mark my warranty was out of date and there was nothing they could do. When I talked to the repair company they said it sounded like a faulty door switch and it happens with Samsung quite often, so now I have to pay $100 out of pocket to pay for them to adjust the switch/wire in the door. Its more than a little frustrating that Samsung can get away with selling these microwaves with faulty door switches and wont stand behind their products.
Piece of junk. I have had coils freeze up in top compartment and the bottom freezer constantly freezes around the door subsequently causing the door to become ajar. I am reluctant to call repair person because it is ridiculously expensive. I hate this appliance. They were recommended by consumer reports. They need to look at it again. My mother had to finally get a completely different fridge after calling for at least six repairs. I will never purchase another Samsung anything.
I purchased a Samsung dishwasher, model DMT800RHS, S/N A3J7G9MCB02679R, paying just under $1000. After the very first load, it did not clean the dishes. The old dishwasher I had, prior to purchasing the Samsung, performed better! Attempts to get Samsung to replace the dishwasher failed. I have to wash the dishes by hand completely, 100%, before placing in the dishwasher. It gets NOTHING off! Why even have a dishwasher? Im upset because this company should stand behind their product, especially one that is in that price point. Shame on Samsung. Will be replacing this one, and it absolutely bothers me that I made such a costly mistake with a company I thought was reputable.
My husband and I purchased a new home July 2016. Kitchen had brand new appliances. We already had a repair done in Samsung dishwasher in which took over a week to get repaired. That was only after 5 uses. December 23, 2016 my refrigerator failed. Lost everything. Called the customer service at Samsung because they are brand new appliances. They should not be failing. The few people that I spoke to were not able to help get someone out. Spoke to supervisor. Got a local repair to come out that Friday to tell us what we known it was the compressor. Its a holiday weekend, company was coming and a baby in house. Samsung certainly did not see our frustrations. The guy at repair center said it will take 3 to five days for part to come in. That brings us to the middle of the week. Called repair center said it may be in Friday. I called Samsung again today 12/27/16 and told them the issue. Basically there is nothing they could do other than wait for the part even though it will be almost 2 weeks without a refrigerator that should not have failed (in warranty repair). I asked the supervisor at Samsung if they can expedite the part. She said no theres nothing they can do other than wait. Again I tried pleading my case. I have a baby in the house and other young children not to mention it is 60 out in RI today and losing everything in coolers. They did not resolve this pressing issue or the fact that I lost too and bottom of the food in refrigerator that is worth about 300 and the food I had to replace that I lost. Their customer service is just trained to patch the problem. They sound more like counselors than trying to make their product right.
We bought a stainless steel side by side refrigerator in February 2013. In less than a month, we had problems with the ice maker not making ice. They came out and did some type of repair and in another month, we had to call them again. The refrigerator is only 18 months old and should not be having problems at all (We had one that lasted 20 years). We talked to the factory rep via phone and they just basically said, Sorry, but its out of warranty. Too bad. It will be the last Samsung fridge we ever buy. In fact, we will probably junk it and buy an LG which we really do like a lot. Just not right to have unsolved problems and have to pay out of our pockets for the repair.
We bought our appliances from Lowes a little over 2 years ago. Our ref. the ice maker went out after a year and two months, cost too much to replace. Dishwasher wash glass and dishes about half clean. We would not buy anything of Samsung. We are not please at all with what we have. Look good but they are not what they should be.
We spent $3000 on this model fridge in 2016. By all accounts based on what Ive read about this issue, Samsung has known about the ice maker issue this model has since 2015 and did nothing to stop the sale of the fridges. The first time it happened, it being that the ice maker frosting over and water leaking out from the ice maker opening, it was two years after purchase and out of warranty, so we called a local technician. He charged us $370 to fix the issue. He said it was a very common issue with Samsung fridges and it had been going on for years. Two months after he left of course the issue came right back. Samsung is now changing its tune and is stating that they will pay for the ice maker itself and help us find a technician to come out and replace the ice maker. It will cost us another $250 to have the ice maker replaced and there is no guarantee that the new ice maker is any different than the one its replacing. My sister-in-law has the same fridge and has the same issue. My good friend has had other Samsung appliances lately and they have been terrible in terms of reliability. I am telling everyone I know to never buy a Samsung product again.
My light went out and could not get the bulb out. So I unclipped it and it was melted so I took down other light and same thing - just not as bad. Apparently Samsung has a lot of product fire safety issues. Check your refrigerator light sockets and let me know. I think this is is a huge issue and you cant tell unless you drop the lights down. Its hidden on top.
I purchased a Samsung dishwasher serial # DW80F600UTW at Home Depot in October 2013. The machine worked well until May 2015 when it began flashing an Error Code- smart auto +heavy=overfill. I contacted an approved service provider who contacted Samsung Technical Support and was informed that: a) There was a bulletin on that model regarding overfill issues. b) Three parts were required to resolve the issue. c) These parts would cost over $400. The repair technician advised me that this was a manufacturing problem and that I, as a consumer, should not have to pay the bill to have the problem repaired. I contacted Samsung and spoke with a customer service representative who referred me to the Executive Customer Relations Department who informed me that Samsung is not willing to provide the necessary parts to resolve the error code.I am not satisfied with this response. I purchased a machine that requires the parts mentioned above to work properly. I am sure it is not Samsungs policy to create machines worth several hundred dollars to only work for one year. This is not a problem created through customer use, misuse, or abuse; it is a problem created through faulty manufacturing. I am willing to pay the labor to have the machine repaired but I believe it is Samsungs responsibility to provide the necessary parts.
10 months after purchase contacted Samsung 11 months after purchase. Convection fan quit working. Oven wont reach temperature set for oven for example set for 400 but real temperature is 310. Does not cook properly due to oven problem and when it does cook it cooks unevenly. Cooked a meal and turned off oven. Came back 1/2 hour later, glass top was so hot that I could not put my hand on the glass top. I opened the oven door to cool it off and heat pour out of the oven for about 10 minutes (in pulses) and had to switch off breaker in electrical panel. Every so often when temperatures are not working properly the breaker has to be switched off and then on again to reset everything. Call center people generally dont know what they are talking to. Went through them several times then finally got a repair man to visit us. Had to run him down about 3 weeks later and he didnt remember coming to our house and the parts were not ordered.Back to Call Center, general runaround again. Had to check progress a couple of times online. Got very stupid and uninformed answers from them. Finally bugged them long enough that The Presidents Office called and said they would replace the stove. When I asked approximately how long she couldnt tell me.... 10 days or 2 weeks. Would be couriered to our home from their warehouse.....4 hours away??? 10 days later did a follow up and got an e-mail back: This e-mail is to remind you to return your Samsung NE595R0ABWW/AC/ SN: J0WG7DCC - It has been over 7 days and we still have not received the product. If you already sent your defective unit, please disregard this e-mail. Please be sure to return your set as soon as possible to the following address with the prepaid shipping label we e-mailed you.Never received the e-mail the phantom e-mail with shipping label (Why would I ship the stove out without the replacement being here). I phoned the repair station to where I was suppose to send the stove, it was 1 1/2 hours away and it would go right by one of their other stores only 40 minutes from our home. Next e-mail gave me the 1-800 number to phone again, they would help me. And the circle of denial has begun again. There is no honor here because they have not honored their contract (warranty) with the consumer.
I finally got my dream house in 2012, so I was excited to be able to buy all new, top of the line kitchen appliances! My husband told the salesman that he loves bells and whistles and that was the wrong thing to say! However, our excitement was short lived when each appliance started having problems. First was the dishwasher, next the refrigerator, then the range, and last of all the over the stove microwave. This all started just as soon as the one year warranty ran out.The smooth top, convection range causes me to burn food due to its constantly increasing temperature to high, no matter what its set on. The fan in the convection oven rattles. The icemaker of the 4 door French door fridge stopped working. The dishwasher throws out numerous error codes and stops working. The microwave constantly blows light bulbs and it starts running every time you open the door. We paid a small fortune to get these beautiful appliances for our fabulous new kitchen and wouldnt complain if we had bought them for looks only! Do yourself a favor and buy something that works and AVOID SAMSUNG!
A year and a half ago bought new Samsung side by side refrig. Now the fan for freezer stopped working. After many hours on the phone with Samsung with no response or help hired a repair service of our choice, since the Samsung approved repair company was not able to fix for 2 1/2 weeks and also was rated very poorly. Do not ever buy Samsung refrig. This is the second one we purchased, should have learned the first time. First one broke down twice on fridge side after 7 years. Never again! Please read all the reviews and beware!
Easy to use and clean. Love the two oven doors, which makes cooking much more flexible. Needed assistance as oven not heating at first, which was promptly resolved by Samsung. Only wish Range was part of Samsungs SmartThings portfolio.
This is a huge french style fridge with freezer in the bottom and water/ice in the door. This has double doors with lots of space in each door and tons of shelf space inside. We love this fridge. It has worked great for years, but does have 2 flaws that can be dealt with. The fridge temp rises and it has iced over in the center back vent. The cover must be removed and ice melted then move the thermo coupler down and uncovered to stop refreezing. In addition, the ice maker freezes up. Just remove the tray and blow with hair dryer. Even with flaws we love this fridge.
We purchased a French Door Samsung Refrigerator - model number RF4287HARS/XAA 2.5 years ago. We paid nearly $3000 for it at Best Buy. A little over two weeks ago the ice maker went out and soon to follow was the freezer and fridge. We called Samsung and after three phone calls of escalation they finally agreed to cover the diagnostic as an accommodation since we did not purchase the extended warranty. The repair guy has been here twice and has finally deemed it as non repairable. Each visit was over two hours and most of the time was spent with him on the phone with Samsung tech support. They replaced the CFAN and the main PCB but it still will not work. The repair company has sent 11 pictures to Samsung showing the error codes still coming up despite the repairs. Samsung is giving us the run around saying that they want the repair company to come back out. Not only are we out a very expensive appliance, $100s of food plus having to eat out mostly, we have lost countless hours on the phone back and forth as well as waiting on the repair guy. At what point does a company stand behind their product and actually take care of their customers? Samsung should be ashamed.
I am very dissatisfied with the range. The burners will not change from fast boil to simmer. Two technicians checked the range stating that there is nothing wrong with the burners. I was told that In order to change temperatures, I must turn the range OFF after using fast boil then turn range BACK ON to simmer! Also the black top is very difficult to keep clean. My previous Whirlpool was not a problem. I regret having purchased the 4-piece package. Even the dishwasher basket is not satisfactory. The microwave enamel chipped after 3 months use. I am very careful with my appliances. After saving for a few years to purchase I am disappointed...
Bought a unit in 2011, the freezer never worked properly. After 3-4 service calls Samsung FINALLY replaced our refrigerator NOT with the exact same model because it had been discontinued. In less than a year we began having the exact same issues with the new unit. After over 5 calls we still have a freezer that has completely stopped working. DO NOT BUY!!!!!
Since purchasing this fridge RF197ACRS from Sears Canada we have had problems. The ice maker needed to be replaced in the first three months. We have had repeated visits by the service technician because of water in the crisper drawers and ice build up under the crispers. We have followed directions in the manual and those of the technician to fix these issues without success. Samsung will not replace this appliance. It is now 3 years old.
After only 17 months, the magnetron on a stainless steel high end microwave by Samsung broke down. I called Samsung and they put me in touch with a repair company. I am sure it is Magnetron because the food will not heat up. I decided why bother with a repair that will cost me a minimum of $160 on the low end for a machine that was $269 new. What a nice looking piece of junk.
RF217ACPN - I have owned this refrigerator for about two years. After a year and a half, I started having ice build up in crisper drawers. Researched problem online and found YouTube video describing the problem and fix. Removed shelves, etc., and panel covering defroster coil. I found the coil covered in ice and the drain clogged shut with ice. Followed video by replacing defroster thermistor sensor and using hot water to de-ice drain. I have now gone through the hot water treatment three times, also relocated (slightly) the sensor, but problem keeps reappearing on a less than two-week cycle. I own two of Samsung TVs and a computer monitor manufactured by them. I love them and have no complaints, but the refrigerator design really sucks along with their support. Will never buy a refrigerator from them again. LG??? Same boat??? Korean made.
DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!! IT IS A PIECE OF CRAP!! ! I bought my side by side refrigerator in Dec. 2015. Six months later there was water under the crisper drawer and the freezer froze over. I cleaned the water from the crisper drawer thinking it was possibly a one time thing. It happened again, and again. I cleaned it up. I called Samsung in Dec. 2016 and they sent someone out to fix it. Well by the time they came out and fixed it the 1 year warranty was up. It happened again and it was only 15 months old. They refused to do anything about it. And now the ice maker shoot is leaking water and the ice is slushy. I bought it from Conns.
Ive only had my Samsung dishwasher a month and I am in love. Im so glad I chose Samsung! Its so quiet that I can actually run it while I still have company without being disturbed. It cleans wonderfully and my contents are actually dry at the end of the cycle.
This SAMSUNG refrigerator is less than two years old and its already had numerous service calls. 1) ice maker did not work. There is a class action suit for this, 2) handles easily break off due to ridiculously cheap plastic parts, 3) lower shelving is very difficult to clean, 4) poorly designed; retractable door guard (again) easily breaks, 5) poor customer service - average wait times are one hour so rely on callbacks from India and finally, this all means 6) poor value for your hard earned money. Unfortunately, some of the other models and brands arent much better. Save yourself the aggravation and avoid this model. Samsung should stick with making TVs and avoid making refrigerators. If you ignore this advice then at least consider an extended warranty. You will definitely be using it.
Since I bought this refrigerator the ice-maker jams and stop making ice. I have to manually pull the ice tray and wait for the ice to melt, put the ice tray back and hope that it will work. This happens every to 3 weeks. While it was under guarantee they will fix it. Currently I have no guarantee and it will be too expensive to have it repair by some else.
For the fourth time the in-door ice maker has stopped dispensing ice. When we remove the ice tray, there is a large chunk of ice in the back of the ice maker. We defrost and reinstall the ice dispenser and it works for a month or so, then freezes up again. Very frustrating. The refrigerator is less than one year old, the 31 cu.ft. French Door model.
All of our Samsung appliances have broke in less than 2 years. Throwing codes, or just completely breaking. Items include Refrigerator, Oven, Dishwasher, and Washer. All purchased less than 2 years ago and all currently not working properly or not working at all.
Samsung has fallen so short on their appliances (refrigerator) that from the first week I had to have our refrigerator serviced, and it has been a total flop since the beginning. If you put anything in the freezer it makes terrible noises and now my lights on the outside panel wont light up.
In 2011 we purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator based on the twin cooling system. I love the French door style but the paint peeled off one of the handles within the first 90 days. I contacted Samsung and they told me it was a maintenance issue and it was my problem. They referred me to a parts supplier and I was prepared to buy a new handle (I had no choice) but none were available. They were to contact me when they had one. Now they are discontinued and I cant find one anywhere. I spent over $1,000.00 on a refrigerator that looks TERRIBLE.
RF266ABRSXAA French Door Refrigerator - We paid good money for what we thought was a high-end appliance. The refrigerator quit cooling and iced up. We called Samsung and were told since it was out of warranty, to have a local service tech take care of it. $350 and two weeks waiting on parts, it still has the same problem. Now they say its the computer and control panel... $450 to fix and no guarantee that will take care of it. Samsung has climbed to the top of my Do Not Buy list!
The refrigerator was purchased by the previous homeowners less than five years ago. They had it serviced 3 times prior to us buying the home in July 2019. My husband and I have had 3 service calls just since July 1st 2019 each problem different from the last.
It seems that we are not the only ones to experience water/ice machine problems. Our fridge is under two years old. It has always leaked out of the water dispenser and down the side door after dispensing ice. The water coming out is never cold. Last night I used the water dispenser and it got stuck on dispense. I tried to stop it by pulling/pushing the lever, but it continued to spill all over the floor. We had to quickly shut off the water behind it. It continues to leak and Samsung says this is not covered. Ridiculous. $2600 fridge breaks in less than two years and it is not under warranty??? Worst fridge ever! I hope that there is a recall on these components. They should not be doing this within the 5 years.
I purchased this about 16 months ago. Loved the ability to make it into 2 ovens. Unfortunately even though its a self cleaning oven it got too hot when it cleaned the oven and fried the electronic board, so I paid 475.00 to fix a almost new stove. Sounds like over heating stoves and phones is a major problem for Samsung.
My wife and I bought the beautiful new dishwasher and from day one using it the machine doesn’t wash our dishes. If I could give this dishwasher a negative rating I would. It doesn’t deserve a 1 star. We’ve had 3 service calls where techs can’t find anything wrong with it once they run their diagnosis. The tech have given us advice on different types of washing cycles or soap to use and our dishes continue to come out dirty. We’ve even been hand washing prior to putting them in and still come out filthy. Samsung has been horrible to deal with as they just continue to say there is nothing more they can do for us at this time even though they understand it’s not washing. I would never purchase from them again as they do not stand behind their products. I’m not asking for much. Just a dishwasher that washes the dishes. Service ticket number # **.
In 2017 I replaced my kitchen appliances. I purchased a fridge (also reviewed), a range and a dishwasher. It was NOT an improvement. The dishwasher was quiet. Period. It does not dry. It did not dawn on me this would not be an option! It also was not a cheap appliance. It was a nuisance but if that was the only issue I would deal. It also did not wash. Not even close to my old, cheap, noisy dishwasher I replaced. I will never buy another Samsung appliance- lousy products that are overpriced with poor warranties- Buyer Beware!
Just got a brand new french door refrigerator from Lowes. The unit makes loud rattling noise every 30 minutes or so. I called Samsung and they sent out their techs, who said that the noise was normal. The noise is so loud I could hear it in the other rooms. Do not buy from them!
This is the first and last time that I will write a review for a Samsung product, because I will never be purchasing one again. Until my last experience with Samsung, I believed that they were a good company with solid products. As a consumer, I expect my product to work as designed and for that manufacturer to stand behind whatever warranty may accompany that product; pretty simple. I have never actually taken the time to write anything like this and post it on the internet, but here is my story and I truly hope that it dissuades anyone from purchasing a Samsung product under the false assumption that you have the backing of the manufacturer if anything should go wrong with your product.I purchased my dishwasher (Model # DW80F600UTS) in mid April of 2014 from Lowes. I paid around $500 and for the money, it did the job. In February of 2015, less than a year after I purchased the unit, it started having problems. Like you might read on countless other reviews and forms, the smart auto and heavy lights would start flashing 10 minutes into the cycle, the dishwasher would drain, and the dishwasher would not clean the dishes. Upon investigating the issue, I discovered that this is an indication that there is a problem with the float switch. Again, simple problem, but with the number of issues related to this one topic, it is very clear that there is a defect in the dishwashers design. Here is a complete list of the calls I made to Samsung and the numerous challenges I encountered:February 18, 2014 - Called and described the problem. Samsung contacted an appliance service company (So Cal Tech, Inc.) in my area to address the issue. February 20, 2014 - Service center calls me to set an appointment to fix the issue once they receive 2 parts, the float switch and main board. Parts will be in in 2 days and we will be there to fix the dishwasher. February 26, 2014 - I call the service center because they have not called to set an appointment. The parts arent in yet, we will call when they arrive. March 2, 2014 - Service center calls and sets the appointment to come fix my dishwasher. March 5, 2014 - Repairman arrives. Extremely rude to my wife. Curses his company as he tells her that they only sent him 1 part he needs. Repairman leaves, dishwasher not functioning. I call the service center... We will have the part in in 2 days.March 9, 2014 - I call the service center because they have not called to set an appointment. The part isnt in yet, we will call when they arrive. March 16, 2014 - Part arrives, repair scheduled. March 19, 2014 - Repairman arrives, installs the main board. Dishwasher appears to run ok, but after the repair man leaves, it does the same thing. I call Samsung and I am told they need to fix the float switch again. I tell them that I am not going to accept that, so I am transferred to their executive customer service team. I explain the issue and they put it in review to have the unit replaced. I am promised that they will call back within 48 hours.March 26, 2014 - Instead of a call back from Samsung, I get another repair center. This time they tell me that I am going to be charged for the service. I say absolutely not, and that I will call Samsung. Again, I am transferred to the executive customer service team, who states they dont know why I wasnt called back and they couldnt find a note on the review in their system. Again, I am told that they are going to review the case for replacement and that I will hear back in 48 hours.April 2, 2014 - Samsung never calls back. I call again. Transferred to the executive customer service team. This time, I tell the nice lady on the other end of the phone that I am not going to accept a call back and that I wanted to speak to someone that could resolve this issue immediately. She talks over me for a minute, reciting the process that I have to follow, after which, she hangs up on me. I call back, enraged, transferred to the executive customer service team. Find out that the lady that just hung up on me has closed my pending issue ticket. I explain what I have been through, I am promised a call back from the supervisor of the executive customer service team.April 9, 2014 - Guess what, Samsung never called back. I call, get transferred to the executive customer service team and like an idiot, I allow them to do ANOTHER review. I ask the representative to take notes on the entire story. At the end, I ask what he has written down (there were several times I was on hold for him to put the notes in the system) and he hasnt recorded a single note. We go through it again, he reads it back to me. And I am PROMISED a call back in 48 hours.April 15, 2014 - Getting sick of this yet? I am. No call back from Samsung. What they did do, is have another service center call me and offer to come fix the dishwasher. Just as I am about the explode, they also inform me that I am out of warranty and that I will be charged if they come to fix it. April 22, 2014 - Now Im here. 20 hours on the phone with Samsung over a $500 dishwasher and all I ever wanted them was to stand behind their product. Thanks Samsung. Dishwasher is still not working and I am done spending my time on trying to get Samsung to do anything about it. If you read this and still buy an appliance from them, then I hope you spend a couple hundred extra bucks on an extended warranty... youre going to need it.
In reading recent posts, I realized that I am not alone in my dissatisfaction and anger over my relatively new Samsung refrigerator. First, upon purchase, it took over three months for delivery, despite the fact that I was told it was in stock at the time. After a year and a half, the ice maker broke. Then it started to warm up and then it sounded as if it was ready to explode. Repair service after repair service was called. Its been three months and Samsung is not delivering, not making part to repair. This has been the worst purchase I have ever made. Buyer beware, proceed with caution!
Our Samsung RF26HFENDSR/AA French door with lower pull out freezer has repeatedly iced up around the fan, the coil and the vegetable/fruit drawers. I have replaced the tab that keeps the drain for the coil from freezing up and ensured that the drains were patent. I also checked to see that the fan was working...But it froze up again within two weeks. On review of literature, it may be that the heater is shot. There have been so many issues with this online, it would appear that this is a major design flaw. Samsung should address this and help the public out.. Trying to get help online from Samsung is very poor. I have multiple Samsung appliances, phones, watches, etc and if this is the way they are dealing with the public, they have lost me as a customer!
